- Liam: What's up? Fourth and T UK NFL Podcast. It's the week five game review pod. Jamie, how are you doing? Jamie: Good, good. Definitely not tired whatsoever. Lots of coffee, sorry lots of tea. Could be on my fourth tea Liam: Could be on your fourth T. Jamie: for today. But yeah, good joke. We're now a third in total games regular season. We're a third through the season. Liam: One no, I can't no, Jamie, that's gotta be in Jamie, how many what game Jamie: Yeah, yeah, no, no. Liam: week five? Jamie: Yeah, yeah, no, the total number of games because of all the bio-wigs, everything like that, statistically, third trim of the season. Liam: F okay. You know what? Jamie: Mm-hmm. Liam: like we said last week, time's flying, to be honest. Jamie: Not amazed that, that's an NFL red zone stat from last night. I could have been asleep when he said it. Liam: Wait, clearly it wasn't. But yeah. I mean, thought we could talk a little bit about going to the London experience this week, 'cause to be honest, Jamie, Jamie: Yeah! Liam: I know we're watching all the stuff on you know, in America, but if London ever got a team, that honestly London is an NFL city. It really is. Jamie: It's built for NFL. You've got the helmets obviously in Trafalgar Square and stuff like that. But like that is cool. And there was a buzz around there. Obviously you said we went to the NFL experience and even that was cool. mean, inside the inside the huddle were live as well. didn't we didn't realize they would be. Liam: No? Jamie: But again, it was just that buzz. And like you say, it's just like now I've been seeing people in like Just walking around at lunch and then you've got people in like Jaguars gear, obviously Eagles gear, but like commanders gear, cowboys, it's every, it feels like almost every team is represented now in the, and that was just in London just walking around like today. And it was just like, Liam: Yeah. Jamie: it's just that, I don't know. It's just, like you said, I think we've built, London is now built for Liam: Just Jamie: a franchise. Liam: it is unreal. Like comparing to some of the games I've been to, like the Bills and like the Giants, the stadiums are way more accessible. They're just as big. They put on a part they look they put on a party. They look good on TV. Like Tottenham Stadium looks ic it's better than the foot it's better than the soccer. Like it looks incredible Jamie: it, yeah. Liam: on TV with the NFL. I know that they can't always, you know, do It there all the time, but Tottenham looks so good. Excited to see how Wembley is next week, which I'm going to and cannot wait. Jamie: Nice. Liam: Big Sunday up at Wembley. So yeah, I mean that we'll talk about that on the next pod. But yeah, NFL, one thing that I know the Jags will talk about them, but we need to get more behind the Jags because that was an unacceptable home field advantage with the Eagles. Jamie: That was, mean Cam Littles come out and just said like that was meant to be our home but like the fans, know, like you said, just, was, if we even were on TV, it was loud, it was proper, the whole, I mean, third, fourth quarters if the game's a little bit, and there wasn't much offence realistically, we'll get into it in a bit, but like that. that crowd was getting into it, really pushing the Eagles and all those penalties that the Jags had felt like it was because of the crowd as well. All the false starts, everything, back, like three back to back false starts. You think, I think the crowd really got into it and then the ending was, yeah, unbelievable. Liam: I think it'll be I think it's the Eagles fan base in in Europe and the UK though, because Jamie: yeah. Liam: I think next week against the Texans, I think we're gonna hear a bit of a Jags crowd. and I'm gonna find me that tailgate. So That further ado, Jamie. Ready to get into the games? 4th&Tea: you Liam: for the week five review show, we're starting with me, and it's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Dallas Cowboys. And I'm gonna start off by calling myself out. Mystic Marshall is real. Mystic Marshall is calling it as it is, the wild take of the week. Further Mystic Marshall himself. For anybody listening, that's me. I called it the Bucks by eight points and two interceptions. that's how it went down. The Bucks win twenty-four to sixteen. this is a confusing game. There's a backup quarterback, Jalen Da Jalen Daniels, you're not. Mishearing me, there's almost another one. And I swear, best smile in the league. Such a good backstory. Undrafted free agent. He's been at Kansas for like five years and he's waited his turn. He was undrafted, but he had he beat out the backup at Tampa Bay training camp to become the actual backup for Baker Mayfield. And he's taken his chance. And After today, he's cemented along at least a backup future in the league, and he gets the win. And I couldn't be happier. Like, this book's defense is getting takeaways. We said it last week. We said it against we said it against Green Bay. This book's defense is giving this offense opportunities. And that is without Winfield Jr. as well. He was out injured. Some of the rookies, Trotter looks sick. Like he looks so good. And they just came down and This Cowboys offense isn't to be played with. Like they've been putting up mad points, but these these young these young corners were shutting down like CeeDee Lamb. He ended up with an injury. yeah, D Abe. Yeah, yeah, D Abe getting pressure on Dak. And yeah, what a win for the Buccaneers. I think we might have all seen that meme of Dak Prescott going down the tunnel, getting caught, embarrassing, but I don't know. This, you know, that We've been calling the Bucs to start using Igbuka. This was his biggest game of the season. We've been calling on them to use Bookie Irving. They actually used him. He had a what he had like a 70 yard, 72 yard run to set up, you know, the Igbuka jet sweep touchdown. Like they they they were unstoppable and they're using their good players. So big up to the Bucs. And yeah, Jamie, there's not much more to say. I think the Cowboys are gonna bounce back. They've got a terrible defense. So yeah, that but the but the books the books one of four off the floor. Jamie: I did also say that Norton 14 would win the game this week and you know it just so happens to be many of them and Bucks are one of them. The Russian game I did say to sit Bucky Irving and start Kenny Gamewell. Liam: Terrible take, Jamie. Terrible take. Jamie: one of many as we've seen throughout this pod. you, mean, yeah, Tampa outrush Dallas 241 yards to 50 yards as well. like those 17 unanswered points in the third quarter basically killed the whole game. my favorite bit, you already said it was Dag Prescott getting called out by that random bloke down a tunnel. But then there's a side, I don't know if you've seen it yet, but it's him on the sideline camera when Cowboys go seven-nil up and he goes, it's just a nought and four bucks. Unbelievable. is one that's Liam: Unbelievable. Jamie: going to come back to, I mean, it can't really come back to haunting, but like that is, yeah, that would be embarrassing clip, superb. Liam: Well, they're only one win behind the Cowboys, so yeah. Jamie: Well yeah. Liam: but I mean, I predicted this one. You didn't. Mystic Marshall. I need a noise there. Jamie: Do you know what? Mystic Marshall. Yeah. Liam: But yeah. Cool. On to the next one. 4th&Tea: you Liam: And it's the London Games, like we said. and it's the Eagles technically at home for the Jags. So it's at Top Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Liam: it's at Tottenham Hot Spurs Stadium. Like we said, amazing view. this is b i I think it's built to be an NFL stadium. You've got the Jagsmascot jumping off the roof, doing all the stuff that he does in Duval, looking amazing. You've got all the shirts around the streets, like there's there's fan zones, there's tailgates. I've seen videos of like Philly's tailgates in pubs, in tunnels, like all over the shop. Like I said, looking forward to getting to it next week. And then then there's the game. Wild like wild finish. there was a lot of mistakes in this game. The to build up to it, the the Jags, this is their worst game of the year. Even even including their loss, they just were making so many mistakes. At one point, Trevor Lawrence was second and forty. Have you ever seen that, Jamie? Second and forty. Jamie: That is... You don't even do it, you don't even get that on Madden unless you do it on purpose, like you run backwards on purpose. But like the game, I mean, the game was bizarre to start off with, wasn't it? 13 seconds in, two players ejected, Jags think