- 0:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Godfrey's supposed to introduce me now.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, my bad.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Of course we got we got we got AG in the building.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: It's okay.
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: It's okay.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Uh we're just shaking off the rust.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Uh Gas Money Podcast fans, please, you know, uh bear with us.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: We're back.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: It's been a while, but these are some uh pressing times with pressing issues, so we're gonna, you know, try to tackle these things one at a time.
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: So how you good fellas doing?
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: How you good brothers doing?
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Uh I've been chilling, man.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Scratching and surviving.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: How about you, Godfrey?
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: I've been alright.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: You know, um, obviously everything is not as convenient as we'd like it to be, but you know, I've been blessed to be able to still gain a decent wage in these times of my family's good.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: That's that's great.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: Um, so have you guys said it is good?
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Have you guys looted any cool stuff?
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Uh not at all, man.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: I've been busy when uh when when that was going down.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: I was actually on the other side of the looters.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: He's actually a security guy, so he gotta make sure that uh not looting.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I hope no looting zone over here.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: I hope you got out the way.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: That's what you say.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: You gotta say like I'm one of those guys who I'm looking for somebody to try me over some like looting stuff.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: It's like listen, if y'all want to get crazy over here, we can get crazy over here too.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Listen, like nah, I'm not doing that.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: At least not where I'm at.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Go loot over there.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: You got a gun on on uh on on site, like when uh when you work, you work with a gun.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Nah, I work with these with these hand meters.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Ah, I'm sorry, but people like that no more, man.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: That's a fact.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: But you know, like at the end of the day, nothing happened.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: So I got God with me.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Like, nothing happened.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: That's definitely most important.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: So besides um uh making sure things don't get looted, um have you guys been like dealing with any like virus concerns, any virus scares, anything like that?
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Only only in the beginning.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Like uh, you probably remember, but uh like the first week, I thought I had like symptoms, but uh that shit was nothing.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: It was a little three-day uh common cold.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: It was nothing.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Dang.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: How about you, Jupiter?
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: From my perspective, I feel like everyone had one because at the end of the day, it started in what, like March, February-ish?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is flu season.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: So if you get sick, oh no, I think I got the COVID, like, dude, you you would have got sick regardless, you would have got a cold, something like that.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Me personally, like, I and it's funny because at that time I was getting heavy into like a plant-based diet, so I wasn't having any like coughs or anything like that, none of the seasonal, but a lot of people were scared, but I was like, you know, you gotta remember that that time of year is when people normally get sick, so it's part for the course almost.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Like you can't take it for that's just me though.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I definitely uh agree with you on that.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: I usually get sick one time a year, and it always coincides with me getting on the airplane.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I had that before.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, funny enough, Toon and the gang are planning a trip to the new epicenter of this virus.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: Texas.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: Florida.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: I thought it was Texas.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: It's like a three-headed monster right now.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I believe it's California, Texas, and like I think Miami's like the the ringleader of like the the new you know what it is?
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: It's all the red states.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Yep, the non-believers.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Yo, yo, how did New York New York was number one at one point.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Now we're the la we have the lowest cases out of nowhere after all these protests.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: How great?
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: That's what it is.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: We're wearing masks.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: We're wearing masks.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I be I'll take your word for it.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: What you think it is?
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: I think I think to be quite honest, out there to fight against the whole Donald Trump campaign.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Because all of a sudden, all the rally sites and all the all the red states that he normally get his constituency from his support from, they have they're like spiking in COVID.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, blue states, especially like New York, that's a given liberal or democrat state, are all time lows.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, like if COVID was a person, he's chilling in New York.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Now he's in Texas, in Florida, this don't make no sense.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Unless you see what's going on at least.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: That's that's my my perspective, once again.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I definitely uh I agree with you on that.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: But to me, it seems like this virus can't pick and choose how it gets transferred and who it really affects.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Oh so let's get to the big question then like is this a real virus?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Is it a fake virus?
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Like, tell me what you think.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I want to what you think, AG matter of fact, because our language is very pretty divisive right now.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: I won't I think that it's definitely a real virus because you know people have died.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: I don't want to um ever you know minimize the impact of you know death.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: I haven't had nobody personally like really, really close to me die from it, but that people have definitely died.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: The only part to me that's a little funny is if I were engineering a virus to destroy an economy, because you know, warfare in the 21st century doesn't seem to be oh, bang them up, shoot them up, blow them up, kind of thing.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: It seems to be an economics thing.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: So if I was gonna engineer a virus that forced everybody to stay inside, that means no more work, that means no more infrastructure, I would target the working class, which seems to be what this virus is targeting, because babies are not getting affected by this too much.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: High schoolers are not getting affected by this too much, but the people that gotta get up every day and work are definitely the ones that seem to be affected by this the most.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: And it came out of Wuhan, China, which is our biggest, you know, economic rival.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: So I just think that's a little, you know, on the nose.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: Like it's kind of like they're showing us what is going on without showing us what's going on.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: That's how I feel about it.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: So nah, no, I was waiting for Tadago, but I'll tell you what I think.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: I definitely think it's real.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Nah, I missed that.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: You're gonna have to repeat that.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Everything good?
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Nah, nobody said anything.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, because we was listening to you, but uh kind of like went in uh in and out.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: It uh broke up a little bit.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I was asking for you for your opinion.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, no, I definitely think it's a uh real thing.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Uh I was uh at first I thought I was like uh really like scared by what was going on.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Not like like fearful, but like I didn't know what was going on.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: So like obviously that caused a little bit like confusion.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: But uh just as far as for like what has happened and what has come from it, uh I definitely do think it was real.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: I don't know if it was manufactured or not.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: Uh I've kind of been like uh out of sight, out of mind with this kind of thing, being a little new.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: But uh I definitely think it was think it is real.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: And um I think it's gonna, at least until we they find something or we could do something about it, it's gonna be a new way of life of how like we're living now.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: We have to be way more careful and conscious of you know how we're moving and how vulnerable we are to like these new things going on in life.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: That's pretty much my take on that.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Somebody suck their teeth though.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: I had to I couldn't, I couldn't hide, I couldn't hold it in.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: Because I'm just not with this whole change in the way you live.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Like, bro, 8,000 people die a day.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: A day, 8,000 people die period regularly.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: That's a fact.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: The flu cooks like 60,000 people a year.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Like our numbers haven't even hit that yet, and it's like, oh, this is the most dude.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Like, people die from random things all the time, and we don't hide inside our houses over them.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: The way they're painting this disease is the problem.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: I don't I believe it's fully real, and it can take like talking about at the hype they're talking about, I totally disagree with it.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, that does not make any sense.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Something that you can find on all kinds of cans is killing people this easy.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: But then again, just something's not adding up.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: I say it would change the way of life, at least on my standpoint, is that uh my mother has an underlying uh health issue.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: So like I know just from my like my set, I know like I gotta be on top of certain things, or I would want her to be, I'd rather her say, um, I'd rather her be prepared and she be wrong than the world like you be right, and then she wasn't prepared, and then like, you know, she went outside with no mask on and shit like that.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: You feel me?
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: I know that community safe.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: Me, like me, I'm I'd rather walk the thin line.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: I believe that I, you know, I could go to a park without a mask on and play ball and stuff like that.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: But her, on the other hand, I'd rather her do the simple put a mask on, wash your hands.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, every time you touch anything, like a higher what they call it, a high cautious surface, like doorknobs and stuff.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: I need her to know that stuff.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: But the all the other hype, I'm not really falling for it.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: Um I guess we all pretty much have the same idea.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: And um we don't we don't really disagree too much.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: Uh Godfrey, you sound like you don't think this is real at all.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: I remember the beginning.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: I remember in the beginning, you two wasn't jacking this shit off.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Me?
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I remember it's not even not because you know, people are dying, but I don't think they're dying from COVID, bro.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I oh, I agree.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: A lot of people uh health professionals, doctors, nurses, um, uh medical practitioners who've come out and said, like, people are doing like wrong medical practices on people and actually killing them when they go to the hospital.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Like the fact that they don't let family members in to see their family members when they're in the hospital keeps those people alienated and they don't have the advocate to be like, yo, yo, yo, yo, they don't do that to her.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Like she doesn't need that.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: So they'll do is they'll put someone on a ventilator who doesn't need to be on the ventilator, and the ventilator will kill them.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: You know, say COVID did it.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: That's those are the problems that are like making this into a sickening situation.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: What you're saying uh uh in um the case of your mother is is right, you should be smart about that and obviously do things the right way.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: But when they're inflating the numbers the way they are and just lying about what's really going on, that's what makes this mass fair and makes people become almost animalistic, like yo, if you're not taking this seriously, you're the problem, you know, and that's the problem that we're having.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Like, people don't even want to talk about it.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Like, let's be honest, this this can't be as real as it is if the the MTA is still open.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: The MTA is filthy.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: There's gotta be, there's gotta be in there.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: I've seen people just mask on, mask off, touching their face, touching surfaces.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yo, there's no way.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: This is as deadly as they say.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: There's just no way to stop.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I never too many times they said, yo, this is this one thing, and they say, actually, no, you can't catch it from this.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: So yo, this smoke is fire, man.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: And for me personally, the day I found out that 9-11 was not what I thought it was, after that, I questioned everything that's when I found in syphilaki experiments wrong for being for being super inquisitive, then for them to let them just inject me with something and then you know.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: No, for my yeah, I definitely agree.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: So then how do you guys feel about um this vaccine?
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Not fucking with it.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Nah, fucking with it.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: All I gotta say, I know all black people feel the same way.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Nah, I'm not doing it.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: I just want to say to every black person who's listening, keep that same energy when they start talking about yo, you want to work or not.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's gonna come to a time where we're gonna have to go back to the tribal ways, like, yo, let's barter, come together, let's make it happen.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Because they don't want us to work without this vaccine or go to school without this vaccine.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: So that's all I gotta say.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Because I know most people in general are not with it.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: I'm talking to white people, Asian people, span to black people.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Everyone's like, nah, I don't want this vaccine, it's coming too quick.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: But we'll see.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: Um I mean, if they hit us with the yo, um you you need open heart surgery, but you gotta get a vaccine to get open heart surgery.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: What are we gonna do about that?
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: Because I don't know about you, Godfrey.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: I can't do open heart surgery on anybody.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: So what you mean?
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: Like, they're gonna make it a requirement to just be in society.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: So not part of the trade, all we want.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: They're gonna give you the vaccine.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: You're like, I need open heart surgery.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: All right, cool.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: I'm like, all right, so you need the vaccine.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: You're gonna take the vaccine, and you'll be like, yo, let's give them our open heart surgery.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Like, you won't need that anymore.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: You'll be fine.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: What you need, what you need is to start preparing for your funeral, my guy, because it's over funeral.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: That'll be insane.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Don't worry about your open heart surgery, you're good.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: Nah, bro.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Do they do you know that vaccine skill?
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Like numbers.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, sorry, I don't mean to cut you up.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Let me just say this.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: I think it was a country of India where Bill Gates is banned, and also I think it was some Asian country where they said they had no cases of autism until they let Bill Gates come in with those uh I'll be reading them same things.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: I don't like the vaccines neither, man.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: That's not really this is my argument though.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: We're all sitting here, we've all been vaccinated, bro.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: No, that's not those are old vaccines though, these new ones.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Mind you, my bad.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Let me cut you up one more time.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: My bad.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Because I think it was 19 1980 something, they passed this act.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: That basically makes injuries or you know, like if you get autism or any kind of kind of adverse effects, they're no longer liable for it.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: That happens to you.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: So you can't sue them if like they inject you with something and like your eye doesn't work no more, or your whole left side is slow, or you end up like like with autism.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Like, if that happens, they can put anything in a vaccine, and if it messes you up, it's like, oh snap, I'm sorry.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Well, you gotta live like that, or you're dead now.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Like, that's a problem.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Like, if I can't call you off for messing me up, then you can do what you want to me.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's definitely sounds pretty shady.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: But then um, you know, I gotta play white devil's advocate.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 15:53SPEAKER_02: Bill Gates.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Bill Gates is saying that y'all listen to the computer boy?
