- 0:48Dayna Roselli: Welcome to episode 279 of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli, along with Sean McAllister, here right in the heart of summer in Las Vegas.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: It's been hot, but not too hot.
- 1:00Dayna Roselli: We always like a little weather report at the top.
- 1:02Sean McAllister: We do.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's been really hot, but it doesn't feel unbearable yet.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: I I know it's unbearable.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: I guess like we haven't had like 120.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: We've had like 111.
- 1:13Sean McAllister: 113.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: 113.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: But surprisingly, that's not horrible.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: Well, it's so funny.
- 1:20Sean McAllister: I was uh texting with my mom the other day, uh, because back in New York they were getting rain and all that.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: I was like, did you get flooding or anything?
- 1:29Sean McAllister: She was like, no, but what about the heat?
- 1:31Sean McAllister: How's it out there?
- 1:32Sean McAllister: And I said, Well, it's gonna be like 113 today.
- 1:36Sean McAllister: And she she was like, Oh dear lord.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: But it really listen, when every single place you go has air conditioning, and the only time you're really spending outdoors is if you're like at a pool or there's misters going off, it really does it it helps.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: It's not like I don't know.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: Maybe and maybe it's just my desert blood.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: And if you're visiting, I mean obviously if you're working out in the heat, it's a different story.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Kudos to all our construction workers, every anyone who works outside.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like they also have it down, like they know how to dress, what to bring for their lunch and breakfast, and like, you know, ways to stay cool.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: Um, I always drive by and I'm like, wow, look at them go.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: Like they they have it down, but it has to be unbearable at moments.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: And yeah, I give them a lot of credit.
- 2:30Sean McAllister: But they get the job done.
- 2:32Sean McAllister: They sure do.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: Hey, we went over to Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas.
- 2:36Dayna Roselli: They launched a new Saturday brunch.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Now, Delilah is a supper club that is really, really cool at Wynn, and sometimes it's really hard to get into, too.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: So maybe you want to try a Saturday brunch that they just launched.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: They have two seatings.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: I think it's 11 and one.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: And one, yeah.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: And we went over for the launch day, and not only is it uh brunch, but you also get uh five-piece band, singer, dancers, entertainment.
- 3:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's wonderful.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: Well, and it's top-notch service too.
- 3:05Sean McAllister: I mean, Delilah Supper Club is a very uh I would say an exclusive kind of uh a restaurant.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: You know, they definitely they don't really encourage, they kind of uh ask you not to take photos or videos inside.
- 3:20Sean McAllister: So that's why you're not gonna really see any much about it on our Vegas revealed social media if you're looking for it.
- 3:27Sean McAllister: Um so that does add to the mystique of Delilah.
- 3:32Sean McAllister: And so getting in there, especially uh during the day on Saturdays for brunch, really does feel like something special.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: And it was busy, and the food was fantastic.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: You get to pick from a bunch of different things.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: I think that you know, here's the deal though, it is pricey, it starts at$150, but you're there, you've got the live music, you've got the singers, you've got what did we get?
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: Appetizer.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: I think we got like a bread basket with croissants and all sorts of different things at the beginning, a fruit plate.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: I don't know exactly each setup, but um, you got to pick some appetizers and you got your main course.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: They brought us out a little um tower sampling of of mini kind of desserts at the end.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: So look into that part.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: I'm not sure what comes with each price point, but you know, if you kind of want a swanky Saturday afternoon and you want a Viva Las Vegas, this could be it.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: And uh I ordered the King Crab avocado toast, and it was delicious.
- 4:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was so it was just packed with flavor and so yummy.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the steak and eggs, by the way, you get a lot of steaks.
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: A ton of steak.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: I was full.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I had to share it with you guys.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: I was like, I can't even finish this, and I finish everything.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: So it was definitely um, but listen, Sky D.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: Miles was singing when we were there, and gosh, we've probably talked about Sky on a past podcast before.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: Um, she's one of our fabulous performers, singers here in Las Vegas.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: I used to love going to see her over at the Tropicana.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: She would do the lounge.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: Oh, I love Sky.
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: She's all over the place doing stuff, but we did see her and we were reminded, you know, Sky is really such a Vegas experience.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: And she told us she is doing a show August 17th, and it's called The Joy Love Experience.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: And it's in the afternoon.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: Doors open at three.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: There's a meet and eat at 3:30 p.m.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: And then the show starts at 4:30.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: It's over at the space, just off the strip.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: Uh Mark Chinook runs a space and created the space, which does a lot of Monday Stark and different shows.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: They shoot podcasts over there.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: It's a great little um place.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: But anyway, if you're interested in doing that, um, you can go to thespacelv.com and look at the schedule and you'll see Sky's show in there.
