- 1:02SPEAKER_02: And we are so, I'm gonna say hashtag blessed to have Ms.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: Originator with us, who is someone that I had the pleasure of meeting at a very fun event.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: Um, and we connected kind of right away and had formed a friendship ever since.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: So I wanted to have her on the podcast, and guess what?
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: She happens to be the founder, creator of her very own podcast called Ms.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: O in the mix.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: So this is a full-blown in the spirit of our theme this month: Collaboration over competition, straight up podcast collab.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: So it could not have gone any better.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: I want to introduce her.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: She is amazing.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: You guys are going to absolutely love her.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Ms.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: O, would you please introduce yourself to our listeners?
- 1:48SPEAKER_04: Well, hello, everyone, and thank you for having me on.
- 1:51SPEAKER_04: I'm I'm really excited about this opportunity.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: I feel like I haven't seen you in forever.
- 1:56SPEAKER_04: So um I'm grateful.
- 1:58SPEAKER_04: I am Ms.
- 1:59SPEAKER_04: Originator.
- 2:00SPEAKER_04: I am the founder and host of Ms.
- 2:03SPEAKER_04: O in the Mix.
- 2:05SPEAKER_04: I am this motivational speaker with a spiritual twist, let's just say, um, encouraging people to live their best lives, whether it's in life or in business.
- 2:18SPEAKER_04: That's what I do.
- 2:20SPEAKER_04: And I dabble in my tarot and spiritual worlds, um, helping people connect with loved ones and their higher selves.
- 2:30SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm all about.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: So we have a lot of similarities in the things that we do, which is why I love that this is a collaboration and I love that we got connected by spirit, the universe, whatever you want to call it.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: Um, and so in addition, just because I want to get to, you know, what the exciting thing that's about to happen.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: So you're about to drop your masterclass.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: Is that correct?
- 2:52SPEAKER_04: Yes, I am.
- 2:52SPEAKER_04: It's nice.
- 2:53SPEAKER_04: It's taking some time, but um, it's finally here.
- 2:56SPEAKER_04: Um, dropping the masterclass based off of my book platform.
- 3:00SPEAKER_04: Nice 14 steps to a brand new you.
- 3:03SPEAKER_04: It's a book that's been out, it's available on Amazon.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: It's been out for, let's see, it's it's been out for a long time, at least 10 years.
- 3:12SPEAKER_04: So I've been actually educating people on my podcast based off of the book.
- 3:17SPEAKER_04: So, you know, we kind of walk through the cycles, but now I'm ready to actually get in front of the camera and teach you to help you obtain a goal that you are wanting to obtain or feel like you're stuck with.
- 3:31SPEAKER_04: Now you get me live in front of you, like how we're having a conversation, like just two good old friends, actually putting your best foot forward to become who you want to be.
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and figuring out who and what that is is always the hardest part, I feel like right, and it can change, like you know, like you grow and you develop, and what you wanted 10 years ago when you wrote the book may be very even different than now, but it's all a process, and that's the evolution of self.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: If you want to get, if you want to jump right off of the high dive into the into the pool of consciousness, right?
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: Like that's like it's that growth period.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: So your book can be applicable no matter where you are on this journey, right?
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: You're on your own journey.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: There's no, it's not, it's never too late to start.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: Air quotes for those of you that are listening.
- 4:18SPEAKER_04: Oh no, it's never too late to start.
- 4:20SPEAKER_04: You you should be growing all the time.
- 4:22SPEAKER_04: It's not like I get to a certain age and I don't need to grow anymore.
- 4:26SPEAKER_04: No, that's that's not how life works.
- 4:30SPEAKER_04: You should be growing, you should be uh appreciating every experience that you have and actually kind of picking apart the experience to see if you actually learned the lesson or what the lesson was in life that you need to now take another path or continue down the same path or tweak something.
- 4:51SPEAKER_04: So it's it's picking apart life's experiences, but you do it in a way where it doesn't have to hurt, you don't have to feel bad about it because this is all life experience.
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: It it is, and you know, it's actually funny that you say that.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: So I have a tarot deck that I bought at one of the events that we were at together, and instead of so if anyone's not familiar with tarot, one of the most feared cards in the tarot deck is the tower card, right?
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Like it's one of my least favorites.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Um, it's not always bad, it can just be something you don't see coming, right?
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: So it's not always terrible.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: But in it's funny that you see that in this particular deck, it's it's a soft, it softens the blow of the tower card, and they actually call it the life experience call.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: That's great because it is.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: I love it, it is, yeah, exactly.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: You're you have to learn from your tower moments, right?
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: Like you can't not, you can't not because that's how and why they happen.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: The the whole thing for the tower, and you can you can correct me if I'm wrong here, but everything that crumbles with the tower card.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: So the card essentially is two people falling off of a tower that's been struck by lightning and is crumbling to the ground, and there's a crown on top that's falling off.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: So it has like a fire and brimstone kind of vibe about it.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: But the idea behind it is that it only destroys things that were built on a on a not solid foundation, so things that are being removed from your life for your highest and best good.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: No matter how, like you said, you don't want to hurt, but no matter how painful or disruptive the actual tower moment is, it's for your highest and best good.
- 6:23SPEAKER_04: Yes, it is because some sometimes you need things ripped from you, and sometimes the like the tower has to crumble in order for you to grow, and people don't want to look at it that way.
- 6:35SPEAKER_04: It doesn't necessarily mean that your whole life is going to fall apart.
- 6:40SPEAKER_04: I'm not saying that you won't feel like sometimes your whole life could fall apart.
- 6:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, exactly.
- 6:46SPEAKER_04: Your life has been rerouted.
- 6:48SPEAKER_04: Think of it as the GPS, you know, when you hit rerotting.
- 6:55SPEAKER_04: It just keeps rerouted.
- 6:57SPEAKER_04: And to me, that's what the tower card helps.
- 6:59SPEAKER_04: It helps you find another path, another desk part, you know, another uh path to your destination.
- 7:06SPEAKER_04: That's what the tower card is about.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: Yes, it is, it is, and it's um, like I said, it's one of the most feared cards, but it all comes down to the life experience and like you said, learning from it.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: And I think that a lot of people get hung up, and not everybody, but I think there are people that choose a spiritual path and they choose to do something similar to what we do in our own unique and special snowflake kind of ways, right?
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: Like you have you have the podcast and the book that you've been working on.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: I like to focus on meditation and physical movement with my yoga and and motivate people through their body to connect with their body's natural intuition, right?
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: So everyone has their way that they communicate with their body, with their higher self, with their intuition and how they then bring that to the masses, but not everybody wants to take that path.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: And I have a lot of friends have as I've gone through tower moments in my own life that have I had literally had someone say to me the other day, they were like, Well, I think she's grown enough.
- 8:01SPEAKER_04: I'm scared of that person.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: No, and right, and and like, and no shade, right?
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: Everyone, but there are people that just choose to not, and that's a choice, and that's okay.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: And then there, there are there are people that it's the spiritual path or the path of choosing better, making better choices, choosing your highest self, trying to become, trying to rise above.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: That is a challenge.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: This no one said that that comes easy.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: That is not an easy path.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: There will be towers on that path.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: There's no way to not have that happen, in my humble opinion.
- 8:41SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 8:41SPEAKER_04: Even the poor the person that says that they no longer they think they've grown enough.
- 8:48SPEAKER_04: The only time you've grown enough is when your end up your life is over, when life is done.
- 8:53SPEAKER_04: Like you keep that.
- 8:54SPEAKER_04: That's graduation.
