- 0:19Hello and welcome to episode 53 of the All Systems Go sports
- 0:25Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:28I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on, everyone?
- 0:34Happy Tuesday. Another day here in the arena,
- 0:37guys. Another day where I'm missing
- 0:39Africa. Jambo Jambo Asante Sana.
- 0:41That's right. It's been a bit of a tough
- 0:43struggle and transition back to everyday life.
- 0:45But how can I complain? Because I work in a career that
- 0:48I love and I have a passion for, which is of course, sports
- 0:51betting. So still making that transition
- 0:53here, but now our second pod since I have returned from
- 0:56Africa. I posted a ton of videos and
- 0:58pictures from my Twitter account at Josh under Score Insights and
- 1:01you guys, they give me a lot of great feedback asking questions
- 1:05and getting my take on on everything.
- 1:07And I would just highly recommend you make a time in
- 1:10your life to visit Africa 'cause there's nothing like it.
- 1:12But again, questions about Kenya, Africa Safari, whatever
- 1:16it may be, I'm here for you. So aside from sports betting,
- 1:20any more Africa questions, I'm your guy.
- 1:21I'd be happy to help you. But anyway, let's turn the page.
- 1:24We do have a big Tuesday here today guys, on the 11th of June.
- 1:28I have a 5 pack of sweats for you.
- 1:30We're going to focus on Major League Baseball.
- 1:32Four MLB bets for you today, including a Juice Reel
- 1:35recommended bet from Robo Jackson, who did come through
- 1:37with a recommended bet last night, which which we overlapped
- 1:40on the Milwaukee Brewers, which was a winner last night.
- 1:42But we do have 4 bets in MLB. I got a dog who happens to be
- 1:46the best dog bet over the last two years.
- 1:47We're going to take some plus money with this team.
- 1:49I also have a a play on a couple favorites with line moves as
- 1:52well as a total. I want to start to maybe nibble
- 1:54at some totals here in Major League Baseball.
- 1:55This one caught my eye and I said I saw no reason not to take
- 1:58it. A lot of reasons to take it.
- 1:59So favorites, dogs, totals, we're going to hit on it all and
- 2:03Major League Baseball here for today.
- 2:04And then because there's no NBA and there's no NHL, there is
- 2:08some WNBA today. And I don't want to give up or
- 2:12forget or overlook. WNBAI know there's a big
- 2:13controversy right now, of course, with Caitlin Clark not
- 2:16making the Olympics. Olympics, which I get if you
- 2:19compare her to every player, maybe she isn't.
- 2:21Maybe there's no like snub or they're not a snub.
- 2:24Obviously, I feel like Clark should have made it.
- 2:26I'm not going to say that she's better than every other player
- 2:28and should have made it, but it's just a stupid move not to
- 2:31grow your sport by putting in the person who is generating the
- 2:35most clicks, revenues, eyeballs of all time.
- 2:37I just thought that was a complete oversight by the WNBA
- 2:40or by the Olympic Committee. But anyway, Speaking of WNBAI
- 2:44want to dabble in some WNBA. So I noticed a total today in
- 2:47the WNBA, which has a great rhythm, predictive edge, about a
- 2:51two or three-point edge here, which lines up with a great bet
- 2:55split as well. So we're talking MLBWNBA on a
- 2:58big episode 53 of the all systems Gopod powered by rhythm.
- 3:02Now, looking back toward yesterday, guys, wasn't the day
- 3:04I was hoping for as we returned one and 3 -, 2.1 units.
- 3:07I mentioned we got the Brewers, which was a nice dog to favour,
- 3:10pick them to fav line move and ended up beating the closing
- 3:13line pretty good there because we got Milwaukee.
- 3:15I want to say at what like -115 I think they closed like -120 so
- 3:20the Brewers came through. The frustrating ones were the
- 3:22Rays actually, I had a pretty good decent line move on Tampa
- 3:25Bay. They were tied up through much
- 3:27of the game, then imploded there with their bullpen late.
- 3:30The frustrating one too is the Royals because we beat the
- 3:32closing line pretty good on the Royals.
- 3:33Got the Royals yesterday. What was it plus 110 + 1?
- 3:38Yeah, around plus 110. They basically closed at even
- 3:40money, like plus 100 minus one O 5 S beat the closing line.
