- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, Zack and Donald here. I had a technical
- 0:03Speaker 1: glitch while recording this episode, and my fancy digital recorder
- 0:08Speaker 1: didn't work. And so Donald sounds perfect and you'll hear
- 0:12Speaker 1: his beautiful dulcet voice, but I sound like I'm just
- 0:16Speaker 1: on a cell phone. I'm actually just recorded over the
- 0:18Speaker 1: zoom mapp. So we did the best to make it
- 0:20Speaker 1: sound good, but I screwed up. So sorry. One job.
- 0:25Speaker 1: You had one job, and you screwed it up. You
- 0:27Speaker 1: talked all of that ship about Sarah Chalk and how
- 0:29Speaker 1: she messed up, and then you turned right around into
- 0:32Speaker 1: the exact samee. I deserve your admonishment, and I'm sorry
- 0:35Speaker 1: to everyone listening. It will never happen again, but on
- 0:38Speaker 1: this one episode alone, I am not recorded. Well, it's
- 0:42Speaker 1: my fault. We love you all. Thanks for listening, Donald

- 2:09Speaker 1: We're schooling them where you know we're we're trying to
- 2:13Speaker 1: run them. I've taken them out on a couple of walks.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Now good. I'm glad that you've allowed them to walk
- 2:18Speaker 1: around the block. Yeah. Well, we take like we do
- 2:20Speaker 1: it like a little neighborhood walk. We have our masks,
- 2:23Speaker 1: we have our gloves, We take our dog with it.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Did you tell me? Was it was it? What's cardi B?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Did you see then thing when she's coronavirus? Ship is real?
- 2:33Speaker 1: Ship is real? When they turned it into the song
- 2:36Speaker 1: I can't get Cardi b at all, but I that
- 2:41Speaker 1: coronavirus thing made me crack up. And when you get
- 2:43Speaker 1: the chance, look up the song. The ship is real.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Oh my god, same way they did like, uh double
- 2:49Speaker 1: rainbow and ain't nobody got time for that? And and uh,
- 2:53Speaker 1: he's hoting in your windows snatching your people. Uh, that
- 2:57Speaker 1: was the first one. And that was the best one.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Hot and hot to husbands because they've raping nobody about
- 3:05Speaker 1: this bit. That was sucking jam. That wasn't Jim, you
- 3:12Speaker 1: don't have to weary, but we're looking for you. We're
- 3:15Speaker 1: gonna fine, dude, We're gonna fine you so hot kids
- 3:21Speaker 1: and that it was dope, dude, I remember that was good.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That was a great one. Oh man, I don't think
- 3:28Speaker 1: that in my workout mix. That was a fucking jam.
- 3:32Speaker 1: That was the gym. It was a you know what
- 3:34Speaker 1: else was the jem It's fucking distracting? Oh yeah, what's
- 3:39Speaker 1: that one? The freaking Batman one? No Christen ber one.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Oh that was good. And then they spoof that with
- 3:46Speaker 1: the Kenney Schmidt theme song, um, which was which was
- 3:49Speaker 1: really good too. Do you ever watched Kenni Schmidt. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: have never watched Oh it's really good. You like it.
- 3:54Speaker 1: If you're listening to this podcast and you haven't watched Commishment,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'll bet you like it. It's got a lot of
- 3:59Speaker 1: it's sillier than us, believe it or not, but it's
- 4:01Speaker 1: got some very funny silly stuff, and it should we
- 4:04Speaker 1: talk about the show Donald's. We should totally talk about
- 4:07Speaker 1: the show. This was a good one. I have no
- 4:09Speaker 1: recollection of this show whatsoever. I didn't remember this show
- 4:14Speaker 1: until that we sang Mrs Jones. Yeah, Now did you
- 4:17Speaker 1: know Mrs Jones the song? Or did you? Absolutely? I
- 4:20Speaker 1: didn't really, but you sang it beautifully. Thank you. We
- 4:25Speaker 1: got a thing go in on. That's a it's a
- 4:32Speaker 1: real good song. I wonder if luth I think Lutha
- 4:34Speaker 1: might have even covered it. Sometimes when you see it,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I just involuntarily either Luther of Freddie Jackson, one of
- 4:40Speaker 1: them covered that thing. Who's the most famous Joel's version
- 4:45Speaker 1: of of I think the originals is Jones? Who's the original?
