Speaker 1: Last night we were talking about Jeffrey Epstein and tax
• 0:05
Speaker 1: havens and how Jeffrey Epstein would use those sorts of
• 0:09
Speaker 1: tax havens to set up the shell companies and then
• 0:13
Speaker 1: from those shell companies move the money around to wherever
• 0:17
Speaker 1: it was needed to make sure that his criminal enterprise
• 0:21
Speaker 1: continues to run smoothly. Well, today we have another article
• 0:26
Speaker 1: about from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists that talks
• 0:31
Speaker 1: about Jeffrey Epstein specifically and how his fortune was traced
• 0:38
Speaker 1: to the Paradise Papers. Now, we've talked a lot about
• 0:43
Speaker 1: the Finson files as of late here, but we're going
• 0:45
Speaker 1: to start moving into the Paradise Papers as well. This
• 0:49
Speaker 1: first article today is going to talk a little bit
• 0:52
Speaker 1: about Jeffrey Epstein and his fortune, and how it ties
• 0:56
Speaker 1: into the Paradise Papers. But some of the other articles
• 1:00
Speaker 1: we're going to go over in the next few days
• 1:04
Speaker 1: are going to give you an overview about the Paradise Papers,
• 1:08
Speaker 1: and then we'll talk about how that ties in to
• 1:11
Speaker 1: our case overall. But this article this morning is a
• 1:17
Speaker 1: good way to dip our toes into it, right? You know, look,
• 1:21
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was obviously engaging in a supreme amount of
• 1:27
Speaker 1: financial fraud. And he was not the only one, obviously.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: What the Paradise Papers, what the Panama Papers, what the
• 1:40
Speaker 1: Finson Files, what they have all shown us is a
• 1:44
Speaker 1: real long look behind the curtain. At what these people do.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: And how they conduct themselves. And I'm just speaking about financially.
• 1:55
Speaker 1: Never mind. The draconian way they conduct themselves. Privately. We've
• 2:00
Speaker 1: seen plenty of that as well. But from just the
• 2:03
Speaker 1: financial aspect. It is very apparent. That Jeffrey Epstein. And
• 2:10
Speaker 1: his criminal enterprise. Was fully engaged. In an epic amount of.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: of money laundering and financial fraud. Like I said, this
• 2:23
Speaker 1: article is from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. The
• 2:32
Speaker 1: author of this article is Spencer Woodman. Headline, Jeffrey Epstein's
• 2:38
Speaker 1: Offshore Fortune Traced to Paradise Papers. Fresh revelations from ICIJ Investigations.
• 2:46
Speaker 1: raised the likelihood that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein cloaked his
• 2:50
Speaker 1: fortune in a series of offshore shell companies registered in
• 2:54
Speaker 1: notoriously secretive tax havens. Now, you see how it's all
• 3:00
Speaker 1: tying in here, right? Yesterday we talked about those tax havens,
• 3:05
Speaker 1: and now this morning we're diving right back in and
• 3:10
Speaker 1: talking about how Jeffrey Epstein's companies were set up in
• 3:15
Speaker 1: these places that are considered tax havens. And it was
• 3:19
Speaker 1: all done with a purpose, right? Nothing Jeffrey Epstein ever
• 3:22
Speaker 1: did was just off the cuff. The man was a
• 3:27
Speaker 1: lot of things, but they surely had a plan. And
• 3:31
Speaker 1: they stuck to their plan. And they were successful with
• 3:36
Speaker 1: their criminal behavior for decades. And Jeffrey Epstein... Darren Indyk, Khan,
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, their fingerprints are all over these shell companies.
• 3:54
Speaker 1: Their fingerprints are all over these financial crimes. The question is,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: are the authorities going to make them pay? Because we
• 4:07
Speaker 1: have seen time and time again, these people that inhabit
• 4:13
Speaker 1: the financial sector, these people that are bankers, these people
• 4:17
Speaker 1: that are huge businessmen or businesswomen, they always find a
• 4:21
Speaker 1: way to skate out of trouble. But if they really
• 4:27
Speaker 1: are going after Jeffrey Epstein, and they're really going to
• 4:30
Speaker 1: hit his finances hard, I don't see an out for
• 4:34
Speaker 1: these people this time around. Because it's quite obvious... That
• 4:41
Speaker 1: at the very least, Indyk and Khan have intimate knowledge
• 4:48
Speaker 1: of all of these financial transactions. Especially Indyk, considering his
• 4:53
Speaker 1: signature is all over this stuff. And this was right
• 4:59
Speaker 1: in his wheelhouse, what he was supposed to do. So, again,
• 5:04
Speaker 1: how are Khan and Indyk still executors of the estate?
