- 2:00All it takes is a drink, folks. Yeah, honestly so excited for
- 2:03this weekend. Going to see so many friends.
- 2:06We're going to be costumed up. What kind of costumed up.
- 2:08We're going to be giving Medieval Times.
- 2:11Medieval time. That's not medieval, that's
- 2:13French a the French French. Time is relative.
- 2:18Time happens at the same. There is no past present in our
- 2:21future. Time is just always now.
- 2:23I am the future. Or there is no time.
- 2:27If I think about how small we are in the world, I get scared.
- 2:30I honestly, I know what you mean.
- 2:32Or you're just like, wow, we're like, we're like insignificant.
- 2:36But it's pretty sick that like, you know, you were chosen.
- 2:41You were a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a
- 2:46fraction of a fraction of. I don't know how.
- 2:48Of everything that exists. Everything that but you're here
- 2:50though, you know. Not even the world, the
- 2:51universe. The universe and the universe
- 2:53itself is good. Jillian times mass.
- 2:55I know we are so. And life is so short and.
- 2:58Life is so short, so short. That people die and they come
- 3:03back. In certain non proven, non
- 3:11scientifically proven events technically right?
- 3:15I believe in ghosts, if that's what you're saying.
- 3:18I believe in ghosts. Just because it's not
- 3:20scientifically proven doesn't mean that shit isn't real.
- 3:23True because who are the? Who are the scientists?
- 3:26Huh, I've never seen one. Have you ever met a scientist?
- 3:29I've only met a chemist. That's more than.
- 3:32That's more than one more than I know.
- 3:34No, technically, I know. I know that you've met a
- 3:35chemist. Yeah, I've met a chemist.
- 3:36You play Fortnite with a chemist?
- 3:37Yeah. Yeah, and I've met him on
- 3:38multiple occasions. Yeah, he's pretty cool.
- 3:40Yeah, well, he's he's the exception.
- 3:42He's cool, but other scientists anyways we should.
- 3:45Ask him if he believes believes in ghosts.
- 3:47He really should. Guys, we are coming back at you
- 3:50with the the paranormal. We we've been gone too long.
- 3:53We're back. We're tapping into our roots of
- 3:55being into the occult. The Spooky Bros the.
- 3:59Spooky Bros Spooky boys the Spooky.
- 4:01Boys, we're at this point, we're like deals because like, no,
- 4:05we're not even boys, We're old man.
- 4:07So we got to be spooky deals, you know?
- 4:09Say that I am the last of the millennials to turn 30.
- 4:14I was watching a whole TikTok about that. 96 is the last year
- 4:18for millennials and once we turn 30, that's it.
- 4:21Millennials are all 30 and up. You know what's crazy?
- 4:24When I would be like, I would be like a teenager and I'd be like
- 4:2701990 like you're next. Like you're they're into the 30s
- 4:31and now it's like 6 years later. Yep, and Jerry's not far, I
- 4:35mean. I can see the finish line.
- 4:37You're 28, you're going to be 28.
- 4:41You're barely going to be 20, friend.
- 4:43I feel like a cradle robber as just being your friend.
- 4:47Many people do. I'm gonna start surrounding
- 4:49myself amongst all Wilder people to just feel young.
- 4:52I mean, I kind of already have but.
- 4:54What are you trying to say? You don't want to hang out
- 4:56anymore? I mean, my knees don't crack
- 4:58that much. Don't.
- 5:00That's that's below the belt. Please.
- 5:05This is supposed to be a fun time.
- 5:06Take your vitamins, folks. Take your vitamins.
- 5:09Stretch. Aw fuck, I do that.
- 5:11A stretch. You got to stretch, guys.
- 5:13I do have to stretch. Guys, my friend Jesse, he goes
- 5:15on TikTok live almost every morning and he just does a
- 5:17little stretch while we're watching goals, No.
- 5:20And it looks painful. He's like a very bit and he's
- 5:24there like struggling to do these stretches.
- 5:26There's no hope for us. We're we're, we're done for.
- 5:29We're too far gone at this point.
- 5:31Then we just eat the banana bread.
- 5:34So that's what I'm going. To do right now.
- 5:36Fucking banana. Bread.
- 5:37Oh my God. Hell yeah.
- 5:39Anyways, you know what else is? Hell Yeah.
- 5:42What Ghosts. Ghosts.
- 5:44OK, I stayed previously before we took a wild detour.
- 5:48We are going to come back at you with a lot of supernatural ghost
- 5:54stories. We are working on some things
- 5:56for you guys to bring you some ghost stories from our friends
- 5:59that is finally in the works. I know we've been talking about
- 6:01it all the time. We finally had a set of friends
- 6:04who said we've got a ghost story for you and it's coming.
- 6:08Yeah. But until then, we're we did a
- 6:11little research. We didn't this week.
- 6:12I guess we didn't. I am very excited to present
- 6:16this, but do you want to flip a coin?
- 6:18And you want to ask the ghosts on who's going to go first?
- 6:20No simple coin. OK, we'll flip a coin.
- 6:22I don't want to deal with the ghosts.
- 6:24I already had that weird experience the whole.
- 6:26Don't worry, we'll get to that. All right.
- 6:28What do you want? I want head.
- 6:31All right, Hey Siri, flip a coin, she said.
- 6:37Uh huh. It's heads.
- 6:42Oh, I go first. Fuck you guys, it is.
- 6:46Australian Siri too, so. Fuck, how many of you are
- 6:51familiar with the Ouija board? The Luigi board?
- 6:56No, no, no, no, not the Luigi board.
- 6:58The Oui oui, back to the French. The Ouija.
- 7:01Board the what? The what at that point?
- 7:08So Luigi board. I'm scared of it.
- 7:09Are you scared of it? I'm.
- 7:10Pretty terrified of it, yeah. What if I told you like?
- 7:14You have one right now. No, no, that it wasn't.
- 7:16That's scary to begin with, Yeah.
- 7:17Yeah, Yeah. OK.
- 7:18I mean, I can, You know what, what's the only thing that I
- 7:22like know of it, you can go to like a Walmart or a Target or a
- 7:25gas store to buy it. Hasbro sells it.
- 7:27There you go, Hasbro. That is in a let me, let me tell
- 7:30you a little bit of history about the Ouija board and where
- 7:33it's stems. From Tell me more, Tell me more.
- 7:36So the Ouija board was first introduced to customers in 1890
- 7:40by the Kennard Novelty Company, 1st called the Wonderful Talking
- 7:44Board, the cardboard slab had a very similar layout to what we
- 7:47are familiar with today. It featured letters sprawled
- 7:50across the board along with the numbers and the words yes, no
- 7:53and goodbye. It also came with the triangular
- 7:56pointer, which appeared to move on its own across the board to
- 7:58spell out messages from the beyond.
- 8:01National Geographic states that in the past 130 years, it has
- 8:05transformed from a quirky pastime into a symbol of
- 8:08supernatural mystery, evolving into both a cultural icon and a
- 8:11source of fascination. Where did the idea for the tool
- 8:15come from? Spirit boards can be traced back
- 8:17to the modern spiritualist movement of the 1840s.
- 8:20According to the BBCUK, modern spiritualism dates back to 1848
- 8:25when the Fox Sisters of Hydesville, New York produced
- 8:28knocking sounds that were alleged to be spirit messages
- 8:31from beyond the grave. Maggie and Katie Fox had moved
- 8:35into their new home with their family in New York.