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Cure America.
- 16:00SPEAKER_02: He's gonna cure the world.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: I mean boy.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: He he has an invested interest in everybody being cured because, like I'm saying, the economy, like nobody can buy Microsoft products, nobody can buy any products if nobody's working, and products can't be made.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: So I just wanted to give I don't fuck with Bill Gates personally.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: I've Sony all the way, you know, PlayStation.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: That's my shit.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: But um That's why he's mad right now, because Sony sent that dub like this off the he was like, you know what?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: No one's playing, no one's doing nothing.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: But do you think it's ethical to be able to patent um oh hell no?
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: Hell no a vaccine.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: That's a conflict of interest.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Like, come on, I make money off of the cure.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: That's yo.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: Uh that's that's pretty wild, man.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: When you really think about that, we have turned everything into a business.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: Yep, there's literally nothing that you don't have to pay for anymore.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: Like you literally have to pay for everything.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: Everything.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's oh, let me ask you a question, matter of fact.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: AG Food.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: Because you it's all it's along the lines of this topic, because like, you know, um they make you pay for a lot of hospital bills in certain cases, and I think you know what I'm about to ask you, so I'm gonna let you elaborate if you want to, or we can change the subject.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: No, is the is the cost heavy when you're having a child?
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: Like, do they make you pay honestly, bro?
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: They billed me, and that shit was in the like the mortgage level.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, yo, you gotta pay for childbirth, bro.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: That's it, it was a natural act you used to be able to do.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Yo, we didn't used to squat in the fields and the baby would come out.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: It was that expensive with help health insurance.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they don't give a fuck one health insurance, nigga.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: That's yeah, that shit is uh expensive process, but I'm gonna tell you what, um, I know the feds is listening either way, they're not getting no money out of me.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're not getting the red scent of childbirth.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: Like that doesn't even make any sense.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: That's a basic human right.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't I don't know what it's for.
- 18:16SPEAKER_02: You see, to me, that's a little weird because it's not like anybody's chasing me down for that money.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: Like, it's like they just sent it like, hey, if you want to pay this, yeah, you can't.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's literally that shit is that's that's but that's weird though.
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: Like, that's a very good question.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: Like, what is the what is why is there a formal bill?
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: Are they gonna come like one day in like 20 years and be like, yo, remember that time?
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: Like you checking out a loan, Mr.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: Guns?
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Remember that time you had a kid?
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: Like, you gotta pay this before you can move on.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not they might repo your kid, like yo, yeah, like some shit like that.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: Like, oh my kid is the fucking next LeBron James.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: I'm going up to be like, oh, this is my son.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: The hospital steps in, like, whoa, whoa, this is our kid.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: What are you talking about?
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Like, you see what I'm saying?
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: Like, I I really don't.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: That's a very good question.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: I never really thought about it like that, but I don't know what it was for because I'm telling you, I did not pay a dollar, and he I go to his hospital visits, and everything is fine.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: They don't they don't the regular insurance takes care of that.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: So I really don't know what that is for, and it's really it's really wild that childbirth is like pretty expensive.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: It's down payment on a house.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: Like it's like tens of thousands of dollars just to deliver a child.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: The sixth part is like it's clearly it isn't, it can't cost that much because you know, quote unquote third world countries, they have babies all the time.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: Oh, they have more babies than anybody.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: They're not paying thousands of dollars, so why are we over here paying tens of thousands of dollars to have our children brought into this world?
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Why are you making so much money off of that?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: This is why I question things.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: It's like that doesn't make sense.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this whole thing is a Ponzi scheme, man.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: That's what they're saying about some of these hospitals that they get incentives for coronavirus cases.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it is if you die from a car crash, but you had the COVID, they're gonna be like, nah, he died from the COVID, man.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: This guy got hit by a car, COVID killed him.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: That's the crazy thing.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Every case that the hospital claimed was a COVID case, they got$13,000 per case.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: It's too much money.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: But let me ask you a question.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: Who's giving them this$13,000?
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: That's the same thing that I was getting.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Is it the insurance company?
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Ah, the same people have something to gain from COVID making doing what it's doing.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: So it could be anybody.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: That's the problem.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: We gotta follow the money.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: But it's hard sometimes because they say, oh, it's the government, but which government?
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Who is this entity?
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Who's this agency?
- 20:34SPEAKER_02: So weird.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: I I don't understand.
- 20:39SPEAKER_02: But um, my final note on the um the COVID thing is um, do you guys think that it's gonna change society at large?
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Nah.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: How long do masks you know stay for?
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: How long is it like gonna be a requirement to wear a mask to go to certain stores?
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: How long it because like even when I embrace somebody, like when I see somebody in the street, I automatically go for a pound.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: I don't do the open hand five anymore.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: Like, when do these things go back to normal?
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: You had time.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Um I mean, a lot of people, you know, a lot of people aren't as conscious as we are.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: So I guess as soon as like, you know, vaccines and people be like, uh, we haven't had like deaths or had nobody's been sick, no spikes, I guess that's when people go back to normal.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: Because you know, everybody has like uh, well, a lot of people have short attention spans.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: So as long as like this is like on TV or we see posts on Instagram and Facebook, people are gonna be conscious of what they're doing.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: But as soon as like a year passes, or maybe even the next six months, people like start going back to work and people stop getting sick at a high rate.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I think people are gonna go right back to the the normal.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: Because you can see the parks now.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: It's like or traffic.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: Everything is like slowly getting back to people moving the way they want to move before this this happened.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: I think the Mask the masking pound is like the last of the last.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: Godfrey.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: I think I think that's it as long.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: It's not going to go back to normal until done doing what they want to do.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Number one.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: I think this was actually a trial.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Like to see how many people are basically, for lack of a better term, like about that life.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm really not doing what y'all say.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: They want to set test and see.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: So they're they're looking and they're like, yo, a lot of people are with it, and it's still that big group that's like, no, like, I don't care what y'all say, y'all lying.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Number two, if you notice with the whole Black Lives Matter movement, um, or not with the movement, but what happened last month, like we forgot about COVID for that two, three-week window.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Like, it was out the window.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: It was all about what was going on.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: And I think that speaks to the fact that they can manipulate just the perspective of the public by what they push with the media, which once again, to me, makes me just distrust the media or you know, everything I hear.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: But for me, I think that's gonna go back to normal when they have, like Toss said, the vaccine, when they have a way to control how people receive information and our money.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Because hold on that.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: It's like we can make you do what we want you to do.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: So they're using this as a way to get people to do what they want them to do, willingly.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: So uh I'm we'll see when all right, that was uh a really clear, concise uh answer to my question.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Um, but I'm glad you uh brought up uh Black Lives Matter.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: It's a very good uh segue into our next topic.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Um we're gonna just you know talk about you know, we're all black men here.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: So we can talk about so-called black men.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Uh we can get into you know what's been going on socially uh in America, I guess, forever, honestly.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: It's been going on forever, but the the invention of the camera phone might um actually save you know more black lives than anything if you really look at it.
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: Um, so starting with the death of the jogger, um, please uh refresh me on his name.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: I apologize uh for not knowing his name.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: Ahmad Aubrey.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so it started with him and he was you know gunned down by these were civilians.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Uh, I think was uh maybe one of them was ex-cop or something like that, the dad, maybe?
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, former cop, and I think they were like, you know, they were involved with either like military or they had connections with the DA.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so pretty close to law enforcement, but not really law enforcement, kind of like what we saw with the Trayvon case.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: And um, he was killed in cold blood for jogging while black.
- 24:42SPEAKER_02: We've seen driving while black, we've seen running while black, but we've never seen jogging while black.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: That was crazy.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: Like he he he wasn't committing any crime.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: You've seen eating ice cream in your house while black.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like it's it's scaring ridiculous, and I don't know how as a person not of color you can turn your your your like a blind eye to this because it's like it's it's almost like laughable now that you can't exist and be black at the same time.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: It just makes people uncomfortable.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: Um very deep one of these abuses, or particularly at black the black race and not being able to have like empathy or sympathy is a it's a very deep topic because like we've been dehumanized in the public eye for a long time.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Like we're talking about hundreds of years of you know, they might not say it, but they're like, yo, just so you know they're not full humans.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Like just so you know, like they're mostly after a while that even though you're looking at me saying like, oh, you're black lives matter, like in the back of your head because he's not for Mars.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: So it's really psychological, a big part of that, but you know.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I definitely um agree with uh your sentiments.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: I just think that uh then when we go to the the next case, which is the bigger case, which is this George uh Floyd one, um it's the I think it's the the visual of the whole thing that made it so you know popular.
- 26:27SPEAKER_02: Um and that that was ridiculous too.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: It was like eight minutes, eight and a half minutes, uh this white guy, well not even guy, he's a cop.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: Let me not even simplify his uh his role in society.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: His job is to serve and protect the community, and he did the exact opposite.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: Like a black man's life was worth$20.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't understand what else we can do as a community um besides you know hold like even holding them accountable for their actions, it doesn't really end there.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: Because, like you're saying, we're not looked at as humans because of, like you're saying, the hundreds of years of dehumanization.
- 27:15SPEAKER_02: But like, where would you start in reversing this whole thing?
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: Or is there no reversing?
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: Do we just have to cut contact and you know be our own civilization at this point?
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, Godfrey, you could definitely uh take that one, buddy.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, all right.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: I was gonna let you go first first.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: I'm 100% for us like being our home.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: Um it starts healing always starts with yourself first.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: So you can't expect anyone to heal you for you, and you can't expect anyone to fix your problems for you.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: I think black men first and black people as a community need to, we need honesty, it's almost like a relationship.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: When it gets super toxic, I need to step away and be by myself and heal me first before I even decide if I even want to see you again.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: So we need our own, we need to step away and we need to start looking at each other like instead of thinking, you know, this whole like king thing that we say now?
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: I love it because you start to say it to each other, communicate that, yo, yo, you're not just a nigga, you are a king.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: You are a you are a black nobility, you are black excellence, you are there is so much in you.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: And historically speaking, like we are the nation builders, we are the great architects of this planet, we are the astrologers, the wise men, the philosophers, the musicians, all those things are in us, and we have to begin to see that.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: And that's why if you follow me on Instagram, I started posting those images of ancient cultures where it's us in the league, the stuff they won't show you.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Because when you start to see it and start to believe it, you start to change how you view yourself and your brothers.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: And after that, you know, it doesn't matter.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: And we all know that when you get to a place we don't care what other people think about you is when you're truly free.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of black people care too much about what white people think, about what other races think.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: We should only be working on each other for now.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: And it might sound like, oh, you're trying to go for segregation or separatism.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Listen, we might need that.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: We might need that for a while because every other race has been able to be by themselves and build up and then come to America and yo, if things go bad in America, I can go back to China.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: But us, we're really scattered.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: And if we came together like we did before in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and many other cities, we would be able to heal, build our own foundation, and then when we decide to come back to the table of America, we can make demands because now we have a nation versus just a bunch of people rallied behind a Black Lives Matter movement and slogan, which is actually created by lesbians who don't really have a interest in the black men.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna be keeping the book.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: They don't have a lot of people.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: That's why I can't really get behind it all the way because it's like, yo, you don't really care about us because the black man is the head of the black, the black family, like every other race.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: The male is the head of that family, and we have to prioritize that again because the whole body gets back in shape when the head is right, when the mind is right.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying?
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: So I'm all for us stepping away, I'm all for us coming together, having these conversations, and then doing things, more so doing things and just talking about it is the biggest part of it.
- 29:59SPEAKER_02: For me at least.
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: That was very uh eloquently said.
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: How you feel about stepping away from Whitey for 50 years?
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: I definitely uh agree a hundred percent with uh Godfrey.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: Um funny enough, I was watching uh uh uh docuseries, I think it's called, with uh Killer Mike.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: Um I think it's uh warning trigger trigger warning.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I've seen it.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's uh actually pretty dope.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: I think the first episode was uh he had to live black for like uh three days, I think it was.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it was damn near impossible.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was damn near impossible.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: Like uh the black dollar only stays in our community for six hours.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: And compared to like uh I think it was Chinese people, which was the most, and that was like 21 to 23 days.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: It was like uh stuff like that, obviously, has to change.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: So um, I completely agree with uh Godfrey and uh that we should try and do to like move on to be our own entity and our own uh community and our own uh economy because stuff like that is just ridiculous.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can't personally think where to go and spend my black dollar and give that to another black person.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Like in my community, I really can't think of one place to go and say this is owned by a black person.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: Um how about the barber shop?
