Transcript
- 0:15Carmen Lezeth: This is our first time in the All About the Joy Private Lounge and the reason why this came about Tony, you were not here, but Rick and Cynthia.
- 0:27Carmen Lezeth: Last night, after we had the live stream which you visited, we had this whole conversation and it was, you know, kind of what I think all people do in the green room is have the actual meaty conversation.
- 0:40Carmen Lezeth: And I started thinking about it.
- 0:42Carmen Lezeth: I've never liked having to be worried about the comment section.
- 0:45Carmen Lezeth: So I love live streaming, I love that the comment section is there, but I do think it takes us out of our space.
- 0:52Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 0:53Carmen Lezeth: So I agree.
- 0:54Carmen Lezeth: So I'm glad to see you guys how you doing.
- 0:58Tony D.: How you doing, tony, what's up, what's up, what's up?
- 1:01Tony D.: I'm trying to situate myself, so you don't have any of that craziness.
- 1:06Carmen Lezeth: Well, the craziness is because again, years now, you and your green screen, now you're all dark in the background.
- 1:12Tony D.: But I'm back in the light.
- 1:13Tony D.: Oh my God.
- 1:14Tony D.: Now that's a part of acting, Is it not?
- 1:19Carmen Lezeth: I guess.
- 1:19Carmen Lezeth: So Okay, now what were you saying about?
- 1:21Carmen Lezeth: You use rumble and clapper?
- 1:24Tony D.: I was told about rumble and clapper.
- 1:26Tony D.: I actually have no rumble and clapper, but when I was talking to people about platforms you can monetize on, Can you talk a little bit louder?
- 1:33Carmen Lezeth: I can't make you any louder.
- 1:35Tony D.: No, you're fine.
- 1:36Tony D.: Let me make sure my volume is at halfway.
- 1:37Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, Does he sound low to you guys?
- 1:41Tony D.: Yeah, Check one two, Mike.
- 1:43Tony D.: Check one two.
- 1:44Tony D.: Okay, here we go.
- 1:45Tony D.: When I was looking at platforms that you can monetize on after the previous platform shut down, I was looking at all of them I already know by YouTube and Twitch.
- 1:56Tony D.: Most recently, Facebook and Twitter allow you to monetize.
- 2:00Tony D.: People have to subscribe.
- 2:01Tony D.: Okay, cool, you have to have certain criteria and have to meet certain criteria.
- 2:05Tony D.: Not a problem, I'll try that.
- 2:06Tony D.: I'll go for whatever.
- 2:07Tony D.: I had also heard about clumper and rumble.
- 2:10Tony D.: I knew about them.
- 2:10Tony D.: I didn't know you could monetize one.
- 2:13Tony D.: Most of these monetizing platforms.
- 2:14Tony D.: You have to have subscribers.
- 2:15Tony D.: They got to subscribe.
- 2:16Tony D.: If you're doing Twitch, they pretty much got to be there.
- 2:19Tony D.: All of those crazy credentials.
- 2:20Tony D.: So what I did was, due to the frequency of my broadcasting, I wanted to get on any and every monetizing platform there was.
- 2:26Tony D.: One of the biggest things people have a problem with doing is multi-streaming, but I said first of all, it's one of the ways that I started.
- 2:32Tony D.: Number one it was like, yeah, but you can't make money off of it.
- 2:35Tony D.: Platforms started coming out which advertised monetizing during multi-streaming.
- 2:39Tony D.: People have to subscribe to you.
- 2:41Tony D.: All of these monetizing platforms pretty much require subscriptions.
- 2:44Tony D.: We got to subscribe.
- 2:47Tony D.: Dude, you said that like 15 times, just a different way.
- 2:49Tony D.: Dude, I've worked.
- 2:51Carmen Lezeth: I've worked in the creator economy.
- 2:52Tony D.: I got you that was not my question.
- 2:55Carmen Lezeth: You randomly going on and on.
- 2:56Carmen Lezeth: I'm asking you are you monetizing now on Rumble as opposed?
- 3:01Tony D.: to monetizing on any platform.
- 3:03Tony D.: I've made the most money on Twitch and I was pinched.
- 3:08Carmen Lezeth: Okay.
- 3:09Tony D.: Literally I haven't broken a hundred dollars since we left Haps.
- 3:13Carmen Lezeth: How much were you making on Haps?
- 3:16Tony D.: Over the whole time that I was there, I made about 600 total.
- 3:24Carmen Lezeth: I think you might be doing it the opposite way than I think most people do.
- 3:28Carmen Lezeth: If you're on TikTok, you focus on TikTok, you get your subscribers, you have to be consistent, blah, blah, blah, blah, and then you can monetize that way.
- 3:37Carmen Lezeth: But I mean, I don't know, it's not the route I'm going.
- 3:41Carmen Lezeth: I just think it's interesting.
- 3:42Tony D.: No, everybody else's route is working fine.
- 3:44Tony D.: I said my.
- 3:44Tony D.: What I did was try to push the envelope.
- 3:46Tony D.: I tried to get every monetizing platform that was be there.
- 3:48Tony D.: Everybody isn't always on the same platform.
- 3:51Tony D.: I always get to bring everybody to Twitch and YouTube.
- 3:54Tony D.: Some people don't do Twitch, some people don't do YouTube.
- 3:55Tony D.: Some people don't do Facebook, some people don't do Twitter.
- 3:57Tony D.: I'm like I'm always just put on all the channels that way everybody can see me in all the channels.
- 4:02Carmen Lezeth: I think the biggest problem for you is that you're not consistent.
- 4:04Carmen Lezeth: I don't know where to find you.
- 4:07Carmen Lezeth: I just know that you're on what's his name show.
- 4:09Carmen Lezeth: I know you're looking at me like that, but, cynthia, didn't you have a comment?
- 4:13Carmen Lezeth: You?
- 4:15Rick Costa: wanted to say you wanted to share the fight in the lab.
- 4:23Carmen Lezeth: You go yell at you.
- 4:24Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding, I put you on the spot.
- 4:27Tony D.: This one now, let me stop.
- 4:29Carmen Lezeth: Look at Carmen stir in the pot.
- 4:34Cynthia: Oh no, just you know, okay.
- 4:37Cynthia: So when I went on the late night parents feed the last time, we were talking about that clip with the girl and the dinner and everything like that.
- 4:50Cynthia: Yeah, exactly.
- 4:51Cynthia: So I was watching you guys in 10 and I was just like, wow, tony is very different on this show that he is on.
- 4:59Tony D.: Carmen, I'm excited to behave when I'm here.
- 5:04Carmen Lezeth: He says behave, but he just scared, I don't know Shit.
- 5:13Cynthia: It was kind of funny because Brian was actually quiet on Ted's show, but he starts trouble over here.
- 5:21Tony D.: He loves picking on Carmen.
- 5:24Carmen Lezeth: I don't know, I think he loves picking on Carmen, and Carmen is a pain, really much attention to it.
- 5:30Carmen Lezeth: But okay, I accidentally blocked him, I guess yesterday or something, and I don't know if I unblocked him now, I didn't mean to.
- 5:38Carmen Lezeth: We had some horrible person on our stream and I went to block them.
- 5:43Carmen Lezeth: I guess I blocked two people and he was the one underneath but he came back on YouTube.
- 5:49Tony D.: What last week or yesterday?
- 5:52Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yesterday.
- 5:52Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't know who it was.
- 5:55Carmen Lezeth: They said something nasty about Rick so I blocked them.
- 5:57Carmen Lezeth: But when I blocked them, I guess the person underneath also got blocking it was him.
- 6:01Carmen Lezeth: What was the name?
- 6:03Rick Costa: Peter or something.
- 6:04Carmen Lezeth: We're not going, we can send it to you, peter, or something, or what they said was kind of just out of the random blue nasty, though but, it was it was.
- 6:14Cynthia: It was like, it was like a kid the way that they were talking.
- 6:18Carmen Lezeth: Tony, I know what Tony's thinking.
- 6:22Tony D.: I know because we always got some joke that wants to come in and mess with my broadcast.
- 6:25Tony D.: All the time I've noticed a pattern with some of the troubles.
- 6:28Tony D.: I've had a bunch of them when I was on a book show, one came on mine on my foot fantasy football broadcast.
- 6:34Tony D.: The other morning, I think, one popped up on Ted show.
- 6:38Tony D.: Yeah there's a pattern that I see that Rick will be very familiar with.
- 6:41Tony D.: I'm not going to say it on camera so they don't know that.
- 6:43Tony D.: I know what the hell they doing and when I find them, I promise you I'm going to stop you in the head and I'll beat you like a daddy, should I can't wait, you know what I think you need to just let it go.
- 6:53Tony D.: I'm sorry, no, no, no, I'm enjoying.
- 6:56Carmen Lezeth: No, no, you're in the lounge now so you can drink.
- 7:00Carmen Lezeth: You can floss no, you cannot floss.
- 7:02Rick Costa: No, no, no.
- 7:05Carmen Lezeth: No, no, no, no.
- 7:05Carmen Lezeth: Look, I feel bad for people.
- 7:09Carmen Lezeth: You know we've had this conversation before, but I think at some point you say what you say, you move through that and if they keep I know this sounds weird, but it's not that I feel sorry for them, but I'm also like if that's all you got going on in your life, you're looking to be mean to somebody I don't know what to say.
- 7:29Carmen Lezeth: Like can you imagine you wake up looking and angry to find some?
- 7:33Carmen Lezeth: What are you?
- 7:35Carmen Lezeth: doing I'm just saying imagine that that's what you do every day, like I hate that angst.
- 7:43Tony D.: I want to say this because you know you guys don't hear that dog.
- 7:47Rick Costa: No, oh, now I did a little bit.
- 7:50Tony D.: Go ahead anyway, I have to say this because of how much I'm around live streams, broadcasts and all that over the past two years People doing it on purpose ain't nothing wrong with them.
- 7:59Tony D.: A lot of what I was telling people before what COVID did boredom just made people stay home was gave give negative people nothing else to do.
- 8:09Tony D.: So they went online and now they're doing it there.
- 8:11Tony D.: So there's a lot of negative people out here and I'm going to say it again.
- 8:14Tony D.: I noticed a pattern.
- 8:15Tony D.: I think I know who you are.
- 8:18Tony D.: Here's the thing.
- 8:21Carmen Lezeth: Here's my thing.
- 8:21Carmen Lezeth: I think blame it on COVID is too easy.
- 8:24Carmen Lezeth: No, no, no, you could be in the lounge, baby, you could do whatever you want.
- 8:28Carmen Lezeth: Here's my thing.
- 8:30Carmen Lezeth: See, I don't even know.
- 8:31Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, I guess it says it's live there.
- 8:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm just trying to understand how this works when I'm not actually live live.
- 8:37Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 8:38Tony D.: I like it's not even recording, but I guess this whole season of your broadcast you should take as a practice run, like I do, a mind, because as you're learning everything and you're seeing it next time you're going to do so much better.
- 8:47Tony D.: You notice it.
- 8:49Tony D.: Pick at all this.
- 8:50Tony D.: Oh my gosh, look at this.
- 8:52Carmen Lezeth: Here's what I'm going to say.
- 8:53Carmen Lezeth: I think blaming it on COVID is giving people an easy out.
- 8:57Carmen Lezeth: This has been happening since social, since we've had access to the internet or the internet or whatever.
- 9:04Carmen Lezeth: People can be anonymous, and people become anonymous and then they show their worst nasty selves, you know.
- 9:13Tony D.: When they're lonely.
- 9:13Tony D.: Or you're correct, they're just miserable.
- 9:18Carmen Lezeth: And here's the thing like what?
- 9:19Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so I mean I didn't think we're going to talk about this, but we're just going to go with whatever.
- 9:23Carmen Lezeth: What is the accomplishment?
- 9:26Carmen Lezeth: Like the person that said whatever they said and it was a random thing that they said, it was something very gross Like I don't even remember, but I remember being like I didn't even react to it, I just deleted it because I was like that's just nasty.
- 9:37Carmen Lezeth: It was just nasty and like what was the purpose to do?
- 9:42Carmen Lezeth: What exactly To?
- 9:43Tony D.: get a reaction you know what I mean.
- 9:46Tony D.: My reaction, they feed off of your reaction.
- 9:49Tony D.: They is literally feeding the beast when you react to it.
- 9:52Carmen Lezeth: But we did it.
- 9:53Carmen Lezeth: We just deleted it Although now we're having a conversation.
- 9:55Carmen Lezeth: Maybe they're winning, I don't know Winning.
- 10:01Tony D.: I was on broadcast with somebody typed we was Kang's in the chat.
- 10:05Tony D.: We was what we was Kang's.
- 10:09Tony D.: Matter of fact, y'all go ahead and Google it real quick.
- 10:12Carmen Lezeth: I'm not Googling it, but just go ahead.
- 10:13Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what that is.
- 10:15Tony D.: We, and then was WUZ, and then Kang's KANGZ.
- 10:23Carmen Lezeth: Okay, just tell us what it is, I'm not Googling it.
- 10:27Tony D.: It's an Asian term that's racist against black people.
- 10:31Carmen Lezeth: Oh see, I didn't even know that that's just trying to.
- 10:33Carmen Lezeth: Google it, you get it, I'm not going to Google it.
- 10:35Carmen Lezeth: I don't want that stuff.
- 10:36Carmen Lezeth: When you.
- 10:37Carmen Lezeth: Google stuff.
- 10:37Carmen Lezeth: All that stuff comes to you.
- 10:39Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to Google crap.
- 10:40Tony D.: That's fair point.
- 10:41Tony D.: Thank you, Carmen.
- 10:42Tony D.: That's what we're all about.
- 10:43Tony D.: I do learn from you.
- 10:44Carmen Lezeth: I know you learn from me every day.
- 10:46Carmen Lezeth: I don't know why you just don't believe that.
- 10:48Carmen Lezeth: Make me fight with you all the time.
- 10:51Carmen Lezeth: Oh, who does like you?
- 10:52Carmen Lezeth: What's who?
- 10:53Carmen Lezeth: You are Rick's like.
- 10:56Carmen Lezeth: I ain't even going to get in this conversation.
- 10:58Carmen Lezeth: But anyway here's the question.
- 11:00Carmen Lezeth: I don't want to talk about other shows you're on or whatever either, not to be rude.
- 11:05Carmen Lezeth: I just don't want to accidentally be promoting people.
- 11:08Carmen Lezeth: But here's my thing Like, what did you do about it when you saw that?
- 11:12Tony D.: All you could do was block them.
- 11:13Tony D.: Now here's what's crazy.
- 11:15Tony D.: I did block them.
- 11:16Tony D.: They came back under another name.
- 11:18Tony D.: I blocked nine different accounts in five minutes.
- 11:21Carmen Lezeth: Oh, so they're following you.
- 11:22Tony D.: No, they just did it on that broadcast.
- 11:26Carmen Lezeth: Oh, on different things that you're on.
- 11:28Tony D.: Different email accounts.
- 11:29Tony D.: Yes, People got that much time on their hands.
- 11:33Cynthia: Just keep blocking them.
- 11:34Cynthia: It's like the spam calls.
- 11:36Cynthia: I get like so many that I had to keep blocking and deleting.
- 11:39Cynthia: I don't get that many anymore, but my husband still gets them Like, just block it, keep blocking every number they call Text ones.
- 11:47Carmen Lezeth: Have you guys been getting the text ones, those spammy text things?
- 11:49Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, hey, what's going on tonight?
- 11:52Tony D.: Then, when you respond, they were like oh, I'm sorry, so what's your name?
- 11:53Tony D.: What'd you really do?
- 11:54Tony D.: Don't respond to them.
- 11:55Carmen Lezeth: Yeah I don't respond to.
- 11:57Carmen Lezeth: So my phone is blocked, like unless you have my number.
- 12:01Carmen Lezeth: Like even when I call, it's going to be a block number unless I have the code in.
- 12:05Carmen Lezeth: So I'm really shocked that some people have my number and I'm getting spam stuff.
- 12:11Cynthia: They find?
- 12:12Tony D.: ways to make a stop.
- 12:16Rick Costa: Or they just randomly put a number and see what happens to.
- 12:19Rick Costa: Yeah, I don't know, it's just fascinating.
- 12:22Carmen Lezeth: I used to have two separate.
- 12:23Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I do have two numbers, like there's a number that nobody has that I use for certain things and for business.
- 12:28Carmen Lezeth: But the other number I used to have was the number I would always get the spam calls on.
- 12:34Carmen Lezeth: And now it's like, because I've gotten rid of that one, everyone's migrating.
- 12:38Carmen Lezeth: I'm like only my banks and lawyers have had this number and my friends.
- 12:45Tony D.: And the agreement to your bank to give you a number of the third points.
- 12:49Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, no, I know, but you can't.
- 12:50Carmen Lezeth: You can't get away with it from social media at this point.
- 12:52Carmen Lezeth: I mean, it's just, everything is online.
- 12:54Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 12:55Carmen Lezeth: So, but this isn't what I wanted to talk about.
- 12:58Carmen Lezeth: But it doesn't matter, it's all good.
- 13:01Carmen Lezeth: It's all good, you know?
- 13:03Carmen Lezeth: But what?
- 13:03Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to buy you a mic.
- 13:07Carmen Lezeth: If I buy you a mic, will you use it?
- 13:09Carmen Lezeth: I think you need a mic.
- 13:12Carmen Lezeth: I don't think you realize how badly you need a mic.
- 13:14Tony D.: I don't realize how low my voice is, but I know why I'm keeping it down.
- 13:17Tony D.: So I do hear what you're saying.
