- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast. Let's go to Nat and get
- 0:03Speaker 1: a hit of celeb news. What's going on today?
- 0:05Speaker 2: So Kim Kardashian has just been awarded one euro, which
- 0:09Speaker 2: is the equivalent of $ 1. 62 Australian, by a Paris court
- 0:13Speaker 2: over that 2016 armed robbery where she was robbed of
- 0:17Speaker 2: $ 6 million worth of jewellery.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Wait, what?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so back in 2016, she was alone in her
- 0:23Speaker 2: room in Paris when five masked men, some dressed as
- 0:26Speaker 2: police actually, in fact, broke in, held her at gunpoint,
- 0:29Speaker 2: bound and gagged her, put her in a bathtub and
- 0:31Speaker 2: stole all the millions of dollars worth of jewelry from
- 0:34Speaker 2: her in the middle of the night. Now, I believe
- 0:36Speaker 2: at the time it was reported that they said that
- 0:38Speaker 2: they knew she had all this jewelry on her because
- 0:40Speaker 2: she was uploading photos on socials with literally dripping in diamonds.
- 0:45Speaker 2: So they did catch the men. The French media dubbed
- 0:48Speaker 2: the group the Grandpa Robbers because they were actually quite
- 0:50Speaker 2: old and had a big record of criminal, like a
- 0:53Speaker 2: big criminal history. However, they never really recovered majority of
- 0:57Speaker 2: that jewellery. So the men were found and everything, but
- 1:02Speaker 2: Kim did want to sue them symbolically. um for what
- 1:06Speaker 2: happened to her and she wanted to be recognized as
- 1:07Speaker 2: a victim uh so she sued them for one euro
- 1:10Speaker 2: only so it's like i don't want the money it's
- 1:12Speaker 2: not about me a money or a cash grab here
- 1:14Speaker 2: but i do want to be you know like recognized
- 1:18Speaker 2: as a victim and she has been so she's released
- 1:21Speaker 2: a statement saying we are grateful for the to the
- 1:23Speaker 2: french justice system for recognizing us as victims of the
- 1:25Speaker 2: terrible events that took place also a former hotel receptionist
- 1:29Speaker 2: who says they were traumatized by the incident has been
- 1:31Speaker 2: awarded a couple hundred thousand dollars as.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Well That would be absolutely terrifying. Middle of the night,
- 1:39Speaker 3: someone breaks into your room, like bounds and gags you.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Absolutely. Five men.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I think at the time in an interview said she
- 1:47Speaker 2: thought she was going to be raped because you wouldn't
- 1:49Speaker 2: know what they're there for.
- 1:50Speaker 1: That's right, yeah.
- 1:50Speaker 2: So, like, I mean, you can say, oh, Kim Kardashian, like,
- 1:53Speaker 2: she's got everything. But that is horrifying for any woman
- 1:56Speaker 2: or any person on this earth.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And how good she didn't want money. She just wanted
- 1:59Speaker 1: the symbolism of knowing that the wrong thing had happened.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so a big win for Kimmy K there. Now,
- 2:05Speaker 2: Benny Blanco, he's the husband of Selena Gomez. They've been
- 2:08Speaker 2: together for three years total. Got married last September, so
- 2:11Speaker 2: married about a year ago now. But everyone's kind of,
- 2:14Speaker 2: it's begged the question for the last three years, how
- 2:16Speaker 2: the hell did Benny Blanco pull Selena Gomez? Because if
- 2:19Speaker 2: you know what he looks like, and he's the first
- 2:21Speaker 2: to admit, he's not an attractive man.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah. In any sort of way. He's talented.
- 2:25Speaker 2: No one's doubting his talents, but he is unattractive.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Does he dress ugly and his hair's all messy and
- 2:31Speaker 1: stuff as well? Is that kind of a look as well?
- 2:33Speaker 2: He's got an afro, so, I mean, you could call
- 2:36Speaker 2: that looking a bit messy, but it's more so the
- 2:39Speaker 2: fact that he's got a monobrow that he doesn't really.
