- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katie, and Josh.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Fix 100. We're all pretty stoked to take a look
- 0:06Speaker 2: at all of Katie's food pictures on her phone from
- 0:10Speaker 2: this weekend. That's always a good time for us.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I know.
- 0:13Speaker 2: That's a lot of fun when we come in on Monday.
- 0:15Speaker 2: There's a lot of good eating.
- 0:17Speaker 1: To be had this weekend. I'm telling you.
- 0:19Speaker 3: I celebrate fried chicken Saturday at Safe Point every.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Week, even though I just totally made that up.
- 0:24Speaker 4: But I celebrate weekly.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot of good food.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I love looking at all your food pics when
- 0:30Speaker 2: you come in on Monday. I can't get enough of it.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I do it.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Like, Sunday night, I'm laying in bed. I'm like, oh,
- 0:34Speaker 2: I can't wait to see all Katie's food pics.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I prepare them in order so I know I'm ready
- 0:39Speaker 3: to go. You know, when I come in, I'm like, look, okay,
- 0:41Speaker 3: so this was Friday.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Uh-huh. It's chronological. Saturday, Sunday morning, last night. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So I'm ready to show you each.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Big old oily turds out of this one. All right, so.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I got to ask you guys, how did you feel
- 0:55Speaker 2: about wine time on Friday night?
- 0:56Speaker 4: I had a blast.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It was fun. It was so much fun.
- 0:59Speaker 2: A lot of great listeners out there and a lot
- 1:01Speaker 2: of listeners that probably shouldn't come to events anymore.
- 1:04Speaker 4: We'll just throw that out there. But some really, really
- 1:07Speaker 4: good people.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Some big fans of the radio station and this morning show.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So we can't thank you guys enough.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah. There were a lot of people who came out
- 1:15Speaker 3: to say hi. It was great to see you all.
- 1:17Speaker 3: You got your drink on. And that was the perfect
- 1:20Speaker 3: place to do it at Elitch Gardens. I can't tell
- 1:22Speaker 3: you how many people came to me and said, it
- 1:24Speaker 3: was a great idea to have that Ferris wheel going.
- 1:28Speaker 3: That was like their favorite part is going and drinking
- 1:30Speaker 3: their wine in the Ferris wheel. And it's just like
- 1:34Speaker 3: you get to see all of Denver. I tried to
- 1:36Speaker 3: get you two to go up there.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I wasn't going to do it. I wasn't feeling it.
- 1:40Speaker 4: It was funny.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You could tell how many people had a little too
- 1:43Speaker 2: much wine because they were standing there just staring at.
- 1:45Speaker 4: The Ferris wheel, mouth breathing, watching it go around and around.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I was like, oh, we better... We better cut them
- 1:50Speaker 2: off a little bit.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Maybe your last glass.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I was talking to our big boss, Joel, at the
- 1:55Speaker 2: end of it. And we were talking about the setting
- 1:57Speaker 2: and everything. And I was like, you could not get
- 2:00Speaker 2: a better picturesque setting than there. After the sun went down,
- 2:05Speaker 2: all the lights were on on Main Street. And we
- 2:07Speaker 2: had the DJ set up in front of the Ferris wheel.
- 2:09Speaker 2: And it was going with all the lights. And everyone
- 2:11Speaker 2: was dancing.
- 2:12Speaker 4: It was really nice.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It was amazing.
- 2:14Speaker 4: And he goes, well, get ready because we're doing it
- 2:16Speaker 4: again next year.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Well, we better. I mean, everybody loved it. Everyone I
- 2:20Speaker 3: talked to said it was a great idea. So, yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 3: props to the big man, Joel, because I know a
- 2:25Speaker 3: big part of it was his.
- 2:26Speaker 1: So, yeah, it was fun. It was so much fun.
- 2:29Speaker 2: The 360 camera was fun. All of us tried to
- 2:31Speaker 2: get onto it. It was Josh, Katie, Nina, Synergy, Big Rob,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and then I tried to hop on at the last
- 2:38Speaker 2: moment to get one of those shots of all of
- 2:41Speaker 2: us and Rob's big ol' butt shoved me off. So.
- 2:43Speaker 3: No, to be completely fair, I was in front of
- 2:46Speaker 3: him shaking.
- 2:47Speaker 4: My big ol' booty like there was no tomorrow. Oh,
- 2:49Speaker 4: so you was booty to booty and then boom, Jeremy
- 2:51Speaker 4: got bounced off.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I think you were just the, yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 5: I think you got one revolution and then it looked
- 2:56Speaker 5: like you vanished.
