- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is Mark Simon Show on seventen.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Wow. Hey, it's Monday. We got a lot to get
- 0:12Speaker 2: to the liberation of Iran. We'll go over that. It's
- 0:15Speaker 2: day three. We'll get to we'll get to our old
- 0:17Speaker 2: friend Neil Sedaka, we'll get to crazy Mom Donnie, and
- 0:21Speaker 2: we got Epstein and a whole lot more to talk about. Hey,
- 0:25Speaker 2: you know, the good news is it's gonna be cold today.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's gonna be uh get the highest. It's gonna be
- 0:30Speaker 2: a cold, cold day. But this is it. This is
- 0:34Speaker 2: the last cold day until next year. This is the
- 0:38Speaker 2: very final cold day. Today it's gonna go up to
- 0:42Speaker 2: thirty two, but then tomorrow it heads into the forties
- 0:46Speaker 2: and then into the fifties and next week in the sixties.
- 0:49Speaker 2: One day it'll even hit seventy next week. So this
- 0:52Speaker 2: is the final cold day. This coming weekend, we go
- 0:57Speaker 2: on daylight saving time eighteen days until spring. Eighteen days
- 1:03Speaker 2: until spring. You did it. You got through the winter.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You don't have much more to go. Just get through today,
- 1:08Speaker 2: and it's going to be warm for the rest of
- 1:11Speaker 2: the rest of the whole until the fall, until the winter.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So we're in day three of the action against Iran.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Let's call it the liberation of Iran. Democrats don't know
- 1:24Speaker 2: what the hell to do. They're running around like crazy
- 1:26Speaker 2: trying to find the attack Kolmane clearly the Iya tolda
- 1:31Speaker 2: clearly the most evil man on earth, the closest thing
- 1:34Speaker 2: to Hitler in the world today, a brutal, brutal dictator
- 1:39Speaker 2: killing his own people at the rate of thirty thousand
- 1:41Speaker 2: a month, recently savagely killing them, shooting protesters in the street,
- 1:47Speaker 2: the ones that survived and got into the hospital. This
- 1:50Speaker 2: is absolutely true. In the last few weeks, the Komene
- 1:53Speaker 2: forces have been going into hospitals and shooting them in
- 1:56Speaker 2: the head, right in their bed. This is Komenie. He's
- 1:59Speaker 2: the Hitler ofay obviously trying to wipe out Israel and
- 2:04Speaker 2: all the Jews. It's a horrible, horrible, horrible situation. Something
- 2:09Speaker 2: had to be done. They tried at the negotiating table.
- 2:11Speaker 2: They gave it a good shot. It was clear, very
- 2:15Speaker 2: clear that he was not going to negotiate, and he
- 2:17Speaker 2: was never going to stop trying to get a nuclear weapon.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So there was no choice. Time to do something. Now
- 2:24Speaker 2: they had spent weeks and weeks and weeks and months
- 2:27Speaker 2: planning this attack. They also have spent the last couple
- 2:31Speaker 2: of months watching the ayah tolda every day, learning his habits,
- 2:35Speaker 2: his patterns, where he went, what he did, and they
- 2:39Speaker 2: were going to go. The plan was not to go now.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Originally the plan was a few days earlier, and then
- 2:45Speaker 2: the plan was for a few days later. But something
- 2:47Speaker 2: happened on Saturday. They saw and we have incredible intelligence
- 2:52Speaker 2: in Iran, we in Israel, and a lot of it
- 2:54Speaker 2: is Israel. But we saw on Saturday something developing. They
- 2:59Speaker 2: were gonna hold him meeting with the top forty leaders
- 3:02Speaker 2: and the Iatola himself. These forty one people were going
- 3:06Speaker 2: to meet in a building. They knew which building. They
- 3:08Speaker 2: were going to do it on Saturday morning, which would
- 3:12Speaker 2: be the middle of the night our time. But the
- 3:14Speaker 2: reason they felt it was okay to all show up
- 3:17Speaker 2: for this meeting in broad daylight, I ran miscalculated. Well,
- 3:21Speaker 2: actually I don't know if they miscalculated. They realized a
- 3:24Speaker 2: few things. The US always attacks in the middle of
- 3:27Speaker 2: the night, always in total darkness, because we are the
- 3:30Speaker 2: best in the world with night vision equipment and nobody
- 3:33Speaker 2: else is, so we have an advantage in the dark.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We always attack in the middle of the night, so
- 3:38Speaker 2: the Iotola figured it was safe we wouldn't attack in
- 3:41Speaker 2: broad daylight. He also figured we wouldn't attack on Ramadan.
