[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes a world looks like you ain't ever seen it before Just be how never ended with those All you need is a door Searching for something to put a smile back on your face Just remembering unusual times I can come from one unusual place
0:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I need a partner for a ride Cause everybody needs a ride Such a bird is to the side Just ask See the word and I'll be there Just ask
0:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I know the greatest things in the life I'll come in a pair They say hindsight's 20, 20 That ain't far enough behind me So we can walk this sweetest honey I think hindsight's 19, 19 Isn't needed pretending I got a hand I can land Who's when you really need a friend Just ask
1:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Shit, night is your start, me
1:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Shit 90 shows taught me was not filmed before live studio audience are you ready to slay another day so are we welcome back to shit 90 shows taught me I'm just early in here with my co-host Sarah Humphrey Sarah how are you just really good I just got out of my interview of potential replacements for our podcast um I got three three potentials okay two British girls I thought that that could be a funny twist
1:54
[SPEAKER_02]: one is from Jersey like the actual Jersey and one's from York because they're both British.
2:03
[SPEAKER_02]: So I just thought that would be a fun twist to fun twist on it.
2:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other one is just like kind of just I don't know what she's American.
2:13
[SPEAKER_02]: She kind of has like a rough around the edges vibe to her.
2:17
[SPEAKER_02]: It does not equal either of our archetypes, so I don't know if it'll work, but it'll do.
2:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that would be a rougher replacement in terms of fitting into the vibe already, you know.
2:28
[SPEAKER_03]: But she might be my favorite, not gonna lie.
2:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Because one of them is really stupid, actually.
2:34
[SPEAKER_03]: One of them is really
2:35
[SPEAKER_03]: dumb.
2:36
[SPEAKER_03]: We're really stupid.
2:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Really, really dumb.
2:39
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what else is dumb, though?
2:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Us, us.
2:42
[SPEAKER_03]: We're really dumb.
2:43
[SPEAKER_03]: And here's the situation.
2:45
[SPEAKER_03]: We totally misunderstood what the hell happened.
2:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't think I've ever been as embarrassed because like typically you and I like record and then
2:55
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know a lot of shit happens like I take care of a lot of baby shit and then I'm like oh, it's eight o'clock.
3:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to settle in.
3:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to watch the new episode.
3:06
[SPEAKER_02]: I was watching it and the more I watched it, the more embarrassed I became and I was like, oh, we deeply misunderstood.
3:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the thing though in our defense.
3:19
[SPEAKER_03]: it has been since like season three that the first was even mentioned.
3:23
[SPEAKER_03]: So we had, and we had no reason to believe that the first wasn't Grand Pappy Vamps.
3:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Just like a side from the fact that we have a podcast that covers my favorite vampire slayer and you would think like you would hope, like you know how, I mean, you work for a podcast that literally is like we podcast about survivor
3:47
[SPEAKER_02]: are the people that know shit about survivor.
3:50
[SPEAKER_03]: But here's the thing, we are not the people who've seen it a million times.
3:54
[SPEAKER_03]: We're not the super fans.
3:56
[SPEAKER_03]: We're the newbies to this whole situation.
3:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
3:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
3:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I just felt so embarrassed.
4:01
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
4:01
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also actually very easily embarrassed.
4:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Like Adam talks about that all the time.
4:07
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, you're happy for embarrassment is like really, really low.
4:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Were you embarrassed or is it just like a me thing?
4:17
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I wasn't embarrassed.
4:18
[SPEAKER_03]: I was more so like, oh, okay, this makes sense.
4:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, in my opinion, it was just more like, okay, well, that clears that up.
4:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I didn't feel like it was one of those things that was super obvious last episode and we completely missed it.
4:34
[SPEAKER_03]: It was made clear very early in this episode.
4:38
[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think so for those who don't remember basically what we
4:46
[SPEAKER_03]: that the first, it became a mistake who we've been referring to as a mistake.
4:52
[SPEAKER_03]: We thought Grand Pappy, the like old vampire, we thought that was the first.
4:59
[SPEAKER_03]: And that like the ghost was like a version that was like trying to infiltrate people to help.
5:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
5:07
[SPEAKER_02]: If you see an old Cressy vampire and then they're like, oh, it's the first, the first, I feel like it wasn't a crazy assumption to be like, oh, this is the first vampire and in a way is because it's kind of like a.
5:25
[SPEAKER_02]: primordial, it's a pre-vampire, it's a vampire, this is a four- Mitchell vampire, a spatial, a special, a special vampire.
5:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, a special, it has its own rules.
5:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's like, you can't stake him.
5:44
[SPEAKER_03]: He's a separate race of vampires.
5:46
[SPEAKER_03]: He's superior, like, he's way stronger than anyone would think a grand
5:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
5:54
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I just thought that, oh, like this is the first ever vampire.
6:00
[SPEAKER_02]: This is the first.
6:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I understand that it is the first evil, which is all evil.
6:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Happens has right from a thing because of this evil.
6:13
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all born from the first evil ever.
6:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Right and basically the first aka mistake is raising him up to like do their bidding right like it's like it's a tool in the first tool shed just one of the many And so now we know so we know ghosty ghost who inhabits many different people's bodies is the actual body
6:38
[SPEAKER_03]: not ramp happy.
6:39
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of like before Grand Pappy came we were like oh there's like no entity like it's not it's like or it is an entity it's not like a physical form.
6:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Like we there is still no physical form.
6:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Like it has to manifest itself in other forms and able to do its bidding.
6:57
[SPEAKER_02]: And we do learn think going to trials is back and is back before.
7:04
[SPEAKER_02]: He would not, I, I would really hope that he would not make me feel like an idiot for the assumptions I made and he would be like a good patient.
7:13
[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't know.
7:14
[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't have all the watchers records and documents.
7:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
7:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
7:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
7:19
[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't even have, what did they were searching on the internet?
7:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, Buffy's searching literally the word evil on the internet.
7:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we're not that dumb.
7:26
[SPEAKER_03]: That's sent me.
7:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I, we, we, we have an understanding.
7:32
[SPEAKER_02]: We kind of understand fish, what's happening now.
7:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, I just, as I was just watching it last week, has like damn, I'm a stupid motherfucker, but it's okay.
7:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
7:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And it also apparently we know a name for the I list dudes.
7:50
[SPEAKER_03]: They're apparently the Bringers.
7:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
7:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Because like I, is that really what they're called?
7:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Because I thought that.
7:57
[SPEAKER_02]: So I did wind up listening to our season three.
8:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, please let me know how that went.
8:04
[SPEAKER_02]: And coverage.
8:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we said the first like 978,000 times.
8:09
[SPEAKER_03]: That was so many times, so many seasons and episodes ago.
8:14
[SPEAKER_03]: We can't be responsible for remembering that.
8:16
[SPEAKER_03]: That was literally years ago.
8:18
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so funny because we're like, oh, like, we've never even heard of this person.
8:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why is this the big, bad bubble of a, and it's like, well,
8:27
[SPEAKER_02]: we did and meet we had it came out of our mouths a lot.
8:30
[SPEAKER_02]: It was fine.
8:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean we had Tom on and it was like a big episode with Angel hanging out in Ireland and I think like we were a little bit more focused on um David Borence's Irish accent.
8:45
[SPEAKER_02]: It was fine.
8:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly I did not finish our own podcast not because I think that we're bad but only because there's only so much of
8:55
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm also getting embarrassed about that, like, I'm immune because I added our podcasts.
9:01
[SPEAKER_03]: So it does not bother me at all.
9:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel as though I'm going to be 81 day and be like, oh, why did I do that?
9:07
[SPEAKER_02]: I shared a lot of information about myself on the internet, but it's fine.
9:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, but who cares?
9:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, um, we, I don't know, we had a good time.
9:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I suppose it was fine.
9:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Everything's fine.
9:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, okay.
9:21
[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.
9:22
[SPEAKER_03]: So we, we cleared up that.
9:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
9:23
[SPEAKER_03]: We figured that out.
9:24
[SPEAKER_03]: We were now back back on track here.
9:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry if it was painful.
9:28
[SPEAKER_02]: But I got me honest with you.
9:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I thought that people were going to be a lot more mean about it than they actually were.
9:34
[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you for nothing to enjoy it.
9:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for not like being like, you stupid, E.D.
9:40
[SPEAKER_02]: it's why don't you know anything.
9:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I personally, there's rarely like that to us, I think.
9:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, jamanji dude would really.
9:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I see a munchie dude can go to hell.
9:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even think I just said it right again.
9:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea.
9:53
[SPEAKER_03]: You did it, it's jumanji, but no one cares if you say it correctly or not.
9:57
[SPEAKER_03]: It's fine.
9:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I see you.
9:59
[SPEAKER_03]: I see you.
10:00
[SPEAKER_03]: You're mad at me about it.
10:02
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you know what, I can get a life anyway.
10:06
[SPEAKER_03]: So, so, right, so we now understand that the first
10:15
[SPEAKER_02]: excuse me.
10:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.
10:19
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying.
10:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
10:20
[SPEAKER_03]: So, and has risen.
10:23
[SPEAKER_03]: The Grand Pappy Vamps who I'm still referring to as Grand Pappy Vamps because like literally what else am I supposed to call him?
10:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's a lot of people.
10:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So I've been told calls him the Uber, Uber, Rampire, Uber, Uber, Uber.
10:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
10:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I just think Grand Pappy Vamps is more fun, but I do.
10:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with that.
10:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Then the the name that he took on or something.
10:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur- Tur
11:18
[SPEAKER_02]: The principal, this man is suspicious.
11:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I was trying to defend him because I know him from parenthood, but also he was always overstepping in parenthood too.
11:34
[SPEAKER_02]: He was able to bring Jabar to his first football game, and Crosby was like, don't do that.
11:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm his father.
11:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I deserve to take him to his first football game.
11:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
11:50
[SPEAKER_02]: So, Principal Wood is overstepping.
11:53
[SPEAKER_02]: He's down there with his shovel, bearing Jonathan.
11:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I still think he's trying to save his ass.
11:58
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, this is my, my, I've, the job market out there is rough.
12:03
[SPEAKER_02]: And I've been trying to get a job for years.
12:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And suddenly, finally hired me.
12:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank goodness.
12:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's rough out there.
12:13
[SPEAKER_02]: And I've been living in a studio with my seven cats.
12:17
[SPEAKER_02]: And seven cats, yes, with his seven cats, and he was like, I really need a better place to live.
12:23
[SPEAKER_02]: He got some good real estate and Sunday day, oh, he got a new job.
12:26
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I can't fuck this up.
12:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't fuck it up.
12:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I personally need to make sure that I don't get fired.
12:34
[SPEAKER_02]: The superintendent is a possessed.
12:37
[SPEAKER_02]: So he is bearing Jonathan.
12:39
[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think about that?
12:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Or do you think he's evil?
12:42
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I think he is actually he's going to end up being like a good guy who is like
12:53
[SPEAKER_03]: It's thinking that Buffy is on like the bad side of things.
12:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Because he seems like very intrigued by like investigating things and like seeing what's going on.
13:03
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's hard to defend bearing a body, like that you're just like, where did this come from?
13:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what do you think about him in the seven cats?
13:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Like do you think that he's just trying to cover his tracks?
13:15
[SPEAKER_02]: I think he is a maximum of three cats.
13:19
[SPEAKER_03]: That's fair.
13:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Seven cats is a lot.
13:21
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like you're going to, you have to, I don't know much about cats, but like I presume you'd have to have just so many litter boxes if you had seven cats.
13:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they each cat needs their own litter box.
13:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, really, is that a thing?
13:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that they need it, but I think that it's like a good thing.
13:38
[SPEAKER_02]: If you have three cats, so you need three litter boxes, just in case they need their own space, but I think they do share litter boxes.
13:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I don't know nothing about cats.
13:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I've never had a cat.
13:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I could have been a cat.
13:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I might be making that up.
13:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I've never had more than two cats at a time, but,
13:57
[SPEAKER_02]: maybe two counts too many.
13:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so you think that he is good, good, but you think that right, he thinks that Buffy is up to no good.
14:08
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's how it's going to end up being.
14:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't think he is involved in the bad, bad stuff.
14:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't, I don't think he's has anything to do with the first or anything like that.
14:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Unless he's
14:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's also going to get revealed that he's also being manipulated by the first, like, is there a ghost that's been following him around?
14:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I can get behind that.
14:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I can get behind that.
14:40
[SPEAKER_02]: That made some lot of sense to me as well.
14:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I think something like that could be true.
14:46
[SPEAKER_02]: It's his capbreter.
14:49
[SPEAKER_03]: like, you're really into this guy having cats.
14:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why.
14:54
[SPEAKER_03]: He's at work very late and so like you probably doesn't have a dog if he's at work that late.
15:02
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, he has no animals at all, but
15:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, what did you think about his whole thing?
15:10
[SPEAKER_02]: He was like, I don't like scary movies.
15:12
[SPEAKER_02]: What I like is mysteries.
15:15
[SPEAKER_02]: And then the turn to the camera and then, yeah, such a pretty little liar shot.
15:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know that that pretty little liar's music do, do, do, do, do, would have gone, yeah, if only.
15:31
[SPEAKER_03]: It very much seems like he was like trying to, I don't know if Intimidate Buffy is the word, but I did think him being like, oh, by the way, if you're like not sick anymore, I'd love for you to come back to work, because I have like people waiting to see you or whatever, to me that felt like come back to work, so I can keep an eye on you.
15:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, sure, sure, sure.
15:54
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, what are you actually doing?
15:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you like,
15:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Scary Movies or Mysteries Better.
16:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Scary Movies are really defensive.
16:07
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a thriller I'd probably choose that.
16:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I like that good mystery.
16:12
[SPEAKER_03]: I'd say like a murder mystery is kind of fun.
16:14
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what about you.
16:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you, I do like thrillers with like a slight mystery element and that's usually my genre book of choice as well.
16:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I like creepy.
16:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really like scary.
16:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I don't like bloody gore, but right.
16:35
[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean like I do like American horror story, ish, I mean, yeah, you do like that.
16:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I just like don't know what, it always is like, what the frick is happening, but I thought that there was gonna be more of the witches.
16:54
[SPEAKER_02]: And instead, there's like this old creepy man.
16:57
[SPEAKER_02]: And no, we don't need to see old creepy man.
17:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, it's the old creepy man instead of witches.
17:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
17:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so they bump into the principal.
17:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Then they're still doing research and Willow's trying to do this locator spell.
17:15
[SPEAKER_03]: And not agree because she basically becomes like possessed by the first.
17:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah, not good.
17:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, hair turns black.
17:25
[SPEAKER_02]: I turned dark.
17:27
[SPEAKER_02]: She goes, don't fuck with me.
17:29
[SPEAKER_02]: And then like blast off and like Buffy almost gets hurt, but she didn't.
17:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And then she's like a crying sack of potatoes.
17:37
[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, oh my god, Buffy, I turned evil for one second and everybody's going to hate me again.
17:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't hate me.
17:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she has real PTSD from being dark willow.
17:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
17:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
17:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so that's not good.
17:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, another joy spotting this episode because Buffy has not been sleeping because she's been staying up trying to figure out, you know, how to save the world and everything, you know, Googling evil.
18:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Too many times spent Googling evil.
18:06
[SPEAKER_03]: And um, and so she falls asleep and then like pictures her mom, which she then thinks is mystique, but it's not.
18:13
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, you know,
18:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I also think that there's a chance that Mystique is infiltrating dreams.
18:23
[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like something that you can do.
18:25
[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of feel like, I mean, we have seen some sort of version of that in this show at one point in time, so I wouldn't be surprised if the first evil
18:39
[SPEAKER_02]: can pretty much do anything that any prior evil was able to do.
18:46
[SPEAKER_02]: So it'll be like, yeah, best of like a clip show, like a best of all the evils and infiltrating the dream seems like something we might just think.
19:00
[SPEAKER_02]: some hardship.
19:01
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
19:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I just think that Buffy not sleeping is going to is going to come back around.
19:07
[SPEAKER_03]: You don't even mean like, because you can't do much if you're, if you haven't slept properly, and I feel like it's really going to come back to hurt her when like, she's trying to fight like the biggest evil in the world, sort of the thing, you know?
19:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't I know that you can't do things properly with the sleep?
19:27
[SPEAKER_03]: So, in comes Daddy Giles, Daddy's home!
19:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I was so happy.
19:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I was so pleased when Daddy Giles showed back up.
19:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we really need him.
19:40
[SPEAKER_02]: This show kind of suffers without him to be honest with you.
19:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
19:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
19:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, we, as much as we were incorrect about the first and mistaken all of that other nonsense with Grand Papi Vance, we were correct in that all the people we've been seeing murdered over the past how many episodes of the season have been like slayers.
20:02
[SPEAKER_03]: or potential slayers, whoever, right?
20:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Like we kind of figured as much in the last episode with the watchers talking about it, but Giles confirms, yes, like, slayers have been being killed all over the world by the first forces, and they want to kill all the potential slayers before killing Buffy, and name drop, faith, boom, faith gets name dropped, I'm pumped, yeah.
20:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Why are we not releasing faith from the jail?
20:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Because angel hates us and wants to hold us hostage.
20:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Right, okay.
20:40
[SPEAKER_02]: So you what you mean is that faith is held hostage by angel, by the show angel.
20:45
[SPEAKER_02]: The devil angel.
20:47
[SPEAKER_03]: But we do, instead of faith, we're gonna get Kennedy, Molly, and Dumbass, Annabelle.
20:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Fuck Annabelle.
20:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We're here.
20:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I'm assuming Kennedy sounds like such an American name.
21:00
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guessing that that's our like rough and tough girl, right?
21:02
[SPEAKER_02]: She's the one who wants to sleep with Willow.
21:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, besides that, can you have any other descriptors, because they all blend together, we know they all look the same.
21:11
[SPEAKER_02]: They're all like white women.
21:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, well, no, I don't think Kennedy is a white woman.
21:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that I think that you're white.
21:19
[SPEAKER_02]: They're all brunette.
21:21
[SPEAKER_02]: They're definitely all brunette.
21:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
21:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
21:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah, I do think Kennedy was the one that looks like maybe not as white as the rest.
21:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
21:28
[SPEAKER_02]: So in, like, as it Kennedy does not sound like a British name.
21:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So.
21:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Molly, right?
21:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Molly sounds like a very British name.
21:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming she's the one with Paytails or was she Annabel?
21:39
[SPEAKER_02]: One, and how to cross on, right, Annabelle is the one who dies.
21:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Molly is pig tails.
21:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
21:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, pig tails.
21:48
[SPEAKER_02]: And she's kind of like, I don't know exactly where in England this person is, but she, it's very stereotypical.
21:57
[SPEAKER_02]: This, yes, this accent.
21:59
[SPEAKER_02]: It's, but okay, understood.
22:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And then Annabelle, she was the one those taking notes.
22:05
[SPEAKER_02]: One of them was taking notes.
22:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I think it was Annabelle and Annabelle is the one I think that pulls out the like records from the watchers.
22:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Now Annabelle, I'm very disappointed in you because you had one job and it was to not die.
22:23
[SPEAKER_02]: We needed you as a slayer and you were potential.
22:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Now
22:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I understand that your your watcher was just recently killed, but why do you got me so stupid?
22:38
[SPEAKER_03]: You're so dumb.
22:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she just like runs out and decides she's just going to run away from the biggest evil ever and then obviously dies like roll super quick.
22:46
[SPEAKER_02]: So quickly, she named us fight back.
22:49
[SPEAKER_03]: No, because this bitch, you can't, like, you can't stay Kim.
22:53
[SPEAKER_03]: He is Grand Pappy, okay?
22:56
[SPEAKER_03]: You're not getting, you can't kill him.
22:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even think that she like put up remotely of fight, but he basically grabbed her neck and she was dead.
23:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that was that, that was the end of that.
23:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely useless.
23:09
[SPEAKER_03]: So, now we're down to two, I guess, two potential right we have Kennedy and Molly left and so like the whole point is jiles is bringing them here, which I mean, I have questions for jiles on like how safe they are to be brought into Buffy's house where like you literally can't even keep glass in the windows in this house, but like, no, I disagree.
23:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I loved when Buffy was like we can't be.
23:34
[SPEAKER_02]: treating these people with kids gloves.
23:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Like if their potential sayers like they need to be all in and we need to kind of throw them into the wolves.
23:41
[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that they needed to be part of the mix in this house.
23:47
[SPEAKER_02]: We can't put them in bubble wrap.
23:49
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
23:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Like we need you to learn and be present.
23:54
[SPEAKER_02]: And also, I don't know.
23:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I loved when Buffy said that too bad, it, you know, it resulted in the loss of one of three.
24:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Those are some really shitty odds, but also get rid of this dumb one.
24:09
[SPEAKER_02]: We can't be having a dumb one around.
24:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, exactly.
24:16
[SPEAKER_03]: We're down to two, and the whole point is that these basically the first slash mistake wants to take out the whole slayer line.
24:25
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is also when Giles says, like, hey, BT Dubbs, all the watchers be dead, but I did go a little sneaky sneak of their records for a like, like, like, a one stack right of their records, not ton.
24:38
[SPEAKER_02]: No, so he kind of like knew what was going to happen.
24:42
[SPEAKER_02]: So he snuck into the washers building, stole some records.
24:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Not all of them because he didn't have big enough pockets.
24:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And then was like, okay, I have some.
24:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Willow was like, not enough.
25:00
[SPEAKER_02]: We need more, all those books.
25:01
[SPEAKER_03]: More papers.
25:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's too bad that she can't hack into the washers.
25:07
[SPEAKER_03]: um hack into the watchers records like they don't have any electronic records.
25:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, which will lose a hacker.
25:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I know.
25:18
[SPEAKER_02]: She's a techno witch or whatever.
25:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know whatever.
25:23
[SPEAKER_02]: She's a techno witch.
25:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but man, remember?
25:28
[SPEAKER_02]: when we that was so funny when we found she was like a techno witch or techno something and really uh maybe willow will also be a techno witch and we did not wait of getting that really but you know anyway yeah I mean it would have been nice I have a digital file uh that's the issue with paper stuff when a building blows up the book's do burn
25:54
[SPEAKER_03]: that's the problem with paper is it does burn and so they don't have much to go off of to try to figure out what is going on with Graham Papi who turns out like we said before has the name like Turra Khan or whatever Uber Vamp where he can't be saved whatever well
26:11
[SPEAKER_03]: We can look at the cute little conversation with Buffy and Giles talking about the Uber Vamp guy, Grand Pappy, and talking about, oh, I encountered him in the Christmas tree lot, and they're talking about, like, oh, it's so close to the holidays.
26:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't even like paying attention because there's so much going on.
26:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And I loved their little, like, oh, I missed you moment.
26:30
[SPEAKER_03]: That was so sweet.
26:32
[SPEAKER_02]: It was sweet.
26:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I, like I said, I feel like this show kind of does suffer from the absence of jiles because I thought I've always liked the father, daughter elements of Buffy and jiles.
26:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that their relationship has evolved so much since the first season.
26:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And I I really enjoy those elements and it always is like a tier like tears me up a little bit when we watch it not this time, but sometimes and so I enjoy that to I enjoyed kind of their low investigativeness they were looking for.
27:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, they're looking for spike is what they're looking for because spike is missing because he got his blood taken away and the she's like I got to get this this spike back and that's yeah and she ran into.
27:34
[SPEAKER_02]: the Grand Pappy ramps and they had their fight and it did not go well.
27:39
[SPEAKER_03]: It really makes me feel like she tries to stay Kim and it doesn't work.
27:42
[SPEAKER_03]: And she just ends up like getting having a ton of wounds.
27:47
[SPEAKER_03]: And again, like,
27:52
[SPEAKER_03]: But if he gets the shit beat out of her, she like barely escapes, and we like cut to immediately like oh no sorry this is later on, but yeah she gets the shit beat out of her and that's when they come back to the house and find the other like the potentials kind of like they're all jet lagged and shit.
28:13
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're awake.
28:14
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's basically like, yeah, we don't, I don't necessarily have the power to like take him down one on one.
28:22
[SPEAKER_03]: So she's like, I'll just go to work.
28:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I guess like might as well go to school and search evil on the internet.
28:32
[SPEAKER_03]: It's so ridiculous, doesn't it?
28:33
[SPEAKER_03]: And she doesn't even know about browser history.
28:36
[SPEAKER_03]: No, girl, go on in Cognito mode.
28:38
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't be so evil on your school browser.
28:41
[SPEAKER_03]: But like, she falls asleep at work in front of a student.
28:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's embarrassing though.
28:48
[SPEAKER_03]: It's responsible.
28:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's very down and out about it too.
