- 0:00OK, I don't think I. Just ruined it.
- 0:03Just shut up until I say hello, David.
- 0:04OK, Hello. And welcome to.
- 0:11He's hot. But something's off,
- 0:14unfortunately. Today with a special guest.
- 0:18Hi, David. Yes, you can talk now.
- 0:21Oh, I heard there was an intro. We were trying, I was trying to
- 0:24get the intro music up and he kept talking, doing.
- 0:26It I didn't, I didn't hear it. It was like a surprise intro,
- 0:29but I said it was the intro. It was coming.
- 0:30Didn't you just hear the music? Just now I did actually.
- 0:32And then I was like, you talked over the intro, OK, Anyways.
- 0:38So if you go back to one of the really early episodes of the
- 0:42podcast, I don't know, episode 5 or 10 or something like that, I
- 0:46used to force David to come on to the podcast every once in a
- 0:51while and. Now you said it's two years, it
- 0:54was a two year pot of versary. Yeah, I think the podcast has
- 0:56been on for about two years. I don't know the exact data of
- 1:00the first one. I would need to look it up but
- 1:02it's been a while since. And what year is it today?
- 1:052025 and December? Well, someone could watch this
- 1:10in the archives in like 20, you know, 2002 or something, 2000
- 1:13and the future one. And then like, yes, so this is
- 1:19whatever the 6th of December or whatever it is.
- 1:22Yeah, it's gonna go up on. It's gonna go tomorrow on
- 1:25Thursday. OK.
- 1:26And what's? What's the Thursday date?
- 1:28It's the 20th, today's the 10th, OK, I think.
- 1:31I don't have my phone so two weeks till Christmas.
- 1:33Sure. Yeah, No, I just thought I would
- 1:37have David back as a special treat for all of you for the end
- 1:42of the year, I guess. Yeah, we it's, it's it's.
- 1:45Sorry, it's not Thanksgiving so we can be ungrateful today.
- 1:49OK. And it's a new set up.
- 1:51Look, it's a new there's a lights.
- 1:53Well, it's a new set up for you, yes, Because yeah, if you go
- 1:56back and watch the last time that David was on the podcast,
- 2:00that was like 2 years ago. That was in the special audio
- 2:02room. Yeah, that was in my one of my
- 2:05bedrooms where I had the podcasting set up, but the
- 2:08lighting was nowhere near as good.
- 2:10And I do. I didn't have this last time.
- 2:14You did? I gave you headphones.
- 2:15Yeah. Whether?
- 2:16These ones I don't know. I feel weird I'm not used.
- 2:18To it might be a different set of headphones, but I gave you
- 2:20headphones. You had headphones.
- 2:21If you watched that video back, it will show that you were
- 2:24wearing headphones. OK, I'm pretty sure I gave.
- 2:26Oh, I'm pretty sure I gave you. I don't remember.
- 2:27It's a long time ago. Never remember.
- 2:29It was a it was a long time ago. This year's gone by.
- 2:32Actually, two years has gone by so.
- 2:33Far two years has gone by now you're.
- 2:35Like you're like a mega entrepreneur now.
- 2:37Yeah, apparently you are. You're.
- 2:39Like a multiple CEO of like travel.
- 2:41I'm not ACEO, I don't think it's the technical term to be used.
- 2:44I'm a business owner. Business President, President,
- 2:48LLCPTYLTD Whatever. All the all the letters.
- 2:52Yeah, you are right. ABCD.
- 2:54LBTQSP. TYI don't.
- 2:57Know the PTYLTD stuff is I see it everywhere.
- 3:00This is why I think TL. CLLCLLC is a thing.
- 3:04I think This is why my audience likes to have you on the podcast
- 3:07because I usually get positive comments when when I used to
- 3:11have you on the podcast, I think I did get positive comments from
- 3:14that. Something is wrong with you?
- 3:16What something is wrong with? Your audience, OK, What?
- 3:19They're listening right now you just call my audience idiots.
- 3:21I. Did because I'm an idiot.
- 3:22I I it's an unconscious stream of unconsciousness stream of I
- 3:28don't edit. But you edit I I have to edit?
- 3:32He's a master editor, yeah. Well, anyways, because it is
- 3:34year end, I thought it would be kind of fun for us to, you know,
- 3:40talk about some of like the things that have happened with
- 3:44us during this year of 2025 you've.
- 3:49Been like nuts. You've gone, like I said, you're
- 3:50president LLC, you're TLC. You know, are you just saying
- 3:54random letters? I want to sound smart like LLC
- 3:56Pty. You're sounding stupid.
- 3:58Pty Pty Ltd I'm not that shit. You know when people try to
- 4:02sound smart. Is that what it is?
- 4:04It doesn't work. It usually doesn't work.
- 4:08We just use big words. Or because when you say things,
- 4:11it's either when you say stuff like that, acronyms and stuff,
- 4:14it's either you're using it properly or you're not using it
- 4:17properly at all. Like NASA.
- 4:20NASA. Yeah, if you just randomly say
- 4:21NASA in a conversation you'd be like what the fuck?
- 4:23NASA's the Texas space. It's not.