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I don't know. That's a really good is it?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Billy Paul? That does me? And Mrs Jones? I think so? Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: Billy Paul looks like the original. And then I feel
- 5:03Speaker 1: like Luther did do a cover of this. Let's see
- 5:05Speaker 1: we got a thing. No, Freddie Jackson did do the
- 5:12Speaker 1: Freddie Jackson. I knew it was one of them. Well
- 5:15Speaker 1: are you sanging beautifully? Donald? Thank you very much. I
- 5:18Speaker 1: remember being so excited that I was going to have
- 5:20Speaker 1: the opportunity to sing on the show. I sang a
- 5:23Speaker 1: lot as a kid, like in like the high school
- 5:25Speaker 1: choir and the junior high school choir. I wish you
- 5:27Speaker 1: would sing more because you have such a beautiful voice.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I would love to sing more. I don't think I
- 5:32Speaker 1: have the voice that is the type of voice that
- 5:34Speaker 1: people want to hear like all the time. Did you
- 5:36Speaker 1: ever do a Broadway musical? Of course I would do
- 5:39Speaker 1: a Broadway musical. We all have dreams of winning an
- 5:41Speaker 1: egot one day, of getting the egot, so absolutely for
- 5:45Speaker 1: egot reasons, I'm saying, what would you think that would
- 5:48Speaker 1: bring you joy to do a Broadway musical? Bill and
- 5:51Speaker 1: I got approach to do a version of Flesh after Scrubs.
- 5:54Speaker 1: That's so scary, dude, I know. And the idea of
- 5:57Speaker 1: doing it with Bill, who's like the biggest flesh fan
- 5:59Speaker 1: in the world. It was interesting. But then you know,
- 6:02Speaker 1: I mean, that's that's that's impossible. You can't can't you
- 6:06Speaker 1: can't do it because I'm just saying, okay, So back
- 6:08Speaker 1: to the musical, I think that it would be I
- 6:10Speaker 1: would just love to see you. You have such a
- 6:12Speaker 1: good voice. And I did a musical on Broadway and
- 6:15Speaker 1: I had so much fun doing it. Granted, I was
- 6:17Speaker 1: happy when it was over because when you go see
- 6:20Speaker 1: a play, particularly in this case were some of my musicals,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you always have to come out and go, I cannot
- 6:26Speaker 1: believe these people are doing this eight times a week.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And I was just so exhausted. It was the most
- 6:33Speaker 1: tired I've ever been in my life. No matter what happens,
- 6:36Speaker 1: you're going on that day. Like you know, it's one
- 6:38Speaker 1: thing you do play for three months, four months, but
- 6:40Speaker 1: and wow, that's a really that's a half a year, dude,
- 6:43Speaker 1: that's you were supposed to do it longer. But I
- 6:47Speaker 1: don't know. I go back and forth with the whole
- 6:49Speaker 1: you know, musical theater, musical genre. When it's done right,
- 6:53Speaker 1: it's really good. But when it's done when it's done wrong,
- 6:56Speaker 1: that's one of those things where it's like, dude, and
- 6:58Speaker 1: it was a musical, you know what I mean. I know,
- 7:00Speaker 1: but when it works, it's so good when it work.
- 7:04Speaker 1: When it works, it's it's the best thing in the world.
- 7:07Speaker 1: When you're in a bad one, you're like, oh God,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean, how do we get out
- 7:12Speaker 1: of this? So this My Bad was written by Gabby
- 7:16Speaker 1: Allan and U and directed by Mark Buckland, who directed
- 7:23Speaker 1: one of four very talented guys. A lot of cool
- 7:26Speaker 1: shots in this episode. I can always tell you if
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't look at the who the director is by,
- 7:32Speaker 1: by the cinematography, who was adding a little mixt or
- 7:35Speaker 1: something something. And Mark Buckland was always one of those guys, right.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I just remember playing ping pong with Mark Buckland and
- 7:40Speaker 1: how good of a ping pong player he is? Did
- 7:43Speaker 1: you win? Because you're pretty good? No, I did not win.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I got waxed. And he started off making it look
- 7:49Speaker 1: like it was going to be the easiest game in
- 7:50Speaker 1: the world, and I'd have a shot and all I
- 7:53Speaker 1: have to do is just keep the ball on the table.
