- 1:27Speaker 2: too bad, but what did you expect.
- 1:29Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles twenty wine. Everybody welcome.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So I want to ask you a question about being
- 1:38Speaker 1: a dad.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah, go for it.
- 1:40Speaker 1: You have a bunch of kids. I have four kids. Yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 1: I mean, Kevin's also a dad, but you know he's newer.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You've got four and you've had him for a long time. Also,
- 1:48Speaker 1: that helmet's killing.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Your hitt in the mic. I feel like I'm hitting
- 1:51Speaker 3: the mic.
- 1:52Speaker 1: No no, But you have to like be a little louder. Yeah, okay,
- 1:55Speaker 1: since you're wearing the helmet.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I get the chin strap out of the way
- 1:57Speaker 4: or something.
- 1:58Speaker 1: He's got a new it's a blue dollar Cowboy home.
- 2:00Speaker 3: We sign this one.
- 2:01Speaker 1: That is hershcha Walker? Oh nice? And I'm wearing the
- 2:04Speaker 1: hog hat. Yes, And so if you're watching on video,
- 2:08Speaker 1: we like to give you a little extra, little little bonus,
- 2:11Speaker 1: little visual bonus, little something that being said, I had
- 2:15Speaker 1: a moment where I was thinking about my impending fatherhood
- 2:20Speaker 1: and does it make you far more selfless when you
- 2:24Speaker 1: have kids? Oh? Yes, Okay, so things selflessly speaking, will
- 2:32Speaker 1: be happening to me once I have a child that
- 2:34Speaker 1: probably I don't even realize.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Now, yes, you're going to be doing stuff and then
- 2:38Speaker 3: you're going to be like, I can't believe I did
- 2:40Speaker 3: that because I would have never done that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Well, I'm in the middle of a situation now, okay,
- 2:44Speaker 1: because obviously we're going to have a kid, and this
- 2:47Speaker 1: kid is going to be in a home divided. Oh
- 2:50Speaker 1: you in Arkansas. Now, the selfless in me would just
- 2:53Speaker 1: be like be an Ou football fan.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Because yeah, but I don't think you would do that.
- 2:58Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying because if I were really
- 3:01Speaker 1: looking out for the future of this child. I mean,
- 3:07Speaker 1: if it were true selflessness, yes, if it were not
- 3:11Speaker 1: about me at all, I would raise this kid to
- 3:17Speaker 1: be an OU football fan. Yeah. Now, I'm very selfish
- 3:22Speaker 1: when it comes to the situation. But will I be
- 3:25Speaker 1: so selfless that I will say this is not about
- 3:28Speaker 1: me anymore? Young child? You you will be you will
- 3:33Speaker 1: have a team that actually wins, and you will be
- 3:36Speaker 1: a Sooner.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Na not in that case, you don't think so no, no no,
- 3:39Speaker 3: in that case, like it's going to be all about
- 3:41Speaker 3: fighting your wife to make your child an Arkansas fan,
- 3:45Speaker 3: because dude, there's nothing cooler. And I've told you this before.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I have four boys, and one of them is one
- 3:51Speaker 3: hundred percent Cowboys fan, like die Hard. He's gonna go
- 3:54Speaker 3: down with us. He gets sad, he gets happy, he's
- 3:57Speaker 3: just like me. The other three are so wishy. She like,
- 4:01Speaker 3: if they're winning like you Cowboys, they're losing, they're like, eh.
- 4:04Speaker 3: One of them bought a a A Ravens jersey last year.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Like I'm like, dude, what are you doing?
- 4:10Speaker 1: So do you like it when they're sad with you?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Oh you do?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Okay, that's what I'm talking about.
- 4:15Speaker 1: But I see, if I'm truly selfless, if it weren't
- 4:17Speaker 1: about me, I would be probably sad. If they're sad.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It sounds like want your child to be Yes, I do,
- 4:25Speaker 1: right now, I do. I'm wear in this. Goddang hoghat
- 4:27Speaker 1: you just got humiliated by Missippi stated of course, I know,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but I really had that moment of misery where I
- 4:34Speaker 1: thought to myself, am I sure that I want to
- 4:38Speaker 1: raise someone in this world? And by this world I
- 4:40Speaker 1: mean an Arkansas razorback fan.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I mean I felt like that with the Cowboys, Like
- 4:43Speaker 3: do I really want to put them through this? And
- 4:45Speaker 3: I feel bad for them? They're born into it, right,
- 4:47Speaker 3: But dude, there's nothing better than having a team that
- 4:50Speaker 3: you've loved your entire life and your child feel the
- 4:53Speaker 3: same way.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Okay, they have nothing to do with it. I won't
- 4:56Speaker 1: be that selfless then. Nah, it's different. It's gonna be different.
- 4:59Speaker 4: You can't too much about that.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah. Something my wife pointed out though, is like, I
- 5:03Speaker 3: guess I've never realized this, but uh, when it's like
- 5:07Speaker 3: if she's not home and it's dinner time, like I
- 5:10Speaker 3: make the food for everyone, obviously, but I serve myself first,
- 5:14Speaker 3: and I just eat. She's like, have the boys eat,
- 5:18Speaker 3: and I'm like, no, but the food's ready, Like if
- 5:19Speaker 3: they want to, like, they.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Can get it. Is that because there are so many
- 5:23Speaker 1: in your house though, constantly competing for the food or
- 5:26Speaker 1: time or screens, that you just take care of yourself first.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Honestly, I think it comes down to me liking my
- 5:31Speaker 3: food hot.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Okay, well that is a much more simplistic answer than
- 5:35Speaker 1: I thought. And if I serve them first, my food's
- 5:37Speaker 1: gonna be cold. Is it also that they're getting old
- 5:40Speaker 1: enough to handle themselves? Of course, if they were two,
- 5:42Speaker 1: that will be done, like.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Get a plate and the food's right there, serve it yourself.
- 5:45Speaker 1: They can all do that by now they can't. Yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 1: Mike went to the Texas game. It was awesome for
- 5:51Speaker 1: about three quarters man, so started watching a Texas jumped
- 5:54Speaker 1: up ten zero. I was like, I'm not watching this crap.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm not watching Texas like run away with it. To
- 5:58Speaker 1: be honest, I was like this, So I don't like it.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I was room for Vanderbilt, but I did think Texas
- 6:02Speaker 1: was gonna win. I did say that, And so I
- 6:05Speaker 1: went to the mall with my wife, and they have
- 6:08Speaker 1: like a place in there called Sport and Social in
- 6:10Speaker 1: the mall. It's like, oh, it's a restaurant. I've been
- 6:13Speaker 1: there too, like a sports bar type thing. Huge, and
- 6:16Speaker 1: so we go in and we're we're going to Pottery
- 6:19Speaker 1: Barn to get some stuff. And I really didn't plan
- 6:23Speaker 1: to spend that eleven a m spot at the mall
- 6:27Speaker 1: on a Saturday, but I couldn't take watching Texas win.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And so we're going. I look in Sport and Social
- 6:33Speaker 1: and Vanderbilt's moving. It's near the end of the game
- 6:35Speaker 1: event and I'm like, oh my god, those last four
- 6:37Speaker 1: minutes almost threw up. That's where we and so we're there,
- 6:40Speaker 1: and I didn't want to go into Sport and Social,
- 6:42Speaker 1: but we stood like on the boundary and watch the screens.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I could have watched on my phone, but there, why
- 6:48Speaker 1: not If we were on my phone, though, I'd have
- 6:50Speaker 1: to be in the car driving. So we're watching and
- 6:53Speaker 1: the on side kick at the end, we're watching it live.
- 6:56Speaker 3: They had that dude.
- 6:58Speaker 1: That was crazy. I was surprised to see them come.
- 7:01Speaker 1: What happened. The defense just started giving everything up.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Paby had just thrown it pass, scoring a touchdown one play,
- 7:07Speaker 5: and then I just had visions of us going into
- 7:10Speaker 5: overtime again, and I was like, what is happening right now?
- 7:13Speaker 5: To that last play when it just went out of
- 7:14Speaker 5: bounds and we got the ball.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Was the crowd just so relieved? It was so it
- 7:19Speaker 1: was so everybody was so dejected.
- 7:20Speaker 5: People started leaving because they thought like, oh, this is.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It, we won, We're good to go. Oh they were
- 7:24Speaker 1: leaving because you want not because Vanderbilt was coming.
- 7:27Speaker 5: It wasn't even close, and it was like and then
- 7:29Speaker 5: people were like, Okay, oh they scored, Okay, we're good. Okay,
- 7:31Speaker 5: they're driving again. Okay, now it's close. That was it
- 7:33Speaker 5: with WINN three, and then everybody got just frustrated.
- 7:37Speaker 1: The energy just left that place. I'm glad for your
- 7:40Speaker 1: sake that you won. I'm glad for arch manning sake
- 7:43Speaker 1: that he played well.
- 7:44Speaker 4: He looked so good.
- 7:46Speaker 1: He did look pretty good. He did. He looked athletic,
- 7:49Speaker 1: which you gotta be playing well to look athletic. Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 1: like he broke. Vanderbilt was just missing so many tackles
- 7:55Speaker 1: the beginning of that game. Before I turned it off
- 7:57Speaker 1: a ten zero, Vanderbilt had missed like eighty first.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Play tydown like one pass, just straight easy, and I
- 8:05Speaker 5: was like, oh, this is going to be a lot easier.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I thought it was going to be.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Mike, did the stadium think that Vandy recovered that ball?
- 8:10Speaker 3: Like when they went out of bounce, Like did they
- 8:12Speaker 3: think what did you guys know immediately like Okay, well
- 8:15Speaker 3: that's good.
- 8:15Speaker 5: We thought Vandy had yet Okay really yeah, and then
- 8:18Speaker 5: the whole with the two point conversion and then giving
- 8:21Speaker 5: it to them, everybody was so upset.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah that's crazy, and watching it back through every different
- 8:27Speaker 1: angle because they gave it to them live right. I
- 8:32Speaker 1: just think that ball was if there was a laser line,
- 8:35Speaker 1: if there was a ball, they had a laser on
- 8:37Speaker 1: the tip. I don't even know watching it back all
- 8:41Speaker 1: those times what it was. I don't think you could
- 8:45Speaker 1: reverse it. I think they don't think that they were right.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I just think it was so close they couldn't reverse.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But it never looked like a crossed It looked like
- 8:54Speaker 1: if it were a laser laser, like you could see green.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It could have been tipped. But I saw an angle
- 8:59Speaker 1: from the state hands, I agree with you, especially from
- 9:02Speaker 1: some of the angles. It didn't even look close. But
- 9:04Speaker 1: I did see an angle from the stands where it
- 9:06Speaker 1: looked like the ball might have gone tip to tip,
- 9:11Speaker 1: like if you and I were standing at it right,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you know, it looked like yeah, yeah, but I agree.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I think it was so close that they couldn't overturn it.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It wasn't that it was confirmed. Do you guys agree
- 9:25Speaker 1: with that?
