- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of Not in a Lot Football
- 0:07Speaker 1: Podcast from Rosie mcguires and Cabo Roy. This is last
- 0:11Speaker 1: final podcast one our travels with myself, Simon Only and
- 0:14Speaker 1: Jackie m.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And I've got a fantastic guest start, Alan Thompson. How
- 0:19Speaker 2: are we to.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Afternoon, guy? It's nice to be nice to see you
- 0:23Speaker 3: last night again, got in about three o'clock this morning. Yes,
- 0:26Speaker 3: so early night, nice and fresh today has for you.
- 0:31Speaker 3: So by night, not sure about early, but nice and
- 0:34Speaker 3: fresh today A butt a.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Bit tired, good man, make up for that later.
- 0:38Speaker 3: So how I good? All right? I've been looking forward
- 0:41Speaker 3: to coming away.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You've obviously following Shelter. This season's been yes season.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yes, it's been touch and go. Yeah, great end of
- 0:50Speaker 3: the season.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Do you think we were going to do it?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Not after done the United I didn't, but then the
- 0:56Speaker 3: further it went on after that, when it gets the
- 0:58Speaker 3: two three games to go, and but last injury timement mother,
- 1:02Speaker 3: well I'm thinking, ah came over and then the pency
- 1:05Speaker 3: penalty Inton that occurs and then you think that's a lessing, yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 3: and then it's in your hands then in it so yeah,
- 1:12Speaker 3: now I thoroughly enjoyed it.
- 1:13Speaker 1: We have Gaffer at the film again twenty five or
- 1:18Speaker 1: years later.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Unbelievable.
- 1:20Speaker 2: He brought you to the club. Can you talk us
- 1:22Speaker 2: through that back then?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah? Remember he tried to sign As before he come
- 1:26Speaker 3: to Celtic when he was less manager. I tried to
- 1:29Speaker 3: sign As at Leicester and I didn't sign for him
- 1:30Speaker 3: at Leicester. I went to Villa instead, So obviously I
- 1:33Speaker 3: was obviously on his radar. I think John Robertson addressed
- 1:37Speaker 3: his soul. I think he was a bit of a
- 1:39Speaker 3: fan of mine row Bone. I think he pushed it
- 1:40Speaker 3: with a gaffer when they come to Celtic because I
- 1:43Speaker 3: was out of the picture at Villa, so it was
- 1:46Speaker 3: just progress from there.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He and again they had Tommy Johnson on elther On
- 1:50Speaker 1: came to Villa as well. The enormity of the club,
- 1:53Speaker 1: of the size of the club, did you realize before
- 1:55Speaker 1: he came to Celtic.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Well, I had an idea, you know, the size of
- 1:59Speaker 3: it from the past and stuff like that. I played
- 2:01Speaker 3: with a lot of lads who played for Celic the
- 2:02Speaker 3: Boat and John McKinley, obviously Celtic fan. Handy Walker played
- 2:06Speaker 3: in Solid Won't called Big Celtic fan Stevie Fulton. So
- 2:09Speaker 3: these lads, Steve MCNs, these these these were just on
- 2:13Speaker 3: about celic all the time, so you knew the normody
- 2:15Speaker 3: of it. But I don't think it's until you get
- 2:17Speaker 3: in the door you realize actually how big it is.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Absolutely loved every minute, but yeah, not so much the
- 2:24Speaker 3: last six months. But yeah, that was a bit of
- 2:28Speaker 3: a fucking drag, you know, not playing and stuff like that,
- 2:31Speaker 3: training with Kenny McDowell, the kids and stuff like that.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Especially for me.
- 2:37Speaker 5: I think, you know, one of Martin's best, one of
- 2:40Speaker 5: the best signings what you achieved.
- 2:42Speaker 4: And I think I haven't seen that here.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I think that some of the games, the Angels games,
- 2:49Speaker 5: you know, big games that you produced in.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Some unbelievable some unbelievable goals in that period and all.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I mean people say it, yeah, like oh you're a
- 2:59Speaker 3: big game player, but I don't know what it is.
