- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's Alex Garrett and before we get to our
- 0:02Speaker 1: very special guests on the one leg Up on Sports,
- 0:05Speaker 1: just want to let you know here in these parts
- 0:07Speaker 1: it's Fanatics Friday and that means another deal. You know,

- 0:16Speaker 1: does Fanatics have a deal for you thanks to the

- 0:26Speaker 1: my link, yours truly and this network does make a commission.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Here's your host, Alex Garrett.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Terminello's take. I had to do it once again, and
- 0:41Speaker 1: of course thanks to Fanatics for being an affiliate partner
- 0:44Speaker 1: of the show and lou what away for Fanatics Friday
- 0:48Speaker 1: yesterday with Jay Paterno. I mean, come on, that was
- 0:52Speaker 1: such a wealth of college football knowledge from a legendary
- 0:55Speaker 1: family right.
- 0:56Speaker 3: There, Alex, thanks for having me again as we all ways, Uh,
- 1:01Speaker 3: it was a tremendous interview. I enjoyed it. You were tremendous.
- 1:05Speaker 3: It was you got you and and Jay had great chemistry.
- 1:08Speaker 3: There was a great, great pace of the interview and
- 1:10Speaker 3: anybody who wants to talk about the state of college
- 1:13Speaker 3: football today, even going back to uh some Penn State
- 1:16Speaker 3: Joe Paterno history. Uh, it was. It's it's definitely worth
- 1:21Speaker 3: worth listening to. So anybody out there I would listen
- 1:24Speaker 3: to that. That interview between you and j Perturnal it
- 1:28Speaker 3: was excellent.
- 1:30Speaker 1: And hopefully we have one as the Nitney lines run continues.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Penn State has an edge. I told with him, yes, Sir,
- 1:36Speaker 1: Drew Aller, and you know they're they're tight end as well.
- 1:40Speaker 1: They should win today. I mean that's why they played
- 1:42Speaker 1: the game.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Though SMU is a threat. They have good speed, they
- 1:45Speaker 3: have good athletes. Uh, they've They've done a spectacular job
- 1:50Speaker 3: in their first year in the powerful conference, going undefeated
- 1:53Speaker 3: the regular season in the ACC.
- 1:55Speaker 2: They have good team speed.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Jennings their quarterback, who did not have a good first
- 1:59Speaker 3: half again and Clemson the ACC championship game but bounced
- 2:03Speaker 3: back in the second half, is somebody to be worried about.
- 2:06Speaker 3: That being said, Penn State has a deeper roster. Penn
- 2:10Speaker 3: State has probably the more talented roster. They'll be playing
- 2:14Speaker 3: in Happy Valley and will probably be about twenty five degrees.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Southern Methodist plays out of Dallas, so they're not used
- 2:21Speaker 3: to this type of weather, so it'll it'll be an
- 2:25Speaker 3: interesting game. I think out of all the the road games,
- 2:32Speaker 3: this would probably be the second road team that I
- 2:35Speaker 3: think would have a chance to win, you know, after
- 2:38Speaker 3: Tennessee and Ohio State tonight, but Penn State should advance
- 2:43Speaker 3: to the Fiesta Ball against both Boise State and as
- 2:47Speaker 3: we said last week, you know, I really think the
- 2:50Speaker 3: lower care for the bracket is where you want to be.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Notre Dame obviously advancing last night with an emphatic win
- 2:59Speaker 3: this school are The closeness of this final score does
- 3:02Speaker 3: not indicate how well Notre Dame was in control of
- 3:06Speaker 3: that game, But being in the lower half of that bracket,
- 3:10Speaker 3: especially at Carson Beck, it seems like he's going to
- 3:13Speaker 3: be out for the entire playoff. I think Notre Dame
- 3:16Speaker 3: had a great chance to beat Georgia even if Beck
- 3:18Speaker 3: was healthy. I think it's gonna be a low scoring game,
- 3:22Speaker 3: and the Penn State and Boise State game is going
- 3:25Speaker 3: to be a little bit interesting in the Fiesta Bole
- 3:28Speaker 3: because I think it's gonna be points scored in that game.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But again, Penn State has to win today. Obviously, I
- 3:32Speaker 3: think they will. But SMU has done a great job
- 3:36Speaker 3: this year in elevating from a group of five program
- 3:42Speaker 3: to a power conference like the ACC.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, Lou, we talked about coaches and quarterback combos
- 3:49Speaker 1: and I've watched and Gaby and I have watched Penn State,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and the Alan Franklin duo is great. I mean, I
- 3:56Speaker 1: remember back in the Minnesota game, Franklin sort of yelled
- 3:59Speaker 1: on and then came back and you know, encourage them
- 4:02Speaker 1: a couple of minutes later. But they have a good
- 4:04Speaker 1: combination and I think that's why Penn State's where they
- 4:06Speaker 1: are right now today.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Well, if you want to talk about coaches, the coaches
- 4:12Speaker 3: with the most pressure on them in this first round
- 4:14Speaker 3: and probably even throughout the College Playoff are going to
- 4:18Speaker 3: be Ryan Day of Ohio State and James Franklin of
- 4:22Speaker 3: Penn State. I mean, James Franklin's a lot of his
- 4:25Speaker 3: in game decisions have been questioned. He's one in fourteen
- 4:30Speaker 3: against top ten teams in his tenure.
- 4:34Speaker 2: At Penn State.
- 4:35Speaker 3: So he's been successful to a point, but hasn't gotten
- 4:38Speaker 3: him over the hume. Just like Ryan Day, hasn't against Michigan,
- 4:42Speaker 3: being one in four against Michigan, so that the pressure
- 4:46Speaker 3: is on these guys, Alex, They're going to feel it
- 4:49Speaker 3: tonight if it's a close game and there's a key decision,
- 4:52Speaker 3: do I go for it?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Do I kick a field goal?
- 4:55Speaker 3: Do I punt a play call that may not be effective,
- 5:02Speaker 3: that may happen. Yeah, these guys are gonna be under
- 5:04Speaker 3: the pressure pressure tonight. I think Ryan Days under more
- 5:08Speaker 3: pressure because the Ohio media that follows Ohio State really
- 5:16Speaker 3: could be really just relentless, well unforgiving.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I'm looking at the river that that downtown Columbus has.
