- 0:20Speaker 2: So what are you drinking?
- 0:22Speaker 3: I just had a really good question for your name.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I forgot right now classic.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Nothing, But I just cracked open a Cherry Cola ollipop.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Ooh I uh Raspberry Sherbert.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Classic quantity the intro Chuckscantina, Gmail dot com, chux'anteen your
- 0:41Speaker 2: social Sorry, dude, it has been a day I'm having
- 0:45Speaker 2: bubbly What the hell is it?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Uh?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Strawberry sunset? Wait yeah, ollipopper? Wait no, no, just like
- 0:56Speaker 2: a sparkling water. Oh yeah, how still no dude. Literally,
- 1:01Speaker 2: Patrick's been on a couple of times anytime now, Like
- 1:04Speaker 2: I say a name, he calls me out.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Well, I mean.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I get it. It's like if they're not paying me,
- 1:14Speaker 2: why why should we? Why should I? But you know,
- 1:17Speaker 2: it's like, you know, it's like talking about like fast food,
- 1:20Speaker 2: like obviously for examp about fast food, there's one that
- 1:22Speaker 2: clearly six outs like okay, like we can obviously mention
- 1:24Speaker 2: that one, you know, or or again we just we
- 1:27Speaker 2: just give its golden arches.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you can say that statement to anyone
- 1:32Speaker 3: in the country or any friend group, and the answers
- 1:36Speaker 3: were very mm hmm. But I think the overall consensus
- 1:39Speaker 3: there will be three or four top hitters.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Actually, And that's the thing too. I know this
- 1:48Speaker 2: is obviously not that's what we're talking about with the
- 1:49Speaker 2: title of the show today, But like I talked about
- 1:54Speaker 2: here a couple of times, I don't know. I mean
- 1:55Speaker 2: I don't know like what you and your other half
- 1:59Speaker 2: do with your like dates and stuff like that. But
- 2:02Speaker 2: like I've talked about like how like Kaitlin and I
- 2:05Speaker 2: like we're now like we do like date nights now,
- 2:07Speaker 2: and just like the experiences we've been doing and like
- 2:12Speaker 2: the restaurants we're going to don't be wrong, Like does
- 2:15Speaker 2: it cost money? Yes, Like we're both working hard, you know,
- 2:17Speaker 2: we both are saving our money and stuff like that.
- 2:20Speaker 2: But it's like now, like whenever, like we go to
- 2:22Speaker 2: a fast food restaurant, like I doing wrong. It's still good,
- 2:28Speaker 2: but now I'm literally asking myself like was it worth
- 2:30Speaker 2: with that price? And the answer is no, yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I agree, not only price, but taste yeah too, and
- 2:41Speaker 3: dietary effects. Right, Like at this point, go go to
- 2:45Speaker 3: a local place, spend the two three dollars more get
- 2:48Speaker 3: just a better quality meal.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Dude. We literally went to since yesterday we're cord it's
- 2:56Speaker 2: on the six. Yesterday was single Tomio. We went to
- 2:58Speaker 2: our favorite taco restaurant in town for single day. Mile
- 3:03Speaker 2: place of course was super packed. Food took a little
- 3:07Speaker 2: longer than it usually does, but it's okay because it
- 3:08Speaker 2: was packed. Of course it came out slapped, was phenomenal,
- 3:13Speaker 2: like I so much. I literally ordered a second. I
- 3:17Speaker 2: literally ordered myself a burrito so I can have it
- 3:19Speaker 2: today for lunch. Because because again, if you when you go,
- 3:23Speaker 2: when you have your place, you know what's good. You
- 3:26Speaker 2: know it's like you just know what's worth it. And
- 3:30Speaker 2: literally we were talking, Her and I were talking about
- 3:32Speaker 2: this last time we were eating our food. I think
- 3:34Speaker 2: literally with all the food, we got a lot of food.
- 3:36Speaker 2: With all the food we got okay. So I literally
- 3:39Speaker 2: got dinner last night for myself. She got dinner. I
- 3:42Speaker 2: got her her face, her her she loves she loves
- 3:45Speaker 2: the Spanish rice. I got her Spanish rice. And then
- 3:49Speaker 2: I got myself something to eat for today. I think
- 3:52Speaker 2: when I did the math, it was like six bucks
- 3:54Speaker 2: more than like Taco Bell. Yeah exactly, which is insane.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Quality, taste, quality, nutrition, and you're helping in a local business.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Like right, and like afterwards like when I ate it
- 4:08Speaker 2: last night and I ate it today?
- 4:10Speaker 3: Did I?
- 4:11Speaker 2: And again I love me the Bell? But like, did
- 4:14Speaker 2: I feel like I was going to die afterwards?
- 4:17Speaker 3: No small tangent on that note before we give into
- 4:21Speaker 3: the show. Dude, Yeah, I was craving some burgers lately,
- 4:31Speaker 3: and those who aren't where I'm I'm decently health conscious
- 4:36Speaker 3: now and trying to really not not do a lot
- 4:40Speaker 3: of stuff like that. But anyway, caved. I was like,
- 4:44Speaker 3: all right, I made my own burgers, right. I didn't
- 4:49Speaker 3: go to a cheap you know, the cheap patties. I
- 4:54Speaker 3: made it from fresh ground beef. My body reacted like
- 5:00Speaker 3: I had consumed talk about for three meals in a.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Row, Like what kind of grown beef did you find?
- 5:11Speaker 3: I won't I won't say the market, but a grocery
- 5:15Speaker 3: store brand.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Uh okay, okay, I'm sorry. Oh well, here's a question.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Did you put cheese on it?
- 5:29Speaker 3: I did?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Was it? Was it deli cheese or was it like
- 5:35Speaker 2: branded cheese?
- 5:36Speaker 3: It was branded?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Okay?
- 5:39Speaker 3: Out saying the brand not plastic kind.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So that is the thing that I'm Caitlin and I
- 5:49Speaker 2: have also been very like we're not I'm not saying
- 5:51Speaker 2: that we've been super health conscious or since she came
- 5:53Speaker 2: back from Europe, like one of her understandly one of
- 5:55Speaker 2: our concerns was, like going back from my essential Europe
- 5:58Speaker 2: diet to an America can diet because we put so
- 6:02Speaker 2: much plastic quote unquote is the best way to say
- 6:04Speaker 2: into everything, it messes up your system. And and I'm
- 6:08Speaker 2: not gonna lie like I've I've lost I've lost weight,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and I wholeheartedly give like ninety percent of that to
- 6:14Speaker 2: the fact that like I was in Europe for a
- 6:15Speaker 2: couple of months and like it just it cleans your
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say clean your system out fully, but
- 6:20Speaker 2: like it doesn't you feel the difference. You feel that
- 6:23Speaker 2: feel the difference, like you can like you could literally
- 6:26Speaker 2: go to the Golden Arches order to burgers and like
- 6:29Speaker 2: you don't feel like you're gonna throw up after or
- 6:31Speaker 2: not gonnay throw up, Like you don't feel like you
- 6:32Speaker 2: just had five meals in a row. So the only
- 6:37Speaker 2: thing we've really done differently here, man, is we we
- 6:41Speaker 2: rarely and I mean rarely we eat pasta, and if
- 6:45Speaker 2: you do know anything about me and my wife, we love
- 6:47Speaker 2: us to pasta. So not but now whenever we now,
- 6:50Speaker 2: whenever we eat it, if we make it a home
- 6:52Speaker 2: or we get a restaurant, it's like a treat because
- 6:56Speaker 2: like as good, as much as we love pasta, it's
- 6:58Speaker 2: just like when you eat like one thing, and because
- 7:00Speaker 2: the promise you don't know where the noodles are from,
- 7:03Speaker 2: you know what they're made with and stuff like that.