- 3:01Speaker 3: It just seemed the big games don't bring the best
- 3:04Speaker 3: out of your what But no disrespect to I don't know,
- 3:07Speaker 3: Dune thee on a Tuesday night or mother Well on
- 3:10Speaker 3: a Wednesday night. You know in January they're big games
- 3:13Speaker 3: as well. But it's just you're still given the same
- 3:16Speaker 3: amount of energy and you know your dedication and your
- 3:19Speaker 3: preparation and all that. It's just I don't know you
- 3:21Speaker 3: in the right place at the right time. In big games,
- 3:23Speaker 3: I do not. So you know they Liverpool games.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And Many goes the World Pool game. Yeah, many goes
- 3:30Speaker 2: to get a change eight.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Seven seven, Yeah, Simon texts it was eight the other week,
- 3:35Speaker 3: but it was get mixed up with your number of it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: It was definitely.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We've discussed it before because animal got one on and
- 3:43Speaker 1: you're certain one.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Night I think it was here.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I'd love to be able to give you one.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But if this camera I says a many do you
- 3:52Speaker 2: score on you? But just seven?
- 3:54Speaker 3: It was your favorite? One favorite one probably be at
- 3:58Speaker 3: Selic Park nil nil five minutes to go when you
- 4:00Speaker 3: smash comes out of the box and I take a
- 4:02Speaker 3: touch and slash it around Fernando Rickson and in off
- 4:06Speaker 3: the ball. I don't know why I closs dive because
- 4:07Speaker 3: he wasn't fucking saving it. But you know, it's always
- 4:11Speaker 3: nice to score, and especially when you win.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah, so you've had like you come into that dressing
- 4:18Speaker 1: and they touched on it all over with the big
- 4:19Speaker 1: characters did.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You find it easy to come into that new Stumpsy before?
- 4:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and you Stubbsy Tommy. Tommy Johnson told me sud
- 4:29Speaker 3: I come across a little bit as well. So not
- 4:32Speaker 3: many bigger characters than him, bigger toss pots in him.
- 4:36Speaker 5: No, but there's a game just before when we play Diyacs.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Is that you know that.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I come in just a day or two after the
- 4:44Speaker 3: sixth two game when you beat Rangers six to two.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So I watched the sixth two game from Villa Park.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Villa were playing Chelsea that day and I wasn't involved,
- 4:52Speaker 3: and you was coming to Glasgow the next day. So
- 4:53Speaker 3: I watched the sixth two game and I come in
- 4:56Speaker 3: the day after that, and then the IAX games. I
- 4:59Speaker 3: was just ended because I've been sent off European game
- 5:03Speaker 3: for Villa, so I watched the games from the stand.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Was the Chapels quarter file, Yeah, I played, You played,
- 5:11Speaker 3: then you think Bobby played? Then he Bobby, Bobby.
- 5:16Speaker 5: And Lenny all right, so obviously would have probably been new.
- 5:20Speaker 5: But then that fall weekend that was me back at
- 5:22Speaker 5: the team. You come in the next game, yep, that
- 5:28Speaker 5: was keeping this one for you A.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Long time ago, man, long time ago. Now when you
- 5:33Speaker 3: think about it, Jesus, we've talked about the gaffellow seeing him.
- 5:37Speaker 3: He got a cup of tickets for the Cup final
- 5:39Speaker 3: against dun Filman the other week, so arranged to go
- 5:42Speaker 3: to the That was driving up from Manchester. So he said,
- 5:44Speaker 3: just come to the hotel me that the team hotel
- 5:46Speaker 3: and Dakata in Eurocentral. Get there for four o'clock. He said,
- 5:49Speaker 3: I'll be there for four. Drive from Manchester three hours
- 5:53Speaker 3: fifteen minutes on a Friday, and they got there five
- 5:56Speaker 3: to four. Got me missus in rose Wells and all
- 5:59Speaker 3: that on me as well, get a drink before and
- 6:02Speaker 3: I was driving, so get a glass away. Now sitting
- 6:05Speaker 3: waiting or four five o'clock hard five, I'm arranging Allan,
- 6:12Speaker 3: the Specs guy for the for the Shades. We ranged
- 6:14Speaker 3: to meet him at my hotel. Rather we traded about
- 6:16Speaker 3: or five Specs appeal here, so we ranged to meet
- 6:19Speaker 3: him hard five. Martin turns over at the quart of
- 6:22Speaker 3: at seven o'clock. Honestly three hours, three hours late. But
- 6:26Speaker 3: I couldn't leave because he had his two tickets for
- 6:29Speaker 3: the game. So that was in a not on effect
- 6:33Speaker 3: for me. Seeing Alan about the sunglasses and then I
- 6:35Speaker 3: had a restaurant book had to put the restaurant back
- 6:37Speaker 3: on nine o'clock, so he stood us up. But that
- 6:41Speaker 3: was good, he was good. Had a bit chat with them,
- 6:43Speaker 3: only for ten minutes.
