- 0:01Massive developing stories in the precious metals market, Yes,
- 0:04the silver price and gold price are doing quite well today,
- 0:08which was not an active trading day in all the US markets.
- 0:11But we want to talk about what we want to talk about, right, is
- 0:15like massive historic moves to come and we got a lot of stories
- 0:19to cover. The biggest story of course is
- 0:22you. Thank you for joining us here in
- 0:23the basement. We are the basement dwellers.
- 0:26We believe in the future of silver and gold because we
- 0:31understand history and mathematics.
- 0:35We're going to take a look at the silver price, talk about
- 0:37what's going on, what caused the move today.
- 0:39There's a lot of confusing information out there.
- 0:41But we're also going to talk about $200 silver yet again,
- 0:47right? They're finally starting to talk
- 0:49about $200 silver, as we requested.
- 0:52Before we get the $300 silver, we've got another chart.
- 0:56I won't even tell you what the price is that this chart says
- 1:00the silver price could be at and it could be there right now,
- 1:04silver shortages. Paul Volcker, what did he say?
- 1:08And we're going to cover what a big crypto, a massive like
- 1:12million follower crypto account is saying about silver and gold.
- 1:16And we're going to cover the Harami Cross.
- 1:19Oh yeah, we're going to learn about the Harami Cross together.
- 1:23But let's go take a look at that silver price and gold price.
- 1:27We love gold too, don't get us wrong, and the gold mining
- 1:30stocks. And we're going to head out to
- 1:32Kitco and check out where we are right now, $77.63.
- 1:39Hey, guys, look, last week there was a point where we were at
- 1:43like $73.60. So we're doing quite well.
- 1:47What's the reason behind this? Let's go out to Kitco, who
- 1:51shared this this morning. Spot gold prices and spot silver
- 1:56prices are sharply higher on Monday, trading as weaker U.S.
- 2:00dollar noise, lower Treasury yield expectations, big time
- 2:04noise and a sharp drop in crude oil prices supported precious
- 2:09metals. Noise, noise, noise.
- 2:11At the time of writing, gold was at 4550 and silver was at 7780.
- 2:17Where was silver when we just looked?
- 2:19We're we're pretty darn close guys.
- 2:22Look, 7760 we've had quite a move up in particular again,
- 2:28when we look back just six days ago when the silver price
- 2:32touched like the $7473.50 per oz level.
- 2:37But wait, there's more because they're, they're saying that
- 2:41we're going to have peace in the Middle East.
- 2:43But then we get this headline from Zero Hedge just a few hours
- 2:47ago saying there's reports of deadly US Israeli air strikes on
- 2:52Iran's port of Bandar Abbas as Trump issues and rate enriched
- 2:57uranium demand. And then I found this
- 2:59interesting, fighter jets attacking 2 boats.
- 3:03Iran lifted their Internet ban is Israel dramatically ramps up
- 3:07its war and bombing of Lebanon, right?
- 3:10We're not even really, that's not getting much attention.
- 3:14But this is what's interesting. Al Arabiya claims that Tehran,
- 3:18Tehran is ready to transfer highly enriched uranium to
- 3:24China. Oh, interesting.
- 3:26Very interesting how China is getting involved in this.
- 3:29Look, there's a lot of conflicting reports, a lot of
- 3:32noise, and who knows what's going to happen with the Middle
- 3:36East situation. I'm not a political analyst.
- 3:39I follow the silver and gold price.
- 3:41And to me, it's important, don't get me wrong.
- 3:43And me personally, I'm not really in favor of war, but I
- 3:47think that when it comes to silver and gold, all this stuff
- 3:50that's happening right now, the oil price, interest rates,
- 3:53really guys, it's all a bunch of noise.
- 3:56The long term fundamental story for gold and silver remain
- 3:59intact. Let's learn about the Harami
- 4:02Cross. This is new and it's bullish for
- 4:05the silver price. We had a chart come out this
- 4:10morning from this gentleman, the A dollar trader, he said.
- 4:16Silver is opening the week with a bullish kicker candle.
- 4:20Hey, the silver price got a swift kick in the rear, OK,
- 4:25gapping higher and pushing back toward the 50 day moving average
- 4:29after several sessions of sideways consolidation near
- 4:33support. Today's open was one of the more
- 4:35more bullish scenarios that silver bowls could have hoped
- 4:38for to start the week. And then he shares this more
- 4:41information. But we're going to get right to
- 4:43the meat. We're going to learn about the
- 4:45right here, the Harami cross and the spinning top.
- 4:49We're going to do a little education guys.
- 4:51These are Candlestick, this is a key called a Candlestick chart.
