- 0:00Speaker 1: Vote them out. We're going to talk today about Ghislaine
- 0:06Speaker 1: Maxwell when it comes to the episode. And Ghislaine Maxwell
- 0:12Speaker 1: and her legal team, well, they're back up to their
- 0:15Speaker 1: old tricks. Now Maxwell is objecting to another potential witness
- 0:21Speaker 1: who wants to end their civil lawsuit. We know that
- 0:25Speaker 1: she did the same thing with Annie. And now she's
- 0:28Speaker 1: up to her same old tricks once again. How in
- 0:31Speaker 1: the hell does she think she's going to stop somebody
- 0:33Speaker 1: from dropping a lawsuit against her? In what false reality
- 0:39Speaker 1: does this bipedal serpent and her team exist in where
- 0:43Speaker 1: they think that this is going to work? The only
- 0:49Speaker 1: way that these girls can be paid out from the
- 0:51Speaker 1: compensation fund is if they are not suing any of
- 0:54Speaker 1: the other people who were involved. And what Maxwell is
- 0:58Speaker 1: attempting to do here is she's trying to make it
- 1:00Speaker 1: difficult for these girls, for these girls who were abused
- 1:04Speaker 1: by Epstein and in some cases, Maxwell herself. Yet she
- 1:09Speaker 1: thinks that she has a defensible position here. She thinks
- 1:13Speaker 1: that she still controls the narrative and she's in charge
- 1:17Speaker 1: of who drops lawsuits and who doesn't well i don't
- 1:24Speaker 1: know if she's gotten the memo but her days of
- 1:27Speaker 1: controlling the narrative yeah those days are gone those days
- 1:30Speaker 1: are long over and the narrative is no longer in
- 1:36Speaker 1: the hands of their buddies in the legacy media either
- 1:42Speaker 1: they've been bypassed as well And that happened because the
- 1:48Speaker 1: survivors themselves took to social media. If they didn't take
- 1:51Speaker 1: to social media, forget it. They would have buried this story,
- 1:55Speaker 1: the legacy media. And then you see all of these
- 1:57Speaker 1: people from the legacy media starting podcasts and getting all
- 2:01Speaker 1: of this acclaim and great. Have at it. Enjoy your
- 2:05Speaker 1: corporate dollars, buddy. Happy for you. But me, personally, I
- 2:10Speaker 1: don't listen to any of that shit. I don't listen
- 2:12Speaker 1: to all these other new podcasts that are popping up,
- 2:14Speaker 1: all of this pre-packaged garbage that we've already went through.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I mean, not for nothing, but my life minutes are
- 2:23Speaker 1: the most important commodity I have. I'm not going to
- 2:26Speaker 1: waste them on hearing someone else tell me about Ghislaine Maxwell.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We know who she is. We know what kind of
- 2:33Speaker 1: bipedal serpent she is. So I don't have any time
- 2:37Speaker 1: for any of that nonsense. I don't have time to,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know, These podcasts that are produced and promoted with
- 2:46Speaker 1: corporate interests just don't have... They don't do it for me. Now, look,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm not saying that they're not good, right? And I'm
- 2:53Speaker 1: not saying that anybody else shouldn't listen to them. But me, personally,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I don't have the time for it. Unless I'm learning something,
- 3:00Speaker 1: unless it's something new or there's some context or there's
- 3:03Speaker 1: some meat added to the bone, I just don't have
- 3:07Speaker 1: the time for it. So... I just keep it moving.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And again, I'm sure a lot of these podcasts that are,
- 3:15Speaker 1: you know, produced with all, you know, all the bells
- 3:18Speaker 1: and whistles and they're all slick and this, that, and
- 3:21Speaker 1: the other thing are great, but just not for me.
- 3:27Speaker 1: All right. This article is from ABC News headline. Ghislaine
- 3:32Speaker 1: Maxwell objects to potential witness attempt to end the civil lawsuit.