- 9:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I just DoD. It's so frustrating, like you talk like, oh,
- 9:29Speaker 3: a chip in the laser, do it.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Let's just do it, especially because we're betting on games,
- 9:34Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Doesn't soccer do that?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I don't think so you the Mexican what's funny is
- 9:41Speaker 1: he has no background in soccer, but him like, yes,
- 9:44Speaker 1: Linda's your expertise zero.
- 9:46Speaker 3: But I do watch soccer. I do watch soccer, and
- 9:48Speaker 3: they don't do on soccer. What is that technology in
- 9:50Speaker 3: tennis where everyone goes.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Well, that's bird's eye, And so they do that now
- 9:54Speaker 1: in the NFL with the first downs, but they never
- 9:56Speaker 1: get it up in time, like it's never well virtual, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: let's go to virtual. And then they wait and they're like, well,
- 10:02Speaker 1: we'll take a commercial break and we'll show you the
- 10:03Speaker 1: picture after the break. So yeah, I wish Vanderbilt would
- 10:09Speaker 1: have won. Obviously, I hate Texas, but I was glad
- 10:12Speaker 1: that since you were there. The worst is going to
- 10:14Speaker 1: a game where you don't live in the place. I
- 10:15Speaker 1: have to come back home. And then it was raining.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I was all wet. Yeah, and if we lose them
- 10:19Speaker 1: to leave this place so depressed.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Did you have field access? Yeah?
- 10:21Speaker 1: I was gonna ask how you got on the field. Yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 1: Taylor Cearles hooked it up. Who Taylor's awesome. She's so awesome.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Yeah, last year too, right, Yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's cool. Are you two and oh there? Or
- 10:32Speaker 1: you are?
- 10:32Speaker 5: I've never gone to a Texas game where they've lost.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Got a boy, I don't know if I said I'm
- 10:40Speaker 1: not going anymore. Uh so we did. We lost a
- 10:43Speaker 1: bad one in Mississippi State. We were never really a
- 10:45Speaker 1: threat to lose that game. I'm not gonna blame losing
- 10:48Speaker 1: to Well now the second worst team in the SEC.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I think we're probably the worst, or Kentucky. But Kentucky
- 10:55Speaker 1: beat Auburn, so it's like, no, it's us, it's now
- 10:57Speaker 1: that's officially it's hard to say that. But we were
- 11:00Speaker 1: winning that game in the whole time. It felt great
- 11:02Speaker 1: about it. I just pounded the money line. I lost
- 11:04Speaker 1: so much money on that game. Yeah, emotional, but but
- 11:07Speaker 1: I know I never was emotional about it. I never
- 11:10Speaker 1: felt bad about it. That team was so bad. We
- 11:13Speaker 1: can't really blame the refs, but it was terrible officiating.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Like there were they didn't blow the whistle on a
- 11:18Speaker 1: play at all, and so the running back's running and
- 11:21Speaker 1: our guy stands them up and just driving him. No whistle,
- 11:24Speaker 1: no whistle. Oh yeah, I do remember that one boom
- 11:26Speaker 1: puts him down. Ref thow is a flag? They never
- 11:28Speaker 1: blew the whistle to stop the play. Really yeah, And
- 11:30Speaker 1: they threw a flag off Patrino for yelling. So I agree,
- 11:34Speaker 1: But I was fighting. We fight amongst ourselves in Arkansas Twitter.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was like, you can't blame that on the refs
- 11:39Speaker 1: because that's a bad team. We're a bad team. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 1: it sucks, clear every I'll coach them.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Get the benefit of the down.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Then here, we're gonna talk to Brandon Marcella coming up
- 11:48Speaker 1: in a second. But they don't. It's not like they
- 11:51Speaker 1: come out with the objective. We really got to really
- 11:54Speaker 1: pump Missippi State Missisippi State up this week. They're important
- 11:57Speaker 1: to us. We got to make them win. That's never
- 11:58Speaker 1: happened in the history of the SEC. Yeah, so same
- 12:01Speaker 1: thing with Arkansas. They don't ever have an agenda to
- 12:02Speaker 1: make Arkansas Missippi State win. But you can't. Like we
- 12:06Speaker 1: rolled into the kicker. They won by three. We rolled
- 12:08Speaker 1: into the kicker, they kicked again and made the field goal.
- 12:10Speaker 1: It was a disaster anyway. I lost a bunch of money.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I don't even care about that. I would rather won
- 12:14Speaker 1: the game.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Did I see that the last SEC win was against
- 12:18Speaker 3: those teams were each against?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yes, against each other.
- 12:21Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 12:21Speaker 1: That's what we do. We're on the bottom level. We
- 12:24Speaker 1: just fight with each other.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Now here, it starts all over.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yes, I saw that slate. They put it off on TV.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I'm like, that's rude, guys, put that down.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this, what's my camera? This one here?
- 12:34Speaker 1: I want to say this to all Arkansas fans. I've
- 12:37Speaker 1: got hot intel on who really wants the job, and
- 12:41Speaker 1: it's It would make everybody go freaking crazy in a
- 12:45Speaker 1: good way or bad way. But if I share that intel,
- 12:51Speaker 1: my source will know that I shared the intel. Can
- 12:54Speaker 1: I tell you who it is? Yes, and you just
- 12:56Speaker 1: tell me the the honest reaction. I'll write it down, okay,
- 13:01Speaker 1: because you're gonna tell me what I'm gonna tell you
- 13:04Speaker 1: who it is who really wants the Arkansas job?
- 13:07Speaker 3: Okay, who wants the job, not the source?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Got it? Yes? And then you tell me how you
- 13:11Speaker 1: think our fans would react if this guy where the
- 13:14Speaker 1: coade Because I'm not saying he has a heads up
- 13:17Speaker 1: on the job. He really wants the job.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Okay, ready, Okay, noh, Arkansas. You would lose it.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You would lose it. You would hurt someone. That's what
- 13:33Speaker 1: I said to you.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that would not be good. Wow, that'd be crazy, dude,
- 13:37Speaker 3: that would be crazy. Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 1: So what's your reaction when you heard that? It was
- 13:45Speaker 1: supposed to get to me? Like I have anything to
- 13:47Speaker 1: do with it, because all I'm just hearing I have
- 13:49Speaker 1: coaches that reach out to mem hmm. But I have
- 13:52Speaker 1: chosen because of this job, and because I don't want
- 13:55Speaker 1: to have to give them any more money, because they
- 13:57Speaker 1: always want more money. If you want to know, have
- 13:58Speaker 1: more access, and I'm good I don't. I don't want
- 14:00Speaker 1: to be emotionally attached to it. I've flown too close
- 14:02Speaker 1: to the sun before. When they said, hey, he would
- 14:08Speaker 1: like you to know that he would like this job
- 14:12Speaker 1: if you could float anything to the powers that be.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I just thought to myself, mother, there is no way,
- 14:22Speaker 1: but I could totally see this happening. But can't you
- 14:25Speaker 1: see it happening?
- 14:25Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I could, and I'd see Oh man, yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 3: that'd be crazy, dude.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I see it being semi realistic, and I think Arkansas
- 14:35Speaker 1: fans would. I don't think it'd be a great day.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Are you so curious? Yeah? Yeah, I'm like, I don't know.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm not going to show you. Just don't put on
- 14:45Speaker 1: my camera. Yeah don't.
- 14:50Speaker 6: Oh I had like names in my head and I
- 14:56Speaker 6: would have been that never would have crossed my name.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So yeah, wow, the same thing. I was like, wow
- 15:02Speaker 1: really yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll move off because I
- 15:04Speaker 1: don't I don't want this to be the Arkansas Show,
- 15:06Speaker 1: but just sometimes it ends up being. But I won't
- 15:09Speaker 1: be able to get that out of my head.
- 15:10Speaker 3: No, I know you.
- 15:13Speaker 1: How do we do on the parlay? I didn't see.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I didn't see either.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Did I hit you hit? Thank God? I've hit like
- 15:21Speaker 1: I've hit like three or four in a row, and
- 15:23Speaker 1: you picked two Indiana and all the points they wanted to.
- 15:26Speaker 6: Yeah, that was the lock of the of the week,
- 15:28Speaker 6: fifty five to ten or something like that. So Brandon
- 15:31Speaker 6: had Vandy and he said two plus two and a half. Right, right,
- 15:36Speaker 6: But when I made the bed on Saturday, our bet
- 15:39Speaker 6: they were at plus three, so was it like so
- 15:42Speaker 6: on the app it was plus three. So I don't
- 15:44Speaker 6: know how we scored that. So anyway, it washed and push.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Okay, that's you kind of win. It's all right. Then
- 15:48Speaker 1: you hit yeah, and then you had and they lost
- 15:50Speaker 1: straight up. Yeah, I ruined this one.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Haynes King had over five hundred yards of offense and
- 15:56Speaker 6: they still got blown out.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that's insane.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And that's once coach Arkansas. It's King. That's how we
- 16:02Speaker 1: revealed it. It's a current player.
- 16:06Speaker 3: That's why you'd be mad.
- 16:09Speaker 4: So my bad.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Yeah we didn't win. Okay, football it's back, and so
- 16:14Speaker 1: is your chance to cash in like never before. With

- 16:58Speaker 3: Well, well, the Cowboys, I'm pretty real listic man.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Okay, Ceedee Lamb more or less than eighty receiving yards,
- 17:04Speaker 1: way more okay, Okay, Dak Prescott more or less than
- 17:10Speaker 1: two hundred and sixty seven passing yards.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I bet he gets two seventy.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Okay, so more just a little bit. Marvin Harrison Junior
- 17:16Speaker 1: more or less than fifty six receiving yards less.
- 17:19Speaker 3: They can shut them.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Down, guys, not bias at all.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Oh that secondary.
- 17:22Speaker 3: They won't even touch the ball, guys.
- 17:24Speaker 1: But I guess the thing, though, is Kyler's not starting
- 17:27Speaker 1: right Ja Kobe is they're saying though, that he could

- 18:26Speaker 1: All right, let's go over now to Brandon Marcelo, who
- 18:28Speaker 1: is a national college football reporter for CBS. You can
- 18:32Speaker 1: follow him on Instagram at Brandon Marcello. He is the guy.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Let's talk about college football now. We had another active weekend.
- 18:39Speaker 1: As far as there'll be some more job openings, I
- 18:43Speaker 1: guess I'm assuming you weren't surprised to see the Auburn
- 18:45Speaker 1: job open up after that game.
- 18:47Speaker 7: No, not at all. Whenever the fans are booing you
- 18:50Speaker 7: off the field and saying fire Hugh after a game there,
- 18:55Speaker 7: you're you're, you're, you're wrapped up. The fans there are great,
- 18:58Speaker 7: and they rarely like boo the head coach or really
- 19:03Speaker 7: the players ever. And so when that's happening there, it's
- 19:06Speaker 7: the decision has.
- 19:07Speaker 3: To be made.
- 19:08Speaker 1: What do you think went wrong?