- 4:56Japanese, it's Japanese origins, very interesting, but the Harami
- 5:01cross is a very bullish indicator and we had a spinning
- 5:05top. Don't worry, we're going to
- 5:07we're going to learn about that in the blue line before we get
- 5:11into that right here. This blue line that you can see
- 5:13kind of back in here is the 50 day moving average and we are
- 5:18fighting to get back above that. That would be very bullish.
- 5:23But we did have a Harami cross. Now let's go.
- 5:26I have something prepared for you so that we could learn about
- 5:29this together. The Harami cross, let's go to
- 5:34the top, is a 2 candle reversal pattern where a large candle is
- 5:39followed by a doji, a candle with virtually identical open
- 5:43and close prices that is completely contained within the
- 5:47body of the previous candle. It signals that the current
- 5:51trend is losing momentum and may reverse.
- 5:55So here we go right here. For those of you who are new, I
- 5:58love these Candlestick charts. This is called a candle.
- 6:02A candle. This represents either like if
- 6:04it's a one day candle or a one week candle.
- 6:07But when it's red, OK, the body of the candle represents up
- 6:12here. That's where it opened.
- 6:14Like if this is for the day, that's where the price opened
- 6:17and down here is where it closed.
- 6:19The Wicks that go off the top, right like that right there,
- 6:23I'll erase that. Should have used a different
- 6:25color. That represents the highest
- 6:28point that the price got during the day in this is the lowest
- 6:31point. Now when we've got this Harami
- 6:34situation like they're talking about again, right?
- 6:38It's one big candle. So on this day, the price opened
- 6:42way up here, closed way down here.
- 6:44But the next day this candle like as you can see the body of
- 6:49this candle is very small. So the open and close price were
- 6:53very close, but the entire price swing was within.
- 6:56So that let's go back to that chart is what happened right
- 7:01here. You can see there was a big red
- 7:03candle and then right there where it says Harami cross a
- 7:06little one and that was in a bit of a downtrend and that can
- 7:09signal the reversal, right, which is what we had since that
- 7:14occurred. Now the other thing they talk
- 7:16about since we're learning about candlesticks is a spinning top.
- 7:21Another bullish signal and one more bit of learning.
- 7:25We're going to go to school for just one more second.
- 7:28I like the the candlesticks. It's probably my favorite.
- 7:31Hold on here. There we go.
- 7:33My favorite of all and a spinning top is a single candle
- 7:38with a small real body and a long upper and lower shadows are
- 7:44I call them Wicks. It indicates indecision in the
- 7:47market, showing that neither buyers nor sellers could gain
- 7:50control and often signals a pause or reverse in a trend.
- 7:55OK, so bearish. Uh oh, we better go back.
- 7:59Was that a bullish? Yeah, it was.
- 8:01I'm sorry. OK, see that little little one
- 8:03right there that's spinning top. So when it's when it's bearish,
- 8:07it's red, right? The open like they show there
- 8:09and the close is right there, the high and the low.
- 8:12But what we had is the one on the right, the green 1.
- 8:15So look guys, we got a Harami cross, a spinning top, the fit
- 8:21we're we're pushing up against the the 50 day moving average.
- 8:25And the other thing that everybody's talking about, but I
- 8:28don't quite see it. Maybe you see it is an inverse
- 8:31head and shoulders pattern. I guess we can't see it on this
- 8:35on this chart, but apparently there's an inverse head and
- 8:38shoulders pattern. Let me see if I can pull that
- 8:41up. Yeah, he's actually got it over
- 8:43here, right. The inverse head and shoulders
- 8:45pattern is when you have a price, as you can see, right,
- 8:49There's a shoulder, shoulder. It's like a person standing on
- 8:52their head. There's a head, there's another
- 8:54shoulder, and then it breaks up. So we'll keep a close eye on
- 8:57that. And now we know what a Harami
- 9:01cross is. We have, we have the Harami
- 9:04cross. OK, silver, Next up from Shane
- 9:09Magura. We got a lot of Asian influence
- 9:12today on our show. Silver is now up over 4% off of
- 9:15support. However, the test will be
- 9:18whether or not we can close this week above $81.00 once we get
- 9:24confirmation. And I agree with him on that.
- 9:26Above that reason, I am not. Thank you.
- 9:30Susie. What's going on?
- 9:33Why is this not working? Hold on.
- 9:36Yep. No, I am right.
- 9:38Yeah. Shane Magura, I think I yes, I
- 9:41am. They're seeing the right screen.
- 9:42However, the test will be whether we can get above this
- 9:45$81.00 resistance zone. And as you can see right here,
- 9:49we are right there between those two lines.
- 9:52We've been bouncing around through there and where we need
- 9:55to get through is this area right here.
- 9:58But thank you for the alert, Susie.
- 10:00Very, I very well may have screwed things up.
- 10:02That's upstairs. Susie.
- 10:04Hey, we are the only show in precious metals, right?