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: Uh my barber's not black.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: I told you Dominican?
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: Because that counts.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was about to say.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Like, don't ever let anyone fool you into, like, oh, black people are lazy.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, it's not true.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Like, once again, Tulsa, Oklahoma was a real place where it was a completely black city.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: And as a matter of fact, it was the it was one of the wealthiest cities in the entire country.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: That's what actually galvanized white people to get jealous and come through and try and destroy it in the form of a protest that turned into a riot.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: The same way they're talking about Black Lives Matter is a protest that turns to a riot, looters, they did the same thing.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: They burnt down a whole city.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: As a matter of fact, they had military gray planes dropping napalm on that city.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: So black people have have always done this.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: We can build, we are completely capable of it.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: The problem is we're not united right now, and we're our minds all over the place, and we're getting pulled this way by the trans community and oh, women's rights, and all these different things that are tearing us apart and that are keeping us united.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: So they're manipulating the entire black community, and I have to say that Democrats are largely behind that.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: That's a pretty powerful statement.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: I've been hearing that, and I really didn't look into that.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Look into it, bro.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: It's it's sick.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: They are the they're the party that started the KKK, they're the party that wanted to keep slavery.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's a fact.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it flipped.
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: I don't know when it flipped, but uh Martin Luther King was definitely a Republican.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Like, yo, it's it's wild.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: It definitely flipped, but uh politics in itself is uh some bullshit.
- 33:08SPEAKER_02: But um let me ask you a question.
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: So, you know, I gotta play the advocate.
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: Um that means uh what the there's no black um cell phone, there's no black car company, there's no black electric company, there's no black water company.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: These things don't come up overnight, these things are generational things.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: So if we were to go full off the grid, you know, we're not using uh we're only supporting each other by us for us.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: Um, I just don't like how would we get a start in that without the powers that be allowing us to do so in America, unless you're talking about just leaving America.
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: Me?
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, either of you.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: Um, I guess I'll go first on that.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: Uh honestly, uh, in America, uh I don't know how possible it would be to like like uh go that far up the the ladder, like as far as like you know, like allowing, not really allowing us, um, but you know, us getting our way and figuring out how to do it, because uh as we all could agree, like there's a lot of things that's put in place to keep us from like getting things like that.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: Uh honestly, if we do decide to like try to do our own full thing, we probably would have to go back to Africa.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: Honestly.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: That's that's another that's another big point.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: Oh man, but this is all but I had this argument with my dad all the time.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: It's hot over there about this.
- 34:47SPEAKER_02: It's not it's not even that.
- 34:48SPEAKER_02: If you go to Africa right now, bro, they're gonna look at you like, who the fuck are you?
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's the that's number one.
- 34:56SPEAKER_02: Black Americans, uh Caribbean black people, uh literal Africans, uh we are not in unison.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: Like we are those three groups, are not part.
- 35:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's no unity between these two groups.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Unity is a problem.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Because uh, let me just jump in right there.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Because, like I've said before, that's why I always say so-called black, is because like black is not a race.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: It's a color that was assigned to people who are not not white or not whatever the other colors are.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: Like these corporate designations, white, uh, Asian, or they don't have a like you can't call an Asian man a yellow man, you know what I mean, or you can't call other races red man, they have white and they have black, and then you know all these other designations.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: In black people is all kinds of different who are from the people, people who are from the who are the aboriginals of America, who are dark skinned, who this is actually their land, and they're all mixed together and throwing the title black over all of it.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: So that's a part of the the unity, the disunity part is like, you know, you go to a Dominican and say, oh, you're black.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: Some of them are like, no, I'm not, I'm Dominican.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: And we're like, we take it as an offense, but that's not the case.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: They're like, I have a c culture, I have a uh tribe, so to speak, that I come from.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: I'm not just this color that you're gonna blanket cover me with.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: And that's a part of what keeps us like like this, right?
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: Because we just say, Oh, we're all black.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: This dude is from, he's from Antigua, like this dude's from Jamaica, this guy's from Barbados, and they have cultures.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, you know, we can't get together behind that.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: But when we start to consider those things and we start to look at the bigger picture, they don't care how well we look like, they're gonna destroy all of us, then that'll bring us together, you know what I mean?
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: But to your first question, I do like the idea of Africa, but just like but like Ta said, like I don't know if that could happen because of how the majority of Africans view black Americans.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: But if I said that, say that oh yeah, you said, but I think that if we had a segment of land, even if it was like just a small state, give us a small state since we're only 13% of the the the population.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: Give us like even um Rhode Island.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: Give us like Rhode Island.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we build that up.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: You wanna know why?
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Like, we talk about cell phones and all the technologies they have, right?
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Cool, keep your technology.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go over here we're gonna build landlines.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: We do have a guy's face, and one of the things I know about not just people, but black people are pressure to us, the greatness comes out of us.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Think about it, hip-hop itself was born out of poverty and like jazz music was RB, we're home with their wife, and all this thing.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: All of this built out of pressure.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Like you put you put us in a bad place, we create tools like the monkey wrench, we create tools like the song, all the inventions of this country, 80% of them, upwards of 90% of them, are from us, from being uh in a disadvantaged, disadvantaged position.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of it is a lack of confidence in ourselves and a lack of confidence in each other as a black people.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: But historically, we are literally the nation builders.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: And once again, let me add this also too.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: Um those of them, those blacks who have like power and affluence, like LeBron, you know, uh Steph Curry, uh Oprah, Will Smith, all these people who have money, they have enough funds to do something.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: But there's a reason why they don't.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: Think about if like we talked about this before, if the all the great black NBA players say, yo, we're gonna start our own league over here, we're gonna call the we're gonna call the NBA, the Negro Basketball Association, the NBA point, whatever you want to call it, right?
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: They just leave and say, after our contract is done, we're going over here.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: And then all they start a draft draft class process that you can choose and this other NBA.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: And you start seeing them, all the black brothers go to this NBA, so the black NBA, and all the dollars, the black dollars are going here.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: Now they're gonna have a white NBA and a black NBA.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: Where who they gonna watch?
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: Blacks, man.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: Who's the world gonna want to see?
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: They want to see Gordon Hayward, they want to see LeBron.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: So there's ways, even when it comes to singing, like all forms of artistry.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: We can literally like if we kept it to ourselves, they would have to come to us for it.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Because America only exclusively, the only exclusive export is culture.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: And the culture comes, source of culture is black people in America, bro.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: All their slang, all their style, all the things that make America cool come from us.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: And that's a fact.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, we'd be a what Wakanda would be a real place.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: It'd be a real place.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: It'd be a real thing.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: There'd be a legit black panther running around like, yo, chill, don't touch that money.
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for real.
- 39:32SPEAKER_02: Like, it's not a joke, it's not a joke, but I feel like our culture is a double-edged sword.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: I feel like our culture is so popping and so great, but it's also so poisonous and so destructive to our own people.
- 39:54SPEAKER_02: Like, white kids like look at hip hop like a safari.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: Like they get to go into the jungle.
- 40:00SPEAKER_02: Because that's what 6ix9ine was was to me, honestly.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: He got to participate, like he they put him in the jungle.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: And when the shit got when the lion was finally about to pounce and everything got too real, the powers that be pulled him right out.
- 40:14SPEAKER_02: All right, tell us what the lions is doing.
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's what they was doing?
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: All right, let's lock these lines up because they're crazy.
- 40:20SPEAKER_02: So that that's that to me is the problem with our culture.
- 40:24SPEAKER_02: It's it's infectious, it's impregnant, like impregnates everything.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: And it's beautiful.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: From Alan Iverson to Mike Tyson, it's it's beautiful, but at the same token, Alan Iverson has um a what you call it.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: His money is like in a trust, like he's a grown-ass man that another man is telling him when he can spend his money, and that's because Allen Iverson could not take care of his fucking money.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: That's and and things like that is just so weird to me because you don't see that in any other culture, bro.
- 40:56SPEAKER_02: You don't see that nowhere else.
- 40:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like it's crazy to me.
- 41:00SPEAKER_02: So I definitely agree with you that um, you know, black culture is the number one thing that America has, and that's us 100%.
- 41:12SPEAKER_02: But at what point do we take the culture to task like this whole um baby mama thing and baby father thing, as opposed to, you know, you know, if you like me, like if you want a hundred bitches, there's a way to do that.
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: Like this is there's a way to do that, that you don't create broken families everywhere.
- 41:31SPEAKER_02: But that's that's not what we're learning.
- 41:32SPEAKER_02: We're learning that, oh nah, I'm gonna have the baddest girls and the all the cars and things like that without knowing, like, you know, you need structure for these things to for them to not be destructive.
- 41:45SPEAKER_02: So how how would you like how how would we as a people balance this?
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: That's that's my always my issue.
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: You know what type of time I'm on, so I'm gonna go back to the source.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: There's this book that they said the white man wrote, it's not true.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: All the Bible, scriptures, the holy scriptures, that book's full of black people.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: That is our actual culture right there.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Now, there's a scripture in there that says the gifts of God are without repentance, which means that the gifts are given freely.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be a good person or a bad person to deserve these gifts.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: That means you have them naturally.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Hold that, hold that thought for a second.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: And then also is another verse that says basically, if the people, the original people of God come back to him, then you know the route to salvation would be even easier and better.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: That's that's like a gist of it.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: What I'm saying is the things that we look at as negative in our culture is basically us using our quote unquote powers and gifts for evil.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if we use our powers and gifts for good, then we could influence our entire people and the rest of the world to do things the right way.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Let me give you some examples.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: For all of Bill Cosby's accura um allegations, when he was on top and he was making, you know, the Cosby show and um a different world.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: Remember, um kid black kid going to school was at an all-time high.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: He he made the the traditional black family with cigarettes.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: The whole thing, ugly matters.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: All these were sitcoms that showed you black people in a good place and made you want that.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: So after a while, it's like, yo, yo, get rid of that.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: There was a whole channel.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: UPN9 had a lot of black shows on it.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: Not all of them are good, but remember there was a time where like you had even if it was um hanging with Mr.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Cooper and all these other shows, sister, sister, you had a black man, a black woman together, raising a family, going through regular life, problems, problems.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: But they were not bums.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: Your hugs was a doctor and a lawyer, I think, and the father was a doctor.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: So it was we at that time we were using our gifts for good.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: Even the original hip hop that was birthed in New York City before NWA came and took over.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, NWA took over.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: It was getting really, really we were getting really conscious and we're teaching like brothers reading books better local cables to rap notions.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: So it's not like every tourist toxicity as a piece making us birth.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Dysfunction and we keep regurgitating and passing it down.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: But once again, behind that, at the top of the hip hop industries, at the top of those labor groups, is not people that look like us.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: It's people over there who are saying that us, some Jews.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: They're the ones who are like incentivizing rap about just to rap about this, rap about that.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: If you want to get signed, you have to rap about proportionate.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: That's what would be one woman and raise quality children who I'm birthing with a purpose to go and be this and be that and to fulfill a purpose to bring to bring our people into another place.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Like other races literally have children with a purpose.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Like in Asia, right?
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: For instance, Yao Ming, they they bred him to be what he was.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Or he was a failure, obviously, because his body can sustain.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: But in Asia, they bred they breed the best doctors together, they breathe the best cooks together, they breathe the best musicians because they want to get making better musicians.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying we should do that, but when you have a child, you should always have in mind what you want to do.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: I definitely can control their lives, their lives, but you're saying like yo, this if you live in my house, bro, I'm training somebody, I'm not gonna let you run around the streets.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: So that's the cure, honestly.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: It goes back to the book.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: I definitely definitely that was that was pretty powerful stuff.
- 45:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, definitely.
