- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:03Speaker 1: it all means. He smarts alone on seven to ten walk.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll get to President Trump. We'll get to
- 0:14Speaker 2: a crazy mom, Johnnie. We'll get to Don Rickles. It's
- 0:17Speaker 2: one hundredth birthday today. We'll get to Kamala Harris twenty
- 0:23Speaker 2: twenty eight. Yeah, it looks like it's gonna have We'll
- 0:25Speaker 2: get to the virus. Is it coming here? We'll get
- 0:27Speaker 2: to Hakeim, We'll get to Mick Jagger. We'll get to
- 0:30Speaker 2: a lot of stuff to talk about today. It's Friday already.
- 0:34Speaker 2: That's the good news bad news for Democrats. The jobs
- 0:37Speaker 2: numbers are out and they're really good, way above estimates.
- 0:42Speaker 2: This keeps happening month after month after month. Stocks are
- 0:46Speaker 2: up as a result of a very strong jobs report.
- 0:49Speaker 2: This is several months in a row, very strong jobs report.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Corporate spending his way up, earnings are coming in, they're
- 0:56Speaker 2: looking great. You know, every so often you get a company,
- 0:59Speaker 2: what little company, Whirlpool, for instance, on their call yesterday
- 1:03Speaker 2: said business is plunging. So this is all you hear about. Whirlpool.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Business fell off a cliff, And they'll just play that
- 1:11Speaker 2: up on that's the only story they'll tell you. They
- 1:13Speaker 2: will not tell you that earnings are up all over
- 1:15Speaker 2: the place every other corporation. So that's the problem. If
- 1:20Speaker 2: you watch Network News or CNN or MSNBC, you're getting
- 1:24Speaker 2: one piece of the puzzle and not the rest. So
- 1:29Speaker 2: as far as I ran, we've seized one of their
- 1:31Speaker 2: tankers overnight. They fired a shot here, just little stuff.
- 1:35Speaker 2: The ceasefire is in place. The President calls it love tap,
- 1:39Speaker 2: little love taps, but the ceasefire is in place. President
- 1:44Speaker 2: at the White House. This is the final weekend of
- 1:46Speaker 2: mar A Lago. It closes every year on Mother's Day
- 1:49Speaker 2: because it's way too hot to be in Florida for
- 1:52Speaker 2: the next six months. You might want to bear that
- 1:55Speaker 2: in mind if you're thinking of a move in there
- 1:56Speaker 2: for six months you can't go outside, so it closes
- 1:59Speaker 2: on Mother's This is the final weekend. I don't think
- 2:01Speaker 2: he's going though. You know those old ientis that clog
- 2:04Speaker 2: up the dining room, those howie yo, those women, I
- 2:07Speaker 2: don't know what they're gonna do. He's not gonna show up.
- 2:10Speaker 2: So it looks like he's going to Virginia later today.
- 2:13Speaker 2: One of those l I V golf tournaments. They live
- 2:16Speaker 2: l I v. Saudi Golf League. It looks like the
- 2:20Speaker 2: Saudi's are pulling out. Looks like it's probably on its
- 2:22Speaker 2: last legs. But they're having a big tournament today at
- 2:25Speaker 2: the Trump golf course in Virginia. He's got a big
- 2:28Speaker 2: golf club right outside of DC, so he'll go there
- 2:32Speaker 2: tonight for that. He's not going to Miami tonight. I
- 2:36Speaker 2: don't think he'll go in the Palm Beach. I don't
- 2:38Speaker 2: think he'll go tomorrow. He'll probably some weekends. He stays
- 2:41Speaker 2: around DC when it's warm out, the weather's good, plays
- 2:44Speaker 2: golf at his own course in Virginia, and he enjoys
- 2:48Speaker 2: it because in the Virginia golf course, everybody there says hello,
- 2:52Speaker 2: mister President, Hello, nice to see you. If you go
- 2:54Speaker 2: to the Palm Beach, one to mar A Lago, everybody's
- 2:57Speaker 2: howie yo. It's a whole different crowd in in Virginia.
- 3:01Speaker 2: So I think he'll stay up there all weekend. They've
- 3:06Speaker 2: decided on one thing.
- 3:09Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Trump used Nancy Pelosi for a long time as a
- 3:12Speaker 2: good punching bag, a good target, because she symbolizes everything
- 3:18Speaker 2: rotten with politics in DC. So a woman making one
- 3:21Speaker 2: hundred and seventy five thousand a year who somehow on
- 3:24Speaker 2: that salary is now worth eight hundred million insider trading.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Just a sleezeball, old fashioned, sleezy, dirty politician for one
- 3:35Speaker 2: hundred years, nine thousand years old. Still won't leave. So
- 3:39Speaker 2: she was a great symbol, but you can't really use
- 3:42Speaker 2: her much anymore. She's on her way out. The President
- 3:44Speaker 2: has decided to elevate Hakeem Jeffries. He's going to start
- 3:49Speaker 2: going after Hakeem Jeffries more and more. He's another symbol.
- 3:53Speaker 2: He's a guy from like the most radical left wing
- 3:56Speaker 2: district in Brooklyn, like a real left wing, a radical Democrat,
- 4:02Speaker 2: and they like him because he can't talk. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 2: whenever he has to speak on anything anywhere, press conference,
- 4:10Speaker 2: meet the press, whatever, these interns write up talking points
- 4:13Speaker 2: and he recites them, and he does it in this
- 4:16Speaker 2: robotic voice, and he always just repeats phrases, just cliches
- 4:21Speaker 2: the interns of it. For this war of choice, you know,
- 4:25Speaker 2: he'll always said the president for this war of choice.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So they want to play him up. That robot. You know,
- 4:33Speaker 2: he looks like that the robot look in his eyes
- 4:36Speaker 2: so they're going to make a much more out of
- 4:38Speaker 2: King Jeffries. The other reason they like him, if you've
- 4:41Speaker 2: watched him carefully, clearly no personality. He's a robot and
- 4:45Speaker 2: he's low IQ, which is perfect. When you can find
- 4:48Speaker 2: a real low IQ Democrat, it's great to put the
- 4:51Speaker 2: spotlight on them. So you're going to see a lot
- 4:53Speaker 2: more of that. Kamala Harris is scaring a lot of
- 4:58Speaker 2: people in the Democratic Party because it looks like she's
- 5:02Speaker 2: really taken twenty twenty eight seriously. She had a good
- 5:06Speaker 2: chance to run for governor California. It would have been
- 5:08Speaker 2: a good opportunity for her. It's a big open field
- 5:11Speaker 2: on the Democratic side, and she turned it down, which
- 5:15Speaker 2: indicated she's looking at the presidency in twenty twenty eight.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Now we're seeing behind the scenes that she's working hard,
- 5:21Speaker 2: pulling a lot of strings for twenty twenty eight. Now
- 5:24Speaker 2: she's got a top team of people that know how
- 5:28Speaker 2: to do that. Now she stinks as a candidate. She's
- 5:32Speaker 2: the worst candidate, just giggling, laughing, drunk, can't really articulate anything.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Horrible candidate. Has a track record of getting absolutely nothing
- 5:43Speaker 2: done in office, total failure. But this is perfect for
- 5:46Speaker 2: Democrats because far left and checks a lot of boxes.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Black Indian woman, female from California, all these boxes Democratic
- 5:57Speaker 2: boxes she checks. But again, she's got people as far
- 6:01Speaker 2: as campaign people, presidential campaign people. Gavin Newsom doesn't have that,
- 6:07Speaker 2: That fat slab JB. Pritzker doesn't have that. You know,
- 6:11Speaker 2: they try to take their state people, but they don't
- 6:13Speaker 2: have a lot of experience running big national campaigns. So
- 6:16Speaker 2: Kamala pretty much is in the lead right now.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Knows.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Some people have pointed out the fact that she has
- 6:22Speaker 2: all these top people, but she stinks as a candidate.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Means you're going in the race with the best car
- 6:28Speaker 2: in the race, but you're a terrible driver, so that
- 6:31Speaker 2: never really quite works out. Rama Manuel is the other one,
- 6:36Speaker 2: trying very hard behind the scenes. Now he's an extremely
- 6:39Speaker 2: unpleasant guy, Rama Manuel. He's a dirty politician, like a rough, tough,
- 6:44Speaker 2: dirty fighter, but very smart, very cunning. Knows how to
- 6:49Speaker 2: work that machine, that democratic machine. So keep an eye
- 6:53Speaker 2: on him. Hey, that big virus on that ship. You
- 6:56Speaker 2: keep hearing about this virus where the death rate is
- 6:59Speaker 2: like fifty percent. It's the most deadly virus. Everybody's terrified
- 7:02Speaker 2: of it. And everybody's worried about a pandemic coming here again,
- 7:08Speaker 2: you know, be locked down again, wearing masks, stay at home.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know, you can only remember that. Remember the beginning
- 7:15Speaker 2: of the pandemic. This first few months, about all you
- 7:16Speaker 2: could do is go to the supermarket. Everything was closed,
- 7:20Speaker 2: every restaurant, everything. And then towards the middle of the year,
- 7:24Speaker 2: end of the year, the restaurants started to open, but
- 7:26Speaker 2: it was only ten percent. You had to eat outside.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It was such such a strange period. Could that come back?
- 7:31Speaker 2: I don't think so, because every expert you talk to
- 7:34Speaker 2: says this virus is not airborne. It takes extremely close
- 7:38Speaker 2: contact to transmit. It can be transmitted by rats through
- 7:43Speaker 2: their urine, through their PCs, through that kind of but
- 7:47Speaker 2: it's this would be more like AIDS, where it takes
- 7:50Speaker 2: very close contact to transmit virus.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Experts.
- 7:54Speaker 4: One thing I do want to just you know, kind
- 7:57Speaker 4: of calm the public. There's only about thirty of hauntavirus
- 8:01Speaker 4: a year in the US.
- 8:02Speaker 3: It is super rare.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a terrible name, haunta virus, but very very rare.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It has been in the US for starting in like
- 8:12Speaker 2: nineteen ninety three, like thirty years ago. There's tiny amounts.
- 8:15Speaker 2: They found one ndred couple of hundred cases. That was it,
- 8:17Speaker 2: and it never really spread because again it's not airborne.
- 8:21Speaker 2: It takes really really close contact.
- 8:24Speaker 4: The bottom line is the rats that are in South
- 8:26Speaker 4: America Argentina for example, are different than the rats in
- 8:29Speaker 4: the United States. Yes, there is hauntavirus in the United States.
- 8:31Speaker 4: It's a different strain than the one in South America.
- 8:34Speaker 4: It is not spread from person to person.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the rats down. So South American rats have it.
- 8:41Speaker 2: American rats. They got plenty of garbage, they got food
- 8:44Speaker 2: all over the street to eat. They're not gonna they're
- 8:46Speaker 2: not going to carry anything. So Mick Chagger's been in
- 8:51Speaker 2: town all week promoting his album. He was on the
- 8:53Speaker 2: Tonight Show. He doing all kinds of stuff. What do
- 8:56Speaker 2: you think he does at night? What do you what
- 8:58Speaker 2: did you picture Mick Jagger doing? No, you see, it's
- 9:02Speaker 2: very strange. You think he's the rough, tough rock and
- 9:04Speaker 2: roll Now Wednesday night he went to Danielle's new restaurant,
- 9:12Speaker 2: which is this very elegant French steakhouse. It's called La
- 9:16Speaker 2: Tete Dior by Danielle and we gotta get aim picture
- 9:20Speaker 2: of Mick Jagger, know something like that. Last night he
- 9:22Speaker 2: went to the Ballet Spring Gala. What happened to Mick Jagger?
