Welcome to this week's edition of "A R T U." 9 00:00:31,000 --> 00:00:35,000 I am one after the show. I am Jetpack joined every single week of my clothes 10 00:00:35,000 --> 00:00:41,000 when I was on a dot tray. Franklin, Dr. Tray, you may be snowed in my front! 11 00:00:41,000 --> 00:00:43,000 Yeah, I'm actually looking forward to this. 12 00:00:43,000 --> 00:00:47,000 Like so, we have anywhere, this is well about meteorologists. 13 00:00:47,000 --> 00:00:49,000 We have anywhere from 2 to 6 inches coming in, 14 00:00:49,000 --> 00:00:51,000 some more orper-synosophilus. 15 00:00:51,000 --> 00:00:55,000 You don't really know what's coming and the running joke as well. 16 00:00:55,000 --> 00:00:59,000 It's a guy making the predictions and guys can't measure in inches anyway. 17 00:00:59,000 --> 00:01:01,000 Hey! 18 00:01:01,000 --> 00:01:07,000 We have no, we know we're getting snow, we just don't know how much, or how much it will affect us. 19 00:01:07,000 --> 00:01:11,000 But yeah, I already sent my team home for tomorrow. 20 00:01:11,000 --> 00:01:13,000 Like, don't worry about coming in. 21 00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:17,000 They already canceled school for Sammy Franklin. 22 00:01:17,000 --> 00:01:20,000 I'm like, yeah, we're just going to sit here at the house and bundle it. 23 00:01:20,000 --> 00:01:24,000 We already went and bought all our milk and bread like you do in calamities. 24 00:01:24,000 --> 00:01:30,000 So, we're pretty stocked up for a few days and we, Jeff, I even have a generator. 25 00:01:30,000 --> 00:01:32,000 Like, I never thought I'd own one of those, but my dad gave me one. 26 00:01:32,000 --> 00:01:34,000 So, I have a generator in case the power goes out. 27 00:01:34,000 --> 00:01:38,000 Yeah, well, there you go. I mean, at least you got that going. 28 00:01:38,000 --> 00:01:44,000 This is like when we get hurricanes in the northeast, Dr. Tray makes fun of us. 29 00:01:44,000 --> 00:01:49,000 When Dr. Tray gets snowstorms in the south, we make fun of them. 30 00:01:49,000 --> 00:01:52,000 I was like, do you have a snow shovel? 31 00:01:52,000 --> 00:01:54,000 And what was your response to me, Prickshaw? 32 00:01:54,000 --> 00:01:57,000 I said, no, I don't have a snow shovel, but I have a leaf blower. 33 00:01:57,000 --> 00:02:00,000 And you were kind of flabbergasted by that. 34 00:02:00,000 --> 00:02:04,000 I was like, no, it's a trick I learned from a friend of mine in Rhode Island 35 00:02:04,000 --> 00:02:09,000 because when they get snowed there, they got an industrial leaf blower to blow their walkways off. 36 00:02:09,000 --> 00:02:12,000 So, I had to kind of plan on doing the same thing. 37 00:02:12,000 --> 00:02:15,000 Like, I got my rock salt from lows. 38 00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:19,000 I got my kitty litter from the Walmart to put down for traction. 39 00:02:19,000 --> 00:02:21,000 Oh, you're perfect. 40 00:02:21,000 --> 00:02:24,000 Yeah, I'm kind of prepared. 41 00:02:24,000 --> 00:02:27,000 The leaf blower works. Don't get me wrong. 42 00:02:27,000 --> 00:02:31,000 It does work, but the heavier it gets. 43 00:02:31,000 --> 00:02:34,000 And you said you may have some rain involved, leader, snowstorm. 44 00:02:34,000 --> 00:02:40,000 Well, that's why I'm being proactive because we're not supposed to get much rain before our snow. 45 00:02:40,000 --> 00:02:45,000 So, we're not supposed to have the icy underlayer beneath it. 46 00:02:45,000 --> 00:02:49,000 Like, it's supposed to basically be just snow then converts the rain. 47 00:02:49,000 --> 00:02:54,000 So, my plan is like every 45 minutes or so, once the snow starts to kind of come out, 48 00:02:54,000 --> 00:02:57,000 blow off the walkways. 49 00:02:57,000 --> 00:03:03,000 So, that way when the rainy ice comes, then that's where the kitty litter and the rock salt kick in 50 00:03:03,000 --> 00:03:04,000 and we can still get around. 51 00:03:04,000 --> 00:03:06,000 Does your car have four wheel? 52 00:03:06,000 --> 00:03:08,000 You have a four wheel drive vehicle? 53 00:03:08,000 --> 00:03:11,000 Of course, have four wheels. 54 00:03:11,000 --> 00:03:13,000 Well, I mean, most of you, you're down south. 55 00:03:13,000 --> 00:03:19,000 You guys all run just two wheel, front wheel, rear wheel, no real need for four wheel, right? 56 00:03:19,000 --> 00:03:23,000 Not for me. I've always been a big proponent of front wheel cars. 57 00:03:23,000 --> 00:03:25,000 I was sending you earlier about a little bit. 58 00:03:25,000 --> 00:03:31,000 If you remember, snow, but getting that they had down here in 2014 when the city of Atlanta was shut down 59 00:03:31,000 --> 00:03:37,000 and it looked like the zombie apocalypse had happened because cars were just left in the interstate. 60 00:03:37,000 --> 00:03:44,000 I had a little dodge of engine with front wheel drive and I drove from Alabama to North Carolina 61 00:03:44,000 --> 00:03:46,000 through all this snow and never had an issue. 62 00:03:46,000 --> 00:03:49,000 So, I have front wheel drive on my little SUV so I should be good. 63 00:03:49,000 --> 00:03:52,000 The wife has a saying like she has all wheel drive in her SUV. 64 00:03:52,000 --> 00:03:55,000 So, if we need to get somewhere, we should be good. 65 00:03:55,000 --> 00:04:04,000 The biggest issue in Alabama is the sheer volume of the big jacked up, you know, F-150s and ramp 1500s. 66 00:04:04,000 --> 00:04:08,000 Those trucks are horrible in snow and ice. 67 00:04:08,000 --> 00:04:14,000 I can't tell me how many times I've seen those guys flip their trucks because they're doing 50 when they should be doing like 20. 68 00:04:14,000 --> 00:04:16,000 Wow, yeah, that's stupid. 69 00:04:16,000 --> 00:04:22,000 Well, they just think, "Well, we don't get it that often out here so those younger kids think that, 70 00:04:22,000 --> 00:04:25,000 "Oh, my big truck, my big tire should be able to handle all this." 71 00:04:25,000 --> 00:04:28,000 Dude, you have no weight in the back end of that truck. 72 00:04:28,000 --> 00:04:32,000 That thing is just going to fish tail out and flip and they don't think about that. 73 00:04:32,000 --> 00:04:39,000 So, that's the biggest issue we run through here is just the idiots that try to drive in it with a vehicle that's ill-prepared, 74 00:04:39,000 --> 00:04:46,000 causing accidents and wrecks and then blocking everything off because the infrastructure is so dedicated to keeping the roads clear. 75 00:04:46,000 --> 00:04:48,000 We don't have anybody available to come work accidents. 76 00:04:48,000 --> 00:04:53,000 So, are you... So, the whole family is... This is a snow day for tomorrow, right, Friday? 77 00:04:53,000 --> 00:04:57,000 Yes, because even the oldest, he's got to go to work tonight. 78 00:04:57,000 --> 00:05:03,000 He works overnight at Waterburger, which is one of my favorite lower burger places in the south. 79 00:05:03,000 --> 00:05:09,000 And he works from 10 to 6 and I'm like, "Dude, just if they let you get out of work a little bit early, come home." 80 00:05:09,000 --> 00:05:12,000 And then we're all just going to hunt like the wife's off work. 81 00:05:12,000 --> 00:05:17,000 Everybody's just going to kind of hunker down, watch movies, maybe try to... 82 00:05:17,000 --> 00:05:25,000 We don't really have USA, so I can't watch SmackDown tomorrow night, but I have Max and I have Netflix, 83 00:05:25,000 --> 00:05:28,000 so I can catch up on anything I missed during the week so far. 84 00:05:28,000 --> 00:05:33,000 That's what it's going to ask. I was asked for you guys going to make it a wrestling day just sitting there watching maybe some Netflix or Max. 85 00:05:33,000 --> 00:05:41,000 Yeah, I mean, the dynamite stuff, like Netflix, we did, this could be our little segue because I'm getting better at this, Jeff. 86 00:05:41,000 --> 00:05:42,000 Hell yeah. 87 00:05:42,000 --> 00:05:47,000 We watched all of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, no buffering issues, everything was great. 