- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:12Speaker 2: This week on your gabl gavel.
- 0:13Speaker 3: If you ran an Airbnb for a weekend and you
- 0:15Speaker 3: don't get your deposit back, how bad did you trash
- 0:18Speaker 3: that beach house?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Judge Ross here tell us.
- 0:20Speaker 1: And if your sugar baby's getting mad at you, can
- 0:23Speaker 1: you ask for your money back when they key your car?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Jackie Glass tells us. For real people, Hey, Justice, this is
- 0:36Speaker 1: it's casual court today, casual court court. We don't have
- 0:39Speaker 1: a rose on casual Court.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Happy spring, Happy spring, or whenever you're listening to this
- 0:44Speaker 3: an every year you're listening, I.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Don't know, we don't care.
- 0:46Speaker 3: We don't know, we don't care, we do care, we
- 0:49Speaker 3: don't know. Though we don't know. We don't want to
- 0:51Speaker 3: put you in a box. You could be listening to
- 0:52Speaker 3: this in the dead of winter. But for us, we
- 0:54Speaker 3: took a casual Friday today. That's what we did.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Hey Jeremy, Merry Christmas, pud, Merry Christmas chair. Uh who
- 1:01Speaker 1: where did you go? I went to Judge Ross, I
- 1:04Speaker 1: love that's right, And I went with a new Jackie Glass.
- 1:08Speaker 1: She's old.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Sounds like a stand.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Up Jackie Swift. Justice with j Justice honestly, isn't that fast? Yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 1: mine's real quick. You might go ahead and that lead
- 1:18Speaker 1: off here love that Ryan Russo is suing Kimberly Philip
- 1:24Speaker 1: for thirteen hundred dollars what uh for a return of
- 1:29Speaker 1: a deposits that he did not get after renting her
- 1:31Speaker 1: beach house for a weekend. Now he is a tall,
- 1:35Speaker 1: bald dude with glasses who looks like he's an accountant.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Like it looks like he would just be and Judge
- 1:41Speaker 1: Ross is like, you know, obviously justice foreign concept. Blah
- 1:44Speaker 1: blah blah. Judge Ross is like, tell me, I don't
- 1:48Speaker 1: want any listen. He's like, essentially, I'm here because Kimberly
- 1:53Speaker 1: stole from me. All right, well, all right, good reason
- 1:55Speaker 1: to be there. Calm it down.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I rented from Kimberly. It was a beach house for
- 1:59Speaker 3: a week with my friend's great location. Kimberly is like,
- 2:03Speaker 3: I didn't steal from him, mister Russo. Here he damaged
- 2:06Speaker 3: to TV. He left garbage bags just piled up outside
- 2:10Speaker 3: the front door. Uh, he left food in the fridge,
- 2:13Speaker 3: there was an oil stain in the driveway, and he
- 2:15Speaker 3: was only there for three days. Uh, I didn't steal
- 2:19Speaker 3: from him, like he did not follow the agreement and dropped.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Ross's like, well, what was the agreement? It was fifteen
- 2:25Speaker 3: hundred dollars for three days, okay, plus a fifteen hundred
- 2:28Speaker 3: dollars deposit. Okay, okay, so three thousand out the door.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Ross is like, all h three thousand dollars for a
- 2:35Speaker 3: week into the beach. Things are getting out of you know, Ross.
- 2:37Speaker 3: He thinks he lives, you know, forty years ago and
- 2:40Speaker 3: uh and he and she's like, well did you Ross,
- 2:43Speaker 3: did you return any of the deposit?
- 2:44Speaker 1: And she's like no, I didn't.
- 2:46Speaker 3: He's like why not. He's like, well, the TV was unusable.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I have a picture of the TV. Hands the TV
- 2:50Speaker 3: to Ross.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It's broken, like it's class shattered broken, okay, not great.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Ross is like, do you, mister Russo, do you disagree
- 2:59Speaker 1: that you broke the He's like no, I don't.
- 3:01Speaker 3: We broke the TV. And he's like, well, why are
- 3:03Speaker 3: we here? Just the point of the deposits, why are
- 3:05Speaker 3: we here? And he goes, well, first of all, I
- 3:08Speaker 3: had some friends over. The TV was damaged by accident,
- 3:11Speaker 3: and the TV's eight to ten years old. I'm not
- 3:14Speaker 3: asking for fifteen hundred dollars. I priced those TVs out there.
