- 2:13Speaker 2: I did do something cool and and at least for
- 2:17Speaker 2: the moment, I can hear you, guys, because Discord is
- 2:21Speaker 2: acting good for your moment.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, for the moment. But it's that time
- 2:28Speaker 3: of year where Gigi dangles shiny things at us and

- 2:44Speaker 3: Don't everybody freak out right, because we're gonna do that too.
- 2:49Speaker 3: But we figured we'd start with our preview cards because
- 2:52Speaker 3: I didn't post anything all day to day about our
- 2:56Speaker 3: preview cards or three boomers don't know how to use
- 3:00Speaker 3: the internet.
- 3:01Speaker 1: We'll like anyone an adult can find it.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Yeah, so anyone made.
- 3:06Speaker 1: He made a fourteen year old's account and posted some
- 3:09Speaker 1: ship there.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I posted cigare TikTok and YouTube short.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I stand, I stand corrected. Thank you for the evidence.
- 3:20Speaker 2: You're on her.
- 3:21Speaker 3: You're no problem. It's all there.
- 3:25Speaker 5: And the target audience are they eight year olds?
- 3:28Speaker 2: What did you want?
- 3:31Speaker 1: We wanted classical Facebook because we're old.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I posted them on Facebook too.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that one did actually come through after something. It
- 3:41Speaker 4: was very very late.
- 3:42Speaker 1: After dinner time and right before bedtime.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, like six. Who doesn't do best scrolling at about
- 3:51Speaker 3: four o'clock in the afternoon.
- 3:53Speaker 5: I mean, we can't argue about that, but.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It's not when I'm pooping.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Next time, I will monitor your bathroom habits
- 4:05Speaker 3: to make sure that the uploads coincide with when you're
- 4:09Speaker 3: taking a shit.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Well, boys, boys, this this is preview week and next
- 4:15Speaker 4: week before we go ahead and actually get to our
- 4:17Speaker 4: game found campaign.
- 4:18Speaker 5: So if you missed it, go check.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Well.
- 4:21Speaker 4: If you want to be spoiler free, sorry, then you
- 4:23Speaker 4: can tune up for a little bit and come back
- 4:25Speaker 4: in some point. But we're putting spoilers first. But help
- 4:29Speaker 4: her future self started off Monday and then Flightless Pheasants
- 4:32Speaker 4: head Tuesday. Okay, Wednesday was Jessica Casalado. Do you guys
- 4:39Speaker 4: I actually say that, I did not actually know. That's
- 4:41Speaker 4: what why I was asking. And this is the second link. Sure,
- 4:46Speaker 4: it's actually under the key Forge game found Chattered Reality.
- 4:50Speaker 4: It is updates number two content creator spoiler schedule. But
- 4:56Speaker 4: she is actually an Insta and instag around there.
- 5:02Speaker 1: This is why none of us know what it is, Wookie,
- 5:04Speaker 1: because we don't use Instagram.
- 5:06Speaker 3: So I had gone ahead and I use Instagram to
- 5:09Speaker 3: look at slightly what well you look at classy boobs.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Mine are slightly I don't even call that slightly trashy.
- 5:21Speaker 3: There's got to be a better way to say that,
- 5:23Speaker 3: crash adjacent trashy. Prepare for the spoilers. Let's see, I'm
- 5:29Speaker 3: going to go to this okay, help from futures of
- 5:33Speaker 3: Jessica Casletta.
- 5:35Speaker 4: So she has she has board games, she has magic,
- 5:39Speaker 4: but I hadn't seen Keith Forge and so that's why
- 5:44Speaker 4: I was asking. It is on the top of her profile.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I don't know how to do that, so I clumbing
- 5:50Speaker 4: a click on it. Now you ready, it's still loading.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Because guess what when I asked forge somewhere with fish,
- 6:01Speaker 3: you're not gonna find. Oh she is, I think she's
- 6:04Speaker 3: I think she's foreign.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Well she is, she is foreign, but she was scheduled
- 6:09Speaker 4: for yesterday. I still haven't seen the preview for there.
- 6:12Speaker 4: But it was someone I didn't know. I mean, I
- 6:14Speaker 4: love that we're putting an insta, but again with our demographic,
- 6:19Speaker 4: if I didn't see it, I didn't have a connection.
- 6:21Speaker 4: And maybe it is South American, European. I don't actually
- 6:25Speaker 4: know where she's from. I like that they had reached out,
- 6:27Speaker 4: but typically these are some people who have a little
- 6:30Speaker 4: bit more.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I'm going to go out on a limb and say
- 6:34Speaker 3: she might be Brazilian.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Awesome.
- 6:38Speaker 3: I love this again for Artura sp for Matto Arteta Maximal.
- 6:49Speaker 2: This is one of her posts. Sure, that's how it sounds. Again.
- 6:54Speaker 4: All I was looking for is so if anyone finds what.
- 7:00Speaker 3: He has got us Discovery key Forge Club.
- 7:04Speaker 1: They said, what's going on? She's at some big Boar
- 7:07Speaker 1: gaming event. She told GG they were released on the
- 7:09Speaker 1: twenty seventh, and they didn't up down game found to
- 7:12Speaker 1: represent that. So twice sounds basic. This long story you
- 7:17Speaker 1: guys are.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Making She's followed by gig are we followed by gg No.
- 7:24Speaker 4: No, anyway, there are quite a few different individuals. I
- 7:30Speaker 4: like that some of them are conson stables in our
- 7:33Speaker 4: key Forge hold On listening stance, and I like that
- 7:38Speaker 4: there's different content creators, some of them being new, so awesome.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Congrats to everyone who got some previews. And these are
- 7:45Speaker 4: pretty sweet. And I have to say I am especially fond.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Of our cards. Boys.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I know about you, but I think we got some
- 7:54Speaker 4: amazing cards. Shall we get into it?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Why not? Let me see here? I gotta click click over.
- 8:03Speaker 3: So we start out with cut and run Pip November.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Every time you play this action, reveal the top card
- 8:12Speaker 3: of your opponent's deck. It is a shadows card. I
- 8:14Speaker 3: did not say that you were correct. Reveal the top
- 8:18Speaker 3: card of your opponent's deck. If the revealed card has
- 8:20Speaker 3: a bonus icon, purge it otherwise grafted onto an enemy creature.
- 8:28Speaker 2: This is common. Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Should we talk first and then go into this to
- 8:35Speaker 5: the image after?
- 8:36Speaker 2: Sure?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Sure?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Sure? So? Okay, so you're looking at the top card
- 8:40Speaker 2: of your opponent's deck. Okay, so you're not hitting this?
- 8:46Speaker 1: Okay, like a slightly hamstrung. Who cares which a hamstrm sucks?
- 8:52Speaker 2: Right? So okay, so much better. Yeah, I guess the
- 8:57Speaker 2: targets actions ish uh. Actions with hips on them they
- 9:05Speaker 2: have as a boat on can purge it, otherwise graft
- 9:08Speaker 2: it onto a network. So what does grafting do for you?
- 9:10Speaker 2: I guess. I guess there's a bunch of cards that
- 9:13Speaker 2: are gonna come that are grafty.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it's going to graft it onto a creature
- 9:18Speaker 1: that has no graft ability and it's just a place
- 9:20Speaker 1: to hide it until that new dies.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Correct.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah, so it is essentially another out of play zone
- 9:27Speaker 4: where it's kind of stored. I think that people are
- 9:30Speaker 4: really missing graft While we originally saw grafting as a
- 9:36Speaker 4: mechanic that was bringing other cards to be used again,
- 9:40Speaker 4: such as Infomancer or Memo Lift, that is not the
- 9:43Speaker 4: main item that I've seen from grafting. As we've gotten
- 9:46Speaker 4: through some previews, grafting seems to be a very heavy
- 9:50Speaker 4: use of c of removing cards, specifically creatures. This one
- 9:55Speaker 4: is going to go ahead and take more of actions
- 9:57Speaker 4: and be able to post them into an unplayable.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Area for the short time.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So we'll see if we can interact with that more
- 10:05Speaker 4: or what, but it is technically in another area.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So this card is bad because if they only have
- 10:14Speaker 1: an infomencer, you have to discard it. And this is
- 10:17Speaker 1: not a real thing.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. Maybe there's a bunch of cards
- 10:22Speaker 2: that do a bunch of cool stuff with having stuff
- 10:24Speaker 2: grafted onto them.
- 10:25Speaker 1: But it under an enemy creature. So it's like for
- 10:29Speaker 1: this to benefit you, you'd have to have a card
- 10:31Speaker 1: that said, like for every card grafted under an enemy card,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and it'd be like, oh, this is like a totally
- 10:37Speaker 1: bad key sheet because this is the only set that
- 10:40Speaker 1: it works in correct.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Yeah, so if you're playing out of set, I think
- 10:45Speaker 4: that you can basically just talk another card and it's
- 10:49Speaker 4: going to leave it. I would have liked it not
- 10:52Speaker 4: to be random, but a little bit more selects a
- 10:54Speaker 4: card from the top three or that, you know, so
- 10:57Speaker 4: that you had similar age.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Yes, yes, it would as it is.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Like I said, it's kinda it's kind of just hamstrung,
- 11:05Speaker 1: ye is. I mean, it's just it is better than hamstrung,
- 11:09Speaker 1: but it's not tons better except it can you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: like it can hit a Martian generosity and just purge
- 11:17Speaker 1: it and then somebody cries or whatever. Good guards exist.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Now, so if it if it is that actually like
- 11:24Speaker 4: if it has a bonus icon, a bonus icon meaning
- 11:27Speaker 4: any of anything from an amber pip to a house
- 11:30Speaker 4: and hands pip to you know, like so, so it
- 11:33Speaker 4: is hitting more frequently right now, it is gonna purge it.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Otherwise it's just temporarily gone. It's not the worst card
- 11:42Speaker 4: that I've seen, but out of the two, this is
- 11:44Speaker 4: more for it for the image in the picture than
- 11:46Speaker 4: it is for the text and playability of life.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Who are We're glad? We're glad, you asked Barry. Who
- 11:53Speaker 3: are the people in the masks in the back wearing
- 11:57Speaker 3: the shoot masks? We'll never know?
- 12:01Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I think that's all our listeners, right,
- 12:04Speaker 2: they're just Sheep fans. And in order to get a
- 12:08Speaker 2: good look at what's going on in the foreground, which
- 12:12Speaker 2: is the doctor Sheep character look the wrong way and
- 12:16Speaker 2: the Ewok character smashing him with is it? Is it
- 12:20Speaker 2: a hammer?
- 12:21Speaker 3: I think it's a chair as a chair tooth out?
- 12:29Speaker 4: Ye do you see that that that that that tooth
- 12:32Speaker 4: is popped out coming out? I have whacked him over
- 12:35Speaker 4: the head with a chair, which is the only way
- 12:37Speaker 4: that you should deal with the sheep and all of
- 12:39Speaker 4: his faithful.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Sheep entourage just staring as they've lifted up.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Meanwhile, in the background, someone is running off with our
- 12:47Speaker 4: little money pot from.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Our somebody's got the swear jar ship.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm saying is what's really going on here is Ewok's
- 12:58Speaker 1: performing a donkey punch on a sheet.
- 13:01Speaker 3: M No, this is definitely a chair shot, because I
- 13:04Speaker 3: think I've had many talks with mister Jeremy about wrestling
- 13:10Speaker 3: in the past, and he knows I'm a big wrestling fan,
- 13:13Speaker 3: so I think that's what That's just a chair shot.