- 8:38Not long after settling in, the family began hearing mysterious
- 8:41rapping noises that seemed unexplainable at the time.
- 8:43They soon convinced themselves that it must be some sort of
- 8:46entity and began a clap and snap to elicit a response.
- 8:50It ultimately did. Oh fuck.
- 8:52Soon a simple code of communication was set up between
- 8:55the Fox sisters and the Invisible Spirit who apparently
- 8:58recited in their home. With time, Maggie and Kate
- 9:01learned the spirit who made these rapping noises was that of
- 9:04a murdered peddler whose remains were buried in the cellar of the
- 9:06home. Hell no.
- 9:08The sisters became overnight celebrities and caused an
- 9:11unprecedented explosion in the existence of the supernatural.
- 9:15The the belief of the supernatural, that is.
- 9:17While tests carried out in 1851 that debunked their theories,
- 9:21the movement continued to gain momentum.
- 9:23In 1888, the sisters did finally reveal that they faked the whole
- 9:26thing. However, Maggie later recounted
- 9:29the confession and returned to the promotion of spiritualism.
- 9:32They fully just said, oh, we hear these noises, we're going
- 9:36to try and mimic them back. And allegedly that they got a
- 9:40response. Allegedly, allegedly because
- 9:42they said we were just kidding. And then 180.
- 9:45No, no, it was true. That confession, it was fake.
- 9:48They put, they put us up to it. That's.
- 9:49Crazy. Also, what do you think a
- 9:51rapping sound is like? They start rapping.
- 9:55That's what I figured. Like, there's no way they're
- 9:57wrapping in the 1840s. Like, they're wrapping sound
- 9:59like it was like a crumple of paper.
- 10:01Like, I'm thinking it's like a scratch on a wall.
- 10:03OK. What if they had rats?
- 10:07Maybe. Maybe.
- 10:08Yeah. And they would be like, screwing
- 10:09through the walls and stuff. And then you're doing a little
- 10:11snap, snap, click, click, like near the area.
- 10:13What are you going to do, scare the rat?
- 10:15Exactly. It's going to keep doing it.
- 10:17Dang. Spiritualism took off due to the
- 10:20belief that it was possible to communicate with loved ones who
- 10:22had passed. Spiritualism became fashionable.
- 10:25Social events began to OU in which people would gather and
- 10:28attempt to speak with the dead. These gatherings would feature
- 10:31psychic mediums, seances, tarot card readings, along with these
- 10:35talking boards. In this era, the Ouija board was
- 10:38seen with whimsy and hopefulness, a tool that could
- 10:40bring your loved ones back for a casual conversation.
- 10:42Spiritualism saw a major spike in popularity after events of
- 10:46mass death such as World War One and the 1918 flu Endemic in the
- 10:511920's, the board was synonymous with romance as it was used as a
- 10:54fun dating tool where couples would use it as an excuse to sit
- 10:57close to one another. This act is referenced in a
- 11:00painting by Norman Rockwell featured on an issue of Saturday
- 11:03Evening Post. So what changed?
- 11:07The Satanic Panic began to take hold of American Society and the
- 11:11public opinion of the board took a drastic turn by the late
- 11:141960's. The exact moment the tides
- 11:17turned against the Ouija board was with the release of The
- 11:19Exorcist in 1973. That'll do it.
- 11:22Everything goes back to The Exorcist.
- 11:24It does. What did we talk about?
- 11:26Like so many episodes back? Probably one of the first I had.
- 11:31Was it? Yeah, 'cause I think like.
- 11:33Possession. I think possession 'cause.
- 11:34I think we talked about possession.
- 11:35I had talked about Annabelle and I think you talked about the the
- 11:39steps of yeah. Oh, and the steps of possession.
- 11:42Yes. Everything goes back to The
- 11:44Exorcist, which is crazy. The film features a scene in
- 11:47which a child is playing with a board and ends up possessed by a
- 11:50demon. Until now, the Ouija board
- 11:52continues to be synonymous with the occult, with a very few
- 11:55people brave enough to give it a try.
- 11:57They had a Ouija board in the Queen Mary.
- 12:00Yes, they did in. The fucking closet.
- 12:02We wanted nothing to do with it. Nope.
- 12:04We, we did our best. I think we, we were brave enough
- 12:07to get to the entrance of the closet and we put in the AMF
- 12:11reader inside. But in like, in terms of like
- 12:14touching it or like playing with it like.
- 12:15Now, have you been around a Ouija board?
- 12:18Like do you know anyone who has one?
- 12:19I don't know anyone who has one. I mean, I want to say that no,
- 12:24dude, I don't think, I don't think I've ever been in front of
- 12:26one or like a round one. That's surprising because there
- 12:32is so many Ouija boards just out and about in people's homes and
- 12:37their closets buried somewhere in their garage, passed down
- 12:43from family to family. Because the game itself, the
- 12:47board game, was super popular before The Exorcist in 1967.
- 12:54The Ouija board outsold the Monopoly.
- 12:57They sold more copies of the Ouija board than they did
- 12:59Monopoly in that Monopoly. Man, guess how many of these
- 13:02old. Over a billion. 2 million, Dang
- 13:05it, 2 million copies. I was going to.
- 13:07Which is why they are so easily attainable in any scary movie
- 13:10you've seen. They're like, we got one in the
- 13:12garage. We have like 500.
- 13:14Yeah, girl, go get the Ouija board.
- 13:15We're going to we're going to do a seance tonight.
- 13:18That I have. Like I've seen them at Toys-R-Us
- 13:20when I was growing up. I've seen them at Target, I've
- 13:22seen them at Walmart. I have seen them in stores and
- 13:26like growing up, you're like, why are they here?
- 13:27Like how? How are they selling this?
- 13:30Because it used to be a fun party game.
- 13:32It's. Just a Hasbro game board.
- 13:33That's fucking crazy, I didn't know that.
- 13:35Right I my mind was a little blown like people use this as a
- 13:38fun little ha ha like let's talk to the dead but then it takes 1
- 13:43scene of a child getting possessed that people are like
- 13:46fuck this. And I think, and I think it's
- 13:49just like that. I mean, not saying it's, it's
- 13:52not real, not saying that I'm sure there was like maybe some
- 13:55specific because it's inspired by true events, right?
- 13:58I think we we. The movie Yes, The Exorcist is
- 14:00allegedly inspired by. Whether that whether that scene
- 14:03happened with the boy or not, with the board getting possessed
- 14:05and stuff, I mean, it's still like, in a way it's kind of like
- 14:09a social construct where it's just like people are giving it
- 14:11meaning and therefore the connotation behind it now is
- 14:15negative. Yeah, the popular opinion is
- 14:18like, this is the gateway to hell, yeah.
- 14:21Now, can many things be portals? Yes.
- 14:22We've, we've just like we've determined that throughout the
- 14:25Queen Mary through the research we've done, a lot of things can
- 14:27be portals. So can one of these be a portal?
- 14:29Absolutely, yeah. But I think it's the energy you
- 14:31put into. It it took one specific incident
- 14:34to just sour the taste for everyone.
- 14:36Yeah, but also a hugely popular film.
- 14:39Yeah. People are going to then just
- 14:41relate that scene too. Oh my God, that's the item we
- 14:44have in a freaking tub in the garage.
