  And before we get into some of what we wanted to talk about, that's what I wanted to start

  with.

  Because since 2020, I think a lot of people's eyes were open after what happened with
• 1:40
  COVID, after what happened with the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation riots
• 1:44
  that were China-driven, Marxist-driven, funded by the left.
• 1:47
  And Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minneapolis blew up literally.
• 1:52
  And you've got a governor there that presided over that.
• 1:54
  They'd encouraged the riots and the chaos.
• 1:59
  And now he's Kamala Harris's VP, Tim Walls.
• 2:02
  So I know this wasn't the topic today, but just give us a little bit of a rundown about
• 2:08
  what you're sensing with.
• 2:10
  You know the governor better than most of us do because you're right there.
• 2:14
  So go ahead, Mark.

  Share.

  Well, you know the things that God has destroyed nations for over the years are the things
• 2:19
  that are that platform of Tim Walls.
• 2:22
  And I wish him no ill will, I pray for his salvation, but he's totally against freedom
• 2:29
  of speech.
• 2:30
  He's totally against us worshiping God.
• 2:32
  He's totally against, and I mean, he can play all sorts of games and word games with that.
• 2:37
  But I was right in the middle of that.
• 2:38
  He shut down the churches, had the bars open, all of that.
• 2:41
  And quite honestly, there was a lawsuit filed against him in federal court.
• 2:46
  And that's what pushed him to open up the churches.
• 2:48
  It isn't really talked about much.
• 2:50
  And I don't know if there's the right time to talk about that.
• 2:53
  But the bottom line is this, we need to pray that he does not become the, we need to pray
• 3:02
  that he doesn't succeed in this election because it is totally detrimental to the well-being
• 3:08
  of America.
• 3:09
  And again, you know, God judges nations when they're not pro-life, when they're not pro-Israel,
• 3:14
  when they're not pro-justice.
• 3:18
  And justice means you punish, the purpose of government, human government is the punishment
• 3:21
  of evil doers in the praise of those who do right.
• 3:24
  And actually, it's supposed to put the fear of God, according to Romans 13, it's supposed
• 3:28
  put the fear of God in them so that they don't do evil.
• 3:31
  And our governor has done exactly the opposite.
• 3:34
  He put the fear of government into Godly people, the righteous people, into just people.
• 3:42
  Quite honestly, unleashed a host of people who did nothing but terrorize the city and burn
• 3:48
  it down.
• 3:49
  Well, we're going to talk about that.
• 3:50
  Kamala Harris was bailing out felons, rioters, I mean, violent felons with the Minneapolis
• 3:59
  Freedom Fund or something it was called at that time four years ago.
• 4:03
  We know, we can, we can judge them by their fruit.
• 4:06
  We know exactly what they stand on.
• 4:08
  We know their policies, those who were even moderately informed.
• 4:12
  It's very clear, they're not hiding it anymore.
• 4:14
  In a minute, we're going to talk about the fall of the republic, but one more thing about
• 4:17
  him and Kamala, I had this thing I shared about a week ago, Tim Walsh says, there's no
• 4:22
  guarantee to free speech.
• 4:25
  He said that and he wants government to, quote, push back on hate speech.
• 4:31
  Mark Henry, how do you define hate speech?
• 4:33
  We know how they, what they think hate speech is, anything probably that supports the biblical
• 4:38
  worldview and about Jesus' salvation, marriage between one man and one woman.
• 4:43
  Go ahead and share your thoughts on that because that's chilling to hear someone at that
• 4:47
  level.
• 4:48
  And now what he's being considered, you know, VP, it's really kind of scary.
• 4:52
  We know how half the country's going to vote, which is even more scary.
• 4:55
  Go ahead.
• 4:56
  Yeah, it's a heartbreak because you think about America was based on a Judeo-Christian
• 5:00
  worldview.
• 5:01
  He does not hold a Judeo-Christian worldview.
• 5:03
  He's serving the military for 24 years and he's very proud of that.
• 5:06
  And he take an oath to support the Constitution and protect the Constitution from both foreign
• 5:11
  and domestic threats.
• 5:13
  And when he got up and said that, he is a domestic threat to the Constitution of the United
• 5:17
  States.
• 5:19
  And, you know, someone, I don't understand how come my friends are not seeing this so
• 5:24
  clearly.
• 5:25
  It is so obvious.
• 5:26
  It is so dangerous.
• 5:27
  It is so detrimental.
• 5:28
  And from a Christian worldview, he supports everything that's the opposite of what we
• 5:34
  believe and teach.
• 5:35
  And the threat is real.
• 5:36
  I mean, I was anticipating being thrown in jail by him when he was governor as we were
• 5:43
  going through all of that just because we weren't going to be silent.
• 5:46
  We were going to say, this is good.
• 5:47
  This is evil.
• 5:48
  There's a God in heaven.
• 5:49
  We have to give him account to God.
• 5:51
  And it wasn't popular.
• 5:52
  It's only the grace of God that we navigated as well as we did.
