IndyCar drivers hit the streets of Washington for the Freedom 250, a brand-new track built for the nation’s 250th birthday — and it’s anything but smooth. Alex Palou, leading the points, calls it “super fun but definitely bumpy,” especially around turns two and six, which are turning into signature challenges. With only seven left-hand turns and plenty of room to pass, Palou sees this as a high-octane opportunity for overtakes — unlike tighter tracks like Detroit where blocking is easier.
