- 3:53episode and let's talk talk about it. I do apologize for being a tabit
- 4:00late. But I'm not at home. I'm in Denver right now and I'm
- 4:05having a little issue with the Wi Fi at the hotel. But without further
- 4:11adude, let me braing on my guest, I'll be having a conversation this
- 4:16evening with Glenn Camp. He is currently incarcerated at the dr DC in Denver,
- 4:25Colorado. He was sentenced to one hundred and ninety two years plus life.
- 4:35He is a father. He also has two books out. I believe
- 4:44before his incarceration he was a car brother. So help me walk on Glenn
- 4:54Camp to let's talk. Hey, Glen, how are you this evening?
- 5:00I'm doing well, Michelle, now wave, I mean I shouldn't that.
- 5:03How are you? I'm doing well. I'm doing well. Well. I'm
- 5:08glad that you chose me to come to talk about your situation. So I
- 5:16would like for you to go ahead and talk to the view the viewers.
- 5:23Let them know something about you, let them know about you. Well.
- 5:30I was actually I was raised on a form you know, as a as
- 5:34a as a young lads, you know, and I raised in a family
- 5:39own business. Uh like uh, some kids, you know, they have
- 5:45talking trumps you know, as toys, but I had heavy equipment, you
- 5:48know, grew up with heavy equipment as my toys, and my father started
- 5:54me out working on it, you know, operating you know, at a
- 5:56very early age, and I became pretty good at it. And after I
- 6:01worked some as a heavyquotment operator, I took five year apprenticeship as a carpenter,
- 6:06you know, the general contractor in the residential industry, you know,
- 6:13retiring homes and adding on rooms, just anything and ceramic, twel anything that
- 6:18that needed to be done to a house. And so you know, as
- 6:24far as my livelihood, that's what I'm done on for some kind of construction
- 6:28most of my life. Okay, so let's get let's get down to this
- 6:36what's at hand on this evening. What would you like to be viewers to
- 6:42know about your situation? Would you like to start from the beginning, because
- 6:46you agreed to come back if we run out of time to continue our discussion
- 6:53about what's going on, So you have a you have the floor, and
- 7:00you know, to discuss what you want to discuss at this time. Uh
- 7:05huh, Well, I believe I was wrong and convicted and senised you know,
- 7:12very own the uh the uh prosecuting attorney in this case, moved to
- 7:17amend my charges and add some elements you know to my crime to the crime
- 7:23first risks first, Uh, sexual assault. Uh. This stem from an
- 7:30altercation you know, that I had with my children's mother. I had found
- 7:36the night that we had you know this right, mostly verbal. I had
- 7:42found that she had been drugging my children and locking away in the bedroom.
- 7:46And I was carroused around you know, in and outside our home and uh
- 7:51uh my six month old son, you know, died. I had gotten
- 7:57up to work one morning to go to work, and I was called back
- 7:59and told my sons did And when I got back home, the police worked
- 8:03my apartment and that I could still then they wouldn't let me in, but
- 8:07I could still see my six month old son lying dead in the floor that
- 8:15you know, really you know, tore me up. It wasn't until two
- 8:20weeks after this incident that I found she wasn't with him the night that he
- 8:26died, that she had set out all night, And when I got back
- 8:30in when I got ready to go to bed and get ready for work the
- 8:33next morning, she was on the couch as though she had been there all
- 8:37night. I found later that she had not gotten back till not long before
- 8:43I got ready to go to work. And so you know, this kind
- 8:46of is where the argument and fight you know started front. It was a
- 8:50ledge, you know that I had beat her with my fists, you know,
- 8:54and a shoe and what have you. Uh, what I did do,
- 8:58And you know, I regret doing what I did because I know that
- 9:03there's no reason why a man should put his hand on a woman. I
- 9:07bought her with the heel of my hand, you know, one time between
- 9:11her eyes, and she got a bunny nose and a black eye out of
- 9:18it. I took her to the emergency room, you know, earlier next
- 9:24morning when I took her to the emergency room. Uh, that was the
- 9:30only injury that was reported, was Uh, she said that she had some
- 9:35neck. I was later convicted of first gree or soul. Well, le
- 9:39didn't breaking her nose. But when I read the medical report, the word
- 9:46nose was never mentioned in a medical report. No was there any close emergency
- 9:50room examination treatment for a nose injuries. So even though there wasn't, you
- 9:58know, the doctrine. Two weeks after this incident, the detectives went back
- 10:01to the hospital and got the doctor to sign up serious body injury form said
- 10:07that there were breaks in fractions. The doctor's side has formed. But a
- 10:11few months afterwards emailed the prosecute attorney and told the prosecute Atturney that he was
- 10:18mistaken when he signed the serious body entryport indicated that there was breaks and fractures
- 10:24because they did not take any X rays of any many with her hands because
- 10:30their fingers were swollen pullet and there were no breaks or fractures in our hands.