- 9:27Speaker 2: French restaurant to ballet. It's not the same McJagger anymore. So, Mom,
- 9:32Speaker 2: Donnie is apparently behind the scenes getting pressured by a
- 9:36Speaker 2: lot of people in New York, a lot of political people,
- 9:39Speaker 2: a lot of government people, to stop the war on billionaires.
- 9:43Speaker 2: If these people leave, if these billionaires start leaving, it
- 9:49Speaker 2: is economic disaster for New York.
- 9:52Speaker 5: You know.
- 9:53Speaker 2: For a guy who claims the love tax revenue, why
- 9:56Speaker 2: would you chase away the guys that paid most of
- 9:59Speaker 2: the tax revenue. It's like owning a restaurant and chasing
- 10:01Speaker 2: away your biggest customers. Any restaurant where you got a
- 10:05Speaker 2: handful of guys there, your single biggest customers, spend a fortune.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Why would you insult them, annoy them, try to chase
- 10:12Speaker 2: them out. It's ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. Many of them go
- 10:18Speaker 2: to Florida, many of them go to Texas. Here's Ron DeSantis.
- 10:21Speaker 6: When you go in front of somebody's house.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I remember he did that awful Ken Griffin video pointing
- 10:26Speaker 2: at Griffin's housing that's where he lives, and trying to
- 10:29Speaker 2: demonize and target this guy, here's DeSantis.
- 10:32Speaker 6: When you go in front of somebody's house and try
- 10:34Speaker 6: to surveil that and put that out to the world
- 10:37Speaker 6: in the hopes, I believe they were trying to row
- 10:39Speaker 6: people up to maybe do something even worse. Of course,
- 10:43Speaker 6: you're gonna want to run from that area and you're
- 10:45Speaker 6: gonna want to embrace Florida. So I'm not surprised that
- 10:48Speaker 6: they're doing that, And obviously we'll just keep doing the
- 10:51Speaker 6: job that we're doing down here.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah, So a lot of people behind the scenes, a
- 10:55Speaker 2: lot of political people, even Democratic officials, just pressure mom, Donnie,
- 11:02Speaker 2: ease up on that stuff. You know, these billionaires that
- 11:04Speaker 2: have already left over the last ten years and have
- 11:07Speaker 2: gone to Florida cost US six hundred and sixty billion
- 11:12Speaker 2: in lost revenue, all the billionaires, all the people that
- 11:15Speaker 2: moved to Florida. That was six hundred and sixty billion
- 11:20Speaker 2: that we lost over ten years. So figure it's sixty
- 11:24Speaker 2: six seventy let's say it's sixty eight billion a year.
- 11:28Speaker 2: That's a lot of revenue to lose from a state.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You know, our budget in New York is what it was,
- 11:33Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty billion. It's half the city's budget
- 11:36Speaker 2: left gone. So a lot of people. Let's see if
- 11:40Speaker 2: it works. Let's see if they make any headway with
- 11:43Speaker 2: mom Donnie. It's not going to be easy the local people.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Hukal is trying to get the budget done. She's quite
- 11:50Speaker 2: the goofball, like a chicken running around with his head cutoff.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Doesn't know what she's doing. Announces the budget deal.
- 11:56Speaker 3: That's it.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Budget deal is done, but the assemble Speaker, the head
- 12:01Speaker 2: of the legislature has to explain everybody it's not done.
- 12:04Speaker 1: There's no budget deal. I said to her last night.
- 12:06Speaker 7: I was comfortable with her saying to y'all, we were close.
- 12:10Speaker 1: It is close. But this is what's wrong with this process.
- 12:13Speaker 7: It's like, I'm gonna only talk about policy, and then
- 12:17Speaker 7: when i think the legislature has given me what I
- 12:20Speaker 7: want on policy, then we'll talk about money. There's so
- 12:24Speaker 7: many open issues on money.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, remember you had Juliani, Bloomberg, Pataki, that's who was
- 12:32Speaker 2: running things. She had the Republicans controlling half the legislature.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Now you got this guy Carl Heasty, You got all
- 12:38Speaker 2: these crazy left wing coops. Now for about thirteen years.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Last thirteen years, Democrats have controlled every inch of the government, everything,
- 12:48Speaker 2: city hall, state government, the Assembly, the legislature, state senate, governor, mayor.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Everybody was a Democrat last thirteen years. So if they're
- 13:00Speaker 2: yelling about an affordability crisis, guess who's responsible. They've been
- 13:04Speaker 2: running everything for thirteen years. So if there's all this
- 13:06Speaker 2: stuff wrong with affordability, the rent of this, it's their fault.
- 13:11Speaker 2: They own it. Hey, throughout the show, Let's take a
- 13:13Speaker 2: look back at Don Rickles. It's his one hundredth birthday today.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Don Rickles a hundred today. He was a regular visitor
- 13:22Speaker 2: on this show. Let's take a listen to a little
- 13:25Speaker 2: Don Rickles on this show not long ago. See let
- 13:27Speaker 2: me ask you, but that you're on the Letterman Show
- 13:29Speaker 2: the other night. You're doing something. You looked at the
- 13:30Speaker 2: guy and you said, See, it's all attitude. It's all attitude.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It's the way you tell those jokes. I mean, actually,
- 13:36Speaker 2: you've never even told a joke in your life.
- 13:38Speaker 8: Never, Mark, It's true. I'm glad to observe that. No,
- 13:41Speaker 8: I believe it's I always said attitude. You know, I
- 13:44Speaker 8: can say to a guy you know, the sweat is ridiculous,
- 13:47Speaker 8: and don't laugh. Don't ask me, but I know why,
- 13:50Speaker 8: because there's the way to say a thing. Uh, Comedians today,
- 13:54Speaker 8: each one has I think. I think with God, I
- 13:56Speaker 8: had a lot of rejection as you can imagine. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 8: I got Joe Gandoria Rusts. You know, the elegut gave
- 14:03Speaker 8: me the big training drum behind there you know in Brooklyn. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 8: what I was doing boy Mitsa's weddings, Catholic dances and
- 14:10Speaker 8: anything that moved. I was doing shows and have a
- 14:13Speaker 8: good background. You know.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Hey, but Don Rickles, you're become the biggest comedy on
- 14:16Speaker 2: earth and you have never in your life told a joke.
- 14:19Speaker 2: In the beginning, these guys must have said to you, you
- 14:21Speaker 2: got to tell some jokes.
- 14:22Speaker 3: You got to do something like that.
- 14:23Speaker 8: Absolutely, I know I never did. I never did. I
- 14:26Speaker 8: used to do it like on me another comedians. I
- 14:28Speaker 8: used to do impersonations that were kind of sad. But yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 8: that that kept me going in the market.
- 14:34Speaker 5: All right.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Now, Now tell me I always ask you this for
- 14:36Speaker 2: twenty years. You never explained. Tell me the secret. Like
- 14:38Speaker 2: when you say to a guy, when you say the letterman,
- 14:40Speaker 2: that's it. You're finished. You say it and it's not insulting,
- 14:44Speaker 2: it's funny.
- 14:44Speaker 3: How do you do it?
- 14:45Speaker 8: Well, thank you. It's all in your personality. You can't
- 14:49Speaker 8: teach somebody that, you know.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Yeah, you know.
- 14:52Speaker 8: I you know Frank Sinata Gariss So here was my
- 14:55Speaker 8: biggest spoil. He was so nobody could do what I
- 14:57Speaker 8: did with Frank. He was so great to me. I mean,
- 15:00Speaker 8: you know, we'd be eating and you know, talking. You say, no, pastor,
- 15:04Speaker 8: but I said, can't you see, Frank, I'm busy? What
- 15:06Speaker 8: do you want? And he would fall him up.
- 15:09Speaker 9: You know.
- 15:09Speaker 3: All right?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Now, if I said can't you see I'm busy, it
- 15:11Speaker 2: would sound stupid.
- 15:12Speaker 3: What what is it that you do?
- 15:13Speaker 9: You?
- 15:13Speaker 2: I know one thing you do, you're an incredible actor.
- 15:16Speaker 2: There were a lot of notes in that when you
- 15:17Speaker 2: said that.
- 15:17Speaker 8: Well, thank you, and you said you're like the.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Sonatra of comedy. You like, have incredible acting ability built
- 15:23Speaker 2: in the way.
- 15:23Speaker 8: Thanks, but I appreciate that. Yeah, yeah, you know. I
- 15:26Speaker 8: went to the American Academy at dridic Arts. They try
- 15:28Speaker 8: to keep it quiet.
- 15:30Speaker 2: A great time. Nicols one hundred years old today, Well,
- 15:34Speaker 2: well we'll play some more of them a little later.
- 15:35Speaker 2: On Hey, well, take some calls next. Eight hundred three
- 15:39Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 15:43Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Set up, you said on the iHeartRadio app to w
- 15:48Speaker 1: o R to hear Mark live.
- 15:50Speaker 7: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Simone on wo R.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:04Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Look at this calling
- 16:06Speaker 2: sal from Patsy's, the legendary restaurant West fifty sixth Streets.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Sal from Patsy's. How you doing?
- 16:13Speaker 10: Hey, good morning, buddy, How are you good?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Drive it into work? I can tell you could.
- 16:19Speaker 10: Tell you, oh yeah, thank go. But it was so
- 16:23Speaker 10: funny you're talking about Don Rickles. There's so many great stories.
- 16:26Speaker 10: He was so funny. I couldn't even.
- 16:27Speaker 9: Take his order.
- 16:28Speaker 10: He was making me laugh so much. And then, like
- 16:31Speaker 10: you said, he was the only way he'll get away,
- 16:33Speaker 10: the only one who could get away with it and
- 16:34Speaker 10: say these things in a way that you just had
- 16:37Speaker 10: to crack up. You was so funny and certainly the
- 16:40Speaker 10: truth in that interview you had with him there he
- 16:43Speaker 10: was the only one who could get away with stuff
- 16:45Speaker 10: with Sinatra, but not only get away with it, but
- 16:47Speaker 10: that he loved him. And I think the most famous
- 16:50Speaker 10: story and this clip you could watch it on the
- 16:53Speaker 10: Johnny Classon show ranks to tell us the story about
- 16:57Speaker 10: that when Don Rickles was there and he did this
- 17:00Speaker 10: twice to him. He did it once at Patches Italian
- 17:02Speaker 10: restaurants and he didn't and on the West Coast Italian restaurant.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Wait, that's this famous story where he begs Frank come
- 17:09Speaker 2: over the table sail out to me because I'm with
- 17:11Speaker 2: this girl. I'm trying to impress her.
- 17:12Speaker 10: So Sinatra was trying to impress the girl.
- 17:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, So the later Sinatra walks over, Hello, Don, how
- 17:19Speaker 2: are you guys? Frank? Can't you see I'm eating? What
- 17:20Speaker 2: are you bothering me for?