- 14:47Don't touch it. Yeah.
- 14:48Is it a is it a cult classic or The Exorcist is like or a cult
- 14:52classic? I had to.
- 14:57I was like how have you not seen this?
- 14:58Movie I had to I've seen the movie many times but yeah
- 15:00spinning and I've seen scary movies too the first time I
- 15:05watched it yeah that freaked me out like I just wasn't for me
- 15:08I'm like Nah, I'm. Good I I should rewatch it?
- 15:12I think I've seen it once. I think I watched it for a film
- 15:16class so I watched it at like 2 times speed because I did not
- 15:19want to sit there and watch movies for homework.
- 15:22As easy as that sounds. When they need you to like
- 15:24freaking analyze everything. I'm like when anything becomes
- 15:27no, I'm not interested anymore. I, I took, well, not to like go
- 15:33on a tangent, but I took a, a, a cinema class and we would watch
- 15:37movies and stuff. We would like not show up half
- 15:40of the time. But when we were in there, I was
- 15:41like, wow, this is fun. And then you remember it's an
- 15:43assignment. And then there's like follow up
- 15:45work. You're like, yeah, fuck that.
- 15:46Yeah, not for me. I liked it, it made me
- 15:49appreciate movies a lot more which is why I sadly enough I
- 15:52don't go to the movies that often.
- 15:53Still have my AMC Stubs, but I just don't see movies, but I
- 15:58love watching them. Like when I'm there, I'm like,
- 16:00Oh my God, I'm different now because I saw this movie.
- 16:02Like there's there's a new POV that just exists in my in my
- 16:07being now because I witnessed this.
- 16:09Yeah. OK, so let's talk let's talk
- 16:13about the Ouija board. How does it work?
- 16:14So. Thank you.
- 16:15I want to know. You have that little triangle
- 16:17thing that has like a little eye hole that tells you what letter
- 16:22you're supposed to spell out. OK, so you put your two fingers.
- 16:25OK, two fingers and two fingers on this little triangular piece
- 16:29looks kind of like a rocket ship.
- 16:30OK, not those two fingers. Those two fingers.
- 16:33Yes. And you lightly place your
- 16:36fingers and you ask questions, OK.
- 16:38And the theory goes that the things slide to reveal letters
- 16:46to answer the questions that you are asking the spirits.
- 16:49It's seen as a way to communicate, which I've heard
- 16:51there are many ways to communicate with the spirit,
- 16:53that being one of them. But then there's this whole like
- 16:57there's, there's rules. So you invited in ask it these
- 17:00questions, but you're supposed to leave having said goodbye.
- 17:04You know, when I said the layout, it said there's yes, no
- 17:06and goodbye. You have to end it with goodbye
- 17:09or you leave the portal open. However, however, researchers
- 17:17argue that that little dais and the movement is just a product
- 17:21of the ideal motor phenomenon, which is a psychological effect
- 17:26where people move objects unconsciously.
- 17:31It's like you're anticipating something that sort of happens.
- 17:36So I've never played with one. I don't know how easy it is or
- 17:39if you can separate the motor skill of you feeling like you're
- 17:43moving it and it moving by itself.
- 17:46I don't know. My instinct is like you would
- 17:48feel the tiniest bit like of muscle movement from your
- 17:52fingers to like, I feel like that's the case for me.
- 17:55Who knows, maybe this thing is on like super fine, like not
- 17:59Velcro like felt and it's just super easy to slide around and
- 18:03so I don't. Know the way I've seen it.
- 18:05Granted has only been in movies, so this can't be like the way it
- 18:08actually moves. It looks like it floats.
- 18:11Yeah. I don't think I've seen like, at
- 18:14least in recent memory, like a YouTube video of someone just
- 18:17doing it themselves or like a ghost show of someone doing it.
- 18:20Yeah. So I don't know, I I think I'd
- 18:24try it. You would try it.
- 18:26I think I would. I think I saw Ashby do it
- 18:28recently. Ashby did a ghost hunting video.
- 18:30I take that back. I did see it.
- 18:32OK. I don't know.
- 18:34It looked like it was moving, but I wasn't there.
- 18:37Yeah. Take everything you watch with a
- 18:39grain of salt. Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 18:42That's I don't know. I can't say right now.
- 18:45I think my answer is like, I still wouldn't do it.
- 18:48Once again, knowing that it's a game, knowing that there's no
- 18:51specific thing tied to anything paranormal.
- 18:54It's just a board with letters. They're making these in a
- 18:56factory. Exactly.
- 18:59But just like the psych, like once again, the psychological
- 19:01thing of it all is like if I have a hesitation, once again,
- 19:05trust your instincts and like don't.
- 19:07But I just think there's a smart way to go around it.
- 19:10And I actually will talk about that later.
- 19:12Oh. Well, that that's all I had
- 19:14prepared to make for you regarding the the Ouija board.
- 19:19And ways to contact the other side.
- 19:21And I have a surprise for Jay. You have a, you have one.
- 19:23Right now. Just kidding.
- 19:24You have. We're going to play it right
- 19:26now. Guys, Jerry's eyes went so wide.
- 19:28I was like, no, because it looks like you're reaching this like
- 19:30that box. I got him.
- 19:32Totally looks like. AI got him.
- 19:35No, I would only take one if it's give it to me and then at
- 19:38that point I'm also giving it a little spritz, spritz of my holy
- 19:41water I have in a sprayed bottle.
- 19:42Yeah, just on yourself 1st and then on whatever.
- 19:46Yeah, because when you got to, you got to take a chug real
- 19:48quick. You know you have to shield
- 19:50yourself up. No, I can't because I have my
- 19:52holy waters infused with lavender.
- 19:54You're allergic to lavender. I'm just.
- 19:56Kidding. Well, I don't think you're
- 19:57supposed. To infuse it.
- 19:59No, you can't eat lavender. There's lavender lemonade.
- 20:02Yeah, there's Lavender. Everything that lavender was
- 20:03poisoned and it just smelled good.
- 20:04No, I think that's poppy. The milk of the poppy.
- 20:08No milk Thistle. Milk Thistle?
- 20:10I don't know. I don't know.
- 20:13OK. I'm sorry.
- 20:13You were saying You were talking about talking to the dead.
- 20:15Bring that back up. Well, like that there's many
- 20:18ways to contact the other side, whether that's the dead, the
- 20:23energies, whatever. The Ouija board is a huge one
- 20:28that I think is very popular, probably the most popular one
- 20:30amongst just, you know, in movies amongst the people trying
- 20:35to be ghost hunting and and. Doing it in their own house.
- 20:38Doing it in their own house and stuff.
- 20:39However, there is a semi newer one that is still widely debated
- 20:46whether it's legit, whether it's once again, it's not science,
- 20:50It's not backed by science, but fans and and those in like the
- 20:55paranormal realm that do study and go out hunting and stuff.
- 20:59I mean, they live by it. So today we're going to be
- 21:01talking about the Estes method. I love this.
- 21:05The Estes method, in short, is a paranormal investigation
- 21:08technique using sensory deprivation, including blindfold
- 21:12noise cancelling headphones to help a receiver focus on a
- 21:16spirit box random radio sweep while an operator asks questions
- 21:21aiming for direct spirit communication through
- 21:23interpreted words or phrases. So that's a gist of it.