- 7:04Speaker 2: So like whenever we do get noodles or anything like that,
- 7:07Speaker 2: we're obviously using that app I showed you. Also, we're
- 7:11Speaker 2: just taking a time. I understand, like what's in the food.
- 7:14Speaker 2: But also we just we just we just do not
- 7:17Speaker 2: buy bread unless it's from like a bakery and one
- 7:21Speaker 2: that we trust.
- 7:23Speaker 3: To both of those. Yeah, interesting on the pasta as
- 7:29Speaker 3: I currently am making pasta, but now I hear you dude,
- 7:34Speaker 3: all that proud of you. Also, I don't know food
- 7:39Speaker 3: for thought, make co made pasta, butter flour egg.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we're still working on our kitchen, but
- 7:48Speaker 2: like once the kitchen then will definitely do that. But no,
- 7:51Speaker 2: like it's just insane that like with just some of
- 7:55Speaker 2: the things we've changed. Like I've actually like I've lost
- 7:57Speaker 2: weight since I got home just because of the changes
- 8:00Speaker 2: we made.
- 8:02Speaker 3: That's huge, dude.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And like there are days I'm not gonna lie where
- 8:05Speaker 2: I pick out, man, Like I'm not gonna I didn't
- 8:07Speaker 2: like I say, I picked out today, but like I had,
- 8:09Speaker 2: like obviously I had that burrito, which was fabulous, But
- 8:13Speaker 2: like I I don't know, man, there are just some
- 8:16Speaker 2: days where I just want to eat like again, like
- 8:18Speaker 2: five crunch wraps, but like I'm.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Currently in one of those days. Hints the pasta.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's just like why why is it? Like
- 8:25Speaker 2: why is it like again that you go to a
- 8:29Speaker 2: drive through, you eat a you know, a burrito whatever
- 8:33Speaker 2: you want to call it, and then you literally feel
- 8:36Speaker 2: like you gained forty pounds.
- 8:40Speaker 3: It just yeh filler.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Literally because like again, like and I'm not even I
- 8:46Speaker 2: don't even like the whole political thing going like politics,
- 8:49Speaker 2: you know, I don't, I don't. I don't talk about
- 8:51Speaker 2: that on here. If peop want to come on here
- 8:53Speaker 2: and talk about it, like I'll talk to you about beforehand.
- 8:54Speaker 2: But it's just not my jam. But like, wasn't this
- 8:58Speaker 2: current thing supposed to like get rid of that shit.
- 9:00Speaker 2: It's like, oh, no, be gone in twenty twenty eight
- 9:02Speaker 2: or twenty seven, Like okay, we don't how that fucking works,
- 9:05Speaker 2: but it's just like why, like why has this shit
- 9:07Speaker 2: got to be in there? Is it really that much
- 9:09Speaker 2: of a difference if you using that one thing to
- 9:12Speaker 2: make that food, is it gonna cost you that much money?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Or for example, the thing that you told me about,
- 9:17Speaker 2: like allegedly a popular let's say, fast food chain told
- 9:22Speaker 2: their next of kin to not eat the food because
- 9:27Speaker 2: something there was classified is not what it sells yep,
- 9:30Speaker 2: allegedly allegedly yep, allegedly. It's just like come on, like
- 9:38Speaker 2: that's why I hate And he was like like when
- 9:40Speaker 2: the remember when the McDonald's CEO did that video that
- 9:45Speaker 2: got like he got made fun of for by all
- 9:47Speaker 2: other places.
- 9:47Speaker 3: He didn't even finish his own meal.
- 9:49Speaker 2: No, but here's the thing, here's the thing I want.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I can't remember what fast food place it was, but
- 9:55Speaker 2: instead of just like showing the guy like in his
- 9:56Speaker 2: office eating his own sandwichever it was, they actually had
- 9:59Speaker 2: the god goes through like a drive through and order
- 10:02Speaker 2: it and like when it came out like I'm sure
- 10:05Speaker 2: they got a heads up, but it didn't look like
- 10:08Speaker 2: all those videos where it literally looked like we literally
- 10:11Speaker 2: just pulled this scene like off the commercial set.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Yeah, our marketing team approved this burger.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah after like five try but like do that, like
- 10:20Speaker 2: actually go to one of your restaurants and actually say that.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I'd be like a perfect example, like you know, like okay,
- 10:26Speaker 2: you know, hey, you're you're the CEO of this place. Okay,
- 10:29Speaker 2: here try this take good bye? What is it? It's
- 10:32Speaker 2: your saying it's your it's your food.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Try it, yeah, or just say it's the number nine.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Yeah, this is the number nine. Don't you know what
- 10:39Speaker 2: that is? Because like and I guarantee like they'll be
- 10:43Speaker 2: like no, or they'll be like, well, I don't know
- 10:45Speaker 2: what it is and I have this allergy, and it's
- 10:47Speaker 2: like you'd be like, well, it's just or it's just
- 10:49Speaker 2: it's just nugs.
- 10:50Speaker 3: You want to know what Darth Maul would order?
- 10:55Speaker 2: Oh god, oh, I only one can wonder.
- 10:59Speaker 3: He's an order sixty six kind of guy.
- 11:04Speaker 2: How much how much Diablo Sauce would he put on
- 11:06Speaker 2: his crutch trap?
- 11:09Speaker 3: Probably m I think his rear end were trade places
- 11:19Speaker 3: with Anakin after laying in the lava.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I was gonna say his thought, I'm gonna say his
- 11:25Speaker 2: rear end would actually look like the top of his head.
- 11:30Speaker 2: On that note, here's your slurp review of Mall Shadow Lords, or,
- 11:42Speaker 2: or as my wife likes to call it, Mall's Shadow Daddy.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I just yeah, I just gotta say how I put this.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I've talked about before, like how when my wife and
- 11:56Speaker 2: I watch movies or shows, we're both very different, and
- 11:59Speaker 2: actually we're both We're Actually it's funny because the longer
- 12:01Speaker 2: you are with the personal so you get to obviously
- 12:03Speaker 2: know them better. We're both like adapting, if that makes sense,
- 12:08Speaker 2: to each other's watch styles. Where she would ask questions
- 12:13Speaker 2: and I'm not gonna buy that. I'm not saying like
- 12:15Speaker 2: the annoying questions like like let me sert. Sometimes she's
- 12:17Speaker 2: like who's that. She would actually ask questions about, like hey,
- 12:20Speaker 2: why is this happen or what is this like because
- 12:22Speaker 2: she doesn't know and she's not trying to be rude,
- 12:23Speaker 2: She's trying to learn, like oh okay, that's fair. Or me,
- 12:27Speaker 2: I'm just the one who sits there quietly into the
- 12:29Speaker 2: night and watches and I take everything in and if
- 12:32Speaker 2: I have to miss something, then I will watch it again.
- 12:35Speaker 2: But that's just how I go lately or the last
- 12:38Speaker 2: couple of years. Though it's more so where she's asking
- 12:40Speaker 2: less questions, not because she understand, but she's trying to
- 12:42Speaker 2: learn it. But then maybe like I'll just jump in
- 12:45Speaker 2: and say like, here's what this is.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Or so you guys have also been able to watch
- 12:50Speaker 3: a lot of series together from the strect so then
- 12:53Speaker 3: like you all.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Know, oh, I wholeheartedly admit I am. I was the
- 12:57Speaker 2: mean before it became like a TikTok social media video
- 13:01Speaker 2: trend thing where it was literally like girls watching reality
- 13:04Speaker 2: show guys doing something and then she goes, baby, you
- 13:07Speaker 2: want start over? And the guy goes no, and then
- 13:09Speaker 2: you know, the next two seconds it's him sitting on
- 13:10Speaker 2: the couch going who, like, who is that? What the fuck?
