- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Do they call the show the Neil Sevadra Show? They
- 0:15Speaker 2: do not.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I refer to you affectionately as Alexa, because you only
- 0:21Speaker 1: listen when you hear your own name.
- 0:23Speaker 2: That's a very good point, Neil. I'll tell you what.
- 0:26Speaker 2: We've done a very good job this morning offending each other.
- 0:29Speaker 2: So let's stop right now. Oh, by the way, have
- 0:32Speaker 2: I told you how fat Neil is? And now handle
- 0:36Speaker 2: on the news, Ladies and gentlemen. Here's Bill Handle. Good
- 0:42Speaker 2: morning everybody, Bill Handle here. It's Monday, February twenty third. Yes,
- 0:47Speaker 2: Neil is still fat. You're a horrible person. Hey, first
- 0:52Speaker 2: first words out of the out of the gate, after
- 0:55Speaker 2: good warning everybody. Yes, it's a good start. It's a
- 0:59Speaker 2: good start. Okay, we have a lot to cover today,
- 1:01Speaker 2: but first it is a hello to one in all. Will,
- 1:04Speaker 2: Good morning, Good morning, Bill. There's a Will Coles River,
- 1:08Speaker 2: the man who adds so much to the show. He
- 1:11Speaker 2: looks at his screen and goes, oops, there's some traffic
- 1:13Speaker 2: up there. Okay, thank you, goodness. Will has a contract.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah sure, yeah, okay, con o, good morning, good morning,
- 1:25Speaker 2: And Will does probably have the most important job on
- 1:28Speaker 2: the show. Oh yeah, for you, because he spent two
- 1:30Speaker 2: hours in and out of traffic getting here every morning. Here,
- 1:33Speaker 2: everyone listening is in traffic, thank you. True, that's not true.
- 1:38Speaker 2: There are plenty of people at home. There are plenty
- 1:40Speaker 2: of people that are appointment listening. That's what they call it.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Home.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, four people. I understand that. Not too many. All right.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Cono drives in spends what an hour driving in every morning?
- 1:52Speaker 2: A full hour on the road our twenty home. Wow,
- 1:56Speaker 2: well it's very important on my drive home. Yeah, how's
- 1:58Speaker 2: the car doing? By the way it's doing. It's a
- 2:00Speaker 2: wonderful car. No it is? How much it? What's your
- 2:02Speaker 2: gas mileage? I've asked that before. I don't think you
- 2:04Speaker 2: were ever Edge never told me many times. I've told
- 2:07Speaker 2: you twenty I've forgotten. Okay, okay, good enough. So I've
- 2:13Speaker 2: already as a matter of fact, I just forgot what
- 2:15Speaker 2: you said. So that works out. I'm gonna do a
- 2:18Speaker 2: story to about memory today too. Oh right, what else
- 2:23Speaker 2: is going on? Oh? My brother in law just lost
- 2:27Speaker 2: his house in a fire, and it's brutal. It is brutal.
- 2:32Speaker 2: He went out for an errand and he left his
- 2:36Speaker 2: phone was charging and they think it was his phone.
- 2:39Speaker 2: And he comes back and his house is come with
- 2:41Speaker 2: his hour. He's gone for an hour, comes back the
- 2:44Speaker 2: place is completely engulfed. That is good. That is a
- 2:48Speaker 2: tough one. That's a tough one. Neighbor got it. The
- 2:50Speaker 2: dog out, but there were a couple of birds in
- 2:53Speaker 2: there that did not survive. It was just horrific. It
- 2:57Speaker 2: really is. I mean, when you lose something in a fire,
- 3:01Speaker 2: it's everything you have. I mean it's not just the building.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I mean, the building can be replaced, but it's the photos,
- 3:08Speaker 2: it's the memories, it's the choas, the choch keys that
- 3:13Speaker 2: you have, you know, it's just it's tough. So anyway,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I just wanted to start the day broadcast with some
- 3:21Speaker 2: happy news. All right, Neil, good morning. Oh thanks, I'll
- 3:25Speaker 2: follow that. Yeah, you're welcome. How how's Morongo? By the way,
- 3:28Speaker 2: you broadcast on Saturday Mango.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And I will tell you that was some of the
- 3:33Speaker 1: best food I've had. They they pulled out all the stops,
- 3:39Speaker 1: they just had the they make the pastries in house.
