• 0:01
Massive developing stories in the precious metals market, Yes,
• 0:04
the silver price and gold price are doing quite well today,
• 0:08
which was not an active trading day in all the US markets.
• 0:11
But we want to talk about what we want to talk about, right, is
• 0:15
like massive historic moves to come and we got a lot of stories
• 0:19
to cover. The biggest story of course is
• 0:22
you. Thank you for joining us here in
• 0:23
the basement. We are the basement dwellers.
• 0:26
We believe in the future of silver and gold because we
• 0:31
  understand history and mathematics.
• 0:35
We're going to take a look at the silver price, talk about
• 0:37
what's going on, what caused the move today.
• 0:39
There's a lot of confusing information out there.
• 0:41
But we're also going to talk about $200 silver yet again,
• 0:47
right? They're finally starting to talk
• 0:49
about $200 silver, as we requested.
• 0:52
Before we get the $300 silver, we've got another chart.
• 0:56
I won't even tell you what the price is that this chart says
• 1:00
the silver price could be at and it could be there right now,
• 1:04
silver shortages. Paul Volcker, what did he say?
• 1:08
And we're going to cover what a big crypto, a massive like
• 1:12
million follower crypto account is saying about silver and gold.
• 1:16
And we're going to cover the Harami Cross.
• 1:19
Oh yeah, we're going to learn about the Harami Cross together.
• 1:23
But let's go take a look at that silver price and gold price.
• 1:27
We love gold too, don't get us wrong, and the gold mining
• 1:30
stocks. And we're going to head out to
• 1:32
Kitco and check out where we are right now, $77.63.
• 1:39
Hey, guys, look, last week there was a point where we were at
• 1:43
like $73.60. So we're doing quite well.
• 1:47
What's the reason behind this? Let's go out to Kitco, who
• 1:51
shared this this morning. Spot gold prices and spot silver
• 1:56
prices are sharply higher on Monday, trading as weaker U.S.
• 2:00
dollar noise, lower Treasury yield expectations, big time
• 2:04
noise and a sharp drop in crude oil prices supported precious
• 2:09
  metals. Noise, noise, noise.
• 2:11
At the time of writing, gold was at 4550 and silver was at 7780.
• 2:17
Where was silver when we just looked?
• 2:19
We're we're pretty darn close guys.
• 2:22
Look, 7760 we've had quite a move up in particular again,
• 2:28
when we look back just six days ago when the silver price
• 2:32
touched like the $7473.50 per oz level.
• 2:37
But wait, there's more because they're, they're saying that
• 2:41
we're going to have peace in the Middle East.
• 2:43
But then we get this headline from Zero Hedge just a few hours
• 2:47
ago saying there's reports of deadly US Israeli air strikes on
• 2:52
Iran's port of Bandar Abbas as Trump issues and rate enriched
• 2:57
uranium demand. And then I found this
• 2:59
interesting, fighter jets attacking 2 boats.
• 3:03
Iran lifted their Internet ban is Israel dramatically ramps up
• 3:07
its war and bombing of Lebanon, right?
• 3:10
We're not even really, that's not getting much attention.
• 3:14
But this is what's interesting. Al Arabiya claims that Tehran,
• 3:18
Tehran is ready to transfer highly enriched uranium to
• 3:24
  China. Oh, interesting.
• 3:26
Very interesting how China is getting involved in this.
• 3:29
Look, there's a lot of conflicting reports, a lot of
• 3:32
noise, and who knows what's going to happen with the Middle
• 3:36
East situation. I'm not a political analyst.
• 3:39
I follow the silver and gold price.
• 3:41
And to me, it's important, don't get me wrong.
• 3:43
And me personally, I'm not really in favor of war, but I
• 3:47
think that when it comes to silver and gold, all this stuff
• 3:50
that's happening right now, the oil price, interest rates,
• 3:53
really guys, it's all a bunch of noise.
• 3:56
The long term fundamental story for gold and silver remain
• 3:59
intact. Let's learn about the Harami
• 4:02
Cross. This is new and it's bullish for
• 4:05
the silver price. We had a chart come out this
• 4:10
morning from this gentleman, the A dollar trader, he said.
• 4:16
Silver is opening the week with a bullish kicker candle.
• 4:20
Hey, the silver price got a swift kick in the rear, OK,
• 4:25
gapping higher and pushing back toward the 50 day moving average
• 4:29
after several sessions of sideways consolidation near
• 4:33
support. Today's open was one of the more
• 4:35
more bullish scenarios that silver bowls could have hoped
• 4:38
for to start the week. And then he shares this more
• 4:41
information. But we're going to get right to
• 4:43
the meat. We're going to learn about the
• 4:45
right here, the Harami cross and the spinning top.
• 4:49
We're going to do a little education guys.
• 4:51
These are Candlestick, this is a key called a Candlestick chart.