- 4:26Well, it's not just Texas. Wait, am I stupid?
- 4:29It's it's fucking national, bitch.
- 4:31Is it North America Space Agency or something?
- 4:33I don't know what the letter sounds.
- 4:35I hope that's dude, I guess that and hopefully.
- 4:36It's right? I don't know.
- 4:38It has to be. Anyways, why are you talking?
- 4:40About this We'll chat we'll chat GPTB chat GP.
- 4:43I'm going to give you some advice for the rest of the
- 4:45episode. Don't try to sound smart.
- 4:46Hey, I'm I'm. I'm instead of artificial
- 4:49intelligence, I'm real. It's artificial.
- 4:52I'm real unintelligence, but all the.
- 4:53Junk food you eat? You're just artificial.
- 4:55I'm real unintelligence. Yeah, yeah, I'm actually very
- 4:58processed. I don't need anything because he
- 5:00has the diet stuff. Yeah, that's true.
- 5:02You watch what you eat. So listeners of the podcast,
- 5:06like I do a podcast preneur every week.
- 5:08So like, the audience knows what's up with me and.
- 5:10What is this podcast called Just Joey?
- 5:14You still you still don't know the name of the podcast?
- 5:16No. Because there's no, you know,
- 5:17there's two now, 2 that I don't know now.
- 5:22You don't know the names for any of my shit.
- 5:24It's just Joey travel and some it's travel.
- 5:27And it's just Joey Travels. That's the name of the travel
- 5:30agency. But Oh no, but the podcast is
- 5:32like, it's something really generic, like just.
- 5:34Great. Thanks.
- 5:35Gay and travel. It's it's something and
- 5:38something like noun and noun like travel and adventures.
- 5:42It's it is I'm close right? Just.
- 5:45Everything is something and something, bitch.
- 5:46Just it's no, no, it's just Joey, send me something and
- 5:49podcast. But travel's in there too.
- 5:51So just travel, just just Joey travel and something travel and
- 5:57adventures travel and I I don't. Travel and trivia.
- 6:00I don't think you need to, you know?
- 6:02Here's another podcast because that's the that's the one that
- 6:05has information about things. That's correct.
- 6:07Because you're the president of your travel agency.
- 6:10Yikes. OK, well the the audience knows
- 6:14what's been up with me. So since you're here, why don't
- 6:17I give you a chance to talk about some of the highlights
- 6:20that you've had this year? There's there's the.
- 6:24It's the end of the. Year, but you took a number of
- 6:26trips. Oh.
- 6:28Yeah, I didn't actually. I didn't really party this year.
- 6:30You were in. You were in Europe for.
- 6:32Japan. We did Europe and then we did
- 6:36Korea and none of them were party trips.
- 6:38I mean, they were like vacations and you also sometimes.
- 6:41Yeah, Yeah. I mean, I'll talk about Korea
- 6:44because I think our audience might be interesting.
- 6:46You were. That was your last vacation, I
- 6:49guess vacation was. Yep.
- 6:51Seoul, right? Yeah.
- 6:52So that was my first time and it was nice.
- 6:55I I didn't know what to expect. I was expecting different
- 6:59things. Maybe I was racist or whatever,
- 7:01but I was expecting like high rise and high density.
- 7:05I think just in my head. Should I talk closer?
- 7:08Should I talk closer? Oh, because they love they love
- 7:11ASMR. And and I don't know if my
- 7:13audience likes ASMR. ASMRI don't like ASMRI don't
- 7:17like me, Emma. But Soul was cool.
- 7:21Soul was Soul was cool. Why am I?
- 7:24You're talking really good now. I'm just suggesting his mind.
- 7:27So Soul was cool. I for some reason I thought it
- 7:31was like high rise and high density, like allow Hong Kong or
- 7:35like. Hong Kong is very dense.
- 7:36And Japan, too, 'cause they're my own.
- 7:38Yeah, yeah, they were mine. Sources of reference.
- 7:41But then I went there and everything is like, big.
- 7:42I knew it was going to be modern, but everything was being
- 7:45cool. Everyone there has, like, your
- 7:47skin, like glass, Dewey skin. As as.
- 7:50Yeah, it's kind of an easy thing.
- 7:51Skin, I think it's new Korean too.
- 7:54Their their skin care stuff is they all look like photoshopped
- 7:59or like porcelain and they're all like super white, super
- 8:02white because white is like white is right over there, but
- 8:05it's like everything's brightening.
- 8:07So you just be careful and like that.
- 8:08Nothing is nothing is brightening but they because
- 8:11white is like a sign of on a prestige or whatever it is.
- 8:13Right. Yeah, Well, in, in a lot of
- 8:14Asian culture in, in, in Western culture, people like to have a
- 8:17tan to like look better or whatever.
- 8:20But in a lot of Asian cultures, the opposite is true.
- 8:23Yeah, because like the the jungle Asians work in the field
- 8:26and the fancy Asians work in an office or something.
- 8:28So it's like the SE Asians seem to be like racially inferior.
- 8:32You guys don't know David's also a comedian.
- 8:34No, I'm. I'm also a jungle Asian, so.