- 3:46Speaker 2: He also figured we Israel's not going to attack during
- 3:49Speaker 2: the Shabbat on Saturday, so that's why he felt it
- 3:53Speaker 2: was safe to have that meeting and for him to
- 3:55Speaker 2: show up at it. So we saw this happening, and
- 3:58Speaker 2: we'd been ready to go, and when we saw this,
- 4:01Speaker 2: we decided it was the right time take them out.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And that's when they hit that building, killed the Ayatola
- 4:07Speaker 2: and forty of the top leaders, just wiped them out.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So it was a great, great success. The beginning operation,
- 4:16Speaker 2: the news hit the airwaves that we were then bombing Iran,
- 4:20Speaker 2: attacking Iran, very tough, tough moment for Democrats. It was
- 4:26Speaker 2: Saturday morning. They hear the news. They all had to
- 4:29Speaker 2: run out and buy Iranian flags. They didn't know where
- 4:31Speaker 2: to get them. They went online trying to order Iranian flags.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It's tough for them. As the bombing continued throughout the
- 4:39Speaker 2: day and night. Then they realized on Sunday, they're probably
- 4:41Speaker 2: gonna have to tear up those Trump Taco signs. Remember
- 4:44Speaker 2: those Trump always chickens out. So then the Sunday shows
- 4:48Speaker 2: come along, and what do you do. They can't praise
- 4:51Speaker 2: Donald Trump no matter what he does. If he killed Hitler,
- 4:54Speaker 2: they'd be attacking him. Well, he didn't get congressional approval.
- 4:56Speaker 2: He didn't follow the War Powers Act. First of all,
- 4:59Speaker 2: you don't need congressional approval for the first sixty days.
- 5:03Speaker 2: And it's not likely this thing will even make it
- 5:05Speaker 2: to sixty days. But you don't need congressional approval for
- 5:08Speaker 2: the first sixty days. And if you read that War
- 5:11Speaker 2: Powers Act, if there are no boots on the ground,
- 5:13Speaker 2: and there aren't, you don't need to worry about congressional approval.
- 5:17Speaker 2: President Trump made himself available to reporters in in a
- 5:22Speaker 2: way that even surprised the reporters. Millions of people have
- 5:25Speaker 2: his cell number, his private cell number, a lot of reporters.
- 5:27Speaker 2: He gives it to all of them, and some of
- 5:30Speaker 2: them started calling even Saturday morning, just as the news broke.
- 5:34Speaker 2: John Levine, the Great Reporter, called Saturday. It was like
- 5:37Speaker 2: eight in the morning. The President answered on one ring.
- 5:40Speaker 2: He usually does, by the way, he'll answer on one ring.
- 5:44Speaker 2: There are sometimes two rings. If he's really tired about
- 5:47Speaker 2: not all he does it, but he'll answer on one ring.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But Levine got him right on the phone, talked to
- 5:53Speaker 2: him for four minutes. There are ten other reporters who
- 5:56Speaker 2: got the president on the phone. He was happy to
- 5:58Speaker 2: talk to them. Democrats had to figure out how to
- 6:02Speaker 2: criticize this. They had to go on these Sunday shows.