• 4:56
Japanese, it's Japanese origins, very interesting, but the Harami
• 5:01
cross is a very bullish indicator and we had a spinning
• 5:05
top. Don't worry, we're going to
• 5:07
we're going to learn about that in the blue line before we get
• 5:11
into that right here. This blue line that you can see
• 5:13
kind of back in here is the 50 day moving average and we are
• 5:18
fighting to get back above that. That would be very bullish.
• 5:23
But we did have a Harami cross. Now let's go.
• 5:26
I have something prepared for you so that we could learn about
• 5:29
this together. The Harami cross, let's go to
• 5:34
the top, is a 2 candle reversal pattern where a large candle is
• 5:39
followed by a doji, a candle with virtually identical open
• 5:43
and close prices that is completely contained within the
• 5:47
body of the previous candle. It signals that the current
• 5:51
trend is losing momentum and may reverse.
• 5:55
So here we go right here. For those of you who are new, I
• 5:58
love these Candlestick charts. This is called a candle.
• 6:02
A candle. This represents either like if
• 6:04
it's a one day candle or a one week candle.
• 6:07
But when it's red, OK, the body of the candle represents up
• 6:12
  here. That's where it opened.
• 6:14
Like if this is for the day, that's where the price opened
• 6:17
and down here is where it closed.
• 6:19
The Wicks that go off the top, right like that right there,
• 6:23
I'll erase that. Should have used a different
• 6:25
  color. That represents the highest
• 6:28
point that the price got during the day in this is the lowest
• 6:31
point. Now when we've got this Harami
• 6:34
situation like they're talking about again, right?
• 6:38
It's one big candle. So on this day, the price opened
• 6:42
way up here, closed way down here.
• 6:44
But the next day this candle like as you can see the body of
• 6:49
this candle is very small. So the open and close price were
• 6:53
very close, but the entire price swing was within.
• 6:56
So that let's go back to that chart is what happened right
• 7:01
here. You can see there was a big red
• 7:03
candle and then right there where it says Harami cross a
• 7:06
little one and that was in a bit of a downtrend and that can
• 7:09
signal the reversal, right, which is what we had since that
• 7:14
occurred. Now the other thing they talk
• 7:16
about since we're learning about candlesticks is a spinning top.
• 7:21
Another bullish signal and one more bit of learning.
• 7:25
We're going to go to school for just one more second.
• 7:28
I like the the candlesticks. It's probably my favorite.
• 7:31
Hold on here. There we go.
• 7:33
My favorite of all and a spinning top is a single candle
• 7:38
with a small real body and a long upper and lower shadows are
• 7:44
I call them Wicks. It indicates indecision in the
• 7:47
market, showing that neither buyers nor sellers could gain
• 7:50
control and often signals a pause or reverse in a trend.
• 7:55
OK, so bearish. Uh oh, we better go back.
• 7:59
Was that a bullish? Yeah, it was.
• 8:01
I'm sorry. OK, see that little little one
• 8:03
right there that's spinning top. So when it's when it's bearish,
• 8:07
it's red, right? The open like they show there
• 8:09
and the close is right there, the high and the low.
• 8:12
But what we had is the one on the right, the green 1.
• 8:15
So look guys, we got a Harami cross, a spinning top, the fit
• 8:21
we're we're pushing up against the the 50 day moving average.
• 8:25
And the other thing that everybody's talking about, but I
• 8:28
don't quite see it. Maybe you see it is an inverse
• 8:31
head and shoulders pattern. I guess we can't see it on this
• 8:35
on this chart, but apparently there's an inverse head and
• 8:38
shoulders pattern. Let me see if I can pull that
• 8:41
up. Yeah, he's actually got it over
• 8:43
here, right. The inverse head and shoulders
• 8:45
pattern is when you have a price, as you can see, right,
• 8:49
There's a shoulder, shoulder. It's like a person standing on
• 8:52
  their head. There's a head, there's another
• 8:54
shoulder, and then it breaks up. So we'll keep a close eye on
• 8:57
that. And now we know what a Harami
• 9:01
cross is. We have, we have the Harami
• 9:04
cross. OK, silver, Next up from Shane
• 9:09
Magura. We got a lot of Asian influence
• 9:12
today on our show. Silver is now up over 4% off of
• 9:15
support. However, the test will be
• 9:18
whether or not we can close this week above $81.00 once we get
• 9:24
confirmation. And I agree with him on that.
• 9:26
Above that reason, I am not. Thank you.
• 9:30
  Susie. What's going on?
• 9:33
Why is this not working? Hold on.
• 9:36
  Yep. No, I am right.
• 9:38
Yeah. Shane Magura, I think I yes, I
• 9:41
am. They're seeing the right screen.
• 9:42
However, the test will be whether we can get above this
• 9:45
$81.00 resistance zone. And as you can see right here,
• 9:49
we are right there between those two lines.
• 9:52
We've been bouncing around through there and where we need
• 9:55
to get through is this area right here.
• 9:58
But thank you for the alert, Susie.
• 10:00
Very, I very well may have screwed things up.
• 10:02
  That's upstairs. Susie.
• 10:04
Hey, we are the only show in precious metals, right?
