There's a big problem financially in the United States
• 0:04
which is just now starting to unfold.
• 0:06
So you can brag to your friends about the shadow banking sector
• 0:11
or what is technically called private credit and, and what
• 0:15
this is and there's big problems.
• 0:18
OK, Remember during the 2008 financial crisis, it was because
• 0:22
of mortgage-backed securities and the big financial service
• 0:25
firms. Right now we have something
• 0:27
similar ish going on in the world.
• 0:30
It's called private credit. Private credit are these big
• 0:33
financial companies like Blackstone, BlackRock, all of
• 0:37
them, right. They got into the private
• 0:40
lending sector outside of the traditional banking world,
• 0:44
loaning millions and 1,000,000 billions, trillions of I think
• 0:48
it's a $2 trillion market of money to companies, software
• 0:52
companies, that type of thing. And there are major red flags
• 0:56
going up in that sector right now that again, could lead to
• 1:00
financial turmoil, which again could lead to the Fed needing to
• 1:07
print money, which would be good for crypto.
• 1:09
Another one from Bar Chart Private Credit, and they say
• 1:12
another one, $33 billion Cliff Water private credit fund limits
• 1:17
redemptions to 7%, half of what came in.
• 1:21
So what's happening is investors are demanding money back from
• 1:26
these private credit funds. And the private credit funds are
• 1:29
saying whoa, whoa, whoa. They're not saying they can't
• 1:32
give any money back, but they're severely limiting the amount of
• 1:36
money they give back to their investors.