• 5:56
  So Mark, you wanted to talk about what you shared on a cruise recently with some other
• 6:01
  great men of God.
• 6:02
  My goodness.
• 6:03
  It was it.
• 6:04
  First of all, tell us about the cruise and then we'll talk about the fall of the Republic
• 6:07
  and some of the things you wanted to share.
• 6:09
  Yeah.
• 6:10
  So we just had a great cruise with Prophecy Watchers.
• 6:12
  Tom Hughes was there, Billy Crone, Mando Gonzalez, of course, and some others.
• 6:18
  And we just had a great time, a fellowship and studying the scriptures together and, you
• 6:23
  know, yeah, it was just great blessing.
• 6:26
  So I wanted you to share a little bit about what you talked about your message there,
• 6:31
  the fall of the Republic in the first half of the podcast year.
• 6:33
  Go ahead and archaea.
• 6:34
  That's a lapse.
• 6:35
  Go ahead.
• 6:36
  Yeah.
• 6:37
  So, you know, the Prophecy Conference emphasis is about different things that the Bible predicts
• 6:42
  are going to take place.
• 6:43
  And one of the things that you look to the scriptures is that God talks about future nations
• 6:46
  and we're anticipating the revival of the Roman Empire in the last days as we go into
• 6:51
  the into the tribulation period.
• 6:55
  And so one of the things when I trusted Christ, David, I was blown away that America was
• 6:59
  not, you know, first and foremost in there.
• 7:02
  And then you see scriptures in the last days, how Israel is going to stand alone in the
• 7:05
  battle of God and May God.
• 7:06
  It's only God that's going to come to their rescue.
• 7:09
  And I was just blown away because I mean, I had grown up in a very patriotic family.
• 7:13
  My dad commenced suicide when I was five.
• 7:14
  I was adopted and abandoned.
• 7:15
  My grandfather raised me.
• 7:17
  He had served in World War II.
• 7:18
  I was raised by all these really amazing guys who had been at evil jima and side pan and
• 7:22
  Guadalcanal.
• 7:23
  And these were my heroes and I looked up to them and they loved America.
• 7:29
  And they sacrificed for America and they varied their brothers in battle.
• 7:33
  And so my goal growing up was to go to West Point and then serve 30 years in the military
• 7:38
  and be the president of the United States because the Constitution America is the best place
• 7:43
  on the, it would just been a gift from God to really through history.
• 7:47
  And so I told Mondo, he kind of asked, you know, what I like to speak on.
• 7:51
  I like to talk about, on the cruise about America and the danger, the decline that's
• 7:56
  going to take place because America is not in Bible prophecy, as least as I understand it.
• 8:02
  Yes, I agree with that.
• 8:04
  Sadly, we're heading that way too quicker than what most of us want or would like to see
• 8:09
  because we want to get people saved in America before we lose our freedoms and things like
• 8:13
  that. But you mentioned seven key things in history that lead to the fall of a superpower.
• 8:18
  Before we get to that, I think you mentioned Dwight D Eisenhower.
• 8:22
  So go ahead and walk us through those points.
• 8:24
  Yeah, so there's seven that secular people point out as you study history.
• 8:28
  Number one is this, it comes from Eisenhower, January 17, 1961, his last day in office as president.
• 8:37
  And he simply said, it's an amazing speech.
• 8:39
  He said, the greatest danger we're facing in America is a shadow government.
• 8:43
  He said, the first time in history, we have 3.5 million people now working in the aerospace
• 8:48
  industry building superplanes and atomic weapons and so forth.
• 8:53
  And he said, they're going to have so much power and so much money and so much intellectual
• 8:58
  power that that's going to be a danger.
• 9:00
  And I would suggest you that's the exact danger we have with big tech.
• 9:03
  It's the danger we have with the pharmaceutical companies that when these companies have more
• 9:09
  wealth than the country does, it's easy for them to start dictating what's going to take
• 9:14
  place, buying what they want and be in a shadow government.
• 9:17
  And that was his warning in 1961.
• 9:18
  And I think it's a big threat today.
• 9:20
  Wow.
• 9:21
  When you think about what's happening behind the scenes, the deep state, we think about how we
• 9:25
  saw a man, Joe Biden, that was ahead of the country, but we knew he wasn't running
• 9:31
  things. We knew who are the powers behind him, right?
• 9:34
  They were running things.
• 9:36
  Yeah, that's so obvious.
• 9:38
  I mean, I mean, if you can't, you know, ride a bike, do anything other than eat ice
• 9:42
  cream, but I'm not trying to be disrespectful to the president of the United States.
• 9:45
  I'm just saying capacity matters and you're having to make hard decisions.
• 9:49
  I mean, we have the revive campus out in Minneapolis.
• 9:52
  We have a 412 campus here in Southern California.
• 9:54
  And it takes a lot of energy.
• 9:56
  You have to make hundreds of hundreds of decisions a week that are really significant
• 10:00
  and give trajectory.
• 10:01
