Latest / Elon Musk Podcast / STARSHIP LAUNCH MAY 2022 : Confirmation From Elon Musk
Transcript
- 0:00Just a quick note SpaceX is not launching the Starship today.
- 0:07We're just, we just got confirmation from Elan when
- 0:10Starship will launch. So, let's get into the show, my
- 0:16friends brought to you by Starship shirts.com.
- 0:20So check this out. This is from the other day.
- 0:24This footage is from the other day and I wanted to show you
- 0:27guys what's going on with Starship.
- 0:30What Ilan said when we're going to get a flight of possible
- 0:36flight because it's Ilan, of course we're on Ilan time here
- 0:39so there's a possibility that it may not happen.
- 0:43When Ilan says it's going to happen because I moved down here
- 0:46to Brownsville Texas, to go get chica area last September,
- 0:52because Ilan said, hey we're going to be, we're going to be
- 0:56launching this thing soon, right?
- 0:59I want to be here for the launch.
- 1:00To be here for everything. And of course, you know, six
- 1:03months later, we haven't gotten a launch so Elon stated the
- 1:08other day, and I'll show you all about this in just a second, but
- 1:11he said the other day that he knows when they think they think
- 1:16when he thinks Starship will launch and it's not going to be
- 1:20the ship and the booster that you think it's going to be
- 1:23because they're getting rid of those.
- 1:26So yeah, that's pretty cool. What's a Perpetual nerd Gary?
- 1:29What's up? Hey Leo mr.
- 1:33Najera no, not yet, not yet. No launched, yet.
- 1:36No launched yet. So just wanna let you guys know
- 1:39what's going on and how SpaceX may move forward with the next
- 1:45testing program. Protocols procedures and where
- 1:48they're going to be going from here because they have a lot of
- 1:52work to do before they launch. Starship and booster the
- 1:57super-heavy configuration for SpaceX is Starship.
- 2:00So this is going to be it's going to be an exciting time for
- 2:03the next. Let's just say three months,
- 2:05it's going to be super exciting even today.
- 2:09Today they moved what is called the can crusher down to the
- 2:14flight area. It Boca Chica Starbase, the can
- 2:17crusher is something that the measure how much the booster
- 2:24can't Right? So it's like a Max Q kind of
- 2:27thing. So, maximum velocity Max Q
- 2:31maximum pressure and forces on the booster and on the ship and
- 2:36that's basically what they're going to, what they may be
- 2:38testing in the next couple days with booster for.
- 2:42Now it's kind of a weird thing because we thought they were
- 2:44going to move booster for out of there.
- 2:46We thought this this morning, we're all like oh what are they
- 2:50doing today? They're moving stuff out of
- 2:52there, but no booster for seems to be going On the can crusher
- 2:57and which means it may be. Getting destroyed with this
- 3:04thing, like just taking it to the maximum possible, you know,
- 3:09damage that I can take in that it just, you know, maybe they're
- 3:12going to maybe they could take it over the edge and destroy
- 3:13that thing. So that would be incredible.
- 3:18Now, unfortunately don't have a robot camera down there to
- 3:20witness this but I will give you as much information as I can,
- 3:24and I do go down to Starbase very often to get as much
- 3:27footage as I can and this footage on my side here.
- 3:30I'm not sure which side to side. Let's see if I To that.
- 3:32Okay, I did it right. So that footage little bit
- 3:35blurry but that's because I was seven miles away.
- 3:37This is from the 18th. And this is when they did some
- 3:40tests on Starship, the other day and that was for my propellant.
- 3:44Loading test, number two of a fully stacked Starship in this
- 3:49was Friday, March, 18th 2022. So they conducted a booster for
- 3:55and ship. 20 propellant, loading test with a full stack of
- 3:59Starship at Boca Chica. Starbase Texas.
- 4:03Now they did another one before. This one was that one?
- 4:07That was March 16th in. That was, yeah, that was Mark 16
- 4:11to 20 22. I'm looking at my numbers here
- 4:13to make sure that I get everything right, get the dates
- 4:15right. And they so the cool thing is
- 4:17booster for and ship 20, the ship and booster that were fully
- 4:21stacked. They also did other tests so
- 4:24they did cryogenic test. They did cryogenic proved tests
- 4:27and booster for and ship 20. Both did five tests.
- 4:32So let's just say that say what it is.
- 4:36So these are these are Pathfinders.
- 4:40Booster for is a Pathfinder for future boosters, they do all the
- 4:44tests on these boosters on booster for sorry, they do all
- 4:47the tests on booster for so one. So so they can figure out how to
- 4:51do the test properly, you know, this is new for SpaceX, even
- 4:55though they've been building rockets for really long time.
- 4:58They've never built a gigantic Starship before.
- 5:01Like, this is This isn't their first Starship that they both.
- 5:04This is the fully stacked for a Starship and booster for ship 20
- 5:09their Pathfinders for future ship parts that are coming from
- 5:13space X. So I want to show you guys what
- 5:16I was talking about earlier with Ilan.
- 5:20This is actually, you know what, let's let's just kind of
- 5:22backtrack a little bit because I was talking about testing.
- 5:25So let's just take a look at the testing schedule.
- 5:28Possibly for SpaceX and Starship down at Boca Chica.
- 5:32Star base Texas. Monday is already passed us by
- 5:37March 21st. Tuesday, March, 22nd.
- 5:41We have a 10:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. road closure and that's what I
- 5:45was talking about earlier because they're moving the can
- 5:47crusher down to Starbase from the from the build site to the
- 5:52production site are from the production site to the launch
- 5:54site. So that's what they did.
- 5:57We're not sure what the when they're going to implement that
- 6:00if they're going to do it today. That's great.
- 6:01They have a A full another 10 hours, a night and a half hours
- 6:05to do that. So, Tuesday March, 22nd, 10 a.m.
- 6:09to 10 p.m. Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- 6:12as well and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and then Friday from 6
- 6:16a.m. to 4 p.m. and for those of you who aren't familiar 6 a.m.
- 6:21to 4 p.m. is usually the Friday time frame here because Boca
- 6:25Chica Beach is open to the public on the weekends and
- 6:29SpaceX is working with Cameron County.
- 6:32And Brownsville area in Boca Chica to keep the Beach open
- 6:37because people it's basically a moneymaker for this area and
- 6:41SpaceX doesn't want to interrupt people that are going to the
- 6:45beach and having a good time. So they keep that road open.
- 6:50Nighttime Peak basically. People, when they get done with
- 6:52work, they can go down there and hang out.
- 6:55So they keep the road open Friday's after 4:00 p.m. so that
- 7:00means they safely start early. But It's possible that they do
- 7:04elongate the test in last night, was one of those times when the
- 7:07road closure was supposed to be stopped at 10:00 p.m. and they
- 7:10went on until about 11:30 p.m. because they still had more
- 7:13testing to do with the tank farm last night.
- 7:17So, there is a just, if you're just joining us, there's no
- 7:21launch today. Yeah.
- 7:23So there's no launch today, there's been a confirmation from
- 7:26Elon Musk when he thinks SpaceX is Starship will launch and
- 7:30we'll get to that in one moment. Old gamer Noob testing right
- 7:35now. Should I also be watching one of
- 7:37the 24-hour lives they aren't doing testing quite yet.
- 7:43It's cool to have it open in another tab.
