Speaker 1: All right, got a few things for you here, I'll
• 0:08
  take them all right.
• 0:10
Speaker 2: So well, let's begin with We got several trailers, but
• 0:14
the first one we're gonna take a look at is
• 0:16
we finally got a good look at this movie I
• 0:19
told you about before called The Electric State, which is
• 0:24
Netflix movie. It's one of the most expensive Netflix movies
• 0:28
  that they've ever made.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: Refresh me, I don't remember this is? Yeah, Okay.
• 0:33
Speaker 2: It's based on Simon Stalin Hogg's retro futuristic graphic novel.
• 0:38
The film is set in an alternate version of nineteen
• 0:41
ninety four, after a year's long war between humanity and
• 0:46
  the animatronic robots.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: Okay, do you remember that?
• 0:49
Speaker 2: Now you got Millie Bobby Brown, who spent years looking
• 0:52
for her lost brother. Instead, he appears to have tracked
• 0:56
her down and has deployed his robot kid Cosmo, to
• 1:00
take her where he is hiding.
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: Out.
• 1:03
Speaker 2: Of course, it's not as simple as that sounds, because
• 1:05
you've got to cross the post apocalyptic wasteland where the
• 1:09
robots have taken over. Yeah, so, now the robots are
• 1:12
these animatronic you know, like Disneyland creations.
• 1:16
Speaker 1: But we got our first look here all of us
• 1:19
  have something in common.
• 1:24
Speaker 2: We all lost something after the rebellion. It's kind of
• 1:29
cool of a giant robot kitty cat throwing things at
• 1:32
  helicopters that are attacking it.
• 1:39
Speaker 1: Humans lost connection with each other.
• 1:48
Speaker 2: It looks like it's got a lot of potential. I'm
• 1:52
actually interested and excited about it, even though it's Millie,
• 1:56
Bobby Brown, and Chris Pratt. But anyway, so it's March
• 2:02
fourteenth is when that shows up. You've got Woody Harrelson
• 2:05
doing his Jimmy Carter impression as mister Peanut. He's a robot,
• 2:10
mister Peanut. But you can see this giant robot carrying
• 2:16
a Volkswagen bus on its shoulder, and the bus is
• 2:19
filled with people. You know, it's how big they It's
• 2:22
how big these robots are. You've got gen Carlo Esposito
• 2:27
as a robot in there. You've got Ky Huey Kwan,
• 2:31
You've got Jenny Slate. March fourteenth is when that happens.
• 2:34
It's called the Electric State. Looks kind of interesting. We've
• 2:38
got some other you're going and take a look at
• 2:40
that trailer if you got some other stuff news from
• 2:44
New York Comic Con. We got our first look at
• 2:48
the new season of Star Trek Strange New Worlds, and
• 2:54
they've just put out a clip which is like a
• 2:55
three minute, three minutes of the show.
• 3:00
Speaker 1: It's like a lot of action.
• 3:01
Speaker 2: Here's the the Enterprise being attacked, Slash attacking a swarm
• 3:07
  of Gorn ships.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: Gorn the Gorner orders. Captain shields up, fifty.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Captain orders, captain all right, repeaticles, last order were in
• 3:27
rendezvous with the fleet. Sir, he gave coordinates, but he
• 3:30
didn't say immediately all right, who's got ideas? By versionary tactics, two.
• 3:36
Speaker 1: Bucks in vent themselves, create a cloud.
• 3:38
Speaker 2: We need to be able to see jam their calm
• 3:40
so they can't coordinate attacks. That's it.
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: That's the one.
• 3:44
Speaker 2: So it looks pretty action filled, you know. So it's
• 3:46
a it's such a good show. It really is such
• 3:49
a good show. A lot of news about Star Trek
• 3:52
coming out of New York Comic Con, so you can
• 3:53
go and take a look at that. Look that up yourself,
• 3:55
including the new series, Starfleet Academy, which is still in production,
• 4:01
  still in production.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: I like you've been talking about this for a while.
• 4:04
Speaker 2: No. Starfleet Academy was just announced still in production, they've
• 4:07
already said we like what we see. Go with season two,
• 4:11
just keep making it. I mean, this show's not going
• 4:13
to premiere for quite some time. They also announced that
• 4:16
they've added to the cast Tatiana Maslini.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: Is this characters we know but younger?