- 5:28Speaker 1: You know, Tennessee bands want to put it in the
- 5:29Speaker 1: Shoto River. I think that's how you say it, which
- 5:32Speaker 1: is in Columbus downtown. So maybe maybe a gopals would
- 5:35Speaker 1: be in the river for Tennessee tonight. I'm hoping so
- 5:38Speaker 1: as someone who is also a fan of Michigan. Man,
- 5:41Speaker 1: there are a few teams out there I follow now
- 5:43Speaker 1: I think of it. But let me talk about last night.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You mentioned the score about Notre Dame, but Riley Leonard
- 5:49Speaker 1: and Riley we trust. I was saying it all night
- 5:52Speaker 1: because the kid can run the kid can pass and
- 5:55Speaker 1: they blew the doors off Indiana last night. I know
- 5:58Speaker 1: the scores twenty seven to seventeen, but last I saw
- 6:01Speaker 1: it was twenty seven three or something like that. I mean,
- 6:04Speaker 1: Riley Leonard owned the night. Notre Dame owned the night.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And you talk about a coach, I'm really proud of
- 6:10Speaker 1: Marcus Freeman. Took the really escaping of Brian Kelly and
- 6:17Speaker 1: turned it into something amazing with this program. I mean,
- 6:20Speaker 1: Kelly left him in the dust. Freeman had to pick
- 6:22Speaker 1: up the pieces and now he's got them a couple
- 6:25Speaker 1: of games away from the final again. You know, it's
- 6:28Speaker 1: just it's amazing. When he's done. I'm really proud of
- 6:30Speaker 1: that guy. That head coach.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Well, Marcus Freeman has done a great job obviously, you
- 6:35Speaker 3: know the surprising departure of Brian Kelly a couple of
- 6:39Speaker 3: years ago, and he's done an amazing job. After Game
- 6:43Speaker 3: two where they were, you know, thirty point favorites and
- 6:46Speaker 3: lost that home to Northern Illinois and they haven't lost since.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Is this an all time Notre Dame team?
- 6:53Speaker 2: It is not.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Is this a team that could win the national Championship?
- 6:56Speaker 3: I think it is. And you know I've been on.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I've been on them for a while now as they
- 7:01Speaker 3: progressed store in the second half of the season. I mean,
- 7:03Speaker 3: I think they have a great shot to get to
- 7:07Speaker 3: the final and probably I think Oregon will probably get there.
- 7:12Speaker 3: They have a great shot. They're physical, like we said,
- 7:15Speaker 3: they they run the ball last night, even after the
- 7:18Speaker 3: ninety eight yard run by Jeremiah Love, they only ran
- 7:21Speaker 3: for ninety five more so, you know, and Indiana has
- 7:25Speaker 3: has done a spectacular job. I mean, they had won
- 7:27Speaker 3: They won eleven games this year, and which was more
- 7:30Speaker 3: than they won the last three years combined. They have
- 7:33Speaker 3: the most losses in the history of the NCAA. In
- 7:38Speaker 3: the history of the NCAA as far as losses go,
- 7:40Speaker 3: they have small games than anybody.
- 7:43Speaker 2: So what.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Sinnetti has done with them in his first year as
- 7:47Speaker 3: coaches is beyond remarkable. But Notre Dame was physical they
- 7:53Speaker 3: I think that's what's gonna happen right throughout these playoffs.
- 7:57Speaker 3: The Notre Dame Georgia game, I think is going to
- 8:01Speaker 3: be a knockdown, drag out of fair of physicality. I
- 8:07Speaker 3: think it's gonna be a low scoring game. I think
- 8:08Speaker 3: it's gonna be a thirteen to ten game. Again, we
- 8:11Speaker 3: don't know for sure. It doesn't look like Carson Beck
- 8:15Speaker 3: is gonna play at all in the playoffs. Gunners, you
- 8:19Speaker 3: know Stockton, I mean, he's an experience. I cannot see.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I cannot see Notre Dame losing. But I think the
- 8:27Speaker 3: game is going.
- 8:27Speaker 2: To be tight. But we'll see. It's still a ten
- 8:30Speaker 2: days away.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I really, as I said, I really, I really like
- 8:34Speaker 3: Notre Dame right now.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I really do in that bottom half of the bracket.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It's so funny. I was wearing my Irish shirt and
- 8:40Speaker 1: I happened to meet one of Arthur I Dallas essocialates
- 8:43Speaker 1: last night at his party. And his nephew is Stockton,
- 8:46Speaker 1: starting against starting against Notre Dame next week. How funny
- 8:50Speaker 1: is that? So I met his uncle last night.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Well that is funny now, one guy I really wanted
- 8:55Speaker 3: an unsung hero for Notre Dame Jordan's court. Seven balls
- 9:01Speaker 3: for eighty nine yards last night. He had the big
- 9:03Speaker 3: second half kickoff return. And he was also an outstanding
- 9:06Speaker 3: midfielder on their national championship team that won the national
- 9:11Speaker 3: championship back in back in May, and he walked on
- 9:15Speaker 3: the middle last year he won he won the MVP
- 9:21Speaker 3: and Sun Bowl last year, and that that that kid
- 9:24Speaker 3: has been a great under the radar job for coach
- 9:29Speaker 3: Freeman and Notre Dame. No Dame has something going, they
- 9:32Speaker 3: have something. They have some calmer going for them right now.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So we'll see no And as I said earlier in Riley,
- 9:39Speaker 1: we trust. I mean what a pick. You talk about
- 9:42Speaker 1: the benefits of the transfer portal, Well, Notre Dame has
- 9:44Speaker 1: certainly benefited from this transfer from Duke and it's shown.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I guess after week two people are a little worried,
- 9:51Speaker 1: but he's really shown his He's earned a shamrocks if
- 9:54Speaker 1: you if you ask me, I agree, Well, what else
- 9:58Speaker 1: is on your mind this week? Because obviously we haven't
- 10:01Speaker 1: even covered the NFL because locally it's not good. I
- 10:05Speaker 1: am happy for Denver and Sean Payton because you know,
- 10:08Speaker 1: bow Knicks struggled a little bit in the beginning of
- 10:10Speaker 1: the season, but look at him. He is in the
- 10:12Speaker 1: running for offense, you know, Rookie of the Year.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Am I right, Absolutely no doubt about it.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I mean, after his first four weeks, bow Knicks you know,
- 10:23Speaker 3: looked like a look like a rookie and looked like
- 10:25Speaker 3: he had a long way to go, and he did.