they've scored a return touchdown off the opening kickoff. You think like, wow, well, welcome back Jacksonville to the NFL London. And you think, what? Liam: Yeah. Well, like you said, sorry as well, off that the Jags did a return touchdown. It got Jamie: Yeah. Liam: called back for flags. Some holdings were called. But also two players Jamie: About 20 flags for you. Liam: had a fight in the middle of the pitch and two players got ejected straight off the bat. Eagles and a Jags player. It was a bit weird. On the TV we didn't get to see what the what the Eagles player did. But then the Jags player, confusingly called Brian Thomas Jr., whi Jamie: That was, yeah, Liam: I was like, Jamie: yeah. Liam: whoa, but no, it's a different one. He like buckaroo kicked him off the floor, which I don't know, seemed a bit of a soft ejection. Anyway. Jamie: Yeah, both were. So on that, I was Liam: Go for it. Jamie: playing against someone else in fantasy, another one that had Brian Thomas Jr. So I've gone like, fantastic, he's been ejected first play. And then I've actually looked, I've been like, right. Turns out he still scored zero points because one of the plays where he looked like caught a touchdown, he was actually out of bounds. like it was wins or win. Basically might as well have been ejected as well. Liam: Yeah. So yeah, but Jamie: But I said it was so many mistakes. I think will they get 15 penalties again now back to that games 15 plus penalty or folks. Yeah. Liam: Yeah, it's crazy. And I think I do think that's a testament to how loud the stadium is. And there's a lot of Eagles fans there. But that being said, Parker Washington was making the difference. Like that man, he is stepping up. Like post Brian Brian Thomas hype, this is a wide receiver that has come out of nowhere and is taking over. And this team looks like it it's gonna have a deep playoff run, or I don't think you're gonna want to see them. And you know, he's doing one handed catches over Rick Wollen. Super Bowl winner from last year. Awesome. I mean, it doesn't help that Philly don't have Saquon Barkley or Devontae Devonta Smith. Fine. That's fine. I they're still a decent team, but the ending of the game. Lester, Jamie: Wow. Liam: you know, Dallas, well done. You you you've taken a lead with was it eight seconds left, Jamie? Eight Jamie: Yeah, jake elliot 48 yard. I think game over. That's it Liam: Yep, that's it. Jake Elliott, forty eight yard at eight seconds to go. Okay, you kick off the ball, get what look one stop. That's all you need. But no. Dallas Cowboys, they kick it short. Sorry. Jamie: Dallas? Philadelphia Eagles? Liam: I keep thinking Dallas Cowboys. The Philadelph Jamie: It's because you can't get that mystic martial out your head of Bucks willing to go. Liam: Mystic Mark Joel is just on on the move. The Jamie: you Liam: Philadelphia Eagles, they don't kick it deep and out the back, which gives that gives the yeah. The Jags don't have any Jamie: Yeah, just kick it out. Don't let them run it back. Liam: timeouts. They have already returned one in the game for a touchdown. They don't tackle the returner. The returner gets deep in not deep, but he gets into The Philadelphia Eagles half he's tackled with one second to go. What are you doing? One second on the clock, upstum up steps Cam Little, 57 yarder, splits the sticks, runs down to the post, Jamie: Unreal. Liam: does the Bellingham celly in front of the English crowd. And I won't lie, that is the best way to end the game in London. That is sick. Jamie: And we've got to talk about their long, their snapper. I mean, what the hell was going on during that game? The Jaguars obviously, they lost their long snapper. They ended up with a, was it a tight end or something like a backup tight end snapping it? Liam: But he got player of the match. He got lit play of the match from Liam Cohn because to be honest, he was having a terrible game, but it's Jamie: Yeah. Liam: not his job, and that's a hard job. And he had to do it at the end for the winning field goal. So you know what? How to however terrible it was, what a story. And the Jaguars didn't cover, but they won. Jaguars nineteen, technically at home to the Eagles with seventeen. Cool. On to the next one. 4th&Tea: you Liam: Jamie, it's the Vikings at the Saints. Jamie: Yeah, Minnesota to improve to 5-0. They pretty much limited the Saints to no offence. Tyler Shucks got his hand strapped as well in the last couple of games and he's looked like he has been injured as well playing-wise. I thought the Saints were back in it, 13-13. You think, cool, their return was in like an 87-yard fumble return for a touchdown. You think, wow, turning point, kick the PAT. go up 14-13, make it hard. And they missed the PAT and then from then on they seemed to, that missed PAT just made them crumble. And then, I mean, I think, and I just think the Vikings are such frauds. Like they've got nothing on offense apart from Justin Jefferson. And somehow their defense is carrying them. think shot got intercepted two times again in the game. Like the Vikings just making plays when they need to, to win games of football. Liam: You know what? Brian Flores Mom Right, this is do you know what, Jamie? There's something about this team that in some way reminds me of Seahawks last year in the Jamie: Mmm. Liam: season. I know you say it's a fraudulent team, but this defense, Jamie: offense wise but yeah. Liam: yeah, this defense is probably the only truly elite defence in the league. On top of that, you score 23 points and you've got a defense like that. If I say you've got the only true defense in the league, and You're putting up 23 points. To me, that is a recipe for success. And that's that's sometimes all you can hope for. And last year, Sam Darnold cleaned up the turnovers and the plays in the playoffs. And that turned into a Super Bowl, which would be Minnesota's first. I mean, Justin Jefferson was also balling. Like, you just got to throw it near that man. my gosh. Jamie: Yeah. Unbelievable. Honestly. Liam: Justin Jefferson, JJ, my man. me and the boys are talking. One of the guys, I've how much is his chain? Someone was like, five figures. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Someone was like, I think it's six figures. Someone like, I bet it's more than my house. We looked it up. It's over a million. His chain is over a million, but he's got it insured. He hasn't got to worry. But Byron Murphy Jr., two interceptions. Shook, Tyler Shook looking like Jamie: He just looks just Liam: I'd I'd Jamie: out of sorts to me. There's something not quite right. Liam: It I don't think that's the case. I think they came up against the heater of a Falcons team and now they came up against the absolute buzzball of a offense killer that is the Minnesota Vikings, Brian Flores led defense. So yeah. And to be honest, Jamie, this game looked a lot closer than it was because if it wasn't for that fumble and scooped by the Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Saints defense for a touchdown, th the they're not even got ten points. So Jamie: Well, that's what mean. Without those six added on, literally they gave up one touchdown by the Vikings defense. yeah, I still Liam: Yeah. Class. Jamie: think Kylo Murray's not the answer, but they're winning games. So, like you said, if he can clean up, then again, he was, to be fair, he was clean, but he just looks so awkward for some reason in the pocket. He just looks like he misses so many throws. He only missed six out of 30. Liam: You know, yeah, this is Carlemur's best game, though, for the gi for the Vikings. For the Giants. He is definitely not a giant. But yeah, he this is his best game. And actually, Jamie: Yeah, yeah, yeah. For the giants. We'll get to them. Yeah. Liam: let's see if that they can build, because then it's gonna look look less fraudulent to you. But I'm gonna keep buying stocks of the Vikings until they let me down. 4th&Tea: you Liam: Now on to the New York Giants at the Commanders. Jamie, are you ready? Are you ready? Jamie: my god. I'm ready. Liam: Pink Blue Come on, let's go. And Jamie: Alright. Liam: I don't know how to feel about this because I shouldn't be celebrating, but Jamie: What the hell was that? Can we just- What the hell was that? Commanders. Liam: Just what yeah So like how would you feel right so the result was overtime game twenty-seven points to the Giants twenty-seven points to the commanders Jameis did a great end of game drive Jamie: Mm. Liam: to get the draw. Jameis played end of that game, Jameis was the man. Also, Jaden Daniels, not the guy we spoke about earlier. This might have been his best game of the year as