• 5:10
Speaker 1: They need to be prosecuted, in my opinion, and prosecuted hard.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: Because Indyke and Khan, even if they weren't involved in
• 5:19
Speaker 1: the actual abuse of the girls, were key factors in
• 5:23
Speaker 1: setting up the financial portion of this and making sure
• 5:29
Speaker 1: that it went off without a hitch. So when we
• 5:33
Speaker 1: talk about these offshore companies and we talk about these
• 5:36
Speaker 1: shell companies and we talk about money laundering, There is
• 5:39
Speaker 1: no doubt in my mind that Darren Indyke should be
• 5:43
Speaker 1: wrapped up in this and should definitely be facing the heat. Now,
• 5:48
Speaker 1: Denise George is turning up the heat a bit on
• 5:50
Speaker 1: them down there in the Virgin Islands, but I'd really
• 5:53
Speaker 1: like to see the SDNY get their shit together and
• 5:57
Speaker 1: really start going hard here too. This article was published
• 6:03
Speaker 1: on July 18th of 2019. Fresh revelations raise the likelihood
• 6:12
Speaker 1: that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein cloaked his fortune in a
• 6:16
Speaker 1: series of offshore shell companies registered in notoriously secretive tax havens. Yeah,
• 6:22
Speaker 1: there's no doubt. I mean, even all the way back then,
• 6:26
Speaker 1: if we go back to July of 2019, right after
• 6:31
Speaker 1: his arrest, etc., etc., it was obvious that Epstein was
• 6:35
Speaker 1: engaging in some financial... scumbaggery right just a cursory glance
• 6:42
Speaker 1: of what he was up to could tell you that
• 6:43
Speaker 1: there was a reason he was based down in the
• 6:45
Speaker 1: virgin islands there was a reason all of these shell
• 6:48
Speaker 1: companies were put together and there was a reason that
• 6:52
Speaker 1: jeffrey epstein and his associates tried to keep it all
• 6:55
Speaker 1: secret so that was very apparent from the very beginning
• 6:59
Speaker 1: what wasn't so apparent was how deep all of these
• 7:03
Speaker 1: ties ran and just how many connections and how many
• 7:07
Speaker 1: relationships Professional and otherwise, Jeffrey Epstein had with some of
• 7:12
Speaker 1: the most powerful people in the world. We're talking presidents,
• 7:16
Speaker 1: business magnates, we're talking you name it. And these are
• 7:21
Speaker 1: the kind of people that Jeffrey Epstein had in his pocket.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: The wealthy financier, pedophile, accused of systematically assaulting and trafficking
• 7:32
Speaker 1: numerous underage girls, tried this week to convince a federal
• 7:36
Speaker 1: judge in New York to allow him to go free
• 7:38
Speaker 1: on bail, partially by detailing his fortune for the court. Well,
• 7:44
Speaker 1: we all know how that turned out, right? We know
• 7:46
Speaker 1: that the court wasn't having it. We know that the
• 7:49
Speaker 1: court knew that Epstein was a flight risk. And the court...
• 7:54
Speaker 1: knew that Epstein had much more money than he was
• 7:57
Speaker 1: letting on. At the very least, the prosecutors suspected it.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: So Jeffrey Epstein, his plan was to detail all of
• 8:08
Speaker 1: this great amount of wealth that he has and then
• 8:11
Speaker 1: use that wealth once again as a way for him
• 8:15
Speaker 1: to avoid being in jail while he awaited trial, right?
• 8:19
Speaker 1: He'd put up all these properties and this, that, the
• 8:22
Speaker 1: other thing, And say, well, I'm putting up all of
• 8:24
Speaker 1: these millions of dollars. I'm not going to run anywhere.