88 00:05:47,000 --> 00:05:49,000 You watched it live? 89 00:05:49,000 --> 00:06:00,000 Which is the first time I've caught Monday Night Raw live in like a year and a half because when I cut the cord, I lost my USA network. 90 00:06:00,000 --> 00:06:10,000 So as far as I got to watch it live, and then I have not yet checked out AEW on Max because I have Max as a streaming service also. 91 00:06:10,000 --> 00:06:18,000 So actually when the show finishes up, I'm going to kick that off for a little bit just because I want to see how it looks on Max and how easy the access is to it. 92 00:06:18,000 --> 00:06:21,000 What is available in their library so far? 93 00:06:21,000 --> 00:06:32,000 Yeah, yeah. So let's kick it off here. Raw on Netflix debut this past Monday, unlike you, Dr. Trey, I was watching about an hour and a half behind and I was curious as to like how is this going to happen. 94 00:06:32,000 --> 00:06:39,000 So I went on the home screen on Netflix, which I got a Netflix subscription because of raw. 95 00:06:39,000 --> 00:06:43,000 So congratulations Netflix. You gained another subscriber. 96 00:06:43,000 --> 00:06:53,000 And it went immediately to the beginning of the show and I thought it was going to go towards like what was live at that point. 97 00:06:53,000 --> 00:07:11,000 And what's funny is, so like the welcome screen or the you know, then now forever together comes on and then it stops, spools and pop up comes up and goes, there was an error problem persisting, contact supportive. 98 00:07:11,000 --> 00:07:22,000 Like, oh great, here we go. This is the Logan Paul, excuse me, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight all over again. And I'm like, should I check X and see if people are complaining about buffering issues? 99 00:07:22,000 --> 00:07:31,000 I was like, you know what, screw it. I'll go back and then I'll put it back on. So try again, flawless this time. And I started right from the beginning of the show and was able to watch all the way through. 100 00:07:31,000 --> 00:07:46,000 Go through the commercials. That was very easy. And it was a lot of fun. I mean, we'll break it down in detail. But to start Dr. Trey, like in the annals of time when people look back and I know this is very short-sighted. 101 00:07:46,000 --> 00:07:58,000 This is very knee jerk reaction, but I have probably seen, not probably definitely seen every episode of Monday Night Raw since it launched in January 1993. 102 00:07:58,000 --> 00:08:18,000 I think this may have been the greatest episode of Monday Night Raw, all time, given everything that was going on, the PLE like feel to it. I mean, they had at least three matches on there that you could say could have been WrestleMania level matches with Roman Reigns, 103 00:08:18,000 --> 00:08:42,000 Coca-Cola in tribal combat, real Ripley and Liv Morgan with the title on the line and to close out the show, CM Punk and Seth Rollins. J.U. So Drew McIntyre is PLE worthy. I think it is knocking on the door of a WrestleMania type match, but also sprinkled in there the Rock, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, which we'll get to. 104 00:08:42,000 --> 00:08:56,000 I thought that this was the greatest episode of Monday Night Raw of all time. It was a PLE, on Raw, kicking off Netflix. I know knee jerk, but am I too off base to think that this was potentially the greatest episode of Raw ever. 105 00:08:56,000 --> 00:09:15,000 Man, that's it. I hadn't even thought of it that way. I thought it may have been the best production of Monday Night Raw ever, like with everything they had going on and all the stars and everything else. 106 00:09:15,000 --> 00:09:23,000 Like I thought that might have been it. I just felt like there's a little bit to which dead time at times, even though the dead time was really good. 107 00:09:23,000 --> 00:09:30,000 My favorite Monday Night Raw is still the Dolph Siger cash in episode of the Rock for WrestleMania. That is a very solid episode of Raw. 108 00:09:30,000 --> 00:09:37,000 That's one of my favorite ones of all time and maybe Austin Beer trucks up there too, but that's just for moments. 109 00:09:37,000 --> 00:09:49,000 And that's the one thing that I don't know if we can look back in five or six years, we might say, hey, that was a great, raw, great way to go with Netflix era, but there wasn't that wild moment. 110 00:09:49,000 --> 00:10:05,000 And that's what kind of like kept waiting for there is that one really like to match were great, but then after the first two matches and the good guys won, I kind of felt like that's the way the whole show is going to go and we didn't have that shocking moments. 111 00:10:05,000 --> 00:10:15,000 Like there wasn't that big hook and that's yeah, I think about with AEW is if you're writing television, you want to hook, you want to reason for people to tune in next week. 112 00:10:15,000 --> 00:10:20,000 And I don't know if we got that reason for people to tune in next week. 113 00:10:20,000 --> 00:10:33,000 I think everybody was expecting some sort of major like WrestleMania seed planted, whether it's the rock coming out after Roman Reigns wins and hitting the rock bottom, turning on Reigns, Becky Lynch returning. 114 00:10:33,000 --> 00:10:43,000 I mean, they expected something like that and instead they got a very solid top to bottom, Monday Night Raw, episode of Monday Night Raw. 115 00:10:43,000 --> 00:10:50,000 But like the most star-studded Monday Night Raw all time, I thought Reigns solo was a great match. 116 00:10:50,000 --> 00:10:55,000 I thought they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. I thought, Rhea and Liv was a great match. 117 00:10:55,000 --> 00:11:10,000 I thought Punk and Rollins had a classic of a match and told an amazing story. I think right now I watch that match and as I'm going through it, I'm like, I think this is one, does it win match of the year in 11, 12 months, not, months time? 118 00:11:10,000 --> 00:11:19,000 No, but I think it's one that I look back on go outside of PLEs that were easily can remember. Like that was a really good match. 119 00:11:19,000 --> 00:11:26,000 I thought it was a great, great card. I thought it was a really good show. It did not have that shocking moment. 120 00:11:26,000 --> 00:11:35,000 But I thought there was a lot of wow. I thought there was a lot of like, this is, you know, one of the most amazing matches in raw history type stuff. 121 00:11:35,000 --> 00:11:40,000 And I'm not saying like top three. I'm talking like top 25, top 50, even. 122 00:11:40,000 --> 00:11:52,000 I thought the show delivered on a huge, huge platform and opportunity to showcase themselves in a much bigger audience that was to an end to see how they be performing on Netflix. 123 00:11:52,000 --> 00:12:05,000 And that's where, I think this is where my disc and that comes in from what my expectation was versus what the reality of the show was going to be, which was, I was as a wrestling fan. 124 00:12:05,000 --> 00:12:15,000 I was expecting the big shocking moment, like, oh my god, I can't believe we just saw that, you know, play up to what the great moments in raw history were. 125 00:12:15,000 --> 00:12:34,000 Where in reality, what they did was exactly what you laid out. It was a great show. It was a PLE worthy type show, which when you're drawing in those casual fans who are checking out raw for the first time ever, or, you know, the fans who had dipped out for a while, but they had an Netflix and they're going to check it out. 126 00:12:34,000 --> 00:12:51,000 You know, you put out a really good product for them to go, wow, this is really cool. You saw all the stars and the glamour and everything else that, you know, this was kind of like the Hollywood style of Monday Night Raw, where, you know, there wasn't blood. 