- 8:37But this is this is the term from Ali Wong's special.
- 8:40Everyone knows fancy Asian, jungle Asian.
- 8:42And yes, I happen to be I love mega jungly mega jungle.
- 8:44Yeah, her first special was great.
- 8:46Yeah, I'm mega jungle. So like what Southeast Asia like
- 8:50middle, Middle East, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Filipinos, they seem
- 8:54to be like jungle. Anyways, I own the jungle.
- 8:56It's like it's it's people like love my skin colour in a in a in
- 9:02a non race. How weird's that?
- 9:03Some people mention Oh you're you're, you're coloured all the
- 9:06time. Well, The thing is, like in in
- 9:08western cultures, it's usually valued for people to have like
- 9:12darker, like to look like you have a tan all the time.
- 9:15Yes, Tan. So like in Western cultures,
- 9:17it's kind of, you know, people do in America for example,
- 9:20people spend so much money on like tanning and spray tans and
- 9:24tanning beds and like just to have colour on their.
- 9:28Actually, and you, you told me I think ages ago where I was like,
- 9:31OK, I don't know shit about skin care.
- 9:32Like, what are the one of the things?
- 9:33And you're like, sunscreen is like your number one.
- 9:36Yeah. Like you would tell your younger
- 9:38self, right? Like, yes, kids, you don't
- 9:41realize it, but then you grow older.
- 9:43That's one of the fastest aging things.
- 9:45Yeah. I mean, it accelerates aging on
- 9:47your skin the most like in terms of like a single factor that,
- 9:51you know, causes your skin to age more than it naturally would
- 9:54would be, you know, like lots of UV exposure.
- 9:57I mean, we're all, we're all getting older, everyone's
- 9:59getting older. It's fine.
- 10:00I don't think it's, I think, but I just think if you, if that's
- 10:02really important to you, just stand next to an older person
- 10:05and you look. Younger.
- 10:06Well, there's not always. Well, we can't always stand next
- 10:07to Jay. Jay isn't always with us when we
- 10:09travel. You know, he's large.
- 10:11Jay's one of our good friends. He is large enough that you can
- 10:13sort of be. But we we we look thin and young
- 10:15when we stand next to Jay. I mean, everyone does, I mean.
- 10:18But we look a little more assume, but he doesn't dress up,
- 10:21so it's not like we look more poor next to him.
- 10:23So he's great to stand next to for photos.
- 10:25I mean, to be fair, I mean, I think we have a, I mean, we do
- 10:28have the obsession with the body thing, but it's, I guess we have
- 10:34like fit privilege. We work for it mostly, but it,
- 10:38it, there is a difference. You do.
- 10:40We never get through life in gay culture having fit privilege.
- 10:43We were just talking about this earlier today randomly, like we
- 10:46work out just to look hot. It's our main.
- 10:49Yeah, I don't want to be healthy.
- 10:50Yeah, it's our. It's the main reason I mean.
- 10:51I I don't eat, but people eat to be to look hot and I don't.
- 10:55I eat to be happy. I mean, yeah, that's so they eat
- 10:58according to like, their fitness goals, basically.
- 11:01Yeah, but my goal is to get to fit fit pizza in my mouth.
- 11:04Yeah. I was looking at pizza today and
- 11:07I didn't, I didn't beat my. You could have.
- 11:08You could have pizza today. Oh yeah, I've got a pizza any
- 11:10day. Fuck yeah.
- 11:12I wonder, like the chocolate pizza, What?
- 11:14It's like a dough with like Nutella base and you add like
- 11:17mini marshmallows, cornflakes, white chocolate is.
- 11:20This a thing? If I fucking made it a thing, I
- 11:22was. I grew up in chocolate pizza.
- 11:24No, but it it is. It's chocolate pizza is actually
- 11:26a thing. Dessert pizza is a thing.
- 11:28Dessert. Dessert pizza.
- 11:29It's normally like Nutella and strawberries and bananas.
- 11:31So OK, if it's so, did they serve it cold?
- 11:34No, it's hot. It's like a pizza base.
- 11:35It it's so it's actual pizza dough, yes.
- 11:38So like Nutella and the crust? No, no, no.
- 11:40So the. Nutella is crust Nutella stuff.
- 11:42No, no, no. Nutella is doctor tomato sauce
- 11:44base. Replace tomato sauce with
- 11:46Nutella. Or chocolate.
- 11:47OK, OK, OK. Yep.
- 11:49And then what is? With topping with.
- 11:50Strawberries, cornflakes, bananas, mini marshmallows.
- 11:53So it's like the things you would get in like a sweet crepe
- 11:56but in pizza form, but just like savoury crepes and sweet crepes.
- 12:00Is that kind of sort of? Make a Make America crepe again.
- 12:03Is it good? Hello, do you like Nutella?
- 12:07Do you have it with ice cream? I have it.
- 12:09Not really because it melts, but I have had it with ice cream
- 12:12anyways. Nutella is superior, so do
- 12:14anything with Nutella you do love.
- 12:15Nutella. Yeah, Nutella.