- 13:13Speaker 2: That is one hundred percent me with the Beverly Hill
- 13:16Speaker 2: or the Housewives stuff, one hundred percent me. Like, for example,
- 13:20Speaker 2: have you ever seen and again I know we're going
- 13:21Speaker 2: you shouldn't see the name, but it's fine, have you
- 13:24Speaker 2: seen the show The Traders?
- 13:26Speaker 3: I have not.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I literally say it because the dates is literally that's
- 13:30Speaker 2: the literally that was the lightest one. She watched one episode.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I was literally in here. I'm not shooting you. I
- 13:37Speaker 2: was in here gaming with you and the boys. And
- 13:41Speaker 2: I think, like I think that was like we were
- 13:42Speaker 2: playing the golf game. So obviously it was getting pretty
- 13:44Speaker 2: fucking loud and I'm pretty little bit chaotic, and I
- 13:47Speaker 2: can literally hear going, what the fuck? And I literally
- 13:50Speaker 2: took one headphone out and I'm listening to TV and
- 13:53Speaker 2: I'm going to myself, what the fuck? Oh okay, And
- 13:57Speaker 2: I literally went out there and we watched. I missed
- 14:00Speaker 2: the first episode, which is fine because she literally explained
- 14:02Speaker 2: to me the game, the show in two minutes, and
- 14:05Speaker 2: also the recap of the set from the second episode
- 14:06Speaker 2: explained everything. And I was locked in and like, I
- 14:10Speaker 2: I'm not there. It is. It's like, oh, I get
- 14:13Speaker 2: why this is a show that wins all these mes.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I get it now. But it's just ship like that.
- 14:17Speaker 2: It's just like and again and here. And here's the thing.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I was.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say worried. She likes animated shit. I mean, fuck,
- 14:22Speaker 2: we both love fucking you know the mouse. Oh, but like, okay,
- 14:27Speaker 2: she's gonna watch with me a tech a serious show
- 14:32Speaker 2: that's animated, and she was locked in. I mean not
- 14:37Speaker 2: like I mean I was locked in too spoil there
- 14:39Speaker 2: was cominghead by the way, but like I just yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 2: it was I really enjoyed the experience. It was a
- 14:45Speaker 2: great show I got. I literally have my own complaine
- 14:48Speaker 2: is that it's over and I got probably wait forever
- 14:50Speaker 2: another season.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah that I I did have the same conclusion there.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I think that's a very nice segue. I I was
- 15:01Speaker 3: saddened when it was over. And for those of you
- 15:05Speaker 3: that don't know, I never watched Clone Wars or like that,
- 15:11Speaker 3: I know, I really, I really do love Star Wars.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Like I would say, I'm I'm a fan, but I
- 15:21Speaker 3: don't know a lot. Yeah, no, I'm a casual.
- 15:27Speaker 2: No, It's definitely the best way to say is like
- 15:29Speaker 2: if you want I'm not saying if you watch movies
- 15:31Speaker 2: or just a casual, but like, if you watch the
- 15:34Speaker 2: animated shows, there's so much information and stuff in there
- 15:40Speaker 2: that like there may be a few times you have
- 15:41Speaker 2: to watch an episode or two because sometimes it's almost
- 15:44Speaker 2: too much, you know what I mean. And here's the thing,
- 15:49Speaker 2: I for the longest time didn't watch I still actually
- 15:52Speaker 2: I haven't seen all of actually Tech, I haven't seen
- 15:53Speaker 2: the Bad Batch yet. I seen one. I think I
- 15:55Speaker 2: saw the first episode, but like and I also haven't
- 15:59Speaker 2: seen there a season of Tales of the Jedi, which
- 16:01Speaker 2: is also canon if I'm correct, Yeah, that's correct. But
- 16:05Speaker 2: like because it's like this, like the problem that Marvel
- 16:08Speaker 2: has right now is that there's too much with Star Wars.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say there's too much, but like there's
- 16:14Speaker 2: so much information packed into one show, which I liked
- 16:18Speaker 2: about mal two. They're not saying there was a lot
- 16:20Speaker 2: of information, but it wasn't overbearing with like lore and
- 16:23Speaker 2: like all this other stuff. But like sometimes there's so
- 16:25Speaker 2: much information it's just like okay, like you literally need
- 16:28Speaker 2: to take like the time to sit down with like
- 16:31Speaker 2: Clone Wars, turn off your phone. Like for example, did
- 16:35Speaker 2: you know, like before you watch the actual Clone War
- 16:37Speaker 2: Shore you have to watch the movie. And I actually
- 16:40Speaker 2: for I actually I'm not gonna lie to you. I
- 16:42Speaker 2: watched it last fall and I saw when it came out,
- 16:48Speaker 2: but I ain't seen it in like forever. I forgot
- 16:51Speaker 2: it's like a two and a half hour because I'm
- 16:55Speaker 2: sitting there and I'm like I'm sitting I'm like, when
- 16:58Speaker 2: is this gonna fucking not that not by the way,
- 17:00Speaker 2: not saying like it's I'm over, not saying it's like
- 17:03Speaker 2: I'm saying it's too a hour. I think it's like
- 17:04Speaker 2: an hour and a half, two hours, but I'm just like,
- 17:07Speaker 2: holy shit, what is this gonna end?
- 17:11Speaker 3: No?
- 17:11Speaker 2: But it's like it was literally what they made this
- 17:13Speaker 2: movie to try to like obviously get like it was
- 17:14Speaker 2: like their pitch to do the show, and obviously it
- 17:16Speaker 2: worked because they did. Like I think it was seven seasons,
- 17:19Speaker 2: but like it.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Was a lot. I think four, I want to say fourteen?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Was it that many?
- 17:24Speaker 3: The one time I did, I was like I want
- 17:26Speaker 3: to start watching it. I remember thinking after the first episode,
- 17:31Speaker 3: there's no way I can watch it. There's so many
- 17:32Speaker 3: fucking seasons.
- 17:36Speaker 2: No it it there's it's a lot. But you just
- 17:40Speaker 2: got again you got to have patience in time, which
- 17:42Speaker 2: a lot of people again like and the thing is
- 17:44Speaker 2: like with me, like how much I love that shit?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Like I can't. I'm not just like a you know,
- 17:49Speaker 2: let me watch one episode and I'll go to bed,
- 17:50Speaker 2: Like no, if I if I get hooked on something,
- 17:52Speaker 2: I have to watch the next scene, because yep, I
- 17:55Speaker 2: just can't hand I just can't handle myself. And like this,
- 17:58Speaker 2: there's a lot of episodes and those shows that do that.
- 18:00Speaker 2: But I understand because I know people who say they're bigger,
- 18:05Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not saying like I'm the biggest Star
- 18:07Speaker 2: Wars fan in the world. I know I'm not. But
- 18:09Speaker 2: like I can tell you all, should that happens in
- 18:11Speaker 2: the movies? Can I tell you should that happened to
- 18:12Speaker 2: the shows?
- 18:12Speaker 3: No?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Because I haven't seen enough where it's literally integrated into
- 18:15Speaker 2: my brain. I probably have to go back and watch
- 18:18Speaker 2: a few things. Like I said, I haven't seen Bad Batch.
- 18:20Speaker 2: I've seen Rebels the show only once. I've seen Clone Wars.
