- 0:02Speaker 1: Now, 710WOR presents The Mark Simone Show. Hey, it's Friday. Yeah,
- 0:10Speaker 1: it's Friday. Well, we've got a lot to get to.
- 0:14Speaker 1: This ice shooting was an awful incident last night, but
- 0:17Speaker 1: what really happened, we'll get to that. We'll get to Iran.
- 0:21Speaker 1: We'll get to the firing squad that's going to take
- 0:24Speaker 1: place today. Yeah, right here in the United States. We'll
- 0:26Speaker 1: get to Crazy Mayor Mamdani. We'll get to Bruce Blakeman. Actually,
- 0:29Speaker 1: he'll be with us. And we'll get to the debates,
- 0:32Speaker 1: a couple of big debates last night. Now, last night
- 0:38Speaker 1: there was this ICE shooting in Marble Hill in the Bronx. Naturally,
- 0:47Speaker 1: Mayor Mamdani jumps to conclusions, goes off half-cocked, knee-jerk reaction.
- 0:54Speaker 1: The officers, the ICE officers, now according to them, we've
- 0:59Speaker 1: got to wait until we get the actual Full details.
- 1:02Speaker 1: There might be body cam footage. Apparently the New York
- 1:06Speaker 1: City surveillance cameras that are everywhere didn't capture the actual shooting.
- 1:10Speaker 1: But what ICE is saying, and if this is correct,
- 1:15Speaker 1: it was a justified shooting. You can hear a lot
- 1:17Speaker 1: of Democrats yelling and screaming about ICE. But what the
- 1:21Speaker 1: officers are saying is that as they tried to stop
- 1:23Speaker 1: the car, the guy in the car, who's a career criminal,
- 1:27Speaker 1: with gang ties, career criminal with gang ties. He did
- 1:29Speaker 1: have a five-year-old boy in the car with him. It's
- 1:32Speaker 1: believed it's his son, but this is a career criminal.
- 1:36Speaker 1: They've dealt with him before. They're out to arrest him. Now, remember,
- 1:39Speaker 1: when you're a career criminal, you've already tangled with law
- 1:42Speaker 1: enforcement a lot of times, and you've already tangled with ICE.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You tend to not want to get arrested again. So
- 1:49Speaker 1: you might do anything to avoid arrest. So what they're saying,
- 1:52Speaker 1: ICE is saying, is that as they tried to stop him,
- 1:56Speaker 1: He took his car and tried to run them over. Now,
- 1:59Speaker 1: if that's the case, any law enforcement agency, you're justified
- 2:03Speaker 1: in shooting. If he's trying to run you over and
- 2:06Speaker 1: kill you with his car, you can shoot. They fired
- 2:09Speaker 1: seven shots. There's only one bullet hole in the windshield,
- 2:13Speaker 1: which would indicate six shots missed the windshield. Now, naturally,
- 2:19Speaker 1: Mamdani has no use for ice, goes off half-cocked, yelling
- 2:23Speaker 1: and screaming. about how awful ICE is.
- 2:26Speaker 2: New York City will not stand by while ICE agents
- 2:29Speaker 2: shoot New Yorkers. And we will not back down from
- 2:32Speaker 2: the demand that so many, including myself, have put forward
- 2:36Speaker 2: time and again. This is an agency that must be abolished.
- 2:40Speaker 1: ICE is not shooting New Yorkers. What they're doing is
- 2:42Speaker 1: they're trying to arrest career criminals, illegals here illegally, who
- 2:47Speaker 1: are criminals committing crimes. They're not going after any New Yorkers.
- 2:50Speaker 1: They're just going after illegals. who aren't supposed to be here,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and even though they're here illegally, are committing crimes. Mamdani
- 2:58Speaker 1: going crazy. I've never seen him that angry. But he
- 3:02Speaker 1: was apparently on the phone over a two-hour period, on
- 3:06Speaker 1: the phone with President Trump. The guy went to the hospital.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He was taken to the hospital. Apparently, he wasn't hurt
- 3:11Speaker 1: that bad because he was released from the hospital and
- 3:15Speaker 1: then taken into ICE custody. Mamdani, one of the things
- 3:19Speaker 1: with Trump, Mamdani demanding he be released from to New
- 3:23Speaker 1: York City, ICE is not going to do that. Here's
- 3:26Speaker 1: his mom and dad.
