Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about SERRITI Life with
• 0:04
Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia, Judice.
• 0:06
Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler.
• 0:11
Speaker 3: Hey, guys, welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush.
• 0:14
Speaker 3: We are doing part two, answering all your questions, debunking everything.
• 0:19
Speaker 3: We are back here with the girls, so listen up.
• 0:22
Speaker 3: This one's going to be JC.
• 0:24
Speaker 2: Did you guys get hazed at all?
• 0:26
  Speaker 1: No?
• 0:27
Speaker 2: No, I didn't, No, not at all.
• 0:29
Speaker 4: No, I would say no. I can tell one story.
• 0:31
Speaker 4: The only thing they did. And I don't know if
• 0:33
Speaker 4: this is hazing. I don't think it is. We had
• 0:35
Speaker 4: like a courtyard and then like a balcony and the
• 0:40
Speaker 4: actives we call them actives, and we were pledges. The
• 0:42
Speaker 4: actives were stood on the balcony and we were in
• 0:45
Speaker 4: the courtyard and they just said, can you spell my
• 0:47
Speaker 4: last name? That was the most hazing we have the
• 0:49
Speaker 4: whole time, which I did.
• 0:52
Speaker 2: I think my chapter might have gotten a little bit
• 0:55
Speaker 2: in trouble for a hazing thing before I came.
• 0:57
Speaker 3: So there was like zero when I came through, not
• 1:00
Speaker 3: like kicked off campus obviously, but I.
• 1:02
Speaker 2: Think they got a handslap, so they were super careful.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: I think the boys definitely.
• 1:07
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: I mean I never heard of hazing ever.
• 1:10
Speaker 4: I always of the banana in the toilet. You guys
• 1:13
Speaker 4: don't know this story. I don't know if this is true.
• 1:15
Speaker 4: This was always the rumor, not for girls, but for boys,
• 1:18
Speaker 4: that the boys would there'd be a banana in the
• 1:22
Speaker 4: toilet or something like that. It still sounds very gross
• 1:26
Speaker 4: and the boys would have to reach into the toilet
• 1:29
Speaker 4: and then eat the banana. But first of all, even
• 1:33
Speaker 4: if it was a banana, and if it was in
• 1:34
Speaker 4: the toilet a fraternity house.
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: That's yeah.
• 1:38
Speaker 4: I don't know if I have that right, but that
• 1:40
Speaker 4: was always the one I heard the grossest thing. And
• 1:44
Speaker 4: probably people in fraternities. First of all, they're not listening
• 1:47
Speaker 4: to the show, but if they were, they're probably laughing thinking.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: That would be the least of them. Yeah, for sure, I.
• 1:57
  Speaker 5: Have heard a story, and I don't know if it's
• 2:00
Speaker 5: true or not, of a popular school that a lot
• 2:04
Speaker 5: of my friends went to. They had girls. This was
• 2:08
Speaker 5: their version of hazeing. They had girls stand on top
• 2:11
Speaker 5: of an empty washer.
• 2:16
Speaker 2: I heard that on something like a dryer.
• 2:18
Speaker 5: They had them stand on an empty dryer that was
• 2:21
Speaker 5: running like a load of laundry. But there's nothing in it.
• 2:23
Speaker 5: So it was shaking around and then girls would take
• 2:25
Speaker 5: sharpies and like circle, what was jiggling.
• 2:30
Speaker 1: I've heard that believe that could be true, but I
• 2:33
Speaker 1: think that could be true either.
• 2:35
Speaker 5: But I've heard people who have claimed that it has
• 2:37
  Speaker 5: happened to them.
• 2:38
Speaker 1: I think that is cruel.
• 2:41
Speaker 6: I remember being like nervous about that when I was
• 2:42
Speaker 6: rushing wide spread it.
• 2:47
Speaker 4: Like I think, how everyone checks their Halloween candy and
• 2:52
Speaker 4: did you know that's like a not a thing? Yeah,
• 2:55
Speaker 4: thank you Easton's here. We've one guy here that was
• 2:58
Speaker 4: a whole fake thing, you know how like you're would
• 3:00
Speaker 4: be like I did check your Halloween candy if somebody's
• 3:03
Speaker 4: poisoning the Halloween candy, and like it never actually ever happened,
• 3:06
Speaker 4: but it became this like urban legend, and so this
• 3:09
Speaker 4: fil check and the Halloween this feels like yeah, so
• 3:12
  Speaker 4: I think too.
• 3:13
Speaker 3: Okay, our initiation ceremonies really as creepy and dramatic as
• 3:18
  Speaker 3: they are portrayed.
• 3:21
Speaker 4: A weird yeah, they are a little bit.
• 3:25
Speaker 1: You're a Kappa, Yeah, I heard Kapas was weird.