- 21:26That's just what it is. I do have some background
- 21:29because obviously I want to educate myself and our
- 21:32listeners. So in 2016, an unexpected leap
- 21:36in extrasensory communication took shape in Estes Park, Co
- 21:42inside the famously haunted Stanley Hotel.
- 21:45I'm sure you know this hotel. I want to go, I want to be
- 21:47there. At the time, it's creators full
- 21:50time resident paranormal investigators had no way of
- 21:53knowing that a casual thought experiment would soon ripple
- 21:56through the paranormal community with remarkable speed on January
- 22:0021st, 2016. It's almost 10 years ago.
- 22:02Literally almost 10 years ago, investigators Carl Pfeiffer,
- 22:07Connor Randall and Michelle Tate revisited the idea they've
- 22:10casually been mulling over since 2011.
- 22:13The question was simple. It's strange.
- 22:16What if the chaotic audio produced by an SB-7 spirit box,
- 22:19which is I think the most standard one, a device that
- 22:22rapidly scans radio frequencies, creating bursts of noise
- 22:26believed by some to be spirit manipulated, could be isolated
- 22:29and funneled directly into the human mind?
- 22:33In this set up, that person would become the receiver.
- 22:36With some time on their hands, the team seated Randall in the
- 22:39basement hallway beneath the Stanley's Concert hall, an area
- 22:42buzzing with recent activity. Wearing headphones and keeping
- 22:46his eyes closed, Randall listened to a direct feed from
- 22:49the SP7 while Pfeiffer posed questions allowed to whatever
- 22:52might be listening. Almost immediately, Randall
- 22:55begin responding, and disturbingly, the answers were
- 22:58coherent enough to raise eyebrows.
- 23:02This is a quote directly from Pfeiffer.
- 23:04I assume we'd catch the occasional coincidence, but what
- 23:07surprised me was how consistent the responses were.
- 23:10Right off the tape, right off the gate.
- 23:13Determined to rule out suggestion and trickery, the
- 23:15team refined the process. Randall was blindfolded to
- 23:18prevent lip reading, which is really, really smart.
- 23:21Yeah, and at his suggestion, upgraded to noise isolating
- 23:26headphones to ensure he couldn't hear the questions themselves.
- 23:29Rather than weakening the results, these controls seem to
- 23:32sharpen them. Another quote from Pfeiffer.
- 23:36Once we added the blindfold and proper headphones, the responses
- 23:38didn't fade, they became more confident.
- 23:41With earbuds, there's always a nagging doubt about sound bleed,
- 23:44but when we started getting direct, relevant commentary
- 23:48about what was happening in the room, it was electrifying.
- 23:51I was genuinely stunned. The experiment was ultimately
- 23:55dubbed the Estes Method, a nod to Estes Park, the Stanley
- 23:58Hotel's hometown and the unlikely birthplace of what
- 24:01would become one of the most influential paranormal
- 24:04investigation techniques of the past several decades.
- 24:07I want to do this so proud, Jerry.
- 24:10When it comes like, cuz all those are like like those
- 24:13controls that are like, well, these this is like up for the
- 24:16best because this, this is weak. I don't know what that's called
- 24:18and. They did the scientific method.
- 24:20They said I have this hypothesis.
- 24:22What? How can we isolate everything?
- 24:25Don't know if it's the scientific method, don't.
- 24:27It's the Pythagorean theorem. It's essentially, you know,
- 24:29it's. It's the root of the circle.
- 24:31There you go. You're trying to find the
- 24:32radius. So that's all it is, right?
- 24:34So that's cool. Now that they like refined it
- 24:36and they kind of like. They got all the kinks out.
- 24:40They had to figure out like, what?
- 24:42What? What can mess this up?
- 24:45That's what makes this crazy because like, what's the error?
- 24:48Like at that point it's just you guessing.
- 24:51Oh that's crazy. You have RIP off pants.
- 24:53Nice. You gave this to me.
- 24:54They. Gave you that?
- 24:56Yeah. What is that?
- 24:57There's what? Pants.
- 24:58No, they're not RIP off. They're they?
- 24:59Have a zip. Oh the zipper, it distracted
- 25:00Jerry. Fun fact, that same hotel was
- 25:04what inspired horror author Stephen King to write the
- 25:07classic novel The Shining. Also a good movie.
- 25:10So we will be going to. To Stanley, no, we won't.
- 25:14That's like in a different country.
- 25:16We'll go tomorrow. No, I mean if someone would love
- 25:19to fund this trip, we will. We will be there in a heartbeat.
- 25:22Dude, we would do like live like TikTok live would be, we'd be,
- 25:27we'd be on live and stuff and we'd just be freaking out the
- 25:30whole time. Write that down, Jerry.
- 25:31Write that down, but write that down TikTok.
- 25:32Live ghost hunt OK, so here's some like equipment that you can
- 25:36use, things that have been used in the past, things we need to
- 25:39put in our Amazon shopping cart. Guys, we're going to have a a a
- 25:42TikTok wish list if you want to buy a stuff.
- 25:45Guys, make sure you check out my registry.
- 25:47Yeah, don't forget to wish me We're registered at.
- 25:50Target, Actually, no, we I still have not shopped at Target in
- 25:55months. We're registered at CVS.
- 25:59We're registered Trader Joe's at Trader Joe's, Oshkosh, Pagosh
- 26:04and The Gap. Anavarin.
- 26:08What's that last one? The gap?
- 26:11No, the gap. Gotcha.
- 26:13So equipment. Obviously there's a spirit box,
- 26:16My voice cracked, the SP7, noise cancelling headphones and a
- 26:20blindfold. Easy, straightforward.
- 26:22Simple, we all you need. We're only missing one thing
- 26:24there. The spirit the spirit box yeah,
- 26:27there is other methods. I downloaded an app.
- 26:29I sent it to you. It looks it looks legit.
- 26:32I will show you later. It looks legit.
- 26:35You can pay for more like features and everything.
- 26:37I don't think they're necessary, but in terms of like frequency,
- 26:40it does pull from a radio frequency.
- 26:42Like what? And the reviews, a bunch of good
- 26:44reviews. Anyways, so rolls.
- 26:46There's a receiver that is blindfolded wearing the
- 26:48headphones operator asking the questions.
- 26:51The setup is a spirit box connected to the headphones
- 26:54creating white noise from sweeping radio frequencies.
- 26:57The receiver is blindfolded. Blindfolded to block visual
- 27:00cues. The execution operator asked
- 27:04questions allow the receiver, isolated from the external
- 27:06sounds and sights, verbally relays any words or phrases they
- 27:10perceive from the spirit box static.
- 27:13That's when you're like saying them out loud and stuff.
- 27:15Yeah. So they just they they repeat
- 27:16what they think they hear is a way in the radio frequencies.
- 27:23And the goal is to get that coherent response from spirits
- 27:26countering audio. This is the word that I can't
- 27:28say Pareidolia. Pareidolia.
- 27:32By having the receiver unaware of the questions, I might have
- 27:35butchered that word. Anyways, so that's the s s
- 27:39method. Pretty straightforward.
- 27:41It looks super effective. People in the paranormal
- 27:43community like vouch by it. I want to try it.