- 12:17One time I was in AI was in Bangkok, one of my solo trips
- 12:20there, and I was just at the grocery store to buy like, I
- 12:23don't know, poisoning powder or something.
- 12:25And they had a whole section of Nutella stuff, and I took a
- 12:27photo and sent it to you. Yeah, and I still remember like
- 12:30when I was in Italy, it's they had the Ferrero stand because
- 12:34everything's Ferrero and that is weird other because Kinder is
- 12:37also part of the Ferrero. Yes, but then they have the the
- 12:40chocolate, the anything. Ferrero is like fuck to buy
- 12:45chocolate, give me Ferrero and I'm happy Yeah, because to buy
- 12:48chocolate I. Used to eat those like fur
- 12:50brochet, whatever things when I was a kid.
- 12:52They're the best. When I was a kid, I used.
- 12:54To eat and Oh my God, you like as a kid you thought it was like
- 12:56the most expensive thing ever and you're like, you think it's.
- 12:58Just like wrapped in it's gold. It's like wrapped in this gold
- 13:01foil. It's not actually gold.
- 13:02It's gold coloured. I'm.
- 13:03Sure. Don't they like fake it nowadays
- 13:05with like gold leaf? Isn't that a like they make
- 13:07things fancy. Like here's a $75 fucking piece
- 13:11of. It's gone.
- 13:11It's like a little decoration of like a garnish, but apparently
- 13:14it's actual gold. Like when I watch sometimes
- 13:16baking shows, they'll be like, oh, they're gonna put some gold
- 13:18on some stuff. Yeah, it's baking.
- 13:20Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that's my career experience.
- 13:24But then yeah, cuz everyone has the skin care is crazy.
- 13:26I'm sure it's like a trip beyond the Seoul.
- 13:29And Seoul that you saw. But The thing is, like you, I
- 13:33mean, when I went to Seoul, it was like I didn't really go and
- 13:36explore, but even just with a little bit of walk in that I did
- 13:39in the middle of Seoul, it was like there were beauty cosmetic
- 13:44places all everywhere. Like in terms of like cosmetic
- 13:47surgery places like everywhere. Oh yeah, because it's massive
- 13:50over there. But I guess I was in like
- 13:52Gangnam like so in that district, it's probably more so.
- 13:55I mean, I visited Gangnam. We were.
- 13:57I was in. I happened to be staying like
- 13:59that's where the hotel was. But actually.
- 14:02But isn't, didn't, isn't. That the.
- 14:06Inspiration for your skin care line that you launched as well.
- 14:11I mean, definitely when I was, they already know that I
- 14:14launched it. You don't need.
- 14:15You don't need to plug it, no. But it was I mean, but it but
- 14:18it's I'm just always trying to do hair plug plug insurance.
- 14:21I mean, I trust me, I plug. Segways, Segways.
- 14:25Yeah, definitely. I mean, it's it's it's an
- 14:28inspiration. Yes, Correct.
- 14:31Correct. Yeah.
- 14:31So you're like if you want to look like that.
- 14:34Well. Well, not really, but because
- 14:36yours is just like wash my face and put.
- 14:39Gee, thanks, I don't. Know, I don't know.
- 14:41I thought I learned stuff about that there.
- 14:44Everything is like salmon sperm in the face, just like the
- 14:47salmon sperm. They have a lot of, they have a
- 14:49lot of different procedures. Oh my God, that.
- 14:51You could get. And then yeah, just the wording
- 14:55is just, it's like another language.
- 14:56So I'm like. OK, whatever, it is another
- 14:57language. And they're like, they're like,
- 14:59they're basically telling me your paws are fucking massive.
- 15:01I'm like, OK, thanks. I mean you're it makes your
- 15:03pores help. Me, I'm poor, but I mean my
- 15:05pores are always massive, but I'm like in Korea they're like
- 15:08fucking volcano but one. Of The thing is that everybody's
- 15:11pores, like you can't really change the size of your pores
- 15:14really. Yeah, unless you're a fucking
- 15:15Korean and probably do whatever the.
- 15:17Fuck they do. No, like scientifically like you
- 15:19can't really actually like change the size of your pores
- 15:22you. Burn them off or something.
- 15:23I mean, you can do extractions and get stuff out of your pores
- 15:27so that they look smaller. Because I fucking own a skin
- 15:30care pin and I know that I know what I'm talking about.
- 15:32So you're like a skin president. What's the What's your title at
- 15:34your skin care? I'm the only person at that
- 15:36company. I'm, I'm everything.
- 15:38I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm the janitor and the owner.
- 15:40Like I'm everything. You're CF Yeah.
- 15:42Well, you're Everything Everywhere, yes.
- 15:44Yeah, Chief, everything, Officer.
- 15:45Oh, Chief, Yeah, You're chief. You're mega chief.
- 15:48Yeah. Great.
- 15:49Then you also go to Europe. Yep, we did Germany right.
- 15:53Yep, we did. Where the fuck do we go?
- 15:56Austria. Berlin.
- 15:57Oh yes? Well, we do.
- 15:59Burling ham. Burling, Hamburg.
- 16:02Austria. Hungary.