- 3:18Speaker 3: It's two hundred dollars, is kind your honor? I'm willing
- 3:22Speaker 3: to not take the two hundred dollars, which I think
- 3:25Speaker 3: is more than the TV's worth. It's eight to ten
- 3:27Speaker 3: years old at least. I only want thirteen hundred dollars.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I admit the TV's my fault. So the TV's the
- 3:32Speaker 3: only problem that's in his in his mind. Everything else
- 3:37Speaker 3: like I don't know about the oil, saying, yeah, we
- 3:38Speaker 3: left trash out the door. We didn't know where to
- 3:40Speaker 3: put it. The TV was the issue. I want thirteen hundred,
- 3:45Speaker 3: not fifteen hundred. It's because of the TV. And he's like,
- 3:50Speaker 3: miss gonna remember the last time was the was the
- 3:52Speaker 3: TV that old? And she was like, yeah, the TV
- 3:54Speaker 3: was that old And he's like okay, so what's the
- 3:57Speaker 3: why didn't you like he's willing to pay for the TV.
- 4:00Speaker 3: She's like, well, I wanted a brand new one. And
- 4:01Speaker 3: he goes, how much do you think is fair for
- 4:04Speaker 3: the TV? And she goes two hundred dollars and he's like, okay, great,
- 4:09Speaker 3: why are we here? Why are we here?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Then?
- 4:11Speaker 3: If we're all in agreement there, why are we here.
- 4:14Speaker 3: She's like, well, I have a notary signed document from
- 4:17Speaker 3: the neighbor who is there and very upset about the
- 4:19Speaker 3: noise coming from the house in all hours of the night.
- 4:21Speaker 3: They clearly weren't taking care of the house. Ross is like,
- 4:24Speaker 3: you did decide to rent your property?
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:27Speaker 3: She's like, yes, yes I did. He's like, okay, so
- 4:30Speaker 3: even with a notary, doesn't the neighbor just have to
- 4:33Speaker 3: get over it. Are there any noise rules? She's like,
- 4:35Speaker 3: there's not any noise rules. He's like, tell me about
- 4:37Speaker 3: the trash outside the front door and food in the fridge, Like,
- 4:40Speaker 3: what's the deal there. She's like, well, there's clear instructions
- 4:42Speaker 3: about trash and food. He goes, all right, what's the
- 4:45Speaker 3: value of that to you?
- 4:46Speaker 1: What is it?
- 4:47Speaker 3: She's like fifty dollars. He's like, being very generous this
- 4:52Speaker 3: morning for someone that didn't give any of the deposit back.
- 4:55Speaker 2: She's like.
- 4:57Speaker 3: He's like, She's like, well, I had to call a
- 4:58Speaker 3: cleaning service, he said, But you have to do that regardless, right,
- 5:01Speaker 3: You have to call it cleaning service no matter what,
- 5:03Speaker 3: because you're gonna rind it to somebody else. Somebody just
- 5:06Speaker 3: stayed in there. You didn't call it cleaning service just
- 5:08Speaker 3: because of this. She goes, no, I did not. They
- 5:11Speaker 3: they they They're gonna come regardless. Ross is getting like
- 5:15Speaker 3: visibly like what what are we doing here? So this
- 5:19Speaker 3: woman for how long has been refusing to give this guy?
- 5:21Speaker 1: I don't know, as long as it's taken to get
- 5:23Speaker 1: to court, I guess right, And and her reasoning was
- 5:27Speaker 1: broken TV trash and oil stink, oilstak. Yeah we get
- 5:31Speaker 1: to the ostack, Yeah, great, he goes, So the old
- 5:34Speaker 1: sting wasn't there beforehand?
- 5:35Speaker 2: She's like no, and the other guy's like, Ryan's like,
- 5:38Speaker 2: yeah it was.
- 5:39Speaker 3: There's the oil stack's in the drive clearly one of
- 5:42Speaker 3: the cars they parked was rusted in oil, which is
- 5:44Speaker 3: I mean again, I get it if you care about
- 5:46Speaker 3: keeping your drive you and I are big on keeping
- 5:48Speaker 3: our driveways clean, you know.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Stress.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Uh So he's just Ross is kind of over it.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I've never seen him over before. He goes, how much
- 5:54Speaker 3: for the oil sting? How much do you want for
- 5:56Speaker 3: the oil stain? And Kimberly's like one hundred dollars and
- 6:00Speaker 3: He's like, what you're saying doesn't add up to fifteen hundred,
- 6:04Speaker 3: Like you can imagine and be like what you're saying
- 6:06Speaker 3: doesn't have fifteen hundred, Like what, like, what is the
- 6:11Speaker 3: deal here? And she's like, we're currently up to three fifty.