- 19:13Speaker 7: I could have theories, but also just football. College football
- 19:17Speaker 7: has changed so much since Hugh Freeze was successful at
- 19:21Speaker 7: Ole Miss. You know, he'd had that belief that he
- 19:26Speaker 7: was the guy that could beat Nick Saban. He was
- 19:28Speaker 7: Nick Saban's kryptonite. But one, he's not around anymore. Two,
- 19:33Speaker 7: when Hugh Freeze was at Old Miss. He brought in
- 19:35Speaker 7: top five recruiting classes in an era where there was
- 19:39Speaker 7: no NIL and they were attracting cans at Ole Miss
- 19:44Speaker 7: through various means and Hugh Freese in this day and
- 19:48Speaker 7: age with NIL. To be successful, yes, you need a
- 19:52Speaker 7: program that is very well funded with that, which Auburn is,
- 19:56Speaker 7: but also you got to be a great CEO and
- 19:59Speaker 7: a great have a great eye for talent that's gonna
- 20:02Speaker 7: be able to come in and compliment your roster immediately.
- 20:05Speaker 7: And he Freeze couldn't quite do that. And they brought
- 20:09Speaker 7: him in because he's an offensive guy, and he just
- 20:11Speaker 7: they couldn't do anything offensively these three years, and they've
- 20:14Speaker 7: been even worse. I mean, you only score three points
- 20:17Speaker 7: against one of the worst defenses in the SEC, Kentucky,
- 20:22Speaker 7: and you lose ten to three at home. You go
- 20:25Speaker 7: to Arkansas and you score one offensive touchdown, which is
- 20:29Speaker 7: also one of the bottom two defenses in the in
- 20:31Speaker 7: the SEC. You can't figure out who should be your
- 20:34Speaker 7: starting quarterback. Despite bringing in OU's Jackson Arnold at a
- 20:39Speaker 7: price tag of about a million and a half dollars
- 20:42Speaker 7: from what I understand, that's that's why you hired him.
- 20:47Speaker 7: Was for your offense look good and it looks worse
- 20:49Speaker 7: than it did under Brian Harson, which is I can't
- 20:53Speaker 7: believe I'm saying it, but it's absolutely true. Just go
- 20:55Speaker 7: look at the numbers.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Do you think that Stoops is next to go? He
- 20:58Speaker 1: just happened to win this game, so we got another
- 21:00Speaker 1: week pass.
- 21:01Speaker 7: I don't know. That's a much more difficult situation because
- 21:04Speaker 7: his buyout's about thirty eight million dollars and it's all
- 21:08Speaker 7: due within sixty days. They don't pay it out over years.
- 21:12Speaker 7: I mean, someone have to bring up a big check
- 21:15Speaker 7: and like the happy Gilmore check and sign it off
- 21:18Speaker 7: because that I don't know where they can get that money.
- 21:23Speaker 7: I think the best thing to happen Kentucky all week
- 21:25Speaker 7: wasn't the start of the basketball season coming up, but
- 21:28Speaker 7: the fact that they beat Auburn because for now they
- 21:30Speaker 7: could go, Okay, we don't have to write that check
- 21:32Speaker 7: right now.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Let's stay in the SEC. Texas. Big win. Almost blew it,
- 21:36Speaker 1: but big win. Are they good again?
- 21:38Speaker 7: You know they've always been good because of the talent.
- 21:41Speaker 7: Whether they could put it all together and make a
- 21:44Speaker 7: runs of the playoff, we'll see. They still have some
- 21:47Speaker 7: very difficult games on the schedule. They're in a position
- 21:51Speaker 7: where they could potentially get in as a three loss
- 21:53Speaker 7: team and be the first three loss team to ever
- 21:55Speaker 7: get in, because their resume would be probably deserving of it.
- 21:58Speaker 7: You know, they've got two opponents left that are like
- 22:01Speaker 7: top five worthy, and if you split those, I think
- 22:06Speaker 7: you'll have enough good of a resume there to make
- 22:08Speaker 7: an argument for them to get in. Plus, the ACC
- 22:11Speaker 7: and Big Twelve are looking more and more like one
- 22:14Speaker 7: bid leagues in the playoff this year, and that's gonna
- 22:17Speaker 7: help out the Big ten in the SEC, but it's
- 22:19Speaker 7: gonna help out the SEC more so because the Big
- 22:23Speaker 7: ten so top heavy. You probably only really have three
- 22:26Speaker 7: teams out of the Big ten that deserve a spot too.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The ACC bad luck with Miami losing again, they have
- 22:33Speaker 1: to win the conference championship. Now, can they still get in?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Can Miami get in still?
- 22:37Speaker 7: They have to win the ACC championship. That's the only way.
- 22:40Speaker 7: In my opinion, I think the ACC is just a
- 22:43Speaker 7: one bid league now. They'll be the ACC champion whoever
- 22:46Speaker 7: wins it. So we could sit here and discuss like, well,
- 22:49Speaker 7: what about this team, It's just gonna be one of
- 22:51Speaker 7: the two teams in the AEC Championship game, and that's it.
- 22:54Speaker 7: The ACC is kind of bitting it, beating itself down,
- 22:57Speaker 7: and Miami's been the worst thing that could have happened
- 23:01Speaker 7: in them, you know, other than Florida State earlier this
- 23:03Speaker 7: season going on this losing streak, but Miami falling the
- 23:06Speaker 7: way they have here in recent weeks is just really
- 23:09Speaker 7: damaged the conference.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'd like to present a new theory, as I often
- 23:13Speaker 1: do every week, and most of them are pretty stupid.
- 23:15Speaker 1: But I think a lot of these teams that are
- 23:17Speaker 1: firing coaches now are going to look at this season
- 23:20Speaker 1: as the first season of true parody and that all
- 23:24Speaker 1: of this losing isn't so indicative of the coaching but
- 23:28Speaker 1: the new environment of college football. And there will probably
- 23:30Speaker 1: be some of these jobs that shouldn't have lost their
- 23:33Speaker 1: head coach this year. I think the losing is so
- 23:36Speaker 1: new to the culture, and everybody's losing more because of
- 23:40Speaker 1: portal nil and I think there are going to be
- 23:42Speaker 1: some schools. I'm not putting Arkansas on that mix. I
- 23:44Speaker 1: think that made the right decision. There are going to
- 23:46Speaker 1: be some schools that look back and go, we probably
- 23:48Speaker 1: shouldn't have cut our guy that quick, because now everybody
- 23:52Speaker 1: just loses more.
- 23:53Speaker 7: Your thoughts, Wow, that'd be a great saying for the SEC.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Everybody just loses more. I'd like to see that commercial.
- 24:01Speaker 7: We need to redo that commercial on the beach.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Uh.
- 24:07Speaker 7: You know, you look across you know, a lot of
- 24:09Speaker 7: these firings have been warranted. I don't know if I
- 24:14Speaker 7: agree with the Brian Kelly firing. It's just everything has
- 24:17Speaker 7: to be contextualized, right. But like a lot of these situations,
- 24:21Speaker 7: it's interesting. I think Brian Kelly at LSU and Hugh
- 24:24Speaker 7: Freeze at Auburn were very much alike in that I
- 24:28Speaker 7: think Brian Kelly was checked out quite a bit, and
- 24:30Speaker 7: I do think Hugh Freeze, for multiple reasons, was a
- 24:34Speaker 7: bit checked out because you know, he was golfing all
- 24:37Speaker 7: the time. He's been dealing with health issues himself, as
- 24:42Speaker 7: we've known in the past. But also I think Hugh Freeze,
- 24:46Speaker 7: ever since he got fired at ole Miss, was always
- 24:48Speaker 7: just trying to get back to the SEC, and I
- 24:52Speaker 7: think once he got there it was like mission accomplished.
- 24:54Speaker 7: I accomplished my goal. He didn't really have goals beyond that.
- 24:57Speaker 7: And I think that and in this day and agent
- 25:00Speaker 7: don't know how to adapt anyway. So it's just like
- 25:02Speaker 7: I made it. I proved, I proved myself, and I
- 25:05Speaker 7: think Brian Kelly to a certain extent, was that way
- 25:07Speaker 7: at LSU because he's like, I did everything I couldn't
- 25:10Speaker 7: notre Dame. I'm gonna go to LSU and everything will
- 25:14Speaker 7: just fall in place, and that's that's just not how
- 25:16Speaker 7: it goes, and that's a danger I think that people
- 25:18Speaker 7: need to learn here getting retread coaches. You better make
- 25:22Speaker 7: sure that guy's like still got that hunger and that
- 25:25Speaker 7: fire in his belly. Otherwise you're gonna repeat what the
- 25:28Speaker 7: exact mistakes that LSU and Auburn just had.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I would probably try to be unbiased and put the
- 25:33Speaker 1: Auburn job ahead of the Arkansas job. So I think
- 25:35Speaker 1: Arkansas is now probably five overall. I would go number
- 25:40Speaker 1: one job is obviously LSU, and then Florida, Penn State, Auburn, Arkansas.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Would you write them the same?
- 25:50Speaker 7: I'm trying to go back here, actually, because I actually
- 25:52Speaker 7: did something like this. You're probably gonna hate me because
- 25:55Speaker 7: I do not have Arkansas that high. And it pains
- 25:58Speaker 7: me to say that as a fellow or cans and.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You think Virginia Tech's dotage job.
- 26:03Speaker 7: Yes right now because of the commitment financially and the
- 26:09Speaker 7: plan they have in place. Until I hear different for Arkansas,
- 26:12Speaker 7: Virginia techs above them. Virginia Tech's going to raise their
- 26:16Speaker 7: average budget by almost sixty million dollars a year with
- 26:19Speaker 7: the athletics department. They've got that in place, so they're
- 26:23Speaker 7: trying to you know, they've got a planet place. So
- 26:26Speaker 7: the way I got I got LSU one despite all
- 26:29Speaker 7: that craziness in the background. Two A and two B
- 26:33Speaker 7: I think is the tie Florida and Auburn, and then
- 26:36Speaker 7: below that I got Penn State, Virginia Tech, Arkansas.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty close. But does Virginia Tech. Do they get
- 26:44Speaker 1: to wear this on their head?
- 26:46Speaker 3: Yes?
- 26:46Speaker 1: Or no? Hey don't That's right.
- 26:48Speaker 7: They do wear hard hats. Yeah, got the hard hats.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Those are easy, get those at any home depot. This
- 26:53Speaker 1: you have to get at a specific place that molded
- 26:55Speaker 1: this plastic exactly like a hog. That's all I'm saying there.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Brandon Marcella, Georgia down another one. Does that mean they're
- 27:01Speaker 1: a gritty team or they're just maybe not as dominant.
- 27:03Speaker 7: They're not as dominant. I've been saying all year with
- 27:07Speaker 7: their defense, the defensive line just isn't the type of
- 27:10Speaker 7: defensive line that just puts fear into opponents. They're not
- 27:14Speaker 7: getting a lot of TfL's a lot of sacks this season.
- 27:18Speaker 7: Their offense is just great enough, but it's not elite.