- 10:35And so you know, I remained in jail for a whiles, and
- 10:43about a week before trial, the district attorney went and talked to the doctor
- 10:46again at the hospital and got him to come to testify a trial and say
- 10:52that in his opinion, you know, her nose was broken, even though
- 10:56the nose was never mentioned as an injury. So I was convicted and given
- 11:01sixty four years to first the girl saw well that they breaking a nose that
- 11:07was never reported as an entry. So I I have a question and real
- 11:13quick. So you you said that you was at work and you got a
- 11:20phone call that your son was deceased, Yes, and that from her that
- 11:33she would go out she would go out and you know, for her,
- 11:37when she would go out, she would drug, she would drug the kids.
- 11:43Was it, I'm just was it any charges brought against her? They
- 11:52they recommended the charges to be brought against her resulting in death. H that's
- 11:58a district. The Turney that was prosecuting me went to the intake prosecutor and
- 12:05they decided they weren't going to foil any choices against her, you know,
- 12:09to have her testify against me. So okay, so your son life didn't
- 12:18didn't mean nothing to them, but a broken those be mean a lot to
- 12:22them. Yes, you know they uh, they vowed the emotion in lemony,
- 12:30which is emotion to stop, you know, to just allow you know,
- 12:35any kind of certain information into the jury. They vowed the emotion in
- 12:39lemony to keep me the information about my son, uh out of from the
- 12:48jury from hearing anything about my son. Uh. So the jury never heard
- 12:52that my son, you know, lost his life, you know, uh,
- 12:58that my son had died and done. The judge granted that. And
- 13:03so my attorney was supposedly talked to the sixteen year old bid that she had
- 13:09been out with all night and he was the same kid that she had been
- 13:13sending to the store to buy the adult night quill, and she was given
- 13:16to my seven and five year old and drugging him and locking him up in
- 13:22the bedroom. And she was putting liquid night quill in my son's my six
- 13:24month old son's milk and locking him in the way and locking him away in
- 13:31the bedroom with him. So you know, this is this is this is
- 13:35how we got to where we are now. So right now we have a
- 13:41question, uh from patreat. She would like to know that what charges did
- 13:48she get? She didn't get any charges. You know, I was told
- 13:54by our mother later, you know, that she was threatened. You know,
- 13:58they she had disappeared, I believe, you know, while I was
- 14:01still in jail, and about a week before a trial, you know,
- 14:07she her sister, I think knew where she was, and I told the
- 14:13prosecutor where she was. And so I was told that she was threatened.
- 14:16You know that if she didn't testify I guessing that she would get twenty four
- 14:20years herself for appending brand loss in that she had and she had just been
- 14:26on probation for brand lost and wow, well you know, it's just to
- 14:33me, it's just unbelievable. Well that a baby life, a six month
- 14:39old baby life, wasn't important. You know, she's drugging this baby.
- 14:46She's giving this baby and the rest of the children adult night quill, putting
- 14:52them to sleep so she can go out and do her thing. Wasn't No
- 15:00charges broke up against her. But and uh all that you know in you
- 15:07guys altercation, she received a broken nose. Yeah, and that's why that's
- 15:16where and and you are incarcerated because of a broken nose for the first hand
- 15:26plan for the first girl sought charge. Oh wow, I'm gonna yes,
- 15:35get it, call me, call me right back out. Just I'm gonna
- 15:39talk to my audience. And you know this, this, this is,
- 15:43this is outrage. Outrage you you you give a man one hundred and ninety
- 15:52two years plus life, the cooler plus life, but you have a mother
- 16:03with three children I believe he said, seven, five and six months him
- 16:11adult night quel locking them in the room so she can go out and party.