- 18:23Speaker 2: But it's been uh so, I couldn't tell you some
- 18:27Speaker 2: stuff because it's been so long since I've seen, Like
- 18:29Speaker 2: certain seasons, I can tell in the last season, I
- 18:31Speaker 2: can tell it in the first season. In the in between,
- 18:34Speaker 2: my brain's probably a little foggy. And that's okay. But
- 18:37Speaker 2: with Mal, it was what ten episodes didn't didn't overbear
- 18:43Speaker 2: you with all this law and knowledge. You learned a
- 18:46Speaker 2: little bit about Mal And that's a nice thing too,
- 18:48Speaker 2: because like, okay, for example, Caitlin hasn't seen Clone Wars
- 18:52Speaker 2: or Rebels, but with I mean spoilerert with that little
- 18:57Speaker 2: mall freak out, she learns some things and I go
- 19:01Speaker 2: and she goes right away. The first question was that
- 19:03Speaker 2: like in the other shows. I'm like, yes, she was, Oh, okay,
- 19:06Speaker 2: I get it. But yeah, but it's okay, great even
- 19:08Speaker 2: if you didn't see that other stuff, they explained it
- 19:10Speaker 2: to you pretty much. If you only pretty much, if
- 19:13Speaker 2: you only saw fantasy like the movies, you're fine.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yes, yep. That was actually one of the things I
- 19:21Speaker 3: wanted to make sure we covered. And You're story about
- 19:26Speaker 3: Kitton aligns perfectly with my experience. Yeah, I saw Phantom Menace.
- 19:33Speaker 3: That's the last thing about Mal I really knew. I mean,
- 19:36Speaker 3: I did know about his survival and like some of
- 19:40Speaker 3: the things he had to do to survive, but I
- 19:43Speaker 3: just knew of them. I didn't know much more than that. Yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 3: and same thing. I walked into that show kind of nervous, like, hey,
- 19:50Speaker 3: I don't know a bunch of the shit, you know,
- 19:53Speaker 3: Am I gonna be able to watch it? Am I
- 19:55Speaker 3: gonna be able to understand? And it was very beginner
- 19:59Speaker 3: friendly oh yeah, like they I think they explained outright
- 20:05Speaker 3: just enough to what they needed to and just alluded
- 20:09Speaker 3: to everything else in a way that was understandable even
- 20:13Speaker 3: as a new audience member.
- 20:16Speaker 2: And the nice thing too, is like a lot of
- 20:19Speaker 2: like maybe the uh how I put this side characters
- 20:26Speaker 2: ones that have been in other like content or shows
- 20:29Speaker 2: or movies or whatever, Like they didn't it was like this, Hey,
- 20:35Speaker 2: if you knew who they were, it was an extra
- 20:37Speaker 2: treat for you. If you didn't know, they made it
- 20:41Speaker 2: look like this is a brand new person. This is
- 20:42Speaker 2: a whole natural like like for example, the Crow inquisitor,
- 20:46Speaker 2: that's not new. M that's not new.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Without too much specifics. Yes, the plot twist.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Is so spoilers are are courage It's just it's just it's.
- 21:01Speaker 3: It's just assumed. I know. But this one came out
- 21:07Speaker 3: recently for for the fourth so I want.
- 21:09Speaker 2: To get some They they are already promoting it. Okay,
- 21:15Speaker 2: it's literally in it's literally in commercials and social media ads. Now, my.
- 21:24Speaker 3: My understanding is.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Vader was a badass motherfucker.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Sorry, Yeah, virtually unstoppable in that heyday. And I know
- 21:41Speaker 3: mal is extremely powerful, especially when he's he's raged up
- 21:46Speaker 3: because he fuels off the rage.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Correct.
- 21:48Speaker 3: But my only kind of gripe with the show, and truly,
- 21:54Speaker 3: I believe this is the only thing I've an issued
- 21:57Speaker 3: with is in all of the scenes they were fighting
- 22:02Speaker 3: mm hmm, it never ever genuinely looked like mal had
- 22:07Speaker 3: any strength.
- 22:09Speaker 2: So to to respond to that, they before the move
- 22:18Speaker 2: the pre the old movies, Vader essentially is op and
- 22:24Speaker 2: if you watch in the show, he's going against three
- 22:27Speaker 2: different Jedi with four lightsabers if you want to get technical, okay,
- 22:32Speaker 2: and he is not even breaking a sweat because he
- 22:35Speaker 2: is literally that powerful. He's just twain with them. That's
- 22:39Speaker 2: all it is. And that's why you notice when when
- 22:42Speaker 2: what the fuck was his name, the God, the Master,
- 22:45Speaker 2: the Jedi, the Good Master gets a little hit on him,
- 22:48Speaker 2: what happens, Vader goes okay and starts throwing a Haymakers.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And that's what I liked about it because it showed
- 22:58Speaker 2: because if you've if you've if you've watched some of
- 23:01Speaker 2: the animated shows, if you played the video games that
- 23:03Speaker 2: are canon, if you've what's the word anything outside of
- 23:13Speaker 2: the original movies, Okay, if you've watched or experienced any
- 23:17Speaker 2: of that. They make Vader look like this is literally
- 23:20Speaker 2: the Like again, there's a reason they literally call him
- 23:22Speaker 2: the dark Lord in the show. Yeah, and they literally
- 23:25Speaker 2: and they literally make him look like if you even
- 23:27Speaker 2: look at this guy, this guy is going to literally
- 23:29Speaker 2: snap your neck into two in the matter of a second.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And the biggest thing, and this is the biggest thing,
- 23:35Speaker 2: is someone has because it wasn't okay with someone else
- 23:38Speaker 2: I talked to about this, they're like, yeah, but like
- 23:39Speaker 2: whenever he fights Luke, it's just like he's it's like
- 23:42Speaker 2: he's like not like it's like he's not even trying.
- 23:44Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, because he knows he's his because he
- 23:46Speaker 2: knows that's his son.
- 23:48Speaker 3: He can sense, he knows.
- 23:51Speaker 2: There's other things like that's not obviously like he Vader
- 23:53Speaker 2: knows that's his son. But like there, it's why when
- 23:57Speaker 2: they only fight twice in the movies, Vader never tried that,
- 24:01Speaker 2: saying he doesn't try, but he never tries to actually
- 24:03Speaker 2: kill him. He's just trying to test him to like,
- 24:06Speaker 2: you know, eventually like turn him over to dark side
- 24:08Speaker 2: or you know, make him his own I want. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 2: but it just that's why I love about this because
- 24:12Speaker 2: like I said, like the only like Vader was just
- 24:14Speaker 2: toying with them, and I just loved how again it's
- 24:17Speaker 2: another example of just they just showed how fucking powerful
- 24:20Speaker 2: Vader Anakin actually is because it just and like I said,
- 24:23Speaker 2: like when they when that ninth episode ended, I'm not
- 24:25Speaker 2: gonna lie to you, I suspected he'd be in the
- 24:28Speaker 2: show because I'm like, Okay, it's Darth Maul by this point,
- 24:31Speaker 2: because you even seen Clone Wars. Palpatine wants him dead, Mall
- 24:35Speaker 2: wants him dead to YadA yea dah yeah hah. And
- 24:37Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, the Empire's here. They know it's Mall.
- 24:41Speaker 2: So I'm like, Vader's got I said, maybe Vader shows
- 24:44Speaker 2: up as like I said, like an end credit thing
- 24:46Speaker 2: to show, like, oh, they're gonna fight the next season.
- 24:49Speaker 2: That was my hunch. But then like the way they
- 24:51Speaker 2: revealed them in the ninth episode, not lie when they
- 24:54Speaker 2: killed I forget what the Mandalorian Mal's name was. When
- 24:57Speaker 2: they killed her, I thought like it would be some
- 25:01Speaker 2: like random creature thing.
- 25:02Speaker 3: That's why I thought, well know, as soon as she died,
- 25:05Speaker 3: I was like, it's Vader, like like without a doubt.