- 13:16Speaker 3: But there are no steel chairs in the Crucible, just
- 13:18Speaker 3: wooden ones, so you get a wooden chair. We take
- 13:21Speaker 3: that as you will.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Uh some some extra little information things got a little
- 13:27Speaker 4: out of hand.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Yes, yes, that only happens most KFCs.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Uh this as this is actually.
- 13:39Speaker 2: A Chris Bomy art card.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Boys, Why does sheep get a banner in the back.
- 13:46Speaker 3: He's also not have masks on. He's got like.
- 13:49Speaker 1: A full on like birthday and our car.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Yes, so that this is an actual art card. We
- 13:58Speaker 4: can we have seen the extended art Sheep. Where does
- 14:01Speaker 4: this actually come.
- 14:02Speaker 1: From this comes from one of the many stories we've
- 14:06Speaker 1: told on this show. Yep, and this is an homage
- 14:10Speaker 1: of uh e wok cheap shopping, cheap shotting me in
- 14:14Speaker 1: the eye at my bachelor party.
- 14:17Speaker 2: That is correct.
- 14:20Speaker 1: So so indeed it is a sheep party going on.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yep, it was a bachelor party.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, there's any little ewok taking cheap shot.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yep. This art, I love it. I love this art.
- 14:38Speaker 4: What makes this even better is on the extended arts
- 14:42Speaker 4: of this but you cannot see in this card sheep
- 14:46Speaker 4: is actually bent over on essentially a pew or a
- 14:49Speaker 4: kneeling block that is wooden, like.
- 14:53Speaker 2: He is taking it.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah, if you it's if you, if you remember the
- 15:02Speaker 4: spankings from Vegas, that is what the extended art is.
- 15:06Speaker 3: It's all that is what it is. It almost like
- 15:10Speaker 3: uh is a weird dominatrix and she Yeah, so it is.
- 15:17Speaker 1: A of all us bottom.
- 15:20Speaker 3: We understand, Yeah, we do understand. We all get it out.
- 15:26Speaker 2: You don't shush. Another two is gonna come out.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Just for the listeners at home. I don't believe she's
- 15:33Speaker 3: just missing any teeth, like legitimately, Oh no, he was green.
- 15:38Speaker 5: He was green like a collector and icon part.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but there wasn't from that moment your head was
- 15:46Speaker 4: skins and that you vomited a lot, but you had
- 15:50Speaker 4: a wonderful time and uh lots.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Of stories untill the time.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, should we move into our nextired.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we should move and.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Do Barnaby two Power Human Thief from Shadows play steal one.
- 16:12Speaker 3: If your opponent has more ember than you, draw two
- 16:16Speaker 3: cards also at Common.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, finally improved Urchin.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, yeah, draw those, draw those cards. I want
- 16:29Speaker 2: a bunch of these. And it's not just because my beautiful,
- 16:33Speaker 2: beautiful face is on this card.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Dude, that is a stunning, stunning image.
- 16:38Speaker 1: We just want to know who your boyfriend is.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 16:43Speaker 3: For those of you wondering, is that dom Fham? Never mind?
- 16:49Speaker 5: What?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Nothing? It doesn't look anything like now if dom fam
- 16:54Speaker 2: had red hair.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Uh, this this looks like.
- 17:01Speaker 2: What I Russian counterpart here? What I was interested in?
- 17:05Speaker 2: I was like, all right, I basically I got a
- 17:07Speaker 2: whole bunch of pictures of me with my uh you know,
- 17:11Speaker 2: my coup glass full of cocktail, you know, sitting at
- 17:15Speaker 2: my bar drinking, lounging in my chair drinking drinking all
- 17:18Speaker 2: over the place, and I was like, I want to
- 17:20Speaker 2: be yeah, and I want to be uh, you know,
- 17:25Speaker 2: having a good time sharing a drink with friends, so
- 17:28Speaker 2: h or something like that. I forget exactly what a
- 17:31Speaker 2: prompt was. So here this is me clinking my glass
- 17:36Speaker 2: with two other fellow thieves, and then the flavor text
- 17:43Speaker 2: is put them on a tab boys, tell them the
- 17:45Speaker 2: names Jones. Now I love that man. Yeah, so so
- 17:50Speaker 2: the inside like, if you're paying attention, right, so Jones
- 17:54Speaker 2: that is the name of manon DG's the card cr Yes,
- 18:03Speaker 2: So I'm telling these guys to basically buying them drinks
- 18:09Speaker 2: and putting them on Manondig's tab, which I think is hilarious.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So so I'm loving this. It's a good card, It's
- 18:18Speaker 2: good art. Now here's my first time. Yeah, and I'm
- 18:24Speaker 2: gonna gotta I gotta think back to this. Are you
- 18:27Speaker 2: the first creature in the Crucible with glasses? Huh?
- 18:36Speaker 1: I mean blindses?
- 18:42Speaker 2: Maybe there there's definitely like uhguer yeah, like yeah, like
- 18:51Speaker 2: uh like we went back and look at the previous
- 18:53Speaker 2: art cards sunglasses, says Berry. Yeah, there's definitely there's there's
- 19:00Speaker 2: definitely a whole bunch right, but.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Stick out on this card as like glasses.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and if you missed it, uh, Reservist Jones is
- 19:09Speaker 4: MAM and D's personalized card.
- 19:11Speaker 2: So that's that is where the image is being paid to.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Oh we get ye Block's ponder right, which isn't our card? Right?
- 19:21Speaker 2: That's isn't that wizard random?
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Maybe? Uh these glasses.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Right, Uh, they might have been super There's also.
- 19:34Speaker 2: There's for locked. Wait, I think another one of the
- 19:37Speaker 2: logos are cards isn't stormstrongs have storm strong?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Uh?
- 19:45Speaker 2: Wait, hold on, hold.
- 19:46Speaker 4: On while you're looking at that now sheep, while you
- 19:51Speaker 4: want to head and talked about urchin, we're here. Steal
- 19:54Speaker 4: one this common is a common in shadows. I want
- 19:59Speaker 4: to see for this new shadowed realities. So play so
- 20:02Speaker 4: immediate effect, right there, play effect great, steal one good,
- 20:06Speaker 4: always always enjoyable. But here, if your opponent has more
- 20:09Speaker 4: amber than you, draw two cards, like how this could
- 20:13Speaker 4: set up they were flip flopped, draw two cards, steal one. Yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 4: if you did the check before, you still I did
- 20:25Speaker 4: the check before.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Now they got to be two amber ahead. So yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: there'll be plenty of opportunities where this thing. I mean,
- 20:33Speaker 1: it's like Ronnie, though you end up playing Ronnie for
- 20:35Speaker 1: one amber all the time and not get in the
- 20:37Speaker 1: second amber even though you want to hold it but
- 20:41Speaker 1: you can't.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Another before your key it is. Yeah, this is worth
- 20:52Speaker 1: a whole point more than Urchin. Oh yeah, I think
- 20:55Speaker 1: because the effel hit often enough. I'm not sure cutting
- 20:58Speaker 1: run is actually a whole point better than amstrong.
- 21:03Speaker 2: No it's not.
- 21:04Speaker 3: No, I also, uh another card you want to die,
- 21:10Speaker 3: no offense because you want to play it again hopefully
- 21:14Speaker 3: it runs and set hit and run and se.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I don'tay with sacrificing me. So Urchin is a three? Yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 2: I think this could be a four.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it could be a four.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I think Ronnie is a five. Yes, Ronnie is a five. Yeah, So.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Well, if Ronnie is a five, I think, isn't this
- 21:35Speaker 3: a better Ronnie?
- 21:37Speaker 1: No? No, this doesn't ever steal.
- 21:39Speaker 2: No, it doesn't more.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Than drawing two cards extra is worth more than they
- 21:47Speaker 3: have to be ahead on amber, which yeah yeah, yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 3: but you got to be a head on amber to
- 21:52Speaker 3: steal too.
- 21:54Speaker 1: No, no.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Seven or more?
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's all that it is.
- 22:00Speaker 1: It's like this is this is closer to pinture malloy.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Very very nice, very Barry pulls up in our over
- 22:08Speaker 4: the comments uh grammaticus thracks with those beautiful glasses there
- 22:12Speaker 4: there you go.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Yeah I missed it, you know, with the big ass
- 22:17Speaker 3: bill miss.
- 22:21Speaker 4: I think that this image is very well done. I
- 22:24Speaker 4: think it's classy. I think that it turned out better
- 22:29Speaker 4: than some of the other personalized dark cards that I've seen.
- 22:32Speaker 4: So I really like this dress you walk, I'm happy, Yeah,
- 22:39Speaker 4: there's I think. I think that it is still a
- 22:44Speaker 4: very very enjoyable experience and part of what's coming up
- 22:48Speaker 4: from Game Fountain. So we can go ahead and talk there.
- 22:51Speaker 5: This will still be listed as.
- 22:54Speaker 3: That that that was passive aggressive shade, right sheep, Like
- 22:57Speaker 3: that's what I heard, right.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Architecture of the Crucid Premium like, okay, so you have
- 23:02Speaker 4: a bit of decks that are coming similar to the
- 23:05Speaker 4: Arctic Crucible at fifteen hundred, but the Premium has grus
- 23:09Speaker 4: Bow of me and so for that extra five hundred dollars.
- 23:12Speaker 5: I think that some of these have felt.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Really really really good, and there are some that they
- 23:20Speaker 4: have decreased the amount of communication.
- 23:22Speaker 5: But I will argue.
- 23:24Speaker 1: That no communication on this one.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Yeah you're lucky, but Draz has turned out really well,
- 23:30Speaker 4: but I will say this, Gigi has made it right
- 23:33Speaker 4: for others when that communication was lacking and the art
- 23:36Speaker 4: did not come out as was intended.
- 23:39Speaker 2: So it is still something that we are.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Aware of two situations where art cards was given to
- 23:44Speaker 1: the person and basically they rejected it, So we we
- 23:49Speaker 1: know have two of those situations now. So yes, Draz
- 23:51Speaker 1: got lucky in that his was like, oh, yeah, this
- 23:54Speaker 1: is me, this is what I asked for. Yep, now
- 23:57Speaker 1: you ask fairly simple, full thing, so that is helpful. Like,
- 24:03Speaker 1: I know, the art prompts that were given for Cut
- 24:08Speaker 1: and Run were moderately complex and they did not actually
- 24:11Speaker 1: hit all of the requests as as defined, But oh.
- 24:16Speaker 4: I don't think that's a problem. I still think this
- 24:18Speaker 4: one turned out great, So Cutting Run.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It's fine, And I think keeping your art prompts simpler
- 24:28Speaker 1: is uh going to result in more success.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I agree. I agree.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It's kind of like AI, like the more crack you
- 24:37Speaker 1: put in, the weirder it gets, where if you just
- 24:39Speaker 1: use like a few words, you'll get those things.
- 24:42Speaker 3: It's almost like a shattered reality.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Something like that.
- 24:54Speaker 3: That was as close to the X Files as I
- 24:56Speaker 3: was going to get.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I mean I knew what that was X files. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 2: good to Now.
- 25:05Speaker 3: I can only I can only do that. And let's
- 25:07Speaker 3: the other paranormal paranormal, I don't know whatever that show
- 25:11Speaker 3: that my wife watches with with the two ghost hunters
- 25:16Speaker 3: or whatever it is, I don't know what they And
- 25:19Speaker 3: uh yeah, the other one supernatural. That's the one supernatural.