• 10:07
With a walkie-talkie assistant. Everybody please say thank you
• 10:11
to the one and only my lovely and talented wife and assistant.
• 10:16
Well, not assistant boss, I'm sorry.
• 10:18
She's going to lock the basement door upstairs.
• 10:20
Susie, we love her. She is the absolute best.
• 10:23
OK, next we're going to talk about oh boy, oh boy, a major
• 10:27
breakout in the gold sector and what's good for gold, what's
• 10:31
good for gold mining stocks is good for silver.
• 10:34
Before we do that, we're going to throw out the best thing in
• 10:36
silver and that's number one right there.
• 10:40
First meant they are a silver specialist meant located in Las
• 10:44
Vegas, NV. They're owned by first Majestic
• 10:47
silver. So it's the freshest silver in
• 10:50
town. First Majestic mines the silver
• 10:53
in Mexico, right? People work tirelessly.
• 10:56
You got to think about that when you get like like this here,
• 10:59
this one ounce liberty bar from first Mint.
• 11:03
Somebody worked like, you know, mining is very tough to get the
• 11:07
silver out of the ground. It goes from First Majestic in
• 11:11
Mexico to 1st Mint in Las Vegas, NV.
• 11:14
  I visited their site. It's real, it's incredible, it's
• 11:17
cool. They make these world class
• 11:19
silver bullion products and then you know where it goes straight
• 11:22
to you. Not to the Comex, not to the
• 11:26
LBMA. No, it doesn't go anywhere
• 11:29
except directly from the mine to the mint to you.
• 11:32
It's Comex free. It's spoof proof silver.
• 11:37
Let's get silver off the Comex, right?
• 11:39
And I tell you what First Mint is a is a great vehicle for all
• 11:43
of us to do that. I'm going to take you out to
• 11:45
their website so you know where to go first. mint.com and here
• 11:51
you go. You can go to store and check
• 11:53
out. They've got bars, rounds and
• 11:55
they can personalize silver bars for you.
• 11:58
The five ounce, 10 oz or the kilo if you have expensive
• 12:02
taste. OK, they're free shipping on
• 12:05
orders over $299. There's the Las Vegas round.
• 12:09
Oh, and they do have a special going on, the Liberty Bar that I
• 12:13
showed you earlier, $2 off right now.
• 12:16
OK, it truly is a premium retail experience.
• 12:21
How do I know that? Because I've received shipments
• 12:24
from First Men. How also do I know that?
• 12:27
Because every basement dweller down here, us together that's
• 12:31
given First Men a shot and bought from them is like, wow,
• 12:35
we have received absolute perfect positive feedback from
• 12:40
our community. So it's awesome to have them.
• 12:42
OK, let's go take a look at this very interesting long term and
• 12:50
let's get the screen up for you guys.
• 12:52
Here we go. All right, now you're seeing it.
• 12:55
Lucas Ekowumi gold miners are set to outperform.
• 12:59
Why do we want to pay attention to gold miners?
• 13:02
Because when the gold miners get attention, the silver miners get
• 13:05
attention in the whole precious metals ecosystem gets attention.
• 13:09
And he says we are in the second breakout of gold miners after a
• 13:13
  multi decade consolidation phase.
• 13:16
We're going back, way back. But wait till you see this guys
• 13:19
  from 1940 to 1960 consolidated. From 1960 to 8025, X returns,
• 13:28
OK. And then again from 1980 to
• 13:31
2025, we consolidated again. So what he's showing on this
• 13:37
chart, which actually goes all the way back to 1960, is this
• 13:45
right this this long period in blue of consolidation.
• 13:49
Then we broke out right where his green arrow is went up 25 X
• 13:54
in the next 19 years. Then from 1980, all right
• 13:58
through 2025, look at that consolidation again and we have
• 14:03
just broken out. We have just broken out if it,
• 14:09
it doesn't even have to match what it did last time.
• 14:12
If it goes up just, you know, half and we're talking about
• 14:15
12X13 X returns in the gold mining sector.
• 14:20
But the gold mining sector is what everybody will see first,
• 14:24
right? The big gold miners, then
• 14:26
they're going to get into the silver miners, then it's going
• 14:29
to bring over all attention from those people.
• 14:33
I mean, whatever the debt, whatever that I hear so many
• 14:35
different numbers, 1% point 5 percent, 1 1/2 percent of
• 14:40
people's wealth of people in the United States are invested in
• 14:45
silver and gold. The other 98 1/2 percent, OK,
• 14:49
who we like to affect? How do we refer to those people?
• 14:52
And we mean this nice. They are the the sheeple, right?
• 15:03
They don't know yet. They're yet to wake up.
• 15:05
They're not they weren't raised in India or China where there's
• 15:08
  an appreciation of precious metals.
• 15:10
They were brainwashed into believing that gold and silver
• 15:14
were for pirates are right now, right when they wake up and join
• 15:18
  us, remember, it's a it's a lot easier to go from 1% to 5% is 5X
• 15:24
more money. OK, the the fact that the it's I
• 15:27
know it's frustrating, but it's actually a good thing my phone
• 15:31
keeps blowing up. Hold on a second.