- 8:56SPEAKER_04: Yes, that's your graduation.
- 8:58SPEAKER_04: The death card is your graduation.
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: Not the death card, the death card.
- 9:03SPEAKER_04: That's another card that people are so transformation.
- 9:07SPEAKER_04: Like transformation, right?
- 9:08SPEAKER_04: Like it's not to a beautiful new beginning.
- 9:12SPEAKER_04: That's what the death card is.
- 9:14SPEAKER_04: Something, a door closing behind you, so you can go on to a new path.
- 9:18SPEAKER_04: It's not like the necessarily like the tower card.
- 9:22SPEAKER_04: The tower card is going to bring some disruption, some serious disruption.
- 9:26SPEAKER_04: The death card is saying it's over.
- 9:28SPEAKER_04: Whatever that was is now behind you, and you're moving to your new path.
- 9:34SPEAKER_04: And so once people understand these things, they'll be able to accept it a little more.
- 9:40SPEAKER_04: Like some people, like your friend who doesn't want to grow anymore.
- 9:44SPEAKER_04: Um, well, the best part is he answered for a for a woman, he answered for somebody else.
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: So it makes it even better.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: No, that's just look, stay in your own pocket.
- 9:56SPEAKER_04: Not even a lane, stay in your own pocket because you have enough mess going on.
- 10:01SPEAKER_04: But but for for the experience, experience of it all, it's like people need to take the time out.
- 10:11SPEAKER_04: You either consciously grow or you grow and you have blinders on.
- 10:17SPEAKER_04: Which one would you rather do?
- 10:18SPEAKER_04: Because not making a decision is still making a decision, not continuing to grow, you're still growing.
- 10:25SPEAKER_04: It's just that you're repeating the same cycles.
- 10:28SPEAKER_04: You're gonna learn a lesson.
- 10:30SPEAKER_04: It's you're gonna touch a hot stove and you want to continue to touch it.
- 10:34SPEAKER_04: Guarantee, guarantee you're gonna burn your skin out.
- 10:37SPEAKER_04: And it's gonna hurt you, and you're gonna say, you know what, next time I'm not gonna do that.
- 10:41SPEAKER_04: It's growth.
- 10:42SPEAKER_04: I don't care how long it took you to get there, but you're still growing whether you want to or not.
- 10:48SPEAKER_04: You're gonna make a decision, or the decision will happen for you.
- 10:52SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 10:52SPEAKER_04: Right how it works.
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: My mother always used to say to me, If if you don't check you, God checks you.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: She was Spanish Catholic.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: I like to joke and call it Inquisition Catholic because you know, we're we're from the old country, right?
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: So like it was it was if you don't check you, God's gonna check you.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: And then I've I've been checked, I've been checked in the past, right?
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: Like, so I learned lessons that way, and I was like, Oh, she's not wrong.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: Mother was right.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: Like, she was very, very right.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: Um, and so that's you know, and again, it's it's not to scare people away from it, but how do you so you have the podcast, you have the book, and now you're launching the master class.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: And I, you know me, I always want to go straight to the tarot, straight to the spiritual, straight to the woo-woo, because like that's that's where my that's where my heart lies.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: Like that's that's when I were kindred spirits in that way.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: But talk to me a little bit about how you because I think it's really important for people to understand that just because you're like what a lot of like Instagram dubs a woo-woo girly, which I kind of hate because we're not we're women, first of all, we're we're we're we're adults.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: But also, also there's this in my mind, I feel like there is a mental juxtaposition or a stigma around the fact that that if you get your advice or you like not turning inwards, because I don't think there's a stigma there, but if you go towards a spiritual inclination from tarot or from a spiritual, let's say a medium, anything like that, and you make business decisions based on that, then they're like, it's like shun the non-believer, right?
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: So I I want to bridge that gap here because I think that you with your your what people would deem business-esque, right?
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: The book, the platform book, the podcast, the podcast, and the masterclass that you're now dropping with all of those things together, if if if that was it, people would be like, She's an entrepreneur, she's a businesswoman, right?
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: If and this, and and how so how do you combine those two to keep the validity to the people that are gonna be like, wait, you do that and you do that, and give you that hairy eyeball.
- 13:00SPEAKER_04: Well, to the people that give me the hairy eyeball, to be honest, they're not your people.
- 13:04SPEAKER_04: I don't care.
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: You're not my people, right?
- 13:08SPEAKER_04: You know, um, people are going people buy me.
- 13:13SPEAKER_04: People don't necessarily buy what I do.
- 13:16SPEAKER_04: Whether you some people have businesses that are cookie cutter businesses, that will be the podcast, the book, the everything, and people still will not trust in them.
- 13:25SPEAKER_04: It doesn't matter, they still get the hairy eyeball.
- 13:28SPEAKER_04: But I hear you the connection with the spirituality part.
- 13:31SPEAKER_04: I think spirituality nowadays is a little bit more accepted than it was in the past.
- 13:36SPEAKER_04: Right and two, for me connecting it, I didn't always have my spirituality as part of the conversation.
- 13:44SPEAKER_04: I still technically don't.
- 13:46SPEAKER_04: Okay, I I I have my spirituality over here, I have this platform course over here.
- 13:54SPEAKER_04: I don't I don't necessarily combine the two because they're they're different, right?
- 14:02SPEAKER_04: Even though they still reside within me, they're still different.
- 14:07SPEAKER_04: So I let people know that hey, yes, I'm a tarot reader and I'm a medium, so I do, you know, I do that and I motivate people at the same time.
- 14:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you can read the Bible like I have, because people think that spirituality people don't read the Bible, it's all voodoo hoodoo and whatever else, yeah.
- 14:27SPEAKER_04: Which some of it is, but yeah, I mean some of the things.
- 14:30SPEAKER_04: Well, well, I mean, yeah, you don't have light without dark.
- 14:34SPEAKER_04: Nor am I.
- 14:36SPEAKER_04: But with all that being said, people, you I don't combine it.
- 14:43SPEAKER_04: I don't combine it, but I do I am honest with people because spirit we are made of spirit.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: If you look at the Bible, you got the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
- 14:53SPEAKER_04: We're talking about spirit, we talk about ghost.
- 14:57SPEAKER_04: Some people believe in it, some people don't.
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: What do you think happens?
- 15:01SPEAKER_04: Some people think that you just lay in a box and that's the end of it.
- 15:04SPEAKER_04: No, your spirit leaves before you, your body is in that box and in the ground.
- 15:10SPEAKER_04: Your spirit is already out of your body, right?
- 15:13SPEAKER_04: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:14SPEAKER_04: So this is part of life.
- 15:17SPEAKER_04: You when when Catholic, I went to Catholic school.
- 15:20SPEAKER_04: I am not Catholic.
- 15:21SPEAKER_04: I went to Catholic school from um kindergarten through uh 12th grade.
- 15:27SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 15:28SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 15:28SPEAKER_04: Um, my parents did not practice religion.
- 15:31SPEAKER_04: I was introduced to all religions.
- 15:34SPEAKER_04: I was a very fortunate child to have access to learn about all religions and make my own decisions.
- 15:42SPEAKER_04: That's amazing.
- 15:42SPEAKER_04: And spirituality was very big in my house.
- 15:46SPEAKER_04: I learned that part from both my parents.
- 15:49SPEAKER_04: So, you know, when I look at being the Catholic Church, and when you go and take the bread and the wine, it's like the body and the blood of Christ.
- 16:00SPEAKER_04: Like I can, you know, all of that, that still, whether you want to look at it or not, is a form of spirituality, a little bit of magic thrown up in there.