- 2:57Speaker 2: So it's funny, if you watch the video on the instance,
- 3:00Speaker 2: there's like, I think I made it through two spins
- 3:03Speaker 2: and you see me go, Nina was like holding me
- 3:05Speaker 2: back and Rob finally gave me that final bounce and Afterwards,
- 3:10Speaker 2: he came up and apologized.
- 3:11Speaker 4: He's like, I'm really sorry I bounced you off. He's like,
- 3:12Speaker 4: I'm fluffy. I'm sorry. It's all right. I was on
- 3:16Speaker 4: there for two spins.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And then the only other observation was we saw Baby Na.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Ah, that Baby Na. And her boyfriend.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Who was fashionably late.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Well, you know, she had to work. Like, that's the thing.
- 3:27Speaker 1: She didn't even get off until 6 o'clock.
- 3:29Speaker 5: So late.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So then she worked in Boulder. So she was working.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah, her boyfriend was there, too.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I like to call him Mr. T. Isn't that funny?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 4: I thought he was a hobo at first.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And Mr. T. No, that's the style, Jeremy.
- 3:41Speaker 4: That guy's got to get a haircut. That's the style.
- 3:43Speaker 1: But no, I love to see them.
- 3:45Speaker 3: They were great. They had a great time as well.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Baby Nana is also not a fan of the Ferris wheel.
- 3:50Speaker 1: She forgot she's afraid of heights. And then she's all
- 3:53Speaker 1: the way up there.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Oh, she did it? And she was like, oh, no.
- 3:56Speaker 1: She's all the way up there. Oh, yeah. I forgot
- 3:59Speaker 1: I don't like this.
- 3:59Speaker 2: For me, the best part was when Baby Nana got there.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You see her coming over, and you're like, baby. And
- 4:06Speaker 2: you started breastfeeding her. But then she.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Said, hi, Jammie. And then she goes, where are the snacks?
- 4:15Speaker 4: That was it. She just showed up. She said, hi, Jammie.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Where are the snacks at?
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's time for a Mix 100 Sports Report because we're
- 4:29Speaker 2: so tapped into the world of sports.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I eat, breathe, and sleep spores.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I can't get out of my box.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Broncos knocked down the roster of 53 players. We're good
- 4:43Speaker 4: to go. Three quarterbacks this season.
- 4:45Speaker 2: The weird thing that they're going to do, I was reading,
- 4:48Speaker 2: is they're actually going to put all three quarterbacks at
- 4:50Speaker 2: the same time out when they're playing.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So do it.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Oh.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's going to be something unique that the team's trying
- 4:55Speaker 2: this year.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Who's getting the ball?
- 4:57Speaker 2: One will throw to another, to another, to another. Flea
- 5:00Speaker 2: flicker that, and boom.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You can only throw behind now.
- 5:02Speaker 5: No forward pass.
- 5:04Speaker 4: No, they changed the rules. You can throw it wherever
- 5:05Speaker 4: you want.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I've heard now this year they can throw it up
- 5:08Speaker 2: into the crowd, and then somebody from the crowd can
- 5:10Speaker 2: throw it to a player, and they can still score
- 5:12Speaker 2: a touchdown.
- 5:12Speaker 5: They're going banana ball away with it, right?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Sports.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Pretty tapped in. I've been reading a lot of highlights
- 5:17Speaker 4: on Reddit. Okay, so there's a new research study out.
- 5:21Speaker 2: They surveyed 5,000 Americans, and it sounds like traditional tailgating
- 5:27Speaker 2: is kind of taking a dump right now. People don't
- 5:30Speaker 2: really care to go out and tailgate. What they want
- 5:33Speaker 2: to do now is homegate. They want to stay at
- 5:36Speaker 2: home and do some homegating because of comfort and flexibility.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 5:43Speaker 2: The two main keys, because you can stay at home
- 5:45Speaker 2: and you got your own bathroom and You know where
- 5:47Speaker 2: the food's coming from?
- 5:48Speaker 4: You got a couch?
- 5:49Speaker 1: I'd take that.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Why not?
- 5:51Speaker 4: So, yeah, home gating now is the big thing. I'm
- 5:54Speaker 4: all for it.
- 5:54Speaker 5: I don't want to stand out there. Yeah, you're getting
- 5:56Speaker 5: to the lots at, like, what, 10 a.m. for a 2.15 game?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yeah, no.