- 10:26Speaker 2: But he's closed the gap so so much. He's uh,
- 10:31Speaker 2: I think he's terrific.
- 10:33Speaker 3: And uh, I think it's it's gonna be either him
- 10:36Speaker 3: or Jayden Daniels for the offensive Rookie of the Year
- 10:39Speaker 3: in the in the NFL. So we're gonna have to
- 10:41Speaker 3: wait and see how the last four weeks play out.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I never thought Denver would be in the position that
- 10:45Speaker 3: they're in, but that's uh, you know, that is obviously
- 10:49Speaker 3: a credit to to Sean Payton.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Uh.
- 10:52Speaker 2: They've they've done They've done it. They've done a terrific job.
- 10:55Speaker 3: But uh, tomorrow we're going to see maybe a change
- 11:00Speaker 3: of the guard, probably for good. And when Michael Pennix
- 11:03Speaker 3: starts for Atlanta, and you remember everybody was on Atlanta
- 11:08Speaker 3: and criticizing them for drafting Michael Pennock's eighth overall even
- 11:13Speaker 3: though he had already signed Kirk Cousins, who's coming off
- 11:17Speaker 3: that terrible injury that achilles tendentire And obviously it has
- 11:24Speaker 3: not been a good year for Cousins physically. It looks
- 11:27Speaker 3: like he might have lost some of his arm strength.
- 11:30Speaker 3: He's definitely hesitant. He's had some good games. I mean
- 11:33Speaker 3: five for five hundred yards in the game earlier this year.
- 11:36Speaker 3: But a report ESPN Adam Schetter reporting that the Falcons
- 11:42Speaker 3: are going to cut him by March seventeenth so that
- 11:46Speaker 3: he doesn't get his tenth ten million dollar roster bonus.
- 11:50Speaker 3: So he will probably be a free agent again, and
- 11:53Speaker 3: if somebody's looking for a quarterback, I don't know if
- 11:55Speaker 3: he's done next year, he'll have a year recovery from
- 12:00Speaker 3: the from the Achilles, so we'll be here further down
- 12:05Speaker 3: in recovery. And you know, you can get them like
- 12:09Speaker 3: like a little bit, and I don't know how exactly
- 12:12Speaker 3: if they line up, just like how the Steelers got
- 12:14Speaker 3: Russell Wilson. They got them basically for minimum money, and
- 12:18Speaker 3: you know, the Falcons would would have to pay the
- 12:20Speaker 3: difference of somebody signs cousins. And in the league, as
- 12:23Speaker 3: we talk about every week, where quarterbacks are at a premium,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I assume he will be on somebody else's roster next year.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So they paid him ninety million dollars for fourteen games. Alex.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Pretty good, that's pretty that's a pretty good job if
- 12:40Speaker 3: you can get it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I know, and I'll tell you I made this joke
- 12:45Speaker 1: to a few of my friends, I said, you know,
- 12:49Speaker 1: Pendix was supposedly mentored by Cousins, but he learned how
- 12:52Speaker 1: to be bench or how not to get Like. It's
- 12:54Speaker 1: just kind of weird how he was supposed to be
- 12:56Speaker 1: a mentor now he's filling in. But that's the NFL.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Well, and I also think, let's face Achilles tendon injuries,
- 13:04Speaker 3: they're really hard to come back from. And uh, he
- 13:08Speaker 3: got he suffered that Achilles tendon injury like at the
- 13:12Speaker 3: end of November. So it's just been about a year.
- 13:15Speaker 3: And uh, you know we've seen what we've seen it
- 13:18Speaker 3: with Rogers. Obviously his Achilles tendon injury set him back.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I mean, it's just even with modern medicine, it's just
- 13:30Speaker 3: a really tough injury to come back from.
- 13:33Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 13:34Speaker 3: But Kirk Cousins will be in the NFL next year
- 13:38Speaker 3: on a quarterback needy team, and we know there's a
- 13:40Speaker 3: lot of them.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Well one could be the Jets if things are as
- 13:45Speaker 1: reports say. I don't even know if I believe them.
- 13:48Speaker 1: With Rogers coming back or.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Well, in my opinion, if it's going to be between
- 13:56Speaker 3: Rogers and Cousins, I'm taking Rogers. I mean to me,
- 14:02Speaker 3: it wouldn't even I would I wouldn't even have to
- 14:04Speaker 3: think twice.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I wouldn't either. You don't think then he You don't
- 14:07Speaker 1: think he's gonna do the far reincarnation totally. Then you
- 14:12Speaker 1: don't think he's gonna up to Minnesota like, oh.
- 14:14Speaker 2: No, Alex, I think he could. It depends on what
- 14:16Speaker 2: the Jets do.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I think it's in the Jets hands, and it's in
- 14:20Speaker 3: I mean, let's face they're not. They're going to hire
- 14:21Speaker 3: a new coach and new general manager and it's gonna
- 14:24Speaker 3: be what those guys want to do. And uh, yes,
- 14:27Speaker 3: held it could be. You gotta remember fov was a
- 14:30Speaker 3: free agent, so there was no cap pick for the Jets.
- 14:35Speaker 3: There'll be a cap hits for the Jets no matter
- 14:36Speaker 3: what Rogers does, So we'll have to wait and see.
- 14:42Speaker 3: But I could see that. Yeah, No, I could see
- 14:43Speaker 3: him playing somewhere next year. I mean, I'll throw out
- 14:46Speaker 3: a team where I think that he would probably fit
- 14:48Speaker 3: in Pittsburgh. If Pittsburgh gonna continue to go with the
- 14:52Speaker 3: with Russell Wilson, I don't know. I mean, let's face it,
- 14:56Speaker 3: Pittsburgh is offensively challenged for.