- 3:44But I guess the Yankees are just so good that they never lose.
- 3:46So couldn't get that one. And then the frustrating one,
- 3:49which would have made a two and two night in pretty much awash
- 3:51was Leon Dry Seidel over 2 1/2 shots on goal.
- 3:54He had no shots on goal in the first period.
- 3:56He had one in the second and then he had one in the third.
- 4:00So we're sitting on two only needed one more shot on goal to
- 4:03cash that over. And I distinctly remember, I
- 4:05want to say it was maybe like 5 minutes left in the game.
- 4:07I think they had pulled the goalie and Dry Seidel was kind
- 4:10of at the the the bottom dot. And there was a one timer where
- 4:13he got fed a pass. He roped A1 timer left-handed
- 4:16shot and it went like an inch wide and instead of being a shot
- 4:19on goal, it went wide and was not a shot on goal.
- 4:21So I was like, oh, if he doesn't get another shot on goal, that's
- 4:24going to be the one that loses it for us.
- 4:25But either way, guys, let's see if we can have a winning day
- 4:28here for today. Again, we're beating some
- 4:30closing lines. We're right there.
- 4:31Let's see if we can breakthrough with a winning day on episode
- 4:3353. So with that being said, let's
- 4:36get right into some Major League Baseball.
- 4:38Unlike yesterday where it was a pretty small slate only seven
- 4:41games overall. We have a full smorgasbord of
- 4:44games to choose from here, 15 games overall, and I want to
- 4:46start off with the earliest game of the night, 6:30 PM Eastern
- 4:49Time. Maybe a World Series matchup,
- 4:52who knows, Probably not, but maybe the Braves and the
- 4:55Baltimore Orioles. I notice a pretty good angle
- 4:57here, good line move and a great system match on Baltimore.
- 5:01I'm going with the OS here guys. I got Baltimore at around plus
- 5:05115 + 110. Again, you're probably shaking
- 5:07your head and scratch your head saying hey, Baltimore's plus
- 5:10money. Yes, they are because the
- 5:12because Atlanta, you would think has the pitching advantage today
- 5:15and obviously Atlanta's team to be reckoned with.
- 5:18But anyway, let's set the stage. I'll tell you why I like
- 5:19Baltimore Braves come into this 135 and 28.
- 5:22Remember Acunia tours ACL again, he's out for the year.
- 5:26But they just got swept by the nationals, which was a bit
- 5:28surprising. They're lost all three to the
- 5:30Nats fell in the series finale on Sunday, 8:00 to 5:00 as a -,
- 5:33230 Rd. favorite. Meanwhile, the OS 43 and 22,
- 5:37they just swept the Rays. I hope that wish they didn't
- 5:39sweep the Rays because I was on the Rays yesterday, but they won
- 5:42four straight. They won five to two yesterday
- 5:44as a -, 135 road favorite. So for tonight's interleague
- 5:47series opener, the Braves are going with lefty Max Freed six
- 5:52and two 2.93 ERA. The Orioles, meanwhile, are
- 5:54going with ready Albert Suarez, who's two and O with a 1.83 ERA.
- 5:59So big reason why I like Baltimore is that as soon as
- 6:02this line was available to bet as soon as it opened, all big
- 6:05money has sided with Baltimore. This game open with Atlanta -140
- 6:09Now Atlanta's down to -130 I see a couple shops closer to Atlanta
- 6:12like -125 S The line has gone away from Atlanta toward
- 6:16Baltimore. Baltimore opened getting around
- 6:19plus 120. Now they're down to plus 110.
- 6:21I may be able to shop around and find like a + 112 + 114 out
- 6:24there. Always have multiple outs so you
- 6:26can get the best number. We'll make it even.
- 6:28We'll call it a + 110 here. But the line's gone toward
- 6:30Baltimore as soon as it opened. Move toward the O's.
- 6:33The Orioles here are getting 70% of bets, but 80% of dollars.
- 6:38So basically public is agreeing with us saying, hey, which
- 6:40again, I never want to be with the public.
- 6:42And it's a little bit different when you talk baseball versus a
- 6:44sport like obviously the NFL. But 70% bets, 80% money on
- 6:48Baltimore public says, hey, O's are a good team getting plus
- 6:51money, why not take them? But here's the thing, I don't
- 6:54think you just want to blindly go contrarian every time.