• 15:33
I can hear OK, But it's actually a good thing that number's so
• 15:37
small because going from 1% to 5% is a heck of a lot of if we
• 15:41
were sitting down here saying, well, you know, 25% of Americans
• 15:47
are invested in gold and silver, the most we get hoped for is
• 15:50
that it would go to 50%. That would be like 2X, right?
• 15:53
  But we're at 1%, going to 3% is 3 * 5.
• 15:57
You know what I'm saying? Pretty easy math, right?
• 16:00
And that's, guess what? One more big reason why that's
• 16:03
so important. That's the Ron's basement law of
• 16:06
law of small numbers. Because all that money that
• 16:10
comes in when people wake up, that's all new money, OK?
• 16:14
And a lot of it's going to come from artificial intelligence,
• 16:17
  right? Where, oh, artificial
• 16:19
intelligence like, you know, makes up whatever 50% of the
• 16:22
entire stock market, even if just a dribble A dribble drabble
• 16:26
of that money comes into the precious metals sector as a
• 16:30
whole, the mining stocks, the metals.
• 16:33
It would be like, it's like trying to run Niagara Falls
• 16:37
through a garden hose. OK, it doesn't work.
• 16:41
Well, it works, but you know, I'm not a financial advisor.
• 16:46
Make do your own research. But it could it could make for
• 16:49
some extraordinary returns in both the metals and the mining
• 16:53
stocks. Speaking of mining stocks, let's
• 16:55
say thank you to channel sponsor First Mining gold.
• 16:57
The stock that I own long before they sponsor the channel.
• 17:00
One of my very first YouTube videos ever ever was about first
• 17:03
mining gold again before they sponsored me.
• 17:06
But they are a development stage gold mining company with two
• 17:10
  huge multi million outs projects.
• 17:12
Where where where would be the best place on earth to have a
• 17:15
big massive multi million outs? Not one, but two gold mining
• 17:20
development stage projects Canada, right, like one of the
• 17:24
best jurisdictions in the world. We're not talking about
• 17:27
somewhere often, you know, some far-flung country that we've
• 17:31
never heard of before. We're talking about Canada.
• 17:34
OK spring pole in Ontario, Duparque located in Quebec.
• 17:39
Check them out. You can go to their website,
• 17:41
firstmininggold.com and and I think it's an interesting story
• 17:45
because eventually these big gold, we talked about this
• 17:48
yesterday, these big gold mining companies, they aren't investing
• 17:52
in their pipelines now, OK, they're going to need to find
• 17:56
big new projects. OK, I'll leave it at that.
• 17:59
All right, let's talk about $200 silver from the man like the one
• 18:04
of the coolest dudes. I mean, really down to earth,
• 18:07
not a salesman. Matthew Pipenberg, right?
• 18:10
If you I'm sure you're going to know who he is here in a second.
• 18:13
He's he talks about how he can see a future with $200 silver
• 18:20
and let's get him pulled up right now.
• 18:26
Here it is. This is the part where he talks
• 18:30
about $200 silver. Demand slow down in a in a
• 18:44
recession, but certainly that can affect supply and demand and
• 18:48
certainly the paper exchange is going to affect the price.
• 18:51
But supply and demand, just like I think the demand for silver
• 18:55
and the supply and demand mismatch will be greater forces,
• 18:58
bottom line than any industrial demand slow down in a in a
• 19:03
recession. But certainly that can affect
• 19:05
supply and demand, and certainly the paper exchange is going to
• 19:09
affect the price. But supply and demand, just like
• 19:12
everything in the end, finally gets the last laugh.
• 19:15
I'm not here to time it. Many in the silver space are far
• 19:19
more bullish than I am. But I'm easily a $200 silver.
• 19:22
And EGON is extremely bullish. And others who track the technos
• 19:25
and fundamentals aren't worried about trying to time this
• 19:28
direction and just sitting back and letting the dollar shoot.
• 19:30
OK, I love it. Did you hear what he said?
• 19:33
A new way that we can talk about the future of the silver price.
• 19:37
I wrote it down. Supply and demand always get the
• 19:41
last laugh. Mathematics shows no forgiveness
• 19:46
on the altar of truth. OK, at the end of the day, and
• 19:50
he's saying $200 silver. But as he mentioned, right, his
• 19:54
partner, the guy that he works with, Egon Ergon von Mars Gold,
• 19:58
Switzerland, he's even more bullish about where silver.
• 20:01
And these are guys that are usually very gold oriented and
• 20:05
they love gold. And we love gold, but look, you
• 20:08
know that's what's coming. It's a physical world of at the
• 20:12
end of the day, right? As he said, supply and demand
• 20:18
always get the last laugh and they're going to get it again.
• 20:20
OK, let's talk about buckle up. I'm just I'm showing you the
• 20:24
numbers here about why silver could go to and just think of a
• 20:30
crazy silver number in your head in the next five years and this
• 20:35
number that I'm about to show you could top it.