- 14:59Speaker 2: The most part, so we'll see.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know, or Rogers might say, you
- 15:04Speaker 3: know what, I played twenty one years, I'm done, But
- 15:09Speaker 3: it's I would It's not gonna be Kirk Cousins. I
- 15:13Speaker 3: just not. If it comes down to the two of them,
- 15:16Speaker 3: that's for sure. It won't be Kirk Cousins.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Well, you know the Vikings. And I've said this too,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I think that the worst nightmare for Giants and Jet
- 15:26Speaker 1: fans would be that the Vikings are in the Super
- 15:29Speaker 1: Bowl with two x quarterbacks of New York And that
- 15:32Speaker 1: would be something else of Darnold and Jones, you know,
- 15:36Speaker 1: as a as A QB one QB two made it
- 15:39Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. With the Vikings, it could happen though,
- 15:42Speaker 1: because they are a threat right now across the NFL
- 15:45Speaker 1: as much as the Lions. I think the Lions are better,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but I feel like the Vikings are there in the running.
- 15:52Speaker 3: One.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Well, this is the problem with the lines right now.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Obviously, their offenses spectacular, but they have lost so many
- 16:00Speaker 3: guys Alex defensively, they have lost starters. They have lost
- 16:04Speaker 3: backups to those starters they watch.
- 16:08Speaker 1: When Aiden Hutchinson went down with the horrible injury to
- 16:12Speaker 1: end this season, it just looked awful.
- 16:15Speaker 3: They've lost Hutchinson, they lost Alex and Zeone, They've lost cornerbacks,
- 16:20Speaker 3: they've lost safeties. They lost three more guys last week
- 16:23Speaker 3: and they lost to Buffalo. Their offense is prolific and healthy,
- 16:29Speaker 3: but fifty two percent of the defensive starters and backups
- 16:33Speaker 3: are injured. And that's it's hard. That's why you can
- 16:37Speaker 3: never look way ahead in the NFL. It's week to week.
- 16:42Speaker 3: So right now, because of their health, and it could
- 16:45Speaker 3: change in two weeks, could change tomorrow. I would have
- 16:50Speaker 3: to say Philadelphia would be the lead, the lead dog
- 16:54Speaker 3: to get to the.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Super Bowl right now in the NFL, just because of health.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And how about that turnaround? Remember last year we were like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: what is Sirianni doing? They kept losing and now they're back,
- 17:05Speaker 1: you know atop the NFC's it's it's that turnaround. And
- 17:09Speaker 1: you know, Saquon is a big part of that. I
- 17:11Speaker 1: realized that. And he's just on a better team with
- 17:14Speaker 1: better protection. I'm gonna just say that right here. He
- 17:17Speaker 1: didn't have the protection with the Giants. Look what he
- 17:19Speaker 1: can do with a great front line.
- 17:22Speaker 3: And they have a great front line. Alex, you are
- 17:24Speaker 3: right their front line. That offensive line is my god,
- 17:28Speaker 3: it's tremendous.
- 17:30Speaker 1: And that's without you know, because I thought Kelsey retired, right,
- 17:33Speaker 1: So that's without Jason Kelsey, a new center.
- 17:35Speaker 2: That's great.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It's just it's still a solid front line for the Eagles.
- 17:40Speaker 2: All right.
- 17:40Speaker 1: You mentioned Buffalo, and last week I had read somewhere
- 17:45Speaker 1: where they were arresting some guys I don't know against
- 17:47Speaker 1: the Lions. I really don't want the Bills that took
- 17:50Speaker 1: there to take their pedal off the medal because they
- 17:52Speaker 1: could get the first seed in this conference. And I
- 17:54Speaker 1: know what they did last year with the first seed,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but give them another chance, like get get that. I
- 18:00Speaker 1: think they know only deserve it. Allan deserves the host
- 18:03Speaker 1: every home game because of his you know, he's m
- 18:05Speaker 1: VP type year. Let's just say that they should not
- 18:09Speaker 1: with their uh, take the put off the pedal, if
- 18:12Speaker 1: you will. They should keep going and get.
- 18:13Speaker 2: That first seed.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I agree with you, Alex, they should. They should keep
- 18:17Speaker 3: the pedal.
- 18:18Speaker 2: To the medal. Uh and uh.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I think that they should try to get that one seed.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I don't know how badly Mahomes is. Patrick Mahons' ankle
- 18:31Speaker 3: injury is apparently he's playing the same afternoon against against Houston,
- 18:37Speaker 3: and then they got to play in four days. You know,
- 18:40Speaker 3: the four teams that playing, they are going to be
- 18:42Speaker 3: switching opponents and playing on Christmas Day. And you heard
- 18:45Speaker 3: DeAndre Hopkins complaining about playing three games in eleven days,
- 18:49Speaker 3: and you've heard me complain about.
- 18:51Speaker 2: That early in the year.
- 18:52Speaker 3: The Jets in their first eight games, eight nine games,
- 18:55Speaker 3: had to play twice, three games in eleven days.
- 18:57Speaker 2: And as DeAndre Hopkins.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Said the other day, the NFL is always talking about
- 19:02Speaker 3: player safety, and then they're having us play three games
- 19:05Speaker 3: in eleven days this late in the season. He's one
- 19:08Speaker 3: n correct And you know, the greedy NFL commissioner, the
- 19:13Speaker 3: greedy NFL owners are just looking to get every last
- 19:17Speaker 3: dollar out of Netflix, Amazon Prime, Peacock, NBCCBS, ABC, Slash, ESPN.
- 19:25Speaker 3: It's unbelievable, it really is. It's unbelievable that that the
- 19:30Speaker 3: Players Association allows them to get away with this kind
- 19:33Speaker 3: of fracture type scheduling that certainly doesn't help player safety.
- 19:39Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. So Pittsburgh plays Baltimore today for thirty
- 19:43Speaker 1: Houston case at one o'clock. Well about Houston is they've had.
- 19:50Speaker 1: You know, I thought it was going to be a
- 19:51Speaker 1: bigger building year with CJ. Stroud, but they've had a
- 19:54Speaker 1: shaky year. Right, it seems like Houston fans are not
- 19:57Speaker 1: happy where they're at. What's your ANALYSI well, then.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Because they should be happy because they clinched the playoffs
- 20:03Speaker 3: spot with four weeks ago with the UH in the season. Yes,
- 20:07Speaker 3: the AFC South is not a great conference, not a
- 20:10Speaker 3: great division.