- 27:23Speaker 7: They just simply kind of suffocate everybody because they have
- 27:25Speaker 7: more talent in the end. Also, George's actually got some
- 27:29Speaker 7: breaks this year, especially officiating in replays. I mean, remember
- 27:33Speaker 7: the Auburn game weeks back where Auburn had a touchdown
- 27:37Speaker 7: taking off the board. And you also look at this
- 27:40Speaker 7: past week where it looked like the Florida receiver caught
- 27:42Speaker 7: that ball right inside the end of the red zone
- 27:45Speaker 7: where Florida could have went up they're late, but they
- 27:47Speaker 7: rolled it in complete on the field and then the
- 27:49Speaker 7: review didn't have enough evidence to overturnament. Looked like a
- 27:52Speaker 7: catch to me. But this team looks very similar to
- 27:57Speaker 7: the one that lost last season in the playoffs right
- 28:01Speaker 7: to Notre Dame, where they just kind of they're going
- 28:03Speaker 7: to meet someone in the postseason where they're just not
- 28:07Speaker 7: going to be as schematically good and they're gonna get
- 28:11Speaker 7: beat that's my opinion. I don't think they're going to
- 28:13Speaker 7: be a team that makes it deep in the playoffs
- 28:15Speaker 7: once again, that they're just gonna be good enough to
- 28:17Speaker 7: compete in the SEC, maybe contend for the SEC championship,
- 28:21Speaker 7: but then lose at some point in the playoff.
- 28:23Speaker 1: We had Alex Gola Sean and there were a couple
- 28:26Speaker 1: of new stories that came out. They said I cornered him.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I didn't corn them. I want okay. I walked him gently.
- 28:34Speaker 1: At the very first of the interview, I said, hey,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm not going to ask you about any job. And
- 28:38Speaker 1: I said it to him, I said, so, I know
- 28:40Speaker 1: everybody wants to ask you that I will not ask
- 28:41Speaker 1: you a single question about any job. And at the
- 28:43Speaker 1: end of it said, hey, favel in the fall. How
- 28:45Speaker 1: does it sound his wife is from Greenwood? The whole thing.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I didn't corner him. He had a good it's a
- 28:50Speaker 1: good guy. I like him. What are you hearing about him?
- 28:53Speaker 7: He'd be someone that Arkansas is interested in. Yep, yeah, yeah,
- 28:57Speaker 7: and his name is probably gonna come up some other jobs. Well, listen,
- 29:01Speaker 7: I know that this is kind of hard to grasp,
- 29:03Speaker 7: even for me as a reporter. We're still so early
- 29:06Speaker 7: in the coaching carousel cycle. I mean, we might have
- 29:09Speaker 7: nine FBS jobs open right at Power Conference jobs right now,
- 29:12Speaker 7: which is crazy. But it's early November, first week of November,
- 29:17Speaker 7: and we're not going to start hearing like legit candidates
- 29:20Speaker 7: and where they stand with jobs until Thanksgiving week, probably
- 29:25Speaker 7: based off of the past. But Goalish is a name
- 29:28Speaker 7: that's been coming up at Arkansas. So is Eric Morris,
- 29:31Speaker 7: the North Texas coach. But what's going to be fascinating
- 29:34Speaker 7: to see is whether those their names start coming up
- 29:37Speaker 7: in the most recent job openings, not necessarily as a
- 29:40Speaker 7: top target, but as someone that could be involved and
- 29:43Speaker 7: if And the reason why I say that's important is
- 29:45Speaker 7: because if you're involved with a coaching search as a candidate,
- 29:48Speaker 7: you can use that as a negotiating tactic with other
- 29:52Speaker 7: jobs that you maybe have a more realistic job opportunity
- 29:57Speaker 7: to jump at and get. But you know, I've got
- 30:00Speaker 7: my own opinions on like who should hire who?
- 30:02Speaker 1: Yeah, let's do it, let's go.
- 30:05Speaker 7: I mean Lsu Yeah, sure, l s U. Lane Kiffin
- 30:10Speaker 7: if you can get him, If you can't get him,
- 30:13Speaker 7: to hire John Summer all at too.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Lane, I like this I like best case and then
- 30:17Speaker 1: fall back. That's what I like. All Right, so we
- 30:19Speaker 1: got that's LSU. Then let's go to Florida.
- 30:22Speaker 7: Lane Kiffin and if not, if not Lane Kiff and
- 30:26Speaker 7: Eli Drinkowitz.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I listen, I love drink I love them like I
- 30:31Speaker 1: think that dude is such an outside the box thinker.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And you know, my own brethren, brethren, they do not
- 30:36Speaker 1: love him, mostly because we get run over by him.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I love him. I've had him on multiple shows. He'll
- 30:40Speaker 1: he'll be awesome wherever he goes. I think he'd be
- 30:42Speaker 1: perfect for that Florida job. Do you think he would
- 30:44Speaker 1: take it?
- 30:45Speaker 7: It's a great question. I do think that he has
- 30:47Speaker 7: to weigh all that. I think it'll come down to
- 30:49Speaker 7: financial resources. Missoo's in a pretty good spot financially. It's
- 30:53Speaker 7: just like, but maybe you can go to Florida and
- 30:56Speaker 7: just get that next level up of talent.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Okay, let's stoop and date.
- 31:03Speaker 7: That's the job. I don't know. They swung and missed
- 31:07Speaker 7: on Matt Rule. He got the contract extension last week,
- 31:11Speaker 7: and that is going to be fascinating to watch. They're
- 31:16Speaker 7: trying to swing big there. Well, we'll see, but I
- 31:20Speaker 7: need to recalibrate that and talk to some people.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Then let's go to Auburn brand.
- 31:26Speaker 7: New John Summer all at Tulane and I would make
- 31:31Speaker 7: it very clear to him you are top target. Don't
- 31:33Speaker 7: go sitting around waiting for LSU or other schools. We
- 31:36Speaker 7: want you. You're our guy. Come home. You're an Alabama guy,
- 31:40Speaker 7: you are from Huntsville, Alabama, your wife went to Auburn,
- 31:45Speaker 7: Come home, lead SEC program. I'm gonna give you everything
- 31:47Speaker 7: you want. And his personality fits in well, I think
- 31:50Speaker 7: culturally with that program job. And if not him, If
- 31:54Speaker 7: not him, I would look at like an Eli Drinkowitz
- 31:58Speaker 7: once again, he's got Auburn ties himself. And I would
- 32:02Speaker 7: maybe even do wild card stuff. I would I would
- 32:05Speaker 7: look at the possibility of how it would work of
- 32:08Speaker 7: getting Jimbo Fisher.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Dang, the fan base would riot. The fan bases are
- 32:13Speaker 1: usually stupid, but regardless of every fan base, because the loudest
- 32:16Speaker 1: stupid ones are the ones that make the most noise.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I think the fan base would riot if they hired
- 32:20Speaker 1: Jimbo Fisher.
- 32:22Speaker 7: Yeah, but that's a job he's always come close to
- 32:26Speaker 7: almost getting several times in the past. He's got connections there.
- 32:31Speaker 7: He used to go hunting right outside Auburn quite a bit.
- 32:34Speaker 7: He might still, but yeah, and also if I'm Auburn,
- 32:40Speaker 7: I would just be crazy enough to reach back out
- 32:42Speaker 7: to Lane Kiffin because Lane almost took that job a
- 32:45Speaker 7: few years ago. And I would circle back just and go, hey,
- 32:48Speaker 7: you certain this time. I know those other jobs, but
- 32:51Speaker 7: maybe you come here and we'll give this to you.
- 32:52Speaker 7: But Auburn's gonna get a good coach this go around?
- 32:56Speaker 1: Am I right to say that that job is a
- 32:58Speaker 1: bit more attractive since the last time it was open
- 33:00Speaker 1: because Nick Saban is no longer across the street.
- 33:04Speaker 7: That but also the talents is much better. The roster
- 33:08Speaker 7: is set up to win. I mean, this roster this
- 33:11Speaker 7: year should have won eight or nine games. It's been
- 33:13Speaker 7: coaching malfeasons this year, and that roster going next year
- 33:17Speaker 7: depending on who they keep. And then also they get
- 33:20Speaker 7: a lot of good guys in the transfer portal, they
- 33:21Speaker 7: make a higher early enough that that's a roster that
- 33:24Speaker 7: can win eight to nine games right off the bat.
- 33:26Speaker 1: In year one, Arkansas.
- 33:33Speaker 7: Eric Morris and then my second would be Alex Gullish.
- 33:37Speaker 7: I would be happy with either of them. I think
- 33:39Speaker 7: they would both be great HighRes Eric Morris. The reason
- 33:43Speaker 7: why I'm so high on Eric Morris is because he
- 33:47Speaker 7: has identified talent everywhere he's gone. He's the guy who
- 33:50Speaker 7: got cam Ward, He's the guy who got John Mattier
- 33:54Speaker 7: at Washington State, and now he's got a quarterback at
- 33:57Speaker 7: North Texas that's just shattering records and they're all diamonds.
- 34:00Speaker 7: And the rough his quarterback now in North Texas de
- 34:02Speaker 7: even play high school football as a senior, was a
- 34:05Speaker 7: no star recruit and now he's shattering records in their
- 34:08Speaker 7: contention for the American Conference. Plus his offense is really exciting.
- 34:12Speaker 7: Same with Alex Golish and Alice Golish, as you mentioned earlier,
- 34:15Speaker 7: has connections to the state of Arkansas. His wife's from Greenwood.
- 34:19Speaker 7: I would zero in on those two candidates, but when
- 34:21Speaker 7: it comes to Eric Morris, they'll have to fight Oklahoma
- 34:25Speaker 7: State potentially for him.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Okay, that was my next f two more Oklahoma State
- 34:29Speaker 1: and UCLA.
- 34:32Speaker 7: Oklahoma State, Eric Morris, and then maybe you look at
- 34:36Speaker 7: Zach Robinson, former Oklahoma State player now in the NFL.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I think Franklin goes to Virginia Tech. Is why didn't
- 34:44Speaker 1: even mention them. Do you think Franklin goes to Virginia Tech.
- 34:47Speaker 7: I think that process is gonna have to work itself out.
- 34:49Speaker 7: I think I think he's going to have to sit
- 34:52Speaker 7: here and wait to see if he might end up
- 34:53Speaker 7: being involved at some of these other bigger jobs if
- 34:56Speaker 7: those bigger jobs don't get their number ones. And for
- 34:59Speaker 7: that matter, Franklin can sell himself as Listen, I'm ready
- 35:03Speaker 7: to go now. You don't have to wait on me.
- 35:04Speaker 7: I come in and build things up. We're not going
- 35:06Speaker 7: to miss early signing day in early December. We're not
- 35:09Speaker 7: going to miss the transfer portal window there on January second.
- 35:13Speaker 7: Bring me in and I'll get a staff together and
- 35:15Speaker 7: we'll hit the ground running. So I think he's going
- 35:17Speaker 7: to play this out a little bit for the next
- 35:19Speaker 7: few weeks.