- 25:25Speaker 2: There you go. Dean in the other one, yep.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Dean in the other one, I don't remember his name
- 25:29Speaker 3: Dean And yup, I don't remember him. Sorry, not gonna happen.
- 25:34Speaker 4: But okay, So while while you're coming back, there's still
- 25:39Speaker 4: quite a bit of previews coming up from some great
- 25:41Speaker 4: content creators.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Definitely go check well, but.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Anyone who is consistently being able to come here and
- 25:50Speaker 4: talk about I'm gonna get some some plugs, so go
- 25:53Speaker 4: check it out.
- 25:56Speaker 2: And outside of that, it's we do still have flocks
- 26:03Speaker 2: them all coming, so that's cool. A bunch of Actually
- 26:07Speaker 2: I don't know this, Lee del CROGI I think they're French. Sure,
- 26:14Speaker 2: I don't know things that.
- 26:17Speaker 4: That is a constant creator who's been consistent in the past.
- 26:19Speaker 4: You have bad Penny Press.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, actually, this guy looks familiar. I think he was. Yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 2: he's done stuff. Yeah, all right, so that's cool. Yeah,
- 26:26Speaker 2: he did a.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Thing to French. I thought this was I thought this
- 26:29Speaker 4: was a talent he's had.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Italian.
- 26:33Speaker 2: He is Italian.
- 26:33Speaker 3: He is Italian. You're right, Italian, Bad Penny Press. He
- 26:36Speaker 3: also he also uses ai in his in his thumbnails.
- 26:42Speaker 3: You guys want to go give him ship.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Again refocusing you Bad Penny Press coming up next Monday,
- 26:52Speaker 4: Team on Tuesday, Wednesday's Ugly Strew flocks them all on Thursday,
- 26:56Speaker 4: and finishing with Worcaster Forge on Friday.
- 26:59Speaker 2: So that is amazing.
- 27:04Speaker 1: And the Brazilian one.
- 27:06Speaker 5: Yes, we'll be coming in the twenty seventh.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Uh so the actual campaign launches on the twenty third,
- 27:14Speaker 4: so we're coming up pretty quick here, guys. That's next
- 27:18Speaker 4: week Thursday, week from today.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Uh what houses are here?
- 27:22Speaker 4: We've gone through this before, but brob, the Mars Ubero's Shadows,
- 27:27Speaker 4: star Liance on Federal and Untamed and your pledged tiers
- 27:31Speaker 4: are pretty consistent with what we've seen in the past
- 27:33Speaker 4: and nowviously the Crucible, Seeker of DECKX, Reaper of Amber,
- 27:37Speaker 4: Breaker of Chains, Turn of Keys, Architect Crucible, and the
- 27:41Speaker 4: premium tiers those are all this This year is update
- 27:46Speaker 4: five man Update number five, so they will have personalized
- 27:51Speaker 4: decks coming back. They will not have play mats because
- 27:55Speaker 4: you can go ahead and order your custom playmat on
- 27:57Speaker 4: keep Barging dot com, which we are still waiting for.
- 28:02Speaker 4: We want our custom art and I bet you Barnaby
- 28:06Speaker 4: would be another great one.
- 28:07Speaker 3: To have up there. So man, I bet you if
- 28:09Speaker 3: you made that a custom art, like five of them
- 28:11Speaker 3: would sell.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Ah, well, we have something else that we want first,
- 28:18Speaker 4: but yes, there are a couple that would definitely go.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I mean, I don't need a Barnaby dart board.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Oh okay go for anyways, let's move on into the
- 28:31Speaker 3: Wednesday slash Sunday Night Fun Loco Car's retirement party. Guys,
- 28:37Speaker 3: what happened with Loco Car?
- 28:42Speaker 1: He got sick a finding all his time now that
- 28:49Speaker 1: people are playing in person, you know, online play is
- 28:52Speaker 1: down to that kind of stuff. So yeah, he's gotten
- 28:57Speaker 1: super busy with light dude.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Yeah, he he's super busy with life and we all
- 29:02Speaker 4: take those swings up and down with mom and dad
- 29:05Speaker 4: life and adult life. Pete has taken over the rains
- 29:08Speaker 4: and is still running Wednesday, so we still do have
- 29:10Speaker 4: Wednesday and Sunday night fun that is happening here on
- 29:13Speaker 4: Arkans Corner.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Discord.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Uh, but if you.
- 29:17Speaker 4: See people on Sunday and Wednesdays, stop by yesterday night,
- 29:20Speaker 4: what do we have? We had ten players, thirteen people
- 29:22Speaker 4: just in there chatting. It was actually a little bit
- 29:26Speaker 4: of a stimuli overload, which was both good and baad.
- 29:30Speaker 4: It was really good, but there was a lot of chatter.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Fun Alliance Vault.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. Well more people, yep.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Yes, we're now bigger than Alliance.
- 29:42Speaker 4: All right, and with that, let's get into some Baltimore
- 29:47Speaker 4: twenty twenty six.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Baltimore. I refused to call it Baltimore. It was the
- 29:51Speaker 3: Baltimore Vault Tour.
- 29:52Speaker 2: You just heard right now twice.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Ben players an Alliance. They didn't even have a top.
- 30:00Speaker 2: They did not have it.
- 30:01Speaker 4: To meil, there were multiple people kicking themselves because you
- 30:04Speaker 4: actually would have gotten some really spicy VM twenty six.
- 30:07Speaker 2: All you do is show up. I gotten two or
- 30:10Speaker 2: three free geotag sex if I had just.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I felt good about yourself.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yes, no, yes, get that invite boy, don't be too proud.
- 30:23Speaker 3: It's not even about invite for but you get an
- 30:27Speaker 3: invite the fucking runner up.
- 30:30Speaker 2: That's true, but you.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Know, run it up here and they're not pile good.
- 30:35Speaker 2: So yeah, you could have just dropped, you know. You
- 30:39Speaker 2: know I should have done is figure out how to
- 30:42Speaker 2: enter both.
- 30:45Speaker 5: Uh, you can't do that, and then you got.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Ro registered and then you drop right and at the
- 30:56Speaker 4: registration desk, who are They're like?
- 31:00Speaker 3: That was exactly what Kyle did, like entered both, just
- 31:03Speaker 3: dropped from one.
- 31:04Speaker 4: No because Kimeira, Yeah he did no kanged, Yeah, Kimera
- 31:12Speaker 4: changed because he actually had.
- 31:15Speaker 1: You should have done registered for both. Then when the
- 31:18Speaker 1: round started, just conceded the game and that was no,
- 31:22Speaker 1: no an alliance and then went and played.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Yet it is not it is not, it is not allowed.
- 31:28Speaker 4: It was an honest mistake. He had decks that he
- 31:33Speaker 4: was trying to go hide and.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Play, telling two different stories here, aren't we.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 31:36Speaker 5: The pod, the pod, Sir Saint Louis.
- 31:40Speaker 4: The pod was not moved over in MASTERBALLT and that
- 31:44Speaker 4: caused problems.
- 31:45Speaker 5: So I like that is an honest stag.
- 31:48Speaker 4: The deck, his whole archive is his his deck. Yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 4: his deck was not shared in master vault. So while
- 31:54Speaker 4: he physically had the copy right there with him it
- 31:58Speaker 4: you couldn't play it, and so they were.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Person and you are no fun at making up bad rumors.
- 32:09Speaker 4: That was Gigi actually being nice and letting him go
- 32:12Speaker 4: ahead and switch over, and then it turned out well
- 32:14Speaker 4: because he qualified for Alliance under it. I think that
- 32:19Speaker 4: being able to qualify on Alliance both first or second
- 32:22Speaker 4: is it requires a lot, and so I feel bad
- 32:26Speaker 4: for anyone who likes Alliance and wants to be able
- 32:29Speaker 4: to play and play at that time. But I feel
- 32:35Speaker 4: that there is a difference by just slopping in in
- 32:39Speaker 4: the eighth spot in order to get three decks versus
- 32:41Speaker 4: people who have put together an alliance and are passionate
- 32:44Speaker 4: about it. Unfortunately, in my opinion, In my opinion, it
- 32:50Speaker 4: should be prized based on how many people are there,
- 32:52Speaker 4: and Bro it needs to go. It's not about agency,
- 32:57Speaker 4: it's just mind for it to go. But we're going
- 32:59Speaker 4: to We're going to finish this year with it. But
- 33:03Speaker 4: I really do hope that they have enough information going
- 33:05Speaker 4: forward that it just moves to a different area. And
- 33:09Speaker 4: I'm sorry for the few people that we'll lose, but
- 33:11Speaker 4: support it.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Support at gg dot com or whatever that website is.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Make draft a vault tour.
- 33:23Speaker 4: No, no, that is horrible. We're gonna do sealed and
- 33:27Speaker 4: more ss s.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Stop.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Can't you guys just agree with me so it doesn't happen,
- 33:32Speaker 3: because now this is going to happen, you realize, like
- 33:37Speaker 3: poking it into existence.
- 33:39Speaker 4: So Baltimore, talk to me Drafts because you were actually
- 33:42Speaker 4: there and some stuff happened.
- 33:44Speaker 2: What happened Thursday night? Uh yeah? So uh so Thursday night.
- 33:52Speaker 2: So I actually was not there Thursday night because I
- 33:55Speaker 2: live not terribly far from.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Fine, let's skip it goodbye.
- 34:00Speaker 2: But no, I will talk about what I put it
- 34:02Speaker 2: in there because I wanted to talk about what happened.
- 34:04Speaker 2: So what they did, what the Bay Witches did is
- 34:08Speaker 2: they hosted, like so the regular Thursday night event. It
- 34:15Speaker 2: is Thursday night. So they said, hey, folks, if you're
- 34:18Speaker 2: coming on in, come and play, we'll play a special event.
- 34:21Speaker 2: And they said, hey, we're gonna steal the event from
- 34:26Speaker 2: our Pennsylvania friends. So that's that's that's us, all right.
- 34:31Speaker 2: So but we said that's fine, that's fine. I said
- 34:34Speaker 2: here from my lawyers. But I don't actually know who
- 34:38Speaker 2: came over with this. I don't know if it was
- 34:39Speaker 2: us or somebody else. But they did a token double
- 34:43Speaker 2: token sealed, so you purchase one woe deck and one
- 34:48Speaker 2: top deck and you have to use at least one
- 34:52Speaker 2: pod from each deck and then you rock and roll.
- 34:56Speaker 2: This is what we've been doing for our Alliance store championships. Uh,
- 35:02Speaker 2: and so that's what they did. Apparently there was twenty
- 35:05Speaker 2: some people that came out and played. They had a
- 35:09Speaker 2: cool double Arab Alliance boom. Yeah. Yeah, they had a
- 35:15Speaker 2: cool Alliant or a cool trophy like a crab because
- 35:19Speaker 2: Baltimore cool crab trophy that they had three D printed
- 35:24Speaker 2: and it apparently it was a lot of fun and
- 35:27Speaker 2: people had a people had a good ass time. So
- 35:31Speaker 2: I was I was almost like, oh, darn, you know what,
- 35:33Speaker 2: should have maybe should have started renting the because the
- 35:38Speaker 2: local crew that weredacted guys here rented an Airbnb and
- 35:43Speaker 2: crammed a lot of dudes in a small house, and
- 35:47Speaker 2: maybe we should have rented on Thursday night as well.