- 6:14Speaker 3: She's like, well, I had to take my friends to
- 6:17Speaker 3: the notary drive, my friend had to pay for the
- 6:20Speaker 3: notary and the travel involved. And he just didn't live
- 6:24Speaker 3: up to his end of the engagement. He didn't do
- 6:27Speaker 3: the things he agreed that he was giving the security
- 6:30Speaker 3: deposits to agree to the terms of how you keep
- 6:35Speaker 3: the house.
- 6:35Speaker 2: He didn't do it.
- 6:37Speaker 3: He didn't agree to the terms. He doesn't get his
- 6:38Speaker 3: deposit back. That's how that works, is what she is saying.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Ross is ready to rule.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Well, I don't really know exactly how it works. Would
- 6:48Speaker 1: like Airbnb.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Fascinating because you get to Airbnb's and there's a notebook,
- 6:52Speaker 3: there's a note they're always in plastic, and there's so
- 6:54Speaker 3: many rules.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yes, I do. I know how safety deposits work with rentals,
- 6:59Speaker 1: like long terms, I've dealt with those, of course, short term.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I don't really know the rules. I imagine that put
- 7:04Speaker 1: a deposit down for an Airbnb. No, I haven't either,
- 7:07Speaker 1: So I'm not really all that sure. But my gut
- 7:09Speaker 1: tells me that it doesn't really matter to Ross. Ross
- 7:12Speaker 1: is going to give Uh, he's asking for thirteen hundred.
- 7:16Speaker 1: He's asking for thirteen hundreds. So i've minus three point
- 7:19Speaker 1: fifty on that. What is that nine to fifteen fifty?
- 7:22Speaker 1: I'll give him nine to fifty. Okay, Ross is going
- 7:25Speaker 1: to give him a little bit more than you get.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Okay, He's like fifteen hundred was the deposit, two hundred
- 7:29Speaker 3: for the TV, one hundred for the cleaning, one hundred
- 7:32Speaker 3: for the oil stain. I'll double your your fifty dollars
- 7:34Speaker 3: for the cleaning. I'll give you one hundred for the clean,
- 7:36Speaker 3: one hundred for the cleaning, one hundred for the oil,
- 7:38Speaker 3: twenty five dollars for the ten dollars notary fee and
- 7:40Speaker 3: the travel expenses.
- 7:42Speaker 2: He just cares about notaries as much as we do.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Uh.
- 7:46Speaker 2: That leaves us with one thousand and seventy five dollars.
- 7:48Speaker 1: He started at fifty hundred and it come down. He
- 7:50Speaker 1: is he basically the plane right, You're like that makes sense?
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so you would have been close.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Great, we did it. It was real.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Yes, Ross is as frustrated as we are right now.
- 8:00Speaker 3: It's casual Friday. It's casual Friday here at the Gabble.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Let's head over to Jackie Justice with Jackie Glass.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Robert Berkeley is suing LeeAnne and Kelly, Leeann and Kelly
- 8:13Speaker 1: for two thousand dollars.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Okay, Robert is suing both from LeeAnne to Kelly.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Leeann and Kelly. They're there together, giggling there the whole
- 8:20Speaker 1: way through. One thing you need to know about Jackie.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Jackie doesn't have a chair. She stands. She's just kind
- 8:26Speaker 1: of like, in my head I pictured a man for
- 8:28Speaker 1: Jackie Glass. No, no, I'm glad. It doesn't matter. I
- 8:31Speaker 1: just in my head page. I know. So, Leanne and
- 8:35Speaker 1: Kelly were Robert's sugar babies. Okay. Robert forty seven years old,
- 8:42Speaker 1: single and likes to use the website Seeking Arrangements dot Com,
- 8:46Speaker 1: Seeking Arrangements dot Com to find some sugar babies. This
- 8:50Speaker 1: is a sugar baby's also a candy, I think so,
- 8:52Speaker 1: and they should probably change her name. But he is
- 8:56Speaker 1: sugar daddy, yes, and they are sugar baby baby. That
- 9:00Speaker 1: is so uncomfortable. That's what I don't know. I've got
- 9:04Speaker 1: to be a better term. I'm just passing along the show. Yes,
- 9:10Speaker 1: so he meets Kelly on this website. He meets Kelly first,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and he said that she became his friend, but there
- 9:16Speaker 1: was also some schmacks and uh, you know, buying some
- 9:21Speaker 1: stuff for her. We've said a lot of words on
- 9:24Speaker 1: the gabble. I think you can say sex and sex.