- 3:43Speaker 1: They brought out a thirty two ounce Tomahawk Rabbi that
- 3:48Speaker 1: was insane. Mac and cheese with brisket on top of
- 3:53Speaker 1: you would have died for.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So let me ask you a thirty two ounce tomahawk.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And I don't know if you're going to share the price,
- 4:02Speaker 2: but is your question sure? Is it a question of
- 4:05Speaker 2: a mortgage payment on your house or the tomahawk steak?
- 4:08Speaker 2: They take the case to your car after they run
- 4:11Speaker 2: how much it's worth.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Uh So it's one hundred and eighty dollars for it's
- 4:16Speaker 1: a it's a steak for two, and it comes with sides.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So as far as I know, they don't sell it
- 4:21Speaker 1: onto its own. It comes as a meal for two.
- 4:25Speaker 2: So when you bucks meal, well, for a very high
- 4:28Speaker 2: high end meal, it's that's not yet people spend that easily.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Oh I I want to.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I've had a steak that's one hundred dollars steak before
- 4:38Speaker 1: that's smaller than thirty two ounces.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Depends where you go. Okay, it does you know? And
- 4:43Speaker 2: it's okay, it's you know of course, of course. Amy,
- 4:47Speaker 2: good morning, Hello Bill. There's Disneyland sweat excellent. It's good
- 4:52Speaker 2: for you. Obviously you're a jersey. It's a what it's
- 4:56Speaker 2: a spirit jersey. It's not a space oh okay, a
- 4:58Speaker 2: spirit jersey, yeah, but a Disney Spirit jersey, of course, yes,
- 5:03Speaker 2: because its spirits Disney jersey.
- 5:06Speaker 3: What's the spirit jersey? Are you serious, Neil?
- 5:09Speaker 2: What's the spirit like?
- 5:11Speaker 3: It's the ones that are like this.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Oh I thought it was like your spirit I thought
- 5:14Speaker 2: it was like your spirit animal that you have spirit
- 5:20Speaker 2: it's your spirit mouse.
- 5:22Speaker 3: No, it's a spirit jersey. It's like a brand, Neil.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I can't believe you don't know this. You're a DISNEYO.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I do love Disney.
- 5:31Speaker 3: But okay, so all the jerseys where you have Disneyland
- 5:34Speaker 3: on back like this.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Gotcha, those those are all spirit jerseys. All right, there's amy.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I just said, good morning. You know, Spirit, we've done
- 5:45Speaker 2: enough of spirit talk and and good morning to you.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Good morning. Okay. Uh, we got a lot going on today.
- 5:52Speaker 2: To say the least, some Trump news I have to
- 5:54Speaker 2: share with you. There is. I mean, you talk about
- 5:57Speaker 2: Trump fatigue all over the world. I mean, people just
- 6:00Speaker 2: had it. They just go come on, guys, you know,
- 6:03Speaker 2: just stop it. You know, mourning one decision afternoon, another
- 6:06Speaker 2: one the next morning is a change. And then after
- 6:09Speaker 2: that is major major Supreme Court decision. We were talking
- 6:13Speaker 2: about that and I thought, actually it was going to
- 6:14Speaker 2: go the other way, because the Supreme Court is so
- 6:17Speaker 2: pro not necessarily Trump, but so pro well, actually it is,
- 6:21Speaker 2: but pro presidential authority, the expanse of presidential authority. And
- 6:27Speaker 2: the Court said no on this one regarding the tariffs,
- 6:30Speaker 2: and of course the President reacting that the court, the
- 6:33Speaker 2: ones that voted against them, are a bunch of lap
- 6:35Speaker 2: dogs and just great lines, just terrific. Not I just
- 6:39Speaker 2: disagree with the court eat a bunch of lap dogs
- 6:42Speaker 2: and traders, of course, And so they undid the tariffs
- 6:47Speaker 2: that he has called for, most of the tariffs he
- 6:49Speaker 2: has called for. And he said he came back with
- 6:53Speaker 2: double down. He said, remember the ten percent terariff I
- 6:57Speaker 2: had across the board, it's now a fifteen sent tariff. Hey,
- 7:01Speaker 2: my Schawans is bigger than yours. You know, I'll swing
- 7:05Speaker 2: mine all day long. I think that's what the court said. Specifically,
- 7:09Speaker 2: By the way, uh Is referred to Shawn's swinging, I
- 7:13Speaker 2: don't think that Schwans that was no. It was no,
- 7:16Speaker 2: that was that was constitutional law. I remember I remember
- 7:19Speaker 2: that in school the afternoon that we did Shawns was
- 7:24Speaker 2: swinging law. Yeah, okay, Uh, let's do it, guys. Obviously
- 7:29Speaker 2: we have tons and tons to stuff to cover, and
- 7:33Speaker 2: it's time for Handle on the News with Amy Neil
- 7:36Speaker 2: and me lead story. The former head, the late leader
- 7:46Speaker 2: of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Nemessio rubin O Seguera
- 7:52Speaker 2: serventes El Mencho di Chalupa uh is Uh is completely dead.
