- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more Mark Simone on seven ten r.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hey. Luckily it's Friday already, first week of twenty twenty six,
- 0:15Speaker 2: done and lots to get to. This hour, we'll get
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Bruce Blakeman. He should be the next governor. We'll
- 0:22Speaker 2: talk to him coming up later this hour. Kathy Hochel
- 0:25Speaker 2: will look like she will head to the left, far
- 0:29Speaker 2: to the left, trying to get the nomination. She's closing
- 0:32Speaker 2: up to Mom Donnie. She's somehow decided that to win,
- 0:37Speaker 2: she's got to be over there with Mom Donnie, get
- 0:40Speaker 2: his support his voters, which might be fine in New
- 0:43Speaker 2: York City, but I don't know, you've got a lot
- 0:45Speaker 2: of them up state. Remember, Bruce Blakeman just won a
- 0:47Speaker 2: big election in Nassau County second time, and if you
- 0:51Speaker 2: look at the makeup of Nassau County, it's very similar
- 0:54Speaker 2: to the makeup of New York State. Demographics, party, all
- 0:58Speaker 2: that sort of stuff. So excellent shot. He's far more
- 1:01Speaker 2: qualified to be governor than Kathy Hochalist. So we'll talk
- 1:06Speaker 2: to him later this hour. By the way, he gets
- 1:08Speaker 2: inaugurated for the second term on Monday, big inauguration ceremony.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Mom Donnie, of course just being Mom Donnie. He's doing
- 1:17Speaker 2: lots of interviews. I don't know if he does any work.
- 1:19Speaker 2: There's no sign of him actually doing anything as mayor.
- 1:22Speaker 2: The good news about Mom Donnie. People have said, I
- 1:26Speaker 2: don't want to say who, but they've said a couple
- 1:29Speaker 2: of things. One, he doesn't really do anything. It's all talk.
- 1:33Speaker 2: He just gets out there and he talks, and he
- 1:34Speaker 2: talks a mile a minute, and he does one interview
- 1:36Speaker 2: after another, and it's a pointing people, and they talk
- 1:39Speaker 2: and he talks and they talk, but nobody ever actually
- 1:41Speaker 2: does anything. The other thing is people say they believe
- 1:45Speaker 2: he's not a very courageous person. He's basically a kind
- 1:49Speaker 2: of a coward. So these big, big controversial things he's proposing,
- 1:54Speaker 2: he may never actually pull the trigger on and may
- 1:56Speaker 2: never actually do any of them, but he does love
- 1:59Speaker 2: to I never saw I do so many interviews. Yesterday
- 2:03Speaker 2: he's talking a good morning, good day in New York,
- 2:06Speaker 2: Hello Schenectany. He's talking to New York, anywhere and everywhere,
- 2:11Speaker 2: talking about anything and everything.
- 2:12Speaker 1: For too many years, the relationship between Albany and City
- 2:16Speaker 1: Hall has been defined by dysfunction and discourse, by feuds,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and by factionalism, petty grievances have interfered with the work
- 2:25Speaker 1: of serving the people.
- 2:27Speaker 2: But again it's just talk. You just get up there
- 2:29Speaker 2: and you're talking. For too many years. You talk like this,
- 2:32Speaker 2: and you sound like you're making some important point and
- 2:34Speaker 2: nobody's listening, and meantime you're getting nothing done. And then
- 2:38Speaker 2: of course there's all his left wing stuff.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Obviously that's not an opinion that I share.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And oh, Alby, you know what this is. This is
- 2:44Speaker 2: he appointed this woman to run housing, real left wing cook.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Now you just have to accept this. Mondani is basically
- 2:52Speaker 2: the third term of Deblasio, and it's the same as Deblasi.
- 2:56Speaker 2: You point a bunch of left wing cooks who just
- 2:59Speaker 2: say left wing cookie things, and everybody looks at their
- 3:01Speaker 2: Twitter from three years ago and they can't believe the
- 3:03Speaker 2: things that they said. And this woman he appointed to
- 3:06Speaker 2: run housing. You go back and look at her Twitter.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I think she took it down a couple of days ago,
- 3:11Speaker 2: but when people looked at her Twitter from two years ago,
- 3:13Speaker 2: three years ago, she's tweeting all kinds of nonsense. She said,
- 3:16Speaker 2: owning a home is white supremacy. Nobody should be allowed
- 3:20Speaker 2: to have private property. I mean, all this Unamerican nonsense,
- 3:24Speaker 2: crazy stuff. So Mom Donnie was asked about her.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Obviously, that's not an opinion that I share. And I
- 3:29Speaker 3: made the decision to have her as our executive director
- 3:31Speaker 3: of the Mayor's Office to protect tenants, not because of
- 3:34Speaker 3: her comments, but because of her work. She is someone
- 3:36Speaker 3: who has won significant victories for tenants, not just in
- 3:39Speaker 3: New York City, but across the entirety of the state
- 3:41Speaker 3: formative part of what was an upstate downstate coalition, and
- 3:45Speaker 3: we've seen her already hard at work in this past week.