28:51
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, everybody just thinks I'm boring.
28:53
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a loser.
28:54
[SPEAKER_03]: You're just like, you don't even know my name.
28:56
[SPEAKER_03]: His name?
28:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
29:00
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know is Roger.
29:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Roger.
29:02
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty sure it was Roger, but he tells her like on the way out.
29:06
[SPEAKER_03]: But in this, in when she's sleeping, again her mom visits her.
29:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, are you, because you mentioned this earlier, like a like a a theory?
29:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think this is like mystique infecting her dreams?
29:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I, I do, I do.
29:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's more likely.
29:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's a unless this entity, this, this mom, her mom is different from the one that visited dawn.
29:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it does seem, I will say like,
29:41
[SPEAKER_03]: The one that visited Dawn was very much trying to throw Buffy under the bus and be like, she's not going to choose you when it comes to it in blah, blah, blah.
29:48
[SPEAKER_03]: This choice is like, you should sleep.
29:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you're not going to beat this thing if you don't rest.
29:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you need to sleep.
29:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, adjust.
30:00
[SPEAKER_02]: she's just saying like motherly things so you kind of feel like yeah this is actually joy is coming in through dreams which is definitely possible as if it's if the messaging is more motherly it's just I'm suspicious because
30:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, because like she can actually maybe like, oh, maybe this is my mom coming in.
30:23
[SPEAKER_02]: It's different from what Dawn said.
30:24
[SPEAKER_02]: She's saying different things.
30:27
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to trust this.
30:29
[SPEAKER_02]: And then it could be she could get baited.
30:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So it feels almost like what Joyce is saying feels.
30:38
[SPEAKER_03]: trying to think of the way to put it.
30:39
[SPEAKER_03]: It feels like things that a mom that is like omniscient might say, which is like, but evil isn't coming.
30:47
[SPEAKER_03]: It's already here.
30:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's everywhere.
30:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Evil is a part of us.
30:52
[SPEAKER_03]: It's natural.
30:52
[SPEAKER_03]: No one can stop that.
30:54
[SPEAKER_03]: like it feels very much like I am looking over and seeing the scope of everything and trying to like instill some wisdom into my daughter.
31:03
[SPEAKER_03]: But again, you could be right.
31:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Like this could be the first can be very manipulative.
31:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Like this could be then trying to manipulate Buffy.
31:12
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just interesting that like
31:14
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm also wondering, like, from a meta perspective, if they got the actor who plays Joyce back for like one episode, and they're like, you know what, we'll throw in a second.
31:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, well, just we'll throw in a second for, you know, for a little extra cash in your pocket.
31:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
31:31
[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe, I'll put either way.
31:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I just like, I do think it's very nice to even if it is ends up being the first being evil or whatever.
31:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, very happy to have.
31:44
[SPEAKER_03]: If it were me, I'm trying to put myself mentally in the space that Buffy's in, which is impossible, but like she's so tired, right?
31:51
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's like running herself ragged.
31:52
[SPEAKER_03]: She has no time to sleep because between patrolling and trying to find spike and like trying to research more about the first and having all these guests in her home, like she's really not sleeping.
32:02
[SPEAKER_03]: And when she but when she does sleep, she gets to see her mom.
32:07
[SPEAKER_03]: which I also assume is kind of like it cuts both ways.
32:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's both like a blessing and a curse of like, I miss my mom.
32:14
[SPEAKER_03]: And I get to like interact with her in some small way, like in my dreams.
32:19
[SPEAKER_03]: But also then you wake up and realize it's not real.
32:21
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's like a dagger to the heart, you know what I mean?
32:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, okay.
32:25
[SPEAKER_02]: So, be some of the, has experienced this.
32:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Most of the time when I dream about my father, I know that, and I like tell my dream self, or like, my dream self, it feels like creepy, because I'm like, I know that you're dead.
32:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you're a dream self knows that it's a dream.
32:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or like, or that like this, it doesn't feel right when like, because let's so, so sometimes like when I dream with my, my dad's my dreams, I'm like, I don't it feels like creepy or I know it's a dream and like I don't really like feel that comfortable there's one occasion where like while I was pregnant, I had a dream about.
33:14
[SPEAKER_02]: My dad and like we were talking about me having a boy and like he always wanted it like he really wanted it to son So that was probably like one of the only sweet type of interactions that I've had with my dream Self and my dream dad, but I don't know.
33:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I was just like sharing my own experiences and I I mean I don't know like I thought
33:44
[SPEAKER_02]: It depends.
33:44
[SPEAKER_02]: However, I'm also very, many, many, many years removed from true, from my dad passing, my dad being around, and Buffy's mom passed away a few years prior, it's not been very long and she's also much younger too, like what you think could be like, I hear your perspective that like, it, I mean, it is better speak like you wake up and you're like,
34:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, like, that could never happen or that wouldn't happen or I don't, she's not around, but anyway, like, I think that I think I think it would be nicer for, obviously, if Joyce was really visiting her from beyond, I just don't trust anything because I just feel as though, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I
34:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that the first is very tricksy, and I think it would make a lot of sense of like, oh, I trust this version of my mother coming through in dreams, and then...
34:51
[SPEAKER_02]: it turns.
34:52
[SPEAKER_02]: But who knows?
34:53
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, bull, wolves will find out eventually.
34:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I could see it going either way.
34:59
[SPEAKER_03]: I just like part of me is just like hopeful for Buffy's sake because it's, there's already so much on her shoulders that like to find out that she's being manipulated via her dreams.
35:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
35:13
[SPEAKER_03]: I the first who's pretending to be her mother.
35:17
[SPEAKER_03]: It is like very difficult.
35:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so anyway, so yes, so basically Buffy gets home and she they're like preparing for night, you know, for it to be night and everything.
35:30
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's not all the ugly bookies come out.
35:32
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is when we find out about a stupid ass in about who's decided to run off being a dumb fuck that she is.
35:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Why do you remember why she ran off anyway?
35:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Did we find out?
35:45
[SPEAKER_03]: I think she just ran off now.
35:47
[SPEAKER_02]: She just okay, like because I didn't know if I missed something.
35:50
[SPEAKER_02]: She just like I think Molly is just like BT Dubs like Annabelle's gone
35:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
35:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and both like she teach it.
36:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe once again, maybe she got manipulated by the first like maybe she got summoned or something.
36:06
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know.
36:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let me double check.
36:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on.
36:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
36:10
[SPEAKER_03]: All's it is is like jiles is basically be like telling, uh, telling buffy like everyone's depending on you blah blah blah.
36:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Molly just comes in and is like guys animals gone and then we just see animal running down the road.
36:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
36:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Who the fuck does?
36:26
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, they don't pick the slayers for their smarts.
36:29
[SPEAKER_02]: But you wouldn't pick the slayers.
36:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the fact that there is just a bunch of slayers out there that is kind of on the undec, essentially, I just have so many questions.
36:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, was Buffy on deck?
36:44
[SPEAKER_02]: We know that she wasn't.
36:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think.
36:47
[SPEAKER_02]: So I, like, w-
36:49
[SPEAKER_02]: I just like, I hate that I am seven seasons into this show and I still don't have an understanding of how or why a slayer is chosen.
37:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's, it feels like on a case by case.
37:07
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, we chose this one because she has the most powerful kicks known to man.
37:12
[SPEAKER_03]: We chose this one because she's so witty.
37:15
[SPEAKER_03]: We chose, you know what I mean?
37:16
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, I don't know.
37:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them are trained for years or like brought up to be sliders like Kendra and then some of them are summoned from a high school in Los Angeles, like Buffy.
37:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
37:27
[SPEAKER_02]: It's how and why it's so brand-time and she's like, well,
37:33
[SPEAKER_03]: That's not good enough, and that's all we know.
37:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
37:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
37:36
[SPEAKER_03]: And so Annabelle just splits.
37:39
[SPEAKER_03]: We literally see Graham Pappy like pick her up, squeeze her neck, her cross, just straight up falls off.
37:46
[SPEAKER_03]: So it also seems like that doesn't.
37:50
[SPEAKER_03]: prevent him from doing anything.
37:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Buffy is obviously going to go try to help, but she's like too late.
37:58
[SPEAKER_03]: She's like fighting this guy, but he like, Grandpa is still wrong.
38:03
[SPEAKER_03]: He's been taking those years underground and just building strengths.