- 8:01Speaker 2: He was killed in actually they were the authorities were
- 8:05Speaker 2: trying to capture him, but firefight broke out and he
- 8:10Speaker 2: got shot up and he died after being while being
- 8:14Speaker 2: flown to Mexico City. And this guy, he started this
- 8:18Speaker 2: cartel and it was and it's been around a relatively
- 8:23Speaker 2: short period of time, but man just incredibly brutal, brutal
- 8:28Speaker 2: by cartel standards, if you can believe that. All right,
- 8:31Speaker 2: So anyway, the Mexican authorities have gotten him and it
- 8:35Speaker 2: was with US cooperation, So that's kind of news. So
- 8:40Speaker 2: it is the US and Mexico cooperating and they got him.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They got him, and of course unfortunately not even of course,
- 8:47Speaker 2: but unfortunately the response from the cartel has been a
- 8:52Speaker 2: burned buses and cars and block roads and will show
- 8:57Speaker 2: you we're going to make life miserable here. In Mexico. Uh,
- 9:01Speaker 2: we'll see what happens. It's kind of it's kind of nice.
- 9:03Speaker 2: It's gone from the days of El Chapo, where El
- 9:06Speaker 2: Chopo bought off the government in the military, to now
- 9:11Speaker 2: you have a real concerted effort to go after the
- 9:13Speaker 2: bad guys. A lot of this, by the way, is
- 9:15Speaker 2: Donald Trump doing. It's his doing. I mean he tells
- 9:18Speaker 2: Mexico know in certain terms, I I want this to happen,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and then under the breath he goes and otherwise we're
- 9:27Speaker 2: going to New Mexico City, and they believe him. Okay,
- 9:32Speaker 2: maybe he doesn't threaten in New Mexico City, but people
- 9:36Speaker 2: understand that you this is this is a president that
- 9:41Speaker 2: will go balls to the wall as has gone on
- 9:44Speaker 2: too long with the cartels. And oh yeah, it's Mexico's
- 9:50Speaker 2: corrupt anyway. Mexico is insanely corrupt and has been forever.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Shelter in place. The US Embassy in Mexico has issued
- 9:59Speaker 3: a security alert to anybody from America in Mexico to
- 10:04Speaker 3: shelter in place until further notice if they are in
- 10:07Speaker 3: Jalisco's state, which includes Puerto Rico, Chappaala, Guadalajara, Baja California State, Tijuana,
- 10:16Speaker 3: A bunch of cities.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Can clue Puerto Rico, she said, Puerto Rico. I've meant
- 10:19Speaker 2: port of Iarta. I meant Port of Iarta.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Sorry, the cartels are not in Puerto Rico, port.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Of All those brown people look the same.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Oh stop, yeah, yeah, Neil, that's exactly what I meant.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And said, Hey, didn't you hate bad bunny singing at
- 10:32Speaker 1: the Oh my god.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I did, I really did. And what is it? Also,
- 10:37Speaker 2: Quintana rue State. There you go. You said it much better.
- 10:42Speaker 3: So it's basically all over the place because of the
- 10:45Speaker 3: violence it's breaking out because of the killing of that
- 10:48Speaker 3: cartel leader.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I was about to make a Winnie the Pooh joke
- 10:52Speaker 2: with Queen Dona Rue State, but I'm not going to. Wow,
- 10:55Speaker 2: it didn't even work. That's where you're going with Rue.
- 10:57Speaker 2: I was, yeah, it didn't work.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Did you see any of the video coming out of there?
- 11:02Speaker 1: With all the smoke, It looked absolutely like a war zone. Absolutely.
- 11:07Speaker 1: The folks I like some independent journalists and locally it's
- 11:11Speaker 1: called the organization is La Taco and some of them
- 11:16Speaker 1: are there from Los Angeles and they were covering a
- 11:19Speaker 1: lot of it.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yesterday. All right, an armed man. This was a weird story.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Twenty one year old white guy, his name's Austin Tucker
- 11:27Speaker 1: Martin from North Carolina, showed up at one thirty am
- 11:31Speaker 1: there at mar A Lago, just on the perimeter, the inside,
- 11:34Speaker 1: just part of the perimeter there was fatally shot by
- 11:37Speaker 1: Secret Service. They say, he shows up at one thirty am.