• 20:39
OK, here's the chart. Darn it, I had that.
• 20:42
Well, we'll go back and give credit where credit is due.
• 20:45
This is the chart again that is comparing the silver price.
• 20:50
Sorry to the NASDAQ 40 year chart.
• 20:54
Guys, we are right now at .003. If you divide the price of
• 21:01
silver by the NDX, you get .003, OK?
• 21:06
As he says up here, if we go back to the all time highs of
• 21:11
that ratio, that would mean silver would outperform the NDX
• 21:15
at a 30X, OK? So multiply the current silver.
• 21:20
That would mean if, if this number right, where to get if we
• 21:25
wanted that number. Hold on here, let me erase this,
• 21:29
all right? If we wanted to get back to the
• 21:30
historic highs, they're talking about 30X, OK, the silver price
• 21:36
would have to be 30X higher. This is not make believe.
• 21:41
These are real numbers, OK? This what is back in.
• 21:48
Oh my gosh, what is what year is that 1986, right?
• 21:53
I mean, that's, that's not that long ago, right, where this
• 21:57
happened. And they talk about how this is
• 21:59
like a symmetry. I don't know what, what would we
• 22:03
call that chart? I'll leave that to your
• 22:05
imagination. But it shows us the potential in
• 22:09
the future of the silver price, which again, if you multiply the
• 22:13
current silver price times 30, you're going to get a number
• 22:16
well north of $2000 per oz in silver, which is where we would
• 22:20
have to be right now to match previous highs of where we were
• 22:25
in the past. All right, and since it's been a
• 22:28
while, let's go pay a visit to our good friend.
• 22:30
All right, it's easy to it's easy to kind of let this fade
• 22:34
away, but the Oriental Ghost is sharing the numbers from the
• 22:37
Shanghai Gold Exchange in the Shanghai Futures Exchange every
• 22:42
single day. And we still as of the close
• 22:46
last night and it's probably even higher now, can see that on
• 22:51
the Shanghai Gold Exchange, we and then we're going to talk
• 22:54
about the inventory levels there as well.
• 22:56
However, the reality is that we've got a silver price close
• 23:00
to $87.00 per oz. That is a big, big premium.
• 23:06
China is taking over, India is taking over, Singapore is taking
• 23:12
over, right. Hong Kong in Hong Kong is part
• 23:15
of China taking over the physical market for silver and
• 23:20
for gold, but for silver in particular in that premium.
• 23:24
I got notes here somewhere, right?
• 23:26
We're taking it for granted, right?
• 23:27
But this, that was AI remember just like 910 a year ago, that
• 23:32
premium was really nothing like it is now.
• 23:35
Now we're looking at 8-9 dollars, sometimes $10 per oz
• 23:39
premium for physical. The Shanghai Gold Exchange is a
• 23:43
physical market, OK? You have to actually believe it
• 23:47
or not believe. Trust me on this one.
• 23:50
You got to actually have the metal to trade on the Shanghai
• 23:54
Gold Exchange. Let's talk about silver
• 23:56
shortages, man. We got a lot to cover, guys.
• 23:59
Here we go. This was great.
• 24:01
This was great. This is brought to us by William
• 24:04
Middlecoup. The man, the myth, the legend.
• 24:06
The first peak metal. Peak metal.
• 24:09
Meaning the first metal that has already reached its peak of
• 24:13
  production. Right.
• 24:15
They call that peak oil, Peak gold.
• 24:16
Whatever. Well, let's take a look.
• 24:19
  Was it bauxite? No.
• 24:20
  Chromium. No.
• 24:21
  Cobalt, No. Copper?
• 24:22
No. I am going to show it.
• 24:25
I am going to show it. Thank you.
• 24:26
Upstairs, Susie, here we go. There's the charts.
• 24:30
William Middlecoup. As you can see, all these
• 24:33
different metals, the production has been going up and up and up
• 24:38
from what about 1980? All right, is it graphite?
• 24:41
  Lithium. No.
• 24:42
  Nickel, no. Rare earth?
• 24:43
No. But look here, here, Who's the
• 24:46
  11? Remember Sesame Street?
• 24:48
One of these kids is doing their own thing.
• 24:51
And that would be silver, right? If you look where I just circled
• 24:56
there, you can see that overall worldwide, this is global mine
• 25:03
production of minerals from 1960 through 2024.
• 25:10
Again, I'll circle it for you down here in the lower right
• 25:13
corner, global production of silver has been actually going
• 25:18
  down. It's not crashed.
• 25:20
We're not saying that, but think about that within the context of
• 25:23
the of the reality that the demand for silver is going
• 25:27
through the roof. I'd one of my great, one of our
• 25:29
great fellow basement dwellers from the state of California
• 25:32
sent me an e-mail earlier today. He was like, don't believe this
• 25:36
BS about them. Substitute China substituting
• 25:40
copper for silver and solar panels.
