Latest / Outspoken the Podcast / Are Skye Wheatley & Michael Finch Friends Again?
Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture
- 0:08Speaker 2: news twice a week.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm Amy Torber. I'm Kate Torber. And I'm Sophie Torber.
- 0:13Speaker 2: And coming up on today's show, Bec Zachariah's rib recontouring backflip,
- 0:18Speaker 2: the influencer baby boom, and are Sky Wheatley and.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Michael Finch friends again? But first, Hilary Duff's.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Tour is only a couple of months away. We will
- 0:28Speaker 2: see her in Australia in October. And to get us
- 0:32Speaker 2: even more excited, if that's possible, for the tour, our
- 0:35Speaker 2: mum dug up all of our old Hilary Duff CDs.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And at family dinner last night, we decided to play
- 0:42Speaker 2: a game of who could guess all of the songs
- 0:45Speaker 2: on the CDs. The husbands were really rapt about this game,
- 0:47Speaker 2: especially Dale, who had been seated right down the end
- 0:50Speaker 2: with us.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It was actually quite tragic.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Like I could, you know, when you sort of, can
- 0:55Speaker 2: see out of yourself and like you're a fly on
- 0:58Speaker 2: the wall.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I was like, God, we look pathetic. But I didn't care.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Like I was so engulfed in it and the nostalgia
- 1:04Speaker 2: of it all. I didn't even care because usually at
- 1:06Speaker 2: family dinner, we're at each other's throats.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Like we are arguing.
- 1:09Speaker 2: But it was this really wholesome time. It brought me
- 1:11Speaker 2: back to when we were teenagers.
- 1:13Speaker 1: When we got along.
- 1:14Speaker 2: And we were so lovely to each other because we
- 1:16Speaker 2: all liked the same things. We could all get around
- 1:17Speaker 2: the same celebrities. At one point, my husband was like,
- 1:20Speaker 2: I think I prefer when they fight with each other.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Is that when we started in unison singing Haters by
- 1:26Speaker 2: Hilary Duff?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Like that was a low point.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Oh my God, I forgot about that song. I'm so
- 1:30Speaker 2: sad she's not actually playing it at the concert. Amongst
- 1:33Speaker 2: the Hilary Duff CDs were some other classic ones. I
- 1:36Speaker 2: will have the podcast listeners know that we actually have
- 1:39Speaker 2: a signed copy of Lee Harding's Wasabi.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Now, we got it signed.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Look, arguably, that was the most embarrassing CD until we
- 1:50Speaker 2: found the handmade one. So, Kate, you had spent time
- 1:53Speaker 2: making Sophie a CD which had a photo of Dean
- 1:56Speaker 2: Geyer on the front. There was also photos of Dean
- 1:58Speaker 2: Geyer throughout the casing of the CD.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And it was entitled... the real winner's journey.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Obviously in reference to the fact that Dean Guyer did
- 2:07Speaker 2: not take out the crown for Australian Idol that year.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Can you believe that Damien Leith beat him?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Like who was voting for, no offence Damien Leith, I'm
- 2:15Speaker 2: sure you're a lovely guy, but who was voting for
- 2:17Speaker 2: Damien Leith over Dean Guyer? Amy ended up sharing the
- 2:20Speaker 2: CD on Outspoken Instagram story. I noticed you did tag
- 2:23Speaker 2: Dean Gaia and it just cracked me up because Amy's
- 2:26Speaker 2: husband there was like, are you trying to flirt with
- 2:28Speaker 2: him or something? Like, is that what, and then yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 2: as a joke. And I was like, oh, well, yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 2: I am. You're like, I'll call you, pick up on that.
- 2:36Speaker 1: But the funniest thing was like, of course I'm not.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Like, this is actually, this is making us look so
- 2:41Speaker 2: fucking tragic.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I really, yeah. Dean's not going to reply to that shit.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Well, also, I mean, I think his partner is a
- 2:46Speaker 2: couple of weeks away from having their baby.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So I'm sure he's not.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A few more important things going on.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I actually think the wasabi was the lowest moment of
- 2:55Speaker 2: the night because we were actually trying to auction off
- 2:57Speaker 2: the CD. So it was who wants this one? And
- 3:01Speaker 2: our partners were shocked because we were fighting over who was.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Getting which CD.
- 3:06Speaker 2: And Brandon was like, please, I don't fucking want any
- 3:08Speaker 2: of these in our house. I actually think the lowest
- 3:10Speaker 2: point of the night was when we remembered that we
- 3:12Speaker 2: went to the Young Divas signing and our partners were like,
- 3:16Speaker 2: why did you do that?
- 3:17Speaker 1: And we're like, there wasn't much going on. I mean,
- 3:19Speaker 1: we were 18 at the time. The age was the
- 3:23Speaker 1: saddest part.
- 3:23Speaker 2: But as I said to Brandon, who was having a
- 3:25Speaker 2: laugh at how old we were, I read a recent
- 3:28Speaker 2: article and it was talking about people like us who
- 3:32Speaker 2: went along to signings or were really heavily invested in
- 3:34Speaker 2: particular musicians.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Can I call the Young Divas musicians? Yeah, stans of artists.
- 3:40Speaker 1: There's some great singers in the Young Divas. I'm not
- 3:42Speaker 1: happy to speak badly of them. They actually do.
- 3:44Speaker 2: But apparently a lot of people who are stans turn
- 3:48Speaker 2: into journalists. Is that because they're good at hounding people? Yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Very inquisitive.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Look, Brandon was giving us shit. He knew every single
- 3:56Speaker 2: word to wasabi.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I mean he probably was 12 when it came out.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I was going to say he was probably at
- 4:02Speaker 2: the age where it was more acceptable. But I want
- 4:04Speaker 2: to put it out there to Outspoken's audience. Like was
- 4:07Speaker 2: it embarrassing of us to go to signings, like CD
- 4:10Speaker 2: signings when we were 17, 18?
- 4:12Speaker 1: I thought that was play on, like to be honest.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I mean I do it now.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I think it was okay because we looked 12. But
- 4:17Speaker 2: I mean, wouldn't you guys do that now? If Hilary
- 4:19Speaker 2: Duff had a signing, I'd definitely line up. But I
- 4:22Speaker 2: think 18 is quite young. I said to Brandon, but
- 4:26Speaker 2: if you're a teenager, how can you go to these signings? Like,
- 4:28Speaker 2: I mean, our parents weren't dropping us off when we
- 4:30Speaker 2: were teenagers. We drove our Barina down there. Look, it's
- 4:33Speaker 2: probably quite sexist, but to be honest, if my husband
- 4:35Speaker 2: told me that he lined up at the Young Divas
- 4:37Speaker 2: signing when he was 18, I'd probably have something to
- 4:39Speaker 2: say about it. Yeah, but they're all lining up meeting
- 4:41Speaker 2: footy players and getting photos with them.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So were we. That's a different reason.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Bec Zachariah has announced she will be getting her ribs
- 4:51Speaker 2: recontoured in Bali. Last week, the maths contestant backed out
- 4:55Speaker 2: of getting the controversial cosmetic procedure during an all expenses
- 4:59Speaker 2: brand trip. At the time, the stunt was labeled a
- 5:02Speaker 2: PR ploy by fellow maths contestant Dom Calarco. I was
- 5:06Speaker 2: actually pretty surprised that Bec went ahead with this surgery.