well. And Jamie: They look good. Yeah. Liam: he's running. And he's throwing. Anyway, right. Anyway, so we get to the end of the game. But this is where it all goes to part. Okay, we don't score touchdowns. It has now got to the point where any score wins. Giants march it down the field. But they want to just. I don't know what they want to do. They want to kill some clock or something? I don't know what. Anyway, Cam Sc. Jamie: Honestly, just kick the field goal. How close did they want to get? Like just... yeah. Liam: How close do you want to get? So, I mean what, Cam Scataboo, who quiet game, but then came alive in the overtime. he he just I don't know, he just gets punched out. He's not wearing gloves. It's a bad look because he's not wearing the gloves like that for everybody else. So just instead of just taking the points, which is the win, he fumbles it. Fine. Just get a field goal, Commanders. The commanders march it down the field, march it down the field again in field goal range. Jamie: 47 seconds on the clock. Yep. Liam: Is that what it was? 47 seconds on the clock? They call a play. Jaden Daniels does a little scramble, goes to the outside, goes to the inside, dives to the floor. All of a sudden, panic, panic, panic. There's about eight seconds left on the clock. The refs are coming in to try and spike it and start it off. And then they can't spike it and get the playoff. End of game, draw, Dan Quinn. Spikes his headset because they don't get a win, because there's nothing else to spike. And yeah, strange, strange, strange game. Jamie: Yeah, they interviewed him afterwards and he just started laughing, he was laughing about it. Liam: dunno, he was f he was few he was a wi he he said it was his own fault though. He didn't really tell Jaden Daniels what to do, but Jamie: No, yeah. Liam: it's it's one of these weird ones. But I mean Jamie: But Jadon Daniels got asked a question and he started talking about his defence, saying how well they played. You think, what? Just spike the ball, knee-lit, stop the clock. It reminded me of the Bears, was Thanksgiving a few years ago, Bears against Packers. And for some reason the Bears just clocked game management, it's just basics of football. And everybody's looking at the clock, even Kit Eskatterby on the sideline could not believe, he was like, right, okay, I guess we'll take it. Liam: Yeah. I know. I've got a theory. The more the AI is getting involved with everything, the more the analytics is getting involved, the more the Jamie: Go for it, Liam: more people are are waiting for people to tell them things. I think it's making some of these coaches be like, well, the analytics guy'll tell me this, the blah blah blah person will tell me this. The edit's gonna ha hate me slurring, blah, blah, blah. Jamie: See? Liam: So, and I think they're waiting for all these cues. And I think back in the day, some old school coach But however much of a wrong than they would, would have been like, take the knee, take the points. Like, do you what I mean? I think you can't be overly reliant on these AI mechanisms, analysts, whatever. Don't get me wrong, that's my job. But Jamie: Yeah. Liam: you you've still gotta just ta take the gut and just say, just sort sort your team out. But I mean, cup I mean, yeah. Jamie: I've... yeah, I mean... Liam: Anyway, high drama, watch the highlights if you can. But I mean, Jameis Winston, I just want to give a little Jamie: I'm real. Liam: shout out to him because 33 completions on 54 passes, 326 yards, three touchdowns, and importantly, no interceptions for the man this week. Isaiah Lightley got 11 of those catches for nearly 100 yards and two touchdowns. He is reborn in New York. And maybe it's just because they actually just use him rather than splitting with Mark Andrews and Malik Neighbours, 121 yards on 11 receptions of a touchdown. Bosh. There we go. any more for any more, Jamie? Jamie: No, I mean, there's so much you can say, but like the group chats were alive. I mean, I had to message you straight away being like, what the hell is going on? Liam: James is sending me James is ringing me. We're sending things. Do you know what though? I think you come out of this commanders, you're like, okay, we can compete with some teams, but the Giants, three, one and one without Jackson Dart, I think that I wanna call out one little thing as well. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: One drive, they got down to the red zone, they got down to the whatever, first and goal. They brought in JJ McCarthy for two plays. And then they took him out and brought Jameis on for the third down to try and throw a pass. It was really weird. And I'm worried that they're gonna try and shoehorn in JJ. Stay away from JJ. Your season's not lost yet. The season is lost when the losses come. Then you can maybe play around and try and change it. You have not lost. You only lost the game against the Rams when you had all the injuries. Giants, hold the four. Let's go with Winston. Mate, he is here for a short time, not a long time. He is here for the party. He is here for the fun. He is gonna throw you over 200 yards a game. I really believe that. Don't go for JJ. He please add. Jamie: Can I add? And at NFC, just as at NFC Easter's division, right? All four now we've covered already in the opening few games. None of them got a win this weekend and two of them played each other. Like, Liam: Yeah. Jamie: that must be one of the first times ever that like, I mean, to be fair, the last, these two teams tied in 2022. Like, guys, what are doing? Liam: Competitive in in division game. 4th&Tea: you Liam: So Jamie, you've got Texans at Titans. Jamie: Well, this was my, my tip, my, my wild take of a team of normal forcing the wings. They both pay each other. And this was not a contest. mean, Texans won this one 26, three in Tennessee. They're Houston's first win in the season. They limited what Tennessee to 187 total yards. And, it, yeah, it was, it weren't great for, for Tennessee and, Cam Wold as well. Do you know what? Cam Wold came out after the game so he's not a loser but in the league he's a loser and he's 3-19 now. Robert Salah, I don't know how long he's got left as well. Now they've fallen to 0-5. Season's basically over. Probably going to get, well, it's them or Dolphins for number one pick realistically now. And now, obviously the Texans got their weapons back so... Well, I say they got the weapons back, but shout out lovely defense, Will Anderson Jr. 3, so he looked an animal again. looked back to his, back, yeah, it's been good all season. just, he has, Liam: He's had a good season, it's just weird. Jamie: yeah, they just, for some reason, I think, yeah, Liam: It's Jamie: it is a weird look in it, but. Liam: Yeah, I mean qu I mean, we don't need to spend too much time on this game. Texans Jamie: Yeah. Liam: off the mat. D'Amico Ryan's has started calling defence again, and the defence is looking a bit more, I don't dare say it, popping. but yeah, I think not I think you know what, let's just see. Texans, Chargers, Dolphins can't see a win for any of these teams at the minute. Can't see when they like who they could beat apart from each other. So let's see. but Jamie: What do you think of the Marvin Harrison trade? Because that's basically game done. Liam: So does it say, yeah, yeah, game done. Do you wanna just cover what the trade was? Jamie: Yes, looking up now. there was an announcement also on Friday. Both teams didn't announce where they were going, but all signs were Texans anyway. Only 24 years old, top five pick in the draft only a couple of seasons ago. Did the Texans are giving up a second and a sixth rounder for his services? Which I don't know if it's any good or not, but mean, then he comes as a tandem now with Nico Collins and Liam: CJ Stroud was his quarterback and they had a really good year in college together. That is the, to me, that is the only thing. Weird wide receiver room in tech in as at Houston, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: though, because you've got Collins, who's the number one, maybe Marvin Harrison Jr. is the number two, but they've also got Higgins, who was a second round pick, who's out for the season but will be back. You've got Tank Dell, you've got Booty, you've got Xavier Hutchinson. you've there's there's a there's somebody else and I can't remember the name, but like how many teams can I name six wide receivers on that? I would also expect that quite a few other people to know. Like, seems quite a lot of receivers. Noel, that Jamie: Jay, what's it, Jaylin Noel got like a touchdown as well, yeah. Liam: that's the one. So yeah. Anyway, I