- 45:19SPEAKER_02: So so Toon, um, you're you're an artist, and um how do you feel about um the industry that you're you know?
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: Um to be honest, I definitely uh understand that uh that this industry definitely uh one paints an image of a black man that definitely uh isn't always positive.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: Uh and I understand that the music that if you choose to make a certain type of music um is not uh is not always positive.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: But um the thing that I would say about music that uh that I kind of like I think people overlook is that a lot of artists use their environment to um elevate them out of a situation, which I think is a testament to black people.
- 46:12SPEAKER_01: Um unfortunately, a lot of our realities are um aren't the best.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: So a lot of the times if we're talking about a situation that I literally looked out my window and I seen this dude kill this dude, or I seen this guy sell drugs to this guy, or I see some uh somebody's girlfriend arguing with this next girl over because somebody's cheating, or whatever the case may be.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: That's that's just a story that I have to live with.
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: And that uh if I if I could tell that story, it's possibly helping the next person that's going through it that can't articulate themselves as well as I can.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: I think that part gets overlooked because the actual image is so I can't, I guess, is disgusting to a lot of people.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: So I'm saying that to basically say that um that I get that music is definitely detention to uh I would say our growth, because a lot of people get caught up in the culture, they get caught up in the having a lot of baby mamas or having a lot of women, having the nicest cars, uh, not necessarily working a nine to five to get the money that they're getting, um having nice chains and stuff like that.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: But I think that we also have to capital, we have to understand that like we can't always blame the artists because the artist is like speaking their truth.
- 47:31SPEAKER_01: Now, what you could blame the artist for is now if they're making all these money, all this money, millions and millions of dollars, and they haven't been back to the community, they haven't gave given back, there's there's no programs in their hood, there's there's no basketball tournaments, there's no uh uh classes for engineering or stuff like that that they're helping funding.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: I think that's when you should start blaming the artists instead of blaming their music that they're making.
- 47:57SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 47:58SPEAKER_02: I definitely agree.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: That's that's a very uh eloquent way to place that from the artist's perspective.
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: That's uh really dope.
- 48:06SPEAKER_02: I never really thought of it like that.
- 48:07SPEAKER_02: Especially because you know, I participate in uh hip hop music, I participate in hip-hop culture.
- 48:12SPEAKER_02: It's my it's my shit.
- 48:14SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: And honestly, I think this may sound crazy.
- 48:19SPEAKER_01: I think it's our right to participate in in the culture, even though we get judged so heavily on it.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: This is something that like like Godfrey said before, this culture is literally ours.
- 48:32SPEAKER_01: It may not be the prettiest, but it's literally the only thing that we can say.
- 48:37SPEAKER_01: Like the world watches this and we're the like, we're behind, or maybe not behind every image, but we get the control on the trends.
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: We pick what's cool, we pick what's hot, we got the we got the best athletes we can say.
- 48:50SPEAKER_01: You know, shit like that.
- 48:51SPEAKER_01: I think that like that's why I feel like I I participate in hip-hop because it is us.
- 48:56SPEAKER_01: This is like unscripted.
- 48:58SPEAKER_01: You decide what is cool, we decide what is cool, we wear what we wear, we drive what we drive.
- 49:02SPEAKER_01: And, you know, things like that.
- 49:04SPEAKER_01: I just feel like we shouldn't steer away because it's so ugly.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: We should probably just like clean it up and like we shouldn't get so engulfed in what the culture is because it's so uh televised and shit like that.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: We have to, you know, better ourselves and understand that like sometimes life you can live it like a movie, or you could be on some real shit and like build up your people.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: You have to like have a balance.
- 49:27SPEAKER_02: I think our little baby is on a pretty good job with that, actually.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, actually, actually, I definitely could agree with that.
- 49:36SPEAKER_01: He's doing a pretty good job.
- 49:37SPEAKER_01: Uh little baby.
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: Showing your age, my buddy.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:46SPEAKER_01: Showing age man who little baby is.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: Are you gonna wear that hulk shirt and not know who little baby is, man?
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: I didn't know who said dub.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: I didn't know if you said dub baby or little baby.
- 49:59SPEAKER_02: So I was like, who I think dub baby still he's a plant.
- 50:04SPEAKER_02: I think he's an industry plant.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: You may be right.
- 50:07SPEAKER_02: You may be might be dub.
- 50:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's an industry plant.
- 50:13SPEAKER_02: I think they said like he was related to somebody.
- 50:20SPEAKER_02: Can we say that?
- 50:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man.
- 50:23SPEAKER_02: I'm telling you, these people be coming out of nowhere, bro.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: And just blown up, like all of a sudden you gotta track with Beyonce.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Yo, that's yo, that's not easy to pull off, bro.
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: Remember last she had the hot girl summer shit, though.
- 50:36SPEAKER_01: It's not out of nowhere.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: She kind of built that buzz last year.
- 50:40SPEAKER_00: But I was like, You gotta push somebody to have that.
- 50:44SPEAKER_00: You gotta push somebody to have that though.
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: Like the radio has to play your music.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: Like Hardy B.
- 50:49SPEAKER_00: Like when Bulldog Yellow blew up.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: I was like, yo, like they just push it.
- 50:52SPEAKER_00: Like you hear it every I remember working at you when I used to be at the Y, like I would hear like every 10 minutes, like Bulldack Yellow, man, they really pushed this girl.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that I mean, I mean that wasn't even like high 97.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: That was Z100.
- 51:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Z100.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: That was wild, wild.
- 51:13SPEAKER_02: Just to switch gears a little bit.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: Um I definitely understand what you're saying.
- 51:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, just to switch gears a little bit.
- 51:21SPEAKER_02: Um, how do you guys feel about the NBA season re uh uh restarting?
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: What did you say?
- 51:28SPEAKER_02: Restarting or starting up again?
- 51:31SPEAKER_02: Continuing, continuing might be the word.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: I say let it go, man.
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: Um you can't, you can't.
- 51:38SPEAKER_01: Only reason why it's unfortunate because I think uh LeBron definitely was gonna get a ring this uh this year.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: Yo, honestly, but honestly, you might have you might have been right, but I mean I guess it wasn't in the car stream.
- 51:53SPEAKER_01: I'm no no no, I'm telling you, if they restart, he's definitely gonna win.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: He that means he had two breaks.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: He had last summer off and he had three months.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: He's yo, he's not winning if they restart now.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: You telling me LeBron LeBron is gonna be healthy.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: You know how long a break is.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: The reason why this is go ahead, go ahead.
- 52:11SPEAKER_01: No, I I just want to ask you a question.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: Go ahead.
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: When's the last time LeBron had a break?
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: All right, had a break.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: Last year was a break.
- 52:20SPEAKER_01: Like he like his summers has been short for the last what eight years?
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: Besides the okay.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: He had this summer off.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: Now he had last summer off, that's a fact.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: And this summer too.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: And he just had three months off.
- 52:37SPEAKER_01: Now we know we we I think we all follow LeBron, right?
- 52:40SPEAKER_01: Maybe, maybe not all of us.
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: I know I do.
- 52:43SPEAKER_01: He never he never stopped working out.
- 52:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this is crazy.
- 52:47SPEAKER_01: I don't follow any of the NBA players.
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 52:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, let me tell you.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: It's not like just LeBron.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: I don't follow anybody.
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: I feel you, I feel you.
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: But let me tell you what LeBron did since you didn't follow him.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: He never stopped working out.
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: Bro, that is not important.
- 53:02SPEAKER_01: He never stopped working out.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: He never stopped working out.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: He may have not said this, but there was plenty of reports that he was having uh uh wreck in his house.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: So who you think is pulling up to his house for wreck?
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: Anthony Davis.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: I could assume it's Anthony Davis, correct?
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: Anthony Davis is gonna be there.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: Um probably uh Danny Green, J.R.
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: Smith.
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: So basically Eamon Chumper, Del of Adova.
- 53:30SPEAKER_00: No, he there.
- 53:31SPEAKER_01: So not only is he staying in shape, he's making sure his teammates stay in shape.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: Kyrie's not there.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: You think everybody in the league works as hard as LeBron or staying as focused as LeBron?
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, yeah.
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: I believe not everybody, but the best, the Giannis's the Kawaiis, the the Stephs, the all those guys, like the top-tier players?
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: Actually, I heard that um one of these players we thought was gonna be good.
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: This is not going good for him, uh, a guy named Luka Donich.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: And I remember my cousin works for the cousin works for the U.
- 54:03SPEAKER_00: So he hears the scuttle butt, like the real, I said scuttle butt.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: He hears the real stuff.
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: He said that he's hearing that like Luka Donich is really out of shape right now.
- 54:11SPEAKER_00: But he's trying to get a lot of things.
- 54:12SPEAKER_02: He's a fat kid.
- 54:13SPEAKER_02: He's fat in general.
- 54:14SPEAKER_02: What he's a kid still, Godfrey.
- 54:17SPEAKER_02: He's a kid still.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: But yeah, like I'm just saying, like all the players are not on that vibe that LeBron's on.
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: But I'm saying the the Giannis is absolutely Giannis is he's ballery.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:29SPEAKER_01: I think he really wise ready to wants it.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think those, but I think those are a select few.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: I think there's like there's not a goddamn thing.
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: Because like, look how what is Chris Middleton doing right now?
- 54:41SPEAKER_02: You see, yeah, he's not getting this shit.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: Like somebody like James Harner, we know he's an unbelievable talent, but I don't think he's worked out since this shit started.
- 54:50SPEAKER_01: Look how big look how big he was already.
- 54:52SPEAKER_01: That's speculation.
- 54:53SPEAKER_01: We don't know that.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: No, that's all right, that's fine.
- 54:55SPEAKER_01: Let me tell you why.
- 54:56SPEAKER_01: His teammate is Russell Weston.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: Russell Wesley's gonna be at his house everyone.
- 54:59SPEAKER_01: I think Russbrook, I think he's one of those guys that Giannis, I think he understands that like he's just like programmed to work out.
- 55:05SPEAKER_01: But James Harden, I follow James Harden on Instagram too.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: You know who I see him with?
- 55:10SPEAKER_01: Non-basketball players.
- 55:11SPEAKER_01: I see him.
- 55:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I see him, I see him with rappers.
- 55:15SPEAKER_01: You know who works out least?
- 55:17SPEAKER_01: The least the rappers.
- 55:20SPEAKER_01: Rappers don't listen.
- 55:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they don't work out.
- 55:23SPEAKER_01: They actually have the most mic.
- 55:28SPEAKER_01: So I'm telling you, man, I think I think the Rockets is out of the question.
- 55:32SPEAKER_01: I I think these are all the stuff you gotta like put on the table, man.
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: Whoever's been staying in game shape is going to be the champion.
- 55:39SPEAKER_01: And I think it's gonna be the Lakers.
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: I think LeBron is that leader.
- 55:42SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't see any other leader in the league, maybe besides Kawhi, but I don't see him being like a motivator.
- 55:49SPEAKER_01: I see him being like like, you know, he keeps himself in position to win.
- 55:53SPEAKER_01: But LeBron, I see him as like a full team leader, all my buck.
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: And I see Draymond's on his teammates to be able to get ready.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: You think I think he's the the the team leader that we see the most, but there's a lot of team leaders out there, bro.
- 56:06SPEAKER_00: Like you you'd be surprised.
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: Like Jimmy Butler's not sitting on his behind the council.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: I should have the perfect time for me to get with all the young guys and get him ready.
- 56:15SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 56:15SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 56:16SPEAKER_00: Like there's guys like that all over the league.
- 56:19SPEAKER_01: Uh Jimmy Butler's probably definitely that guy.
- 56:22SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
- 56:22SPEAKER_01: Now, what do you say?
- 56:24SPEAKER_01: No, that was that I agree.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: I've been working out right now, a lot of guys like that.
- 56:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:29SPEAKER_01: But that's what I'm saying.
- 56:30SPEAKER_01: Are you and are you and getting your team involved?
- 56:33SPEAKER_01: It's one thing for you to stay in shape.
- 56:35SPEAKER_01: But so let's say during this quarantine, you've been like you God free, it's like, you know what, I'm gonna work out, I'm gonna stay in shape.