- 5:08Speaker 2: And I wonder how much pressure was actually put upon
- 5:10Speaker 2: her by the brand that's paying for this all expenses
- 5:13Speaker 2: paid surgical trip because she literally went to the hospital
- 5:17Speaker 2: only a week earlier, you know, was all marked up,
- 5:19Speaker 2: ready to go and backed out of it. So clearly
- 5:22Speaker 2: she had some concerns. I mean, at the time she
- 5:24Speaker 2: said she needed a little bit more time to think
- 5:26Speaker 2: about her decision and now she's suddenly, oh no, I'm
- 5:29Speaker 2: so confident about it. Like what's happened in between? Or
- 5:32Speaker 2: was this a bit of showbiz for the Maths Funny podcast?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Because as we touched on a couple of weeks ago,
- 5:39Speaker 2: journalist Josh Ewer-Fox has.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Been following this brand trip.
- 5:43Speaker 2: He actually received free airfares and also free accommodation as
- 5:46Speaker 2: part of it. He did tell the brand that he
- 5:50Speaker 2: wouldn't be restricted by what he wanted to say and
- 5:52Speaker 2: he would be covering it in a non-biased way. However,
- 5:56Speaker 2: that obviously did put a bit of seed of doubt
- 5:58Speaker 2: over the coverage.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But when Beck pulled out of the surgery.
- 6:02Speaker 2: It made his reporting look more genuine and as if
- 6:06Speaker 2: he was showing the potential negative side effects and the
- 6:09Speaker 2: fear around this sort of cosmetic procedure. I mean, it
- 6:12Speaker 2: was definitely good timing for Josh and his podcast. And
- 6:15Speaker 2: there clearly is a bit of a friendship here between
- 6:17Speaker 2: Beck and Josh. I mean, the only reason Josh documented
- 6:20Speaker 2: it on his podcast was because.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Beck was on the trip.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And I wouldn't be surprised if this was all a
- 6:25Speaker 2: ploy for PR from Beck. I mean, she's been very
- 6:28Speaker 2: good at maintaining attention off the back of maths. She
- 6:31Speaker 2: was one of the most hated contestants on there and
- 6:34Speaker 2: suddenly is now like the most followed, the person that's
- 6:36Speaker 2: getting all of the brand deals.
- 6:38Speaker 1: And she's smart.
- 6:39Speaker 2: She knows in order to do that, she's going to
- 6:40Speaker 2: stay in the headlines and create drama. And she already
- 6:43Speaker 2: created such a media storm by aligning her story with
- 6:46Speaker 2: the Mass Funny podcast. Then she's created all these twists
- 6:50Speaker 2: and turns and drama because now that she's had the surgery,
- 6:53Speaker 2: she's actually disappeared offline despite saying that she was going
- 6:57Speaker 2: to be transparent about what happened with the surgery.
- 7:00Speaker 1: She had radio silence for two days.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So people have been checking in and she finally updated
- 7:05Speaker 2: everyone saying, oh, I'm okay, but I'll keep you posted.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I just want some privacy right now.
- 7:10Speaker 2: It's like, hang on, you just had this free surgery
- 7:13Speaker 2: that you said you were going to be really open
- 7:14Speaker 2: and honest about. You're on this all expenses paid trip
- 7:18Speaker 2: from the brand. And now suddenly you're silent for two days.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I mean, my first thought was, has something gone wrong
- 7:23Speaker 2: with the surgery? That's what she wants everyone to think
- 7:26Speaker 2: because she wants everyone to go in and keep checking
- 7:28Speaker 2: in on her page, keep engaging with her content. Not
- 7:31Speaker 2: only is it good PR for Beck, it's also fantastic
- 7:34Speaker 2: PR and engagement for Josh Fox's podcast because he now
- 7:38Speaker 2: has an opportunity to eventually interview her again. It added
- 7:42Speaker 2: an element of drama to his podcast at the end
- 7:45Speaker 2: of the series that he needed. And then it also
- 7:47Speaker 2: got the media writing about the fact that she'd pulled out.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I wonder how the brand feels about it because if
- 7:53Speaker 2: I was someone contemplating having this surgery done and I
- 7:56Speaker 2: was you know, looking on at Beck's page, I wouldn't
- 7:58Speaker 2: feel ultra confident with going with this company because not
- 8:02Speaker 2: only did she back out after going to the hospital,
- 8:05Speaker 2: but then she's also gone silent after having the surgery.
- 8:08Speaker 2: But is this a case of all publicity is good publicity?
- 8:12Speaker 2: I don't think that Beck really cares what the brand thinks.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I think it's all about Beck and whatever is best
- 8:17Speaker 2: for her personal brand. She's got the free surgery now.
- 8:20Speaker 2: She's got the trip. She doesn't need to continue impressing them.
- 8:23Speaker 2: It's not like she can go and get the surgery
- 8:24Speaker 2: done again. I mean, the brand's probably not stoked about it.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm sure they're savvy enough to see through what she's doing.
- 8:31Speaker 1: In saying that though, she's done her job.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Like people are talking about the brand and people definitely
- 8:37Speaker 2: know about this procedure. I mean, I had no clue
- 8:40Speaker 2: about it until all of this drama went down on
- 8:42Speaker 2: social media.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Let's get into what's been blowing up our group chat
- 8:47Speaker 1: this week.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And one of the posts that's been doing the rounds
- 8:50Speaker 2: is one from Brooklyn Beckham. So If you thought the
- 8:54Speaker 2: DoorDash ad he recently did was cringe, this new post
- 8:58Speaker 2: takes the cake. So he shared a post to Instagram entitled, Congratulations,
- 9:04Speaker 2: Kenya and Will. We love you guys so much. You
- 9:07Speaker 2: guys are the best and I couldn't be more happy
- 9:09Speaker 2: for you both. Now, Will is Brooklyn's brother-in-law who is
- 9:13Speaker 2: married to Kenya Kinski-Jones, the daughter of legendary music producer
- 9:18Speaker 2: Quincy Jones.
- 9:18Speaker 1: So, you know, they're quite a big deal.
- 9:20Speaker 2: However, They did not feature in one single photo of
- 9:25Speaker 2: this photo dump, despite it being their wedding. When I
- 9:28Speaker 2: looked at these photos, if I hadn't read the caption,
- 9:31Speaker 2: I would have thought that Brooklyn and Nicola had got
- 9:33Speaker 2: remarried because there was even shots of them walking down
- 9:36Speaker 2: the aisle with Brooklyn in a tuxedo. It was the
- 9:40Speaker 2: most self-indulgent post I've ever seen. And I know there's
- 9:43Speaker 2: an etiquette around posting wedding content. And the unspoken rule
- 9:47Speaker 2: is you have to wait until until the bride and
- 9:50Speaker 2: groom post their own photo before you post anything of them.