- 6:43Speaker 1: But I think that's the thing that obviously I haven't
- 6:45Speaker 1: looked on the music guys then, but I think that's it.
- 6:47Speaker 2: He always looks at for his his Oh.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I think if you've played for him and you've done
- 6:53Speaker 3: well for him, Yeah, he'll always make time, whether it's
- 6:56Speaker 3: a phone call or if you're in the area, try
- 7:00Speaker 3: and catch up for a couple of te or a
- 7:01Speaker 3: coffee in that you know that team as well.
- 7:04Speaker 1: So you bet, you bet it's all two thousand and
- 7:06Speaker 1: three narrowly missed it and that did you score the
- 7:09Speaker 1: following year against Munich.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Munich was at the fat a couple of times as
- 7:15Speaker 2: we really closer.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's obviously when the European Cup the following year,
- 7:20Speaker 1: a lot have beaten the scored by on and those
- 7:23Speaker 1: two late goals may my guy. Yeah, you always like
- 7:28Speaker 1: I feel that team could have if they just got
- 7:30Speaker 1: that a lot. I think we've got ourselves in some
- 7:32Speaker 1: good position. We just I don't know if it was
- 7:35Speaker 1: a mental thing. But we we played against good teams
- 7:37Speaker 1: and got ourselves in good positions in the game. And
- 7:40Speaker 1: then whether it was whether it was erarors or just
- 7:44Speaker 1: a mentality thing or its headman throw on and off.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Now, but we did. We got close but not close enough.
- 7:53Speaker 2: And then you went into management of the learning and stuff.
- 7:55Speaker 2: How did you find that?
- 7:57Speaker 3: I loved it? Loved it. Yeah, well I've kind of
- 7:59Speaker 3: done me a print ship, management, coaching, whatever you want
- 8:02Speaker 3: to call it, Newcastle and stuff. And Lenny was doing
- 8:05Speaker 3: the same job at Celtic as it was when Tony
- 8:07Speaker 3: Morebray was a manager. So me and Lennie arrange friendlies
- 8:10Speaker 3: against each other on the twenty ones. And so I
- 8:13Speaker 3: was at Newcastle. They're doing the twenty ones. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 3: And Lenny was doing the twenty ones. It selic and
- 8:18Speaker 3: then he just ran and said, look, I've got to
- 8:21Speaker 3: care take a job. If I get it full time,
- 8:23Speaker 3: fancy coming up. He's being at Newcastle two or three
- 8:26Speaker 3: years and I loved it. And that was how that
- 8:28Speaker 3: come about.
- 8:28Speaker 1: When he got the job was ACI because we have
- 8:31Speaker 1: any management will be back. So when you're a player,
- 8:33Speaker 1: I think that's quite selfish. You look after yourself. I'll
- 8:35Speaker 1: be back even though it's a team game. Yeah, you
- 8:37Speaker 1: get twenty plush boys. Yeah, you're responsible and.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Completely different the fact that's Celtic. Yeah, did you think
- 8:43Speaker 2: more than playing without a doubt?
- 8:45Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, you don't switch off. You're like you say,
- 8:50Speaker 3: as a player, you look after yourself. You go and
- 8:53Speaker 3: you get yourself, you get sessions done, you do your
- 8:55Speaker 3: personal stuff, whatever you need to do, and you're a whale. Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 3: not as a not as a coach or a manager
- 9:00Speaker 3: that you want to call them. You just can't switch off.