- 56:40SPEAKER_01: There's another thing to call everybody and be like, yo, guys, what are you guys doing?
- 56:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you never called me.
- 56:46SPEAKER_01: That's why I'm out of shape right now.
- 56:48SPEAKER_01: I don't think it makes you selfish that you didn't call me, but it does.
- 56:53SPEAKER_01: But it's a different type of leadership to be like you talking to a lot, like my bad, sorry to cut you off.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: I know Jam will remind me a lot of Horace Graham, right?
- 57:04SPEAKER_00: We got a lot of Horse Green.
- 57:07SPEAKER_00: I got your ring, did I not?
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: Uh oh.
- 57:09SPEAKER_00: Listen, go ahead, sorry.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: Nah, that was it.
- 57:11SPEAKER_01: That's pretty much that's leading the point.
- 57:13SPEAKER_00: That's leading my point right there.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: But you know what's funny though, like once again, like I love that you brought that up about the leadership because we keep we keep giving LeBron this, like, yo, you're the ultimate leader.
- 57:22SPEAKER_00: But like he doesn't lead people to rings.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: I don't understand.
- 57:24SPEAKER_00: Like, there's guys like this guy, there's two, no, there's two types of leaders.
- 57:28SPEAKER_00: There's leaders like these, oh come on, team Rara, and there's guys who be quiet on the bench, like, all right, when I get out there, I'm about to drop 40.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: I'm leading us, like, I'm gonna be in the front.
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: Follow me or not.
- 57:37SPEAKER_00: Those Kobe's, those Jordans, you know what I'm talking about.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: But I do believe there's a lot of players right now who are in shape, bro.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: I promise you.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: We're getting in shape.
- 57:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, also, I think you have to add to that leadership, too.
- 57:50SPEAKER_01: You like how who who has made more all-stars than LeBron?
- 57:56SPEAKER_01: That's like what I do with leadership.
- 58:00SPEAKER_01: No, that has to do that has to do a lot with leadership.
- 58:03SPEAKER_01: That is elevat, I'm elevating you to be an all-star.
- 58:06SPEAKER_01: You are not.
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: So then, yeah, because uh Gowskis.
- 58:12SPEAKER_01: Is that an all-star name to you?
- 58:15SPEAKER_02: No, well, you definitely meant an all-star game.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, dude, all-stars.
- 58:20SPEAKER_00: And they have to have been all-stars only with LeBron and after LeBron.
- 58:24SPEAKER_00: If they have an all-star before him, it doesn't count.
- 58:26SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 58:26SPEAKER_00: Uh Judas or Gowski.
- 58:28SPEAKER_01: He was definitely not.
- 58:29SPEAKER_01: Williams.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 58:31SPEAKER_01: Williams in the else.
- 58:34SPEAKER_01: Who else?
- 58:35SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm I'm I could come up with a list.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: But uh off the top of my fan before the Miami Heat run.
- 58:45SPEAKER_01: So I really can't remember them years, but there was a lot of people he helped.
- 58:51SPEAKER_00: It was only Mo and Zedrunis.
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 58:55SPEAKER_02: How about Verijah?
- 58:56SPEAKER_02: Verajan never became an All-Star.
- 58:58SPEAKER_01: Nah, no, no, he double check that.
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: I'll check that right now.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you, yeah, you can look that up.
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: What's his name?
- 59:05SPEAKER_01: Verija?
- 59:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Anderson.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: And and then Anderson.
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm gonna try to think, man.
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: It's not that many.
- 59:16SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, it's media hype just like COVID.
- 59:19SPEAKER_00: All right, so who could who Kobe brought there?
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: Um, being an excellent.
- 59:27SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that he made an All-Star.
- 59:29SPEAKER_00: I think he got he got Shannon, he got Shannon Brown to the to the Dunkon thing.
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: Come on, man.
- 59:37SPEAKER_01: Who Jordan got there?
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: These guys don't make nobody better.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: Um that's not a leader, man.
- 59:43SPEAKER_01: You see how like when you was training us, yes, that's a fact.
- 59:48SPEAKER_01: Which one is more effective?
- 59:52SPEAKER_01: Come on, Godfrey, I'm telling you, when you was training, when you was training to Yeah, you can go.
- 59:58SPEAKER_00: You can speak.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_00: What is first of all, what is a jam I'm doing?
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_00: But anyway, listen, there's two types of leaders, number one.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_00: Multiple types of leaders, but let me say this.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_00: There's nothing, it doesn't matter what I would have said to y'all to galvanize y'all to work out with me if I did not show you first, like with my own results.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_00: Like if I was just a regular smack, I'd be like, yo, let's get this workout, you'll be like, yeah, nah, nigga.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_00: But y'all saw the results, y'all saw my work ethic, and y'all was like, yeah, I want, I want to be on that level, I want to do that.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: So that's what made y'all listen.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: Every word I said meant meant something because of I showed you first.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_00: Like, when you when you look at Jordan, like you can't deny how dope he was, how awesome of a player, how like just not even just his talent physically, but his drive, his will to win.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_00: So the plays around him were forced, like, yo, I have to play good, like to play with, like, to be on this guy's team.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: Like, think about it.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: Even in the Jordan doc, they were talking about how how Scottie Pippen came on the team, like, hey, I'm about to be nice, but his work ethic wasn't there.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: Even when Jordy wasn't there, he quit on the team one time.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: They highlighted that.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: When Jordan was there, there was no quick.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: There was no, there's no option of quitting, but we're gonna win.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_00: But see, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_00: There's Tim was the second, that's when he gets cold as a g.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_00: And LeBron gave up after that mess up by JR.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_00: It wasn't even like this fight in game two, it was like series over.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_00: LeBron yo, LeBron gave up.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_01: I think that was like the that that took all the wind out of him, man.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_01: Well, he put up 50.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_01: They went into overtime.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_01: If you didn't still that game, I think he should have, I think they got scroll that series.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_01: I think that was that that shouldn't have happened.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_01: I think they should have stole one, at least one.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_01: They were in position to jail.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_01: Wait, yeah, exactly.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_01: And think of I I put it, I put myself in that position.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_01: I put up 50 points.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_01: It was no Kyrie, right?
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_01: It was no Kyrie.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_01: Keep that no K Love was hurt, correct?
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_01: So I literally know he was healthy.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_01: He was healthy that year.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_01: He was healthy?
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: He was healthy.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I put up 50 points.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: We were going to overtime.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: We had a chance to win, and this asshole didn't understand that we had a chance to win.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_01: Like, how for think about it?
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_01: How like I understand he's supposed to be a champion, he's supposed to fight through that shit, but I can understand how we missed our chance to win, and then the Warriors were just a better team.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_00: It's a seven game.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: We lost game one.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_00: It's not over.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_00: That excuse to make it for LeBron is why.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_00: People get mad about LeBron.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_00: It's like, yo, why am I making excuses for a guy who's supposed to be this great?
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_00: I can't make no excuses for Jordan.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_00: I don't need to.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: Because he never gave you space to be like, yo, I see why you lost in your first year.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_00: He could have easily said, yo, it's my first year in the league.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: I don't have to do much.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_00: They're they're a team that obviously only has like 20-something wins, but he said, nah, we're going to the playoffs every year.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_00: I'm here.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_00: Like that's crazy to me.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_00: He didn't have any reason to think about it, bro.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_01: Why don't we mention that?
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_01: You can't like that's part of the part of the journey.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_01: That happens, of course.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_01: But what if part of the journey?
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_02: Nah, that's not right.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_02: Because if LeBron, if LeBron were to lose all those times in the first round or the second round, the scrutiny would be just as it would be worse in my opinion.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_00: Here's why that's not true, though, because LeBron didn't make the playoffs the first two years.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_00: No one cares.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_00: Like, all right, cool.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_00: He was new.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_00: He went to the finals and lost to the duck to the um Duncan and the Spurs.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_00: People don't hold out again.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_02: No, they definitely do.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_02: It's part of this 3-6 record.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't really count that.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_00: Yo, the one I look at is the Mavs.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_00: You have no excuse for that.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_00: That far outweighs a young Michael Jordan losing and being eliminated in the first round to a champ, a world, like we're talking about a world, all world um Boston team and the pistons who went on to win rings.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_00: It's not like he lost to Bums.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_00: He lost two champions.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: There's those same things that you have to put into play.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_01: LeBron has never played for a Hall of Fame coach.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_01: I don't think it's an excuse because I think he's done well.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_01: That's not an excuse.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_02: That's a big deal.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_02: I think Bill Jackson was not a Hall of Fame coach before Jordan, though.
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_01: It's not like my bad the coach.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_02: But he was one after him.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_02: Every time Jordan.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_02: No, hell no.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_02: You're not giving that to Jordan.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_02: That's Phil Jackson's genius.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_00: Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_00: So that so there wasn't a year where Jordan wasn't there and the Bulls were not who they were.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_02: Nah, they were about to go to the finals.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_02: But then they go, though.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_02: That was because of players' fault.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_02: That was Scottie Pippen's fault.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_02: He did a lot with that.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_02: That goes to show how good that Bulls team was.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_02: That's a knock on Jordan.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_02: How's that a knock on Jordan?
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_02: Because it showed how good that team was without him.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_02: Every team that LeBron James leaves, they don't even make the playoffs.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_00: Because the teams are built around LeBron in a while.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_02: That doesn't make any sense.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_02: Like, what are you talking about?
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_02: Every team is built around a star player.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_02: Every team is built around a star player.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_02: What does that even mean?
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_00: Come on, man.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: Here's what I'm saying to you though.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_00: James on the Miami Heat, right?
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_00: And when Miami, when they broke up, right?
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_00: It was it was still Bosch and it was still Wade.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_00: We never got to see Bosch and Wade because Bosch had his heart condition and Wade was out of shape or whatever.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_00: So we never got to see what they do without him.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure that team's a contender without him, bro.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying they win no ring, but oh yeah.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_00: I I definitely agree.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_00: Can we can we agree that the Cavs on the other hand, Kyrie?
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_00: Kyrie is a big part of that team.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_01: Go ahead.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_01: No, no, you go, you go, you go better.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_01: I was just rebuttering a little part.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_01: You can continue though.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just saying the Kyrie left before LeBron um left the second time, right?
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, before he went to the Lakers.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_00: So they were already on the downside 'cause they lost their second their second best player.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_00: So it's not like the same condition where Jordan just disappeared and he had the same exact team, the same infrastructure.
- 1:05:55SPEAKER_00: The the c the circumstances are different, but we really get in into it to be honest, like Nah, Jordan is the linchpin to that team.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_00: They want to prove that they were nice without without Jordan.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_00: So they played hard every game.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_00: They got to the top level and they took it.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_02: All of that is true, and I understand what you're saying, but I I personally don't believe that Jordan, I mean, LeBron LeBron is better than Jordan career-wise.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_02: That has always been my argument.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_02: I think that the only person that can contend with Jordan career-wise is probably Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Bill Russell.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_02: Those are the only people that can contend with his career.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_02: All I ever said was in a vacuum, I'm taking the guy that is 6'8, 250 pounds.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_00: More physically gifted, yeah.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's the guy I'm taking.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_00: In the intangible area, LeBron is definitely not.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: He's now nowhere near Jordan.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: Um I wouldn't say nowhere near historically the three, probably the three greatest like physical freaks.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_00: Now he's he's closer now, but back like for the majority of his career, nah.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_00: But the three major freaks, four major freaks in HBC in the NBA, Will Tranglain, Shaq, LeBron, and Um Giannis.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_00: They all have the physical gifts.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_00: The one who did the most so far is really the LeBron, and between LeBron and Shaq.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_00: But you look at these physical freaks, and for some reason they're always missing on the ring count, like their success, because they they depend too heavily on their physical gifts.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_00: Whereas this guys like Kobe, who, for all intents and purposes, is the average size for his position, average talent, his hands are actually small for his size and still gets that level of success.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_00: Look at Bill Russell, who's short for his position, still was clapping Will Chamberlain.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_02: So whatever reason, I'm a Bill Russell hater.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_01: When you gonna step in and say something, man.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_02: I'm a Bill Russell hater.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna let you know right now.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_02: Bill Russell, Bill Russell had a way better team than Will Chamberlain did.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_02: Let's just start right there.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_02: Can you agree with me there?