- 9:52Speaker 2: So sometimes people get overexcited and they want to post
- 9:55Speaker 2: their own couple photo before the big announcement.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I get that.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Was that the case? Like, is that why they did it? No,
- 10:02Speaker 2: it wasn't the reason because a couple had already shared
- 10:05Speaker 2: photos of themselves at their wedding. The awkward thing is
- 10:08Speaker 2: Brooklyn's wife, Nicola, also shared a photo of the couple
- 10:12Speaker 2: in to her photo dump, which she shared on the
- 10:14Speaker 2: same day. Now, the comment section was absolutely savage on
- 10:17Speaker 2: Brooklyn's post. Someone wrote, are Kenya and Will in the
- 10:20Speaker 2: room with us? And this received 12,000 likes. Someone else wrote,
- 10:24Speaker 2: who are you congratulating? All these pictures are of you.
- 10:27Speaker 2: While another person said.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Congratulations, Kenya and Will. Here's 4,000 photos of me.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It is funny when you get married and you see
- 10:35Speaker 2: the photos people share from your wedding. Like, do you
- 10:38Speaker 2: think that Will and Kenya were like, oh, look at
- 10:40Speaker 2: these arrogant twats.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Like we shouldn't have invited them to the wedding. Possibly.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I just don't know what Brooklyn is doing with his socials.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Like surely he's got enough money to have an advisor
- 10:51Speaker 2: who would have said, don't do the fucking DoorDash thing.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Don't post self-indulgent things about yourself and Nicola.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But he just continues to do it.
- 10:59Speaker 2: The weird thing is it looks like they were professional
- 11:01Speaker 2: photos and it looked like they were part of the
- 11:03Speaker 2: wedding party. So did the couple send them the photos
- 11:06Speaker 2: and say like, oh, we're happy for you to share them?
- 11:07Speaker 2: It's like, even so, just please like just be polite
- 11:10Speaker 2: and at least include one of them. Exactly. I mean,
- 11:11Speaker 2: it just always seems like they're trying to prove how
- 11:14Speaker 2: in love they were. That's how the post came across. Now,
- 11:17Speaker 2: the other photos that have been doing the rounds of
- 11:19Speaker 2: our group chat are photos of Harry Styles and his
- 11:22Speaker 2: fiance Zoe Kravitz, as well as Jo Olwen and actress
- 11:26Speaker 2: Sarah Pidgeon randomly picnicking in the same field in the UK. Now,
- 11:32Speaker 2: this isn't a cute double date or anything. These are
- 11:34Speaker 2: on two separate occasions, but people have noticed.
- 11:38Speaker 1: That they're in the same field.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so the photos were reportedly taken in the grassy
- 11:42Speaker 2: meadows of Hampstead Heath, and this is a really wealthy area.
- 11:46Speaker 1: In the UK.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Now, fans have accused Harry and Jo of calling the
- 11:50Speaker 2: paps on themselves, and the reason they think they have
- 11:52Speaker 2: done this is to take the shine away from Taylor
- 11:56Speaker 2: Swift's much-anticipated wedding to Travis Kelsey, which is allegedly happening
- 12:00Speaker 2: this week because they are both exes of Taylor Swift.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I didn't even put two and two together. I call
- 12:05Speaker 2: bullshit on this, though. This is not behavior that we're
- 12:08Speaker 2: used to seeing from Joe Olwen. He didn't even want
- 12:11Speaker 2: to be seen with Taylor Swift. He's very anti the paparazzi. Look,
- 12:15Speaker 2: I think it's a long bow to draw that they
- 12:17Speaker 2: did this to try and take attention away from Taylor
- 12:19Speaker 2: Swift's wedding. But it does look like these shots have
- 12:23Speaker 2: been set up. I mean, what are the chances that
- 12:25Speaker 2: the paps are just hanging around the meadows of Hampstead Heath?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Like these photos were taken long lens, like in the grass.
- 12:34Speaker 2: It looks like in exactly the same spot. And a
- 12:36Speaker 2: lot of Brits have been saying no one in their
- 12:39Speaker 2: right mind would picnic in these fields, especially because there's
- 12:43Speaker 2: the heat wave going on in the UK. They said
- 12:46Speaker 2: these fields are filled with ticks. Like why would you
- 12:49Speaker 2: even go there? Well, for privacy because they don't want
- 12:53Speaker 2: to be picnicking where everyone else is. Wouldn't it be
- 12:55Speaker 2: more of a case of Zoe Kravitz and Sarah Pigeon
- 12:57Speaker 2: calling the paps? Like I don't think Harry and Jo would.
- 13:01Speaker 2: And as you said, they're not doing it because of
- 13:03Speaker 2: Taylor's wedding. Well, the only thing that makes me think
- 13:05Speaker 2: that these photos haven't been set up is the fact
- 13:08Speaker 2: that Jo's new girlfriend, Sarah, is puffing away on a vape. Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 2: And like especially I just had in my head, you
- 13:15Speaker 2: know I love a London boy and he seems so suave.
- 13:18Speaker 2: But then Joe Olwen sitting in shorts with his white
- 13:21Speaker 2: legs out with her puffing on a vape, it just
- 13:24Speaker 2: didn't look very like demure. It just, I don't know,
- 13:28Speaker 2: it gave us different vibes. I mean I'm not a
- 13:30Speaker 2: massive fan of Joe Olwen. Why? Because he was never
- 13:35Speaker 2: loud and proud about Taylor. I feel like he held
- 13:37Speaker 2: her back. You know, I absolutely love the fact that
- 13:40Speaker 2: she's marrying Travis Kelsey and he celebrates their love. like
- 13:44Speaker 2: the way that she deserves. And I cannot wait until
- 13:47Speaker 2: we find a little bit more out about this wedding. Now, Kate,
- 13:49Speaker 2: another video, which has been doing the rounds in our
- 13:52Speaker 2: group chat, the TikTok where a user named Sarah UCG
- 13:56Speaker 2: mum and humor has shared her views on why millennials
- 14:00Speaker 2: are so nosy. Let's take a listen to what she said.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Maybe it's millennials were really nosy because we weren't watching
- 14:06Speaker 3: cartoons after school. We were watching the Dr. Phil Oprah,
- 14:09Speaker 3: Maury Povich. We're watching some girl beat up her baby
- 14:11Speaker 3: daddy on live television because He denied the baby and
- 14:15Speaker 3: she knew it was his. And the paternity test came
- 14:17Speaker 3: back and he was the father. Just sitting there with
- 14:19Speaker 3: her pre-son being like, this is good. I knew he
- 14:22Speaker 3: was the dad. There's no way that baby's anyone else. Yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 3: I do want to know why your cousin lost custody
- 14:27Speaker 3: of her kids in.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Great detail, actually.