- 6:00Speaker 5: No, thank you.
- 6:01Speaker 4: No way.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Home gating is way more my speed.
- 6:03Speaker 5: I'm for it.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Barf.
- 6:05Speaker 2: And there's a new survey out talking about fast walkers
- 6:07Speaker 2: and slow walkers.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Slow walkers suck, right?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Slow walkers suck, essentially. We needed a survey for this?
- 6:15Speaker 2: That was essentially the moral of the story. They surveyed
- 6:17Speaker 2: everybody and they said, how do you rate yourself as
- 6:20Speaker 2: very fast, somewhat fast, average, and then slow, and then
- 6:23Speaker 2: very slow. And they started talking about how when you're
- 6:28Speaker 2: walking around with a slow walker, How absolutely horrible that is.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Because you've got to slow down your pace, because I'm
- 6:34Speaker 2: a crazy fast walker.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I'm a fast walker, too. And when people call you
- 6:39Speaker 3: out on being a fast walker, I'm like.
- 6:41Speaker 4: You shouldn't walk faster.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I shouldn't have to walk slower. You should pick it up.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Put down your can of beefaroni every night and get
- 6:49Speaker 2: your steps in, is what I'm saying. Quit pounding down
- 6:53Speaker 2: the Chef Boyardee and get outside and make a loop
- 6:55Speaker 2: around a lake.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Try to keep up, biatch.
- 6:59Speaker 2: But, yeah, slow walkers are the worst because when you're
- 7:01Speaker 2: walking with somebody like that, like, oh, my God.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah. It's way harder to slow your pace down, I think,
- 7:07Speaker 1: than it is to speed it up.
- 7:08Speaker 3: It is.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Because you feel like you're wasting your life.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Like, I got places to be.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Well, you're never going to get there.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 5: That's what it feels like.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm never getting to my destination.
- 7:16Speaker 5: It really does. It does.
- 7:17Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:17Speaker 4: What else you got?
- 7:18Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:18Speaker 5: We're going to get in our time machine and talk
- 7:20Speaker 5: about Frankie Munez because he made headlines over the weekend
- 7:23Speaker 5: in 2004. So over 20 years ago. The childhood star
- 7:27Speaker 5: actor left acting and he wanted to pursue racing. And
- 7:31Speaker 5: he has been struggling for darn near two decades to
- 7:34Speaker 5: make any headway in the world of motor sports. Well,
- 7:37Speaker 5: he competed in the AM class of the GT4 America
- 7:41Speaker 5: Series over the weekend.
- 7:42Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 7:43Speaker 5: And he got his first win over the weekend. Really?
- 7:45Speaker 4: Are you kidding me?
- 7:46Speaker 1: The first one?
- 7:48Speaker 5: His first win ever after in the GT40XYZ.
- 7:54Speaker 4: And then after this, he stacked wins.
- 7:56Speaker 5: On Friday, he got the win, and he had to
- 7:58Speaker 5: race again on Saturday and got another win, and he
- 8:01Speaker 5: was in tears.
- 8:03Speaker 4: After the race.
- 8:04Speaker 5: I'm emotional because I've honestly had kind of two of
- 8:07Speaker 5: the worst weeks of my entire life, to be honest.
- 8:08Speaker 5: I came here really low. Had a good day yesterday.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Felt really good today. So to get this win is,
- 8:13Speaker 5: I mean, thank you, God, my team.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Ford, this is unbelievable.
- 8:17Speaker 5: I feel so incredible.
- 8:19Speaker 1: This is amazing.
- 8:21Speaker 5: He said after that, the whole time after the checkered
- 8:23Speaker 5: flag came out, I was crying in my helmet. I
- 8:25Speaker 5: made this sacrifice to my family to go and race
- 8:28Speaker 5: and to be an inspiration for my son. I'm so
- 8:31Speaker 5: grateful to Ford Racing Tech Sports and my entire team,
- 8:33Speaker 5: there is no feeling like this on the planet.
- 8:35Speaker 4: This guy has had health problems.
- 8:39Speaker 5: I'm happy for him.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I bet you he's a slow walker.
- 8:42Speaker 5: No, he drives fast. Lives his life a quarter mile
- 8:46Speaker 5: at a time.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Malcolm's no longer in the middle. No, he's in the front.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He won. He's number one.
- 8:53Speaker 5: We've got drama.
- 8:54Speaker 1: We've got Denver talking.
- 8:56Speaker 5: It's the Mile High Hype.