- 5:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, and she was very excited about uh having this show that she is putting on herself.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: Like she is this is her show.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: You know, she's not a member of a band, it's not anything like this is Sky.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 5:57Sean McAllister: Which and she always has a fabulous wardrobe.
- 6:02Sean McAllister: So I fabulous can't wait to see what she what she steps out on stage in.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she works the crowd, she's great.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: She does.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: Um you know, and and we were thinking about our local performers, ones that do, you know, things like, you know, sing at Delilah, sing at a lot of these different supper clubs and lounges and stuff like that.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: And you know, I've been hearing a little bit of word on the street that it's been a little difficult lately.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: So um thinking of them and want to get out and support their shows.
- 6:32Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, for sure.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: Without a doubt.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: Um, well, you know, let's go from that to larger than life.
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: And what I mean is the Backstreet Boys, uh, they were larger than life for sure.
- 6:43Dayna Roselli: We went to see them opening weekend night three at Sphere, and we were blown away.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: That opening number was incredible.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 6:55Sean McAllister: And it because there's this whole uh video experience that leads into the the first song.
- 7:03Sean McAllister: And I saw somebody uh post on uh Instagram something that of it was a video clip of that opening number and how the guys uh appear on stage, and the comment under the video was like, where did they even come from?
- 7:21Sean McAllister: Because the video there's like a laser beam that shoots down onto the stage, and then all of a sudden there's the band.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: But they have like they each have their own little trapdoor in the stage and they just pop up from underneath.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: It was hard to it's hard to like focus to know what to look at because I was looking at the screen and I was also videoing the open because we wanted to get it for our television show, and so I was like kind of miss the them coming up from the stage part, and um, yeah, there's a lot to see.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: You're looking all over that that I don't know, the visuals in this show, incredible.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like everyone's raving about this show, and it's kind of like FOMO if you don't go now.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: It it is, and everyone's like, listen, Backstreet Boys, they had it back when you know the Millennium album came out in what 1999?
- 8:08Sean McAllister: And everyone was like, Oh, you know, these are the guys from TRL, the music, just about every song on that album is a hit.
- 8:16Sean McAllister: And now, I mean, I'm not good at math, but however long it is from 1999 to 2025, 26 years.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: 26 years.
- 8:27Sean McAllister: Uh, and they're still they are on top of their game.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: The guys look great, they sound great, they move great.
- 8:35Sean McAllister: You'll see the signature moves.
- 8:37Sean McAllister: Sure do.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I mean it was it was great.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: The whole crowd was into it.
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: You're encouraged to wear white.
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: They do celebrate the Millennium album, so they knew now have Millennium 2.0 out, like a refreshed version of that album.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, you know, so many hits on that album.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: They do have so many hits beyond that, too.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: So you always wonder.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's hard.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: It's like you two focused on an album too when they were doing their show at the sphere.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: I don't know, maybe it's easier for the visuals to kind of tell the story or whatever you want to do, but um, you know, you get a lot of hits when you go to this show, and I think that's key.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: I would say our only takeaway, our only slight, I don't even I don't want to even call it a negative.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: They did slow it down.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: And listen, these songs are on the album, the Millennium Album, which they're celebrating for this residency, but they did slow it down in the middle with slow songs, and I thought, uh, maybe they could have taken one away or two, you know, a little less with the slow songs, because the the high energy ones were just so good.
- 9:35Sean McAllister: Well, I wonder if they build slow songs into the middle of a show to give the audience a chance to go to the bathroom or grab another beer.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: I think a lot of people do like ballads, and those were on the album, so I don't know if they built them, and I think they had to sing them because they're on the millennium album.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: Well, I think a lot of people did use that opportunity to go to the bathroom or get a get a beverage or concessions.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: I think we said on the way out it we were so into the, and I know it's hard to do like high energy, high energy, you know, song after song.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: There has to be like a an ebb and flow to the whole deal.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: Cool, you know, make a montage of all the slow songs or do one or two, but I don't know, you know, maybe just omit one or two.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: It could have been a little bit better.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: They ended with Backstreets back, all right.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: Um, which isn't on the Millennium album, but they added it.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, there were some there were some songs added into the show that weren't necessarily on the album, but how into the show was that entire uh audience inside of Sphere?
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, totally into it.