- 25:08Speaker 2: But the problem was I was so like blinded by
- 25:10Speaker 2: Like I was like, oh, there's no way they're gonna
- 25:13Speaker 2: put him in this, in this in this season. And
- 25:15Speaker 2: then of course the first set, the time you hear
- 25:17Speaker 2: the you know, the famous breath, I'm like, oh, they
- 25:20Speaker 2: actually put my job was looking the I'm like, oh,
- 25:21Speaker 2: they actually pulled the trigger. And here's the funny thing.
- 25:24Speaker 2: If you watch like Star Wars anime, for like when
- 25:26Speaker 2: it first came out to now, oh my god, did
- 25:29Speaker 2: this little crisp literally looked like live action Invader. I mean,
- 25:35Speaker 2: it just looks so fucking good, and it just oh god.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I was literally like draw on the floor. Didn't even
- 25:44Speaker 2: hesitate queue up the next episode right away because I'm like,
- 25:46Speaker 2: I gotta see mall in Vader fight. And of course
- 25:48Speaker 2: it went exactly as I expected. Mal knew fuck I
- 25:51Speaker 2: cannot do shit.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Yeah, and like they really did do a good job
- 25:56Speaker 3: depicting Maul's fear, and like everyone else is like, holy shit, yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 3: but I still I mean, and this is probably the
- 26:04Speaker 3: casual in me, Like my understanding is is mal really
- 26:09Speaker 3: could have been one of the most powerful if Anakin
- 26:12Speaker 3: had not come along. Correct And because of that, like potential.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Especially I forget what part before he really got scared,
- 26:21Speaker 3: and they like clearly showed he was like actually scared.
- 26:26Speaker 3: He had a brief bit I think it was when
- 26:28Speaker 3: he got struck actually yeah, where he did his little
- 26:32Speaker 3: growl and like his fury was showing mm hmm, like
- 26:36Speaker 3: and again the casual in me my understanding was that
- 26:39Speaker 3: when he was furious like that, that was when like
- 26:42Speaker 3: his power really started flowing. And I was expecting at
- 26:46Speaker 3: that point for him to do something to Vader.
- 26:51Speaker 2: See and that I think the only thing in years
- 26:53Speaker 2: where you because it showed at the end of the
- 26:55Speaker 2: fight his main focus wasn't to kill Vader, was to
- 26:57Speaker 2: like figure out a way to get out of there
- 26:59Speaker 2: with with Devin the apprentice he wanted because a certain
- 27:03Speaker 2: point he realized even like because he and I'm not
- 27:07Speaker 2: evenna say like Maul's full strength he was, he was
- 27:10Speaker 2: we he was wounded. So it's like he really couldn't
- 27:15Speaker 2: go full potential, if that makes sense, because he was
- 27:18Speaker 2: wounded with that leg thing he kept having and that
- 27:20Speaker 2: like it's kept getting worse about the episode. That's yeah,
- 27:22Speaker 2: So I think that's why he said, like the second
- 27:24Speaker 2: he knew Okay, here's my shot. He pushed the Good
- 27:27Speaker 2: Master into Vader, which was fucking which Kaitlyn went, what
- 27:31Speaker 2: the fuck?
- 27:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I was. I mean I knew it was coming
- 27:34Speaker 3: in some way shape or for him, but it's so
- 27:37Speaker 3: it hurts.
- 27:38Speaker 2: It was sad, but it was it was just the
- 27:40Speaker 2: way they did it. And like that's like not even
- 27:42Speaker 2: like to talk about like the other things on the
- 27:44Speaker 2: show because it's just like obviously, like the Vader things
- 27:45Speaker 2: so fresh, it's just in your mind. But like with
- 27:47Speaker 2: like Captain lost it in two, but like all the
- 27:50Speaker 2: character developments in this were so like, I'm not gonna
- 27:52Speaker 2: lie to you. I didn't see the Riley, the kid
- 27:54Speaker 2: of the show. I did not see. I think it's
- 27:56Speaker 2: like episode three they revealed because like I just sawt
- 27:58Speaker 2: like oh it was I was like, oh, it's his
- 28:00Speaker 2: cop and wife broke up because cop is too busy,
- 28:03Speaker 2: but wife someone got killed in something. It's like, oh, no,
- 28:05Speaker 2: she works with the Empire. I like that. I did
- 28:07Speaker 2: not fucking see coming. Like that was a twist. I
- 28:10Speaker 2: didn't see or anything like that. But no, like I
- 28:14Speaker 2: just that's just why the like again, like because like, yeah,
- 28:16Speaker 2: Mall is supposed to be like one of the most powerful,
- 28:18Speaker 2: like one he's fully pissed off, but the things he's
- 28:21Speaker 2: not always fully pissed off, but the things like even
- 28:22Speaker 2: at his most powerful, he can't touch Anakin because Anakin's
- 28:26Speaker 2: literally like again and like, well, I mean that's that's
- 28:29Speaker 2: a misconception people make, is like, oh, Luca chose, No,
- 28:31Speaker 2: it's not Luke. Anakin is a chosen one. Luke just
- 28:35Speaker 2: made two kids, but it's still or Anakin made two kids,
- 28:38Speaker 2: but Luke or Anakin is still the chosen one because
- 28:41Speaker 2: he's supposed to because he brought balance by bringing the
- 28:43Speaker 2: one to bring balance. But it's because of Anakin. So
- 28:47Speaker 2: you know, I I'm I'm mad at shows over.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Well, I mean I'm happy I got to experience it. Yeah,
- 28:55Speaker 3: but like I said earlier, I am disappointed I don't
- 28:58Speaker 3: have it to watch.
- 29:00Speaker 2: See and now. But now this make does this make
- 29:02Speaker 2: you want to go watch the other shows? It actually does, right,
- 29:07Speaker 2: but makes you want to go watch the other ones
- 29:11Speaker 2: to see like what you've learned or what you've missed,
- 29:13Speaker 2: what you might know. And that's the that's the thing
- 29:15Speaker 2: I love that are doing now? Is it? Like with
- 29:18Speaker 2: and Or, they're showing you just how uh brutal the
- 29:26Speaker 2: Empire really is, because like I said, like even though
- 29:30Speaker 2: like like they're under the empire rule that before the
- 29:33Speaker 2: Empire gets there, they're like doing everything they can to
- 29:35Speaker 2: make sure they don't come, because they know when they come,
- 29:38Speaker 2: they're fun.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Yes, that that aspect, and even in oh shoot, shoot shoot,
- 29:45Speaker 3: what's that show called? And or and or Yeah, I
- 29:49Speaker 3: I I must agree, I think from a chronicle perspective
- 29:54Speaker 3: and like a series a show series, yeah, them doing
- 29:58Speaker 3: that and highlighting like we all know the Empire is
- 30:00Speaker 3: bad mm hmm, but we never got to really see it,
- 30:04Speaker 3: like you said, right, and now that we're getting to
- 30:06Speaker 3: see it, they provide so much more depth to not
- 30:09Speaker 3: only the storylines that we're seeing, but the overall chronicle
- 30:15Speaker 3: of who the empire is.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Right, And like this has been the biggest argument that
- 30:21Speaker 2: oh god, this like theyve been the biggest argument ke Id.
- 30:23Speaker 2: It's actually the big argument that people have now they
- 30:25Speaker 2: about Star Wars, like what we're do you watch it
- 30:27Speaker 2: in It's like do you watch it? Do you watch
- 30:29Speaker 2: it the way it came out or do you watch
- 30:31Speaker 2: it the ray It's supposed to be the number way,
- 30:33Speaker 2: which is like you know one through nine. I'm at
- 30:36Speaker 2: the old Origin where I want to watch the originals
- 30:37Speaker 2: first for the obviously the big twist at Empire. But
- 30:44Speaker 2: at the same time it's like, yeah, but like if
- 30:45Speaker 2: you watch it now in order, well, the issue is
- 30:50Speaker 2: once aecond, we put the dog down. Go see here, mama.