if I'm the Cardinals, take that in a heartbeat. If the Texans can make it work, the Cardinals can't make it work. So yeah. 4th&Tea: you Liam: Next game. and it's a doozy. It's the Bengals at Miami. So What can we say? It wasn't that interesting, Jamie. It was it looked hot. Jamie: It looks closer than what it actually was. mean, so the Dolphins remain the only team not to lead in a game for a second in the entire NFL right this season. So it finished 31-24, Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes. It really was. Do know what? Jamar chase is down. I'm just going to chuck the ball in triple coverage. He's Liam: Yeah. Jamie: going to catch it. Liam: So I think what yeah, nice and fantasy that Jamar Chase played, cleared concussion Jamie: Yeah. Liam: protocol, and he's in. and the the Bengals defence actually just had Malik Willis's number. the cornerback came out before the ma before the match and said, We know what Malik Willis's cue is for when he's gonna pass it, like he does this little pat on the ball, he said, and everyone's like, You can't say that before the match, la la la la. And then he went off and picked him off twice, I believe. So yeah, not much to say about this one. The Bengals will roll on and take a three and two win. 31 to 24 to the Bengals against the Dolphins, who fall to 0 and 5. The Bengals didn't cover though. They were 7.5 favorites and they only won by seven. 4th&Tea: you Liam: So on to the next one. And it's G you, Jamie, and it's the Browns at the Jets. Jamie: wet conditions, the Browns looked like they won it and then they gave it all away. had, do you know what I see? It's clock management again. They could have, they did a few passing place and they should have run it. They could have run the clock down. They could have had time, the game, but instead a botch pump got the win for the Jets basically, which is the most Jets thing. Do you know what? There's this, obviously we've been call them Jamie's Jets and it's the Liam: Chinese Jets. Jamie: And, and you know what, you got to love Aaron Glenn, Raylan Allen stepped up. You mentioned it pre-show, but obviously, yeah, he got the first touchdown against his Cleveland, as a Russian touchdown against his Cleveland Browns. They have a touchdown Liam: I was gonna say, they have added some big. Jamie: against this Cleveland Browns defense. that, you know, 22 yard touchdown run with Raylan Allen with about three minutes left was basically it. I did think maybe DeShaun Watson maybe had one more drive lifting him, but in the end, Gino Smith kept relatively well, I mean didn't didn't get incepted like he was quite just Standard just as he has been the whole entire season hundred yards one touch and pass and the the Jets Because of that because that just punt the special teams if your special teams aren't on it It's gonna cost you games and it costs that Cleveland Browns this one Liam: Yeah, I think not loads to say I mean Denzel Boston looks he just Jamie: Mm. Liam: looks like a good asset for the Browns for whatever that situation looks like next year. so yeah. And Conception is getting a really healthy percentage of the passing game on the Browns. so I think they've got a lot for the future. I'll just not buying the Browns this year, not into it. but Conception did go down, look like a bit of bad injury. So Jamie: all four, yeah. Liam: We'll see. Hopefully he's okay. But that's, you know, a bit of promise for the future. And hopefully he's okay. Jets are coming up with a nice couple of fantasies. Garrett Wilson, another 100-yard game and a touchdown. And the Jets rush rushing game, whoever's in there is doing well. This was this was obviously Braylon Allen's biggest ever yardage game, first game over 100 yards. And yeah, well done, Braylon Allen. And my personal highlight of the game was a Jets fan in the car park at the tailgate, burning into S burning into Sean. I can't even say it, burning Jamie: You Liam: a DeShawn Watson jersey after the game. And the hate's gonna pile back on. Now he's not winning again. 4th&Tea: you Liam: On to the next one. And it's the Raiders at the Patriots. We're having some editing problems today. Shock Jamie: That was good fun, yeah. Liam: horror. But yeah, you know, we're a new pod. We've got time to make some mistakes. So yeah, it's the Raiders who fall to three and two with 17 points at the New England Patriots, who, I mean, with the biggest split of the day, biggest overachiever of the day, scored 45 points on what? Before today, look like a good Raiders who have been put well and truly back in their place. So 45 points every time I looked up to that game, it is Drake May, who we were calling the worst fantasy pick of the season so far. This week and last week, he has won. He's probably won your game weeks for you if you've got him. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: unless you're probably Jamie. So yeah. I mean, he is chucking it, running it, 26 of 34 passes for like 374 yards and four touchdowns. He's running as well, got a rushing touchdown. let's see what this looks like when AJ Brown comes back, because I bet you that man's recovery has all of a sudden started to speed up, and I don't know what's happened. The 'cause I mean there's a lot of injury Jamie: Shit. Liam: in the wide receivers. I think Drake May has just had to find his confidence with new receivers. Got a few games under the Jamie: Exactly, yeah. Liam: belt, and now he's finding it. And I think that's what it is. Going into the game, there's a couple of worries for this because the pressure that the Raiders were pro were putting on opposition quarterbacks was top five in the league. And that is where Drake May has struggled in a clean pocket. All games this year, even the bad ones, he has been top tier. He has just struggled when he's been under pressure. And this looked like a bad matchup, but there we go. Drake May takes them to the win. Interesting wrinkle at the end. Kirk Cousins, Kirk Coins, who we love. It was a nothing game. So they bring in Fernando Mendoza. He came in, he made his debut for about six, I think there's about six minutes left on the clock. and he made six of eight passes for 48 yards. nice to Jamie: thing is. Liam: see him make his NFL debut. I kind of still Jamie: Yeah. Liam: want to see Kirko chains, like you know, but I we i it's gonna happen at some point. Jamie: It will, but I think it's still too soon for him. when you are losing by that much and realistically, Patriots, I mean, they were out there top two in quarterbacks anyway. So it was a strange one, but I guess why not? Why not give him six minutes of trash, you know, trash yards and, you know, or garbage time, you know? And you know what? Why not? Good. the fair play to the Patriots. You mentioned it earlier with Drake May is for me at his best when he you when he throws the receivers that you've never heard of. Liam: Yeah. Jamie: week, this week, obviously Demarey with Douglas got two and then it was the other one. then who else do we have? Liam: Douglas. P that's what they call him, don't they? What a nickname. Jamie: Kyle Williams? Liam: Williams, yeah. Jamie: Yeah, but they're like bit part receivers that just get past around the league, you know, and then to be fair, that's what Tom Brady made his name on. Liam: Yeah. I think I think he might have been well, a hundred percent. And I I think he might have even been there for a while. But yeah, what he needed is just some I don't know. He needed just some, what's the word? Jamie: conference. Liam: Confidence and just a bit of connection, a bit of, you know, a bit of chemistry with Jamie: Yeah. Bonding. Yeah. Liam: just some of these receivers. It's it's it's new. and it's not that it's not as easy as it was for him last year. And I think he's just finding his feet more and more. quick shout out to as well, Brock Bowers as well, get it done with a hundred and ten yards and a touchdown. That man is unstoppable. And a little bit of injury news. Trevor Henderson looks like he's out, hurt his ankle. 