- 20:11Speaker 2: We know that.
- 20:12Speaker 3: And has UH they taken a little bit of a
- 20:14Speaker 3: step back. Yeah, they were more dynamic last year, but
- 20:17Speaker 3: I think that that they were a good teams Alex
- 20:21Speaker 3: two years ago they were two and fourteen, So you know,
- 20:26Speaker 3: Rome or a championship team isn't built in a season
- 20:29Speaker 3: in the day. Depending on their seating and the and
- 20:33Speaker 3: matchups that they're in, they they could definitely UH win
- 20:37Speaker 3: a couple of games in the UH postseason. Do I
- 20:39Speaker 3: think they'll get to a Super Bowl?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Apps?
- 20:41Speaker 3: I do not, but they fan if the fans, the
- 20:45Speaker 3: fans shouldn't be upset with with the Houston Texas, They're
- 20:48Speaker 3: gonna be good for a long time.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Well, I think CJ. Stroud's the future and I know
- 20:53Speaker 1: he's only been there too year, but he's the future.
- 20:55Speaker 1: He's the now future for that team. Let's switch gears
- 20:59Speaker 1: because you know, I know you want to talk about
- 21:02Speaker 1: this and this week the Rangers have made a few changes,
- 21:07Speaker 1: you know, I mean the Cogo trade surprised me, lou
- 21:12Speaker 1: I thought that he should have gotten more of a
- 21:13Speaker 1: chance to play. But this whole downstair. I remember last
- 21:17Speaker 1: year they went like twelve and twelve during a stretch.
- 21:20Speaker 1: This is the worse of a stretch. I mean, I
- 21:23Speaker 1: think I'd ever say that because the Rangers never have
- 21:26Speaker 1: maybe one game under five hundred stretch at a time.
- 21:29Speaker 1: But this is something that I'm not used to in
- 21:33Speaker 1: the season. I mean, I'm used to them having the swing,
- 21:35Speaker 1: but not like this. Is there just a lost locker
- 21:38Speaker 1: room now, lou Is? Is there? I don't getting the
- 21:42Speaker 1: truber was the answer?
- 21:43Speaker 2: Is jury just.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Trying to financials? What's your take on all this?
- 21:47Speaker 3: Well, the difference between what happened last year leading up
- 21:53Speaker 3: to the All Star Break and this year is last
- 21:57Speaker 3: year that they still had the chemistry. This year it
- 21:59Speaker 3: seemed like the chemistry is is has broken down and
- 22:05Speaker 3: I you know, hey, it's Chris Drewy. He puts the
- 22:07Speaker 3: roster together. It's it's his Uh, it's it's his decision
- 22:10Speaker 3: making on building the roster along with the coach, with
- 22:13Speaker 3: with with uh Peter Lavollette. And they're not gonna get
- 22:17Speaker 3: rid of the Lavolette. If they're doing that, then Drewy
- 22:19Speaker 3: is looking just to protect himself. Uh, obviously that's his decision.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Would make him look bad, but I think he might
- 22:25Speaker 3: be messing around a little bit too much with with
- 22:28Speaker 3: the roster, and not only that by leaking and I
- 22:31Speaker 3: hate to use that term leaking, but by talking about
- 22:34Speaker 3: guys before he got before he got rid of them,
- 22:37Speaker 3: like we talked about. Crier has been on the block allegedly.
- 22:41Speaker 3: I don't know if if that's gonna happen before the
- 22:44Speaker 3: trade deadline, but uh, it seems to be a lot
- 22:49Speaker 3: of tension in that locker room.
- 22:51Speaker 2: And I know they had a.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Meeting with Drury and the players the day before, uh,
- 22:55Speaker 3: yesterday in Dallas, and the Rangers had a nice win
- 22:58Speaker 3: last night thanks to just Durkin, who stopped twenty one
- 23:03Speaker 3: power play shots. Gabby Gaby said, what.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Did you say again?
- 23:08Speaker 3: Was phenomenal?
- 23:10Speaker 2: Yeah, he said he saved them last night.
- 23:12Speaker 3: I mean, uh, and then you know that that was
- 23:15Speaker 3: he's their best player and uh to twenty one power
- 23:19Speaker 3: play shots that he saved the most since nineteen ninety
- 23:22Speaker 3: nine two thousand season in the NHL. So uh again.
- 23:29Speaker 3: But when you see games like last Saturday, that embarrassing
- 23:33Speaker 3: loss at the Garden to the Kings, the five to
- 23:35Speaker 3: one loss, then they lost the next night to Saint
- 23:38Speaker 3: Louis team that that they their roster is better than UH.
- 23:43Speaker 3: And then you know they lost the Predators who are
- 23:45Speaker 3: going through a rebuilding season. And I got Pan Aaron
- 23:50Speaker 3: back last night. You know, he missed a couple of games.
- 23:53Speaker 3: That was that was good. DeAndre Miller is still out,
- 23:57Speaker 3: but he was having a nowhere season. When going back
- 24:01Speaker 3: to Capocaco, I saw him playing junior and I saw
- 24:05Speaker 3: him play in the World Championships, the World Championships, not
- 24:07Speaker 3: the junior World Championships, the World Championships, which include NHL
- 24:11Speaker 3: players and players from other professional leagues around the world.