- 7:55Speaker 1: But then after he remember him looking at me and
- 7:57Speaker 1: saying to me, okay, so I'm gonn turned it up
- 8:00Speaker 1: a little bit now and then all of a sudden
- 8:02Speaker 1: he became like freaking Federer or a freaking uh Nadal
- 8:05Speaker 1: or something like that. But on a ping pong table, Djokovic, right,
- 8:09Speaker 1: all of a sudden, out of nowhere, this dude, there's this,
- 8:12Speaker 1: there's there's uh this top spin. He's sin. I remember
- 8:16Speaker 1: you very into trick spin because I played with you
- 8:18Speaker 1: a couple of times and I just couldn't even hit
- 8:19Speaker 1: the ball back because you put so much spin on it.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But no matter what I did, it was just going everywhere. Right,
- 8:24Speaker 1: this dude had the type of ping pong game where
- 8:27Speaker 1: you put the spin on it, and he knew the
- 8:29Speaker 1: counter spin. So when it was the worst the counters
- 8:33Speaker 1: you gotta know the counterspin. You gotta know the counter spit.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I remember playing Bill in ping pong, and I'm just like,
- 8:40Speaker 1: you know, this is a new in the relationship, and
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm like, just if you play a little pong with
- 8:44Speaker 1: my boss, like just a little bonding. And then he
- 8:47Speaker 1: stopped when he goes, would you mind if I played
- 8:49Speaker 1: you left handed? Because for me it was so horrible.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I was did they ever play each other? Did you
- 8:57Speaker 1: ever witness Buckling and Bill? I don't know. I don't know,
- 9:01Speaker 1: but I mean I would love to get good at
- 9:03Speaker 1: ping pong. I don't think it really, I don't think
- 9:05Speaker 1: it really correlates with tennis that much. Oh, it's it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: absolutely the same, dude. Really, your your tennis game probably
- 9:11Speaker 1: has helped your ping pong game. Okay, I just haven't
- 9:13Speaker 1: had to play ping pong in a while, but my
- 9:15Speaker 1: tennis game is much better. Absolutely. Probably. I can't wait
- 9:18Speaker 1: to for us to play again. To be honest with you,
- 9:20Speaker 1: I do miss that. I know. I was thinking we
- 9:22Speaker 1: could get a video game and play online against each other.
- 9:25Speaker 1: You don't play video games, you'd get your asking. There's
- 9:27Speaker 1: no real good video game tennis, is there? There's a
- 9:30Speaker 1: lot of good video game. How are you yelling at me?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Which which one ps PSP is that PlayStation that's play
- 9:36Speaker 1: which one? Which which system is a good tennis because
- 9:38Speaker 1: I would like Box get Xbox Xbox PlayStation four. Oh.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Dan is saying that the top spin Mario Mario. I
- 9:48Speaker 1: don't want Mario. I don't I like I like my
- 9:50Speaker 1: player to look like a real person. I don't want
- 9:52Speaker 1: a little avatar running around like it's Mario versus Luigi, right,
- 9:55Speaker 1: so you have a little bit of land of property.
- 9:58Speaker 1: There's this thing where you take the ball is connected
- 10:01Speaker 1: to like a rope, and remember that thing that what's
- 10:03Speaker 1: the wooden paddle with the rubber ball that you would
- 10:06Speaker 1: hit It's called the wooden paddle with the rubber ball?
- 10:08Speaker 1: What was? But what is that called? Where it's connected
- 10:11Speaker 1: and you hit it and everyone knows there's a tennis version.