- 13:18Tony D.: I'm trying to raise it up a little bit, but I understand what you're coming for.
- 13:23Carmen Lezeth: Rick's just like.
- 13:23Carmen Lezeth: This is the most boring lounge evening.
- 13:27Tony D.: That is Rick's face the whole time I've known him when he's broadcasting.
- 13:30Tony D.: I know I'm.
- 13:32Tony D.: Mr Spock Emotionless.
- 13:33Tony D.: Well, let's see singing with his eyes closed.
- 13:36Tony D.: That's all he does.
- 13:39Carmen Lezeth: Well, can we talk about relationships, since we do have you here and we don't have comments going on.
- 13:44Carmen Lezeth: Well, yesterday we were talking about men and their hands, you know, having their nails painted.
- 13:50Carmen Lezeth: If I gave you 100 bucks, would you paint your nails?
- 13:53Tony D.: No, okay.
- 13:55Carmen Lezeth: You know what I was thinking about.
- 13:56Carmen Lezeth: Rick said no too.
- 13:57Carmen Lezeth: You know what's so weird 100 bucks to paint your nails.
- 14:01Carmen Lezeth: You know it comes off right.
- 14:03Carmen Lezeth: You know it comes off like you can take it off in a day you still wouldn't do it.
- 14:10Carmen Lezeth: How do you feel about men who paint their nails?
- 14:14Tony D.: That's all there.
- 14:14Tony D.: It's actually a trend now.
- 14:16Tony D.: What guys are doing it now?
- 14:18Tony D.: Take me, I've got a nail to split I could use like the nail hard and all that on there.
- 14:23Tony D.: I've done that a couple of times.
- 14:25Tony D.: But I'm not going to walk around with diamonds, zirconias, gold, platinum, whatever on my nails.
- 14:31Tony D.: I'm not going to walk around with tips.
- 14:32Tony D.: I'm not going to stand up under there with the Asian ladies.
- 14:34Tony D.: I'm not doing that.
- 14:35Tony D.: No, honestly, carmen, I'll be honest with you For me specifically, I'm an aircraft mechanic.
- 14:40Tony D.: I can't walk around with that craziness because it's going to get messed up in damn way.
- 14:45Carmen Lezeth: I would think that'd be more of a reason why you would go get your nails done, Not to get them painted.
- 14:49Carmen Lezeth: But I would think you'd want like a nice manicure, manicure after working too hard, I'm just saying.
- 14:54Carmen Lezeth: We were just talking about it yesterday, and afterwards I was thinking like Rick, you would paint your nails and take the hundred bucks.
- 15:05Carmen Lezeth: You could paint them and then, an hour later, take them off.
- 15:07Carmen Lezeth: It wasn't like a tattoo.
- 15:09Tony D.: We understand the hustle, but some things we just won't do.
- 15:12Tony D.: Now take another.
- 15:15Carmen Lezeth: Wait, wait, wait.
- 15:15Carmen Lezeth: Is it because it's not manly?
- 15:17Tony D.: Yes.
- 15:20Rick Costa: I had a friend in New York.
- 15:21Rick Costa: She said if I pay for it, will you go with us and do a manny petty?
- 15:26Rick Costa: I said no.
- 15:29Tony D.: I did go there with my wife.
- 15:30Tony D.: I did go once with my wife.
- 15:34Tony D.: I'm going to let you do it and I'm not going to lie to you.
- 15:37Tony D.: They were surprised at my nails, because my nails wasn't as bad as they thought they were.
- 15:41Tony D.: I actually keep my fingers until it's pretty clean, Like you know how you soak your feet.
- 15:44Tony D.: And you got to put the pumice stone.
- 15:45Tony D.: She didn't even need it.
- 15:46Tony D.: She was like why am I here?
- 15:48Tony D.: I said I just want to prove it to everybody.
- 15:50Tony D.: You're good, Take the money, Move to everybody, Because everybody swears that men need it.
- 15:56Tony D.: And I literally walked in there with Timberland boots on and she was already nervous.
- 16:00Tony D.: Those guys got bad feet.
- 16:02Tony D.: Everybody knows they got calluses, all this craziness, corns or whatever.
- 16:05Tony D.: So my feet came out, my feet like.
- 16:07Tony D.: She was like I don't even need to do nothing.
- 16:09Tony D.: I said no, just check the edges.
- 16:10Tony D.: I'm going to try to shake my toenails a little bit better, make them more kind.
- 16:15Cynthia: So, tony, do you have daughters?
- 16:18Tony D.: No, you don't have daughters.
- 16:19Tony D.: I have a stepdaughter, but I don't have biological daughters.
- 16:23Cynthia: Okay.
- 16:23Cynthia: Well, you have a daughter, okay.
- 16:24Cynthia: So let's say um, let's say, your daughter was like three years old.
- 16:28Cynthia: Or you have a granddaughter who is like three, four years old.
- 16:32Cynthia: She wants to do play a tea party, or play with grandpa, or whatever.
- 16:36Cynthia: And let's say oh, grandpa, can I just paint your nails?
- 16:40Tony D.: That's different.
- 16:40Tony D.: I've got sisters.
- 16:41Tony D.: I actually understand that.
- 16:44Cynthia: So that was the difference of just painting them regularly.
- 16:46Cynthia: I'm not saying put like the whole trims and all that.
- 16:50Tony D.: I don't want to do anymore, okay.
- 16:55Cynthia: You know what I'm saying.
- 16:57Carmen Lezeth: It's just a hard, you know, for me to hear.
- 17:00Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm just gonna tell you the truth.
- 17:02Carmen Lezeth: I feel like it's hard for me to hear, especially with Rick.
- 17:05Carmen Lezeth: I expect it from Tony, but Rick I'm surprised by, but you know, this kind of archaic I'm gonna say archaic thinking that it's not even painting nails, you're talking about just going to a manicure, pedicure, like as if that's a big deal, like taking care of yourself would be a bad thing.
- 17:23Tony D.: The difference was you said paint my nails.
- 17:25Tony D.: You didn't say manicure, pedicure.
- 17:26Tony D.: I've actually done that.
- 17:27Carmen Lezeth: You went down manicure pedicure and said you know he did it.
- 17:30Carmen Lezeth: And I had to prove it and I said just do it, I take the money.
- 17:32Carmen Lezeth: I'm like dude, it's just pampering yourself.
- 17:34Tony D.: I worked and she went.
- 17:35Tony D.: She looked at my nails.
- 17:36Tony D.: She asked you to shake them, and that's all they had to do.
- 17:38Tony D.: All they had to do was shake my nails.
- 17:40Tony D.: They didn't have to.
- 17:41Carmen Lezeth: I'm trying to figure out where Tony has this idea of like the diamonds and rhinestones.
- 17:47Tony D.: You see, you're hanging out with Cardi B?
- 17:50Carmen Lezeth: are you hanging out with Lizzo and Cardi B?
- 17:53Rick Costa: I couldn't.
- 17:54Rick Costa: I don't understand the people that have nails like out to here like they're claws.
- 17:58Rick Costa: How do you grab anything?
- 18:00Rick Costa: I'm like mm.
- 18:01Tony D.: I knew a woman like that and we worked at the dog track.
- 18:03Tony D.: We used to take the tickets.
- 18:04Tony D.: She had those long nails that were curing.
- 18:06Tony D.: She would still take the tickets.
- 18:06Tony D.: She used the fingertips.
- 18:07Tony D.: Get a hold of them up like that.
- 18:09Tony D.: I would like this.
- 18:10Tony D.: She was gorgeous.
- 18:14Carmen Lezeth: I think it's kind of sexy to see a guy paint his nails.
- 18:16Carmen Lezeth: I'm totally into it, I'm all right with it.
- 18:18Carmen Lezeth: It just means he takes care of himself and it's a different way to express himself.
- 18:21Carmen Lezeth: It doesn't bother me.
- 18:23Carmen Lezeth: I also, like there's a guy on I don't know it's a new shit, it's MSNBC or whatever and I'm positive that he's gay because he talks about his husband all the time, whatever, but he wears a pearl necklace.
- 18:34Carmen Lezeth: That's a pretty good clue.
- 18:35Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 18:35Carmen Lezeth: That's a pretty good clue.
- 18:36Carmen Lezeth: That's a pretty good clue.
- 18:38Carmen Lezeth: Well, the reason why I'm saying this is because I know, like the Harry Styles wears a pearl necklace around and I'm like that looks so sexy to me because it's such a weird, like it's messing with the stereotype of what pearls, like I've always hated pearls, right, cause you're reminds me of, like the 1950s leave it to beaver white women with the bouffant hairdo, with the pearls.
- 19:01Carmen Lezeth: And then there's like a man who's gay, who's wearing you know, as his nails painted, whatever, and it's just like a weird twist on it and I love it.
- 19:09Cynthia: You know, I don't think every man could wear pull off pearls, no or they hit.
- 19:15Carmen Lezeth: No, absolutely not.
- 19:16Carmen Lezeth: You've got to be a.
- 19:18Carmen Lezeth: You know what it is.
- 19:19Carmen Lezeth: It reminds me of when men would not wear a pink shirt.
- 19:23Carmen Lezeth: Some men cannot pull that off, but the men who can?
- 19:27Carmen Lezeth: I think you have to be, and I'm gonna say this you have to be like a real man to be able to pull off some of this shit.
- 19:33Tony D.: You can pull all of it off.
- 19:34Tony D.: Just the matter of women that you want to.
- 19:36Tony D.: We can all pull all of it off.
- 19:38Carmen Lezeth: No, you can't cause, you resisted.
- 19:40Tony D.: I don't want to.
- 19:41Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I know that's what I'm saying, so you can't pull it off I could walk around here.
- 19:45Carmen Lezeth: Doing it is not pulling it off.
- 19:47Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm.
- 19:47Carmen Lezeth: Look, it's kind of like the same thing with me.
- 19:49Carmen Lezeth: You know we all have these things.
- 19:50Carmen Lezeth: It's a style thing, it's a fashion thing, like, no matter what, I'm not gonna be able to walk around with a bustier with my boobs hanging out like this, cause it's not me.
- 20:00Carmen Lezeth: I could do it, I got the cleavage to do it.
- 20:03Carmen Lezeth: It's just not my style.
- 20:04Carmen Lezeth: I didn't know that.
- 20:05Carmen Lezeth: Do you know what I'm saying?
- 20:06Carmen Lezeth: I didn't know that.
- 20:07Carmen Lezeth: Of course you knew that.
- 20:11Tony D.: No, no you always wear.
- 20:12Tony D.: You always wear clothes.
- 20:13Tony D.: There's no way for me to know anything about your shape, because you never show anything revealed.
- 20:16Tony D.: You don't.
- 20:17Carmen Lezeth: I haven't checked out my website, so I don't know what to talk about.
- 20:21Tony D.: I mean, I don't.
- 20:22Tony D.: I read stuff and I'm not staring, I just don't A lot of people do that.
- 20:25Carmen Lezeth: Another pictures there's pictures on my website karmaswarscom.
- 20:28Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying.
- 20:30Rick Costa: He's going right now.
- 20:31Rick Costa: Lord I'm mercy.
- 20:33Carmen Lezeth: Hold that hard, or all of my.
- 20:35Carmen Lezeth: I mean I've done TikToks and I'm not Instagram, but I mean I'm just saying there's pictures on my Instagram, anyway, it doesn't.
- 20:42Carmen Lezeth: Oh, he's looking at them now.
- 20:44Carmen Lezeth: He's looking at them now.
- 20:45Carmen Lezeth: My point is this is it's not like I could never pull off Okay, rick, I could never pull off a certain like Cynthia, have you?
- 20:56Tony D.: ever seen me.
- 20:57Tony D.: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's kind of insurable.
- 20:58Tony D.: I caught on by what?
- 21:01TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: What did he just say?
- 21:02Rick Costa: I caught on by.
- 21:05Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, that's the first time you've seen my website.
- 21:08Carmen Lezeth: Are you kidding me?
- 21:09Tony D.: I haven't gone through the gallery.
- 21:11Tony D.: What I did do was go through so much.
- 21:12Cynthia: I haven't gone through the gallery.
- 21:14Tony D.: I didn't go through the gallery.
- 21:15Tony D.: I read the blogs A lot of times.
- 21:17Tony D.: We do articles and stuff, and even when I look at some of the old broadcasts and do I listen to this like I do my own.
- 21:22Carmen Lezeth: No, no, I'm just, it's fine, but my point it wasn't for you to go look at my website.
- 21:26Carmen Lezeth: But my point is is Cynthia, have you ever seen me in a flower dress?
- 21:30Carmen Lezeth: Oh God no, like if I were Laysen, I would.
- 21:34Carmen Lezeth: You would be like Carmen looks so uncomfortable.
- 21:37Carmen Lezeth: It's just not me.
- 21:38Carmen Lezeth: So when I say that no, you couldn't just put on a pink shirt and do your nails and pull it off?
- 21:44Carmen Lezeth: Probably not, because it's not just style, it's not who you is.
- 21:48Tony D.: It just threw me off, not me.
- 21:50Carmen Lezeth: Look at your face, like I mean, if somebody wanted to pay me $100 to wear a flowery dress or bustier, I'll do it.
- 21:57Carmen Lezeth: So if you guys want to give me a hundred bucks, I'll do it, like totally in.
- 22:04Tony D.: She keep opening these doors.
- 22:06Tony D.: I'm sitting here trying to make money.
- 22:08Rick Costa: I'm fine with that.
- 22:09Rick Costa: No, that's so funny.
- 22:10Rick Costa: When I was in the choir or church, sometimes they'd have special things and then they want everybody to wear the same color, basically, and then one year they picked pink.
- 22:19Rick Costa: I was like ugh, exactly.
- 22:22Carmen Lezeth: All right, look how beautiful and on your skin color it would look so good.
- 22:27Carmen Lezeth: Pink doesn't look good on white people.
- 22:29Carmen Lezeth: That's the irony.
- 22:30Carmen Lezeth: I don't mean to be rude Not all white people but like pale, pale doesn't look good, you know.
- 22:36Carmen Lezeth: But I was surprised to see a woman, like Irish woman, with red, red hair, wearing a red shirt and she looked fabulous.
- 22:44Carmen Lezeth: Like I would have been like ooh, someone with red hair cannot wear a red shirt, but I was totally See.
- 22:50Carmen Lezeth: You got to be able to pull it off.
- 22:51Tony D.: You know what I mean it's the same to me, the red hair.
- 22:54Tony D.: I think you're right If Irish women with red hair.
- 22:58Tony D.: That's why that movie was doing so good.
- 23:01Tony D.: What's the name of that movie?
- 23:03Tony D.: The Disney movie, oh?
- 23:05Cynthia: Brave.
- 23:06Tony D.: Yeah.
- 23:07Carmen Lezeth: What is it Brave?
- 23:08Carmen Lezeth: You get something in those every.
- 23:11Rick Costa: Yeah, anything about Disney she knows.
- 23:13Carmen Lezeth: Disney, she is the Disney.
- 23:15Tony D.: You can talk Marvel with her.
- 23:18Carmen Lezeth: She's got a Marvel person, though, right, you're not.
- 23:20Cynthia: You know it, I'm not.
- 23:22Carmen Lezeth: I am a little bit who's your favorite Marvel character.
- 23:26Rick Costa: And Disney owns Marvel, by the way.
- 23:27Rick Costa: Just yeah, I know.
- 23:28Carmen Lezeth: But that's not what she's talking about when she's talking about Disney.
- 23:31Carmen Lezeth: That's why I'm Disney.
- 23:33Carmen Lezeth: Just bought Marvel, by the way.
- 23:34Carmen Lezeth: Ok, so who's your favorite Marvel character, cynthia, and what's his mother's name?
- 23:42Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding.
- 23:42Carmen Lezeth: Well for her.
- 23:43Carmen Lezeth: I'm testing her.
- 23:44Carmen Lezeth: Who's your favorite Marvel character?
- 23:47Carmen Lezeth: See, that's too long.
- 23:52Tony D.: What's your favorite?
- 23:52Carmen Lezeth: Disney character.
- 23:54Tony D.: There's a bunch of characters.
- 23:55Tony D.: What's your?
- 23:56Carmen Lezeth: favorite Disney character?
- 23:58Carmen Lezeth: See See, I'm just saying she had to think about Marvel.
- 24:02Carmen Lezeth: Rick, what's your favorite Marvel character?
- 24:06Rick Costa: I like characters that have a lot ofator conflicts.
- 24:08Carmen Lezeth: I said which one is your favorite Marvel character.
- 24:12Rick Costa: I'm trying to explain my reasons why I like it Wolverine.
- 24:15Rick Costa: Wolverine OK, Because he wants to be good, but he also has a nature that he has to constantly fight.
- 24:21Rick Costa: I like characters like that.
- 24:23Carmen Lezeth: OK, let's talk about Wolverine for a moment, since we're talking about men Now.
- 24:27Carmen Lezeth: He just got divorced from his lovely wife that he's been married to since he was in high school, did you guys?
- 24:32Rick Costa: know that.
- 24:32Tony D.: You judge them, you judge them.
- 24:34Carmen Lezeth: You both don't know that, I didn't know that.
- 24:37Carmen Lezeth: Ok, wait.
- 24:38Carmen Lezeth: And the best part of it, he just got divorced too.
- 24:40Carmen Lezeth: Ok, wait, wait, wait.
- 24:41Cynthia: What did you say, Cynthia?
- 24:43Carmen Lezeth: They just got divorced like two months ago Just got divorced and she signed a nondisclosure agreement for like $100 million so that she will not talk about anything about their marriage or him.