- 16:04Budapest, some of those are countries and some of those are
- 16:07cities, I feel Anyways, it's. Funny.
- 16:08I we we won't. This is not a pop quiz.
- 16:12You can say whatever you want. We're not in school anymore.
- 16:15We can't get a failing grade. Well, I should do.
- 16:17My geography, you know, geography, I don't know any.
- 16:20I don't know geography. What I I don't, I really don't,
- 16:24I don't know. I I know like some of the US
- 16:27Canadian geography, but I've lived in those countries, but
- 16:29like I don't know where any of the European you.
- 16:33Unless Formula One went there. But even then I don't Formula
- 16:37One goes to a lot of places in Europe.
- 16:38Like I don't know where that place is on like a map.
- 16:41Yeah, I don't know anything and they somehow expect if.
- 16:44You said like, OK, like if you say like, if you like Spain and
- 16:47then you ask me about. OK, what?
- 16:49What other countries share a border with Spain, like our
- 16:53neighbors, just me, Like, I don't know.
- 16:54Oh. I don't know either.
- 16:55Well, The thing is, but they expect you to know.
- 16:57Like they expect me to know because I'm a flight attendant.
- 16:59So they'll. Like, wait, wait, wait.
- 17:00In what situation would they expect you to know as a flight
- 17:04attendant or the the fucking Atlas in the world?
- 17:06OK, OK. Yeah.
- 17:07Ding Dong. Hello.
- 17:09How can I help you? Can you tell me what mountain
- 17:12range we're flying in? What is that over?
- 17:14There is that. Is that real?
- 17:15You get questions like that. Yes.
- 17:18What the fuck cares? So old lady fucking Karen from
- 17:20the north, I don't fucking know. She's just like, I wonder, is
- 17:23that mousing? Right over there like.
- 17:24I don't look out of the window I'm working.
- 17:28Have you? What, do you just made-up
- 17:29something? I'm like, I'm a flight
- 17:30attendant. I'm not the fucking smartest
- 17:32thing in the room. I'm dumb as fuck.
- 17:33Like, I don't know, I'm sorry, I'm working.
- 17:35What? What teal coffee do you want,
- 17:36bitch? Like.
- 17:38Do you want chicken or beef? Just chicken or beef and please
- 17:41choose the other option because I don't have the first option so
- 17:45have nothing. People have some nuts.
- 17:47People actually ask that? Yeah.
- 17:49OK. I think in my job in like on my
- 17:52years, something about stepping onto a plane turns you into a
- 17:56different person because they just ask and do.
- 17:58Things I guess, like you're in the office, that's your work
- 18:00environment. So when you step on a plane,
- 18:02it's like, oh, I'm at work. Yeah, but I think people just
- 18:04become stupider. Is it their altitude?
- 18:07We just said you mentioned this before.
- 18:08Dumb, really stupid questions people don't know how to open.
- 18:11Laboratory doors, by the way, you know this goes out to the
- 18:13whole. Internet, well, you know what?
- 18:14This is better than some of those things where you're like,
- 18:16oh, real flood attendance explodes this and it's all fake.
- 18:19It's like, what the fuck? You know, clickbait stuff, like
- 18:21the clickbait stuff. Like I have a whole thing about
- 18:23clickbait and certain influencers.
- 18:25Yeah, like. They'll say I'll get an
- 18:27algorithm thing where it's like, this is the top 10 things that
- 18:30flight attendants don't want you to know.
- 18:31You know what I hate the most? But the things, the things
- 18:34that's like, don't do this before you watch the video.
- 18:37I hate titles like that. I don't know.
- 18:40It's I hate it when the title is not very descriptive of the
- 18:43content. Yeah, I just.
- 18:46You can say something like, you know, like top 10 tips for, I
- 18:50don't know, like washing your dog or whatever, Like that's
- 18:52fine. Yeah.
- 18:53It's just. Not real like some of.
- 18:55The tips but it's like you won't believe what I.
- 19:00Oh yeah, that shit. Yeah, it's just I.
- 19:01Kind of like it doesn't describe the content.
- 19:03It's super click baity and like that's the stuff.
- 19:06Like I don't ever want to show up on my screen and I think.
- 19:10It unfortunately, I think it feeds into the mind numbing
- 19:16thing that you're just believing what thing is telling you.
- 19:18But your phone is very sophisticated now.
- 19:20Telling you thing, here's the little inside scoop.
- 19:22So for the skin care company, I have a marketing agency and then
- 19:26we were talking about getting influencers and also UGC, UCG,
- 19:33which is UGC. You can't.
- 19:36I can't say ugly. You can't say the C word.
- 19:39You can't say the C word, OK, That's like, you know, anyways,
- 19:42UGC, UGC is user generated content.
- 19:46You know, all those like those things are like TikTok or
- 19:49Instagram, whatever. You have, like, some person
- 19:52who's probably an influencer, they're just talking about some
- 19:54product, OK? You know, those ads were like a
- 19:57person sitting in front of their phone.
- 19:59And they're like. Yes, they're talking about some
- 20:02product. Yeah, it could take a few forms.