- 10:07With a walkie-talkie assistant. Everybody please say thank you
- 10:11to the one and only my lovely and talented wife and assistant.
- 10:16Well, not assistant boss, I'm sorry.
- 10:18She's going to lock the basement door upstairs.
- 10:20Susie, we love her. She is the absolute best.
- 10:23OK, next we're going to talk about oh boy, oh boy, a major
- 10:27breakout in the gold sector and what's good for gold, what's
- 10:31good for gold mining stocks is good for silver.
- 10:34Before we do that, we're going to throw out the best thing in
- 10:36silver and that's number one right there.
- 10:40First meant they are a silver specialist meant located in Las
- 10:44Vegas, NV. They're owned by first Majestic
- 10:47silver. So it's the freshest silver in
- 10:50town. First Majestic mines the silver
- 10:53in Mexico, right? People work tirelessly.
- 10:56You got to think about that when you get like like this here,
- 10:59this one ounce liberty bar from first Mint.
- 11:03Somebody worked like, you know, mining is very tough to get the
- 11:07silver out of the ground. It goes from First Majestic in
- 11:11Mexico to 1st Mint in Las Vegas, NV.
- 11:14I visited their site. It's real, it's incredible, it's
- 11:17cool. They make these world class
- 11:19silver bullion products and then you know where it goes straight
- 11:22to you. Not to the Comex, not to the
- 11:26LBMA. No, it doesn't go anywhere
- 11:29except directly from the mine to the mint to you.
- 11:32It's Comex free. It's spoof proof silver.
- 11:37Let's get silver off the Comex, right?
- 11:39And I tell you what First Mint is a is a great vehicle for all
- 11:43of us to do that. I'm going to take you out to
- 11:45their website so you know where to go first. mint.com and here
- 11:51you go. You can go to store and check
- 11:53out. They've got bars, rounds and
- 11:55they can personalize silver bars for you.
- 11:58The five ounce, 10 oz or the kilo if you have expensive
- 12:02taste. OK, they're free shipping on
- 12:05orders over $299. There's the Las Vegas round.
- 12:09Oh, and they do have a special going on, the Liberty Bar that I
- 12:13showed you earlier, $2 off right now.
- 12:16OK, it truly is a premium retail experience.
- 12:21How do I know that? Because I've received shipments
- 12:24from First Men. How also do I know that?
- 12:27Because every basement dweller down here, us together that's
- 12:31given First Men a shot and bought from them is like, wow,
- 12:35we have received absolute perfect positive feedback from
- 12:40our community. So it's awesome to have them.
- 12:42OK, let's go take a look at this very interesting long term and
- 12:50let's get the screen up for you guys.
- 12:52Here we go. All right, now you're seeing it.
- 12:55Lucas Ekowumi gold miners are set to outperform.
- 12:59Why do we want to pay attention to gold miners?
- 13:02Because when the gold miners get attention, the silver miners get
- 13:05attention in the whole precious metals ecosystem gets attention.
- 13:09And he says we are in the second breakout of gold miners after a
- 13:13multi decade consolidation phase.
- 13:16We're going back, way back. But wait till you see this guys
- 13:19from 1940 to 1960 consolidated. From 1960 to 8025, X returns,
- 13:28OK. And then again from 1980 to
- 13:312025, we consolidated again. So what he's showing on this
- 13:37chart, which actually goes all the way back to 1960, is this
- 13:45right this this long period in blue of consolidation.
- 13:49Then we broke out right where his green arrow is went up 25 X
- 13:54in the next 19 years. Then from 1980, all right
- 13:58through 2025, look at that consolidation again and we have
- 14:03just broken out. We have just broken out if it,
- 14:09it doesn't even have to match what it did last time.
- 14:12If it goes up just, you know, half and we're talking about
- 14:1512X13 X returns in the gold mining sector.
- 14:20But the gold mining sector is what everybody will see first,
- 14:24right? The big gold miners, then
- 14:26they're going to get into the silver miners, then it's going
- 14:29to bring over all attention from those people.
- 14:33I mean, whatever the debt, whatever that I hear so many
- 14:35different numbers, 1% point 5 percent, 1 1/2 percent of
- 14:40people's wealth of people in the United States are invested in
- 14:45silver and gold. The other 98 1/2 percent, OK,
- 14:49who we like to affect? How do we refer to those people?
- 14:52And we mean this nice. They are the the sheeple, right?
- 15:03They don't know yet. They're yet to wake up.
- 15:05They're not they weren't raised in India or China where there's
- 15:08an appreciation of precious metals.
- 15:10They were brainwashed into believing that gold and silver
- 15:14were for pirates are right now, right when they wake up and join
- 15:18us, remember, it's a it's a lot easier to go from 1% to 5% is 5X
- 15:24more money. OK, the the fact that the it's I
- 15:27know it's frustrating, but it's actually a good thing my phone
- 15:31keeps blowing up. Hold on a second.