- 16:09SPEAKER_04: If you're representing this as you're eating this wafer that is the body, you understand, and drinking this liquid that is the blood.
- 16:18SPEAKER_04: Think people don't think about it.
- 16:20SPEAKER_04: You're touching on spirituality in every religion, it doesn't matter.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: Sheer volume of candles and incense in a Catholic church, okay.
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: And tell me, you know, and but but and that's where the conversation gets uncomfortable for people, right?
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: Like that's where where like, and I'm not gonna call it any religion specifically, but that's where a lot of the the and I will say churches in a in a it as institutions, churches as institutions will have a public take on something, right?
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: And say it's other than or condemn it or whatever, right?
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: And I think that there's an element uh for for me, there's an element of I don't want to be like an a la carte Catholic, but I believe in in Christ consciousness, I believe that he was a healer, I believe, I believe in the Catholic belief system as well, but it's still it's a belief that I have, and it doesn't preclude me from pulling tarot cards, which many other Catholics might raise a hairy eyeball at.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: Or it's paper.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: The real gift lies within within the intuition, and where does that where do you think that comes from?
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 17:38SPEAKER_04: Where like it comes from source, it comes from God.
- 17:42SPEAKER_04: You know, that's why when you meditate, monks who meditate and you you get clarity, you get answers.
- 17:48SPEAKER_04: We're it's all energy, it's it's all coming from source, the main source of us that gives us life.
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: That's all tarot.
- 17:58SPEAKER_04: Cards is just paper.
- 18:01SPEAKER_04: I usually tell people that I read for the cards are for you because not no nine times out of ten, I could just look at you don't even need and I don't need the cards.
- 18:12SPEAKER_04: I don't need them to tell you what I need to tell you or to deliver with the message that God has given me to give to you.
- 18:18SPEAKER_04: I just don't start everything with God.
- 18:20SPEAKER_04: I don't start, you know.
- 18:22SPEAKER_04: I I don't people have a stigma about that too.
- 18:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like everything.
- 18:27SPEAKER_04: Oh, I have friends that go, oh, here she goes again, talking about God, or oh, she's into those woo-woo cards.
- 18:34SPEAKER_04: Um I have a mixture of friends and I love that.
- 18:39SPEAKER_04: All of them, yes, I love all of them.
- 18:42SPEAKER_04: I respect everyone for what what their beliefs are, as they respect me for mine.
- 18:48SPEAKER_04: They tease me, but I could care less.
- 18:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, that's what that's what friends do, right?
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: But that's the same with business.
- 18:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you don't wish to do business with me because you have um uh internal disagreement with yourself about my beliefs and what I do, then I may just not be the person for you.
- 19:11SPEAKER_04: And I don't hold it against you.
- 19:14SPEAKER_04: I'll try to help you find someone that could be for you, but I don't melt my businesses together, not because of the woo-woo or hairy-eyed situation.
- 19:25SPEAKER_04: I just don't always have that kind of that conversation doesn't pop up in my book, like it if it was a spirituality book, then maybe, but this is not, it's just pure self-deliverance.
- 19:40SPEAKER_04: Like, what are you dealing with internally?
- 19:42SPEAKER_04: And how can we connect the the head and the heart, you know, how and come up with a solution?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna I'm gonna play advocate.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: I won't say the word that comes before it, but I'm gonna say, how is that not spiritual?
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: It is spiritual, but everyone can't relate.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: I know, I know.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: So you're you're right.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: So you're making it as accessible.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: I'm right there with you.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: You're making it accessible for as many people to meet them where they are, and that's how business should be done, right?
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: You have to meet any and all clients exactly where they are to get them to invest in you and your business.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: Um, and especially if you're doing it from that place.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: But again, I feel like that's that's like that's like sneaky spirituality.
- 20:27SPEAKER_02: Like you're getting it in there.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: Sneaky in a bad way.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: I mean it in a good way.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: You're opening people up to you're you're giving them the opportunity to rise to the occasion.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: That's how I look at it.
- 20:39SPEAKER_02: In a way, right?
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: Like you're like, and and because let's I think that this is me personally, but I believe that self-awareness is the gate to spirituality because it you cannot be, you can live a completely blissful, ignorant existence devoid of spirituality, self-awareness, and you can walk around like a bull in a china shop or you know, a completely unaware human being just bumping your way through life.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: But if you want trajectory, consciousness, you have it starts with being able to look at yourself in the mirror.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: And it sounds like platform, the masterclass, is exactly what you're offering people away, you're giving them a mirror, right?
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: And a way to and a way to tangibly face, like I always say, like the hardest thing to do is to face yourself because oh, I said that in the book too.
- 21:34SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 21:37SPEAKER_04: Now, speaking about spirituality, that's a second, this is a side note, you know.
- 21:43SPEAKER_04: It goes into the thing of you're not supposed to stare at yourself long time in the mirror, right?
- 21:48SPEAKER_04: Really?
- 21:49SPEAKER_04: Really, yeah, yeah.
- 21:52SPEAKER_04: How well, like, what's the I mean, I don't getting up close, like we talking about five, 10 minutes, just looking dead into your eyes.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 22:01SPEAKER_04: You don't know.
- 22:02SPEAKER_04: Don't do that.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, I don't, but I more does work with ADHD.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I don't have I don't have ADHD and I don't have the time to stare at myself for 10 minutes.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: But I I mean really.
- 22:13SPEAKER_04: But yeah, like so you like you can look into the mirror and you can say some affirmations, but I love you, I love me, yeah, all that.
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: Right, you know, reset your eyes and come right back.
- 22:26SPEAKER_04: Um, I say be careful because um mirrors, like the things like black mirrors, scrying mirrors, things like that.
- 22:35SPEAKER_04: You start seeing other things, not to scare people, but to help people understand.
- 22:41SPEAKER_04: You are looking at a reflection of yourself that yet will become distorted after a while.
- 22:48SPEAKER_04: So you have to be careful with that.
- 22:51SPEAKER_04: But I do talk about looking in the mirror at yourself and saying like your affirmations and who you are and creating your avatar, learning who you are, you know, using the actual mirror to do that.
- 23:04SPEAKER_04: But let's not do it for a long period of time.
- 23:07SPEAKER_04: We do it when we stop.
- 23:08SPEAKER_04: We have a cut off.
- 23:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 23:12SPEAKER_04: Because then you're gonna start saying, Oh, what was that?
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: Everything in moderation.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm not a big mirror fan in general.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, because you know, they are portals, right?
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: In theory, if you wanna so I uh I like to I like to bless them all and keep them out of my bedroom.
- 23:31SPEAKER_04: I cover cover my mirrors, yeah, yeah.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: So just no to sell for the people who are not woo-woo.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: If you have adult mirrors in the bedroom, not great, and you know, you may want to cover them or you know, put a little say a little something over them, just saying it just can't hurt, right?
- 23:49SPEAKER_04: It doesn't hurt, not at all.
- 23:51SPEAKER_04: Yes, exactly.
- 23:53SPEAKER_04: Trust me, it doesn't hurt.
- 23:55SPEAKER_04: Does not hurt, but yeah, so um seeing yourself and speaking affirmations into yourself is something that is is definite it definitely works because what we think, what we say, what we speak, they're all connected.
- 24:11SPEAKER_04: So that draws you into manifesting.
- 24:13SPEAKER_04: See, spirituality just keeps on going.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: And people I mean, words, I I didn't want to say words are spells, but I did, I'm gonna say words are spells.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: So this is what I mean.