- 9:03Speaker 3: And then not only that, like you say, you're at
- 9:05Speaker 3: Celtic where you expected the winning and you're espected the
- 9:09Speaker 3: win playing a certain way as well, you know. So,
- 9:13Speaker 3: But we had some we had some good kids at
- 9:14Speaker 3: that time.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Who was the bast that he kind of lot of coaching.
- 9:18Speaker 3: That we had at the time. Chris Commons was he
- 9:22Speaker 3: was you know, we played down the road in England.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Chris was a good one to have around. Gary hoop
- 9:26Speaker 3: I was on fire at the time. Joe Ledley was
- 9:28Speaker 3: a good sort big phrase of four ster. Obviously, Brownie
- 9:32Speaker 3: was a standout in terms of captain against characters.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Some Foundation games were a few of their boys that
- 9:41Speaker 2: you can still tell.
- 9:42Speaker 3: When I was in now we had some strong big Georgie.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Sam Rass was a he was a good you know that.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Then you had some good young Calum McGregor coming through.
- 9:52Speaker 3: He was just starting a train, you know, career he's
- 9:55Speaker 3: gone on to have since then. You could always see
- 9:58Speaker 3: he was quality. Good play about unbelievable. That unbelievable.
- 10:04Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Actually mcgree girl for us the medals that the one, yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 1: if you put them together.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Before that as well.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So what you're doing nowadays, keep inside and just keeping
- 10:18Speaker 1: out of trouble, keeping out of trouble.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Your T shirt. I'm having your T shirt when you're
- 10:24Speaker 2: lucky enough to go into the gigs.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I wasn't, but I've heard a little rumor that all
- 10:29Speaker 3: might be playing at Celtic Pork for four or five
- 10:31Speaker 3: gigs next game. So I've put feel little feelers.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You know, i want the Celtic TV. I'm going to
- 10:37Speaker 1: give us away. I've said I'm going to hide in
- 10:39Speaker 1: an office if I've got the five ye, I'm going
- 10:41Speaker 1: to hide in an office just appear full of gigs.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Did I tell you this story about we went to
- 10:46Speaker 3: see oases Barrelands. Yes, Ago, I think we played more
- 10:49Speaker 3: well away.
- 10:50Speaker 1: By the way, I missed that one, so I just
- 10:52Speaker 1: left a year on the bat. That's the one that's
- 10:54Speaker 1: on YouTube. Martin News there that night learning I'm.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Not sure if Marton was there. Now those those would
- 11:00Speaker 3: play the game. So it was after the game, so
- 11:02Speaker 3: we hadn't really had anything to eat. So back the
- 11:04Speaker 3: Celtic pot O jeans on. So there's Jackie, myself, Lenny,
- 11:09Speaker 3: Roddy McDonald and doctor. There was another one, but I
- 11:12Speaker 3: can't think all the other one would have been. It
- 11:14Speaker 3: wouldn't have been Stay because that's not he's cut with
- 11:16Speaker 3: tea in. Anyways, we're having a pint before and barrel
- 11:19Speaker 3: Lance and Lenny gets his snooks out, you know, his
- 11:21Speaker 3: little snooze that he hasn't Lenny does his snooze and
- 11:23Speaker 3: he gets there a bit of that and Jackie not
- 11:26Speaker 3: a smoke or anything like that. Jack he went a
- 11:28Speaker 3: couple of paints. Lenny, give us a bit of that.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Next thing, Jackie's had that. Two minutes later, Jackie has
- 11:33Speaker 3: found like this absolutely smart. Would the naked teens just
- 11:37Speaker 3: wipe them out? So the docs give them Jackie a
- 11:39Speaker 3: better you get them in the right position and all that,
- 11:42Speaker 3: and next thing the security comes through from the boys,
- 11:48Speaker 3: Oasis boys, and then it was one of the main men. Anyway,
- 11:51Speaker 3: I understand. The Celtic doctors were here and Roddy's like, yeah, yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 3: went oh Liam's not feeling so well and doesn't think
- 11:57Speaker 3: you can go on stage. Can you come through and
- 11:58Speaker 3: see him. Roddy would, well, I'll come and see him,
- 12:00Speaker 3: but I can't do anything. I've had four pints I
- 12:02Speaker 3: get stroked off of So the guy went all right,
- 12:05Speaker 3: go back and comes back through again. He went no,
- 12:06Speaker 3: Liam said you need to come and see him, and
- 12:08Speaker 3: Ronnie was adamant. He wasn't going in to see Liam
- 12:11Speaker 3: Gallagher because he had four or five pints. And I
- 12:14Speaker 3: think he come on stage for the first half hour, Lame,
- 12:16Speaker 3: but he didn't finish the gig because he so the
- 12:20Speaker 3: dot fucked off Lame Gallagher and Jack he was unconscious.