- 7:45They, I think what's going to happen today, is it going to
- 7:47move the booster? It's very windy today too.
- 7:50It's very, very windy today and I'm here in Brownsville and I
- 7:54went outside earlier today and I almost got blown off my feet
- 7:56because it was so windy and Boca Chica Beach star.
- 8:02Base area, it's more windy than here, so I don't know if they're
- 8:06just waiting for the wind to die down or if the wind has died
- 8:09down there, but we have a red flag alert.
- 8:12I think it's called. Yeah, for the weather today and
- 8:16I got to show you guys that to in just a second, but I'm going
- 8:18to show you what Elon tweeted because that's what we're all
- 8:20here for, right? We want to see when Ilan and
- 8:23SpaceX will launch this. So, Michael sheets, sheets the
- 8:27sheets tweets with a z at the end and sheets with a z.
- 8:33I tweeted something about SpaceX launch Cadence and how Russia
- 8:38kind of pushed everybody away, right?
- 8:41So found the quality analytics found that u.s. space companies
- 8:45are poised to benefit from Russia.
- 8:47Cutting itself off for much of the global space industry with
- 8:50SpaceX, the clear winner and launch market exemplified this
- 8:54morning by one webs New Deal. So one web is a satellite
- 8:58provider and they cite a deal with SpaceX just recently too.
- 9:02Launch their satellites, and it's a pretty big deal.
- 9:05So Elon Musk replied and said SpaceX, default plan was 65
- 9:11percent of global launch Mass to orbit this year.
- 9:15Huge huge deal. Incremental demand might take
- 9:18that to 70%. So now two major change.
- 9:21Those numbers don't count Starship, so, Ilan.
- 9:26Just hit something pretty big, like those numbers.
- 9:29Don't count Starship. So Elon is planning, Starship
- 9:34launches this year. So 70%.
- 9:36So now, two major change but they don't count Starship.
- 9:39So anything with a Starship launch, anything that starts
- 9:42with his lodging, may, it might be Starling satellites.
- 9:46I could be launching, you know, thousands of star Like
- 9:48Satellites is here. If they get Starship to a point
- 9:50where they can actually do that, it's going to take awhile mind
- 9:54you, because they don't even Have a prototype that we've seen
- 9:59down here at Starbase of a, basically, a lid, for the
- 10:03Starship, the front of the Starship, the nose, the
- 10:05Starship, I wish I had my model here with me, so I can show you
- 10:07guys but the front of the Starship, the nose, the Starship
- 10:10opens up. So it's like this and then it
- 10:11opens up like that, then the satellite flies out of it pretty
- 10:16crazy, pretty crazy. That's actually a thing.
- 10:19This show is brought to you. By backblaze, I use back place
- 10:22to back up my podcast. My video files, all of my
- 10:25writings. Tough and all my photos.

- 10:36data and access your backed up data from anywhere in the world
- 10:40using the web app and you can access the files on your mobile
- 10:43to iOS Android apps all covered. And this is the cool part.
- 10:47This is my favorite part. You can restore it by mail or
- 10:49hard drive will come to your house with all your data shipped
- 10:52to your door. I could come to your business to
- 10:54and you can restore return. Refund program.
- 10:57So you can buy a hard drive restore, send the hard drive
- 11:00back within 30 days and get a full refund.

- 12:20really easy to use so go to back.
- 12:21Plays.com /l on back plays.com ESS.
- 12:26Ilan backblaze.com he'll on. But if they were to do that and
- 12:31they were to also do ride sharing with other companies on
- 12:34Starship. Yeah.
- 12:37Ilan. It would blow everything out of
- 12:39the water. It's going to be crazy how much
- 12:40more stuff they can throw up there into space and launched
- 12:43into space. Rough math is Sixteen Tons. 50
- 12:48launches 800 tons. Ilan says rest of the world is
- 12:52less than 400. Tons mostly China.
- 12:56Said 410. So they're doubling the what
- 12:59everybody else is doing plus because if it's less than 400,
- 13:03tons mostly China and then Ilan says, they have 800 tons for 50
- 13:09launches. That's, that's huge.
- 13:12So it is this this mean that Elon and SpaceX are a monopoly.
- 13:17People were talking about this the other day about how Ilan
- 13:19have and SpaceX has kind of taken over the flight, the
- 13:23spaceflight industry and not Yet, let's just say not yet
- 13:27because they do have, you know, they do have a 70% share but
- 13:32that's because there's nobody else doing it, you know.
- 13:35There are other companies that can do it.
- 13:38But SpaceX does it cheaper and better than those companies.
- 13:42So it's like should those companies step up and make
- 13:44better rockets and cheaper rockets and, you know, fight for
- 13:49their spot. Yes 100%, yes.
- 13:52They should. Because there's no way they're
- 13:54going to stay in this business. If you Don't fight for that spot
- 13:57because it's a, it's a battle for the billions.
- 14:01You know, billions of dollars, people launch satellites all the
- 14:03time. Then, you know, they're gonna,
- 14:09they're gonna have to fight for it because they, you know, other
- 14:11companies have the resources to build new rockets.
- 14:14They have the engineers. They have, the people power,
- 14:17they have the infrastructure, they just haven't done it yet.
- 14:20So, not quite yet, is all I'm going to say Happy Camp.
- 14:25He says, sorry if I missed it a deal on say which ships will
- 14:27launch. If not for 20 Matt yet.
- 14:31I haven't heard anything yet from anybody on the ground.
- 14:34So we're, I'm just going to keep That speculation at Bay for now
- 14:38until a to we figure out a little bit more information
- 14:42about what's happening. Because speculation about those
- 14:45about those Rockets is seems like there's plenty, there's
- 14:50numerous rockets that I could be in numerous posters that could
- 14:53be. So there's potential for a lot
- 14:56of different things, but that could be another show, you know,
- 14:59if we if we want to do that one though, it could be another
- 15:00show. So LL Garo, thank you so much.
- 15:06Much. You know what, man, I got to get
- 15:07you guys some. I'm gonna get you guys some Some
- 15:13some Starships here, there we go.
- 15:16You get some Starships along, Garo there.
- 15:18You get a Starship because you did a Super Chat.
- 15:21Thank U so much, happy cat. Be sorry.
- 15:23You didn't get a Starship. I was a little bit late on the
- 15:26draw there but thank you so much for that.
- 15:29I'll let so anything from from Super chassis.
- 15:31Super stickers, go directly and memberships.
- 15:34Go directly into funding this show this program so we can
- 15:38continue doing this and getting you footage like this.
- 15:41This, which is I have a full video of that on the channel if
- 15:44you want to check it out, but it's it costs money to do this
- 15:48stuff. So, anything through super
- 15:50strict chats, and super stickers.
- 15:52Very, very helpful. Thank you so much for that.
- 15:54I really do appreciate it. Very cool.
- 15:58So, let's get back into the news.
- 15:59I'll hunger. Oh, thank you so much, peace.
- 16:01Keep a kind of peace to you too, man.
- 16:05Happycabbie says, is it official 420 will not fly?
- 16:08Yes, if we can play a sad trombone or sad, trumpet for
- 16:14ship 20 and booster for, we will get into that right now.
- 16:20So ship 21st. This is what we're talking about
- 16:24right here. Elon Musk says, first Starship
- 16:27orbital flight will be with raptor.