- 20:04That's UGC. OK, where it looks like a quote
- 20:07UN quote regular person, but they're like Hawking some
- 20:10products. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:11But like it comes up as an ad on your feed probably right.
- 20:14That's what that's UGC. OK, so me and the marketing
- 20:18agency were talking about that and I specifically told her
- 20:24those types of video where like it's like some person who
- 20:29they're acting super excited. They're looking straight at the
- 20:32camera and they're like, oh, I'm using this product and I love
- 20:36it. But you know those ones where
- 20:38like they look super excited right from the goal.
- 20:39Like they're on fucking some on fucking crack cocaine.
- 20:42Who the hell is excited unless you're on cocaine?
- 20:44But you know, listen to the videos I'm talking about, right?
- 20:46I think yes, I think so, because you see them a lot.
- 20:48Yeah, exactly. They pop a lot and I
- 20:50specifically told the market and she's like, I do not want any of
- 20:52that type of videos. But for me that's like the most
- 20:55fake type of video you can use to represent my brand.
- 20:59But it's like I see we see so many of those and you just know
- 21:02because we see so many of them Hawking so many different
- 21:04products. You it's very obvious.
- 21:06It's some person that's just being paid to like, Hey, make me
- 21:10a 22nd tick tock and just like talk of this product here, some
- 21:13talking points for me that is like, I don't want that.
- 21:17I find those videos, those clips gross.
- 21:20Like it doesn't represent my brand.
- 21:22It doesn't seem genuine to me. Yeah.
- 21:24So it's very specific to them. Like I don't want anything
- 21:27that's like. That I would just honestly just
- 21:28just rather just fuck me with the ad.
- 21:30Don't pretend that it's something else, don't pretend
- 21:31that it's entertainment. Just fuck.
- 21:33Me with the ad. I can go away or skip it or
- 21:35whatever the fuck and then go back to resume my regulation.
- 21:38Well, here's also the other thing.
- 21:39It's, you know, you know, sometimes an ad just like takes
- 21:44over your whole screen or when you're streaming something, you
- 21:47get commercials. I think people are used to like
- 21:48when you're watching a video on TV or streaming or whatever,
- 21:52like we were just watching Netflix and every so often
- 21:55there's like a commercial. If you get the board here, if we
- 21:58get the board here, I also get the board here.
- 22:00So the rich people can skip ads. But I think that's OK.
- 22:04Like if I think we're used to the concept of commercials, but
- 22:07you're watching a video. Honestly, for the streaming I'm
- 22:08like that can be a toilet break. I'm fine.
- 22:10I'm actually OK as long as there's not.
- 22:12Crazy. I think that's OK, but you know,
- 22:14in some other mediums where it's not like a video that you're
- 22:17watching and you just get like a full page, like in Grinder,
- 22:19sometimes like a full screen ad comes up.
- 22:23Full interstitials like that are not effective.
- 22:27Yeah. Actually, I think it actually
- 22:29gives you a negative. Because when I'm a grinder,
- 22:32every time a full screen ad comes up, I know when when
- 22:35they're coming now, like I just force quit the ad.
- 22:37I didn't even see the ad. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:39It's like, and I'm sure it costs the people extra to buy those
- 22:43full screen ads. Yeah, this is full screen.
- 22:45But like I never see what is on it because like the split second
- 22:48they pop up I force quit the ad because I don't want to see.
- 22:51It I mean, yeah, definitely. And I think yeah, because I
- 22:53think it just gives a negative relationship to the ad.
- 22:55I mean, I don't know if you're, I don't know, does porn have
- 22:58ads? If you're watching porn and some
- 22:59giant fucking an ad of, I don't know, freaking in.
- 23:02The middle in the middle of a porn you're.
- 23:04Just right when you're what a good and.
- 23:06What about you're about to jizz that's.
- 23:08Something and then you get a photo about a BMW and you're
- 23:11like I hate BMWs forever because you fucking stole my nut.
- 23:13You took my nut. But, but here's the thing that
- 23:15when you're when you're on Pornhub, when they serve the
- 23:17app, they serve it at the beginning.
- 23:19They don't serve it in the middle.
- 23:21It's true, I never get to the middle.
- 23:24But The thing is, if you click on a video, sometimes they'll
- 23:27have an ad before the video plays.
- 23:29Yep, Yep. And that's actually.
- 23:31For what? Cuz I get my news from memes and
- 23:35sometimes there was a guy who was meme there was some gay porn
- 23:38actor there was a meme about cuz he would interrupt and it was a
- 23:41really loud ad at a lot of these pornad.com gay or whatever it
- 23:46is. So it's really and they're
- 23:47really annoying and fake a porn ad and it's like I've.
- 23:51Seen those kind of like some of these porn actors should just
- 23:54stick to porn and not talk into the.
- 23:56Camera. Yeah, the acting is acting is a
- 24:01rich. They like they they can barely
- 24:02remember the lines. It's so bad, like it's worse
- 24:05than me and. I'm no, I get it.
- 24:06Oh, my God, You have a leak in that pipe?
- 24:10I don't know. Is that a pipe?
- 24:11Yeah. I don't know.
