- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey everyone, Ashley here, Ben is well, Well what Ben
- 0:10Speaker 2: talk about the state of his life when he comes back?
- 0:14Speaker 2: But you all know that Jess is giving birth this week.
- 0:16Speaker 2: And I just wanted to come on here because we
- 0:19Speaker 2: got info yesterday that really clarified why Beverly.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Beverly or Tega left this season early.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Rachel Recki and I were on here recapping a couple
- 0:31Speaker 2: of days ago, and we thought it was the weirdest
- 0:34Speaker 2: thing that the show just made it seem like, oh,
- 0:37Speaker 2: she didn't feel she didn't feel very good, and I
- 0:40Speaker 2: think she's gone forever. Well, they love to do. They
- 0:45Speaker 2: have had a tendency lately of taking of making lights
- 0:51Speaker 2: of some things and editing out parts that probably should
- 0:55Speaker 2: have been in there, just to give clarification to the audience.
- 0:58Speaker 2: And then they have liked to fill in these gaps
- 1:03Speaker 2: on their official Warner Brothers show, which is the Happy
- 1:07Speaker 2: Hour podcast with Grocery Store Joe and Serena, and they
- 1:15Speaker 2: had her on this week. They had Beverly on that
- 1:17Speaker 2: show and they explained what really happened. She was very sick,
- 1:22Speaker 2: but it wasn't just very sick. It was appendicitis.
- 1:25Speaker 3: So here's a quote.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I went to go take a nap and I wake
- 1:29Speaker 2: up and my stomach's hurting, and I'm like, okay, maybe
- 1:31Speaker 2: I should go to the bathroom. Maybe the food didn't
- 1:33Speaker 2: sit well. And then all of a sudden, I start
- 1:34Speaker 2: throwing up, and then I'm like, okay, maybe I just
- 1:36Speaker 2: need to get out whatever it is. Her stomach continues
- 1:39Speaker 2: to hurt, and then she goes I'm in excruciating pain.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I'm continuing to throw up. It's like a mess. And
- 1:44Speaker 2: this goes on for twelve hours. Like why wasn't this
- 1:48Speaker 2: a storyline? Back in the day? This would have been
- 1:51Speaker 2: a storyline, because I mean, it's awful for her, but
- 1:54Speaker 2: it is kind of interesting. Awful, but like what at
- 1:59Speaker 2: this point you would think it would be drama. It
- 2:02Speaker 2: would be one of those moments where they get the
- 2:04Speaker 2: ambulance and they show the ambulance and the you know,
- 2:08Speaker 2: the scene to the next episode in the big teaser,
- 2:11Speaker 2: and then it ends up being like, you know, awful,
- 2:15Speaker 2: but not too much of a not too much of
- 2:18Speaker 2: a big deal.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Well, appendicitis is kind of a big deal.
- 2:22Speaker 2: She said that that sometimes she experiences nausea during panic attacks,
- 2:26Speaker 2: and she has diagnosed anxiety, and she was thinking, maybe
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'm anxious because I have a one on one later
- 2:33Speaker 2: in the week. I actually understand that knowing you have
- 2:38Speaker 2: a one on one so much earlier than just like
- 2:41Speaker 2: the morning of, would really get you kind of in
- 2:45Speaker 2: a tailspin. To be like, okay, in twenty four hours,
- 2:48Speaker 2: in forty eight hours, I have to go on a
- 2:52Speaker 2: first date with someone on TV and it's gonna last
- 2:57Speaker 2: like twelve hours.
- 2:58Speaker 3: That is anxiety. And so she was just thinking, maybe
- 3:02Speaker 3: this is all anxiety.