- 24:22SPEAKER_02: Like, like what you're doing, listen, and this is not I'm not calling up, but like just the idea of motivation, right?
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: Just the idea of manifestation, all that, like if that's not spirituality, it at its core, and you know, I I love like I on my on my very carefully curated Instagram algorithm, which I put a lot of you know, care into like, hey, don't send me that because it's gonna mess with my algorithm.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: But one of the things that I love are are the neuroscientists and the physicists, the scientists that come from their scientist world and go, manifestation is a thing, neuroscience, brain, you know, rewiring your brain is a tangible act of physical manifestation of the spiritual.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: And I love the people that that just come out and say it, and they're scientists saying it.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, thank you.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: We're finally like, we're finally here.
- 25:18SPEAKER_04: Well, because now they're allowed to say it.
- 25:20SPEAKER_04: What do you think has happened all these years?
- 25:23SPEAKER_04: People don't understand.
- 25:24SPEAKER_04: The funniest thing to me is people don't understand everything that you were told in society that you should not do, okay, but they put into the movies, they gotta tell you the which all the witchy stuff, all the manifestation, the the laws.
- 25:44SPEAKER_04: What is it?
- 25:45SPEAKER_04: The secret, the secret, yeah, the law of attraction, yeah.
- 25:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, saying your affirmations, giving you mantras, hearing, hearing things like the news repeat the same things over and over and over to get you.
- 26:01SPEAKER_04: That is all awful.
- 26:03SPEAKER_04: Yes, to believe in something.
- 26:05SPEAKER_04: That's still the same thing.
- 26:07SPEAKER_04: People we have we have grown up in a society that has stripped away the the realistic version of spell work.
- 26:20SPEAKER_04: We live in a very magical place, down to the flowers, down to the soil, down to how our trees operate and how they communicate.
- 26:30SPEAKER_04: When people find out, oh, if you talk to I I have 30 plants, I have plants behind me, yeah.
- 26:38SPEAKER_04: Because and I talk to them every day.
- 26:42SPEAKER_04: I talk to them every day, they're a living thing, yeah.
- 26:47SPEAKER_04: But for so long, people laugh when you go hug a tree.
- 26:51SPEAKER_04: Oh, those tree huggers, hippies, and I'm literally on an environmental board, so yes, I'm like I'm a full tree hugger, yes, and you know what?
- 27:01SPEAKER_04: You release all your negativity, all the bad thoughts into the trees.
- 27:06SPEAKER_04: They take that.
- 27:07SPEAKER_04: That's they help I feel bad doing that, but no, they they take that, that's part of them.
- 27:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they take our carbon dioxide, come on, they take the things that we can't hold on to until people wake up and listen and learn that that's not that's typically magic in today's society, but it's not, it's just the way life works.
- 27:33SPEAKER_04: Speaking to plants or living things, say something mean to a dog, say something mean to your cat.
- 27:39SPEAKER_04: If you do, don't they react?
- 27:41SPEAKER_04: Don't they have emotions and feelings?
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: But I want to so I had this conversation, I just because I feel like this is important, and I think you're gonna appreciate this.
- 27:50SPEAKER_02: I had this brief conversation the other day with um with an individual where we were talking about we were talking about self-care and self-worth.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: We were really talking about self-worth, right?
- 28:01SPEAKER_02: And I I I think a lot of women, and I'm not gonna, you know, not narcissistic ones, but I think a lot of empathic women, intuitive women, struggle with self-worth because if you're a people pleaser, recovering people pleaser, an overgiver, someone who's who wants to support the space and do all those things, I think that it's really hard to not get your worth from like nurturing as women.
- 28:27SPEAKER_02: There's there's a there's a divine joke in that, right?
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: And I I shared this with her, and I don't think she's a dog person, and that's okay.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: But I shared with her it it it hit me like a tower lightning bolt moment.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: I was in bed with my little floofy corgi, who I love all the ways, and I was just like, I love you.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: You are the most adorable, perfect little imaginate, like just the greatest thing in the entire world, the best conglomeration of selves, like I love you so much.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: And I was like, you just deserve the best because you and I was like, Oh.
- 29:05SPEAKER_02: Just because this little furry, adorable thing exists in the world, I want him to have no pain, no worry, no suffering.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: No, I want everything in his existence to be perfect because he's just because I love him so much and he's there.
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: And I was like, oh, that's it.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: I was like, that's it.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: Ding ding ding.
- 29:25SPEAKER_02: But like it you brought up the dog and the or the cat.
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: And I just had to share that because I think that for me, it was that light bulb mirror moment of like, oh, that's what it's supposed to, oh.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: And for people who have children, or you know, I'm maybe they got there quicker.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: Or you know what I mean?
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: But like when you have something that you are responsible for or two that you care for and that you love that much, whatever it may be for you, to realize that that's the same way that you should talk to and treat yourself.
- 30:01SPEAKER_04: And for every negative thought, and like in my book, I say for every negative thought, you have to write two positives because you have to retrain the way you think.
- 30:11SPEAKER_04: And like we were talking about the scientists, they tell you that like they have certain frequencies that you know you can listen to to help start to heal you because we all walk around with so much trauma, unhealed trauma.
- 30:29SPEAKER_04: 100% we don't pay attention to how we treat ourselves, and then we wonder why things don't work out for us.
- 30:38SPEAKER_04: It's because of what we've manifested.
- 30:40SPEAKER_04: We have talked so bad.
- 30:42SPEAKER_04: Oh, I'm stupid, I'm not stupid, but this is an example, but you know, it's things like that, or the especially with women, we continuously apologize for something that we haven't even done.
- 30:55SPEAKER_04: Oh, I'm sorry, I did that.
- 30:56SPEAKER_04: Why are you sorry?
- 30:57SPEAKER_04: You're not we say sorry instead of excuse me.
- 31:00SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 31:01SPEAKER_04: Oh, sorry.
- 31:02SPEAKER_04: How did that happen?
- 31:03SPEAKER_04: No, no, sorry.
- 31:05SPEAKER_04: I catch people all the time, and I say, You're not sorry, don't say that.
- 31:10SPEAKER_04: You're not sorry, it don't say that, you know, constantly.
- 31:13SPEAKER_04: You have to you think about what that means.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: I am sorry.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Like, do you ever do that?
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: Like, if you break that down and you say that all the time, like you're apologizing for existing.
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: Are you kidding?
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: Exactly, like, no, hard stop.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: And I stopped that like that.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: Was when I stopped a while ago.
- 31:32SPEAKER_04: But but you people have to realize the way you talk to yourself, you're talking to yourself like you're a penny with a hole in it.
- 31:42SPEAKER_04: Never mind like a penny, like you're worthless, right?
- 31:47SPEAKER_04: Right, yeah, and even if you put okay, even if you put a hole in a penny, it's not worthless.
- 31:54SPEAKER_04: Copper is quite valid, right?
- 31:56SPEAKER_04: Quite expensive, so you need to start filling up all the rest of those holes that you by doing the affirmations and yeah, speaking to your higher self.
- 32:06SPEAKER_04: Everyone acts like your higher self is taboo.
- 32:08SPEAKER_04: No, it's the better version of you, it's the you that you're supposed to be in competition with to be better the next day.
- 32:16SPEAKER_04: Yes, 100%.
- 32:19SPEAKER_04: 100% I still can't explain that to some people who aren't open to spirituality, however, I can stick little pieces of that in and say, Well, you know, when you go to a sound bath to just relax, now you're do you know you're dipping into some spirituality, right?