- 30:54Speaker 2: The issue is is you don't hate the Empire as
- 30:56Speaker 2: much because now if you watch everything in chronological order,
- 31:01Speaker 2: when you watch and or then you go right to
- 31:03Speaker 2: the new hope you want any Stormtrooper to burden fucking hell?
- 31:09Speaker 2: Am I right? Ladies? Hm hmm, but no I I
- 31:14Speaker 2: I couldn't be happier with it.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I hope it really inspires them to do more
- 31:24Speaker 3: more of these like major storylines that are still substorylines.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and the thing is with the regime change
- 31:35Speaker 2: at Lucas, it's interesting to see like how they and
- 31:37Speaker 2: like here's the thing, like a lot of people are
- 31:40Speaker 2: more worried about Filoni, who's now the head of like
- 31:42Speaker 2: Creative and they have headed Lucas. I'm not concerned. Honestly,
- 31:46Speaker 2: I've made my opinions clear on that their moorcans are
- 31:49Speaker 2: about his ability with live action. But like here's the thing.
- 31:52Speaker 2: He didn't make this show. He was he was in
- 31:54Speaker 2: charge of it, but he wasn't directing it or anything
- 31:56Speaker 2: like that. He was just producing it. And like again
- 31:59Speaker 2: if this, if if this, that's his bread and Butter's animation,
- 32:02Speaker 2: Like if he did this with just animate it with
- 32:03Speaker 2: just one character like Sky's limit. Because I said, like, yeah,
- 32:07Speaker 2: Rebels is criminal underrated. Clone Wars is obviously underrated, but
- 32:11Speaker 2: like mall like again it I did not expect it
- 32:14Speaker 2: to be this good or no, I didn't expect it
- 32:17Speaker 2: to be this big.
- 32:20Speaker 3: When you say big, what do you mean, like.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Have the I want to say almost like I want
- 32:30Speaker 2: to say, like the ramifications, but like I just thought
- 32:33Speaker 2: it was gonna be just literally him being like I'm
- 32:35Speaker 2: Darth Maul. Fuck you, here's how I become like a
- 32:38Speaker 2: criminal war lord, which it kind of was, but like
- 32:40Speaker 2: I didn't expect it to be on this grant of
- 32:41Speaker 2: a scale where it's literally the Empire Vader all these
- 32:47Speaker 2: warlords because obviously the real look like have you seen
- 32:51Speaker 2: have you seen Solo?
- 32:53Speaker 3: Uh? Yes, I have?
- 32:54Speaker 2: Okay, so like obviously if you've seen Solo, you know
- 32:56Speaker 2: who that one guy is. Like I didn't expect that
- 32:58Speaker 2: like they tied so many who sends together? If that
- 33:00Speaker 2: makes sense?
- 33:02Speaker 3: Yeah, well and I think it cannet expect. The overarching
- 33:06Speaker 3: theme of what we've been talking about is they're they're
- 33:09Speaker 3: making the universe feel more connected.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Right, Okay, but I need your opinion on the beautiful
- 33:21Speaker 4: display of masculinity with Mall crying. Oh, like, how did
- 33:28Speaker 4: that make you feel as a man, or like as
- 33:31Speaker 4: a big fan of Mall and thinking like he's such
- 33:33Speaker 4: this badass and like doesn't have this breath of emotion,
- 33:37Speaker 4: but then you see him crying into like the puddle
- 33:40Speaker 4: of his like reflection.
- 33:42Speaker 3: See. I thought it was beautiful as well.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I thought it was so powerful, especially as for two
- 33:47Speaker 2: guys going through their own mental health journey right now,
- 33:48Speaker 2: it was pretty sweet.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I mean, like for any like fan of mal Right,
- 33:53Speaker 4: like or like like he's saw a strong character and
- 33:56Speaker 4: you like never I guess think just like that he
- 34:01Speaker 4: has right that like emotional struggle and to see that,
- 34:04Speaker 4: I don't know, I thought that was I was like.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Oh my god, well, well even even this connects yet again,
- 34:10Speaker 3: is making the universe for you're more connected? Like that's
- 34:13Speaker 3: a side of a character, right, like a person. It's
- 34:16Speaker 3: not just an image.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Right, like yeah, it's like giving him the yeah, the
- 34:21Speaker 4: depth and the layers. I don't know, I thought that was.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Pretty No, I'm with you, I.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Think, and especially even if if you've watched even if
- 34:30Speaker 2: you haven't watched everything, thanks babe, even if you haven't
- 34:34Speaker 2: watched everything, like yeat, like it brings a lot of
- 34:36Speaker 2: like it brings a lot of that more because like
- 34:37Speaker 2: you know, by this point, he's obviously older, he's like
- 34:40Speaker 2: I say, more tempered, he's more aware of who he
- 34:43Speaker 2: is and like what his strengths and weaknesses are. But
- 34:45Speaker 2: if you have watched everything, you know at that point,
- 34:48Speaker 2: that's just him saying I don't know what the fuck
- 34:51Speaker 2: to do, and like I'm I'm just so fed up
- 34:54Speaker 2: with this Darth sidious bull crap like that, because that's
- 34:57Speaker 2: literally what it is. Like if you've seen Clone Wars,
- 34:59Speaker 2: Rebels and all that, you literally know like that is him,
- 35:04Speaker 2: Like I'm not gonna say like his breaking point, but
- 35:06Speaker 2: like he is truly like my sole mission now was
- 35:08Speaker 2: to kill the Emperor, like I don't care about anything else,
- 35:11Speaker 2: which obviously like he's still doing his goals, like trying
- 35:13Speaker 2: to become like the shadow Lord or like the war
- 35:15Speaker 2: Lord and all that. But yeah, but like but his
- 35:18Speaker 2: main purpose of doing that is to then go after
- 35:20Speaker 2: city is because he knows what that he'll have more
- 35:22Speaker 2: power to do that. And you have more resources and
- 35:25Speaker 2: I'm not gonnay, I'm not even say allies, but more
- 35:27Speaker 2: resources like for example, like Devon. Okay, I'll not it's
- 35:31Speaker 2: it's not a spoiler, but like, let me just tell
- 35:35Speaker 2: you this true. Next time you're have some free time
- 35:39Speaker 2: your repeater, look up Darth Talent. That's essentially where they're
- 35:42Speaker 2: going with this. That was supposed to be. That was
- 35:44Speaker 2: supposed to be essentially where the prequel movies we're gonna go.
- 35:49Speaker 2: For certain reasons, it did not go that direction, which
- 35:51Speaker 2: is fine, But that's essentially where they're going with this.
- 35:55Speaker 2: And I just love that. Like they're not saying that
- 35:57Speaker 2: you're tying that loose end, but it's like they're like,
- 36:01Speaker 2: if you know, you know, like, okay, I know what
- 36:03Speaker 2: you're doing, I know what the fuck you're doing. But
- 36:05Speaker 2: if you don't know, you're like, where is this going?
- 36:07Speaker 2: I want more?
- 36:10Speaker 3: See I did cheat. I saw a video before it
- 36:14Speaker 3: came out. Claim these are like three big things to know.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was one of them, oh the Darth
- 36:21Speaker 2: talent thing.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so so I knew from the start. When
- 36:27Speaker 3: when they made contact, I was like, oh, okay.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Well, I mean it just sucks from now. Were gonna
- 36:33Speaker 2: have to wait for another season whenever that comes out,
- 36:36Speaker 2: because that's the one thing, like animation that takes so
- 36:39Speaker 2: much time. And I said, I thought the animation was
- 36:41Speaker 2: great too. Wasn't too crazy overbearing Vader Lacost, the lightsaber
- 36:49Speaker 2: battles were insane. You'll have to go, I'm trying to
- 36:56Speaker 2: think for you, you'll have to go watch Tales of
- 36:59Speaker 2: the Jedi and then Ahsoka the actual show to see
- 37:02Speaker 2: what happens to those two inquisitors. Not gonna spoil it,
- 37:07Speaker 2: but again, it's just like one of those things, where.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Is there's seven inquisitors right now?