- 11:41Speaker 1: He has a gas canister and a shotgun. They ordered
- 11:45Speaker 1: him to put down both. He put down the canister
- 11:48Speaker 1: and then raise the shotgun to a shooting position, and
- 11:52Speaker 1: they neutralized them. As they said, there's another word, they
- 11:55Speaker 1: neutralized them. Yeah, they made him go away.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he was gone. And some of the MAGA supporters
- 12:02Speaker 2: are so angry that it was a white guy that
- 12:06Speaker 2: they're saying his name is Austin Tucker Martin. Nice.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I thought you were going to say they were angry.
- 12:14Speaker 1: They were angry that they accidentally hit the gun. Yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 1: with the shot.
- 12:20Speaker 2: And the president wasn't in town even no, he was
- 12:22Speaker 2: not at mar A Lago this week. You would think
- 12:25Speaker 2: if you're going to go in there and you're going
- 12:27Speaker 2: after the president, you'd figure out is the president? Even
- 12:30Speaker 2: at mar Alago, it's not hard to figure that out.
- 12:32Speaker 2: By the way, you know, when the president uh you
- 12:34Speaker 2: know is going to mar A Lago, what do they
- 12:36Speaker 2: put the king flag up? So they like, yeah at
- 12:40Speaker 2: Buckingham Palace. Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 3: No.
- 12:41Speaker 1: The the the interesting thing is this guy was like,
- 12:46Speaker 1: it may be.
- 12:46Speaker 2: A photographer something who they don't know. It is a
- 12:49Speaker 2: weird story. No, you're right, it's it is a weird story.
- 12:55Speaker 3: To pre check or not to pre check, that is
- 12:58Speaker 3: the question. DHS had announced early yesterday that pre Check,
- 13:04Speaker 3: along with Global Entry, would be shutting down starting at
- 13:08Speaker 3: six am Sunday morning because of shortages caused by the
- 13:14Speaker 3: government shutdown. The partial government shut down, this affecting departiment
- 13:17Speaker 3: Department of Homeland Security. Well, apparently that didn't go so
- 13:20Speaker 3: well because by seven point thirty TSA announced that pre
- 13:24Speaker 3: check would continue.
- 13:25Speaker 2: So, how many of these instances where here's what we're
- 13:28Speaker 2: going to do and then in the afternoon, I know
- 13:31Speaker 2: we're not and they back back, and they back they
- 13:33Speaker 2: go backwards. Next day they change their minds. Several hours
- 13:37Speaker 2: later they changed their minds. The CDC did that, Homeland
- 13:42Speaker 2: Security did that with the ICE Enforcement. I mean, you
- 13:47Speaker 2: really don't now with the terrorists, you just don't know
- 13:50Speaker 2: at this point.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but the reality is I don't know how to
- 13:54Speaker 1: say this, but the government has it run smoothly.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Ever, this is just not like not like this always.
- 14:01Speaker 2: We have to you have to admit changing your mind
- 14:05Speaker 2: by the hour is uh, you know, it's a little
- 14:08Speaker 2: bit more, but you know we have I mean, thank
- 14:11Speaker 2: you that. This is why Neil is here a fervent
- 14:14Speaker 2: MAGA supporter. It takes the other side of whatever shoe
- 14:19Speaker 2: foil than be a cheerleader for either side. Thank you.
