- 0:24At first, you'll be interested to know, 45 years ago, today, in 1979, the Israel-Egypt
- 0:33peace treaty was signed.
- 0:36Beginning at the Camp David Accords in 1978, under President Carter, Egyptian President
- 0:41Sadat, and Israeli Prime Minister Begin, resulted in the first peace treaty between Israel and
- 0:47Egypt.
- 0:49Despite political and negotiation challenges, this landmark agreement marked a high point
- 0:55in the Arab-Israeli peace process during Carter's presidency, with future negotiations encountering
- 1:01significant obstacles.
- 1:04So now you know.
- 1:06And now you know what time it is.

- 3:44In local news, a dolphin stranded on Cape Cod was successfully released after being
- 3:51treated at the Dolphin Rescue Center, a new short-term rehabilitation facility in Orleans,
- 3:57Massachusetts.
- 3:59The International Fund for Animal Welfare reported that this dolphin was the center's
- 4:04first patient, requiring less than 24 hours of care before its release at Herring Cove
- 4:10in Provincetown.
- 4:12The facility addresses a significant need, given the area sees an average of 70 live
- 4:17dolphin strandings annually.
- 4:20The dolphin, suffering from shock, seawater aspiration and trauma, received intensive
- 4:26care and also received a temporary satellite tag for monitoring.
- 4:37Now on to sports.
- 4:39The Connecticut men's basketball team advanced to the Sweet 16, dominating Northwestern with
- 4:45a 75-58 win.
- 4:48Their quest for back-to-back national titles continues as they face San Diego State next.
- 4:55Eukon's impressive streak includes 29 non-conference wins by double digits, showcasing their dominance.
- 5:03Despite a poor three-point shooting performance, they dominated inside, with key players Tristan
- 5:10Newton, Cam Spencer, and Donovan Klingon leading the scoring.
- 5:15Klingon notably achieved a 14-14 double-double with eight blocks.
- 5:21Eukon's comprehensive strategy has them poised for potential championship success,
- 5:26reminiscent of Florida's back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.
- 5:34Last night in local sports.
- 5:37The Celtics on the road lost to the Hawks, 120 to 118.
- 5:43And tonight.
- 5:44The Bruins are on the road in Florida to skate with the Panthers.
- 5:51And top news, targeting belly fat specifically for weight loss is largely a myth.
- 5:58Our bodies decide where to store and lose fat based on factors beyond our control, such
- 6:04as genetics and biological sex.
- 6:07Although visceral fat, which accumulates around the abdomen, poses health risks, the strategies
- 6:13to reduce it aren't localized, but rather impact the whole body.
- 6:19Weight loss through a calorie deficit and regular exercise, including high-intensity
- 6:23interval training, can reduce overall body fat, including abdominal fat.
- 6:29However, no diet or exercise plan can promise to target belly fat exclusively.
- 6:36The variability in body fat distribution is natural and largely predetermined, making
- 6:42generalized weight loss the most effective approach.
- 6:47And business news.
- 6:49The U.S. Treasury market, the world's largest financial market, is expanding rapidly, raising
- 6:55concerns among investors about potential instability.
- 6:59With annual U.S. Treasury issuance nearly doubling since the pandemic, the market grew
- 7:05to $27 trillion by 2023.
- 7:09This growth is driven by the government's need to finance deficits through bond issuance,
- 7:14amidst expectations of continued government spending increases.
- 7:19The market's expansion and regulatory changes could pose challenges, including potential
- 7:24cash shortages similar to those in 2019 and 2020.
- 7:29The shift towards more short-term debt and the changing landscape of Treasury buyers,
- 7:35including reduced bank purchases due to regulatory constraints, are notable trends.
- 7:41Despite these challenges, demand for Treasuries remains strong, partly due to limited alternatives
- 7:47in the bond market.
- 7:49The role of foreign investors, especially from Japan, remains significant, though changing
- 7:54global financial conditions could affect their participation.
- 8:00In crypto movement, Bitcoin is now over $70,000.
- 8:06Ethereum is at $3,600.
- 8:09And Solana is nearing $200.
- 8:15Moving on to a more local vibe.

- 9:00And now back to the show.
- 9:04Let's talk tech.
- 9:06Nissan has updated its electrification strategy, aiming to electrify 16 out of 30 vehicles
- 9:12by 2026, signaling a shift towards more sustainable transportation.
- 9:19While specifics on the all-electric versus hybrid mix remain unclear, the U.S. market
- 9:24can expect seven new models, including e-power and plug-in hybrids.
- 9:31This move marks a progression from Nissan's 2021 promise, though comparisons are challenging
- 9:36without detailed vehicle classifications.
- 9:39Additionally, Nissan anticipates 60 percent of its global portfolio to be electrified
- 9:45by 2030, increasing the total to 34 vehicles.
- 9:51Amidst these plans, Nissan seems to be recalibrating its ambitions regarding all-solid state battery
- 9:57technology, now targeting a broader range of battery innovations by 2028.
- 10:06And in entertainment news, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is rebooting with a TV series
- 10:12at Amazon and GM Studios as Making Progress, which showrunner Vena said expressing her
- 10:18enthusiasm for adapting Stieg Larsson's iconic novels for television.
- 10:24The series aims to introduce a new incarnation of Lisbeth Salander, showcasing a woman who
- 10:30defies societal norms.
- 10:33While details remain sparse, this standalone story promises to bring a fresh perspective
- 10:38to the celebrated Millennium Trilogy, which has already inspired multiple film adaptations.
- 10:45Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the day.
- 10:52And today, our quote comes from Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, said,
- 10:59It is good to realize that if love and peace can prevail on Earth, and if we can teach
- 11:04our children to honor nature's gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be
- 11:10here forever.
- 11:13And that's a wrap for this morning.
- 11:15Remember to stay tuned tomorrow for more news and updates.
- 11:18Have an amazing day, my good friends.