- 2:42Speaker 3: You kind of think, like, Selena Gomez, famous pop singer,
- 2:45Speaker 3: she could pretty much have anyone she wanted.
- 2:47Speaker 1: She gets a monobrow guy.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Used to have Justin Bieber, used to date The Weeknd,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and then to go to Benny Blanco, everyone's like, hmm.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Really? No, I bet you he's real funny.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Well, yeah, he is quite funny. But, yeah, he actually
- 2:58Speaker 2: was asked in a recent interview how he won her over,
- 3:00Speaker 2: and this is what he said.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Like, I have the most beautiful wife in the world.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I did it, and I didn't use, like, black magic
- 3:07Speaker 4: or anything. I just was nice, and it's like not
- 3:10Speaker 4: being a d * * *. being nice to people,
- 3:12Speaker 4: put her into my orbit.
- 3:13Speaker 1: A lot of guys would hear that and they think
- 3:16Speaker 1: that you don't need to be, yeah, the nice guy
- 3:19Speaker 1: wins last or whatever it is. Yeah, I totally disagree.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I totally disagree with that. And I don't know where
- 3:24Speaker 3: men get this idea that, like.
- 3:26Speaker 1: True to moon, keep them keen.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Like, it actually doesn't work.
- 3:29Speaker 1: A lot of the Menosphere stuff talks about that. There'll
- 3:31Speaker 1: be a lot of young guys listening to it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: The women that that works on is not the women
- 3:36Speaker 2: that you'd want to be with.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So I know you've played these games in the past, Mikey,
- 3:40Speaker 2: back in your days of toxic dating.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Back in the back. Yeah, I said that.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And then, like, you've even admitted you've read books like
- 3:46Speaker 2: The Game and things like that.
- 3:47Speaker 1: It's a good book.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Which is basically where the Menosphere began back in the day.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But did any of those relationships work out, the ones
- 3:54Speaker 2: where you used trickery and things like that to pull
- 3:57Speaker 2: the women?
- 3:57Speaker 1: Nah.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And one was particularly mental.
- 4:01Speaker 2: It can only get you so far. I think a
- 4:03Speaker 2: woman who's looking for the right things and wants to
- 4:05Speaker 2: be in a relationship for the right reasons, genuinely all
- 4:08Speaker 2: we want is someone who's nice to us.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Nice, vanilla kind of guy.
- 4:12Speaker 3: No, just nice. Respectful, nice, with a good sense of humour.
- 4:15Speaker 1: That's it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: We don't ask for much.
- 4:17Speaker 1: What if you're nice but you're boring and have no
- 4:19Speaker 1: sense of humour? But you're good looking. I'm thinking of
- 4:23Speaker 1: a guy. I think everyone has different preferences.
- 4:26Speaker 3: For me, having a sense of humour, being quite witty,
- 4:28Speaker 3: that's important to me. Being able to have a conversation
- 4:31Speaker 3: and a laugh with my partner is quite important.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Cool. Well, you've got to have something, don't you, basically? Yes,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you do. A zero, boring and no sense of humour.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Zeros don't exist. We've discussed this before. Nobody is a zero.
- 4:45Speaker 2: So everyone's got a redeeming quality of some sort.
- 4:48Speaker 1: What's the lowest you could go then?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Number-wise.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you think? Looks-wise, it depends. What are
- 4:53Speaker 1: we talking? The whole package.
- 4:56Speaker 2: No one's going to go a low number then because
- 4:58Speaker 2: that means they're a dick, you know?
- 4:59Speaker 1: Yeah, no, but I mean if you're saying there's no zeros,
- 5:02Speaker 1: are there ones and twos?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd say like someone who's been convicted of a
- 5:06Speaker 2: heinous crime could be considered a one. Ivan Milat maybe is.
- 5:09Speaker 1: The closest thing to a zero.
- 5:11Speaker 2: He's the closest thing to a zero I could think
- 5:13Speaker 2: of right now.
