- 0:00Speaker 1: Today is a very special day. Why? Happy Tuesday and
- 0:06Speaker 1: Dear Diary Day. Does anybody keep those anymore? Do you
- 0:08Speaker 1: ever have a diary? That's more of a girl thing,
- 0:10Speaker 1: I think.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Anybody can keep a diary if they want to. You know,
- 0:15Speaker 2: I had a written one and an electronic one.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Wow. It's also Hobbit Day because today, theoretically, is Bilbo
- 0:23Speaker 1: and Frodo Baggins' shared birthday. And Ice Cream Cone Day.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Expect deals from the likes of Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins,
- 0:31Speaker 1: and McDonald's. Seek them out and you will find it.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Birthdays today, Jessie Murph turns 22. I'm not familiar with
- 0:39Speaker 1: who Jessie Murph is, but I know a big deal
- 0:42Speaker 1: at the Big E this year.
- 0:43Speaker 2: She opened on Friday, and the original version of Coetzee's
- 0:47Speaker 2: High Road is actually a duet with Jessie Murph.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Really? There you go. See, Amanda Jo knows everything. Also,
- 0:54Speaker 1: Harry Potter actor Tom Felton. Draco Malfoy. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I
- 0:59Speaker 1: got it. Both my kids are reading those books now
- 1:01Speaker 1: and loving them. 38. Joan Jett, God bless her, is 67.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Andrea Bocelli turns 68. Did I ever tell you my
- 1:11Speaker 1: Andrea Bocelli story?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Did you ask him if you could see something?
- 1:15Speaker 1: No, no, no. I went backstage to meet him and
- 1:18Speaker 1: I said, that's the best show I've ever seen. And
- 1:19Speaker 1: without missing a beat, he said, that makes one of us.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I mean, that's quick. I'm sure he's heard it before, though. Anyway,
- 1:26Speaker 1: and this gal. Tony Basil. How old do you think
- 1:32Speaker 1: Toni Basil is? I know she started late.
- 1:34Speaker 2: She was older than I thought she was when that
- 1:36Speaker 2: music video came out.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Take a stab.
- 1:39Speaker 2: 70s? 83.
- 1:40Speaker 1: She's still doing it. There you go. Today's special days
- 1:46Speaker 1: and birthdays on the Country 92.5 Morning Show. Country 92.5
- 1:50Speaker 1: Morning Show.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Well, weather-wise, fall arrives today, but not until.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I love it!
- 1:55Speaker 2: Not until 8.05 p.m. officially. So until then, partial sunshine, breezy,
- 2:01Speaker 2: cool highs in the 60s. Big E underway. Today is
- 2:05Speaker 2: Rhode Island day.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Got to get some Dells.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I always like to get the clam cake fritters in
- 2:12Speaker 2: the Rhode Island building. Those are great.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I can't do that, man.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So good. I'm actually going this afternoon. My friends are
- 2:18Speaker 2: going there at 10. We have a shared note. We're
- 2:19Speaker 2: going to be hitting all sorts of food up. Free
- 2:22Speaker 2: clam breaks for the kids.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm kidding.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Monday Night Football.
- 2:26Speaker 1: L.A.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Rams beat the New York Giants 28-6.
- 2:30Speaker 1: And check this out.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Hall of Fame kicker. Adam Vinatieri, he's going to attempt
- 2:34Speaker 2: to set a Guinness World Record today by kicking the
- 2:37Speaker 2: highest elevation field goal in history. It's all for promo
- 2:42Speaker 2: leading up to the New England's Patriots November matchup against
- 2:45Speaker 2: the Detroit Lions in Munich. Vinatieri is going to be
- 2:49Speaker 2: kicking in the Swiss Alps.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you meant he had to get the
- 2:55Speaker 1: ball high. You're talking about how high up he is
- 2:58Speaker 1: kicking the ball.
- 2:58Speaker 2: He's going to be in the Swiss Alps in the
- 3:00Speaker 2: snow at an altitude of over 11,000 feet. Of course,
- 3:04Speaker 2: snow ain't no thing for Adam Vinatieri. If we think
- 3:07Speaker 2: back to that 2001-02 NFL playoff season, yeah, blizzard conditions.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So is he going to poot it off a mountain?
- 3:15Speaker 2: Sounds like it.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That's crazy. That's cool.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:19Speaker 1: There you go. That was some darn fascinating news. A
- 3:24Speaker 1: little stellar lefty for you here on the Country 92.5
- 3:28Speaker 1: Morning Show, where it's time for today's fascinating facts in
- 3:30Speaker 1: honor of National Ice Cream Cone Day. The average number
- 3:34Speaker 1: of licks to finish one scoop of ice cream, 53
- 3:37Speaker 1: for women, 47 for men. I'm assuming that has to
- 3:41Speaker 1: do with tongue size, and I don't know who the
- 3:43Speaker 1: hell would study that. Yeah. New World Record was set
- 3:46Speaker 1: actually this year for the most ice cream eaten in
- 3:48Speaker 1: a minute. Some dude in Germany ate a quart in
- 3:50Speaker 1: a minute. A quart in one minute. On my best day.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I used to be able to do a pint of
- 3:58Speaker 2: Ben and Jerry's in 17, but I was in high school.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 2: That's why I timed it. Because why else would I
- 4:03Speaker 2: do that? Who's got that kind of time?
- 4:05Speaker 1: Nobody. Nobody. Probably got brain freeze, which I didn't know