- 3:27Speaker 2: For the past two hours, I have been on the
- 3:29Speaker 2: phone with President Trump and Secretary Mullen negotiating the release
- 3:35Speaker 2: of the man ICE agents shot. Those negotiations were unsuccessful.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Just moments ago, ICE put the man in an unmarked
- 3:44Speaker 2: vehicle and whisked him away.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, which it's supposed to do. Basically, this is just
- 3:49Speaker 1: following the law. You've got to follow the law. Whatever U.S.
- 3:51Speaker 1: law is, that's what you do. And Mamdani just can't
- 3:56Speaker 1: seem to... Well, a lot of left-wingers, they think there
- 4:01Speaker 1: should be an exception to the law for illegal aliens.
- 4:05Speaker 1: They just think they should... There's a bunch of laws
- 4:08Speaker 1: there they think should not be enforced. Now, the DHS
- 4:13Speaker 1: will have a press conference this morning. They'll address this. Now,
- 4:16Speaker 1: If there is body cam footage, there should be. Holman
- 4:20Speaker 1: had promised all these agents would wear body cameras. But
- 4:23Speaker 1: if that's released, that could settle the whole thing instantly. Now,
- 4:26Speaker 1: there were no witnesses. There were witnesses that got there
- 4:29Speaker 1: after the shooting, just after it. They saw the aftermath
- 4:31Speaker 1: of it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: ICE agents tried to barricade the guy in his car,
- 4:34Speaker 3: a couple of cars, and tried to drive away.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And they shot at him multiple times with his five-year-old
- 4:40Speaker 1: baby in the car. The baby's fine. He's apparently stable
- 4:43Speaker 1: in the hospital. But we think that he aligned to
- 4:45Speaker 1: us to keep the neighborhood calm. Yeah, he did have
- 4:47Speaker 1: a child with him. His mom, Donnie.
- 4:48Speaker 2: School had just gotten out. The street was crowded with
- 4:52Speaker 2: families and children. When ICE agents opened fire, a five-year-old child...
- 4:57Speaker 2: A five-year-old child was in the backseat of the car.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Thank God that child is physically unharmed.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, remember, it's possible ICE is totally wrong here.
- 5:09Speaker 1: There was no reason to fire. We haven't seen this
- 5:11Speaker 1: body cam footage. We don't know exactly what happened yet, but...
- 5:15Speaker 1: But you get these Mamdani types who are running around
- 5:19Speaker 1: yelling and screaming that ICE is a terrorist organization, that
- 5:22Speaker 1: they should be taken off the street, they should never
- 5:24Speaker 1: be elected. Listen to Mamdani.
- 5:26Speaker 2: We know that ICE is rotten to its core. Today's
- 5:30Speaker 2: shooting is only further devastating confirmation of what we have
- 5:34Speaker 2: long known. which is that ICE operates with impunity, that
- 5:38Speaker 2: they sow chaos and terror across our country, that they
- 5:41Speaker 2: have killed far more of our neighbors than they could
- 5:44Speaker 2: ever have claimed to save.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean, that's just total nonsense. ICE has made almost
- 5:50Speaker 1: a million arrests, a million. This type of incident that
- 5:54Speaker 1: we just saw, how many out of a million? Three.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Three out of a million. It's a pretty good track record.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Very good track record. So, And I don't think he's
- 6:05Speaker 1: aware that most Americans, maybe not right in New York City,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but most Americans want these laws enforced. They want these illegals.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And they're not just going after illegals. They're going specifically
- 6:14Speaker 1: after illegals who are criminals, who are committing crimes. Most
- 6:19Speaker 1: people want them taken off their streets. Somebody who's a robber,
- 6:22Speaker 1: a rapist, a gang member. Most people want them taken
- 6:26Speaker 1: out of their community. So most people are for ICE.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But again, Mamdani got really heated. yelling and screaming, and
- 6:34Speaker 1: luckily the police commissioner was there just trying to go
- 6:38Speaker 1: over the facts.