- 6:05Speaker 2: How do you criticize President Trump? And he was on
- 6:08Speaker 2: the airwaves. He was talking, he may address the nation.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I once again urged the revolutionary Guards, the Iranian military
- 6:15Speaker 3: police to lay down your arms and receive full immunity
- 6:20Speaker 3: or face certain death. It will be certain death won't
- 6:24Speaker 3: be pretty. The entire military command is gone as well,
- 6:29Speaker 3: and many of them want to surrender into saving their lives.
- 6:34Speaker 3: They want immunity. They're calling by the thousands.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So first attack from the Democrats was he hasn't exclaimed
- 6:42Speaker 2: that to the nation. Why isn't he holding a press conference?
- 6:44Speaker 2: Why isn't he Well, he did address the nation at
- 6:47Speaker 2: great length. Those are just a couple of clips. I
- 6:49Speaker 2: got to play the whole thing that goes on for
- 6:51Speaker 2: a long time. He did address the nation. He talked
- 6:53Speaker 2: to eleven reporters, answered all their questions, including a Kristen
- 6:58Speaker 2: Welker of Meet. The pro even talked to her. Hegxith
- 7:02Speaker 2: and General Cain raising. Cain did a briefing this morning,
- 7:06Speaker 2: went on at great length. They took questions for a
- 7:08Speaker 2: long time, so that attack doesn't work. The next attack
- 7:13Speaker 2: they tried was by the way he was at mar
- 7:16Speaker 2: A Lago. There was a fundraiser scheduled for Saturday night
- 7:19Speaker 2: and he had planned to go to mar A Lago,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and they decided he should go to mar A Lago
- 7:23Speaker 2: because if he didn't or if they canceled the fundraiser,
- 7:27Speaker 2: it might raise suspicion in Iran. They might think there's
- 7:31Speaker 2: an attack coming. So to keep the illusion up, the
- 7:33Speaker 2: fundraiser was on. He went to Florida, which made the
- 7:36Speaker 2: Iya Tola even more confident in going to that meeting
- 7:39Speaker 2: in broad daylight. So they did all of this Saturday morning.
- 7:44Speaker 2: The bombing continued throughout Saturday and Saturday night. The president
- 7:47Speaker 2: in a tuxedo, went to the fundraiser and then had
- 7:51Speaker 2: dinner at mar A Lago. So this was the other
- 7:52Speaker 2: democratic attack. Look at that in the middle of this bombing,
- 7:55Speaker 2: he's having dinner with millionaires at mar A Lago. How
- 7:59Speaker 2: dare he? Well, if you check their record, that's usually
- 8:02Speaker 2: what happens. In fact, the biggest military operation of Obama's
- 8:07Speaker 2: presidency was killing Bin Laden. That was a very, very,
- 8:11Speaker 2: very dangerous operation. And while that was going on, Obama
- 8:15Speaker 2: was laughing and joking at the White House correspondence dinner,
- 8:19Speaker 2: which you're supposed to do. Go to the dinner. That
- 8:22Speaker 2: makes the enemy think you're not up to anything, the
- 8:25Speaker 2: business as usual. So that attack fizzled out. What was
- 8:30Speaker 2: the other attack? Well, hey, the other thing is you
- 8:31Speaker 2: know they've been attacking Pete Hexath ever since he got
- 8:34Speaker 2: in there as totally incompetent, not qualified. Even Mark Kelly,
- 8:39Speaker 2: that awful senator over the weekend, still saying Hexath is
- 8:42Speaker 2: the most unqualified Secretary of Defense, least qualified secretary Defense. Well,
- 8:47Speaker 2: that's not true. Hexath has a lot of military experience.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And half the people we made secretary of Defense had
- 8:53Speaker 2: zero military expense. There were a congressmen, one was an academic.