- 10:41Sean McAllister: Insane.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: Our seat mate, I want to say, someone in our row next to you, she was vibing, her and her friend.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: And it was funny because I got some video of them.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: I put it on social media in my story, and I always worry because I'm like, but I just love them.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: I said I love them.
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: The people next to us were such a vibe, you know?
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: And uh someone knew her and sent it to her.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: So we are now friends on Instagram.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: And I sent her the raw clip so she could have it.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: She was very happy.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, a lot of people in white in jean outfits, I think that was a thing.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: Groups of girls that there's a whole group of girls in like denim outfits.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: So it was fun.
- 11:18Dayna Roselli: It was packed and I loved it.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: I think it's like sold out a lot of the shows.
- 11:22Dayna Roselli: So get there if you can.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: Um, definitely worth it.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: You will not regret it.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: It's fun from beginning to end.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: The visuals are incredible.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: Um, and now just announced this week that Zach Brown's coming.
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: This was rumored for a long time, and now we know why, because he was just on a podcast, um, the New Heights podcast with the Kelsey Brothers, where he said he's been planning this for like 14 months or something like that.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: But anyway, Zach Brown, the Zach Brown band coming just for three nights, I think it is in December.
- 11:51Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think that's during National Finals rodeo.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: They have those dates uh set up.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: So the the rodeo, the cowboy crowd is coming in, and Zach Brown's gonna be at Sphere.
- 12:03Sean McAllister: And uh one other thing I wanted to mention, there was a couple sitting behind us at Backstreet Boys, and I think what uh I overheard them say is uh it could apply to any uh concert that you see inside Sphere.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: They were sitting there and the show hadn't even started yet.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: It was like the pre-show video that was uh uh playing, the pre-show visuals, and they turned to each other and they were like, This is the best experience I have ever had in my life.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: Right.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: And it it is.
- 12:38Sean McAllister: Nothing compares to seeing a live concert inside of sphere.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: Nothing.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: It's and we are we have the only sphere in the world.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: How cool is that?
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: How lucky are we to drive down the road and go there?
- 12:49Sean McAllister: And whether it's Backstreet Boys or Zach Brown or Kenny Chesney, uh, any artist, I mean, you are not going to see this show anywhere other you can't bring it on tour because you can't pick up the sphere and have it travel with you.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: No, it's so true.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: I mean, I I have seen like so many people that were at the show, like I don't know, people I follow, like say it's like a I don't know, a news anchor on a show out of New York City that I follow.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Like so many people took pictures inside the sphere at Back Backstreet Boys.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: So many people came opening win weekend.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: You know, I saw all sorts of just friends from the college, and like I'm like, oh so-and-so was here.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: We knew friends while we were there were there as well.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: We were like FaceTiming, like, hey Diane, I didn't know you were here.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: And I mean, it's it's a it was a thing.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: It they really created something.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: They did they did, absolutely did.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: And yeah, Zach Brown's gonna be great over NFR.
- 13:45Dayna Roselli: Um, let's listen to what he said though on the New Heights podcast.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: I pulled the clip because he really describes how he's creating his visuals for the sphere.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: Listen.
- 13:56SPEAKER_06: Zach, you're starting your Love and Fear residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
- 14:01SPEAKER_06: Ooh, baby! The first two weekends of December 2025, as well as you guys have a new album coming out, Love and Fear.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Dude, congratulations, this is epic.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: For the last like three years, I've been looking for something to do.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: I've been looking like to create a spectacle.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: And so, like a year and a half of trying to figure out what this spectacle is gonna be.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: My agent Rob Light was like, you need to see this place in Vegas that they're building.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: And so I went to see it while it was being constructed, and I was like, this is the home for the spectacle.
- 14:29SPEAKER_06: So dope, man.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: And so we've been working on it for 14 months already.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: It's been like making a movie as well.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: We filmed the 40-piece orchestra, we filmed the 20-piece choir, I've been a stunt man, I've been jerked around on stunt wires and jerking across the ground and throwing up the it's gonna be wild, man.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: But this is like the greatest canvas for creativity that's ever been made.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: They have to measure the video in acres.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's four acres of video.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: Our band is a hard one to understand until you see it live.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: So y'all have seen it.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: So we love throwing things in that nobody would ever expect.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: Over the years, we've done some really cool stuff with costuming and black lights and like huge, like inflatable things and things like that.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: But this is our first masterpiece.
- 15:14Sean McAllister: You know what's really stood out to me, Dana, after listening to that?
