Powerball Clears 900 Million, five tickets win seven figures, Mega Millions reaches 80 million ... and more for August 9th · The Lottery Rundown: Powerball & Mega Millions Results, Trends and News

Powerball Clears 900 Million! This is The Lottery Rundown for Sunday August 9th Powerball drew Saturday night with 5, 9, 35, 54 and 63, plus Powerball 7 and a 3X multiplier. Nobody matched all six, but five tickets delivered seven-figure celebrations: one ticket holder in Texas won 2 million dollars, while players in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York each won 1 million dollars. What would you do if one of those tickets were yours? Among the white balls, 35 returned after 28 drawings away. That is less a comeback than a very delayed RSVP. Monday’s jackpot is an estimated 905 million dollars, with about a 392 million dollar cash value. That could buy a small fleet of submarines and matching bathrobes for the crews. The run has reached 41 drawings and 98 days without a jackpot winner, around the 93rd percentile of recent jackpot gaps—an unusually long wait. Moving to Mega Millions, the last draw was Friday, August 7, with 17, 20, 32, 54 and 57, plus Mega Ball 23. No ticket hit the jackpot. The clearest return belonged to white ball 32, which resurfaced after sitting out 24 drawings; 54 also came back after 21 drawings away. Tuesday’s jackpot is an estimated 80 million dollars, with about a 34 million dollar cash value. This is only the third drawing in the new run, so the jackpot clock is behaving quite normally.