• 8:28
Speaker 1: And more times than not, that shit, it works, right?
• 8:32
Speaker 1: But it didn't work in this case. And a lot
• 8:35
Speaker 1: of that had to do with the fact that the
• 8:37
Speaker 1: court wasn't really sure how much money Jeffrey Epstein really had.
• 8:43
Speaker 1: This guy has money buried in treasure chests all over
• 8:48
Speaker 1: the place would be my guess. He was, folks, I
• 8:52
Speaker 1: can't stress this enough. The amount of fraudulent financial transactions
• 9:00
Speaker 1: that were taking place with Jeffrey Epstein is absurdly high.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: And all of those people that were receiving money from
• 9:10
Speaker 1: him or sending him money are all now part of
• 9:14
Speaker 1: the criminal conspiracy if this case is pursued the correct way.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: This request was rejected today, but the revelation of documents
• 9:28
Speaker 1: by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalist Partners, McClatchy and
• 9:32
Speaker 1: the Miami Herald, underscores the challenge the courts will face
• 9:37
Speaker 1: as his case proceeds. So, yeah, it's really, it was
• 9:43
Speaker 1: a mystery, right? His money, tracing down his money is, was,
• 9:49
Speaker 1: and always is going to be a difficult proposition. Jeffrey
• 9:54
Speaker 1: Epstein wasn't fantastic at many things in life. He certainly
• 9:58
Speaker 1: was fantastic, though. at finding ways to stash money and
• 10:02
Speaker 1: hide money. And he did it perfectly. What do you think?
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Leon Black was just having him hold his money just because?
• 10:12
Speaker 1: Or Les Wexner was having him hold his money just because?
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Or Labette Johnson was just having him hold his money,
• 10:18
Speaker 1: you know, because they're nice and they just wanted someone
• 10:21
Speaker 1: else to have their hands on it? Hell no, there
• 10:24
Speaker 1: was a reason Jeffrey Epstein was managing their money, and
• 10:27
Speaker 1: it wasn't because he was some sort of whiz. The
• 10:31
Speaker 1: man knew how to avoid taxes, the man knew how
• 10:35
Speaker 1: to hide money, and he certainly knew how to act
• 10:39
Speaker 1: like an absolute scumbag. The most extensive document, amounting to
• 10:46
Speaker 1: 500 pages detailing the activities of an Epstein offshore vehicle,
• 10:50
Speaker 1: comes from the Paradise Papers trove, millions of files leaked
• 10:54
Speaker 1: from the Bermuda-founded offshore services provider Appleby. Now, remember, I
• 11:01
Speaker 1: was talking about the Paradise Papers and the Panama Papers
• 11:05
Speaker 1: and how all roads lead to Jeffrey Epstein when it
• 11:10
Speaker 1: comes to these financial crimes. And the fact that he
• 11:14
Speaker 1: had all of these shell companies, all of these places
• 11:17
Speaker 1: that were established in these tax havens, it just obviously
• 11:22
Speaker 1: adds up, right? Put it this way, there is plenty
• 11:26
Speaker 1: of circumstantial evidence enough for probable cause to make an arrest, right?
• 11:31
Speaker 1: If you were a cop and you were putting this
• 11:32
Speaker 1: all together, certainly enough probable cause to bring somebody in.
• 11:37
Speaker 1: But yet Epstein was continuously let off the hook, and
• 11:44
Speaker 1: he was continuously provided cover to keep on doing what
• 11:52
Speaker 1: he was doing for decades. And it would not have
• 11:58
Speaker 1: taken much for these investigators to really go hard in
• 12:02
Speaker 1: the paint and to really step on the gas all
• 12:05
Speaker 1: the way back in 2007 and figure out all of
• 12:09
Speaker 1: this financial douchebaggery. but they were way too busy trying
• 12:13
Speaker 1: to cut their boy a sweetheart deal. The files reportedly
• 12:19
Speaker 1: show that by the mid-2000s, Epstein's firm had joined a
• 12:23
Speaker 1: roster of the world's wealthiest people and corporations in working
• 12:27
Speaker 1: with Appleby, and therefore gaining a skilled group of experts
• 12:31
Speaker 1: to help it navigate the secretive and low-tax world of
• 12:35
Speaker 1: offshore finance, the new report states. And we talked about
• 12:40
Speaker 1: Applebee yesterday morning when we were talking about, excuse me,
• 12:43
Speaker 1: last night, when we were talking about the tax havens
• 12:47
Speaker 1: and what Applebee's role was. And of course, lo and behold,
• 12:51
Speaker 1: Epstein was involved with Applebee as well. Any lever of power,
• 12:58
Speaker 1: any sort of scummy financial situation, you can be sure
• 13:04
Speaker 1: of one thing. Jeffrey Epstein's name can be found somewhere
• 13:09
Speaker 1: in the documents. From at least 2000 to 2007, Epstein
• 13:16
Speaker 1: chaired a company registered in Bermuda called Liquid Funding Limited.