• 25:43
And he kind of laid it out and he actually compared it to a
• 25:46
situation with with sheetrock that happened with China back in
• 25:49
the day. He's like, they aren't if you
• 25:52
basically what he said, and I believe him, like they aren't
• 25:56
going to be able to substitute copper for silver in those solar
• 26:00
panels. So wild times ahead, boy, what
• 26:04
else? Let's look at, Let's look at
• 26:05
  gold. Let's look at gold.
• 26:10
What is this telling us despite the double dip correction?
• 26:14
Hold on here all right now we got it.
• 26:17
Despite the double dip correction in Q1, gold remains
• 26:21
fairly positive across the developing market space in 2026.
• 26:26
Year to date, up to April, only three major currencies
• 26:31
outperformed gold in only four months.
• 26:34
Gold is exposing just how divergent currency performance
• 26:38
is. All in all, this chart reveals
• 26:42
where Fiat confidence is sinking fast.
• 26:45
And this shows right how gold performed against a big basket
• 26:51
of of of currencies throughout the world.
• 26:54
Yes, there were three down here. The Australian dollar looks like
• 27:00
the Norwegian kroner. Is that what it is?
• 27:02
And whatever the ILS is just three.
• 27:05
However, over here, as you can see, gold outperformed.
• 27:12
Hold on here now we got it. Gold outperformed spectacularly,
• 27:19
if that's a word, in the great British pound, the Canadian
• 27:23
dollar. Gold outperformed all all these
• 27:26
currencies, the euro, the, there's the US dollar right
• 27:30
  there. OK, gold.
• 27:32
And remember, gold is the granddaddy of the precious
• 27:34
metals. That's why we always, we love
• 27:36
gold. We love gold mining stocks and
• 27:39
it, it will set the tone overall for the silver price.
• 27:44
Although I saw something very interesting the other day, darn
• 27:48
it. And I, I meant to share it with
• 27:49
you guys, but it, it, it compared how, if you, if you
• 27:53
multiply like the moves in gold by 2.5 over the last, like, I
• 27:58
don't know, three years or something, it almost perfectly
• 28:01
mirrored the moves in silver. So silver and gold will move in
• 28:06
  unison. However, silver will typically,
• 28:10
as we well know, be a little more volatile.
• 28:14
Thank you to Sugar Mountain Trading for sponsoring Ron's
• 28:17
basement. They're a premium personal care
• 28:19
brand. I've been using their products
• 28:21
for a month. I love them.
• 28:22
They've got this great home handmade, curated, 100% natural
• 28:28
soap that I've been using. Here it is right here.
• 28:31
Oat and honey soap. OK, cherry almond, right?
• 28:34
This is different than the soaps shampoos that you'll get at the
• 28:38
grocery store. They also have lotions, even if
• 28:40
therapeutic lotions. You can read about them on their
• 28:43
website and it's a great company.
• 28:46
OK, Sugar Mountain trading.com and there's a special discount
• 28:50
code for us basement dwellers. Ron 25, you get 25% off now
• 28:56
what? Oh, let's talk about remember
• 28:57
Paul Volcker, the gold standard? Remember when do you remember
• 29:01
when President Richard Nixon took us off the gold standard in
• 29:04
1971 and it was just going to be temporary.
• 29:07
Paul Volcker was the head of the Fed, right?
• 29:09
Volcker was the guy that like raised interest rates to 15% and
• 29:14
solve the inflation crisis that we had during the 1970s.
• 29:18
It was different back then because we only had about a
• 29:20
trillion dollars in debt or less.
• 29:22
OK, different times. They can't do that now.
• 29:25
But what's interesting is that Judy Shelton talked with
• 29:29
Volcker, interviewed him, and you're not going to believe what
• 29:32
Volcker said. He was like they were.
• 29:34
They thought that Nixon was going to put us back on the gold
• 29:37
standard because the gold standard always worked.
• 29:39
Let's watch just a short clip when Judy Shelton is talking
• 29:44
about her discussions with Paul Volcker.
• 29:49
I think I've got this teed up. Yes, I do, and I'm going to
• 29:53
share it with you. There you go.
• 29:56
We'll put it on full screen. That's Judy Shelton, who Trump
• 29:58
tried to put into the Fed. Listen to what she said about
• 30:01
Volcker and about gold. OK, Listen up.
• 30:04
Paul Volcker was present in August 1971 at the time that
• 30:09
President Nixon closed the gold window and and ended that
• 30:13
system. And Paul Volcker on the
• 30:17
sidelines in between taping would say, you know, I, I never
• 30:21
meant that to be the outcome, he said.
• 30:23
I thought we needed to temporarily close the system
• 30:27
because we had inflated so much to finance both the Vietnam War
• 30:32
and new entitlement programs, that we had exported inflation
• 30:36
around the world. And those countries were now
• 30:38
demanding that we redeem U.S. dollars at the old $35 per ounce
• 30:43
of gold convertibility rate, which was inherent in the
• 30:46
Bretton Woods agreement. And he said, I just thought we
• 30:49
might have to go to to $38 or maybe even 40.