- 16:28Two engines, ship 20 isn't ready for up to two engines.
- 16:31Booster for isn't route ready for Rapid to engines as they are
- 16:35much more capable and reliable 230 ton or Killer pound thrust
- 16:41at sea level will have 39 flight-worthy engines built by
- 16:46next month, Raptor 239 Raptor 2's by next month, then another
- 16:50month to integrate. So hopefully May for orbital
- 16:53flight test. So, may 20-22 just a few months.
- 17:01Elon Musk says it's possible that star ship could launch with
- 17:07raptor to enter 39 flight-worthy engines.
- 17:11That is incredible. That's incredible.
- 17:14So Evelyn she's from around here too she's from down.
- 17:18Here will Starship SN 20 and super heavy booster and
- 17:24super-heavy booster for still conduct the orbital flight or
- 17:27new prototypes even responded with New.
- 17:33So there you go, there's a little bit of sort of sort of
- 17:35answers your your question happy.
- 17:39It'll be a new booster and new ship, so ship, 20 ship and
- 17:46booster for buh-bye. We're going to play.
- 17:51We're going to play a sad trumpet.
- 17:52I don't have one on hand. Don't have a trumpet on it, man.
- 17:56But I wish I had something to be a trumpet right now, but I
- 17:58can't. I don't have it.
- 18:01So, unfortunately. In La, unfortunately booster for
- 18:05and ship 20 are going to go the way of the dodo and they're
- 18:09going to be maybe canned crushed, I'm not sure.
- 18:11I'm not sure we're going to be doing with them but they may
- 18:13just they may take them if they if the survives the can crusher.
- 18:18They may move them to the Rocket Garden, which would be really
- 18:20cool. But that's a lot of rockets
- 18:22Perpetual nerd. You get a Starship thank you for
- 18:25the for the gas fund. I appreciate it.
- 18:27Really helpful, super helpful. Yeah, so that'll get me down to
- 18:32Starbase that'll be awesome. Thank you so much for that, but
- 18:36yeah. So Ilan said new didn't didn't
- 18:39elaborate. So that's what I was saying
- 18:41earlier. Happy about the can't really
- 18:44speculate what it's going to be. Could it be booster 7?
- 18:47Could it be booster? 8, could it be you?
- 18:49No. Could they skip a few?
- 18:50They're building so much stuff down there that they could
- 18:53Franken booster something together and build.
- 18:55Something. Absolutely new ready for.
- 18:59You know, because they could find something.
- 19:01This is, okay. So let me, let me back up here,
- 19:03SpaceX has been known for just scrapping full systems, because
- 19:09something better comes along rapid iteration of this process
- 19:13is important to get a Starship off the ground in the coming
- 19:18months. So if they see something that's
- 19:20better, and they say that it'll save them time in the future,
- 19:24build it out. So anything that's on the
- 19:26production floor right now, it could Scrapped moved away and
- 19:33they could move on to something else new.
- 19:35So that's why I don't want to speculate about it but we can't
- 19:39in another episode. I just don't want to do it right
- 19:40yet because you know, because you never know, you never know
- 19:46what's gonna happen with Space X.
- 19:49So the another thing that SpaceX has to has to really deal with
- 19:52is the FAA. So here we go, there's a, the
- 19:57fááá's draft. Environmental review.
- 20:02So SpaceX cannot launch Starship until this environmental review
- 20:07goes through. The can't do it and the FAA
- 20:11said, they are going to be done with this within 6 days from
- 20:16now. So today is the 22nd they'll be
- 20:19done on the 28th for this and if SpaceX passes this, they'll have
- 20:24environmental Readiness for a flight of Starship, I was going
- 20:29to say I said 20, but it's not going to be.
- 20:31I said, 20 booster for anywhere. I was thoroughly in the camp of
- 20:34booster foreign ship 20 100%. I was like, why would they move
- 20:37on? But they are going to.
- 20:39So could take the months. Ilan, says may I know how things
- 20:45work down here. Now that I've been here for a
- 20:47little while and it seems like it's Ilan time.
- 20:51So let me, let me elaborate on that.
- 20:53There's, there's things that Elon things can be done at a
- 20:58very rapid pace. And then people get involved in
- 21:02logistics, get involved. And sometimes those things don't
- 21:05work out. Very well.
- 21:07So, it's possible. We get a launch in June, or July
- 21:11or August of this year or even later depending on what's going
- 21:14on with these boosters and the ships and the, and the, and the
- 21:17Raptor twos. But since they had a Pathfinder,
- 21:21this is they have booster force that they have chip 20, Those
- 21:25are Pathfinders, right? So those things will make it
- 21:29easier for the next iteration of boosters and ships to come down
- 21:33the line. So the the rate that they'll be
- 21:36able to put together a new booster, in a new ship, should
- 21:42be pretty fast. Comparably to the ones that they
- 21:47have right now. They they should launch SN 22
- 21:5310K and Practice. Another Landing.
- 21:56That would be really cool happy. I am 100% in that camp.
- 22:00It would be really cool to see how it how it flies with the
- 22:03with the heat tiles. I think that'd be really cool.
- 22:06Would it be worth it though? Happy I want to ask everybody
- 22:08here to what it'd be worth it. To launch a ship.
- 22:12You know a Starship not the fully stacked super heavy but
- 22:15just a Starship to test you know navigation and also test the the
- 22:20titles to see if they'll actually you know sustain a
- 22:23launch CH because I think would be important to know the data
- 22:28for a launch of a ship. And if the tiles were to fall
- 22:32off during that launch, you know, the re-entry could be
- 22:36devastating. So, moving forward with that.
- 22:39The You know, if they if they get sent ship 20 up, it would be
- 22:44a glorious way to end a shift 20s career.
- 22:47But also is it worth it to launch it and then have a mishap
- 22:51and you know possibly destroy some, some infrastructure at
- 22:58Starbase launch site, it just to get, you know, a little bit of
- 23:01data from the from the From the, from the flight.
- 23:06So, is it worth it? I don't know.
- 23:09I don't think it is but that's up to those guys because they're
- 23:13the engineer's, you know, they're the people that need to
- 23:15know this information, but I would love to see it.
- 23:19I would absolutely love to see it.
- 23:20I don't think it's worth it though, but well, you never know
- 23:23to that's the thing. Like if they think, it's think
- 23:26it's pertinent and I think it's possible to do it without any
- 23:29damage to the to the launch site then.
- 23:32Yeah, they might as well. I mean, May as well get that
- 23:35data if it's going to be important to Future flights of
- 23:38the next ship. So environmental review six days
- 23:45away. So six days from now, we're
- 23:47going to do a countdown climb timer here on the on the
- 23:50channel, will do a Starship countdown timer so stay tuned
- 23:54for that to. That'll be amazing.
- 23:59It'll just be a funny gag kind of thing, you know, like
- 24:01robitaille, all right, we're just waiting, you know, we're
- 24:03just waiting for the FAA and then they're going to push it
- 24:06back a month, probably, you know, you never know what the
- 24:08FAA to if they get to the end of this process.
- 24:11And they say, Hey, you know, this doesn't look good.
- 24:15They could postpone it for another month, holy cow.
- 24:19Did we just get another Super Chat?
- 24:20We did. Thank you, thank you, thank you,
- 24:23thank you, Ellen, for the gas money.