- 8:59Speaker 2: So he's got more military experience than half of the
- 9:03Speaker 2: secretaries of Defense. And as much as you've attacked him,
- 9:07Speaker 2: you got to admit he's now run about six are
- 9:09Speaker 2: the most complex sophisticated military operations flawlessly taken out the
- 9:15Speaker 2: nuclear reactors, capturing Maduro, killing the Ayatola. Now we did
- 9:20Speaker 2: lose some soldiers. We lost three. As we started bombing Iran,
- 9:25Speaker 2: they started firing on neighboring countries. One bomb hit Kuwait,
- 9:29Speaker 2: hit one of our military bases, and three US soldiers
- 9:32Speaker 2: died there. Also, we've just found out yesterday Kuwait accidentally
- 9:39Speaker 2: shot down three of our planes. They thought they were Iranian,
- 9:43Speaker 2: so it was friendly fire. Kuwait shot down three of
- 9:45Speaker 2: our planes. But the good news, all six pilots ejected safely.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So now I'm trying to think of the other attacks.
- 9:54Speaker 2: They just couldn't find the attacks. Then they went back
- 9:56Speaker 2: to he didn't get congressional approval. You don't need congressional
- 10:00Speaker 2: and the last eighteen wars and nobody's gotten any congressional approval.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Then the other attack. I was watching this all day Sunday,
- 10:08Speaker 2: especially the Sunday shows. They tried this new attack. He
- 10:11Speaker 2: ran on the promise of no regime change. The central
- 10:16Speaker 2: theme of his campaign was no regime change. We all
- 10:21Speaker 2: watched that campaign. I don't remember that ever coming up.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Do you remember that as even being mentioned? I don't
- 10:26Speaker 2: the central theme. I think the central theme was the border,
- 10:29Speaker 2: illegal immigration. I think the central theme was taxes, the economy.
- 10:34Speaker 2: May have mentioned regime change somewhere in the campaign, but
- 10:37Speaker 2: it was not a theme of the campaign. He did
- 10:41Speaker 2: say in the campaign company He did promise a few times,
- 10:43Speaker 2: no more endless wars. And that's what this is. No
- 10:46Speaker 2: more endless wars, no boots on the ground. There's not
- 10:49Speaker 2: going to be any endless tried you know, nation building,
- 10:55Speaker 2: trying to occupy the nation. There'll be none of that here.
- 10:58Speaker 2: So it was a tough time for Democrats. They didn't
- 11:02Speaker 2: know what to do. They got to attack him left
- 11:05Speaker 2: and right, no matter what he does, no matter what. Now, Mom,
- 11:08Speaker 2: Donnie is the mayor of New York. His job is
- 11:12Speaker 2: to pick up the snow, run the police department. But
- 11:16Speaker 2: being a crazy left winger, he's got to shoot his
- 11:19Speaker 2: mouth off.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Today's military strikes by the United States and Israel mark
- 11:24Speaker 4: a catastrophic escalation in an illegal, active war of aggression,
- 11:30Speaker 4: bombing cities, killing civilians, opening up a new theater of war.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Americans do not want this.
- 11:38Speaker 2: First of all, he has no qualifications to speak about this,
- 11:43Speaker 2: has absolutely no knowledge of what he's talking about it
- 11:45Speaker 2: is not in the illegal war, and Americans are all upset. Well,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I hate to break it to you, they're all in
- 11:52Speaker 2: the streets celebrating. That was the problem with CNN, And
- 11:55Speaker 2: every time they went out to see some Iranian protesters
- 11:57Speaker 2: or what they thought were protesters, turned out it was
- 12:00Speaker 2: people celebrating. Iranians all over the world are celebrating. They're
- 12:05Speaker 2: so grateful to the present for getting rid of the evil,
- 12:09Speaker 2: evil barbarian liberating Iran. So CNN goes out and there's
- 12:13Speaker 2: a bunch of Iranians gather, and they thought they would
- 12:15Speaker 2: get them to attack the president, but no, they were celebrating.