- 35:19Speaker 1: All right, do UCLA and have one final question.
- 35:23Speaker 7: I don't know about UCLA, but I haven't heard his
- 35:27Speaker 7: name come up. It'd be two names, but I think
- 35:29Speaker 7: one of them want to take it. Jason Eck at
- 35:32Speaker 7: New Mexico. He's just phenomenal and so much fun to watch,
- 35:37Speaker 7: and then Dan Mullan at UNLV, but I don't think
- 35:39Speaker 7: he would take the job at UCLA. I'll give you
- 35:42Speaker 7: a third name, Will Stein, the offensive coordinator at Oregon.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I know Dan Molland is not gonn take the Arkansas job.
- 35:48Speaker 1: He tweeted that late at night. Yeah, he was like, hey,
- 35:51Speaker 1: well there is a guy that you should go after
- 35:54Speaker 1: and it's not me. And I thought that was pretty funny.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Took it down. I wish you would have taken it
- 35:57Speaker 1: down because I did.
- 35:58Speaker 7: Oh, he took it down.
- 35:59Speaker 1: He took it down yet. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 36:02Speaker 7: Mean, listen, I know Arkansas fans probably wouldn't be all
- 36:04Speaker 7: that high on it, but it would be better. Gus
- 36:09Speaker 7: Maleson would be better than what they've had are. I
- 36:12Speaker 7: want to tell you that right now. He would bring
- 36:14Speaker 7: in recruits. He would recruit, he would get, he'd have
- 36:17Speaker 7: a good staff, and I think because it's home for him,
- 36:22Speaker 7: there would be an understanding there that this is I
- 36:27Speaker 7: He would be rejuvenated in a lot of ways. But
- 36:29Speaker 7: I can understand why because of the past. I mean,
- 36:32Speaker 7: he came close taking the Arkansas job back in twenty seventeen,
- 36:36Speaker 7: and then he stuck at Auburn, and then Arkansas went
- 36:39Speaker 7: and got a Gus Mauson clone, which was Chad Morris,
- 36:42Speaker 7: and that guy was an absolute not a clone. He
- 36:44Speaker 7: was like you ever see the movie Multiplicity with Michael Keaton.
- 36:47Speaker 7: He was like the tenth copy of Gus.
- 36:50Speaker 1: He was yeah, Tim Mouzon exactly all right. Final question, Uh,
- 36:58Speaker 1: top four teams get to buy unlike I share with
- 37:00Speaker 1: the Big four conferences got to buy it. Just top
- 37:02Speaker 1: four this year. If you were slotting them now, who
- 37:05Speaker 1: would get the buys?
- 37:06Speaker 7: Ohio State, Indiana? Maybe Old Miss and over A and
- 37:16Speaker 7: m huh No, you're right A and m over Old
- 37:21Speaker 7: Miss and I'm blanking. I mean, I just did my rankings.
- 37:30Speaker 1: I don't think YU is good enough. They're still undefeated.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I think if they went out though, they probably have
- 37:34Speaker 1: a shot. If you're do you turn away an undefeated
- 37:36Speaker 1: BYU though as a.
- 37:38Speaker 7: Buy Well, what helps BYU in this is that we
- 37:42Speaker 7: still have conference championships around. So if one of these
- 37:45Speaker 7: teams were to lose their confen championship game, they're gonna
- 37:48Speaker 7: fall completely out of that top four. And the reason
- 37:50Speaker 7: why I say that's important is because you've got several
- 37:53Speaker 7: SEC teams that could be top four teams, like even
- 37:56Speaker 7: right now in the first CFP rankings. So here's how
- 37:59Speaker 7: I'd have it, I'd have it right today. It would
- 38:01Speaker 7: be Indiana, Ohio, State, Alabama, then Texas, A and M.
- 38:05Speaker 7: So I would have Alabama over in A and M
- 38:08Speaker 7: right now.
- 38:08Speaker 1: All right there he has Brandon Marcelo on Instagram at

- 39:20Speaker 1: WA had a work party for Halloween. Yeah, I obviously
- 39:23Speaker 1: didn't go. I didn't either, I say obviously, because I
- 39:25Speaker 1: don't go to any party, regardless of work or nine.
- 39:28Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, but I wouldn't have been surprised to
- 39:31Speaker 1: hear that you went.
- 39:31Speaker 3: To the work party. I just had to go.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I had to leave it one there, Kevin, you went,
- 39:35Speaker 1: I did. Is it because you were already in the
- 39:37Speaker 1: building or did you stay in the building to go
- 39:39Speaker 1: to the party?
- 39:39Speaker 6: No, it's because I was already there. I didn't participate
- 39:41Speaker 6: in everything because we were working. It was during the morning,
- 39:44Speaker 6: but after we wrapped up.
- 39:45Speaker 1: What time did they have the party?
- 39:47Speaker 3: Like start morning.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 6: Yeah, and then like they had bagels and all this stuff.
- 39:54Speaker 6: I didn't participate in any of that hanging out, and
- 39:56Speaker 6: then they took a picture. I literally just ran in
- 39:58Speaker 6: there when I heard they're taking the picture, and I
- 39:59Speaker 6: took it.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Oh so you didn't go to the party. You just
- 40:01Speaker 1: took a picture from the party.
- 40:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 4: And I just kind of said, hey, guys, I'm here
- 40:04Speaker 4: dressed up too.
- 40:05Speaker 1: And you wore your belichick got it? Yes, the one
- 40:08Speaker 1: that you thought I just wore. Did you get like
- 40:09Speaker 1: a bonus or something? Why were you so set on
- 40:11Speaker 1: getting in the picture? Some who can?
- 40:13Speaker 6: I think Lunchbox came in and he was like, hey,
- 40:15Speaker 6: they're taking the picture. I was like, you know what,
- 40:16Speaker 6: I didn't dress up for nothing. I'm going out there
- 40:18Speaker 6: to get something out of this, and uh yeah, it's
- 40:22Speaker 6: it was cool even though I didn't participate. But there's
- 40:25Speaker 6: some people at work that you know, you only see
- 40:28Speaker 6: every now and then. Salespeople come in like what twice
- 40:30Speaker 6: a week maybe, and when they're dressed up, I'm like,
- 40:32Speaker 6: I really.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Don't know who you are. Oh, you mean as a
- 40:35Speaker 1: in the costume?
- 40:36Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 40:36Speaker 4: Yeah, So it's a little awkward, but I got in
- 40:38Speaker 4: the picture.
- 40:38Speaker 1: We used to have even before you were at the company.
- 40:41Speaker 1: We used to have massive Christmas parties, oh, like where
- 40:43Speaker 1: the whole company was alcohol and the local part of
- 40:47Speaker 1: the company. Yeah, and it would be they would give
- 40:50Speaker 1: out freaking sixty inch TVs.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Oh damn is crazy.
- 40:54Speaker 1: It's like a different time. It's like I'm talking about madmen,
- 40:57Speaker 1: like the fifties. Yeah, like money was flowing.
- 41:00Speaker 3: You know what though, when I first had my first
- 41:03Speaker 3: job out of like I was actually still in high school,
- 41:06Speaker 3: maybe my first year in college, I had a job
- 41:08Speaker 3: at the TV station and they had a Christmas party
- 41:10Speaker 3: and this was my this was my first view into
- 41:12Speaker 3: the real world. And like their Christmas party was at
- 41:15Speaker 3: a hotel. Everyone got a room. There was an unlimited alcohol,
- 41:20Speaker 3: and like it was awesome. I asked this girl, I'm like,
- 41:23Speaker 3: do you want to go with me? And then I
- 41:24Speaker 3: was like, I have a hotel room. This is amazing.
- 41:27Speaker 3: We didn't even use it because they.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Gave you a hotel room. Yeah, dude, I was nineteen
- 41:30Speaker 1: years old and I'm like, you're giving me a hotel room.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I've never been anything that was crazy. Yeah, you missed it.
- 41:36Speaker 1: You missed the good old days.
- 41:37Speaker 6: Oh no, I hear all the time these parties. I
- 41:40Speaker 6: heard you have these parties. Yeah, hey, the good old days.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Uh. Did anybody have trouble watching games?
- 41:45Speaker 3: Oh?
- 41:45Speaker 1: Yeah, YouTube TV? So I went and downloaded the day
- 41:49Speaker 1: pass on Sling. Didn't even know that. Talking about what
- 41:52Speaker 1: happened if you have YouTube TV there as of as
- 41:55Speaker 1: we're recording this late Sunday night, you have no ABC
- 41:58Speaker 1: or no Disney. Oh dang, meant no ESPN. Oh and
- 42:02Speaker 1: Arkansas was on sc network Game Day that's ESPN. Yeah. Yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 1: so there was nothing, so you had to find a way,
- 42:08Speaker 1: and so you were scrambling, scrammed. I was like Grandpa
- 42:11Speaker 1: and usual, pretty tech on. I ended up going and
- 42:14Speaker 1: downloading Sling and they have a one day option. You
- 42:17Speaker 1: can pay six bucks to have TV for a day. Yeah,
- 42:20Speaker 1: and that's what I did in order to watch the games.
- 42:22Speaker 3: That's like one of the shady hotels.
- 42:24Speaker 6: Do they they don't have multiview? Do they like YouTube TV?
- 42:27Speaker 6: That's the worst part.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Oh easy, guys, that's how I live my life. I
- 42:29Speaker 1: don't have multi pas.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's with me every weekend. Really, yes, back
- 42:34Speaker 3: and forth, it's.
- 42:34Speaker 6: To oh dude, you gotta change that hard, well, not yet,
- 42:36Speaker 6: wait for them to sign the contract then change it.
- 42:39Speaker 1: We just had two games we wanted to watch, and
- 42:41Speaker 1: it was the Arkansas Misssippi State game at three and
- 42:43Speaker 1: the Oklahoma Tennessee game at six thirty. So we bought
- 42:46Speaker 1: the day bats and kept those on. I watched the
- 42:48Speaker 1: World Series on my phone because the World Series was
- 42:51Speaker 1: not on one of the Disney properties. So that was Yeah,
- 42:55Speaker 1: that was good, which was crazy because I turned that
- 42:57Speaker 1: on in like the fourth inning. Feels a bit even
- 43:01Speaker 1: though it was Game seven in a great World Series,
- 43:02Speaker 1: it feels a bit like baseballs, like the NBA, Like
- 43:04Speaker 1: I just watched second half and really just fourth quarter.
- 43:06Speaker 3: H Yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Yes, So I watched a little on and off while
- 43:11Speaker 1: I was watching the Oklahoma game, and then about the
- 43:13Speaker 1: seventh inning, I dial didn't ready to watch a Blue
- 43:15Speaker 1: Jay's victory. Yeah, holy crap, what a crazy, crazy ending. Yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 1: really one of the crazier like live baseball World Series
- 43:23Speaker 1: endings I've ever seen.
- 43:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I turned it on in the eighth inning, I believe,
- 43:26Speaker 4: and I was.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Like perfect, yeah, perfect, But that was perfect.