- 8:57Speaker 2: With JKJ.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Legends and icons.
- 9:00Speaker 1: On Mix 100.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it is time for the hype.
- 9:03Speaker 2: All the big stories of the day brought to you
- 9:04Speaker 2: by Mountain High Appliance, where you can get amazing savings
- 9:07Speaker 2: throughout all the showrooms. Whether you're replacing one appliance or
- 9:10Speaker 2: remodeling an entire kitchen, you can find top brands online.
- 9:13Speaker 4: And extra device.
- 9:14Speaker 2: All you have to do is go to mountainhighappliance.com. All right,
- 9:18Speaker 2: how about this movie that's coming out?
- 9:20Speaker 4: Hooters, the movie. It's real.
- 9:24Speaker 2: It's the story of how Hooters was founded based on
- 9:27Speaker 2: actual events. It follows two friends from Iowa named Ted
- 9:31Speaker 2: and Linny. Ted is trying to find a woman named
- 9:34Speaker 2: Diane from a spring break commercial, so he convinces Linny
- 9:38Speaker 2: to take a road trip with him to Clearwater Beach, Florida.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And then I guess they find her, and Diane would
- 9:45Speaker 2: later become the first Hooters girl.
- 9:47Speaker 4: The movie is being.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Described as a hilarious buddy comedy, an inspiring biopic, and
- 9:53Speaker 2: a wild.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Journey based on a crazy idea. Why not, I guess?
- 9:58Speaker 4: It's an iconic restaurant.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's been, you know, joked about and lusted after for many,
- 10:04Speaker 2: many years. I was reading more about it. The working
- 10:07Speaker 2: title of.
- 10:08Speaker 4: This movie is called Honk Honk.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Come on, they can do better than that, Jeremy.
- 10:15Speaker 1: That's funny. But I would be interested in that movie. Like,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I think that that's something... We've had Hooters in our
- 10:21Speaker 1: lives as far back as I can remember.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Long time.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So I'd like to know the, you know, startup point.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Hog hog. You're so bad.
- 10:29Speaker 2: There is a story coming out of California. Montclair, California.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Police are searching for a stolen truck. carrying 50,000 cans
- 10:38Speaker 2: of PBR. It's about 40,000 pounds worth of beer worth
- 10:43Speaker 2: about $ 45, 000. It disappeared after leaving a distribution center headed
- 10:49Speaker 2: for Tucson, Arizona. I guess there was a bogus driver
- 10:53Speaker 2: who reportedly made the pickup and he walked away with
- 10:56Speaker 2: a bunch of beer. There was a second theft that
- 10:59Speaker 2: later occurred at the same facility using fake papers and
- 11:03Speaker 2: the whole thing, and they got away with.
- 11:06Speaker 4: $ 25, 000 worth of beer.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Jeez.
- 11:08Speaker 2: So if you see two gigantic beer trucks and a
- 11:11Speaker 2: couple of wasted dudes, I think you found them.
- 11:14Speaker 4: That's ballsy.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I mean, are we going to check security at this spot? Like,
- 11:18Speaker 1: are we going to up the security or change out
- 11:20Speaker 1: a few people? I don't know.
- 11:22Speaker 4: How do you get away with that?
- 11:23Speaker 2: 50,000 cans of PBR, and then what do you do
- 11:26Speaker 2: with them?
- 11:27Speaker 1: You drink them.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Drink them.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Yeah, you've got a fridge big enough for all that.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 11:31Speaker 4: All right, so how about this?
- 11:33Speaker 2: Denver switched over to those VO scooters and e-bikes.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Getting rid of the lime and the bird bikes. And
- 11:41Speaker 2: they started tracking rides. And during the first two months
- 11:45Speaker 2: of the new VO scooters program, They had 145,000 rides
- 11:51Speaker 2: completed and approximately 1.3 million trips on those bikes.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I've used them.
- 11:58Speaker 4: That's pretty wild. I've been on those scooters.
- 12:00Speaker 5: I was on the Lime one, though.
- 12:02Speaker 4: They were fun.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Are they fun? I loved it.
- 12:05Speaker 4: You zipping around downtown in those?
- 12:07Speaker 5: Well, now that they're little bikes, they're like the little e-bikes.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to sit.
- 12:11Speaker 5: Katie and I saw one of the VOs fly over
- 12:14Speaker 5: a median over the weekend.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 12:18Speaker 2: They say VO has issued more than 1,800 warnings for violations,
- 12:23Speaker 2: you know, probably for speeding like that. And fines began
- 12:26Speaker 2: earlier this month. But man, that's kind of trippy to
- 12:28Speaker 2: think about. 1.3 million trips around downtown and those goofy things.