- 14:29Speaker 3: We might be a little nosy, but it's really not
- 14:31Speaker 3: our fault.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:32Speaker 2: That is such a light bulb moment for me. It
- 14:34Speaker 2: actually makes me feel a lot.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Better because I have to admit, I am incredibly nosy.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Wasn't Dr. Phil just such a banger of a show though?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Like I remember if you were sick from school and
- 14:44Speaker 2: you were able to watch that live, it was absolute bliss. Oh,
- 14:48Speaker 2: you'd go, it was like Dr. Phil, Oprah, there's ready,
- 14:52Speaker 2: steady cook. Like you'd watch, I think you got to
- 14:55Speaker 2: about two o'clock or three when Huey's cooking show was on.
- 14:59Speaker 2: And by that time, you'd almost watch too much TV
- 15:02Speaker 2: that you felt even sicker. Like you're like, oh, actually
- 15:04Speaker 2: I kind of wish I went to school. Do you
- 15:05Speaker 2: remember at school, this is like showing our age, but
- 15:08Speaker 2: they used to wheel out the TV. Like it always
- 15:11Speaker 2: used to be mounted to something and they'd be putting
- 15:13Speaker 2: on some really boring like science video, but for a
- 15:16Speaker 2: second they'd have to turn it onto the live TV
- 15:19Speaker 2: and It.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Would always be Jerry Springer.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and it would be Jerry and everyone's like, Stu, Stu, Stu,
- 15:23Speaker 2: and all the kids like, no, please, can we watch this?
- 15:25Speaker 2: We don't want to watch Mathica's Math Shop or whatever
- 15:28Speaker 2: they were putting on. Our dad was such a legend.
- 15:30Speaker 2: When we were in high school, he actually used to
- 15:31Speaker 2: tape Jerry Springer for us.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And we'd all watch it with him. And Beauty and
- 15:34Speaker 1: the Beast, remember that?
- 15:35Speaker 2: That was like a panel of women and it was
- 15:38Speaker 2: like some controversial, yeah, like man that would read out
- 15:41Speaker 2: these questions. Also, I have flashbacks too. We used to
- 15:44Speaker 2: watch Judge Judy and also a spin-off which was called
- 15:47Speaker 2: Judge Joe Brown and And at the end of the
- 15:49Speaker 2: court case, they would always interview the plaintiff outside and
- 15:53Speaker 2: they would talk about the result.
- 15:54Speaker 1: And there was this one time where.
- 15:56Speaker 2: They were doing a vox pop with the person and
- 15:59Speaker 2: all these people were pretending to walk in and out
- 16:01Speaker 2: of this court. And someone fell while holding onto the door,
- 16:05Speaker 2: like trying to get through. We rewound and played this
- 16:09Speaker 2: so many times. Like why would they not have got
- 16:13Speaker 2: rid of that? That would have gone viral if TikTok
- 16:15Speaker 2: was a thing. I love the effort because you had
- 16:17Speaker 2: to like, you know, went back in the day when
- 16:18Speaker 2: it was a tape. You really had to like get
- 16:20Speaker 2: it to the right spot and press play. In terms
- 16:23Speaker 2: of just millennials being nosy, surely it trickles down to
- 16:25Speaker 2: Gen Zers as well because they have all of those
- 16:27Speaker 2: shows plus social media. I don't know because I feel
- 16:31Speaker 2: like Gen Zers are almost, too cool to be that nosy.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Like they go with the flow. I don't know if
- 16:37Speaker 1: I should talk about this.
- 16:39Speaker 2: The influencer world is healing. Michael Finch and Sky Wheatley
- 16:43Speaker 2: are following each other again on Instagram. Michael has even
- 16:47Speaker 2: liked Sky's most recent post. This is, of course, off
- 16:51Speaker 2: the back of Michael and Sharni Grimmond publicly hanging out
- 16:55Speaker 2: together again. Everyone got really excited a couple of weeks
- 16:57Speaker 2: ago when they posted a TikTok where they were casually
- 17:00Speaker 2: heading out to drinks and everyone's like, oh my God,
- 17:03Speaker 2: does this mean they're going to be vlogging again? Does
- 17:05Speaker 2: this mean the whole band is going to get back together?
- 17:08Speaker 2: It's very interesting timing because we all know that Lily
- 17:11Speaker 2: Brown's wedding, actual real wedding, is coming up in a
- 17:14Speaker 2: few weeks. Look, I don't think Skye Wheatley is getting
- 17:16Speaker 2: a Guernsey. I don't think her and Lily were ever
- 17:18Speaker 2: that close. Skye was only a part of that friendship
- 17:21Speaker 2: group because of her close connection to Michael. And I
- 17:24Speaker 2: was personally really thrilled for Skye because she has spoken
- 17:27Speaker 2: recently on her podcast about how upsetting this friendship breakdown
- 17:30Speaker 2: has been for her. So just for a bit of background,
- 17:33Speaker 2: they had a falling out back in September 2022. And
- 17:36Speaker 2: that was after Michael shared a clip of Sky talking
- 17:39Speaker 2: negatively about OnlyFans creators in her vlog. How was this
- 17:43Speaker 2: four years ago? Because I remember covering this story in depth.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I think we were actually the ones who first reported
- 17:49Speaker 2: on the vision.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It actually just blows my mind.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Now, at the time, Sky said that she would rather
- 17:53Speaker 2: earn money doing sponsored content than, I quote, being fucked.
- 17:56Speaker 1: By a dildo.
- 17:57Speaker 2: And she went on to say that she thinks OnlyFans
- 18:00Speaker 2: ruins marriages. Now, Michael didn't share his opinion on the topic,
- 18:04Speaker 2: but simply said something along the lines of freedom of speech. Now,
- 18:07Speaker 2: Michael uploaded this vlog to his channel and the backlash
- 18:12Speaker 2: afterwards was swift. Sky hit out saying that she expected
- 18:15Speaker 2: Michael to have edited that conversation out considering, you know,
- 18:18Speaker 2: that they're friends and it was a private conversation. It
- 18:21Speaker 2: actually reminded me of the recent situation with Sam Guggenheimer
- 18:24Speaker 2: and Bill Barker, that drama around that fat phobic comment
- 18:27Speaker 2: that Sam left in her vlog.
- 18:28Speaker 1: That hung out Bill to dry.
- 18:30Speaker 2: The difference with that situation is in that recording that
- 18:33Speaker 2: Sam chose to share, Bill said, please don't share that.