- 15:18Sean McAllister: You know, like on uh for TVs, you know, we're in video production.
- 15:22Sean McAllister: Uh we talk in terms of pixels for TV.
- 15:27Sean McAllister: And what Zach just said, they're talking in terms of acres of video for sphere.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:35Sean McAllister: Which is like just I mean, that kind of blew my mind a little bit.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: It's uh incredible.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: They must, and like he said, he's always wanted to do, I mean, just think about these artists must have so much fun being creative and being there to create these visuals.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: Oh yeah.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: I mean, he sounded like he, you know, like it it's gotta be the best experience.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: Who wouldn't want to play there?
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: And just like the backstream where it's like you're gonna sell out, most likely.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: If if you feel you could get there and do this and you could sell the tickets, then do it.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: I mean, it's like a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.
- 16:15Sean McAllister: When and where else are you gonna do it?
- 16:16Sean McAllister: You're not.
- 16:17Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, it sounds fantastic.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, FYI, we just remembered today that we never mentioned, I don't think, on the podcast that Ricky Martin's coming to the Coliseum at Caesars Palace in the fall, September uh 12th and 13th.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: But we browse at the tickets and there's like a handful left.
- 16:35Sean McAllister: Almost gone.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, almost gone.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if you can get in um on the fun and you're really a Ricky Martin fan or want to see this show, you might have to act quick.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: And even if you're not a fan, uh Ricky puts on a phenomenal performance.
- 16:51Sean McAllister: Dana, I know you and I both saw Ricky over at Park MGM when he had his residency here.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:56Sean McAllister: And that show was just phenomenal.
- 16:59Sean McAllister: I wish that that show would have extended and kept going and going.
- 17:03Sean McAllister: I know.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: Because it was that good.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: It was so good.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: So it's not a surprise to me that he's selling out.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: No, and people came from all over the world for that one too.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Um, Alanis Morset.
- 17:12unknown: Yeah.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: Do you say Alanis or Alanis?
- 17:14Sean McAllister: I say Alanis.
- 17:15Sean McAllister: Do you?
- 17:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: I wonder what it is.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: Alanis Morset.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: I wonder why I say that.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: Well, I say a lot of things wrong, so maybe it's me.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: Well, I don't know.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: That's how I've always just said it.
- 17:26Sean McAllister: Really?
- 17:26Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Alanis.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, well, anyway, she's coming.
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: She's coming to the Coliseum.
- 17:30Sean McAllister: She's gonna be at the Coliseum also uh mid-October through the beginning of November.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: Um, and it jogged my memory that she was coming here because I just saw uh I don't really open up Facebook that often, but I saw that I had a comment from uh one of my cousins and it just said, Sean, are you going to this?
- 17:51Sean McAllister: And I looked to see what the post was, and it was Alanis at the Coliseum.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: Okay, she has some great songs.
- 17:59Dayna Roselli: I might need to go to that.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: That Jagged Little Pill album.
- 18:02Sean McAllister: I memorized like the whole thing when that came out.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: It was so good.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: She's here, what, mid-October through early November a bunch of yeah?
- 18:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think it's like October 15th through November 2nd.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: Okay, good to know.
- 18:14Sean McAllister: Around there.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: Speaking of Facebook, and that you were what is up with the at everyone and at highlights?
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: Like, I'm over it.
- 18:20Sean McAllister: Oh, I don't know.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: Everyone's adding me, and I'm like, I can't with all this stuff.
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: It's making it so annoying.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: Well, and there's whoever decided that was a good idea.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: A million and a half notifications that like don't even rotate to you.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: Like, I don't know you.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: I don't not looking for a house.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: Don't at highlight me on your house for sale.
- 18:43Sean McAllister: Like, unless your dog is missing, or like there's some you need to r rally a bunch of people to like, I don't know, find a family member or something.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, or you're giving away free something.
- 18:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, like that's an at everyone kind of situation.
- 18:57Sean McAllister: Not that you just got back from uh a two-week vacation to Hawaii.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: Or whatever.
- 19:06Sean McAllister: Or that your kitchen remodel is done.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: Are you having a garage sale?
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: Good for you.
- 19:11Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, quick pause before we talk about Lady Gaga's sister that opened a costume shop here and my meeting with uh her mom.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: This is a fun story, but um, I wanted to just mention we did get a couple fan mail notes.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: You can text us, it's a link that you will find at the top of our show notes.