- 9:27Speaker 1: But there was there was no set stipend for Kelly
- 9:34Speaker 1: for the sex. There was no transactional nature in particular,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, there was wink agreement, bought her some
- 9:43Speaker 1: stuff and whatnot, but.
- 9:46Speaker 2: She was yes, okay.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Got About five months later he meets Leanne and all right,
- 9:55Speaker 1: he's been using this website babies. He's been using this
- 9:59Speaker 1: web for around twelve years. Of course, over the course
- 10:03Speaker 1: of twelve years, he has been in a relationship with
- 10:08Speaker 1: eleven different women, some more serious than others. He does
- 10:12Speaker 1: say at one point Dan that he has a he
- 10:15Speaker 1: sets a budget for himself fifty thousand dollars a year.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Sugar babyes fifty thousand. Over the course of twelve years,
- 10:23Speaker 1: she's six hundred thousand bucks. That's over, that's over half
- 10:28Speaker 1: a million dollars. Yeah, on sugar Babies. He says, some
- 10:32Speaker 1: make characterize it in your teeth. Yeah, from the King. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: some he says, may characterize this as high end prostitution. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 1: sex work, but I consider it a lifestyle. Okay, So
- 10:50Speaker 1: can't take that from me. So Leanne and Kelly. Leanne
- 10:54Speaker 1: and Kelly met each other through Rob and he's suing them. Yes,
- 11:01Speaker 1: one of them is nineteen, one of them is twenty,
- 11:04Speaker 1: he's forty seven. Do the math. I don't want him.
- 11:08Speaker 1: They come over. They come over to his place one night.
- 11:14Speaker 1: This is the first time that they met. There is
- 11:17Speaker 1: some drinking going on now, as he may recall, one
- 11:22Speaker 1: is nineteen, one is twenty, Bonderich underage.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Clearly underage. Not a problem for Robert.
- 11:28Speaker 1: He ignowled like he's the one who said this, that
- 11:32Speaker 1: they so great Robert. Kelly speaks up and says that
- 11:37Speaker 1: Robert was her first and last sugar daddy. She hung
- 11:44Speaker 1: out with him, got dinner with him, once, slept on
- 11:47Speaker 1: the couch. That was it for a long time. Then
- 11:51Speaker 1: four or five months later he's like, hey, I want
- 11:54Speaker 1: you to come over meet Leanne. We'll have a time.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Leanne says, I met him four or five times, you know,
- 12:00Speaker 1: various things, And they both claim that Robert would often
- 12:06Speaker 1: try to provide them with ecstasy to help them relax.
- 12:09Speaker 1: They call it e but I did the work here.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Is this guy a predator? Yeah yeah, I mean they
- 12:17Speaker 1: are on the website so like they're they do meed
- 12:21Speaker 1: that way, but he is trying to give them with
- 12:25Speaker 1: alcohol ecstasy and I hoop we do go to I Hop.
- 12:29Speaker 1: We'll get there. So the morning after, Hey, we're there,
- 12:32Speaker 1: we're gonna go to iye hop. He gives the defendant.
- 12:35Speaker 1: He gives them twenty four dollars to split at I Hop. Okay,
- 12:41Speaker 1: that's not enough money with tip, no way. They're frustrated.
- 12:44Speaker 1: They're they're frustrated by this, and they think that he's
- 12:48Speaker 1: frustrated because nothing happened between the three of them the
- 12:51Speaker 1: night before. It's weird that this guy has been fifty
- 12:54Speaker 1: grand a year, but he goes to IE hop and
- 12:55Speaker 1: he's like only twenty. Well, they say, the reason why
- 12:58Speaker 1: he captain at twenty four four for the split sees
- 13:01Speaker 1: is because he was mad they didn't they didn't brus
- 13:05Speaker 1: se Kelly adults after I Hop is getting into the
- 13:12Speaker 1: car and is complaining and so he just drives off
- 13:16Speaker 1: without me before no before she's fully in the car,
- 13:20Speaker 1: Kelly is getting in the car complaining. He's like enough
- 13:23Speaker 1: of this, drives off. She falls out of the car again.