- 17:21Speaker 3: Sir?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Every time those two guys told the story, I've noticed
- 17:26Speaker 2: it's not on the air but off here. It was
- 17:28Speaker 2: always a different restaurant, it was always a different city.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So that's why I thought it was a myth. But
- 17:32Speaker 2: you actually saw it.
- 17:34Speaker 10: Yes, he actually did it at the restaurant he was
- 17:38Speaker 10: and you know, Sinatra was upstairs and he finished his
- 17:41Speaker 10: express and stuff and he you know, he fulfilled his
- 17:45Speaker 10: promise to come down.
- 17:46Speaker 11: It's because you.
- 17:47Speaker 10: Don Rickles was with the woman who's trying to impress
- 17:49Speaker 10: her that he knew Frank Sinatra. Can't you see?
- 17:53Speaker 11: Can't you see?
- 17:54Speaker 10: I'm eating here leading alone?
- 17:57Speaker 2: Now, the young Don Rickles, before he was really famous,
- 18:00Speaker 2: although he was very successful nightclubs, was a young he's
- 18:03Speaker 2: kind of very heavy. He had a lot of much
- 18:05Speaker 2: heavier back then. He was always chasing women. He was
- 18:08Speaker 2: chasing after every woman singer on the boat him. So uh.
- 18:12Speaker 2: But and Rickles and his wife, they were they were
- 18:15Speaker 2: the nicest people. They were like not very show busy.
- 18:18Speaker 2: They were just kind of like regular tourists. They were
- 18:19Speaker 2: going to Broadway shows and all that stuff.
- 18:22Speaker 10: Regular old fashioned people. Just a great guy, and you
- 18:25Speaker 10: took about acting. I don't remember even he was in
- 18:28Speaker 10: some of the Twilight Zones.
- 18:29Speaker 11: Do you remember that?
- 18:30Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 18:31Speaker 2: Yeah, before he got really famous, he was a big
- 18:33Speaker 2: nightclub star and he didn't acting. He was in gomer Pile,
- 18:37Speaker 2: he was in the Munsters, he was in the Twilight Zone.
- 18:39Speaker 12: He was it's so funny to watch him back then,
- 18:43Speaker 12: but he was.
- 18:44Speaker 10: He was a good actor. He really was that well
- 18:47Speaker 10: and just just a great guy. I can't believe it
- 18:49Speaker 10: would have been a hun while.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you got his picture on the wall, right.
- 18:54Speaker 10: Of course, I got a picture of him eating I
- 18:56Speaker 10: take a meatball.
- 18:57Speaker 3: All right.
- 18:58Speaker 2: So when you go to Patsy, he's the great Italian
- 19:00Speaker 2: landmark restaurant West fifty six between broad Ways, don't just
- 19:04Speaker 2: rush in. When you walk in the door, stop and
- 19:06Speaker 2: look at all the pictures on the wall. They're pretty amazing,
- 19:09Speaker 2: all these famous customers. Well South, thanks for calling.
- 19:13Speaker 10: Oh, thank you, buddy, b Well.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Take care. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how
- 19:19Speaker 2: you doing.
- 19:20Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark, Mike. I had a comment about Rickles,
- 19:24Speaker 12: but a quick thing about Lennon, uh not Leondon. Jeffries
- 19:27Speaker 12: a queen Jeffries. Watching when he speaks his hands are
- 19:30Speaker 12: moving in a very awkward way is something they must
- 19:32Speaker 12: have all gone to Democrat how to speak school, because
- 19:35Speaker 12: he Gavin Newsom, they all move their hands and it
- 19:38Speaker 12: doesn't jibe with what they're saying.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Well, in his defense, he is a robot, so blame
- 19:44Speaker 2: the programmer, whoever program that Robut that's true.
- 19:46Speaker 3: They need they need new coders.
- 19:49Speaker 12: But getting back to Rickles, I'm glad you guys mentioned
- 19:51Speaker 12: what a great actor he was. He you know, because
- 19:53Speaker 12: he shows up in all this early TV, the Andy
- 19:56Speaker 12: Griffith Show and U and uh, you know, but maybe
- 20:01Speaker 12: Bile and he was great and Kelly's.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Heroes, Yeah, Dick Van Dyke Show.
- 20:07Speaker 12: What's that famous story where he was doing CPO sharkey
- 20:10Speaker 12: And was it Carson who went over to give him
- 20:12Speaker 12: a hard time or was it the other way around?
- 20:15Speaker 2: No, he broke carson cigarette box the night before, so right, Johnny,
- 20:19Speaker 2: that's what it was. It was actually the whole thing
- 20:21Speaker 2: was actually pretty fake and rigged, but it was cute.
- 20:24Speaker 2: But he said, I've had this cigarette box for you
- 20:27Speaker 2: since New York. That's not true. It was a whole
- 20:28Speaker 2: different cigarette box in New York. But and Rickles knew
- 20:32Speaker 2: they were common. It was all prett.
- 20:34Speaker 9: Oh he did that.
- 20:35Speaker 12: I wish he wasn't in on the joke. That would
- 20:37Speaker 12: have been because he was so great. I mean, he
- 20:39Speaker 12: looked really looked like he was taken aback when Carson
- 20:42Speaker 12: confronted him.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Very good actor. As you said, you see those act
- 20:46Speaker 2: today you could just take a camera, handheld camera guy
- 20:48Speaker 2: could follow you across the hall, down the hall into
- 20:51Speaker 2: another street. Back then, you couldn't do that. They were big,
- 20:53Speaker 2: heavy show.
- 20:54Speaker 3: That was a big production. And come to think of it,
- 20:56Speaker 3: you're right.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah, the cables wouldn't have reached. They had to have it.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It all had to be all set up. But thanks
- 21:01Speaker 2: for calling, Mike. Great call. Let's go to Joe in Nutley,
- 21:04Speaker 2: New Jersey. Joe, how you.
- 21:05Speaker 13: Doing, dahn Mark, how are you doing?
- 21:09Speaker 3: Great?
- 21:10Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 21:10Speaker 13: I just wanted to comment on Mick Jagger. I remember
- 21:13Speaker 13: back in twenty nineteen he stopped at a place at
- 21:16Speaker 13: TikTok Diner. Yeah, on his way to MetLife Stadium for
- 21:20Speaker 13: a show. And compared to what he's eating now at
- 21:23Speaker 13: this fancy press rest French restaurant you mentioned, Yeah, he
- 21:27Speaker 13: had a tailor ham, egg and cheese sandwich with disco friese.
- 21:33Speaker 9: You still have it on the menu.
- 21:34Speaker 13: It's called the Mick Jagger.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's the old Mickjagger. The old Micjagger was in biker bars,
- 21:40Speaker 2: he was downtown in clubs. He's now he's at the
- 21:43Speaker 2: French restaurant. He's at the ballet last night, that's the
- 21:46Speaker 2: spring gala, Ballet Gala. It's not the it's not the
- 21:49Speaker 2: old Mick Jagger.
- 21:50Speaker 13: That's what I wonder as these rock stars age, if
- 21:54Speaker 13: they're going to go from like Taylor Ham cheese and
- 21:57Speaker 13: egg and to Prune Danish.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 2: So I don't want to mention names. Some of these
- 22:04Speaker 2: fine new restaurants, the biggest new French restaurants in New
- 22:07Speaker 2: York are the biggest new They make a big point
- 22:10Speaker 2: of going old school, very old fashioned, which means they
- 22:13Speaker 2: come to your table with a cart. Like you order
- 22:15Speaker 2: caesar salad, they make it right at your table. That
- 22:18Speaker 2: used to be a big thing in the fifties and
- 22:20Speaker 2: the Madman days, you know, making it table side. They
- 22:23Speaker 2: would have a big bowl and I would crack the
- 22:25Speaker 2: eggs and then cut up the lettuce, and then right
- 22:28Speaker 2: in front of you they'd make the caesar salad from scratch.
- 22:31Speaker 2: When they do it now, it is the most annoying
- 22:34Speaker 2: thing in the world. You got to sit there. What
- 22:36Speaker 2: are you supposed to have to watch the guy for
- 22:37Speaker 2: ten minutes? Make a season? Just make it in the kitchen,
- 22:40Speaker 2: just bring it out. And I don't want the waiter
- 22:42Speaker 2: of the captain making it. I want the guy in
- 22:44Speaker 2: the kitchen that makes a two thousand of them a week.
- 22:46Speaker 2: He's better at it's It's some of those old traditions.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It's good they're gone. Hey, when we come back to
- 22:53Speaker 2: the Great Entertainment Reporter Roger Friedman, We've got a lot
- 22:56Speaker 2: to talk to him about. Coming up next on seven
- 22:59Speaker 2: to ten w.
- 23:00Speaker 5: R, It's more Mark Simone on sevent ten w R.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Hey, Roger Friedman, The Great Entertainment Reporter is website Showbiz
- 23:13Speaker 2: for one one dot com. Great stories there every day
- 23:17Speaker 2: Showbiz for one one dot com. Roger Friedman, how you doing.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I'm great, good morning. How are you Mark?
- 23:24Speaker 3: Good?
- 23:25Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 23:25Speaker 2: Tell us about these Rolling Stones. They're in New York
- 23:28Speaker 2: all week. Now. Mick Jagger goes to the Ballet Spring Gala.
- 23:32Speaker 2: That's not the Mick Jagger we know and love.
- 23:34Speaker 3: What's kind of.
- 23:37Speaker 14: Apparently Mick Jagger and Jimmy Fallon put on a little show.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Last night at the Ballet oh.
- 23:43Speaker 14: To raise money. Oh yeah, so they were. They were
- 23:47Speaker 14: there and this was right after they had been on
- 23:50Speaker 14: the Jimmy Fallons Tonight show, Uh, night before last, where
- 23:56Speaker 14: Mick was announcing the new Rolling Stones album. It's the
- 24:00Speaker 14: sixty second year of the Rolling Stones, Mark sixty second
- 24:03Speaker 14: book year. It's the sixty second year of the Rolling Stones.
- 24:07Speaker 14: Can you believe it.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Wow. Well, you know, in the good old they go
- 24:12Speaker 2: on the Ed Sullivan Show, sixty million people see him.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Now they're going the Jimmy Fallon Show, six hundred thousand
- 24:17Speaker 2: people see him. It's things, they're not the same anymore.
- 24:21Speaker 14: Well, whatever they did did work, because they have two
- 24:26Speaker 14: singles in the iTunes Top one top ten today, so
- 24:32Speaker 14: that's pretty good.
- 24:33Speaker 3: And I like their new song.
- 24:35Speaker 14: They have a couple of new singles out, and they'll
- 24:37Speaker 14: have a new album out July tenth, and will it
- 24:41Speaker 14: be their last album? Maybe or maybe not.
- 24:44Speaker 3: You never know.
- 24:46Speaker 14: They're not a touring group anymore because Keith Richards has
- 24:50Speaker 14: arthritis and they're not going to go from town to town,
- 24:53Speaker 14: but they're gonna still keep making records. And the records sound,
- 24:58Speaker 14: you know, they sound pretty good than most of the stuff.
- 25:01Speaker 14: They're must better than most of the things we're hearing
- 25:03Speaker 14: from contemporary.