- 14:23Speaker 1: All right, snowfall as Bill was talking about in the northeast,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and uh man, people are are stuck at home. The
- 14:33Speaker 1: blizzard warnings, travel bands, all kinds of intensity going on.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So you've got millions of people in New York City,
- 14:40Speaker 1: large swaths of the northeastern US stuck at home because
- 14:45Speaker 1: of these travel band it's crazy blizzard. So the snowfall
- 14:49Speaker 1: rate is two to three inches an out hour from
- 14:53Speaker 1: New York, Massachusetts.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah, this is really bad. This is life threatening. I
- 14:58Speaker 2: mean we're now talking they'll be the people that will
- 15:02Speaker 2: be dying here are going to be in the dozens
- 15:05Speaker 2: because this is the worse than thirty years And this
- 15:08Speaker 2: is just God awful. So you stay at home and
- 15:11Speaker 2: they're telling you over and over again, stay at home,
- 15:13Speaker 2: stay at home, stay at home. Ah, some good news gold.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Forty six years to the day after Team USA beat
- 15:25Speaker 3: the Soviet Union on the miracle on ice, Team USA
- 15:31Speaker 3: beat the Canadians two to one in overtime at the
- 15:33Speaker 3: Olympics to take home the gold first time.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Forty Yeah, a little bit different this time around. Forty
- 15:40Speaker 2: years ago, it was real amateurs, American amateurs going college
- 15:45Speaker 2: players college going after the Russian team that were quote
- 15:49Speaker 2: also amateurs, and that's in quotes. These guys were in
- 15:52Speaker 2: the army and full time they played hockey, but they
- 15:56Speaker 2: were considered they weren't professional hockey players. This time around
- 16:00Speaker 2: is professional hockey players on both sides. And I watched
- 16:04Speaker 2: part of the game, didn't watch it all because I
- 16:06Speaker 2: couldn't bear to watch an entire hockey game. I don't
- 16:08Speaker 2: know how people do that. The Canadians outplayed the Americans.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Canadians played a better game, more shots on goal and
- 16:19Speaker 2: better defense all the way around. And the fact that
- 16:22Speaker 2: the Americans won and I stopped as the game ended,
- 16:26Speaker 2: before I went into overtime. I was watching it and
- 16:28Speaker 2: I said it's you know, the Canadians are going to
- 16:30Speaker 2: do this one, but good for them and the American
- 16:32Speaker 2: The American women won, but they were a superior team
- 16:37Speaker 2: all the way around, and so it's the gold. And
- 16:39Speaker 2: you know, they go for amateur, they go for sportsmanship,
- 16:43Speaker 2: and the countries back them up because all American and
- 16:47Speaker 2: Finland and Norway and Austria does is tell its citizen
- 16:51Speaker 2: how many goals we won. That's it. That's all they
- 16:53Speaker 2: care about. We won fifteen goals, we won three goals.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Nobody loses here because when we next and make Canada
- 17:02Speaker 1: a state, get a great team, then they're gonna they're
- 17:06Speaker 1: going to share in the win.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It's exactly. He's fine.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Oh, come on, you didn't even mention Jack Hughes. Did
- 17:12Speaker 3: you watch the end of the game?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Bill?
- 17:13Speaker 3: No, I did not, So you missed the game winning
- 17:16Speaker 3: goal by Jack Hughes, who got its teeth knocked out
- 17:19Speaker 3: during the game.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and that and that is now going to be
- 17:22Speaker 2: sponsored by the American Dedal Association you watch sponsored by
- 17:28Speaker 2: They're going to be some implant Dennis going to be
- 17:31Speaker 2: using him. They are probably lining up to have him
- 17:35Speaker 2: as a spokesperson once the new teeth come in, Russell
- 17:38Speaker 2: coach the team again, or that's funny, that's funny. I'll
- 17:43Speaker 2: buy that, right, yeah, and I'll hold of that.
- 17:46Speaker 1: The EU, I mean, the EU demands clarity from the US.
- 17:52Speaker 2: They're looking around.
- 17:53Speaker 1: You've got As Handle was saying earlier, Trump wakes up
- 17:57Speaker 1: every morning, flips a coin and then decides thing. Now,
- 18:01Speaker 1: the European Union is in their executive arm here is
- 18:06Speaker 1: wanting what they refer to as full clarity from the
- 18:09Speaker 1: United States. They're saying, hey, you're our trade partner. We
- 18:13Speaker 1: want to know if you're going to fulfill your commitments.
- 18:16Speaker 1: After the US Supreme Court struck down some of President
- 18:19Speaker 1: Donald Trump's most sweeping tariffs, and then Trump comes back
- 18:24Speaker 1: and says, oh, yeah, well, how about a global tariff
- 18:29Speaker 1: of fifteen percent from crazy percent.