- 15:33I can hear OK, But it's actually a good thing that number's so
- 15:37small because going from 1% to 5% is a heck of a lot of if we
- 15:41were sitting down here saying, well, you know, 25% of Americans
- 15:47are invested in gold and silver, the most we get hoped for is
- 15:50that it would go to 50%. That would be like 2X, right?
- 15:53But we're at 1%, going to 3% is 3 * 5.
- 15:57You know what I'm saying? Pretty easy math, right?
- 16:00And that's, guess what? One more big reason why that's
- 16:03so important. That's the Ron's basement law of
- 16:06law of small numbers. Because all that money that
- 16:10comes in when people wake up, that's all new money, OK?
- 16:14And a lot of it's going to come from artificial intelligence,
- 16:17right? Where, oh, artificial
- 16:19intelligence like, you know, makes up whatever 50% of the
- 16:22entire stock market, even if just a dribble A dribble drabble
- 16:26of that money comes into the precious metals sector as a
- 16:30whole, the mining stocks, the metals.
- 16:33It would be like, it's like trying to run Niagara Falls
- 16:37through a garden hose. OK, it doesn't work.
- 16:41Well, it works, but you know, I'm not a financial advisor.
- 16:46Make do your own research. But it could it could make for
- 16:49some extraordinary returns in both the metals and the mining
- 16:53stocks. Speaking of mining stocks, let's
- 16:55say thank you to channel sponsor First Mining gold.
- 16:57The stock that I own long before they sponsor the channel.
- 17:00One of my very first YouTube videos ever ever was about first
- 17:03mining gold again before they sponsored me.
- 17:06But they are a development stage gold mining company with two
- 17:10huge multi million outs projects.
- 17:12Where where where would be the best place on earth to have a
- 17:15big massive multi million outs? Not one, but two gold mining
- 17:20development stage projects Canada, right, like one of the
- 17:24best jurisdictions in the world. We're not talking about
- 17:27somewhere often, you know, some far-flung country that we've
- 17:31never heard of before. We're talking about Canada.
- 17:34OK spring pole in Ontario, Duparque located in Quebec.
- 17:39Check them out. You can go to their website,
- 17:41firstmininggold.com and and I think it's an interesting story
- 17:45because eventually these big gold, we talked about this
- 17:48yesterday, these big gold mining companies, they aren't investing
- 17:52in their pipelines now, OK, they're going to need to find
- 17:56big new projects. OK, I'll leave it at that.
- 17:59All right, let's talk about $200 silver from the man like the one
- 18:04of the coolest dudes. I mean, really down to earth,
- 18:07not a salesman. Matthew Pipenberg, right?
- 18:10If you I'm sure you're going to know who he is here in a second.
- 18:13He's he talks about how he can see a future with $200 silver
- 18:20and let's get him pulled up right now.
- 18:26Here it is. This is the part where he talks
- 18:30about $200 silver. Demand slow down in a in a
- 18:44recession, but certainly that can affect supply and demand and
- 18:48certainly the paper exchange is going to affect the price.
- 18:51But supply and demand, just like I think the demand for silver
- 18:55and the supply and demand mismatch will be greater forces,
- 18:58bottom line than any industrial demand slow down in a in a
- 19:03recession. But certainly that can affect
- 19:05supply and demand, and certainly the paper exchange is going to
- 19:09affect the price. But supply and demand, just like
- 19:12everything in the end, finally gets the last laugh.
- 19:15I'm not here to time it. Many in the silver space are far
- 19:19more bullish than I am. But I'm easily a $200 silver.
- 19:22And EGON is extremely bullish. And others who track the technos
- 19:25and fundamentals aren't worried about trying to time this
- 19:28direction and just sitting back and letting the dollar shoot.
- 19:30OK, I love it. Did you hear what he said?
- 19:33A new way that we can talk about the future of the silver price.
- 19:37I wrote it down. Supply and demand always get the
- 19:41last laugh. Mathematics shows no forgiveness
- 19:46on the altar of truth. OK, at the end of the day, and
- 19:50he's saying $200 silver. But as he mentioned, right, his
- 19:54partner, the guy that he works with, Egon Ergon von Mars Gold,
- 19:58Switzerland, he's even more bullish about where silver.
- 20:01And these are guys that are usually very gold oriented and
- 20:05they love gold. And we love gold, but look, you
- 20:08know that's what's coming. It's a physical world of at the
- 20:12end of the day, right? As he said, supply and demand
- 20:18always get the last laugh and they're going to get it again.
- 20:20OK, let's talk about buckle up. I'm just I'm showing you the
- 20:24numbers here about why silver could go to and just think of a
- 20:30crazy silver number in your head in the next five years and this
- 20:35number that I'm about to show you could top it.