- 6:56You want to not only bet against the public ideally, but be with
- 6:59more importantly, the sharp action, the smart money.
- 7:02So if there's a Wall Street trader out there who sees Warren
- 7:05Buffett buying a stock, that's smart money.
- 7:07You want to be on that same stock that Warren Buffett is
- 7:09buying. If Warren Buffett is dumping a
- 7:10stock, you want to dump that stock too.
- 7:12So anyway, being on the sharp side of every bet is what we
- 7:15always want to do. And the fact that this line's
- 7:17going toward Baltimore tells me smart money, not just the
- 7:19public, but wiseguy money, is also on the O's.
- 7:22Now I'm going to lean on Baltimore's offense.
- 7:24The O's are hitting 250 this year, 104 home runs, 336 runs
- 7:29scored. Atlanta is only hitting 244 with
- 7:3265 homers and 279 runs scored. Orioles, meanwhile, here's the
- 7:36the key stat here if you want to back Baltimore with me.
- 7:38Not just that, the Lions moving in their favor, but did you know
- 7:42the Orioles are 50 and 38, 57% with a 24% ROI as a dog since
- 7:48the start of last season. So that makes them the best dog
- 7:52team in Major League Baseball. If you're cashing 57% as a dog
- 7:55with all that plus money, you are really generating a good
- 7:57profit there. Home Rd. splits.
- 7:59Atlanta is dead even on the road, 16 and 16.
- 8:02Baltimore is 21 and 12 at home. They've been a really good home
- 8:04team. Orioles over the last 10 games
- 8:07are seven and three. They're hitting 274.
- 8:09Team ERA of 2.35 Braves last 10 games, they're four and six
- 8:13hitting only two O 9 with a 4.81 ERA.
- 8:16So if you're giving me Baltimore with a line move in their favor
- 8:20with better bats here playing better as of late and that
- 8:24Orioles as a dog system match, I got to take it.
- 8:26So I'm going to start my night here hopefully with the winner.
- 8:29I'm on Baltimore at plus 110 and also mention Juice reel.
- 8:33If you haven't done it yet, go sign up for Juice reel as I keep
- 8:35mentioning each day, because Juice Reel is a partner of mine
- 8:39or I'm a partner of Juice real. However, however you want to
- 8:41look at it, but it's an app that I think can help you win, not
- 8:44only syncing your sports books to the app and tracking your
- 8:47performance, learning about your strengths and weaknesses,
- 8:49arbitrage bets as well as sharp mush bets.
- 8:52The bets where basically you have a majority of wise guys and
- 8:56you're going against a majority of quote UN quote square
- 8:58bettors. But anyway, one of the two bets
- 9:01recommended from Robo Jackson today.
- 9:03One of them is Baltimore, so that overlaps with our line
- 9:06movement system match on the OS. So let's go OS plus 110.
- 9:10Keep on cruising. 7:10 PM Eastern Time, first pitch, Miami
- 9:13and the New York Mets, Marlins and Mets.
- 9:15I'm going to go with the Mets here.
- 9:18Give me the Mets. I'm laying it.
- 9:19I got the Mets at around -140 -, 145.
- 9:23Now setting the stage here, Marlins are 22 and 43.
- 9:26They have lost six of their last seven, though, just dropped two
- 9:28or three against the Guardians. They lost the finale on Sunday,
- 9:316:00 to 3:00 as a plus one O 5 home dog.
- 9:33The flip side, the Mets still struggling a bit.
- 9:35They're 28 and 36. They have won six of their last
- 9:38nine. They split A2 game series over
- 9:41the pond in London. They won Sunday's finale six to
- 9:44five as a + 120 neutral sight dog pitching matchup tonight
- 9:47hopefully favors the Mets because the Marlins are going
- 9:50with lefty Jesus Lizardo, who's two and five with a 5.3 OERA.
- 9:54Meanwhile, the Mets are going with Tyler me Gill, the righty
- 9:57one and two with an ERA of three.
- 10:00Now this is just kind of a standard sharp move to the Mets.
- 10:02The Mets opened at around -130 now they're up to -140 -, 145.