- 25:04Speaker 2: So they sound good. But I noticed they're mixing the
- 25:07Speaker 2: levels different, so the kind of covering up Jagger's voice
- 25:10Speaker 2: a little, and uh.
- 25:11Speaker 14: Well everyone's covering up everyone's voices these days. But but
- 25:16Speaker 14: the main thing is, I think it's pretty cool that
- 25:19Speaker 14: the Rolling Stones Paul McCartney and Ringo Star all have
- 25:22Speaker 14: albums out are coming out in the next month or so.
- 25:25Speaker 14: Ringo Star Ringo has a great album out called Long
- 25:31Speaker 14: Long Road, produced by T Bone Burnette.
- 25:33Speaker 3: It's a lovely album.
- 25:35Speaker 2: By who T Bnette. You know, Yeah, he's still alive.
- 25:41Speaker 14: Barnette's a young guy. You're mixing up with somebody else. Well,
- 25:44Speaker 14: who's the other guy? I'm thinking of T some T
- 25:47Speaker 14: Bone something, T Bone Steak an old record five years ago.
- 25:53Speaker 14: Oh yeah, no, T Bone Burnette is you know, I
- 25:56Speaker 14: don't know sixty probably, I don't know how well it is.
- 25:59Speaker 13: Uh.
- 26:00Speaker 14: Anyway, you know he's married to the to Calie Corey
- 26:04Speaker 14: who wrote Thelma Lewis.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Well that's his problem anyway.
- 26:09Speaker 14: Keevembernet has done two albums now, a new one with
- 26:12Speaker 14: Ringo and one a couple of years ago called look Up.
- 26:15Speaker 14: They're really good albums. They're the best work Ringo's done
- 26:18Speaker 14: in about forty years. So, and Ringos I think he's
- 26:22Speaker 14: eighty five or eighty six. Paul McCarty's turning eighty four.
- 26:27Speaker 14: The Rolling Stones Ah has had up to one thousand
- 26:31Speaker 14: and and they're all putting out music and it's all
- 26:34Speaker 14: really good.
- 26:35Speaker 3: So I could have done a lot of credit.
- 26:36Speaker 14: You know, they keep going and this is their life
- 26:40Speaker 14: that they don't want to stop.
- 26:41Speaker 3: And they have plenty of fans.
- 26:42Speaker 14: I mean, if they're doing live shows, they they're drawing
- 26:47Speaker 14: like crazy.
- 26:49Speaker 2: But right here, on the sixth floor of iHeart, on
- 26:52Speaker 2: this very floor, you have all the top music stations
- 26:54Speaker 2: in the world. You got Z one hundred, yes, light FM,
- 26:59Speaker 2: you got Kate. Everything is up here. You can't get
- 27:03Speaker 2: They're not going to play a Rolling Stone single or
- 27:06Speaker 2: a Ringo Star single anymore.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Well I think you one or four point three?
- 27:11Speaker 14: Yeah once, Actually, yeah, they'll play it and then the
- 27:15Speaker 14: light stations will play it.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I wouldn't count on that.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 14: In fact, there's a nude today. There's a Ringo and
- 27:22Speaker 14: Paul have a single out together called Home to Us.
- 27:25Speaker 14: That's really die. So I hope I hope it gets played. Look,
- 27:29Speaker 14: everything can't be justin Bieber.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, you know, I'm moderated. I'm the other day.
- 27:35Speaker 14: There's a podcast coming out soon and I'll let you
- 27:37Speaker 14: know when it comes out. It's the history of Atlantic Records.
- 27:41Speaker 14: And uh, I moderated a panel the other night for
- 27:44Speaker 14: a podcast. Uh, and we we talked about the you know,
- 27:48Speaker 14: the real music from the real the real days of
- 27:51Speaker 14: Aretha and Ray Charles and that kind of thing. And
- 27:54Speaker 14: uh and even Eric clapped in, you know, Laila and
- 27:57Speaker 14: that kind of stuff. Allman Brothers and things are not
- 28:01Speaker 14: what they used to be.
- 28:03Speaker 2: So are you saying the Rolling Stones they'll never tour again,
- 28:05Speaker 2: there'll never be another Rolling Stones concert? Well, I think
- 28:08Speaker 2: they'll be concerts. I think there might be. I think
- 28:11Speaker 2: they might do.
- 28:11Speaker 14: Like, you know, the new trend is like Harry Styles
- 28:16Speaker 14: is going to do thirty shows at Madison Square Gardens fall,
- 28:19Speaker 14: So the new trend is to go to one place
- 28:22Speaker 14: and make people come there.
- 28:24Speaker 3: But they don't.
- 28:25Speaker 14: Some of the artists don't want to get up and
- 28:27Speaker 14: go from town to town anymore, which is going to
- 28:30Speaker 14: be hard for the smaller cities that you know, dependent
- 28:33Speaker 14: on these shows. But here in New York, we're very lucky.
- 28:37Speaker 14: We have Madison Square Garden. Everybody wants to play there.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, they found recently because you're right,
- 28:44Speaker 2: they don't want to go through the airports, the you know,
- 28:46Speaker 2: the hotels for the tour. It's rough. So they found
- 28:50Speaker 2: that if you play in New York, your fans will
- 28:52Speaker 2: actually fly here to see the concert. It's happening more
- 28:55Speaker 2: and more they fly in for a concert.
- 28:56Speaker 14: Of course, let them definitely definitely comes to New York.
- 29:01Speaker 14: I mean if it were like you know, Sheboygan, it
- 29:04Speaker 14: was different. But you know who wouldn't come to New
- 29:07Speaker 14: York for anything?
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:08Speaker 2: Hey, so I tell us about that. The Michael Jackson
- 29:11Speaker 2: movie Devilwaar's product too. How are they doing it at
- 29:13Speaker 2: the box office?
- 29:14Speaker 3: Oh, they're booming. They're both booming.
- 29:17Speaker 14: Michael Jackson just crossed two hundred million dollars. They're really
- 29:25Speaker 14: really doing well. I don't think there'll be a sequel
- 29:28Speaker 14: to the Michael Jackson movie. A lot of people want it,
- 29:30Speaker 14: but I don't think so. As I said before, it
- 29:33Speaker 14: would be called Law and Order Michael Jackson. But the
- 29:38Speaker 14: present movie is fun because of the music and the
- 29:41Speaker 14: dancing and the costumes, and it's I call it fact free.
- 29:46Speaker 14: But it doesn't seem to matter to anybody. They just
- 29:49Speaker 14: they just like sitting down and hearing the music. And
- 29:52Speaker 14: the result is that Michael Jackson has I think twelve
- 29:55Speaker 14: singles on the iTunes Top one hundred and twelve albums
- 29:59Speaker 14: on the the album chart. So it's done a huge
- 30:03Speaker 14: amount of business for the estate.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And a Broadway. How's Broadway doing.
- 30:10Speaker 14: Broadway is doing fine. The Tony nominations came out this week.
- 30:15Speaker 14: Everyone's excited about them. There are two really good comedies
- 30:18Speaker 14: that I recommend to people. You've got to see a
- 30:20Speaker 14: play called The Ballistters at Manhattan Theater Club and another
- 30:25Speaker 14: one called Becky Shaw. They're both very, very funny plays
- 30:29Speaker 14: and worth the time.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I looked at the list of the top musicals for
- 30:37Speaker 2: Best Musical the Tony Awards. Normally they're all big names
- 30:41Speaker 2: you can hear about all the I didn't even recognize
- 30:42Speaker 2: most of the names on that list.
- 30:45Speaker 14: Now because the Tony Awards don't like to give nominations
- 30:48Speaker 14: to people from Broadway from Hollywood. So all the people
- 30:51Speaker 14: who all the people who are on Broadway from Hollywood
- 30:54Speaker 14: have been mostly snubbed by the Tony Awards this year.
- 30:57Speaker 14: And this is like a typical This is traditional that
- 31:00Speaker 14: Hollywood stars come to town think they're going to get
- 31:03Speaker 14: Tony nominations and they get nothing. They do get big
- 31:06Speaker 14: box office and people want to see them, but the
- 31:09Speaker 14: Tony Awards are a little snobby and they like to
- 31:12Speaker 14: give their awards just to their own people.
- 31:15Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little annoying, but I understand, I can see.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I can see both points on that one. Both, yeah, totally.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I mean, they don't want it's like carpetbagging. They don't
- 31:24Speaker 2: want people coming into town and taking over. So they're
- 31:28Speaker 2: very provincial in that way, which is sort of amusing.
- 31:31Speaker 2: But I think they must tell Hollywood stars in advance
- 31:34Speaker 2: before they come to Broadway You're not going to get
- 31:36Speaker 2: a Tony Awards, so don't worry about it.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Well.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Well, Roger Freedman, great stuff, and everybody check out his
- 31:43Speaker 2: web page. His website is showbiz for one one dot com.

- 32:07Speaker 2: very funny, great show every night's nine to midnight. Here
- 32:10Speaker 2: on seven to ten WR.
- 32:13Speaker 1: So Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Well, hey, I need you to go follow me on Instagram.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I just lost a couple hundred followers. You might have
- 32:28Speaker 2: had the same thing. We all of a sudden, you
- 32:29Speaker 2: lost a lot of followers. It's not your fault. Instagram
- 32:32Speaker 2: has been doing a purge all week looking for bots,
- 32:37Speaker 2: fake followers. There's plenty of them out there, so they
- 32:39Speaker 2: wiped out all the bots and it can effected, so
- 32:43Speaker 2: everybody's numbers will drop a little. I just lost like
- 32:45Speaker 2: two hundred followers just this morning, So follow me on Instagram.
- 32:49Speaker 2: It's Mark Simone NYC at Instagram. Mark Simone NYC at Instagram.
- 32:56Speaker 2: More real followers. That's good. The President goes to China
- 33:02Speaker 2: next week end of the week next week. Now it's
- 33:05Speaker 2: not one hundred percent. There's quietly saying behind the scenes
- 33:09Speaker 2: it may not happen if something goes crazy, ran something,
- 33:14Speaker 2: But right now the schedule is he will go to
- 33:18Speaker 2: China next week for a couple of days. Sean Hannity
- 33:22Speaker 2: or Sean Hannity will go with him and cover the
- 33:24Speaker 2: whole thing from China. Barack Obama desperately trying to make
- 33:30Speaker 2: a comeback. He kind of vanished. Well, he was making
- 33:33Speaker 2: a fortune when he got out of office, he was
- 33:35Speaker 2: making big deals. Netflix was giving him a fortune, a
- 33:39Speaker 2: publisher was giving him a fortune, TV deals, all kinds
- 33:41Speaker 2: of deals. He went from nothing to probably eight hundred
- 33:45Speaker 2: million bucks. When you get out of office, and that's
- 33:49Speaker 2: what you're doing, making all that money, you try to
- 33:51Speaker 2: stay kind of under the radar. You do it quietly.
- 33:54Speaker 2: You don't want too much attention on you when you're
- 33:56Speaker 2: raking in all that money, especially if you're a left
- 33:58Speaker 2: wing to be a man of the people democrat. But
- 34:03Speaker 2: now he's made all the money, so now he wants
- 34:05Speaker 2: back in on the spotlight. He wants to be visible again,
- 34:08Speaker 2: well known. That's why you see him popping up on
- 34:10Speaker 2: shows and all of a sudden he's on TV. It's
- 34:13Speaker 2: just been announced he'll be doing a show with Larry David.