- 24:59Carmen Lezeth: I forget what the amount was.
- 25:00Carmen Lezeth: So everybody is speculating about Wolverine, and everyone's been speculating about him for a long time, but he hasn't come out to say anything.
- 25:10Carmen Lezeth: But he is writing a book Speculating about what, really?
- 25:15Carmen Lezeth: Yes, cynthia, do you know what I mean by what they're speculating about?
- 25:19Carmen Lezeth: Do you guys have any idea.
- 25:21Tony D.: I mean, is he gay?
- 25:21Tony D.: Is he child trafficking?
- 25:22Tony D.: They?
- 25:22Carmen Lezeth: think that he's gay.
- 25:23Carmen Lezeth: No child trafficking.
- 25:26Carmen Lezeth: Fucking Trump, that's the biggest thing that I do.
- 25:28Rick Costa: No, Tony got a list of this I like going on the Trump list of crap.
- 25:34Carmen Lezeth: No, they think that he's gay.
- 25:35Carmen Lezeth: Everyone thinks that he's probably gay.
- 25:38Rick Costa: Why?
- 25:38Tony D.: Just because he does plays and like dance as well, and I haven't seen him do anything along the lines for me to think that that's why I was shocked.
- 25:47Tony D.: Some people, you can tell.
- 25:49Carmen Lezeth: Wait, wait, wait.
- 25:49Carmen Lezeth: I didn't say he is.
- 25:51Carmen Lezeth: I said that's what everyone is speculating about.
- 25:54Carmen Lezeth: And then, ricky, you said why?
- 25:56Carmen Lezeth: Because he does plays and sings on Broadway and dances.
- 26:00Carmen Lezeth: Yes, that's exactly why.
- 26:02Carmen Lezeth: Because we have stereotypes like painting our nails or wearing pink.
- 26:07Carmen Lezeth: We have stereotypes in our heads of what we think a real man is.
- 26:11Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 26:13Tony D.: Being indoctrinated in those ways would be more, I think, of what you're saying.
- 26:16Tony D.: You're correct with that.
- 26:17Tony D.: We have been indoctrinated in those ways.
- 26:20Carmen Lezeth: And it's wrong.
- 26:21Carmen Lezeth: I mean, if he did come out, I mean I don't care, the man is fine, it's not like if he's straight or gay, like I got a shot anyway.
- 26:29Carmen Lezeth: He's so excited.
- 26:30Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying he people, who he is.
- 26:33Carmen Lezeth: But I mean if he did come out, or whatever, I think it would be such a huge amazing thing for men everywhere, because there is no other man who is manlier than him.
- 26:45Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 26:46Carmen Lezeth: Like he's.
- 26:46Carmen Lezeth: But it's been speculated for a long time.
- 26:50Carmen Lezeth: And then this divorce thing which really came out of the blue.
- 26:52Carmen Lezeth: It really came out of the blue.
- 26:55Carmen Lezeth: People were like what?
- 26:56Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, the worst twist of it was that she signed a non-disclose, which is a weird thing for everyone to also announce about.
- 27:08Carmen Lezeth: But he's writing a book and you know I'm older than him too.
- 27:12Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, by like 10 years or something.
- 27:13Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, they were so happy.
- 27:16Rick Costa: She can't say anything, but he can.
- 27:20Carmen Lezeth: I think it's because they made an agreement.
- 27:22Carmen Lezeth: I think they really love each other.
- 27:23Carmen Lezeth: I said I don't know them, I'm just going to be, I don't know anybody who knows them.
- 27:27Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean Like.
- 27:27Carmen Lezeth: So I'm not talking from anywhere except speculation, but I think they really love each other.
- 27:33Carmen Lezeth: I don't think it's, you know.
- 27:34Carmen Lezeth: I think that they look at Tony.
- 27:38Tony D.: This is giving my show.
- 27:39Tony D.: I was thinking about the whole scenario.
- 27:41Tony D.: Something makes sense.
- 27:42Tony D.: Go ahead, please.
- 27:42Tony D.: I'm sorry.
- 27:44Cynthia: Oh.
- 27:45Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying.
- 27:46Carmen Lezeth: I think that you know he's coming out with a book I don't know when, but he's writing a book and that book's going to be a big deal.
- 27:53Carmen Lezeth: So if she started talking about their marriage, regardless of what the you know the stuff is or whatever, it would ruin sales of the book because all the gossipy stuff.
- 28:02Carmen Lezeth: So I think in a business way, that was also a smart thing to do for him so that he could write when he was playing.
- 28:07Tony D.: Absolutely, and that's what hit me in the head Business wise, absolutely, that's what hit me.
- 28:11Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, and $100 million to him or whatever it is.
- 28:14Carmen Lezeth: It was a ridiculous amount, but I don't remember how much it was.
- 28:17Carmen Lezeth: And, look at it again, it's not like I spoke to him or her.
- 28:20Carmen Lezeth: This is all through the stupid little gossipy things but it hit hard here in Hollywood when that happened, because people are like, oh, yeah, you saw all these really what, and we saw what happened with Jada Pinker Smith's book.
- 28:33Carmen Lezeth: That's not on the same level, is it?
- 28:37Rick Costa: I'm just saying, like you know, she had just had a blab.
- 28:40Rick Costa: Yes, he is, they are that.
- 28:42Carmen Lezeth: But did it.
- 28:43Carmen Lezeth: Was it a best seller, though, that people buy it?
- 28:47Tony D.: Not that I know of no.
- 28:49Carmen Lezeth: I know I didn't buy it.
- 28:50Carmen Lezeth: Look, Cynthia is reading it right now.
- 28:52Cynthia: She's reading it right now.
- 28:55Carmen Lezeth: Do we still hate Jada Pinker Smith?
- 28:59Tony D.: Let's get controversial, shall we?
- 29:02Carmen Lezeth: Do we hate her?
- 29:02Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 29:03Tony D.: I never hated her.
- 29:04Tony D.: I had a problem with her putting the family business out there.
- 29:07Tony D.: Something caught my attention about two weeks ago about something she said when the interview she did with Will with the Red Table Talk she spoke on.
- 29:16Tony D.: She felt the need and she wanted to help somebody and be there for somebody.
- 29:20Tony D.: When she got with August Alcina, I think she said something that a lot of women feel and I've heard it more than once.
- 29:26Tony D.: There's a time when a woman feels that she needs to be there for somebody, do something with somebody, especially when her significant other isn't around and the kids are all grown.
- 29:34Tony D.: Certain women start searching for somebody else to be there for and it hit me at my own light she put this out before this was really starting to happen.
- 29:43Tony D.: I started seeing more and more stories of women saying that, hearing more and more women say that they just need to be there for somebody.
- 29:50Carmen Lezeth: I don't know who these women are that you talked to.
- 29:52Tony D.: I swear to God I don't know nobody, I know, I don't know nobody, you know, I know.
- 29:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying you have some really drama-esque women in your life.
- 29:59Carmen Lezeth: I just want to throw that out there.
- 30:00Carmen Lezeth: I'm thinking in my head do I know any women sitting in you?
- 30:05Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, do I know any?
- 30:08Tony D.: I'm just thinking about it.
- 30:09Tony D.: Take one aspect of that.
- 30:10Tony D.: Other than that, I did see her stand up for him recently.
- 30:13Tony D.: I think those most recent allegations of somebody saying him and Duane Martin got together.
- 30:18Tony D.: She was at an interview.
- 30:19Tony D.: She was at an interview with him and Duane Martin.
- 30:23Carmen Lezeth: Wait that Will Smith and Dwayne Martin yes there was room about that.
- 30:27Tony D.: There was room about that, yes.
- 30:29Carmen Lezeth: So now Will Smith and Hugh Jackman are gay.
- 30:32Carmen Lezeth: What do?
- 30:32Tony D.: you mean now?
- 30:33Tony D.: They've been saying Will's gay for 20 years.
- 30:36Carmen Lezeth: Really, really.
- 30:38Tony D.: You're in Hollywood.
- 30:38Tony D.: How you don't know this?
- 30:39Carmen Lezeth: Because I don't really pay attention to gossip.
- 30:41Carmen Lezeth: The Hugh Jackman thing was big, that was huge, but Will Smith is kind of-.
- 30:45Tony D.: They've been talking about Will being that way since Six Degrees of Separation, which a lot of people brushed it off because of the movie.
- 30:50Tony D.: We got that, but then when he did Aladdin they started coming out more.
- 30:55Carmen Lezeth: Because he did Aladdin.
- 30:57Tony D.: Yeah, because he dressed like a woman in the movie.
- 30:59Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, you cannot be this archaic of a thinking man.
- 31:04Carmen Lezeth: It's a clear and clear.
- 31:05Tony D.: I'm telling you what they said.
- 31:06Tony D.: I didn't say, I didn't who's?
- 31:07Carmen Lezeth: they, who are these day people?
- 31:09Tony D.: You're in Hollywood.
- 31:09Tony D.: How you don't know them?
- 31:10Carmen Lezeth: Because I'm telling you that's all bullshit.
- 31:12Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm trying to do.
- 31:13Carmen Lezeth: You live in the world and not see people.
- 31:15Tony D.: That's exactly what Jada Pinkers is so.
- 31:17Carmen Lezeth: Jada's people told you and your friends.
- 31:20Tony D.: I think it said it herself that all of these rumors were lies.
- 31:23Tony D.: She said that I forgot.
- 31:24Tony D.: I don't know if they're lying, I'm not talking about Jada.
- 31:27Carmen Lezeth: I'm not talking about Jada.
- 31:27Carmen Lezeth: You said he was wearing an Aladdin costume and that's why you thought he was there when he was in the movie Aladdin.
- 31:34Tony D.: The first set of rumors that came out of Baham was at the Six Degrees of Separation.
- 31:37Tony D.: The second set came out for real, for real, after the movie Aladdin.
- 31:40Tony D.: When he was in there he did that one scene.
- 31:42Tony D.: When he was dancing he dressed like a one foot.
- 31:44Tony D.: No, excuse me, I'm sorry.
- 31:45Tony D.: Wild Wild West, wild Wild West.
- 31:47Tony D.: When he did that Wild Wild West.
- 31:49Carmen Lezeth: So if a, ok, I just want you to hear how it sounds from my point of view.
- 31:53Carmen Lezeth: Sure, I want you to be brilliant, and right now you sound as silly.
- 31:57Carmen Lezeth: Ok, when you are a character in a film, you play the character, and if you do it well, people believe you.
- 32:09Tony D.: I didn't say I believed that.
- 32:10Tony D.: I said this is what I'm seeing and hearing.
- 32:12Carmen Lezeth: OK, wait, Cynthia and Rick, have you guys heard that Will Smith might have relations with other men?
- 32:17Carmen Lezeth: I did hear that?
- 32:19Cynthia: I did hear that, but hold on, but hold on.
- 32:24Cynthia: But can we think back to a movie called Two Wong Fu, where Patrick Swayze Westing's wife and John Link was almost all dressed as drag queens.
- 32:33Cynthia: You didn't hear anything about them Nothing 100%, I agree.
- 32:37Cynthia: Nothing about them, nothing being gay or anything like that and they were in full drag and they were amazing.
- 32:43Tony D.: That was a fun movie.
- 32:44Tony D.: It was a great movie.
- 32:45Tony D.: That was a great movie.
- 32:46Tony D.: They were outstanding.
- 32:47Carmen Lezeth: I love Patrick Swayze.
- 32:48Carmen Lezeth: That's the second time this week we're talking about him.
- 32:51Carmen Lezeth: There's something happening.
- 32:52Carmen Lezeth: I love him.
- 32:52Carmen Lezeth: Is his birthday coming up?
- 32:54Carmen Lezeth: I don't think so he's just a great dancer.
- 32:56Carmen Lezeth: I loved him so much.
- 32:57Carmen Lezeth: I mean, he's a great actor, but wait.
- 32:59Carmen Lezeth: So here's my question.
- 33:00Carmen Lezeth: So is your point, cynthia, that the reason why the rumors came out because of Will is because there might be some substance there?
- 33:06Carmen Lezeth: Is that what you're saying?
- 33:07Carmen Lezeth: It could be.
- 33:08Carmen Lezeth: It doesn't have to do with the movie.
- 33:09Carmen Lezeth: It has everything I do.
- 33:10Carmen Lezeth: I think there are some substance there, right, yeah?
- 33:14Tony D.: I don't like how they're doing.
- 33:15Tony D.: A lot of men trying to call them out there all the time.
- 33:17Tony D.: They're doing it a lot.
- 33:18Carmen Lezeth: Wait, wait, wait.
- 33:19Carmen Lezeth: Say what you just said.
- 33:20Carmen Lezeth: Ok, is it OK?
- 33:21Carmen Lezeth: Someone just tell me this Is it just me that I can't hear him clearly?
- 33:25Carmen Lezeth: I can hear you guys clearly.
- 33:27Carmen Lezeth: I cannot hear him clearly.
- 33:29Cynthia: His voice goes in and out sometimes, because I think it's when you sit back and you get away from the mic.
- 33:35Carmen Lezeth: Is that your birthday, tony?
- 33:36Carmen Lezeth: Oh, thanksgiving, I'm going to buy you a Valentine's gift.
- 33:40Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to buy you a damn mic.
- 33:42Carmen Lezeth: It's an interesting conversation, but here's what happens Is then you have to like wait, huh, what?
- 33:49Carmen Lezeth: Huh, I can't hear you that.
- 33:53Carmen Lezeth: Well, what kind of computer do you have?
- 33:55Carmen Lezeth: Are you a Mac person or a what?
- 33:59Rick Costa: Yes, he said.
- 34:00Rick Costa: Yes, I'm whispering on purpose.
- 34:02Tony D.: I'm sorry.
- 34:06Carmen Lezeth: Lord, I'm going to get you a mic.
- 34:09Rick Costa: Part of me also says OK, let's suppose any of that is true.
- 34:13Rick Costa: Who cares?
- 34:14Rick Costa: Why is this news?
- 34:15Rick Costa: I don't.
- 34:16Carmen Lezeth: Well, we're talking about it because our cake idea I care, because you guys have our cake ideas of what?
- 34:23Tony D.: Is this better?
- 34:24Carmen Lezeth: Painting your nails means.
- 34:26Tony D.: Is this better?
- 34:29Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 34:29Carmen Lezeth: We have to be in conversation.
- 34:31Carmen Lezeth: Hello, I'm annoyed with you now you stay annoyed with me.
- 34:34Carmen Lezeth: I don't think it's better.
- 34:35Rick Costa: It sounds the same, you sure it's working.
- 34:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't think it's in.
- 34:38Carmen Lezeth: It sounds exactly the same.
- 34:40Rick Costa: How about now Same?
- 34:41Rick Costa: It sounds the same to me.
- 34:43Rick Costa: What's that other noise?
- 34:44Rick Costa: That's my vibe.
- 34:45Tony D.: Where's?
- 34:46Carmen Lezeth: my, I should fall.
- 34:47Carmen Lezeth: Turn off your vibration.
- 34:48Carmen Lezeth: You busy.
- 34:49Carmen Lezeth: You got to take your call.
- 34:50Carmen Lezeth: You realize that the lounge was all about beating up Tony D.
- 34:58Tony D.: I fight back.
- 35:01Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying, you didn't realize it.
- 35:03Carmen Lezeth: That's why we set this all up.
- 35:04Carmen Lezeth: We've been planning it for weeks and I just pretended I was like all the time today.
- 35:12Tony D.: Got it yes.
- 35:13Carmen Lezeth: OK, so what else were we talking about yesterday?
- 35:15Carmen Lezeth: I don't want to talk about religion, because that's going to get on my nerves.
- 35:19Tony D.: We can.
- 35:19Carmen Lezeth: No, we talked about it last night.
- 35:20Carmen Lezeth: It was really good.
- 35:21Carmen Lezeth: We were having a great conversation Not on the live stream, but here.
- 35:24Carmen Lezeth: But I'm going to need to go through it again Because if you try to manufacture it, it's going to come off as well.
- 35:31Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 35:32Carmen Lezeth: You've got to have a regular flow.
- 35:36Tony D.: Can I ask you how it came about?
- 35:38Carmen Lezeth: How what?
- 35:38Tony D.: came about the show, the conversation about religion itself.
- 35:42Carmen Lezeth: Because Rick was over there talking about Jesus.
- 35:44Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding.
- 35:46Rick Costa: No, I think, because I started talking about Because you had said something about the what do you call it?
- 35:52Rick Costa: Elevator pitch, and I was saying that I was saying the same thing I'm also saying.
- 35:58Rick Costa: So how would you guys describe what I do, different from everybody else that does similar things?
- 36:03Rick Costa: And then that's how we got started talking about that Right, because we're trying.
- 36:07Carmen Lezeth: OK, so you talked about monetization, so Rick is also trying to.
- 36:11Carmen Lezeth: I don't know, what are you trying to do?
- 36:14Carmen Lezeth: You're trying to hone your program and maybe market it in a different way.
- 36:18Carmen Lezeth: Is that what you were trying to do, rick?
- 36:22Rick Costa: I just let's put it this way Periscope, it was a lot of people.
- 36:28Carmen Lezeth: You need to let go of that.
- 36:29Carmen Lezeth: You.
- 36:29Carmen Lezeth: You've done that so much that it's the reason why you're failing now.
- 36:33Rick Costa: Right and now it's like I love the people that I have.
- 36:36Rick Costa: Don't get me wrong, I love them to death, but it's the same people I'm like why can't I be Carmen?
- 36:42Tony D.: excuse me, a second Rick.