- 27:47You too, we saw this. There is this YouTube called Roz
- 27:51Hernandez. She's a stand up comedian and a
- 27:53ghost hunter and that's what her YouTube channel is and she does
- 27:57these like honestly, they're almost an hour, they're 45 to an
- 28:01hour long videos of her doing just ghost hunting at different
- 28:04places. For the most part, it's just
- 28:06her, some night vision cameras, her audio recorder.
- 28:11And what she started doing is she she's a trans woman.
- 28:14She would get on Grinder and find the closest person nearby
- 28:17to her who would be up to do some ghost hunting and invite
- 28:20them over. And that's where I learned about
- 28:22the Estes method. She said, hey, I'm going to put
- 28:24you in in a blindfold and headphones and you're going to
- 28:28listen to this and tell me what you hear.
- 28:30And yeah. So they'd be in the dark.
- 28:32Sometimes they she would put them in a in a different room.
- 28:35Like if it was a bathroom that's haunted, they would be sitting
- 28:38in the bathroom. She would be just outside.
- 28:41So there's still that. Even though they're noise
- 28:43cancelling, it's still like you're not next to each other.
- 28:46And she would ask the questions and the person hearing in full
- 28:48confidence would just repeat what they thought they heard on
- 28:52the the radio waves. Insane.
- 28:55I think that concept was just super cool.
- 28:57Why are you more open to trying that than trying the Ouija
- 28:59board? I think because like, I don't
- 29:01know, like once again, I think it's just what I grew up with
- 29:04because it's so new. We haven't seen a movie of
- 29:06someone possessed by. This method, so therefore, like
- 29:09my mind psychologically is like more OK with it super
- 29:13contradictory because like this is this is like a more direct
- 29:16form of contact if you're thinking about it.
- 29:19I think either way you're opening a portal though.
- 29:21I think you're opening. Up an Ave. for conversation, for
- 29:23something to respond. Yeah, Yeah.
- 29:26I think we should try the Ouija board.
- 29:28I'm just saying, what's the worst that can happen on this?
- 29:31We get possessed. OK, Take me to church.
- 29:34Take me to church and Father would know what to do.
- 29:37Well, once again then, there's a Catholic Church that has
- 29:40documentation. The Catholic Church is so scary.
- 29:44I know a lot of my family, like majority of my family's
- 29:46Catholic, but they're hiding so much from us.
- 29:48What is in the back end? Do you hear about that mirror?
- 29:51A mirror? There's a mirror.
- 29:53That's from Hogwarts. Yes, literally of same kind of
- 29:57lore where it shows you what you're not supposed to see, like
- 30:02the underworld, the demons, the that someone went crazy just
- 30:06looking through it and it's sealed away in the Vatican.
- 30:09That's for no one to look at. That's crazy.
- 30:12Don't get me started on the freaking Saints.
- 30:14And they're, I was gonna say indigestible.
- 30:18Their bodies that don't decompose.
- 30:21Oh like how they have like their jaw like on display and stuff
- 30:23and for. Some of them, it's literally
- 30:25like their mummified body that for some reason was mummified
- 30:28naturally and they're like, oh, you didn't decompose, you're a
- 30:32St. you. Don't think it's like maybe a
- 30:35mold. Scientifically, probably, like
- 30:40the conditions that they died in were just perfect.
- 30:42That they, they just mummified. Yeah.
- 30:45But no, the Catholic Church says they're Saints.
- 30:48It's a miracle. Yeah, I do.
- 30:49Like, I, I do like seeing like the Gothic shrines and and
- 30:54artwork and stuff and like a lot of these like old churches and
- 30:59buildings. I don't know.
- 31:00Yeah, the architecture, the iconography, yeah, everything
- 31:04they do is so kind of like hardcore.
- 31:06Yeah, very much. I mean the the jaw of Saint
- 31:09something and the eyeballs of Saint like it's it's and it's
- 31:12just like a skull inside of a gold a Dome.
- 31:14Yeah. So I do have other stuff that I
- 31:17want to share. This is just finding random
- 31:19websites that kind of like dive dove in deeper and once again
- 31:22get someone else's perspective on the s s method.
- 31:25So I found this place called this website
- 31:28calledhalloween.com, pretty cool website.
- 31:32It's Australian centered resource for all things
- 31:34Halloween. I guess their purpose was
- 31:36because there wasn't a lot of like Halloween like just
- 31:39resources and material in Australia.
- 31:42So they just boom. They found their spot in the
- 31:44market. They found their niche in
- 31:45Australia, so they mentioned how the s s method is relatively low
- 31:50cost to try to open communication with spirits.
- 31:54Every investigator who uses equipment knows just how
- 31:56expensive some of it can be in comparison.
- 31:58This method can be quite affordable as it only requires a
- 32:02headphone blindfold sphere. Box and an app apparently.
- 32:04And an app if you don't need it, if you don't have the sphere
- 32:07box. So before they start the
- 32:09session, they found it helpful to sit in a space which is to be
- 32:12investigated. Total darkness and silence to
- 32:16see if we can hear, feel or see anything.
- 32:20Sorry. Taking this time to absorb your
- 32:22surroundings can also help you ground yourself and assist in
- 32:25heightening your senses to the change in environment.
- 32:28Also, make sure you introduce yourself to the spirits who may
- 32:31be there and ask them what you want them to do.
- 32:34There's no use in saying come up and talk into the spirit box as
- 32:38a spirit you're attempting to communicate with may not have
- 32:41ever seen a spirit box or use the technique.
- 32:44Before, so you have to like ease them into it like, hey, this is
- 32:46the phone. We use this to talk to one
- 32:49another. Like, yeah, like, like, like a.
- 32:53Selfie come, come in ghost. Yeah, we're going to take a
- 32:56picture. This is a selfie.
- 32:58Yeah. It's like, I mean, they've never
- 32:59seen this technology before. They don't know what that is.
- 33:01What if we come and it's disguised as a phonograph?
- 33:05That'd be cool. Would it feel like increases
- 33:08like the amount of like? Has anyone ever tried?
- 33:10This. Write that down.
- 33:12Write that down. Write that down.
- 33:14We're going to get old timey costumes and be like, hey, we're
- 33:17here for the party. Exactly.
- 33:21So some spirits may be unaware of how it works or if it'll
- 33:24cause them harm. So always come with an open mind
- 33:26and respect. How do they know?
- 33:28How do they know the ghosts are scared?
- 33:30I'm scared. I mean, well, I think it's more
- 33:32of like a, they might be like more, I don't know.
- 33:36They're trying to limit any kind of like, let's make them
- 33:40comfortable. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:41And like, why scare them off? Why even, like, let's open it
- 33:45up. True.
- 33:45Let's open it up for them. The floor is open.
- 33:47The floor page, but do it right here.
- 33:49This this this this Apple. IPhone right here.
- 33:52I think that's why I like, remember that time we were at
- 33:55the Queen Mary and the kid was like, speak into this box, it
- 33:59shines red. And he was kind of explaining
- 34:01the whole process. I see that now.
- 34:03It all makes sense. It all makes sense.
- 34:10One second, OK, you can start your session by saying and then
- 34:15they they put a quote of like what you can say and just fill
- 34:18in the blanks. Hello, my name is blank and I'm
- 34:21here to and I'm here tonight to communicate with any spirits who
- 34:24may be present. I come with the purest, the
- 34:27purest of intentions and greatest respect.
- 34:30And I mean you no harm. I would love it if you could
- 34:32come up to this black box in my hand and use your energy to
- 34:36communicate with words by talking into it.