• 3:28
Speaker 4: I don't know if we're any weirder than anyone else,
• 3:29
Speaker 4: but like there was definitely this is what will I
• 3:32
Speaker 4: say that I feel comfortable, So I'll tell you what.
• 3:34
Speaker 4: I'll feel comfortable saying Number one, there were palm fronds.
• 3:37
Speaker 4: I never knew what a palm fron was. Oh my god,
• 3:41
  Speaker 4: robes for sure.
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: Robes.
• 3:43
Speaker 4: Yes, I believe there was some sprinkling of water. And
• 3:47
Speaker 4: I will say this, which I'm totally throwing the anonymous
• 3:50
Speaker 4: thing out the window. But my mom was also in
• 3:54
Speaker 4: my same sorority, in my same house. So there was
• 3:57
Speaker 4: a root we got you kind of get all per
• 4:00
Speaker 4: raid it around. And there was a room and I
• 4:02
Speaker 4: won't name it, but it had like a certain color
• 4:05
Speaker 4: and it was definitely like all woo woo decorated weird.
• 4:09
Speaker 4: And someone came out of the room and they go, dude,
• 4:12
Speaker 4: your mom's in there, like and my mom was. I
• 4:15
Speaker 4: remember kind of being very sleep and looking up and
• 4:18
  Speaker 4: I'm like, my mom's in here. Like there's a I
• 4:21
Speaker 4: feel comfortable saying that part.
• 4:23
Speaker 1: There's a rumor once Slaty requires there. What do you
• 4:27
Speaker 1: call those the girls the likelges pledges to get into
• 4:31
Speaker 1: a casket? Not us not No, it wasn't Kapa.
• 4:35
Speaker 4: I've never heard that. It was just like a Halloween.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: And and they wear like nude this is the rumor.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: They wear like a nude brawn underwear and they get
• 4:47
Speaker 1: into a casket. Not that is not definitely, so that
• 4:54
Speaker 1: sounds really creepy, just like knelt down at the front
• 4:57
Speaker 1: and they like make you recite the stuff like a sermon.
• 5:01
Speaker 5: Did you guys have to drink anything? It wasn't drinking,
• 5:04
Speaker 5: but we had to drink a little sip of this thing.
• 5:09
Speaker 5: I'm like, guys, I have a lot of allergies, like
• 5:12
  Speaker 5: what is this?
• 5:13
Speaker 1: And then a secret name for it.
• 5:20
Speaker 3: When people like go when they like trip and it's
• 5:21
Speaker 3: like center, Like if.
• 5:30
Speaker 4: Somebody tried to tell me to drink something, I'd be
• 5:32
  Speaker 4: like absolutely.
• 5:32
Speaker 5: I was like, guys, I have a lot of allergies,
• 5:35
Speaker 5: like what is this?
• 5:36
Speaker 1: Like we can't tell you. And then I drank and
• 5:38
Speaker 1: I was allergic to us.
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: Okay, but considered.
• 5:47
Speaker 3: I felt like mine was like you know, like if
• 5:50
Speaker 3: you're like religious or you're at church and like you
• 5:52
Speaker 3: hear the pastor say something, it just like hits and
• 5:55
Speaker 3: you just start crying. Yeah, that's like how my already drinking,
• 5:58
Speaker 3: Like I just started like room was so emotional and
• 6:01
  Speaker 3: like crying.
• 6:03
Speaker 4: White crying is very fuzzy. I cannot totally remember our creff.
• 6:08
Speaker 1: Round was where the tears came.
• 6:10
Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I remember our initiation was, or at least
• 6:13
Speaker 6: the two have been in were always the Sunday after hollowekend,
• 6:17
Speaker 6: so everyone was just really hungover. So like if there
• 6:19
Speaker 6: were emotions, it was like not from the initiation.
• 6:23
Speaker 3: Was a bit rough. Okay, what about this one? Did
• 6:29
Speaker 3: your sorority have any secret rituals? I know you said
• 6:32
Speaker 3: you have this secret coverts we.
• 6:35
Speaker 4: Had, I feel locked out, A password, a knock, a handshake,
• 6:38
Speaker 4: all kinds of secret songs, all kinds of stuff you
• 6:41
  Speaker 4: guys didn't.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: We had the knock, we had the handshake during rush,
• 6:46
Speaker 1: we had specific songs that we would sing when the
• 6:48
Speaker 1: girls would go through that. I don't think other sororities did.
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: But I don't have a password. Don't you have a pass?
• 6:56
Speaker 1: I mean maybe I just left out of it and
• 6:58
Speaker 1: someone's gonna listen and be like, you definitely had a
• 7:00
Speaker 1: pass for you were supposed to know.