- 35:50Speaker 2: That way we could have come down and played in this,
- 35:52Speaker 2: but we didn't. But we didn't. So I came down
- 35:57Speaker 2: on Friday morning and jumped right into see old for
- 36:06Speaker 2: uh Dracodia measures, which had fifty nine players in that
- 36:15Speaker 2: in that event, and I felt reasonably good about my
- 36:25Speaker 2: decks and not I don't think they were amazing, but
- 36:30Speaker 2: I was like all right, unlike when I played last
- 36:33Speaker 2: time in Portland, was the last one I did where
- 36:35Speaker 2: I just had trash, felt like I'd actually had stuff
- 36:37Speaker 2: I could do, so so that was good. So I
- 36:42Speaker 2: managed that first day to go undefeated, which was pretty awesome.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Uh you know, beat that x ray guy and uh
- 36:55Speaker 2: you know, it was very very close match, showed and
- 37:00Speaker 2: what's up, and then went into got to go into
- 37:05Speaker 2: day two as as undefeated, which was which is pretty awesome.
- 37:09Speaker 2: So I did not because I was doing well, did
- 37:12Speaker 2: not get to play in the side event, which was
- 37:16Speaker 2: sealed VM twenty four. Now everybody was like correctly making
- 37:24Speaker 2: jokes about how they still have sealed VM twenty four
- 37:27Speaker 2: because the set's not that great and they are struggling
- 37:30Speaker 2: to figure out how to get rid of it, which
- 37:33Speaker 2: is correct. But this I thought was a really cool
- 37:38Speaker 2: way to do it, because VM twenty four is a
- 37:40Speaker 2: really fun sealed set. So a bunch of people played it.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I heard a lot of people had a lot of
- 37:45Speaker 2: fun and they they they got to go. I think
- 37:52Speaker 2: it was by two open two pick one, so it
- 37:58Speaker 2: was it was not a lot sealed arc on I guess,
- 38:02Speaker 2: so it's true sealed, but you got to pick from two.
- 38:06Speaker 4: You're so our good friends at Arkhan or Kana do
- 38:10Speaker 4: have all the information listed, so thanks for everyone tracking
- 38:12Speaker 4: information down. But yeah, two decks sealed ARCon standard and
- 38:16Speaker 4: that's where you know, two decks pick one, twenty eight
- 38:19Speaker 4: players and the winner being Hurricane Relics, So shout out
- 38:22Speaker 4: to him man.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Yep so, And there was a whole bunch of prizes
- 38:27Speaker 2: that get given out at these side events. These side
- 38:31Speaker 2: offense just feel so much better than Second Ember. Lots
- 38:36Speaker 2: of cool prizing, right, Hurricane Roller got made off with
- 38:41Speaker 2: the Geo tag deck. Plus there was just a whole
- 38:44Speaker 2: bunch of decks that were thrown in, so all top
- 38:48Speaker 2: players got a whole bunch of decks, which was pretty cool.
- 38:52Speaker 2: So I will I will second that. Definitely feel they
- 39:02Speaker 2: feel better.
- 39:04Speaker 1: They feeling Listen to the feedback of putting the sealed
- 39:08Speaker 1: event on Saturday night and the selected deck event on
- 39:14Speaker 1: Friday night, like my sealed feels just still feels weird,
- 39:19Speaker 1: Like why is it not reversed?
- 39:21Speaker 4: I agree with you sheep that that would be the
- 39:24Speaker 4: one transition, like the one change that I would make
- 39:26Speaker 4: for next year. But I do like that the alternative
- 39:30Speaker 4: formats are pulling people in. I mean, twenty eight players
- 39:33Speaker 4: is a substantial amount out of the fifty nine who
- 39:37Speaker 4: showed up for Sealed. You had a number that really
- 39:40Speaker 4: wanted to be able to play. I do think it's
- 39:42Speaker 4: limiting other like, here's a quick pot of eight to
- 39:46Speaker 4: go out and play. That doesn't necessarily happen, but I'd
- 39:49Speaker 4: much rather have here's your main Sealed event or main
- 39:52Speaker 4: arc on Alliance Events, and then here as the side events.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Or alternative format guide.
- 39:57Speaker 4: So it it was super fun. When I was over
- 40:01Speaker 4: in Saint Louis to play, I was very happy with it.
- 40:06Speaker 2: So so yeah, so we finish up our our games
- 40:12Speaker 2: and everybody's real hungry, and of course, you know, everybody's like,
- 40:16Speaker 2: where are we going? So I'm like, we're going. We're
- 40:19Speaker 2: going downtown. And so it's like, all right, well, we
- 40:24Speaker 2: got to drop our stuff at the house, and so
- 40:26Speaker 2: some people left from the store, some of us went
- 40:30Speaker 2: back and dropped our stuff at the Airbnb, and then
- 40:35Speaker 2: like some people carpool. But then there was not enough
- 40:38Speaker 2: people wanted to drive because you know, we're drinking. So
- 40:43Speaker 2: like I, you know, I end up order an uber
- 40:45Speaker 2: and you know, so there was all sorts of various
- 40:49Speaker 2: ways to get down there. But the folks that drove
- 40:55Speaker 2: themselves versus Uber, right, they they got to leave a
- 40:58Speaker 2: little earlier. So out of the car with X ray, right,
- 41:03Speaker 2: and we're the Uber. We're you know, driving down the road,
- 41:06Speaker 2: jump on the highway into into downtown and suddenly there's
- 41:11Speaker 2: like police car, police lights and flashing lights and then
- 41:18Speaker 2: all the cars just come to a stop and we
- 41:22Speaker 2: sit and we sit and we sit for like thirty
- 41:30Speaker 2: plus minutes, just sitting on the highway, like people are
- 41:32Speaker 2: getting out of their cars walking around. It's like, oh
- 41:37Speaker 2: my gosh. So I'm like text the you know, the
- 41:44Speaker 2: chatting a discord. I'm like, hey, are you guys stuck
- 41:48Speaker 2: on the highway too, And kick of Blig's like we
- 41:52Speaker 2: have drinks. We all have drinks. We're at the at
- 41:54Speaker 2: the barn, we have drinks.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I'm like, damn it.
- 41:58Speaker 2: So so we sit there for a long time. Finally
- 42:04Speaker 2: we go and it all just releases it once and
- 42:07Speaker 2: all there was was a crane with some guys and
- 42:11Speaker 2: vests and but there was power lines. So our guess
- 42:15Speaker 2: is that there was something wrong with the power lines
- 42:19Speaker 2: and they decided that wins might fall and so they
- 42:23Speaker 2: needed to stop traffic on the highway and repair it.
- 42:28Speaker 2: So that sucked because it was not that far ahead
- 42:31Speaker 2: of us, Like if they had stop traffic literally like
- 42:35Speaker 2: one minute later, thirty seconds later, we would have zipped
- 42:38Speaker 2: through it. So it took us forever to get to
- 42:42Speaker 2: this place, which was unfortunate.
- 42:43Speaker 4: But we show up at Bunnies, Buckets and Bubbles. What
- 42:53Speaker 4: say it again, Yeah, Bunnies, Buckets and Bubbles.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Which, yeah, I actually got a strip club.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I looked it up.
- 43:04Speaker 4: It's like a chicken chicken wings likely fried chicken, and
- 43:10Speaker 4: champagne cocktails is their situation.
- 43:14Speaker 2: So uh so that was kind of a weird combination.
- 43:17Speaker 2: As I was looking stuff up, I'm like, hell, yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 2: we're gonna do this. So my original plan was to
- 43:24Speaker 2: uh take a picture of the sign out front that
- 43:27Speaker 2: says Bunnies, Buckets and bubbles, but offortually, the sign doesn't
- 43:31Speaker 2: actually say it. It just has like like a big rooster.
- 43:36Speaker 2: So I was gonna take that picture and send it
- 43:39Speaker 2: to uh to g right to blinking line and be
- 43:44Speaker 2: like you're missing out because you know, he's the kind
- 43:47Speaker 2: of sore of of of strip clubs. But this was
- 43:53Speaker 2: not a strip club. So chicken was real good. Uh,
- 43:59Speaker 2: cocktails were pretty goo it and there was a whole
- 44:02Speaker 2: ton of people there. It was like a big old
- 44:04Speaker 2: crowd and a whole bunch of folks were at this
- 44:09Speaker 2: big table. But we got there so late. We ended
- 44:11Speaker 2: up at the bar with some other folks, so few
- 44:13Speaker 2: of us sat at the bar. The rest were at
- 44:15Speaker 2: the giant table they had and it was a good
- 44:19Speaker 2: ass time. And then after we oh, actually crazy. The
- 44:25Speaker 2: best thing was the they had deviled eggs topped with
- 44:30Speaker 2: crab meat because Baltimore, and that was awesome. Yeah, there
- 44:35Speaker 2: you go. You walked right, there's the het the picture
- 44:37Speaker 2: in the chat that is the rooster that's outside this place.
- 44:45Speaker 2: But sure I can't. Yeah, lifted upper skirt so that
- 44:53Speaker 2: I mean, that's what you doing, buddies, buckets, bubbles. So
- 44:56Speaker 2: so at that point, a bunch of folks were, you know,
- 45:00Speaker 2: whiny about how tired they were and how they wanted
- 45:04Speaker 2: to go home and they were weak. So I was like, wow,
- 45:09Speaker 2: I'm actually not x ray believe it or not believe
- 45:13Speaker 2: it or not, x Ray, Uh, it was, you know,
- 45:18Speaker 2: it was. It was. It was a bunch of my locals.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Like I was like, come on, dudes, Like King of
- 45:24Speaker 2: Playing was like I'm tired of going back, you know,
- 45:27Speaker 2: all the whatever guys. So I'm like, x Ray, We're
- 45:32Speaker 2: going drinking, right, He's like yes, So I just start
- 45:35Speaker 2: walking right, get us to a cocktail bar, and uh
- 45:43Speaker 2: got to the elk room. This sweet giant elk head,
- 45:45Speaker 2: the stuffed elkhead with like a bandolier of undaberg bottles
- 45:51Speaker 2: on it, and the other look at you you walk
- 45:54Speaker 2: on the on the ball with these pictures share, Yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 2: you can see the the the big elkhead in the
- 45:59Speaker 2: chat there and the bar situation.
- 46:01Speaker 4: So we looked very It looked very Wisconsin with all
- 46:03Speaker 4: the hunters, Like I could totally see the or deer.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Mounds being everywhere.
- 46:09Speaker 2: So this made me. It was it was a good
- 46:11Speaker 2: ass time. We we had a whole bunch of drinks
- 46:16Speaker 2: and you know, we were uber and so it was
- 46:18Speaker 2: fine and uh it was very tasty. There was live
- 46:24Speaker 2: music there, but it like wasn't ultra loud. It was
- 46:27Speaker 2: like a little like jazz situation, and uh, it was
- 46:31Speaker 2: it was really chill. It was really cool.
- 46:35Speaker 4: And if I'm correct, so you had finished six oh
- 46:38Speaker 4: acts are also finished in the top eight there, So
- 46:43Speaker 4: you guys did play the top eight game that night, correct.
- 46:48Speaker 2: That's right. Yes, we did play the round of eight
- 46:51Speaker 2: before going to the establishment, Is that right?
- 46:59Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 46:59Speaker 2: Yeah, we should top the round of eight, so both
- 47:02Speaker 2: x Ray and I moved on.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Yeah, because the top four, like the people who were
- 47:08Speaker 4: top eight, like five through eight who lost in that
- 47:12Speaker 4: first round.