- 20:39OK, here's the chart. Darn it, I had that.
- 20:42Well, we'll go back and give credit where credit is due.
- 20:45This is the chart again that is comparing the silver price.
- 20:50Sorry to the NASDAQ 40 year chart.
- 20:54Guys, we are right now at .003. If you divide the price of
- 21:01silver by the NDX, you get .003, OK?
- 21:06As he says up here, if we go back to the all time highs of
- 21:11that ratio, that would mean silver would outperform the NDX
- 21:15at a 30X, OK? So multiply the current silver.
- 21:20That would mean if, if this number right, where to get if we
- 21:25wanted that number. Hold on here, let me erase this,
- 21:29all right? If we wanted to get back to the
- 21:30historic highs, they're talking about 30X, OK, the silver price
- 21:36would have to be 30X higher. This is not make believe.
- 21:41These are real numbers, OK? This what is back in.
- 21:48Oh my gosh, what is what year is that 1986, right?
- 21:53I mean, that's, that's not that long ago, right, where this
- 21:57happened. And they talk about how this is
- 21:59like a symmetry. I don't know what, what would we
- 22:03call that chart? I'll leave that to your
- 22:05imagination. But it shows us the potential in
- 22:09the future of the silver price, which again, if you multiply the
- 22:13current silver price times 30, you're going to get a number
- 22:16well north of $2000 per oz in silver, which is where we would
- 22:20have to be right now to match previous highs of where we were
- 22:25in the past. All right, and since it's been a
- 22:28while, let's go pay a visit to our good friend.
- 22:30All right, it's easy to it's easy to kind of let this fade
- 22:34away, but the Oriental Ghost is sharing the numbers from the
- 22:37Shanghai Gold Exchange in the Shanghai Futures Exchange every
- 22:42single day. And we still as of the close
- 22:46last night and it's probably even higher now, can see that on
- 22:51the Shanghai Gold Exchange, we and then we're going to talk
- 22:54about the inventory levels there as well.
- 22:56However, the reality is that we've got a silver price close
- 23:00to $87.00 per oz. That is a big, big premium.
- 23:06China is taking over, India is taking over, Singapore is taking
- 23:12over, right. Hong Kong in Hong Kong is part
- 23:15of China taking over the physical market for silver and
- 23:20for gold, but for silver in particular in that premium.
- 23:24I got notes here somewhere, right?
- 23:26We're taking it for granted, right?
- 23:27But this, that was AI remember just like 910 a year ago, that
- 23:32premium was really nothing like it is now.
- 23:35Now we're looking at 8-9 dollars, sometimes $10 per oz
- 23:39premium for physical. The Shanghai Gold Exchange is a
- 23:43physical market, OK? You have to actually believe it
- 23:47or not believe. Trust me on this one.
- 23:50You got to actually have the metal to trade on the Shanghai
- 23:54Gold Exchange. Let's talk about silver
- 23:56shortages, man. We got a lot to cover, guys.
- 23:59Here we go. This was great.
- 24:01This was great. This is brought to us by William
- 24:04Middlecoup. The man, the myth, the legend.
- 24:06The first peak metal. Peak metal.
- 24:09Meaning the first metal that has already reached its peak of
- 24:13production. Right.
- 24:15They call that peak oil, Peak gold.
- 24:16Whatever. Well, let's take a look.
- 24:19Was it bauxite? No.
- 24:20Chromium. No.
- 24:21Cobalt, No. Copper?
- 24:22No. I am going to show it.
- 24:25I am going to show it. Thank you.
- 24:26Upstairs, Susie, here we go. There's the charts.
- 24:30William Middlecoup. As you can see, all these
- 24:33different metals, the production has been going up and up and up
- 24:38from what about 1980? All right, is it graphite?
- 24:41Lithium. No.
- 24:42Nickel, no. Rare earth?
- 24:43No. But look here, here, Who's the
- 24:4611? Remember Sesame Street?
- 24:48One of these kids is doing their own thing.
- 24:51And that would be silver, right? If you look where I just circled
- 24:56there, you can see that overall worldwide, this is global mine
- 25:03production of minerals from 1960 through 2024.
- 25:10Again, I'll circle it for you down here in the lower right
- 25:13corner, global production of silver has been actually going
- 25:18down. It's not crashed.
- 25:20We're not saying that, but think about that within the context of
- 25:23the of the reality that the demand for silver is going
- 25:27through the roof. I'd one of my great, one of our
- 25:29great fellow basement dwellers from the state of California
- 25:32sent me an e-mail earlier today. He was like, don't believe this
- 25:36BS about them. Substitute China substituting
- 25:40copper for silver and solar panels.