- 3:38Speaker 1: lawyers for Maxwell assailed the accuser's claims as baseless. This
- 3:43Speaker 1: article was authored by James Hill. For the second time
- 3:50Speaker 1: this month, an alleged childhood sex abuse survivor is running
- 3:54Speaker 1: into unexpected opposition from Ghislaine Maxwell as the alleged survivor
- 3:59Speaker 1: tries to dismiss a civil lawsuit against Maxwell and the
- 4:03Speaker 1: estate of deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and New court
- 4:07Speaker 1: documents show the alleged survivor may be a key prosecution
- 4:12Speaker 1: witness at a criminal trial of Maxwell. So again, Ghislaine
- 4:18Speaker 1: Maxwell is attempting to stop somebody from suing them. How?
- 4:23Speaker 1: I mean, to stop somebody from not suing them. I
- 4:26Speaker 1: don't understand how she thinks she's going to force people
- 4:29Speaker 1: to not drop their civil suits, especially when it's one
- 4:33Speaker 1: of the triggers of that has been put into the
- 4:37Speaker 1: actual compensation fund. How does she think that this is
- 4:39Speaker 1: going to work? Do her lawyers really believe that this
- 4:44Speaker 1: is going to be a winning strategy? Again, they're just
- 4:50Speaker 1: throwing a bunch of shit at the wall, hoping some
- 4:52Speaker 1: of it sticks. We know that. But this is beyond
- 4:55Speaker 1: the pale, in my opinion. This is a step too far.
- 4:58Speaker 1: This is just like the first trial with Epstein and
- 5:02Speaker 1: trying to malign these girls for their MySpace profiles. Give
- 5:06Speaker 1: me a break. Because they might have hooked up with
- 5:08Speaker 1: some dudes at 14 or 15. Uh-oh, breaking news. And again,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you see the BS. You see the BS here again
- 5:19Speaker 1: with Maxwell and her lawyers trying to obfuscate, trying to
- 5:23Speaker 1: say that the original allegations were baseless, so... It just
- 5:28Speaker 1: doesn't make sense, and it falls on deaf ears, and
- 5:30Speaker 1: I highly doubt the court is going to play ball
- 5:34Speaker 1: with this. Ms. Maxwell is clearly trying to gain an
- 5:39Speaker 1: unfair advantage over all of these survivors, said Robert Glassman,
- 5:44Speaker 1: a lawyer for the anonymous plaintiff who sued the estate
- 5:47Speaker 1: and Maxwell in federal court under the pseudonym Jane Doe.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I've never had a case in my career where a
- 5:54Speaker 1: defendant is blocking the plaintiff's attempt to dismiss the plaintiff's case.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And again, look, I'm not Judge Judy, right? I'm not
- 6:02Speaker 1: Nancy Grace or one of these other people that does
- 6:05Speaker 1: this for a living, sits around and follows trials. I
- 6:09Speaker 1: don't know. I'm in the dark for most of it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But I don't think that there is any sort of
- 6:16Speaker 1: prevalence of somebody trying to stop somebody else from dismissing
- 6:23Speaker 1: a case against them. That can't be something that happens
- 6:25Speaker 1: quite often, right? And according to this lawyer, he's never
- 6:28Speaker 1: seen it before in 40 years. So I don't even
- 6:33Speaker 1: know what to say about this. I mean, it's. How
- 6:37Speaker 1: could this even be a thing? How could how could
- 6:40Speaker 1: somebody how could the court actually take this sort of
- 6:42Speaker 1: petition even halfway seriously? If I was a judge and
- 6:46Speaker 1: this shit came across my desk in the middle of
- 6:49Speaker 1: eating my jelly doughnut. I'd laugh this thing into oblivion,
- 6:54Speaker 1: and then I'd have my clerk send an email to
- 6:56Speaker 1: whoever the author was and tell them that they're a knucklehead.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And if they ever sent me anything as ridiculous as
- 7:02Speaker 1: this again, they're going to have a lot to answer for.
