- 4:38Speaker 4: mindset with a quote. In every Friday we find a
- 4:41Speaker 4: lyric from either an eighties or nineties song in honor
- 4:45Speaker 4: of our best of the eighties and nineties weekend.
- 4:47Speaker 3: And we're going to go back to the nineties for
- 4:48Speaker 3: this when one of the first songs from the group
- 4:51Speaker 3: Destiny's Child, say my Name, Say my name. When no
- 4:56Speaker 3: one is around you say baby, I love you. If
- 5:00Speaker 3: you ain't running game, say my name, say my name.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Oh my focus on that and know your worth today.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Expect to be valued say my name. See it's more
- 5:13Speaker 3: than just being egotistical in a relationship with somebody. It's
- 5:17Speaker 3: about knowing your worth and expecting to be valued. I
- 5:22Speaker 3: don't know if you needed to hear that this morning,
- 5:24Speaker 3: but you're valued. Thank you so much. Make sure you
- 5:27Speaker 3: know you're worth and thank you for listening to us.
- 5:29Speaker 3: If Destiny's Child spoke to you. You can find your
- 5:32Speaker 3: morning mindset Tobyan Chilipage washfm dot com or also on
- 5:35Speaker 3: our Instagram. Feel free to take its shared. It's also
- 5:38Speaker 3: on Facebook all of the things. All right, We're Toby
- 5:41Speaker 3: and Chilly in the Morning. And by the way, don't
- 5:43Speaker 3: forget five o'clock. Sabrina kicks off your best of the
- 5:45Speaker 3: eighties and nineties weekend. All right, all right, now stay
- 5:49Speaker 3: with us because in just a few minutes.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Apparently there are some projects that women do not want
- 5:54Speaker 4: their husbands to do around the house. We're going to
- 5:58Speaker 4: tell you what they are, yeah, and why in just
- 6:01Speaker 4: a few minutes. Is Toby and Chilly in the Morning
- 6:04Speaker 4: continues on Buckle Up Men ninety seven point one wash
- 6:08Speaker 4: chef m Buckle Up.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Washington's variety from the eighties, nineties and today. It plays
- 6:14Speaker 3: here on ninety seven point one wash CHEFM. We're Toby
- 6:16Speaker 3: and Chilly in the Morning. I'm just going to read
- 6:18Speaker 3: this headline and I'm gonna get out of the way
- 6:20Speaker 3: because this has to do with guys, specifically husbands wives
- 6:25Speaker 3: would rather hire a handyman to do the job. Jiliamar
- 6:29Speaker 3: the breakdown.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Well, sixty one percent of women say they'd rather hire
- 6:33Speaker 4: a professional than ask their husbands to attempt a project
- 6:36Speaker 4: around the house. Okay, despite that preference, almost sixty percent
- 6:40Speaker 4: of home improvements, unfortunately, are attempted by men. Right now,
- 6:45Speaker 4: here are the top home improvements that they do not
- 6:48Speaker 4: want their husbands to do.
- 6:49Speaker 3: These would be the wives, Yes.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Upgrading the kitchen, tiling a bathroom, laying down flooring, wallpapering
- 6:57Speaker 4: or painting, and replacing an electrical outlet.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Would you say this is true in your relationship?
- 7:03Speaker 4: It is because my husband is not handy.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Does he admit that?
- 7:06Speaker 4: Yes? That is the That is the good part of this, right,
- 7:09Speaker 4: He's not delusional. He realizes his inability to fix things. However,
- 7:16Speaker 4: there are some basic things around the house that I
- 7:18Speaker 4: wish he would do more often. Like what's an example, Okay,
- 7:21Speaker 4: Like if we have a broken handle on something, Okay,
- 7:24Speaker 4: like he doesn't want to toilet, Well, he definitely fixes that,
- 7:27Speaker 4: and he's very proud of himself. I'm talking about like
- 7:29Speaker 4: a handle on the microwave, or like a handle on
- 7:33Speaker 4: a cabinet or the drawers like he does like one
- 7:36Speaker 4: quick half attempt to do it, and then if he
- 7:38Speaker 4: can't do it, it's like he just lets it stay
- 7:40Speaker 4: broken or whatever. And that's annoying. And that's why I
- 7:44Speaker 4: would just rather just, okay, just hire a professional then
- 7:47Speaker 4: if you're not going to be handy about it.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I'm with you on the hiring the professional stuff, because
- 7:51Speaker 3: I know that my handiness is limited and I can
- 7:53Speaker 3: admit that. However, give me a good YouTube video and
- 7:56Speaker 3: I can figure some things out, but not the in
- 7:59Speaker 3: depth stuff.