- 6:38Speaker 4: The individual who was shot has been identified as 28-year-old
- 6:42Speaker 4: Oscar Belgal. He has two prior arrests in New York City,
- 6:46Speaker 4: one for robbery in 2023, in which he pleaded guilty
- 6:50Speaker 4: to fourth-degree grand larceny and received five years probation, and
- 6:55Speaker 4: one for criminal sale of a controlled substance in 2025,
- 6:58Speaker 4: which is still pending. Based on evidence collected at the scene,
- 7:04Speaker 4: we know that at least one ICE agent discharged the
- 7:07Speaker 4: seven rounds, striking the driver in the neck below his
- 7:11Speaker 4: left ear.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Again, he got out of the hospital. He's now in
- 7:15Speaker 1: ICE custody. Well, we'll get back to this. President Trump, busy, busy,
- 7:22Speaker 1: busy this weekend. Every day he's going to be traveling somewhere.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Today he goes to Syracuse to campaign. Now, it's believed
- 7:29Speaker 1: that Bruce Blakeman will be there campaigning with him. We'll
- 7:34Speaker 1: talk to Bruce Blakeman later on the show. We'll ask him.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But it would be the first appearance together. So President
- 7:40Speaker 1: Trump campaigning in upstate New York today. Tomorrow, Saturday, he
- 7:45Speaker 1: goes to Tennessee. Then he goes to Alabama. This is
- 7:48Speaker 1: all in the same day. Then he comes back to
- 7:50Speaker 1: the White House. Then Sunday, he'll be in Virginia. So
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's a busy, busy campaign schedule. Midterms, the president will
- 7:59Speaker 1: be working his tail off, going crazy, trying to wrap
- 8:03Speaker 1: up the midterms for Republicans. It looks a lot better
- 8:06Speaker 1: for Republicans than the public polls are saying. These public polls,
- 8:12Speaker 1: the metrics are absolutely rigged. They dramatically undersample Republicans in them.
- 8:19Speaker 1: They don't use likely voters. They use what they call adults,
- 8:23Speaker 1: which means whoever they want. They don't use the right demos.
- 8:27Speaker 1: This is all deliberate. This is all to make it
- 8:29Speaker 1: look like it's hopeless. It's to suppress Republican turnout. In
- 8:35Speaker 1: the real polls, Republicans, Democrats, it looks pretty much neck
- 8:39Speaker 1: and neck. And there's a key factor that you got
- 8:45Speaker 1: to look at. Since it's neck and neck, the election
- 8:50Speaker 1: will be determined by turnout. Whichever side gets the best
- 8:52Speaker 1: turnout wins. Well, right now, turnout looks like it's favoring
- 8:56Speaker 1: Republicans because their registration is going up. Whoever recently registered
- 9:02Speaker 1: is most likely to turn out. Listen to the CNN pollster.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Okay, you see the polling over the last two years
- 9:08Speaker 3: really moving in the Democrats' favor, but are they actually
- 9:11Speaker 3: gaining in terms of registration, at least compared to where
- 9:13Speaker 3: we were two years ago? Well, I think this makes
- 9:16Speaker 3: it pretty simple, right? Pretty simple. In Pennsylvania, no.
- 9:19Speaker 1: North Carolina, no.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Nevada, no. Arizona, no. There may be some tiny late
- 9:24Speaker 3: gains that are going on right now, right, that I
- 9:26Speaker 3: think over the last month maybe Democrats are getting, but
- 9:28Speaker 3: when you take the longer-term view versus the 2024 election
- 9:32Speaker 3: in which Republicans won all of these states, Democrats are
- 9:35Speaker 3: in fact... not actually gaining.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Ground wow so uh interesting republican turnout uh registration is
- 9:44Speaker 1: up in a lot of places so hey there were
- 9:46Speaker 1: two big debates last night now nobody uh saw the
- 9:50Speaker 1: attorney general debate because it was on new york one
- 9:53Speaker 1: nobody sees new york one the democrats are deliberately refusing
- 9:57Speaker 1: to do debates the only thing they'll do is new
- 10:00Speaker 1: york one's two reasons one nobody sees it two new
- 10:04Speaker 1: york one is the most biased left-wing media outlet in
- 10:07Speaker 1: new york totally biased it was leticia james who's up
- 10:11Speaker 1: for re-election you can get rid of her this year
- 10:15Speaker 1: in 25 days you can get rid of leticia james
- 10:17Speaker 1: so she was to Debating the Republican attorney general candidate.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Very good. Would be a very good attorney general. Vote
- 10:24Speaker 1: for the Republican. I tell you her name, but nobody
- 10:26Speaker 1: can pronounce it. It's Kamaradi something. But just look for
- 10:33Speaker 1: the Republican attorney general candidate. That's who you want. Letitia James.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And by the way, if you want, you can go
- 10:40Speaker 1: on YouTube or somewhere and see this debate last night.