127 00:12:51,000 --> 00:12:58,000 There wasn't anything too crazy. It was four really great matches with those really great stories. 128 00:12:58,000 --> 00:13:16,000 And I think that's what they were going for because they want those people to tune in next week, but they don't have those casual fans don't have the history yet, or they don't know the back stories or, like, you know, like if the rock turned on Roman, and you hadn't seen WWE in five or six years, would you think that's about big deal? 129 00:13:16,000 --> 00:13:27,000 You know, like, I guess that's where like my expectation in versus what WWE was planning executing is different or as a wrestling fan, I wanted that moment. 130 00:13:27,000 --> 00:13:35,000 But as a wrestling fan, if I was a casual fan, that would have been a great show for me to get me started on my WWE fandom. 131 00:13:35,000 --> 00:14:03,000 Well, how about this, Dr. Trey? Where, we're all, because we're so used to this, because every other episode of Monday Night Raw, when they have these moments, it's, you know, something that happens in the episode rather than the episode itself, whether it's mankind winning the WWE Championship, Stone Cold, Steve Austin coming down in the beer trucks, praying, McMahon, the corporation with the beer, you know, whatever it may be, it's moments from an episode that stand out. 132 00:14:03,000 --> 00:14:11,000 What if the moment that WWE was trying to capture was just the entire show and its entirety, and that's the moment there? 133 00:14:11,000 --> 00:14:30,000 Yeah, I mean, that's a really fair assessment, and that's where I stand, like, the expectation of what WWE was going to put out for those fans that it kind of denuded the product or had in scene while they see a really well done show with really great quality and everything else. 134 00:14:30,000 --> 00:14:48,000 That's a great thing for those fans. I still think some, and this is where you and I are both diehard fans, like for you, you're happy that me, I still wanted something to kind of cement the show, but I, like, I look back at that music, it was a great show. 135 00:14:48,000 --> 00:15:10,000 I don't have any issue with anybody saying it was a top 10 Raw or top 5 Raw of all time, because it wasn't really a great show, but I like wrestling for moments, and, you know, in 5 years, I'll be like, oh yeah, that Rawms punk match is really good or that, you know, solo Roman match is really good, but it just didn't have anything that makes me go, oh my God, where was I when that happened? 136 00:15:10,000 --> 00:15:20,000 I may not remember in 5 years where I was when I watched that episode of Monday Night Raw. >> Yeah, I slightly disagree because I think you're going to remember the very first episode of Netflix forever. 137 00:15:20,000 --> 00:15:36,000 >> Yeah. >> Again, that's the moment. >> Yeah, I mean, I probably will, because it was a big deal. For me, the little things, the fact that it didn't buffer out, because I sat through the Jake Paul Mike Tyson's fight and dealt with all that buffering issues and everything else. 138 00:15:36,000 --> 00:15:50,000 The drone shots, the constant inside drone shots were awesome. I love that stuff. You know, seeing, dude, I saw Topanga, okay, that alone, we probably put it in the top 10 for me alone. Topanga, have Monday Night Raw. 139 00:15:50,000 --> 00:15:58,000 >> But they snuffed Eric out from Boy Meets World. >> I mean, who cares about Eric? I mean, this show is about Topanga anyway. >> Sure. 140 00:15:58,000 --> 00:16:12,000 >> You know, Cole Culkin, you mentioned that was an amazing pop. >> Yeah, I mean, it was a very star-studded show. I'll remember that stuff. I'll remember, I'll probably remember Hogan any boot. 141 00:16:12,000 --> 00:16:25,000 That might be the moment of the night, was that reaction. But I still love the moment. I still love the shock, the shock and off factor of wrestling. 142 00:16:25,000 --> 00:16:35,000 I think that was missing, but the show itself, I mean, if I had to give a letter, it'd be an A show. I just don't, I just, I love those wrestling to me is about moments. 143 00:16:35,000 --> 00:16:44,000 And maybe the Netflix moment becomes the moment, but for me, I still, for Monday Night Raw, I still need the shock and off. I can't believe I just saw that. 144 00:16:44,000 --> 00:17:02,000 >> So let's, let's, let's rate it here because let's do what we would do for PLEs. We obviously won't keep track of this. But if you're looking at the RAW and Netflix debut, what we typically do, right? 0 to 5 point scale system. I would give it 4.1, 4.2 probably. Am I match the night would be Punk and Rollins. 145 00:17:02,000 --> 00:17:25,000 >> Yeah, I mean, actually, like our rating is a far off. I was at a 4.0, like I thought it was an A quality show. Match of the night though, that's tough because really that solo match with all with the Kevin Owens stuff. I might go with Roman and Solos by match of the night just because of all the craziness that went on getting the, the Jimmy and Sammy run in the KO stuff, the Cody stuff. 146 00:17:25,000 --> 00:17:37,000 It was a little bit kind of a nod to what WrestleMania was last year with all the runners from the Cody Roman match. So if that was my match of the year for WrestleMania, I may have to give Roman and Solo my match the night for RAW. 147 00:17:37,000 --> 00:17:46,000 >> If there was something if I had critiques about it, I would say the Rocks Babyface promo was weird because the last time we saw it was a completely different thing. 148 00:17:46,000 --> 00:17:56,000 It seemed like the Rock reverted back to, you know, last year's day one episode of Monday Night Raw and he was back to the non-final boss Rock. 149 00:17:56,000 --> 00:18:05,000 If I was booking this differently and I'm going to assume that this was discussed and ran by him. And I think the business people know the game better than I do obviously. 150 00:18:05,000 --> 00:18:16,000 But was it better for WWE to promote, it was like less than 24 hours or 48 hours out that it was announced that the Rock was going to be on RAW in Netflix debut? 151 00:18:16,000 --> 00:18:30,000 Is it better that way or during tribal combat, which is filled with interference and awesome pops and here and there, like, so Sammy and Jimmy neutralize Tomatanga and Jacob Fattu. 152 00:18:30,000 --> 00:18:39,000 Kevin Owens makes a surprise, Cody Rhodes comes out and neutralizes that. You know, Solo is about to try to cheat or something like that. 153 00:18:39,000 --> 00:18:45,000 Would you have had the Rock come out then to a pop where it's like, all right, where does Rock lie in this entire thing? 154 00:18:45,000 --> 00:18:56,000 And Rock is looking at both Roman and Solo and he ends up hitting the Rock bottom on Solo, helps Roman get the victory, helps put the Ulefala on Roman, 1, 2, 3, and they go from there. 155 00:18:56,000 --> 00:19:03,000 You know, would you have done that differently? I feel like the wrestling fan in me was like, it probably would have been the way to go. 156 00:19:03,000 --> 00:19:10,000 But I can understand the business standpoint that's like, we got to promote Rock being there 48 hours out. 157 00:19:10,000 --> 00:19:19,000 Yeah, for me, I think the way they did the Rock was basically once again kind of catering to those casual fans. 158 00:19:19,000 --> 00:19:28,000 Those people who haven't seen the Rock in four, five, six, ten years, they just seen from the movies and they're like, oh, Rock's coming out Netflix, I got to check this out. 159 00:19:28,000 --> 00:19:36,000 Those fans probably don't want to see the bad guy Rock. They probably want to see the fun-loving, outgoing, silly kind of Rock in it. 160 00:19:36,000 --> 00:19:45,000 And we got a little bit of that, the appreciative Rock. I mean, say, I guess, save the heel turn for, I guess, later on, or save that moment of him getting involved. 