- 25:43And he kind of laid it out and he actually compared it to a
- 25:46situation with with sheetrock that happened with China back in
- 25:49the day. He's like, they aren't if you
- 25:52basically what he said, and I believe him, like they aren't
- 25:56going to be able to substitute copper for silver in those solar
- 26:00panels. So wild times ahead, boy, what
- 26:04else? Let's look at, Let's look at
- 26:05gold. Let's look at gold.
- 26:10What is this telling us despite the double dip correction?
- 26:14Hold on here all right now we got it.
- 26:17Despite the double dip correction in Q1, gold remains
- 26:21fairly positive across the developing market space in 2026.
- 26:26Year to date, up to April, only three major currencies
- 26:31outperformed gold in only four months.
- 26:34Gold is exposing just how divergent currency performance
- 26:38is. All in all, this chart reveals
- 26:42where Fiat confidence is sinking fast.
- 26:45And this shows right how gold performed against a big basket
- 26:51of of of currencies throughout the world.
- 26:54Yes, there were three down here. The Australian dollar looks like
- 27:00the Norwegian kroner. Is that what it is?
- 27:02And whatever the ILS is just three.
- 27:05However, over here, as you can see, gold outperformed.
- 27:12Hold on here now we got it. Gold outperformed spectacularly,
- 27:19if that's a word, in the great British pound, the Canadian
- 27:23dollar. Gold outperformed all all these
- 27:26currencies, the euro, the, there's the US dollar right
- 27:30there. OK, gold.
- 27:32And remember, gold is the granddaddy of the precious
- 27:34metals. That's why we always, we love
- 27:36gold. We love gold mining stocks and
- 27:39it, it will set the tone overall for the silver price.
- 27:44Although I saw something very interesting the other day, darn
- 27:48it. And I, I meant to share it with
- 27:49you guys, but it, it, it compared how, if you, if you
- 27:53multiply like the moves in gold by 2.5 over the last, like, I
- 27:58don't know, three years or something, it almost perfectly
- 28:01mirrored the moves in silver. So silver and gold will move in
- 28:06unison. However, silver will typically,
- 28:10as we well know, be a little more volatile.
- 28:14Thank you to Sugar Mountain Trading for sponsoring Ron's
- 28:17basement. They're a premium personal care
- 28:19brand. I've been using their products
- 28:21for a month. I love them.
- 28:22They've got this great home handmade, curated, 100% natural
- 28:28soap that I've been using. Here it is right here.
- 28:31Oat and honey soap. OK, cherry almond, right?
- 28:34This is different than the soaps shampoos that you'll get at the
- 28:38grocery store. They also have lotions, even if
- 28:40therapeutic lotions. You can read about them on their
- 28:43website and it's a great company.
- 28:46OK, Sugar Mountain trading.com and there's a special discount
- 28:50code for us basement dwellers. Ron 25, you get 25% off now
- 28:56what? Oh, let's talk about remember
- 28:57Paul Volcker, the gold standard? Remember when do you remember
- 29:01when President Richard Nixon took us off the gold standard in
- 29:041971 and it was just going to be temporary.
- 29:07Paul Volcker was the head of the Fed, right?
- 29:09Volcker was the guy that like raised interest rates to 15% and
- 29:14solve the inflation crisis that we had during the 1970s.
- 29:18It was different back then because we only had about a
- 29:20trillion dollars in debt or less.
- 29:22OK, different times. They can't do that now.
- 29:25But what's interesting is that Judy Shelton talked with
- 29:29Volcker, interviewed him, and you're not going to believe what
- 29:32Volcker said. He was like they were.
- 29:34They thought that Nixon was going to put us back on the gold
- 29:37standard because the gold standard always worked.
- 29:39Let's watch just a short clip when Judy Shelton is talking
- 29:44about her discussions with Paul Volcker.
- 29:49I think I've got this teed up. Yes, I do, and I'm going to
- 29:53share it with you. There you go.
- 29:56We'll put it on full screen. That's Judy Shelton, who Trump
- 29:58tried to put into the Fed. Listen to what she said about
- 30:01Volcker and about gold. OK, Listen up.
- 30:04Paul Volcker was present in August 1971 at the time that
- 30:09President Nixon closed the gold window and and ended that
- 30:13system. And Paul Volcker on the
- 30:17sidelines in between taping would say, you know, I, I never
- 30:21meant that to be the outcome, he said.
- 30:23I thought we needed to temporarily close the system
- 30:27because we had inflated so much to finance both the Vietnam War
- 30:32and new entitlement programs, that we had exported inflation
- 30:36around the world. And those countries were now
- 30:38demanding that we redeem U.S. dollars at the old $35 per ounce
- 30:43of gold convertibility rate, which was inherent in the
- 30:46Bretton Woods agreement. And he said, I just thought we
- 30:49might have to go to to $38 or maybe even 40.