- 32:40SPEAKER_04: You know, yeah, and then I start to explain, and that kind of brings them over.
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: I hate to say converting them, but it opens them up, it it it gives them the opportunity to rise to the occasion, right?
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: Right, and and I do it very similarly, but I use the physical body because that's that's the that's the medium I that calls to me, right?
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: Like so you were talking about unhealed trauma a minute ago, and I always start with people by saying if you don't process it, if you don't sit with it, your body internalizes it and it sticks it somewhere, and it can and it manifests disease or it manifests in our thrive, you know, I know that's a disease, but it can it it sticks in areas of your body and women a lot of times it's in the tension in the shoulders, right?
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: It's it's hip stuff for women, right?
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: If there's a lot of if there's any sexual trauma, the sheer volume of like what can be stored in and around your sacral region is is huge.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: And so I think there's an element of, you know, and I said this recently, like we we have this idea of like mind, body, spirit, right?
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: And they're all separate in in our in our in our human way of categorizing everything, right?
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: Which like makes it easier for us to digest.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: There's they're separate, but they're all they're all the same, it's all the same.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: It's all connecting, it's all the same thing, all connecting, right?
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: Our meat suit is part of it.
- 34:09SPEAKER_04: Our meat suit is part of it.
- 34:11SPEAKER_04: It's our covering, it's the covering to protect all the other things, but the energy, so it's the house for all the energy and frequencies that we have within us.
- 34:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what the meat suit is.
- 34:23SPEAKER_04: It holds it all together, yes, that's what it is.
- 34:28SPEAKER_04: And we have to treat our meat suit with love, yes.
- 34:31SPEAKER_04: The meat and acceptance.
- 34:34SPEAKER_04: The meat suit is an organ, right?
- 34:36SPEAKER_04: Yes, it's yes, it's part of it, and then you have your brain, so all your organs need love and tender care.
- 34:46SPEAKER_04: You want to put good things into your body, whatever we can find in this society, put good things into your body, but that also means words, the things we say to ourselves.
- 34:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we have to wake up and start treating ourselves a lot better.
- 35:03SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Talk to talk to yourself the way you talk to your dog or your or your or your baby or your you know, or whatever it is that you love the most in the world, whatever however you think about it, and talk to it or he or she or whatever.
- 35:18SPEAKER_02: Um just be like, oh right, that's how I'm supposed to relate to myself.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: Because again, if you don't start right where you are, you know, how do you how are you there for how are you, and that's one of the things for me to to break through to those those people pleasers and the ones that are kind of hard to reach is if you want to be the best for for the people that you love and the people that you want to take care of, and that that aspect of like I put everybody else first, right?
- 35:47SPEAKER_02: You can't if you don't if you if you run yourself into the stinking ground.
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, right.
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: She says to her, she says to herself, yeah.
- 35:55SPEAKER_04: You have to, but you have to take care of yourself just like when you're on an airplane.
- 35:58SPEAKER_04: If oxygen mass drops down, you gotta put it on yourself before you can put it on anyone else.
- 36:03SPEAKER_04: If you don't help yourself, you're no good for anyone else.
- 36:06SPEAKER_04: Yes, exactly.
- 36:08SPEAKER_04: You know, you can't keep running everybody else around to the doctor and you never go, right?
- 36:13SPEAKER_04: It doesn't work like that, you know.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: But how many women do that?
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna say women, I mean, I'm not throwing shade on any men, but like they take care of everyone else but themselves themselves, and a lot of times that can be an excuse, yeah, right?
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: It's an excuse to not look at that mirror, it's an excuse to to it also because they feel guilty.
- 36:36SPEAKER_04: We feel guilty, and I will say that for a long time.
- 36:40SPEAKER_04: I was a people pleaser, I'm a former people pleaser.
- 36:44SPEAKER_04: I'm a recover, I'm a recovery people, recovering people pleaser, you know, and and I'm an overgiver.
- 36:53SPEAKER_04: And you know, well, I don't overgive anymore.
- 36:56SPEAKER_04: It took a lot for me to stop giving so much, and it took a lot for me to become a receiver.
- 37:04SPEAKER_04: So when people wanted to help me, oh no, I got it.
- 37:08SPEAKER_04: I got the oh, I got it because you don't want to accept the help, right?
- 37:16SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 37:18SPEAKER_02: For those of you listening, I'm doing a sheepish hand raise.
- 37:23SPEAKER_04: You know, it it takes a lot, so it's a lot to work on yourself.
- 37:27SPEAKER_04: I've been, I want to say I've been working on myself for like actively consciously working on myself since I turned 40.
- 37:37SPEAKER_04: And that's what prompted, you know, me to really start teaching people and giving them steps and giving them homework.
- 37:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you come to listen to my podcast, you get homework to work on yourself.
- 37:51SPEAKER_04: We don't just have the episode, you get actual homework, things that you can walk away with.
- 37:56SPEAKER_04: You always have to come with a pen and a pad.
- 37:58SPEAKER_04: I always say it.
- 37:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no takers are money makers, and however that currency looks in your life, it could be longevity of life, it could be just you know being happier when you wake up.
- 38:10SPEAKER_04: It doesn't matter how whatever the currency is for that for you.
- 38:16SPEAKER_04: I expect you to do homework in order to in order to achieve it.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, I mean you have to, right?
- 38:22SPEAKER_02: Like the work doesn't stop with the podcast, like listen to the podcast.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: That's what they heard.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: Of course they do.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: I heard it, that's enough.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: But that's that's and that is a step, and they should be acknowledged, like you know, I in a lot of on on on my podcast, like because of hashtag collab, but I always say to people, like, you can't, and you just said it before, you can't beat yourself up when you don't do the thing either, right?
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: Like, because I I talk a lot about diet and I talk a lot about nutrition, I talk a lot about, you know, like the discipline, and then inevitably you're gonna have a cheat, or you're gonna, there's gonna be a day, right?
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Like where you have to where you have to loosen a little bit, or you start out strong and then you and then you have a hiccup or you fall off.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: You you can't oftentimes when people are starting on a on a journey of self-awareness, especially if they're talking about diet, addiction, smoking, drinking, anything like that, you slip up and then they use that because the brain wants to keep doing what it's familiar with, they use that as an excuse to just say, Oh, eff it.
- 39:33SPEAKER_04: No, you just pick right back up where you left.
- 39:36SPEAKER_02: Pick right back up, but a lot, but you gotta forgive yourself because people will say, Oh, well, I I I smoked a cigarette last night and I can't do this, it's too hard, and F it, right?
- 39:46SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:46SPEAKER_02: As opposed to, okay, I, you know, I had a really crap day, and this is the device I've been going to for 20 years, and I went to it and I leaned on it, and tomorrow I'm gonna do better.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: Tomorrow I'm gonna not, if it's a better day, it's if it's a crappy day again, I'm gonna smoke half of it and put it out.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: Whatever it is for you, whatever you're that's just I feel like an easy example for people to understand.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: But whatever it is for you, I think the self-acceptance, the self-awareness and self-accoupled with self-acceptance are are the pillars that get you on any sort of journey to betterment, whatever that betterment looks like for you, whether it's your business, your health, your wellness, your finances, whatever it is, you have to be aware of the issue so that you can work with it, and you have to be able to accept where you are so that you can take those steps that are necessary to get to the next level, whatever it is.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: If either of those two pillars are not there or do or based on delusion, I'm gonna go back to the tower card.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: I did I did not do spirit fingers on purpose, it's just a cookie crumble, right?