- 10:15Speaker 1: There's a tennis version of that where you can practice
- 10:18Speaker 1: strokes where you hit it far and it goes far out,
- 10:22Speaker 1: bounces and then comes back to you the same speed. Yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 1: you might like that. I don't know what that's called,
- 10:27Speaker 1: but absolutely I'm worried. I'm forgetting everything. All you gotta
- 10:33Speaker 1: do is say tennis near your phone. I'm sure it'll
- 10:35Speaker 1: pick it up and an addle pop up. I find
- 10:37Speaker 1: myself just doing my stroke with with your pantomime turn
- 10:42Speaker 1: bah catch nice, repeating, repeating my mantra nice. You're getting
- 10:48Speaker 1: really good at tennis. Alr. Let's get it. And you're
- 10:52Speaker 1: the one I'm telling about a paddle ball, and paddle
- 10:55Speaker 1: ball that's what it is. Some ship like that, right
- 10:57Speaker 1: all right? Listen, Sam Low. It opens the episode. Let's
- 11:01Speaker 1: talk about how great Sam Lloyd is Sam Lloyd's amazing.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Not only is he a funny, comedic actor, but he
- 11:07Speaker 1: is an amazing singer. You want to talk about a
- 11:09Speaker 1: really good singer. Yes, that acapella group that's featured in
- 11:13Speaker 1: later episodes is really Sam's band and the Blanks. Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and they after right after Scrubs, they were so popular.
- 11:20Speaker 1: They were really touring um and doing gigs. Yeah, there's
- 11:24Speaker 1: so talented those guys. Oh man, they do They do
- 11:26Speaker 1: a cover up John Williams Superman theme song, and it
- 11:30Speaker 1: is amazing. If you can find that, if you're if
- 11:33Speaker 1: you're if you're a fan of the Blanks acapella, man,
- 11:35Speaker 1: you can find I think they probably even have an
- 11:37Speaker 1: album or something. If you can find them doing oh yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: they're all over it tunes and they're amazing. And he's
- 11:42Speaker 1: Christopher Lloyd's nephew. Yes, I know I've mentioned that another
- 11:46Speaker 1: episode maybe tribute. Yes, And I got to direct Christopher
- 11:50Speaker 1: Lloyd in uh in Going in Style. You also were
- 11:54Speaker 1: in a play with Christopher. I was in Twelfth Night
- 11:57Speaker 1: in Central Park in the Delacourt Theater with Christopher and
- 12:00Speaker 1: when I when I went to direct him um and
- 12:03Speaker 1: Going Into Style I don't think he had any recollection
- 12:05Speaker 1: of who I was. Well, No, he's an amazing man
- 12:12Speaker 1: and I love him. But he is a little bit
- 12:14Speaker 1: like Duck. He's a little like Oh well, he's worked
- 12:17Speaker 1: so much. Though, you've got to give the man a break.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I know I'm not giving I don't need to give
- 12:21Speaker 1: a riak. He's a sweetheart, but I'm saying, when you
- 12:23Speaker 1: meet him, he's a little He is a little like Doc.
- 12:25Speaker 1: He's a little like exact. One of my favorite Christopher
- 12:31Speaker 1: Lloyd's stories is the story of when he found out
- 12:35Speaker 1: that Eric Stults wasn't doing Marty McFly anymore. Uh, and
- 12:39Speaker 1: that Michael J. Fox was doing it. And uh, you
- 12:43Speaker 1: know Eric Stults while it's in this famous book that
- 12:46Speaker 1: Justin Long gave me to read, right, and it's like
- 12:49Speaker 1: the making of Back to the Futures one, two, and three.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And apparently Eric Stolts told everybody on set, don't call
- 12:55Speaker 1: me Eric, call me Marty. I can't be true. This
- 12:59Speaker 1: is in the book. It's a very whenever I hear
- 13:02Speaker 1: these stories about people saying no eye contact and all
- 13:05Speaker 1: these horrible behavior, I just can never believe it's true. Okay, well,
- 13:07Speaker 1: this is ahead. This is in the book, you know,
- 13:11Speaker 1: so everybody does it. He finally gets fired and they
- 13:15Speaker 1: bring Michael J. Foxon. But before they bring Michael J.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Fox and they tell Christopher Lloyd they're like, listen, so
- 13:20Speaker 1: we had to fire Eric and we're bringing someone. And
- 13:24Speaker 1: he's like, well, who's Eric? And they got the guy
- 13:30Speaker 1: that was playing Marty. What his name was Mary? And
- 13:34Speaker 1: they go no. He's like, oh, okay, and then and
- 13:40Speaker 1: then they do and then um, and then they bring
- 13:42Speaker 1: Michael J. Foxon and they said the chemistry was like
- 13:45Speaker 1: one point and the rest is history, and now we have,
- 13:48Speaker 1: you know, back to the future. He's amazing and I
- 13:50Speaker 1: had a lot of fun working with him on going style.