- 18:37Speaker 2: And she said, no, I'm going to share this on
- 18:38Speaker 2: my TikTok. Like when it came to Sky, Sky was
- 18:42Speaker 2: just going for it. She didn't even mention anything about
- 18:44Speaker 2: don't put this in there. Do you think people would
- 18:46Speaker 2: be as offended now in 2026? Like I still feel
- 18:50Speaker 2: like we were in the peak of cancel culture when
- 18:52Speaker 2: that video came out. I genuinely think So much has
- 18:55Speaker 2: changed in the last four years, even though it seems
- 18:57Speaker 2: like yesterday that this comment was made. And yeah, I
- 18:59Speaker 2: don't think there would have been as much uproar about it,
- 19:02Speaker 2: particularly because there has been a bit of a shift
- 19:05Speaker 2: in how celebrated OnlyFans creators are. I think back in 2020,
- 19:10Speaker 2: everyone really got around them, but there has been a
- 19:12Speaker 2: bit of a shift since Bonnie Blue came onto the scene.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And how we view that morally. You're right, Kate.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think that Bonnie Blue has totally changed the game
- 19:20Speaker 2: because people have been really appalled by the lengths that
- 19:22Speaker 2: she'll go to just to get more subscribers and the
- 19:25Speaker 2: way that she has preyed on underage boys at schoolies.
- 19:29Speaker 2: And even more recently, this whole pregnancy thing Yeah. And
- 19:33Speaker 2: I think the cancellation of Anna Paul has also added
- 19:37Speaker 2: to it.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Back to Skye and Michael.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I'm assuming it's Michael who's made the first steps to
- 19:43Speaker 2: rekindle this friendship because Skye spoke in her podcast about
- 19:46Speaker 2: how Michael actually blocked her and she would love to
- 19:49Speaker 2: reach out and be friends again, but he's really stubborn
- 19:52Speaker 2: when it comes.
- 19:53Speaker 1: To friendship breakdowns.
- 19:54Speaker 2: So I'm assuming the only way that they've had this
- 19:57Speaker 2: refollow is for him to unblock her. Michael seems really
- 20:00Speaker 2: savage when it comes to friendships. Like he is definitely
- 20:03Speaker 2: known as the blocker. Like he's previously blocked Lily Brown.
- 20:06Speaker 2: It seems like he had issues with Shani. So I'm
- 20:08Speaker 2: wondering if he blocked her. I kind of love that though,
- 20:11Speaker 2: because nothing feels better than blocking someone. I've done that
- 20:14Speaker 2: to you guys a couple of times. It's just really
- 20:16Speaker 2: freeing feeling. And I just love how the person feels
- 20:20Speaker 2: when they try and look you up and they can't
- 20:22Speaker 2: see anything because I've had it done to me and
- 20:25Speaker 2: it's a horrible feeling. I recently heard Matt Sikowsky talking
- 20:28Speaker 2: on TikTok about what a big deal it is for
- 20:30Speaker 2: men to actually block someone. So he caught up with
- 20:33Speaker 2: a friend of his who'd been seeing a girl and
- 20:35Speaker 2: the guy's like, no, no, it's all off now. I've
- 20:37Speaker 2: actually blocked her. And Matt was like, what the fuck?
- 20:40Speaker 1: Like, what did she actually do to deserve a block?
- 20:43Speaker 2: No shade to Matt, but he and Tammy used to
- 20:45Speaker 2: block each other all the time.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Or were we thinking it was Tammy that was blocking him?
- 20:48Speaker 2: It was Tammy who was blocking him all the time, clearly.
- 20:51Speaker 2: My husband has been known to block people, like people
- 20:55Speaker 2: he's no longer in a relationship with. But I think
- 20:57Speaker 2: it's more about protecting himself because he just doesn't want
- 20:59Speaker 2: to see their stuff anymore. I think it's a bit
- 21:01Speaker 2: full on to block someone. I think unfriend them. But
- 21:04Speaker 2: when you block someone, it kind of seems like they've
- 21:06Speaker 2: done something really bad. Like say the person cheated on you,
- 21:09Speaker 2: block them. But if things ended amicably, then why block them? Yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 2: I agree. I'm also the same when it comes to
- 21:16Speaker 2: removing photos of people. Sometimes it looks like you care
- 21:19Speaker 2: more if you remove every single evidence of that person
- 21:22Speaker 2: from your Instagram account.
- 21:23Speaker 1: The most awkward thing, though, is.
- 21:25Speaker 2: If you actually block someone and then you become friends again.
- 21:28Speaker 2: And it's super awkward having to do the unblock because
- 21:32Speaker 2: there's a bit to it. Yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 1: And then having to re-friend them again.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I wonder if Skye and Michael ran into each other
- 21:39Speaker 2: in the wild and that's how, you know, they actually
- 21:41Speaker 2: got talking and that's why he's unblocked her. Or Is
- 21:44Speaker 2: he feeling sorry for her in regards to everything that's
- 21:47Speaker 2: going down with her at the moment and what appears
- 21:50Speaker 2: to be her breakup with Lockie War? Maybe they have
- 21:53Speaker 2: run into each other in the wild because sometimes when
- 21:55Speaker 2: you do see someone after years of no contact, you
- 21:58Speaker 2: suddenly realize how stupid the fight was to begin with
- 22:01Speaker 2: and that you missed that person and.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It all seems very petty.
- 22:04Speaker 2: I wonder if he's also been listening to her podcast
- 22:07Speaker 2: because she seemed really frustrated that she couldn't get on
- 22:10Speaker 2: to him. And maybe that was her bold statement to
- 22:12Speaker 2: get to him and to, you know, have that message
- 22:14Speaker 2: shared with him.
- 22:15Speaker 1: And he's gone, oh, okay.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I don't necessarily think he's probably listening to the full podcast.
- 22:19Speaker 2: He's probably just seen a podcast clip pop up or
- 22:21Speaker 2: one of their mutual friends has said, look, she's still
- 22:23Speaker 2: really affected by this friendship breakdown.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Why don't you just reach out to her? Maybe Sharni.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I mean, they're friends again.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Do you think we will see Sky Wheatley hanging out
- 22:32Speaker 2: with Michael and Sharni?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Maybe she'll join in on their movie night. I reckon.
- 22:36Speaker 2: single Sky Wheatley out on the town with Michael and
- 22:40Speaker 2: Sharni would be epic. And I really hope that if
- 22:42Speaker 2: that's the case, she shares a lot of Instagram stories
- 22:45Speaker 2: about it. Okay, I am deep in nesting mode. And
- 22:49Speaker 2: today we're talking all things baby skincare. Tully Smythe has
- 22:54Speaker 2: surprised her followers by announcing the arrival of her baby girl. Now,
- 22:59Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago, followers were convinced that the
- 23:02Speaker 2: former Big Brother contestant and her dentist boyfriend, Ned Williams,
- 23:05Speaker 2: were having a boy after they appeared to have a
- 23:08Speaker 2: blue color scheme at their baby shower. Yeah, they actually
- 23:12Speaker 2: found out the gender of their baby pretty early on,
- 23:14Speaker 2: but they kept it under wraps. And at their baby
- 23:17Speaker 2: shower back in May, both Tully and Ned were wearing blue.