- 3:05Speaker 2: But after ruling out food poisoning, she was taken to
- 3:08Speaker 2: the hospital and after three hours of being in the er,
- 3:11Speaker 2: the doctor came in and said, you have an appendicitis
- 3:15Speaker 2: and you're gonna need emergency surgery, all right. So this
- 3:19Speaker 2: news was really hard for her to process, she said,
- 3:22Speaker 2: especially with her being away from her family and her friends,
- 3:24Speaker 2: and she underwent the surgery the next The next day,
- 3:28Speaker 2: she went home to Howard Beach, New York. Shortly after
- 3:31Speaker 2: the procedure, she goes, I was really really sad. It
- 3:34Speaker 2: honestly took me a month and a half to recover
- 3:36Speaker 2: emotionally physically obviously, I was okay.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Emotionally, I was not.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I was left with the what if, Like what if
- 3:46Speaker 2: Grant and I were to build a connection. He saw
- 3:50Speaker 2: and felt exactly what I was seeing and feeling. And
- 3:55Speaker 2: I know they didn't show a lot of our moments,
- 3:56Speaker 2: but we had a lot of cute moments. And she
- 4:00Speaker 2: said that she didn't get to say goodbye to Grant
- 4:04Speaker 2: when she left the mansion. She said, I hope I didn't.
- 4:08Speaker 2: He didn't think that I left just because you know,
- 4:12Speaker 2: and she goes. Eventually they start flying to places and
- 4:15Speaker 2: it just wasn't safe or smart for me to fly,
- 4:17Speaker 2: which when you're recovering from surgery, which is why they
- 4:20Speaker 2: didn't let her rejoin the cast, and you know, the
- 4:24Speaker 2: long days and long nights. I was just sad about leaving,
- 4:26Speaker 2: But once I got home and everything settled in, I
- 4:29Speaker 2: was just like, I guess this was the best decision
- 4:31Speaker 2: for me to come home and recover because it was
- 4:33Speaker 2: a lot. Oh my goodness, gracious, I can't imagine. I
- 4:39Speaker 2: still think this is bizarre that they didn't put this
- 4:42Speaker 2: into the show. They normally would have been like having
- 4:47Speaker 2: a goodbye scene, like why wouldn't he go to the
- 4:50Speaker 2: hospital and be like, hey, I just heard you're going
- 4:53Speaker 2: into for surgery tomorrow. I'm so sad. This is bizarre
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think about. I mean, this is obviously not a comparison,
- 5:01Speaker 2: but on Jones season, Chock lost his mom in the
- 5:06Speaker 2: midst of the season. They let him fly back for
- 5:09Speaker 2: a few days to settle things at home, and then.
- 5:14Speaker 3: He flew back.
- 5:15Speaker 2: This is a little different because you know, the pain
- 5:18Speaker 2: is not grieving pain. It's like actual physical pain, probably
- 5:22Speaker 2: less painful, but it was a storyline, right, and they
- 5:28Speaker 2: obviously had Chock leave and come back because he was
- 5:31Speaker 2: such a front runner.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I think it could give Beverly a little bit of
- 5:36Speaker 3: relief in knowing that this is awful. I'm sorry. I'm sorry,
- 5:40Speaker 3: but I'm sorry, Beverley. If you're listening to this.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You you having all those what ifs, right, and the
- 5:48Speaker 2: what if suck. I always say that I tried to
- 5:50Speaker 2: eliminate as many what ifs in life as possible, so
- 5:54Speaker 2: I know what you're going through. But if Grant and
- 5:58Speaker 2: if production really thought that you were going to be
- 6:02Speaker 2: like Top four, they would have made I'm sorry to
- 6:06Speaker 2: say you a storyline. They would have made this sickness
- 6:10Speaker 2: a storyline. And they could have worked out some way
- 6:16Speaker 2: for you to come back. Of course, this recovery, yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 2: you probably should have been on planes to Europe.
- 6:24Speaker 3: You probably couldn't have done that, so.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I get it, but wow, knowing this makes it even
- 6:32Speaker 2: weirder for me that they didn't make it a storyline,
- 6:35Speaker 2: and then it's it's just I just feel really bad
- 6:40Speaker 2: for her. Can't imagine be giving the opportunity to feeling
- 6:44Speaker 2: something with Grant and then just to be plucked away
- 6:47Speaker 2: from it and buy something that you really can't control.
- 6:52Speaker 3: That's all.
- 6:53Speaker 2: But we wanted to get on here and do a
- 6:54Speaker 2: mini podcast episode about this just because you know, Rachel
- 6:58Speaker 2: and I really at this missing plot, and now we
- 7:04Speaker 2: have the answers.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Until next time, Talk to you, letter love guys. Bye.