38:09
[SPEAKER_02]: He has like one like bait boulder will know he has two bait boulders and one stick and he's just like these are my weights and I will bulk up all damn day.
38:20
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I have to do.
38:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, that's all
38:23
[SPEAKER_03]: he's been he's it's like when the guy is going to prison and then they like get see that's what he's been doing and so she like she's dropping beams on him like and he's just like NBD he throws her through a freaking wall she barely escapes with her life and on top of all of that she has to sit in the room and listen to
38:51
[SPEAKER_02]: And basically talk shit, they're like, yeah, that Buffy is a weak aspect.
38:56
[SPEAKER_02]: She's pathetic.
38:57
[SPEAKER_02]: She can't do anything right.
38:58
[SPEAKER_02]: She's not powerful enough.
39:00
[SPEAKER_02]: We're fucking doomed.
39:02
[SPEAKER_02]: That's stupid Buffy.
39:03
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like Buffy's just sitting there on the couch like, man, I just got my ass beat.
39:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And you guys are just talking shit all day, how cruel.
39:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, um, unbelievable.
39:15
[SPEAKER_03]: It's basically, oh, Buffy can't do this.
39:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, she's not strong enough.
39:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it just seems like so much bigger than all of us.
39:25
[SPEAKER_03]: And Buffy comes downstairs looking bruised as hell.
39:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And she basically gives them the like locker room speech.
39:31
[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, we're all scared.
39:33
[SPEAKER_03]: But we're not backing down.
39:35
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to be proactive, not reactive.
39:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was a powerful speech I suppose.
39:46
[SPEAKER_02]: So now we have the Scoobies plus the two potentials we got Giles back.
39:55
[SPEAKER_02]: I hope this was my hope for glory season where it was like a all hands-on deck type of thing
40:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I hope that there's like some sort of like big like we got to bring everybody.
40:07
[SPEAKER_02]: We got faith passed to come back at this point right?
40:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I would hope so.
40:12
[SPEAKER_02]: We need a battle at Hogwarts thing.
40:17
[SPEAKER_02]: We're like every yeah fucking bitch is involved in this fight.
40:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
40:22
[SPEAKER_02]: I would happily happily happily happily take Angel back for this fight.
40:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, why can't we have the people I'll tell you why because of what's going on on Angel.
40:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have to tell you.
40:35
[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll put a pin in that.
40:37
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll put a stake in that because we quickly have to talk about Spike being like tormented by Drew Ludo.
40:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
40:43
[SPEAKER_03]: So basically now that he's been blood of
40:47
[SPEAKER_03]: blood.
40:49
[SPEAKER_03]: He is being held hostage, and the first is torturing him in the form of Drulu Lu.
40:58
[SPEAKER_03]: And again, she's like, the first is really channelling her inner Drulu Lu.
41:04
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's trying to do like the crazy nonsense that Drulu Lu always likes to do.
41:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And
41:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Basically what she wants is to tell her everything he has revealed to Buffy.
41:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Like she knows he's been working with Buffy, and so she wants him to spill the beans, but he's and basically he's getting tortured as a result.
41:33
[SPEAKER_03]: But he's like hanging in there.
41:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Like he's holding strong, he's not cooperating with her or them, whatever.
41:43
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's pretty much the gist.
41:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't know if there's much more to talk about beyond like he holds out.
41:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Like he even says, I love the insult that he says to the first of like, you're not droolous to your silla.
41:57
[SPEAKER_03]: She was crazier than you.
41:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was just really funny.
42:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just being just a imitation.
42:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Not good enough.
42:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
42:07
[SPEAKER_03]: And also it's like,
42:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, the first is also trying to convince Spike to join their cause, like to join their side.
42:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Which, I'm like, if you know he has a soul, yeah.
42:19
[SPEAKER_03]: It just feels like a such a dumb argument.
42:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there's no way he's gonna join the bad side now that he has a soul, you know what I mean?
42:25
[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
42:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Shoulda caught him about a year and a half ago.
42:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he ate a little too little too late.
42:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, not only does he have a soul, but he's like so in love with Buffy.
42:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, he's not gonna, I don't know.
42:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
42:39
[SPEAKER_03]: The first says to Spike, do you know why you're alive?
42:42
[SPEAKER_03]: You're alive for one reason, because I wish it.
42:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know why I wish it?
42:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Because I'm not done with you.
42:50
[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, it's basically, I thought this was like a very effective interesting line to say to Spike too is, and what makes you think you have a choice?
42:59
[SPEAKER_03]: What makes you think you will ever be any good at all in this world.
43:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Like that has to cut deep, especially now that Spike has a soul and remembers every like bad thing he's ever done, you know, yeah, yeah, I'm sure that's I don't know this episode to me felt very
43:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Expositiony, like it was very much like, and this is what the first is about and this is what the first plan is and this is why we're all fucked.
43:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we needed it.
43:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, I needed the information because otherwise if I spent a whole another episode being absolutely wrong in every single possible way.
43:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
43:41
[SPEAKER_02]: goodness gracious.
43:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I needed it.
43:43
[SPEAKER_02]: I needed to have jiles come and explain me that everything I needed to have that Google search of evil.
43:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Like it was just it was just needed.
43:53
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
43:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So that was everything that happened on Buffy.
44:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Next episode is our halfway point for the season.
44:04
[SPEAKER_03]: And I will say season seven is definitely like at the very least it's
44:10
[SPEAKER_03]: It's focused.
44:12
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, this is the big God.
44:13
[SPEAKER_03]: This is what we're doing.
44:14
[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't have to wait until episode 12 to like figure out this out.
44:17
[SPEAKER_02]: They were like, we have shit to do.
44:19
[SPEAKER_02]: We have 22 episodes to do it.
44:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
44:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
44:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you ready to hear what happened on Angel?
44:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
44:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so we had a big episode for Angel.
44:30
[SPEAKER_03]: It was the episode called Awakening Awakening.
44:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, yes.
44:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So,
44:39
[SPEAKER_03]: We left off last time with us finding out that this BCB's has a connection to Angelus, not Angel and jealous.
44:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Angelus episode is like, I don't fucking get it.
44:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I remember everything that I've ever done as Angelus.
44:58
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like I blacked out for those things.
45:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Why don't I remember this guy?
45:02
[SPEAKER_03]: If this is such a thing, right?
45:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And, um,
45:07
[SPEAKER_03]: He even tries to sing for Lauren and Lauren, it doesn't, it doesn't like work for some of you saying.
45:12
[SPEAKER_03]: The thing is Sarah, all these motherfuckers want to bring and jealous out of Angel to try to get some answers and only Angel and Cordy are like bad idea, bad idea, no, no, no, no, no,
45:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, meanwhile, Connor is such a little pissy pants the whole time because Connor's like, hey, then, like, I had a girlfriend.
45:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Now she loves you and she doesn't want to play with me and also your little reason that's based, that you showed up.
45:44
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like so pissy pants the whole time.
45:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I hate him and I've been watching this show and it's so annoying is because it's the actor, the actor is the worst, the most annoying person that's ever existed in this world.
46:00
[SPEAKER_03]: He's terrible.
46:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Meanwhile, because this beast he is doing things, there's no sun.
46:06
[SPEAKER_03]: And if you live in LA, and you're like, there's no sun in LA, the LA people will riot.
46:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, they need the UV rays apparently.
46:16
[SPEAKER_03]: They can't live without their precious sun.
46:18
[SPEAKER_03]: This ain't Seattle, they can't do the doom and gloom.
46:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Now is it just straight up dark?
46:24
[SPEAKER_03]: It's dark all the time, which here's the thing.
46:26
[SPEAKER_03]: good for the spookies because they can come out in the dark and you know without the sun around.
46:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Sounds to me like angel has a free pass to hang out all damn day, exactly.
46:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So, Wesley, meanwhile, goes and finds this guy.
46:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I don't understand who the fuck this guy is.
46:50
[SPEAKER_03]: He is making some sort of tea.
46:53
[SPEAKER_03]: And he has apparently according to Wesley.
46:57
[SPEAKER_03]: He is the powers to not only remove souls, but to put them back.
47:01
[SPEAKER_03]: And angels like a fuck no, like we're not doing this.
47:05
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not, I'm not gonna become angelic, like absolutely not whatever.
47:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Is this guy verified to do this?
47:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Like does he have the blue check marker?
47:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Is this just a legit?