- 8:00Speaker 4: You know.
- 8:00Speaker 3: But when I look at this list, I think about
- 8:02Speaker 3: my father, who has upgraded the kitchen before by himself.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Do you think your mother is happy and pleased with
- 8:09Speaker 4: your dad's work?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Sure, because he laid the hardwood flooring by himself, okay,
- 8:15Speaker 3: you know. And I think you know she gets to
- 8:17Speaker 3: do the painting, he gets to do the heavy lifting.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I think they have a understanding with him that, you
- 8:22Speaker 3: know what, He's pretty good at certain things, much better
- 8:25Speaker 3: than myself or my brother's dad. The handyman I will
- 8:28Speaker 3: never be. If you want to read more about this,
- 8:31Speaker 3: we've got you covered on the Tobya chilipage at washefm

- 12:01Speaker 3: seasoned citizens if you, will In, Reno.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Nevada, yeah it's all to combat. Loneliness so you've got
- 12:08Speaker 4: one outside of a coffee shop In boston and then
- 12:11Speaker 4: the other payphone inside a senior living. Facility, right and
- 12:15Speaker 4: anytime you pick up the, phone you automatically connect to the.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Person so on one it says call a, boomer the
- 12:21Speaker 4: other one it, says call a. Zoomer and what's great
- 12:24Speaker 4: is these are two very lonely groups of people in,
- 12:26Speaker 4: society apparently to. Research, right you've got the college students
- 12:29Speaker 4: who are kind of feeling, isolated and you've got the
- 12:32Speaker 4: seniors who are in their living, facility and they can
- 12:35Speaker 4: ask each other just random questions or for.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Advice, Oh i'd be having a field day with that.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Phone, well what is, something AS i, mean what is
- 12:43Speaker 4: something that you like to talk to older generations about.
- 12:46Speaker 3: About, history about the things and the lessons that we've
- 12:49Speaker 3: learned prior to what we're going through. Today you, know,
- 12:53Speaker 3: like for, example previous generations fought in One World war,
- 12:56Speaker 3: two they went To, vietnam they came home From World
- 12:59Speaker 3: War two and they became The greatest. Generation what is
- 13:02Speaker 3: it that motivated them to come together when they came,
- 13:04Speaker 3: back and how can we apply that to? NOW i,
- 13:06Speaker 3: Mean i'm not trying to get too, specific but, YEAH
- 13:08Speaker 3: i would pick up that phone AND i would start
- 13:10Speaker 3: asking one of these boomers or, whatnot one of these,
- 13:14Speaker 3: seniors And i'd want to know what they, did AND
- 13:16Speaker 3: i would take notes because they seem to have done it. Right,
- 13:19Speaker 3: yeah what about? You?
- 13:20Speaker 4: WELL i talked to people in my, family the older
- 13:23Speaker 4: generations in my. Family i'm first Generation Armenian, american And
- 13:26Speaker 4: i'm always fascinated by how the previous generation left a,
- 13:30Speaker 4: country left everything they, knew and came to this country
- 13:33Speaker 4: to start from, scratch literally with just a few dollars
- 13:36Speaker 4: in their, pocket barely knowing a, language and building a
- 13:39Speaker 4: life for their future. GENERATION i. AM i admire that
- 13:42Speaker 4: so much And i'm always fascinated by.
- 13:44Speaker 3: That right, on and by the, WAY i think it's
- 13:47Speaker 3: very very cool that your family came here in pursuit
- 13:50Speaker 3: of this, dream this idea that we Call. America you, know,
- 13:53Speaker 3: what would you talk to a member of the older
- 13:56Speaker 3: generation about eight, six, six nine two seven forty three

- 14:27Speaker 4: Nevada and these payphones connect two different generations so they
- 14:30Speaker 4: can ask each other, questions and the goal being to
- 14:34Speaker 4: connect them because those are very lonely feeling generations. Apparently,
- 14:39Speaker 4: yeah so.
- 14:40Speaker 3: It got us talking about what you would discuss with
- 14:43Speaker 3: a member of the older. Generation. Right that could be