- 47:13Speaker 5: Shout out to General Store Moussemand No.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Seventy two and quick Draw for going ahead and placing
- 47:19Speaker 4: the top eight section and then in the top four. Yeah,
- 47:25Speaker 4: you had yourself, Cats and Dogs, x Ray and Stormstrong
- 47:29Speaker 4: all going to fight it out on Saturday determined who's
- 47:31Speaker 4: going to actually take home uh the trophy the first place,
- 47:35Speaker 4: and also who's going to qualify for World So awesome job, guys,
- 47:40Speaker 4: great job.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Yeah. My plan was to get x Ray wasted, and
- 47:44Speaker 2: so I did, and uh I should have gotten I
- 47:52Speaker 2: should have got cats with Dogs and storm Strong stuff too,
- 47:56Speaker 2: but you know, what are you gonna do? So uh
- 48:01Speaker 2: but so eventually we we uh uh stumble back or
- 48:05Speaker 2: you know, get the huber finally get back to the
- 48:08Speaker 2: house and uh, you know, the get there and the
- 48:12Speaker 2: guys who were like we're too tired, They're all up
- 48:14Speaker 2: just at like chatting and talking and and uh whatever there.
- 48:20Speaker 2: So uh so I'm like I got to pound some water,
- 48:23Speaker 2: and so I'm just like pounding water because you know,
- 48:26Speaker 2: I'm like stumbled around the house and I'm like, I'm
- 48:29Speaker 2: gonna fall asleep right here in the living room. So
- 48:31Speaker 2: I stumbled into bed, full sleep.
- 48:35Speaker 3: And uh uh.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Wake up the next morning feeling great, nice, and uh.
- 48:44Speaker 6: You know who was not feeling great? Thanks Ray, thanks right,
- 48:50Speaker 6: Like oh oh, I was like, come on, dude, you
- 48:55Speaker 6: gotta hydrate.
- 48:56Speaker 2: So uh but yep, Saturday was Arkan. So I actually
- 49:06Speaker 2: played my new Draconian measures deck.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Wait wait, wait say that again for the audience.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I played a Jaconian measures deck and on Saturday.
- 49:21Speaker 4: On Saturday there were fifty one ARCon players and then
- 49:25Speaker 4: seven Alliance players.
- 49:27Speaker 1: There's sixty six tickets sold and only fifty seven people played.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Fifty eight fifty eight.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Yeah, so not everyone showed up, but or or they
- 49:37Speaker 2: played just the side events.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I don't know they were truly there just for a craptive.
- 49:45Speaker 3: I mean, there was was for adaptive.
- 49:49Speaker 2: There was definitely people who were those just there for adaptive, who.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Dropped three to one to go play adaptive.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Mm hmm. There was definitely people. Yeah, I think yeah,
- 50:02Speaker 2: I think like quick draw might have done that too, right,
- 50:05Speaker 2: Like there was there was definitely some folks that drag.
- 50:08Speaker 3: I would like to give them my ability to be
- 50:11Speaker 3: a vault warrior to play adaptive.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Yeah that the hill, like what you like, I will
- 50:18Speaker 2: to die on.
- 50:19Speaker 4: I will say that our kund adaptive did pull twenty
- 50:22Speaker 4: five players as an alternative format and the eventual winner
- 50:27Speaker 4: was NOBE seventy two.
- 50:29Speaker 1: So is that a higher than that? Isn't even higher
- 50:32Speaker 1: than some of the ones that are very similar to
- 50:35Speaker 1: the numbers of the ones that Saint Louis.
- 50:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you're saying for side events.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Yeah, not like It's not like the whole room was like,
- 50:44Speaker 1: oh it's adaptively, I play that.
- 50:46Speaker 5: No.
- 50:47Speaker 4: I mean what you're really seeing is because they had
- 50:50Speaker 4: Baltimore had the most amount of players, again compared to
- 50:53Speaker 4: Portland and Saint Louis. But what we are seeing here
- 50:58Speaker 4: is that basically, out of fifty eight players, you had
- 51:04Speaker 4: twenty five that went and played in the alternative format.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Out of the fifty nine and on Friday you had
- 51:10Speaker 4: twenty eight that played in the alternative format.
- 51:12Speaker 5: So it's getting good pull.
- 51:14Speaker 4: But I don't see Adaptive as being something like, yes,
- 51:20Speaker 4: some people played, they were very but I don't pull J. T.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Russell in. He didn't even show up.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Well yeah, yeah.
- 51:29Speaker 4: But it does pull some people in. It had a
- 51:32Speaker 4: good turnout. I will give a spoiler here for the
- 51:38Speaker 4: top eight for Arkhan DM draz.
- 51:41Speaker 2: How did you do? I went to and two There
- 51:47Speaker 2: was no There was.
- 51:48Speaker 4: No DM that made top eight, so you can yeah, yeah,
- 51:52Speaker 4: you know. I I I was a little sad. I
- 51:56Speaker 4: actually almost almost beat uh cast Revere, who made top
- 52:02Speaker 4: eight with a pretty cool BV deck and I my yeah,
- 52:08Speaker 4: my two oul switcheroos were in the bottom like five
- 52:13Speaker 4: or six cards, both of them, and I just needed
- 52:15Speaker 4: to draw one.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Of them to basically win. I was. I had so
- 52:19Speaker 2: hard and I couldn't so that that would have been
- 52:22Speaker 2: a cool win, but nope, lost that game to PV
- 52:26Speaker 2: of course, and then.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Play Adaptive.
- 52:33Speaker 2: I actually ended up doing so quick draw badgered me
- 52:36Speaker 2: into doing it, and uh oh, I actually regretted my decision.
- 52:44Speaker 5: I regretted my decision.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like they were pitting chance. I was like,
- 52:50Speaker 2: I don't know, I just want to play my deck.
- 52:52Speaker 2: I played way too many chains. I don't like, this
- 52:54Speaker 2: is stupid this so uh whatever I mean up too.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I was definitely out, but maybe I should have just
- 53:07Speaker 2: kept playing. But anyway, but uh, yeah, no, my other
- 53:16Speaker 2: loss was just one of the absolute worst straws I've
- 53:21Speaker 2: had in a long long time. Played against foolish Big
- 53:24Speaker 2: J and even he like party through the game. He's like,
- 53:27Speaker 2: you keep drawing the cards that do nothing. This turn,
- 53:30Speaker 2: that last turn would have totally destroyed me, Like, yeah, yeah,
- 53:35Speaker 2: this keeps happening. Yeah it was. It was rough. It
- 53:39Speaker 2: was rough, but the but I have fun. I'd fun
- 53:47Speaker 2: trying it. I was hoping to do a little better,
- 53:51Speaker 2: but I you know, against good TV, didn't super suspect
- 53:58Speaker 2: that I would would do well, but a sort of hoping.
- 54:01Speaker 2: So I don't know now off the now, I have
- 54:03Speaker 2: to figure out what I'm doing for Vietnam in the
- 54:05Speaker 2: next few weeks.
- 54:05Speaker 4: So well, while we're talking here, Top eight for our conboys,
- 54:12Speaker 4: we had two gr amber skies and then five PV
- 54:17Speaker 4: now out of the gr uh dumb fam head Dnatus
- 54:22Speaker 4: which won last year, so it's a well known deck
- 54:25Speaker 4: and the amber Sky's deck is Mammon on Olympio, and
- 54:28Speaker 4: Olympio has actually top eighted or top four for every
- 54:32Speaker 4: single vault tour so far. So that is Saint Louis
- 54:36Speaker 4: that he's nowt here well, that he's played it in correct,
- 54:40Speaker 4: that he has played it in my apologies, But.
- 54:45Speaker 5: What do you think about PV still showing up five
- 54:48Speaker 5: out of the eight.
- 54:49Speaker 2: For Arkhan did not surprising?
- 54:51Speaker 4: It's yeah, that's kind of where I am too.
- 54:54Speaker 2: It's of the eight decks, you've got two you know,
- 54:59Speaker 2: known quantity is like way above the curve in their
- 55:03Speaker 2: respective sets.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Uh.
- 55:05Speaker 2: And then really just it was really just the one
- 55:10Speaker 2: the one deck that was a little bit unknown that
- 55:14Speaker 2: was outside PV, right, so shift was just and PV
- 55:19Speaker 2: yeah the shiftless Footman.
- 55:21Speaker 4: Christ Yeah, Ko Kathy, which finished actually top four on
- 55:25Speaker 4: that gr Have you guys looked at that with the
- 55:30Speaker 4: amount of disruption that's there.
- 55:33Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go dot com and I'm gonna bring
- 55:37Speaker 2: it up.
- 55:37Speaker 5: You you can go ahead and do that.
- 55:39Speaker 4: Now, I as a teacher and being done with my
- 55:42Speaker 4: own vacation, so it's nice to be back. I was
- 55:44Speaker 4: able to not be at Baltimore, which made me sad,
- 55:48Speaker 4: but I was able to go ahead and kind of
- 55:50Speaker 4: watch as I was out working in the yard, reading
- 55:53Speaker 4: and other things. But Shiftless Whoopman was shown on on.
- 55:58Speaker 5: The actual cast.
- 56:00Speaker 4: It was a bummer that early on there was nobody casting,
- 56:03Speaker 4: But I do appreciate DRez that you and who else
- 56:06Speaker 4: was with you on Sunday. I wasn't there for Metal Zaa,
- 56:09Speaker 4: but I was there Friday and Saturday and basically spent
- 56:14Speaker 4: the whole day on both days following along. But Shipless
- 56:17Speaker 4: Footman by Kakathy really stood out to me. There are
- 56:21Speaker 4: three recklessnesses. You also have memorialized the fall on cacophonist riots,
- 56:28Speaker 4: and then you have double market fluctuation. So each haunted
- 56:32Speaker 4: player draws three, each player that is not haunted discards three.
- 56:36Speaker 4: And what was actually said, I believe it was from
- 56:38Speaker 4: Kathy when I heard it, was that he just basically
- 56:40Speaker 4: plays it as five recklessness. So the idea that you're
- 56:44Speaker 4: going to go ahead and have that disruption pretty consistently
- 56:48Speaker 4: and then Fiery Jark to be able to kind of
- 56:50Speaker 4: bounce and kill key creatures, it definitely stood out Reaper
- 56:57Speaker 4: for removing some key creatures coming in the double energy
- 57:02Speaker 4: vampirism in here somewhere, So it was a double permanent
- 57:07Speaker 4: record too for some nice steal. It definitely stood out
- 57:11Speaker 4: to me as a deck, but the Brobner had had
- 57:15Speaker 4: quite a bit going.
- 57:16Speaker 2: On, especially with the recklessness. So yeah, I believe I
- 57:21Speaker 2: think it was Mammon who lost to this deck in
- 57:24Speaker 2: the round of eight, and he said he was like, yeah,
- 57:27Speaker 2: it just all the cards that he had just kept
- 57:30Speaker 2: getting hit out of his hand, right, He's like, first
- 57:32Speaker 2: recklessness just took out both his doctor xes, right, It's
- 57:36Speaker 2: like oh oh, and so he just couldn't couldn't get
- 57:40Speaker 2: his stuff going, and uh, yeah, it's hard. It's hard
- 57:45Speaker 2: when you know your stuff just keeps getting discarded. You know,
- 57:51Speaker 2: pev probably has an advantage because you don't redraw when
- 57:54Speaker 2: you discard stuff that turn. But it got the top
- 57:59Speaker 2: four here. So yeah, yeah, the draft boor, like I said,
- 58:05Speaker 2: it's a one forty on the draftcore the Shiftless Footman. Yeah.