- 16:18And no charges bring brung up against that? No charges. And this
- 16:30is once again we're in voting. See this is the year to vote.
- 16:37Tomorrow is voting all over the all over the states, the States is voting
- 16:42for judges. Do your research on these people that you're allowing to get on
- 16:53these benches. Some of them pro promises everything, Oh I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 16:59do this, I'm gonna do that, and in reality, they ain't gonna
- 17:02do it. They ain't gonna do nothing until their family is facing something like
- 17:07this. It doesn't make any sense, any sense to allow these people to
- 17:14sit on these benches and rule. Are you back? Yes? Sam?
- 17:22Okay, go ahead? Uh? What was like? Okay, So let's
- 17:33you know, I was just I was just like kind of amazed that it
- 17:38wasn't no charges brung up on her, you know about drugging, the drugging
- 17:47the kids. You know, that's that's that's unbelievable. Yeah, you know
- 17:53pretty much all of dis memory didn't have anything of her. It was really
- 17:59good. Yeah, you know you really kept away from the jersey. Uh.
- 18:03It was you know, like I said, it was the next you
- 18:07have me know what, it's you and I have doctors braiding the dogs something
- 19:26fine. That's when I recovered not what thirty like you going down? That's
- 19:34where I found you act rich? Can Can you hear a handling? Boy?
- 19:56I think that. Can you can you hear now? Can you hear
- 20:00me? Y'all? Volume is very low, it's very low. It's like
- 20:07you in the tunnel. It's like I'm in a tunnel. Yeah, we
- 20:11can't hear you at all either. You can't hear me at all. No,
- 20:18we couldn't hear you either. I think it's my WiFi connection over here.
- 20:25What about now? Yeah, we can hear you. Now, you
- 20:32can hear Can you hear him now? Hello? Okay, go ahead,
- 20:37now, okay, go ahead, Glenn, Okay. Yeah. So when
- 20:47you know when he uh told me what had happened. When I got home
- 20:52to confron with what I've just been told, I uh, she was not
- 20:56at home again, and we had what got her sister, you know,
- 21:00from Oklahoma, uh when the baby die brought her and her sister and brother
- 21:07in law out here. And so her sister was asleep on my floot sofa.
- 21:12So I woke her up and asked her, you know, where her
- 21:15sister was, and she told me that she was two doors down. I
- 21:21went down and knocked on the door. And this was about three thirty in
- 21:23the morning actually, and I went down and knocked on the door and let
- 21:30you know, let me in, and there was a full time bed blocking
- 21:34the door, you know where I could only move about four feet inside the
- 21:40apartment in a little four year area, And so I stepped into that,
- 21:44you know, and she was there, you know, passed out on the
- 21:45footown. Then there was another man laying on the bed beside her with a
- 21:51you know. Uh he was fully dressed. She wasn't you know dressed,
- 21:55you know, covered too well. And so I woke her up, and
- 21:57that was on there. Boy, it can't entered and decide the wall work
- 22:00and get down through the side of the wall and wake her up. Well,
- 22:04I woke her up and I had to slide back out in the face
- 22:07to allow her to walk out. Uh. The lady of the apartment that
- 22:12went into the kitchen to get a drink of water. And so when she
- 22:17got up, she started down that little spot down through the wall and she
- 22:21corner footton bed and fell face first into my chest. And so the only
- 22:26thing that I could do the door was still open behind me, was taking
- 22:29a step backwards, and about that time the lady was coming back around the
- 22:34group going out of the kitchen and saw her face first into my chest and
- 22:41be taking a step backwards out into the hallway, and she testified and travel
- 22:47let you know, it looked as though I was dragging her. Uh.