- 24:12Yeah. It's fucking crazy.
- 24:13Yeah. But yeah, but anyways, yeah, so
- 24:16when I'm, you know, obviously I've got businesses now that I'm
- 24:19trying to advertise, but when I was talking to, you know, like
- 24:23this marketing agent, the other thing that I don't put on my
- 24:26website is something that, you know, sometimes you go to a
- 24:30website and it pops up like, oh, like register for our newsletter
- 24:34to get a 10% fuck off. So I explicitly like did not
- 24:38configure that for my skin care or company website because I I
- 24:42hate those. You're in tech because sometimes
- 24:45it they now with cookies it literally bugs you.
- 24:49It's like hey you left, you left something in your cart or are
- 24:53you looking at it? Are you still looking at it?
- 24:55I'm like why the fuck do I need 7 emails about this?
- 24:58You've forgotten or like hey are you still looking?
- 25:00Are you still interested? So I know something about this.
- 25:03I know something about this because it's e-commerce and I'm
- 25:05in the e-commerce. Business Now.
- 25:06E-commerce president. So The thing is, there's a lot
- 25:09of, there's actually a shocking number of people that will add
- 25:12something to our cart on a website but then don't complete
- 25:16check out. So we call it an.
- 25:18So we call it an abandoned cart. On edge shopping, edging.
- 25:22Correct. Yeah, correct.
- 25:23So a lot of people, I don't actually do that myself, but
- 25:26like, in aggregate, a lot of people do that.
- 25:28And The thing is, from the seller's point of view, the
- 25:31company's point of view is like, OK, we need to get those people
- 25:34across the line. And sometimes people will just
- 25:36like, actually forget that they've put something in the
- 25:39cart because like, they get distracted, like they're cooking
- 25:42dinner, like while they're shopping or like their dock
- 25:44jumps on them, like whatever it is, right?
- 25:47And the reminders are like literally to remind people, hey,
- 25:53you added this saying to the car we've saved a car for, You can
- 25:56go back to your cart now. That is not the reason I think
- 26:00that's there. Well, for some people, money,
- 26:03it's like that's at a cost. They're not doing it, dog.
- 26:06The goodness of their hearts. No, but but The thing is any for
- 26:08profit company is there to make money.
- 26:11Yes. Yeah, like 90% of companies are
- 26:14for profit companies. Even my company, like I'll tell
- 26:19straight up my travel agency is for profit.
- 26:21Like I'm there to make money. My skin care company is.
- 26:24That's every business. You're like an entrepreneur.
- 26:27Entrepreneur. But The thing is, every company
- 26:31that's for profit, yeah, they're there to make money.
- 26:33That's not a secret, isn't. It non for profits then that
- 26:35also make money. The nonprofits like their goal
- 26:38is not to make a profit. Like it's in the name that's
- 26:40different. A nonprofit is different.
- 26:43Like there are different regulations that govern that.
- 26:46But you know, for like most companies are for profit
- 26:48companies, like they're there to make money.
- 26:50Like obviously like it does like I'm obviously want people to buy
- 26:53the products from my company. Like so if people are adding
- 26:57products to the cart, that already shows that they have
- 27:00some intent or desire to possibly buy the products.
- 27:04Like why would you add products to a cart if you have no
- 27:06intention of buying? OK.
- 27:07So I've added it before and then it's like, oh, that takes more
- 27:09of the expense than I thought. And then I left it.
- 27:12But you know I. Thought it was on sale.
- 27:13I mean, that's, that's fine. I'm like, oops, because there's
- 27:15also. So that's actually a great use
- 27:17case because. I'm helping.
- 27:20I'm helping. Discount.
- 27:21It's something I already know Fuck.
- 27:23So you know for some websites, if the website detects that you
- 27:29know, you might, you need like a little extra push to actually
- 27:33check your cart out. It might pop up like a discount
- 27:37code, yes. Discounts, yes, yeah, yes.
- 27:41So my website actually does that too.
- 27:43Yeah, it like there's some like there's some there's a system
- 27:46that kind of detects OK, if this person, you know, might if, if
- 27:52the system detects that, hey, we just popped up a discount code
- 27:56for this person, they might be more likely to actually buy
- 27:58something that will actually do that.
- 27:59I. Mean, yeah, I mean yeah, my
- 28:02algorithm would be give me discount.
- 28:04That's all. Can I write?
- 28:05Can I write the discount code please?
- 28:07I mean. Help me.
- 28:10Companies have discounts and promos because they were.
- 28:12It's an incentive like econ one O 1.
- 28:14It's like people respond to incentives.
- 28:15That's one of the like one of the rules of E.
- 28:19And then they can. People respond to this.
- 28:21And they can actually track how many people use it, right?
- 28:24We can't track it, but it's like, you know, like there are
- 28:26different, there are different promo codes that exist for my
- 28:29skin care company and they can pop up or like be obtained in
- 28:32different forms. Like you'll be signing for the
- 28:34newsletter. Like you'll get a discount code.
- 28:36But at least like with the travel like it's not any cost to
- 28:40you the. Travel thing is, that's a very
- 28:41different business because that's not like e-commerce,
- 28:44that's not like selling a product.