- 18:32Speaker 2: This reminds me of when I started practicing law, and
- 18:35Speaker 2: my partner at that time did evictions and I would
- 18:40Speaker 2: fill in for him occasionally, and there would be the
- 18:42Speaker 2: default calendar in the court where people were sued for
- 18:46Speaker 2: not payment a rent. They would never even show up,
- 18:48Speaker 2: and the judge almost automatically granted the judgment. And then
- 18:53Speaker 2: when it came time for attorneys fees because that was
- 18:57Speaker 2: part of the unlawful detainer. And so the judge, this judge,
- 19:02Speaker 2: Old Crotchety judge, I had to figure out what attorney's
- 19:06Speaker 2: fees were. And he looked up at the clock and
- 19:08Speaker 2: if it was one thirty it was one hundred and
- 19:10Speaker 2: thirty dollars. And if it was one thirty five in
- 19:13Speaker 2: the afternoon, he go one hundred and thirty five dollars
- 19:15Speaker 2: attorney's fees. That's Donald Trump. Depending on the kind of day,
- 19:21Speaker 2: least a one thirty okay, thirteen percent for if it's
- 19:25Speaker 2: four o'clock in the afternoon, forty percent tariff. Imagine Paul
- 19:31Speaker 2: He's got with him. Looks unlikely.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Amy, Rob Reiner's kid is in court today. Nick Reiner
- 19:42Speaker 3: could finally enter a plea in charges two murder charges
- 19:49Speaker 3: of killing his parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner. This
- 19:53Speaker 3: follows earlier days in court in which he is old
- 20:00Speaker 3: attorney Alan Jackson quit the case.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Which why do you think he quit the case because
- 20:07Speaker 2: there's no money to pay him. He lived, Nick Reiner
- 20:12Speaker 2: lived on his parents' property. Who in the world of
- 20:17Speaker 2: the Rhiner in showbiz is going to defend him or
- 20:19Speaker 2: give him money? To defend himself. There's nobody, there's no
- 20:21Speaker 2: money there. He's with the public defender, and that's why
- 20:25Speaker 2: the attorney bailed out. He won't say that. He won't
- 20:29Speaker 2: say that. They just said, I have to leave the
- 20:32Speaker 2: case because of conflicts I have with my client. Yeah,
- 20:36Speaker 2: that's usually I ain't getting paid.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he only got I mean only it's a massive
- 20:42Speaker 1: amount of money, but one hundred thousand dollars or so
- 20:45Speaker 1: a year from his parents.
- 20:47Speaker 2: He got some sort of allowance.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Enough to pay a Yeah, this guy saying in his world,
- 20:56Speaker 1: not my world.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Who does you think he is? My daughter's okay?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Moving on, all right, Speaking of court, Gaslaine Glaine Gaslaine Maxwell.
- 21:08Speaker 1: She doesn't want more Epstein documents released. She's saying the
- 21:15Speaker 1: disclosure law is unconstitutionals. These are coming from this is
- 21:19Speaker 1: coming from her lawyers. She's imprisoned, of course, and she's
- 21:24Speaker 1: fighting the request of the release of ninety thousand more
- 21:27Speaker 1: pages relating to Jeffrey Epstein and to her saying the
- 21:33Speaker 1: law that's used to force the public release of these
- 21:37Speaker 1: documents is unconstitutional.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Bill, how about the constitutionality of raping young girls? Well,
- 21:46Speaker 2: we're not talking about that. No, it has to do that.
- 21:51Speaker 2: The documents by the Justice Department, actually by statute, are
- 21:56Speaker 2: subject to secrecy orders like sealing with the court, et cetera.
- 22:01Speaker 2: This was a criminal probe in certain documents could and
- 22:04Speaker 2: should not be released, and so they are. And that's
- 22:07Speaker 2: what she's arguing. But it's not gonna happen. I mean,
- 22:11Speaker 2: she's not gonna get much going.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Okay, clocks tick in with more talks plan that the
- 22:17Speaker 3: US and Iran will apparently hold their next round of
- 22:19Speaker 3: nuclear talks on Thursday in Geneva. This as Iran faces
- 22:26Speaker 3: both the threat of a US military strike and there
- 22:29Speaker 3: have been new protests breaking out at home. Iran's top
- 22:33Speaker 3: diplomat says he expects to meet with US Envoy Steve
- 22:37Speaker 3: Whitcoff and said there is a good chance remaining for
- 22:41Speaker 3: a diplomatic solution on the nuclear issue.
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, there isn't. The United States wants Iran to give
- 22:50Speaker 2: up its nuclear enrichment program. Do you know that when
- 22:57Speaker 2: you're enriching uranium, or when they are enriching uranium, enrichment
- 23:02Speaker 2: of uranium is when you're talking about weapons grade is
- 23:05Speaker 2: in the ninety percent enrichment You need three point seven
- 23:11Speaker 2: percent to create or to use for nuclear peaceful nuclear
- 23:18Speaker 2: use as in nuclear reactor. And they're way up there.
- 23:22Speaker 2: They're very very close. I mean, they probably have enough
- 23:25Speaker 2: to build a couple of bombs anyway, and so they're
- 23:28Speaker 2: not going to give that up. And then the ballistic missiles,
- 23:30Speaker 2: they're not going to give that up. So now the
- 23:33Speaker 2: issue is the president going to attack Iran and god forbid,
- 23:37Speaker 2: American lives are lost even one, it's going to be
- 23:41Speaker 2: a problem if the president goes forward. So this is
- 23:46Speaker 2: really between a rock and a hard place. For sure.