- 34:17Speaker 2: A series with Larry David, Obama Larry David, eight episodes HBO.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I don't know exactly what it is, but keep an
- 34:24Speaker 2: eye on that. Larry David, of course to the left
- 34:27Speaker 2: of Obama. Larry David a very very left wing guy,
- 34:33Speaker 2: one of those Martha's Vineyard Democrats that shunned Allan Dershowitz
- 34:37Speaker 2: when he represented Trump. Hey, we got a lot to
- 34:40Speaker 2: get to. In the next hour. Bruce Blakeman will be
- 34:42Speaker 2: with us, the best county executive in America, the next
- 34:45Speaker 2: governor of New York. Bruce Blakeman will be with us
- 34:47Speaker 2: in the next hour, and a whole lot we'll get
- 34:49Speaker 2: more of Don Rickles for you, and a whole lot
- 34:51Speaker 2: more coming up in the next hour. Mark Simone here
- 34:53Speaker 2: on seven to ten.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Wo Mark Simone.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Hey, it's Friday.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Not a bad day today, little rain this afternoon, but
- 35:08Speaker 2: otherwise pretty good day. Tomorrow a rainy mess. Sunday's Mother's Day.
- 35:13Speaker 2: It should be a beautiful sunny day. So we'll get
- 35:19Speaker 2: to Don Rickles coming up later this hour. It's this
- 35:20Speaker 2: hundredth birthday. We'll get to Bruce Blakeman. He'll be with us.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Got a lot of interesting things to talk to him about.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Crazy Kathy Hochel, she's starting to really fear Bruce Blakeman.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman was twenty points behind in the polls, but
- 35:37Speaker 2: he's always twenty points behind the poles whenever he starts
- 35:39Speaker 2: a race, and then he ends up winning and winning big.
- 35:42Speaker 2: So now he's about eight points behind. He's moving up
- 35:45Speaker 2: and every time he's run. This is the pattern and
- 35:48Speaker 2: he ends up winning. So she's getting terrified of him.
- 35:51Speaker 2: So she's going to the left, hoping to get the
- 35:53Speaker 2: mom Donnie crowd to help help her win. That Mom
- 35:57Speaker 2: Donnie crowd hates Ice, and they don't like enforcing our
- 36:01Speaker 2: border laws or enforcing our immigration laws. They want just
- 36:05Speaker 2: chaos on immigration, open borders, everybody comes in. So Hocho
- 36:10Speaker 2: is continuing with her, just like Mam Donnie. She's going
- 36:13Speaker 2: to go along with him. We're going to ban Ice.
- 36:15Speaker 2: We're gonna fight Ice. We're gonna do this Dice. And
- 36:17Speaker 2: Tom Holman, good for him. He's letting her know he's
- 36:21Speaker 2: going to do what he has to do no matter
- 36:23Speaker 2: what she does. And she says he's threatening her.
- 36:26Speaker 15: What Tom Holman has told me, he said, the era
- 36:29Speaker 15: of the surges is over. Backtrack on. That is a
- 36:32Speaker 15: threat to me. Trying to threaten the governor of the
- 36:34Speaker 15: state of New York. And I don't take well to threats.
- 36:40Speaker 15: I'm going to find that out.
- 36:42Speaker 2: He's threatening to enforce the law. What a terrible guy.
- 36:45Speaker 2: He's threatening to enforce the law. How dare him?
- 36:48Speaker 15: All I'll say to mister Holman is that Donald Trump
- 36:50Speaker 15: himself said he would not send a surge of ice
- 36:52Speaker 15: agents to the state of New York unless I ask.
- 36:56Speaker 15: I'm not asking.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but we'd like the law enforced. Again, Democrats never
- 37:01Speaker 2: follow the science. They don't believe in science. You can
- 37:03Speaker 2: study the science of all of this scientifically. We've run
- 37:07Speaker 2: the experiments a million times. If you have open borders,
- 37:10Speaker 2: you get total chaos. It drains you know, she's always
- 37:13Speaker 2: complaining about the budget. That's one reason we got this
- 37:15Speaker 2: budget problem. We got all these all these illegals all
- 37:19Speaker 2: over New York draining our budgets, costing us a fortune.
- 37:23Speaker 2: It raises crime, it does all that stuff. If you
- 37:25Speaker 2: close the border and force the border law to port
- 37:27Speaker 2: the criminals, you get less crime and you get a
- 37:30Speaker 2: much better budget. We've run this scientific experiment thousands of times.
- 37:36Speaker 2: But again, Democrats don't follow the science. Holman is not
- 37:39Speaker 2: worried about Hoko.
- 37:40Speaker 16: Well, Governor Hoko, I'm not asking either.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I said it.
- 37:44Speaker 16: We're going to do it. No, she wants to sign legislation.
- 37:48Speaker 16: She's apports us legislation. It's going to lock us out
- 37:51Speaker 16: of jails. It's going to end two eighty seven g agreements,
- 37:54Speaker 16: and it's going to prevent us from the rest in
- 37:56Speaker 16: a criminal aiming the safety and security of a jail.
- 37:59Speaker 16: We have partners ships in New York City, you know,
- 38:01Speaker 16: throughout the state, not everywhere, but she wants to end
- 38:04Speaker 16: the partnerships we currently have, which means now we got
- 38:07Speaker 16: to send a whole team to look for a criminal
- 38:08Speaker 16: that we could arrest in the safety and security of
- 38:10Speaker 16: a jail, which is safer for the officers, safer for
- 38:13Speaker 16: the alien, certainly safe for the community.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yeah, again, follow the science. Democrats don't believe in science.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman followed the science. He cooperates with ICE, He
- 38:21Speaker 2: lends them whatever they need help with local police use
- 38:25Speaker 2: some of their jails. What was the result, safest county
- 38:29Speaker 2: in America. Follow the science. Homan knows exactly what he's
- 38:33Speaker 2: doing here.
- 38:34Speaker 16: Since we lost the efficiencies of the jails that you
- 38:37Speaker 16: want to lock us out of, now we got to
- 38:38Speaker 16: send whole team out there to find this person. So
- 38:41Speaker 16: of course we're going to increase manpower a lot. And
- 38:44Speaker 16: not only that, she says she wants protecting migrant communities. Really,
- 38:48Speaker 16: because now we arrest in illego ailien, we can't run
- 38:52Speaker 16: a bed from any of the sheriffs in New York State.
- 38:54Speaker 2: So what were we going to do.
- 38:54Speaker 16: We're gonna arrest to illego ailing. We're going to fly
- 38:57Speaker 16: to the Texas aer zone to one of Protextas facilities there,
- 39:00Speaker 16: away from her families, wape their attorneys. This is what
- 39:03Speaker 16: we have to do because she forces in this position,
- 39:05Speaker 16: and we're going to do it. They're not going to
- 39:07Speaker 16: stop us.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Hey, remember one thing, federal law supersedes local law. Holman
- 39:13Speaker 2: actually has the authority come in and do this stuff.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Federal law always supersedes local law. Now it's going to
- 39:21Speaker 2: be a mess, and Hokle might kind of like that.
- 39:24Speaker 2: She might kind of like Homan doing all this stuff
- 39:27Speaker 2: because it upsets the crazy left wing Democrats and she's
- 39:31Speaker 2: looking at them to save her in this upcoming race
- 39:34Speaker 2: where she's gonna lose to Bruce Blakeman. But that's her
- 39:37Speaker 2: only hope getting this mom Donnie crowd to come over
- 39:40Speaker 2: and vote for her. Hey, the actor Mark Hamill, you know,
- 39:45Speaker 2: he's a Hollywood left wing guy. They're filled with hate
- 39:48Speaker 2: and anger and rage. They yell and scream about Trump.
- 39:51Speaker 2: But people never realized how low I cue the guy
- 39:54Speaker 2: he is, or how bad his judgment is till yesterday
- 39:58Speaker 2: he put all kinds of black. Yesterday it went viral.
- 40:02Speaker 2: He put up a picture of Donald Trump in a grave,
- 40:05Speaker 2: in the grave, in the graveyard. He's in the grave,
- 40:07Speaker 2: and it says, if only this is right after an
- 40:10Speaker 2: assassination attempt. So you know they're all crazy left wing,
- 40:16Speaker 2: very angry, hate filled Hollywood liberals. But sometimes you don't
- 40:20Speaker 2: realize how low their IQ is for a guy like that,
- 40:23Speaker 2: and you know it was just an assassination attempt, and
- 40:25Speaker 2: maybe I won't post this. They don't have that kind
- 40:28Speaker 2: of judgment. They're just not that bright. It's just it
- 40:33Speaker 2: still shocks people. But you know, you watch them on
- 40:36Speaker 2: the screen, but it looked great, well, it look great,
- 40:38Speaker 2: they sound great, they're brilliant. Then you find out in
- 40:40Speaker 2: real life IQ like maybe maybe maybe eighty five, maybe ninety.
- 40:46Speaker 2: So hey, if you are worried about eating eggs, people
- 40:50Speaker 2: love eggs, omelets, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs.
- 40:54Speaker 2: But you've said, better cut down on these eggs. You know, cholesterol,
- 40:58Speaker 2: heart all that. You know what, lot of people think
- 41:00Speaker 2: it's not so bad cholesterol with and brand new study
- 41:04Speaker 2: shows if you're eating eggs regularly seventeen percent lower risk
- 41:09Speaker 2: of dementia. Seventeen percent lower risk of dementia. Eating eggs
- 41:14Speaker 2: is not a bad thing necessarily. Hey, Marco Rubio met
- 41:17Speaker 2: with the Pope. He had to bring him a gift.
- 41:20Speaker 2: What would you bring the Pope as a gift? A
- 41:23Speaker 2: Trump hat? No, I don't think so. He brought a
- 41:26Speaker 2: crystal football during his Vatican visit. He said, I know
- 41:30Speaker 2: you're a baseball guy, but here's a So why do
- 41:33Speaker 2: he give him a crystal football? I don't know, but
- 41:36Speaker 2: it was the highly anticipated Vatican visit. Rubio spent approximately
- 41:40Speaker 2: two hours at the Vatican speaking with Pope Leo, also
- 41:44Speaker 2: the Vatican Secretary of State, and the Archbishop Gallagher. Meeting
- 41:49Speaker 2: took place in the Pope's private library. You know, this
- 41:52Speaker 2: pope speaks English, so a lot of people say it's
- 41:55Speaker 2: kind of eerie. You know, usually when you talk to
- 41:57Speaker 2: the Pope, he doesn't speak English. It's kind of strange
- 42:00Speaker 2: to speak to the Pope in English and he responds
- 42:02Speaker 2: in English. They're not used to it. Let me just
- 42:06Speaker 2: check youre gas prices should be down, stock market is
- 42:11Speaker 2: way up. The job's numbers were double. What was projected
- 42:15Speaker 2: double what was projected. Oil up half a half a
- 42:20Speaker 2: dollar ninety five dollars a gown, still down from where
- 42:24Speaker 2: it was a week ago, So that's pretty good.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Iran.