• 7:04
Speaker 4: I definitely use it as like a lot of my
• 7:05
  Speaker 4: email logins.
• 7:09
Speaker 3: Oh, is it true some houses have secret rooms only
• 7:12
Speaker 3: certain members can enter?
• 7:16
Speaker 4: Not that not that I know. I think the child
• 7:18
Speaker 4: room had some sort of secret back room.
• 7:21
Speaker 2: I don't think the boys in your house. Yes, after
• 7:25
Speaker 2: a certain amount of not.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: Half hours, Oh yeah, they could come. Yeah, I think
• 7:29
Speaker 1: ours was like nine to five. They could come upstairs,
• 7:32
Speaker 1: but they could eat meals.
• 7:34
Speaker 3: I think it's interesting too, because like the fraternities are
• 7:37
Speaker 3: the ones that always have the parties, like at San
• 7:39
Speaker 3: Diego State, Like like a sorority would.
• 7:42
Speaker 2: Never ever have a party and never, no, never, never.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: You can't drink in the house, so how would you
• 7:49
Speaker 1: have a party, Well you can't.
• 7:52
  Speaker 3: But sneaky.
• 7:56
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 7:57
Speaker 3: Do sororities ever vote people out for not fitting an esthetic?
• 8:02
  Speaker 4: No?
• 8:02
Speaker 1: No, no, I'm glad everyone agrees on them.
• 8:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, how their schools wear by Yeah. Do sororities really
• 8:24
Speaker 3: fine members for silly things like missing events or not
• 8:26
Speaker 3: wearing the right outfit?
• 8:27
Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, I would say, like.
• 8:30
Speaker 4: But not wearing the right outfit, I think the outfit for.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: A chapter you had to wear normal chapter. If you
• 8:38
Speaker 1: didn't wear, you wear like a white dress. In the
• 8:41
Speaker 1: beginning of the year, when there were new members, they
• 8:43
Speaker 1: had to go through their like step program thing like
• 8:46
Speaker 1: your initiation rituals. Yeah, you want to wear a white dress.
• 8:50
Speaker 5: And certain color shoes.
• 8:51
Speaker 3: I think it was.
• 8:53
Speaker 4: Because I have to wear a skirt to like Monday
• 8:55
  Speaker 4: night dinner.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: No, no, I wear but Monday night was Chapters, so
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: you'd wear dress.
• 9:00
Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, Monday night we had to wear to
• 9:02
Speaker 4: the dinner. We had to wear a skirt. But it
• 9:05
Speaker 4: was so it was like the nineties, so people were
• 9:06
Speaker 4: literally wearing jeans and pull a skirt over it.
• 9:09
Speaker 1: We would do something boots and a dress and then
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: about the shoes.
• 9:15
Speaker 4: That was the night too. It was like a more
• 9:16
Speaker 4: formal dinner. I don't totally remember how that worked, but
• 9:21
Speaker 4: it was definitely more formal.
• 9:23
Speaker 7: Yeah, because it was right china or anything, but so
• 9:26
Speaker 7: you had to be dressed to go into chesa.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: Eat paper plates we used, no, they were like seram.
• 9:33
Speaker 1: We had like special china that we would have for
• 9:35
Speaker 1: like very formal dinner. Oh okay, we'd have it like
• 9:38
Speaker 1: a couple of times a year. It was like the
• 9:39
Speaker 1: special Katie China. Okay, I don't know, fancy.
• 9:44
Speaker 2: Do you sororities? Burn or yeah?
• 9:47
Speaker 3: Burner berry items during initiation ceremonies.
• 9:50
Speaker 4: No, no, no, okay, good juicy weird questions.
• 9:56
Speaker 3: There really a blood oath or vow that last ever,
• 10:01
Speaker 3: no blood, no blood.
• 10:03
Speaker 6: I think the vows kind of like figurative, like I
• 10:05
Speaker 6: promise to, you know, be with these sisters for life,
• 10:08
Speaker 6: but it's like no one's wanting to do that.
• 10:14
  Speaker 3: We all live.
• 10:16
Speaker 5: We all also probably vowed not to expose the secrets that.
• 10:19
Speaker 1: We're exposing the password.
• 10:22
Speaker 4: That's why I feel, OK, as long as you don't
• 10:28
Speaker 4: give away the past words golden rule, give you my
• 10:32
Speaker 4: knock or my handshake either Nope, I'll give it to
• 10:36
  Speaker 4: the other girl.
• 10:36
Speaker 3: Muscley right here, Okay, is what you see in the
• 10:41
Speaker 3: movies like Legally Blonde or The House Bunny remotely accurate.
• 10:45
Speaker 4: It seels too pink for me.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: Pink. I just think about that.