- 22:51And so that's where I get my second kidnapping children. You know. It
- 22:55was uh from when she fell into my chest and I stepped out into the
- 22:59hall. UH later her husband when we left, I'm putting my home around
- 23:04her. I'm putting my jacket over her shoulders and stuff. She didn't have
- 23:07on a clothing, just a skirt, and I put my jacket around her
- 23:11shoulders and we started two doors down to our apartment. And the only other
- 23:17person that saw us at the time of the morning was the lady of the
- 23:19house. His husband, who looked down into the hallway he was asked to
- 23:25trial, was darting to scratching. I'm picking up fighting and he told them
- 23:29no, it just looked like two people going home. She was drunk.
- 23:33He had his arm around her shoulder, and they were going home, you
- 23:37know. But still, you know, I was. I was. I
- 23:41was charged with second for kidnapping. Uh. It was the last that I
- 23:47had committed that couldn't kidnapping with a dead few weapon my hand. But UH
- 23:56also read at uh I mean cut you off with us? Why is on
- 24:00my mind? I also read that the deadly weapon, she was a deadly
- 24:11weapon as as as well. Yeah, the prosecution had a brown taper bag,
- 24:19you know, sitting on the desk throughout the whole trial and never had
- 24:23produce a shoe into evidence and the whole trial. And uh, like I
- 24:29said, the doctor said that he didn't look like he couldn't find a chip
- 24:33hit for anything. Ah. And so you know she was never in the
- 24:38deuce. They had a shoe, but that shoe was never deuced because there
- 24:42was no injuries in anything in the case that you've been hit for anything.
- 24:47Okay, So we have a question right now. Was you guys legally married
- 24:55or no? No, we weren't legally married. We had three children together.
- 25:00We were living together. She and I had children, were the only
- 25:03ones on apartulations. Okay. And also let me you said you was giving
- 25:12us a rundown of your your charges. Yeah, and from what I was
- 25:22reading all your charges. When the when the verdict came back in what you
- 25:30know what what a minute, Let's let me go back, let me go
- 25:33back. Okay, I want to go to the because we had talked and
- 25:41something had came out about the for forensic scientists that got on the that testified
- 25:49against you, against you. She's making headlines over here in Denver because she
- 25:57fabricated some of her her finding in some of these cases. Her name is
- 26:06Yvonne Woods, if you guys want to look it up, her name is
- 26:11Yvonne Woods. She fabricated some of her findings on some of these trials,
- 26:18so they having other states come in and go over her her files. So
- 26:29a lot of people that she got on could be coming home because of what
- 26:36she did. What she did, Yes, well, you know, initially
- 26:44I didn't. I didn't think anything of it. You know, she did
- 26:47justify at my trial. But it was in trial that I found out that
- 26:52it was possible that other DNA was involved. Also. Now I don't mean
- 26:57infer any way. You know that I didn't have sex with Nicole. I
- 27:02did it, you know, Uh, but I had uh. After the
- 27:06fight ended. You know, I had laid across the fut of the bed
- 27:10and actually, you know, I had been drinking something myself, so I
- 27:14went to sleep rather you know, rather quickly, you know, laid across
- 27:17the front of the bed and I was awakened by her put in my hand,
- 27:22you know, pulling me to her, and I was still dressed at
- 27:26the time, you know, and I got up and I got undressed,
- 27:29you know what I mean, and we had sex. So that was something
- 27:32that I never denied from the very beginning. But in trial that was testimony,
- 27:37you know, after Missy Woods belong Woods justified that my DNA was the
- 27:44only DNA that was you know, found you know, doing her testing.
- 27:48Well, the lady of the house you know, had testified on trial and
- 27:52trial herself that she had came into the living room in the middle of the
- 27:57night, you know, going to and that she had observed and you know
- 28:03what I mean, this guy, you know, performing oral sex on her.
- 28:07So you know, it didn't make me question, you know, the
- 28:10integrity of uh Missy Woods uh testing, you know, in my case because
- 28:15when she's when she testified my DNA was the only man that was her but
- 28:22absolutely and actionality, it was another person DNA there as well. Yes,
- 28:34wow, And they didn't they didn't test that. No. No, So
- 28:41so the the baby being drug with the night coil and passing away, she
- 28:49wasn't, uh, the mom wasn't charged or anything with that. The baby
- 28:56life really didn't mean anything. I don't mean no offense. I was just
- 29:00you know, I'm just trying to process this, you know it. This
- 29:04is kind of crazy to me that a child's life over a broken nose.