- 42:28Speaker 2: They'll never really be a deal, never really be a deal.
- 42:32Speaker 2: It's just some point they'll just hang on forever. It's
- 42:37Speaker 2: a lot like North Korea. They have a good negotiating
- 42:40Speaker 2: position because they don't care what the hell happens to
- 42:42Speaker 2: the country. It's just the leaders want to take care
- 42:45Speaker 2: of themselves, and you can destroy their economy, you can
- 42:49Speaker 2: shut it down. They don't care. They'll starve their people
- 42:52Speaker 2: to death, they'll kill all their people. They don't care
- 42:54Speaker 2: as long as they hold on. That was what happened
- 42:57Speaker 2: in North Korea. That's what will happen here. Gas prices
- 43:01Speaker 2: once this is over in some form, gas prices will
- 43:05Speaker 2: just plunge instantly. Now let me point out when it
- 43:07Speaker 2: comes to gas prices. You know, if you watch the
- 43:11Speaker 2: fake news, all you hear about is Trump is finished
- 43:13Speaker 2: in the midterms because of the gas prices. It was
- 43:16Speaker 2: the official position of the Biden administration. I mean official,
- 43:23Speaker 2: They didn't just say it. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. You
- 43:26Speaker 2: can see the video it's up on my Twitter. Came
- 43:29Speaker 2: out in a formal press conference and announced, quote, the
- 43:33Speaker 2: president does not control the price of gasoline. Remember, at
- 43:38Speaker 2: that time gasoline was more expensive than it is now.
- 43:41Speaker 2: We're still not even close to Biden prices. But the
- 43:44Speaker 2: official position was the president does not control the price
- 43:50Speaker 2: of gasoline. Hey, you know, they got these speed cameras everywhere,
- 43:56Speaker 2: not just in the cities, but the suburbs are getting
- 43:58Speaker 2: them all now, all over the place. They got those
- 44:00Speaker 2: speed cameras that'll take a picture of your license plate
- 44:03Speaker 2: your car and record your speed. So if you're speeding
- 44:06Speaker 2: past the speed camera, you get a ticket in the mail.
- 44:09Speaker 2: There's not much you can do about it. There's the
- 44:11Speaker 2: picture of you. It's really hard to fight. So it
- 44:15Speaker 2: brings in a lot of revenue. Now, besides the annoying
- 44:21Speaker 2: thing about getting the ticket, a lot of people are
- 44:23Speaker 2: starting to get nervous about all these speed cameras. Did
- 44:25Speaker 2: you know those speed cameras are not put up by
- 44:27Speaker 2: the government. It's not by the local No, it's a
- 44:31Speaker 2: private company, and the towns or wherever contract with this
- 44:37Speaker 2: private company. It's called Flock Safety. It's their cameras. They
- 44:42Speaker 2: put them up, they collect the information government pays them
- 44:46Speaker 2: to do it. Now, a lot of people are saying
- 44:49Speaker 2: Flock Safety is gathering too much data on everybody because
- 44:53Speaker 2: when the government gives them a contract for the speed cameras,
- 44:56Speaker 2: they put them all over the place, some for speed,
- 44:59Speaker 2: some just watching. So it's basically they're setting up a
- 45:01Speaker 2: surveillance system all over the town or all over a city,
- 45:05Speaker 2: and they're keeping track of everything you do. They're really
- 45:09Speaker 2: gathering a lot of data on people. When they photograph
- 45:14Speaker 2: your license plate, your car, they can go they have
- 45:17Speaker 2: a database where they can look up your registration, your name,
- 45:20Speaker 2: your address, who you are. And what a lot of
- 45:23Speaker 2: these companies do to make money is they sell all
- 45:25Speaker 2: the information or they use the information to learn stuff
- 45:28Speaker 2: about you. So again it's not the government, it's this
- 45:30Speaker 2: problem private company Flock Safety, gathering tons and tons and
- 45:35Speaker 2: tons of data. And it's not just that when you
- 45:38Speaker 2: drive by it triggers the speed camera. But apparently some
- 45:43Speaker 2: flock employees can view the cameras twenty four to seven
- 45:46Speaker 2: anytime they want. They can just look at the cameras,
- 45:48Speaker 2: so they can keep an eye on you, your house,
- 45:50Speaker 2: or whatever's around there. Just remember this this could become
- 45:56Speaker 2: a story, a more important story at some point. What
- 45:59Speaker 2: was safety spying on us for? What were they were
- 46:02Speaker 2: doing with the information? Interesting? Now New York Times, Crazy
- 46:08Speaker 2: New York Times. They write a big article about what
- 46:11Speaker 2: we're gonna lose when the Late Show goes away? Stephen Colbert,
- 46:16Speaker 2: New York Times, big headline, what do we lose when
- 46:18Speaker 2: the Late Show goes away? You know, really nothing? Nobody
- 46:21Speaker 2: watches it. It's a tiny audience. It's like a million people.
- 46:25Speaker 3: That's it.
- 46:26Speaker 2: The old Johnny Carson The Night Show would get nine
- 46:28Speaker 2: twelve million people on a good night, Big Night, they'd
- 46:31Speaker 2: get forty fifty million people to say, one million maybe.
- 46:35Speaker 2: But they write this whole article about the decline of
- 46:38Speaker 2: what it means to lose now watch. They're going to
- 46:40Speaker 2: replace this with a cheap show Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed.
- 46:45Speaker 2: It's a bunch of comics doing jokes. It costs nothing,
- 46:48Speaker 2: it's low budget. It'll get two or three times the
- 46:52Speaker 2: ratings of Colbert. It'll do much better than Colbert. They're
- 46:54Speaker 2: replacing with that. And also Byron Allen's got a game show.
- 46:59Speaker 2: I forget what it's called, but it's kind of a
- 47:01Speaker 2: kind of a copy of Hollywood Squares. But watch that'll
- 47:03Speaker 2: get three times the ratings of Colbert for no money
- 47:08Speaker 2: at all. Hey, it's Don rickles one hundredth birthday. We've
- 47:11Speaker 2: been taking a look back at Don Rickles all this morning.
- 47:16Speaker 2: It's incredible guy. He was a great guy, regular guest
- 47:19Speaker 2: on this show. Now, over the years, I used to
- 47:21Speaker 2: be on in the afternoons WNW afternoons we'd do it live.
- 47:27Speaker 2: But since coming to WR, I've been on in the mornings.
- 47:31Speaker 2: So ten o'clock in the morning here, that's seven o'clock
- 47:33Speaker 2: in the morning in California. So, to be honest, many
- 47:37Speaker 2: times he was on this show. If he wasn't in
- 47:39Speaker 2: New York, we'd pre record it because you can't get
- 47:42Speaker 2: up at seven in the morning, so we'd pre record it.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Now here's what it sounded like when I would call him.
- 47:47Speaker 2: So I'm calling him on the phone so we can
- 47:49Speaker 2: pre record the interview. Listen to when listen to when
- 47:52Speaker 2: he answers, Hello, Hey, it's Mark Simone.
- 47:56Speaker 8: What is it you want? Well, we're gonna be a
- 47:59Speaker 8: life and leave me alone for christ.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna we're gonna record this interview.
- 48:02Speaker 3: We'll play it on?
- 48:04Speaker 8: Where do I go to go to? Three people in Philadelphia?
- 48:08Speaker 8: Hang On? Sounds like so I'm not just dead?
- 48:11Speaker 3: So get over?
- 48:12Speaker 1: Try to get over?
- 48:13Speaker 2: Well, hang on one today and I'll start. He was
- 48:15Speaker 2: such a funny guy. Uh, let me find one more clip?
- 48:19Speaker 2: Uh Don Rickles on the show a few years ago. Well,
- 48:24Speaker 2: I love Bob Newhart, But who was going to give
- 48:26Speaker 2: you more lesson?
- 48:26Speaker 9: Oh?
- 48:26Speaker 3: Wait, Ron?
- 48:27Speaker 2: Clip right?
- 48:28Speaker 9: This one?
- 48:28Speaker 2: We'll talk with Don Rickles me. I've never asked you
- 48:30Speaker 2: this before. If you were not allowed to be in
- 48:32Speaker 2: show business, what would you be doing for a living?
- 48:35Speaker 13: Well?
- 48:36Speaker 8: This has I know you're gonna push your chair away
- 48:38Speaker 8: when I tell you. If I had the education, which
- 48:41Speaker 8: I never had. In other words, I went to high school.
- 48:43Speaker 8: But yeah, I always got to struggle with education in
- 48:46Speaker 8: the service. Right, But if I had the education, I
- 48:48Speaker 8: would have loved to have been a psychiatrist.
- 48:50Speaker 3: You're kidding?
- 48:52Speaker 8: I need to say that. Yeah, Well, because you know,
- 48:55Speaker 8: because in my work it is a form of psychiatry.
- 48:58Speaker 13: I have.
- 48:58Speaker 8: I have a second with people, and I know when
- 49:02Speaker 8: I'm talking to somebody, I can read them pretty good.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Pretty good, you read them better than anybody.
- 49:07Speaker 8: Well, thank you, But It's been something since I was
- 49:10Speaker 8: a very young man, and I've gone along with it
- 49:12Speaker 8: because people used to say, you know, well, I'm still do.
- 49:15Speaker 8: They say, oh, the guy's gonna insult you, but he's mean.
- 49:18Speaker 8: That's not true. Otherwise I wouldn't be headlining all these years.
- 49:22Speaker 8: What I do is I exaggerate everything, and and I'm
- 49:26Speaker 8: not mean spirited, and I don't really do a joke
- 49:29Speaker 8: per se. I do a situation that becomes a joke,
- 49:31Speaker 8: and the whole idea is to exaggerate all our insecurities.
- 49:35Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but you look at the guy. You know what
- 49:37Speaker 2: he does for a living. You know whether he's married.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I mean, you sent you can figure out fIF. You're
- 49:41Speaker 2: like an X ray machine. You're like sonar radar.
- 49:43Speaker 8: Well, thank you, Mark. You know no, I'm in a
- 49:45Speaker 8: channel get you know.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Yeah, But you know, a psychiatrist, they usually they take
- 49:49Speaker 2: five years and then they still haven't cured your problem.
- 49:51Speaker 8: And well that's why I'm working them around in Westbury.
- 49:56Speaker 2: But great to hunt Wrickles one hundred years old today
- 50:00Speaker 2: and we really really really miss him, so uh hey,
- 50:03Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. Bruce Blakeman will be with
- 50:05Speaker 2: us in a few minutes. We'll take some calls. Next
- 50:07Speaker 2: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. That's the number.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Own show on WOI.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 50:22Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 50:25Speaker 2: Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing?
- 50:28Speaker 17: Hey, Mark car you Chris, excuse me? I got a
- 50:31Speaker 17: cold when you talk about that flock system if I
- 50:35Speaker 17: had been an elected sheriff in my county.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Yeah, flo system is the speed cameras. It's owned by
- 50:40Speaker 2: a private company.
- 50:41Speaker 17: Well, we don't we don't use it. We don't have
- 50:43Speaker 17: speed cameras in the South. I think they're unconstitutional. But
- 50:47Speaker 17: the thing is, the flock system is wonderful.
- 50:49Speaker 9: It really is.