- 36:43Tony D.: Then I said it two years ago about my stuff.
- 36:47Carmen Lezeth: What did you say two years ago?
- 36:50Tony D.: I love my audience, but everybody was telling me I need to do something else.
- 36:53Tony D.: It's the same case.
- 36:56Carmen Lezeth: You don't know what periscope is, because they talk about it all the time.
- 37:00Tony D.: I don't.
- 37:03Carmen Lezeth: They were on Periscope, it was part of Twitter and it was like a live streaming thing, like we do on Thursdays, but they was doing it all the time and they had thousands and thousands of followers and they all made a lot of them.
- 37:13Tony D.: They had thousands, of thousands.
- 37:14Tony D.: Yes, they did.
- 37:15Carmen Lezeth: And so you know I hate to say this.
- 37:17Carmen Lezeth: It's like, but here's the thing when I was on Hapso so Periscope closed down and then they all moved over to Haps and, for whatever reason, trying to find the blessings in it, I found my way to Haps over the COVID period.
- 37:32Carmen Lezeth: I don't know how I did it, but I ended up.
- 37:35Tony D.: Somebody recommended it to you.
- 37:36Tony D.: Oh, that's right.
- 37:37Tony D.: That's right.
- 37:38Tony D.: One of my friends on Twitter, that's right.
- 37:40Carmen Lezeth: He broadcasts sunsets over there, anyway.
- 37:42Carmen Lezeth: So I went to Haps and I was there, I think.
- 37:46Tony D.: I wasn't even in the one Two to three months max.
- 37:48Carmen Lezeth: What, how long?
- 37:49Tony D.: Two to three months max.
- 37:52Carmen Lezeth: Maybe six months.
- 37:53Carmen Lezeth: I think it was, because that was in the beginning.
- 37:54Carmen Lezeth: It might have been six months.
- 37:55Carmen Lezeth: The toxicity it's in there.
- 37:59Carmen Lezeth: I will not tell you.
- 38:00Carmen Lezeth: And wait, here's the best part.
- 38:03Carmen Lezeth: All they talked about was how bad Periscope was, and now that they're both gone, all they talked about is oh Haps, oh Periscope.
- 38:12Carmen Lezeth: But the toxicity level people were on there, I don't know what it is.
- 38:20Carmen Lezeth: I think it's something you said earlier, tony, that COVID did give people some license and on Haps, I don't know about Periscope, but on Haps people also didn't have to show their face.
- 38:36Carmen Lezeth: So they didn't have to show their face.
- 38:37Carmen Lezeth: So then they would get on and be really nasty to people and people would be like I don't know, they would have emojis or whatever, but so it'd be like pulsating, but these were regular people.
- 38:50Carmen Lezeth: All the time.
- 38:51Carmen Lezeth: They would be so mean to each other.
- 38:54Carmen Lezeth: It was just crazy and I was there.
- 38:58Carmen Lezeth: I think it was six months.
- 39:00Tony D.: I don't remember you being there for six, or maybe being there for maybe three months, rick, how long was I there?
- 39:03Rick Costa: Maybe I don't know Well, you weren't as active as everybody else, so that's why he doesn't remember.
- 39:08Carmen Lezeth: I was there one.
- 39:10Rick Costa: I do remember.
- 39:12Cynthia: I do remember Carmen kept telling me oh, you should get on.
- 39:14Cynthia: Haps.
- 39:14Cynthia: It's his new program and I was like what the hell is that?
- 39:18Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I've never gone on it, I'm proud of you Don't listen to me about that shit ever again, you dodged a bullet, cynthia.
- 39:23Tony D.: You two are broadcasting, but you were still around.
- 39:25Tony D.: I do remember that.
- 39:26Tony D.: Now, this is the thing I do want to say this periscope you didn't have to show your face.
- 39:30Tony D.: You could, but it was not required and a lot of people got away with not showing their face, not giving their real name and talking a whole bunch of crap.
- 39:38Tony D.: And we got to Haps Because I was on periscope but I wasn't around any of them.
- 39:42Tony D.: The people that brought me to Haps were the only two people I was around on periscope and a couple of folks saw me when I was on that broadcast and I was like no, we got to Haps and it was video conferencing.
- 39:52Tony D.: There was difference between audio chat and video conferencing.
- 39:56Tony D.: With these apps, I always prefer the video conferencing because you really show your face Right.
- 40:00Tony D.: So these folks are still scared to show their face and I promise you I'm going to say this.
- 40:03Tony D.: I keep telling them and nobody believes me.
- 40:04Tony D.: I don't even care no more, because everybody tells me to get over Haps.
- 40:07Tony D.: These jokers won't get over periscope.
- 40:08Tony D.: I refuse to get over Haps as long as they don't get over periscope and periscope shut down before Haps did.
- 40:13Carmen Lezeth: They all need to get over all of it and move the fuck out.
- 40:16Tony D.: We are moving out.
- 40:17Tony D.: Here's the crazy part, Carmen Haps was not great.
- 40:19Carmen Lezeth: I know you think it was, but it was not great For what I'm doing now.
- 40:23Carmen Lezeth: I started all of it there, I know but what I'm saying is I mean, look, it's like anything else.
- 40:29Carmen Lezeth: When a baby is born and then it turns on its belly and starts to crawl, we're all like, oh my god, you can crawl, but at some point it needs to walk.
- 40:38Carmen Lezeth: We don't keep herming.
- 40:39Carmen Lezeth: I'm like.
- 40:40Carmen Lezeth: Remember, though, how great that crawl was.
- 40:42Carmen Lezeth: The crawl was amazing.
- 40:43Carmen Lezeth: No, you move the fuck on.
- 40:45Carmen Lezeth: You guys are so obsessed.
- 40:48Tony D.: Yeah, I am, and I had a ball.
- 40:50Carmen Lezeth: But here's, but you know what.
- 40:52Carmen Lezeth: So funny, tony, you're remembering what you want to remember, because all you did was complain all the time.
- 41:00Tony D.: I did not complain about Haps.
- 41:01Tony D.: No, I didn't.
- 41:02Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god.
- 41:03Tony D.: I will give you $100 if you find me complaining about Haps.
- 41:06Tony D.: Oh my god, I will give you $100 if you find me complaining about Haps OK.
- 41:11Carmen Lezeth: OK, you want to have to go for $100.
- 41:14Rick Costa: On complaining on Haps or complaining about Haps?
- 41:16Rick Costa: Which one or both?
- 41:17Rick Costa: Which is it, carmen?
- 41:18Carmen Lezeth: and Haps.
- 41:19Carmen Lezeth: Complaining about Haps.
- 41:20Tony D.: You're going to complain about Haps all the time.
- 41:22Tony D.: We'll be honest.
- 41:23Tony D.: When did I complain about Haps?
- 41:25Carmen Lezeth: You complained about people on Haps, that's the difference.
- 41:28Tony D.: That's the difference.
- 41:29Tony D.: Ok, so you want to be $100, right, Because you want to be no no, no, oh wait, that's what I'm saying.
- 41:34Carmen Lezeth: You complained all the time.
- 41:36Tony D.: Now we're in the lounge.
- 41:37Tony D.: Ok, I didn't complain.
- 41:38Tony D.: I didn't complain about the platform.
- 41:41Tony D.: Complain about the people and the platform.
- 41:43Tony D.: You owe me $100.
- 41:44Carmen Lezeth: I don't owe doubt.
- 41:45Carmen Lezeth: You owe me $100.
- 41:47Carmen Lezeth: What I want you to do with that $100 is buy yourself a mother phone.
- 41:49Tony D.: Microphone.
- 41:50Tony D.: I'm all one.
- 41:51Tony D.: Now I might check one too.
- 41:54Carmen Lezeth: No, that's not doing nothing.
- 41:56Rick Costa: These are good, but they're pretty cheap.
- 41:58Carmen Lezeth: They're pretty cheap.
- 41:59Carmen Lezeth: They're like $50.
- 42:00Carmen Lezeth: Great, I'm going to show you that again.
- 42:03Tony D.: I'll pick on you later.
- 42:04Tony D.: Yeah, I was like yeah.
- 42:05Carmen Lezeth: Right, they're like $50.
- 42:07Tony D.: I never really complained about the platform.
- 42:08Tony D.: I complained about what the people did.
- 42:10Tony D.: But what the people doing, what the platform is, are two different things.
- 42:12Tony D.: I say the same thing on the other app that I'm on.
- 42:14Carmen Lezeth: I know, but then I was right.
- 42:15Tony D.: I'm just saying no no, because if I complained about the platform, this is what people did when they complained about the platform.
- 42:21Tony D.: They complained about what they couldn't do on it.
- 42:23Tony D.: They complained about how it was glitching.
- 42:25Carmen Lezeth: We're not talking about them.
- 42:26Carmen Lezeth: I'm talking about what I said, and you said.
- 42:28Tony D.: You said you complained about apps.
- 42:30Tony D.: I didn't complain about apps.
- 42:31Carmen Lezeth: That's what I meant, though you when you were saying both you and Rick OK, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, notice how Rick ain't fighting with me.
- 42:37Carmen Lezeth: But let me just say this Rick, don't let me fight with you the romanticize what's.
- 42:43Carmen Lezeth: How do you say?
- 42:43Rick Costa: romanticization.
- 42:45Rick Costa: You know what?
- 42:47Carmen Lezeth: I can't even say it.
- 42:48Carmen Lezeth: Ok, we got it.
- 42:49Carmen Lezeth: The way in which you guys look like rose-colored glasses back in the day of what?
- 42:55Tony D.: I'm sure my screen is not glitching when I say it's great.
- 42:58Carmen Lezeth: Why did it not?
- 42:59Carmen Lezeth: Last is my question.
- 43:01Tony D.: Periscope shut down, we're not sure why, and people were cursing it out just to get over it.
- 43:06Carmen Lezeth: It was I was there, the only good thing I hear about is that there were thousands of people on Rick's broadcast and he made a lot of money doing it.
- 43:13Carmen Lezeth: But I look at that.
- 43:14Carmen Lezeth: All I heard about is that there was so much toxicity on that.
- 43:17Tony D.: How many more apps, though.
- 43:18Tony D.: If you think, hansel, that Periscope is worse, I will tell you that.
- 43:22Carmen Lezeth: I know, I know this.
- 43:23Carmen Lezeth: You don't need to tell me, I've heard it so much.
- 43:26Carmen Lezeth: I know what I'm trying to say is.
- 43:29Carmen Lezeth: What I'm saying is move on, and that's what Rick is trying to do.
- 43:34Carmen Lezeth: Rick is trying to figure out a way to get an elevator pitch or like a couple of lines to talk about why his broadcast might be different, so that he can maybe pitch it differently, market it differently.
- 43:46Carmen Lezeth: You know, you don't need to raise your motherfucking hand in the lounge.
- 43:50Tony D.: Stand with folks, talk over each other.
- 43:51Tony D.: So I'm doing it to finish yourself.
- 43:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm taking you out the lounge, you're out on the bouncer too.
- 43:59Tony D.: I'm not going to have a bouncer OK.
- 44:01Cynthia: Oh, my God.
- 44:02Tony D.: You can lay down OK, you're good Long as you're full.
- 44:04Tony D.: You want to say hi to everybody.
- 44:05Carmen Lezeth: Hi, jason.
- 44:06Carmen Lezeth: He says hi, he doesn't want to be on camera.
- 44:08Carmen Lezeth: He can't hear me because you have on your headset.
- 44:10Tony D.: I told him you said hi.
- 44:11Tony D.: He said hi back.
- 44:12Tony D.: Did you hear him?
- 44:13Carmen Lezeth: I didn't hear what you just said.
- 44:14Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 44:16Tony D.: There's a red.
- 44:16Tony D.: I don't know what in the world I'm going to do with you.
- 44:23Carmen Lezeth: Did you hear what he said?
- 44:25Rick Costa: I heard the poem.
- 44:27Carmen Lezeth: I heard the poem, but what did he say about Jason he?
- 44:29Rick Costa: said that he told Jason that you said hi and that Jason said hi back.
- 44:34Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I didn't hear that at all, because somebody needs a new motherfucking mic.
- 44:37Carmen Lezeth: But it's just me, whatever.
- 44:40Tony D.: The only thing I think that may be going on and I got nothing against what you do.
- 44:43Tony D.: You know I pop in every now and then when I can.
- 44:45Tony D.: Society is going into our religious.
- 44:48Tony D.: That might be one of the problems.
- 44:52TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: OK, why.
- 44:53Tony D.: Honestly, honestly it's not.
- 44:56Carmen Lezeth: That's not the problem.
- 44:57Carmen Lezeth: They're not anti religious right now.
- 44:59Carmen Lezeth: That's not the problem.
- 45:00Carmen Lezeth: There's enough people who he could reach.
- 45:03Carmen Lezeth: I think what he's trying to do is.
- 45:04Carmen Lezeth: He's re analyzing and re thinking.
- 45:06Carmen Lezeth: Look, it is the same reason why I'm doing this, right?
- 45:09Carmen Lezeth: So Andrea and Cynthia and Rick all know that I'm trying to build a brand here, and so now I want to have like a private lab, because I think this conversation is much more fun without all the distractions or whatever, and this is what I've always wanted to do and unfortunately for me.
- 45:24Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I am going to keep the live stream going, because I think that's one too.
- 45:27Carmen Lezeth: I was listening to too many people I don't even respect who kept telling me like you got to have the, the, the live stream, and you have to talk to the audience and you have to do this, and I'm like it's not what I want to do, right?
- 45:41Carmen Lezeth: So the live stream is great and fun and we're going to keep doing it.
- 45:44Carmen Lezeth: But I've also added Carmen talk, which is just for my podcast listeners, which is just like Ted talk and it's just once a week and it's just under 20 minutes and it's just kind of more from my blog post.
- 45:55Carmen Lezeth: So that's something I'm doing so I can get my own voice out there on things I want to talk about.
- 45:59Carmen Lezeth: And now I think this kind of private lounge is going to add to the ability to not just do something for us to have a conversation, but also to turn around and have interviews with people who I can't tell you how many people want to be on the show.
- 46:13Carmen Lezeth: I want to do the podcast, but the minute I say it's a live stream, they're like a what?
- 46:17Tony D.: Yes, so you have a live stream broadcast and you have a private lounge.
- 46:21Tony D.: Absolutely, that's how you spend yourself, yeah.
- 46:23Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm trying to do.
- 46:24Carmen Lezeth: I want to build a brand, so I think, reanalyzing even for you as well.
- 46:28Carmen Lezeth: Tony, like you know, I understand that you're trying to put yourself on all these different, you know places or whatever.
- 46:35Carmen Lezeth: But instead of trying to game the system, why not learn?
- 46:40Carmen Lezeth: It is my question.
- 46:41Carmen Lezeth: Learn the creative economy and then like, if you want to make a living, I mean, what is your ultimate goal?
- 46:46Carmen Lezeth: Tell me what your ultimate goal is, Say what you just said at the beginning.
- 46:50Tony D.: Again, it actually clicks.
- 46:53Tony D.: Something, something you said before the creative economy.
- 46:58Carmen Lezeth: I said learn the creator economy instead of trying to game it Like you all.
- 47:00Carmen Lezeth: Keep trying to After the system instead of just trying to learn with the creative Look at I.
- 47:06Carmen Lezeth: Let me explain it this way.
- 47:07Carmen Lezeth: I don't know who I explained this to the other day, but oh, it's probably Cynthia right Last night, yeah, Yesterday.
- 47:12Carmen Lezeth: Let me explain it to you this way because I don't think people understand this.
- 47:15Carmen Lezeth: People fucking haps don't understand this.
- 47:19Carmen Lezeth: Okay, You're going to get off me, I don't.
- 47:21Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to explain to you right now.
- 47:22Carmen Lezeth: You're going to understand it, and I think Rick understands what I'm about to say, because I talked about it last night and it's only because I'm in both worlds, right, so, and I was in the creative economy, but now I'm trying to get in that world.
- 47:34Carmen Lezeth: So there's Hollywood.
- 47:35Carmen Lezeth: We understand Hollywood, right, there are actors that are Actors, there are films, there's advertising, there's agents.
- 47:43Carmen Lezeth: We get it.
- 47:44Carmen Lezeth: The reward shows.
- 47:46Tony D.: Exponence and love for the people that understand.
- 47:48Carmen Lezeth: We also put Broadway in kind of the Hollywood world right.
- 47:50Carmen Lezeth: We all understand that the creative economy is not the same as Hollywood.
- 47:55Carmen Lezeth: It is a different entity.
- 47:57Carmen Lezeth: It is your YouTube people, your Mr Beast, your Gary Vee's, your I don't know Mama Tots on TikTok, or Terry Kane or Kane, okay.
- 48:09Rick Costa: Yeah.
- 48:09Carmen Lezeth: I mean, it's all of the stars that are on.
- 48:12Carmen Lezeth: You know, there are other ones, I don't know.
- 48:13Carmen Lezeth: There are a whole bunch of other stars on YouTube and TikTok and Instagram all the influencers.
- 48:19Carmen Lezeth: That's the creator economy, right?
- 48:22Carmen Lezeth: I used to be the producer of a podcast called the creator economy, and the reason why I took that job and I did it as a consultant was so that I could learn about how the creator economy works.
- 48:35Tony D.: So you was a producer.
- 48:37Carmen Lezeth: I was the producer of a podcast called the creator economy for the past.
- 48:40Carmen Lezeth: Like year I don't do it anymore, but I learned everything and I got to meet all these people and I went to the.
- 48:46Carmen Lezeth: I called it Comic Con, but it's not a Comic Con fest, it's like it's it was called.