- 7:05Speaker 1: That's what I would say as a judge. Doe 40
- 7:10Speaker 1: accepted an offer earlier this month from the Epstein Survivors
- 7:14Speaker 1: Compensation Program... an independently operated restitution fund established by the
- 7:20Speaker 1: co-executors of Epstein's estate. To finalize the deal, she is
- 7:24Speaker 1: required to dismiss all pending litigation against the estate and
- 7:29Speaker 1: any former employee of Epstein and his thicket of companies.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And that's part of it, right? They've agreed to it.
- 7:39Speaker 1: The estate agreed to it. And these girls who are
- 7:42Speaker 1: accepting the compensation, they've agreed to it. But Ghislaine Maxwell
- 7:48Speaker 1: all of a sudden is playing a role, is trying
- 7:51Speaker 1: to throw a stick in the spokes by not accepting
- 7:56Speaker 1: the fact that these girls want to dismiss their civil
- 7:59Speaker 1: complaints against her. It's all posturing to try and give
- 8:03Speaker 1: her more of a tenable, defensible, defensive position in her
- 8:07Speaker 1: criminal case. That's what this is all about. All of
- 8:10Speaker 1: this maneuvering is about the criminal case. And that's what
- 8:15Speaker 1: they're attempting to do here. They're trying to make sure
- 8:22Speaker 1: that Ghislaine Maxwell drags her feet. They're trying to make
- 8:27Speaker 1: sure they slow things down and they're certainly going to
- 8:30Speaker 1: try and make it difficult on whoever that they possibly
- 8:34Speaker 1: can who has been accepted to this fund. The estate
- 8:39Speaker 1: would not settle the case without Maxwell being part of it,
- 8:42Speaker 1: Glassman said. Maxwell, 58, has asserted in court filings and
- 8:47Speaker 1: testimony in various civil cases that she worked for Epstein
- 8:51Speaker 1: from 1999 until at least 2006, staffing and managing his
- 8:56Speaker 1: various properties in the U.S. and Europe. She is denied
- 9:01Speaker 1: under oath that she has ever hired underage girls to
- 9:05Speaker 1: work for Epstein. Yeah, and we all know what her
- 9:08Speaker 1: word is worth, right? Her word is worth diddly squat, nada, squangeal, nothing.
- 9:16Speaker 1: So why would anyone listen to what she has to say? Obviously,
- 9:21Speaker 1: prosecutors think she lied during this deposition, or else she
- 9:24Speaker 1: wouldn't be slapped with perjury charges. But here we are.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Doe and the estate's lawyers have agreed to end the litigation,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but Maxwell's legal team is objecting, just as they did
- 9:37Speaker 1: earlier this month when Annie Farmer, another probable criminal trial witness...
- 9:42Speaker 1: tried to dismiss her lawsuit after reaching a deal with
- 9:46Speaker 1: the victim's program. And the situation with Annie is maddening
- 9:51Speaker 1: as hell, right? Enough is enough. This girl has suffered
- 9:56Speaker 1: more than enough. The Farmer family has suffered more than enough.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Let Annie get her compensation and let her move on
- 10:04Speaker 1: with her damn life. She deserves that much. Annie is
- 10:08Speaker 1: one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. She
- 10:12Speaker 1: wants to just move on with her life, I'm sure,
- 10:14Speaker 1: and try and put this in the past. And once again,
- 10:17Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is standing in the way of that. I
- 10:21Speaker 1: hope that the court comes down on her like a
- 10:24Speaker 1: piano falling out of an 80-story window in one of
- 10:27Speaker 1: those cartoons. I hope they drop the hammer on her
- 10:32Speaker 1: and they laugh all of her requests out of court.
- 10:38Speaker 1: In both cases, Maxwell's lawyers have argued that they require
- 10:42Speaker 1: unredacted copies of the agreements the woman reached with the program,
- 10:46Speaker 1: including the amount of the settlement. and documented proof that
- 10:50Speaker 1: Maxwell is released from any future liability before they'll agree
- 10:54Speaker 1: to end the lawsuits. Why should Annie or Doe have
- 10:59Speaker 1: to show what their compensation is to these people? Why?