- 43:28Speaker 6: Yeah, because I saw all the big plays that everyone's
- 43:31Speaker 6: watching throughout the weekend, and yeah, it was wild. Those
- 43:33Speaker 6: back back plays in the ninth inning, Yeah, that the the.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Home runners made well.
- 43:37Speaker 6: First of the home run, yeah, then the two plays
- 43:39Speaker 6: the infield and then the pop fly out there that
- 43:41Speaker 6: was wild.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Yeah he was falling back. Yeah at second after he
- 43:45Speaker 1: hit the home run, makes him play at home and
- 43:47Speaker 1: then after that to play on the outfield. New center
- 43:49Speaker 1: fielder comes in. Yep. It was amazing. The Dodgers were
- 43:52Speaker 1: supposed to win that because everything that happened was like,
- 43:55Speaker 1: oh my god.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:57Speaker 6: So once they got within one run, I put twenty
- 43:59Speaker 6: bucks on the till, like they're gonna win this thing.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Didn't think it was gonna be like that, but it
- 44:02Speaker 4: was wild.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I didn't feel very patriotic because I was rooting for Toronto.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I couldn't have been more of Canada because the Dodgers
- 44:10Speaker 1: are what's wrong with baseball. Yeah, but I wished the
- 44:14Speaker 1: couplet spend that kind of money. Like, I'm not a
- 44:16Speaker 1: hater on it. They're just playing by the rules better.
- 44:20Speaker 1: There is no salary cap, so by all the best players.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I saw the funniest meme though. It was like fans
- 44:25Speaker 1: of the Dodgers and it was like a bunch of
- 44:26Speaker 1: Mexican dudes, and it was like players of the Dodgers
- 44:29Speaker 1: and like a K pop band.
- 44:32Speaker 3: That's pretty fu.
- 44:33Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Their pitcher won MVP right.
- 44:35Speaker 1: The game six and seven.
- 44:36Speaker 4: He was a winner for.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Game six and seven.
- 44:37Speaker 3: He was the one that pitched like almost the whole
- 44:39Speaker 3: game game three.
- 44:40Speaker 6: Or some game six and then he came in for
- 44:42Speaker 6: game seven and extras dominated again.
- 44:45Speaker 1: But it was It was one of the funnier memes
- 44:47Speaker 1: up in a while. And I thought to myself and
- 44:49Speaker 1: my races for laughing at this, and I don't think
- 44:51Speaker 1: I was. It's Los Angeles, and it was highlighting sure
- 44:55Speaker 1: that multiple cultures can come together, regardless of their possible
- 45:01Speaker 1: bias before. Yeah, yeah, anyway, it was funny.
- 45:04Speaker 4: And yeah, I feel bad for Blue Jays fans.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yeah that sucks. That Yeah, that sucks. I felt bad
- 45:09Speaker 1: for me using Sling. So dude, I downloaded the app.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I hate downloading apps. I will do anything to not
- 45:15Speaker 1: download a new app, and ended up downloading it to
- 45:18Speaker 1: our Roku, download it to my phone, pay my a little.
- 45:20Speaker 1: That's a process, it is. But now I know if
- 45:22Speaker 1: something goes out, you got I can go pay my
- 45:25Speaker 1: cards in there now to I go pay my six
- 45:27Speaker 1: ninety nine or whatever it was for the day and
- 45:29Speaker 1: watch whatever I need to watch. Yeah, it's not an
- 45:31Speaker 1: AD because I don't even know to what. I've heard
- 45:34Speaker 1: a sling.
- 45:35Speaker 3: So who told you to do that?
- 45:36Speaker 1: Dude? I tried everything. I googled, how can I? I
- 45:39Speaker 1: tried to go buy the live package on Hulu, but
- 45:43Speaker 1: Hulu now is through Disney Plus. Yes, dude, I was
- 45:46Speaker 1: lost in a maze.
- 45:47Speaker 6: Yeah, there's so many avenues and they knew. Yeah, well
- 45:51Speaker 6: that's the whole point. That's why they're fighting, and they're
- 45:52Speaker 6: trying to block everybody to get off.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Of YouTube TV because they want to have you to
- 45:56Speaker 1: come to them for it, because it's all Disney. Hulu's
- 45:58Speaker 1: Disney Disney Plus is off basically Disney.
- 46:00Speaker 3: And I saw something recently that UFC is going to
- 46:02Speaker 3: be on Paramount Plus next year.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Yes, yes, that no paper So yes sucks and is
- 46:09Speaker 1: awesome if you already pay for Paramount Plus, it's awesome
- 46:12Speaker 1: because you're not get to pay extra for the pay
- 46:13Speaker 1: per views.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Yeah, no pay per view.
- 46:15Speaker 6: Pay for the pay per view, right, I do pay
- 46:17Speaker 6: for you don't pay for.
- 46:24Speaker 3: My mouth is got caught up there too much.
- 46:26Speaker 1: So if you already pay for Paramount Plus, you won't
- 46:30Speaker 1: have to pay for a pay per view. But where
- 46:38Speaker 1: that would be annoying for someone is if they don't
- 46:40Speaker 1: pay for Paramount Plus, they have to pay for Paramount
- 46:43Speaker 1: Plus to get what used to be the pay per views. Right,
- 46:46Speaker 1: So you're gonna.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Still have to pay for the pay per view because
- 46:50Speaker 3: now it's ESPN Plus, which you pay for.
- 46:52Speaker 1: But that's different. You have to pay for the pay
- 46:54Speaker 1: per view on ESPN Plus right now. Yes, ESPN Plus
- 46:59Speaker 1: also has now the new extra version of ESPN that's
- 47:02Speaker 1: not Plus like unlimited Limited. Yes, I saw that. Oh yeah,
- 47:07Speaker 1: and so if you want to watch wrestling, you have
- 47:08Speaker 1: to have that.
- 47:09Speaker 3: And it's unlimited idea.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Yeah, follow the camera follows him a home, that's what
- 47:17Speaker 1: it says. But if you have Paramount Plus, that's good
- 47:20Speaker 1: for you, okay, because you're already paying for it anyway,
- 47:22Speaker 1: I have it, and you don't have to pay for anything.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Once the fight's happened, they're just automatically going to be there.
- 47:26Speaker 1: It's like the wrestling deal with Peacock when ww was
- 47:28Speaker 1: only on Peacock, right, Mike, he had Peacock, that's what
- 47:31Speaker 1: it was. So if you don't, but I'm not a
- 47:33Speaker 1: big UFC guy.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Every week I love it.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Who's your favorite fighter right now?
- 47:38Speaker 3: Right now? Probably as Sonya, it's probably my favorite fighter.
- 47:47Speaker 3: I like Sean Strickland a lot too.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Well. These they're like shooting stars though, like because of
- 47:51Speaker 1: how violent sport is, it's not like you can have
- 47:54Speaker 1: like a seven year super fan. No, I'm a massive
- 47:57Speaker 1: Sean Strickland guy at his height, yep, Like you can
- 48:00Speaker 1: still root for him. Like Chandler still fights, right, but
- 48:03Speaker 1: he's I've all I only started no Chandler once he
- 48:05Speaker 1: came in the show because I'm not a big UFC guy.
- 48:07Speaker 1: But now he's like aged. Yeah, he's considered an old fighter, right,
- 48:11Speaker 1: like one of the greats. And it's so hard for
- 48:13Speaker 1: these guys to stay on top. Now, I mean he's
- 48:14Speaker 1: like nineteen, he's having to retire for a Like Sean.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Strickland was like awesome for me, and now he just
- 48:20Speaker 3: gets you know, he's i think lost to the last
- 48:22Speaker 3: two fights. So it's just hard for any of these guys.
- 48:24Speaker 6: Once they lose, they lose like four in a row yep,
- 48:26Speaker 6: and it's just over. It's like a running back in
- 48:28Speaker 6: the NFL.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I like it, man, dude, you know how much I
- 48:30Speaker 1: like it.
- 48:31Speaker 3: I watch Dana White's Contender series, and that's like, those
- 48:35Speaker 3: are the people trying to make it on Tuesdays and
- 48:37Speaker 3: they fight each other and there's only I think there's
- 48:39Speaker 3: probably like six fights, and out of the six fights,
- 48:41Speaker 3: he awards three contracts to a fighter, and so you
- 48:44Speaker 3: kind of get to see like, all right, here's someone
- 48:46Speaker 3: in the making. I love it. So it's like college football, correct, Yeah,
- 48:49Speaker 3: and they're good enough to try it, Like if they
- 48:51Speaker 3: have a really good fight, he signs them. And then
- 48:53Speaker 3: you see him in like a real UFC fight in
- 48:55Speaker 3: like two months and he gets knocked out. It's like,
- 48:57Speaker 3: well he's.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Oh there goes that goes that some other notes that
- 49:03Speaker 1: I have here, haha. Duke over Clemson. Yeah, again, I
- 49:10Speaker 1: don't dislike anything about Clemson fans, the team, just Dabo.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Is he going to get fired? I don't think so.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Okay, that was the first win I think since nineteen
- 49:22Speaker 4: eighty Duke at Clemson.
- 49:24Speaker 1: My prediction for the Penn State jaw was many Diez
- 49:26Speaker 1: a long time ago. He's Duke's head coach. I think
- 49:29Speaker 1: that was a big win for him.
- 49:31Speaker 4: Yeah, they've had a couple this year.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, especially whenever Penn State's kind of looking
- 49:36Speaker 1: for the coach and like Brandon Marcella was saying, he
- 49:37Speaker 1: thinks they're probably, you know, evaluating a lot of things
- 49:40Speaker 1: right now. But yeah, how about that. Sorry, Debo, it's
- 49:44Speaker 1: on you, dude. Another one, it's on. Another note, another one,
- 49:49Speaker 1: another one. When I was watching Red Zone yesterday, there's
- 49:52Speaker 1: only a few commercials that come on, and people acted
- 49:56Speaker 1: like they were going to riot because Red Zone had commercials.
- 49:58Speaker 3: I was one of those people.
- 49:59Speaker 1: But the commercial first of all, they're short too, they
- 50:01Speaker 1: pop up on the side, they're boxed down, they don't
- 50:03Speaker 1: take you full screen. Correct, That's okay.
- 50:06Speaker 4: They should have clarified that, by the way.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Yes, for sure, because I was thinking they're gonna cut
- 50:10Speaker 3: to commercial, We're gonna miss the action.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Yeah, not prices the same and show commercials. Yeah, I'm
- 50:16Speaker 1: okay with that. And again it's not all the time.
- 50:18Speaker 1: I think it was like a less some luxury car
- 50:20Speaker 1: popped on and I was like, oh, I need to
- 50:22Speaker 1: make a note of this because everybody gets so mad
- 50:24Speaker 1: when they hear Red Zone has commercials, but Red Zone
- 50:26Speaker 1: hasn't lifted their prices, and people are always lifting prices.