- 34:38In response to our questions. We would love to hear your
- 34:41story, so please don't be afraid they don't talk English.
- 34:45Imagine. OK, we're gonna have a
- 34:47translated version. English and span just.
- 34:49Have it ready, just Siri play it, Siri play it, Siri play it.
- 34:52So that's an example of what you can do to kind of like, you
- 34:55know, set the stage and see if you can get a a response of any
- 34:59kind. Now, that was a direct quote.
- 35:01That was not me saying it. So I'm not inviting any energy
- 35:04or negative space into this space.
- 35:05So you are not welcome. I've already scared me enough,
- 35:08thank you. Thank you.
- 35:08Bye. You stay in your corner, I'll
- 35:10stay in mine. We're going to be doing this.
- 35:13What's that to get into Mundo? OK, sorry I cut you off.
- 35:20We're going to try this. Because we are.
- 35:22Soon we're going to hit up some Orange County hotspots on a
- 35:27random weeknights, allegedly, and just see what's up.
- 35:31I'm excited. I think we have the notice
- 35:33cancelling. We have the app.
- 35:35I have a blindfold. We have a blind.
- 35:37Yep. Why do you have a?
- 35:37Blindfold. It's not a blindfold, it is a
- 35:39sleep. It's an eye mask for sleeping.
- 35:42I need one of those. Well, you can't have it because
- 35:45I need for ghost hunting. That's fair.
- 35:48OK, valid. Kind of borrowed after.
- 35:50Yes, yes, after, after the ghost hunting.
- 35:51Once the ghost attaches to it, it's all yours.
- 35:56Funny, it's coming back to you anyways.
- 35:58I'm gonna use it one time to like.
- 35:59Not for me. Nah, it was.
- 36:01Here you go. Right.
- 36:02Have it back. I don't have a good sleep.
- 36:05So that's the s s method. That is just another website.
- 36:10I do like how you were mentioning spirits when you were
- 36:14telling us like the the the Ouija board and stuff, because
- 36:17that's what it is. Unfortunately, sometimes a ghost
- 36:21is mistaken with that spirit. They're like interchangeable,
- 36:24but they're actually very different.
- 36:26Really. I do have some of that tell.
- 36:28Me. OK, OK, OK, tell me.
- 36:29Tell me. So.
- 36:31Damn Jerry came. I am prepared.
- 36:33I'm telling you like this, this thing, it's exciting, it's
- 36:36different. It's something that I don't
- 36:38know. It just like itches my brain,
- 36:40you know? Wow.
- 36:41So according to US ghostadventures.com.
- 36:44I trust them. That's how do I Though they're
- 36:47often lumped together and identified through similar
- 36:49means, ghosts and spirits are not quite the same thing.
- 36:52Distinction matters. Wow.
- 36:54Ghosts are best understood as echoes, frozen in time.
- 36:57They tend to cling to specific locations or meaningful objects,
- 37:00often tied to circumstances of their death, and manifest as
- 37:04straightforward apparitions, much like a damage reel or film
- 37:08of film. Sorry.
- 37:09They replay the same moments in the same places, appearing on
- 37:12the predictable loop with little awareness of the present.
- 37:15So is that what a residual hunting is?
- 37:17It's literally what a hunting. Okay, It's just they're caught
- 37:20in a never ending loop. Never ending loop with that
- 37:22energy just stuck somewhere. So when we went to the Queen
- 37:25Mary, would the Lady in white be a residual hunting if they see
- 37:30her just like always doing the same thing, just walking the
- 37:32hall? Is that a piano?
- 37:34Yep, that's a residual. So there's that energy that's
- 37:36stuck in that floor because it doesn't appear in any other
- 37:38floor and it's always in white. Just like the the not agent.
- 37:42What was the name Clark? Yes, in the in the captain's
- 37:46quarters, yeah. Yeah, same thing.
- 37:48Nowhere else. You don't see Clark trolling,
- 37:50Yeah? Next is the piano, chopping it
- 37:51up with the Lady in white. You don't think ghosts have
- 37:54fanfics romances? It's time to write it, Brian.
- 37:57Come on, get to it. Write it down.
- 37:59Write it down. It's been stored away in my
- 38:01brain. The Queen Mary fanfic. 2 ghosts
- 38:06lost at sea forever in Long Beach in Long Beach.
- 38:09They think they're at sea. Nope.
- 38:10They. Think they're at sea?
- 38:12I'm Nope. You're writing it down.
- 38:14Writing it down. So spirits, by contrast, are far
- 38:20more fluid and conscious in nature.
- 38:22Rather than being impressions, they are linked to a soul,
- 38:25aware, intentional, and capable of interacting with the physical
- 38:29world. Existing on a different plane of
- 38:31reality, Spirits may move freely between spaces and can take many
- 38:35forms, including humans, animals, or even elemental
- 38:39entities across countless cultures and belief systems.
- 38:42Ancestral spirits in a particular whole.
- 38:45Excuse me, a particular whole in a particular whole.
- 38:48Ancestral spirits in particular, hold a central and revered role,
- 38:53acting as guides, guardians or lingering witnesses to the
- 38:56living world. So they're, they have like a,
- 39:01there's a consciousness there. Absolutely.
- 39:04They have like free reign to do whatever they want.
- 39:08That's the scary ones. You know, yes, I'm sure it's
- 39:11limited. Because once again, if we're
- 39:13talking about energies, there's yeah, there's no corporal body.
- 39:15There's nothing to just like, yeah, smack me across the face
- 39:19or. I mean, I mean, it's to each
- 39:21their own, Brian. I've seen the the three
- 39:23scratches of the beast and people getting those.
- 39:27So yeah. I have so many questions.
- 39:33There's so many questions and we can keep diving in deep.
- 39:37Yeah, 'cause I want to know like how, how much can they roam
- 39:41around? Like if is a spirit tied to like
- 39:43a like a chunk of area like AI can only haunt within this acre
- 39:48of land or can they move around? I don't know man, like.
- 39:51What's it like being a spirit? It's like Stranger Things.
- 39:54It's like the upside. Down I haven't watched.
- 39:57I haven't watched. Oh, the controversy was the
- 40:00finale. But anyway, we won't get into
- 40:01that today. A couple examples.
- 40:07Apparitions, the visual sightings of ghosts and full
- 40:11bodied apparitions. Misty.
- 40:13Shadowy shapes Auditory phenomena which is ghostly.
- 40:18Ghostly encounters may involve the unexplained sounds of
- 40:21footsteps, whispers, voices attributed to the presence of
- 40:24spirits. Psychokinetic activity.
- 40:27Poltergeist hauntings are characterized by object
- 40:29movement, knocking sounds, and other disturbances that may
- 40:32suggest a manifestation of psychokinetic energy.
- 40:35Cold spots. Temperature changes, orbs, light
- 40:39anomalies. Some believe that orbs and
- 40:41unusual light phenomena captured in photographs are evidence of
- 40:44siritual energy or the presence of ghosts.
- 40:47Ectoplasm. In spiritualist circles,
- 40:50ectoplasm is believed to be a substance exuded by mediums
- 40:54during seances indicating the presence of spirit.
- 40:56OK, So what is? What is the substance like?
- 40:58Where does it come out I? Don't know and I wanted to dive
- 41:00even deeper on that to see if there's physical samples of
- 41:04ectoplasm that I know I didn't get to do it.