- 37:14Speaker 2: There's a lot more than that. Oh, there's a lot more.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Some are not called and I don't know. I say
- 37:22Speaker 2: they're like supposed to be called like eleventh, like number, brother,
- 37:25Speaker 2: sister or something like that. Some have names for I
- 37:28Speaker 2: can't remember exactly why. It's been too long to said
- 37:29Speaker 2: with the actual thing, but like I think there's actually
- 37:32Speaker 2: I literally said, I think to kill the other day.
- 37:34Speaker 2: I want to say, there's like twenty just all the time.
- 37:36Speaker 3: I had good and they all reported into Vader right.
- 37:40Speaker 2: To a point. Yes, originally no, but then they did. Yes. Yes,
- 37:45Speaker 2: just essentially the best way I say it, because I
- 37:47Speaker 2: even came like so like they're just assassin assassins for Vader.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I'm yeah, it's pretty much the best way to say it.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Their assassins for Vader. I mean, it works, and they're awesome.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Like if you've played if you've ever played like the
- 37:58Speaker 2: Jedi Fallen Order games, you deal with inquisitors in there.
- 38:01Speaker 2: That's not a spoiler, by the way, that's just that's
- 38:03Speaker 2: just who the main attacking this is. There's obviously the
- 38:06Speaker 2: one from or just multiple from the Kenobi show. There's
- 38:09Speaker 2: obviously the ones from this show. Yeah, like if you
- 38:15Speaker 2: can literally go on Google and time like what is
- 38:16Speaker 2: an a quizor like how many are I'll tell it.
- 38:17Speaker 2: You'll tell you in like five seconds. But like it
- 38:21Speaker 2: just again, it just expands that lore because like, and
- 38:25Speaker 2: here's a big argabout like I've had some like I've
- 38:26Speaker 2: heard it's like, oh, we didn't they kill the Jedi.
- 38:28Speaker 2: But it's like, yeah, they killed. They killed a lot
- 38:31Speaker 2: of the people in the Jedi order, but you have
- 38:33Speaker 2: to think in a galaxy that big, there's gonna be
- 38:37Speaker 2: a lot of fucking people.
- 38:40Speaker 3: But a lot of the Jedi ended up joining because
- 38:45Speaker 3: they just didn't want to die.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Well, it wasn't it wasn't so much joining to become
- 38:49Speaker 2: an aquistor because some actually were Jedi originally. It was
- 38:52Speaker 2: actually more so that they were captured and tortured. But
- 38:57Speaker 2: that's not a funny. Sorry, I'm just telling you. That's
- 38:58Speaker 2: pretty much how it went to becoming inquisitors. So but
- 39:03Speaker 2: on a happier note, Yeah, I loved it. I would
- 39:07Speaker 2: give it. I'll give it ten boots out of ten. Oh,
- 39:12Speaker 2: I just like in terms of like I said, like,
- 39:14Speaker 2: I think of all the animated so now give me mine.
- 39:16Speaker 2: It is only one season, but of all the animated shows,
- 39:19Speaker 2: it's definitely my favorite one of like Star Wars. I
- 39:22Speaker 2: I just thought I literally, from like beginning to end,
- 39:25Speaker 2: I just thought it was flawless and perfect, like even
- 39:28Speaker 2: like I love like like some like the slower episodes,
- 39:30Speaker 2: even like we're like these made you want more now,
- 39:34Speaker 2: like in a bad way, but just like like, oh,
- 39:36Speaker 2: like w where's this going? Like, like I like the
- 39:38Speaker 2: first two or three like was it like like it
- 39:40Speaker 2: was nothing, but just like the like the like the
- 39:42Speaker 2: crime Lord shit, like I love I love that shit.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I love that like I love that Underworld like Warlord shit,
- 39:52Speaker 2: especially with Star Wars. Like I just I'm a I'm
- 39:54Speaker 2: a I'm a fucking sucker for that shit.
- 39:57Speaker 3: So, so are you excited for it? Grogu?
- 40:01Speaker 2: I'm very excited. I've been excited since saying I'm okay,
- 40:04Speaker 2: let me before we'll wrap up with this. I understand
- 40:06Speaker 2: the criticism of you're making a movie based off a
- 40:09Speaker 2: TV show when the third season was the least liked
- 40:14Speaker 2: by most.
- 40:15Speaker 3: People, but yeah, it was pretty bad.
- 40:19Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say it was pretty bad. I understand
- 40:22Speaker 2: the criticisms. Let me make that clear. I enjoyed it,
- 40:25Speaker 2: But this is coming from a Star Wars apologies, if
- 40:29Speaker 2: that makes sense. I'm very excited for it because I
- 40:33Speaker 2: think I think with the regime change. Now sure was
- 40:39Speaker 2: Kathleen Kennedy involved with this one hundred percent? This movie
- 40:41Speaker 2: is announced two and a half years ago, but with
- 40:45Speaker 2: all the criticisms they've had, because it's crazy to say
- 40:48Speaker 2: a movie has not come out in six years in
- 40:50Speaker 2: theaters for Star Wars, especially with all the Wait for
- 40:52Speaker 2: Real December twenty nineteen, right before COVID that's when Rise
- 40:57Speaker 2: of Skywalker came out. Yes, everything else has been Disney
- 41:00Speaker 2: plus I it's crazy, right, yeah, so it's it's six
- 41:06Speaker 2: and a half years because it's been seven years this Christmas,
- 41:10Speaker 2: it's crazy. I think they know they know two things.
- 41:16Speaker 2: One people are going into say like, Okay, it's just
- 41:18Speaker 2: it's just could be a TV show movie or not,
- 41:20Speaker 2: Like it's not that it's not a TV show, but
- 41:21Speaker 2: like where you're just putting all the episodes from a
- 41:23Speaker 2: season into one movie, which apparently it's not. And then
- 41:27Speaker 2: two is like, okay, the last time we were in theaters,
- 41:31Speaker 2: by critic and actically box office standards, it did not
- 41:34Speaker 2: go as well as it should have. So or they
- 41:38Speaker 2: wanted let me make that clear as I wanted.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Well, they probably pumped money in thinking that make.
- 41:42Speaker 2: It well again.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:43Speaker 2: For example, Endgame, the conclusion of all those movies broke
- 41:47Speaker 2: the record.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Force Awakens came out what thirteen years ago, which to
- 41:52Speaker 2: say almost it still holds the domestic record. But and
- 41:57Speaker 2: I think it made like one point like what eight
- 41:59Speaker 2: and like me like almost one point something billion dollars.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Rise of Skywalker cracked a billion. I think that's it.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Not that the billions a lot of not a lot
- 42:07Speaker 2: of money, don't get me wrong. But it's like, if
- 42:08Speaker 2: it's the last Star Wars movie que unquote, that should
- 42:11Speaker 2: be an automatic two billion dollar film, but it wasn't.
- 42:15Speaker 2: I liked it. Do I understand the critique of the
- 42:18Speaker 2: one big plot thing in the movie one hundred percent
- 42:24Speaker 2: somehow I get it. But I'm excited now the thing? Now,
- 42:29Speaker 2: what's gonna be curious? Though? Supposed to the movies two
- 42:31Speaker 2: hours and twenty minutes. That's good. That's gonna be interesting
- 42:36Speaker 2: to see how they keep people engaged at long.
- 42:38Speaker 3: I'm all for it, but we should have a full
- 42:42Speaker 3: panel on that topic.
- 42:43Speaker 2: What does a lot of movies in general?