- 3:47Speaker 3: She's someone who has been a core part of our
- 3:50Speaker 3: efforts to coordinate rental ripoff hearings across the city, as
- 3:53Speaker 3: well as informing tenants of their rights in a city
- 3:55Speaker 3: where oftentimes they're not made aware of them.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all you got to do, is if you
- 4:01Speaker 2: want to be a Mom Donney type of Mary, you
- 4:02Speaker 2: just talk very fast and you sound like you know
- 4:03Speaker 2: what you're talking about, and you says say things like
- 4:05Speaker 2: she has made incredible strides and she's done she's gotten
- 4:08Speaker 2: so much accomplished with housing. Well, if that were true,
- 4:12Speaker 2: you wouldn't have a housing problem. You just ran saying
- 4:14Speaker 2: it's all out of control and terrible. So what strides
- 4:16Speaker 2: did she make? But you ask Mom, Donnie. He can
- 4:19Speaker 2: talk for an hour on any subject, two hours if
- 4:22Speaker 2: he happens to know something about it. But here he
- 4:24Speaker 2: is on Venezuela. He called the President.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Well, I wanted to make clear to the President directly
- 4:29Speaker 3: that these were the thoughts that I had, and they
- 4:30Speaker 3: were also the thoughts that I was about to share
- 4:32Speaker 3: with the world. And this is not just an action
- 4:35Speaker 3: taken by a federal administration abroad. It's also an action
- 4:38Speaker 3: that then implicates New York City because right now, Nicholas
- 4:40Speaker 3: mother Roa is here in New York City, and my
- 4:42Speaker 3: job as the Mayor of New York City is to
- 4:44Speaker 3: ensure that any federal action has a limited impact, if any,
- 4:47Speaker 3: on the day to day lives of New Yorker.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You really don't. I'm looking at the window right now
- 4:52Speaker 2: in mid towm Manhattan, and all these people walking around,
- 4:54Speaker 2: they don't seem to be worried about Maduro. Here's in
- 4:57Speaker 2: New York. He's actually in Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Detentions.
- 5:00Speaker 2: He's in federal custody, in the federal system. Again, I'm
- 5:03Speaker 2: looking at everybody else. There's a million people walking around
- 5:06Speaker 2: out there. They don't seem concerned about it. They don't
- 5:10Speaker 2: seem to be worrying about it. Now, here's the good
- 5:12Speaker 2: news about this whole mom, Donnie mess. The city council
- 5:16Speaker 2: speaker's in charge of the city council really has a
- 5:20Speaker 2: lot of power, at least as much as the mayor.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And some would argue the city council speaker has more
- 5:25Speaker 2: power than the mayor. Well, with the crazy left wing,
- 5:29Speaker 2: kooky mayor, and of course you got a lot of
- 5:32Speaker 2: crazy left wing cooks on the city council. Somehow they
- 5:34Speaker 2: just elected a normal, moderate, common sense woman. Her name
- 5:40Speaker 2: is Menon. She is the new city council speaker. She's
- 5:44Speaker 2: not a left wing cook, very normal, very sane, very rational.
- 5:47Speaker 2: And again, the city council has at least as much
- 5:51Speaker 2: power as the mayor. Some would argue more. But here
- 5:53Speaker 2: she is. We obviously now she's also Jewish. With the
- 5:57Speaker 2: anti Semitic mayor, you've got a Jewish city council speaker
- 6:00Speaker 2: who will do everything to protect the Jewish community.
- 6:03Speaker 4: We obviously need to protect the First Amendment right to
- 6:06Speaker 4: peacefully protest. That is SACRISANCT. But what we cannot have
- 6:11Speaker 4: is a situation which we've had in New York and
- 6:13Speaker 4: we saw it at Parky Synagogue where people were trying
- 6:16Speaker 4: to worship that evening and they felt intimidated and harassed.
