- 0:00Speaker 1: Christine has everything you need to know. Good morning, Christine.
- 0:02Speaker 2: And good morning, Cubby. Thank you. Well, horse-drawn carriages are
- 0:05Speaker 2: about to become a thing of the past in New
- 0:06Speaker 2: York City. City Council did vote yesterday to ban the
- 0:09Speaker 2: carriages and have them phased out by June 1st of 2028.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Despite the vote, union officials that represent drivers say they
- 0:18Speaker 2: plan to take the city to court over the matter.
- 0:21Speaker 2: President Trump saying Elon Musk restored Starlink satellite service to Ukraine.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Ukrainian forces used the military version of Starlink called StarShield
- 0:31Speaker 2: to communicate and to use drones in their war against
- 0:33Speaker 2: Russia and reported a slowdown in their service last week
- 0:37Speaker 2: that affected their air defense. And you'll be able to
- 0:40Speaker 2: do some early voting starting tomorrow in New York and
- 0:43Speaker 2: New Jersey. The polls will open up, so you can
- 0:46Speaker 2: do that. The World Series gets underway today. Milwaukee Brewers
- 0:51Speaker 2: will host the Tampa Bay Rays. Game one, the first
- 0:53Speaker 2: pitch is at 8 o'clock tonight. Cubby, I thought you
- 0:56Speaker 2: might enjoy this. McDonald's is bringing back the McRib. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Starting Tuesday for a limited time. That time of season, right?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Or that time of year? Is it usually this time
- 1:05Speaker 2: of year?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Usually late October, November, they usually push it out. Of course,
- 1:08Speaker 1: in Germany, in Munich, I went to Munich with my
- 1:11Speaker 1: wife one time.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It's on the menu all year round.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I mean, that's a reason to move there.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I love it. Okay, let's go to Munich. In
- 1:17Speaker 2: sports hockey, Devils beat the Ducks 4-1. Rangers lost to
- 1:21Speaker 2: the Maple Leafs 5-4. Islanders lost to the Kings 3-2. Football.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Bears beat the Patriots 30-24. And on Sunday, Jets will
- 1:29Speaker 2: play the Dolphins. Giants will play the Texans. Our pool here,
- 1:33Speaker 2: we're all in on the Jets.
- 1:34Speaker 1: All in on the Jets, yeah. Wow.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And the most dangerous leftover that you probably have, and
- 1:40Speaker 2: we do, in your refrigerator right now is leftover rice.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Now, how is it dangerous?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Rice is a breeding ground for bacteria. What makes it
- 1:51Speaker 2: so full of bacteria, like such a hotbed for bacterial growth,
- 1:55Speaker 2: is that it contains a lot of starch. It doesn't
- 1:58Speaker 2: contain much protein, which means it's an ideal home for
- 2:02Speaker 2: health-threatening bacteria. So a tip, cook only what you want
- 2:06Speaker 2: so you don't have any leftovers to spoil. And I
- 2:08Speaker 2: guess if it's leftover, get it in the fridge immediately,
- 2:10Speaker 2: but can't hang out there too long, apparently.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Good to know. I had no idea about that.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I know.