- 13:53Speaker 1: He's you've worked with both of them. You've worked with
- 13:56Speaker 1: You've worked with Michael J. Fox, and you've worked with
- 13:59Speaker 1: Christopher or do but Doc and Marty? Yes, I know
- 14:03Speaker 1: Doc and Marty. Yeah. Trying to get Michael J. Fox on.
- 14:07Speaker 1: How when we get to him that would be kind
- 14:08Speaker 1: of cool. Maybe Bill can pull his bill strings, that
- 14:11Speaker 1: would be great. Um. At forty five seconds in there's
- 14:14Speaker 1: the most cartoonish drive by noise, and I know Bill
- 14:17Speaker 1: kept saying like, oh and this is when I was
- 14:19Speaker 1: starting to phase out the sound effects. But I was like, not, yeah, bro,
- 14:22Speaker 1: because this episode has so many sound effects in it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there are There are a
- 14:29Speaker 1: couple of those in here. You behind the door, when
- 14:32Speaker 1: you look away and you come back and then you
- 14:34Speaker 1: look back in again. That was hilarious. There's a funny
- 14:36Speaker 1: thing that happens with you know. They would always try
- 14:39Speaker 1: and time it so that if there was a holiday
- 14:42Speaker 1: like Halloween, it was airing, it was airing around Halloween,
- 14:45Speaker 1: and we'd have like our Halloween episode. And it's funny
- 14:49Speaker 1: though because at fifty one seconds in you don't really
- 14:51Speaker 1: know that yet, but there's two nurses that won't buy
- 14:54Speaker 1: in the background with ears on, and I was like,
- 14:57Speaker 1: my brain went to, oh, this must be the Halloween episode.
- 14:59Speaker 1: But if didn't have the context yet. It's just so weird,
- 15:01Speaker 1: Like why are those background people wearing wacky Halloween ears?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Speaking of background, this is the first time we see
- 15:11Speaker 1: I spotted him to Buddy Manly Henry, we reached out
- 15:15Speaker 1: and wrote it. I wrote it down because it was
- 15:18Speaker 1: a big moment. Well, he's walking in the hallway, he's
- 15:21Speaker 1: in the surprise. We saw him in the surprise room.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Well he's walking in the hallway, Well what way before that?
- 15:26Speaker 1: But for those of you don't know, what would happen
- 15:28Speaker 1: was that these background performers were the same people every day.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I mean, lots would rotate, but a lot of them
- 15:35Speaker 1: would be the same folks every day. We got to
- 15:37Speaker 1: know them and became friendly with them all. And some
- 15:40Speaker 1: of them Bill would pick out because he thought or
- 15:43Speaker 1: one of the other writers to pick out and go,
- 15:44Speaker 1: oh my god, he's got an interesting look, or he's funny,
- 15:47Speaker 1: or he can actually deliver a line, and then they
- 15:48Speaker 1: would get lines. Occasionally, Well someone thought that Manly Henry
- 15:54Speaker 1: looked the Snoop dog Do you think that? Yeah, they
- 15:58Speaker 1: kind of do. They kind of do favor each other
- 16:00Speaker 1: if you look at them. I mean, he's tall, he's black.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Got more than that anyway. So Manly Henry, who is
- 16:09Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg Attending Resident and everything else makes it. He
- 16:12Speaker 1: started off Snoop Dogg in turn, and then he became
- 16:15Speaker 1: snoop Dogg Resident, and then he became Snoop Dog Attending.
- 16:20Speaker 1: He's a big fan of our podcast, man, he he's
- 16:23Speaker 1: still he promotes our podcast on his Instagram page and
- 16:28Speaker 1: stuff like that. He's a sweetheart. Man, He's a very
- 16:30Speaker 1: sweet guy. And anyway, so this is a shout out
- 16:33Speaker 1: for Manly Henry for your first appearance. If you, if you,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I didn't see him walked by, but I saw him
- 16:37Speaker 1: in the surprise fantasy. He's he's in the background there
- 16:40Speaker 1: shout out Snoop Dogg. In turn, I have no memory
- 16:43Speaker 1: of doing that type for a walk yag. This is
- 16:45Speaker 1: one of the first fantasies I have absolutely memory of.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I have no memory of the episode, dude, remember the
- 16:49Speaker 1: episode of the whole episode like and you So recently
- 16:54Speaker 1: when watching the show, there have been little things that
- 16:56Speaker 1: have come on that I was like, oh wow, you
- 16:58Speaker 1: know what. I take it back. I do remember the
- 16:59Speaker 1: miss as Jones part, but usually I'm like, okay. In
- 17:04Speaker 1: the first round when I said I didn't remember the
- 17:08Speaker 1: Aspen episode, until I said, you know, I think I'm
- 17:09Speaker 1: gonna get her a nice pin, and I was like,
- 17:11Speaker 1: holy shit, it's the Aspen episode, you know what I mean.