- 24:14Speaker 3: And he was eighteen years old and he looked like
- 24:17Speaker 3: a man, and he did and he didn't look out
- 24:19Speaker 3: of place playing against NHL players who were twenty five,
- 24:23Speaker 3: twenty six, twenty seven, thirty years old. So I thought
- 24:26Speaker 3: he was going to be a star, and he was
- 24:27Speaker 3: drafted right behind Jack Hughes. Now, obviously Jack Hughes drafted
- 24:31Speaker 3: number one, has established himself and is a much better
- 24:35Speaker 3: player than Capocaco. But at that point it was almost
- 24:40Speaker 3: like a toss up for the most part, because I
- 24:43Speaker 3: really thought Capocaco was going to be a top six
- 24:48Speaker 3: forward and he only had sixty one career goals. So
- 24:53Speaker 3: but the Rangers problems seemed to be deeper than we
- 24:57Speaker 3: even know. You know, Banajet, he's minus seventeen. You know,
- 25:02Speaker 3: Lafonnier signs this big deal, he's minus fourteen, you know,
- 25:05Speaker 3: plus minus Alex. If the next six segment of games
- 25:15Speaker 3: leading up to the Four Nations Tournament, where there's going
- 25:19Speaker 3: to be that ten day break from February twelfth to
- 25:23Speaker 3: the twentieth, and then I guess they start a couple.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Of days later, it's key for the Rangers.
- 25:28Speaker 3: If the Rangers are still in the squadmire and still
- 25:30Speaker 3: skating in mud and have and needings to stirk and
- 25:35Speaker 3: to bail them out of every game, like he did
- 25:37Speaker 3: early in the season when they started off twelve and four,
- 25:41Speaker 3: he covered up all of their He didn't.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Allow that whole postseason last year, right either reason why
- 25:48Speaker 1: they were even in the conference final. As far as
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm concerned, Oh.
- 25:51Speaker 2: No, there's no question about it.
- 25:52Speaker 3: So if they don't clean up those little details by.
- 25:57Speaker 2: February twelfth, this could be.
- 26:01Speaker 3: This could be a lost season for the Rangers, a
- 26:03Speaker 3: lost season that Alex I never thought would have happened
- 26:07Speaker 3: this year.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Never.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I I really thought it was again a run to
- 26:12Speaker 3: the conference finals or the Stanley Cup finals. It could
- 26:15Speaker 3: still happen. Yes, we've seen it in hockey, but it
- 26:17Speaker 3: has to turn around soon.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But if the Rangers knew they want to get rid
- 26:20Speaker 1: of true, But why name him captain? I'm still trying
- 26:23Speaker 1: to figure this.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Well, they name they named him captain. Obviously he was
- 26:26Speaker 3: captain when before they put him on the block. You know, hey,
- 26:32Speaker 3: it happens, I mean, you know, it happens. I mean,
- 26:37Speaker 3: let's look at let's look at all these teams. Look
- 26:39Speaker 3: at anders Lee. I mean he was on the block.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Uh last year or a couple of years ago. Should
- 26:45Speaker 2: we resign them? That was the talk.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Let's stop with Andenersley right there, because he is now
- 26:51Speaker 1: eighth on the Islanders all time goal scoring list, and
- 26:55Speaker 1: I feel like New York didn't hype that up enough.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Anders Lee is the heart and soul of the Islanders,
- 26:59Speaker 1: and I hope he never leaves that team because he
- 27:03Speaker 1: is as I say, the Hartons all that team. Obviously
- 27:05Speaker 1: he was healthy those couple of years, they would have
- 27:07Speaker 1: beat Tampa, you know, I believe so.
- 27:10Speaker 2: No, he could have.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Absolutely he could have made a difference in one of
- 27:12Speaker 3: those two conference those final four finals, no.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Doubt about it, you know. So we'll see.
- 27:19Speaker 3: But I think the Rangers have to be lifted last
- 27:23Speaker 3: night and they have to gain something by seeing how
- 27:28Speaker 3: a player likes a stirkin. I mean, gave Huck, gave
- 27:31Speaker 3: him everything last night. And if that doesn't start to
- 27:36Speaker 3: radiate with the rest of the team in that locker room,
- 27:40Speaker 3: that would be disappointing.
- 27:42Speaker 1: But we'll see that what happened to out there? Am
- 27:45Speaker 1: I right? That Repy was back on the ice too, So.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, Rempy is a fool. I mean at five
- 27:51Speaker 3: minute penalty took last night. He's played twenty two NHL games,
- 27:54Speaker 3: He's been booted from four for them. Mike Matt Rempy
- 27:58Speaker 3: does not belong in the NHL. He's everything that's wrong
- 28:01Speaker 3: with the NHL. I believe in aggressive play. Matt Rempy
- 28:05Speaker 3: can't play. That's my opinion.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I'm glad I brought that up.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Because did you did you see did you see that hit?
- 28:12Speaker 1: I did not. He left his.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Feet, he elbowed, he elbowed the Dallas player in the head.
- 28:18Speaker 3: He got kicked out of the game, and he deserved
- 28:20Speaker 3: to get kicked out of the game, and he deserved
- 28:22Speaker 3: to be suspended. I want to see what the NHL
- 28:24Speaker 3: is going to do today.
- 28:25Speaker 2: He's going to be suspended. Matt Rempy's useless.
- 28:29Speaker 3: He might be good in the nineteen sixties and seventies,
- 28:31Speaker 3: he's useless in my opinion.
- 28:33Speaker 1: He also doesn't score as much either, so I don't know.
- 28:36Speaker 3: He has no skill Alex. He has no skill except
- 28:40Speaker 3: his fists.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and obviously I do think the Rangers need a
- 28:45Speaker 1: big man. Maybe it's not him, but I thought, can
- 28:48Speaker 1: you have.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Got There are guys like that.
- 28:49Speaker 3: You're one hundred percent right, A guy like Tom Wilson,
- 28:53Speaker 3: who I think goes over the line. But Tom Wilson
- 28:56Speaker 3: of the Capitols scores goals. He could score in a
- 28:59Speaker 3: power play. Yes, I would consider him a dirty player,
- 29:02Speaker 3: no doubt. Remember what he did to Paneren then the
- 29:07Speaker 3: a couple of.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Years ago for that, and he didn't really get to spend there, right,
- 29:11Speaker 1: But if.
- 29:13Speaker 3: If Rempy had Tom Wilson's skill, that would be different.
- 29:18Speaker 3: But that's just I'm just using as an example. You
- 29:20Speaker 3: need aggressive guys, you need heavy body checkers. But again,
- 29:25Speaker 3: fantas Hirsturkin last night and the Rangers penalty killed, they
- 29:29Speaker 3: were able to kill that five minute penalty that he
- 29:31Speaker 3: took with seven minutes to.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Go in the game.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Why is he even on the ice with seven minutes
- 29:36Speaker 2: to go in the game.