4th&Tea: you Liam: On to the next one then, Jamie, and it is with you, and it is the Colts at the Steelers. Jamie: Yeah, let's not spend much time on this, but I would love to just talk about Jalen Moran because like that man, wow, explosive like anything. He 15 carries, yards. then six catches, right? Seven yards. Obviously got receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the game. And he was just, he just had one. It's weird that Rico Dowdell has just come back from injury and then Jalen Moran just slaps him one of his best games. He's going to keep Rico Dowdell on the sideline for a bit longer. but wow, was, yeah, finished 34-22 to the Steelers. Aaron Rodgers three passing touchdowns. And, you know, the Colts had to settle a lot of the times because of good defensive play from the Steelers. had five field goals, I think, in the end as well, the Colts. And they could only get 22 points on the board. The only other stat I've got for the Colts is that the five field goals in one game by Spencer Schrader is a... is a Colts franchise record tiebreak achievement. So that's one positive the Colts have got. Liam: Nice. Jamie: And, you know, we'll get we'll get on to Fulcum in the next show, but I think the Colts could be on the pile. Liam: Calls could be on the pile. yeah. Not loads to say from me. Good to see, you know, Aaron Rodgers still looks good in a clean pocket. And the running game, I think we said that the running game was slow at the beginning of the year. Now, Jamie: Hmm. Liam: let's feed Warren the ball. Like, I love to see him run. Like he's like he's like a little bowling ball, isn't he? I think he's a great runner. exciting to just watch. one little shout out, though. I mean, not good from the Not good from the Colts' point of view. They just like, I one thing to say, they're missing Alec Pierce. They can't convert these third Jamie: Yeah. Liam: downs. Like, they throw it to Tyler Warren, they throw it to Josh Downs. They're not third down receivers and they just seem to be getting tackled by about four people whenever they're catching the ball. which is they're just you know what, they're just an injured team and they're not as talented as they think. I think that's the best way to sum up the Colts. And Daniel Jones looks like a statue. He looks like he's not fully recovered from his leg injury last year. However, without being able to convert all the third downs, there is a star in the making. And it is someone you should be considering in your fantasy. He's not going to come up in the section later. But the Colts kicker is. He had Jamie: Mm. Liam: 21 points in my league this week. He's available in like so many leagues. Go pick him up. He Could be a league winner if you play with kickers in the league. 4th&Tea: you Liam: Broncos at the Chargers with me. So What can we say? Jamie, the Chargers are not looking good. This game started off okay. I think the Chargers and the Broncos division game, bitter spice. It didn't it wasn't all singing or dancing, and it got me thinking maybe the Broncos can only win at home. Because We've been saying this about Bonicks and the Broncos, they seem to be leaning on that home field advantage a lot. in the end though, they go on to win twenty three points to seventeen and they cover because they win by six, and they was three only three point five favourites. the Chargers are so battered, and this is the only thing that's giving them a saving grace, in my perspective. It's the first time in 50 years that three offensive linemen have made their debut on the same game. Right? They listed Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Lad McConkey as active because he is so injured that he should be on the IR or he shouldn't be on the field. But they haven't got enough bodies to fill the slots for the game. When one of the wide receivers got injured, they then said, Well, Lad McConkey's active and on the on field today and it's like well no he he can't play he's too injured I d I can't think of an injury crisis like this I've never heard of anything like like this is not even like the 49ers substation because a player gets injured just like before the before a playoff game they have got no warm they had they can't employ enough warm bodies to fill a roster Jamie: What is going on? Seriously, the LA Chargers, like I've just looked at their injuries. They've only got 17. And I'm not being funny, but like 49ers have 22, Lions have got 21, Commander's 20, Texan's 20, Panther's 27. But yet the teams all above them find ways to... Liam: But is that listed? Because this is the problem. I think they don't want to take people off the roster because I think Jamie: Well that's it, yeah. Liam: but I don't this there's something there is something going on because like you said, Lad McConkie's not injured on reports. Because but they don't want they obviously Jamie: Yeah, so like... Liam: don't want to like they d there's obviously no one that they can bring up or are confident enough to bring up to do a job. So they're having to just fill the the sheet. Jamie: Well they seem to force, was it Trey Harris to be their number one receiver basically, because they had nothing left, or they had Gadsden as well, I'm just trying to see who's actually, who caught the ball for them. Like, Hayder Rucci? Rucci? Caught a seven yard touchdown pass. Do know what? The Chargers should have won this game, right? They were 17-10 up. The Broncos had, they couldn't get anything going against the Chargers' defense for some reason. Fault and one, and Harbaugh decides, do know what? I'm going to take my foot off the gas, fourth and one for the Chargers, Justin Herbert, quarterback sneak, but obviously he didn't fancy it. You've got Amari Hampton, you've got, was it, Kimani Vidal. But why are they not, they just, yeah, but Liam: Well it wasn't a quarterback sneak. They were set up in wild card was it what is it wildcard? Jamie: they punted the ball back, didn't they? They were like, have the ball back Broncos. There you go. Liam: No no, but they also had a fourth and one and they set up not a quarterback sneak. Is it the wild card where they pop it off a bit to the right and they didn't do like a tush push quarterback sneak? Jamie: yeah, to the runner to it. Yeah, yeah. Liam: And Justin Herbert was pretending like he didn't know, so he didn't even do a leg drive. It Jamie: Yeah. Liam: was really strange game calling. on the other side, like you said, Sean Jamie: cost them the game. Yeah. Liam: Payton's taken back the play call in offense, and I think this looked like their worst game on offense. And I think that's an interesting wrinkle. Jamie: They look... I think so as well and I think... There's something... it just doesn't... I've seen it a lot. You said it perfectly. I don't think they're good on the road and I think they'll be lucky. I mean, they will make... They'll probably make the playoffs as a wild card on the road and I think that's where their journey ends this season. I can't see them getting past the wild card on the road. Liam: You think thinking about forking the Broncos? Well, no, probably a bit early for them. Probably a bit early for them. Jamie: I think they might, they'll make the playoffs, I think. But then the AFC North have all got three wins. I don't know. Liam: Well, I suppose what what we're trying to say is teams that don't make we'll see. Anyway, Justin Herbert he's looking frustrated. He got sacked like five times. He's getting hurt, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: and this guy, they just can't support him. But anyway, the Broncos cover on the road against the windless Chargers. 4th&Tea: you Liam: On to the next one. And it's the Lions at the Cardinals with you, Jamie. Jamie: Love it. Us two geniuses both back the Arizona Cardinals and they lost by 24 points in a 45-21 demolition. I will say Liam: Mm-hmm. Jamie: after the first quarter I was feeling rather smug thinking like do you know what Arizona look quite good they stopped the lion Liam: So that's sevenilla. Jamie: yeah 7-0 up the lions got stopped two three times I'm thinking I've actually called something Mystic Manc-tolo here we go do you know Liam: There's only one Mystic on this pod, Jamie, I tell ya. It's Jamie: I brought... Yeah, the black, exactly. I... Liam: Mystic Marshall from the Black Country. There you go. You don't don't be doing no accent impressions, I'll tell you that now. Jamie: I'll stop myself as well. Liam: Yeah. Jamie: Jacoby Brissett, you know, I brought him in on fantasy to replace Justin Herba and I think that was a genius bit for me. I mean, he got 29 out of 47, 292 yards, three touchdown passes. He looked good, but Jared Goff and the likes of... I mean, when you're playing with Jamiah Gibbs and... It was just relentless Lions attack over and over again. And the Cardinals just couldn't add them in the end. mean, Jimmy Gibbs, 150 plus yards, two touchdowns. It caught five catches, 50 plus yards. Sam Laporta was getting in on it, got a touchdown as well. James Williams got two. And it was the first time where like, it felt like the Lions team that I was expecting at the start of season. That's the Liam: Yes. Jamie: standard I want. That's the standard, relentlessness, passing to... different wires, different receivers. want