- 4:08Speaker 1: what that was. Do you know what brain freeze is?
- 4:11Speaker 1: It is the nerve endings in your mouth sending a
- 4:13Speaker 1: message to your brain that they have had a sudden
- 4:16Speaker 1: loss of heat. And the brain gets it.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I got it.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Sudden loss of heat. Okay. Message received. There you go.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Today's fascinating facts for what they're worth. Up next, it's
- 4:30Speaker 1: scoop time. And Amanda Jo's back to scoop, scoopity-doo.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Well, I've got to get caught up on something that
- 4:37Speaker 2: I witnessed for the first time on Friday night. I've
- 4:41Speaker 2: got some Kenny to cover and my top three from
- 4:45Speaker 2: the new Riley Green album.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. All on the
- 4:49Speaker 1: way here on the Country 92.5 Morning Show.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Wow.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I just got an email that Ukrainian women want to
- 4:56Speaker 1: meet me.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Lovely.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Take care of that later on. It is 624. It's
- 5:02Speaker 1: time for The Scoop. Look who's back to do it
- 5:04Speaker 1: for us. Miss Amanda Jo. Go, Amanda Jo, go.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Well, I took some time off in New Hampshire. Took
- 5:12Speaker 2: a nice little long road trip. Thank you, Monica Ford.
- 5:14Speaker 2: The Bronc and I had a delightful time.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Josh Ross.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Open for Dan and Shay Friday night in New Hampshire.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And it was the first time ever in concert he
- 5:25Speaker 2: did this song.
- 5:26Speaker 1: That's a good tune.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Comes out on Friday. If you want to see the
- 5:30Speaker 2: video of him for the first time ever performing that
- 5:33Speaker 2: in front of an audience, it's up on our Instacountry 92.5.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Kenny Chesney announced a second date for Gillette. Knew that
- 5:40Speaker 2: was coming. The pre-sale for 828 went so well that
- 5:43Speaker 2: he also added Friday 827. Tickets for both the shows
- 5:47Speaker 2: will go on sale on Friday. And Riley Green last
- 5:52Speaker 2: night made his debut as coach on The Voice. We
- 5:55Speaker 2: will ask you a question at 920 that could score
- 5:58Speaker 2: you a $ 250 American Express gift card. And I did
- 6:02Speaker 2: spend also on said road trip over the weekend, spent
- 6:06Speaker 2: a lot of time with his new album, That's Just Me.
- 6:10Speaker 2: My top three at this present moment. P.O.S. Ten Pairs
- 6:15Speaker 2: of Boots. That is a story song that you really
- 6:18Speaker 2: need to pay attention to start to finish. And my favorite,
- 6:22Speaker 2: More of a Man Than Me.
- 6:25Speaker 1: As I recall, you said it's a non-skipper. It is
- 6:27Speaker 1: a listen through joy. No skips.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Boom.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Your boy. That's the scoop here today on the Country 92.5
- 6:36Speaker 1: Morning Show. Up next, our feel-good story. We're going to
- 6:39Speaker 1: the gridiron with a feel-good football story. 15 minutes away
- 6:43Speaker 1: here at Country 92.5. Country 92.5. It's Tuesday. Glad you're
- 6:52Speaker 1: here with us. That's Amanda Jo back in the house.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And I'm David. Today's feel-good story. I love this. I
- 7:00Speaker 1: actually saw this on ESPN. Justin Buzzard just made his
- 7:04Speaker 1: college football debut. Defensive lineman for San Jose City College
- 7:08Speaker 1: in California. He also made the record books as the
- 7:11Speaker 1: oldest college freshman in the game. The pastor, he's a pastor,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and father of three, just turned 48. He played in
- 7:21Speaker 1: college like 30 years ago, got derailed by injuries. And
- 7:24Speaker 1: then he sees this video of a guy who's like 60.
- 7:26Speaker 1: And has cancer and is trying to get into Division III.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So he goes, oh, I'm going to try this. He
- 7:31Speaker 1: calls the school. They said, okay. Tries out. He's in
- 7:35Speaker 1: good shape. Made the team. Also made him get to
- 7:37Speaker 1: sign up for ESPN. He has to take 12 credit
- 7:39Speaker 1: courses to play. But he's doing it all. Got a
- 7:43Speaker 1: rousing standing ovation when he subbed in during the third
- 7:46Speaker 1: quarter of the team's home opener, which they lost. He
- 7:49Speaker 1: told ESPN after the game, his philosophy is, if you're
- 7:54Speaker 1: not risking, you're rusting.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I like that.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Very smart. Good guy. Today's feel-good story here on the
- 8:03Speaker 1: Country 92.5 morning show. Playing football at 48. Guess what
- 8:07Speaker 1: number jersey they gave him?
- 8:08Speaker 2: 48. Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Coming up next, headlines.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I've got a question for people. Today is going to
- 8:15Speaker 2: be the first day of fall at 8.05. And we
- 8:18Speaker 2: know I like my seasonal bucket list. Yes, you do.
- 8:21Speaker 2: And I have a specific theme this year that I
- 8:24Speaker 2: need help with. All right.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Get ready for it. It's coming up. Men are four
- 8:31Speaker 1: times more likely to keep these than women what? Men,
- 8:38Speaker 1: four times more likely to hang on to what over women? 860-249-9250.