161 00:19:45,000 --> 00:19:54,000 I do like the fact that they had to say, not set him up, I mean, he actually literally is a high chief in this amount of culture. 162 00:19:54,000 --> 00:20:02,000 But that, you know, the Ula Fala has to be bestowed upon the tribal chief by, you know, a high chief in elder. 163 00:20:02,000 --> 00:20:14,000 So getting that moment was great. It was a passing of the torch in a lot of ways for those fans who maybe haven't seen the show in a decade that, oh, the Rock is acknowledging this guy. 164 00:20:14,000 --> 00:20:24,000 So that's our guy now. That's why I guess, to me, I still, I think the show played to the casual fan base more than the hardcore fan base. 165 00:20:24,000 --> 00:20:38,000 So let's kind of transition here towards the rest of many 41 card rumors because I think that, while it's very hard to sit here post-Raw on Netflix and go, all right, where their seats planted, there's this massive potential that there was. 166 00:20:38,000 --> 00:20:44,000 There were stories leading up to it, typically during the holiday break, the rest of anyone card rumors are coming out. 167 00:20:44,000 --> 00:20:50,000 There's the big rumors of will he or won't he be at WrestleMania this year when it comes to the Rock. 168 00:20:50,000 --> 00:20:57,000 There was reports back in like October, November, summertime, frame where they were saying the Rock is not going to be at WrestleMania 41. 169 00:20:57,000 --> 00:21:26,000 And then, I think the Rock came into Ron Netflix, Dave Meltzer reported that Rock will be at WrestleMania coming out of Ron Netflix. I don't know. I think what I saw from Ron Netflix and also what I saw on NXT is that Rock came out is the idea of the Rock was to give everybody a little bit of love, a rub, and he's got to go away for a little bit because I think if it was WrestleMania Rock, he is not cutting babyface promos and acknowledging and showing love and props to Cody Rhodes. 170 00:21:26,000 --> 00:21:34,000 Like he didn't do on his way out from WrestleMania 40 last year. You would figure that he would pick that back up heading into this. 171 00:21:34,000 --> 00:21:48,000 So I think he's not in for WrestleMania right now, Dr. Trey, but the latest rumors are for some of the top cards is punk versus reigned and Cody Rhodes versus John Cena. 172 00:21:48,000 --> 00:21:58,000 Cena announced and declared he is going to be in the Royal Rumble on Monday's RAW. Those are two of the only rumors right now that we're seeing. 173 00:21:58,000 --> 00:22:06,000 I don't know how we get to both quite yet, the very easy simple answer is Cena wins the Rumble in a couple of weeks, punk and reigned. 174 00:22:06,000 --> 00:22:19,000 I guess this is what is owed to him by Paul Heyman knowing what we know there, Dr. Trey, those two rumored card matches for WrestleMania 41 right now. 175 00:22:19,000 --> 00:22:24,000 Do you think those are the matches we see in about 12 weeks? 176 00:22:24,000 --> 00:22:39,000 I don't know, I really can't see Cody in John Cena. Like I know they love doing these passing of the torch matches whether it was WrestleMania 18 or was it 29 and 30 with Cena and Rock. 177 00:22:39,000 --> 00:22:44,000 I know they love those, even go back to WrestleMania, what, six with Hogan and Warrior. 178 00:22:44,000 --> 00:23:05,000 I still, I dislike good guy versus good guy matches. And really, and with two guys who really have not played great heels recently in WWE like Cena and Rhodes, I feel like you risk alienating fan bases with that. 179 00:23:05,000 --> 00:23:18,000 I still think you do seen a Gunther at WrestleMania and then save Cody for something else. The punk thing, punk and Roman's interesting because then if you're doing the cash and if you're doing the favor, what's the favor? 180 00:23:18,000 --> 00:23:22,000 Like I want to fight Roman at WrestleMania, that's the favor I want to cash in. 181 00:23:22,000 --> 00:23:27,000 Like that to me just seems like kind of a weak favor to pole. 182 00:23:27,000 --> 00:23:46,000 Plus when you have the stuff with Seth, Drew, Kale all hating the bloodline, like there's some better opportunities there for me. So I know they're rumored in a lot of that just because they're probably the top four biggest stars in the company, not counting the Rock. 183 00:23:46,000 --> 00:23:56,000 And you want to put your top four guys, almost like a playoff system, like you want your top guys fighting each other at WrestleMania. But to me, I just, that's four good guys fighting each other. 184 00:23:56,000 --> 00:24:05,000 I just hate that because for one, your heels aren't getting any love. And B, you're not really, if punk beats Roman, what does that do for punk? 185 00:24:05,000 --> 00:24:14,000 I mean, if Roman beats punk, what does that do for Roman? You know, if Cena beats Cody, what does that do for Cody? I just don't like the upside of those matches. 186 00:24:14,000 --> 00:24:25,000 Yeah, I'm not loving them right now. Maybe WWE is doing this. Somebody is leaking these matches to see what the fan reaction is, which is similar to stuff that we took, saw it take place last year. 187 00:24:25,000 --> 00:24:33,000 Because I mean, there's very easy ways around it, but in how we get there, but it reminds me a little bit of like old WWE creative. 188 00:24:33,000 --> 00:24:45,000 Because I watched punk, and when I watched punk and Rollins on Netflix this past Monday, I was like, this is the first match in a couple. Like, there's no way it's punk Rollins 1-0. And that's it. 189 00:24:45,000 --> 00:24:56,000 And we don't see these guys wrestle for another six to eight months. That was my initial vibe. Like if you were telling me like they have a follow-up at Saturday Night's Main event, San Antonio, I would believe that. 190 00:24:56,000 --> 00:25:06,000 Or if they're even wrestling at the Royal Rumble, I would believe that. In a normal, perfect world, I think this is something that I would love to see play out until WrestleMania. 191 00:25:06,000 --> 00:25:17,000 You started at Netflix, debut and you continue, you know, similar path of the Drew McIntyre feud and it ends at WrestleMania. Because I think that would be really good. I just can't imagine being one and done. 192 00:25:17,000 --> 00:25:28,000 The Cena Cody stuff, I don't know, it's, it obviously all of this rests upon whether or not the rock is wrestling at WrestleMania 41. 193 00:25:28,000 --> 00:25:38,000 Dr. Trey, because I would imagine the rock is either wrestling Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes. I can't see him wrestling anyone else. He could be wrestling both of them. 194 00:25:38,000 --> 00:25:49,000 That was the rumor coming out of bad blood that he came out of bad blood and that was supposed to be like, okay, this is setting up an eventual triple threat with the rock versus Roman Raiden versus Cody Rhodes. 195 00:25:49,000 --> 00:26:00,000 Like if rock is involved in WrestleMania 41, which some people are saying he is and some people are saying that he's not, I would imagine he's either facing Roman or Cody and or both of them. 196 00:26:00,000 --> 00:26:03,000 I can't see anyone else he's facing at WrestleMania 41. 