Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This morning, I cannot stay silent on this issue that
- 0:02Speaker 1: has been raised on the campaign. This comment, made by
- 0:06Speaker 1: New Zealand First candidate and former Defence Minister Ron Mark,
- 0:09Speaker 1: is outrageous and it is wrong.
- 0:11Speaker 2: The woke of diversity, equity and inclusiveness has gone too far.
- 0:16Speaker 2: The sinking of a $ 100 million ship is evidence of that.
- 0:20Speaker 2: And soldiers with man buns, they don't scare anybody. We
- 0:23Speaker 2: need to restore the proud warrior ethos of the New
- 0:26Speaker 2: Zealand military.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Ron, Ron, Ron. There is nothing wrong with expressing oneself
- 0:33Speaker 1: via a tightly held and well-manicured man bun. Some call
- 0:39Speaker 1: them twat tops, douche doughnuts, head turds. They've been called
- 0:43Speaker 1: a lot of things over the time, but a sign
- 0:45Speaker 1: of weakness? Never. Have you ever seen a Japanese samurai?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a Norse viking? Both elite warriors.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Samurai fight with swords, by the way. Use them to
- 0:56Speaker 1: literally chop off their enemies' heads. These guys are tough.
- 0:59Speaker 1: These guys are Pete Hegseth tough. They're ruthless. They're clinical.
- 1:04Speaker 1: But also a little bit stylish.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Which is quite nice. What about Jason Momoa? Goodness me.
- 1:10Speaker 1: They don't call him a Hollywood heavyweight for nothing, do they?
- 1:14Speaker 1: He's just bought a house in Queenstown worth $ 15 million.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Do you know what he paid with? Warrior cash. That's
- 1:21Speaker 1: Jason Momoa. He's a tough guy. And do you know
- 1:24Speaker 1: what he looked like doing it?
- 1:26Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 1:27Speaker 1: As anyone who's grown a bun or a top knot
- 1:29Speaker 1: knows all too well, it takes balls of steel to
- 1:32Speaker 1: stick it out through that awkward growth phase. Months of uncertainty,
- 1:36Speaker 1: of making a plan and sticking to it. You must
- 1:39Speaker 1: wake up each day to that clown mop atop your head,
- 1:43Speaker 1: look it straight in the follicles and say, damn it,
- 1:45Speaker 1: I am who I am and I'm not changing. That's
- 1:49Speaker 1: what I call courage. That's courageous. That is the warrior ethos.
- 1:54Speaker 1: These warriors should be celebrated, not sidelined.