- 50:30Speaker 1: What people failed to acknowledge is they didn't lift their prices.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Instead of that, they took a couple of commercials and
- 50:36Speaker 1: they're not full box with those commercials. So I'm good
- 50:39Speaker 1: with it.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's not that expensive. I made my son
- 50:42Speaker 3: bit by red Zone because it's kind of expensive. We year,
- 50:46Speaker 3: like five hundred bucks a year. No red Zone you're
- 50:49Speaker 3: talking about you're talking about the take.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that's I'm talking about altogether.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Though.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I made my son buy red Zone.
- 50:55Speaker 3: He always wants to watch red Zone.
- 50:57Speaker 1: What's red Zone casts by itself? Thirty bucks a month.
- 51:00Speaker 4: I think he's like an extra ten bucks a month.
- 51:01Speaker 3: I think it was thirty dollars total, like thirty five.
- 51:03Speaker 3: He got a deal like it was to the seasons.
- 51:05Speaker 3: It was once the season started and he got it
- 51:07Speaker 3: for like thirty five bucks for the rest of the season.
- 51:09Speaker 3: But it was huge because I bought the ticket and
- 51:11Speaker 3: then he'd always come like, hey can we watch this game? Like, bro,
- 51:14Speaker 3: I paid for this, Like this is my Sunday. I
- 51:16Speaker 3: get to pick the games.
- 51:17Speaker 1: We were selfless, Like we're talking about it. Eddie gives
- 51:20Speaker 1: me another example of being a selfless dad. Go ahead.
- 51:22Speaker 3: So he's like, well, okay, well, Ken, just we just
- 51:25Speaker 3: watched Red Zone. We're all happy. I'm like, no, I
- 51:27Speaker 3: want to watch the four games I want to watch.
- 51:29Speaker 3: You want to watch Red Zone? You buy it? And dude,
- 51:31Speaker 3: he bought it and it's pretty cool. It's like he's
- 51:33Speaker 3: just like he goes up to his floor upstairs and
- 51:36Speaker 3: he watches Red Zone the way he wants to watch it.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Can I just possibly be incorrect? And a question that
- 51:42Speaker 1: I'm asking, Yeah, yeah, can't multiple screens watch because I
- 51:45Speaker 1: feel like I can put it on my phone and
- 51:47Speaker 1: I can put it on the screen. And that's one
- 51:50Speaker 1: account where he just could have watched it on his
- 51:53Speaker 1: phone and use your account without having to take from you.
- 51:55Speaker 3: With my ticket. You can't once another device uses it yalone.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Really yeah, okay, so that's the only reason it was
- 52:03Speaker 3: a problem, because if it wasn't a problem, Yeah, did
- 52:05Speaker 3: you watch yours? I watched mine. But it's pretty crazy,
- 52:08Speaker 3: like and the fact that he bought it and he
- 52:10Speaker 3: gets to enjoy it. He's like, I get to watch
- 52:11Speaker 3: whatever I want. I get to watch my Red Zone.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I also confused Red Zone for the entire Sunday ticket,
- 52:17Speaker 1: which is not which is very expensive. Yeah, when you
- 52:20Speaker 1: were like, bro, where are you getting your money?
- 52:22Speaker 3: That one's not cheap.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I had to reevaluate how much everything costs as I
- 52:25Speaker 1: was trying to go through the apps to find out
- 52:27Speaker 1: how I could watch TV for one day, Like I
- 52:29Speaker 1: saw what I bought. Yeah, you go to subscriptions in
- 52:32Speaker 1: your iPhone, it tells you everything, and it's like managed plan.
- 52:34Speaker 1: I wanted to every I went into Hulu w and
- 52:36Speaker 1: a Disney plug, just trying to get live TV for
- 52:37Speaker 1: a freaking day. And then I saw how much everything was,
- 52:39Speaker 1: which is how I know how much Sunday ticket is,
- 52:41Speaker 1: which in a bad mood, Yeah, I was just like, oh, dang,
- 52:43Speaker 1: we're paying a lot. How much is the NBA League Pass?
- 52:47Speaker 1: I don't know because I've just had it. It just
- 52:48Speaker 1: renews itself. Okay. My wife watches it way more than
- 52:52Speaker 1: I do now because she watches basically every Thunder game.
- 52:55Speaker 1: I don't know. Somebody could probably tell me.
- 52:57Speaker 5: One o nine for the standard plan, one sixty for
- 52:59Speaker 5: the premium play a month.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Or or the whole thing annually. Oh it's so bad.
- 53:05Speaker 3: I'm bad because I got I got to deal with
- 53:07Speaker 3: DraftKings where I got three months free of a free
- 53:10Speaker 3: NBA League pass. How about that? It was awesome, dude.
- 53:13Speaker 3: So now I'm about two weeks into it, but three months.
- 53:16Speaker 6: Free, three months plus get three hundred dollars in bonus, bitch.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Oh, thank you Bobby Sports.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Cod and Bobby's Sports.
- 53:23Speaker 3: Thank you, COVI.
- 53:24Speaker 1: That is right. Two other notes I have here. Have
- 53:33Speaker 1: you guys seen the video of and it's from years
- 53:35Speaker 1: ago of Oklahoma coming out with all the smoke in
- 53:38Speaker 1: the entrance. Yes, okay, so we'll put it up in
- 53:42Speaker 1: the screen now as this club. But Oklahoma's running out.
- 53:45Speaker 1: It's a day game, and there's smoke all coming out,
- 53:47Speaker 1: and you know, then they run out of the entrance
- 53:49Speaker 1: and so a few guys come out, and then all
- 53:51Speaker 1: of a sudden, no guys come out, and then the
- 53:53Speaker 1: smoke starts to dissipate a bit, and there's like thirteen
- 53:56Speaker 1: players on top of each other because it couldn't see
- 53:58Speaker 1: in the smoke, and they all fell down.
- 54:00Speaker 3: Brutal.
- 54:00Speaker 1: I've never seen that before. I thought it was AI
- 54:04Speaker 1: because it was, and I'm still not convinced it's not AI.
- 54:07Speaker 5: Yeah, because it's not probably a week and a half ago.
- 54:09Speaker 1: So I can pull it up on my phone now.
- 54:12Speaker 1: And I asked Kaitlyn if she had seen it. She said, yeah,
- 54:14Speaker 1: she saw it. She didn't know what it was from.
- 54:16Speaker 1: But my point is I don't believe anything now. Yeah,
- 54:20Speaker 1: because AI makes everything look so much funnier. This was
- 54:25Speaker 1: the funniest thing I've ever seen. Like, if this actually
- 54:28Speaker 1: happened to the game, I think it's the funniest thing
- 54:30Speaker 1: I've ever seen.
- 54:31Speaker 5: So can you google Mike, Yeah, it says it is real.
- 54:36Speaker 5: No way happened on November twenty four, twenty twenty three.
- 54:39Speaker 1: You want to see it?
- 54:40Speaker 3: I do wants this.
- 54:41Speaker 1: Okay, here they come smoke all the first let level
- 54:45Speaker 1: of players there.
- 54:45Speaker 3: It goes about ten of them. Yeah, oh, and then
- 54:47Speaker 3: one hits the ground.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Now they're stop, They're stopped. They're stopped. It's like once
- 54:51Speaker 1: to choking. Now look at look at all of them.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Throw all piled up, throw a pile up, therow on
- 54:56Speaker 1: the ground. The savage.
- 54:58Speaker 3: The savage is the guy.
- 55:01Speaker 4: And then one comes.
- 55:03Speaker 1: The one that jumps over everyone not me, well, the
- 55:06Speaker 1: first one that show it looks like there's a probably
- 55:08Speaker 1: it looks like he's vomiting because he got hit with gas.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Like you see him come on the very edge. Yeah,
- 55:13Speaker 1: like he's like and then the smoke dissipates of it
- 55:17Speaker 1: and you see him all like laying on top of
- 55:18Speaker 1: each other. I thought that's so funny. I thought it
- 55:20Speaker 1: was Ai.
- 55:21Speaker 5: Apparently it was venibles who fell first and then everybody
- 55:23Speaker 5: fell behind.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Oh no, you couldn't see because of the smoke. Man,
- 55:27Speaker 1: when older people fall, do that hurts? That's so sad,
- 55:30Speaker 1: Like hurts to watch it. Yes, it hurts to watch
- 55:32Speaker 1: older people. But we didn't see it, so we didn't
- 55:34Speaker 1: watch it.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I thought it was fake, like stepping on dudes.
- 55:39Speaker 3: You know. My son was watching YouTube. I don't know,
- 55:42Speaker 3: it's just watching YouTube clips or whatever, and he found
- 55:44Speaker 3: one and it was like fifty stadium fails, the NFL
- 55:49Speaker 3: stadium fails. And there was one there where like I
- 55:53Speaker 3: guess it was pretty recent where the Titans the pyro
- 55:56Speaker 3: fell over and like burnt half of the sideline people
- 56:00Speaker 3: on it or just decided there were people there, but
- 56:03Speaker 3: once it fell everyone got out of the way.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Can you laugh at these? Or is this like people
- 56:06Speaker 1: catching on fire?
- 56:07Speaker 3: I no, no one, no one dies, but like, and
- 56:10Speaker 3: there was one where there was a fire in the
- 56:12Speaker 3: raptor in on the top, like in one of the
- 56:14Speaker 3: rafters of the arena or whatever whatever the stadium was,
- 56:18Speaker 3: and some one dude had to go up there and
- 56:20Speaker 3: like turn out the fire, and once he turned it out,
- 56:23Speaker 3: a piece fell all the way down to the field
- 56:25Speaker 3: and then started the field.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Killed seven people. That's not fun anymore.
- 56:29Speaker 3: It looked like it was from the eighties. I'm like,
- 56:31Speaker 3: this is crazy. I don't remember any of these.
- 56:33Speaker 1: How'd that chain gang go?
- 56:35Speaker 3: Success?
- 56:36Speaker 1: Oh? I saw your picture, success, Dude. You shouldn't be
- 56:38Speaker 1: taking picture while you're on the field. I snuck one in.
- 56:40Speaker 1: That's like a cop, like in the middle of a
- 56:42Speaker 1: drug bus taking a selfie.
- 56:43Speaker 3: I know what I did was I waited till like
- 56:45Speaker 3: some of the student camera people came by me, you know,
- 56:48Speaker 3: and then I just kind of looked like everyone else
- 56:50Speaker 3: just took my phone up took a picture. But dude,
- 56:52Speaker 3: I did great. Accept Except dude, when the game was over,
- 56:56Speaker 3: fight breaks down the field. Both teams. As soon as
- 56:58Speaker 3: the game was over, one kid throws a helmet. Next
- 57:01Speaker 3: thing you know, the both teams are fighting and I'm
- 57:04Speaker 3: in the middle of it. You're on the field know.
- 57:07Speaker 3: It happened right by the sideline, got it, and like
- 57:09Speaker 3: we were about to just put the chains up and
- 57:10Speaker 3: go home. The fights in the middle and we're like
- 57:13Speaker 3: freaking out. I want you guys to guess what I did.
- 57:17Speaker 3: Did I fight?
- 57:18Speaker 1: No?