- 30:54But he said then I thought we would reinstate what was
- 30:57essentially the system that he said everyone at Treasury
- 31:01believed in. Everyone that's from Honest
- 31:05Money with Judy Shelton. I love Judy Shelton.
- 31:07She's the one who's proposed even gold backed U.S.
- 31:11Treasury bonds in the in the future.
- 31:14Very interesting. But what she said is true.
- 31:17It worked. Volcker knew it worked.
- 31:19Everybody at the Treasury apparently thought that we were
- 31:23going to and should go back onto the gold standard.
- 31:25Why? Because up until 1971, it worked
- 31:29really great. Come on, guys.
- 31:31I don't know how old you are. I'm 56 years old.
- 31:34I grew up in the 70s, in the 70s.
- 31:37I mean, supposedly we've we've progressed and things are better
- 31:40now. I don't think so.
- 31:42My I grew up in the middle of middle class.
- 31:45We had two cars. I went to private schools,
- 31:47believe it or not, we went to Disney World.
- 31:50We had a really good life, right.
- 31:52Today, a middle class family can't get the same standard of
- 31:58living that you can get in the 1970s.
- 32:00And that was, I think, a big part of that was a result of the
- 32:03fact that the United States had built a solid foundation with a
- 32:07monetary system where we had silver in our money, right where
- 32:11we had. I had a dollar that was backed
- 32:14by gold. It worked.
- 32:16OK. And here's I won't go too far
- 32:19down this rabble, but think about this.
- 32:21Nixon came on TV in 1970 or so. I'm temporarily taking the
- 32:25United States off the gold standard.
- 32:27OK, temporarily. But what happened was once they
- 32:30went off the gold standard and all the politicians realized,
- 32:34whoa, now we can just spend as much money as we want.
- 32:38It's like sending a 19 year old college kid off to Vegas with
- 32:42all your credit cards. OK, They never went back, right?
- 32:46It's or it's like giving a a 7th grade girl a cell phone for the
- 32:52first time. You're never going to see him
- 32:53again. It's never coming back, right?
- 32:57And that leads us to where we are now.
- 32:59And it leads us to this fact that what, since 1971 when they
- 33:02took us off the gold standard and they took silver out of our
- 33:05money and what 6465, you know, now, like the dollar has just
- 33:11what's the statistic since 1971, the dollars lost like 9998% of
- 33:18its value against gold. Hello.
- 33:22You know, I'm not saying hello to you.
- 33:23You know, we know, right? I mean, come on, it's a, it's an
- 33:27interesting scenario. How about more $200 silver?
- 33:32And then we got, oh, I almost forgot to tell you, $200 silver.
- 33:35And then we've got our daily dose of doom and gloom.
- 33:38Before we do that, guys, thank you to Dirty Man Safe for their
- 33:43affiliation with Ron's basement. This is their smallest, they
- 33:47call it their crypto version. But these are safes you bury in
- 33:50the ground. OK?
- 33:52They come with this sleeve. You dig a hole, put the sleeve,
- 33:55and then you got your safe. OK, this opens up.
- 33:58This is their tiniest one at the bottom, but I'm telling you, you
- 34:02could, you could fit quite a bit.
- 34:04And they're actually this 5 oz bar from firstment, which is
- 34:09absolutely beautiful, fits in here perfectly.
- 34:13I'm not saying I would do this, but you can put it in there,
- 34:16right? Seal it up.
- 34:17These things are so cool. OK, you put it down.
- 34:21This is underground. So imagine we're underground
- 34:23right now. Put it down in there.
- 34:25It's got this cool cap. Everything about these things
- 34:27are first class. You store it.
- 34:29OK, it's got, it's like stainless steel handle that
- 34:33comes with it. It's buried.
- 34:35You put dirt over it. I mean, these the little 1, you
- 34:37could almost like if you wanted to put a spare set of keys in
- 34:40there or whatever, I don't know. But again, it's dirty man safe.
- 34:43There's a discount code, right? Where is it?
- 34:46I got a dirty man safe hanging right there.
- 34:48Ron 10 if you want to check them out for yourself.
- 34:51Again, everyone's been super pleased with them.
- 34:54Let's talk about Robert Kiyosaki talked about $200 silver.
- 34:59But who talked about Robert Kiyosaki talking about $200
- 35:03silver is even more interesting and I'm going to tell you why
- 35:07right now. Here's the quote.
- 35:09Robert Kiyosaki just said gold will hit 35K in silver 200 in
- 35:152026. Interesting.
- 35:18Silver is consumed by solar, EVs, electronics and can't be
- 35:22recycled. Central banks are buying gold at
- 35:25record pace as the dollar collapses.
- 35:27He predicts the crash comes first and then metals explode.
- 35:32And here, let's just listen to him talk.