197 00:26:03,000 --> 00:26:14,000 Yeah, and the only, the only caveat I would do to that is like if it gets announced that we're doing rock, Roman and Cody and triple threat match, what is the favor by punk is the cash in to get involved that match to make it a four way. 198 00:26:14,000 --> 00:26:24,000 Because then they all have all those guys have history or punk's fought Roman at the rumble before. Punk's got the backstory with Roman and Paul Heyman, punk's got history with Cody from AEW. 199 00:26:24,000 --> 00:26:34,000 So that could tie in together, but yeah, for me, rocks got to be in the ring with Cody or rocks got to be in the ring of the Roman like those are the only two options I can see. 200 00:26:34,000 --> 00:26:39,000 I mean, could you do rock, Cena once again forever, never, ever more? 201 00:26:39,000 --> 00:26:44,000 I don't know how you would sell that, but could you do rock and Cena at WrestleMania as well? 202 00:26:44,000 --> 00:26:56,000 I mean, that might be a plan C to go that route, but yeah, like it's eerily reminiscent of was it WrestleMania 4? 203 00:26:56,000 --> 00:26:59,000 Was that the Hogan said justice, WrestleMania? 204 00:26:59,000 --> 00:27:02,000 No, no, that was eight. 205 00:27:02,000 --> 00:27:07,000 Okay, because that was supposed to be Hogan and Flair and they tested down the house show circuit. 206 00:27:07,000 --> 00:27:15,000 And then we ended up getting Hogan and justice and Flair and Savage, where it was just like they tested it out, decided they didn't like it and went a different route. 207 00:27:15,000 --> 00:27:27,000 And I'm like, maybe they are sending feelers out, maybe they are trying to see what the how the crowd response would be, but I just don't see, I don't see the hardcore fans getting behind those two matches and I don't see the casual fans getting behind those two matches. 208 00:27:27,000 --> 00:27:38,000 Somehow punk goes straight, total heel, which then kind of blows up the plans and you kind of already kind of the story you've kind of already laid out leading into this. 209 00:27:38,000 --> 00:27:42,000 So to me, to me, this is just smoke, but no fire. 210 00:27:42,000 --> 00:27:48,000 So let's talk a little bit about Cody Rhodes in particular. So who would you prefer to see Cody Rhodes face at WrestleMania 41? 211 00:27:48,000 --> 00:27:54,000 Is it the rock? Is it John Cena? Is it Roman Reigns Part 3 or somebody else? 212 00:27:54,000 --> 00:28:00,000 I'd love to see Cody and Randy Orton. That's like my preferred choice. 213 00:28:00,000 --> 00:28:03,000 See, and I thought that was the direction they were going over the summer. 214 00:28:03,000 --> 00:28:14,000 Yeah, and because I mean, you got the time with legacy and all the other stuff and the history and all those times that Randy has been eyeballing the title and then passing it to Cody. 215 00:28:14,000 --> 00:28:20,000 To me, that's, and then Randy with a chance to get closer to the record as well. 216 00:28:20,000 --> 00:28:25,000 That's probably my number one for Cody. My number two is probably the rock. 217 00:28:25,000 --> 00:28:30,000 I mean, it a little bit is because of even the, you know, it's a baby face promo. 218 00:28:30,000 --> 00:28:34,000 And then we saw some of the backstage videos. He did call out Mama Rhodes a couple of times. 219 00:28:34,000 --> 00:28:41,000 So there is a little bit of that plan too. So I'd probably go personally, I'd go Randy one, rock two. 220 00:28:41,000 --> 00:28:46,000 And man, who would be number three? I don't even think I have seen it three. 221 00:28:46,000 --> 00:28:54,000 I have, I mean, yeah, maybe Drew. I'd rather see something with that too before I get there. 222 00:28:54,000 --> 00:28:57,000 But Drew's got his whole battle with the bloodline still going on. 223 00:28:57,000 --> 00:29:03,000 Triple H is set in an interview recently. I was listening on the, on a podcast with Jimmy Trainor from Sports Illustrated. 224 00:29:03,000 --> 00:29:10,000 He said that he is penciled in the main event for WrestleMania 41. Do you believe that to be true? 225 00:29:10,000 --> 00:29:15,000 Yeah, because that's Vince McMahon. Vince would do that a year, a year before. 226 00:29:15,000 --> 00:29:22,000 Well, you need a rough idea, right? Yeah. I mean, Vince would have kind of made, am I in obviously injuries, effects, stuff, contracts, things like that. 227 00:29:22,000 --> 00:29:31,000 But I mean, it was, I think we learned from last year, the crowd can definitely change the direction of the show and made it better. 228 00:29:31,000 --> 00:29:35,000 Not the crowd itself. WWE adapters the crowd and made it better. 229 00:29:35,000 --> 00:29:38,000 Like that was such a fun WrestleMania build last year. 230 00:29:38,000 --> 00:29:43,000 But they, we saw that at WrestleMania 30. I mean, it was not, but Daniel Bryan was not supposed to be. 231 00:29:43,000 --> 00:29:53,000 Well, that's because punk walked out. Yeah, but that was, I mean, the crowd also kind of forces Hank is, we got Batista still won the rumble that year. 232 00:29:53,000 --> 00:29:56,000 So, but he used to be in that title shot picture. 233 00:29:56,000 --> 00:30:03,000 But you know, at 30 and 31, WWE was trying to push their agenda there. 234 00:30:03,000 --> 00:30:09,000 They wanted, didn't they want Randy Orton or no, they want to Batista to walk out of WrestleMania 30 with the title, right? 235 00:30:09,000 --> 00:30:16,000 Yeah, because remember it was Orton and Batista was the main, the main thing, was that the one that Ray came in at number 30 and he got booed? 236 00:30:16,000 --> 00:30:20,000 Yes. And the first time Ray Mysterio got booed in his career. 237 00:30:20,000 --> 00:30:26,000 Yeah, so I mean, because the crowd wanted Daniel Bryan, but he had wrestled earlier in the show and they didn't put him in the match. 238 00:30:26,000 --> 00:30:30,000 And then Batista won and everyone's like, we're getting Orton and Batista WrestleMania. 239 00:30:30,000 --> 00:30:44,000 I feel like they, okay, put the thing with 30 and 31, even with the decision with Ronald, which is funny because Ronald just did an interview recently where he talked about WrestleMania 31 and how he helped push doing the cash in in that match with Lesnar and Reigns. 240 00:30:44,000 --> 00:30:56,000 I think WWE reluctantly made those decisions at 30 and 31 and they got two of the best moments in WrestleMania history for it with YSL, Mania with Daniel Bryan. 241 00:30:56,000 --> 00:31:06,000 I don't think last year, and this is the difference in the creative teams that I like, is that WWE didn't reluctantly make those changes. 242 00:31:06,000 --> 00:31:11,000 They made those changes because they were listening to the crowd and they were like, we have to adjust. We have got to adapt to this. 243 00:31:11,000 --> 00:31:18,000 And they collectively made the decision. I'm sure there were different voices in there saying what they should do here and how they should get there and all this stuff. 244 00:31:18,000 --> 00:31:26,000 But they collectively decided this isn't working, we've got to do something better for the next eight weeks of programming and that's what I liked about the difference in the creative. 245 00:31:26,000 --> 00:31:33,000 So I think there's a working plan. It's just a matter of whether or not that's the executed plan on Easter weekend. 246 00:31:33,000 --> 00:31:42,000 Well, what's the else in wrestling? They always say whoever has the pen has the power because you put stuff in pencil because it can be a race. 247 00:31:42,000 --> 00:31:52,000 So the triple is to say, I have the WrestleMania main event penciled in because that can be a race. It's not in pen, it's not permanent yet. It can be adjusted. 248 00:31:52,000 --> 00:32:00,000 But for me, here's the thing, how many years have we been talking about Roman and Rocket WrestleMania? Four years, five years now? 249 00:32:00,000 --> 00:32:03,000 I don't know if there was ever a time to do it, it's right now. 250 00:32:03,000 --> 00:32:12,000 We're only going to have so many options to pull the trigger on that match. It's like I can't really get in the ring anymore. 251 00:32:12,000 --> 00:32:32,000 I think Rock is committed when he can to do WrestleMania builds because I thought WWE did the right thing where they left Rock after WrestleMania with the whole Rock giving a podium gift and basically laying down the groundwork that this could be the working match for WrestleMania 41. 