- 6:20Speaker 4: We are going to be doing legislation to create safe
- 6:23Speaker 4: perimeters around all houses of worship and around schools so
- 6:27Speaker 4: that yes, of course people can peacefully protest, that's sacrisanc.
- 6:30Speaker 4: But what you cannot do is intimidate and harass people
- 6:34Speaker 4: as they're trying to go to school, go to their
- 6:36Speaker 4: house of worship. So we're really going to be aggressive
- 6:38Speaker 4: about that.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah. So in a way, things might be better right
- 6:43Speaker 2: now than with the Blasi because with the Blasio you
- 6:45Speaker 2: had a left wing kookie mayor and you had a
- 6:47Speaker 2: left wing kookie city council speaker. But now yea half
- 6:51Speaker 2: of the half of the duo is saying rational and
- 6:55Speaker 2: somebody alike men, and is the new city council speaker. Now,
- 7:01Speaker 2: as I say, Mom, Donnie's like the third term of Deblasio.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And one thing about the Blasio, it was bad, but
- 7:06Speaker 2: we got through it just fine. It wasn't survivable like
- 7:11Speaker 2: Deblasio and de Blasi was the same way, kind of lazy,
- 7:14Speaker 2: didn't really do anything, loved to talk a lot, was
- 7:17Speaker 2: greatest speeches. Oh remember to Blasio never came to work.
- 7:21Speaker 2: He would wake up and go to Brooklyn to that
- 7:24Speaker 2: Jimmy like. He'd be in that gym for a couple hours.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Then there was a little cafe coffee shop. He'd go
- 7:29Speaker 2: in there for a couple hours. He would show up
- 7:31Speaker 2: at city Hall about four o'clock, take a nap for
- 7:34Speaker 2: half an hour, and then leave and that was about it.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Mom Donnie likes to be at city Hall, and he
- 7:38Speaker 2: loves doing interviews, and he talks real fast and just
- 7:41Speaker 2: keeps answering that you can ask him anything. And then
- 7:43Speaker 2: they come up with these ideas. The one thing about
- 7:46Speaker 2: these left wing types, these mom Donnie, they've got a
- 7:50Speaker 2: million ideas from a program for the homeless, they got
- 7:53Speaker 2: a program for this, they got pre K, they got daycare,
- 7:56Speaker 2: all these ideas, nothing ever really happens. They just talk
- 7:59Speaker 2: about it. The universe pre k.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Not only when we make pre K truly universal, but
- 8:05Speaker 1: expand this care to include all two and three year
- 8:09Speaker 1: olds across the city. As the governor said, we will
- 8:16Speaker 1: deliver two care by working in partnership with childcare providers,
- 8:20Speaker 1: especially home based providers.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, they're cheering and cheering, love that universal pre K,
- 8:28Speaker 2: not just pre K, universal pre K, and they get
- 8:32Speaker 2: all excited. And then just like in Minnesota, whenever they
- 8:35Speaker 2: do this stuff, these left wing Democrat programs a couple
- 8:39Speaker 2: of years ago is by an Alviso billions missing, billions
- 8:42Speaker 2: of dollars missing in pre k. Remember the the Blasio
- 8:45Speaker 2: Thrive NYC to help the homeless. A billion dollars went missing.
- 8:50Speaker 2: And of course the media is a Democrat. They never
- 8:52Speaker 2: looked to see what happened to it. Yeah, it's Minnesota.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That's why they're going crazy. Another reason they're going crazy
- 8:56Speaker 2: over this shooting. It gets that Sama childcare, daycare, eighteen
- 9:02Speaker 2: billion missing, gets it out of the headlines, gets it
- 9:04Speaker 2: out of the news. Everybody forgets about it for a minute.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Luigi Manngioni going to court today, the big day in court.
- 9:12Speaker 2: There'll be a big fight, and his attorney's well, the
- 9:14Speaker 2: first thing you're trying to do is get the death
- 9:16Speaker 2: penalty off the table. That's the one thing.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Now.
- 9:21Speaker 2: The other thing is they think they can get some
- 9:22Speaker 2: of the evidence tossed out that got him arrested, although
- 9:26Speaker 2: I doubt that. Now here's the problem. A lot of
- 9:28Speaker 2: these experts that hunt for fugitive say, this kid was
- 9:32Speaker 2: really stupid about a lot of things. You know, it
- 9:36Speaker 2: was right out there, look out the window, right across
- 9:39Speaker 2: the street. Right there, that's where he shot the guy,
- 9:40Speaker 2: right across the street, the New York Kilton. It's on
- 9:43Speaker 2: the corner where the New York Kilton is. And we're
- 9:47Speaker 2: iHeart right here across the street. But you know, on
- 9:49Speaker 2: that corner in Manhattan, there's a surveillance camera everywhere, every inch.