- 35:33It's 11 seconds. Talk about the crash.
- 35:35The stock market's going to crash big time.
- 35:39Biggest crash in history, so it hasn't happened yet stock
- 35:44market's going to crash, biggest crash in history, but what I
- 35:47promised you. What's even more interesting is
- 35:50who's posting this look at this Leska dot ETH, OK, with 200.
- 35:57This is a crypto person with 200,000 followers.
- 36:02People are starting to wake up. Look, I love gold and silver.
- 36:07I personally like love crypto as well, but people around the
- 36:11world are waking up. We're seeing like influencers
- 36:15and this is interesting in both the crypto world, but also, and
- 36:19I can't remember the guy's name, but he's got like 4 million
- 36:23followers. He's out of New York, darn it.
- 36:24Anyway, that are followed by younger people.
- 36:27Look, I'm, I'm, I'm not saying you're old, I'm 56, but like
- 36:31these influencers where people in their 20s and 30s, they don't
- 36:37watch the news and they don't read newspapers.
- 36:41They get their news from places like X Reddit, other things like
- 36:45that. They're very, they're a little
- 36:46more skeptical of what's going on in the younger, the, the
- 36:50influencers that are popular with the younger people are
- 36:54beginning to wake up, right and beginning to understand right.
- 36:59The, the, the, the dangers of the Fiat money system and the
- 37:03benefits of silver and gold. Now it's time for our day.
- 37:06Daily dose of gloom and doom. Lynn Alden.
- 37:10Now you talk about a major influencer, Lynn Alden.
- 37:13If you don't know who she is, she's like considered to always
- 37:17be the smartest person in the room.
- 37:19And Lynn has not quite 1,000,000 but 946,000 followers.
- 37:25She points this out, She said, Man, this is that consume.
- 37:30This is the biggest story of last week that's not getting
- 37:32enough attention, she said. Today's print in U.S. consumer
- 37:36sentiment is brutal, right? We had a record low in consumer
- 37:42sentiment last week. the United States is a consumer based
- 37:46economy. It's all that's what drives our
- 37:49economy. Google is reporting that
- 37:52searches for people searching on Google for can't pay.
- 37:56My credit cards are at an all time high.
- 37:59OK. The, the, the stock market, like
- 38:02Robert Kiyosaki says, like we know these a the AI sector and I
- 38:06think AI is great and I think it's here it is state no doubt,
- 38:09however, right, it has created a massive bubble in our stock
- 38:14market and nobody's talking about private credit.
- 38:17OK, remember that that was that was what happened.
- 38:21I was even talking about it. I'm like, what happened?
- 38:23It like went away. Remember the big private credit
- 38:25crisis we had? I wonder what happened there.
- 38:28I wonder how that got fixed all of a sudden, Right.
- 38:31But we still have a big private credit problem in the United
- 38:35States that some people like into some form or fashion of
- 38:39what led up to the great financial crisis.
- 38:42The net effect of all of this, when it feeds through, if
- 38:46there's, if there, if just if there's a little trouble in the
- 38:50US stock market, I can guarantee you one thing they're going to
- 38:54do, especially with Donald Trump, this is not a political
- 38:58channel, not a political statement, but they will print
- 39:02money. They will do QE, they will do
- 39:05bond curve control. They will monetize the debt,
- 39:08however you want to say it. They will one way or the other,
- 39:13right? They will devalue the US dollar
- 39:16to save themselves, to save the system, to save the ultra
- 39:21wealthy. And that will do one key thing
- 39:24that we have to remember that will create inflation.
- 39:28And that's why as basement dwellers, every time we get
- 39:32together, right for the foreseeable future, we're going
- 39:35to remind ourselves how simple everything has become,
- 39:39especially since we are keenly interested in the precious
- 39:43metals. The real kicker, the only thing
- 39:47we have to really keep an eye on, right, is inflation.
- 39:50If you don't want to pay attention to any of this other
- 39:53noise, well, this that, you know, geopolitically it's all it
- 39:57all. It's fun to talk about it all
- 39:59does relate, but it all ultimately.
- 40:02All roads lead to inflation and inflation will be the number one
- 40:08driver of the precious metals prices over the next year, over
- 40:12the next 10 years, mark my word. OK, we can see around the
- 40:17corner, right? You got a good head on your
- 40:19shoulders. I appreciate you joining us down
- 40:22here in the basement. On behalf of upstairs, Susie and
- 40:24myself, seriously, thank you. This is possible because of you.
- 40:30Please subscribe to the channel if you haven't already.
- 40:32It's still free and we will look forward to seeing you.
- 40:37Yes, you right. You're real right.
- 40:40Isn't it cool? We get to connect, get to hang
- 40:42out in the basement. Basement dwellers, we'll see you
- 40:44next time. Thank you.