- 12:24Speaker 3: It was a good night, but that was in Barreland.
- 12:27Speaker 2: He never got to see him. So that'll be it
- 12:30Speaker 2: next year if it's fine, hope that goes through.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Amazingly, brilliant, amazing I just signed the Celtic and tour
- 12:38Speaker 1: and it was you two it was and managed to
- 12:42Speaker 1: sneak and on the ground starf So I try to
- 12:45Speaker 1: do that again.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Well they've got a connection and was Celtic and Irish
- 12:49Speaker 3: and yeah, and then the song they play the song
- 12:52Speaker 3: before the game cel what was it?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Rolled with it.
- 12:56Speaker 5: The class remember that he's just one because because I
- 13:02Speaker 5: didn't I've never smoked. And then when they gave me
- 13:05Speaker 5: it finished my night.
- 13:07Speaker 1: It was it was another there was another oasis that
- 13:10Speaker 1: Martin was there, I'm sure just throwing about the starting night.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Robble was there as well, and do you know tell
- 13:15Speaker 1: the story that he met Johnny mar Johnny Marbles the
- 13:18Speaker 1: guitarist when New.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Order, right, maybe they went to the gig somewhere what
- 13:23Speaker 5: they do on and Martin I was bidding because no
- 13:27Speaker 5: Gallaher had signed a Celtic strip and we were a
- 13:31Speaker 5: function and I was bidden for it. When the boys
- 13:33Speaker 5: were at the table and Martin started against me.
- 13:37Speaker 2: I think I was like yeah, and I was up
- 13:41Speaker 2: against the game. I had to just.
- 13:45Speaker 3: No same, let them have it.
- 13:46Speaker 4: But he bore it and he said, if you win
- 13:49Speaker 4: the league, son, I'll give you like the next day
- 13:52Speaker 4: he said to me. But when we did win the league.
- 13:54Speaker 3: But I never go to the top.
- 13:58Speaker 2: On that note, which John Hatson's.
- 14:04Speaker 1: There, Oh yeah, yeah, so he's put your old gaffer,
- 14:07Speaker 1: he's patrol gaffer on the squad said well you come
- 14:10Speaker 1: on the podcast and he says, if we win the league.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I did win the league. Will being some promising. You
- 14:15Speaker 4: need to hold them promising.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Absolutely need to get him on. I was going to
- 14:19Speaker 3: come down to Johnson, but I'd been up about ten
- 14:21Speaker 3: days before I played up was sadly singing Frank mcavenny
- 14:26Speaker 3: and it's five hours from me getting there. Easy to
- 14:29Speaker 3: get to talk to paying in the backside and get
- 14:32Speaker 3: them from once you get the call Oisle. Yeah, it's
- 14:35Speaker 3: not bad for you. It down from Glasgow. It's not bad.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Some player so special. We played the ailside. It's beautiful.
- 14:46Speaker 2: It's a beautiful course.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Who was speaking after the dinner.
- 14:50Speaker 2: It was Scott Brown, podcaster and it was really good.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Potentially assistant, potential assistant.
- 14:59Speaker 2: We had him on the podcast. He put them on
- 15:00Speaker 2: the spot. It was a little bit coy and he
- 15:04Speaker 2: was put on the Sport that night as well.
- 15:05Speaker 5: When the story before with Martin, they seen Martin lose
- 15:10Speaker 5: it and then one of the times.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Was when Tom got sent over for five Brooks one
- 15:16Speaker 3: of the fucking type Wells sent off.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I got three on fair, they said, Jim the backstadium,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you've just seen Red.