• 10:52
Speaker 5: One scene from Legally Blonde where the date is coming
• 10:57
Speaker 5: to the house and all the girls are peeking over
• 10:59
Speaker 5: the balcony and out the windows and stuff.
• 11:01
Speaker 1: That's like, wait, that's kind of real. We did that really. Yeah.
• 11:07
Speaker 1: When we lived in the house, we had a front
• 11:08
Speaker 1: balcony that looked over and if a girl is going
• 11:12
Speaker 1: to go on a date, like one of our friends,
• 11:14
Speaker 1: he had to come up and like pick her up
• 11:16
Speaker 1: from the door and we would all be like standing
• 11:19
Speaker 1: on the balcony watching my gosh, yeah a little portion realea,
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: what's going on?
• 11:26
Speaker 5: It was kind of real, Yeah, how cinematic.
• 11:31
Speaker 1: Maybe they were inspired.
• 11:34
Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, is it true that some sororities have date
• 11:38
Speaker 3: dungeons or secret hookup rooms.
• 11:40
Speaker 4: No, No, that is so true.
• 11:43
Speaker 6: I would say, like, like not intentionally, but there just
• 11:48
Speaker 6: happens to be rooms that like have continuously been like
• 11:52
  Speaker 6: the hook up.
• 11:53
Speaker 2: Room like brand guy.
• 11:55
Speaker 4: Well no, like it's like there's like the.
• 11:56
Speaker 6: Guest bathroom like in your right, or there's like a
• 12:00
Speaker 6: basement like there's just sort of you can.
• 12:03
Speaker 7: I don't know, camera is everywhere in that we have
• 12:07
Speaker 7: a thing called the date room. But you would just
• 12:10
Speaker 7: like it's so old timy again proper. You'd be like,
• 12:13
Speaker 7: no one even went in the date room. I'm trying
• 12:14
Speaker 7: to think of like good night, but like nobody's doing Like.
• 12:20
Speaker 3: We definitely had a basement room that it was like
• 12:22
Speaker 3: people want to watch TV.
• 12:24
Speaker 4: We had no basement scandal.
• 12:29
Speaker 3: Okay, do members really keep secrets for life? Like you
• 12:33
Speaker 3: get in trouble if you told.
• 12:35
Speaker 4: Yes, I still am afraid if I tell you from
• 12:41
Speaker 4: somebody being like you are no longer assistant.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: There doesn't there has to be like some like psychological
• 12:46
Speaker 3: thing with that, because like it is like a fear.
• 12:49
Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of people.
• 12:50
Speaker 3: Have like totally like they like engrave like a trust
• 12:53
Speaker 3: in you or something.
• 12:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like if you take, they make you
• 12:56
Speaker 1: feel so special for being chosen to be in the sorority. Yeah,
• 12:59
Speaker 1: like each other kind of thing where I feel like
• 13:02
Speaker 1: you just feel like I don't know how to explain it.
• 13:06
Speaker 4: It's why we when we created this show, we wanted
• 13:10
Speaker 4: people to feel they could be anonymous because all these
• 13:13
Speaker 4: things TikTok hulse thing, you know, lifetimes thing, they're never
• 13:18
Speaker 4: really good because the people are too afraid to actually
• 13:23
Speaker 4: tell their true stories. So that's why we feel like
• 13:26
Speaker 4: this podcast is good. Yeah, reviews, we get those too,
• 13:31
Speaker 4: but those one of these upcoming episodes will read those.
• 13:34
Speaker 4: But we feel like because people are anonymous, they actually
• 13:36
Speaker 4: will tell more than they would.
• 13:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, otherwise, I think the thing too about being in
• 13:40
Speaker 3: a sorority, like it's so fun and I honestly it
• 13:43
Speaker 3: helped me so much in college. But like I love
• 13:46
Speaker 3: like all my like crazy stories that I have from it.
• 13:49
Speaker 3: Like I feel like a lot of people when they
• 13:51
Speaker 3: like call in and like talk to It's like these
• 13:53
Speaker 3: crazy stories I like happened in their sorority. But a
• 13:55
Speaker 3: lot of time people don't want to share them because
• 13:57
Speaker 3: they're like, oh, is it bad if I share that?
• 13:59
Speaker 2: But I'm like, they're just like fun college stories.
• 14:01
Speaker 4: But I do like that I know the password and
• 14:03
Speaker 4: I won't name her because she's anonymous, but the girl
• 14:05
Speaker 4: next to me, I know she's in my same sorority,
• 14:08
Speaker 4: and I know she knows the password, and we kind
• 14:11
Speaker 4: of it's like there's a little like extra bond between us.
• 14:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, when we first met, you gave me the handshake,
• 14:16
Speaker 3: and I have to I almost didn't remember it.