- 9:11Speaker 2: I would say old underwear or socks.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Good guess. That's an awesome guess. I wish it was
- 9:20Speaker 1: the one we were looking for, but unfortunately it is not.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Oh, that's unfortunate.
- 9:25Speaker 1: At least you made us smile, and that's worth its
- 9:28Speaker 1: weight in gold. Thank you for calling.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Amanda, Joe, we're going to need a clue.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Sometimes they put this on their dash.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Ah.

- 9:45Speaker 1: would love to. I know you would. That's why you're calling.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Men are four times more likely to keep these than women.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Kate called early. She said.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I would say old underwear or socks.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Hilarious. answer. Not right. Here was Amanda Jo's clue.

- 11:52Speaker 1: and left it for me yesterday. I said, aha, we'll
- 11:55Speaker 1: see what Amanda Jo does with this. A stinky panda?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Stinky panda is the first thing she comes up with.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Not even close. Cub?
- 12:07Speaker 2: Does that have to do with a cub?

- 13:00Speaker 1: a bear and a skunk? Winnie the Pee-Yoo. Oh, Tessa Grace? Yes?
- 13:06Speaker 1: What do you get when you cross a bear and
- 13:08Speaker 1: a skunk? Winnie the Pee-Yoo. Close enough. How would you
- 13:17Speaker 1: like to win $ 250? Hopefully you watched The Voice last
- 13:24Speaker 1: night because that's what it's going to take to get

- 13:44Speaker 2: did that song from your heart for the people. And
- 13:46Speaker 2: that's what I felt. We've heard it done many ways,
- 13:48Speaker 2: but never like that. You made it yours. Tell us
- 13:52Speaker 2: which coach said that name, that coach. And you got

- 14:07Speaker 1: this is Luann. Luann, I'm assuming you watched The Voice
- 14:11Speaker 1: last night. I most certainly did. Well, then you should
- 14:15Speaker 1: know the answer to that question. Can you give it
- 14:17Speaker 1: to us? I can.
- 14:18Speaker 3: It was the queen herself, Queen Latifah.
- 14:22Speaker 1: All right. Let's see if you're right. Big country.
- 14:26Speaker 2: You got it. You got it.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You just did that song from your heart for the people.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And that's what I felt. We've heard it done many ways,
- 14:36Speaker 1: but never like that. You made a choice. You are correct.