- 15:29Speaker 4: No, the one the loving transfer was embarrassing.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that was never Red. He just took the head
- 15:36Speaker 3: on him. He tried to apologize those yes later as
- 15:39Speaker 3: well to it then too yellous. Yeah, that was a
- 15:44Speaker 3: straight game.
- 15:45Speaker 4: It was Martin's second game and it was five one,
- 15:49Speaker 4: and he came in after the game and went for him.
- 15:51Speaker 3: It was my it was. It was the whole firm
- 15:53Speaker 3: game after the six two, so it was the one
- 15:55Speaker 3: we took one after that, Eyebrooks, he just and it
- 15:58Speaker 3: was one one little I've whipped the corner and Henrick
- 16:02Speaker 3: gets it back to one one with the header cell
- 16:04Speaker 3: again and then they go and score straight after Hendrix
- 16:07Speaker 3: goes to one. You has gone a little bit and
- 16:10Speaker 3: I just misstime the tackle second yellow one and so
- 16:13Speaker 3: it goes off and then I'm in the dressing room
- 16:15Speaker 3: and Eyebrocks and all I hear is three one four
- 16:19Speaker 3: one after the game and he went for as the
- 16:23Speaker 3: guy for like which you know was one. You're still
- 16:27Speaker 3: in the game. They just went for a coward and
- 16:31Speaker 3: all that. I didn't want to be out there, and
- 16:34Speaker 3: he's like, there's me. I'm saying, I'm not a coward.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I'm not. I didn't bottle it and all that. Shut
- 16:41Speaker 3: up to just shut up.
- 16:43Speaker 2: You said you watched the sex to a game before?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Was that your first?
- 16:47Speaker 3: That was my first? One five one? Yeah, but when
- 16:52Speaker 3: Martin was saying, you fucking ship but yeah, fucking you
- 16:57Speaker 3: just get luded. And I was renting house and Newton Men's.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I got back to the house that night. We've got
- 17:03Speaker 3: a Chinese takeaway and I said to me, ex missus,
- 17:06Speaker 3: that's all I'm referring to. It was, I said, because
- 17:10Speaker 3: we're going to buy said I don't think we should
- 17:11Speaker 3: buy a house. Because when rented place up down in
- 17:14Speaker 3: Newton Men's next to Tommy and Stubbsy and boating veicos
- 17:17Speaker 3: and all that around there, you and me, I'll be
- 17:19Speaker 3: Johnny Gold big scorer. When I said I don't think
- 17:22Speaker 3: we should buy a house, she said what I went,
- 17:24Speaker 3: I might. I think I'll be going after that today,
- 17:27Speaker 3: I said, what happened on the pitch, and then what
- 17:28Speaker 3: happened in the dress room, said I could be done.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Don't behold the next one back to tell the one
- 17:35Speaker 3: one nil and I scored so kind of redeemed myself
- 17:37Speaker 3: after that.
- 17:38Speaker 1: So he's had to go into the game Monday morning,
- 17:41Speaker 1: command to day andress again.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Me is kind of think he addressed it through the week,
- 17:45Speaker 3: He led it. He let it go for a few
- 17:47Speaker 3: days until he pulled us in and told us I'd
- 17:50Speaker 3: been getting done two weeks wages and stuff like that
- 17:52Speaker 3: and get some bobs. So yeah, definitely let it fester
- 17:57Speaker 3: the seven goals after that to do something after getting
- 18:02Speaker 3: three redcords.
- 18:04Speaker 2: He was just talking about.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And obviously there was a well documented story with you.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Was it you and Fernando wreckson your neighbor he.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Lived, He lived on the street. Ronald the Burr was
- 18:14Speaker 3: my neighbor. Fernando lived further around you.
- 18:17Speaker 2: What was that again?