252 00:32:32,000 --> 00:32:50,000 And Reigns and him could be down the line like I would be totally fine with going Rock and Cody prior to Raw on Netflix and doing Roman and Rock coming out of 41, going into 42, coming off of all the heels of the stuff that they just do with the new bloodline. 253 00:32:50,000 --> 00:33:07,000 I think based on promos and involvement in angles, I think Rock and Roman is more likely for WrestleMania 41 than Rock and Cody because why the hell in the world would the final boss be sitting the ring, 254 00:33:07,000 --> 00:33:17,000 and then he had to have a tie and Cody Rhodes after he shit all over him, Cody Crybaby is the whole nine yards. That's what I didn't like. I love Rock, Rock is an all time favorite of mine. 255 00:33:17,000 --> 00:33:29,000 But what I learned about the Rock on Monday and Tuesday this week on NXT is that when he doesn't have a direction of where his character is going and he's just kind of there to jazz up the crowd, 256 00:33:29,000 --> 00:33:41,000 get a little bit of pop of viewership, get some eyes on the product and go back and revert to his normal natural self, the non final boss character, not as good as the current final boss character. 257 00:33:41,000 --> 00:33:52,000 Like him giving love to Cody and then acknowledging on Tuesday's NXT and really legitimately having no idea what to say in the ring and NXT until the very end like he saved it the last 90 seconds. 258 00:33:52,000 --> 00:34:02,000 I don't know if you saw Dr. Trey, but that promo was like, I'm like scratching my arm being like, what is he doing? Like this is the Rock, he had no fucking clue what to say. 259 00:34:02,000 --> 00:34:10,000 Yeah, and that was kind of the direction I felt like on Netflix as well. Maybe he had some things he wanted to hit, but why are you showing love to Cody Rhodes? 260 00:34:10,000 --> 00:34:20,000 Please give me something of the final boss character because we were boonious fans, but every single fan loved you when you were rockin the final boss headed in the WrestleMania 40. 261 00:34:20,000 --> 00:34:24,000 That's because that wasn't final boss rock, that was board of directors rock. 262 00:34:24,000 --> 00:34:26,000 But that was old school rock, right? 263 00:34:26,000 --> 00:34:33,000 Well, that was him out there the Monday night. That was him showing love to the Netflix executives in the arena. 264 00:34:33,000 --> 00:34:35,000 Like I mean seriously, like. 265 00:34:35,000 --> 00:34:39,000 That's true, I see what you meant. Yes, that was board director rock. 266 00:34:39,000 --> 00:34:47,000 Yeah, and that's in that to me is like, okay, if I need to pop the viewership, I mean who can we call to make sure the ratings are as high as they're going to get? 267 00:34:47,000 --> 00:34:52,000 Because obviously Netflix wants as high of a, you know, a high of a rating they can get. 268 00:34:52,000 --> 00:34:59,000 You know, you still got NXT and then plus, you know, his daughter is on NXT, of course, if you're gonna pop in Netflix, you'll see if we can pop the CW ratings too. 269 00:34:59,000 --> 00:35:01,000 Did you see how nervous Ava was? 270 00:35:01,000 --> 00:35:03,000 Oh, yes, she was. 271 00:35:03,000 --> 00:35:04,000 Lord Lufferman. 272 00:35:04,000 --> 00:35:13,000 By the way, this is a little side note, my wife and I were watching Netflix and she's on Facebook and she finds a picture of Batista for his new movie. 273 00:35:13,000 --> 00:35:23,000 I'm looking at the rock and the ring. I'm like, is the rock starting to look like Dave Batista a little bit and is Dave Batista starting to look like CM Punk a little bit? 274 00:35:23,000 --> 00:35:37,000 It's just, I don't know what it was, but like the rock with the little bit of the beard and the sunglasses just reminding me of a little bit of like Hollywood Batista when Batista was doing his final bit of the spotlight Batista, the little bit of the heel run there. 275 00:35:37,000 --> 00:35:47,000 And then Batista's gotten like lost so much size. He's kind of built like CM Punk now and I'm like, wow, like my heroes are turning to turn into my other heroes is kind of weird watching this layout like this. 276 00:35:47,000 --> 00:35:49,000 Yeah, no, yeah, I saw that. 277 00:35:49,000 --> 00:36:01,000 They was definitely more like movie star rock there, but all in all, it was just, it's an interesting episode when it comes to the build for WrestleMania 41. 278 00:36:01,000 --> 00:36:12,000 Is it weird that more, I feel like the next raw is back into its normal site like this almost felt like it did not feel like a raw. 279 00:36:12,000 --> 00:36:17,000 It felt like a tribute to the troops raw or it felt like higher higher than that. 280 00:36:17,000 --> 00:36:25,000 Well, yeah, but I mean, like as far as storyline, like, yeah, it did have some storyline elements to absolutely did I felt like. 281 00:36:25,000 --> 00:36:29,000 Yeah, it just felt different than a guy. 282 00:36:29,000 --> 00:36:41,000 It was a PLA. It felt like a B level PLA in a lot of ways, but I'm more excited about the next raw with the Chad Gable Penta stuff with the ICT. 283 00:36:41,000 --> 00:36:44,000 Oh, so that's where you think they're going? Best luchador? 284 00:36:44,000 --> 00:36:46,000 Yeah, I mean, El Serrero Mieto. 285 00:36:46,000 --> 00:36:52,000 Yeah, I mean, he had a piercing, he knew a guy, he's like a phone call, we already saw Ray was in the building. 286 00:36:52,000 --> 00:36:59,000 And they ran a promo with the thing that said Penta? Yeah, I mean, that's probably like where is going. 287 00:36:59,000 --> 00:37:07,000 But you know, it's just like, I think the next raw will feel more like a Monday night raw where this one felt like a special edition of raw. 288 00:37:07,000 --> 00:37:09,000 I guess it's my best way of putting it. 289 00:37:09,000 --> 00:37:15,000 Well, that's the thing that I wanted to kind of recap it all looking back at raw Netflix, all the WrestleMania 41 card rumors, who you want to refer to see, 290 00:37:15,000 --> 00:37:26,000 Cody at WrestleMania face, blah, blah, blah, because that was all encompassing our on Netflix is of course the first episode is on Netflix is is going to be the biggest the brightest the best. 291 00:37:26,000 --> 00:37:35,000 Where they go from here on Netflix is the most telling thing. And I saw a call from interview with Rob Fee who's on the creative team in WWE. 292 00:37:35,000 --> 00:37:39,000 I think he's involved. He's like the head of character development in WWE. 293 00:37:39,000 --> 00:37:54,000 And he said basically that they are very excited on what they will be bringing to fans each and every week on Netflix like it's going to be a different presentation, a lot of different development, a lot of different things that we've never seen before in WWE. 294 00:37:54,000 --> 00:38:05,000 And that has me excited because I do think being on Netflix, they are jazzed up. They are excited because you really got to work for the viewership now. 295 00:38:05,000 --> 00:38:26,000 You got to get your fans to either get the 699 account with ads or the 1599 account without ads and really go out of their way to watch your one three hour episode of raw once a week, four times a month each and every week like that's you really got to earn it. 296 00:38:26,000 --> 00:38:38,000 I think that they are feeling the competition on how good of a platform Netflix is and how growing of a platform it is. I think that they want to be in rightfully so. 297 00:38:38,000 --> 00:38:59,000 WWE Network changed the game from streaming when you look back at it WWE likes to be trendsetters and this is a live weekly episodic show on a platform that was just known to create their own television shows, be known for movies and now they're doing live content each and every week. 298 00:38:59,000 --> 00:39:14,000 WWE wants to kick the door down so that when they go and they say look at what all these different platforms are doing now when it comes to live television and having their own exclusive shows that WWE were all was the first. 