- 40:59SPEAKER_04: That's how it is.
- 41:01SPEAKER_04: So you gotta start somewhere.
- 41:03SPEAKER_04: You want to make sure you start with a solid foundation, and you gotta start with you.
- 41:07SPEAKER_04: It starts with you.
- 41:09SPEAKER_04: If I tell people all the time, if your life feels like it's falling apart, it's because one, it needs to, but two, how are you talking to yourself?
- 41:19SPEAKER_04: How are you putting yourself out to the world?
- 41:26SPEAKER_04: Put it like this if you want to feel good about yourself, you can dress up, right?
- 41:32SPEAKER_04: Sometimes when you do you just try, you you're walking around and you're sad all the time, and you don't know why you're sad, and you look at your yourself, your clothes are all torn, or they're just too big, or they just don't look right.
- 41:44SPEAKER_04: Put on something nice.
- 41:45SPEAKER_04: Don't wait for the special occasion.
- 41:47SPEAKER_04: The fact that you woke up is a special occasion, the way you feel about yourself, what how you think about yourself is how you're going to build your stable foundation.
- 41:59SPEAKER_04: You are your foundation, you are it.
- 42:02SPEAKER_04: You're all you have.
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's true.
- 42:06SPEAKER_02: It's true.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: And if and you better be kind to yourself first because if you're not kind to yourself, you're not you'll allow a whole bunch of other people to not be kind to you too.
- 42:15SPEAKER_04: And notice that, you know, yeah, when you're not kind to yourself, people are drawn to you like flies, all the negative nellies out there.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: Like fly, like flies to what?
- 42:29SPEAKER_04: Not honey, all of you know what you're treating yourself like that, yeah.
- 42:36SPEAKER_04: You're you're treating you're the first one treating yourself bad.
- 42:40SPEAKER_04: So, how can you get mad when someone else comes along and treats you the same way you're treating yourself?
- 42:45SPEAKER_04: Right, right.
- 42:47SPEAKER_04: So you have to change it.
- 42:49SPEAKER_04: Shake the foundation, let the tower card come and let the death card roll out, too.
- 42:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, change it.
- 42:56SPEAKER_04: Change it.
- 42:56SPEAKER_04: I know you love analogies with the little tarot cards.
- 43:00SPEAKER_04: I do, I'm gonna bring in the five of wands.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, dude, bring it in, bring it in, bring it in.
- 43:06SPEAKER_04: For those of you the conflict card, yes, the conflict of you fighting all of your personalities.
- 43:15SPEAKER_04: Interesting.
- 43:16SPEAKER_04: Okay, I like that.
- 43:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, well, I like that.
- 43:20SPEAKER_04: Sometimes it's not about everyone else fighting you, it's about you having the conflict with your inner selves because it's not just one inner self.
- 43:29SPEAKER_04: If we have a few things going on in there, we really do.
- 43:34SPEAKER_04: Okay, and people don't people look at that like I don't no, I don't.
- 43:38SPEAKER_04: I just have one mind.
- 43:40SPEAKER_04: No, you don't.
- 43:41SPEAKER_04: No, you don't.
- 43:42SPEAKER_04: You have we all have what I want to say personality, not necessarily flaws, but personality conflicts.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: Personality traits that are potentially built on on ethics on those life experiences.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: That are that turned into a defense mechanism or a belief, right?
- 44:06SPEAKER_02: So our personality traits, and maybe I'm not gathering gathering you properly, but my where I thought you were going with it was that the different arguments we have or decisions when we're trying to the different things that go on within our minds to factor into our decision making, because it's usually about decision making, right?
- 44:26SPEAKER_02: Is based off of potential unhealed trauma, past experience that has no bearing on the current situation, but that we believe will project and create the same situation over and over again, right?
- 44:38SPEAKER_02: Like that cycle and the burning of the hand, right?
- 44:41SPEAKER_02: And then the fear of the unknown.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: Like I could I could continue.
- 44:46SPEAKER_02: Yes, you can.
- 44:47SPEAKER_04: And you can end up with a lot of wands until you get to the 10.
- 44:50SPEAKER_04: Maybe more than five.
- 44:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 44:52SPEAKER_04: Maybe more than five.
- 44:54SPEAKER_04: Maybe more than five.
- 44:55SPEAKER_04: But we have to look at those things, you know.
- 44:59SPEAKER_04: So we have to start somewhere.
- 45:01SPEAKER_04: You got one place to start, and you heal that place.
- 45:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah, not saying that you won't slide back a little bit, revert back, but you just start again.
- 45:12SPEAKER_04: And it's okay to restart as many times as you need.
- 45:16SPEAKER_04: We restart in careers a lot.
- 45:18SPEAKER_04: You can restart in life and in healing yourself.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think when it comes to healing, you have no choice but to restart because you have to like a lot of times you you have to many more often than not healing that God checks you if you don't check yourself or source or universe or whatever you want to call it happens when at your lowest, right?
- 45:45SPEAKER_02: At that at that rock bottom area is is where the healing begins.
- 45:51SPEAKER_02: Not always, not always.
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: You can choose better before it happens, right?
- 45:57SPEAKER_02: Like I feel like that like oftentimes you'll get nudges that that, hey, you're going down the wrong path.
- 46:06SPEAKER_02: I'd like a sign or sign.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: This sign is not signing enough for me.
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: I need a signer sign.
- 46:13SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna keep going down this path until a big sign smacks me in the face because I just can't believe the other 50 signs that I got.
- 46:23SPEAKER_04: But it's okay.
- 46:26SPEAKER_04: We don't necessarily get it all at the same stage.
- 46:29SPEAKER_04: And no, because people, you know, one thing I have learned through my course of healing is to start where I am, start at the simplest thing.
- 46:40SPEAKER_04: Like, why does this person irritate me?
- 46:44SPEAKER_04: Usually it's a person that irritates someone, or why do I keep doing the same thing or in relationships falling for the same person or same type of individual?
- 46:55SPEAKER_04: I started to go back and I started where I am, then I started to go back when I had that problem again before, and then I started going back.
- 47:06SPEAKER_04: I went all the way back to elementary school.
- 47:09SPEAKER_04: That's how far I've been going back in my healing journey.
- 47:14SPEAKER_04: That's the only reason I feel like I'm as strong as I am today, because I've taken those situations and those trigger points that really bother me.
- 47:23SPEAKER_04: And I went all the way back as far as I could go to when they started.
- 47:29SPEAKER_04: And I realized, oh, I remember, I know why I'm claustrophobic.
- 47:35SPEAKER_04: I know what happened, and I can deal with this fear, and I'm okay.
- 47:40SPEAKER_04: I know why I was afraid to go swimming or be in the middle of a pool.
- 47:44SPEAKER_04: Okay, like those are simple things, but I also know why I was taking things personal when people would give me just critique some artwork or something of mine, and I would kind of take it to heart so bad.
- 48:01SPEAKER_04: Like it would, it would be crushing my world.
- 48:04SPEAKER_04: And I'm like, why has this hurt so bad?
- 48:07SPEAKER_04: And then I can remember sometime when I was in high school and a teacher told me something bad about my artwork, and people laughed, and it really meant a lot to me.
- 48:19SPEAKER_04: Like you go back, you know, you start where you are, but then you start to trace it back until you can start to say to that little girl or little boy or whoever, you grab them and say, You're okay, you are safe, and you don't have to worry about that.
- 48:35SPEAKER_04: It's only it only matters what you think about you and how you feel about that situation.