- 24:26I do appreciate that. That's really helpful.
- 24:29Awesome. Very, very cool.
- 24:32Now, let's move on to another thing that I was thinking about
- 24:34the other day, we brought this up in another episode but an
- 24:38elite. Thank you so much for that,
- 24:39that'll get me to Starbase with the gas prices.
- 24:41Is rising and you know, fluctuating, you never know when
- 24:46you're going to get enough gas, in your tank to get down there
- 24:49again. So thank you so much for that
- 24:50and I brought this up this next topic up on another video space
- 24:56Hub. Underscore SL says, what's your
- 24:58guess? Elon Musk?
- 25:00You know, moon landing and Mars. Landing basically. 1969, moon
- 25:03landing in the Mars Landing 20 Elon says 2029.
- 25:10So That was it, that's it, that's it.
- 25:13That's, that's his, his vision. His goal is to send people to
- 25:17Mars by 2029. Now, with the rapid iteration of
- 25:21Starship, the way it is, and with the players program moving
- 25:24forward in dear Moon and etcetera, those will be
- 25:28happening in the next few years. So, these flights that are
- 25:31happening, you know, with with Starship and as testing, that's
- 25:35happening with Starship right now, they have to move forward
- 25:38with it and 2029, you know, we're 20:22 right now.
- 25:42Seven years from now, seven years.
- 25:44Could they have the infrastructure in place at
- 25:48Kennedy Space Center to have because they're not going to do
- 25:51it from Boca Chica? There's no, there's not enough
- 25:53energy infrastructure down here to do all that stuff.
- 25:55Yet this place Boca Chica Starbase is the Pathfinder for
- 26:01everything that's happening at Kennedy Space Center.
- 26:03And of course, if you're going to launch people to Mars for the
- 26:06first time, you want the cooperation of NASA, you want
- 26:09the cooperation of Kennedy Space Center.
- 26:12You want all the cooperation from all the people involved.
- 26:16So yeah, Ilan said 2029 And seven years from now.
- 26:22That's it's a possibility. It's a pretty big possibility
- 26:26that that happens. Now, one more thing before we
- 26:30go, did I mention this in the very early beginnings of the of
- 26:34the show? But there was a, I was talking
- 26:37about the wind and the weather down here, right now, we have a
- 26:41hazardous weather outlook for all of today.
- 26:44Basically, we have a Red Flag Warning going on down here, the
- 26:49temperature right now, Was 84 degrees, fair and Breezy.
- 26:53Wind gusts were pretty high earlier today.
- 26:55I would say, I don't know, I was hitting probably 20 miles an
- 27:00hour where I am, so it's probably huge down at Starbase,
- 27:04but in Brownsville wind speed 31 miles per hour, right now.
- 27:09Hazardous weather outlook right now, day one today and tonight,
- 27:14there is a high risk of rip currents.
- 27:16Of course, that's out by the by the beach.
- 27:19High. Surf advisory By the beach,
- 27:20which is where SpaceX is Red Flag, Warning is in effect for
- 27:23all of these Deep South Texas from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for
- 27:26critical fire weather conditions.
- 27:28So it's dry here, high winds and elevated risk of rip currents as
- 27:34possible, local beaches. So Red Flag Warning is going on
- 27:38a cold. Front will move through Deep
- 27:39South Texas, early this morning, linked to another day of
- 27:42elevated winds and very low relative humidity.
- 27:44This this afternoon temperatures warm up as dew points.
- 27:47Lower much more significantly than Monday.
- 27:50Day assisting relative humidity to a plummet of 15 percent or
- 27:53lower. So basically really dry and very
- 27:57windy. Possible fire stuff going on
- 27:59down. It's pretty wet near Starbase.
- 28:02So I wouldn't really consider that a huge, a huge Factor but
- 28:08it's it's totally possible. It's wet down there, but it's
- 28:11also dry in a lot of spots down there too.
- 28:14So we're SpaceX is there's a lot of concrete.
- 28:18So I wouldn't expect SpaceX to have any sort of - damage, but
- 28:22it's the wind that you have to worry about wind 20-foot,
- 28:25Northwest winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour.
- 28:29And what is say earlier here, 30 miles per hour, 31 miles per
- 28:33hour right there. So it's gusting fear and Breezy.
- 28:37Yeah, Breezy 31 mph. I'm almost knocked me off my
- 28:41feet earlier. Holy cow, Mighty dad, didn't
- 28:44thank you so much for that. Super check.
- 28:47Keep up the great content for gasps.
- 28:49Thank you. Yeah, that's going to keep me
- 28:51going for a little bit. There you go.
- 28:52You get a Starship, you get a Starship for that Super Chat.
- 28:57Thank you so much for that. Let's see here.
- 29:02What else we got? Let's do a little bit.
- 29:04Let's do a little bit chat stuff going on here.
- 29:06We're going to keep your super chat up there on the screen
- 29:08while this happens for a little bit.
- 29:10So Mark says actually you know Black Eagle gave me.
- 29:16I will give you a link to that FAA page, and there you go.
- 29:20And let's see. Mark.
- 29:22So SLS will launch first. Whoo.
- 29:26Yeah, probably probably. That's the, that's the plan.
- 29:31Right. So I think that's going to
- 29:36actually happen. I think that's going to happen
- 29:39which for me as a spaceflight Enthusiast, there's no reason
- 29:44for me to be mad about SLS to fly by itself.
- 29:47You know, there's no reason for me to to be mad that, you know,
- 29:52that one ship flies before another ship.
- 29:57This is all one thing, right? So we're moving people forward
- 30:01from Earth. Two other celestial bodies.
- 30:04So SLS, of course, will take people with the Artemis missions
- 30:09to the moon and further on and Starships going to do the same
- 30:12star-shaped actually working with NASA.
- 30:14So I think it's important that we all kind of, you know, kind
- 30:18of take a step back sometimes and it's not about teams or
- 30:20anything like that. Like which ship is better.
- 30:23Big Orange ship is bad. You know, people, you know they
- 30:25meme about it all the time but it's not the case.
- 30:30You know, we love all spaceflight, all spaceflight.
- 30:33If, if we never left Earth, this wouldn't be a thing.
- 30:37You know, like if we never launched anything past Earth,
- 30:40spaceflight wouldn't be a thing. So, SLS is important.
- 30:43Starship is important, but it would be cool if they launched
- 30:47around the same time. I think that'd be really neat,
- 30:51we heard about this last night. And today, on the news here, in
- 30:53Dallas Fort Worth, we hear Elon still has to get approval.
- 30:56Yeah. Well, they do.
- 30:57They do Joy. They do have to get approval
- 30:59still for the heh. FAA.
- 31:01So and they also have to get flight approval.
- 31:03So the environmental approval is one thing and then the flight
- 31:06approval is another thing. So they have to get both
- 31:08approvals before they before they fly this thing.
- 31:12So when they, when they build the next ship, when they do the
- 31:15Raptor twos they put them on the ship.
- 31:18The FAA has to come down inspect all this stuff, you know, the
- 31:23they have the details Etc. They have to send somebody down
- 31:26here for a flight you know, they have Fly somebody down here
- 31:30basically. Actually there was it was I
- 31:34talking to it was the other day. I was actually when I was
- 31:36shooting this footage and this is this is a blurry footage.