- 10:07I see one, but closer to -150. So pretty much as soon as this
- 10:10line open, boom, it's been all Mets money causing this
- 10:13adjustment in favor of New York. Now the Mets are getting 84% of
- 10:17bets, 88% of dollars. So both a pro and Joe bets
- 10:20split. Both the public and sharps seem
- 10:23to be on the Mets here. Mets have the better offense.
- 10:25They're hitting 24269 bombs, 280 runs scored.
- 10:29Miami is hitting 234, 52 homers, 233 runs scored.
- 10:34And again, I always like to layer in a system match because
- 10:36it gives me more confidence in a bet.
- 10:38But system match here with the Mets would be both teams have
- 10:40the day off the previous day. Take the favorite.
- 10:43Very simple, but it's 490 and two 9962% with a 3% ROI since
- 10:49the start of 2020. So big sample size.
- 10:51Again, you're not a millionaire play in the system, but 3% ROI,
- 10:54you can't argue with that. That does match here with the
- 10:57Mets and Mets also have some correlative betting value.
- 11:00So I always joke about or talk about, you know, dog high total.
- 11:03Well, this is a favorite. Low total.
- 11:04Total in this one is 7 1/2. A little bit juiced under few
- 11:08amount of expected runs scored, more likely to come from quote
- 11:10UN quote the better team. So I'm going with the Mets.
- 11:13I got the Mets at home against Miami.
- 11:15I'm on the Metropolitans at -145 keep on cruising.
- 11:19I told you I wanted to layer in some totals here because I'm
- 11:22kicking myself because whenever I write the sharp report for
- 11:24vc.com, I'll always mention a total that catches my eye.
- 11:27So like yesterday, I lost, of course, Tampa Bay with plus
- 11:31money. But I kept mentioning, I
- 11:33mentioned it in the sharper board and on the pod how that
- 11:35under 7 1/2 was looking pretty good, pretty sharp.
- 11:38It actually ended up closing at 7.
- 11:40It landed on 7. If I jumped on the seven and a
- 11:42half under, I would have cashed. So I don't want to let some of
- 11:45these opportunities pass us by. I want to incorporate it maybe a
- 11:47total or two each day. But I'm going to look at this
- 11:50Pittsburgh, Saint Louis total, and I'm going under 7 1/2
- 11:54Pirates and the Cardinals, 7:45 PM Eastern Time, first pitch.
- 11:58Now cold reasons like this under First off is the fact that every
- 12:03book you look at is what I like to call painted.
- 12:05It's a term that my buddy Patrick Maher at Beeson taught
- 12:08me. But painted means every book you
- 12:10look at on your live odds page. So you have all these different
- 12:12books, all these different numbers side by side with the
- 12:14current odds. They're all juiced up under,
- 12:17painted under. So they're all 7 1/2 under -115
- 12:21-, 120 SU, one book -125 S. The fact that every book is
- 12:25juicing up under tells us liabilities here to the under,
- 12:28maybe even falls down to seven. So I took the under 7 1/2.
- 12:31That was the first indicator to me that this could be a smart
- 12:33plate to take the under. Then I looked at the bet splits
- 12:37from DraftKings and it is a really good bet split to the
- 12:39under. Only 42% of bets are taking this
- 12:42Pirates Cardinals under, but it accounts for 67% of the money.
- 12:47So that is a huge 25% discrepancy.
- 12:49Low bets, higher dollars, as I like to call it, telling us that
- 12:52even though less than half the tickets are on the under, 2/3 of
- 12:56the money is on the under. So tells me smart money here is
- 12:58going under pitching matchup. Paul Skeens, the rookie phenom
- 13:02here, 3 and OERE of three. He'll be opposed by miles
- 13:05Michaelis 4 and 6 ERA of 5.32. But I believe Michaelis is
- 13:09giving up three-year runs or less than his last three.
- 13:11So hopefully pitches well tonight and we get a three to
- 13:13two game, A2 nothing game, a four to one game, something like
- 13:16that, a five to two game. I'll take that.
- 13:18But also the fact that these are two of your, you know, I don't
- 13:21want to jinx them, but two of your lesser performing offenses
- 13:24on the year, Saint Louis is hitting 235, Pittsburgh is
- 13:28hitting 231. So Saint Louis is 18th.
- 13:30And batting average, Pittsburgh is 23rd.
- 13:33Also, both teams were off yesterday.