- 48:52Carmen Lezeth: Vidcon.
- 48:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry.
- 48:53Rick Costa: Like a convention.
- 48:55Carmen Lezeth: It's VidCon and it's every year.
- 48:57Carmen Lezeth: They have it in three different places.
- 48:58Carmen Lezeth: They had it here in Anaheim, right near Disney.
- 49:01Carmen Lezeth: But my, my, my whole point is is when you start to learn how the creator economy works, you start trying to work in it instead of trying to game it.
- 49:12Carmen Lezeth: And I feel like people at Haps, you know and I'm not going to mention names because this is going to be broadcast but there are people at Haps who are confused as to how the creator economy works, and I think that's why the Haps kind of failed.
- 49:26Carmen Lezeth: By the way, just on the business end of it, you know, there was this part of it where they were kind of trying to do a business that they hadn't fully thought out how it was going to work, and then they tried to do that other thing where they were trying to be like agents or managers to people.
- 49:38Carmen Lezeth: I mean, they really messed up that whole.
- 49:41Tony D.: I know what she's talking about, right.
- 49:44Carmen Lezeth: So what.
- 49:46Tony D.: I think is, is it would be great.
- 49:49Carmen Lezeth: I think what Rick is doing is great.
- 49:51Carmen Lezeth: You should always look at what you're doing wrong or you could do better to fix your business, no matter what industry you're in and how can you work within it so that you can make money doing it, and it doesn't matter.
- 50:04Carmen Lezeth: There's there's eight billion people in the world.
- 50:07Carmen Lezeth: I'm positive there's enough people in the world that will pay him so he can make a living being what he's doing, because what he's doing is a nice good thing that people in that world like I agree Praying I'm saying it like so disrespectfully.
- 50:25Rick Costa: No, you're good.
- 50:26Carmen Lezeth: Praying and sharing and and harmonizing in music.
- 50:30Carmen Lezeth: Whatever you know, there's enough people that will pay him for that, because there are people being make up fucking chips.
- 50:38Tony D.: OK.
- 50:38Tony D.: So here's my thing.
- 50:39Tony D.: When you, when you look at a lot of things on apps, when you first got over there, there were only a few people who were serious about broadcasting.
- 50:46Tony D.: The rest of us were hanging out.
- 50:47Tony D.: That's obviously.
- 50:48Tony D.: I think you got a bad image at first.
- 50:49Tony D.: Around the end, a couple of us was trying to get more serious on broadcast and live streaming.
- 50:53Tony D.: We had to look to try to do something with it.
- 50:55Tony D.: I'm very guilty of that myself.
- 50:57Tony D.: Um, when you say, game it instead of learning it, I kind of want to give it.
- 51:05Tony D.: I never tried to dig into learning it, I just tried to work it.
- 51:08Tony D.: So I got to give you that one.
- 51:10Tony D.: I did do, I did.
- 51:13Carmen Lezeth: And I don't think that's a bad thing.
- 51:14Carmen Lezeth: I think that's how you know you have to step in.
- 51:17Carmen Lezeth: I mean, that's why I love Gary V Just get in there and do it.
- 51:20Carmen Lezeth: But at some point, if what you're doing isn't working the way you want it to get up and try something else.
- 51:25Carmen Lezeth: Like instead, what people did was they just keep complaining about it, right, or they keep talking about like and you're adding to the badness of it, right.
- 51:36Carmen Lezeth: So not you, but I'm just saying like it's kind of that weird chicken egg thing if you're not pressing and you're upset about it, but you're upset about it, so you can't learn it, so that you can move forward and get better at it.
- 52:14Rick Costa: And when I first joined haps, I didn't talk to nobody.
- 52:17Rick Costa: I just did my thing like I was doing over in Periscope.
- 52:19Rick Costa: I didn't talk to nobody.
- 52:20Rick Costa: But then a while I started to go in people's haps, whatever, and start talking to them.
- 52:25Rick Costa: And even Carmen, I remember you at one point was there and said oh, you don't really know these people.
- 52:29Rick Costa: Like, not really, I just only started talking to people.
- 52:33Carmen Lezeth: Mostly Different community, cynthia you you mm-hmm.
- 52:38Cynthia: Oh yeah, I mean, I experienced at that time just watching that, uh, the one situation.
- 52:46Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I know, well, that was kind of.
- 52:47Carmen Lezeth: That was the whole kind of same thing that was happening On a regular basis.
- 52:53Carmen Lezeth: The lounge is to share whatever we want to share, it's going to be publicized.
- 53:09Carmen Lezeth: I do not want to go down that road again, but that you know it.
- 53:12Carmen Lezeth: But but that's kind of when I realized like I really felt feel so bad Because there's that much animosity and jealousy and anger.
- 53:24Carmen Lezeth: Okay, here's the thing that.
- 53:26Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm just gonna be straight up, we're gonna be straight up.
- 53:28Carmen Lezeth: The thing I didn't like about haps was the pretend support that people had for each other, but actually people did not have support for each other, right, but you would all do that, you would also.
- 53:38Carmen Lezeth: But the truth was people were jealous of other people, people were putting down other.
- 53:42Carmen Lezeth: But you know what I'm saying?
- 53:46Carmen Lezeth: Right, people were.
- 53:47Carmen Lezeth: There are people who would smoke pot or drink while they were on the show or whatever, right, and people do it.
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: You're talking about people at one o'clock in the morning, you know, talking kind of like a lounge thing, but like for hours and Cynthia, it was hours people on it for four or five hours easy drunk out of their mind.
- 54:08Rick Costa: Never been on any platform that was as toxic as have.
- 54:11Rick Costa: Sorry to say, but it's true.
- 54:14Carmen Lezeth: I Know so bad.
- 54:16Carmen Lezeth: And then there were people and I thought I loved Ted with all my heart.
- 54:19Carmen Lezeth: But I had a one-on-one with him and I'm like, if you are going to be this person, I don't want to talk to you either, like I'm done because Ted was one of those people who never Look at me.
- 54:33Carmen Lezeth: He's looking at me, tony's like what do you mean?
- 54:34Carmen Lezeth: Ted is a god.
- 54:35Carmen Lezeth: No, intervened in anything, right?
- 54:38Carmen Lezeth: So I'm kind of one of these people like, since they have somebody's harming you, I'm gonna protect you because I need you to be protected, because you my friend, right and I'm.
- 54:47Carmen Lezeth: And here we are, we're always saying we're friends and we're supporting each other, whatever.
- 54:52Carmen Lezeth: But then someone's dissing you over and over and over again and I'm like, oh, not only am I not doing anything, I'm in the room watching it, so I'm giving it views, right?
- 55:06Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, haps was very toxic and I think I think, yes, I might have a very negative viewpoint of it, because I don't love that energy and it's not who I am.
- 55:21Carmen Lezeth: And then you have, I have to put my street self out there when people try to mess with my people or with me.
- 55:29Carmen Lezeth: That's not who I am on a regular basis, but don't fuck with my people.
- 55:33Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean and don't try to fuck with me.
- 55:35Carmen Lezeth: But that that kind of look at Tony's like ignoring everything.
- 55:41Rick Costa: I was sorry and I think you honestly were trying to do something professional, serious, but then you know, all these knuckleheads come in.
- 55:49Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I was trying to interview people, get to like.
- 55:52Carmen Lezeth: My whole idea was which is right.
- 55:56Cynthia: That happens in life in general, like whether you're on any type of social media or not.
- 56:01Cynthia: That happens in life.
- 56:02Cynthia: People are always jealous of Anything that you might do that you know that's better than them or they think is better than them.
- 56:10Cynthia: That's just life but this was.
- 56:13Carmen Lezeth: But this the difference was.
- 56:14Carmen Lezeth: This was a Like think about being in a building Like a bar.
- 56:20Carmen Lezeth: You're in a bar, in a community of people, like in a school or something.
- 56:24Carmen Lezeth: So it was a very closed, tight-knit group of people.
- 56:27Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, and it was so.
- 56:30Carmen Lezeth: Even when you tried to get away, they would still try to get in touch with you to get you back in.
- 56:35Carmen Lezeth: It was really weird.
- 56:37Carmen Lezeth: It was a weird time and I look it, I stayed for as long as I could and I I made a lot of mistakes because I trusted way too many people.
- 56:45Carmen Lezeth: I really did, and I learned my lesson the hard way, right, because you're always learning.
- 56:49Carmen Lezeth: That's what you're saying like.
- 56:50Carmen Lezeth: You always got to learn.
- 56:51Carmen Lezeth: But that's why, when they talk about haps or periscope, I'm like move on, because y'all remembering role.
- 56:59Carmen Lezeth: It's like Teresa, no offense, you know what I mean.
- 57:02Carmen Lezeth: Like I'm sorry this is, I shouldn't have said her name, but it's just so funny because you know the way we grow up, the way we grew up Like we.
- 57:13Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I grew up in a household where there were roaches.
- 57:15Carmen Lezeth: I'm just go say it straight up.
- 57:16Carmen Lezeth: Right, we grew up poor, right.
- 57:18Carmen Lezeth: But if you talk to other people in the same neighborhood.
- 57:23Carmen Lezeth: And you say remember, though, we had like roaches in here in California.
- 57:27Carmen Lezeth: That it's a very different ballgame.
- 57:28Carmen Lezeth: Roaches in the east coast they're really little, that's why we were talking about them.
- 57:32Carmen Lezeth: Right, and this woman goes what are you talking about?
- 57:36Carmen Lezeth: There are no roaches on our streets.
- 57:38Carmen Lezeth: I Like what?
- 57:42Carmen Lezeth: Like just the kind of you forget.
- 57:46Tony D.: The traps and the spray.
- 57:47Tony D.: She kept them all the way out.
- 57:48Tony D.: Some people.
- 57:53Carmen Lezeth: Like all of a sudden.
- 57:54Carmen Lezeth: Somehow she lived like on Newberry Street a song.
- 57:59Cynthia: Even do very, she has rats, okay, I don't know but?
- 58:02Carmen Lezeth: but they're classy around.
- 58:03Carmen Lezeth: It's a great skill.
- 58:11Carmen Lezeth: It is a great skill to be able to remember the good things and not the bad things, and that is an Excellent thing, by the way, because too many people harp on the negative and keep it there, and that's part of the problem with some of the people that are still hanging on.
- 58:29Carmen Lezeth: But I think you're right, you need to have both of you, rick and Tony need to get a bigger Group of people watching your shows and enjoying you that are not the same people not enough.
- 58:41Carmen Lezeth: You know you want your core people.
- 58:43Carmen Lezeth: We love our core people, but how do you bring other people into the fold?
- 58:49Tony D.: Even they were trying to help me and who's they?
- 58:53Tony D.: the people that were supporting me.
- 58:54Tony D.: They were trying.
- 58:55Tony D.: I think our time was just up for what we enjoyed at the moment, which is where you're correct that we got to move on, and that's one of the things I used to say.
- 59:02Tony D.: I had to think of something different.
- 59:03Tony D.: I had to think of something more original.
- 59:05Tony D.: I had to try and do something else if I wanted to do this seriously.
- 59:08Tony D.: And I said we'll put two or three years and it's been Two and a half years of it and working on it, um, what's your goal?
- 59:15Carmen Lezeth: Do you know what your end goal is?
- 59:17Tony D.: I wanted to have a study podcast.
- 59:18Tony D.: I did.
- 59:19Tony D.: I want to have a large run is.
- 59:20Tony D.: I want to have a weekly show, one monetize one.
- 59:22Tony D.: I did.
- 59:24Tony D.: Now, drawing an audience isn't so easy.
- 59:27Tony D.: I'm you and I talked about this almost two years ago.
- 59:30Tony D.: I said drawing an audience isn't easy and you had a lot of suggestions.
- 59:32Tony D.: I'm like I tried, it's not working.
- 59:33Tony D.: I try this now work.
- 59:34Tony D.: You like just a big excuse?
- 59:35Tony D.: I said no and so when you started, I started watching you and you know what you did.
- 59:39Tony D.: You had.
- 59:40Tony D.: You've had more guests than me.
- 59:41Tony D.: I Actually credit and I was told you I like how you did your show.
- 59:44Tony D.: I like how you carried it, like how you started and everything.
- 59:46Tony D.: You've had great guests and everything.
- 59:48Tony D.: There are so many people I would love to talk to.
- 59:50Tony D.: Actually brought that up in the conversation.
- 59:52Tony D.: I think it was on to the spaces in time and one of the guys heard me and Hashtag actually hashtag to do to see if you will respond.
- 1:00:00Tony D.: A lot of people aren't gonna talk to us because we're too small.
- 1:00:03Tony D.: Mark, I get that.
- 1:00:04Tony D.: I get that entirely.
- 1:00:05Tony D.: Yeah, you know who did?
- 1:00:09Tony D.: I don't know.
- 1:00:13Tony D.: Tracy bless me.
- 1:00:14Carmen Lezeth: That's a whole other no but you're saying bless you All right.
- 1:00:18Carmen Lezeth: You know what happened, because I can't Do you know who Tracy Bingham is cuz exactly.
- 1:00:34Tony D.: Black woman that was on big watch.
- 1:00:37Carmen Lezeth: Still nothing.
- 1:00:37Carmen Lezeth: Wait, here's even better.
- 1:00:39Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia Guess where she's from right, where she's from Boston, and we still don't know who she is, so in.
- 1:00:50Tony D.: I had my largest audience from my own broadcast when I did.
- 1:00:54Carmen Lezeth: I know and I'm not looking.
- 1:00:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm not trying to be mean.
- 1:00:56Carmen Lezeth: The reason why I'm doing this, the reason why I'm saying, is is You're harping on something that to you was a big deal but it's keeping you stagnant.
- 1:01:06Carmen Lezeth: It's no offense to her, she's lovely lady.
- 1:01:09Carmen Lezeth: I did not watch the whole thing.
- 1:01:10Carmen Lezeth: It was a very sexually oriented thing.
- 1:01:13Carmen Lezeth: I'm a jiggy.
- 1:01:13Carmen Lezeth: From what I understood right, that's what I heard it was very sexual.
- 1:01:17Tony D.: That's what you heard.
- 1:01:18Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I did not watch it, but I heard her titty came out of something.
- 1:01:22Rick Costa: You had a nip slip, she showed it.
- 1:01:24Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying that's not my kind of thing.
- 1:01:26Tony D.: Hey, that was a talker to that woman, that's all everybody remembers.
- 1:01:28Tony D.: Yeah, I need to know.
- 1:01:31Carmen Lezeth: Not if that's what if I showed my titty right now, you think it was gonna?
- 1:01:39Rick Costa: Okay, Janet Jackson.
- 1:01:50Tony D.: Decent conversation with.
- 1:01:51Tony D.: I'll let her talk to everybody in the audience.
- 1:01:53Tony D.: She was open to answer questions.
- 1:01:54Tony D.: We had a good time.
- 1:01:55Tony D.: It was a great conversation and I didn't want to do an interview.
- 1:01:58Tony D.: I wanted to come.
- 1:01:59Tony D.: I told her that at the beginning she was so game with it.
- 1:02:01Tony D.: It was fun and I had most of the people that I knew on that platform were right there supporting me.
- 1:02:07Tony D.: That's what I can't forget.
- 1:02:09Tony D.: That's what I can't let go.
- 1:02:10Tony D.: I'll be honest about that, and it's been almost two years now.
- 1:02:14Tony D.: I'm gonna have to, but I will always admit that Motivated, propelled me so hard to want to do more, to want to be better.
- 1:02:21Carmen Lezeth: So then, why are you not doing it then?
- 1:02:24Tony D.: I've been.
- 1:02:24Tony D.: I've been broadcasted since and they're supporting you.
- 1:02:27Tony D.: Excuse me.
- 1:02:29Cynthia: Are they still supporting you?
- 1:02:30Tony D.: minimal, let's the one percent of the people who they have to be before it's not fair.
- 1:02:34Carmen Lezeth: Wait, he's living.
- 1:02:35Carmen Lezeth: He's leaving out the important part again.
- 1:02:38Carmen Lezeth: That was on that platform, that was we're all in the same building.
- 1:02:41Carmen Lezeth: So, right, me show in the moment was him interviewing this woman that was on Baywatch.
- 1:02:47Carmen Lezeth: And I'm not gonna be rude about it, like I'm not saying she's nobody or whatever.
- 1:02:52Carmen Lezeth: The reason why I put it that way is because I want you to bring it down a notch so that you can see over the hilltop you've made of her.
- 1:03:02Carmen Lezeth: So, yes, everyone came in and watched you interview her, but that was because she was a new star person and also ridiculously gorgeous and sexy and like that sells shit.
- 1:03:16Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:03:17Carmen Lezeth: That's not to take anything away from you, but if you're going to be a great host, if you're gonna be a great podcaster or whatever, it's not about you, it's about the interviewer you're doing.
- 1:03:27Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:03:28Carmen Lezeth: So it's not that people aren't supporting you now.
- 1:03:31Carmen Lezeth: It's because we don't have a centralized place where the three people you know over and over and over again are going to follow you.
- 1:03:38Carmen Lezeth: And do you know what I mean?
- 1:03:39Carmen Lezeth: It's not the same thing.
- 1:03:40Carmen Lezeth: So that's why I'm saying why don't you?
- 1:03:43Carmen Lezeth: You do whatever you wanna do, but try to focus on one thing If you wanna be a great interviewer and you wanna interview people, interview anybody who will be on your show and do it consistently.
- 1:03:54Carmen Lezeth: Do it every week.