- 48:42SPEAKER_04: That's it.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: Well, and the you know, the inner child healing aspect of the the the you know, I've gone, I've done an inner child meditation.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: I have not created one, I don't think, or because on this podcast I do a meditation episode once a month, um, a guided meditation episode.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: And I love I love guided meditations, I just think they're wonderful.
- 49:03SPEAKER_02: I had done an inner child healing meditation, and I think that that is more than once so profound, so poignant to realize to integrate, a to integrate that inner child with your adult self.
- 49:20SPEAKER_02: And ultimately, the the hope, I'm not even gonna say the word goal because it feels too trait, but the hope is that in that integration, you are the person that was not there for you, that created whatever it was that needed to be healed.
- 49:37SPEAKER_02: You've turned into the savior that you needed when you didn't have one as an adult.
- 49:42SPEAKER_02: And that's part, and that is a huge that awareness, that moment is a massive part of any healing journey, I personally believe, because that's where how many, I mean, how many of us are, you know, toddlers on legs?
- 49:59SPEAKER_04: I'm still a toddler, I don't want to grow up.
- 50:02SPEAKER_04: I love Disney.
- 50:03SPEAKER_02: I love I'm okay with that.
- 50:04SPEAKER_02: I'm all right with it.
- 50:05SPEAKER_02: I'm okay.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: I'm all right.
- 50:07SPEAKER_02: Moana rocks, it's all good.
- 50:11SPEAKER_04: But I want that little girl in me to to come along with me and not be afraid.
- 50:17SPEAKER_04: So that's why it was important for me to take it as far back as I can, find the original trigger.
- 50:25SPEAKER_04: And yes, it's not always easy.
- 50:27SPEAKER_04: And yes, I cried every step of the way, but I feel like a better person.
- 50:33SPEAKER_04: Like you know my the rest of my story, yeah.
- 50:37SPEAKER_04: But yeah, that's a that's another episode.
- 50:40SPEAKER_04: But yeah, I'm not gonna go there.
- 50:43SPEAKER_04: No, yeah, it takes a lot, yeah, it takes a lot to dig deep, you know, and it's and you just can't do it by yourself all the time.
- 50:52SPEAKER_04: You just can't.
- 50:53SPEAKER_02: I've had help along the way, you know.
- 50:56SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 50:56SPEAKER_02: Hopefully we all have.
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, in one way or another, whether that's you know, through a therapist or a spiritual guide or a healer, whatever, you know, whatever everyone can, or or all of those different modalities over different periods of time, depending on what it is that you're facing in that moment, right?
- 51:11SPEAKER_02: And hopefully they're worth their salt because not all of them are created equal in any of the capacities, right?
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: Like even if they went to school, even I mean, especially in the spiritual healing world.
- 51:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, you can you gotta what's the word I'm looking for?
- 51:26SPEAKER_02: Disclaimer, disclaimer.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, be careful when going to spiritual mediums, even tarot readers and and spiritual anyone who calls themselves a guru.
- 51:37SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna say be wary of, first of all.
- 51:40SPEAKER_02: First of all, second of all, be very conscientious when you go into that modality of who you are working with.
- 51:50SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 51:51SPEAKER_02: Always make sure you feel good, you vibe, you you don't have any weird feelings in your body.
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: Um, because that is trust, yeah, yeah, because that having integrity in the intangible in a business of intangible of intangible is I think of the utmost importance.
- 52:16SPEAKER_02: And there are so many people that may abuse that.
- 52:21SPEAKER_02: I think so too.
- 52:23SPEAKER_04: I do.
- 52:24SPEAKER_04: I'm very someone out of a dear friend of mine said, How can you be a such a spiritual person medium and and tarot and you do tarot and you motivate people, and then sometimes you listen to other readers or you see someone, you go, mm-mm.
- 52:45SPEAKER_04: It's because of my intuition and discernment and discernment.
- 52:51SPEAKER_04: And you know, I I move from a with a little different than a lot of people, and with my direct connection and how I meditate and how I connect to source, that when something isn't right, I go, mm-mm.
- 53:07SPEAKER_04: I don't even have this, I just go, mm-mm.
- 53:09SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 53:10SPEAKER_04: So you have to use your intuition and you have to practice using your intuition.
- 53:14SPEAKER_04: And for some people, it you feel it, it's in your body.
- 53:19SPEAKER_04: It's uh it's you have an internal red flag uh notification system.
- 53:26SPEAKER_04: Danger, Will Robinson, yeah, it's dangerous.
- 53:32SPEAKER_04: Like it's you know, it's in you, yeah, and people ignore it, and then that's how people care things happen, get hurt or you know down the wrong path, they go way far down the wrong path.
- 53:49SPEAKER_01: Like, I should have known I had a feeling.
- 53:51SPEAKER_04: Well, when you had the feeling, that's when you should have stopped, or you should have you should have at least stood still in the moment, you know.
- 54:00SPEAKER_04: As they say, be still, be still in the moment.
- 54:04SPEAKER_04: Yep, you know, a lot of people don't do that, and that's important, and that's another important part of growth.
- 54:11SPEAKER_04: Learning to be still in the moment before you make those decisions, or before you decide to just throw your whole life away and just say, I'm gonna go down path C.
- 54:22SPEAKER_04: I didn't do any research and just going.
- 54:24SPEAKER_04: Wait a minute.
- 54:28SPEAKER_01: But yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:30SPEAKER_02: No, I mean that the there pausing, especially for before reacting, pausing before making a big decision.
- 54:39SPEAKER_02: I will I will throw the caveat of as a as a massive, I am, I am, I can't even call myself a recovering overthinker.
- 54:46SPEAKER_02: I am still in full-fledged overthinker.
- 54:49SPEAKER_04: No, you just need to move.
- 54:50SPEAKER_02: You need to right, but and therein lies the rub, as again, my mother would say.
- 54:56SPEAKER_02: You have to take the pause, you have to have the conscientious, sit with it, think about it, but then at a certain point, you gotta pull the trigger, you gotta make the move, you gotta do the thing, whatever it might be.
- 55:09SPEAKER_02: So I will say that it is a fine balance that only you are gonna be able to cultivate for yourself between the pause and the thought process versus the overthinking spiral lack of at a certain point, it becomes counterproductive, right?
- 55:25SPEAKER_04: Very counterproductive.
- 55:26SPEAKER_04: You self-sabotage in that aspect.
- 55:29SPEAKER_04: So and if you don't make the decision and you continue to overthink, don't worry, God got you.
- 55:36SPEAKER_04: Your source has your universe makes the decision for you.
- 55:41SPEAKER_04: That's true.
- 55:42SPEAKER_04: That's true.
- 55:43SPEAKER_04: That's a good point.
- 55:44SPEAKER_04: That's a good point.
- 55:45SPEAKER_04: You know, that job you probably were supposed to leave months ago to someone who's listening to us, whether you're watching or listening, it may be you've been complaining about it for so long.
- 55:56SPEAKER_04: Well, maybe it was making you physically sick.
- 55:59SPEAKER_04: It was yeah, yeah.
- 56:01SPEAKER_04: That happens too, right?
- 56:02SPEAKER_04: How many signs was that?
- 56:04SPEAKER_04: You weren't complaining about it, you've been physically sick.
- 56:07SPEAKER_04: You you pull, you're not, you don't even pull up to the front door.
- 56:11SPEAKER_04: As soon as you get ready to get off the exit or or get out of the overwhelming sensation of dread.
- 56:19SPEAKER_04: Yes, like, oh, I can't do this.
- 56:21SPEAKER_04: How many signs do you really need?