- 23:48Speaker 2: You don't think that could be necessary to Yeah, it
- 23:52Speaker 2: could be. Listen, I'm not arguing that. I don't agree
- 23:57Speaker 2: with attacking Iran, But the other argument, are we going
- 24:01Speaker 2: to get involved in foreign wars? Are we going to
- 24:05Speaker 2: put our troops in danger outside of America? I remember
- 24:09Speaker 2: this was America first. Or he came in with we
- 24:11Speaker 2: don't get involved. So it's going to go the other
- 24:13Speaker 2: way completely. Now, is a nuclear threat by Iran that
- 24:17Speaker 2: much of an international threat? Yeah? I think so, Yeah,
- 24:20Speaker 2: you don't there's any doubt that. I don't think there's
- 24:23Speaker 2: any doubt that Iran would use that bomb. Yeah, you
- 24:25Speaker 2: can't give it to terrorist Genie Back. Yeah, so all
- 24:29Speaker 2: I'm saying is politically this may be dynamite in a
- 24:32Speaker 2: very negative way for the president. So this is closure.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I suppose we talked about the story about the unfortunate
- 24:41Speaker 1: death of the skiers in that California Sierra Nevada avalanche. Well,
- 24:49Speaker 1: bodies of eight victims were found, and then if you
- 24:52Speaker 1: remember last week, we talked about there was still one
- 24:55Speaker 1: that had been missing, presumed dead, and they found that
- 25:00Speaker 1: person who was found relatively close they say to the
- 25:05Speaker 1: other victims. But such a sad story. And I guess
- 25:09Speaker 1: this brings some closure. At least the bodies are not
- 25:11Speaker 1: there on the mountain.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah. And there's another story about that too, Amy. Yeah.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Two more skiers have died in the Lake Tahoe area
- 25:19Speaker 3: than these two happened on Friday. They're saying that they're unrelated,
- 25:25Speaker 3: happened near Heavenly or at Heavenly. The two deaths not connected.
- 25:29Speaker 3: There's no relationship between the two. One was a thirty
- 25:32Speaker 3: three year old he was skiing on an intermediate run,
- 25:35Speaker 3: and another had a medical emergency.
- 25:37Speaker 2: He was fifty eight. Yeah, maybe he hit a tree
- 25:41Speaker 2: or who knows, who knows. People go off the trail,
- 25:44Speaker 2: and I have no idea that that's what happened. But
- 25:46Speaker 2: this was not these that was not an avalanche. Those
- 25:49Speaker 2: were two separate incidents that were not connected to the
- 25:51Speaker 2: avalanche at all. All Right, so more stuff Greenland doesn't
- 25:57Speaker 2: want from the US. President Donald Trump said Saturday that
- 26:02Speaker 2: he's sending a hospital boat to Greenland. Of course, this
- 26:05Speaker 2: is Danish territory that he has been trying to acquire.
- 26:10Speaker 2: But the island says they don't want it. No, thanks,
- 26:15Speaker 2: we don't need it.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Well, nobody understands why he's doing this. They have nationalized
- 26:20Speaker 1: healthcare and good, good healthcare on top of that of
- 26:23Speaker 1: first period we have. I don't either, he says.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah. The prime minister of the greenlandic he has its
- 26:33Speaker 2: own prime minister because it's a semi autonomous said no,
- 26:37Speaker 2: we don't need it, and I guess the administration says, yes,
- 26:40Speaker 2: you do need it. We'll tell you if you need
- 26:42Speaker 2: it or not. No, we don't need it. Okay, I
- 26:48Speaker 2: don't even know what you do with that. There's somebody
- 26:50Speaker 2: this will make any sense. So I don't even understand it.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Is there some triage we're not aware of that. I
- 26:56Speaker 2: need help or I.
- 26:58Speaker 3: You know, he got me on that one making an
- 27:00Speaker 3: announcement to say, oh, they need our help. We you know,
- 27:04Speaker 3: we're going to come rescue Greenland. And that from what
- 27:08Speaker 3: I don't know, but to like painted as a failing state.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Well they already said it's a failing state and it
- 27:15Speaker 2: should be party. I think Trump said that it is
- 27:17Speaker 2: a failing state, if memory serves, and he to reinforce that,
- 27:23Speaker 2: I don't know, but he's gone. Notice that we don't
- 27:25Speaker 2: have any language anymore of we want Greenland, we deserve Greenland,
- 27:29Speaker 2: we need Greenland for our national security. We have to
- 27:33Speaker 2: own Greenland. All that language that was used, that's all disappeared.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Have you noticed that, Well for all gone all gone.