- 1:03:55Carmen Lezeth: Interview Cynthia, interview me, interview Rick just, and that's how you get it going.
- 1:04:00Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I've been interviewing a lot of my friends and then I had other people who asked to be on the show, who I didn't really know.
- 1:04:08Carmen Lezeth: I have other people who wanna come on the show with a little hesitant of the live stream, so now I'm trying to mold it into something that's okay.
- 1:04:14Carmen Lezeth: We'll do like a lounge so that it isn't a live stream, and then I'll just do the audio for them on the podcast.
- 1:04:19Carmen Lezeth: That's fair.
- 1:04:20Tony D.: We'll be coming up on a year that you started right.
- 1:04:23Carmen Lezeth: No, I started in March.
- 1:04:24Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, I guess in March it'll be right.
- 1:04:26Carmen Lezeth: April, April, April.
- 1:04:29Tony D.: I was thinking April May.
- 1:04:31Carmen Lezeth: April, I think it was April, but that's what I'm trying to say is, just and look at it, I'm not looking to get a lot of and I think to Rick's dismay but I'm not worried about getting a whole bunch of followers and I'm not worried about getting a bunch of likes or whatever.
- 1:04:48Carmen Lezeth: I'm trying to build a brand because what I wanna do is get a book deal and I wanna do speaking events.
- 1:04:53Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:04:54Carmen Lezeth: Like I'm trying to do a whole other thing.
- 1:04:56Tony D.: I'm not worried about you got a whole separate agenda from what a lot of us are doing, because you're going to get a lot of people.
- 1:05:01Carmen Lezeth: I'm not really obsessed and the Carmen talk is part of the chapters in my book.
- 1:05:06Carmen Lezeth: See, I got a little, that's what I'm trying to do.
- 1:05:08Tony D.: You've always had a plan.
- 1:05:09Tony D.: Absolutely you always had a plan.
- 1:05:10Carmen Lezeth: So that's what, and look it.
- 1:05:11Carmen Lezeth: It may not work, but I'm having fun doing it.
- 1:05:15Carmen Lezeth: I'm having a great time doing it.
- 1:05:17Carmen Lezeth: And do you listen to Gary Vee?
- 1:05:19Carmen Lezeth: No, oh my God, yeah, you should.
- 1:05:22Carmen Lezeth: Do you listen to Gary Vee, who is?
- 1:05:24Tony D.: Gary.
- 1:05:24Carmen Lezeth: Vee.
- 1:05:24Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, lord Jesus, I don't even know how to do that.
- 1:05:27Rick Costa: I'm the only one you gotta call him.
- 1:05:29Carmen Lezeth: I sent you today, though, like three of them.
- 1:05:31Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I did watch those.
- 1:05:33Tony D.: You don't know Is he a motivational speaker?
- 1:05:36Cynthia: Is he a motivational speaker?
- 1:05:38Cynthia: He's a motivational speaker, but I'm trying to stand up to that.
- 1:05:41Tony D.: Michael Bathurst telling me about he used to play in the mornings.
- 1:05:43Carmen Lezeth: I am positive Michael Bathurst does not listen to Gary Vee, okay.
- 1:05:49Tony D.: There's some guy.
- 1:05:49Tony D.: He was telling me this through some motivational speaker.
- 1:05:51Tony D.: He was telling me I should check out and I was like, okay.
- 1:05:54Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I could be wrong, but, Rick, do you think Michael Bathurst is listening?
- 1:05:57Rick Costa: to Gary Vee I have no idea.
- 1:06:00Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'll look him up.
- 1:06:01Carmen Lezeth: Wait, can I do it here?
- 1:06:01Carmen Lezeth: Let me see if I can show you Let.
- 1:06:05Tony D.: Gary Vee to check.
- 1:06:07Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah yeah, gary Vee to check.
- 1:06:08Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, if you listen-.
- 1:06:10Carmen Lezeth: No, gary Vee, that's him.
- 1:06:12Carmen Lezeth: Gary Vee to check.
- 1:06:13Tony D.: Okay, yeah, that's not who Bathurst was telling me about.
- 1:06:15Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I'm positive because I mean Gary Vee swears every five seconds.
- 1:06:19Carmen Lezeth: There's no way that I would think Michael Bathurst would listen to him.
- 1:06:23Tony D.: He swears, so do I.
- 1:06:24Tony D.: He swears.
- 1:06:24Carmen Lezeth: No, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:06:25Rick Costa: That's why I like Not as bad as he used to be, though you gotta give it to him Little bit.
- 1:06:29Carmen Lezeth: No, you guys gotta get over the swearing thing.
- 1:06:32Tony D.: I don't care, but you know I'll say that for later.
- 1:06:35Tony D.: Next episode no go ahead what?
- 1:06:36Tony D.: Next episode.
- 1:06:38Tony D.: Next episode.
- 1:06:40Rick Costa: Wow, we're good.
- 1:06:40Rick Costa: But he's very encouraging.
- 1:06:42Rick Costa: Like he's like I don't care if you're 50.
- 1:06:44Rick Costa: Get in there, do it and go on here and go in there.
- 1:06:46Rick Costa: Like he's very in that aspect he could be motivational, but he's a good one to listen to.
- 1:06:51Rick Costa: I would say so too.
- 1:06:52Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I think what I like about him is he's you know it's so funny because somebody told me the other day they hate the word authentic, it's overused, but I think it's an appropriate word.
- 1:07:01Carmen Lezeth: He's just straight up authentic about the advice he gives and it's kind of the same advice that I need to hear.
- 1:07:08Carmen Lezeth: It's like I don't want the flowery stuff, I don't want people who look it.
- 1:07:13Carmen Lezeth: I love Oprah with all my heart.
- 1:07:14Carmen Lezeth: I do.
- 1:07:15Carmen Lezeth: I even love Tyler Perry, I do.
- 1:07:16Carmen Lezeth: I respect them, whatever.
- 1:07:18Carmen Lezeth: But at some point you get so big.
- 1:07:20Carmen Lezeth: Sometimes or you've sold a book or you've done whatever and you're like.
- 1:07:24Carmen Lezeth: You know, when I was your age, I remember sitting and they always do that thing, like from this place of wealth and statue and security, telling us how they did it right.
- 1:07:35Carmen Lezeth: And that's what we all expect to hear.
- 1:07:38Carmen Lezeth: I'm so sick of that.
- 1:07:39Carmen Lezeth: Gary never talks like that.
- 1:07:41Carmen Lezeth: He's just like look it, get your ass out there and do it, because you can do ABC and D and da, da, da, da.
- 1:07:47Carmen Lezeth: And he's just like you feel like he's still in the struggle with you.
- 1:07:52Carmen Lezeth: What do you mean?
- 1:07:52Tony D.: Yeah, he didn't forget where he came from.
- 1:07:54Tony D.: That's how he sounds.
- 1:07:55Tony D.: He didn't forget the struggle.
- 1:07:57Tony D.: I understand that.
- 1:07:58Rick Costa: And he does not tolerate excuses either.
- 1:07:59Rick Costa: He'd be like no, no, that's excuses.
- 1:08:01Rick Costa: Now.
- 1:08:02Carmen Lezeth: And he says things that other people never say, but I so believe like if you're the boss and you have people working for you, why do you expect everybody else to work as hard as you?
- 1:08:13Carmen Lezeth: Who owns the company?
- 1:08:14Carmen Lezeth: I cannot tell you how many times I've talked to my clients and I'm like you need to listen to this Gary Vee thing.
- 1:08:20Carmen Lezeth: It's just one minute.
- 1:08:21Carmen Lezeth: Just listen to this, because it's true.
- 1:08:24Carmen Lezeth: If you own the company, why do you expect everybody else to be running around with their heads cut off when their game paid 25 bucks an hour or whatever?
- 1:08:32Carmen Lezeth: Why are you doing that to people?
- 1:08:34Carmen Lezeth: And it's like that's the shit I love about him, that he's so on point about real ways in which you can move through.
- 1:08:43Carmen Lezeth: Oh, and here's the other thing, tony, the reason why I know so much about the creator economies, because I bought one of his first books Jab Jab Hook, I think, was the name of it.
- 1:08:50Carmen Lezeth: I still have it.
- 1:08:51Carmen Lezeth: I can send it to you if you want.
- 1:08:52Tony D.: It's all like he boxes.
- 1:08:54Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, no, no, he doesn't box.
- 1:08:55Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I don't know why he loves football and he loves sports, so you might oh, I forgot about that.
- 1:09:00Tony D.: He loves the Jets right.
- 1:09:02Carmen Lezeth: He's a big, he wants to buy the Jets or something.
- 1:09:04Carmen Lezeth: That's like his big dream, really, yeah.
- 1:09:07Tony D.: Tony.
- 1:09:07Tony D.: We said hurry up.
- 1:09:08Tony D.: I don't know him personally.
- 1:09:10Tony D.: You sound like you do.
- 1:09:12Carmen Lezeth: I don't, but you know what, everybody who listens to him loves him.
- 1:09:17Carmen Lezeth: Like I don't know.
- 1:09:17Carmen Lezeth: I didn't know if Rick would like him.
- 1:09:19Carmen Lezeth: But Rick, I introduced you to him, right.
- 1:09:21Rick Costa: I already had heard him before, but you, definitely you did huh.
- 1:09:25Carmen Lezeth: You never give me no credit.
- 1:09:26Carmen Lezeth: You want me to lie.
- 1:09:27Carmen Lezeth: I told you to listen to him.
- 1:09:30Rick Costa: But you did, but I had already listened to him because he from Bitcoin people.
- 1:09:35Rick Costa: Oh, that's right.
- 1:09:36Carmen Lezeth: He's a Bitcoin guy too.
- 1:09:37Carmen Lezeth: He's got me.
- 1:09:40Carmen Lezeth: He's not a Bitcoin, he's what.
- 1:09:42Rick Costa: He's not afraid to tell you hard truths, like if you come to him and say well, this time, well, he was like.
- 1:09:47Rick Costa: He'll just tell you, you know what your problem is?
- 1:09:48Rick Costa: Blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:09:49Rick Costa: And he'll just tell you straight up he don't care if you cry.
- 1:09:51Carmen Lezeth: Sounds like somebody I know, but Tony, he's into Bitcoin.
- 1:09:57Tony D.: I'm into Ethereum, but thank you.
- 1:09:58Tony D.: Whatever he's into, whatever he has to be Cryptocurrency cryptocurrency.
- 1:10:03Carmen Lezeth: Cryptocurrency yeah, he's into that crap too.
- 1:10:04Carmen Lezeth: So, sports, football, Bitcoinage I think he can do that.
- 1:10:12Carmen Lezeth: But you know what I think if you, you should follow him on Instagram or wherever TikTok, cause I'm telling you, you're going to change the way you view social media if you start listening to how he talks about.
- 1:10:24Carmen Lezeth: But his first book was about social media and that's why I got to know him that many years ago, when his first book came out, Because I was like I don't understand this fucking internet shit and I need somebody to tell me.
- 1:10:35Carmen Lezeth: And I bought this book and I was like oh, and that's what I mean is like do your work.
- 1:10:43Carmen Lezeth: Learn shit.
- 1:10:45Tony D.: Informative drama is the best way to describe social media.
- 1:10:47Tony D.: What Informative drama it's the best way to describe social media?
- 1:10:53Tony D.: I don't think that's true.
- 1:10:55Tony D.: It is Take it for somebody who's up there all the time what?
- 1:11:01Carmen Lezeth: You don't use the internet every day, all of us.
- 1:11:05Tony D.: You know you use social media every day.
- 1:11:07Carmen Lezeth: I use social media every motherfucking day.
- 1:11:09Carmen Lezeth: All my clients have social media.
- 1:11:11Carmen Lezeth: Isn't Tony weird?
- 1:11:14Carmen Lezeth: I think that's just a portion.
- 1:11:16Rick Costa: You said can't say the whole internet.
- 1:11:18Rick Costa: That's a portion of the internet.
- 1:11:20Carmen Lezeth: That's why I'm telling you to listen to Gary V, because I think you're going to learn something different about the internet.
- 1:11:25Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:11:26Carmen Lezeth: All you people on haps have this vision of what you're able to do.
- 1:11:32Carmen Lezeth: Let him drink his peach.
- 1:11:34Rick Costa: Let him drink his peach schnapps in peace.
- 1:11:36Carmen Lezeth: I know I didn't even.
- 1:11:40Carmen Lezeth: That's Rick.
- 1:11:41Carmen Lezeth: That's the Christian man over there.
- 1:11:45Tony D.: This is just Pepsi.
- 1:11:46Tony D.: I haven't even poured any liquor in this.
- 1:11:49Tony D.: This is just some.
- 1:11:50Carmen Lezeth: Sure, I believe you.
- 1:11:55Tony D.: I'll tell you when I'm drinking.
- 1:11:58Carmen Lezeth: So, cynthia, what about you?
- 1:12:01Rick Costa: How you doing, girl, what you drinking.
- 1:12:03Rick Costa: Just kidding, I'm drinking apple juice, apple juice.
- 1:12:07Carmen Lezeth: I can't drink apple juice.
- 1:12:08Carmen Lezeth: It always bloats me.
- 1:12:09Carmen Lezeth: I'm just drinking water, but I don't like I'm trying, not to.
- 1:12:16Carmen Lezeth: Somebody told me to stop advertising, but of course I just did it.
- 1:12:20Carmen Lezeth: Products on my live streams, see, I have people who are always helping me.
- 1:12:25Carmen Lezeth: They're like stop advertising things.
- 1:12:27Carmen Lezeth: Don't have anything what low goes on.
- 1:12:29Carmen Lezeth: Don't advertise things that you're not getting paid for.
- 1:12:32Carmen Lezeth: And I'm like OK, no what's going?
- 1:12:34Rick Costa: to happen if you do.
- 1:12:37Carmen Lezeth: No, they're just saying you want people to come to you Like you don't want to advertise things for free if you don't need to.
- 1:12:43Carmen Lezeth: So when you're accidentally doing Crystal Geyser, what if somebody from Arrowhead was like, oh you know what, she would be great, but oh, she already has a deal with Crystal Geyser.
- 1:12:53Carmen Lezeth: No, I don't, you know what it means it was kind of an interesting I don't know what that is.
- 1:12:59Tony D.: It's my crown of world golden apple bag.
- 1:13:01Tony D.: Oh jeez.
- 1:13:02Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, your peach schnapps.
- 1:13:05Carmen Lezeth: Now it's green apple schnapps.
- 1:13:10Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, that's kind of the stuff, the little things that people will let me know about, like some of the people that I work with who are PR people.
- 1:13:17Carmen Lezeth: They're PR people for celebrities, but they'll say things like don't do this, don't do that, whatever.
- 1:13:23Carmen Lezeth: And I asked one of them because somebody, because people had brought up my swearing.
- 1:13:27Carmen Lezeth: They were like Carmen, your swearing is awesome.
- 1:13:29Carmen Lezeth: People are going to like you because you're doing controversial stuff and you're swearing or whatever it's like.
- 1:13:36Carmen Lezeth: That's the difference between the internet and Hollywood.
- 1:13:40Rick Costa: So in a broadcast I should put everything in a mug, so that way you can't tell what it is.
- 1:13:45Carmen Lezeth: It helps.
- 1:13:45Carmen Lezeth: What's with your mug?
- 1:13:49Rick Costa: No, I'm saying instead of lifting up in this drink and you can see what this is.
- 1:13:52Rick Costa: If I put it in a mug, you ain't going to know what it is.
- 1:13:54Rick Costa: That's why.
- 1:13:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm here.
- 1:13:54Carmen Lezeth: Well, that's why I always do this, that's why I always have a cup, and yesterday I remember I had the California Sun, which is a magazine.
- 1:14:02Carmen Lezeth: It's not a magazine, it's a digital newspaper that I get and it lists all the things happening in California every day.
- 1:14:10Carmen Lezeth: And I bought the cup but I wanted to show you.
- 1:14:14Carmen Lezeth: But I also don't mind supporting them because they're a good organization.
- 1:14:18Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:14:20Carmen Lezeth: So he had to step away, probably for his son or whatever.
- 1:14:22Carmen Lezeth: What is that?
- 1:14:23Carmen Lezeth: Oh, he took the camera off, so that's his thing.
- 1:14:25Rick Costa: That's a spawn, that's a comic character spawn.
- 1:14:28Carmen Lezeth: Oh, is it really.
- 1:14:28Rick Costa: Not Marvel or DC.
- 1:14:29Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah, so what happened to you?
- 1:14:32Cynthia: What happens if, like with the California Sun, one let's say you're always using that mug and that newspaper sees or hears the podcast, and then they want to talk to you.
- 1:14:46Carmen Lezeth: Well, the California Sun does I mean?
- 1:14:48Carmen Lezeth: First of all, he's a one person.
- 1:14:50Carmen Lezeth: He used to work for the New York Times and so I wanted to help him.
- 1:14:54Carmen Lezeth: I think people should subscribe to the California Sun.
- 1:14:56Carmen Lezeth: It's a great digital magazine of everything happening in all parts of California.
- 1:15:01Carmen Lezeth: I don't mind supporting him because he's like a small nonprofit.
- 1:15:06Carmen Lezeth: What he does is he left the New York Times.
- 1:15:08Carmen Lezeth: He gets up every morning, gets all the papers in all of California and then he puts all of the headlines, all of the best things that are happening in California, northern and southern California and then overall, like the governor or whatever, and it's not all bad news, but it's not liberal or conservative and you subscribe to it.
- 1:15:31Carmen Lezeth: It's like $25 a year or something.
- 1:15:34Carmen Lezeth: It's not a lot, but it's from all the other papers.