- 17:14Speaker 1: There's always something remember the Mrs Jones And I'm sure
- 17:19Speaker 1: you remembered one of the greatest guest stars of all time,
- 17:23Speaker 1: Jimmy Walker. Absolutely and a very lovely line reading. By
- 17:27Speaker 1: the way, also by him. I think he totally made
- 17:29Speaker 1: the joke better. Like I wrote that down. I wrote down, Wow,
- 17:32Speaker 1: what an interesting way to say that line. And Jimmy Walker, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 1: we should stop for one second. For those of you
- 17:40Speaker 1: don't know, because some of you were young. Jimmy Walker,
- 17:43Speaker 1: who's in my fantasy around sixteen eleven seconds um, was
- 17:48Speaker 1: the star of a very popular show we were growing
- 17:51Speaker 1: up called Good Times, one of the most realistic shows
- 17:55Speaker 1: about project life on television. As an African Eric and
- 18:00Speaker 1: Mayle growing up, I mean the show was called good Times,
- 18:03Speaker 1: but they didn't have the most good times on that show.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Man thing bad things would happen, like the dad died,
- 18:08Speaker 1: like all types of ship and some white kids in
- 18:11Speaker 1: the suburbs. It was like myself, it was educational because
- 18:15Speaker 1: not only was it hilarious, but I watch shows like
- 18:18Speaker 1: that and What's Happening, and it was it got to
- 18:21Speaker 1: it got to show a different side of the way
- 18:25Speaker 1: people lived, and we didn't. I didn't know anything about
- 18:27Speaker 1: the projects when I was a little kid growing up
- 18:29Speaker 1: in the Jersey suburbs. And you fell in love with
- 18:33Speaker 1: in Good Times and you just followed them through and
- 18:36Speaker 1: like like like a lot of comedies at like they
- 18:39Speaker 1: would also be heartbreaking, right, right, they would keep it
- 18:42Speaker 1: like they would they would go deep into Oh my gosh,
- 18:45Speaker 1: they went deep into drama. On Good Times. Janet Jackson
- 18:47Speaker 1: was on Good Times, you know what I mean. She
- 18:49Speaker 1: played Penny. Her mom was abusive and like burnt her
- 18:54Speaker 1: with Iron type ship abusive, you know what I mean,
- 18:56Speaker 1: like for real, for real. Her mom was so bad
- 18:59Speaker 1: that they took her away from her mom and she
- 19:02Speaker 1: lived with a Loma who was the next door neighbor. Right,
- 19:06Speaker 1: you don't remember anything. I remember that episode, but I
- 19:08Speaker 1: do remember being young and being like totally in love
- 19:10Speaker 1: with that show. Am I right about that? It's a Loma? Right,
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'm not tripping to google and well and what about
- 19:18Speaker 1: what's happening? We also had its Thelma watch to be
- 19:21Speaker 1: Thelmas some ship like that. We also had the legendary
- 19:24Speaker 1: Fred Berry rerun rerun Frederi run Berry came on. He
- 19:28Speaker 1: came on the show right before he passed away. Actually
- 19:32Speaker 1: he passed away like a couple of months after he
- 19:35Speaker 1: was on the show, I believe, but I remember, I
- 19:37Speaker 1: remember we all got dressed up like fred re run
- 19:39Speaker 1: Berry and he told us how to do the dance
- 19:41Speaker 1: and everything like that. That was a lot of fun.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I remember that Jenny Walker wouldn't say dynamite unless you
- 19:47Speaker 1: paid him the next level money. Oh yeah, I remember
- 19:50Speaker 1: that being a thing one. And when they told us
- 19:52Speaker 1: Jimmy Walker was coming on and I was like, oh
- 19:53Speaker 1: my god. Again. Sorry for those who don't know. He
- 19:56Speaker 1: had a catchphrase on Good Times and he'd go Dyne, oh,
- 19:59Speaker 1: Mike right, Donald Dynamite. He was kid Dynamite. That was his.