- 58:09Speaker 4: The other deck that I wanted to point out was
- 58:13Speaker 4: a shout out to Stray and eighth dry Nordon of
- 58:16Speaker 4: the Temple, and this had a little bit of personal value.
- 58:20Speaker 4: So I actually opened this deck and it's pretty solid
- 58:25Speaker 4: one hundred and four. But the reason that it is
- 58:28Speaker 4: no longer in my possession is that this deck has
- 58:32Speaker 4: four Oblivion knights and Oblivion night is straying eights personalized
- 58:37Speaker 4: art card, and so we immediately talked and it needed
- 58:44Speaker 4: to go to him, so we worked out a deal.
- 58:45Speaker 4: But it was awesome to see that. It made I
- 58:47Speaker 4: believe that was top four. Yes, and that was pretty
- 58:52Speaker 4: cool to go ahead and see what's there. So soul lock, lfeboard,
- 58:58Speaker 4: Remy's whore, the bois, Oblivion nights and triple knockbacks. You
- 59:03Speaker 4: don't usually see redemption, but the redemption can be pretty
- 59:05Speaker 4: disruptive from there.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Have we ever seen ARCN redemption make a top eight? No,
- 59:15Speaker 2: not that I'm aware of it. I don't think so either.
- 59:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and I mean the logo says nothing to sneeze
- 59:23Speaker 4: at either, So it's prophecies fortuned, Look how far you've come? Yes,
- 59:28Speaker 4: cards man tel and wasteful regrets.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of pivot with ways to recur it right, Like,
- 59:34Speaker 2: it's pretty cool.
- 59:36Speaker 4: So exotic pivot ig resembling required double reiteration wormhole, which.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Cheap how do you feel about Wormhole? Is that cause
- 59:45Speaker 2: some issues?
- 59:47Speaker 1: I did watch I did watch X ray Choke.
- 59:52Speaker 2: We'll get to that.
- 59:53Speaker 4: We'll get to that, but Chaw double Digitalia and on
- 59:58Speaker 4: Sabledale and Z So I mean that logos board can
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: just really.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Cause some major issues and that's what this deck can do.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: So really cool to see.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: They tell no tales for a nice removal gift of amber,
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: so just just bringing in quite a bit of control.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: So well played, but it was it was great to
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: see Stragan that this deck showed up.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, very very cool to see. It's awesome to
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: see him get to top four. That's his first time
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: getting the top four, I believe, certainly in ARCon I
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: believe he's made top cut and sealed before, but I'm
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: pretty sure his first time in ar con Watch. I'll
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: talk to him. It's local. He'd be like, that's not
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: that's not right at all. It was all right around,
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: but but that that is my memory.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: Man shout out to General Store coming in top eight,
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: dom Fan top eight, Man in top eight and Kestra
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: Beer top eight and then you got your top fours.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: Actually technically that was Sunday, but I skipped ahead straying
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: Kathy and then.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: We'll talk winner and runner up people qualified.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: So yeah, so that so, so we were there pretty
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: late because we had to do the top four of
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: the random four game four for sealed, and so I
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: was matched up against Catsman Dogs and x Ray was
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: matched up against Stormstrong and it was it was a battle.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: So I'd been undefeated up to this point and I
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: had I prove us to beat x Rays. I was like, well,
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: I would like to play him again. That'd be nice
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: because I felt like, I mean, his deck's very good,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: but I felt like I could could make stuff happen.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Catsman Dogs just his deck was just the way it
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: came out. It was it overtook my deck and he
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: was able to do a big round of stealing and
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: I was not able to respond, so he did. He
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: did defeat me. Unfortunately, it was the only game I
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: lost the whole time. So then x Ray beat Stormstrong,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: So x Ray and Catsman Doggs went on to the finals. Now,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: because x Ray already had an invite, there was a
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Storm Strong and I had to face off in order
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: to play for the invite, and so that match was
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: that matchup was just a lot better for me, and
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I just I just had all the answers to stormstrong
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: and was able to just just put my foot on
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: the gas pedal, and you know, he like he made
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: a big move towards the end. But then I you
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: know just went and used my parasitic charge out of
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: my archive to just cheat the wind before U before
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: he could really get off the ground. And uh, so
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: I managed to get the invite for Worlds and sealed.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: It was pretty awesome and yeah, yeah, yeah it was cool.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: It was very cool. I wish I wish I could
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: have been the top table, but still pretty good, still
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: pretty good, pretty happy with the outcome. And so only
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: only lost one game the whole a whole sealed tournament.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: And uh and then you know, sort of watching x
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Ray from from a distance, uh, and it was it
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: was a big battle between Catsman, Dogs and x Ray,
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: but x Ray managed to to uh eke it out
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: win the day. So x Ray B came the sealed champion.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Way to go, acts Ray.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: Yeah man, so Teac has been doing really good. Yeah yeah,
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: I don't want to see you all at Worlds as
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: I'm playing in sealed, but x Ray will be there.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: Uh, We're gonna go ahead. That was from Portland.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: You can see that UNFAD will be there from Saint Louis,
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: and then you'll be there from Baltimore. We also have
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: ZUOI coming in from France, who is our big France winner.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: So hoping to actually be able to get some of
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: our European individuals to come in and talk about Paris
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: and kind of how that vault went.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: But it's.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: Teams been playing so shut out to and dogs and
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: x Ray for for going ahead and being there and
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: again Dres you qualified, so awesome job man.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: So by the time we finished that, so it's getting
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: real late, so the store is like closing, so like
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: kick most everyone out.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: But so.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: X Ually really wanted crabs because you know Baltimore, and
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: I kind of wanted crabs too. So I found the
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: place nearby that Julie July recommended that was open until ten.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: So a bunch of folks went off to there and like,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: oh yeah, we'll you know, get the table whatever, and
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: so so I waited for for x Ray. I think
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: some of the people got there early enough, but then
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: another group the messaged us saying that the kitchen was
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: closing at nine and I look at my look at
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: my phone. It's like it's like forty nine. I'm like, oh, well,
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: I guess I'm not doing that. So we pivot and
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: some of the group that hadn't gotten there early, we
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: all decided to go to the diner. So so we
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: head to the Honeybee, the Honeybee diner. Yeah, we went
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: to the Honeybee, yep, and which twenty four hours. And uh,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: it's just just good diner food. You know, it's diner food.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: That's good diner food.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: It is, except it is acceptable diner food. There is
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: nothing very.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: When it is very diner. Yeah, when is a diner
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: anything but acceptable and very? Okay, sounds not. It was
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: a good din food.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Sure you ever had a bad diner food and or
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: drink in your life? X Ray, I'm wondering, who have
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: you have?
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: You call me, x Ray?
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: I might have that might have just go Have you
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: ever had a bad drink or food? Like everything you
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: have has tastes that's because I go to good places.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Oh okay, that's that's fair. I mean honey Bee is
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: like fine, it's like a little dirty, But I guess
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: you expect that of a diner.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you do. Expect that theme, you know, that's right,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: that's right as all. So I'm like, all right, we
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: we eat. We got our shakes, right, so we got
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: some milkshakes there, get our food whatever. And then I'm like, hey, guys,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: let's uh, let's go to let's go downtown, let's go drinking.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: And x Ray's like hell.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Is uh.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: So's like, I'm not doing the same thing of being
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: hugover tomorrow. But it worked, didn't it well?
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: And I mean to give x Ray credit?
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: So the top four for ARCon you had h no
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: particular Kathy stragan Ate, x Ray and Sprack who are
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: still laughed.
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: So yeah, I guess with it.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: But it worked right the night before he went and
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: he should have just done it again and he won.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: So if you would have done it again, there's no
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: saying if you wouldn't have won for Arcan.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: You could have could have will never know.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: But I always sign that playing hungover gives you the
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: best key forge.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, well and.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Here's and here's and here's why. Right, because you are hungover,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: you are so hyper focused on what is going on
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: because of how hung like, It's like you're you could
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: either pay attention to the hangover or hyper focus on
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: the game. Right, there's no importation. You only get one
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: you get you get to choose one.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: That that may or for you.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: I I would not say that my second place finishes.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: I was hungover as ship, like really badly hungover. Now
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: some people would be like, oh, well, if you weren't
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: a hungover, maybe you would have won, And I say, well,
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: I might not even gotten this far, but wasn't hungover.
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: I don't recommend this.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: This is not I recommend it.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: Give it a shot.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: If it doesn't work, hundred percent your money back and
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: let me know.
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: So.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: So yeah, so I'm like, let's go downtown, and I
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: think the experience for some of the cars, like waiting
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: on the highway for half an hour. They're like, that's
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: too far. So uh so folks are like, We're just
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: gonna go back to the house and drink. And I'm like,
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: but well, okay, but like, do we have a bunch
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: of stuff there? Like I didn't bring anything because I thought,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: you know, I thought we're going out. That's when we
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: realized there was a liquor store next door. So we
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: walk over to the liquor store and with by the way,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: surprisingly good booze selection for this, like random liquor store.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: So so I just get a big old bottle of
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: whiskey and I'm like, let's do this, and we head
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: back and I just art pour myself a whole bunch
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: of whiskey.
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: Again, I do not recommend this, friends, let me just
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: say this out loud.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: I do not recommend this.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Two or three fingers with or without water?
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Do you add ice? Uh no, just just straight up no, no,
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: no water, Open it up. You don't need that ship
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: for you that. I'm just saying. It's good as it is.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: Some people like the dropper too, so they say it,
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: let's open up and breathe. I have yet to experience this.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: I'm just saying this is what I hear. You know,
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: I suppose I do believe this, this is the thing,
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: but I would not do ice. I dropper too, I
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: think is potential I need. I I don't like hop beverages,
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: but that's just the preference.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: M hmmm.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: I don't like anything worm or room temperature. So uh
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: so I'm drinking quite a bit and I'm just like
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: challenging random people to.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: Games of of key Forge. And by random people, I
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: mean there's literally tons of people who showed up the house, right,
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: So so I'm like, so Arley's there, because like everybody's
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: just showing up in this tiny little house, right, So
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: I'm like, I really face you. Right. So so we're
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: playing whatever, and so uh, Arley's a great guy. So
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: so he plays a good time and then like, can
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Dynamites hang around? I'm like, you're next, and so, uh
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: so I'm playing kid Dynamite. Meanwhile, Arley is like, for
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: whatever reason, we're talking about his other deck, which is
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: totally distracting. Well, I'm playing drug because like now I'm
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: thinking about his deck, and so uh he's talking about
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: how he's got this like uh he like opened like
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: a five miasthma deck or something, right, so uh so
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: I'm thinking about miasthma's but I don't have shadows.
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: So.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Uh AnyWho, So it's getting towards the end of the game,
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: like we're like missing trigger, I'm drinking whatever. I'm like, damn,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: I need those miasthmas. Next thing, I know, a hand
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: of five miasthmas are given to me. So I called
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: shadows just and I was like, what the hell's going on?
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: I was like, Yeah, He's like, you don't even have shadows.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: I was like, well, get forge. I was like, of
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: the asthma from another deck, so only like twenty percent
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: of mi asthma, but you get five of them, it's
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: like a real miasthma.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: So we did, and this, boys and girls, is why
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: we don't drink can play KeyForge or why you do?