- 18:19Speaker 3: Twice? It was twice. There was one at Celtic Park
- 18:24Speaker 3: when remember towards the end of the game. So he
- 18:27Speaker 3: scores a chip, Yes, chips cloth great brilliant and he'd
- 18:33Speaker 3: already been to me dof and and at the end
- 18:35Speaker 3: of the season before when we lost against Kill, when
- 18:38Speaker 3: we beat Kill, Marnic and dun Ferman got beat. Didn't
- 18:42Speaker 3: play with was it? Yeah? It was so he'd already
- 18:47Speaker 3: been to me door that night, fire works through the
- 18:49Speaker 3: letter box and that, and so I ran Ronald the burn,
- 18:55Speaker 3: I said, Ronald, you better get your mate away from
- 18:56Speaker 3: the door. You know they won the league. Who's obviously
- 18:59Speaker 3: being out in Glasgow whre the lads having a few
- 19:01Speaker 3: pints come chatting on the door three o'clock in the
- 19:03Speaker 3: morning and not on anyways. So when Sock he scored
- 19:07Speaker 3: the chip the following season, we celebrate down there when
- 19:10Speaker 3: where the subs are warming up to celebrate running back
- 19:13Speaker 3: to the half wheel, and I've give him a little
- 19:14Speaker 3: clap on a chip, give him one of them. I said,
- 19:16Speaker 3: don't be knocking on my door again like that. So
- 19:19Speaker 3: that night he comes banging on the door with a
- 19:21Speaker 3: big bull master thing that he had, trying to get
- 19:23Speaker 3: us to come down and have a bit roll about
- 19:25Speaker 3: with them, but he was he was an absolute fruit loop.
- 19:29Speaker 3: And then you had the other lads who like the
- 19:32Speaker 3: bur quiet Michael Males, quiet tour and rear floor. We
- 19:37Speaker 3: all lived in the same area. And then you had
- 19:39Speaker 3: that lunatic short of lads here another quiet lady could
- 19:44Speaker 3: played him by the but yeah, then Fernando god dressed
- 19:47Speaker 3: and so he was just an absolute mood. So I
- 19:50Speaker 3: had some confrontations on and off the pitch. Good BAERs
- 19:57Speaker 3: Man music, your music music, No, not as much as you.
- 20:01Speaker 3: I like a bit of bumping into the old mate
- 20:03Speaker 3: Ian Brown now and again down.
- 20:04Speaker 2: In Limb's talk about that.
- 20:06Speaker 3: I'm desperate together. I'm desperate to get a little video
- 20:08Speaker 3: for you. I will get your video.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I want more than a video. You promised me. Meet
- 20:13Speaker 2: the guy.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Oh, come to Limb. Honestly coming around all the time.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Text your topic me, text you, text me to invite
- 20:19Speaker 1: me to what's the charity don it's coming up and
- 20:23Speaker 1: come at your table.
- 20:24Speaker 3: That's up in Glasgow and it yeah mate for Mark McCosh.
- 20:30Speaker 2: That's spend Septemble team August August.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I think I have to check. Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So we've got here last year and you were talking
- 20:39Speaker 2: about it and you just quite calmly.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'll always slapped your seven goals and against Rangels you
- 20:44Speaker 1: slapped and Ian Brown your neighbors right Stoore Roses there
- 20:49Speaker 1: for me the best oasis of.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Top ten behind them?
- 20:53Speaker 4: Did you.
- 20:55Speaker 2: He's Gottes don't happen. Stone Roses don't happen.
- 20:58Speaker 3: And my so, Ian, Yeah, lives in the village. See
- 21:02Speaker 3: him in the village all the time, walking around, have
- 21:04Speaker 3: a bit chat with him. Absolute legend. But honestly, because
- 21:07Speaker 3: I didn't know who he was. I knew who the
- 21:08Speaker 3: Stone Roses were. But then when I moved the limb
- 21:10Speaker 3: the village, I living down in Chesha, and he gets
- 21:14Speaker 3: pointed out that's he and Brown. Who's Ian Brown Stone Roses.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, the Stone that's the lead singer, is it.
- 21:20Speaker 3: So eventually got chatting him. So he's in the coffee
- 21:22Speaker 3: shops and all that. He just keeps hisself to hisself,
- 21:26Speaker 3: hair halfway down his back. I've seen him the other
- 21:29Speaker 3: day in and all clapped up Volvo outside the post office.
- 21:33Speaker 3: All right, Ian, alright, me ledge and he just he
- 21:40Speaker 3: speaks to everyone, you know, he just poppers around and
- 21:42Speaker 3: he's added a skiar and so unas human.

- 21:47Speaker 3: I'd love to get into that.