  We're talking to the, we're talking to the world superpower, the United States of America
• 10:05
  and a shadow government has been running.
• 10:07
  I mean, I don't care what anybody says, a shadow government is some kind running things.
• 10:11
  It's obviously not Joe Biden.
• 10:13
  So you also mentioned five key reasons, God judges nations.
• 10:17
  I mean, I know you went in depth when you were on the cruise and your presentation on this.
• 10:21
  We've got just a few minutes.
• 10:23
  If you can walk us through those bullet points, please.
• 10:25
  Yeah.
• 10:25
  If you think through the Bible, I asked the question, why is, what is it that God judges
• 10:30
  nations for?
• 10:32
  And, and then what are the nations, for example, Syria was a world power.
• 10:36
  And because of their idolatry, God sent Jonah.
• 10:40
  That's the story that everyone knows.
• 10:41
  And he preaches and they repent and they survive.
• 10:45
  They're, they're not judged, but a hundred years later,
• 10:47
  nay home comes in preaches.
• 10:49
  And he says, because of your idolatry and because of your paganism, God's going to destroy your nation.
• 10:53
  They were the world superpower at that time.
• 10:55
  God sends a flood.
• 10:56
  So he uses natural catastrophe and literally wipes them out.
• 10:59
  So God's pro God, he gives against idols.
• 11:01
  And then he's, he's pro Israel.
• 11:03
  And we see the Edamites, for example, their wiped out.
• 11:07
  Obed said, because you did not care for your brother, Jacob, the Edamites who were their cousins, the extended brothers.
• 11:16
  God wiped them out in the last of the Edamites were killed in 70 AD in Jerusalem.
• 11:21
  God's pro marriage.
• 11:22
  We see that in Sodom and Gomorrah and how we held Sodom and Gomorrah accountable for their immorality and not preserving the nuclear family.
• 11:32
  We see God destroying Israel for not being pro life.
• 11:35
  If you remember in Second Kings 24, 4, it says there that that God was going to judge the nation of Judah, the Southern Kingdom.
• 11:44
  Because they're, they offer their children and the blood of their children cried from the ground.
• 11:48
  And so even Israel was not exempt from God's judgment.
• 11:50
  And then of course, justice being the last one, it says that violence filled the earth in Genesis chapter 6.
• 11:58
  And God was not going to put up with that level of violence and evil towards man.
• 12:03
  And that's why human government was instituted in Genesis 9 after the flood for the preservation of human life.
• 12:08
  So God destroys the whole world because of injustice.
• 12:11
  So justice is knowable because there's a God in heaven and there's good and evil.
• 12:14
  And God holds nations people accountable for that.
• 12:18
  So Mark, I see in the last column, their pro justice, God is just.
• 12:25
  And I wanted to ask you what you think about people putting social in front of the word justice, like social justice.
• 12:32
  Because the left, the demonically driven left and the Marxists, they would say, oh yeah, they're pro justice.
• 12:39
  How would you respond to that?
• 12:41
  Yeah, well, you know, Satan all through history has robbed or tried to steal different terms, right?
• 12:46
  And so I always use the illustration and theology we talk about.
• 12:50
  The Bible is inspired.
• 12:52
  Well, Satan came along and said, the liberal said, well, we believe it's inspired too.
• 12:56
  When you read it, whatever parts move you, it inspires you.
• 13:00
  No, we believe in verbal, plenary inspiration, every single word.
• 13:03
  So my point is simply this is Satan's always stealing words, justice is a good word.
• 13:07
  God is just and he's opposed to evil.
• 13:10
  He judges evil, he judges wickedness in order to know justice.
• 13:14
  And this is the problem, David.
• 13:15
  Proverbs tells us that it's impossible for the wicked to even know justice because they don't know God.
• 13:20
  Again, you can't, you can't say that there's a standard of justice when you don't know God.
• 13:25
  And God is the standard of justice because God is perfect.
• 13:27
  And so that's number one, you can't know justice without knowing God.
• 13:30
  Number two, when they say, yeah, we're, we're for social justice.
• 13:35
  Just think about that.
• 13:36
  God says, do not steal.
• 13:38
  So when somebody comes along and says, we're going to redistribute, you're working hard.
• 13:40
  We're going to redistribute your wealth and we're going to determine what the basis of that is.
• 13:44
  So that because other people deserve what you've worked for.
• 13:47
  Well, how much do they deserve when you work for it?
• 13:50
  Not them, you understand what I'm saying?
• 13:52
  That's actually called stealing in the Bible.
• 13:54
  It's unjust.
• 13:55
  It's, it's, it's the opposite.
• 13:56
  And so, you know, we just have to constantly be aware that Satan's always trying to steal words,
• 14:01
  steal ideas, and then warp them.
• 14:03
  And that's exactly what we see happen in America.
• 14:05
  The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy, right?
• 14:10