- 29:38Speaker 3: I know they would down the forward because they traded
- 29:40Speaker 3: top Capo Coppo and I understand. But again, I think
- 29:44Speaker 3: the Rangers still have a chance to be okay. But
- 29:47Speaker 3: this next segment leading up to February twelfth is going
- 29:51Speaker 3: to be the the key period. If they get through these,
- 29:56Speaker 3: If they get to February twelfth and they're still in
- 29:58Speaker 3: decent position, I think that the to be okay, and
- 30:00Speaker 3: I think they can make a deep run.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I do. The talent is too good.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I think, as everybody knows, just getting in the playoffs
- 30:07Speaker 1: is the first step and then whatever happens from there
- 30:10Speaker 1: that that's a new new season, so I just get
- 30:13Speaker 1: in the postseason and see what happens next. Hey, Lou,
- 30:16Speaker 1: I gotta ask you about another segment that we've just finished,
- 30:19Speaker 1: the NBA Cup, And you know, I find it kind
- 30:23Speaker 1: of ridiculous because it's a segment of the NBA games
- 30:27Speaker 1: and I don't even know what you get as a reward,
- 30:29Speaker 1: like one extra win. It's such a weird thing. I
- 30:32Speaker 1: guess a lot of cash goes with it too. But hey,
- 30:35Speaker 1: the Knicks were in the semifinals, so there's that.
- 30:38Speaker 3: But did you excign you? Did you ex sign you
- 30:41Speaker 3: that the Knicks were in the semifinals of a cup?
- 30:43Speaker 1: Okay?
- 30:45Speaker 2: I mean, let let's put it this way, Alex. The players,
- 30:50Speaker 2: the players on each.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Winning team, and these guys are making more money than
- 30:53Speaker 3: you could shake a stick out in the NBA got
- 30:55Speaker 3: five hundred and sixteen thousand dollars, So every member in
- 30:58Speaker 3: Milwaukee Bucks got five hundred and fifteen thousand dollars winning
- 31:02Speaker 3: the Cup. But and that and the championship game between
- 31:06Speaker 3: Milwaukee and Oklahoma City doesn't count in the standards. The
- 31:10Speaker 3: other games do. But again, if you want to if
- 31:16Speaker 3: you want to give it some juice, this is just
- 31:19Speaker 3: my my two cents on it make it instead of
- 31:22Speaker 3: you know, like they have that group play where they
- 31:24Speaker 3: this year they played every Friday night in group play.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Have have that group play just concentrated for two weeks.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Close down the regular season for two weeks and play
- 31:37Speaker 3: and play the group play in the semi finals and
- 31:39Speaker 3: the finals and the quarters in a two week period
- 31:44Speaker 3: and get it over with. But if it's concentrated, I
- 31:46Speaker 3: think it would be more interests. There were nights, you know, there.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Are that it's like, it's like, is this an NBA
- 31:51Speaker 1: regular season game or an NBA Cup game?
- 31:53Speaker 3: Beause that's right that you're one hundred percent correct, That's
- 31:56Speaker 3: exactly right, Alex.
- 31:58Speaker 1: And then the way they designated it just we're is
- 32:00Speaker 1: stupid because one night on a Tuesday, it's NBA Cup thing,
- 32:04Speaker 1: and then the next day's and the only thing I
- 32:07Speaker 1: know about it is because the cups are different, the
- 32:09Speaker 1: court's a different color entirely.
- 32:11Speaker 3: That's right, You're a hundred percent correct.
- 32:14Speaker 1: So but you know, I do like when the Knicks
- 32:17Speaker 1: are competitive or anything, because it just is a pride
- 32:20Speaker 1: thing for New York. I think that you know, hey,
- 32:21Speaker 1: we're in the semifinals. I don't know, and the Knicks
- 32:24Speaker 1: needs some good news here, and I think.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Carl Let's have a good team.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I think Karl Anthony town has made a big difference.
- 32:31Speaker 1: And look, it might be, you know, getting rid of
- 32:35Speaker 1: Devincenzo as much of a three pointer. Maybe he wasn't
- 32:37Speaker 1: that glue in the club, in the locker room. I
- 32:40Speaker 1: don't know, but done, something's better with this team with
- 32:44Speaker 1: Kat on it.
- 32:45Speaker 3: So yeah, Well, the thing is Cat's just a better
- 32:48Speaker 3: player than a Vincenzo or or Julius Randall.
- 32:53Speaker 2: I want to know why.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Out of the clear blue sky, the Minnesota Timberwolves so
- 33:00Speaker 3: close to getting to the finals all of a sudden
- 33:03Speaker 3: a week before training camp trade call Anthony Towns. I
- 33:11Speaker 3: really want to know why that happened. I have no idea.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Well that that's puzzling to me because Minnesota's taken definitely
- 33:21Speaker 3: taking a step back.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Well they have, and you know, Anthony Towns, I guess
- 33:27Speaker 1: you're right the reason why Minnesota got to where they
- 33:29Speaker 1: got to last year.
- 33:30Speaker 3: He's an MVP candidate, Alex.
- 33:33Speaker 1: He's the reason why the Knicks are gonna get where
- 33:34Speaker 1: they are. And you know what everybody last year was
- 33:38Speaker 1: talking about workload for brunts, and at least he's got
- 33:42Speaker 1: a supporting cast. Not to say Towns is the Soto
- 33:46Speaker 1: of the like twenty twenty four Yankee Soto, but right
- 33:49Speaker 1: now he is taking the pressure off like Soto took
- 33:51Speaker 1: the pressure off judge. So it's it's sort of a parallel.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I see there. But we'll see how the season plays
- 33:58Speaker 1: out for that team.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Again, No, I think the I think they're gonna be.
- 34:01Speaker 3: They're in I think they're in great shape. First of all,
- 34:04Speaker 3: the Eastern Conference sticks, and let's call it like it is.
- 34:11Speaker 2: You got you got Boston, you got you got Cleveland.