Brown involved. I want the Porsche involved. I want Tesla involved. Tesla, we've got all these players, all these receivers. Use them, you know? Liam: Yeah, I mean, yeah, like you said, Arizona leading 7-0. Getting a couple I think they had three they had like three stops at the beginning, and then the Cardinals also got them, the the Lions, to go. They didn't get convert their next three third downs either, but they went to fourth down on all of them and they converted those Jamie: Ugh. Yeah. Liam: next three fourth downs, which is just fair play. But this is exactly the lions that we wanted taking risks. Battering people, you know, offense, offense, offense. and Jameson Williams, welcome back, you know. He Jamie: Yeah. Liam: is off. I've got him in a couple of my leagues, I was forced to play him, and that paid off if you as if you pla if you played him. shame about the Arizona Cardinals, but they've actually lost the last, let me get this right. They've lost the last nine games at home. And that's probably there's something going on there because I don't there seems to me to be no reason why the Cardinals are not doing better than this. Everything leading into this felt like it was gonna be a coin flip and just mad offense, but the Cardinals offense just fell off a bit. Jeremiah Love, I mean, I think he's gonna be a weapon. At the minute, he's not the passing down back. They're bringing on Algier, so he's not getting catches. Like You draft someone this high, I think you just have to trust him to stay on the field and like feed him the ball, pass him the ball, and let him cook. You don't take someone that's like could be an every down back, draft him that high in the first round, and then say, hang on, we don't want you to pass protect. We're gonna use all these other players. Interesting, but you know, Jacoba Brissett also is throwing for a higher rec he broke the record for the passing attempts last year for the Cardinals. He is on pace to beat that this year. So, anyway, not much more to say. Lions look like they like look like what we hope they'll be at the beginning of the season. And long may it continue. And they covered. 4th&Tea: you Liam: On to the next one. It's with me. And it is the fine wine 49ers at my Seattle Seahawks. So. Bit of a coin flip game, if you ask me. even going into it, I don't think anyone is confident either way. That what's your preference? Maybe Seattle's home field advantage might have been the difference, which I think is the way we was leaning on that. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: starts very spicy. It's a chippy game. I mean, Greenlaw gets ejected early. He Jamie: Yeah. Liam: tackles Sam Darnold off the pitch late. Flag anyway. Basically smashed him in some benches. All the defense. Dark side getting up in Greenlaw's face. In a way, fair play to him. He is by himself in the Seattle bench, giving it large, but he then headbutts Ernest Jones, Jamie: Thanks. Liam: who has no helmet on. Which to me, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: that's actually. Maybe you forget you've got the helmet on, but to me, that's just a bit too scummy. Whatever. It's chippy. This Sorry, we didn't say the score. The Forty Niners ended up winning thirty two points to twenty nine. which puts the Seahawks a three and two and keeps the Forty Niners undefeated. I don't know. The Seahawks To me, should have won this game. What they are is the what they were last year at this point. They are turnover machines. George Halani just spilt the ball one time. One time he's hit out. One time he's running and he just drops the ball. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Sam Darnold throwing interceptions. The man can't help himself. He went on a heat for the Super Bowl. But you take you you you look at this turnover battle, yes, don't get me wrong, the Seattle Seahawks defence is stepping up. I mean, Brock Purdy's first sack of the season. Mike Jamie: He was getting battered by the way and I had loved every single... I'd better just say I'm loving this because it's... It was the first Liam: Yeah. You l you love Brock Burner getting bad. But you know Jamie: time where the... Like you said, it was the first sack he had this season. It was the first time people actually... And you expect the seals to get to him. It was enjoyable. And the man behind you, by the way, I see you Liam: Yeah. Sorry. Jamie: swapped your tops around. Can we talk about that for... What's happened to your seal tops gone and now your Mike Evans tops? Liam: So this is a Mike Evans, books jersey. He's putting up the books like numbers for the 49ers, and I love it. So, Mike Evans, this, you know what? This is what we thought, this is what they needed from him. This is what the 49ers thought he was going to be. Mike Evans, hello. Seven receptions, 113 yards, one touchdown. But he just looked like a beast all day. This is what I mean by the Seahawks should have won. In the end, or at least got to overtime. The Seahawks have got enough time, enough timeouts on the clock. They're driving down. And Jackson Smith, the jig bat, who was a bit injured. He has a chance to take a pass. And of all the people in the league, he's probably the t in the top three people you'd trust to catch a pass. He just drops it. And I don't I can't even explain it. When I saw the pass go, when I saw how open he was, it just looked like it was meant to be. And he just dropped it. And like you said, the 49ers go up to Seattle and they walk away with a coin flip map a coin flip win. Well done to the 49ers. They're gonna have to deal with the Seahawks when they come back. These two teams the Seahawks look like a legit team playing against the Forty Niners like this. I don't know. Any more takes from you, Jamie? Jamie: Not the game breaking news. The NFL suspended San Francisco, France, Jesus. OAPs linebacker Greenloft one game after what he did yesterday. So yeah, as expected, you can't headbutt a man who's not got a helmet on, let alone I mean, it was crazy, but I mean, the game itself, you've called it spot on. I actually, it was a It felt like a divisional rivalry game compared to what we talked about earlier, like the Broncos chargers didn't have that spice, realistic, didn't... This was proper. Yeah. Liam: It this was spy like this was this proper you know what? Not the prettiest game. This was the biggest game of the season so far. Jamie: Yeah, definitely. we said, well, we both said it, think the 49ers were the best team going into it. We both still think they're probably the best team in the NFL right now. But we just thought that home field advantage would do Seattle, but stop turning the ball over. It's easier Liam: I mean Jamie: said than done, but like, just don't turn the ball over. Liam: But I mean, you take a three point loss, you lose Jamie: Mm. Liam: the turnover battle, you're dropping passes left, right, and centre, and this is a team that maybe went in with quite a couple of question marks against what was s just seemed to be an unfallible team. In a way, I think the Seahawks can take that. I think both teams march on to next week, going, We're we're in the fight here. 4th&Tea: you Liam: on to the last game of the late window, and it's the Bears and the Packers with you, Jamie. Jamie: Green Bay, I mean Green Bay absolutely destroyed the Chicago Bears and that's what it was. They were 14-7 up at half time, you think, maybe it could be a close one, could go all the way and then it was a 24 point win. They forced five turnovers throughout the game and what, know what's so frustrating is the fact that they just kept switching, like so Tyson Bajon in, Case Keenum in. And they, obviously without Caleb Williams still with his little hammy, little hammy tear, that's going to keep him out for all of another week. I mean, both of those quarterbacks, Keenum and Bajan, I mean, they combined for just under 200 yards, three interceptions. mean, Deandre Swift only got, what, just over 40 yards as well, did get a touchdown, but five turnovers in total for Chicago. You can't go away to a divisional rivalry after. you know, claiming you're to have the best offense known to NFL history. And then put up a game like that was, I know you got your second and third quarterback string. I don't like the sharing of snaps as much as they did. I would have. Yeah. Liam: Do you know what, Jamie? I don't think that was planned. I think the Green Bay defense put this offence in the ringer. And I think that they beat them up and got to them so much that they were like, Well, we've got to try something else. We've got to try something else. We've got to try something else. And