  Speaker 1: And you have brought a charming animal with you. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: this is River. Tell us a little bit about River.

  Speaker 2: River is the best boy. He is a six year

  Speaker 2: old Australian cattle dog or red healer mix. And he

  Speaker 2: is a little bit shy this morning, but normally he's
• 0:34
  Speaker 2: just such a jovial fellow. He has lived successfully in
• 0:38
  Speaker 2: the or. He hasn't lived successfully with other dogs, but
• 0:40
  Speaker 2: he has met other dogs and interacted with them successfully.

  Speaker 2: He used to be a big fan of the dog park,

  Speaker 2: so we think that he would do great if you've

  Speaker 2: already got a puppet home. And he just loves people

  Speaker 2: of all ages.

  Speaker 1: I can tell that even though he's being kind of

  Speaker 1: shy for a.

  Speaker 3: Cattle dog, I would expect him to be kind of

  Speaker 3: bouncing off the wall.

  Speaker 2: He is a very mellow boy. He is a sweetheart.

  Speaker 2: We had him up in my office the other day

  Speaker 2: and he was just content to just chew a bone

  Speaker 2: and lay on the bed. And he would come and

  Speaker 2: solicit some pets every once in a while. So if

  Speaker 2: you want a cuddle, buddy, River is your guy.

  Speaker 1: Uh well it was River. He did he had he

  Speaker 1: had to be given up for some reason.

  Speaker 2: Then he was, yeah, an owner surrender. He came to

  Speaker 2: a student of fault of his own though, and he's

  Speaker 2: just ready to find a new family.

  Speaker 1: It's a you said River does tricks.

  Speaker 2: He does. He is a very smart boy. I mean

  Speaker 2: that's kind of a cattle dog thing. But we can

  Speaker 2: definitely see if he would like to show off a

  Speaker 2: little bit.

  Speaker 1: Wow, he's smart. Those cattle dogs are pretty smart. Oh yeah.

  Speaker 1: Sid is a vet tech and she says cattle doogs

  Speaker 1: are the best. Let's see if you can go going

  Speaker 3: No, that's where we I am not some monkey.

  Speaker 1: I am not some monkey that dances for your mom

  Speaker 1: ver River is and people that was one of adopt

  Speaker 1: you know, puppies and kiddies. And River is a mature animal.

  Speaker 1: And there's a lot to be said for adopting this

  Speaker 1: is this this boy is already trained.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, well yeah, there are so many benefits to having

  Speaker 2: an adult dog. You don't have to deal with the

  Speaker 2: potty training or training them not to to on your furniture.

  Speaker 2: And River is just such a sweet boy. He walks

  Speaker 2: great on a leash as well. He would love to

  Speaker 2: go on some adventures. So if you enjoy hiking or
• 2:55
  Speaker 2: going on walks, River is a great friend for you.

  Speaker 1: So River is now adoptable right now.

  Speaker 2: He is adoptable right now. We will open at eleven
• 3:05
  Speaker 2: am today and River will be waiting for y'all.

  Speaker 1: So how do people go about adopting River?

  Speaker 2: Sure? So if you just come on down to our facility,

  Speaker 2: adoptions counselors at the front desk, let him know you'd

  Speaker 1: wanting to adopt River at eleven o'clock.

  Speaker 2: River, I sure, hope, so he deserves the best home.

  Speaker 2: He's been with us for like a little over a

  Speaker 2: week now, so he's been sitting a little longer than

  Speaker 2: I would have expected. So if you want to come

  Speaker 2: and adopt River, he is ready to go.

  Speaker 1: Boy, he's just a great He's just a great dog

  Speaker 1: and a good looking dog. Yeah.

  Speaker 2: Yes, he's very hints.

  Speaker 1: And the adoption process is pretty easy, right.

  Speaker 2: It's very easy. You'll just come on in, you'll meet

  Speaker 2: some pets. Once you decide you'd like to add to

  Speaker 2: your family, chat with one of our adoption counselors. Again,

  Speaker 2: they'll have you scan a little QR code, you'll fill

  Speaker 2: out a very short adoption form and the process takes

  Speaker 2: about thirty minutes and you can go home with your

  Speaker 2: best friend that same day.

  Speaker 3: and there's lots of noises and bright lights and weird

  Speaker 3: and he's just calm un.