- 28:45That's a service. I mean, that's a service, yes,
- 28:50that's just a service. That's not e-commerce.
- 28:51E-commerce is like your typical like ask something to a cart on
- 28:55a website and then you check out.
- 28:56E concierge or something. What the fuck is?
- 28:58That it's just a travel agency, there's no E anything.
- 29:02Yeah, but that's different. That's like a commissions based
- 29:06business. But listen, it's not a cost to
- 29:08the person. It's like, well, I can book
- 29:09through you. Yeah.
- 29:10And yeah. And like I've had people that
- 29:12are prospective customers for the travel HCD that ask like,
- 29:15oh, like how do you make the money?
- 29:16Because you know, people that don't know about commissions and
- 29:20like they don't know about sales, like that's a very
- 29:22different structure that they don't know about, right.
- 29:24But I'm happy to explain it to them.
- 29:25It's like, yeah, like if you are new cruiser and you book with
- 29:28me, like Atlantis pays me a Commission.
- 29:32Well, I think also it's a curiosity because they're like,
- 29:34wait, if, if it's the same price, is there a hidden?
- 29:38They're probably asking you like wait, correct?
- 29:39Where do I pay? It's yours.
- 29:40No, no, no, you don't pay me anything, correct?
- 29:42The other, the other, the third party, or whatever.
- 29:44Pays, yeah, correct. And that's something I want to
- 29:46make more clear in the advertising.
- 29:49I mean I'm gonna push more on the advertising for just Joy
- 29:53Travels in the new year in 2026, which I think segues for me
- 29:58nicely that I've already booked a couple of cruises.
- 30:01I'll be on 2 Atlantis cruises next year, so David and I will
- 30:07both be on Symphony in February. Yes.
- 30:13She was like, you looked at me like maybe you didn't want
- 30:15people to. Know that no, no, no, no, no,
- 30:16no, no. I forgot because I know you're
- 30:18doing the other one and I'm not on the other one.
- 30:19You're not. On the other one and I just.
- 30:20Forgot what Symphony was because.
- 30:22The February was the big one. The big one.
- 30:23But I. Haven't been on a Symphony?
- 30:24Before the party cruise. But I haven't been on.
- 30:26A Symphony. So we're going to be going to
- 30:28parties. But this is what that sounds
- 30:30sketchy. No, we're going to parties, just
- 30:32regular party. But this is sounds sketchy.
- 30:33I might be going to have a. Party.
- 30:34This sounds like illegal or something.
- 30:36I might be. Going to some it's not illegal.
- 30:37I might be it. Just sounds sketchy.
- 30:39This makes. Anything sounds sketchy.
- 30:41I'm going to work. Can you?
- 30:42Can you? Can you get me?
- 30:44I'm going to eat now even. If you don't want to go, can you
- 30:46get me some invites for some of The Afters?
- 30:49You've been to the. Doctors I don't get, but I
- 30:52don't. I'm not the one that gets
- 30:53invites. I don't get it.
- 30:55Yeah, I don't get invites. How do we get invites?
- 30:56Is it Jay or someone else? Wait to the I never get invites
- 30:59to the cruise? No.
- 31:01To like The Afters on the cruise, The sweet parties.
- 31:03Yeah. No, you have to look.
- 31:05For it, I don't look for it. I don't look how did we get into
- 31:08the ones before. I've never been to 1.
- 31:10You went to one? No, we've.
- 31:11Both been to sweet parties before.
- 31:16Like the pre parties? Wait, no, no, no.
- 31:18Like, Oh. Yeah, I think we're thinking of
- 31:20different things because you made it very unclear what
- 31:23parties were. OK.
- 31:25What? I thought you were talking about
- 31:26parties if there were orgies, like all parties if there were
- 31:28orgies. Which I've never been.
- 31:29I'm not talking. About those OK sweet parties is
- 31:32yes. Party yes, I both did not
- 31:33orgies. Our friends that we know, How
- 31:35about the sweets? Yeah, and they're pretty, but
- 31:37for this I can go to some of the other ones too, actually.
- 31:40Yeah, you. Could I was saying on a recent
- 31:42episode that I've been really horny lately but then I'm
- 31:45looking forward to the cruise to like have some like activate
- 31:49sexual. Awakening.
- 31:51Not an awakening. Reawakening.
- 31:54That's stuff. The cobwebs.
- 31:56It's not that bad. Well your other business you are
- 31:58very busy so and successful booked and blessed Airbnb.
- 32:03OK, well with that, we're now gonna switch over to our uncut.
- 32:08Yeah, well, we're gonna switch over because this is the public
- 32:12episode. We're now to continue this
- 32:14conversation. We're going to, we're about to
- 32:17record our uncut episode of the week, which is only available
- 32:20for our Patreon subscribers. So if you wanna see, if you

- 32:33But we're gonna go record that now.
- 32:34It'll be a continuation. This was sprung on me, so I
- 32:38don't OK this doesn't surprise surprise.
- 32:41I can't surprise circumcision OK all.
- 32:44Right. Bye, David.
- 32:45Bye, David.