- 1:15:37Carmen Lezeth: And a couple of times when I couldn't afford it, especially during when we had remember the economy went down, like in 2018, whatever it was remember back then, whatever but I've always subscribed to this.
- 1:15:50Carmen Lezeth: It's a digital format.
- 1:15:51Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:15:51Carmen Lezeth: And he was like don't worry about it.
- 1:15:54Carmen Lezeth: When you can pay, you do pay.
- 1:15:56Carmen Lezeth: No big deal.
- 1:15:57Carmen Lezeth: He's a very small organization.
- 1:15:59Carmen Lezeth: He has so many people subscribed because this stuff is so good, because he's taking the headlines from all the other papers and putting them in one place so we can click and go read them, depending on what it is.
- 1:16:12Carmen Lezeth: So when I had more money, I sent him $100 as a gift and so he sent me his cup.
- 1:16:20Carmen Lezeth: So he's not going to be like oh Carmen, let's sponsor you on our show If anything.
- 1:16:27Carmen Lezeth: I'm like oh, you know what, I just paid my subscription in a day and so I grabbed the cup because I was like you know what?
- 1:16:32Carmen Lezeth: I want to support the show.
- 1:16:33Carmen Lezeth: But I also wanted to show Rick the kind of cup I want to make.
- 1:16:35Carmen Lezeth: For all about the joy, because I told you, I started a store and I had t-shirts and hoodies, whatever.
- 1:16:41Carmen Lezeth: See, tony, you don't even know this.
- 1:16:44Carmen Lezeth: I had a store, like Rick does, and I got my logos done and everything.
- 1:16:50Carmen Lezeth: But I bought everything first and when I got it it's horrible quality.
- 1:16:57Tony D.: So I said no, you mixed it.
- 1:16:59Tony D.: You mixed it.
- 1:17:00Carmen Lezeth: Ugly, like I don't like it.
- 1:17:01Carmen Lezeth: And then, rick, you sent me the list of all the other plays.
- 1:17:04Carmen Lezeth: I just haven't had time, like before Christmas.
- 1:17:05Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, me either.
- 1:17:06Carmen Lezeth: I just haven't had time to look through them all, but I do want to do it and, like when I have more time, I do want to do the cap and a cup.
- 1:17:14Carmen Lezeth: So I think I might try to do it in the next couple of weeks or whatever.
- 1:17:17Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, I had that, I'm just kind of lost.
- 1:17:22Tony D.: Let me see I actually have a place in the immediate business.
- 1:17:25Tony D.: I will switch shirts and t-shirts.
- 1:17:27Tony D.: That are way to work.
- 1:17:28Carmen Lezeth: No, no, no.
- 1:17:28Carmen Lezeth: This is the problem.
- 1:17:29Carmen Lezeth: I can't do that.
- 1:17:30Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia offered that too.
- 1:17:31Carmen Lezeth: I know what you're going to do no, no, if I had the time and the money to be like oh, let me buy 100 hoodies and 100 t-shirts and 100 cups and then I'll go over here.
- 1:17:43Carmen Lezeth: No, no, there are all these organizations where you just they do the.
- 1:17:46Carmen Lezeth: How do?
- 1:17:46Rick Costa: you call it, they drop ship it.
- 1:17:47Rick Costa: They drop ship it.
- 1:17:48Carmen Lezeth: They drop ship it.
- 1:17:49Carmen Lezeth: So if you come onto my website and you say I want a baseball captain that says all about the joy, they make it right then and there and send it to you.
- 1:17:57Tony D.: That's what Shopify and all those things are.
- 1:17:59Tony D.: They're instantaneous.
- 1:18:00Tony D.: They make it the more they want.
- 1:18:02Carmen Lezeth: Yeah and you don't have to.
- 1:18:03Rick Costa: That's the whole point, maybe not that instantaneous.
- 1:18:05Rick Costa: It's not instantaneous.
- 1:18:06Rick Costa: All you do is create it online and then somebody sees it I want that, and you don't have nothing to do with it.
- 1:18:13Rick Costa: They pay it, they put the credit card and they send it to them and all you do is receive the money.
- 1:18:16Rick Costa: You just create it and receive the money.
- 1:18:18Rick Costa: That's it.
- 1:18:19Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, so you don't have to.
- 1:18:20Carmen Lezeth: Why is he smiling?
- 1:18:22Rick Costa: He likes that idea.
- 1:18:23Rick Costa: He's like he is a turner.
- 1:18:24Carmen Lezeth: When I tell you that you guys have not learned social media, this is what I'm talking about.
- 1:18:29Carmen Lezeth: Like you over here telling how do you not know?
- 1:18:31Carmen Lezeth: That's what?
- 1:18:32Carmen Lezeth: All the you think, all those TikTokers who are making money are at home folding stuff in a box and mailing out shit.
- 1:18:39Tony D.: No, I didn't know that.
- 1:18:40Tony D.: I'm just saying.
- 1:18:41Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm trying to tell you.
- 1:18:42Carmen Lezeth: You need to learn the system instead of trying to game it.
- 1:18:46Carmen Lezeth: That's going to be my new motto.
- 1:18:47Carmen Lezeth: I'm trying to share a screen with you, but I don't know how to do it.
- 1:18:52Carmen Lezeth: I know right.
- 1:18:54Carmen Lezeth: Don't you hate being in the lounge, bitch?
- 1:18:57Tony D.: In the lounge.
- 1:18:57Tony D.: I mean Bitch Sh Sh.
- 1:19:00Carmen Lezeth: Come here, guys.
- 1:19:00Carmen Lezeth: Didn't go on last night.
- 1:19:03Tony D.: He.
- 1:19:03Tony D.: I think he overslept.
- 1:19:04Tony D.: He was going to do it tonight, but he there cancel tonight too.
- 1:19:06Tony D.: So it's all good, we'll be, trust me, we got all weekend.
- 1:19:11Tony D.: Yeah, we got all weekend.
- 1:19:13Tony D.: He's busy, he's busy.
- 1:19:15Carmen Lezeth: Oh, because he's starting his company.
- 1:19:18Tony D.: I wasn't gonna say it.
- 1:19:20Carmen Lezeth: What he talked about.
- 1:19:21Carmen Lezeth: It on the one I know.
- 1:19:23Tony D.: I was just waiting till it was gonna be done.
- 1:19:27Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, okay, so he's being busy.
- 1:19:28Tony D.: I'm over the sports talk, though I wish you guys would get together and talk about other stuff, carmen, you are three years late and I'm gonna tell you like that on purpose, because when I first met Ted we didn't talk about sports.
- 1:19:38Tony D.: I just started doing sports when I started doing my fantasy football broadcast, which was not this season but the previous season, and he wasn't knowing that much.
- 1:19:46Tony D.: And then last month yeah, last month he was going crazy with me.
- 1:19:50Tony D.: We're gonna do one of them.
- 1:19:50Tony D.: I said I mean we can.
- 1:19:51Tony D.: I'm like damn, I'm normally doing once a week and then they want to.
- 1:19:55Tony D.: It's been fun.
- 1:19:56Tony D.: They've helped me.
- 1:19:56Tony D.: Yeah, they helped me because they want to be there, they want to carry the conversations.
- 1:20:02Tony D.: I got the original format and then we just talked sports all the way through.
- 1:20:04Tony D.: So it's been fun.
- 1:20:06Tony D.: I'm not going to lie.
- 1:20:07Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but can I tell you the problem with the show?
- 1:20:08Carmen Lezeth: Can I tell you the problem with the show?
- 1:20:10Carmen Lezeth: Sure, because it's kind of.
- 1:20:12Carmen Lezeth: I think I was song-synthed to this, like it's called, what's it called?
- 1:20:15Rick Costa: Late Night Parents.
- 1:20:16Carmen Lezeth: Late Night Parents.
- 1:20:17Carmen Lezeth: So the branding is off, right, like if you guys are going to talk about sports, I'm not saying you have to change it, whatever, but I think that's a thing, because Andrea at first and this is how I know is a problem and she was like, oh, maybe I'll join the Late Night Parents thing when she first started doing the show with me and I was like, yeah, they just talk about sports.
- 1:20:36Carmen Lezeth: She's like, well, are they all parents?
- 1:20:38Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, oh no, she was like, all right, I'm not going to go to that show.
- 1:20:43Carmen Lezeth: But you see, that's a little confusing, right, because it's called Late Night.
- 1:20:47Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, if he raises his hand.
- 1:20:49Carmen Lezeth: I knew another fucking guy.
- 1:20:52Rick Costa: Late Night Sports fans would be better when we first started this show.
- 1:20:55Tony D.: it was Late Night Parents.
- 1:20:56Tony D.: It was him.
- 1:20:57Tony D.: He would have guests on there and Cynthia.
- 1:21:00Tony D.: He actually asked me to be a co-host.
- 1:21:01Tony D.: When I first met him, I told him sure, no problem.
- 1:21:03Tony D.: We've been running almost three years.
- 1:21:05Tony D.: Literally, both of us are parents.
- 1:21:08Tony D.: If you brought somebody else on, they were normally parents.
- 1:21:10Tony D.: Brian is an apparent.
- 1:21:11Tony D.: All the other guys I think there's only been two guys what about?
- 1:21:18Carmen Lezeth: Ken the fine man.
- 1:21:19Carmen Lezeth: Is he a parent?
- 1:21:22Tony D.: All the other guys that we talked to, I believe.
- 1:21:25Carmen Lezeth: I know he's married, but do they have children?
- 1:21:26Carmen Lezeth: That man is pretty, he's pretty.
- 1:21:32Carmen Lezeth: I just wanted to, I just had a vision of him.
- 1:21:34Carmen Lezeth: So everything you said.
- 1:21:35Tony D.: We need you to move on.
- 1:21:36Tony D.: Like you told me, I'm sorry.
- 1:21:39Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry, you're right.
- 1:21:40Carmen Lezeth: Let me be respectful.
- 1:21:42Tony D.: Let's stay the controversy.
- 1:21:43Tony D.: No, honestly, it was his podcast.
- 1:21:46Tony D.: I came on.
- 1:21:47Tony D.: Most people that he had on there our parents, the sports talk started.
- 1:21:51Tony D.: When he's actually trying to help me and JoJo push the last change that we do.
- 1:21:55Tony D.: In my opinion, We've had fun.
- 1:21:57Tony D.: All of us are in the leagues together.
- 1:21:58Tony D.: I originally planned mine to be me and Brian.
- 1:22:03Tony D.: Brian's schedule changed.
- 1:22:06Tony D.: He was also pushing JoJo to do his own thing, so he started doing his combat sports and people love his stuff.
- 1:22:13Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, Let me tell you, JoJo's my favorite.
- 1:22:15Carmen Lezeth: How do you guys?
- 1:22:16Carmen Lezeth: I'm not trying to be rude.
- 1:22:17Tony D.: That's because you're tired of us.
- 1:22:18Tony D.: I'm not falling for that.
- 1:22:19Tony D.: I'm not tired of you guys.
- 1:22:20Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying because he has a, there's a, because this is the thing he has a rhythm.
- 1:22:26Carmen Lezeth: Yes, and Cynthia, I don't know if you've ever listened to JoJo, but I had to have a full on conversation with.
- 1:22:31Carmen Lezeth: I'm like are you Latino?
- 1:22:32Carmen Lezeth: Because there's like a little.
- 1:22:33Carmen Lezeth: He's like nah man, I just grew up in Brooklyn and like around a lot of Latinos.
- 1:22:39Tony D.: This is how you do it.
- 1:22:41Tony D.: Listen, he's from the Bronx.
- 1:22:42Carmen Lezeth: Oh, bronx.
- 1:22:42Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry, but the way he said it I was like he's from the Bronx, it doesn't matter.
- 1:22:47Carmen Lezeth: The whole point is he is Latin.
- 1:22:49Carmen Lezeth: Like he can come to our cookout.
- 1:22:51Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:22:52Carmen Lezeth: Like he can come to our cookout because he's so like.
- 1:22:56Carmen Lezeth: There is just something rhythmic about his boys.
- 1:22:58Carmen Lezeth: I think JoJo's badass.
- 1:23:00Carmen Lezeth: I really like them.
- 1:23:01Carmen Lezeth: I don't care about wrestling, but I will listen to him and tea.
- 1:23:04Tony D.: Well, he's not doing wrestling, he does.
- 1:23:07Tony D.: Um, I'm going to say UFC.
- 1:23:08Tony D.: I'm going to say UFC, he does UFC.
- 1:23:10Carmen Lezeth: I don't listen to that, I'm just kidding.
- 1:23:12Carmen Lezeth: I was just trying to get you jealous, but clearly you don't give a fuck.
- 1:23:14Carmen Lezeth: You're like whatever.
- 1:23:17Tony D.: Clearly you don't give a fuck.
- 1:23:20Carmen Lezeth: Because it went like this.
- 1:23:21Carmen Lezeth: It was so funny.
- 1:23:24Tony D.: But nah, it's been.
- 1:23:24Carmen Lezeth: UFC.
- 1:23:26Tony D.: It's been fun because it's helped push mine.
- 1:23:28Tony D.: It's helped push Ted's, because when we all get there, we already know we're going to be a minute, because Ted used to do just 30 minutes and that was it we done.
- 1:23:36Tony D.: Yeah, I was like cool Because.
- 1:23:37Carmen Lezeth: I can take it down.
- 1:23:38Carmen Lezeth: We're almost 30 minutes, I forgot.
- 1:23:41Tony D.: Tom Flaas, when you have, we try to be quiet when I know your time.
- 1:23:43Tony D.: But no, we're in a lounge, get it all out.
- 1:23:48Rick Costa: I will say one thing, though Tony has always been a person that is very well liked.
- 1:23:52Rick Costa: Um people, you know, they would rally around him all the time.
- 1:23:55Rick Costa: They called him the mayor of Haps.
- 1:23:57Rick Costa: Um, so it's like, you know, I just can't, but to me it's like.
- 1:24:00Rick Costa: It's like, with all that, what is stopping him from being more consistency?
- 1:24:05Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, Consistency branding.
- 1:24:10Carmen Lezeth: Let me tell you, knowing, knowing what his skills are knowing what he's good at knowing what he brings to the table.
- 1:24:18Carmen Lezeth: He doesn't know that he does not know.
- 1:24:20Carmen Lezeth: He says he knows but he does not know.
- 1:24:23Carmen Lezeth: No, you do not.
- 1:24:23Carmen Lezeth: And a fucking Mike would help.
- 1:24:25Carmen Lezeth: If you'd get a fucking mic, People would like you more.
- 1:24:29Carmen Lezeth: You owe me a hundred dollars.
- 1:24:30Carmen Lezeth: So buy a goddamn Mike.
- 1:24:31Carmen Lezeth: You owe me a hundred dollars.
- 1:24:34Carmen Lezeth: I've never come to Calif.
- 1:24:37Carmen Lezeth: Stop doing nobody.
- 1:24:38Carmen Lezeth: Let's not help me.
- 1:24:38Carmen Lezeth: It's not even working.
- 1:24:39Carmen Lezeth: Like you keep doing that, Like that's like you could talk into this.
- 1:24:43Rick Costa: I'll unplug this.
- 1:24:43Carmen Lezeth: It's not working, because when you went like this, you got really louder you got really loud.
- 1:24:47Tony D.: when you talk like this, you need a mic.
- 1:24:48Rick Costa: Okay, you owe me a hundred dollars.
- 1:24:49Rick Costa: I'm not going to be like this.
- 1:24:50Rick Costa: I'm not going to be like this.
- 1:24:51Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to be like this.
- 1:24:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to be like this.
- 1:24:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to be like this.
- 1:24:56Carmen Lezeth: It's not.
- 1:24:56Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to be like that.
- 1:24:58Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to be like this.
- 1:25:00Carmen Lezeth: You owe me a hundred dollars.
- 1:25:01Carmen Lezeth: We'll send you a link to a mic.
- 1:25:02Carmen Lezeth: Can you send them a link to him?
- 1:25:03Carmen Lezeth: I don't believe that, yeah, you need to buy a mic.
- 1:25:05Carmen Lezeth: I'm telling you that would help so much Because it is, it is the um.
- 1:25:13Carmen Lezeth: Whatever it is, it is your voice too, you have a.
- 1:25:16Carmen Lezeth: Better tone Whatever voice, and you talk very low.
- 1:25:25Carmen Lezeth: So but I do think it's branding.
- 1:25:28Carmen Lezeth: I think it's about consistency.
- 1:25:30Carmen Lezeth: It's not about multiple places, it's about like like here's the thing, whether you like my show or not, when am I on?
- 1:25:39Tony D.: Thursday nights Nine o'clock most people 66 Pacific time.
- 1:25:47Tony D.: Right, what six o'clock, no, but this is what I'm saying.
- 1:25:51Carmen Lezeth: But my point is even people who don't listen to the show, even Alden would tell you Thursday nights six o'clock.
- 1:25:57Carmen Lezeth: I got it, we just say it.
- 1:26:00Carmen Lezeth: He gets annoyed.
- 1:26:01Carmen Lezeth: So that's what you want and like you want to post your podcast at the same time, no matter what, like even if I have to be up at three in the morning editing that stupid podcast, so that it will not three because it comes on at three for you guys at 6 am On the on the east coast.
- 1:26:17Carmen Lezeth: So I have to post it by 3 am.
- 1:26:19Carmen Lezeth: Even I make sure it's on there because I know that there's like four people, for whatever reason, that listen to that damn thing.
- 1:26:27Carmen Lezeth: On Sunday when I go, because I go look and it's like four people have already downloaded it, just four on the.