- 12:32Speaker 1: They'd be busy.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I got one final thing for you.
- 12:34Speaker 2: The Colorado's Fat Marmot Week has officially ended.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I love it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And the champion is a six-year-old female marmot named Dawn.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yes, Dawn is the winner.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Dawn is weighed in at an enormous 13.2 pounds, which
- 12:50Speaker 2: is big for the marmots.
- 12:52Speaker 4: They say it's one of the heaviest marmots ever recorded.
- 12:55Speaker 4: by the laboratory.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Get it, Dawn. I voted for Dawn.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Did you vote for Dawn?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the Nana's middle name, so I totally.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Voted for Dawn.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Nana Dawn.
- 13:04Speaker 2: They say yellow-bellied marmots need to roughly double their body
- 13:08Speaker 2: weight during summer because they can lose half of it
- 13:11Speaker 2: during hibernation.
- 13:12Speaker 4: It's much like my mother-in-law. She doubles that weight during
- 13:14Speaker 4: the summer. She's my little Don. All right.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:25Speaker 3: We have some really sweet news coming out of that
- 13:28Speaker 3: Bronco game from Friday night. Now we all know Broncos
- 13:31Speaker 3: got a big win against the Minnesota Vikings, but before the.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Game, we made some history there.
- 13:36Speaker 3: An all woman Colorado state patrol team escorted the Minnesota
- 13:41Speaker 3: Vikings onto the field. And that was the first time
- 13:43Speaker 3: that that happened. in CSP history.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So it was 50 years.
- 13:47Speaker 3: After the first women were admitted into the state's police academy.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So very inspiring. A couple of the ladies.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Were talking about it after the game about how, you know,
- 13:56Speaker 3: why haven't we done this before? But they love how
- 13:59Speaker 3: the community actually gets to see them in a different way.
- 14:02Speaker 3: They're not stopping them. They're not giving them tickets. They're
- 14:05Speaker 3: there to keep them safe. and cheer on the Broncos
- 14:08Speaker 3: with them. But with the woman-inspired message, I love it because,
- 14:12Speaker 3: you know, they talked about how young women who dream
- 14:15Speaker 3: of a big career that bears big responsibility like that.
- 14:19Speaker 3: It's so important to see other women in that role
- 14:22Speaker 3: and doing that so you can, you know, envision yourself
- 14:26Speaker 3: doing it one day. And they said don't underestimate who
- 14:29Speaker 3: you are and what you're capable of. of doing never
- 14:32Speaker 3: give up anything is possible. So just a very inspiring,
- 14:35Speaker 3: beautiful message.
- 14:36Speaker 4: And you get a taser.
- 14:36Speaker 1: For ladies everywhere. And you get a taser.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Which makes you awesome. And the Broncos got a win, too.
- 14:42Speaker 3: So go Broncos. But I did love to see that
- 14:45Speaker 3: story because anytime women are front and center, let's go, right?
- 14:50Speaker 1: Go Broncos also. Okay, and then the Waymo. Did you
- 14:53Speaker 1: hear about this? The Waymo being involved in an accident
- 14:55Speaker 1: last week. So it was a three-vehicle crash. I know, Josh.
- 14:59Speaker 3: This happened last week again. And so it was a
- 15:02Speaker 3: driver who was traveling like eastbound, westbound rather, on 8th Avenue.
- 15:06Speaker 3: So they crashed into the back of another vehicle. And
- 15:09Speaker 3: then the Waymo got hit from that vehicle.
- 15:12Speaker 4: So it wasn't the Waymo's fault.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It wasn't the Waymo's fault.
- 15:14Speaker 5: It wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault.
- 15:16Speaker 3: And in fact, it was an unoccupied Waymo, so nobody
- 15:19Speaker 3: was hurt. And that driver who was trailing was cited
- 15:23Speaker 3: in the crash. But it's making news because it's the
- 15:25Speaker 3: first crash that involved a Waymo here in Denver.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So everyone's talking about it.
- 15:29Speaker 5: So does it stick around or does the Waymo drive
- 15:31Speaker 5: off as it's just supposed to?
- 15:32Speaker 1: No, they got to stick around.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Yeah, they stick around and they were able to, you know,
- 15:36Speaker 3: figure out who was cited and.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Who was responsible for the crash.