299 00:39:14,000 --> 00:39:20,000 So the first episode you knew it was going to deliver but where they go from here Dr. Tray is going to be the most telling. 300 00:39:20,000 --> 00:39:38,000 Yeah, I mean I've had this conversation a couple people this week like I'm excited because there's no restrictors on Netflix and I don't mean like they're going to go ECW hardcore barbed wire stuff but they still blurbbed up you know they still cover up the cursing. 301 00:39:38,000 --> 00:39:45,000 Yeah because they're still like they're still a they should let it fly I thought well they're still a publicly traded company. 302 00:39:45,000 --> 00:39:50,000 Travis Scott is smoking a blunt on raw. 303 00:39:50,000 --> 00:40:04,000 But it's California so it's legal in that state. It's perfectly fine I guess but you know for me I'm excited like there's no time limit restriction they can go short they can go long it doesn't really matter with that. 304 00:40:04,000 --> 00:40:32,000 They can do a little bit you know they can kind of blur the lines between you know what's you know a pro age appropriate and you know you can walk that balance of your hardcore older fans and your younger fans like they really don't have restriction plus not like all the tie ends with all the different programming they can do with Netflix is more behind the scenes of like they were doing on the network and not so much on peacock peacock. 305 00:40:32,000 --> 00:40:42,000 We had the good little documentaries to like that but you know the right along shows the little side shows the you know like was it a man he rose and Sunday devils little thing they had like they have. 306 00:40:42,000 --> 00:40:44,000 Hell I missed WWE 24. 307 00:40:44,000 --> 00:40:52,000 Yeah like they miss like there's different things that they can do on Netflix that they were kind of hamstrung by with peacock is. 308 00:40:52,000 --> 00:40:55,000 I think they chose not to do that content anymore Dr. Dre. 309 00:40:55,000 --> 00:40:56,000 I'm sorry. 310 00:40:56,000 --> 00:41:00,000 I think I think they did. I think they stopped trying to do that content on there. 311 00:41:00,000 --> 00:41:20,000 Yeah but then when you have triple H come out cut that promo about baby faces and heels and works and shoots it kind of opens up that hey we can go back into that wealth they want to but it just gives them more opportunity for more programming for WWE put to put their people out there on a bigger brand by the way did you say the 1599. 312 00:41:20,000 --> 00:41:28,000 Membership doesn't have ads yeah I got ads and I pay like 17 bucks a month for both of us were you getting ads during raw. 313 00:41:28,000 --> 00:41:33,000 Yeah okay that's that's different I'm talking about like if you put on a Netflix show. 314 00:41:33,000 --> 00:41:54,000 Oh okay I thought you were saying I can get raw without commercials I was like damn I'm better mad so I have that account to no ads because I figured when it would be on demand I didn't want to watch the ads so then when I went back the next day to watch raw on Tuesday morning just to see like what it was doing like if they cut the ads out of it the ads were still in there. 315 00:41:54,000 --> 00:42:12,000 Okay so it was basically like a DVR episode of raw I meant to ask you this when you're talking about when you watch the show because I watched a live so I didn't get this option so when you're on delay so like on peacock it would always if I if I jumped in a PLE late peacock is the worst of all time. 316 00:42:12,000 --> 00:42:20,000 Yeah but it would jump me in in the middle of the PLE yeah where on the network you could always either start from beginning or join live. 317 00:42:20,000 --> 00:42:34,000 They did not they started me from the beginning. I don't know if this is like this for everyone else quite yet I guess we'll have to see over the coming weeks but obviously I could fast forward to live and actually as I was watching live. 318 00:42:34,000 --> 00:42:44,000 The I was about an hour and a half behind and at 11 p.m. Eastern when the show ended which I saw online it was supposed to go three and a half hours it ended like three minutes after 11. 319 00:42:44,000 --> 00:42:55,000 I a little blurred popped up that said the live show has ended. Oh okay so you weren't that far really behind them by time you caught up because you're going through the commercial and okay. 320 00:42:55,000 --> 00:42:58,000 That's probably like an hour behind by the time the show ended. 321 00:42:58,000 --> 00:43:10,000 That was one thing I used to love about the about the network is depending because there are sometimes in the in the magma era that there were some matches in the PLE's I just didn't really want to watch like I kind of skipped through them. 322 00:43:10,000 --> 00:43:22,000 It just catch like a little bit of it so but you know peacock you could not start from the getting of a PLE you had to jump in live and then when it was over wait for them to get the replay up to go back to watch. 323 00:43:22,000 --> 00:43:38,000 Yeah maybe what you miss so peacock drives me not so if I get I do not watch most PLE's live start to finish I usually come in the middle and when I log on the PLE on peacock it takes me forever to go back to the start of the show. 324 00:43:38,000 --> 00:43:47,000 Yeah it was it's that's the one thing about one of the it's one of the biggest things I'm happy about because at least Netflix knows how to stream and peacock at no clue. 325 00:43:47,000 --> 00:43:54,000 Unless we strike a big and peacock wants to do an ad on this podcast somewhere down the future I hope WEEZ off peacock. 326 00:43:54,000 --> 00:44:03,000 Yeah and I'm still waiting so by the way I forgot to ask you because I haven't asked you this we haven't really talked about this have happened we've been on vacation. 327 00:44:03,000 --> 00:44:08,000 Have you gone through Netflix to see how much of WEE content is on Netflix yet? 328 00:44:08,000 --> 00:44:18,000 I've seen a little bit here and there it's some episodes of raw right but it's like they have the best of raw episodes. 329 00:44:18,000 --> 00:44:26,000 I think there was like a raw vault show on there but it's I don't think it's too much right. 330 00:44:26,000 --> 00:44:36,000 Yeah because AEW I mean max I mean I don't think we're going to say max has more AEW content up than Netflix does WW content right now. 331 00:44:36,000 --> 00:44:39,000 Well yeah they're the first year off right 2019. 332 00:44:39,000 --> 00:44:42,000 Yeah but they're still missing some other stuff. 333 00:44:42,000 --> 00:44:52,000 Yeah but that's the one thing I'm hoping with Netflix is that we end up getting its own WEE channel and it's a little more like the network where you can go watch some of the other stuff. 334 00:44:52,000 --> 00:45:11,000 Like that was the thing I missed most about the network was the ease of navigation through all the history of not just WEE but all the other territories they bought content to and all that stuff where the peacock version of it was just just a horrid I just I could not stand it. 335 00:45:11,000 --> 00:45:17,000 The worst thing in the world is when WWE Network the platform itself phased into peacock. 