- 23:21Speaker 2: The invites and events stationery also featured blue and blue
- 23:25Speaker 2: was a big part of the floral design. So people
- 23:27Speaker 2: were like, hang on, They've fucked up here.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 2: At the time Tully was forced to address the gender
- 23:33Speaker 2: speculation on Instagram, she wrote, all right, Inspector Gadget, calm down.
- 23:37Speaker 2: It's 2026. Blue doesn't automatically mean boy. In all honesty,
- 23:42Speaker 2: I wanted to match the invites and floral inspo I
- 23:44Speaker 2: sent to Floss and Fleur and Ned bought his shirt
- 23:47Speaker 2: from Venroy at 10 a.m.
- 23:48Speaker 1: The morning of.
- 23:50Speaker 2: No more, no less, but you believe whatever you like
- 23:53Speaker 2: with the winking emoji. I reckon they were trying to
- 23:55Speaker 2: get everyone off the scent that it was a girl.
- 23:57Speaker 2: So it's really Ned that's fucked things over though, by
- 23:59Speaker 2: the sound of it, because he left this purchase to
- 24:01Speaker 2: the last minute.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Not surprising.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Yeah, probably didn't even know what the decorations were looking like.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Let's get into the announcement because it was very sweet.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So Tully, of course, broke the news on Instagram writing,
- 24:13Speaker 2: Elkie Iris brought, you are the sweetest cherry on top
- 24:16Speaker 2: of the most delicious sundae And your mum and dad
- 24:18Speaker 2: are pretty chuffed that you chose us. When I saw
- 24:21Speaker 2: her announcement, I was like, why didn't I write something
- 24:24Speaker 2: cool like that? I just did the typical, you know,
- 24:26Speaker 2: the name, the date, how much they weighed.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And now I realise.
- 24:30Speaker 2: That I feel like that's really dorky to do, to
- 24:33Speaker 2: list the weight for some reason. I'm like, why did
- 24:35Speaker 2: I do that? Am I like in the fucking 80s
- 24:37Speaker 2: and 90s, like writing a newspaper advertisement about it? I
- 24:42Speaker 2: feel like it's all the oldies that want to know
- 24:43Speaker 2: those details, like the weight and length of the baby.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'm assuming some people don't share the date of birth
- 24:49Speaker 2: because they're worried about like identity theft. I mean, it's
- 24:52Speaker 2: interesting because before the birth of her daughter, Tully spoke
- 24:55Speaker 2: a lot about the internal battle she was having about
- 24:58Speaker 2: whether she was going to show her child's face on
- 25:01Speaker 2: Instagram and she has decided not to. So it makes
- 25:05Speaker 2: sense not to share the birth date as well. Well,
- 25:07Speaker 2: she said it was a real shame that she isn't
- 25:09Speaker 2: sharing her daughter's face because she said she's so cute
- 25:11Speaker 2: that she feels like she's robbing her followers of a
- 25:14Speaker 2: daily dose of perfection. And she revealed that her daughter
- 25:17Speaker 2: has Ned's lips and ears and Tully's big eyes and
- 25:21Speaker 2: they're both trying to claim her button though.
- 25:23Speaker 1: So she sounds absolutely adorable.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I totally get where Tully's coming from because I've decided
- 25:29Speaker 2: not to share my son online.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I shared him originally up to about.
- 25:32Speaker 2: His first birthday and then I was like, I don't know,
- 25:34Speaker 2: I just started feeling uncomfortable about it.
- 25:37Speaker 1: And it's funny because obviously he.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Is the most adorable, gorgeous human being I've ever seen
- 25:42Speaker 2: in my eyes.
- 25:43Speaker 1: And I'm like, I feel comfortable.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Like I'm robbing people of not sharing his beautiful photos.
- 25:47Speaker 1: But I'm like, at the end of the day, no
- 25:49Speaker 1: one else really cares about your kids' photos, do they?
- 25:51Speaker 1: It's more like you need to do what you're comfortable with.
- 25:54Speaker 2: And I'm just personally annoyed because I've got so many
- 25:56Speaker 2: funny videos of Jack that I think would just go
- 25:58Speaker 2: off on TikTok. Some of the things that he says
- 26:01Speaker 2: are actually hilarious. I know, because I personally love sharing
- 26:04Speaker 2: my son online. Like we have a bit of a
- 26:06Speaker 2: different viewpoint, which people might find interesting. Again, maybe as
- 26:09Speaker 2: he gets older, I might change my opinion. I think
- 26:12Speaker 2: that people are allowed to change over time. Anyway, getting
- 26:16Speaker 2: back to Tully, she has confirmed the pronunciation of her
- 26:19Speaker 2: daughter's name saying it's Elkie. And apparently this name has
- 26:22Speaker 2: been on her baby list for 10 years. And she
- 26:25Speaker 2: said that the couple loved it from the start because
- 26:27Speaker 2: apparently Ned has been trying to claim that this name
- 26:31Speaker 2: was also on his list and he thinks it was
- 26:33Speaker 2: on his list first. So it's pretty cute that it's
- 26:35Speaker 2: such a unique name, yet they both had it on
- 26:37Speaker 2: their lists.
- 26:38Speaker 1: That is very cute. I mean, if your name is Tully.
- 26:41Speaker 2: You can't have a baby that's called like Susie or something.
- 26:44Speaker 2: It needs to have, you just need to have a
- 26:46Speaker 2: unique name. I think you mean Sarah. Sarah is like
- 26:49Speaker 2: the biggest 90s name.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Sarah and Jessica. Well, Tully said she always wanted an
- 26:53Speaker 1: original name.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And because Ned's last name is Norwegian, they like the
- 26:58Speaker 2: fact that Elkie sounded really European. And she also said
- 27:02Speaker 2: that she wanted to give her daughter a four-letter cool
- 27:05Speaker 2: girl name that can have a lot of nicknames. So
- 27:08Speaker 2: she thinks that her daughter can be called Elle or
- 27:10Speaker 2: Ellie or Elle.
- 27:11Speaker 1: If she wants.
- 27:12Speaker 2: As someone who has a four-letter name, I didn't know
- 27:14Speaker 2: that four-letter girl names were cool. Maybe yours isn't cool, though,
- 27:17Speaker 2: because I don't know how many nicknames you can have
- 27:19Speaker 2: from Kate.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Katie.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Now, as for Elkie's middle name, it is in honor
- 27:24Speaker 2: of Tully's mom, Kay, who sadly passed away of dementia
- 27:27Speaker 2: a few years ago. And Tully explained that her niece
- 27:30Speaker 2: already has K as a middle name. So she chose
- 27:33Speaker 2: the name Iris as they were her mum's favourite flowers,
- 27:36Speaker 2: which I think is so sweet.
- 27:37Speaker 1: That's a beautiful touch.
- 27:38Speaker 2: And I like that it's a bit creative as well
- 27:40Speaker 2: because Elkie Iris goes really nicely together. Tully said Iris
- 27:45Speaker 2: was also good at softening Ned's last name of Rort.