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_02: Can you name me one of Bill Russell's I mean, can you name me one of Wilt's teammates besides Jerry West and Elgin Baylor?
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_02: And that was on the downside of his career.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: You're wild and like I'm good.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_00: I was gonna name Jerry West.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_02: No, but that was when Bill, um that was when Wilt was a little bit older.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_02: I'm talking about Bill Russell was playing with Bob Cousy and them niggas, like his whole career.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_00: This nigga Bob Coosie.
- 1:08:29SPEAKER_02: No, Bob Cousy is the all-time Celtic great.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_02: Like that's one of their heroes.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_02: So who was Will playing with again?
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry, before he was 38 years old.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_02: That's number one.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_02: Bill Russell is a product of his generation.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_02: And he did not play against elite talent night in and night out.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_02: His only elite talent was Will the Stilt.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_02: And by the time Will got a team that could contend with the Celtics, it was already too late.
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_02: That's how I look at that.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_02: So I don't, I'm not putting Bill Russell in the same category.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_02: Because if I put Bill Russell in today's NBA, he doesn't start.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_02: He doesn't start.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_02: He doesn't start.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_00: This is kind of many people don't know that.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_00: You want to know why?
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_00: Because you wanna because there's a name Draymond Green, who is 6'6, and he's locking up all five positions.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_00: His IQ is up there as rash as he is sometimes.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_00: Draymond Green can ball when he's at when he's at his peak.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_00: Like, there's guys who show you, like, yo, if I played back then, I'd be nice because I'm clearly nice now, and I'm undersized.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_00: So we can't say that Bill Russell wouldn't succeed.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_00: He obviously had a high basketball IQ to be doing what he was doing back then and winning against Wolf Chamberlain Company.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_00: So I can't that.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_02: He was six nine.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_02: He was big.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_00: But to say that he's not a he's not a he's not a factor on that team is a lie, bro.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: He plays and he's good.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_00: He's a factor.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_00: He costs I'm not a Draymond hater.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_02: I fuck with Draymond.
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_02: I think he's a he's a great role player.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_01: I think he got exposed this year, just like Steph Curry got exposed this year.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_00: That team was particularly.
- 1:10:13SPEAKER_00: I just understand what he's done for the NBA.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_00: He changed the NBA.
- 1:10:16SPEAKER_00: You just say LeBron.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_00: I don't hate LeBron.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_00: LeBron is phenomenal, bro.
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_00: He's a beast.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_00: But I'm one of those people who believes in yo, you gotta use more than your physical talents.
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_00: To be successful.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_00: Because it's a it's a game, like, yo, listen.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_00: One of the knocks against the NBA in the early 90s was like, yo, these guys just fully ahead they can run and jump, but like they don't think about no no.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_00: There's a there's an IQ level to this, and you can you can raise it.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_00: And LeBron is I had a high IQ, but he doesn't use his team IQ a lot.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_00: Like the the strategy should not be give the ball to LeBron, let him penetrate and kick it out to somebody when they're cold to shoot every time.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_00: That can't be the that can't be the strategy.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_00: He's gonna get beaten by the higher the teams with higher basketball IQs.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_00: I'll out the the Mavs, a la the uh the Spurs, and the Golden State Warriors.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_00: These teams, this is three teams I can name that beat him in the finals because of just higher coaching.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_00: Cold coaching.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_00: Bro, but LeBron has had the choice of coaches.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_00: He always chooses bums.
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_00: He's had the opportunity.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_00: He doesn't want to be coached by he doesn't want to be coached by um Miami.
- 1:11:14SPEAKER_00: He didn't have a choice he didn't have a choice in Miami.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_00: Yo, matter of fact, as a matter of fact, in Miami, it was Pat Riley who was like, yo, we're gonna do it this way.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_00: And LeBron was like, so you're not gonna change things for me, you're not gonna give me the coach that I want.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_00: You you trust this guy who's already got his two championships.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_00: Pat Riley was a genius, who's won championships.
- 1:11:29SPEAKER_00: No, I don't want that, Pat Riley.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_00: I'm going back to the Cavs with David Black.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_00: He made that choice.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: He had a good coach.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_01: I definitely agree.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_01: That's why he left.
- 1:11:40SPEAKER_01: I definitely could agree.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_01: I don't know for a fact, but I could agree.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_01: That's why he left.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_01: I could agree.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_01: That burn.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because it's a fact.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't change the fact that he's never had a Hall of Fame coach.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_00: Yo, Spoe's gonna end up Spoe's gonna, yo, coach, Coach Spo is gonna end up as a Hall of Famer coach.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_00: That's a fact.
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_00: That's when he's done, Hall of Famer.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_02: That's because it's so easy to become a fucking Hall of Famer in basketball.
- 1:12:13SPEAKER_02: That shit is trash, bro.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_00: So changing a goal post, moving the goalposts.
- 1:12:19SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_01: Papa and Eric's position is the same type of coach.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_02: Hell fucking no.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_01: They both end up in this hall of fame, and you're like, I'm I'll take either or.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_01: If you ask me, I don't even care.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_01: I'm choosing either or.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_00: This is my thing.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_00: This is my thing.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_00: I actually, honestly, it depends on the team I have who I would choose, but I would honestly today's NBA, I would go with the city.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_00: Can you stop, please?
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_00: Come on, man.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_00: We take pop telling.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_00: We're gonna see how good Coach Popovic is.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_00: We're gonna see, yo, we're gonna see how good Coach Popovich is from here on out.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_00: You wanna know why?
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_00: Because there's no more Tim Duncan.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_00: There's no more um David Robinson.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_00: There's no more Kawhi.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_00: We're gonna see how good he is now.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_01: They've been contenders, can't we agree?
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_00: Yo, he's always had Tim Duncan on his team.
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_00: We don't know how good he's without him.
- 1:13:09SPEAKER_00: Like, we're gonna see how good Coach Spo is right now without Dwayne Wade and without LeBron.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_00: And he's doing pretty good, in my opinion.
- 1:13:13SPEAKER_00: So yeah, no, I'm a Heat fan.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_02: I love Spoe's trailer.
- 1:13:16SPEAKER_00: I think he's right.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_00: I think he's a good coach.
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_02: He is, he's a good coach, but he's he's not a great coach.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_02: He's not a Hall of Fame coach.
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's he's pretty young.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_02: He's still pretty young.
- 1:13:27SPEAKER_02: Yes, Tom.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_02: He's very young for a coach.
- 1:13:31SPEAKER_01: He's been the coach for a while, and I've seen his downs.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_01: He had a lot of downs.
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he had to be by zone, bro.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_01: I didn't utilize uh uh my bad to coach off Godfrey.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_01: No, no, go ahead.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_03: You're right.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_01: He didn't utilize uh Mike Mike Beasley the way he was supposed to.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_01: Um he went he went before that season, he went 15 and uh 67, I think.
- 1:13:54SPEAKER_01: Uh you we we have to remember things like that.
- 1:13:56SPEAKER_01: I don't want to.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_01: D.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_00: Wayne was injured.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_01: But this this Miami team that he has now, like it's a good team, but they it exceeded expectations.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_01: I think he had a team back then that definitely could have been something better than 15 and 67.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_01: You don't agree?
- 1:14:14SPEAKER_01: Even P Way being hurt.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_00: I agree to a degree.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_00: But let me say this.
- 1:14:19SPEAKER_00: I just find it interesting that y'all are so willing to protect LeBron that you're willing to gut your own team to make your sponsor.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_01: I'm a Heat fan.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_01: AJ.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_01: I don't hate every sponsor, but I dislike him.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't like his coaching style.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_01: I love Spulter.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_00: He messed up with two rings.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_00: He got two rings off him off his coaching.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_00: But let me say this though.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_00: Statistically speaking, when the Heat don't make the playoffs under Spo, it's always by like a small margin.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_00: It's not like they're at the bottom or they're 11th.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: They're always like, yo, number, number nine, ten.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_00: And they feel that they could have by a couple of games, and it's always some kind of injury factor, things like that.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_00: But for the most part, Coach Spo's his resume is really good in comparison to, if anything, he's in the second tier of top coaches, to be quite honest, in today's NBA.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_00: It's Burr, it's um Kerr, it's um Popovich, um maybe Carl Arla, who I don't think he's that I'll say Coach Arla, and right under there is one of those guys who are on that level, to be quite honest.
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_00: If we're talking about today's NBA.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_00: So for me, when I looked at that, I'm like, yo, LeBron has played with a good coach.
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_00: He has.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_00: As a matter of fact, when LeBron was actually getting in the in the paint and going on the going on the block and backing people down per Coach Spoe and Pat Riley's design, that's what that was his best year, 2013.
- 1:15:41SPEAKER_00: He moved on from that.
- 1:15:42SPEAKER_00: He wants to be a ball handler again.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna be a big behind point guard and try to be better than Magic Johnson, and he's never had that level of success and efficiency since.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_02: He has had to do it at the end of the day, like I said.
- 1:15:55SPEAKER_00: Like I said, coach Phil Jackson, hold on.
- 1:15:57SPEAKER_00: Phil Jackson was not a Hall of Fame coach before he got with Michael Jordan in them.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_00: Like we were not looking at, oh, it's a Hall of Fame Famer right here.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_00: No, we were except for playing in Port coaching in Puerto Rico in certain places, and after that, it was a rap.
- 1:16:10SPEAKER_00: You took a good coach and you took a great play and put them together.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_00: Legend.
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_02: Think about it, man.
- 1:16:15SPEAKER_02: Come on, I'm making a good play.
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_02: Phil Jackson has more rings than Michael Jordan.
- 1:16:20SPEAKER_02: That just goes to show you that his shit works without Michael Jordan.
- 1:16:25SPEAKER_02: Michael Jordan has zero without him.
- 1:16:30SPEAKER_00: Second, you know he got 17 watered down poor man's Michael Jordan.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_00: Are you kidding me, son?
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I understand that.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_02: But how many rings did Kobe win without him?
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_02: Yo, like Yeah, that's a fact.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_02: Huh?
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_02: Kobe didn't win without Phil Jackson either.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_00: I thought you were talking about Jordan.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_02: I'm just letting you know that these guys don't win without Phil Jackson.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_02: Michael Jordan retired because Phil Jackson wasn't gonna coach him no more.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_02: What does that mean to you?
- 1:16:56SPEAKER_00: Yo, because he he built that relationship with him, and there's nothing wrong with that.
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_00: LeBron doesn't have that relationship with any coach, so he's out here, he's out here three and nine or whatever the number is.
- 1:17:06SPEAKER_00: Something wild, three and six.
- 1:17:08SPEAKER_00: It's wild.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_00: Like what?
- 1:17:10SPEAKER_00: Hey, he even do Tyron Lou under the bus.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_02: I don't recall, but if you say so, I don't remember him doing that.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_02: But this is this ain't a LeBron podcast.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_02: I'll just ask y'all niggas how y'all felt about the NBA coming back.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_02: LeBron versus Jordan.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_01: Because LeBron is about to be foreign.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_00: There's no contest, but oh, that sounds great.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_00: Four and six.
- 1:17:39SPEAKER_02: How about the uh three rings with three different teams?
- 1:17:42SPEAKER_02: Three finals MVPs with three different teams.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_02: That's pretty cool.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_01: That's pretty good.
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_01: Sounds like some GOAT shit.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_01: What?
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_01: Say that say that again.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_01: Sounds like some GOAT shit to me.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_01: What'd you say, John?
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_01: Listen.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's um uh LeBron has a chance to have uh three championships and three finals MVPs with three different teams.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_02: GOAT shit.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_02: That's what's up.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_02: So does Kawhi.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_02: I was gonna say he does too.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_02: That's what makes it joke.
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_02: Dope season.
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_00: But look, Kawhi gets one, it's like, yo, I did it in less time and with less years of my prime, like in the world.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_00: And less points.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_00: That's a fact.