- 19:31Dayna Roselli: We only get where you're from, the date, and that's it.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: No name, no nothing.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: But we got um one in on July 6th from Las Vegas, and they said, Sean and Dana, you do such a fantastic job with all your entertainment news.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: So just wanted to say thank you for the positive note.
- 19:50Sean McAllister: We appreciate that.
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: And reminder, you can leave us a review on Apple Podcasts, it's so helpful.
- 19:55Dayna Roselli: We haven't had like a new review because I know like I feel like reviews are kind of out, but if you get a moment and you can quickly give us like, you know, five stars.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: And even if you make a comment, if you like the podcast, you don't have to give us five stars if you don't think it's worthy.
- 20:10Dayna Roselli: But um, if you listen regularly, maybe you would give us that.
- 20:13Dayna Roselli: Um, but just leave us, you know, even if it's a line or two, it's always helpful to kind of just stay in the mix.
- 20:19Dayna Roselli: We've been charting on Apple Podcast every week, which we didn't even know.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: We just looked that up recently.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: And I was like, oh wow, look at us.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: We're in the top 50 in the United States.
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: Um, but so we appreciate all that.
- 20:29Sean McAllister: We do, and we appreciate if you can let us know what you like about listening to the podcast or why you listen every week, if that's what you do.
- 20:40Sean McAllister: Um, just let us know.
- 20:42Sean McAllister: And also, we love getting the fan mail too.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we did get another one on June 30th that for some reason, I don't know, I overlooked, but we got one about the Rise Festival.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: We had recently talked about that on a podcast, and they sent in a note.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: We don't know if it's a he or she, but thank you from Las Vegas.
- 20:58Dayna Roselli: Um, and they said that they actually go every year because it's a whole family tradition, but that they feel like the vibe has changed.
- 21:06Dayna Roselli: I guess there's new owners.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: Um, I guess they used to give returning clients like discounts when you purchase in advance, and they don't do that anymore.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: So they said they're skipping this year, but um, they did say one tip for the lanterns is to see where the wind is going and set up camp there.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: So they wanted to pass that on if you're going to Rise Festival.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: And yeah, it may have changed hands because you and I were saying there, it's a whole lineup of performers now.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: And I'm not sure that they necessarily did that before, but John Mayer's gonna be there.
- 21:37Dayna Roselli: Um, and so it sounds like maybe they did change hands and they're just kind of doing it a little differently.
- 21:43Dayna Roselli: I don't know, could be better, could be worse, could be the same, could be a different vibe.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: So if you go this year, let us know if you feel like it was different than previous years.
- 21:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, although I'm I just have the website pulled up here right now, and it looks like it's gonna be a great experience.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: Out there in the desert.
- 22:01Sean McAllister: They have these kind of uh tent daybed things set up.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: Very tight.
- 22:07Sean McAllister: Very tulloom.
- 22:08Sean McAllister: That's the first thing that came to mind.
- 22:10Sean McAllister: Um, plus a full roster of uh music each of the three days is October 3rd, 4th, 5th.
- 22:19Sean McAllister: Um a ton of art out there as well.
- 22:22Sean McAllister: So I don't know.
- 22:23Sean McAllister: It it looks like it's uh gonna be a great setup.
- 22:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, good.
- 22:29Dayna Roselli: Well, I hope I hope it's fun.
- 22:30Dayna Roselli: I know sometimes weather can be tricky, so hopefully they have a great weekend for that.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: I know that on their Instagram they were saying like the silver passes were like 90% gone already.
- 22:40Dayna Roselli: So if you want to get tickets, you might want to do that soon.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: I know it's a very popular event, and it does sound like this year is gonna be very good, maybe different though than in years past, but we'll see how it goes.
- 22:52Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: Hey, I did go to Onstage Essentials.
- 22:55Dayna Roselli: This is a new costume shop um in here in Las Vegas, and it was a really fun launch event that they had.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: You know, the more costume shops, the better in Vegas, because we got all these shows and different events.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: You know, people forget we have events that need costumes, not just the shows.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: I mean, Vegas events, whether they are restaurant openings, uh celebrating a new magazine cover, you name it, Revelry Food Fest.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, people are dressed in costumes.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: There's themes all the time.
- 23:25Sean McAllister: You drive down the street, and chances are you're gonna drive by somebody in a costume because they're going to work at an event.
- 23:31Sean McAllister: Right.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: Or they're coming home from an event.
- 23:33Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: Um, so this is kind of exciting.
- 23:37Dayna Roselli: It's a costume making, uh, and they also have sewing supplies.