- 13:27Speaker 1: He's suing her, so he's very mad, dumps all of
- 13:34Speaker 1: his stuff and dumps all of her stuff in a bush,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and it's like, don't don't come back. So Leanne is mad,
- 13:41Speaker 1: Kelly is mad. So they decide to go to his house.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Uh oh no, don't make this guy get money. So
- 13:49Speaker 1: they start, you know, peeking at because his car is
- 13:53Speaker 1: not at the house. So they're like starting to like, hey,
- 13:56Speaker 1: banging on the door, looking at the windows, et cetera.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Don't see him. Finally he opens the door, they run off.
- 14:02Speaker 1: He says, they were clearly trying to break into my
- 14:04Speaker 1: house because they didn't think I was there. Okay, So
- 14:08Speaker 1: they walk away and as they're walking down the street,
- 14:12Speaker 1: they see his car, so he had parked the car
- 14:16Speaker 1: away from his house so that they would think that
- 14:19Speaker 1: he wasn't home. But then they try to break anneburg.
- 14:23Speaker 1: So she has on her person for reasons I don't know,
- 14:27Speaker 1: a wine opener, okay, like a corkscrew yep, she corkscrews
- 14:33Speaker 1: his car lines all of them her no, I don't remember,
- 14:41Speaker 1: but does not deny it, says it felt great. I
- 14:46Speaker 1: dug my cork drew into the side of his I
- 14:49Speaker 1: don't remember what car it is. He calls the cops.
- 14:54Speaker 1: They come and they basically they can tell that this
- 14:58Speaker 1: is a very tox environments between these three adults, and
- 15:03Speaker 1: so they just tell them all to not see each
- 15:06Speaker 1: other again, don't talk to each other, get out of
- 15:08Speaker 1: here fair. So he starts what he wants somebody to
- 15:13Speaker 1: pay for his car. Yes, the scratches on his car.
- 15:17Speaker 1: So he starts contacting their parents wo asking them to
- 15:21Speaker 1: pay for the car, telling them about the lifestyle on
- 15:24Speaker 1: which your daughter is living, claiming that their guy is
- 15:29Speaker 1: the best. Now you might be asking why doesn't Robert
- 15:32Speaker 1: just file this to insurance. He says that he was
- 15:36Speaker 1: in an accident a couple of years ago and doesn't
- 15:39Speaker 1: want to get insurance involved again because it might.
- 15:42Speaker 2: It pays fifty a year for children.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but he doesn't want to get insurance involved. He
- 15:48Speaker 1: just wants repayment. He just wants to repayment. He's budgeted.
- 15:50Speaker 1: He's budgeted a half a million dollars over the next decade,
- 15:53Speaker 1: and he explains.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Insurance can't do it.
- 15:57Speaker 1: And he says, I just want you to pay for
- 16:00Speaker 1: what you did. There are consequences to your ass. Oh boy,
- 16:04Speaker 1: this guy, this guy, we're having fun, right, yeah, we are. Ultimately,
- 16:10Speaker 1: he ends up after months of trying to get them
- 16:13Speaker 1: to pay, inviting them to spend the night with him
- 16:18Speaker 1: as payment for the car, which they decline. Really, they
- 16:26Speaker 1: then bring uh Jackie Glass brings in the CEO of
- 16:29Speaker 1: Seeking Arrangements dot Com. Oh and just kind of she
- 16:33Speaker 1: just kind of rips into him. Yeah. And it's at
- 16:36Speaker 1: this point that I realize that the person who uploaded
- 16:42Speaker 1: this video to YouTube is the CEO of Speaking Range.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So proud of it.
- 16:49Speaker 2: We've now given Seeking Arrangements dot Com.
- 16:51Speaker 1: He's he's proud of it. He's like, I love that
- 16:55Speaker 1: Jackie Glass ripped into me and my website and all
- 16:59Speaker 1: of that. Anyway, Jackie Glass is ready to rule.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yeah, this is tough because this guy should never like
- 17:06Speaker 3: he should basically be in solitary confinement the rest of
- 17:09Speaker 3: his life just as a human being.
- 17:12Speaker 2: He's toxic, he's terrible, he's awful. They keep his car.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I this is why I couldn't be a judge in
- 17:18Speaker 1: a courtroom, because I would be like, no, go after yourself.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Because that's the spirit of the law. The letter of
- 17:24Speaker 1: the law says they have to pay money. I can't.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I can't personally stamp that, but I'm interested to hear
- 17:31Speaker 3: what Jackie Glass does.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Jackie Glass says, Robert, you supplied miners with alcohol contructs.
- 17:38Speaker 2: There you go, there's the loophole.
- 17:39Speaker 1: There are consequences to your actions. Go throwing out your case.