47:17
[SPEAKER_03]: All we know is he's like in this layer and Wesley somehow knows that this guy has this ability.
47:24
[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know how he knows this.
47:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Wesley has really got the end for the bad people.
47:28
[SPEAKER_02]: But okay.
47:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, um, Cordy goes up to Angel and is basically like, listen, bro, I'm with you.
47:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen you as Angel jealous and none of us should we we can't we can't be doing that.
47:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't experience this again.
47:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and Angel's basically like, I'm a huge danger Cordy says something that's actually pretty offensive and that she basically says in jealous is smarter because he's evil.
47:56
[SPEAKER_03]: She says Angelus is smarter than Angel.
47:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that I think is a fact because I've seen no evidence that Angel is intelligent at all.
48:06
[SPEAKER_03]: And here's the situation is her saying that she's basically like Angelus will think like this beasty beast, because he's as smart as the beasty beast.
48:15
[SPEAKER_03]: And Angel is immediately like light bulb I need to be Angelus.
48:19
[SPEAKER_03]: So he's like, yeah, because he's because he'll be smart enough
48:23
[SPEAKER_03]: He is, they start making a cage.
48:25
[SPEAKER_03]: This is like, um, you remember that show you, you watched that, right?
48:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, of course.
48:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
48:30
[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not metal bars.
48:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
48:34
[SPEAKER_03]: You remember the thing he had in the basement?
48:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no glass, all metal.
48:37
[SPEAKER_03]: No glass, all metal.
48:39
[SPEAKER_03]: They're making a cage because they need to contain him.
48:44
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're going to start this whole ritual.
48:47
[SPEAKER_03]: And angels like, don't look away.
48:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And he tries to tell Connor, he's like, I love you, my son, no matter what, I love you.
48:57
[SPEAKER_02]: so much.
48:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
48:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and, uh, so as, so he began this whole guy this guy, who, who paying or whatever, he starts this ritual.
49:08
[SPEAKER_03]: He then, in the middle of chanting while he's locked in this cage with Angel, takes out the sword and tries to kill Angel, and Angel is able to stop him and Angel is like, wait a minute, why does the beast he want me dead?
49:25
[SPEAKER_03]: He like threatens to kill this whooping guy.
49:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, whooping kills himself.
49:29
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's it.
49:31
[SPEAKER_02]: What?
49:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, this is why like I said you have to hire the people that are verified.
49:38
[SPEAKER_02]: We need to get like I don't know why we trusted this random anyway.
49:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so now He's dead.
49:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we can't have somebody we can't have just like could like get information because there was no ritual
49:53
[SPEAKER_03]: at all.
49:55
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing, right?
49:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're all like, what in the actual fuck?
49:58
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're like, they find because he's wearing this like garb.
50:02
[SPEAKER_03]: He's wearing this like hood and like wrapped thing.
50:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And underneath it, he has like tattoos all over his head and they have like a bunch of symbols.
50:10
[SPEAKER_03]: and so they're able to kind of like figuring the figure out that like he's a part of this order who's trying to like destroy the beast and there's like a sword.
50:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Apparently there's this big sword that can be that can be used to kill the beast and Cordy has a vision that it's in LA.
50:25
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like underground in LA or something.
50:28
[SPEAKER_03]: We also get a little bit of a angel Wesley reconciliation.
50:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, why, Wesley gave some bullshit advice.
50:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be like, Wesley, this is why we don't want you around.
50:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead.
50:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Wesley basically was like, I'm so sorry.
50:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I tried to take your baby.
50:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, sorry.
50:49
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, especially because it was Connor, if Connor stayed with you, maybe he would be less insufferable.
50:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was very ridiculous.
50:56
[SPEAKER_03]: So then we're all off to find the sword and we're going to go in pairs because obviously we're going
51:07
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, all these rooms have been booby trapped, like it's a whole thing.
51:12
[SPEAKER_03]: It's very, um, okay, so Connor and Wesley are in one group, and then, and, of course, what do you think Connor says to this when he gets sent with Wesley?
51:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any predictions for what his reaction was?
51:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obviously he's upset and angry that he didn't get paired with Cordelia.
51:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
51:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I only do it.
51:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Colourty.
51:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So too bad.
51:33
[SPEAKER_03]: So he, so right, so they're a send off together.
51:35
[SPEAKER_03]: And Cordelia's trying to apologize the whole time, whatever.
51:40
[SPEAKER_03]: There's like this, it reminds me of Indiana Jones, where they like give to swap the bags.
51:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know what I'm talking about on like a pillar, sort of,
51:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes, yes, yes, he like reaches into this portal pulls out this sword and then like all the sudden the room starts to like collapse and he does the whole like tackle Cordelia to save her and then the oops, I'm on top of you, you know, that sort of a situation.
52:08
[SPEAKER_03]: and Cordelia basically is like, listen, everything you did is Angelis, it doesn't matter to me.
52:14
[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to be forgiven.
52:15
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is when she says a line that truly fucking baffled me to my core, which was like, I just wanted to be with you, but I couldn't.
52:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like, that's your excuse for sleeping with his son.
52:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, sorry, I really wanted to fuck you, but you weren't around so I fucked your son instead because it's kind of the same thing.
52:35
[SPEAKER_03]: You were unavailable.
52:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I went with the next best dick.
52:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
52:41
[SPEAKER_03]: So basically, she's like apologizing and apologizing.
52:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Then it kiss, wild shit.
52:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Have they kissed before?
52:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so.
52:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
52:52
[SPEAKER_03]: One other time I don't remember.
52:54
[SPEAKER_03]: I think they've kissed one other time, but they had like her memories way.
52:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll turn it or something.
52:58
[SPEAKER_03]: That was really in their right mind.
52:59
[SPEAKER_03]: That was the ballet episode, I think.
53:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
53:03
[SPEAKER_03]: So Connor, of course, sees this.
53:05
[SPEAKER_03]: He's a me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, whatever.
53:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, oh, he sees it, so he sees it as happened, of course.
53:13
[SPEAKER_03]: So, um, they're talking about how do we kill this beast?
53:16
[SPEAKER_03]: We have to use the sword to get him in the head, right?
53:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and Angel is doing the whole fucking angel thing that he always does.
53:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody leaves the room.
53:26
[SPEAKER_03]: I have to do this alone.
53:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I have to do it's my responsibility.
53:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So, he's pulling a, a buffet.
53:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Except, there's so much like, yes.
53:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the arm meant to be together so made, it's like love each other's lives.
53:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Hold time, I thought it was alive, but maybe they are.
53:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Here comes the beast, and Angel tells everyone to leave.
53:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Quarity is like, you sing in God unless it's like carry her out.
53:54
[SPEAKER_03]: As Angel is fighting him with the sword, this fucking guy, the beast, like, grabs the sword and just like cracks it in half.
54:03
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like grabbing Angel by the throw, incomes Connor of course.
54:08
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like fighting the beast while the beast is like, honestly, please, please.
54:13
[SPEAKER_03]: While Connor has the beast distracted, Angel takes like the rest of the sword and stabs the guy in the head, and he like makes a big pile of dust basically.
54:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
54:23
[SPEAKER_03]: And as that happens, the sun returns to LA, and Connor's basically like,
54:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay Dan, I guess Cordelia obviously loves you.
54:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're gonna have her.
54:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm dying the fight as we all want to.
54:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone's like all excited, gone in Wesley's shit cans, which is like the bro version of being like, okay, we're cool now.
54:47
[SPEAKER_03]: All the L.A. people are like so, so happy, whatever, whatever, cordy, basically, she does the thing where you're standing on a balcony, like angels on the balcony, like looking out at the sun or whatever, everyone being happy, and cordy's standing behind him, like, it must be so hard for you.
55:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Because you get to see everyone happy, but you can't go outside now.
55:09
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a fair dramatic, and he's like, you know what he says?
55:13
[SPEAKER_03]: You may be able to guess what he says, just because it's so like soap opera.
55:17
[SPEAKER_03]: No, he thinks he says that.
55:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, he says, there's nowhere I'd rather be.
55:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, you know what I mean?
55:24
[SPEAKER_03]: So they kiss and he likes stops for a second, and she's like, no, don't worry.
55:31
[SPEAKER_03]: They're a fucking, he's going to pound town, boom, boom, boom, boom.
55:39
[SPEAKER_03]: And you know what happens?
55:41
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
55:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes, yes.