- 23:41Dayna Roselli: It looks really uh very needed here in Las Vegas.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna do really well.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: And Lady Gaga's sister, Natalie, is a fashion designer, and her and her husband are co-owners of this shop.
- 23:52Dayna Roselli: So it was fun to go to this launch party.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: It was pretty intimate.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: I brought my friend Debbie Gibson along.
- 23:59Dayna Roselli: Debbie loves a good costume.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: I actually think she might be getting one from there for her music video she's shooting upcoming this weekend here in town.
- 24:07Dayna Roselli: Um, but I got to meet um Natalie and it was Lady Gaga.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: Stephanie is a real name, Lady Gaga's real name.
- 24:14Dayna Roselli: Uh their mom, um, Cynthia.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: And I just want to say she was lovely.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: Um, we talked all about Vegas Revealed.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: She wanted to know more where she could follow along.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: And um, well, we talked about being Italian and all sorts of stuff.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: So yeah, she was just so down to earth.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, their dad was there too, Joe, and he was great.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was a fun little family affair, and so that was something different that um I experienced here in Las Vegas, and I thought that that was wonderful.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: I might actually be tonight going to see Lady Gaga.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: I have a friend in town who's like, let's go, please.
- 24:48Dayna Roselli: I've never seen her.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: I'm like, oh my gosh, I've seen her so many times.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: But I'm like, okay, I'll go.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: Um, she's at T-Mobile for three nights.
- 24:55Dayna Roselli: Um, so T-Mobile Arena.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: So hopefully we'll get tickets and go over there.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: We're gonna get them really last minute and see if we can get in.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: So we'll see.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: But anyway, on stage essentials is on the east side of Las Vegas, so keep that in mind.
- 25:08Sean McAllister: And if the Germanata family is listening to Vegas Revealed this week, a big hello.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: We appreciate it.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: Hey, Green Valley Ranch is getting an upgrade, so is the M Resort and the Rio.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: So let's start with Green Valley.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: They just announced the next phase of this property-wide transformation, and it's gonna include the renovation of guest rooms and suites.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: And Green Valley Ranch is also on the east side, I'd say the southeastern side in Green Valley of Las Vegas area.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: It's a very popular hotel casino, and glad they're gonna be doing some upgrades.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: This was my spot.
- 25:46Sean McAllister: I used to live within walking distance of Green Valley Ranch, and so I have a very soft spot in my heart for this hotel casino, and I'm just looking at some of their rooms right now uh with the with the upgrades, and they're beautiful, really nice and light, and airy, and elegant.
- 26:09Sean McAllister: Um, and it's nice to have that kind of uh uh amenities and lodging uh offering off the strip.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and their pool area is great, they have a lot to do there.
- 26:21Sean McAllister: The pool area is beautiful, they have an amphitheater uh out there as well where they do shows uh for most of the year.
- 26:29Sean McAllister: Great restaurants, all of a shopping district right attached.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: So it is, it's nice over there.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: So apparently all 493 rooms and suites are gonna get a top-to-bottom redesign.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: So that'll be quite good for uh to get updated.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: Remember when Bill Clinton stayed there and it was a big deal?
- 26:46Sean McAllister: Oh, yes, I do remember that.
- 26:48Sean McAllister: I think there was a rumor that he was going to be uh that the Clinton family was going to um buy one of the town homes above the the district of the Green Valley Ranch.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: That was like when it was first opening.
- 27:06Sean McAllister: And they were like, ooh, I think the Clintons bought one of those.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: Funny, it never happened, right?
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: I don't think so.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: I never saw Chelsea strolling around there.
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: So the M Resort is also getting an upgrade.
- 27:17Dayna Roselli: Uh, they are transforming the casino floor, um, and apparently they just unveiled it.
- 27:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, I saw the um I saw them post something a week or so ago about like new carpet rolling in, the new table games rolling in with new looks.
- 27:32Sean McAllister: And uh by the way, they also are building a new hotel tower, which I drove by the other day, and the tower is like up.
- 27:41Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 27:42Sean McAllister: We were there not too long ago uh oh in the spring, and like work was not it didn't seem like it was that far along, but man, I guess you can put up a hotel tower pretty quick.
- 27:54Dayna Roselli: I guess so.
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, we were saying that well in an interview we did about the A Stadium, which is gonna be coming up, like um how quick things go up, and you blink and boom, like Asian stadiums there.
- 28:06Dayna Roselli: Uh, but yeah, towers go up quick, all of it.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: I wonder how fast that guitar tower is gonna go up on the strip.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: I drove by the other day with you.