- 13:35So the fact that they were off means that they had an extra day
- 13:37of rest, which is important because if you go to the
- 13:39bullpen, hopefully your better arms are rested and ready to go.
- 13:43But juiced up under, great bet split, decent pitching matchup,
- 13:46light bats, hopefully rested. Both were off yesterday.
- 13:49I'm going to take a shot on Pittsburgh, Saint Louis under 7
- 13:531/2 and I got that at -115 last bet of the night here in Major
- 13:57League Baseball. Let's go to the West Coast,
- 13:59Oakland visiting San Diego now. I'm going to go with San Diego
- 14:04here. I got the Padres at around -155
- 14:07-, 160. But I'll tell you why I like the
- 14:08San Diego Padres tonight. First off, pods dead even now,
- 14:1235 and 35. They won last night's opener six
- 14:14to one as a -, 230 home favorite.
- 14:17Tonight's rematch, the A's, who are 26 and 42, they're going to
- 14:20go with JP Sears, the lefty. He's four and five with a 3.93
- 14:24ERA. Padres meanwhile are going with
- 14:26Randy Vasquez, who's one and three with a 5.4 OE, right.
- 14:30But similar to the Mets move, same thing here with San Diego.
- 14:33Home favorite with a little with a little bit of steam.
- 14:35That's what I like about San Diego.
- 14:37San Diego actually open this game around -150 now they're up
- 14:40to around -160 some books even. I see a -, 165 out there.
- 14:44So pretty one sided movement in favor of San Diego.
- 14:47Padres. Meanwhile, getting around 80% of
- 14:49bets in dollars. So majority of both public and
- 14:51sharp support in their favor. We like to call pro and Joe bet
- 14:54split. We have majority of bets and
- 14:56dollars on the same side that again, the important thing is
- 14:58not just same side, but they coincide with the direction of
- 15:01the line move. So pro and Joe San Diego and the
- 15:03move is toward San Diego. But anyway, once again, better
- 15:07offense here hopefully comes through San Diego.
- 15:10They're hitting 262. They've scored 316 runs.
- 15:14The Athletics are hitting 2/19 with only 243 runs scored.
- 15:18System match for San Diego would be an interleague home favorite
- 15:21off a win. Interleague play, lack of
- 15:23familiarity, benefits quote UN quote the better team.
- 15:25But interleague favorite at home off a win in particular like the
- 15:28Padres here, those teams are 51 and 3063% with a 6% ROI this
- 15:33season. San Diego more some more
- 15:36correlative betting just like that.
- 15:37Mets favorite low total. Same thing here.
- 15:39Total in this game is 8. Low totals are less than 8 1/2.
- 15:43High totals are more than 8 1/2. But anyway, fair amount of
- 15:46expected run scored more likely to come from quote UN quote, the
- 15:48better team was expected to win. JP Sears has been worse on the
- 15:52road than at home. At home, 3.31 ERA.
- 15:55On the road, 4.43 Vasquez has given up three and runs or less
- 15:59and three straight starts. Oakland meanwhile, just 11 and
- 16:0222 on the road. That's the fourth worst Rd. team
- 16:05in baseball. And San Diego meanwhile, plus 24
- 16:08run differential. Oakland is -80 so hopefully San
- 16:11Diego can post another win here tonight.
- 16:12I'm going with the line move. Give me the pods into league
- 16:15home favorite off a win. I got San Diego, we'll call it a
- 16:18-, 160. So San Diego, Baltimore, the
- 16:21Mets and hopefully a Pittsburgh, Saint Louis low scoring game
- 16:24under 7 1/2. Now over to the WNBA because I
- 16:29was looking at the games here for today.
- 16:30I knew we had no NBA or NHL Stanley Cup finals.
- 16:33So I said, hey, am I going to just go baseball today?
- 16:36I don't have a problem with that.
- 16:36Or hey, let's look at WNBA, see what we got.
- 16:40And I found a good system match overlap that combines both the
- 16:43way we approach the market from a data data-driven perspective
- 16:45and combines with a great predicted result and projection
- 16:50here from Rhythm who If you haven't done it yet, you better
- 16:52go sign up for that Rhythm app. Rhythm is the balls.
- 16:55Rhythm is fantastic where they compile and look at all the kind
- 17:01of the box scores and results and then create AI backed driven
- 17:05models and systems and predictions.
