Gus Bodnar didn’t just make an early impression—he rewrote NHL history. In his rookie debut in 1943, he scored just 15 seconds in, a record still standing today, and finished the season with 22 goals and 62 points, winning the Calder Trophy. He also holds the fastest three assists (21 seconds) and was part of two Stanley Cup wins. Before the NHL, he dominated junior hockey, including two Memorial Cups, and later coached to another.
