- 0:00Lisa Hopkins: Hey there.
- 0:02Lisa Hopkins: If life feels a little heavy right now, you're not alone.
- 0:09Lisa Hopkins: Today's meditation isn't to fix anything.
- 0:15Lisa Hopkins: It's simply a place to pause.
- 0:19Lisa Hopkins: An invitation to settle your system.
- 0:25Lisa Hopkins: Remind yourself of something steady underneath it all.
- 0:34Lisa Hopkins: So wherever you are, just allow your body to be supported.
- 0:46Lisa Hopkins: You don't need to sit perfectly.
- 0:50Lisa Hopkins: There's no real right way to do this, except to simply allow the time and space you need to be comfortable to simply arrive.
- 1:15Lisa Hopkins: When you're ready, take a slow breath in through your nose and a longer breath out through your mouth.
- 1:31Lisa Hopkins: Again, inhale gently and exhale, letting something soften.
- 1:44Lisa Hopkins: One more time in and out.
- 1:55Lisa Hopkins: And now let your breath return to its natural rhythm and just notice it.
- 2:07Lisa Hopkins: No forcing, no controlling, no analyzing, just breathing and being breathed.
- 2:34Lisa Hopkins: Bring your attention to where your body is making contact, your back supported, your legs held, your hands resting.
- 2:59Lisa Hopkins: Let the weight of your body drop just a little bit more.
- 3:11Lisa Hopkins: Nothing needs to be held up right now.
- 3:18Lisa Hopkins: If there's tension anywhere, just notice it.
- 3:28Lisa Hopkins: Your shoulders, your jaw, your forehead, your neck.
- 3:49Lisa Hopkins: The awareness alone begins to shift things, to create space for expansion, relaxation, ease.
- 4:23Lisa Hopkins: Not always in dramatic ways, but in the steady accumulation of things.
- 4:33Lisa Hopkins: Uncertainty, responsibility, worry, change.
- 4:46Lisa Hopkins: And your system feels that.
- 4:54Lisa Hopkins: So if things feel heavy or stretched right now, or unclear, or out of control, it makes perfect sense.
- 5:13Lisa Hopkins: But let that be true without needing to solve it right now.
- 5:26Lisa Hopkins: Imagine placing everything you're carrying just beside you for a moment.
- 5:37Lisa Hopkins: Not getting rid of it.
- 5:40Lisa Hopkins: Not spending any energy trying to ignore it.
- 5:46Lisa Hopkins: Just setting it down.
- 5:55Lisa Hopkins: It'll still be there later, but for now, you don't have to hold it.
- 6:10Lisa Hopkins: And from this slightly more subtle place, see if you can allow allow in a few simple truths, not as pressure, just as possibilities.
- 6:35Lisa Hopkins: You've been through hard things before, and you're still here.
- 7:39Lisa Hopkins: Not everything, just one thing.
- 7:44Lisa Hopkins: Let that come without forcing it.
- 7:51Lisa Hopkins: And notice even in the midst of everything, there is still choice here.
- 8:18Lisa Hopkins: Take one more slow breath in and a steady breath out.
- 8:31Lisa Hopkins: Feel your body again supported grounded here.
- 8:47Lisa Hopkins: Nothing has to be different for this moment to be enough.
- 9:03Lisa Hopkins: When you're ready, you can gently return.
- 9:16Lisa Hopkins: Bringing a little more steadiness and a little more spaciousness, and a lot more calm.
- 9:39Lisa Hopkins: You can return to your breath any time.
- 9:43Lisa Hopkins: You start to feel caught up in the rumination, in the thoughts, in the unease.
- 9:53Lisa Hopkins: And remember, steadiness is always available to you.
- 10:02Lisa Hopkins: And the path is slowing down and breathing.