- 31:40I have some better footage of it but this is what I can throw
- 31:43together this morning. So the yeah the the FAA has to
- 31:52send somebody down here in order to do the things for the flight.
- 31:56So in order to prep them for the flight and get them ready for
- 31:59the flight, Right. The FAA has to be here and 11.
- 32:03FAA person missed their flight, or couldn't get a flight here
- 32:08for a Starship test launch at some point.
- 32:12So they had to cancel the launch for that day because the FAA
- 32:16person didn't show up. So it is words, there was like a
- 32:20whole complicated thing, but it was, it was kind of a funny
- 32:22thing too is a onlooker as a bystander.
- 32:26Who was deeply entrenched in a stuff.
- 32:28I think that it's important that we all know.
- 32:30There's people involved too. It's not just checking off boxes
- 32:34and you know okay rapper to can fly cool.
- 32:37Booster can fly. Cool ship can fly'.
- 32:40Okay so then you have to get government approval for all this
- 32:42stuff too. So I have to get the sign-off
- 32:45from the government that like okay these Raptor to is aren't
- 32:47going to run on the pad boosters not going to run on the pad and
- 32:50ship 20 or ship. Is it getting rid of the bed?
- 32:53There was a little slip there shipped, what he's going to be
- 32:55gone. So all those things need to
- 32:59happen before this light and it's going to be great because
- 33:02ship and booster whatever ones they use in the future that are
- 33:06going to be flying from Kennedy Space Center will have already
- 33:11have the environmental stuff done you know, already done.
- 33:17So they don't have to worry about that at least.
- 33:20So over here that right over there that right there, Starship
- 33:25shirts.com, this is one of the shirts, cramps, dangerous
- 33:29difficult you. Die.
- 33:30Those are elon's words about Starship and we put them on a
- 33:34shirt. So Starship shirts.com, you get.
- 33:3620% off all of your orders on, check out, no matter what, you
- 33:39don't need a coat or anything, you just go in there and check
- 33:41it out and actually, you know what, I think, I think I bumped
- 33:44it up to 33%. So I'm going to keep it there
- 33:47for the remainder of the day. So you get it, like, a 25 dollar
- 33:50shirt for 17 bucks or something like that.
- 33:53I think, don't quote me on those numbers because, you know, I
- 33:58might not be right with that. At, let me see what the price is
- 34:01here. But anyway, yeah that's the best
- 34:06the the case for this time here. So let me check this out for
- 34:10you, make sure that we have all this stuff ready.
- 34:13Starship shirts? We have our own site.
- 34:14We have our own merch brows. Now, this is the this shirt
- 34:18right here. Cramped dangerous difficult, you
- 34:20might die. It's a mobile friendly.
- 34:22And I have this kind of cut off on the other video just so you
- 34:26can so I can fit more stuff in here.
- 34:28Cramped dangerous difficult. You might die.
- 34:30Starship y-you. Just A Myers.
- 34:33Short sleeve t-shirt, Ilan said that about going to Mars so
- 34:37numerous colors let's add it to the cart and see how much see
- 34:40much of a discount I get because I'm just going to do a large.
- 34:43Add to cart. There we go.
- 34:46Let's do check out. I think it automatically does it
- 34:48on check out too. So yeah.
- 34:51So you get a discount, the YouTube discount, it's like
- 34:54Seventeen dollars. So you get $8.23 and this may
- 34:58vary depending on where you are and you know, taxes etc, etc.
- 35:02But you Get an automatic 33% discount on your shirts at
- 35:06Starship shirts.com, but you can load up on shirts, you know.
- 35:10Buy a bunch of them if you want. Yeah, 33 percent off all your
- 35:14order, your whole order. So that's my favorite one right
- 35:17there. That's pretty cool.
- 35:18It's classic. It's like an old old 50s diner.
- 35:22Kind of pretty neat. Anyway, enough about that.
- 35:28Let's get back into some SpaceX stuff.
- 35:31So there's the FAA stuff but Yeah, the like moving forward
- 35:34with SpaceX Starship and we're just going to keep an eye on it
- 35:38especially with what new boosters are coming out what new
- 35:41ships are coming out ship 22. Possibly you know we'll have to
- 35:46look into it in a little bit further and see see what ships
- 35:51are going to be produced in the near future.
- 35:54Now they're moving a crane over to booster for right now.
- 35:58Like I was saying earlier, they're going to, I think
- 35:59they're going to lift booster, for off of Off the off the pad.
- 36:05The launch pad at SpaceX is Starbase launch site.
- 36:08Looking to move it onto what we refer to, as the can crusher,
- 36:12which basically puts it through so much stress that it could
- 36:16possibly destroy the, the booster, so they don't want it
- 36:21to destroy the booster. But this may be the final test
- 36:25of booster for if they put it on, the can crusher.
- 36:28It just Blow it out, you know, shake it up so much that, you
- 36:34know, the thing gets decimated. So it would be, it would be
- 36:39unfortunate would be sad but it would go out with a blaze of
- 36:42glory. So that's pretty cool.
- 36:44I would be cool with that. Let's see.
- 36:48Hey Michael. What's up?
- 36:50What's up? We're just wrapping up here and
- 36:52I'm, you know, I'm just figuring out the some of the final stuff
- 36:57that's happening. I know they're moving.
- 36:59For off the pad today hopefully and I know the the wind down
- 37:03there is pretty pretty rough. So yeah, we're looking into that
- 37:10as well. So mighty, thank you so much for
- 37:14that. So we're looking into so many
- 37:18things today. So many things that are
- 37:20happening. What are they going to do is
- 37:22ship 20? We're not sure yet.
- 37:24Are they going to put it in the Rocket Garden?
- 37:26Possibly are they just going to scrap it?
- 37:29Maybe. Are they going to sell the tiles
- 37:31off to everybody that loves SpaceX?
- 37:33Nope, they're not gonna sell that stuff.
- 37:36So, yeah, I wish they would, I wish they would sell like just
- 37:40give me a tile, man, that would be awesome.
- 37:41I would love to have that this like as a conversation piece,
- 37:44just put it up on my mantle, you know.
- 37:46And just have a piece of Starship.
- 37:48I think that'd be really neat but yeah thanks.
- 37:52Yeah. Thanks everybody for for hanging
- 37:53out today and thanks for so much for all the super chats.
- 37:56I really do appreciate it. We had a bunch of people El
- 37:58hogar. Oh Happy Perpetual nerd.
- 38:02Ellen. Mighty we have so many people
- 38:06super chatting and super stickering right now.
- 38:09That really do appreciate it and can really use that those
- 38:15resources to bring you more content like this.
- 38:18And I do plan on doing more live content from Starbase in the
- 38:23near future. I'm figuring out logistics as
- 38:25well. I do film there a lot, but I'm
- 38:27figuring out more Logistics better.
- 38:29Takes for filming and not filming but live streaming from
- 38:34Starbase more. So because the signal down
- 38:37there, you have to use a self fit a cell signal and it's not
- 38:41that good. So starlink is on its way.
- 38:45Sometime in the future, I have ordered it and due to the due to
- 38:50the very generous people from this stream and fans of the
- 38:56show, you know it's been It's been very, very humbling to see
- 39:03that happen. So thank you, everybody.
- 39:06Like, all the stars are all the super chats, all the super
- 39:09stickers, all that stuff goes directly back into the show.