- 20:04Speaker 1: That's who he was. He was kid Dynamite like every
- 20:08Speaker 1: good sitcom star. He had a catchphrase and uh and
- 20:11Speaker 1: dino might was his. But he wouldn't say it on
- 20:13Speaker 1: Scrubs unless you like up the rate understandably, like I
- 20:16Speaker 1: get it, pay him, you know. That's like asking Gary
- 20:20Speaker 1: Coleman to say what you're talking about Willis? I imagine
- 20:22Speaker 1: if Gary Coleman come on Scrubs, he would have said, hey,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I'll come on for this speed. But if you want
- 20:26Speaker 1: to what's talking about Willis? It's this about money. There's
- 20:30Speaker 1: a premium from what you're talking about. Willis. Absolutely I
- 20:34Speaker 1: put the money on it. Yeah. Wait, did Gary Coleman
- 20:38Speaker 1: pass two right, Yeah, he did. Wow all three at
- 20:41Speaker 1: least did Jimmy Walker die? No, Jimmy Walker still alive.
- 20:44Speaker 1: But what's interesting that Fred Barry and Gary Coleman. Yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of our favorite sitcom stars
- 20:52Speaker 1: when we were young passed away from either drugs or
- 20:56Speaker 1: you know. The Different Strokes cast has just been the
- 20:59Speaker 1: most trap Jack. I mean, Todd Bridges is my doppel gang.
- 21:04Speaker 1: You're still living. Todd Bridges is still alive. Todd is
- 21:06Speaker 1: still alive, but a lot of the others have had
- 21:10Speaker 1: Todd's had a pretty good career after Different Strokes. He
- 21:14Speaker 1: went on to, I mean, he's been a very good
- 21:17Speaker 1: actor in the projects that he's been in. Different Strokes
- 21:20Speaker 1: so much that was like my favorite child. Absolutely, yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 1: But everything happened to that family, man, Everything happened to
- 21:27Speaker 1: that family. How many times does Arnold get kidnapped? He's
- 21:30Speaker 1: been child molestered, He's all types of things. He got
- 21:33Speaker 1: he was right, but not only was deadly molested. His
- 21:38Speaker 1: dad smoked a lot of cigarettes and had you know
- 21:41Speaker 1: there was a cigarette episode, Like like, everything happened to
- 21:45Speaker 1: that family. And then when nothing else can everything happened
- 21:47Speaker 1: to everybody? Look at the show are like, imagine almost happened.
- 21:51Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, after everything happened to every character
- 21:53Speaker 1: on that show, they went out and got Sam, so
- 21:56Speaker 1: everything could happen to Sam. And Sam was an anomaly.
- 21:59Speaker 1: He was a freaking country singing break dancing. I could
- 22:02Speaker 1: break dance. I played the guitar, Mr d. He was
- 22:05Speaker 1: all of that ship. That is when they brought Sam on,
- 22:08Speaker 1: it was the end. It was the end. That's another
- 22:11Speaker 1: show that went from network that switched networks, trying to
- 22:16Speaker 1: bring it, trying to get the ratings back up because
- 22:18Speaker 1: Gary was such a cute kid, and then when he
- 22:21Speaker 1: got older, they were like, we need a new cute kid,
- 22:23Speaker 1: bringing the red haired country singing kid, the country break dancer.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I don't have any memories of Sam episodes. I think
- 22:31Speaker 1: I teamed out there is I should we get back
- 22:44Speaker 1: to the show Donald absolutely Christa Miller, Holy cow man.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Let's begin with holy cow so hot. Let me tell
- 22:55Speaker 1: you something about Crystal Miller. She was the very first
- 22:58Speaker 1: cover of maxim was it Maximus stuff? I'm looking at
- 23:01Speaker 1: a still of her. She uh to thirty two. She
- 23:04Speaker 1: looks obviously. Bill was like, not only is christa knockout?