  and I had trusted Christ as my savior.

  And they would talk about, for example, Marines, you know,
• 16:19
  separate five, always faithful, but yet they were cheating on their wife.

  I thought, man, there's an inconsistency here.
• 16:25
  And I really didn't know how to live myself.
• 16:27
  So, I just started devouring the Bible and it's like,
• 16:29
  how does God want us to live as men?
• 16:31
  And realizing that God created them male and female.
• 16:33
  And so, God has a certain role for men.
• 16:35
  He's got a certain role for women.
• 16:36
  And so, you know, I'm devouring the scriptures.
• 16:38
  My kids come along, and I'm starting to categorize these things.
• 16:41
  And then my daughter, she turns about, I don't know, 10 years old,
• 16:45
  and I start taking her out for breakfast.
• 16:47
  And I said, look, Missy, you're going to end up marrying a man someday.
• 16:52
  And here are the things you need to look for.
• 16:54
  If you remember, Proverbs 31 is actually about ladies,
• 16:57
  but it's written to young men,
• 16:59
  this is the kind of woman you need to marry.
• 17:01
  An excellent wife who can find her worth as far above jewels.
• 17:03
  So, I would sit there with Missy and say, okay, number one,
• 17:06
  here's the first thing you got to be looking for.
• 17:08
  And so, she actually had 25 things on the list
• 17:10
  that we originally we had.
• 17:12
  We kind of boiled those down to 12.
• 17:14
  And then we drilled those into her.
• 17:16
  She married a great guy, great servant of God.
• 17:17
  In fact, he's been on with you.
• 17:19
  Josh Schwartz, Pastor Josh Schwartz, is her husband.
• 17:22
  And we love Josh.
• 17:23
  And I said, Miss, it's not only picking a good husband,
• 17:26
  it's also then helping him be a good husband.
• 17:29
  And then you're going to have sons someday.
• 17:31
  They have two.
• 17:31
  And you've got to help them be good husbands.
• 17:33
  And so, that was the catalyst for the book.
• 17:38
  So, I'm taking it that the man code is not just for men.
• 17:43
  I think women could benefit from reading about this.
• 17:45
  Share a little bit more about that.