- 29:11You know, it's just like whoo. And then the DNA the DNA it
- 29:25was two DNA's, but yours and someone else. But Yvonne got up there
- 29:33and said that it wasn't nobody else's, but it was yours. And I
- 29:41mean, this is just this is just crazy. I have two questions.
- 29:49Uh, did CPS get involved? Uh? My children got taken and adopted
- 29:56out? You know she got out of jail when she Uh, when the
- 30:02trial was over, she had stopped going to see the children. Uh.
- 30:07She's basically abandoned the children, you know, and and went on with her
- 30:11life. So our children got adopted out. Uh. She passed away seven
- 30:15years after that was inconsprated. Soul rest in peace. You know. So
- 30:19this is not about me. You know, I don't wish to disparacure anyway.
- 30:23You know, she has the mother my children right and regard that,
- 30:27you know the way the situation has turned out. You know, I'm a
- 30:33fairm believer that for whatever reason, we end up what we are in life.
- 30:37Uh, some things you can go over, and some things you can
- 30:41go around, some things you can go under, but some things you gotta
- 30:45go right straight down the middle of them. So I am where I am
- 30:48for a reason. I just don't see this the reason. You know,
- 30:52Yeah, that you know that, you know, for the for the reasons,
- 30:56and that they say that, I mean, okay, so we gotta
- 31:00we have another question. How did they explain the kidnapping if you all lived
- 31:07together and if you were going home? Oh, you know, it was
- 31:14just from the fact that you know the other lady. The lady testified that
- 31:18in appearance, as though I was dragging her when she tripped, she didn't
- 31:21see a trip on the corner the bed. By the time she came back
- 31:25from around the corner, she had already tripped you on the corner of the
- 31:27futon bed and fell into my chest. And so, like I said,
- 31:32it was just about a fourth foot by four foot four year area right there
- 31:36were stepped inside the door. So the only place for me to go when
- 31:38she felt them to me with the ones who fell backwards, and that put
- 31:41us in the hallway. And that's where my my secondary kidnaping came from Wow.
- 31:48So let me just read some of these your charge. Well, the
- 31:52jury verdict, and it's we're going to go with I probably got I got
- 32:02my papers all over the place, and it says, if you find a
- 32:07defendant defendant not guilty of sexual assault, you should disguard this instructions. However,
- 32:16you find a defendant guilty of sexual assault, then you should then answer
- 32:22the following question. I don't want to say her name out of respect to
- 32:31her. So did she suffer serious bodily injury result in the from the commission
- 32:40of the sexual assault? The jury said no, Uh, well you have
- 32:49the jury said no. But the court used by the injury anyway to enhance
- 32:55my pens That's how I get years for that charge. Uh. They followed
- 33:01the crime about a senson Assi, you know, on for mandatory sentence,
- 33:06and so instead of you know, when the jury said no to that,
- 33:09they had to agree unanimously that there was no history and so when and so
- 33:17when they said no, that case of itself, you know, should have
- 33:22been should have been dismissed because I think I since you're form a jury a
- 33:27verdict, yes, that's what I'm looking at right now, and oh,
- 33:31it's kind of blurry because of my background, and it has the it says
- 33:37no, and it has the jury for a person name written on it.
- 33:42So that one was for the they found you not guilty for the sexual assault.