- 28:13Dayna Roselli: Remember, we were like, wow.
- 28:15Sean McAllister: It's like getting a you can see it's rising above the construction wall in front of the old mirage.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: Right.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: So they're they're building up.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: Building up.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: Well, this is the um the casino renovation over at the M is the first completed element of this multi-million dollar expansion.
- 28:35Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: Also, uh, we mentioned in our television show, but not here, that the Rio casino floor has also been refreshed as well.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: That is now unveiled and open.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: They have a lot of new, I think it was like table games, a baccarat room, things like that.
- 28:51Dayna Roselli: So go check that out.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: They continue to make upgrades over at the Rio.
- 28:55Sean McAllister: And Dana, you just mentioned we were over at the uh A's groundbreaking talking about how quickly things are built.
- 29:02Sean McAllister: And uh some of the people who are responsible for that quick construction is the McCarthy group.
- 29:09Sean McAllister: They are a big construction company here in southern Nevada.
- 29:13Sean McAllister: They're the ones who built Allegiance Stadium in what seems like the blink of an eye, and they're also responsible for probably what's gonna seem like the blink of an eye to bring the A's stadium to life over on that old Tropicana site.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and they're apparently working on that guitar tower we just talked about.
- 29:31Sean McAllister: They are, that's right.
- 29:33Dayna Roselli: But yeah, McCarthy Building Companies is the name of the company.
- 29:37Dayna Roselli: Um, and we talked to Ross Edwards, he's the senior VP, and he's in charge of the Nevada area.
- 29:43Dayna Roselli: We pulled him aside.
- 29:44Dayna Roselli: I know we we talked to John Fisher and we talked a little bit about the stadium, and John Fisher's the owner of the Ace, but Ross really gives us well, you can tell he's really excited about being able to build another state-of-the-art sporting facility here in Las Vegas.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: We've got the team that actually built Allegiant Stadium.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: We put back together, and we're super excited about taking on this challenge.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: This project's gonna it's gonna pose a lot of new, interesting challenges for us, and that's kind of where we thrive in these big complex projects right here on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 30:14Dayna Roselli: So a lot of people always say, you know, it's Raiders Stadium that really attracts so many people from around the world.
- 30:20Dayna Roselli: I mean, the the stadium is like its own team and headliner.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: It's a high bar, and I think that we're always here to overcome that bar.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a really impressive time.
- 30:31Dayna Roselli: I'm just gonna say, I mean, look state of the art.
- 30:33Dayna Roselli: Some of the features you're excited to have some of them first time for you.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there are some first time the big cable network on the 40,000 uh square foot glass wall that's uh facing north on the stadium.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: It's really going to be impressive.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: And a lot of natural light to come in.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: And uh it's gonna be uh it's gonna be perfect for the players, perfect for the uh spectators.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: Technology is gonna be incredible.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: You've seen the uh gigantic um screen, the LED screen.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be uh one of a kind, and uh we're really excited about that too.
- 31:03Sean McAllister: And as that uh construction continues and we see the updates coming out of that A's Stadium site, we'll bring you those updates here on the podcast too.
- 31:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and he said they're on track.
- 31:15Dayna Roselli: They plan for 2028 the season.
- 31:17Dayna Roselli: He said it looks good, and we're rolling out a timeline and should be good to go.
- 31:22Sean McAllister: Good play ball.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: We'll see.
- 31:24Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, we're going to the Friends Experience, a preview of it anyway, over at MGM on Monday.
- 31:30Dayna Roselli: So we look forward to telling you more about that.
- 31:32Dayna Roselli: But um opens July 23rd if you're interested in going over there or getting your tickets now.
- 31:37Dayna Roselli: They have a lot of little Vegas moments.
- 31:39Dayna Roselli: We're excited to get in there and see it.
- 31:41Sean McAllister: I because we've both both been to uh the Friends, I guess it's the original Friends experience, which is part of the studio tour over at Warner Brothers out in uh uh Los Angeles, and that's so much fun.
- 31:54Sean McAllister: It is you drive by the soundstage where they film the show, and then you get to the activation part where they have Central Park, and yeah, they have you know the foosball table and some of the costumes.
- 32:07Sean McAllister: So that is that's gonna be neat.
- 32:09Sean McAllister: I have a feeling that it's going to be a wildly popular attraction.
- 32:14Sean McAllister: Um, and we're excited to get over there for the the preview, and we'll let you know all about that uh once we do it.
- 32:21Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some tips.