• 13:20
Speaker 1: This entity was partially owned by the investment bank Bear Stearns,
• 13:24
Speaker 1: where Epstein had worked, according to the report. The bank's
• 13:28
Speaker 1: collapse would help set in motion the 2008 financial crisis. Yeah,
• 13:33
Speaker 1: you know, the too-big-to-fail financial crisis where none of these
• 13:36
Speaker 1: banksters went to prison, none of Jeffrey Epstein's best friends
• 13:40
Speaker 1: had to deal with consequences. Meanwhile, all of us had
• 13:44
Speaker 1: our 401ks wiped out, lost homes, people were on the brink,
• 13:49
Speaker 1: people were, you know, really up against it. But the bankers? Nah, too-big-to-fail, bro.
• 13:54
Speaker 1: Give them their TARP money. Give them their bailout money.
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Screw the rest of us. And when we do that
• 14:00
Speaker 1: and we bail these people out and we give these
• 14:02
Speaker 1: banksters favorable terms, remember, we're giving Jeffrey Epstein's key enablers,
• 14:08
Speaker 1: the top people who helped him facilitate all of this
• 14:12
Speaker 1: through the financial sector, well, we're giving them the good stuff.
• 14:19
Speaker 1: And those are the real people who are a problem, folks,
• 14:25
Speaker 1: in my opinion. These banksters, these people who work in
• 14:28
Speaker 1: the too-big-to-fail world, and I don't mean the day-to-day workers, right?
• 14:32
Speaker 1: I never mean the frontline people. I'm talking about the bureaucrats,
• 14:36
Speaker 1: the bosses, the shitbirds. Epstein's offshore company was loaded up
• 14:44
Speaker 1: with some of the financial products, like mortgage-backed securities and
• 14:49
Speaker 1: collateralized loan obligations that would become synonymous with the financial
• 14:54
Speaker 1: excess leading to the financial crisis. Of course he was.
• 14:58
Speaker 1: He was locked into all of that stuff. Mortgage-backed securities,
• 15:02
Speaker 1: collateralized loan obligations. That's basically, you know, the way that
• 15:07
Speaker 1: these guys were running things. The way that they had
• 15:11
Speaker 1: things on lock, especially at Bears and Stearns. And then
• 15:15
Speaker 1: when the meltdown came, all of this stuff took a
• 15:19
Speaker 1: huge hit and they got clipped big time. According to
• 15:24
Speaker 1: the Miami Herald and McClatchy, Liquid Funding had commercial mortgages
• 15:29
Speaker 1: and investment-grade residential mortgages bundled into complex securities. And that's
• 15:35
Speaker 1: what they do as well, right? They'll bundle all of
• 15:37
Speaker 1: this stuff together and they'll put it in like these
• 15:41
Speaker 1: complex security arrangements and then they'll go on with their
• 15:46
Speaker 1: financial douchebaggery like Epstein did. And it's just sickening to me.
• 15:53
Speaker 1: that this guy and all of his friends are able
• 15:58
Speaker 1: to continue to do this. Still no regulations, and still
• 16:03
Speaker 1: no repercussions for any of these people. The three main
• 16:10
Speaker 1: credit rating agencies, Standard & Poor's, Fitch Ratings, and Moody
• 16:14
Speaker 1: Investor Service, all helped Bear Stearns create the securities in
• 16:18
Speaker 1: a way that would allow the creative product to get
• 16:21
Speaker 1: a gold-plated, AAA rating, the Miami Herald and McClatchy reported.