• 30:54
But he said then I thought we would reinstate what was
• 30:57
essentially the system that he said everyone at Treasury
• 31:01
believed in. Everyone that's from Honest
• 31:05
Money with Judy Shelton. I love Judy Shelton.
• 31:07
She's the one who's proposed even gold backed U.S.
• 31:11
Treasury bonds in the in the future.
• 31:14
Very interesting. But what she said is true.
• 31:17
It worked. Volcker knew it worked.
• 31:19
Everybody at the Treasury apparently thought that we were
• 31:23
going to and should go back onto the gold standard.
• 31:25
Why? Because up until 1971, it worked
• 31:29
  really great. Come on, guys.
• 31:31
I don't know how old you are. I'm 56 years old.
• 31:34
I grew up in the 70s, in the 70s.
• 31:37
I mean, supposedly we've we've progressed and things are better
• 31:40
  now. I don't think so.
• 31:42
My I grew up in the middle of middle class.
• 31:45
We had two cars. I went to private schools,
• 31:47
believe it or not, we went to Disney World.
• 31:50
We had a really good life, right.
• 31:52
Today, a middle class family can't get the same standard of
• 31:58
living that you can get in the 1970s.
• 32:00
And that was, I think, a big part of that was a result of the
• 32:03
fact that the United States had built a solid foundation with a
• 32:07
monetary system where we had silver in our money, right where
• 32:11
we had. I had a dollar that was backed
• 32:14
  by gold. It worked.
• 32:16
OK. And here's I won't go too far
• 32:19
down this rabble, but think about this.
• 32:21
Nixon came on TV in 1970 or so. I'm temporarily taking the
• 32:25
United States off the gold standard.
• 32:27
OK, temporarily. But what happened was once they
• 32:30
went off the gold standard and all the politicians realized,
• 32:34
whoa, now we can just spend as much money as we want.
• 32:38
It's like sending a 19 year old college kid off to Vegas with
• 32:42
all your credit cards. OK, They never went back, right?
• 32:46
It's or it's like giving a a 7th grade girl a cell phone for the
• 32:52
first time. You're never going to see him
• 32:53
again. It's never coming back, right?
• 32:57
And that leads us to where we are now.
• 32:59
And it leads us to this fact that what, since 1971 when they
• 33:02
took us off the gold standard and they took silver out of our
• 33:05
money and what 6465, you know, now, like the dollar has just
• 33:11
what's the statistic since 1971, the dollars lost like 9998% of
• 33:18
  its value against gold. Hello.
• 33:22
You know, I'm not saying hello to you.
• 33:23
You know, we know, right? I mean, come on, it's a, it's an
• 33:27
interesting scenario. How about more $200 silver?
• 33:32
And then we got, oh, I almost forgot to tell you, $200 silver.
• 33:35
And then we've got our daily dose of doom and gloom.
• 33:38
Before we do that, guys, thank you to Dirty Man Safe for their
• 33:43
affiliation with Ron's basement. This is their smallest, they
• 33:47
call it their crypto version. But these are safes you bury in
• 33:50
  the ground. OK?
• 33:52
They come with this sleeve. You dig a hole, put the sleeve,
• 33:55
and then you got your safe. OK, this opens up.
• 33:58
This is their tiniest one at the bottom, but I'm telling you, you
• 34:02
could, you could fit quite a bit.
• 34:04
And they're actually this 5 oz bar from firstment, which is
• 34:09
absolutely beautiful, fits in here perfectly.
• 34:13
I'm not saying I would do this, but you can put it in there,
• 34:16
  right? Seal it up.
• 34:17
These things are so cool. OK, you put it down.
• 34:21
This is underground. So imagine we're underground
• 34:23
right now. Put it down in there.
• 34:25
It's got this cool cap. Everything about these things
• 34:27
are first class. You store it.
• 34:29
OK, it's got, it's like stainless steel handle that
• 34:33
  comes with it. It's buried.
• 34:35
You put dirt over it. I mean, these the little 1, you
• 34:37
could almost like if you wanted to put a spare set of keys in
• 34:40
there or whatever, I don't know. But again, it's dirty man safe.
• 34:43
There's a discount code, right? Where is it?
• 34:46
I got a dirty man safe hanging right there.
• 34:48
Ron 10 if you want to check them out for yourself.
• 34:51
Again, everyone's been super pleased with them.
• 34:54
Let's talk about Robert Kiyosaki talked about $200 silver.
• 34:59
But who talked about Robert Kiyosaki talking about $200
• 35:03
silver is even more interesting and I'm going to tell you why
• 35:07
  right now. Here's the quote.
• 35:09
Robert Kiyosaki just said gold will hit 35K in silver 200 in
• 35:15
  2026. Interesting.
• 35:18
Silver is consumed by solar, EVs, electronics and can't be
• 35:22
recycled. Central banks are buying gold at
• 35:25
record pace as the dollar collapses.
• 35:27
He predicts the crash comes first and then metals explode.
• 35:32
And here, let's just listen to him talk.