  Who this book is?
• 17:48
  Yeah, actually, again, it was for my daughter.
• 17:50
  And what's been interesting, while guys have been greatly impacted
• 17:54
  and you wouldn't believe, I'm just blown away by the reports.

  I always call up God, it's your book, do whatever you want with it.
• 18:00
  And God's using it in crazy ways.
• 18:02
  But it's amazing how many ladies are reading it.
• 18:06
  And it's reshaping how they're raising their sons and so forth.
• 18:09
  We had a 21-year-old great gal.
• 18:11
  She was dating this guy for a couple of years.
• 18:13
  Goes to her dad and says, dad, I just broke up with my boyfriend.
• 18:17
  And he said, honey, why'd you do that?
• 18:19
  And she said, because he's not a man code man.
• 18:21
  He's a good guy.
• 18:22
  He's not a man code guy.
• 18:24
  And so the joy is, is that she read the man code.
• 18:28
  She just married a man code kind of guy.
• 18:30
  And it's just such a blessing to see them.
• 18:32
  Now they're expecting their first baby.
• 18:34
  So.
• 18:34
  Awesome.
• 18:35
  So, women obviously comprise two-thirds of most churches.
• 18:43
  And some would say be really good for a pastor.
• 18:46
  You could really reach more people or really focus on that.
• 18:49
  It's a larger group.
• 18:50
  So, the question would be why focus on men at this time?
• 18:55
  Yeah. Well, one of the things I always tell people is
• 18:58
  the pastor that trained me said, Mark, if you focus your ministry on men,
• 19:03
  you'll catch the whole family.
• 19:04
  If you do what most pastors do and focus on women,
• 19:07
  then you only catch half the family.
• 19:09
  Wow.
• 19:09
  And so after pastoring now for 38 years, I can tell you,
• 19:13
  when you come to our church, it's amazing.
• 19:15
  People come all the time.
• 19:16
  They're going like, I can't believe all the guys that are here.
• 19:18
  I can't believe all these men that are here.
• 19:20
  And so when we get new staff, we've moved to different churches and helped
• 19:25
  turn around churches or start new churches.
• 19:27
  One of the things I always have to kind of like reprogram everybody.
• 19:29
  We love ladies.
• 19:30
  And ladies, we want to minister to you.
• 19:32
  The very best thing I can do for you is help your sons to be good men
• 19:35
  and help your husbands to be good men.
• 19:37
  And for you single ladies, the very best thing I can do is help men
• 19:41
  be great servants of God so that you can marry them.
• 19:45
  And so to be honest with you, it's really about all the benefit for the ladies,
• 19:49
  but we're calling the men the act like men.
• 19:52
  God's giving them certain duties and responsibilities.
• 19:55
  And we call it the man code for a reason.
• 19:57
  John Wayne once said that every man needs a code to live by.
• 20:00
  And we found that to be true.
• 20:03
  So before we run out of time, I need to jump to chapter 10.
• 20:08
  Because in and it's real men train their children.
• 20:12
  And in America, in our modern day and age, a lot of that
• 20:17
  responsibilities for lack of a better word falls on the mom, the women.
• 20:21
  And sadly, men have not been standing in the gap for their kids,
• 20:26
  training them up in the way that they should go.
• 20:28
  And that's been a huge problem.
• 20:30
  And I'm sure you speak a lot about that in the chapter.
• 20:34
  Go ahead and share more about that in the importance of men
• 20:38
  raising and teaching their kids.
• 20:40
  Yeah, one of the great problems we have is because so much divorce right now,
• 20:43
  America ranks number one in divorce and the developed part of the world.
• 20:50
  And it's a tragedy.
• 20:52
  We're seeing it in every facet.
• 20:54
  I mean, if you're a school teacher, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
• 20:56
  How kids are, they don't follow instructions.
• 21:00
  They don't respect authority and so forth.
• 21:02
  And the role of men has to be there to instill that.
• 21:06
  You know, I tell every, every young couple, you're like,
• 21:08
  you're going to have a son eventually.
• 21:09
  He's going to be about four years old and he's going to try and take mom on.
• 21:12
  And that's when dad russles him down to the ground and says,
• 21:15
  look, you don't listen to your mom.
• 21:17
  You're going to deal with me.
• 21:19
  And there's some, there's a, there's a level of
• 21:22
  authority that comes with that.
• 21:23
  And it's a way God made us.

