- 0:34Speaker 2: going to get for four hundred thousand?
- 0:38Speaker 3: We have a roadhouse here which is a pub, a
- 0:42Speaker 3: post office, a restaurant, four motel units plus a cabin
- 0:47Speaker 3: and a four bedroom residence.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Do you get a lot of people coming through?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Like?
- 0:53Speaker 2: Is this going to make a bit of money.
- 0:56Speaker 3: It's actually situated on what is the longest road in Australia,
- 1:03Speaker 3: the Diamond Tenna Development Row runs from Charlie Aldermount. Isa.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Get a lot of people through here, they come out
- 1:11Speaker 3: to birds Well, anyone traveling through to the west, this
- 1:13Speaker 3: is the road they usually take.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Why have you decided to sell up?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Because when we came here just over three years ago,
- 1:23Speaker 3: it was a three year plan under three years is up.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I'm ready to retire, so it's time to move on.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Oh Carol, I smell a rat. You're selling up in
- 1:33Speaker 2: three years. That's very quick, isn't it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: No, well, we only came out for three years. Joe
- 1:39Speaker 3: wants to get back to Brisbone to her family, so
- 1:41Speaker 3: it was only ever a three year plan.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Okay, how much did you pat? Do you mind me
- 1:47Speaker 2: asking this? Qut cheeky? How much did you pay for it?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Oh? Now now you are asking cheeky questions and quite honest,
- 1:59Speaker 3: so I can't even remember.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Are you going to make a buck? Do you reckon.
- 2:05Speaker 3: With the sale? Yeah? With what improvements we've done, we
- 2:10Speaker 3: won't make a lot of money. But yeah, when you
- 2:13Speaker 3: sort of just want to move on when it's time
- 2:17Speaker 3: to sell you Yeah, So tell.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Me who's your perfect buy. I'm guessing it's not a family,
- 2:23Speaker 2: right because you've got to get the kids to school.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Sounds like it's a bloody mile away. So who would
- 2:27Speaker 2: be best to buy this?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Probably either a retired couple of young retired couple, or
- 2:36Speaker 3: it needs a couple. It definitely needs a couple, or
- 2:40Speaker 3: you know, a couple with teenage teenage kids or something. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 3: but any type of people as long as they're willing
- 2:51Speaker 3: to get in and put in the hard yards and
- 2:57Speaker 3: chat to people behind the bar and know personality comes
- 3:01Speaker 3: a lot into it. It's a great community, so it
- 3:06Speaker 3: just needs somebody that will fit in. It's the Western community,
- 3:11Speaker 3: which isn't hard to do.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I'm pleased to hear Carol, Thank you appreciate it. Carol Garrow,
- 3:17Speaker 2: one of the two residents selling up Cooladdie.