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: So uh so that was a good ass time. So
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: then we ended up playing the Rings and Things game,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: so Arley had that and uh so, so we played that.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: That was a good time and then we were all drunk.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: So I just like threw all the cards in the
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: box and I was like, wow, I'll fix us in
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: the morning because sorting cards is hard. But then they
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: realize that the game is gonna leave with Arley then,
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: so sorry, Arly, You're it's just cards thrown into a box,
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: not in the bag or anything. Sort of sorry about that, dude.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: I had plans to fix it in the morning at
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: the whoops. Uh so, but yeah, it was fun. It
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: was fun. So that was That was Saturday night at
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: the redacted house.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: All right, let's move into Sunday. Time to finish all
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: the arc on tables. Oh wait, what happened with the Alliance?
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Did that just end? Oh? Yeah, it was only seven players,
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: so it just they just played it out.
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: Did they play it out.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: On seven player? Would be three rounds?
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: No?
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Because so four rounds. I gotta find the chart.
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: Didn't you say?
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: Didn't you say that quick draw ended up going ahead
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: and playing an adaptive Yes, So I think they had
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: to have done cuts and then allowed them to be
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: able to play.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: And I say that because there is no cut, it's
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: only three rounds. I think I'm pretty sure that under
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: eight is only three rounds.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Sheep.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: I know you're playing against XO, right under under.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Eight is no cut? You just it's basically just for Swiss,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: it's just three rounds though, right, yeah, it's Swiss. You're
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: playing Filler's undefeated.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: Well but I'm okay. So the reason I'm saying this
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: ar counter kind of see not.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Sure if it's three or four rounds, but it is
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: just like it is Swiss. Wherever you rank is where
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you finished.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: Right, I'm going to default to go ahead and check
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: slop because I mentioned they'll have more information about it.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: But top seven that were there, uh you have.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Congrats to the winner, Moose man dude and the runner
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: up Draw and then third was frog Legs, fourth was
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: Dev Dev, fifth was uh Lauren.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: One.
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: We had six set Prio Frio, and then seventh was
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: storm Strong. Out of that mix, you had two VM
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: twenty six, you had DT with frog Legs coming in
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: in third, talk at fourth, and PV being PV.
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: That took him down number one.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, so so it was actually funny. So
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: during the award ceremony that happened later on Sunday, they're
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: like handed in all the stuff, and like towards the end,
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: dead sank right Andrew He's like, hey, somebody forgot there,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: but we forgot their bat decks and he's looking there
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: at the top eight bat. We were like, dude, there
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: was only seven players in Alliance. He's like, oh, He's
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: like you lost them. I was like, oh, it's me.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I totally played in that, Like oops, hoops, So
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: is this gonna all adaptive players? Look, there was twenty
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: eight and only seven players in Alliance. Adaptive definitely should
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: be the second format. I mean, they're not what I'm gonna. Well, no,
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: they are wrong, because then there would just be seven
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: players in Adaptive. Seven.
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I definitely think Alliance needs to go, but I
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: think your side events.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: Have I don't think the side events are a good
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: judge of what you're what should bounce Alliance.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: It's dangerous because they give you some evidence that people
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: will play in these events given that nothing else to
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: do correct. That's where the problem is coming in. You're
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: one hundred percent right, But people, I mean when.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: You still look at it, I think if you gave
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: the play an adaptive well yeah, but it's the people
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: that got a heart on for adaptive drop to play adaptive, right, Like,
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: this isn't your average like sheeps not drop it out
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: enoughing to go play adaptive. It's the people that are.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: But we're not comparing our sheep players. I mean, most
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: people are playing sealed in ARCon.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: So like, what if you really want to put this
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: to the test, right, run whatever format you're thinking of,
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: and then run it up against just another sealed event
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: and see how it does because I will guarantee you
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: Sealed will win.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Well, that's the real reason they don't want to do
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: sealed side event on Saturday Saturday.
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: This company is just allergic to making money. I really
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: feel like if you did, if you if you did sealed, see,
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: but I don't know. I agree with Sheep, but he's like, like,
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: if you gave me another option of sealed or playing ARCon,
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: I'd play sealed. And I can't say that he's wrong because.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: If sealed was the light side event and I'm two two,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I'm definitely going over there.
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: Well.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: No, what I'm saying is if Day one was sealed whatever, right,
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: just sealed whatever current set, and then day you know
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: it's the it's the Alliance sealed, and then day two
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: was sealed, get three, pick one or arkan, I think,
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: I think, I think, I.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Think it's sort of fifty fifty actually on that day.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's a tough spot because anyone who
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: is already lost to or depending on where the timeframe
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: is of three, you know that you are not going
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: to qualify for top eight.
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: And so there is a real.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: Dependent on size, right, dependent because you did have two
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: you did have two players who were who had two
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: losses in Baltimore or I'm sorry, in Saint Louis who
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: ended up being at the final table.
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: Yes, but if you go ahead and lose in your
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: first round or potentially second depending on who you're facing, too,
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: Like you can see you're not going to go ahead
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: and qualify if the person that you lost to also
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: lost in the second or even the third round, and
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: like you, your strength of schedule goes down significantly that
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: you don't stand as high a chance, and so there
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: is a real reason to play in all of these
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: alternative formats during that time. So I can't like I
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: did the same thing. Guys, I'm with every single player here.
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: If you're not in the running, a few people can
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: continue to play because they want to keep playing their
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: ARCon Otherwise we're going to play in some side.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: I just I don't want to hear this argument that
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: this should be the side event, because yes, you are
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: not You're not You're there's like, okay, so I'm not
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: in this. I guess I can continue playing in the
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: main event for nothing or go over to this side
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: event and have the potential to win prizes. Right, I'm
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: pretty sure most people are going to pick you know,
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: the side event. But like then, using that is like this,
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: this is the benchmark I think is a shit bet.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: I can't disagree. I can't disagree with you on that.
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: My only question is, are we at a spot boys
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: where we can just have Sealed on one day and
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: ark on another and we have this side events is
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: there day?
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: I like, I mean I again, I would like to
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: see another Sealed still still allows the players who have
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: the ARCon level decks to go do ARCon if they
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: so desire. But like, like I said, I would still
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: like to see another sealed because not everybody has those
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: ARCon level decks. So then for a lot of people,
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: you're going for a day and then maybe side events
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: because sealed gives equal opportunity to everybody, right, Like, it's
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: it's a lot of luck, right, you pull Fish, I
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: don't even remember Fish, Oberos and whatever like Sheep did
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: in all three. You're kind of boned, right, So, oh,
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: I would like to see the opportunity for a second event.
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: I I like, I know you guys hate it. I
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: like the idea of draft, and that's fine. You don't
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: have to like it. I enjoyed it, Okay, I get it.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Like it's not my it's not really my thing, but
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: I thought it was cool. There there was a different
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: draft by the way this.
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: Yeah I heard it was mass mutations. Yeah, that had
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: to be a pain in the ass to make. Oh no,
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: I think that's awesome. I guess you know it's awesome,
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: But like imagine having to go through, however many decks
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: and finding cards that don't have pips on you know,
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: don't have you know, enhancement pips on them. That's gonna
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: be a pain.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: I guess I was just looking at before we get
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: off your comment in regards to certain houses. Yes, I
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: do think if you have decks that have repeated houses,
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: it is harder to put together a deck. But it
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: was very interesting to me to see what houses are
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: showing up first sealed. Did you guys pay any attention
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: to that or no?
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: It's a little bit of a rabbit hole.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: But if we look, you.
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: Have consistently unfound the ball. There's there were five.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: At the top site, abistal sites in set uh Aquedonnas
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: Shadows got a lot of good actions.
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: It was just it's very interesting the outside kind of
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: drazz Your overost was there, but it was there were
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: two overosts. There were two Geistoid, there were two Skyborn
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: so and there was the one Mars because Stormstrong had
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: like there was a there were four pods that were
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: used in that build. But if you look, it's just
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: it's really interesting to see how DM is coming out
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: and what people are consistently playing. I also thought that
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: looking at your decks in Drascore and then d Okay,
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: both Cats and Dogs and x Rays deck and even yours,
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: they seemed a lot more generic even as alliances, especially
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: compared to what we saw in Saint Louis. But it's
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: just a different group of decks. So I thought it
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: was really neat to see those decks coming up and
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: showcasing the players, and how you took it quite a
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: ways with some pods that didn't look outstanding to be honest.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, anyway, it was uh, nothing I had wasn't crazy,
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: but it worked, so yeah, all right.
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: Uh looking at MM, I thought MM four draft pack
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: was really cool.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: It looked amazing and I'll give a shout out.
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: Twenty four players again, three pods of eight, so that
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: Bookie has sold out all three of the vaults. But
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: it's also kind of the new hot thing and people
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: want to try it. So they had two of the
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: winners listed dev Dev and Mussman Dude as pod winners,
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: So congrats, but some really neat builds.
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: I don't know what did and did you end up
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: playing in that dress.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: No, so I I casted. I streamed because at when
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: I was at Portland, folks were so excited to play
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: Draft and I wanted to try it because nobody had
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: played it so far that nobody streamed the like the
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: ARCon finals, like there was just.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: No commentary Welcome to Saint Louis and so yeah.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: So I was like, I'm not gonna let that happen.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: So I ran around and recruited and finally got meddle
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Zoa to join me. Mooseman Dude actually also offered after
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: middle Zoa had agreed to, So thank you as well,
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Mooseman Dude. But the uh, but yeah, meddle Zoe and
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: I went in and uh just had a good old
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: time talking about the games and the matchups and what
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: we were seeing, and uh, I felt like we did
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: a pretty good job up until a certain important time
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: where it's like two thirty and we hadn't eaten, and
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: so finally, like middle Zoa orders pizza and so the
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: pizza comes and we're there, we're like eating pizza and
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: we're just like scarfing it down and grabbing slices and
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: all this, and we because I kept missing things that
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: were happening because they're like, wait, what happened on the board?
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: Change like this the chat to tell us what had happened.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: Uh so, whoops, I guess, I guess I now understand
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: why professional sportscasters are just like you know, chowing down
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: on a on a SAMMI while, uh, while the players.
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: Are a lot of job I didn't get to see Sunday.
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: To be fair, they weren't paid very much.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we were not paid at all.
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: I didn't get to see Sunday, so I didn't get
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: to see your casting because I was with another event. However,
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: Friday Saturday, I will say I really wish that there
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: was communication with potentially community members to be able to cast.
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: And I know that those of us following along it
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: wasn't a large group by any means, but it would
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: be nice to have some people who are just kind
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: of talking through the plays versus the players, because the
- 1:27:04Speaker 4: players are oftentimes not narrating what's actually happening. I also,
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: I know Wookie you had talked about this, but the
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: idea when there's time in between rounds, either to jump
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: to another board if there's another, like.
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: Just kill those those holes. There's so correct of the cast.
- 1:27:28Speaker 5: Correct, even just going ahead and putting it.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: Watch when there's nothing going on for twenty thirty minutes.
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: Yeah, and just being like when you're waiting, and then
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: it's like saying, oh, we'll be back in twenty which
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: I thought Josh did a really nice job saying hey,
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: we'll be back in twenty minutes. But then that twenty
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: like with the logistics happening in the background, it gets
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: either delayed or like it's a few more minutes. And
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: again I understand that as I was putzing around, I
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: could check in and out and not really worry. But
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: if we do want to build a large community, I
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: would love to see some of those gaps filled and
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: kind of here's highlights or just kind of quick reel
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: or just another game that's put in, even if it
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: was ran simultaneously, and then that got poured it in
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: that something different, even just to shorten it up. And
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: I know that can be done posts, but in the moment,
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: some of the live streaming, it's just like it's something
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: to see. I appreciate it, but I do think it
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: could have been a little bit better.