55:45
[SPEAKER_03]: He got out.
55:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Buffy.
55:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh God, no.
55:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Buffy.
55:51
[SPEAKER_03]: He says, Buffy, oh God, no.
55:53
[SPEAKER_03]: And then, then.
55:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
56:23
[SPEAKER_03]: To make Angel feel that perfect moment of bliss, AKA him coming.
56:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it was, it was, there was BooPang doing his trick.
56:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was, so he actually was like a verified person.
56:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he had the charm.
56:41
[SPEAKER_02]: The checkmark and the whole ritual worked.
56:46
[SPEAKER_03]: correct.
56:47
[SPEAKER_03]: And so in the cage, so like we're running in the cage, angel just looks over and he starts to like laugh in a way that is like pair evil and assumes an uncoording gracious like
57:06
[SPEAKER_03]: and that's where we end up.
57:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So he back, baby.
57:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, I'm actually okay, because I kind of thought it was cheap that him
57:21
[SPEAKER_02]: He becoming in jealous from sex again, again, like it should have only happened and worked.
57:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's buffy is what I'm saying.
57:33
[SPEAKER_03]: I understand what you're seeing.
57:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I totally understand that.
57:36
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, oh, okay, so the trick to getting angel his soul is for him to fuck someone he loves.
57:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, great.
57:41
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it was all just an illusion to get him to a happy enough.
57:45
[SPEAKER_03]: place to where the guy could extract his soul and we do see it like in a jar.
57:52
[SPEAKER_03]: So like either way, and jealous is back, I'm so happy.
57:57
[SPEAKER_03]: This I think is what people were like, just you wait, if it's going to get this is probably why because they know I fucking love how unhinged he is.
58:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
58:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but anyway, it was like a cut out episode.
58:08
[SPEAKER_02]: It was very fun.
58:10
[SPEAKER_02]: But the whole reason why we want
58:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so the baddies not defeated.
58:19
[SPEAKER_03]: He's not dead because everything that happened after that caged thing was in illusion.
58:24
[SPEAKER_03]: The beast is still alive.
58:27
[SPEAKER_03]: But this just proves that they could have done it without this.
58:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we don't know that we don't know that the sword is real.
58:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, right?
58:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Like don't you think it was a little bit coincidental that the sword just happens to be under LA where they
58:43
[SPEAKER_03]: That all could have just been fake.
58:45
[SPEAKER_03]: So basically the things that didn't even happen, that seemed like courty and angel, that's not, that didn't happen.
58:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Connor forgiving his father, that didn't happen.
58:55
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
58:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's so many things that like, I love how you're like, don't you think that blah, blah, no, I don't think about this show and my life is better for it.
59:05
[SPEAKER_03]: that's really fair.
59:06
[SPEAKER_03]: I just was like obsessed with number one and jealous coming back, number two, Courtney being like, well, you weren't around, so I fucked your son.
59:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, also in the scene where they fuck, Courtney has, because I told you, Courtney went from blonde to brinette.
59:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
59:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And now she has attempted a curl on the shorter hair.
59:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Is it okay?
59:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, it's okay.
59:29
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, obviously not as good as we've seen her hair be in general, but it's fine.
59:34
[SPEAKER_03]: That was a review of it.
59:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but there we see some like real pound town action.
59:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying.
59:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I watched last couple minutes of the episode.
59:42
[SPEAKER_03]: You get some town action.
59:43
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
59:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess if I'm ever in the need for some soft porn.
59:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll check it out.
59:52
[SPEAKER_03]: That's our episode of Angel.
59:54
[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see you in the next episode.
59:57
[SPEAKER_02]: You sounded like excited about this.
59:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Like this was bet like really good for you.
1:00:02
[SPEAKER_03]: The whole episode in its entirety, I was like, okay, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, until
1:00:09
[SPEAKER_03]: we got the cordy line of like well that's the reason I fucked your son and then we got in jealous.
1:00:13
[SPEAKER_03]: But did that that did not happen?
1:00:15
[SPEAKER_03]: That didn't happen.
1:00:15
[SPEAKER_03]: No, never happened.
1:00:16
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, okay.
1:00:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
1:00:18
[SPEAKER_03]: So fun stuff.
1:00:19
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see where the hell we go next week.
1:00:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, next episode of Buffy is season 7 episode 11, Showtime.
1:00:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
1:00:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I show time.
1:00:31
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I can't even, I can't halfway through the season.
1:00:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Bad them, fathom, uh, I mean, okay, the next episode of Angels also like, so obvious, season four of the show line, no, no, season four of the episode 11 solace, uh, okay, I mean, I, he'll get his soul back this episode has to be.
1:00:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait.
1:00:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm also glad that the Wesley reconciliation didn't happen, which makes sense, because it sounded like a lot of this stuff, was like, that doesn't make sense, you know?
1:01:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Wesley gave some bad information.
1:01:05
[SPEAKER_02]: No, he didn't.
1:01:06
[SPEAKER_02]: This was authentic information.
1:01:08
[SPEAKER_02]: It was.
1:01:09
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a whole ass mess is basically the gist of it.
1:01:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:01:13
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, exciting stuff.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I think we're ramping up in a big way on Buffie and on Angel.
1:01:20
[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing is Buffie's ramping up to the big guy, but we still have to season like
1:01:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the spikes of the resolve is a red herring, like is this not really the big bad?
1:01:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Is there no it has to be else?
1:01:35
[SPEAKER_03]: It has to be anyway.
1:01:38
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's based on the dot anything else you would like to tell the people there.
1:01:43
[SPEAKER_02]: No, we really haven't been watching Dexter, which haven't had time, honestly.
1:01:50
[SPEAKER_02]: The fall is very reserved in my household for sports.
1:01:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you!
1:01:57
[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a lot of time left, Dexter.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I am, yeah, I don't do sports.
1:02:04
[SPEAKER_03]: From what I understand baseball season is over.
1:02:07
[SPEAKER_02]: So, no, it's not.
1:02:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it is made painful for the men.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's sad for you.
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I don't know what's got, okay, um, just behind the scenes of the podcast.
1:02:19
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking at my husband to the left and he does have his phone Propped up with headphones and it does appear that there's baseball playing on the phone.
1:02:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he told me that they were done with the season So I don't know what he's watching.
1:02:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he's watching some other
1:02:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, team that's actually good.
1:02:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I doubt it because he doesn't like watching any other teams, but the men's thinkfully.
1:02:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Thankfully.
1:02:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't handle it, Sarah.
1:02:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I can barely even handle him being a fan of one sport.
1:02:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know what I would do if he was a span of sports year round.
1:02:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I like it.
1:02:53
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a commitment.
1:02:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We're always vibe in here for full Sundays at our house or like in the fall is actually kind of my favorite time of year.
1:03:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Is it like people come over or is it like you just have like stuff in a crock pot and stuff?
1:03:06
[SPEAKER_03]: All the above.
1:03:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
1:03:08
[SPEAKER_02]: All the above.
1:03:10
[SPEAKER_02]: The fall candles, you know, going the Oh, yeah, but you and Adam have very different tastes.
1:03:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that can't be true.
1:03:19
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so true.
1:03:19
[SPEAKER_02]: It's such a problem.
1:03:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you come on?
1:03:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you come to the good side?
1:03:23
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't want my house to smell like a fucking cake.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that sounds like a U-problem because that's what falls all about baby.
1:03:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you like, oh, I want the leaves.
1:03:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I love that's the manly phone set.
1:03:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:03:38
[SPEAKER_03]: No, give me the foods, Mills.
1:03:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want it.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want it.
1:03:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, that's about it.
1:03:46
[SPEAKER_03]: How about you?
1:03:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I've been, uh, binging Gilmore girls on my own because like we said it's fall and that's the show I like to watch in the fall.
1:03:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, beyond that, we're starting our yellow jackets rewatch because the final season comes out in November.
1:04:02
[SPEAKER_03]: I think I counted it's like 52 days or 51 days maybe now until it comes back and there's like 29 episodes.
1:04:09
[SPEAKER_03]: So we just make sure we are, you know, on top of it.
1:04:12
[SPEAKER_02]: I was watching forward with Gilmore Girls, but Adam got sad, so I stopped.
1:04:18
[SPEAKER_03]: because I'm a good wife.
1:04:19
[SPEAKER_03]: You have such a soft heart, Sarah.
1:04:21
[SPEAKER_03]: I really do.