- 50:50Speaker 17: If you have a homicide suspect across the country and
- 50:55Speaker 17: he hits that camera or suspended license or any anybody
- 51:01Speaker 17: that you're looking for, and you put in that plate number,
- 51:04Speaker 17: it hits in that flock system. My son has gotten
- 51:07Speaker 17: many many felonies out of that system. But when you're
- 51:11Speaker 17: turning about watching your house, I don't understand that. Because
- 51:14Speaker 17: the cameras are strategically placed on high high traffic areas.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but what the argument is People thought that speed
- 51:23Speaker 2: cameras are run by the government. It's a private company does.
- 51:26Speaker 8: It for the No, Yeah, that's true.
- 51:28Speaker 2: But the private company apparently is collecting tons of data
- 51:31Speaker 2: on everybody.
- 51:32Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 17: See, I've never heard that, but I do you know personally,
- 51:36Speaker 17: it may be a different system.
- 51:38Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 51:38Speaker 17: But down South, like I said, we don't have red
- 51:42Speaker 17: light cameras. We don't have speed cameras at all.
- 51:44Speaker 9: But they do.
- 51:46Speaker 17: What they do is they watch and suspended plays, homicide suspects,
- 51:50Speaker 17: things like that. We can really zero in on them
- 51:53Speaker 17: and it is a wonderful system. But that's all it
- 51:56Speaker 17: does down here is just read license plates and then
- 51:59Speaker 17: they'll do very very quickly. In fact, NYPD has them
- 52:02Speaker 17: back on their cars their boxes. I don't know if
- 52:05Speaker 17: they've updated the technology or not, but they use the
- 52:09Speaker 17: same system. But they're just reading license plates and when
- 52:12Speaker 17: they get hits, they go ahead and make a traffic
- 52:14Speaker 17: stop and a lot of times they're getting a lot
- 52:16Speaker 17: of suspects out of this.
- 52:17Speaker 2: All right, great stuff, Thanks for Colin Stewart. Let's go
- 52:20Speaker 2: to Frank in Sunset Park. Frank how you doing, hey, Mark?
- 52:25Speaker 9: Hey, listen. I love all the interviews with Don Rickles,
- 52:28Speaker 9: and love the old stories about Frank Sinatra and Johnny Carson.
- 52:31Speaker 9: I know you helped out with that Johnny Carson book.
- 52:33Speaker 9: Do you ever think about writing a book about all
- 52:35Speaker 9: your celebrity encounters and interviews?
- 52:37Speaker 2: I love your Well, I've actually had many book offers,
- 52:39Speaker 2: and this has been going on for years, and the
- 52:42Speaker 2: problem is you got to write the book. And every
- 52:43Speaker 2: time I sit down to write, I don't know how
- 52:45Speaker 2: a writer does it. I can't do it. I make
- 52:47Speaker 2: a few notes. Yeah, I got like eight book deals
- 52:49Speaker 2: going through the years, and I've never been able to
- 52:52Speaker 2: force myself to just sit there and write out this book.
- 52:54Speaker 9: But well, I'd love to read it if you ever
- 52:57Speaker 9: came up. We've got some so many great stories. Really
- 52:59Speaker 9: enjoy hearing them. All.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Right, I'll get to it. I'll get to it a
- 53:04Speaker 2: couple of people. Let me just dictate it. Yeah, but
- 53:08Speaker 2: then you look at the dictation. It's all screwed up
- 53:10Speaker 2: and it takes hours to correct it and get it
- 53:11Speaker 2: back into shape. Well, let's go to rich in Myrtle Beach.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Rich How you doing, Hey?
- 53:16Speaker 9: Thanks? Mark? I had the same idea. You know, you
- 53:19Speaker 9: need a ghost writer to do it for us. You
- 53:20Speaker 9: don't have to sit at the typewrite and do it.
- 53:22Speaker 9: Every time we turn on Fox News, there is another
- 53:24Speaker 9: house showing another book. I don't know how these guys
- 53:26Speaker 9: have a life between all the work on TV and
- 53:28Speaker 9: showing these books and writing two books a week. I
- 53:30Speaker 9: don't know how they do it now. My wife and
- 53:32Speaker 9: I used to see Don Wickles open for a Sinatra
- 53:34Speaker 9: back in the late eighties and early nineties. It was
- 53:37Speaker 9: really such a great pair to watch those guys work together.
- 53:40Speaker 9: You know, you're talking about ice in New York State.
- 53:42Speaker 9: You know my buddy detective Bob out in San Diego,
- 53:45Speaker 9: he was a New York City detective for many, many years,
- 53:48Speaker 9: and he listened to you all the way back to
- 53:49Speaker 9: the Jay Diamond days and stuff. He said, he's watching
- 53:52Speaker 9: a lot of these landscape a cruise in San Diego.
- 53:54Speaker 9: San Diego go from six to seven people down to
- 53:57Speaker 9: two and three people as they come around and round
- 53:59Speaker 9: them up and take them.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Ady know, yeah, I listen. We say, well, they're doing
- 54:03Speaker 2: the jobs Americans won't to Americans always did those jobs
- 54:06Speaker 2: for a million years. They just won't do them for
- 54:08Speaker 2: a one third the normal price. That's the that's the
- 54:10Speaker 2: real preference. But thanks for calling. Let's go, let's go
- 54:14Speaker 2: to uh Vincent and Brooklyn Vincent.
- 54:17Speaker 11: How you doing, Good morning, Mack Mack. I'm okay.
- 54:20Speaker 5: Remember if anybody wants uh not have your license plate.
- 54:25Speaker 2: No, no, no, don't say that on the air. Don't
- 54:27Speaker 2: say it on the You know what I'm talking You
- 54:28Speaker 2: said it once and apparently it works. It's true. Everybody
- 54:31Speaker 2: in the call.
- 54:32Speaker 5: It works really really well.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Everybody in the NYPD called me and said, don't put
- 54:37Speaker 2: that on the air every again.
- 54:38Speaker 11: Okay, well, hey, let me ask you. I'll put this
- 54:41Speaker 11: on the air mark. I'm glad that the Trump administration
- 54:46Speaker 11: and our great military, the Navy in particular, are starting
- 54:51Speaker 11: to take out these mosquito boats because this is a
- 54:54Speaker 11: true story. Uh about forty years ago, my brother and
- 54:59Speaker 11: I we're going to a restricted area. On the nautical
- 55:04Speaker 11: map on the on the chart now you use for
- 55:07Speaker 11: navigation coming out of Raridon Bay, there's this extremely long
- 55:14Speaker 11: pier and around the edges of it, it says on
- 55:18Speaker 11: the map on the chart it says restrict.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Do we lose visit?
- 55:26Speaker 5: We say we said, well, let's go see what's in
- 55:29Speaker 5: this restricted area. So we drive the boat over there,
- 55:34Speaker 5: and before we get i'd say, we'rein a quarter of
- 55:38Speaker 5: a mile of this restricted area. The coast Guard comes
- 55:42Speaker 5: upon us and one of the guys on the coast
- 55:45Speaker 5: Guard boat says, hey, guys, you got to get the
- 55:48Speaker 5: hell out of here. And I said why he said,
- 55:52Speaker 5: And then you could at the end of the pier
- 55:55Speaker 5: you could see it. It's where they docked the submarines.
- 55:58Speaker 5: And everything I'm saying is when these mosquito boats are
- 56:03Speaker 5: coming at these tankers and other commercial ships, and even
- 56:07Speaker 5: at our naval ships. Due to all the technology we have,
- 56:12Speaker 5: we can easily see from which ports these boats.
- 56:16Speaker 2: They've been doing that. When one comes out, we stop
- 56:18Speaker 2: it and then we blow.
- 56:19Speaker 5: Up before exactly because they can't op they can't operate
- 56:24Speaker 5: from everywhere. It's not like a bass boat where you
- 56:27Speaker 5: could pull up with a trailer and just put it
- 56:30Speaker 5: in the water and go after a destroyer or something
- 56:34Speaker 5: like that. Also, because they got the machine gun on
- 56:38Speaker 5: the front of the boat, the fifty caliber, you could
- 56:40Speaker 5: pick that up on the radar. These boats that they're
- 56:43Speaker 5: using look like twenty five twenty nine foot either make
- 56:48Speaker 5: those or ocean masters with a nine or eleven foot beam.
- 56:52Speaker 5: That's the way. With the set of console and the
- 56:55Speaker 5: de top. Doesn't they easy to pick up?
- 56:57Speaker 2: Ut they've taken out every boat that's come at him.
- 57:00Speaker 5: Good. They gotta kill it, they gotta kick well.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Vincent, we got to go because we've got to do
- 57:03Speaker 2: the news. Great call. Thanks for calling. When we come back.
- 57:05Speaker 2: The best county executive in America, the next governor of
- 57:08Speaker 2: New York, Bruce Blakeman, will be with us next on
- 57:11Speaker 2: seven to ten.
- 57:12Speaker 1: W R Mister New York marcelone w.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman the best county executive in America. That's
- 57:22Speaker 2: really being a governor of a county. And he's would
- 57:25Speaker 2: be the best governor for New York.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Uh.
- 57:27Speaker 2: He's running against Kathy Hochel. He's gonna win. He'll be
- 57:30Speaker 2: the next governor in York. But he needs your help,
- 57:32Speaker 2: very important. You go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. You can donate,
- 57:36Speaker 2: you can volunteer, but do what you can. Go to
- 57:39Speaker 2: Blakeman for New York dot com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing.
- 57:45Speaker 9: We're doing great, Mark. We've had a very very great
- 57:49Speaker 9: couple of weeks. We're building tremendous momentum. We are going
- 57:53Speaker 9: to win because people throughout New York are miserable. Under
- 57:57Speaker 9: Kathy hochel Uh. We have highest taxes, are utility rates
- 58:02Speaker 9: are seventy percent higher than the national average, all directly
- 58:06Speaker 9: attributal to Kathy Hoko. We are at the bottom of
- 58:11Speaker 9: economic development. We're forty one out of fifty states. Mark,
- 58:14Speaker 9: can you imagine the one Great Empire state is forty
- 58:19Speaker 9: one out of fifty states and economic development, We've got
- 58:23Speaker 9: to create jobs for our young people, good paying jobs
- 58:25Speaker 9: with good benefits. We've got to get the economy going.
- 58:29Speaker 9: That's how you make it more affordable. You've got to
- 58:32Speaker 9: cut utility rates, cut taxes, put more money in people's pockets,
- 58:36Speaker 9: and they'll spend it the way they want to spend it,
- 58:38Speaker 9: not the way government tells them to spend it. And
- 58:40Speaker 9: we got to stop spending all this money, billions of
- 58:43Speaker 9: dollars on illegal migrants who've been here for fifteen minutes.
- 58:47Speaker 9: They're not and we're giving them free cell phones, free food,
- 58:52Speaker 9: free transportation, free housing, and New Yorkers get the bill
- 58:56Speaker 9: for that. Why are we spending hard earned tax fair
- 59:00Speaker 9: dollars on people who just by virtue of the fact
- 59:04Speaker 9: that they come here. Because now we've become a migrant,
- 59:07Speaker 9: we've become a magnet rather for I legal migrants. Why
- 59:10Speaker 9: should we be paying them all of these benefits with
- 59:14Speaker 9: New Yorkers money? And we think meet things in New
- 59:17Speaker 9: York like tax relief, like lower utilities, like investment in schools, hospitals, infrastructure.