- 41:07What? What would that be?
- 41:08It's like a discharge of some sort.
- 41:10I know, but where is it? Where?
- 41:12Where is it excreting from? The walls?
- 41:14The table? The medium.
- 41:16Get inside. I want to see a medium.
- 41:20Actually, now that I'm looking at that puddle right there next
- 41:21to you, what is that stop? Is that questions the?
- 41:24Spirits don't want me to tell you.
- 41:27So you're the medium. I'm the secret.
- 41:29I'm the Long Island Medium. I'm Teresa Caputo, Long Island
- 41:34Medium. I'm getting something.
- 41:37It's it's it's. I see it.
- 41:40It's it's your. It's your Uncle Bobby.
- 41:42Your Uncle Bob? Bobby.
- 41:43Yeah, yeah, yeah. How do you know Bobby?
- 41:45He was, there's a bus, there's a bus.
- 41:48He was a bus driver, there was a bus.
- 41:50And then if it flew into the ocean?
- 41:52It flew into the. Ocean.
- 41:53Yes, yeah. Yes, yes, yes.
- 41:55I lost the accent yes yes, yes, yeah.
- 41:59Well, yes. The ocean is the ocean shown to
- 42:04the ocean. The Sharks got him, and he wants
- 42:06to tell you that he's OK, and then he left you $20.00 for your
- 42:09birthday. In a card.
- 42:10In a card? Yeah, but the card, your aunt,
- 42:14she used it. She stole it.
- 42:16No, she used it for her nails. She got her nails done.
- 42:18She stole it, but. She's not married.
- 42:20She's not related to you by blood.
- 42:22Then how is she my aunt? Oh, through marriage.
- 42:25How do you know this stuff? I'm Teresa Caputo.
- 42:28I know everything. Now pay me.
- 42:31That's $300. Three hundred.
- 42:33Here's 400. Thank you so much.
- 42:35You're welcome. So yeah, friend, that's that.
- 42:41Let's see a psychic medium. I'm down.
- 42:44I am too. Until they say something that's
- 42:45a little too real and then I'll cry and.
- 42:47You're like fuck. Like why would you do that to?
- 42:49Me, I want my money back. There was, I grew up in Chino,
- 42:52right? And there was on the Main Street
- 42:54of this psychic. It had like $5 palm readings.
- 42:58I always wanted to go and I never did because my mom wasn't
- 43:01going to let me go. But.
- 43:03What's stopping when I? Went to the right when I did
- 43:06community theater there. One of the people went there and
- 43:09they were like, she told me something that I've never told a
- 43:16soul. And I was like, oh, so I trust
- 43:19her and don't know who she is. Never been, but I trust her.
- 43:24It's Larissa Caputo. It's Larissa Caputo Caputo.
- 43:28It's the cousin. Real Housewife of Cheeto Hills.
- 43:31For real. Oh my God, yeah, there was a I
- 43:35grew up down in San Diego in National City off the 5 freeway.
- 43:39I think there is a palm reader like Sidekick with a huge sign
- 43:43and in my Old Street if I were to just go down towards the
- 43:47freeway, like my street would take me straight, straight area.
- 43:52So I always thought about that place because it's huge like
- 43:55like what place like that has like a huge neon sign like, and
- 43:57it has you from the freeway. And has been open for SO.
- 44:00Long it's been there since I can remember.
- 44:03I'm just a wee lad. I wish I had psychic abilities.
- 44:07I used to think I did when I was little, but that's because I
- 44:10used to watch a lot of Long Island Medium.
- 44:12And you're like. I would watch Long Island Medium
- 44:15The Ghost Whisperer. Oh such a good show.
- 44:18Adventures. No, Ghost Whisperer was a
- 44:20scripted show was this lady who could just see ghosts and she
- 44:26was always helping people and it was a really like emotional
- 44:29show. Wow, Yeah.
- 44:31Dang, that'd be cool that I think, yeah.
- 44:35If you watched, if you guys watched it, the TV show the
- 44:39Welcome to dairy. Like one of the main characters
- 44:41is like this big psychic and he like unlocks his third eye in
- 44:44one of the episodes and sees all the spirits.
- 44:47Who's supposedly connected to another one of?
- 44:49Yes, someone was telling me. Stephen King's.
- 44:51Alexa was telling me that he spoilers.
- 44:55Spoilers. Spoilers if you haven't seen.
- 44:56It in the last episode he says he's going to go work at the
- 44:58restaurant. Yeah, guess what Restaurant.
- 45:00The restaurant. At The Shining At the Shining
- 45:02that is inspired by the Stanley Hotel, it's all it's all
- 45:05connected. It's all connected, yeah.
- 45:09We're definitely going to be trying that out because.
- 45:12It seems attainable, like it seems like like they said, it's
- 45:15easy and cheap and we love easy and cheap.
- 45:19This podcast is easy and cheap. It's.
- 45:20Super easy and cheap. Like, you'd be surprised, but.
- 45:23So cheap we don't get paid. You're not getting paid what
- 45:28you're getting paid anyways. So in all roads lead back to.
- 45:32Spirits, tell me, how much is he making?
- 45:35What's his salary? OK, I'll tell you.
- 45:40Yeah, we're going to do this. We're going to try it out.
- 45:43We're going to surprise you guys with some places, hopefully.
- 45:45Yeah, if any of you listeners like if your house is haunted or
- 45:49something and you can like let us borrow it for a night to just
- 45:52like do ghost hunting. We'll go to your family, like,
- 45:55yeah, I need you guys to bounce. Yeah, y'all can't be there.
- 45:57I need you to. We're going to have guests and
- 45:59they're going to talk to the ghosts.
- 46:00And they're going to be sleeping here tonight, you guys are.
- 46:02Going to have to find someone, find a couch, sleep in the car.
- 46:06Sleep in the car. You can use the restroom, but
- 46:08you have to text us. Beforehand, yes, because we
- 46:10can't. You can't taint the evidence,
- 46:11no. No, we are truth.
- 46:14Finders, fact searchers. Now we're going to get those
- 46:19ghosts. I got nothing I was trying to
- 46:21come up with with more to feed the fire we're.
- 46:27Spooky. Deals.
- 46:29We'll workshop that. That sounds pretty.
- 46:31It rolls off the tongue. That's spooky.
- 46:33Kind of like when you roll your ankle when you fall and because
- 46:36you're old. Oh my God.
- 46:37No, no, no. I got no nieces, no nephews.
- 46:41I'm not a kid yet. Hey, Mookie.
- 46:44Oh, I'm sorry, Mookie. Mookie's my dog.
- 46:47He needs an uncle. You.
- 46:50Have brothers well. They're.
- 46:53One of them lives with him. But he they're technically
- 46:57brothers if you think about. It they were raised together,
- 46:59they're raised they're like the Mexican thing of you have an
- 47:01uncle who's younger than you exactly it it just it it
- 47:05sometimes it just be like that it.
- 47:06Just be like that. You just got to accept it and be
- 47:08like, you know what? Mexican families, some of them
- 47:10just don't believe in any kind of birth control or
- 47:11contraceptive unfortunately. Yep.
- 47:15We won't get into that trauma. Anyways, anything else fun and
- 47:20exciting happening in your life? Oh man, no.
- 47:22Besides. This was last week.