- 57:19Speaker 3: Did I try to break up the fight?
- 57:20Speaker 7: No?
- 57:20Speaker 1: No?
- 57:21Speaker 3: Did I bail? Yeah?
- 57:22Speaker 1: You probably lowered your head and got out of there. Dude,
- 57:25Speaker 1: I bailed the kids. If they were your kids, maybe
- 57:30Speaker 1: you hop in and try to make sure.
- 57:31Speaker 6: No, of course you got out of the chain and deflection,
- 57:35Speaker 6: get out of my way.
- 57:36Speaker 3: One of the coaches that was next to me is like,
- 57:38Speaker 3: oh hell no, he ran out and he started to
- 57:41Speaker 3: break up the fight. I'm like, man, that sounds that
- 57:43Speaker 3: looks kind of.
- 57:43Speaker 6: Cool to like go over as a coach, So he
- 57:45Speaker 6: should Yeah, you shouldn't.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You were an unbiased not even the main member of
- 57:50Speaker 1: the chain gang. You're like the last member.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Of the chain gang.
- 57:52Speaker 1: You're working anyway at them.
- 57:53Speaker 4: You're reserved.
- 57:54Speaker 1: You know what was.
- 57:55Speaker 3: Cool At the end of the game, the head ref
- 57:57Speaker 3: came up to me, shook my hands and thank you
- 57:59Speaker 3: very much, just you or everybody the chain gang, the
- 58:02Speaker 3: three of us.
- 58:03Speaker 1: That's cool. I mean, and I felt dude, I felt
- 58:05Speaker 1: like I was part of it. That's cool.
- 58:06Speaker 3: Then thank you.
- 58:07Speaker 4: Hey did you ask him? Hey, how did you get
- 58:08Speaker 4: into reffing?
- 58:09Speaker 3: Though?
- 58:09Speaker 1: No, I still think you should look into NB a
- 58:11Speaker 1: referee that looks so stressful. There's no way because the
- 58:14Speaker 1: coach starts yelling at the ref and the ref's like,
- 58:18Speaker 1: I'd give you one warning, stay off that field. That's
- 58:20Speaker 1: cool though. You know, you get to see that. That's
- 58:22Speaker 1: cool and you get to see that, man, I could
- 58:24Speaker 1: be you. You know, you can be a line jade.
- 58:26Speaker 1: You don't have to be the white hat.
- 58:27Speaker 3: That's true. There are a couple guys that kind of
- 58:28Speaker 3: you know, they don't say much.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Have you been yelled at by a coach yet?
- 58:31Speaker 3: Or no, No, I've almost tripped the coach just because.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Of the chan Yeah you know so he now that's
- 58:36Speaker 1: more him tripping over you to hold you tripping a coach.
- 58:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:38Speaker 4: They always say it too, don't they like watch.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Jay Watch Chang's Coming through, Change, Coming Through, And I
- 58:42Speaker 3: do appreciate some of the coaches. Some of the coaches
- 58:44Speaker 3: tell the kids to get back, get back, chain gangs
- 58:46Speaker 3: coming through love that.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Uh. People were asking me if I ended up betting
- 58:51Speaker 1: Brandon Walker. Oh yeah, did you Brandon Walker from Barstool?
- 58:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah? Who was wanted to bet me straight up?
- 58:57Speaker 1: And he called me a chicken ass on his show
- 58:59Speaker 1: The bad Word a couple of times, and I wasn't
- 59:03Speaker 1: afraid to bet Brandon Walker. But god no, I replied,
- 59:05Speaker 1: I'm not betting you. We're gonna lose this game.
- 59:08Speaker 3: I won the whole time.
- 59:09Speaker 4: Was there any part of you during the game, We're like, dang,
- 59:10Speaker 4: I should have made that bet.
- 59:12Speaker 1: No, because I know we're always one step away or
- 59:14Speaker 1: one turn from losing. Guys, I don't think you understand
- 59:17Speaker 1: we do. We do, even you got to win championships
- 59:20Speaker 1: in the nineties. Yeah, yeah, we have Super Bowl champions Yeah, championships,
- 59:24Speaker 1: Like don't but you do too.
- 59:25Speaker 3: Jerry Jones, team man, Jerry Jones, Jimmy Johnson, they.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Were No, that's not my team thirty I'm not a
- 59:30Speaker 1: Cowboys fan. Nineteen sixty four doesn't count.
- 59:36Speaker 3: Sixty four they were the champs.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that doesn't count.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Weren't they also the champs in ninety.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Well basketball in ninety four, okay, yeah, but football never
- 59:45Speaker 1: had a deal. Yeah, never got sucked. We almost got
- 59:50Speaker 1: there once. We run defeated until Tennessee and Clint Stone
- 59:54Speaker 1: and fumbled. We won that game.
- 59:56Speaker 3: What year was that?
- 59:57Speaker 1: Ninety seven, ninety eight, ninety eight, what do you see
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: when the sternover was Mike ninety eight. I don't do
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: years very well, but ninety nine we end up beating
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: on with Anthony Lucas. I'm pretty sure that's what it was,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: but yeah, it's bad.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Ninety eight, yeah, ninety eight. I do years based on
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: program albums, especially those nineties, like ninety eight. Yeah, that
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: was the Yield album. I remember that year.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: We should mention before we go. My wife also does
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: this thing where if I'm talking about something she has
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: no interest in, she pushes the air, like pushes the
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: skip button. She just does that, and I know she
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: just wants she wants to me to skip, just go
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: to the next track or whatever. I have to make
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you think, yeah you did.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: I just want to hit the way.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: You were doing that. I just hit the button. I
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: never got to use that on anybody, and it really
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: felt powerful because she does that crap to me. We
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: were in the car, we were driving somewhere and I
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: was talking about something and she just pushes the glove
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: box and I was like, what do you do? Is
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you go? Skip? I was like, what, I don't I'm
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: bored because I think I was talking about some some
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: stupid thing. It's forts, and so when you're on that,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I was like, Skip, are you going to tell? And
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: it felt so good, so good.
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: You know what I did? I was reading a book,
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: not really a book, but I was reading something and like, it's.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Called TikTok, it's called watching that.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: No, it's actually like literature, and I try to zoom
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: into it like an idiot.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Oh, like a page. Yeah, I don't think you're an
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: idiot for doing that.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: I was like, man, I can't see it.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I've done stuff like that. The Bengals game,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: we obviously have an interest in that because it's one
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: of the teams that we bought in our league is
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: a crazy It's a crazy game. Did just see an
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: onside kick get recovered? It was itself?
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Yeah, the fact that they came back and made it
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: a game, yep, yep, and then.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: The on side kick they got it, which is crazy,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: and then the lead freaking scored and then what happened, Well,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: then we knew that the Bears were going to get
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: in field goal range and make it because I think
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I have a text we gave thread fifty second. Yeah.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I was like, this is over. They're gonna get in
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: fil gold range and you almost turning field goal range
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: now on the kickoff. Yeah and so yeah, I was like,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: this is so and then they freaking and it goes
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to Courtland court Loveland. Oh my god.
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: I was outside cooking after Bengals scored. I was like,
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: I was barbecue, like perfect out here cooking. I'm dank,
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: can they're gona wining this game.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I walk in but.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: Bengals lost.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I'm like, what, Oh, you didn't see the loss?
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: See?
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: And then I look at your I look at my
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: phone with you guys, and I'm like I can't even
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: text back.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: It was so bad.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Right now, Buffalo this we're watching the end of this game.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: So we're gonna shut this down with Buffalo twenty to
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: twenty one over Kansas City. Weedy kan City to win.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: They just got the ball back and City did.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Yeah, Buffalo just punted.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Okay, a couple of things and we'll be We'll wrap it.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: The way that the Auburn head coaching firing happened was
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: the funniest thing I've ever seen on social media and
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: maybe in coaching firings, because how that was announced was
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: a guy named great Underscore tweeter tweeted out rarely in
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: the day breaking. It's like from a a burner account.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: He's not even a guy's the real profile is he
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: just trolls people from this account. He tweets out. The
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: standing one thirty pm T time held by coach who
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Freese at the Auburn University Club has been canceled. We've
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: attached screenshots of the t sheet change. A shakeup is imminent.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: No why someone who was probably a member at the
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: country club saw that his standing tea time, which is
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: his wife Jill Freeze, is under her name one every
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Sunday it was canceled and that's how it was announced
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: that that's canceled. Wow, looks like he's not playing. Why
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: is he not playing? He's going to be at this facility.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Boom fired.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: So is that what Bran was talking about just playing golf,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: playing a lot of golf?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: He well, he plays a lot of golf.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you're playing every Sunday during season, Like, come on, I.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Don't have a problem with that, but what if you
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: have a drink somewhere. Yeah, as long as you're winning,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: who cares?
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Long more hours, dude, you can have He didn't have
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: kids that are that are young. I agree, And maybe
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you're playing with your coaches. Sure, but I think people
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: were following his handicap and seeing how much he was playing. Well,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: he was the guy I was talking about like months
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: ago that it went viral because he wanted to make
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: his and he kept real so he logged every freaking
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: a round he played, and you can follow that. He
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: was playing like three four times a week supposedly.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not good.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: That'd be awesome, though, it would be cool. That'd be awesome.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I think that's it. How about Cam Little sixteen years
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: new record, broke the record another one and how long
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: was that.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: Seventy?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: No, we were just talking about the record at sixty eight.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: And what makes it cool is he broke the record. Yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: but he came back and the game. Do you know
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: what was.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Crazy about that was funny about that is red zone
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: is they showed that kick and then the next one.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: I think.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: The charge the rams kicking he misses.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's so many.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Poor guy.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: His family's watching like, oh, damn.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: Yeah, good for him.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: That's cool. In our little fantasy league, I'm playing Mike
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: this week. Mikey team struggles this year. Huh yeah, it's bad.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I got one win. Yeah yeah, I see yours with
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the trending loss like I think it's like L four
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: my worst year of all time. Yeah, I didn't. I
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: was playing Mike's team and I was like, okay, and
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: then I noticed he was one in seven?
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Does he have the what is the red one? Say
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: the l He's.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Only lost one in a row. He must have got
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: that one win right before he had lost like six
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: and then one one. Uh so yeah, so I'm playing
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Mike this week. Looks like I'm gonna do okay. Yeah,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: all right, that's it. Thank you guys, Thanks to Randa, Marcelo.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Everybody good. Yeah, good win, Kevin, Patriots, Eddie bad Beangals loss.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: This is just getting worse.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: It's okay, the Packers lost too, but Packers did lose.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Keep pounding on what I keep saying.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: That was awesome.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that was awesome. All right, thank you guys.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: That is it.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: That's lots to say.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: No, that's wrong, choir, that's like saying the wrong girl's name. Dude.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: No, here's why I said that. I sit in this chair.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: We don't. We don't always do that.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: We don't always just told me.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: We don't always do this show from this house. Messed up, bro,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: that's so weird, dude.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I'm you're always sitting chair.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, that's Matt Castle.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Plead for the cowboys.