- 9:54Speaker 2: It's true of all of Manhattan, all the New York City.
- 9:56Speaker 2: They got surveillance cameras everywhere. So if you shoot it
- 10:00Speaker 2: on that corner, there's going to be video of you
- 10:02Speaker 2: from every angle shooting the guy. So they got him there.
- 10:06Speaker 2: The other thing is if you're fugitive and you're on
- 10:08Speaker 2: the lamb, if you're like a David Jansen fugitive, if
- 10:11Speaker 2: you're a Harrison Ford fugitive fleeing and you're in these
- 10:15Speaker 2: little small towns, you're supposed to go into these little
- 10:19Speaker 2: mom and pop places. If you got to get some food,
- 10:22Speaker 2: you're not supposed to go into McDonald's and he made
- 10:26Speaker 2: a huge mistake. He wasn't thinking. You know, if you
- 10:28Speaker 2: go into a McDonald's, this is a big national chain.
- 10:33Speaker 2: You know, you can go to any McDonald's anywhere in America.
- 10:35Speaker 2: They all look the same. And one thing they put
- 10:37Speaker 2: in all the McDonald's is extremely tight surveillance. They've got
- 10:41Speaker 2: cameras everywhere, every angle, so you can it's easy to
- 10:47Speaker 2: be on surveillance cameras if you're in McDonald's. You go
- 10:49Speaker 2: into a little mom and pop general store, they're probably
- 10:52Speaker 2: not so sophisticated tech wise. But he went into McDonald's
- 10:56Speaker 2: where there was a ton of surveillance cameras on him,
- 10:59Speaker 2: and you know, he's using a credit card every so
- 11:02Speaker 2: it just did make sense. It was easy to catch him.
- 11:04Speaker 2: The locals caught him. The people in McDonald's thought he
- 11:07Speaker 2: looked like the shooter, you know, with that one big
- 11:11Speaker 2: unibrow eyebrow, and the he's kind of a distinctive looking guy.
- 11:15Speaker 2: So they called the police. The police came arrested him.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So they're trying to get that tossed out and that
- 11:20Speaker 2: somehow he was illegally arrested, or that he had the
- 11:23Speaker 2: wrong evidence. I don't know what they're going to argue,
- 11:25Speaker 2: but they're gonna try. Hey, by the way, the vice
- 11:31Speaker 2: president of great press conference yesterday, Vice President Vance. But
- 11:34Speaker 2: they've also announced, you got this Somali fraud, and it
- 11:37Speaker 2: looks like it's going to be even worse in California,
- 11:40Speaker 2: even worse in Illinois. So they've announced the Department of
- 11:44Speaker 2: Justice is creating a whole new Assistant Attorney General whose
- 11:48Speaker 2: only focus will be on this fraud. Start with Minnesota,
- 11:53Speaker 2: go after them, then go to California, then go to
- 11:56Speaker 2: these other states. So he'll be one attorney general assistant
- 11:59Speaker 2: Attorney General, just focused on this fraud, on doing something
- 12:04Speaker 2: about it and try to stop it. And by the way,
- 12:07Speaker 2: we would, Mam Donnie. You know, he went after Trump
- 12:09Speaker 2: like crazy on Venezuela, attacked him Trump was asked about it.
- 12:14Speaker 2: He's done a lot of interviews. So he did a
- 12:16Speaker 2: great hour on Hannity last night. You'll probably hear it
- 12:18Speaker 2: on the Hannity Radio show today here on wor he
- 12:22Speaker 2: did a New York Times. I don't know why he
- 12:24Speaker 2: does this The New York Times. These people hate his guts,
- 12:27Speaker 2: but he brought him into the Oval Office game a
- 12:29Speaker 2: couple hours of his time. But they said, what about
- 12:32Speaker 2: Mam Donnie attacking you like crazy on Venezuela? And he
- 12:36Speaker 2: actually said, you know, the guy was here. We got
- 12:38Speaker 2: along great. I was really nice to him. And Trump says, quote,
- 12:41Speaker 2: he's got a great personality. He's a nice guy. His
- 12:45Speaker 2: policies are not good, but who knows, maybe he changes.