• 16:27
Speaker 1: So the credit rating agencies, Standard & Poor's, Fitch and Moody's,
• 16:34
Speaker 1: they're all in on the take as well, right? We
• 16:36
Speaker 1: can't trust any of them. Just like Experian and the
• 16:39
Speaker 1: other actual real personal credit rating services. Who created that shit?
• 16:44
Speaker 1: Who came up with that idea? Certainly wasn't a poor person,
• 16:48
Speaker 1: I can promise you that much. The task of determining
• 16:53
Speaker 1: Epstein's wealth has been a significant factor in the decision
• 16:57
Speaker 1: of whether he is released for jail pending trial. Prosecutors
• 17:01
Speaker 1: cited Epstein's wealth as making him more likely to flee
• 17:04
Speaker 1: ahead of a trial date. And there's no doubt, Epstein
• 17:08
Speaker 1: was the kind of guy that had the ability to
• 17:12
Speaker 1: kick rocks and go if he wanted to. There's no
• 17:15
Speaker 1: doubt about it. He had the money, he had the means,
• 17:17
Speaker 1: he had the connections. So there was... zero chance he
• 17:21
Speaker 1: was getting out of jail just like Ghislaine Maxwell. And
• 17:24
Speaker 1: what made Ghislaine Maxwell even more of a flight risk, obviously,
• 17:28
Speaker 1: were her foreign passports. The Herald and McClatchy reporters were
• 17:35
Speaker 1: able to reach one director, Marcus Klug, listed in the
• 17:38
Speaker 1: leaked documents as helping administer Epstein's offshore vehicle. Klug, now
• 17:44
Speaker 1: a member of the governing board of Bundus Pension Skas AG,
• 17:49
Speaker 1: a large Austrian pension fund, confirmed that he was a
• 17:53
Speaker 1: director of an Epstein company when he worked for an
• 17:56
Speaker 1: Austrian insurance company that had invested in Liquid Fund, according
• 18:00
Speaker 1: to the Herald and McClatchy. If it seems confusing, folks,
• 18:04
Speaker 1: that's the point. The whole entire point is for this
• 18:07
Speaker 1: shit to be confusing. They don't want anyone to know
• 18:10
Speaker 1: who owns these companies. who's administering these companies, who's running
• 18:13
Speaker 1: these companies, or who's funding these companies. So, they use
• 18:17
Speaker 1: these shell situations in these tax havens, and then they
• 18:22
Speaker 1: make it real damn confusing for you. Liquid was evidently
• 18:28
Speaker 1: a shell company, and its directorship duties appeared pro forma.
• 18:33
Speaker 1: There was neither a physical board meeting or call between
• 18:36
Speaker 1: board members, Klug explained to the Herald and McClatchy adding
• 18:39
Speaker 1: of Epstein. I never even met him. So, right there
• 18:44
Speaker 1: is another article that talks about how Epstein was involved
• 18:51
Speaker 1: in these sorts of financial crimes that we see in
• 18:55
Speaker 1: the Finston Files, we saw in the Paradise Papers, we
• 18:58
Speaker 1: saw in the Panama Papers, and we'll continue to see
• 19:02
Speaker 1: this moving forward when leaks like this occur. Because Jeffrey
• 19:06
Speaker 1: Epstein and people like Jeffrey Epstein... the other so-called elite,
• 19:11
Speaker 1: believe that they operate with a whole different set of
• 19:16
Speaker 1: rules than you and I. And the sad part is
• 19:19
Speaker 1: for all of these years, that certainly has been the case.
• 19:23
Speaker 1: But from where I'm sitting and how I feel about
• 19:27
Speaker 1: things and how I think that most of you feel,
• 19:30
Speaker 1: I think that it's time that things change and that
• 19:34
Speaker 1: these people, they have to play by the same rules
• 19:37
Speaker 1: as everybody else. And if they get caught screwing around,
• 19:42
Speaker 1: I don't want to hear too big to fail. All
• 19:46
Speaker 1: I want to hear is how many years they're going
• 19:49
Speaker 1: to be serving. in prison. If you'd like to contact me,