• 14:18
Speaker 1: But yeah, that's like a special thing.
• 14:24
  Speaker 2: Okay, last question.
• 14:25
Speaker 3: Do sorority members secretly black lives.
• 14:28
Speaker 2: Girls they don't like?
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: Yes, for sure.
• 14:31
  Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that's.
• 14:38
Speaker 4: So you would stand up in the meeting and say
• 14:41
Speaker 4: you would probably say something like, I'm so sorry, guys,
• 14:45
Speaker 4: but this is a hometown con because bloody Blah did
• 14:51
  Speaker 4: bloody bloody.
• 14:52
Speaker 1: I like every sorty probably has a system where they
• 14:56
Speaker 1: if someone did something really bad in high school, they
• 14:58
Speaker 1: find a way to make sure rush team knows.
• 15:01
Speaker 6: Yeah, we have that too. It's called the character concerns
• 15:03
Speaker 6: because it's like genuinely like if that hypothetical person joins
• 15:06
Speaker 6: the house and then makes a bunch of other people
• 15:08
Speaker 6: that they know from home uncomfortable, Like if they are
• 15:10
Speaker 6: not a good person, then like we don't want them here.
• 15:13
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 15:14
Speaker 6: It's not like we don't like them because like, oh
• 15:16
  Speaker 6: they're not pretty or something. It's like if they're a
• 15:18
Speaker 6: bad person, yeah, Like we don't want you to be
• 15:20
  Speaker 6: a part of.
• 15:21
Speaker 1: Yeah, because you don't know. Social media has made it
• 15:23
Speaker 1: easier now, but back before it was such a big
• 15:26
Speaker 1: part of rush. I feel like, you know, you just
• 15:28
Speaker 1: kind of have to go based off of other people's
• 15:30
Speaker 1: experiences with them, and you kind.
• 15:32
Speaker 4: Of have to do do any of your This never
• 15:35
Speaker 4: happened in my house, but I heard about it where
• 15:37
Speaker 4: girls would steal clothes or jewelry or things from like
• 15:41
Speaker 4: someone's room. This never happened in my house. I never
• 15:44
Speaker 4: but I did hear about it across the street.
• 15:47
Speaker 3: Why do I think I feel like it faintly happened
• 15:49
Speaker 3: in mine? I can't fully remember it. Like that sounds
• 15:53
Speaker 3: familiar I know with food.
• 15:56
Speaker 6: Food still have that with food because we're like a
• 15:58
Speaker 6: communal fridge and we found the cold brit no, because
• 16:02
Speaker 6: it was just like junior when we were all sophomores,
• 16:04
Speaker 6: and like, it's totally fine. But I think she had
• 16:07
Speaker 6: this mentality of like, okay, well, if it's not a
• 16:09
Speaker 6: girl's food that I know, no one's gonna know. But
• 16:11
Speaker 6: then we all would like everyone was separately catching her
• 16:13
Speaker 6: eating a food that didn't belong to her.
• 16:15
Speaker 4: Like, well, we didn't have locks on the doors. Did
• 16:17
Speaker 4: you do you have locks on your bedroom doors?
• 16:19
  Speaker 5: Oh?
• 16:20
Speaker 4: Wait, you could lock it.
• 16:21
Speaker 1: You were inside, But we didn't have a key.
• 16:23
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yah, we didn't have Actually I don't think
• 16:24
Speaker 4: you could even lock it.
• 16:25
  Speaker 3: I don't know.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: I think it's in the store locked on our house.
• 16:29
Speaker 3: It's also like I'm pretty sure we had cameras in
• 16:31
Speaker 3: ours in your rooms, not in the rooms.
• 16:33
Speaker 2: But like in the hallways.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: Our halls didn't like the residence halls didn't have cameras,
• 16:39
Speaker 1: but like everyone else in the house did. Even the
• 16:40
Speaker 1: stairs had cameras, Like cameras.
• 16:43
Speaker 4: Is there any other like roomor or like, I don't know,
• 16:47
Speaker 4: do you call it a misnomer? Is that the right word?
• 16:49
Speaker 4: Like something that people always think about sororities that are
• 16:52
Speaker 4: actually not true. I mean, we didn't have pillow fights,
• 16:56
  Speaker 4: that's for sure.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: We did slide down the stairs with our mattresses like
• 17:00
Speaker 1: in the Princess Tire. Yeah, we took our little twin
• 17:05
Speaker 1: mattresses off of the bed and like slid down the
• 17:07
Speaker 1: stairs one night. But that's not a rumor. That's just
• 17:09
Speaker 1: like a funny little memory the way.
• 17:11
  Speaker 2: That's cute.
• 17:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think honestly, for me, like beat in a sorority,
• 17:15
Speaker 3: like I didn't know much about it, and I was like,
• 17:17
  Speaker 3: that's so stupid.