- 17:07You can either follow theirs or create your own, whether it's
- 17:09player props or game predictions.
- 17:11I love rhythm and I hope you do too because rhythm will help you
- 17:14win some bets here. But rhythm coincides with this
- 17:18Mystics dream game that I'm looking at so Mystic stream.
- 17:22This is probably not the sexiest game of the night because did
- 17:24you know the Washington Mystics are O and 12?
- 17:27Didn't they have Della Don back in the day?
- 17:29Does she still play? Is she hurt?
- 17:30I don't even know, but here's the point about Dave being a
- 17:33dated room better. You don't need to know the
- 17:34players names and again you're looking at how the market is
- 17:37reacting. But anyway, Mystics and Dream,
- 17:40now the dream are five and four Mystics are O and 12:00.
- 17:45So seems like an easy dream when dream are favored by like 7
- 17:47points. But I'm going to focus on the
- 17:49total because something jumped out to me.
- 17:51The first thing I notice is that this total has gone up.
- 17:54This total for Mystics and Dream opened at 155 1/2.
- 17:57Now it's up to 156 1/2. So it's gone up a point.
- 18:02I even see a couple of shops at 156 1/2 over -112 minus, you
- 18:07know -110 -, 112. Nothing huge here, but does it
- 18:10get to 157? That's something to monitor.
- 18:12Anyway, the total's gone up. Then I look at the at the bet
- 18:15splits for this Washington, Atlanta total.
- 18:18Currently only 4040% of bets, but 54% of the money is on the
- 18:23over. So I'll be what we call a
- 18:25contrarian over. That's when the public is
- 18:26actually betting the under 60% of bets on the under.
- 18:29Yet this total rose only 40% bets, but 54% money set is a +
- 18:3414% smart money discrepancy toward the over.
- 18:37So we're starting to piece together a puzzle.
- 18:39The total went up good contrarian low bets, higher
- 18:41dollars bet split the Mystics. If you're looking for a kind of
- 18:44a a game plan here or hopefully you know kind of game script how
- 18:48this might play out. The Mystics they're O 112, but
- 18:51they are really bad defensively. They're going up the fourth most
- 18:54points in the WNBA, giving up nearly 85 points per game.
- 18:57It's also a little fishy because game one these teams met back at
- 19:01the end of May and the dream 173 to 67.
- 19:05So that was just a total of 140. So if the game one was a 140,
- 19:09why do they open this one so much higher?
- 19:11And why did it rise like you would think just on the, you
- 19:15know, kind of the, you know, 30,000 foot view.
- 19:18If two teams played to a 140 and this opens 155 1/2, wouldn't you
- 19:22know, you think to say, hey, let's take the under because,
- 19:24you know, game script, they went way under last time.
- 19:27But no, even though it went under that number, this one's
- 19:29actually risen. So I kind of like that fishy
- 19:31kind of like, you know, opposite kind of, you know, kind of
- 19:35looking for some regression, I guess in a positive offensive
- 19:38degree. But also here is the kicker.
- 19:41Rhythm again, who does a great job powering this pod.
- 19:44If you haven't done it yet, go sign up for that 7 day free
- 19:46trial of Rhythm, which is located in the bio description
- 19:49of this podcast. But Rhythm is predicting a final
- 19:53total of 159 1/2 or sorry, 159.1.
- 19:59So if we're going over 156 1/2. Rhythm is projecting 159.
- 20:04That means if we land 157, we win 158, we win 159.
- 20:09If Rhythm is right on, you know, right on the button there, we
- 20:11win. But whole point being is that
- 20:14the market is moving up. The percentages look great and
- 20:18Rhythm has a predicted final total of 159.1.
- 20:21So I'm going to go over here. I'm going over 156 1/2 Mystics
- 20:24and dream. One other angle hopefully that
- 20:26will benefit us is that both teams are pretty good rested
- 20:29here. If you look at the Washington
- 20:32Mystics, they last played on Sunday and the dream last played
- 20:37on Saturday. So they've had a couple days
- 20:38off. It's not like it's a
- 20:39back-to-back. So if we got good legs in your
- 20:41in your hitting your shots here. So I'm going Mystics and dream
- 20:44with a market move percentage bet as well as a rhythm
- 20:47predicted edge here. I'm going Mystic stream over 156
- 20:511/2. Now that about does it for
- 20:54episode 53 of the all systems go sports betting podcast powered
- 20:57by rhythm. But reminder, if you enjoy this
- 21:00podcast, did you miss it? Well, I was tracking elephants
- 21:03and rhinos and lions in Africa. Were you missing the pod?