• 4:23
Speaker 2: Well, these are characters that were in Discovery, Okay, because
• 4:28
what it is is a start. The Federation had pretty
• 4:31
much been destroyed when Discovery jumped into the future, and
• 4:36
so now they're trying to rebuild it. And in order
• 4:38
to do that, they have to rebuild Starfleet Academy. Okay,
• 4:41
and so that's what they're doing. Also, we got a
• 4:45
release date for Section thirty one, the Star Trek Michelle
• 4:48
  Yoh movie.
• 4:50
Speaker 1: That's going to be coming here in about a month
• 4:52
or so. Very soon, I'll let you know.
• 4:54
Speaker 2: Also, we got to look at James Gunn's creature Commandos,
• 4:58
which is his suicid i'd squad version, except they're they're
• 5:02
  all monsters.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: Yes, okay, who is she? We call her the Bride,
• 5:08
the Bride of Frankenstein. Who's Jason in the argon? That's
• 5:14
  doctor Phosphorus.
• 5:15
Speaker 2: Why are you doing that? It's business? What is that? That?
• 5:21
Speaker 1: The Weason? We know it has what it takes to survive.
• 5:25
That's Nina Mazerski. She's a fish girl. So they have
• 5:31
a special suit for one. Got water.
• 5:33
  Speaker 2: G I Robot.
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: G I Robot. I did.
• 5:36
  Speaker 2: I had no idea about g I Robot. He's already
• 5:39
my favorite character. But yeah, so it's a that's that's
• 5:45
also a trailer that we got this this time around.
• 5:48
Speaker 1: This creature Commandos is coming very soon. Let's see. The
• 5:51
release date is come on, coming soon, coming soon in
• 5:58
  a month.
• 5:59
Speaker 2: Or so, to your Netflix, to a TV, to Max,
• 6:04
to max, that's where it'll be.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: Here's so we added to the cast.
• 6:08
Speaker 2: Of this reimagining of The Running Man. Remember the Arnold
• 6:14
swartzen Oger movie. You mean the the Richard Richard Dawson,
• 6:19
the Richard Dawson movie. Uh, it's uh, it's of course
• 6:22
a Stephen King novel from nineteen eighty two, although he
• 6:25
  was Richard Bachman.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: That's right, he wrote that one.
• 6:28
Speaker 2: But they're they're going to make a movie version closer
• 6:31
to the book. They say, Now we've got Josh Brolin,
• 6:35
he's signed on. Glenn Powell is the Running Man.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: He's in everything now.
• 6:40
Speaker 2: Edgar Wright is directing. But they've also added, let's see
• 6:44
Lee Pace is now one of the master hunters.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: I like Edgar Wright. It's gonna be good. I think
• 6:50
it's going to be interesting again. I like something that
• 6:53
I hadn't thought about. But there you go.
• 6:55
Speaker 2: Now here's a little something if you like me, If
• 6:58
your brain works like mine, you need movies, TV shows,
• 7:02
or cartoons or comic books to teach you things. Well,
• 7:07
I'm a schoolhouse Rock like school House Rock or you know,
• 7:10
I had a large vocabulary as a child because I
• 7:14
read comic books. Oh you know, go to stop Project
• 7:19
twenty twenty five. Comic dot Org.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this is great.
• 7:23
Speaker 2: Now, what happened is is a bunch of great comic
• 7:26
book writers. You got guys like Greg Rukka, Jeff Parker,
• 7:29
Greg Pack, Evan Narcis, Steve Lieber, Matt Fraction, who's a
• 7:32
great writer, just a name a few. And what they've
• 7:36
done is they they've realized you're not going to read
• 7:39
all eight hundred plus pages of Project twenty twenty five.
• 7:42
They're hoping you don't exactly However, they think you should
• 7:48
know what's in it and what it's going to do
• 7:50
to you if Trump gets elected, So go to stop
• 7:54
Project twenty twenty five comic dot org and you can
• 7:57
click on those sections and there will be a comic
• 8:00
that explains, you know, written and drawn by comic book
• 8:04
artists and writers, that explain what will happen if Project
• 8:08
  twenty twenty five comes.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: To And this isn't a partisan thing. This is just
• 8:12
  an explaining in.
• 8:14
Speaker 2: Simple terms, Yeah, what it means to you. Yeah, if
• 8:18
Trump gets elected, this is coming your way.
• 8:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, just so you know.
• 8:21
Speaker 2: And it's again, you don't want to read the whole thing,
• 8:25
but it's a nerving but in comic book form it's
• 8:28
  easy to read and understand