• 35:33
It's 11 seconds. Talk about the crash.
• 35:35
The stock market's going to crash big time.
• 35:39
Biggest crash in history, so it hasn't happened yet stock
• 35:44
market's going to crash, biggest crash in history, but what I
• 35:47
promised you. What's even more interesting is
• 35:50
who's posting this look at this Leska dot ETH, OK, with 200.
• 35:57
This is a crypto person with 200,000 followers.
• 36:02
People are starting to wake up. Look, I love gold and silver.
• 36:07
I personally like love crypto as well, but people around the
• 36:11
world are waking up. We're seeing like influencers
• 36:15
and this is interesting in both the crypto world, but also, and
• 36:19
  I can't remember the guy's name, but he's got like 4 million
• 36:23
followers. He's out of New York, darn it.
• 36:24
Anyway, that are followed by younger people.
• 36:27
  Look, I'm, I'm, I'm not saying you're old, I'm 56, but like
• 36:31
these influencers where people in their 20s and 30s, they don't
• 36:37
watch the news and they don't read newspapers.
• 36:41
They get their news from places like X Reddit, other things like
• 36:45
  that. They're very, they're a little
• 36:46
more skeptical of what's going on in the younger, the, the
• 36:50
influencers that are popular with the younger people are
• 36:54
beginning to wake up, right and beginning to understand right.
• 36:59
The, the, the, the dangers of the Fiat money system and the
• 37:03
benefits of silver and gold. Now it's time for our day.
• 37:06
Daily dose of gloom and doom. Lynn Alden.
• 37:10
Now you talk about a major influencer, Lynn Alden.
• 37:13
If you don't know who she is, she's like considered to always
• 37:17
be the smartest person in the room.
• 37:19
And Lynn has not quite 1,000,000 but 946,000 followers.
• 37:25
She points this out, She said, Man, this is that consume.
• 37:30
This is the biggest story of last week that's not getting
• 37:32
enough attention, she said. Today's print in U.S. consumer
• 37:36
sentiment is brutal, right? We had a record low in consumer
• 37:42
sentiment last week. the United States is a consumer based
• 37:46
economy. It's all that's what drives our
• 37:49
  economy. Google is reporting that
• 37:52
searches for people searching on Google for can't pay.
• 37:56
My credit cards are at an all time high.
• 37:59
OK. The, the, the stock market, like
• 38:02
Robert Kiyosaki says, like we know these a the AI sector and I
• 38:06
think AI is great and I think it's here it is state no doubt,
• 38:09
however, right, it has created a massive bubble in our stock
• 38:14
market and nobody's talking about private credit.
• 38:17
OK, remember that that was that was what happened.
• 38:21
I was even talking about it. I'm like, what happened?
• 38:23
It like went away. Remember the big private credit
• 38:25
crisis we had? I wonder what happened there.
• 38:28
I wonder how that got fixed all of a sudden, Right.
• 38:31
But we still have a big private credit problem in the United
• 38:35
States that some people like into some form or fashion of
• 38:39
what led up to the great financial crisis.
• 38:42
The net effect of all of this, when it feeds through, if
• 38:46
there's, if there, if just if there's a little trouble in the
• 38:50
US stock market, I can guarantee you one thing they're going to
• 38:54
do, especially with Donald Trump, this is not a political
• 38:58
channel, not a political statement, but they will print
• 39:02
money. They will do QE, they will do
• 39:05
bond curve control. They will monetize the debt,
• 39:08
however you want to say it. They will one way or the other,
• 39:13
right? They will devalue the US dollar
• 39:16
to save themselves, to save the system, to save the ultra
• 39:21
wealthy. And that will do one key thing
• 39:24
that we have to remember that will create inflation.
• 39:28
And that's why as basement dwellers, every time we get
• 39:32
together, right for the foreseeable future, we're going
• 39:35
to remind ourselves how simple everything has become,
• 39:39
especially since we are keenly interested in the precious
• 39:43
metals. The real kicker, the only thing
• 39:47
we have to really keep an eye on, right, is inflation.
• 39:50
If you don't want to pay attention to any of this other
• 39:53
noise, well, this that, you know, geopolitically it's all it
• 39:57
all. It's fun to talk about it all
• 39:59
does relate, but it all ultimately.
• 40:02
All roads lead to inflation and inflation will be the number one
• 40:08
driver of the precious metals prices over the next year, over
• 40:12
the next 10 years, mark my word. OK, we can see around the
• 40:17
corner, right? You got a good head on your
• 40:19
shoulders. I appreciate you joining us down
• 40:22
here in the basement. On behalf of upstairs, Susie and
• 40:24
myself, seriously, thank you. This is possible because of you.
• 40:30
Please subscribe to the channel if you haven't already.
• 40:32
It's still free and we will look forward to seeing you.
• 40:37
Yes, you right. You're real right.
• 40:40
Isn't it cool? We get to connect, get to hang
• 40:42
out in the basement. Basement dwellers, we'll see you
• 40:44
  next time. Thank you.