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:04:23
[SPEAKER_03]: I only know many episodes did you get ahead before that happened episode?
1:04:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's, okay, Adam.
1:04:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Come on now.
1:04:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Let Sarah have a thing.
1:04:31
[SPEAKER_02]: He has so sad.
1:04:33
[SPEAKER_02]: And when he has like the sad face and like when he does the sad face, I feel so like my heart just bleeds.
1:04:42
[SPEAKER_03]: That's really funny.
1:04:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I could be manipulated in that way as easily.
1:04:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm very easily manipulated by a man who is partially known to be very manipulative is on his personality traits.
1:04:56
[SPEAKER_03]: It was something very funny to tell you okay so earlier little behind the scenes earlier a mutual friend of ours Brenna owner of the plaques.
1:05:03
[SPEAKER_03]: We drop her name all the time on the podcast.
1:05:04
[SPEAKER_02]: The plus is dead and okay She'll never hear this though is the thing.
1:05:09
[SPEAKER_02]: She'll never hear it.
1:05:10
[SPEAKER_02]: The plaques is so it's it's gone all the time now It's so bad and dead and Adam no one wants to tell her
1:05:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, like, I was in a group chat with her and like her husband about it and I was like, I was like, hey, like, husband, teach us teach us how to be hard and close.
1:05:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, no, how to make our own plaques, you know, like, you know, like you teach like a person to fish, they feed or you give a man a fish, they eat for a day, you teach a man to fish
1:05:47
[SPEAKER_02]: you know, teach us.
1:05:48
[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, no, like it's fine.
1:05:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I will fix the plaques whenever the plaques down.
1:05:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just a two annoying anyway.
1:05:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so not the plaques is always down.
1:05:57
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm be with it.
1:05:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, what were you going to say?
1:06:00
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
1:06:01
[SPEAKER_03]: no, totally fine.
1:06:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so yeah, so earlier, our friend, our mutual friend, Brenna, turned me on to upset, called vented.
1:06:08
[SPEAKER_03]: This set, they sell all kinds of used things, but like mainly I was looking at baby clothes because that's like the latest thing, right?
1:06:16
[SPEAKER_03]: So I was, as you may know, we just talked about this, my husband is huge medspan.
1:06:21
[SPEAKER_03]: And even though we live in New York, like sometimes it's not easy to find baby clothes that are meds stuff, especially not used,
1:06:31
[SPEAKER_03]: $35 on like something a baby will grow out of in like a month.
1:06:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so anyway, I was researching on like, okay, meds baby clothes, whatever.
1:06:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm fine on the website.
1:06:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I found this jersey.
1:06:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I was so excited because I was like, oh my gosh, it's like $5.
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And I had to look up to play her because I don't know baseball.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, we talked about this and it turned out to be Peter Lanzo and he's the polar bear.
1:06:52
[SPEAKER_03]: And if you, anyone who knows what that means, it means people love him.
1:06:55
[SPEAKER_03]: This guy was huge and
1:06:59
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I was searching to see, I'm like, I'm pretty sure what loves this guy, but I don't want to buy the jersey and I'm like, no, he loves this guy.
1:07:05
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
1:07:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Do I research, he loves the guy, I'm like beautiful, perfect, purchased, $5 done.
1:07:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like a...
1:07:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, it's like a 12's London 24 months or something.
1:07:16
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's bigger and so then a messaging will because I had asked him, what do you think about Peter Lanzo?
1:07:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, oh, well, he's not on the medicine anymore.
1:07:24
[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, I remember because you were so upset when the happened.
1:07:26
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like it was like a big, it's a BFD.
1:07:29
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a big fucking deal when this guy, when the meds got to like he was like, it was a travesty.
1:07:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
1:07:35
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a big tragedy in our household when this guy was on the medicine anymore.
1:07:39
[SPEAKER_03]: and he was like, why?
1:07:40
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, why can't tell you to surprise?
1:07:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Because I want to surprise him, but the truth is, he's perfect, but he's so annoying, he's pestering me, he's like, no, but why?
1:07:48
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, well, it's a kid recent, and he's like, but why?
1:07:52
[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, oh, fine, like, I found the stress, and he's like, well, I don't want him to have that, because he won't even know him as a man.
1:07:59
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, bokehers.
1:08:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's literally a dream.
1:08:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's literally a dream.
1:08:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I saw I got real mad.
1:08:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I was like, I did research.
1:08:07
[SPEAKER_03]: I tried so hard on this and I was so excited about it.
1:08:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, poop would have been great for him to spit in your face like that.
1:08:14
[SPEAKER_03]: He basically spit my face.
1:08:15
[SPEAKER_03]: He basically like haught a lugey right in my mouth.
1:08:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, softful.
1:08:20
[SPEAKER_03]: and then this is, and this is the thing where maybe I'm the atom here, I might be the atom.
1:08:26
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I know that this would be true, but go on.
1:08:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I got so mad.
1:08:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
1:08:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
1:08:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
1:08:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
1:08:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I know this game so he comes home.
1:08:40
[SPEAKER_03]: But here's the here's hypocrisy in the whole situation, okay?
1:08:44
[SPEAKER_03]: As he comes home, and I was like wait a minute wait a minute.
1:08:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I said do you not own and Lanzo Jersey and he says yes, I do Yeah, but just see where any more
1:08:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I think so like I don't know what's the point of having if you're out of it like it's just I told him when he first was like anyone who could do it I was like final frame and we'll put it on the wall and he's like what I don't want him to have it and not wear it.
1:09:10
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm telling you.
1:09:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what I said to him, Sarah, I said, sports is so stupid because people move around all the time to the point where it's like, why even bother buying a thing with the name on it because that person's not gonna be on that team in like a year?
1:09:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, oh, I'm thankful that the Cubs jersey that I bought has no names on it.
1:09:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I was so mad.
1:09:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would, that would hurt me.
1:09:33
[SPEAKER_02]: That would hurt you.
1:09:34
[SPEAKER_03]: And eventually he apologized to me multiple times.
1:09:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Now it's fine.
1:09:37
[SPEAKER_02]: But well, is the child allowed to wear the job?
1:09:42
[SPEAKER_03]: No, he's he's going to be allowed to.
1:09:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, okay, can I actually like that's adorable?
1:09:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the alternative was actually really cute too, framing it.
1:09:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I know, but the problem is our nursery theme isn't like baseball.
1:09:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, mine is so.
1:09:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
1:09:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Here's his bear playing sports.
1:09:59
[SPEAKER_03]: We know this.
1:10:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
1:10:01
[SPEAKER_03]: So, my mom, every time I bring this up, my mom laughs, I have to tell you, my mom thinks it's hysterical.
1:10:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:10:07
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like small hypersensical.
1:10:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Two bear playing sports.
1:10:11
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the nursery thing with bear playing sports.
1:10:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I limit the amount of like sporey things I'll buy in terms of like clothing and other things because it's here's the thing like Wilson to baseball, but he's not like he's into like every other sport.
1:10:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:10:25
[SPEAKER_03]: So like I wouldn't buy like football things.
1:10:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Adams literally into every single sport.
1:10:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand that.
1:10:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have the attention span for that.
1:10:33
[SPEAKER_02]: he loves it and I'm happy he has a hobby.
1:10:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it for him.
1:10:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:10:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:10:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, that was my therapy session that I needed to get off my chest because turns out I probably am just at him.
1:10:44
[SPEAKER_03]: That would be in reverse.
1:10:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Really annoying me.
1:10:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
1:10:47
[SPEAKER_02]: There was one time when Adam tickled me so hard that I fought back, I kicked myself and then I heard his arm and then I...
1:10:56
[SPEAKER_02]: you kicked yourself?
1:10:58
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I kicked him.
1:10:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
1:10:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
1:11:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
1:11:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
1:11:00
[SPEAKER_02]: So you kicked your like out to protect myself myself because I was like literally about to pee my pants because the pelvic floor is not as good as it used to be.
1:11:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't get started on sneezing.
1:11:11
[SPEAKER_03]: No sneezes are safe anymore, and I am a sneezeer.
1:11:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I have allergies.
1:11:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Ew.
1:11:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so, and then he was like all sad and pissy and mad that I heard his arm.
1:11:25
[SPEAKER_02]: And so then I had to apologize to him for hurting him.
1:11:29
[SPEAKER_02]: But I almost Peter Bed.
1:11:33