- 32:27Sean McAllister: On our Vegas Revealed TV show, we partnered with Fountain Blue Las Vegas uh for a new series called Blue Access that's sponsored by the resort.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's interesting because the first topic, the first story that we worked on with them has to do with rewards.
- 32:45Dayna Roselli: And we know so many of you are interested in rewards programs.
- 32:49Dayna Roselli: So we thought, oh, this is gonna be great to kick off Blue Access.
- 32:53Dayna Roselli: And we wanted to share with you that they recently like updated, refreshed the rewards program, and it's really good for not only gamers, okay?
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's there's some great rewards for gamers, but also non-gamers.
- 33:13SPEAKER_03: Everything has its rewards from dining, from shopping, from lounging at the spa or at the pool.
- 33:24SPEAKER_02: You kinda have to ask yourself why will you money here if you're getting the same if you're making money the same little force?
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: You're getting the same video, and now you're getting the morning.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: It is nice to be able to belly for free.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: As you move up the tiers in our program, there's free self and free valet parking.
- 34:39SPEAKER_03: We want to make sure that everyone here has to be free.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: We believe our service is better, our amenities are better, and and now with our loyalty program being tops in the city, we really have everything a guest would want to make it the best program in town and the best property in town.
- 34:55Sean McAllister: As you can hear, uh all the folks over there at Fountain Blue are super excited about Fountain Blue Rewards.
- 35:02Sean McAllister: And one of the other perks that you didn't hear uh in those interviews is that you can get up to 40% off your hotel booking when you are a Fountain Blue Rewards member.
- 35:14Sean McAllister: So that's a pretty darn good perk.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: I downloaded the app and I looked in there and I said, like, oh wow, I have a decent amount of points because I started realizing that I can hand my rewards card in at the end of a dinner, end of a breakfast.
- 35:28Dayna Roselli: So I started doing that.
- 35:29Dayna Roselli: I don't gamble a lot.
- 35:31Dayna Roselli: So, and I have like a decent amount of points in there, and so I was excited to see that.
- 35:36Sean McAllister: It adds up quick.
- 35:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 35:38Dayna Roselli: So I remember I bought a big lunch and it was a big group of people, and they all, you know, sent me like Venmo to pay.
- 35:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, right, right, right.
- 35:47Dayna Roselli: But I used my rewards card.
- 35:48Dayna Roselli: Good, as you should.
- 35:50Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 35:50Sean McAllister: There's there's the tip.
- 35:52Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 35:52Sean McAllister: So if you're going out to lunch with a whole bunch of people, take them to Fountain Blue, put it on your tab, put it on your rewards card, because then you get the points for it, and you'll open up the Fountain Blue Las Vegas app and just be surprised by what's accumulated in there.
- 36:08Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 36:09Dayna Roselli: And if you want to see this story, we will have it on our YouTube page.
- 36:13Dayna Roselli: You'll see me get my free coffee.
- 36:15Dayna Roselli: Um, but while we were there, here's another tip.
- 36:17Dayna Roselli: Uh, what was it?
- 36:18Dayna Roselli: Shea bon.
- 36:19Dayna Roselli: I got the drip coffee.
- 36:21Dayna Roselli: Um we got one of the croissants, or the bow tie croissants.
- 36:26Dayna Roselli: And the staff member from Fountain Blue that we were with, she said to me, Don't be careful when you bite into it because there's jelly in the middle.
- 36:35Sean McAllister: And there's a lot of jelly.
- 36:37Dayna Roselli: A lot of jelly.
- 36:38Dayna Roselli: So I ate a little corner and I thought, okay, we'll save this for the car, you know, because we were getting ready to leave.
- 36:43Dayna Roselli: And what did I do, Sean?
- 36:45Sean McAllister: Well, you took a bite out of the croissant and a big blob of jelly just fell right onto your dress.
- 36:51Dayna Roselli: Then what happened?
- 36:52Dayna Roselli: So then, hot tip after that, I said, okay, I'm gonna attempt to get this out without dry cleaning it.
- 36:59Dayna Roselli: I went upstairs and I told you I was gonna use dish soap, and it came right out.
- 37:04Dayna Roselli: So there's another tip for you.
- 37:06Sean McAllister: I was ex I was so excited for you that it actually worked.
- 37:09Sean McAllister: But I figure, hey, if Dawn works on oil-covered ducks, it'll work on a jelly spot on a dress, right?
- 37:18Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 37:18Dayna Roselli: But here's the deal that croissant is so good.
- 37:21Dayna Roselli: You can't help but like keep chomping.