- 11:03Speaker 1: So they can weaponize it come criminal trial time and
- 11:05Speaker 1: say it was just a money grab? Nice try, all right?
- 11:09Speaker 1: But if some bearded moron like me can see it
- 11:12Speaker 1: coming down the pipe, you don't think that Annie's lawyers
- 11:15Speaker 1: are on to you? You don't think that they're going
- 11:17Speaker 1: to be ready For a street fight? Oh, they're going
- 11:20Speaker 1: to be ready for a street fight, my friends. And
- 11:23Speaker 1: if Maxwell and her lawyers think that they're going to
- 11:26Speaker 1: weaponize this information, they are in for just another L.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I'm sure they're getting used to it by now because
- 11:34Speaker 1: they're stacking those L's like Scrooge McDuck stacks dollars, but
- 11:39Speaker 1: here we are. But in Doe's case, Maxwell's advocates went
- 11:45Speaker 1: even further, asking the court to require Doe to pay
- 11:49Speaker 1: Maxwell's legal costs for defending the civil suit and, in
- 11:52Speaker 1: a letter to the court late Tuesday, assailing the alleged
- 11:56Speaker 1: survivor's credibility in the most direct way since Maxwell's arrest
- 12:00Speaker 1: in July. Absolutely atrocious. All right. And anyone defending Maxwell
- 12:06Speaker 1: Basham or Geraldo Riviera or I kept my underpants on
- 12:12Speaker 1: Dershowitz is also a scumbag in my opinion. Any legal
- 12:17Speaker 1: team that comes out and attacks survivors in a manner
- 12:22Speaker 1: that Maxwell's team is attacking them is just otherworldly. Save
- 12:28Speaker 1: that shit for the criminal trial and for cross-examination. This
- 12:32Speaker 1: is a losing strategy here, folks. And I'm telling you now,
- 12:36Speaker 1: they already have the public opinion swayed against them. And
- 12:41Speaker 1: going this route is just not a good idea. And
- 12:46Speaker 1: whoever is advising Maxwell that this is a good idea,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I hope they keep the position that they have right
- 12:51Speaker 1: now because they're obviously adult. Doan properly brought this baseless
- 12:58Speaker 1: civil suit against Ms. Maxwell, making claims that are decades
- 13:02Speaker 1: old without a shred of documentary or corroborative support. Ms.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Maxwell absolutely denies plaintiff's claims against her. They are false,
- 13:13Speaker 1: wrote Laura Menninger, an attorney who represents Maxwell in both
- 13:18Speaker 1: civil and criminal cases. Miss Colorado lawyer, huh? Representing good
- 13:24Speaker 1: old Ghislaine. Weren't you the one who told us... That
- 13:27Speaker 1: you didn't know where she was... When people were looking
- 13:29Speaker 1: for her? Sure, I'm sure you know where she is...
- 13:31Speaker 1: When it's time to collect that bill, huh? I'm sure
- 13:34Speaker 1: that you had no problem... Tracking her down then, Mrs. Menninger.
- 13:40Speaker 1: The conflict over the resolution of Doe's lawsuit... Comes as
- 13:43Speaker 1: Maxwell is awaiting a decision... From a federal judge... On
- 13:47Speaker 1: her renewed effort to be released from jail... Pending trial...
