- 0:00Good morning, here's a walk through Learn Africa FY2026 numbers. They came out last week, so I'm going to be running through Learn Africa. Then after that, I would speak the other two players, University Press and Academy Press. Learn Africa is the biggest by revenue. In fact, when you look at the numbers, Learn Africa's revenue is a combination or as big as the other two players combined.
- 0:29that's why i'm starting first with this what do we have top line growth bottom line growth uh pretty fair uh 6.15 billion naira in revenue for fy 2026 up 18.7 compared to the prior year and then you had the profit of the tax of 753.1 million or by 58.5 percent compared to the prior year so numbers uh were quite good but
- 0:56it's important that you discount other income now if you discount other income you'd have a drop in the earnings pressure a slight drop i suspect maybe 10 20 drop in your profit after tax so even though you came in with 753 million profit after tax you probably need to knock off other income of about 160 years so if you did that most likely you would have a profit after tax of just around maybe 500 or
- 1:26roughly 600 million ah so again if you then discount your earnings per share stripped of the other income earnings per share probably will come in at about 60 something couple 60 70 couple per share at this current price the stock is trading at um 11.3 times earnings but if you're looking at um it's um fair value fair value probably will be 3.77 how do you work out your fair value
- 1:56you take this current price to book ratio and you multiply that by your return on equity divided by your cost of equity so you blend that number together and you get a fair value of 3.77 however when you look at the fact that speed ratio at current price is 11.3 times it's kind of hard to drop to that level
- 2:21so if you're anticipating a 50 decline i don't see that happening i think maybe 20 to 30 percent uh decline um could happen um for this stock and the firm will be paying a dividend of 35 copper same as last year but like i posited one of the reasons why um i think they left it flat is if you strip away the other income you probably have this figure current years and especially
- 2:49at about the same as last year so in my in my view it doesn't make sense increasing gaining special uh increasing the dividends i beg your pardon it doesn't make sense including dividend um and all that but let's see what technical analysis tells us about uh this stock um land typically is the biggest player in this space so it tends to trade at the
- 3:17at a much higher price compared to the other players um even though the broad rally in the markets in the early half of the year led to a rise um in in this stock and so i'm looking at what technical analysis tells us i can probably use the daily time frame since we don't have much volatility in this stock uh so on a daily daily summary technical summary sell
- 3:47um in terms of support your s sign of liquidity to use it daily okay let's switch to let's switch to weekly usually this isn't the most liquid of stocks anyway so let's switch to weekly on a weekly basis s3 supports is 8.6 the stock is at 9.9 pivot point is 10.3 s1 is 9.6 so the stock is between the s1 and the pivot point um
- 4:17the summary on the weekly is neutral so in my view i mean these stocks the broad publishing space these are dividend plays for me you don't expect much of growth in any special maybe 10 20 growth so these are not fast growing stocks um in that case you want i mean if they did justified or maybe they adjusted any special for this stock
- 4:47is let's say 60 70 couple then at best you probably want to get in at it 70 times i need so maybe five to seven naira share would be a good place to get into this stock and at that point your dividend yield starts to look attractive probably pushing your dividend yield to to five percent your dividend yield is your dividend per share divided by the current share price
- 5:15at the average dividend yield i think on the ngx is around five that is six or eight percent so that price point five to seven naira in my view will be a good place to get into the stock so that's pretty much about um learn africa next on the way is university press