- 39:12Basically, I don't take a profit for this.
- 39:15I just live my life and do this show, that's that's it.
- 39:19So thanks everybody for that. Final set off for be for bye-bye
- 39:23before by ship 20. You were my you're my go-to man.
- 39:28I am that. I'm the ship. 20 booster for,
- 39:31they were my team, but now and I was, I was adamant like, why
- 39:36would they go? Why would they move forward?
- 39:38Why would they move forward with another booster?
- 39:39Another ship. There's no reason to if these
- 39:41things work, but they found a reason to.
- 39:46Yeah, they found a reason to and like I have no control over
- 39:49that. So for me, I'm happy to be wrong
- 39:53like it's okay to be wrong. I'm totally okay with that.
- 39:56I'm totally cool with that. I would rather be wrong.
- 39:59Get, you know, get more information about the next
- 40:02booster in the next ship, then to be like, stick with my guns
- 40:06and be right all the time. You know, like scientific
- 40:09method, you're wrong like 87% of the time and then you find, you
- 40:14know, that's just how it is. And if you're okay with being
- 40:17wrong, and then you're in the right industry because most of
- 40:19the time, this stuff doesn't really work out too well.
- 40:23I see some Vehicles as well moving down highway for right
- 40:28now. I'm not sure.
- 40:29If they're if they're roads closed, or if the roads open
- 40:32again, but it was closed a little bit ago, I didn't get a
- 40:36beach closure signal from Boca Chica Beach.
- 40:40So, not earlier today. Yeah.
- 40:43Do I taco trucks? Michael Maxie says be for can be
- 40:49moved by using the Chopsticks. Just like SN 20.
- 40:53Whoo. Yeah, that would be.
- 40:56That would be something great. Wasn't it?
- 40:58That'd be cool to watch. I hope that happens.
- 41:00I really do. You don't have some RGV allies
- 41:06to help him with the FAA. Yeah and I think you know I
- 41:10think you Lon you know Ilan has worked and SpaceX has worked
- 41:15with the FAA for a decade now so there's a lot you know, there's
- 41:21a lot of communication between the two and you know it's not
- 41:25like it's not like Elon is fighting the FAA or anything
- 41:28SpaceX isn't fighting. The fááá, you fááá aren't the
- 41:31bad guys here, you know, they're all Well they're all working
- 41:34together to get this to work, to get it to work, right?
- 41:37You know the it's not like a it's not a fight, you know.
- 41:39Some people think it's like a fight like SpaceX is fighting
- 41:42for this, they're working together, it's a team, it's a
- 41:45team effort. So I want to make sure that
- 41:47everybody realizes that. It's a team thing that the
- 41:49government isn't out to get Elon Musk.
- 41:53There's a lot of people. Well oh man, my cup just
- 42:00squirted all over me. So there's a lot of people that
- 42:05really think really think that SpaceX in the FAA, or the FAA
- 42:12and the government are out to stop SpaceX from launching
- 42:15Starship. Now, the reasoning behind that
- 42:19is I don't know, I don't know why they would, why would they
- 42:22stop this from happening? Is it because they, you know,
- 42:26people think there's like a, you know, they have any interest in
- 42:32helping out the old space companies but it's in the best
- 42:36interest of everybody to help out whatever is going to work
- 42:39better. You know.
- 42:41It doesn't matter what kind of relationships you have with
- 42:43people plus that's corruption and that's collusion.
- 42:46That's all sorts of against the law.
- 42:48And there's, there's so many things that could be, you know,
- 42:54could be really bad for the government and really bad for
- 42:59the FAA if something like that were to be found out.
- 43:03So, I don't think they can and people are say yeah, there are
- 43:05some people that are conspiracy theory minded, this a while,
- 43:09they're just good at, they're just better at covering it up
- 43:11now. No, they're not there people.
- 43:14There will be somebody if that's happening.
- 43:16There will be somebody that says no we're not going to do this
- 43:19and they'll figure out a way to you know, figure out a way to I
- 43:24get this thing working. But it seems like there are two,
- 43:26there are so many people that are conspiracy minded about this
- 43:29thing but it's not like that at all.
- 43:31It's not like that at all. The The RGV reps.
- 43:35Want SpaceX starbases. Yeah, I actually read an article
- 43:38the other day. I can remember where I read it
- 43:40but it was really. There we go.
- 43:45I had it up on a tab actually. People have Cameron County,
- 43:49probably do not realize how big an economic impasse impact
- 43:52SpaceX is having it on the area from the Rio.
- 43:54Grande Guardian, Rio Grande Guardian.
- 43:59Let's see. Executive director of the
- 44:02greater Brownsville incentives, Corporation Helen Ramirez in
- 44:062021 SpaceX have employed, 1,600, direct employees, the
- 44:11invention that going up 30%. So as to say around 2,000
- 44:15employees, if you take into consideration camera County, the
- 44:18amount of jobs and contract labor.
- 44:20We are really talking about 6,000 jobs with in Brownsville
- 44:25and Camera County. That is our largest employer.
- 44:29Yes. Jobs and also SpaceX is spent
- 44:35over four hundred and thirty million dollars.
- 44:37Locally she said the money is gone on to operations payroll
- 44:40construction and capital expenditure so 430 million
- 44:43dollars for this area. This was a very poor area
- 44:47financially before SpaceX got here and six thousand jobs in
- 44:51Brownsville and the surrounding area that is a lot of people
- 44:55employed so there's no way the FAA would step in and say no
- 44:59unless there's something Unless there's something horribly wrong
- 45:04with the environmental stuff going on.
- 45:06But there's no, there's no. There's no reason why they would
- 45:10stop 6,000 jobs from happening as 20 has vac engines and the
- 45:17likes of suborbital flight is not likely.
- 45:19Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too.
- 45:21Like, why would they, why would they risk anything?
- 45:23Let's take it, you know, bolt on some legs to it AI number 42,
- 45:29you know, if they get Bowl some legs, But I don't see that
- 45:31happening. Will you move to Florida,
- 45:34Robert? That's a really great question.
- 45:37And the answer is I'm not sure I love it here.
- 45:40I think it's really cool in Brownsville.
- 45:43I think it's really great in this area and I really love to
- 45:45see like the Skunk Works going on at Starbase, I think it's
- 45:48really cool. There are there are Vehicles
- 45:51going down to Starbase right now.
- 45:54I'm looking at another stream but there's a lot of there's
- 45:56some vehicles moving down to the launch site.
- 45:59So I think the roads are open again.
- 46:03S20 could do a high-altitude hop to test the heat shield.
- 46:07I mean, if they launched it into, I mean, they could launch
- 46:10it into the Gulf, but they'd have to go through all sorts of
- 46:12Permitting to do that. So would it be worth it to just
- 46:16get some heat title data to launch it into the Gulf?
- 46:20Probably not. It seems like that would be a
- 46:22lot of work, just to get some, some heat.
- 46:24I'll test going to have a Tracker to go to the FAA with
- 46:28flights that are in the air right now, Joy.
- 46:31Why I do have one. I have I have one bookmark
- 46:33somewhere but I haven't used in a little bit.
- 46:40You can see what's in the air now.
- 46:42If I'm correct. Yeah, you can all the public
- 46:44stuff, you can see what's in the air for the FAA tracker stuff.