- 10:43Speaker 1: This Republican candidate was very strong against Letitia James. hit
- 10:48Speaker 1: her with some great shots and Letitia James getting backed
- 10:53Speaker 1: into a corner, didn't know what to say. So she
- 10:55Speaker 1: started making up crap and she started spewing these old lies.
- 10:59Speaker 1: At one point she even said, President Trump put kids
- 11:02Speaker 1: in cages. Now it's New York One, so the moderator
- 11:07Speaker 1: naturally didn't say, hey, that's not true. That's a false story.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's not true. It's just fake news. I mean, totally
- 11:13Speaker 1: just a lie out of the mouth of Letitia James.
- 11:18Speaker 1: you might be saying, wait, I saw the pictures of
- 11:19Speaker 1: the kids in cages. Yeah, there were pictures of that.
- 11:22Speaker 1: They were all taken in 2008 during the Obama Biden administration.
- 11:27Speaker 1: That's who put the kids in cages. Those pictures were
- 11:30Speaker 1: all done by that Cleveland newspaper, 2008. That's the kids
- 11:34Speaker 1: in cages. That was Obama and Biden that did that. Hey,
- 11:37Speaker 1: later today, there's going to be a firing squad for
- 11:42Speaker 1: this terrorist. This is an amazing case. The guy, becomes
- 11:47Speaker 1: an officer. He's a military guy on our side, an officer,
- 11:54Speaker 1: and then somehow becomes a radical terrorist. He goes nuts
- 11:59Speaker 1: on a military base and takes a rifle, a gun,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and starts shooting everybody. He killed 12 of our soldiers.
- 12:08Speaker 1: He shot 20 others. I mean, he's an absolute terrorist
- 12:11Speaker 1: at Fort Hood. He went absolutely nuts, an army major.
- 12:17Speaker 1: just went crazy and started shooting our soldiers and killed
- 12:22Speaker 1: a lot of them. Well, he was convicted death penalty.
- 12:26Speaker 1: They've decided in the Trump administration, Pete Hegseth has recommended it.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Trump has approved it. They're going to have a firing squad.
- 12:33Speaker 1: First one in about a hundred years in the United States.
- 12:35Speaker 1: There's four or five states that allow firing squads, but
- 12:38Speaker 1: they don't really do it. But the firing squad will
- 12:40Speaker 1: be today and you can watch it. They're going to
- 12:44Speaker 1: stream it. It'll be on YouTube. It'll be on the, uh, Government,
- 12:48Speaker 1: the administration, streaming service. You can watch the firing squad today.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Here's Pete Hegseth. No-brainer.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Execution by firing squad. Army major betrays his country. Radical
- 12:58Speaker 5: Islamist kills a bunch of Americans at Fort Hood. Of
- 13:01Speaker 5: course we're going to do it at Fort Hood. We're
- 13:03Speaker 5: going to do it on a Thursday. We're going to
- 13:04Speaker 5: do it at 1 o'clock, which is when he did it.