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, there's definitely there's possibilities there it's just
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: whether they want to put the money in. And the
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: answer answer is no, Yeah, I know. It's like for
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: a company trying to make money, you would never know it.
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: So that's all I'm saying, Like you would never know.
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: They're just like they're like, oh, make money, what do
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: you mean, Like, just it is what it is. It's
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: just it's lots put on community members and not much
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: you could do about it. I'm gonna tell you that one. Like,
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: I mean, there's definitely you could definitely set up another camera.
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: I don't think that that's too much, you know, and
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: then get even if it is just a side game
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: or you know, whatever is going on, having just two
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: three cameras just out there filming three different games, four
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: different games, so you can just switch over, right.
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: So yeah, and I think that's I think that's easy. Well,
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: you do need a body to be able to go
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: ahead and switch over when it finishes. But I think
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: that even being able to have here's draft and so
- 1:29:40Speaker 4: seeing as people are like going out in drafting, like
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: there's interest this year, so just having a couple extra
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: cameras which aren't a ton and then someone to shift
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: it over would be cool.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: Something to do.
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: But again, but you and I both understand it's okay,
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: not a ton. But the answer they have is we
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: have zero. So again, it's just it would keep people
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: in the chat and engaged.
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: And I will say thank you Drazz for you being
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: there and being able to cast. I didn't hear it,
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: but it just it makes it actually a smoother experience.
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: But I still enjoyed following along and watching the decks.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: I still remember actually for Sealed quick Draw and Cats
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: and Dogs. Literally that was game one and both ended
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: up making Top eight, So it was really cool to
- 1:30:37Speaker 4: see that match up and to see kind of the decks.
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: That were there. They were both pretty fire decks.
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: So enjoyed it all right, tell us how.
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: Tell us tell us how burnish Nickels is? OPI so yeah,
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: tell us tell us the tail pop games.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: Two games that were decided by I. Burnished nicols plays
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: not like oh I discovered burnished nickel plays like burnished
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: nickel on board, burnished nickel relevant. I think the first
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: one I should have rewatch to see the details. But
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: the first one went down and what's that?
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: I thought it was a wild wormhole, but okay.
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: Was a wild worm hole bursta no, there was a
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: different wild word. So x Ray the lost. Well here
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: he lost the first game, it was a second game. Yeah,
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: come here, x Ray, Uh all right, right, I know.
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: But while you're there, he was on the trajectory, so
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: he took sealed and then he ends up going ahead
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: and finishing second in Arkon. That was almost a t
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: move our gas move like that was impressive. Uh so
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: Cocathe and Stragan eight finishing top four and then shout
- 1:32:02Speaker 4: out to Spreck who won arc.
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: On and x Ray taking the runner off the go ahead.
- 1:32:08Speaker 9: Tell us tell us about it, Bud, maybe about how
- 1:32:13Speaker 9: to use this technology my hair, about how wild Wormhole
- 1:32:18Speaker 9: is the worst card ever.
- 1:32:21Speaker 5: And why there he goes?
- 1:32:24Speaker 7: Which which part do you want to know? How I
- 1:32:27Speaker 7: lost the wild.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: Or the end of the game.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Well, now, he still was really close in that game even.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: But that was massive.
- 1:32:39Speaker 7: So I was worried that he would have a cover fire,
- 1:32:46Speaker 7: and I still had my my good win, and I
- 1:32:53Speaker 7: wanted my pood Wind to go off after the cover fire.
- 1:32:58Speaker 7: I wanted him to have to use the cover fire.
- 1:33:01Speaker 7: So I had wild Wormhole in my hand and I just.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: Flipped my deck.
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: So I thought maybe I get lucky and there's not
- 1:33:09Speaker 8: a creature that comes from the wild worm hole, and
- 1:33:13Speaker 8: that pushes me as.
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: To chat because spreck has cryptic collapse is the important ract,
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: which is why I hadn't played creatures the entire game.
- 1:33:24Speaker 7: And so I hit the wild wormhole, it hits the scorpion,
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: and then it ragged me with cryptic collapse.
- 1:33:32Speaker 8: The next turn, now the end of the game went
- 1:33:38Speaker 8: to time, and I called shadows and I did not
- 1:33:45Speaker 8: pull my archive, and in my archive I had cover fire.
- 1:33:53Speaker 8: But all that to say, it came down he had
- 1:33:56Speaker 8: six amber. I had played a Felder's Plan, and I
- 1:34:02Speaker 8: had put a chummy underneath the prophecy where if you
- 1:34:08Speaker 8: have six or more whatever, then it activates. So I
- 1:34:12Speaker 8: felt pretty confident. And he ended up playing the MVP
- 1:34:20Speaker 8: of the game, which ended up stealing an amber from him,
- 1:34:24Speaker 8: putting him Yes, put him under six, so my chummy
- 1:34:31Speaker 8: didn't fire, tied us at five amber apiece and gave
- 1:34:35Speaker 8: him one more creature than I had on the board.
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: Oh, the Burnish Nichols was the plus one creature.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: The Felder's Plan because x Ray played Felder's Plan, Plague
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: Burtis Nichols transferred to Ember from spreck to x ray.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: I know you're all obsessed with it being Burtish Nichols,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: but it was any pointless creature.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: Yes, sure, sure, come on, but still it was British Nichols.
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: I felt like I had it.
- 1:35:04Speaker 8: I felt like there was no way he was out
- 1:35:06Speaker 8: of it, and all of a sudden, British Nichols comes
- 1:35:09Speaker 8: down and it's a tie game with more creatures.
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I feel about them, tiebreaker rules. That turn. To me,
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: just felt it was absolutely right on his part to
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: win the game, but it felt so terrible because it's like,
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: nowhere in real key Forge would you ever play that
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: turn he played right?
- 1:35:31Speaker 7: You would never lose Amber on purpose.
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: And that's why there is no good end of time
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: format like it.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: Just I don't know what to do. I haven't come
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: up with anything better, but nobody nobody has.
- 1:35:46Speaker 4: But when when players are playing turns that don't make sense,
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: you wouldn't do something, you wouldn't actually play it as
- 1:35:54Speaker 4: a regular turn, it's no longer key Forge.
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: And that's where it's frustrating.
- 1:36:02Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, most games have additional turns after time.
- 1:36:08Speaker 8: It is called x amount of turns after and then
- 1:36:12Speaker 8: if it's not decided it's.
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: A double loss.
- 1:36:16Speaker 7: Well no, it'll be.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: I mean, but all you're doing is pushing that stupid
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: play to two turns later potentially, Like that doesn't actually
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: that takes that particular game because you guys were at
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: the very end. But when you're one key to one key,
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: three extra turns doesn't actually make that like game ending thing.
- 1:36:38Speaker 8: That much different, right, But it adds more strategy onto it.
- 1:36:42Speaker 8: Like the person who had the last turn.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: It you just know how many turns, so you still
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: know when you get to do the shenanigans. It's just
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: now it's two turns later instead of right now, but
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: it's still as soon as time is called. Well, you
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: know who's getting the last turn. You know when the
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: shenanigans happen.
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: So here's my question, boys again, why don't we just
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: at five minutes or somewhere close to that, turn off
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: our timers and as soon as the judges.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Particular game was played to the timer.
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: Okay, but but I'm saying you turn off when there's
- 1:37:26Speaker 4: five or a set amount under ten, okay, so that
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: people are not running their own clocks or something simultaneously,
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: and as soon as time then is called the judge
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: calls time, everyone's hands goes up.
- 1:37:38Speaker 5: And you just stop. That is exactly where the game
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: finishes at that point in time. No extra action, extra turn.
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: Not having a good internal timer is beneficial.
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: I can't disagree, but it's a lot harder when you're
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: under five minutes, especially in a finals there to be
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: able to push and like, like.
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: We did it live and there's like a call, it's
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: seventeen minutes and that's it.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: Correct. But but that's what I'm saying.
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: No timers are allowed.
- 1:38:05Speaker 5: But there's no there's no timers. But I think, but
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: that's not even It's.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Like then what every nobody can wear a watch, nobody's
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: allowed to look at their phone. And it's just it's
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: way too hard to the police.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: I get that. It's just that there has to be like, yeah,
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: go to time.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: You both get a loss.
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: How do you fix that in a final situation?
- 1:38:30Speaker 5: Though, well, there there is a point where I cannot win.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: I don't take it.
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: I don't disagree with you, and go to time. Both
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: get a loss. But once we get to the finals,
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: it becomes a little more.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: Then the game just doesn't count. And then so but
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: then why not and then after after and I don't
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: actually have an answer for you.
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: All right, cool, I mean it could it could go
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: as a draw, and so then it counts less than
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: your strength of schedule since we're actually moving this k
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: the schedule.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: But but I agree with talking the best of three
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: at the end, right when we get to the very end.
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: This solves zero problems. Now, and we saw what happens
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: when there is no time limit, right, It's.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: Also which is why, which is why I said that
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: when time is called, it's just hands up and you count.
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: You can still go through your end of time like
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: who has the most creatures, who has the most amber?
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: His most keys?
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: Like does anyone have enough amber to forge? You can
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: do all of that simultaneously and actually stop the waste
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: of the bleed over of ten plus like five eight,
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: ten minutes as people are playing out their last turn,
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: trying to eke out a turn that wouldn't actually be
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: key forge because game is done.
- 1:39:40Speaker 5: Hands up, let's let's go ahead and do the end of.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: The time story.
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: But the same thing happens, like you IgE, you guys
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: enjoy this argument, all right, But I meant we can talk.
- 1:39:52Speaker 3: We've talked about this subject to the cows like.
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: Now you just again, you just fall asleep.
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: You just shift where that again, it's just like what
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: she says, Now you've just shifted the Shenanigans to.
- 1:40:08Speaker 5: It's too has a better and it's to who has
- 1:40:11Speaker 5: a better internal.
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: Cal Both players have access to the vision of the
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: of the timer.
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: No, I tell you when you get when you get
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: to and it can be anywhere under five is where
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: I'm saying. But it goes blank and at that point
- 1:40:30Speaker 4: you're gonna go ahead and have to know the time
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: that's there, like your internal clock.
- 1:40:35Speaker 5: But yes, sheep is right a nightmare.
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: Well, but both players can go ahead and see if
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: someone's looking at their watch or someone's looking at a
- 1:40:43Speaker 4: phone like that, that's where.
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: Yeah, now this becomes I mean, here's the deal though, too,
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: Like you can't do that right If I get a
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: call in a game and it's my job, George, I shouldn't, right,
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: But if you're there and you're picking, there's a probability
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: that it could happen.
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: No, if you're there and you're picking up your phone,
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Like that's that again.
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: You can take so you get a call from your
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: wife and kids at home, you're not taking it because
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: oh man, I gotta be vault warrior.
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: Oh really, like, if you're in a game, I don't
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: know how many people I have seen at a vault
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: that's going ahead and picking up a phone in order
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: to talk to work or I'm dones. You finished the
- 1:41:26Speaker 4: game and you can talk to him after. I just again,
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: I don't think there's there is enough. The system is
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: not great.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: So it happened.
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: It's there, But congratus, we.
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: Will argue about it.
- 1:41:39Speaker 5: I'll say that.
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: Yeah, congrats to everybody in the top eight. Congrats to