- 1:26:34Carmen Lezeth: So I'm like I'm not gonna lose those ones.
- 1:26:36Carmen Lezeth: And then during the week I don't know when people listen to it, but I can tell that I.
- 1:26:45Carmen Lezeth: He's so cute.
- 1:26:46Carmen Lezeth: It's not about you being loud, it's the sea like.
- 1:26:58Carmen Lezeth: Now you're close, we can hear you.
- 1:27:03Rick Costa: Whatever other microphone you have, that's what's working right, like I'm not being super loud.
- 1:27:07Carmen Lezeth: You just think I'm not, cuz you can hear me, because I actually own a mic.
- 1:27:12Carmen Lezeth: No, cynthia, what are you using?
- 1:27:16Carmen Lezeth: Just my phone and your phone works yeah he's not on the phone.
- 1:27:20Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, we're Android people.
- 1:27:24Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, we have the better phone.
- 1:27:32Tony D.: I'm sorry.
- 1:27:32Cynthia: She has an extra mic.
- 1:27:33Cynthia: I have an extra mic, I can send it to you.
- 1:27:37Tony D.: I'll look at a deal sometimes.
- 1:27:41Carmen Lezeth: Here's.
- 1:27:41Carmen Lezeth: You know what I?
- 1:27:42Carmen Lezeth: I do think it would matter.
- 1:27:43Carmen Lezeth: I do think it matters.
- 1:27:44Carmen Lezeth: It would be so much easier to hear you, and also for editing and the other side.
- 1:27:48Carmen Lezeth: But I think you should get consistent on a regular day, whatever it is, one show, no matter what.
- 1:27:55Carmen Lezeth: You're gonna be there.
- 1:27:56Carmen Lezeth: Start your branding.
- 1:27:57Carmen Lezeth: You know what about you, rick?
- 1:27:59Carmen Lezeth: Have we come up with your elevator pitch yet?
- 1:28:01Carmen Lezeth: I?
- 1:28:02Rick Costa: Mean no, but I got consistency down.
- 1:28:04Rick Costa: I'm always on every day years, but not the concern.
- 1:28:11Carmen Lezeth: But but your struggle is what it's not a struggle.
- 1:28:15Carmen Lezeth: I was just, you know, I was listening to people like I, our struggle, your struggle, is you want more viewers.
- 1:28:21Rick Costa: I mean it'll be nice to reach more people.
- 1:28:23Rick Costa: It's not because I want the numbers I wish would like be nice to reach more.
- 1:28:27Carmen Lezeth: It's okay to have.
- 1:28:28Carmen Lezeth: I want to help more people.
- 1:28:29Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm trying to say, like it's okay to monetize, you know it's okay to want to make a living doing something you love and enjoy.
- 1:28:35Rick Costa: I get that, I get that so tell Cynthia what you do.
- 1:28:39Cynthia: He's trying to be humble.
- 1:28:41Carmen Lezeth: Bullshit humble because it's a mastery right.
- 1:28:44Carmen Lezeth: That's the bullshit humbles.
- 1:28:45Carmen Lezeth: That's why I'm annoyed by it.
- 1:28:47Carmen Lezeth: That's that Christian humble.
- 1:28:48Carmen Lezeth: That's bullshit.
- 1:28:49Rick Costa: It's not the real shit but the our conversation offline last night definitely Was a little bit eye-opening.
- 1:28:57Rick Costa: I mean, it was for you because you said so, karm, but I was also for me.
- 1:29:01Carmen Lezeth: What did I say?
- 1:29:02Carmen Lezeth: Why are you throwing the?
- 1:29:02Carmen Lezeth: What did I say?
- 1:29:03Rick Costa: Don't because because like, but I would okay.
- 1:29:06Rick Costa: Sorry, we're gonna use this word again on Periscope.
- 1:29:08Rick Costa: People would say, like see, you're different, you're not like.
- 1:29:11Rick Costa: I thought like you think differently, you believe differently, and I didn't.
- 1:29:14Rick Costa: You're not what I expected.
- 1:29:15Rick Costa: Atheists would even tell me that and atheists would literally watch, watch with me.
- 1:29:19Rick Costa: I'm like, wow, so I Don't know.
- 1:29:23Cynthia: No, I'm trying to say, but wait, carmen, did you send him the video?
- 1:29:26Cynthia: I sent you.
- 1:29:28Carmen Lezeth: What video did you send me?
- 1:29:28Carmen Lezeth: What the one last?
- 1:29:30Carmen Lezeth: Night yeah.
- 1:29:30Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 1:29:33Carmen Lezeth: The Latina woman?
- 1:29:34Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I didn't.
- 1:29:35Carmen Lezeth: Why would I send it?
- 1:29:36Carmen Lezeth: Why didn't you send it to him, cuz I don't have his information?
- 1:29:39Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, it's really we're gonna send you a.
- 1:29:43Carmen Lezeth: Thing no, no, it's a tick tock.
- 1:29:45Carmen Lezeth: She wanted to send you a tick tock.
- 1:29:49Cynthia: I did so.
- 1:29:49Cynthia: It's a Puerto Rican woman who is doing a conference.

- 1:30:53Carmen Lezeth: Wait, why can't I see the videos now?
- 1:30:55Rick Costa: You probably have to hit play to make it.
- 1:30:57Rick Costa: Yeah, there you go.
- 1:30:58Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, these are from 2021.

- 1:31:09Rick Costa: You gotta scroll all the way down.
- 1:31:11Cynthia: Yeah, all the way to like the end.
- 1:31:15Carmen Lezeth: Basically, yeah, but you know, when I just looked it up it was right there, and then when I put it on here, it went to oh my lord, you know what I mean.
- 1:31:24Carmen Lezeth: Like it went to the Top, can you?
- 1:31:26Rick Costa: can you put the mouse on that thing and just drag it down?
- 1:31:29Rick Costa: Be a lot faster if you could.
- 1:31:31Carmen Lezeth: I can't seal there it is.
- 1:31:32Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, I can.

- 1:31:50TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: This is my first time to live church, so I know I might be a little crazy to some, but let me invite you into my crazy.
- 1:31:56TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: I would go to my grandmother's house my Puerto Rican grandmother's house and she would serve me a cup of coffee and would sit there and watch her shows.
- 1:32:04TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: I was sick drinking coffee and watching soap operas.
- 1:32:07TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Okay, welcome to Hispanic culture.
- 1:32:09TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Now I go to grandma's house and when I say soap operas, many of you at all the locations are thinking ah, general hospital, one life to live, young and the restless.
- 1:32:20TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: But, when I say soap operas, it's different friends.
- 1:32:22TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: It's something called novellas, next level crazy.
- 1:32:27TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: So to make sure we're on the same page, let's do a side-by-side comparison.
- 1:32:31TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: In an American soap opera, a woman with fair skin, blonde hair, light eyes, light makeup, bare minerals or something Svelte's waist and thighs that definitely don't touch she's gonna look at her forlorn lover and say but John, I Love you, please don't leave.
- 1:32:49TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: And in the novella, somebody comes in with ten pounds of makeup, big old hoop earrings, a very tight dress and Thighs that touch, coming like a bat out of hell, and say Shoot, that's so true.
- 1:33:15TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: No, boo, boo, you boring, okay.
- 1:33:23TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Well, so as we take a look at this, this, this love poetry letter between a man and a woman, scholars believe it is King Solomon and his wife Abishah.
- 1:33:34TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: And Abishah, she's not from the palace, y'all, she's from the south side of the kingdom, she's from Midtown, tulsa location, shout out.
- 1:33:44TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: So she's a little crazy.
- 1:33:47TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: We're gonna find out that she got dark skin.
- 1:33:48TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: So when my mind die, she got dark skin, big old hoop earrings.
- 1:33:51TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: She's like the biblical Cardi B.
- 1:33:53TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: And now I want to read this Diving to God's word, like it's a novella.
- 1:33:58TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, please, is a fragrance of your perfume.
- 1:34:09TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Your name is like perfume poured out the wonder that your women love you.
- 1:34:14TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Oh, take me away with you.
- 1:34:18TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: Let us hurry Right now.
- 1:34:26TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: It's different now is different, modern romance okay.
- 1:34:30TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: And then her click, her crew, her posse rise up and affirm her and they say hey girl, hey, we rejoice in you, we rejoice in the.
- 1:34:38TikTok Video - Bianca Juarez: I'm mexico reekin Right.
- 1:34:44Cynthia: Right.
- 1:34:46Carmen Lezeth: I love that, I mean, but she has a brand.
- 1:34:49Carmen Lezeth: She brings a uniqueness to it and, whether or not I believe in anything that she said, I was gonna listen because I connected to her.
- 1:34:57Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, you were engaged in it, I was engaged in it, and that's what branding is.
- 1:35:02Carmen Lezeth: That is what knowing who your audience is Okay.
- 1:35:06Carmen Lezeth: But while we're here, can we look at one, gary V, so we can Show him?
- 1:35:11Carmen Lezeth: I don't know which one is, which I think I sent you three of them, oh, I like the first one which was the first one?
- 1:35:17Cynthia: I don't remember.
- 1:35:18Cynthia: Just do it, yeah, yeah.
- 1:35:19Cynthia: Somebody's listening to this podcast right now.
- 1:35:21TikTok Video - Gary Vee: I promise you, her number one challenge is not expanding her world enough Worrying about the judgment of people when you walk into new environments.

- 1:35:52TikTok Video - Gary Vee: You don't.
- 1:35:53TikTok Video - Gary Vee: Somebody's listening to this podcast right now.
- 1:35:55TikTok Video - Gary Vee: I promise you, her number one challenge is not expanding her world enough.
- 1:35:59Rick Costa: Yeah, that's it.
- 1:36:02Carmen Lezeth: That's him.
- 1:36:02Carmen Lezeth: That's him for Tony.
- 1:36:05Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah, anyways.
- 1:36:08Carmen Lezeth: But, tony, you've never heard of Gary V.
- 1:36:09Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you should follow him.
- 1:36:13Carmen Lezeth: I think you would like him, and he's a big sports guy with your Bitcoin and crap, shit.
- 1:36:17Carmen Lezeth: But, rick, I think, I mean, I think that's a great example, you know, of kind of what I think you need to do.
- 1:36:29Cynthia: Like, are you being?
- 1:36:33Carmen Lezeth: That was, but that was so part and you know what, the way she, I, I mean, I think what I think I told you they, rick, what bothers me about your show and I know that you're on a gray line there a little bit is Some of the stuff you talk about.
- 1:36:47Carmen Lezeth: I don't.
- 1:36:47Carmen Lezeth: I know you believe it, but not the way in which it's being interpreted by people.
- 1:36:51Carmen Lezeth: But you're doing that because they need to hear the boring Christian Jesus, lily white crap, whereas the truth is the reason why I get along with this, because I know that you don't believe that's stuff.
- 1:37:05Carmen Lezeth: Itch does that.
- 1:37:06Carmen Lezeth: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:37:07Carmen Lezeth: Like I, nothing.
- 1:37:08Carmen Lezeth: You don't believe the Bible and stuff.
- 1:37:09Carmen Lezeth: But you see what I'm saying late, I Couldn't have an honest conversation with you on the live stream about Gay men or transgender or Latino or racism or the n-word or whatever, because I know it'll offend your Listeners, who I know watch and listen to our show.
- 1:37:26Carmen Lezeth: Hmm, that's a weird tiptoeing place and I wonder if you were more you Whatever that means like her, if you would have a whole different audience but a lot more people, people.
- 1:37:40Carmen Lezeth: Generation oh, different generation Say that again expand.
- 1:37:47Carmen Lezeth: I love that.
- 1:37:50Cynthia: Because I mean, that's exactly what she's doing.
- 1:37:51Cynthia: She's, you know, trying to get the younger generation to understand.
- 1:37:54Cynthia: So obviously they understand Cardi B, so she's gonna make them get into it as well.
- 1:37:59Carmen Lezeth: So I think, doing that yeah, like maybe there's a little bit too much old-fashioned in you that is sticking to that old I always say Catholic mode of Christianity.
- 1:38:12Carmen Lezeth: That I think is complete bullshit.
- 1:38:13Carmen Lezeth: Right, I do not in the way that.
- 1:38:17Carmen Lezeth: What's his name?
- 1:38:17Carmen Lezeth: Those two crazy people I won't say the name because I'm remembering that we're recording but people on haps who used to just be completely crazy about your Christianity, even though you ain't bothering nobody.
- 1:38:30Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean and it's like I Think people crave authenticity.
- 1:38:37Cynthia: And no one can fight with authenticity, all right.
- 1:38:39Cynthia: I Went this far.
- 1:38:45Cynthia: Tony Tony's busy Tony.
- 1:38:45Cynthia: What show you going on next?
- 1:38:46Carmen Lezeth: I've been quiet because I know your time frame.
- 1:38:48Carmen Lezeth: That's when I start getting quiet.
- 1:38:50Tony D.: My time frame.
- 1:38:51Tony D.: I was just having a good conversation.
- 1:38:52Tony D.: We were on last night.
- 1:38:53Tony D.: For how long?
- 1:38:55Carmen Lezeth: Like almost two hours.
- 1:38:55Carmen Lezeth: It was crazy and that's like you know what.
- 1:38:57Carmen Lezeth: This is how we came up with this plan to kind of do this is to just have a real calm.
- 1:39:02Carmen Lezeth: Don't you feel better?
- 1:39:03Carmen Lezeth: Having a real conversation Is to just have a real calm.
- 1:39:07Carmen Lezeth: Don't you feel better having a conversation like this?
- 1:39:10Tony D.: I enjoy doing this.
- 1:39:11Tony D.: I appreciate the invite.
- 1:39:12Tony D.: Honestly, I do appreciate them fight.
- 1:39:14Tony D.: I'm good with doing this.
- 1:39:16Tony D.: It doesn't bother, I love doing these.
- 1:39:18Carmen Lezeth: No, I know you do, but I mean without doing the live stream with the comments on the side.
- 1:39:22Tony D.: No, I look forward to the comments.
- 1:39:23Tony D.: I almost want to apologize to you, because I was one of the guys like you should do something and the audience helps and the audience Management is driving you crazy.
- 1:39:29Tony D.: This works better for you.
- 1:39:30Tony D.: I'm good, I'm gonna do both.
- 1:39:32Carmen Lezeth: This is the.
- 1:39:33Carmen Lezeth: This is gonna be like the after lounge kind of thing I'm doing.
- 1:39:36Carmen Lezeth: I'm doing three things.
- 1:39:37Carmen Lezeth: This is the Invite only kind of separate thing.
- 1:39:40Carmen Lezeth: No, we're always gonna have the Thursday night show.
- 1:39:42Carmen Lezeth: This is just gonna be the.
- 1:39:43Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna do this as the podcast, though I'm gonna make this the audio, cuz it's so much easier, because part of what happened with my audience I don't know about your audience, but is when we have all the comments going on, then we have to turn around and I have to edit all those out, because when you're listening to it you don't understand that people are talking in the Comment section, unless we're like and in the comment section Brian just said you know, and I got.
- 1:40:14Carmen Lezeth: I got that feedback from somebody else who listened to the show good.
- 1:40:18Tony D.: So you, you listen to your audience and do that please.
- 1:40:21Carmen Lezeth: It's a different audience.
- 1:40:22Carmen Lezeth: The podcast audience is different than the.
- 1:40:26Tony D.: I get.
- 1:40:26Tony D.: So if you got a way to do what you do and draw more people doing it a different way to you, kind of similarizing the two but you're expanding it, go with it.
- 1:40:35Carmen Lezeth: You know what I love that he does?
- 1:40:36Carmen Lezeth: He makes up words.
- 1:40:37Carmen Lezeth: Did you just say similarizing I Living color?
- 1:40:46Carmen Lezeth: Remember what's his name?
- 1:40:49Rick Costa: Oh yeah, I'm philosophizing, Jail.
- 1:41:07Tony D.: He was amazing that's Damon way, is he was.
- 1:41:12Carmen Lezeth: All the way, brothers, though, come on.

- 1:41:29Tony D.: He did any and everything.
- 1:41:30Tony D.: It didn't matter.

- 1:42:13Tony D.: I didn't know it, but to me I Kind of watch acting.
- 1:42:20Tony D.: I mean, I'd be in your level but I watch acting David.

- 1:42:44Carmen Lezeth: Yes, he was.
- 1:42:45Tony D.: He was going for it and I hate he didn't make it what he was supposed to.
- 1:42:51Carmen Lezeth: So, that has a lot to do with our society right and racism and not being ready for it.
- 1:42:55Carmen Lezeth: I mean, that's what has to do it.

- 1:43:00Carmen Lezeth: I mean I just said why didn't in living color last?
- 1:43:05Carmen Lezeth: I know I watched it religiously but it didn't last because it was for, made for by Black people and people of color and it's just.
- 1:43:14Carmen Lezeth: But it is one.
- 1:43:15Carmen Lezeth: Even if you watch any of it now, if you go on YouTube, it still holds up today because it's so funny, mm-hmm.
- 1:43:21Rick Costa: Yeah, no, they sponsor Bob Pac friend.
- 1:43:24Rick Costa: They come up when you cook them.
- 1:43:25Rick Costa: So, oh my god.

- 1:43:54Carmen Lezeth: I sent it to you, rick, like when that guy sent me this that whole Christmas thing, the YouTube thing, the guy from Houston that I worked with and I forwarded to you and I did, I watched it out of Respect because he said it to me, somebody who works for one of my clients and he's part of this huge what's the name of a Rick?