- 13:06Speaker 5: And it's going to be soldiers with rifles executing the
- 13:09Speaker 5: firing squad. It hadn't been since World War II since
- 13:12Speaker 5: we've done that.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Did he say Thursday? No. Does that mean they already
- 13:16Speaker 1: did it? I don't know. But this all happened at
- 13:20Speaker 1: Fort Hood, so he decided to do it at Fort Hood.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Makes perfect sense. That's exactly what you want to do. So, yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 1: there's a lot going on with the races. Oh, there
- 13:32Speaker 1: was another big debate last night. Michigan, you know, you
- 13:34Speaker 1: got the normal guy, Mike Rogers, the Republican, up against
- 13:38Speaker 1: the radical socialist Islam, whatever he is, Mohammed Abdul El-Sayed.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And it was quite a debate they had last night. Now,
- 13:48Speaker 1: the guy is a doctor. You know, there's different kinds
- 13:51Speaker 1: of doctors. There's a doctor where you're actually treating patients
- 13:54Speaker 1: and you're a doctor. Then there's the other kind of
- 13:56Speaker 1: doctor where you're Jill Biden. She was merely an English teacher.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Nothing wrong with that. That's a great thing to be. But,
- 14:03Speaker 1: you know, he keeps saying, Dr. Jill Biden, Dr. Jill Biden.
- 14:06Speaker 1: She was an English teacher at a community college. You
- 14:08Speaker 1: can get a doctorate of education. Monica Crowley is a doctor.
- 14:12Speaker 1: She's got a PhD, but she doesn't go around calling
- 14:14Speaker 1: herself doctor. But some of these people who aren't actually
- 14:17Speaker 1: treating patients run around calling themselves doctor. But there were
- 14:20Speaker 1: some great moments. Here's Rogers in the debate.
- 14:24Speaker 6: What my friend here just wants to do is he's
- 14:26Speaker 6: kind of like a glitchy AI chat bot is say
- 14:29Speaker 6: the same thing over and over and over again.
- 14:31Speaker 1: But let me tell you this.
- 14:33Speaker 6: He has taken money from groups associated and support the
- 14:37Speaker 6: Muslim Brotherhood. He has taken money from individuals on his
- 14:40Speaker 6: campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you got that problem. And here's Al-Sayed, the radical
- 14:49Speaker 1: nutjob Democratic candidate. I'm going to ask you again tonight,
- 14:52Speaker 1: who do you think is a bigger threat to the
- 14:53Speaker 1: United States, Israel or Iran? You have 60 seconds.
- 14:56Speaker 7: And again, Rick, I'm just going to say that that's
- 14:58Speaker 7: a ridiculous hypothetical. Because here's what's happening right now.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Our.
- 15:02Speaker 1: ostensible ally in Israel. Now, it is a ridiculous question.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Who's a bigger threat, Israel or Iran? Well, obviously Israel
- 15:08Speaker 1: is no threat to the United States. Iran is the
- 15:10Speaker 1: biggest threat. It's a ridiculous question. He's right. But watch,
- 15:14Speaker 1: he doesn't answer it. He can't give the answer.
- 15:16Speaker 7: Israel has lobbied us to go to war with Iran.
- 15:21Speaker 7: We have watched as Iran has responded by bombing all
- 15:24Speaker 7: kinds of countries in the Middle East and then choking
- 15:27Speaker 7: off the world's energy supply. So, This is a situation
- 15:31Speaker 7: in which I don't think we should be apart. I
- 15:33Speaker 7: don't want to be pushed into war by Israel.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Our problem is we don't have the best clip
- 15:39Speaker 1: from the debate, which was he kept calling himself doctor.
- 15:42Speaker 1: He's Dr. El-Sayed. As a doctor, you know, as a doctor.
- 15:45Speaker 1: He's a doctor, as a doctor. Doing this all night.
- 15:48Speaker 1: At one point, Rogers said, keeps calling himself a doctor.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Do you know that if a patient came into his
- 15:54Speaker 1: office and he treated the patient, he could go to jail?
- 15:57Speaker 1: He's not a licensed physician. He's got the title of
- 16:01Speaker 1: doctor with a Ph.D., whatever, some medical training. But he's
- 16:04Speaker 1: not a physician. He's not a doctor. But Rogers was great.
- 16:07Speaker 1: We'll see what that does. The race, believe it or not,
- 16:10Speaker 1: is neck and neck. Al-Sayed has had everybody coming in,
- 16:14Speaker 1: even Obama, everybody coming in to campaign for him. Anyway,
- 16:18Speaker 1: we've got a lot more to get to, lots to
- 16:20Speaker 1: talk about this morning. It's Mark Simone here. Three hours
- 16:23Speaker 1: every day, 9 to noon, 9 to noon every day,
- 16:26Speaker 1: here on 710WOR.