  Listen, you got to protect your daughters.

  One of the most important things.

  Missy, you know, became a teenager and she's in college and, you know,

  she's 16.

  She's in college and these guys are wanting to come and, and, and date and so forth.

  And, and the rule was is they had to ask me and then missy would kind of give me the heads up.

  You know, is this a good one or, you know, how she wanted me to kind of play it.

  But that's a level of protection.

  Real men protect others.

  You got to protect.

  You got to train and you got to model that.

  There's 12 things that I came up with that I think are really helpful.

  As we trained our three kids and now training our six grand sons.

  So now, yeah, protect in many, there are many ways to protect your children.

  But let's go back now to part, in part one, real men pursue biblical success.

  And I just find that interesting.

  You mentioned David's success and how do you spell success?

  And that's, I think that's important to get into because we've got the,

  what Hollywood tells us, what the entertainment industry tells us.

  We got even maybe prosperity gospel.

  You know, what different people tell us what success is.
• 22:26
  Go ahead and just give us a little teaser on that chapter and that on that topic.

  Yeah. So the very first point of the man code is real men pursue biblical success.

  The question is what is success?
• 22:36
  And if you listen to the world or you listen to your neighbors or you listen to your friends

  or you listen to Facebook or let's, you know, let's tweet out there a question.

  You know, what's success and help shape me?
• 22:45
  Well, we need to ask God what is success?

  And one day I walked in my daughter's bedroom and I'd, I'd

  preached through the book of Acts many times, but I'd never noticed the verse that she had

  written on her dry erase board. It was Acts 16 or Acts 1336.

  And it says, and David fulfilled his purpose, God's purpose for him and his generation.

  And that just hit me as like a my fulfilling God's purpose for me in this generation.

  And then really all the rest of these points flow from that real men possess focus ambition.

  God wants you to be focused. He wants you to accomplish certain things.

  He wants us to assume responsibility.
• 23:17
  He wants to exhibit godly character.
• 23:19
  He wants us to demonstrate consideration for others.
• 23:21
  He wants us to protect others.
• 23:22
  He wants us to work with diligence. He wants us to respect authority.

  He wants us to honor our lives, to train our children, not to abandon our families,
• 23:29
  to love the gospel and the church.
• 23:30
  So those 12 things kind of shape give shape to what biblical success is.

  I want to touch on the study questions.

  Tell us about that because that's important for people to kind of absorb and what they just
• 23:44
  process and what they just read.

  So is it, do you have study questions for each chapter or each section? How does that work?

  Yeah, one of the things that's always frustrated me is you read a great book and then you want to
• 23:54
  do a Bible study with it or lead a men's group and then you're trying to come up with questions.

  And so at the end of each section we've got a series of questions there to help guys as they're

  having Bible studies or even ladies as they're reading with their sons or with their daughters.

  We encourage moms to do that because it's really important.

  Listen, every wife is either helping her husband become the man God is calling to be or she's not.

  And that's why these 12 points are equally important for her.

  conglomerate and that's who controls everything. But we'll speak and use whatever outlets we have,

  well, we have a voice and well, we can. I think that's, I pretty much got through the questions I

  wanted to get through. I knew we had a limited amount of time, but I'm so glad we started off by

  talking about, you know, just with a fall of nations and what God judges and then the second part,

  just talking about the importance of men stepping up in their responsibilities because we've got

  a lot in the church. We've got a lot of work to do when it comes to teaching men what is biblical
• 26:08
  manhood and from the Bible perspective. In the last minute or so, Mark, your final thoughts and

  encouragement to men and women? Yeah, I would just say America is living in a dangerous period of time.

  And the most important thing we do is, is trust the Lord Jesus Christ and walk with him on our
• 26:24
  God as we should. And really, that's what the man codes about. What kind of people we're going to
• 26:28
  be in these last days? Will we be those who are courageous? Will we be like Daniel? Will we be like
• 26:33
  Nehemiah? Will we be like like David's mighty men? And those are the kind of people we need to be
• 26:38
  and those are the kind of sons we need to have. And those are the kind of men we want our daughters to
• 26:43
  marry. So I just think we're living an amazing period of history. God's chosen you for this time.