- 47:23Besides this, I have we we have some very exciting things for
- 47:26you guys. I'm excited for this weekend.
- 47:31We have D&D coming back. Baby, we're finally going to be
- 47:34reunited. It's been so long I haven't
- 47:37rolled dice in months. It's it, it feels like we've
- 47:41been fighting an addiction and we're going to get to, we're
- 47:45going to get to relapse, unfortunately.
- 47:47No, you know, I bought, I bought new dice in the break.
- 47:50I'm excited. So did I.
- 47:51I'm so excited to. Use.
- 47:53I need to find them also guys. I'm, I don't know about you,
- 47:57Jerry, but I'm, I'm committing to my New Year's resolutions.
- 48:00It's only been a week. I've seen the pictures I've been
- 48:02writing. I've seen the pictures.
- 48:04I don't know. How much I want to devolve?
- 48:07Is that a word? I don't know how much I want to
- 48:11share. OK, OK to y'all but.
- 48:16Back when I was like 13 years old, OK minor, I used to write
- 48:20fan fiction. OK, nice, nice and happy.
- 48:23Slightly not safe for work fan fiction.
- 48:25Interesting. A Big Time Rush.
- 48:30Is that why you sent me a Big Time Rush song?
- 48:31Yeah, I did because I've been in my fields, Jerry, like
- 48:34legitimately, I've been like, I'm 14 again, Wow.
- 48:37And I'm like experiencing things for the first time that.
- 48:40Must be so cool. Yeah, and I have been working
- 48:43separately from my fanfic. I've been working on a story
- 48:49that has been put on on pause right now.
- 48:51That's valid because my current project is rewriting the
- 48:56fanfiction. Fanfiction I wrote at as a
- 49:00preteen just to see the difference.
- 49:03Like because I won't lie, I was reading it and I was like damn,
- 49:06what's going to happen next? This is good.
- 49:08And then it abruptly ends because I stopped updating in
- 49:112011. Oh my God, you gave up or
- 49:13something came. Up who knows I literally it just
- 49:16stopped It's crazy and I have some ideas of how it should have
- 49:21ended. I like so.
- 49:23I like, I wonder what 2011 Brian's idea of the ending was
- 49:28going to be in. Oh God, who knows.
- 49:30We will never know. We will never know that he's
- 49:32gone. That's hella meta, dude.
- 49:33Like you're editing your own stuff, but it's like kind of
- 49:36new. Because it's a different person
- 49:38at this point. I sat there for four hours
- 49:41trying to find it, 'cause I'm like, I don't know what my
- 49:42username is. You guys are never going to
- 49:44know. I'm never sharing that.
- 49:46The only people? No.
- 49:47It's not that one I thought it was.
- 49:49The only people that I'm going to be sharing this, maybe book
- 49:54club, maybe book club can can read this OK, but that's it.
- 49:59Wait, am I getting a copy? You're in book club by
- 50:02association. OK cool.
- 50:03Can mine be signed though? I don't know.
- 50:06I did format it to be principal. Sign my copy.
- 50:08Because my next hobby is to be a book binder.
- 50:12That's an expensive. Hobby to start so I need to save
- 50:14up some money, but it's OK you're you're you're you're
- 50:17planting the seed. It's manifesting into something
- 50:19that's going to be that's beautiful.
- 50:21Yep, that's sick, friend. That's sick.
- 50:24Speaking of Big Time Rush, my song of the week is Big Time
- 50:26Rush. Oh my God it is paralyzed by BTR
- 50:30is. That the one you sent me?
- 50:32Yeah. Yeah, that is right.
- 50:33Yeah, I saw them in concert as an adult with Alexa like a
- 50:36couple years back. Healed my inner child.
- 50:38That's fucking absolutely healed my inner child.
- 50:41I. Cried.
- 50:44I was telling Brian that, like I looked at the lyrics, I'm like,
- 50:46yo, why is this song kind of attacking me right now?
- 50:49Some of the lyrics, they're like.
- 50:52And the T with that song, it was unreleased for a really long
- 50:54time. Like it, like it didn't make it
- 50:56to an album or something. And then they did eventually
- 50:58release it 'cause it was like everywhere in the BTR community.
- 51:02It is their Best Song that's really good.
- 51:04Nothing else I send you. I will if I send you any more.
- 51:08Big Time Rush will not compare to that song.
- 51:10Nothing else is that exact vibe of like, slightly punk boy band
- 51:16pop. Yeah, very slightly punk.
- 51:19If like yes, there are like, you know, it's not super super
- 51:23heavy. It's not super, super hard.
- 51:24Like it is like very like, yeah, like you said, like pop punk and
- 51:26stuff. But if you were to play that
- 51:29like in the car, I wouldn't have guess Big Time Rush.
- 51:31No, it was hits. It's been on my repeat for the
- 51:34last four days. That's sick, friend.
- 51:36I listen to it, it's pretty good.
- 51:37I approve. Have a funny song?
- 51:41Oh my God. We were at Nordstrom Rack, and
- 51:44this is the second time a Nordstrom Rack song has me just
- 51:48like grooving in the hall, in the in the aisles.
- 51:51I'm like. Siri, what song is this?
- 51:52Jeez. What's what song is this?
- 51:55And I wasn't surprised. It is a It's 911 by Lady Gaga,
- 52:01but it's the Sophie Tucker remix.
- 52:03What? We saw Sophie Tucker at
- 52:05Coachella. I was.
- 52:06About to say that name is familiar.
- 52:08They remixed 911 and they have a song called Emergency or 911 I
- 52:12forget, but they have a song that's super similar so they
- 52:14just like. It's a mash up.
- 52:15It's a mash up, but it's mostly 911, just remixed Gaga, a little
- 52:18sprinkle of their song because I don't think you can you.
- 52:21Can't play this as soon as you leave.
- 52:22Dude, I was like, we were at the shoe section.
- 52:25I'm like, OK, Gaga, yeah. And then it just like, boom,
- 52:29you're in a club. And I was like fucking Nordstrom
- 52:31Rack with the bangers with the Bop.
- 52:34Imagine the lights dim like red and blue light starts.
- 52:37Jon Hamm the that one tick tock. Yep, that was me.
- 52:42But it's 911. It's 911 by Lady Gaga Sophie
- 52:44Tucker remix. It's so good.
- 52:45Listen to it. Put in the car.
- 52:47Happy song. That's all I got, folks.
- 52:50Yeah. Thank you guys for listening.
- 52:51Thank you. You're excited for more
- 52:53paranormal stuff in the in the future because we I have a
- 52:56feeling you're going to lean a little more happily into that
- 52:59into the future. It's exciting, and if it's
- 53:01exciting for me, I hope it's as exciting for you.
- 53:03Yeah. So I hope you enjoy.
- 53:06Yeah. Thank you for tagging along.
- 53:07Hope you guys had a great day. Had a good hour with us and
- 53:10we'll see you guys next week. Next week, same time, same
- 53:14place. Don't be late.
- 53:16If you're late again, I'm going to have to formally write you
- 53:18up. I'm sorry, this is like your
- 53:20third verbal. It hurts, Jerry to write you up.
- 53:23Don't do it. I can't.
- 53:25I can't. I need to see the improvement
- 53:26please. Yeah, you guys need to be on
- 53:28time. All right, guys, talk.
- 53:31Love you. All right, bye.