- 27:48Speaker 1: And I think it does a good job.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Now, the Blue Teak Brigade were, of course, out in
- 27:53Speaker 2: force to congratulate Tully. Olivia Rogers wrote, sweet angel girl.
- 27:57Speaker 2: We love her so much already. While Lee Elliott wrote,
- 28:00Speaker 2: oh guys, this is the most incredible news. Massive congratulations
- 28:04Speaker 2: and welcome to the world, Elkie. Lily Brown also wrote
- 28:07Speaker 2: a message. I had no idea they were friends. She wrote, yay, congratulations, love.
- 28:11Speaker 2: And Tully replied that she has been living in her
- 28:14Speaker 2: chill robes for all of.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Her nighttime feeds.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I've been hanging to hear Tully's birth story, but it
- 28:20Speaker 2: turns out we're actually not going to get it.
- 28:22Speaker 1: So It's pretty interesting.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Tully said that when she was pregnant, she never wanted
- 28:27Speaker 2: to hear anyone else's birth story. She said she didn't
- 28:29Speaker 2: really understand why there was such a fascination in them.
- 28:33Speaker 2: If anything, she said she didn't want to actually put
- 28:35Speaker 2: any expectations on herself or become attached to one idea.
- 28:39Speaker 2: She did reveal, though, that she had a C-section and
- 28:42Speaker 2: said her doctor was incredible. Now, her doctor was the
- 28:45Speaker 2: same doctor Steph Clare-Smith and Laura Henshaw both had. It
- 28:48Speaker 2: turns out that Tully actually bumped into Laura and Dalton
- 28:51Speaker 2: when they were on their way to an appointment. And
- 28:53Speaker 2: she was like, oh, who are you seeing? So she
- 28:55Speaker 2: ended up booking in with the same doctor. I feel
- 28:58Speaker 2: like there are these doctors to the stars or at
- 29:00Speaker 2: least that Melbourne clique aren't there. Oh, yeah. It's like
- 29:02Speaker 2: when Laura Henshaw in her birth vlog was like, oh, yes,
- 29:05Speaker 2: and Dr. Golley cut the umbilical cord. I'm like, what
- 29:07Speaker 2: the fuck? I'm just surprised because as soon as I
- 29:10Speaker 2: had Harry, I became really invested in other people's birth stories.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Like it's one of those things that when you've gone
- 29:16Speaker 2: through it, you're like, tell me more. Like then what happened?
- 29:19Speaker 2: I wonder if because she had a cesarean, she saw
- 29:23Speaker 2: the backlash that Laura Henshaw got when she spoke about
- 29:25Speaker 2: hers and thought, oh, I just.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Want to steer clear of it. Like maybe it's a
- 29:28Speaker 1: way of protecting her peace.
- 29:29Speaker 2: And if that is the case, it makes me really
- 29:31Speaker 2: sad because I absolutely hated the way Laura Henshaw was
- 29:34Speaker 2: treated when she spoke about having her cesarean. Look, I
- 29:37Speaker 2: want to point out, she said she had a C-section,
- 29:39Speaker 2: but she didn't say. whether it was an elective C-section.
- 29:42Speaker 2: I think that is an interesting point to make. As
- 29:45Speaker 2: for how Tully and Ned are going, Tully said that
- 29:48Speaker 2: it's been the best job in the world, writing, she's
- 29:50Speaker 2: my favorite collab, my favorite show, my favorite housemate, and
- 29:54Speaker 2: that she absolutely loves being a mom.
- 29:57Speaker 3: That's it.
- 29:58Speaker 1: My water's just broke.
- 29:59Speaker 3: And we're all here.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Amy, this is your Roman Empire.
- 30:08Speaker 2: For months now, you have been hyper fixated on Gold
- 30:12Speaker 2: Coast influencer Tori Story's pregnancy. And this week, she gave
- 30:17Speaker 2: birth to her baby boy, Tate Jackson Edwards. A day
- 30:21Speaker 2: after the birth, the influencer made the announcement on Instagram,
- 30:24Speaker 2: writing Tate Jackson Edwards, born 2.50am, 27.06, 26, 4.5 kilograms.
- 30:31Speaker 1: We are beyond blessed and in love with our little man.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Now, she also made it sound like an old school
- 30:36Speaker 2: announcement that you'd have in a newspaper.
- 30:37Speaker 1: That made me feel a bit better. I love an
- 30:39Speaker 1: old school announcement.
- 30:40Speaker 2: As you said, Sophie, I have been hanging out for
- 30:43Speaker 2: Tori to give birth. I was very much on birth watch.
- 30:47Speaker 2: She'd been doing a series where she'd been counting down
- 30:50Speaker 2: the last couple of days of her pregnancy. And then
- 30:53Speaker 2: all of a sudden, she went missing for 24 hours.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I was like, oh my God, she must be having
- 30:57Speaker 2: the baby. Well, you messaged me. You were like, oh
- 31:00Speaker 2: my God, she hasn't uploaded her daily quotes. Where's her
- 31:04Speaker 2: beach walk? Something must have happened. And it was very
- 31:07Speaker 2: unusual for her to be quiet for 24 hours because
- 31:09Speaker 2: as you said, Amy, in the lead up to giving birth,
- 31:12Speaker 2: she launched a labor watch series on Instagram.
- 31:16Speaker 1: And over the weekend, she.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Also uploaded a YouTube video entitled My Waters Broke. Now
- 31:22Speaker 2: in the video, She was documenting her final days of
- 31:26Speaker 2: pregnancy and she captured the moment that she went into labour.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Let's throw to the clip.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Yes.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Is it warm? Why is it warm?
- 31:37Speaker 3: Well, because I can get from inside you.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Did I get.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Fit? Stand up. She's just.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Like, guys.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I was watching this with my husband and he was like, look,
- 32:03Speaker 2: do we have to see everything? Like, can anything be private?
- 32:06Speaker 2: Because she was literally standing there in beige tracksuit pants.
- 32:09Speaker 1: With the water all down her legs.
- 32:11Speaker 2: It was pretty cute because she was actually having a
- 32:13Speaker 2: girl's night when her water broke and all of her
- 32:16Speaker 2: friends were jumping around and she was like, maybe I
- 32:19Speaker 2: should have a shower. Like, I think I should actually
- 32:21Speaker 2: start getting ready for this because we don't know how
- 32:22Speaker 2: quickly this baby's going to come. So this is not
- 32:24Speaker 2: just directed at your husband, but men in general, there
- 32:27Speaker 2: was nothing gross about it. Her pants literally looked like
- 32:30Speaker 2: water had poured down the front. It wasn't like there
- 32:32Speaker 2: was blood streaming out. Like seriously, if that's offensive, he
- 32:36Speaker 2: wasn't saying it was gross. He was more just saying,
- 32:39Speaker 2: Why are we picking up a camera during this point
- 32:41Speaker 2: in time? Should we maybe be starting to get ready
- 32:43Speaker 2: to go to the hospital?
