- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, here we are, last break of the day,
- 0:02Speaker 1: another fine day on the Steve Harvey Moore Show. Yeah,
- 0:05Speaker 1: thank you so much for listening. All right, Steve, you're
- 0:09Speaker 1: up closing remarks. What you got? Yeah, you know, more
- 0:15Speaker 1: and more. I try to share things that I learned
- 0:18Speaker 1: as I pick them up, you know, I try to,
- 0:24Speaker 1: you know, when I'm talking to people about my faith
- 0:28Speaker 1: and my walk. I guess I use myself as an
- 0:32Speaker 1: example because I want to. I try to simplify for people,
- 0:36Speaker 1: because man, so many people get turned off with traditional religion.
- 0:43Speaker 1: And there's nothing wrong with church, man. I think that
- 0:46Speaker 1: church is one of the great institutions that's ever been around,
- 0:51Speaker 1: you know, But some people can't get there, and some
- 0:53Speaker 1: people get turned off by people in the church when
- 0:57Speaker 1: it's really the relationship with God that you try and foster.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But there are some people in churches that can be
- 1:03Speaker 1: quite a turn off in you trying to find the
- 1:07Speaker 1: peace you're looking for in your life or the answers
- 1:10Speaker 1: you're looking for in your life, because you go to
- 1:12Speaker 1: this building and somebody in the building ain't really a
- 1:15Speaker 1: good example of Christian or whatever your faith is, and
- 1:21Speaker 1: all of a sudden they come in and they did.
- 1:23Speaker 1: They full of more devil than being at a club sometimes.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So what I try to offer people through my own
- 1:32Speaker 1: little form of testimonies to show you that you can
- 1:36Speaker 1: have this walk with God just the way you are,
- 1:39Speaker 1: that you don't have to try to fix yourself to
- 1:42Speaker 1: have this relationship that you got to start somewhere. And God,
- 1:47Speaker 1: God deal with regular people all the time. God just
- 1:50Speaker 1: don't deal with the people that consider themselves holy. God
- 1:56Speaker 1: deal with regular people. God take regular people in tournament,
- 2:00Speaker 1: and the heroes, God take regular people. The Bible is
- 2:03Speaker 1: full of stories of regular people that God used as
- 2:07Speaker 1: an example, people who showed extraordinary exhibitions of faith and hope.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And so I just try to share with the people
- 2:17Speaker 1: stuff that I learned along the way. One of the
- 2:20Speaker 1: things I was learning, man, was I had to really
- 2:23Speaker 1: learn to accept each day just as it came to me.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And that's what I want to share with you today.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You got to people, we got to start accepting the
- 2:32Speaker 1: day as it comes to you. Do not waste your
- 2:36Speaker 1: time and energy wishing for a different set of circumstances
- 2:42Speaker 1: because it's not going to happen. Do you know how
- 2:45Speaker 1: much time and energy you burn wishing things weren't the
- 2:49Speaker 1: way they were. Do you know how much time and
- 2:52Speaker 1: energy you've wished hoping something was different and there's no
- 2:58Speaker 1: way it can be different. Spending too much time with that.
- 3:02Speaker 1: You got to accept the things in the day that
- 3:05Speaker 1: you can't do anything about and remember you and remember something,
- 3:11Speaker 1: man that instead of that, start trusting in the process
- 3:17Speaker 1: that God has a special design and a special purpose
- 3:21Speaker 1: for you even with these difficulties. Man, you got to
- 3:24Speaker 1: trust in the process. His plan for you is different
- 3:28Speaker 1: from my plan. It's different from your mother's plan, it's
- 3:31Speaker 1: different from all your friends' plans. But don't so don't
- 3:37Speaker 1: spend that much time and energy like so many of
- 3:41Speaker 1: us do, like I've done. I can't count the times
- 3:43Speaker 1: I did it, Man, wishing certain circumstances weren't the circumstances,
- 3:48Speaker 1: but they are. It is what it is. Now what
- 3:53Speaker 1: you gonna do about it? This could be an opportunity
- 3:57Speaker 1: for you to get closer to God. Sometimes trials and
- 4:00Speaker 1: tribulations and things come our way because God just want
- 4:04Speaker 1: us to be closer to him. You know how people
- 4:06Speaker 1: get aggravated all the time. People kill me when they
- 4:09Speaker 1: say this. He went to prison. He found the Lord.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He had to wait till he went to prison and
- 4:13Speaker 1: found the Lord. Okay, okay, but he found him. No, See,
- 4:20Speaker 1: everybody ain't got to go to prison to find him.
- 4:23Speaker 1: You know how I found him. I found him living
- 4:26Speaker 1: in a car. You know how else I found him.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I found him when he took everything from me twice.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You know how I found him. I found him out
- 4:34Speaker 1: to two divorces man, when they just looked like I
- 4:37Speaker 1: wasn't gonna rise no more. And guess what, I keep
- 4:41Speaker 1: finding him over and over and over again. I keep
- 4:44Speaker 1: finding how great he really is. Every time a hardship
- 4:47Speaker 1: come in my life, I find out a little bit
- 4:49Speaker 1: more about it. I find out just how powerful, how forgiving,
- 4:54Speaker 1: how loving, how merciful, how graceful he really is. Every
- 4:58Speaker 1: time something happened, when they write me off and he
- 5:01Speaker 1: lifts me up again. I keep finding out about him.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Every day I wake up how good he really is.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So don't worry about the brother. They go to prison
- 5:10Speaker 1: and find it, and now he want to tell me
- 5:12Speaker 1: about the Lord. He been sitting in a cell. Well
- 5:14Speaker 1: maybe that's what it took. Maybe that's what it took.
- 5:19Speaker 1: But the same thing it took for him to find
- 5:21Speaker 1: the Lord. Something gonna happen to you to make you
- 5:22Speaker 1: find him too. And sometimes, like I say, you need
- 5:25Speaker 1: them trials and them tribulations to get you in a
- 5:28Speaker 1: better place. These trials and tribulations ain't to break you in,
- 5:31Speaker 1: to destroy you. It's to strengthen you. You need all
- 5:35Speaker 1: it is to draw you closer. You think about it,
- 5:39Speaker 1: You wouldn't even go to God if you didn't need him.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Must be talking to myself. I know I wouldn't have
- 5:46Speaker 1: if everything went right for me my whole life. You
- 5:49Speaker 1: think I'd be talking to God all the time now
- 5:53Speaker 1: because I got everything. But I need him though, and
- 5:57Speaker 1: it pushed me to it, and I'm glad it did.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So remember stop tripping about your circumstances. Man, get yourself
- 6:04Speaker 1: in contact with your creator. God loves you, want some
- 6:07Speaker 1: relationship with you. Sometimes he trials and tribulations is to
- 6:11Speaker 1: get that relationship. Okay, those are my closing remarks. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: hope I ain't step on nobody's toes. Talk to God.
- 6:17Speaker 1: He loved to hear from you. Okay. For sure. For