- 46:49And there's, there's flight trackers all over the place you
- 46:51can find them. There's so many different flight
- 46:53trackers all over the Internet. So, just pick one basically pick
- 46:59one of, you'll find one, and you'll find some get
- 47:02information. Yeah, so so SpaceX hasn't had
- 47:07any sort of overpressure event. Happening in the last little
- 47:15while, you know, since four months, so static fires aren't
- 47:20going to be happening with booster for, that's that's what
- 47:23we're guessing static fire for booster for probably isn't going
- 47:25to happen. These are these are wrapped or
- 47:27ones booster for so there's really no need.
- 47:30If they're going to be moving on to booster or another booster in
- 47:33Raptor twos, there's no need to test these Raptor ones on
- 47:36booster for, it's just what they're going to be doing.
- 47:39More pathfinding more testing of, you know, chapstick testing
- 47:44and probably lifting some stuff up.
- 47:46It seems like they're doing okay with that stuff though.
- 47:50So there's really no reason to keep moving with the with
- 47:54booster for and ship 20. Because their relics now they're
- 47:58old, they're not going to be used but they could be doing
- 48:01some testing on them to test out you know passable the orbital
- 48:05flight pad and Stage 0 so we'll see.
- 48:12We'll see hard to test the heat shield if you can't see the heat
- 48:15shield when it lands in the gulf and have to catch land on, catch
- 48:19arms and risk breaking and causing more delays.
- 48:22Yeah, exactly. That's that's another thing too.
- 48:26You know, we're hoping that works out well but yeah, getting
- 48:30the getting the flight up would be really really great.
- 48:35Would be really cool. William Cantina you get a
- 48:37Starship. Look at that.
- 48:39You get a launch separation and a Think of a Starship, what's
- 48:43up, dude? William County do and I used to
- 48:46skateboard together back in the day.
- 48:48Good dude, good good, dude. Thanks, dude.
- 48:51I appreciate that. That's really cool.
- 48:53I'm gonna have to snowboard again.
- 48:55Sometime that would be fun. Looking for the Travis Rice Pro,
- 48:58brother, Travis Rice Pro, gotta get some, get some, get some
- 49:02turns in this year except I'm a Texas.
- 49:04So I'm going to have to take a trip.
- 49:06So yeah. We're going to hook it up, it'll
- 49:08be fun. Hope you're still riding.
- 49:10Dude that Good, thanks for that super chat too because that's
- 49:15going to help get me down to Starbase like four times, I
- 49:19think or is that back and forth. I'm not sure back and forth
- 49:22twice so thanks for that. Appreciate that.
- 49:25All the all the super chats, all the super stickers, go right
- 49:29back into the show, go right back into the program.
- 49:31And so we can continue doing these things and staying down
- 49:34here at Starbase, Texas and Brownsville and keep you up to
- 49:38date with everything that's going on down here and get your
- 49:40footage. Just check out the channel.
- 49:43I have hundreds of hours of ship 20 booster for footage and
- 49:50here's another video, I want to show you guys this video to
- 49:52because I thought this is kind of me.
- 49:54I did a I did a check this out in the In the chat there.
- 50:04Check that link out that is for the full stack test of ship 20.
- 50:10And booster for the other day, from on the 18th, pretty neat.
- 50:14I had to it was very windy so I had to stabilize it in the
- 50:17stabilization. Didn't work too well.
- 50:18But did what? I could very cool.
- 50:21The wind continued another $5. Thank you so much for that.
- 50:24You are amazing. You are absolutely amazing.
- 50:27Thank you so much for that. Will be transitioning to the
- 50:31five dollar. Ship-launched momentarily.
- 50:36There we go. Thanks!
- 50:38Thanks a lot. Appreciate that, man.
- 50:42So Brownsville or Harlington has a great Park to skateboard.
- 50:46Brownsville is a pretty good Park?
- 50:47Yeah, I've been there in Arlington.
- 50:48Has a pretty good like pretty mellow Park?
- 50:51I like it there. Yeah, should be pretty cool.
- 50:55You know, and he'll on down here, in down here in
- 50:59Brownsville, he's donated a bunch of money.
- 51:03Millions of dollars for people to go to school like the kit for
- 51:08the kids. Basically to go to school here,
- 51:11he's also donated millions of dollars for downtown Brownsville
- 51:14to be renovated and rejuvenate it.
- 51:17But I downtown's Brownsville is classic Texas you know and you
- 51:24drive down through downtown Brownsville.
- 51:26It's completely different than the rest of Brownsville breast
- 51:29Brownsville is like Notice it's built up, its Commerce.
- 51:35You know, there's people there is like a little strip mall.
- 51:38There's a Target. There's like all that stuff like
- 51:40fast food, etc, etc, but in downtown Brownsville is classic
- 51:43Texas and Elon wants to help keep it that way, but also helps
- 51:48us stay in it and make it better.
- 51:49So he's donate a bunch of money to this area and Cameron County
- 51:53to just to keep it going. You know, he wants, he wants the
- 51:57future kids to, you know, to have the training to To help him
- 52:03with SpaceX in the future basically but Brownsville is
- 52:07awesome. I love it here it's really cool
- 52:09there. So there's a lot of opportunity
- 52:11here to, you know, I was I was talking to some of the other day
- 52:15and it's an engineer, you know? He's a, he's a metal worker, and
- 52:20he was just hanging out, you know?
- 52:22I was just hanging out with them, and he was like, so, so
- 52:26what do you do? And I was like, oh, I film
- 52:27SpaceX and he's like you film SpaceX but he mean I was like,
- 52:31well, Day. My daily routine drive down to
- 52:35SpaceX stand out of side of a really hot dirty Road for a
- 52:39couple hours. Guess what?
- 52:41E and then film, whatever the doin down there.
- 52:44He's like, what do you do that? It is ask me where I do and I
- 52:47said YouTube and he's like, really people watch that I'm
- 52:50like oh people love it. I love it like this.
- 52:52I moved here from New York and he was like what?
- 52:56So he didn't understand why I moved here because it's just for
- 52:59him. It's a normal day but he's like,
- 53:01yeah, I'm looking forward. Work.
- 53:03You know, I lost my job and I'm like, if you tried SpaceX and
- 53:06he's, he's a metal worker and he's like, no, I haven't.
- 53:09So I said I said, well, you should try SpaceX and they have
- 53:12a bunch of jobs down there, engineering jobs and, you know,
- 53:16stuff they have a actually have a, have a shuttle that brings
- 53:20people down to Space X. So if you're in town here in
- 53:23Brownsville they'll drive you, there you go to work, they drop
- 53:26you off and then you come back and get you when your, when your
- 53:28shifts done. So yeah.
- 53:31Pretty pretty interesting. See that, you know, they could
- 53:34have an impact on this guy and they could possibly get them a
- 53:38good high paying job in this in the area and he could like the
- 53:44place that I'm going to be, like, totally honest with you
- 53:45guys. Kenneth, thank you so much for
- 53:47that. Super Chat.
- 53:48Thank you so much. There is your Starship.
- 53:51You get a Starship and you get a Starship.
- 53:53Everyone gets a Starship. I wish I was, I wish I'd like
- 53:57Oprah. You know how she looks?
- 53:58Like you get this, that'll be great.
- 54:01But I don't but thank you. So much for the super check
- 54:04Kenneth. I appreciate that.