• 17:18
Speaker 2: I'm never gonna do that.
• 17:21
Speaker 3: My roommate was like, will you please like rush with me?
• 17:24
Speaker 3: And she paid my like rush fee or whatever to
• 17:27
Speaker 3: do it, and I was like, okay, whatever, I'll do it.
• 17:29
Speaker 3: And like I have like my favorite times and like
• 17:31
Speaker 3: my best memories in it.
• 17:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, I would go back on dred percent. Like I'm
• 17:35
Speaker 4: hoping that when I'm like eighty, that there's a bunch
• 17:38
Speaker 4: of other eighty year old sorority sisters and they're like.
• 17:40
  Speaker 3: The loon too.
• 17:41
Speaker 4: I want to live there again. People all just live
• 17:44
Speaker 4: together and play Majahan or something.
• 17:47
Speaker 1: I would totally go back. I miss it every day.
• 17:49
  Speaker 4: Totally me too.
• 18:04
Speaker 2: Okay, I actually I have two more questions. Let's do them.
• 18:07
Speaker 3: Okay, do you guys think our legacy is guaranteed a spot.
• 18:12
Speaker 1: It's not guaranteed, but I think it can help.
• 18:15
Speaker 4: Not anymore. But what I know, which I didn't know then,
• 18:18
Speaker 4: was because I was a legacy when I made it
• 18:22
Speaker 4: to which my mom knew. So I was like on
• 18:24
Speaker 4: pref Nite stressing and my mom slept like a baby
• 18:27
Speaker 4: because she knew. So it used to be and this
• 18:30
Speaker 4: has changed. If you were a legacy and you got
• 18:32
Speaker 4: to prefnite, you would be on the top of the list.
• 18:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, and they won't cut you you.
• 18:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, if you go to prefnite in your legacy, you're in.
• 18:41
Speaker 4: But the rusher doesn't know, but the girls in the
• 18:44
Speaker 4: house know, and like the mom knew.
• 18:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's how it was.
• 18:49
  Speaker 1: I don't think it's like that at almost because there's
• 18:51
Speaker 1: like weird glitches that can happen sometimes when like this
• 18:54
Speaker 1: girl picks the sorority and that sorority picks her and
• 18:58
Speaker 1: something I actually know for that's happened a few people
• 19:01
Speaker 1: and then and it doesn't work and then they get dropped.
• 19:04
Speaker 4: You also couldn't get dropped on the first day if
• 19:06
Speaker 4: you were a legacy in my era, it's not that.
• 19:10
Speaker 3: I think probably like that for a lot so crazy
• 19:12
Speaker 3: sense you were in your a sorority and then your
• 19:15
Speaker 3: little sister is in the same one.
• 19:16
Speaker 2: Was she considered a legacy or does it have to
• 19:18
  Speaker 2: be your mom?
• 19:19
Speaker 1: I think she was considered legacy and sister, that's like
• 19:24
Speaker 1: the strongest there is.
• 19:25
Speaker 4: But if you're an in house sister, it is the strongest.
• 19:29
Speaker 1: But there are stories, and there are girls. I know
• 19:31
Speaker 1: of a couple on the top of my head and
• 19:33
Speaker 1: how sister stuff went down.
• 19:36
Speaker 4: Archerie over there, what's your name?
• 19:38
Speaker 5: I don't remember? Morgan Morgan Morgan yeahened my younger sister.
• 19:46
Speaker 1: They dropped her right off.
• 19:48
Speaker 5: And you want to know why I think that was
• 19:50
Speaker 5: is because her ro gamma was in my sorority. She
• 19:54
Speaker 5: did know that, and she told her, oh, I'm open
• 19:57
Speaker 5: to doing anything, not even that she didn't want to
• 19:59
Speaker 5: go my but just that she was open to exploring
• 20:02
Speaker 5: other options too. And after the next round.
• 20:06
Speaker 4: Do you think rogans and roquies are calling the house
• 20:09
Speaker 4: and like breaking the rules?
• 20:10
Speaker 1: Because I never thought, okay, it's a big problem. Really, Yeah,
• 20:16
Speaker 1: they're snitches. I always feel like the girls that did
• 20:21
Speaker 1: that were very like they weren't that involved in their sorority.
• 20:28
Speaker 1: They were trying to find a home elsewhere, but like
• 20:31
Speaker 1: they liked their sorority. I don't know how to explain it.
• 20:34
Speaker 2: WHOA, that makes sense.
• 20:36
Speaker 1: Maybe they were I think they were devoted to their
• 20:39
Speaker 1: job where they were like, you will never find out
• 20:41
  Speaker 1: what sperrity I'm in. I don't know. I have a
• 20:44
Speaker 1: question for you. See I'm ready.