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_00: Yo, he's he's he's the weirdest NBA star we've ever seen.
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_00: Like, just does he even have 5,000 points?
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_00: Is he a star?
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_02: Is he a star?
- 1:18:31SPEAKER_02: Jim, uh I think um him and Andrew Wiggins have the same career points.
- 1:18:37SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 1:18:37SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_00: That doesn't sound like a star to me.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_00: See, that's why that's where stats are trash because it's like stats don't quantify how good you are.
- 1:18:45SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_00: He lost me.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_00: Listen, listen.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_00: It doesn't quantify how it doesn't quantify how great you are.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_00: Listen to this.
- 1:18:55SPEAKER_00: What he did last year with the Toronto NBA and say, yo, I just went on a team and won a chip.
- 1:19:02SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 1:19:03SPEAKER_00: How, son?
- 1:19:04SPEAKER_00: How?
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_00: That's a fact.
- 1:19:07SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, injuries are part of the game.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_00: How does that happen?
- 1:19:12SPEAKER_00: I just want on a team outside to win.
- 1:19:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, do tell.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_00: I want to hear this.
- 1:19:18SPEAKER_02: No, just it happens in ever almost every season.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_00: All right, so all right, so let's talk.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about this.
- 1:19:24SPEAKER_00: What about the road to the finals?
- 1:19:25SPEAKER_00: Who do you have to go through?
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_02: Oh, he went through a lot of good teams.
- 1:19:30SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 1:19:31SPEAKER_00: He went against the 76ers.
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_00: He went through the Bucks.
- 1:19:36SPEAKER_00: Was it the Pacers?
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, no, no, no.
- 1:19:38SPEAKER_01: He didn't go through the Pacers.
- 1:19:39SPEAKER_01: Um, Magic.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_01: Oh no, he did go.
- 1:19:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because they lost game one to the Magics.
- 1:19:44SPEAKER_00: That was a decent young team, actually.
- 1:19:46SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, now I think about it.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_02: I mean, all of those teams are kind of young to me.
- 1:19:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, they young?
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_00: We talk about we're talking about MB.
- 1:19:53SPEAKER_00: No, he's kind of young.
- 1:19:54SPEAKER_00: But he still had to go against the Greek Freak and beat him.
- 1:19:56SPEAKER_00: No, no, I agree.
- 1:19:57SPEAKER_00: Legendary, legendary manners, bro.
- 1:19:59SPEAKER_00: That last shot against the 76ers was crazy.
- 1:20:02SPEAKER_01: Nah, they they definitely he definitely willed his way to the finals.
- 1:20:06SPEAKER_01: So I cannot.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_01: I've seen LeBron do it too.
- 1:20:10SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:20:13SPEAKER_01: Godfrey, what are you doing?
- 1:20:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we've seen him.
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_00: He didn't have to go through the 76ers and and uh Milwaukee to get there.
- 1:20:20SPEAKER_00: He didn't have to go against the Greek freak to get there, bro.
- 1:20:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but he also didn't have a great supported cast either.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_00: Have they ever met up in a series actually?
- 1:20:28SPEAKER_00: Now I think LeBron and uh Kawhi.
- 1:20:30SPEAKER_00: I mean LeBron and Giannis?
- 1:20:32SPEAKER_00: Giannis, LeBron and and um the 76ers.
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_00: He dipped at the right time.
- 1:20:38SPEAKER_00: He left the East at the right time, bro.
- 1:20:39SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna tell you that much.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_02: I don't like that narrative, bro.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_00: No, no, think about look at the East now.
- 1:20:44SPEAKER_00: Name the best teams in the East right now, son.
- 1:20:45SPEAKER_00: And name their top players.
- 1:20:47SPEAKER_02: Go ahead.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_02: Um you got, like you said, the 76ers, you got Joel Embiid, uh, you got Ben Simmons.
- 1:20:54SPEAKER_00: The Nets, you got the Miami Heat.
- 1:20:57SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, the East is stacked right now, son.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_02: Not more stacked than the West, though.
- 1:21:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, come on, man.
- 1:21:02SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, let's talk about it.
- 1:21:04SPEAKER_00: Have that debate real quick.
- 1:21:05SPEAKER_00: Have that debate real quick.
- 1:21:06SPEAKER_00: So, what do you who do you have in the West?
- 1:21:08SPEAKER_00: And then let's talk about who we have in the East.
- 1:21:10SPEAKER_00: I want to talk about overall, who has a better like group of top-tier players?
- 1:21:15SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:21:16SPEAKER_00: That's the West.
- 1:21:17SPEAKER_00: Go ahead, name them though.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_00: Give me the give me the give me like the top the top five.
- 1:21:21SPEAKER_02: First of all, you got Westbrook and Harden on the same team.
- 1:21:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you got Kawhi and Paul George on the same team.
- 1:21:25SPEAKER_02: I think Paul George is a bum, but that's that's another conversation.
- 1:21:27SPEAKER_02: You're bugging, but okay.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_02: He's not focused.
- 1:21:30SPEAKER_02: That's the problem.
- 1:21:32SPEAKER_00: Braun, Anthony Davis, Steph Curry, Clay.
- 1:21:35SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:21:36SPEAKER_02: And then you got the younger guys coming up too.
- 1:21:39SPEAKER_02: So you got Luca.
- 1:21:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, I forgot.
- 1:21:41SPEAKER_02: Of course, I forgot about Jokic and his squad.
- 1:21:43SPEAKER_02: But I was I was gonna mention Luca Luca Porzingis with Carlisle as their coach.
- 1:21:47SPEAKER_02: Donovan De Mitchell.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_02: You got that, yeah, that's that team is amazing too.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_02: I just think that the West has more star power than the East.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_00: Damian Lillard, too.
- 1:21:55SPEAKER_00: You might be right, actually.
- 1:21:56SPEAKER_00: But in terms of uh overall better teams, I think that the East has a more you have a gauntlet to go through, though.
- 1:22:02SPEAKER_00: You're talking about Giannis, he is an MVP level player.
- 1:22:05SPEAKER_00: You have yourself uh what's his cast name?
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_00: Embiid.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_00: Who can't stay healthy.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_00: And I could I could agree with uh I personally would trade him.
- 1:22:17SPEAKER_01: I would uh only thing I would agree with Godfrey on is in the east, LeBron will have to guard a lot more of those players.
- 1:22:23SPEAKER_01: On the west, he doesn't have to guard the E and Yeah that's true.
- 1:22:28SPEAKER_01: Good point.
- 1:22:28SPEAKER_01: Good point.
- 1:22:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he definitely would have to guard Ben Simmons and KD and Yeah, no, no, that's definitely true.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_02: But I feel like LeBron's been there, done that.
- 1:22:37SPEAKER_00: Nah, not not again Gion is in the seven games, or Ben Simmons in seven games, or KD in seven games before you even get to the finals.
- 1:22:47SPEAKER_00: Nah, he was having trouble with Jason Tatum.
- 1:22:51SPEAKER_00: I mean how you define it.
- 1:22:54SPEAKER_01: That was a spread out Celtics team, though.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_01: Nah, he shouldn't be getting dunked on the rookies, bro.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_01: That's a nah.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_01: That was a lot of fun.
- 1:23:00SPEAKER_01: Come on, man.
- 1:23:01SPEAKER_00: LeBron's little brother should not be dunking on you.
- 1:23:04SPEAKER_02: What LeBron's playing defense, man.
- 1:23:06SPEAKER_02: That's what happens when you play defense.
- 1:23:07SPEAKER_00: LeBron does not play defense.
- 1:23:08SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 1:23:09SPEAKER_00: Now he got dunked on.
- 1:23:10SPEAKER_02: He got dunked on by Jason Tatum.
- 1:23:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because he was playing defense.
- 1:23:14SPEAKER_00: No, he wasn't.
- 1:23:15SPEAKER_00: He should have blocked that.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_00: That's why block everything, right?
- 1:23:21SPEAKER_02: They see him block Draymond Green one time.
- 1:23:23SPEAKER_02: I didn't want to block everything.
- 1:23:26SPEAKER_01: Oh man.
- 1:23:27SPEAKER_01: Block everything.
- 1:23:29SPEAKER_00: My theory on Tiago Splitter.
- 1:23:32SPEAKER_00: That was one of the greatest blocks of all time.
- 1:23:34SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 1:23:36SPEAKER_02: It was a great block.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_01: But my theory is, Godfrey, is that like children?
- 1:23:40SPEAKER_01: Your children are going to ask you about this great man, LeBron James, when they see his name on all the stats, like top 10, like rebounding and scoring and assists.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_01: And you're going to sit there and you're not going to be able to say anything great about him because you spent all this time hating.
- 1:23:58SPEAKER_00: No, bro.
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_00: You're not understanding.
- 1:24:01SPEAKER_00: Y'all are not looking at it in context.
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_00: Once again, like think about it, son.
- 1:24:05SPEAKER_00: If LeBron is so great, which he is, he's phenomenal.
- 1:24:07SPEAKER_00: But y'all put him up like top five.
- 1:24:10SPEAKER_00: That's a lot.
- 1:24:11SPEAKER_00: Because you have to consider that during his reign, his 10-year reign, right?
- 1:24:15SPEAKER_00: I've given 2010, 2020 is his prime, right?
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_00: Let's say that.
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_00: Yo, he's let other teams eat with his watch.
- 1:24:19SPEAKER_00: And one of them is the Dallas Mavericks.
- 1:24:21SPEAKER_00: Are you kidding me, son?
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_00: Nah, bro.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_00: That should not happen.
- 1:24:25SPEAKER_00: Dirk got one on LeBron.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_00: That I never did.
- 1:24:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he got one on Kobe, too.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_02: Y'all leaving a lot of people out, bro.
- 1:24:32SPEAKER_02: He got swept by that team.
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_02: That's fine.
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_02: And Durant lost to them too.
- 1:24:37SPEAKER_02: And the Spurs lost to them too.
- 1:24:41SPEAKER_00: He was 22 years old.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_02: Don't matter.
- 1:24:43SPEAKER_02: These people lost.
- 1:24:44SPEAKER_02: So what was Kobe's excuse?
- 1:24:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, keep that same energy.
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 1:24:49SPEAKER_00: This is chess.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_01: Nah, co-op.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_01: Like he beat Kobe.
- 1:24:51SPEAKER_01: Cool.
- 1:24:52SPEAKER_01: That's not just chess.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_01: Swept him.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_01: He swept him in the first round.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_00: Because what I was gonna blow was all right, yeah.
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_00: LeBron got swept before in the finals.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_00: He got swept before anytime.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_02: LeBron never got swept in the first round.
- 1:25:08SPEAKER_00: You know who's never got swept?
- 1:25:09SPEAKER_00: You know who's never got swept?
- 1:25:11SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 1:25:11SPEAKER_00: Jordan?
- 1:25:12SPEAKER_00: He got swept, actually.
- 1:25:13SPEAKER_00: I was about to say, I couldn't.
- 1:25:15SPEAKER_00: Nah, he got swept by Boston.
- 1:25:17SPEAKER_00: He dropped 55 on them.
- 1:25:18SPEAKER_00: Like he was gone anyway.
- 1:25:20SPEAKER_02: It's always a butt when he gets beat, right?
- 1:25:22SPEAKER_00: I really missed my point, man.
- 1:25:24SPEAKER_00: It's not a but.
- 1:25:25SPEAKER_00: Like he hasn't lost any finals.
- 1:25:27SPEAKER_00: Like, what are you talking about?
- 1:25:28SPEAKER_00: That's a missing.
- 1:25:29SPEAKER_00: Like I'm trying, I'm trying to say that's there's no debate between LeBron and Jordan.
- 1:25:35SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not here for that.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_00: My point is like when y'all try to bring Jordan down to bring LeBron up, don't do that.
- 1:25:40SPEAKER_00: Just like let LeBron finish his career.
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_00: We'll see where he's at.
- 1:25:43SPEAKER_00: And it is what it is.
- 1:25:46SPEAKER_02: My biggest argument against Jump Man is that the competition that he played against was not the same.
- 1:25:54SPEAKER_00: Mark Price.