- 54:06So the local people here, you know, they're they're
- 54:08hard-working people and there is the docks, right?
- 54:12So there's the port of Brownsville and they work with
- 54:16heavy, huge machines all the time.
- 54:19So this is a great place for SpaceX to be because they
- 54:23already have the workers here. You know there's no reason to
- 54:26not have the have that here because it's a great place to
- 54:29launch rockets but also they have the workforce.
- 54:32So So this person that I was talking to the other day, he was
- 54:34like, I'm an engineer. I'm a, I'm a, I'm a metalworker.
- 54:38I was like, just go for it man. I was like, they're looking for
- 54:40people all the time. So SpaceX has had a huge impact
- 54:45on Brownsville and I can see it. Like I can literally see it
- 54:49because Brownsville before I got here, six months ago.
- 54:54Just like pretty about the other side of town but it's like 10
- 54:58minutes away from me. Empty Fields.
- 55:01Nothing right? Three months in two apartment
- 55:06complexes shut up. They need places for these
- 55:09people live and also there's a new shopping center, big builds.
- 55:13There's numerous shopping centers, being built numerous
- 55:15gas stations, which is funny because there's a pretty big tub
- 55:19population of Tesla's here, which is It's when I, when I
- 55:24moved here, I was like, probably going to be like big pickup
- 55:26trucks, right? Like there are a lot of big
- 55:28pickup trucks here but I see a lot of Tesla's here so because
- 55:32there's a Tesla dealership Tessler, a Tesla dealership, the
- 55:38north side of town around the whatever the other on the other
- 55:41side of town and yeah but I see Tesla's all the time and it
- 55:46shows that people here are making the money to have a
- 55:49Tesla. You know, if you buy a Tesla
- 55:50it's at least forty thousand. if not more so your payments are
- 55:55going to be let's just say 600 bucks a month at the basic like
- 55:59basic 600 bucks a month for a car just for a vehicle and you
- 56:06know if you live in an apartment your rent the rent here is
- 56:09ridiculously cheap like ridiculously cheap and the you
- 56:14know I was I was driving around the other day and by the sports
- 56:18park here they're building a new kind of cul-de-sac like really
- 56:22Nice new homes. Like beautiful, beautiful new
- 56:26homes. And there's a sign on it that
- 56:28says, starting at seven hundred and twenty-five dollars per
- 56:31month. And I was like, wait a second, a
- 56:35whole house, like a brand-new 2022 house with everything,
- 56:41seven hundred and twenty-five dollars a month and I thought
- 56:45this cannot be right. This can't be right like that
- 56:48doesn't make any sense. Because rent, where, where I'm
- 56:52from The New York a house like that would be if you're going to
- 56:56rent it, it's going to be twelve hundred two thousand dollars per
- 56:59month. But down here, you can get a
- 57:01house for seven hundred and twenty-five dollars a month.
- 57:04It's it's ridiculously good pricing on housing right now and
- 57:08also gas prices are only four bucks plus depending on where
- 57:12you get it some places a little bit more.
- 57:15If you go outside the town, the gas prices have risen here, it
- 57:20was late was much lower before. So taking that into account it's
- 57:24actually a really good place to live because there's everything
- 57:28you kind of need right here in Brownsville in the surrounding
- 57:32area like area like Arlington or halogen sorry and you know
- 57:37there's stuff. 20 minutes away that we don't have in
- 57:39Brownsville but it's only a 20-minute drive away.
- 57:42It's really cool. The AC bill will get you.
- 57:45Yeah, that's what get that's what gets you.
- 57:47The electric bill electric bill. Really does get you.
- 57:50You can have a inexpensive house.
- 57:52Aus, a really nice inexpensive house.
- 57:54But when the AC kicks on like my AC has been on since the day I
- 57:57moved in here. You know, by AC has been good,
- 58:00it's been cranking and yeah, the bills actually, you know, the
- 58:04bills aren't that expensive. I've had it the same, the same
- 58:09price or the same the same temperature.
- 58:14Since basically, the day I moved in, like as low as it can get,
- 58:17and it's relatively good pricing, so, but it's pretty
- 58:24good. Like, I'm okay with it, you
- 58:26know? Like, I've lived in much more
- 58:28dumpy your way dumpy or places for more money and like, I'd
- 58:35rather live here because it's cheap.
- 58:37It's cheap and you have, you know, you have all the things
- 58:40you need, right? So that's pretty cool.
- 58:43And you have a SpaceX rocket Factory like 20 minutes away
- 58:46from you. So thats pretty cool too.
- 58:48So that's like sort of a sort of up side note for my for
- 58:52everybody that's, you know, that's wondering what's going on
- 58:55in Brownsville in the surrounding area.
- 58:57You know. There's of course, you know,
- 58:59it's not a really It's not a very rich area you know not yet
- 59:06but I think prices will go up in the next few years.
- 59:08If they're if SpaceX continues doing what they're doing there's
- 59:11going to be more high-paid. Engineer's more high-paid
- 59:15everybody because SpaceX pays well and they're okay with
- 59:19paying California prices in Texas, you know.
- 59:22So yeah the moving forward I think SpaceX is going to do a
- 59:27great job with helping out the Brownsville and surrounding
- 59:32areas, Cameron County, Etc because Yeah, so that's that's
- 59:39the that's the thing, right? So they're bringing a lot of
- 59:45people here. Will count Cena says recovered
- 59:47Hornell skateparks shred. When you visit?
- 59:49Yes. Yes, we will.
- 59:50That'll be fun. Yeah, so that is going to wrap
- 59:55it up for today everybody. I really do appreciate your
- 59:58time. I appreciate everybody here for
- 1:00:02helping out. I'm trying to figure out if I
- 1:00:04can find who helped out today. Day.
- 1:00:08So I can give you guys a shout out.
- 1:00:10Kenneth thank you so much Bill Conti no Twice Mighty Downton
- 1:00:15Alan Perpetual nerd. All Hung Gar.

- 1:00:23That's right. The first and foremost happy
- 1:00:25Cappy. Thank you so much everybody for
- 1:00:27the super chest today. Thank you for the super
- 1:00:29stickers. Thanks for supporting the cause
- 1:00:31down here in Brownsville. Like I said before, everything
- 1:00:35that we are in from doing these shows these podcasts, Goes
- 1:00:38directly back into getting footage of Starship Starbase so
- 1:00:42we can make more videos, bring you all the information that you
- 1:00:44can get from Starbase and Beyond to the Moon to Mars and Beyond.
- 1:00:51So, I'm out of here for now today, guys, that's it for me.
- 1:00:55Really do appreciate everybody stopping by, please hit the like

- 1:01:08Only takes a second, so yeah, Mark says, Thumbs Up.
- 1:01:11Everybody Rod Trader. Hey man.
- 1:01:13What's up, Boca? Chica was retirement venue
- 1:01:15before SpaceX. Now you're working another work
- 1:01:18as I come. Yeah, Michael Max.
- 1:01:19Exactly was a retirement destination super chill down
- 1:01:22there. Super chill.
- 1:01:26Yeah, it's super cool down there to like there were what 10
- 1:01:29houses at Boca Chica, something like that.
- 1:01:33Like this out in the middle of nowhere. 30 miles from
- 1:01:36everything, beautiful, beautiful area.
- 1:01:39So thanks everybody again. I really do appreciate you.