• 20:47
Speaker 2: Do you guys think they should be guaranteed a spot legacy?
• 20:50
  Speaker 1: Yeah?
• 20:51
Speaker 4: See, I do. I think they should bring the legacy
• 20:52
  Speaker 4: thing back. I think it's like a bummer that that's
• 20:55
Speaker 4: not around anymore, because it doesn't mean you're automatically in,
• 20:58
Speaker 4: But there was something I like about the tradition of
• 21:01
Speaker 4: that and the whole legacy of what the sorority is.
• 21:11
Speaker 1: No, I agree, I think that they can be like
• 21:14
Speaker 1: noticed as a legacy, which they I think still are.
• 21:16
Speaker 1: But I don't think you should like to guarantee.
• 21:19
Speaker 4: But if you get to prep I do like that
• 21:22
Speaker 4: you would get to go on the top of the list.
• 21:23
Speaker 4: I mean there's something about it. I like.
• 21:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, my question for you is and they've done
• 21:28
Speaker 1: away with it now. But do you recall during rush,
• 21:32
Speaker 1: the active member would go out and yell out to
• 21:36
Speaker 1: the P and M the potential new member, and they
• 21:41
Speaker 1: would pick based off of who is liked the most
• 21:44
Speaker 1: in order. Does that make sense?
• 21:47
  Speaker 4: Explain it?
• 21:48
Speaker 1: Explain it more so, I'm the active member, and y'all
• 21:51
Speaker 1: are the p and ms?
• 21:52
Speaker 4: Are we pledges already? Are this is okay?
• 21:56
Speaker 1: And I? Instead of going in alphabetic order, which is
• 21:59
Speaker 1: how they do it now, they would call out their
• 22:01
Speaker 1: like favorite girl, so they'd be like so and so,
• 22:05
Speaker 1: and then toward the end of the line, like you
• 22:06
Speaker 1: could tell this house didn't really like you because you
• 22:09
  Speaker 1: were like, oh.
• 22:10
Speaker 4: No, I don't know anything about that.
• 22:12
Speaker 1: They didn't do that for y'all.
• 22:13
Speaker 4: We knew was as like rushies. We were called rushi's.
• 22:18
Speaker 4: Like if a bunch of actives were coming over, so
• 22:21
Speaker 4: you know, you're sitting throughout the ass and like bump
• 22:23
Speaker 4: groups are going. If a lot of actives were coming
• 22:26
Speaker 4: over and like oh yay, oh hey, you know, or
• 22:29
Speaker 4: Susan told me to come say hey, I think you
• 22:31
Speaker 4: kind of got a feeling like, oh I think this
• 22:33
Speaker 4: is going okay? For me, I think this is going
• 22:35
  Speaker 4: well here.
• 22:36
Speaker 1: And they still do that for sure, but yeah when
• 22:39
Speaker 1: they so I don't know how they did it for y'all,
• 22:41
Speaker 1: but you stand outside of the house. All the rushies
• 22:43
Speaker 1: stand outside of the house, and then members from they
• 22:47
Speaker 1: run out and they go John Doe, Rain Do, Jane
• 22:55
Speaker 1: Doe and then she like runs up. But usually it's
• 22:58
Speaker 1: like a to Z. But I and this may just
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: be a rumor.
• 23:01
Speaker 2: Wait, why do I know? I think something like that
• 23:03
Speaker 2: happens at San Diego, say.
• 23:05
Speaker 1: Where they would be like, oh, we think Daisy at
• 23:07
  Speaker 1: the topnt.
• 23:08
  Speaker 2: Of the house.
• 23:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, you like stand outside group, Yeah, and you're just
• 23:12
Speaker 1: standing to welcome back.
• 23:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, yes, yes that's what it is.
• 23:16
Speaker 4: Oh, I don't remember this at all. I just remember
• 23:18
Speaker 4: all walking in in a big clump.
• 23:20
Speaker 6: Well you know, you.
• 23:20
Speaker 1: Would stand in lines, which it was in alphabetic order
• 23:23
Speaker 1: for us. But if way back when, I don't know
• 23:25
Speaker 1: if it's a rumor or not, but they're like, oh
• 23:27
Speaker 1: Daisy can't like we really need to like show her
• 23:29
Speaker 1: we love her. They call her name.
• 23:33
Speaker 3: Like I'm so excited to talk again to Daisy Kent
• 23:36
Speaker 3: and then I'd like walk up.
• 23:37
Speaker 1: Is that what y'all would do our just be we'd
• 23:39
Speaker 1: like scream the name as lot as we could, and
• 23:40
Speaker 1: then you got dirty rushed. I did, Yeah, you did, well, idiot,
• 23:47
Speaker 1: it was it was just a fee.