- 13:50Speaker 1: which is scheduled to begin in July of 2021. Maxwell
- 13:55Speaker 1: has proposed a $ 28. 5 million bail package, secured primarily by
- 14:00Speaker 1: her assets, combined with those of her previously undisclosed husband, Mr.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Neckbeard himself, Scott Borgerson. Mr. Cargo Metric. Your cousin from Boston.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Another absolute buffoon. Another person who had it all, folks,
- 14:22Speaker 1: all the privilege, all the dough, had life by the guillons. Instead,
- 14:29Speaker 1: destroys his family, runs off with the bipedal serpent, and
- 14:33Speaker 1: the rest, as they say, is history. Ghislaine Maxwell is
- 14:39Speaker 1: in prison and stands accused of aiding and abetting one
- 14:42Speaker 1: of the worst sexual predators of our time. She is
- 14:46Speaker 1: trying to pay her way out of prison by putting
- 14:49Speaker 1: up over $ 28 million. Glassman, Doe's attorney, told ABC News
- 14:54Speaker 1: after reviewing Maxwell's letter Tuesday night. Now she is inexplicably
- 15:00Speaker 1: asking the judge to make a child rape victim pay
- 15:03Speaker 1: for her attorney fees and costs. It's unconscionable and sad,
- 15:07Speaker 1: said Glassman, a trial lawyer at the California firm Panache
- 15:11Speaker 1: and Boyle. He's 100% right. Trying to make this girl
- 15:15Speaker 1: pay for her legal fees? For Ghislaine Maxwell's legal fees?
- 15:20Speaker 1: You must have done and fallen and hit your head.
- 15:26Speaker 1: On what alternate universe does this sound like it's going
- 15:30Speaker 1: to work? On what planet is this okay? Doe shouldn't
- 15:36Speaker 1: have to pay one single dollar ever to somebody like
- 15:39Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell. Furthermore, let Ghislaine Maxwell dig into her bail
- 15:44Speaker 1: fund and pay for her lawyers. Kidding me right now
- 15:47Speaker 1: with this nonsense? Trying to make this girl pay for
- 15:50Speaker 1: her legal fees. You better. Oh boy, I'll tell you.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Doe alleged in her lawsuit, which was filed six months
- 15:57Speaker 1: before Maxwell's arrest, that she was first approached by Epstein
- 16:01Speaker 1: and Maxwell in 1994 when she was just 13 at
- 16:05Speaker 1: a summer arts camp in Michigan. Now we know Epstein
- 16:09Speaker 1: had a footprint at Interlochen. Interlochen, Interlochen, whatever. He had
- 16:14Speaker 1: a cabin there and he had access. And that is
- 16:17Speaker 1: where this girl says that she was approached and the
- 16:20Speaker 1: grooming began. She alleged in her complaint that she was
- 16:24Speaker 1: sexually abused over several years by Epstein in his homes
- 16:28Speaker 1: in Florida, New York, and New Mexico, and that she
- 16:32Speaker 1: would often travel to those locations with Epstein and Maxwell
- 16:35Speaker 1: on one of Epstein's private jets. Again, another girl who
- 16:39Speaker 1: says she was abused in New Mexico and nothing going
- 16:42Speaker 1: on there. Nothing. Oh, some people out there protesting, making
- 16:46Speaker 1: pretend and LARPing like they saw Jeffrey Epstein, as if
- 16:49Speaker 1: that's helpful. But in reality, there's nothing going on out there, folks.
- 16:54Speaker 1: No raids, nobody kicking in any doors, no concurrent investigations,
- 16:58Speaker 1: none of that shit. Makes you wonder why. Me personally?
- 17:05Speaker 1: New Mexico is as corrupt as corrupt could be when
- 17:08Speaker 1: it comes to their politicians and the prosecutors, etc., etc.
- 17:14Speaker 1: There should be a severe investigation into this place. If
- 17:19Speaker 1: I was the Attorney General of New Mexico, not only
- 17:22Speaker 1: would I get a warrant put onto the books, I
- 17:26Speaker 1: would go with the team that's raiding the place. Because
- 17:29Speaker 1: this shit has to end. This girl's saying she's assaulted
- 17:34Speaker 1: in New Mexico, then why is there only a case
- 17:36Speaker 1: in New York? And why is there only something going
- 17:38Speaker 1: on in the Virgin Islands? Their excuse will be, well,
- 17:42Speaker 1: it's a federal case. It's all encumber. No. Okay. The
- 17:48Speaker 1: more charges federal and locally that are thrown against these people,
- 17:52Speaker 1: the more chance they have to go to prison forever.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Pretty simple. Epstein's system of abuse was facilitated in large
- 18:02Speaker 1: part by his co-conspirator and accomplice, Maxwell, who helped supply
- 18:07Speaker 1: him with a steady stream of young and vulnerable girls,
- 18:11Speaker 1: the complaint said. Maxwell has denied the allegations in Doe's complaint.