- 12:49Speaker 2: But he said the way he attacked me, I thought
- 12:51Speaker 2: the guy would wait at least three or four weeks
- 12:53Speaker 2: before going after me. We just had a great time together.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I thought it would take him a few weeks before
- 12:59Speaker 2: he goes. But nope, he didn't wait at all, went
- 13:01Speaker 2: right after him. Now you know who Jamie Diamond is.
- 13:05Speaker 2: He's the chairman of JP Morgan Chase. He's considered the
- 13:09Speaker 2: best CEO in America, top CEO. He's the greatest CEO
- 13:15Speaker 2: obviously in banking. Guess what he made last year? What
- 13:21Speaker 2: would you pay a guy like that? They had a
- 13:22Speaker 2: great year JP Morgan Chase. What do you think they'd
- 13:24Speaker 2: pay him? Well, last year he made seven one hundred
- 13:27Speaker 2: and seventy million dollars. Seven one hundred and seventy million dollars. Nah,
- 13:33Speaker 2: that sounds like a lot, but hey, after taxes, it's
- 13:35Speaker 2: only five hundred million. So now, actually there's a big
- 13:38Speaker 2: asterisk on this. They didn't pay him that He made
- 13:42Speaker 2: about I think twenty five million in salary, which is
- 13:44Speaker 2: normal for a big CEO of a major corporation. You know,
- 13:48Speaker 2: if they trust you with a eight hundred billion dollar
- 13:50Speaker 2: company and you've got to run it, that's what you
- 13:52Speaker 2: get paid. And most of this money was he had
- 13:57Speaker 2: stock options. You know, if you really want to be fair,
- 14:01Speaker 2: pay the guy with stock options. That way, if he
- 14:03Speaker 2: makes the stock go up, he makes money. If he
- 14:06Speaker 2: screws up and the stock goes down, he loses money. Well,
- 14:10Speaker 2: JP Morgan Chase had the greatest year ever. I think
- 14:12Speaker 2: they were the biggest stock in America, up thirty four
- 14:17Speaker 2: percent for the year, major stock up thirty four percent
- 14:21Speaker 2: for the year. So that's how he made that money. Now,
- 14:23Speaker 2: what would that mean JP Morgan Chase going up thirty
- 14:26Speaker 2: four percent? I don't know. I mean, I don't have
- 14:29Speaker 2: the numbers in front of me. But let's say that
- 14:31Speaker 2: means an extra three hundred billion. So if you made
- 14:35Speaker 2: somebody three hundred billion, hey, I guess you could get
- 14:37Speaker 2: paid seven hundred and seventy million. So I know you're
- 14:42Speaker 2: supposed to get mad at him. You know, in California
- 14:44Speaker 2: they hate these people. They in fact, they want to
- 14:46Speaker 2: have a five percent tax on all these billionaires, a
- 14:51Speaker 2: one time In other words, they would take five percent
- 14:54Speaker 2: of their money, not their income, all the money they
- 14:57Speaker 2: have in the bank, everything. Just see he's five percent
- 15:00Speaker 2: of it, a one time tax, five percent. They're trying
- 15:03Speaker 2: to get this passed. Now. Some billionaires have already left.
- 15:09Speaker 2: About six billionaires, major figures, Peter Thiel, others have moved
- 15:14Speaker 2: out of the state. They've left because they don't want
- 15:17Speaker 2: to pay Let's say you got twenty billion your tax,
- 15:23Speaker 2: there would be one billion. You'd have to hand over
- 15:27Speaker 2: write a check for one billion. So they're rather than
- 15:29Speaker 2: pay it, they're leaving. Six of them. There's a couple
- 15:32Speaker 2: of is staying. The Navidia chairman said he has no
- 15:34Speaker 2: plans to leave the big another billionaires, a real estate guy, Sobrato.
- 15:40Speaker 2: He's staying put. But he said he doesn't expect this,
- 15:42Speaker 2: but this thing to pass. He doesn't think it'll pass. Hey, Now,
- 15:45Speaker 2: the other thing is if you leave, like all these
- 15:47Speaker 2: guys just left right now, they're going to pay this,
- 15:50Speaker 2: they're saying. When they pass this tax. It'll be retroactive.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Even if you left, you still have to pay it. However,
- 15:57Speaker 2: good luck trying to collect that if the person is gone.
- 16:00Speaker 2: We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one
- 16:03Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:07Speaker 2: one zero seven ten