- 33:47So now let's go to this one, and it says this one said,
- 33:57if you find the defendant not guilty a second degree kidnapping, you should
- 34:04disregard this instruction. If, however, even guilty a second degree kidnapping,
- 34:13then the following question. Then they answered. The following question, was the
- 34:20kidnapping accomplished by using a deadly weapon? And the jury said no, but
- 34:30they had half that sent us all sold by using serious body injury and deadly
- 34:35weapon. They had half that suys. She gave me ninety six years for
- 34:38that Centate's awesome, and that was illegal. So they gave the statue saying
- 34:46that they have to prove, you know, if they're trying to prove extraordinary
- 34:52aggravated circumstances, they have to prove those by the same standard applicable tool the
- 34:58elements of the sustatic crime. It felt, so they have to prove those
- 35:02beyond a reasonal with doubt. When the jury said no, that they fail
- 35:07approved beyond the original without jury instruction number four. The judge had instructed them,
- 35:12but they must find me not guilty of that coupl But they they went
- 35:16ahead and found me guilty of the count and gave me the nine years for
- 35:22it. But the jury said no, So how can they still find guilty
- 35:27of something that that? The jerry said no, yeah, okay, it
- 35:35took me twenty two years. It took me twenty two years to find that
- 35:38I had it all along all these years. Okay, twenty two years to
- 35:44find me. So this is the last one. So they don't find you
- 35:49not guilty on two charges? Yes, So now is this one one?
- 36:00If you find a defended not guilty of second degree kidnapping, you should disregard
- 36:06this instruction. If, however, you find a defending guilty of second degree
- 36:13kidnapping, then answer the following question. Okay, you have one left.
- 36:21Yeah, Also, was the victim of sexually sought as they find as seven
- 36:28and instruction seventeen, And they answered, yes, go ahead and call me
- 36:34back because I need we need to get this, need to get this.
- 36:40I need to understand how you get two no's in one yes? And then
- 36:45they come up with one hundred and ninety two years plus put an a life
- 36:51on there. You already they already sentenced you to life when they gave you
- 36:54one hundred to ninety two years. Kind of trouble in twenty two years,
- 37:01you know, they went back twenty two years and got oldcas as well as
- 37:05a younger man. Think about a vitual criminal on me, you know also,
- 37:09and so they gave me Wow, wow, this this is this is
- 37:22unbelievable, this is so this is so unbelievable. I lost his word.
- 37:37You to sit on these juries, and then we sit on the jury and
- 37:45you come back with a verdict, and they still disregard what the jury say.
- 37:53I'm looking at it right here. You know. They they telling you
- 37:59the jury he said no on two charges, and then you add enhancements and
- 38:05give him two years for this charge that the jury said no, and then
- 38:12you give him another charge a ninety on another charge, you give him ninety
- 38:17two years. I mean, I don't get it. I really don't get
- 38:24it. I really m m mm hmm. I don't understand. The last
- 39:17one was yes. The last the last charge they answered, they did say
- 39:24yes on it for the second degree kidnapped a thing, you know, that
- 39:36was a information. Like I said, they probably guilty of kidnapping because of
- 39:38what the lady testified too, when she fell into my chest and I stepped
- 39:43backwards out the door. Kidnapping, you know, as if you seize and
- 39:46carry a move anybody. You know, however, was slightly from one place
- 39:52to another. So when she testified to that that's the way that I was
- 39:55founding kidnapping. They are tempted to a half my sentence, you know,
- 40:00look by aggravating circumstances by asking them where. So when the juror said no,
- 40:08that sentence could not be aggravated at all. You know, they even
- 40:13went further, you know, in the amended count for when they they applied
- 40:17serious body and injury and deavy weapons to all of my charges, and they
- 40:22joined them all conjunctively to say that these elements that I was found guilty of,
- 40:28these aggravating circumstances and all of these counts, which that's not so you
- 40:34know, the juror said no, so if that crime of file citizen has
- 40:39and could not stand, and they apply that every charge, so my sentence,
- 40:45you know, is illegal. Of some of the things they changed some
- 40:49of the elements of the crimes by conjunctive, by added and without any comments
- 40:53or anything, as though they were actual elements of their crime. Is constructed
- 40:59by the Colorado State Legislature. But it wasn't true. You know, when
- 41:05they amended to kill ardget they changed the elemental structure of the charges. And
- 41:10when they did that and then failed to prove those elements, then those charges
- 41:15been dismissing. H Well, people, we gotta get out there and vote
- 41:29when we when you go vote tomorrow for these judges, whoever you voting for,
- 41:36do your research. Just don't go down the line and check off the
- 41:39box because you you just there just to vote. Don't do that. Don't