- 18:16Speaker 1: The allegations in Doe's civil case overlap substantially with those
- 18:21Speaker 1: of victim one in the criminal indictment. Prosecutors allege Maxwell
- 18:26Speaker 1: groomed three minor girls to be abused by Epstein between
- 18:31Speaker 1: 1994 and 1997 and, in some instances, participated in the
- 18:36Speaker 1: abuse herself. Maxwell is pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
- 18:42Speaker 1: It definitely overlaps with victim number one, the story about Interlochen. And,
- 18:48Speaker 1: you know, the school, how she was groomed, how Epstein
- 18:52Speaker 1: and Maxwell normalized things. And it's unfortunately the same tale
- 18:58Speaker 1: that we have heard told over and over again in
- 19:02Speaker 1: this case. Of more than 30 women who brought legal
- 19:07Speaker 1: claims against Epstein's estate following his death last year, Doe
- 19:11Speaker 1: was the only accuser who had declined to voluntarily voluntarily
- 19:16Speaker 1: put her lawsuit on hold to pursue the alternative resolution
- 19:20Speaker 1: via the compensation program, arguing in court filings that a
- 19:24Speaker 1: stay would simply delay long overdue justice. And again, these
- 19:30Speaker 1: gals reserve the right, in my opinion, to do whatever
- 19:33Speaker 1: they want. If they want to take money from the fund,
- 19:36Speaker 1: then they should do that, and it's nobody's business. If
- 19:38Speaker 1: they want to go all the way to the end
- 19:40Speaker 1: and sue everybody in different cases in a civil manner,
- 19:44Speaker 1: that is also their prerogative. But Doe's lawsuit was placed
- 19:49Speaker 1: on hold by a magistrate judge in September after Maxwell
- 19:53Speaker 1: argued that the overlap between the civil and criminal cases
- 19:57Speaker 1: would result in Maxwell being forced to choose between her
- 20:00Speaker 1: constitutional right to remain silent and defending herself against the
- 20:04Speaker 1: claims in the civil case. Federal prosecutors also advocated for
- 20:09Speaker 1: a stay of the civil case, citing a significant risk
- 20:12Speaker 1: that proceeding with the case would adversely affect the ongoing
- 20:16Speaker 1: criminal prosecution against Maxwell. And at the time, I said
- 20:21Speaker 1: the same thing that I'm going to say right now.
- 20:23Speaker 1: The criminal case supersedes the civil case. The civil case
- 20:27Speaker 1: isn't going anywhere, right? So if Maxwell is found guilty,
- 20:31Speaker 1: then the civil charges that get reignited, it's a slam
- 20:35Speaker 1: dunk at that point. So while you have to wait
- 20:39Speaker 1: a little longer, obviously, I'm pretty confident that if Maxwell
- 20:43Speaker 1: is convicted, that your case automatically becomes a slam dunk then.
- 20:51Speaker 1: The government did not confirm in its court filings that
- 20:54Speaker 1: Doe is one of the alleged survivors in the criminal case,
- 20:57Speaker 1: and Doe's attorney has declined to comment on the parallels.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But in her Tuesday letter to the court, Menninger directly
- 21:04Speaker 1: addressed the commonalities of writing that Maxwell is currently under
- 21:08Speaker 1: indictment based on the same allegations as were made by
- 21:11Speaker 1: the plaintiff in this case. So they definitely do overlap, right? Menninger,
- 21:17Speaker 1: like a broken clock, is right every now and then
- 21:19Speaker 1: as well. And there's definitely overlap here. It's obvious that
- 21:24Speaker 1: Doe One is the same person that we're talking about here.