• 23:48
Speaker 6: Actually, they like this is like dramatic maybe not dirty rush,
• 23:51
Speaker 6: but they just like DMed me on Instagram and apparently
• 23:54
Speaker 6: DMed like a bunch of girls maybe looking at the
• 23:56
Speaker 6: like class of twenty twenty whatever.
• 23:58
Speaker 4: This is during rush.
• 23:59
Speaker 6: This was right before I wanted to make sure that
• 24:02
Speaker 6: you sent in the application to show you interest in
• 24:04
Speaker 6: rushing if you have any questions, like let me know
• 24:07
Speaker 6: And they say in the message like they're kind of
• 24:09
Speaker 6: they're not alluding to like, oh, join like our sorority,
• 24:12
Speaker 6: but they're just like like it's obviously kind of you
• 24:14
Speaker 6: can imply like, okay, this girl in the sorority is
• 24:16
Speaker 6: dming me, then like maybe they're nice, maybe I'll join them.
• 24:19
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 24:19
  Speaker 4: I can't remember if I told the story, but I
• 24:21
Speaker 4: definitely got phone calls during rush. I don't want to
• 24:24
Speaker 4: out one of my like literally oldest friends still and
• 24:27
Speaker 4: she would call my because I lived in a different
• 24:30
Speaker 4: not you know, I lived in a different place. We
• 24:33
Speaker 4: didn't live in the sorority our freshman year, so we
• 24:35
Speaker 4: all listen more and the phone would ring landline. We
• 24:37
Speaker 4: didn't even have cell phones, and the voice would say
• 24:41
Speaker 4: say hi mom, and I was like, well, hi mom,
• 24:45
Speaker 4: but it was the girl calling from the house to
• 24:48
Speaker 4: find out like to get dirt, like okay, wow, who
• 24:52
Speaker 4: likes us? What's happening?
• 24:55
  Speaker 1: Tell us?
• 24:55
  Speaker 4: Who likes us?
• 24:57
  Speaker 2: Interesting?
• 24:58
Speaker 4: So I was like, I'll tell you everything. And I
• 25:00
Speaker 4: still was not like realizing like I'm in. I still
• 25:03
Speaker 4: was like very nervous, like I hope they take me.
• 25:05
Speaker 4: And then I was like I should have put two
• 25:07
  Speaker 4: and two together.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: They wouldn't let us bring our phones. That's something that's
• 25:10
Speaker 1: different from then verse Now we had to leave our phones,
• 25:14
Speaker 1: Like in our dorm room, we could not bring our phones.
• 25:17
Speaker 1: And when we would go and do ranking at the
• 25:18
Speaker 1: end of the day, you could not say a peep
• 25:21
Speaker 1: in line. So there was like one time where I
• 25:24
Speaker 1: got but now now you do it on your phone.
• 25:28
Speaker 1: Like it was crazy. Yeah. We went to this big
• 25:32
Speaker 1: like big yeah classroom and I accidentally like bumped into
• 25:37
Speaker 1: a girl and I was like, oh sorry, and the lady.
• 25:40
Speaker 4: Was like, Doc, do you guys know what a scam
• 25:42
Speaker 4: tron is Yeah, I think we filled it out on
• 25:45
  Speaker 4: a scam tron.
• 25:46
Speaker 1: I think we kind of did too. Oh whoa, yeah, no,
• 25:51
Speaker 1: I think we behind old.
• 25:53
Speaker 4: Miss I remember filling out bubbles. I think scam.
• 25:57
Speaker 1: I want to say we did something very similar to that, Like, yeah,
• 26:01
Speaker 1: I was on paper.
• 26:03
Speaker 4: B you know, making like fifty checks to make sure
• 26:06
Speaker 4: I was not blowing the scantron. I don't know why
• 26:08
Speaker 4: that's what I think, but that's like what my memory
• 26:10
Speaker 4: is thinking. I could be risky, Like yes.
• 26:13
Speaker 2: You're definitely like your preferences could like disappear or be changed.
• 26:18
Speaker 4: Or like a pencil. I know, Yeah, that sounds risky
• 26:20
  Speaker 4: to me.
• 26:21
  Speaker 2: We were.
• 26:21
Speaker 4: We did ours on the computer, but we didn't have
• 26:24
Speaker 4: computers in the nineties like there. We didn't have cell
• 26:28
Speaker 4: phones and we didn't have computers. I had like an
• 26:31
Speaker 4: Apple tube likes into rocks. Yeah, like Wilma Finstone. I
• 26:36
Speaker 4: was like, okay, want Kappa into the sh a.
• 26:40
Speaker 2: Chiesepit in there? Well this was dirty. Okay everyone.
• 26:47