- 1:25:56SPEAKER_00: You want to know why?
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_00: Because they lost.
- 1:25:58SPEAKER_00: If they had one, we'd be like, yo, that team, that that that Drexler team was one of the greatest teams because they were the only teams that beat Jordan.
- 1:26:05SPEAKER_00: But we can't say that because he clapped everybody.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_00: You gotta remember.
- 1:26:09SPEAKER_00: Yo, you gotta remember, even that that Utah Jazz team, bro, like they were 60-win team both years ago.
- 1:26:13SPEAKER_00: No, the Jazz were great.
- 1:26:14SPEAKER_00: They came back harder.
- 1:26:16SPEAKER_00: And Jordan was old and he beat them.
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_02: No, the Jazz were great.
- 1:26:19SPEAKER_02: I give the Jazz were a legitimate champion.
- 1:26:22SPEAKER_02: No, they're all legitimate championships.
- 1:26:23SPEAKER_02: But the Jazz, they were a team that if anybody uh beat or lost to them, they that team is a great team.
- 1:26:30SPEAKER_02: But come on, bro.
- 1:26:31SPEAKER_02: That the Ultra Blazers team.
- 1:26:34SPEAKER_00: Bro, they still had to go to the West.
- 1:26:36SPEAKER_00: They had to go through the West.
- 1:26:37SPEAKER_00: And I always do this, I say this.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_00: You gotta remember, like, they were a young, a young, young Drexler in um Blazers team.
- 1:26:44SPEAKER_00: It's the same thing as if, not the same exact thing, but the same thing as when LeBron beat up on a 23-year-old KD and a 20-year-old.
- 1:26:51SPEAKER_02: No, no, because Drexler is clearly not a generational talent.
- 1:26:55SPEAKER_02: He's not Drexler is not better than Ola Depot.
- 1:26:58SPEAKER_02: He has no rings to speak for he was doing something.
- 1:27:01SPEAKER_02: No, remove the rings.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_02: That's the problem.
- 1:27:14SPEAKER_02: He wasn't a generational talent.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_02: He was not a Drexler's not a generational talent.
- 1:27:17SPEAKER_02: Kevin Drake, so you have generational talent.
- 1:27:19SPEAKER_00: Hold on, but you have to also understand that during that time, Jordan was actually revolutionizing the shooting guard position.
- 1:27:25SPEAKER_00: So Drexler was one of those rare players who was like, oh yeah, he's doing that.
- 1:27:29SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 1:27:30SPEAKER_00: Like, so it's it's something you have to understand.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_00: Like the shooting guard was not allowed to do what Jordan was doing.
- 1:27:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Jordan didn't have to guard anybody because Scottie Pippen bought it.
- 1:27:39SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, he would pick up the hardest assignments, like he would take the ball.
- 1:27:42SPEAKER_02: Look in the finals.
- 1:27:43SPEAKER_02: Look when they played against uh the Lakers.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_02: That's another championship that I give them.
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_02: That's a hard far championship.
- 1:27:48SPEAKER_02: But Magic Johnson was old, dog, and he Jordan couldn't even guard him.
- 1:27:53SPEAKER_02: Prime, prime Michael Jordan, yo, prime Michael Jordan could not guard old man.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_02: That's not true, bro.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_02: Magic Johnson.
- 1:28:01SPEAKER_02: That's literally how it went down, bro.
- 1:28:03SPEAKER_00: You have to show me visual proof.
- 1:28:05SPEAKER_02: Watch the documentary.
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_02: I'll send you the episode.
- 1:28:08SPEAKER_02: They had to put Scottie Pippen on him after game one, because Magic Johnson was busting Jordan's ass.
- 1:28:13SPEAKER_02: They had to put Scotty on him.
- 1:28:14SPEAKER_02: And once they put Scotty on him, they did not win another game in that series.
- 1:28:17SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing, though.
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_00: Even if that's true, even if it is, because I could be wrong about that.
- 1:28:21SPEAKER_00: I just don't I don't remember seeing it.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_00: But let me tell you this.
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_00: Even if it's true, it's not like it's a random guy.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_00: That's Magic Johnson, by the way.
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_00: Let's not act like some other player.
- 1:28:31SPEAKER_00: Like Magic Johnson's top five.
- 1:28:33SPEAKER_00: He doesn't get enough respect, honestly.
- 1:28:35SPEAKER_02: I used to think that Magic Johnson was better than Jordan.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_02: I used to jack that.
- 1:28:40SPEAKER_02: That's a good debate.
- 1:28:45SPEAKER_00: I think Maddie Johnson is better than LeBron, honestly.
- 1:28:47SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 1:28:48SPEAKER_00: He's not.
- 1:28:49SPEAKER_00: I think he is.
- 1:28:50SPEAKER_00: He's nice.
- 1:28:50SPEAKER_00: Bro, y'all talk about showing up to the to the finals.
- 1:28:53SPEAKER_00: Like, this dude has five rings and like showed up like eight times too.
- 1:28:56SPEAKER_00: Like, what are you talking about?
- 1:28:56SPEAKER_02: No, no, yeah, he did.
- 1:28:57SPEAKER_02: But he also had Kareem Abdul Jabbar, my nigga.
- 1:29:00SPEAKER_02: Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
- 1:29:04SPEAKER_02: Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
- 1:29:07SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_01: So when all right, so do you want to.
- 1:29:09SPEAKER_01: Kyrie and Kevin Durant.
- 1:29:11SPEAKER_01: I mean Kevin Love don't mean nothing.
- 1:29:14SPEAKER_01: Who was the point guard on that team when it was Bosch and D.
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_01: Wade?
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_01: One year.
- 1:29:18SPEAKER_00: It was LeBron James.
- 1:29:19SPEAKER_01: It was Carlos Arroyo.
- 1:29:20SPEAKER_01: We had Carlos Arroyo and Eddie, Eddie Curry.
- 1:29:23SPEAKER_00: No, you had Mario Chalmers and Norse Cole.
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_01: I'm talking about I'm talking about the year when we lost to the Mavs.
- 1:29:29SPEAKER_01: We had Bibby.
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_01: We had Arroyo.
- 1:29:34SPEAKER_00: So because of that, you lost to the Mavericks, who had JJ Berea and Jason Kidd as their point guards.
- 1:29:41SPEAKER_00: Not that Jason Kidd was.
- 1:29:43SPEAKER_00: But still, like that's not an excuse.
- 1:29:47SPEAKER_00: No, he was like 26.
- 1:29:48SPEAKER_01: See, this is why I think coaching comes into play.
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_01: Because a coach is going to get those guys that I'm laughing at, like that they was on the team and get them involved.
- 1:29:59SPEAKER_01: Like how Rick Carlisle got JJ Barrera involved.
- 1:30:02SPEAKER_01: Or how Jason Kidd was able to, you know, use his uh his wisdom, because he's a veteran, to, you know, help get a championship.
- 1:30:12SPEAKER_00: That's a fact, but I can't, I can't, I can get them involved, but I can't make LeBron score more than eight points.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_00: Like LeBron did that.
- 1:30:19SPEAKER_01: LeBron said the bad eight points.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_01: The finals.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_01: That definitely, that definitely.
- 1:30:25SPEAKER_01: So that's wild.
- 1:30:28SPEAKER_01: Like, what are you talking about?
- 1:30:30SPEAKER_02: No, you're right, you're right.
- 1:30:31SPEAKER_02: That that finals is unexcusable.
- 1:30:32SPEAKER_02: But Magic Johnson had one like that too.
- 1:30:34SPEAKER_02: Tragic Johnson.
- 1:30:35SPEAKER_02: Forget about that.
- 1:30:36SPEAKER_02: It happens.
- 1:30:37SPEAKER_02: It didn't happen to Jordan, though.
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_02: You know why it didn't happen to Jordan?
- 1:30:40SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 1:30:41SPEAKER_02: Because he had a great supporting cast, he had mental toughness, he had a great coach.
- 1:30:46SPEAKER_00: Jordan was that dude from day one, bro.
- 1:30:48SPEAKER_00: He was hitting the shit.
- 1:30:50SPEAKER_02: I said he had mental toughness.
- 1:30:51SPEAKER_02: I didn't say that.
- 1:30:52SPEAKER_02: You didn't hear that part?
- 1:30:52SPEAKER_00: I'm just making sure you know.
- 1:30:54SPEAKER_02: That was my second point.
- 1:30:55SPEAKER_02: I can't take that away from jump man.
- 1:30:57SPEAKER_00: And by the way, Magic Johnson, the reason why he had that tragedy Johnson, because the AIDS was kicking in, bro.
- 1:31:01SPEAKER_00: Like, come on.
- 1:31:02SPEAKER_02: No, that was way before the AIDS.
- 1:31:12SPEAKER_01: My theory is that he doesn't really even have uh AIDS.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_00: That uh they paid him to be a spokesman.
- 1:31:19SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 1:31:20SPEAKER_00: He had AIDS.
- 1:31:21SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna send you this, I'm gonna send you this link, bro, um, this weekend.
- 1:31:24SPEAKER_00: It's a link that takes you directly to a page that shows you that they have a complete cure for AIDS.
- 1:31:29SPEAKER_00: It's a government site, matter of fact.
- 1:31:31SPEAKER_00: There's a there's a there's a complete cure for AIDS.
- 1:31:35SPEAKER_02: Don't send it to me.
- 1:31:36SPEAKER_02: Don't send it to me because you know what's gonna happen, bro.
- 1:31:38SPEAKER_02: They're gonna start killing niggas.
- 1:31:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm not trying to die over that.
- 1:31:41SPEAKER_02: I'd rather die over something else.
- 1:31:43SPEAKER_01: That has to be a cure because it's an immune uh it's an immune uh disorder or disease.
- 1:31:50SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:31:51SPEAKER_01: That that is curable.
- 1:31:53SPEAKER_00: If your immunity can be re can be repaired and rebuilt, absolutely so Dr.
- 1:31:57SPEAKER_00: Sevy's the one who actually put um Maggie Johnson on.
- 1:32:00SPEAKER_00: That's the legend, at least.
- 1:32:01SPEAKER_00: Like he he met with Dr.
- 1:32:02SPEAKER_00: Sebi and got cured.
- 1:32:03SPEAKER_02: I could told him.
- 1:32:05SPEAKER_02: Um on another podcast, um, God willing, we're gonna debate uh Dr.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_02: Seppi.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:32:16SPEAKER_02: I'm not trying to shit on him, bro.
- 1:32:18SPEAKER_00: Yo, don't do that.
- 1:32:19SPEAKER_00: He's from Honduras, bro.
- 1:32:20SPEAKER_00: My people from Honduras.
- 1:32:20SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:32:21SPEAKER_02: I I I jack I jacked Dr.
- 1:32:23SPEAKER_02: Seppi to an extent.
- 1:32:25SPEAKER_02: But we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna talk about him a little bit.
- 1:32:27SPEAKER_02: We're gonna we're gonna get into that a little bit.
- 1:32:29SPEAKER_02: Because I know you're very knowledgeable on nutrition.
- 1:32:31unknown: Yeah.
- 1:32:32SPEAKER_02: I know you are very knowledgeable.
- 1:32:33SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna talk about it.
- 1:32:36SPEAKER_02: I think I think we we gave we gave our uh fans a lot of the shit to digest for today.
- 1:32:41SPEAKER_02: Um this podcast took like what four weeks in the making.
- 1:32:45SPEAKER_02: Let's just you know tighten up and actually not take four weeks to do an episode, and maybe we can get some quality content out there.
- 1:32:53SPEAKER_00: I'll I will say that I did uh I did Flake, that was because of work.
- 1:32:58SPEAKER_00: But other than that, I was always ready.
- 1:32:59SPEAKER_00: That was one thing.
- 1:33:00SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 1:33:01SPEAKER_02: Godfrey wanted to record in his uniform.
- 1:33:03SPEAKER_02: I remember.
- 1:33:04SPEAKER_00: I was ready.
- 1:33:05SPEAKER_00: Everyone, everyone, everyone gets one eight-point game.
- 1:33:08SPEAKER_00: After that, no more excuses.