- 59:23Speaker 9: It's just obscene what Kathy Hoko is doing with their
- 59:27Speaker 9: buddy Zora and Mandami, that the two of them are
- 59:30Speaker 9: going to tax us and spend us into bankruptcy.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to give these two credit though for
- 59:36Speaker 2: a hutzput. The Democrats have run all in New York
- 59:39Speaker 2: State for thirteen years, the legislature, both houses, the governors
- 59:43Speaker 2: or the mayor Democrats, and then they complain about the
- 59:46Speaker 2: affordability crisis that they create.
- 59:49Speaker 9: Created it. They created it. When Kathy Hocke said in
- 59:54Speaker 9: her State of the State message that we're not affordable
- 59:58Speaker 9: here in New York and she's going to be fixing it.
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: What have you done for the last four and a
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: half years. What have you done? The answer is nothing.
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: She hasn't done anything to make it more affordable. She's
- 1:00:12Speaker 9: made it less affordable by increasing taxes, by engaging in
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: this green energy scam where basically we're taking billions of
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: dollars of the rate payers money and we're using it
- 1:00:22Speaker 9: on science projects for green energy that produce very little energy.
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: It's very costly. We're sitting on one of the largest
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: natural gas reserves in the world and she won't let
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: us drill that. And it's the same reserve that they
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: have over the border in Pennsylvania. We're buying gas from Pennsylvania.
- 1:00:42Speaker 9: It's insane what she is doing. She has no management skills.
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: And look what happened yesterday. She said she had a
- 1:00:49Speaker 9: budget deal and the speaker said, no, we don't. She's lying.
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: So I mean, it's just complete inept and it's just
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic for
- 1:01:03Speaker 9: the people in New York that the incompetence that we
- 1:01:06Speaker 9: have in Albany.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Well, that's why you got to go to blakemanfro dot com.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Contribute Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. Hey, now she's starting a whole
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: new war with Tom Holman. Explain what you did in
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Nasau County with ice. This is how you make it
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: work what you did.
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: So, we had a comprehensive agreement with ICE, probably the
- 1:01:24Speaker 9: most comprehensive, with our police department, our sheriff's department, and
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: as a result, by cooperating, we rounded up two thousand
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: illegal migrants with criminal records and had them deported, people
- 1:01:39Speaker 9: who had committed attempted murder, rape, burglary, robbery, drug dealing,
- 1:01:46Speaker 9: gang activity. And we got them out of the state,
- 1:01:50Speaker 9: out of the region, out of my county. And she
- 1:01:53Speaker 9: would like them to still be here praying on the
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: residents of our state. And by the way, Mark, we
- 1:01:59Speaker 9: did it without raiding a school, without raiding a church,
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: without rating a daycare center, a hospital. We did it
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: in cooperation with us, so we had control over the
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: process and as a result, we have the safest county
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: in America according to the US News and World Report.
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: That's what I want to do for the rest of
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: to stay.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, this is crazy, mom, Donnie. We had these
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: rioters in front of the Parky Synagogue terrorizing Jewish people there.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: They called them protested, but they were rioting. They were
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: clashing with the police. It went on for hours. What
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: would you have done in that case?
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: Well, first, of all, I would send a very strong
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: message to Zehron Mundami that if he can't keep our
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: community safe, if he can't keep religious institutions safe, if
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: he can't stop anti semitism, racism, or any other kind
- 1:02:51Speaker 9: of hate activity, that as governor, I will I will
- 1:02:55Speaker 9: send my own forces to deal with it, and I
- 1:02:59Speaker 9: will make sure every community, every house of worship is
- 1:03:03Speaker 9: safe and that there's no harassment, no violence, no occupying buildings.
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: He actually encourages this. I don't know why he's so
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: anti semitic, and he is because he doesn't criticize any
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: other country in the world but Israel. He changed the
- 1:03:19Speaker 9: definition of anti semitism as one of his first access mayor.
- 1:03:23Speaker 9: Why was that the most important thing to do when
- 1:03:27Speaker 9: you're mayor and your city is bleeding billions of dollars
- 1:03:31Speaker 9: because you spend it on crazy programs that don't benefit anybody.
- 1:03:35Speaker 9: You have so much fraud, waste, and abuse, and all
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: he wants to do is raise taxes. So the guy
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: is doing a terrible job, and the state and the
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: city need me to come in and save our state
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: and save our city from Hkalen Mondami.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Yeah, ask governor, how much can you do about Texas.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: You got to fight this crazy legislator, the legislature.
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: Well, I'll just veto any tax bill they send me.
- 1:04:02Speaker 9: I'm not going to let them institute an estate tax,
- 1:04:07Speaker 9: what I call a guest tax on people who have
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: assets over seven hundred and fifty thousand when they die.
- 1:04:14Speaker 9: That that gets an additional tax, so that small businesses
- 1:04:18Speaker 9: will have to be sold to pay the taxes, so
- 1:04:20Speaker 9: family residents will have to be sold to pay the taxes.
- 1:04:23Speaker 9: That's something that is totally unacceptable to me. I will
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: not let it happen as governor. And that's what Kathy
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: hoaklands around Mandami want to do. They want to steal
- 1:04:35Speaker 9: all of your hard earned assets so you can't leave
- 1:04:38Speaker 9: it to your kids and your grandkids. It's disgraceful.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that pier the tear tax has got to be
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: the dumbest thing in the world. And if you look
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: at the numbers, it only brings in a couple hundred million.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Why even bother it's such an annoying, little stupid tax.
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: Well, listen, it's crazy because what you want is you
- 1:04:58Speaker 9: want to attract high net worth individuals to your state,
- 1:05:02Speaker 9: to your city because they pay most of the taxes.
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: When they leave, the taxes have to be paid by somebody,
- 1:05:11Speaker 9: and it's going to fall as a burden on middle
- 1:05:13Speaker 9: class people. So we don't want that to happen. Number one.
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: Number two, rich people have options. If they're going to
- 1:05:20Speaker 9: have a vacation home, they can have it in New
- 1:05:22Speaker 9: York City. If they're driven out in New York City,
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: they'll have it in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dallas, Texas, boker Ton, Florida, Miami, Charleston,
- 1:05:34Speaker 9: South Carolina. They have options that middle class people don't have,
- 1:05:37Speaker 9: and mark when they leave, they take valuable jobs, and
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: they take valuable business away. Think of the carpenters, the electricians,
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: the plumbers, the waiters, the waitresses, the cleaning services, the
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: dog walkers, the local pharmacy, the local tavern. They're all
- 1:05:55Speaker 9: going to suffer. So instead of driving people out who
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: create jobs and who pay the burden, the biggest burden
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: of the taxes, I want to encourage them to come
- 1:06:05Speaker 9: to New York and live in New York and have
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: their second home in New York and create economic activity
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: so we'll have better jobs for our people in lower
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: taxes and lower utility rates. Yeah.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Now, You're not like other candidates local Mom, Donnie. All
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: these people that run have really no experience running anything.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: You've been the county executive of a major county. That's
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: basically the same job as a governor. See, you would
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: be the only one going into that office with actual
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: skills ready to go.
- 1:06:33Speaker 9: Well, you know, Mark, my county is larger than eight
- 1:06:36Speaker 9: states in population. I won reelection in the county with
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: one hundred and ten thousand more Democrats in a landslide.
- 1:06:43Speaker 9: I won by thirty six thousand votes. People like what
- 1:06:48Speaker 9: I've done. I've made us the safest county in America,
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: according to the US News and World Report. I have
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: not raised taxes one penny one penny in the last
- 1:07:00Speaker 9: four years that I've been county executive. We've had a
- 1:07:03Speaker 9: budget surplus each year. We've gotten seven bond upgrades. Even
- 1:07:07Speaker 9: the Democrats state controllers said that our finances were in order.
- 1:07:12Speaker 9: Our finances are excellent. I run a clean operation, a
- 1:07:16Speaker 9: smart operation, and I always make every decision based on
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: two things. The taxpayer and the burden that they have,
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: and keeping their communities and their families safe. Those are
- 1:07:31Speaker 9: the most important things, and that's what I've done. In
- 1:07:34Speaker 9: my county. And that's why I went in a democratic county,
- 1:07:36Speaker 9: and that's why I will be a governor that puts
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: New Yorkers first, puts more money in your pockets, cuts
- 1:07:43Speaker 9: your utility rates in half, make safer communities, and makes
- 1:07:47Speaker 9: you happy again, not miserable like Kathy Hochel has.
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Now, the only problem she's got she's raised like thirty
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: forty million. What can people do to help you right now?
- 1:07:58Speaker 9: Go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. Make an investment in my campaign.
- 1:08:02Speaker 9: It is a wise investment because she wants to raise
- 1:08:05Speaker 9: your taxes. Your utility rates are already through the roof.
- 1:08:10Speaker 9: What do you got to lose? We've had four years
- 1:08:13Speaker 9: of Kathy Hokle. What do you got to lose? Vote
- 1:08:16Speaker 9: for me, support me, send us a check, volunteer in
- 1:08:20Speaker 9: our campaign, be part of a movement to save this state.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Yeah, very important. Well, you'd be a great governor. Everybody.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: Go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com and donate, volunteer whatever you
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: can do to help. Blakemanfrom neew York dot com. Bruce Blakeman,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: good luck. I know you're working hard on the campaign
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: and we'll talk again soon.
- 1:08:42Speaker 9: It's always an honor. Mark, Thank you so much, God
- 1:08:44Speaker 9: bless you.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Thanks for being with us.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: Take care.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Yeah, just go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Get rid of
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: that crazy Kathy Hokle and have somebody that'll put a
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: big roadblock around that wackymom Donnie. Hey, don't forget at
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: noon today it's bucking. They do an excellent show. You know. Also,
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: if you want to listen to my show ten to
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: noon every day, but you could also get the podcast
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: and that way you can listen to this show anytime
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: you want, day or night. And if you remember, if
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: you're a podcast listener, there's a bonus segment. There's an
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: extra show just for the podcast listeners every weekend. So hey,
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: and don't forget Curtis Sliwa on every morning. Here, Curtis's back.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: He's on every morning. It's Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mente
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: six to ten on seven to ten, woo mister.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: New York marsimone on wr.
- 1:09:37Speaker 17: Hey.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: You know in Virginia they rammed through this redistricting the legislature,
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: they put it the voters. They got this rammed through.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: They changed the districts they redistricted, giving Democrats a huge
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: ten to one edge. They took all the seats away
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: from Republicans, made them all Democratic seats. With the jerry mandering, well,
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: the Virginia Supreme Court just tossed it out, just overturned
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: it completely, completely tossed it out. So that's the end.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: That's a big break for Republicans. So those seats are
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: not lost. Also, it looks like Ron DeSantis in Florida,
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: we'll get his redistrict being done and he signed it
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: as the governor. That's four extra seats for Republicans now.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: The only thing with that Florida that will take place
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: after the midterm, so it will not affect the midterm election. Hey,
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: we're out of time. Hey make sure you follow me
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and especially Instagram. I