- 34:14Speaker 3: I don't know how legit Cleveland is even with their
- 34:17Speaker 3: great record. Obviously, they have done a great job so far.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Milwaukee seems to be playing better. We'll see if that lasts.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Orlando's a team on the com but their best two
- 34:29Speaker 3: players are injured. Of course, the Celtics are the champs
- 34:33Speaker 3: and they'll be right there. So this is an opportunity
- 34:36Speaker 3: for the Knicks to to go to win more than
- 34:38Speaker 3: one round, which they haven't done since.
- 34:40Speaker 1: You know, am I right that they had led the offense?
- 34:43Speaker 1: Uh categories the NBA? Are they leading offensive categories here?
- 34:47Speaker 2: Who's that Alex.
- 34:49Speaker 1: The Knicks I heard there.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Yes, yes they are that. They they are. They are
- 34:54Speaker 3: one of the top offensive teams in the league, and
- 34:55Speaker 3: I believe I don't know if they still are, but
- 34:57Speaker 3: they were leading the league in points per game.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Well there you go, all right, Lou Going back to
- 35:04Speaker 1: my original topic here we started with the college football playoff.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Did you, growing up watching college football ever think a
- 35:14Speaker 1: twelve playoff system wouldever be implemented and do you think
- 35:19Speaker 1: it will work?
- 35:20Speaker 2: I think it will work.
- 35:22Speaker 3: When I was growing up, they voted for the national champion,
- 35:27Speaker 3: which was an embarrassment. And they always say, well, they
- 35:31Speaker 3: they can't have a playoffs s'steen because of to protect
- 35:34Speaker 3: the balls. And now it's gonna remember in those days
- 35:37Speaker 3: there were only about twelve or thirteen bowls, not the
- 35:39Speaker 3: ridiculous amount of games that they are now that are
- 35:41Speaker 3: totally meaningless. There should have been a playoff back in
- 35:46Speaker 3: the fifties. They really should have. I think it will work.
- 35:51Speaker 3: I actually want to see the rest of this playoff,
- 35:54Speaker 3: how it goes. I probably I was leaning towards an
- 35:58Speaker 3: eighteen playoff, but they went to twelve, and they apparently
- 36:02Speaker 3: they might even expand it to fourteen and twenty twenty six.
- 36:06Speaker 2: That's what I hear.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Who knows that's true or not. Who knows where it
- 36:09Speaker 3: will end up. But it's all about TV money, you know.
- 36:13Speaker 3: I think it's gonna work.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I really do, well, I think so. I think it
- 36:19Speaker 1: draws an excitement to it that we haven't seen in
- 36:21Speaker 1: a little bit when it comes to ball season, because
- 36:24Speaker 1: it's sort of downplay. It sort of eliminates all the
- 36:29Speaker 1: number of bowl games that seem useless. I hate to
- 36:31Speaker 1: say it that way, but it's just like you, you're right,
- 36:36Speaker 1: the coverage of the ball games that are too many
- 36:38Speaker 1: to begin with. At least it takes a little alleviation
- 36:41Speaker 1: from that. It puts it on something worth it, you know,
- 36:43Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, it'll be it'll be a fun one.
- 36:47Speaker 1: But you know, Syracuse is in the Bowl season two,
- 36:50Speaker 1: which is fun, and we get to carry that game
- 36:52Speaker 1: on ninety seventy next week.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Well, speaking about playoffs, a little little note that that
- 37:01Speaker 3: did not get a lot of notoriety this year. Obviously,
- 37:04Speaker 3: the IVY League no longer plays Division one football and
- 37:08Speaker 3: they haven't four for a long time, and they play,
- 37:12Speaker 3: you know, in the FCS, not the FBS, the FBS,
- 37:16Speaker 3: the Division one, that's what should be called. But they
- 37:19Speaker 3: finally may they're finally coming out of the dark ages
- 37:22Speaker 3: a little bit. For the first time ever, they're going
- 37:24Speaker 3: to allow their teams, if worthy, to participate in the
- 37:29Speaker 3: FCS playoffs, So the conference champion will get an automatic bid.
- 37:34Speaker 3: And the IVY League never even had a tie breaker,
- 37:37Speaker 3: so they would have two way ties, three way ties
- 37:40Speaker 3: for the IVY League championship, and they're going to come
- 37:42Speaker 3: up with a tie breaker. So that's something you look
- 37:47Speaker 3: forward to for people who follow the teams here at
- 37:49Speaker 3: the Northeast or in the IVY League. Remember there's no
- 37:52Speaker 3: scholarship money for these players in the IVY League, there's
- 37:55Speaker 3: no n i L, there's no graduate transfers, so it's
- 37:59Speaker 3: basically still as pure an amateur sport as you can get.
- 38:04Speaker 3: But having the champion and maybe some large teams in
- 38:08Speaker 3: the IVY League play in a player and the FCS playoffs,
- 38:11Speaker 3: I think it's a positive thing.
- 38:14Speaker 1: One Well, Lou this was a great Terminillo's take. We
- 38:18Speaker 1: covered it all prior to kickoff of the Big Slate today,
- 38:24Speaker 1: starting with Pennze SMU Enjoy the day.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Alex, thank you, you and Gabby have a wonderful day
- 38:31Speaker 3: watch in football and hockey and basketball because that's what
- 38:34Speaker 3: I'm going to do.
- 38:35Speaker 1: And of course, Merry Christmas because we won't talk to
- 38:37Speaker 1: you till after Christmas, So Merry Christmas to you.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Merry Christmas, Alex, thank you for another great year of
- 38:43Speaker 3: having me on, and I assume we'll talk between New
- 38:47Speaker 3: Years and Christmas with another Terminillo's take.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Yes, Christmas week is my favorite week, no matter what
- 38:53Speaker 1: I agree much as I complain about the Bowl season,
- 38:55Speaker 1: and it's fun to have those bowl games in between
- 38:57Speaker 1: Christmas and New Year's Okay, it is fun to have them.
- 39:01Speaker 1: It is.
- 39:01Speaker 3: It makes for good TV watching on a Tuesday afternoon,
- 39:05Speaker 3: like at two thirty in the afternoon, that's for sure.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Thank you, Alex.
- 39:09Speaker 1: All Right, that's termin Tho's take on One Leg Up
- 39:12Speaker 1: with Alex Garrett