- 21:28Speaker 1: But I don't really see the significance in that one
- 21:31Speaker 1: way or the other. I don't, you know, if these
- 21:33Speaker 1: girls don't want to give us their names... then they
- 21:35Speaker 1: don't have to. That's part of the deal. At a
- 21:39Speaker 1: hearing last week in Annie Farmer's case, U.S. Magistrate Judge
- 21:43Speaker 1: Deborah Freeman declined Maxwell's request to be provided with details
- 21:48Speaker 1: of Farmer's monetary award from the estate. But she directed
- 21:52Speaker 1: the parties to work out a resolution themselves to end
- 21:56Speaker 1: the lawsuit to everyone's satisfaction and calling the dispute a
- 22:00Speaker 1: ridiculous problem, 100%, and a problem, mind you, that I'm
- 22:05Speaker 1: sure Doe No. 1 or Annie wants to deal with.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Sign off on it, let these girls get paid, let
- 22:11Speaker 1: them celebrate their Christmas, and let's all move on. It's
- 22:16Speaker 1: sort of beyond me how you can't work this out.
- 22:19Speaker 1: It seems like so much of a non-issue, Freeman said,
- 22:22Speaker 1: but a week later, there's no indication in the court
- 22:25Speaker 1: record that the dispute has been resolved. Farmer has publicly
- 22:29Speaker 1: identified herself as one of the three alleged survivors in
- 22:33Speaker 1: the criminal indictment of Maxwell. And again, Annie has been
- 22:39Speaker 1: really courageous here and she's taken the lead and she
- 22:42Speaker 1: has come out swinging against Maxwell and her abusers. And
- 22:46Speaker 1: if these people think that Annie's going to be cowed
- 22:49Speaker 1: or backed up or scared into silence, they have no
- 22:53Speaker 1: idea who they are dealing with. Doe's case has a
- 23:01Speaker 1: conference scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. Glassman is hoping that the
- 23:05Speaker 1: court will side with his client, dismiss the case, and
- 23:08Speaker 1: reject the demands that Doe pay Maxwell's legal fees. There's
- 23:12Speaker 1: no good faith reason in fact or law for Maxwell
- 23:15Speaker 1: to be doing this, Glassman said. I agree. No reason
- 23:19Speaker 1: at all. Except she wants to throw a stick in
- 23:21Speaker 1: the spoke. She wants to be a pain in the ass, right?
- 23:25Speaker 1: And she's doing a good job of it. Must be
- 23:28Speaker 1: nice to have so much money that you can just
- 23:30Speaker 1: burn it basically with all of these lame-ass weak strategies.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Maxwell had no role in the development of the compensation
- 23:43Speaker 1: fund by the estate, and she has not consulted on
- 23:46Speaker 1: any of its operations or decisions. But attorneys for the estate...
- 23:50Speaker 1: have said in court filings that the program requires participants
- 23:54Speaker 1: to sign a broad release of former Epstein employees like
- 23:58Speaker 1: Maxwell for finality and to prevent alleged survivors from double
- 24:03Speaker 1: dipping with more lawsuits after reaching a settlement with the estate. Now,
- 24:10Speaker 1: remember when Maxwell was using LG as a mouthpiece in
- 24:16Speaker 1: the media? having her pass out disinformation, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 24:21Speaker 1: And remember, I was talking about how there was some
- 24:23Speaker 1: pretty pointed comments made by Ghislaine Maxwell directed at Indyke
- 24:28Speaker 1: and Khan. So what? The cynic in me doesn't think
- 24:32Speaker 1: that the parameter of Maxwell not getting sued is because
- 24:36Speaker 1: Indyke and Khan are fearful of what Maxwell has on them. Look, again,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I don't have direct evidence of that, right? But it
- 24:44Speaker 1: definitely does connect and line up with everything that we
- 24:47Speaker 1: know of these people. And the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell
- 24:51Speaker 1: is attempting to stop this, the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell
- 24:55Speaker 1: is attempting to once again slow down the gears of
- 25:00Speaker 1: justice is downright laughable. Because I have a funny feeling
- 25:07Speaker 1: that this attempt, like the ones previously are going to
- 25:13Speaker 1: be roundly rejected. If you'd like to contact me, you