- 27:41Speaker 2: You know, hey, dude, Greenland's just not that into you. Right, Yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 2: that's true. I think let's do one more.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Shut her down. New York City Mayor's around Mom Donnie
- 27:55Speaker 3: has banned travel across New York because of the what
- 28:00Speaker 3: has been called an historic blizzard hitting the region. He
- 28:03Speaker 3: also canceled classes for public schools and did not require
- 28:08Speaker 3: remote learning. So apparently he took a lot of heat
- 28:12Speaker 3: during the last big storm that kind of buried New
- 28:14Speaker 3: York city because he said, oh, you can stay at home,
- 28:16Speaker 3: but you have to do remote learning, and people weren't
- 28:20Speaker 3: very happy about that.
- 28:21Speaker 2: But it also I think underscores the seriousness of this storm.
- 28:26Speaker 2: We've been talking about this. This is really, really bad.
- 28:29Speaker 2: And he said, stay the hell off the streets, particularly
- 28:33Speaker 2: the newly named Marx Carl Marx Square, which is right
- 28:38Speaker 2: next to Times Square.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Okay, why why you want this last one about Trump?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Your buddy? No, no, no, no, we're not. Are you full?
- 28:50Speaker 2: All right, go ahead, we'll do it. All right, we'll
- 28:52Speaker 2: do some Trump news. But this is not necessarily a
- 28:54Speaker 2: on Trump.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Of debanking before, which is why I was fascinating. This
- 28:58Speaker 1: is the lawsuit that Trump has again JP Morgan Chase saying, uh,
- 29:04Speaker 1: he's suing them for five billion dollars, alleging that his
- 29:06Speaker 1: accounts were closed for political reasons.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Well, you debanked before, I have been debanked. They can
- 29:13Speaker 2: dbank you. I mean, it's banks can do that. And
- 29:18Speaker 2: this one is they they didn't admit they would do
- 29:20Speaker 2: that until now Trump was right they debate, they debanked him,
- 29:24Speaker 2: they did after January sixth. That illegal for political reasons? Well,
- 29:28Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think a bank can toss
- 29:30Speaker 2: you out for any reason. Bank. I get this question
- 29:34Speaker 2: on handling the lall all the time. My bank doesn't
- 29:37Speaker 2: want to do business with him anymore. Okay, go to
- 29:39Speaker 2: another bank.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Why what is a creed? Can't your political beliefs be
- 29:45Speaker 1: your creed and you're not? How is how are your
- 29:48Speaker 1: political beliefs not protected by because.
- 29:51Speaker 2: They are but private? But I can stick. I can
- 29:53Speaker 2: say I don't agree with your political beliefs. I don't
- 29:56Speaker 2: want to serve you anymore. I don't want to sell
- 29:58Speaker 2: you anything anymore. I don't want to represent you anymore.
- 30:02Speaker 2: You don't have a fundamental right to go to a
- 30:04Speaker 2: bank and have banking done gay. Now there is detrimental reliance.
- 30:08Speaker 2: There is an issue where I was banking with you,
- 30:11Speaker 2: and based on that banking relationship, I did a B
- 30:14Speaker 2: and C and D and you violated that and there's
- 30:17Speaker 2: a lawsuit.
- 30:18Speaker 3: There doesn't this what about the bake that whole bakery thing,
- 30:22Speaker 3: like Neil just said, with the with the gay couple
- 30:24Speaker 3: that they refuse service, you're saying it's okay to refuse
- 30:27Speaker 3: service to.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Anybody other than detrimental reliance. Yes, for religious reasons. You
- 30:33Speaker 2: can say no, Okay, you can say, no, that's a
- 30:36Speaker 2: private it's private concern consequences. Yeah, but what can happen is,
- 30:41Speaker 2: let's say you have a gay wedding where you took
- 30:44Speaker 2: the order and a day before the wedding, the bakery
- 30:47Speaker 2: says we're not producing the cake. Now there's a lawsuit
- 30:51Speaker 2: there because the reliance was on that. And I think
- 30:54Speaker 2: that's where the lawsuit's going to be. With President Trump,
- 30:57Speaker 2: I do not believe him just arguing I had the
- 31:00Speaker 2: right to be a banking customer and you couldn't kick
- 31:03Speaker 2: me off. I don't think that would fly. Okay, we're
- 31:06Speaker 2: done with that. This is KFI AM six point. You've
- 31:10Speaker 2: been listening to the Bill Handle Show. Catch My Show