I think, you know, Xavier McKinney picked off Bayon twice. I think Hopper. I think Hopper intercepted Case Keenum. so both both quarterbacks, they're making the turnover mistakes. They're getting to them. to be honest, my takeaway from this is Jamie, did you think the Green Bay Packers had this in them? Jamie: and I didn't think they had, okay, it's gonna say, I didn't think they actually have receivers at that level. then, but I mean, Liam: Golden might be paying off. Jamie: mate, they both looked good, you know? I think what did he get? What was that? Christian Watson got 143 yards, Golden got 123 yards, you think? Like, I didn't know J. Love had any. Liam: well no Jay, I think he d I think he mu he does, and I think y like you said, but Christian Watson, Jamie: It just needs protection I guess, but... Liam: I mean, yeah, I mean I spoke about Golden. I mean, if you talk about people that are drafted in the same draft, was it Golden and Burden playing against each other? Golden was giving Burden was giving it the big one. So all of the Packers defenders have been giving it back on social media about Burden saying we just want to make them give up and they're like, Burden gave up, see you later, go back to Chicago with your wind, and then basically Christian Watson, fantasy value pick of the year. He's been awesome. Like he's there with the he is there with the big, big, big boys like JSN and Chasing Fantasy. I mean I think he's beaten them, but depending on your format, I mean, I didn't think Griber had this in them. Jordan Love, you've you guys have now you've you've got the revenge, like Ben Johnson hates the Packers. For some reason, I don't think LaFleur expected that when it came. LaFleur, I think he picked this game at home and said, I am gonna beat these Bears. And the Green Bay Packers just came back with a they've they've got a running game. All of a sudden they've Jamie: Yeah. Liam: got a running game as well. Like this is just I don't know. I just didn't think that the Green Bay Packers had anything in them like this performance. Jamie: No, no chance. mean, does it make you feel, as a Bucks fan, it makes you feel better after the narrow pack has lost? Does it? Liam: But this is the I don't think the books are bad. Like Jamie: No. Liam: hot take. And I think well, Jamie, it's the NFL. Jamie: That's why we love it. Liam: That's why we love it. Okay, right. Any last takes on this one? Jamie: Bears, come on man. Liam: I mean, just to talk to our scheduled problems, this game got moved. It was meant to be in the in it was meant to be late window. Jamie: It was meant to be late window. Right. Liam: It was in the early window. Who knows what's going on? We've addressed it now. But the Green Bay Packers with the upset, let's just say the Bears didn't cover. 4th&Tea: you Liam: And now, onto our last game of the week, Jamie, that we're reviewing. Ravens at the Falcons. Jamie: Mine. Mine, Liam: Mine, Snoop Doggy Dog Jamie: Snoo... That's all I the little edits for. mean, wow. I woke up. Liam: You'll have to edit that, Jamie. Jamie: I woke up and the Falcons had a kick to make it an eight point game with a minute, minute fifty odd to go. You think cool, know, annoying individual rival winning, know, when Panthers are on fire, got to get Panthers in. First mention of the show, fifty odd minutes in. You know, we're on fire week and you just, I just don't want the Falcons to win. Wake up two hours later. the Ravens have won this game. It's unbelievable. It's 30-23 at overtime. You check why and you see the tweet before final score is that two is in the game. You think fantastic to our first row. Bosh, interception. It's like he's never been away. He is horrific and do know what? Without Penix, obviously he left injured. and wow, I mean, the Falcons look awful without they're basically back to week one, week two when they don't have Penix in playing for him. But I'll focus on a good quarterback. Tyler Huntley stepping up when it, when the team needs him, right? 24 out of 32, 200 plus passing yards, two touchdown passes. Derek Henry got a receiving touchdown. It's something I love it. I love when the King, King Derek's got a receiving Tud. So I something, just something good about that. Bateman did well 60 plus yards as well. And then Cole Hamilton stepped up when he needed him as well. Intercepts and overtime pass win the game. Baltimore Ravens 4th and T team and I didn't back them. Liam: Jamie, you've I've I've gotta say it now. You've got to start back in this fourth and T team. They are four and one. They've had one weird loss. I mean, what can I say? I'm gonna summarise this in one line, Jamie. Old birds teach new birds new tricks. Hang on, let me try that again. Old birds teach young birds new tricks. There you go. I mean, King Derek, like. There was a great couple of interviews before the match. Derrick Henry talking about Bijan Robinson saying he's the greatest in the game. He's the he's the best guy. That's who you should try to be. That is the man. Bijan Robinson just you could just see the like the commentator said that to Bijan, and he's like, no, Derrick Henry is like, he's the king for a reason. And you know what? This is a great game. you've got London, Pitts scoring touchdown. Jamie: Pits, he didn't mean to pass it to him. Liam: He did. It's fine. It's fine. And then you've got, you know what? Snoop Huntley. I don't know how people feel about backup quarterbacks. Do you go for the best quarterback to back him up? Do you go for the most stylistically like similar backup, you know, to back him up? The problem is Lamar Jackson is a one of one unicorn. There's no one like Lamar Jackson. But Snoop, I mean, he went he had a year away. He has been around this team. For so long and been around Lamar for so long. He is probably one of the quar the backup quarterbacks I have the most faith in. The fact that he's gone in and beaten a I mean Penix went out and it went wrong. The fact that he's beaten out Penix and the Falcons that have been balling. And yes, they're not quite looking as amazing as they were before, but 30 points, fair play. Like you can't say much more than that. That is a backup. doing his job, being a professional, and the team keeps rolling. So yeah. Great great game though. I love I quite like seeing the Ravens win. Jamie: Well, as the 4th and T team of the season, I do as well. Even though I sometimes don't back them. 4th&Tea: you Liam: So on to the next segment, and it's just our pick scoreboard for the for the week. So just to summarize where we're at of the predictions this week, Mystic Marshall is the winner. I predicted eight games correct this week, and Jamie predicted five correct, Jamie. Oof, pretty rough, pretty rough. Five games out of fourteen, Jamie, you've predicted correctly. Jamie: think that's my highest of the season. Liam: I don't know. But yeah. But talking about game predictions as well, we'll quickly cover our survivor picks. we've finished our third survivor of the season in week five, ladies and gentlemen. We don't have to cover Jamie: Do we... Do we have to cover it? my god. Liam: it, but we are. I'm three nil up. I I pick the Cincinnati Bengals to beat Miami. Jamie, who did you go with as your survivor pick of the week? Jamie: The team that just score 30 plus points a game. The Dallas Cowboys. Liam: Pfff how about them boys? I mean how about them cowboys? I mean, Jamie: How about them cowboys? Liam: to be honest, I'm in a I'm in a survivor pool, bit of a little betting thing. We all took a bit of money into the pot. I I match my picks from the pod. Jamie: Don't invite me to that, please. Liam: I went I need to, I need to. But I went with the Bengals. Jamie, the four remaining people in that pool, apart from me, all went with the Cowboys. Gimme the money! I'm the winner. Jamie: Mwahahahah Liam: So yeah. So don't worry. I think you wasn't in a ship by yourself, but the Buccaneers sunk whatever ship that was. Jamie: I Liam: what do they say? Fire the cannons. So, quick little wild take check-in as well. as we've been saying in the pod, Mystic Marshall got it right. Buccaneers to win by Eight or more, which they won by A and two interceptions. Jamie, did you get your section right as well? Jamie: smashed it. I said a normal four teams gonna win again. And not Liam: Exactly. Jamie: only did one win, I think two won. Liam: Think it a little bit of a cop-out for me, but you know what? I think next week, next pod, I think the Wild Techs are gonna have to get we're gonna have to ramp them up a level if we keep if we keep getting them right. Jamie: Life be wild, yeah. Liam: Yeah. So got two more segments left, so quickly