- 21:06The breakdowns, you know, the community aspect of looking at
- 21:09games through a data-driven perspective.
- 21:12If any of that is the case, you missed the pod.
- 21:14You liked the pod, then guess what?
- 21:16Can you do something for me? Can you help me grow this pod
- 21:18organically? Could you please give this
- 21:20podcast a 5 star review on Spotify or on iTunes?
- 21:25I'd love to grow organically. And you know, again, the more
- 21:27likes, the more eyes get opened. And if you want to recommend
- 21:30this pod to a friend, that's also great.
- 21:33But also we are available on a couple other platforms.
- 21:35I just added YouTube before I left for Africa.
- 21:37But if you want to give it five stars, seriously, I would
- 21:39really, really make my day and I'd really appreciate it.
- 21:42Secondly, if you enjoy the breakdowns and you want to learn
- 21:44more about how to be a successful data-driven better,
- 21:48and guess what, I have a resource for you to take
- 21:50advantage of. It's a book.
- 21:52Do people still read books today?
- 21:53I hope they do. But anyway, I wrote a book
- 21:56called the Everything Guide to Sports Betting.
- 21:57So if you want to go to Amazon.com and type in the
- 22:00Everything Guide to Sports Betting, pick up a copy for you
- 22:03or for a friend. It's got everything I've learned
- 22:04in the industry. How lines open, how and why they
- 22:07move, how to read line movement, how to locate sharp action, how
- 22:10to go contrarian, how to place a bet in person or online, how to
- 22:12shop for the best line, how to set up a bankroll management
- 22:15plan, chapters on all the major sports, all included in the
- 22:18Everything Guide to Sports Betting.
- 22:19So it makes a great Father's Day gift, I must say, as Father's
- 22:23Day isn't far off. But again, pick one up and I
- 22:26will sign it for you and I'll buy you a beer.
- 22:28And if you don't drink, I'll buy you a ginger ale at the book
- 22:31next time I see you. But anyway, guys, that about
- 22:33does it. Another episode here down the
- 22:36Hatch reminder, whether I see you at the Borgata in Atlantic
- 22:39City, Twin River in Rhode Island, the Brook of New
- 22:41Hampshire, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun down in Connecticut at the
- 22:44Encore in Boston or Plainridge Park Casino or MGM Springfield
- 22:48in my neck of the woods in New England.
- 22:49Or of course, out in the desert where the true grinders get
- 22:52down, where Billy Walters sends his number runners, where the
- 22:54lowest choose possible is not at the South Point.
- 22:56Sweat and sharp contrarian plays jumping in the stadium swim pool
- 22:59at Circa wherever it may be. You're going to walk up to me.
- 23:02You're going to show me a Brewers winner from last night.
- 23:05I wish we could have gotten the the Royals there dry side all
- 23:08over. But guess what?
- 23:08First one's on me, next one's on you.
- 23:10We're going to post about the book sweat sharp contrarian
- 23:12plays all night long. So wish you the best of luck
- 23:15everyone have a fantastic Tuesday.
- 23:17My parting words, as always, stay sharp, stay contrarian, bet
- 23:21against the public, place yourself on the side of the
- 23:23house. Always be with the smart money,
- 23:24never against it. Well, smart money won every
- 23:26time. Of course not.
- 23:28Smart money was royal as we beat the closing line.
- 23:30They didn't come through for us. But here's the thing, you got to
- 23:32have thick skin, can't get too high or too low.
- 23:35We can consistently read the market, get some closing line
- 23:38value, be contrarian against the public with the house, with the
- 23:41pros. Flat bet, avoid parlays and get
- 23:43some CLV. Long term, if we can do that,
- 23:45we're going to be successful sports bettors.
- 23:47So enjoy the sweats everyone. Have a great Tuesday.
- 23:50We'll be back at it tomorrow on a big Wednesday for episode 54
- 23:54of the All Systems Go Sports Betting podcast powered by
- 23:57Rhythm. Have a great night everybody,
- 23:59good luck.