- 12:17Speaker 5: The celebration is striking. We got here just moments after
- 12:22Speaker 5: initial reports, initial boomers of the death of iosl KM
- 12:26Speaker 5: and A had just started to trickle from Iran to
- 12:30Speaker 5: this diaspora community, and people were jumping in excitement, hugging
- 12:35Speaker 5: each other, crying, saying that basically they've been waiting forty
- 12:39Speaker 5: seven years for this very.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Day, their country has been limited liberated. They're thrilled.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Thank you, Donald Trump.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Now this is a CBS. They've got somebody on hoping
- 12:49Speaker 2: they'll bad mouth Trump, but no.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Thank you, Donald Trump, Thank you Benjamin Netya who, thank
- 12:54Speaker 1: you America. It's not death to America after they killed
- 12:57Speaker 1: the leader the Americans in the Israelis did it. It's
- 13:00Speaker 1: not death to Israel and death to America. It's thank you.
- 13:03Speaker 1: It's a new day dawning, but very early days, very
- 13:08Speaker 1: very early days. So we'll have to see what comes.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But it's the Iranian people that have been telling me
- 13:13Speaker 1: over and over and over again, we want this.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah. So it is one sane democrat out there. John Fetterman.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I never thought i'd say this. Remember when he was running,
- 13:24Speaker 2: he was a crazy lunatic in the shorts and the hoodie.
- 13:27Speaker 2: But boy, he's changed.
- 13:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Remember the State of the Union speech. As the President
- 13:32Speaker 2: comes down the aisle and sees everybody, all of the
- 13:34Speaker 2: Democrats refuse to look at him, touch him, shake hands.
- 13:37Speaker 2: They the only one, the only Democrat that shook hands
- 13:40Speaker 2: with him was Fetterman, and he got nothing but flack
- 13:43Speaker 2: for it.
- 13:44Speaker 6: And if someone's angry that I shook the President's hand
- 13:47Speaker 6: as he walked in, that's I think that's on them.
- 13:52Speaker 6: And I think some of the people that were angry
- 13:55Speaker 6: that I did that, they didn't really have a problem
- 13:57Speaker 6: when Mandamn he visited with the White House too, So
- 14:02Speaker 6: like if we refuse to talk to the other side,
- 14:04Speaker 6: I mean, that's the only one that really loses, that's America.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, he might be following the Bill Clinton model.
- 14:11Speaker 2: You know, back ninety nine Bill, No, No, No, ninety
- 14:18Speaker 2: two one. Bill Clinton saw that the party, after all
- 14:22Speaker 2: these defeats from you know, they lost, losing a Rag
- 14:25Speaker 2: and a Bush, Democrats were really on the outs, so
- 14:27Speaker 2: they went far to the left. They were left wing
- 14:30Speaker 2: wacko kooks. Bill Clinton decided to be the common sense
- 14:34Speaker 2: moderate and lead the party back to the middle, and
- 14:37Speaker 2: that's how I got the nomination. Fetterman might be thinking
- 14:40Speaker 2: that right now, with all the left wing crazies in
- 14:43Speaker 2: the Democratic Party, he'll be the moderate. He'll be the
- 14:46Speaker 2: common sense Democrat and lead them back to the center
- 14:50Speaker 2: and back to victory. So Fetterman was the only Democrat
- 14:54Speaker 2: not going after the president for Iran.
- 14:56Speaker 6: That's bizarre.
- 14:58Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:58Speaker 6: I'd like to remind my i colleague over in the
- 15:01Speaker 6: House that I ran massacre at thirty thousand of their
- 15:04Speaker 6: own people. Right now, this war is not about the
- 15:07Speaker 6: Iranian people. It's about this poisonous regime. And that's why
- 15:11Speaker 6: I'm proud to stand with our military. I'm proud to
- 15:14Speaker 6: stand with Israel too. I might be a Democrat, but
- 15:17Speaker 6: in this specific case, the President is absolutely correct.
- 15:21Speaker 2: It's a courageous thing to say if you're a democrat.
- 15:24Speaker 2: So anyway, we'll get back to this. We'll take some calls.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Next coming up, we'll get to our old buddy, Neil
- 15:30Speaker 2: saidaka the nicest guy in the world and the most
- 15:32Speaker 2: talented guy. Will get to him. Coming up. Hey, we're