336 00:45:17,000 --> 00:45:32,000 Yeah it was it was it was I mean I missed the old WWE streaming platform because you could watch old episodes so far on you can see it from 93 to present and you can see how many episodes were in there same thing with Nitro thunder if you wanted to 337 00:45:32,000 --> 00:45:56,000 like for a period of time when I had a lot more time in my life I would watch like 1997 wrestling and I would watch that weeks raw that weeks Nitro that weeks Smackdown that weeks thunder and then I would watch the WCW pay-per-view and I loved it I was like man this was I mean obviously I saw all this stuff back in the day but it was like a nice refresh to check it all out. 338 00:45:56,000 --> 00:46:25,000 I did the same thing with ECW because the early days of ECW weren't on TV in my area so that's how I found out the Sandman was a surfer I did not know that I didn't ever knew the backs were the Sandman and I'm like what in the hell is this guy with a freaking full-size surf board they're like it's the Sandman and I'm like oh my God no no what are you changing gimmicks this was like basically the dynamic dude just at surf board giving I was like but I could watch ECW straight through and then jumped in the back. 339 00:46:25,000 --> 00:46:43,000 And then jumped to a pay-per-view then jump back into TV and watch that chronologically where with peacock you could never nothing ever line up chronologically very well like you're always hunting and trying it was like digging through Wikipedia to try to find stuff at times it was just it was just really really bad. 340 00:46:43,000 --> 00:46:54,000 Yeah we can do an episode of how much I missed W.W. Network speaking of jams around the W.W. Network one being NXT that's where the love of the old black and gold brand took place. 341 00:46:54,000 --> 00:47:07,000 But we did have NXT New Year's evil this past Tuesday in the CW Network which was another PLE type show they nearly had a million viewers tune into NXT this past week a little about mid-900,000s I saw. 342 00:47:07,000 --> 00:47:23,000 The big news coming out one Dr. Trey Obafemi is the new NXT World Champion Julia is the new NXT Women's Champion has here in the early beginning was this a message sent by NXT to wrestling fans at the feeling has been restored that we have been missing for quite some time. 343 00:47:23,000 --> 00:47:28,000 Can we expect this to be a huge year for NXT in 2025 now? 344 00:47:28,000 --> 00:47:34,000 I'm hoping for I think though I think once again the women's division is going to carry NXT for most of the year. 345 00:47:34,000 --> 00:47:52,000 Obafemi being on top is great because I think he's trying to find a good comparison for him because the fans you're supposed to boom but because he's so destructive and so powerful and such a freak athlete you kind of cheer him because he's just like he's like a legit badass. 346 00:47:52,000 --> 00:48:04,000 It's a little bit of I hate saying Goldberg comparisons but he's in that Brock comparison where he's just such a badass it's hard to boo him. 347 00:48:04,000 --> 00:48:16,000 I think with the men's division you still got to build up the next baby face challenger that can physically look like he matches up or just is so scrappy that you can overcome all the obstacles. 348 00:48:16,000 --> 00:48:24,000 I don't think they have that guy yet but I do think that hey they're showcased in their talents or showcased in their abilities. 349 00:48:24,000 --> 00:48:31,000 I think the depth of NXT is really strong I think by the end of the year that men's division be built up pretty well. 350 00:48:31,000 --> 00:48:36,000 And hopefully it's high team division because right now it still feels like Nathan Frazier and Axiom and everybody else. 351 00:48:36,000 --> 00:48:50,000 Yeah no it's definitely a very very promising year for NXT right now and I thought they sent a massive message on Tuesday's edition the show by putting the title on Opa Femme and Julia to start the year. 352 00:48:50,000 --> 00:49:01,000 So I'm excited for NXT and there are an upward trajectory and that's a very very exciting time to be a rousing fan and to be a fan of NXT because we've been waiting for it for some time. 353 00:49:01,000 --> 00:49:14,000 We started to see it build again in 2023 really start to ramp up in 2024 and now 2025 is the year to capitalize for the Black and now Silver Brand in World Wrestling Entertainment. 354 00:49:14,000 --> 00:49:27,000 Lastly Dr. Trey we're always looking through the the forest here to get through the trees and hope for the best in brighter days and that has been one when it comes to all lead wrestling AEW. 355 00:49:27,000 --> 00:49:36,000 We've been very down on AEW as of late we did see the return of the cleaner Kenny Omega on Wednesday's edition of Dynamite. 356 00:49:36,000 --> 00:49:44,000 Can Kenny Omega's return help catapult AEW back to the good graces of fans like you and I who may be soured on the product right now. 357 00:49:44,000 --> 00:49:48,000 Yeah I mean but once again I think it still comes down to how do you put the show together. 358 00:49:48,000 --> 00:50:17,000 I don't think we've ever said AEW lacks talent in getting Kenny back is just adding to that talent I think it still comes down to storytelling and booking more than anything else and I saw a little bit of that on Dynamite this week where I'm watching the booking and I'm like really that's the direction we're going with this or that's what we're doing like there's still some questionable choices but getting a guy like Kenny Omega back into the mix full time with his leadership of the company. 359 00:50:17,000 --> 00:50:30,000 Everything else I think is great for the brand it's one thing to be a leader when you're in the building it's nothing to be a leader when you're not in the building I think you know Kenny's time off recovering from his injuries not being around. 360 00:50:30,000 --> 00:50:37,000 Kind of left the ship without a rudder and hopefully Kenny being back he restores a little bit of balance into it. 361 00:50:37,000 --> 00:50:50,000 You know with eight of you going for his you know his his thing was always the women's division the women's vision was always pretty well booked can you be in back around hopefully that lands a little bit stability to the booking of AEW going forward. 362 00:50:50,000 --> 00:51:02,000 That's right before we close up shop on this week's the show obviously we were running the holiday programming schedule the last three weeks we've been talking about anything that been current in professional wrestling the moment. 363 00:51:02,000 --> 00:51:16,000 Thoughts on the last three weeks of wrestling that we missed did you tune into AEW world's end did you check out any professional wrestling or did you actually just come tune out and enjoy family time or just time to decompress a little bit as the new year opened and closed. 364 00:51:16,000 --> 00:51:27,000 Yeah with W to be I think I like everything was kind of just getting to Netflix so I mean I would kind of check out highlights check out things here and there but I wasn't heavily invested over the last couple weeks. 365 00:51:27,000 --> 00:51:37,000 It was more about just spending time with the family in the in the kids anything else because as you'll soon learn once your kids are back in school like you feel like sometimes you don't really see them anymore. 366 00:51:37,000 --> 00:51:53,000 Especially if you're working your wife's working the kids are in schools like you have very limited time together so the Christmas break was basically that I was trying to check out AEW as much as possible just because I want to see if there was any growth and any improvement even like wall W to be was kind of. 367 00:51:53,000 --> 00:52:06,000 You know cycling down getting ready for Netflix if a W could pick it up so yeah there was there's still quite a bit of wrestling content but maybe not as much as when we're in full blown regular programming mode. 368 00:52:06,000 --> 00:52:22,000 Yeah I mean I tune into WWE regularly like I did love the hammer sign shows in a W I thought that was a great venue for them did not watch AW's world's end I'm