- 32:44Speaker 1: Sorry, Brandon.
- 32:45Speaker 2: But that is because people like me who have been
- 32:48Speaker 2: watching this whole journey, we want to be updated on
- 32:50Speaker 2: every second.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Tori's story is so real and raw.
- 32:54Speaker 2: And I had actually been worried about her for quite
- 32:56Speaker 2: a long time because she has created a pregnancy series
- 32:59Speaker 2: on her podcast called Raw Reality. And she spoke in
- 33:03Speaker 2: depth about wanting to have a home birth with no
- 33:06Speaker 2: medical intervention if possible.
- 33:08Speaker 1: So I was like, oh my God, is she okay?
- 33:10Speaker 2: Because she had a hypnobirthing coach on the podcast and
- 33:14Speaker 2: it was a really interesting chat to listen to because
- 33:17Speaker 2: I am on the total opposite side of the viewpoint.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Like I'm, I wanted a C-section, you know, I believe
- 33:25Speaker 2: in medical intervention and I wanted every drug possible. I
- 33:28Speaker 2: listened to it too, Amy. And I was like, wow,
- 33:31Speaker 2: this is really interesting. It just showed me how different
- 33:34Speaker 2: people are and everyone's birth choice should be respected. Like
- 33:38Speaker 2: for me, as you said, I wanted an elective C-section.
- 33:41Speaker 2: For me, hypnobirthing is not my thing. Couldn't think of
- 33:44Speaker 2: anything worse. But I think that obviously we need to
- 33:47Speaker 2: respect other.
- 33:48Speaker 1: People's birth decisions.
- 33:50Speaker 2: While I'm, of course, supportive of whatever decision women want
- 33:52Speaker 2: to make with their own bodies. I think it was
- 33:55Speaker 2: hard to listen to that podcast after everything I've heard
- 33:59Speaker 2: about influencer Stacey Warnock's death. So she was an influencer
- 34:03Speaker 2: who very sadly passed away while giving birth a couple
- 34:06Speaker 2: of months ago. So she was free birthing and she
- 34:09Speaker 2: had someone there called a birth keeper. Now things went
- 34:12Speaker 2: horribly wrong and she didn't want to go to the hospital.
- 34:15Speaker 2: She Obviously, Tori Story's birth plan wasn't exactly like her. No, yeah,
- 34:25Speaker 2: she actually had a midwife who used to work as
- 34:29Speaker 2: a nurse in a hospital for like 20 years.
- 34:30Speaker 1: It was a very different experience.
- 34:32Speaker 2: And she said that she was quite reluctant to share
- 34:35Speaker 2: about how she actually wanted to.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Go ahead with her birth because.
- 34:39Speaker 2: She was receiving really negative backlash. Now, what's interesting about
- 34:43Speaker 2: Tori's story for, pardon the pun, is that she has
- 34:47Speaker 2: since said that her birth didn't go as planned. She's
- 34:51Speaker 2: yet to speak about it. But I'm wondering if she
- 34:54Speaker 2: had to have an emergency cesarean because she spoke about
- 34:57Speaker 2: how traumatic this birth was.
- 34:58Speaker 1: For her, which is just awful.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so she wrote on her Instagram story, our labor
- 35:03Speaker 2: birth wasn't one we expected and was quite a traumatic
- 35:06Speaker 2: experience for everyone involved, which we will share when we
- 35:09Speaker 2: get the time. But for now, we're soaking up this bubble.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Mama is recovering and getting much needed rest and cuddles. Now,
- 35:16Speaker 2: in the comment section of this birth announcement, Tori's mum
- 35:19Speaker 2: also wrote, My heart is overflowing. Watching what you both
- 35:22Speaker 2: endured during the labor was heartbreaking, but seeing the strength,
- 35:26Speaker 2: courage and love you showed for each other was nothing
- 35:28Speaker 2: short of incredible.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Tori, I am proud of you.
- 35:31Speaker 2: You dug deeper than you ever thought possible and brought
- 35:34Speaker 2: this little miracle into the world with such determination and courage.
- 35:38Speaker 2: So it will be interesting when Tori does finally open
- 35:41Speaker 2: up about what actually went on with the birth.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I am very curious. I mean, this wasn't a small
- 35:46Speaker 1: baby either.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Like baby Tate was born at 4.5 kilograms, which absolutely
- 35:50Speaker 2: blows my mind. I think my baby was like three
- 35:52Speaker 2: months old when he weighed 4.5 kilos. Going back to
- 35:55Speaker 2: Tori capturing the moment that her water broke for a second,
- 35:59Speaker 2: I want to point out that it was quite funny
- 36:01Speaker 2: because she actually received her brand new car that day
- 36:05Speaker 2: and she was going for a bit of a joy
- 36:06Speaker 2: ride with her friends. And all I could think was, gee,
- 36:09Speaker 2: I'm sure that she's really glad that it didn't break
- 36:12Speaker 2: in the car because that car was in immaculate condition.
- 36:14Speaker 2: The seats were like white. I just loved her mum
- 36:17Speaker 2: coming out because her mum lives with her and her boyfriend.
- 36:20Speaker 1: She's like, oh my God.
- 36:22Speaker 2: And everyone just had their phones out because they knew
- 36:25Speaker 2: how much Tori would want this documented. I found it
- 36:28Speaker 2: really fascinating to see the way that she shared about
- 36:30Speaker 2: this pregnancy and her subsequent birth. It sort of reminded
- 36:34Speaker 2: me of the way that Adelaide influencer Smiley Citrus shared
- 36:37Speaker 2: in the lead up because I think she also dropped
- 36:39Speaker 2: this labor watch series.
- 36:41Speaker 1: And it's an.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Interesting tactic because quickly followers will pick up on when
- 36:45Speaker 2: an influencer has suddenly disappeared and there'll be more speculation.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Oh my God, is the baby here?
- 36:50Speaker 2: But it really obviously helps their engagement because people are
- 36:53Speaker 2: constantly checking in on their page.
- 36:55Speaker 1: It's very clever.
- 36:56Speaker 2: And they know that at that point of their pregnancy,
- 36:59Speaker 2: that is when they're going to get the most engagement,
- 37:01Speaker 2: the most interest.
- 37:02Speaker 1: That's when they can.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Probably get higher brand deals around that time. So it's
- 37:06Speaker 2: obviously a tactic of theirs. And it's one that I'm
- 37:08Speaker 2: seeing a lot of micro influencers doing. A lot of
- 37:11Speaker 2: big influencers don't need to do that. Well, in the
- 37:14Speaker 2: last 14 days, according to Social Blade, Tori has gained
- 37:18Speaker 2: over 6,000 followers. So it's obviously working for her.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I mean, that's a lot of.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Followers when you've got 60,000. Well, I think that is
- 37:25Speaker 2: all we've got time for today. Thank you so much