- 15:39Speaker 1: License and registration, please. Exactly.
- 15:41Speaker 3: But, you know, like you would think, I don't know.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I just would think that that Waymo would have went
- 15:45Speaker 3: a little faster forward so as not to get hit
- 15:47Speaker 3: from behind. Because if you have cameras in all directions,
- 15:50Speaker 3: wouldn't you anticipate it coming?
- 15:52Speaker 1: I know, right?
- 15:52Speaker 4: It's its kink.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Hit me.
- 15:53Speaker 4: It's a Waymo kink.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Hit me now.
- 15:56Speaker 5: Hit me from the back. Hit me from the back.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I can see that.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Who's your daddy?
- 16:00Speaker 1: Who's your Waymo? He liked it. He was into it.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Harder. Harder. Back up and go again.
- 16:07Speaker 4: It's a Waymo kink, I'm telling you.
- 16:08Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Now drive around and hit me from the front. No,
- 16:13Speaker 4: from the side.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Okay, and then have you heard about this gifting scam?
- 16:17Speaker 1: They're really seeing.
- 16:18Speaker 3: It pop up in Aurora, but it's a little basic
- 16:21Speaker 3: but effective.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So what it is, authorities say.
- 16:24Speaker 3: They've seen an uptick in this kind of crime where
- 16:26Speaker 3: a vendor will approach someone with a gift.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It's usually like a cheap necklace or a cheap piece
- 16:32Speaker 1: of jewelry, right? So just like somebody, you know, on
- 16:35Speaker 1: the street. And they usually.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Target elderly and people who don't speak English. So they're
- 16:40Speaker 3: looking for a specific type of person, but they'll approach
- 16:43Speaker 3: that person with.
- 16:44Speaker 1: with a gift of cheap jewelry, right? They'll be like, oh,
- 16:46Speaker 1: look what I have for you. You know, you're so beautiful.
- 16:49Speaker 1: This will match your eyes.
- 16:50Speaker 3: That person will then go and try and take the jewelry,
- 16:53Speaker 3: and the person will grab their expensive jewelry. So whether
- 16:58Speaker 3: it's their necklace, they'll pull it off, or... They'll go
- 17:00Speaker 3: in for a hug and grab some like expensive ring
- 17:04Speaker 3: on their finger.
- 17:05Speaker 1: But they're being very aggressive about it.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Like some people are trying to be sneaky and just
- 17:08Speaker 3: grab the jewelry when they come in for a hug.
- 17:11Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 17:11Speaker 3: Like grab it off their hand or their wrist or something.
- 17:14Speaker 3: But some people are just aggressively grabbing that necklace.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Well, that's terrifying.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It's absolutely terrifying.
- 17:21Speaker 4: They're going to grab it from the wrong person and
- 17:22Speaker 4: they are going to get probably popped. Exactly.
- 17:25Speaker 3: But if you can imagine like them targeting like elderly
- 17:28Speaker 3: people who are by themselves.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Yeah, that's horrible.
- 17:31Speaker 1: It's awful. That's absolutely horrible. It's absolutely awful.
- 17:33Speaker 3: So what they're saying you can do to deter that
- 17:35Speaker 3: is if you are going to be out by yourself,
- 17:37Speaker 3: don't wear expensive stuff. Don't make yourself a target because these.
- 17:41Speaker 1: People are looking for you.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Put your clothes stuff on.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Put your stuff on that you got out of the
- 17:45Speaker 3: quarter machine. That's my advice to you.
- 17:48Speaker 2: It is a case for eating really crappy and really
- 17:50Speaker 2: salty food so you blow it up so you can't
- 17:52Speaker 2: get your rings off.
- 17:52Speaker 1: There you go.
- 17:53Speaker 4: There is a case for that.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Get your swole on.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Eat some chicken fried steak before you go out.
- 17:58Speaker 1: You ain't got to tell me twice.
- 17:59Speaker 2: You'll swell up and there's no way they're getting those
- 18:01Speaker 2: rings off.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Now that's the kind of advice I need.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Eat more fried chicken and save yourself.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Did you see the perp licking the finger trying to
- 18:09Speaker 2: make it slick?
- 18:10Speaker 1: It's not coming. Not today. Not today.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Not happening. I had an eight piece.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm protecting myself. I heard the advice.
- 18:18Speaker 4: I took that serious. I heard Jeremy on the radio.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Eat more fried chicken.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Eat more salty food. Blow it up.
- 18:26Speaker 1: There you go.