- 56:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, well, and the and the one thing that I I want to go to two to two places, but the first place is the one thing that I really I I've really had been called to, and you said this, and I think this is really important.
- 56:37SPEAKER_02: I think this is around where I am in my healing journey is receiving.
- 56:43SPEAKER_02: Very hard, very hard.
- 56:44SPEAKER_02: And I am I am consciously making the effort to verbalize that.
- 56:50SPEAKER_02: Like I am in my receiving era, like I am open to receiving.
- 56:54SPEAKER_02: I am not putting limitations on how certain things come into my life.
- 56:58SPEAKER_02: Like I am open to receiving, surrender all of those things.
- 57:01SPEAKER_02: I do think that that is a huge part of the healing journey is the receptivity and being, you know, getting out of the no, I've got it.
- 57:11SPEAKER_02: That is so like that is so me on like all accounts.
- 57:16SPEAKER_02: And this week is perfect, perfect highlight of me doing all of the things and running myself completely ragged.
- 57:25SPEAKER_02: Um, so I'm still learning.
- 57:27SPEAKER_02: I'm still on my healing journey.
- 57:29SPEAKER_02: I am not done growing, not even a little bit.
- 57:32SPEAKER_03: We all are.
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: We all are, right?
- 57:35SPEAKER_02: We all are.
- 57:36SPEAKER_02: But is there something that you can share with our listeners about how to, and it and I mean it can be a mantra, it can be whatever, but how to how to help once you once you start to realize that you are attempting to recover as a people pleaser or as an overgripper or as an overdoer, how how do you how does how were you able to help switch yourself into that place of receptivity?
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: Invitation from the universe.
- 58:04SPEAKER_02: That because it's a feminine thing.
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: Like we are the vessel, right?
- 58:08SPEAKER_02: We are the receivers in the in the masculine and feminine.
- 58:13SPEAKER_02: And I'm not doing like the gender thing, I'm saying in the divine masculine, divine feminine of how it was created, air quotes of you for those who are listening.
- 58:22SPEAKER_02: Hunter-gatherer, vessel.
- 58:26SPEAKER_02: It is what it is.
- 58:27SPEAKER_02: Don't yell at me, yell at the people who wrote the Bible.
- 58:29SPEAKER_02: I think they're dead, but go ahead and take it up with them.
- 58:31SPEAKER_02: But it's that's that's kind of the gist, right?
- 58:34SPEAKER_02: Essentially, so we are meant to receive, and so many women are stuck in the masculine go, go, go mentality, myself included, because especially if you're an uncoupled female, you gotta eat.
- 58:47SPEAKER_02: You gotta take care of who you gotta take care of, you gotta, you gotta you gotta keep a roof over your head, food in your stomach.
- 58:52SPEAKER_02: So how do you shift from that male drive I survivor mentality to the divine feminine?
- 59:03SPEAKER_02: It's okay to rest, I can receive in this space.
- 59:07SPEAKER_02: How do you how did you reconcile that for yourself?
- 59:10SPEAKER_04: Well, it's still an ongoing battle, right?
- 59:12SPEAKER_02: Of course.
- 59:13SPEAKER_04: And I I believe it'll always be somewhat of an ongoing battle, but it gets easier.
- 59:19SPEAKER_04: So I started looking at people are offering to help me.
- 59:25SPEAKER_04: The next time someone offers to help me, let them help.
- 59:31SPEAKER_04: Step back, take your ego, put it in your back pocket, and let someone come and help you.
- 59:40SPEAKER_04: Or it was the feeling guilty about taking a nap, giving something to myself.
- 59:48SPEAKER_04: I said, you know, when I was younger, I used to take a day for myself.
- 59:54SPEAKER_04: No phones, nothing.
- 59:56SPEAKER_04: I would make dinner, I would light candles, I would take a nice bath, I would have a lovely dinner, I would put on music, and I never felt guilty.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_04: And if I want to do that now, I do that.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_04: I let everyone else in my house know I'm having me time and that's it.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_04: That's it.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_04: I don't care.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_04: I started off as small increments, five minutes of me time.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_04: Five minutes, I can do whatever I want.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_04: I don't have to answer anyone, I don't have to do something I don't want to do.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_04: If I just want to lay there and look at the ceiling, that's what I'm going to do for five minutes.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_04: It was so hard because at the three-minute mark, I was ready to get up.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_04: So I would set the alarm for five minutes and I did not get up for five minutes.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_04: You start in small increments, small increments of pleasure.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_04: Whether it's I'm gonna watch this show and I'm gonna sit here and I'm gonna eat this little bag of popcorn and I'm gonna be happy.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_04: I'm not gonna answer a phone call, I'm not gonna answer a work email, nothing.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_04: Now, if you have little people, that's a different story.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_04: Your time is gonna come once they go down for a nap or you or they go to bed.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_04: Then you say, I'm gonna take a few minutes, I'm gonna actually really scrub my face.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_04: I'm going to exfoliate my.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_02: So I feel like the the second thing they want to lead into, we've already we've already just done it.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_02: And that wasn't really on purpose, but sometimes, you know, the universe works in mysterious ways.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_02: What can you share about your upcoming masterclass without giving giving anything away that listeners can expect to gain?
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_02: Like what?
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_02: So is it what what are the what's a takeaway that you can share?
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_02: And I think what we just talked about is probably on that list somewhere, right?
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_02: But like what can people expect out of this masterclass that you have dropping soon?
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_04: Well, I'm gonna tell you you can always expect a little bit of tough love from me because um gonna give that.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_02: Is there any other kind, honestly?
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_02: If well, if love, if love isn't tough, it's not honest, and if it's not honest, it's not love.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_04: But you can and you can expect support, and at the end of it, you can wanna give it give that away.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_02: Don't give, don't give the ending away.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, you gotta you gotta tease them a little bit.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_04: But you can you will be able to physically see a transformation within yourself.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_04: You're going to, I guarantee that part.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_02: That's a I love, I love I love the uh it's but it's better than confidence.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_02: It's not just confidence, but I love I love that you guarantee that because that's a big that's a uh self-transformation is a that's a big uh goal, that's a big thing.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_04: So you definitely look at yourself different, yeah.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_04: You definitely see the difference from the beginning when you start to the end, you may even see it in the mid middle, you'll start to see something.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_04: You're like, hmm, your decisions will be different, the way you think will be different.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_02: So, how can our listeners connect with you in case they're inspired to check out the podcast, the collab podcast, or or once you're ready, sign up for the masterclass.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_02: Maybe even if they if they buy your book on Amazon and they read it, is there are like is there's no spoiler alerts, they can still do the masterclass, right?
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_02: Like they'll only be they'll be better prepared for the masterclass.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_04: Yes, and the encouragement is anyone who's taking the masterclass, the book is part of the masterclass.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_04: So it's best that you have the book too, because we're gonna use that.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_04: That's part of the tools, one of the tools to use for the class.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_04: So it's important because one thing I'm gonna say about a book a book is a tool, but if you don't use it and you don't know how to use it, it won't be helpful.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_02: If you don't use it, it's a paperweight.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_04: I like that too.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_04: It's a paperweight.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_02: I actually use the grapes of wrath as a yoga block when I did it recently.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_02: That's not what it was intended for.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_02: It's not, but I read it in like grammar school, and I gotta tell you, it was a tough read.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_02: It was a tough read for a little kid.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_02: I don't know why they made you do it that young.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_02: I feel like it was a lot.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_02: Uh so I I got back at it by putting some weight on it as a yoga block.