- 42:45Speaker 3: Yeah, movie length? Because I have some strong feelings.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Oh, I've been saying for years intermissions need to come back.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Hmmm, Nope, pull our opposite.
- 42:56Speaker 2: What what if you gonna pee?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Don't? I am of the opinion that the movie going
- 43:09Speaker 3: experience is in itself an experience.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I am, and if you agree the movies you.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Should go for an extent amount of time I eat
- 43:19Speaker 3: three hours, is okay, and be prepared to not use
- 43:22Speaker 3: the bathroom or do what you need to do before
- 43:25Speaker 3: and after.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but when when they're giving when they're giving
- 43:30Speaker 2: you that giant cup of a beverage.
- 43:33Speaker 3: No, no, no, they're not giving it to you.
- 43:35Speaker 2: You know. Okay, okay, free will? You are one hundred
- 43:38Speaker 2: percent correct, We do have free will. Well, we'll do
- 43:41Speaker 2: well to do that for as a different episode, because
- 43:42Speaker 2: like I think you and I can go in different
- 43:44Speaker 2: a lot of not even just about like this movie
- 43:46Speaker 2: theaters and movie experience in general.
- 43:47Speaker 3: I love movies, no.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Literally, actually we even do it. Caitlin, I saw Double
- 43:52Speaker 2: Wars product last week. I thought, and she says, the
- 43:56Speaker 2: sequel one of the best, and I agree. I thought
- 43:57Speaker 2: as a sequel, I thought they knocked it out the
- 43:59Speaker 2: fucking part.
- 44:00Speaker 3: I feel like they so. I haven't seen it, but
- 44:03Speaker 3: I feel like you'd have to write like.
- 44:04Speaker 2: You can know with with that you have to But again,
- 44:07Speaker 2: like the like all okay spoiled, like with the story
- 44:09Speaker 2: they told and here okay per for example, the story
- 44:14Speaker 2: they told and the movie Land. I think it was
- 44:16Speaker 2: like a north a little bit two hours did not
- 44:19Speaker 2: feel like that. And by the way, I did it
- 44:21Speaker 2: go to the bathroom because I got myself a bevy.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It was delicious. We'll actually know. The bevy beverage I
- 44:26Speaker 2: had was decent. I gotta I got an adult beverage.
- 44:28Speaker 2: It was okay. But when I came back, didn't feel
- 44:32Speaker 2: like I didn't miss anything. Is asked something I could again,
- 44:35Speaker 2: I could have. I could literally asked Kaitlin what I
- 44:37Speaker 2: miss She explained to me, great, cool, got it missed
- 44:39Speaker 2: two minutes? Cool, nothing major. And because it's the thing too,
- 44:44Speaker 2: even with certain movie flows, you know when something's gonna happen,
- 44:48Speaker 2: not saying like you know what, like you can kind
- 44:50Speaker 2: of get that, you can kind of get the gist over,
- 44:51Speaker 2: like the pacing of it a little bit. But I
- 44:55Speaker 2: do agree with you though, like going to see a
- 44:58Speaker 2: movie is not just going to see a movie itself.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It's experience, like one of my favorite experiences ever. And
- 45:04Speaker 2: he's and he still hasn't been a movie in twenty
- 45:06Speaker 2: three years because of just like with his health is
- 45:08Speaker 2: my dad, he isn't. The last movie he saw was
- 45:10Speaker 2: Return of the Kinge And that's one of my favorite
- 45:12Speaker 2: experiences because I remember that neither of us went to
- 45:14Speaker 2: the bathroom.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Yep, we.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Still make fun of how we got up fifty seven
- 45:20Speaker 2: times at the end because they did like fifty seven
- 45:21Speaker 2: blackouts to go to a different seat at the end.
- 45:25Speaker 2: And that was in the old school theaters where it
- 45:27Speaker 2: was just those old seats that only the seat went
- 45:31Speaker 2: down and you felt like your back winds against like
- 45:33Speaker 2: a metal sheet of paper. And like again, he still
- 45:37Speaker 2: doesn't he stills, I mean, he seemed he still doesn't
- 45:39Speaker 2: believe the recliner things like that's like why I said,
- 45:40Speaker 2: like what I asked him, if you want to go
- 45:42Speaker 2: see this? And I think we just couldn't make it work.
- 45:43Speaker 2: But I told my like when we go see a movie,
- 45:46Speaker 2: it's gonna be it needs to be a movie. I
- 45:47Speaker 2: think it's like, like it needs to be a movie
- 45:48Speaker 2: that not that like Star Wars isn't worth it. He's
- 45:50Speaker 2: the guy who showed me Star Wars. But it's like
- 45:52Speaker 2: it needs to be a mood that like really goes like, Okay,
- 45:53Speaker 2: try we gotta go see this movie. Like but no,
- 45:58Speaker 2: I'm I'm excited I did for it. To answer your question,
- 46:02Speaker 2: ten minutes go classic adych rambling on truck but no,
- 46:05Speaker 2: I'm very excited. But they recently did UH. And here's
- 46:09Speaker 2: the thing. People don't think this may be like a
- 46:11Speaker 2: lot of money. I think it's gonna make decent money
- 46:16Speaker 2: because people think I get it was Star Wars. It's
- 46:18Speaker 2: like that should make a billion. Yes, I agree with you,
- 46:21Speaker 2: but times have changed. Things are different. People don't have
- 46:24Speaker 2: that money anymore. It's not exactly cheap to go to
- 46:26Speaker 2: movies either. But like they did a thing across the
- 46:28Speaker 2: country where they did UH like previews. It wasn't like
- 46:33Speaker 2: if it wasn't like an invite thing. It was like
- 46:35Speaker 2: you had to go on like websites purchase a tick.
- 46:37Speaker 2: I think I don't know if you to purchase a ticket.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I think you said. I think it was just like
- 46:40Speaker 2: a like a random selection thing almost. And it was
- 46:45Speaker 2: completely All the theaters across the country did it fully booked,
- 46:48Speaker 2: and they showed the first I think twenty five minutes
- 46:50Speaker 2: in the movie. They should also show the first twenty
- 46:52Speaker 2: five minutes at cinema con. It's like the movie theater
- 46:54Speaker 2: union thing where they try to be like, hey put more,
- 46:57Speaker 2: put our movie on more screens. And by all accounts,
- 47:00Speaker 2: they showed the first twenty five minutes with them too,
- 47:02Speaker 2: and all they simply said was this movie kicks ass.
- 47:06Speaker 2: They go right too right away, and any questions you
- 47:09Speaker 2: have about it going in, you know, this is not
- 47:11Speaker 2: a TV show. This is a fucking movie. Like, great,
- 47:13Speaker 2: that's all I need to know. I was gonna see
- 47:15Speaker 2: it anywhere, but that's all I need to know. So
- 47:19Speaker 2: I just got confirmation, like, oh great, everyone's saying that
- 47:22Speaker 2: my worries are Now. There's an other two hours after that,
- 47:27Speaker 2: so we'll see what happens. But it's like, hey, the
- 47:28Speaker 2: first twenty minutes are that good. I'm fine with that.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I'm excited. It just sucks now I have to wait
- 47:34Speaker 2: two more weeks, three more weeks. It's a twenty second
- 47:38Speaker 2: so it's yeah, it's like two and a half weeks.
- 47:40Speaker 2: But now, dude, I'm pumped any Star Wars anything, I'm
- 47:43Speaker 2: always pumped. You know that, you of all people know that.
- 47:45Speaker 3: But it's it's gonna be a good time, honestly.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Yeah, well we had a good time here. I'm gonna
- 47:52Speaker 2: wrap up here because like, yeah, we went a little
- 47:53Speaker 2: overdo apologize for that. So I want to think, uh,