we're gonna go into our fantasy pickups of the week. 4th&Tea: you Liam: Jamie, who are you looking to pick up this week? Jamie: Someone who actually impressed in a game after another wire receiver of the Pittsburgh Steelers got injured and I only just found out his name just before the pod was actually his name is actually Jeremy. Liam: Germany Jamie: Jeremy Bernard wire receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's probably the top. I'd say I wouldn't be surprised if he's at the top pick this week. He's probably going to start as number two wire receiver because obviously Pittman's out, Wilson's now out. All they've got really is now DK Metcalf, Freymouth obviously has a tight end but I think Jeremy, or as I was going to call him, Jeremy Bernard. It's probably, he's up there. Jeremy Bernard, he's the one you want. I think Liam: Jeremy Bernard, yes. Jamie: this week is a good, good pickup. I think I'll be surprised if anyone or that many people has him really. Liam: No, agree. so my first pickup of the week is gonna be Woody Marks, running back for the Houston Texans. Not only are we gonna get to see him next week in person, playing at Wembley, but David Montgomery, well, one, he's been a disappointment, but two, he is out, he's injured, and probably looks like he's not gonna play. So We'll see. Woody Marks in a what I'm gonna say is a running back needy year, there's not been lots of good pickups off the bench. so yeah, Woody Marks is my first fantasy pickup. I've got another fancy pickup. I thought you were gonna go. Jamie: No, I thought I was waiting for you to throw it. do you know what? Liam, who's your second pick up? Liam: Glad you asked Jamie. I'm a bit stuck on this one. There's a couple of people that I like these are not gonna be my second pickups of Jamie: Mm. Liam: the week, but I want to give a bit of a shout out. Isaiah Likely. He is maybe unlikely to be there, but if he is if he has not been picked up. Take that man, he's getting nearly a hundred yards. Jameis Winston is slinging the ball and he's getting touchdowns. Zay Lightly. My other one that I'd be taking is potentially Braylon Allen. Did you have either of those two, Jamie? But Braylon Allen, while Brees Hall is out, he's cracked a hundred yards. The running game in for New York Jets is looking strong. He's got yeah, hundred over a hundred yards and a touchdown this last week, and he is definitely rolling while Bruce Hall's out. But my second pick of the week, I warned against them at the beginning of the season, but they've proved it to me this week. I saw a different side of the Green Bay Packers. I'm going for Marshawn Lloyd. People have been avoid in my leagues, people have been avoiding him, people have not been picking him up. Pick him up. Green Bay can run the ball. Jamie: I picked him up for two weeks this season and the problem is they're O-line. They were missing a few pieces. Then obviously against the Bears they looked like they had all their pieces back and they could run the ball, could give Jay love some protection. So why not have another punt on him? Liam: Mate, Marshall Lloyd. Jamie, who's your second pick of the week? Jamie: Well, it's someone that you've picked up basically everywhere apparently. it's his, Liam: Yeah. Jamie: it's Kendrick, Kendrick Bourne, wide receiver. He's been about the league for, for donkey's years. He's like Arizona Cardinals now. He seems to be obviously got McBride as a, as a blanket, but he seems to be like, he's like a little lovely little safety blanket that just gets in places where like Brissett can find him. And he has been finding him. He just looks like he's, he's going to get your points. You want to get your points on the board? Liam: Awesome. So on to the last segment of the day, and it's winners and losers. Jamie, who have you got as your winner of the week? Jamie: Winners of the week. I counted them out. I thought they were awful this season. Surprising one. I think it was the Green Bay Packers. I counted J Love out. I thought their wide receiver call wasn't good enough. I thought their running game wasn't good enough. I thought especially their defense definitely wasn't good enough. I thought they up in the Vikings. But they look good now. They look good. Bears are a good team. They are. They didn't look at it. They didn't look at it against the Packers, but that's a great win for Green Bay at home. The visual rivalry game. That's my, they're my winners of the week. Liam: Awesome. So my winners of the week. I'm not gonna say all backup quarterbacks, but I'm gonna say backup quarterbacks. Because Tyler Huntley without Lamar keeps the fourth and T pods team rolling. He keeps the Ravens scoring. King Henry on track. Love that. So part one is for Tyler Huntley. But my bigger one, the my big love is going out to Jalen Daniels, the backup quarterback for Tampa Bay. undrafted free agent rookie has to win his place on the roster, has to beat out the backup quarterback. He gets a on the road primetime game against America's team. They've got no wins as a team. And that man goes and slings that ball, uses bookie, uses his weapons, and he gets the win. So Jalen Daniels, big winner of the week. On to losers of the week. And my big loser of the week. I think you're gonna find this on a bit of a rogue one, Jamie. I'm going for new head coaches on the hot seat. Because We've been saying that Todd Bowles might be the first coach to go. After this week, I've changed my mind on that. I think the losers this week are Jim Harbor and Dan Quinn. I think the vibes are bad around these coaches. Dan Quinn sort of did it with Jaden Daniels in his first year, and I think people were surprised. Caught people off guard, but now he's got this franchise quarterback and it's not looking good. And they're making mistakes and they're doing stupid things like not kicking a field Jamie: you Liam: goal to win and letting the clock run dead. That can't look good. I feel like Jamie: Yeah. Liam: you're gonna have three. At the minute it's three, one, and one. Whatever the record ends up being, they're gonna have the dash one extra at the end. Every time the owner sees that dash one for a draw at the end. They're gonna be like, that's the stupid game that Dan Quinn didn't kick a field goal. So I think the the Dan Quinn's got a hot butt up in Washington. And that yeah, Jamie: to Liam: and Jim Harbor as well. He just looks lost. So anyway, Jamie: He does look lost. Liam: they are my two losers of the week. Jamie: I have two losers of the week as well. Picture Liam: Ooh. Jamie: this, picture this, right? You fly from Philadelphia, you fly from Jacksonville to England, right? You land, you go through it all. Obviously, all right, Liam: I like this one, Jamie. I like this one. Jamie: picture this, right? Obviously, the Eagles only landed on Friday, so it's not as bad, but the Jackies was a hero all week. They're loving it. They love the game. They love it London, right? First play of the game. You get two Muppets scrapping in the middle when a bloke sprints in Pasha for a 90 yard return kickoff touchdown. I know it didn't count, but my losers of the week, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. who actually has been involved quite a bit for the Eagles. Look like actual roster rather than just special teams, right? He's actually been playing. Playing linebacker, Liam: He's a proper starter. He plays he plays a lot of snaps. Jamie: like he's a good player for them. He's useful. He's been, he's been used a lot. Let his team down. And obviously Brian Thomas Jr. the other one. 13 seconds, you flew all the way here for 13 seconds and you both got ejected. So they are my losers after their scuffle and brawl in the middle of Tottenham's pitch. Liam: That's our winners and losers of the week. Jamie: you Liam: Right. Jamie, that's it. Week five in the bag, wrapped up. Jamie: It was actually a brilliant weekend of football again. Liam: You know what? Some about, you know, this time of year might not be the most exciting, but when it's in London, you've we've got over the excitement. We've got Jamie: Buzz. Yeah. Liam: London. We're gonna get the internal the international games get me buzzed as well. We're gonna hear about all that. And I'm gonna be like, nah, it's not as good as London. But yeah, I'm buzzed and just you know what, roll on next week. We're gonna go go, we're gonna go do the preview pod later this week. I think we bought we might do a little bit of, you know. Mooching around London ourselves. We're we're meeting up for that, aren't we? Jamie: Yep, yep, should be, Yeah, it should be good. Liam: Cheeky little content day. So yeah. cool.