- 23:07Speaker 1: But you know the boss was like, all right, I
- 23:09Speaker 1: want the filter, I want the backlight, I want the
- 23:11Speaker 1: slow motion, I want the fan. That's the first time
- 23:13Speaker 1: I want the dolly pushing. Yeah, we did a bunch
- 23:16Speaker 1: on scrubb but like she got the first oh moment
- 23:19Speaker 1: of like hot chip walking in Absolutely. I also noticed
- 23:22Speaker 1: that her character talks exactly the way Cox talked, And
- 23:27Speaker 1: if you go back and watch it, that storyline very
- 23:31Speaker 1: it tracts very well, like when the reveal happens. If
- 23:34Speaker 1: you go back and look at how she talked to
- 23:36Speaker 1: j D before the reveal of them being ex husband
- 23:40Speaker 1: and wife, it's like j D's talking to a female
- 23:44Speaker 1: version of Cox in the in the scene because she's
- 23:47Speaker 1: like just got rattling off the sort of wise as Absolutely,
- 23:51Speaker 1: And it's very quick with and and and and it's funny.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I think she's inspired by Christa herself, if I could
- 23:56Speaker 1: be so bold, because you know christ is a tough scout. Yeah,
- 24:02Speaker 1: it ain't not unsoft about I mean there's a lot
- 24:04Speaker 1: of soft about Christa once you get to know her,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but when you first meet her, yeah, she's a very
- 24:10Speaker 1: she could even scary. Yeah, she she got no problem
- 24:13Speaker 1: and she has no problem letting you know, back the
- 24:16Speaker 1: funk off, dude. Yeah, and she and Bill can both
- 24:20Speaker 1: be snarky. And I used to say, did you guys
- 24:22Speaker 1: meet it mean camp, because but um, so here I am.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I've got this brand new job and I'm so excited.
- 24:31Speaker 1: And read the script and it says that I'm going
- 24:34Speaker 1: to make out with my boss's wife. Did you know
- 24:36Speaker 1: that it was gonna be his wife? I had meant
- 24:39Speaker 1: Christa through Bill at the table read and stuff, and
- 24:43Speaker 1: I knew she was obviously from Drew Kerry and Drew
- 24:45Speaker 1: carry was still going yeah, yeah, absolutely, and and that
- 24:48Speaker 1: show is very popular, and of course she was in
- 24:50Speaker 1: magazines and she's so pretty, and so of course knew
- 24:53Speaker 1: what she was. But I had barely met her, and
- 24:55Speaker 1: I was totally intimidated and scared by her. I remember,
- 24:58Speaker 1: it's kissing, it's not it's funny rewatching the show now,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and it's not in the show, But I remember that
- 25:03Speaker 1: we filmed us making out, and I was so nervous.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I was. I remember being like, this is the weirdest
- 25:09Speaker 1: job in the world. I'm making you out with my
- 25:13Speaker 1: really pretty boss's wife for him. Yeah, and how do
- 25:17Speaker 1: you think he felt about it. That's he liked it
- 25:20Speaker 1: a bit. I think he's a little so I'm gonna
- 25:23Speaker 1: be so bold to say that man's a little kinky. Yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 1: you got a little bit of kickiness. I think he
- 25:27Speaker 1: might like it. I think we get down, we get
- 25:30Speaker 1: insert a budget Joel Bill Lawrence voice note here, got
- 25:33Speaker 1: asked him, did you did you like it a little bit? No,
- 25:36Speaker 1: Zack and Donald. I don't enjoy forcing actors to make
- 25:41Speaker 1: out with my wife on television. I U I enjoy
- 25:45Speaker 1: that in our in our personal lives, but just not
- 25:48Speaker 1: on TV. It was part of the gig though, right,
- 25:51Speaker 1: because I do like I enjoyed watching how uncomfortable Zach
- 25:57Speaker 1: was that first year having to kiss my wife. But
- 26:00Speaker 1: it was all acting, right, Zach's acting because he brought
- 26:04Speaker 1: her back and then made Johnny do the same thing. Yeah,
- 26:06Speaker 1: well Johnny made her in this episode two. Yeah, I
- 26:08Speaker 1: think he was. You know, there's some dudes who are
- 26:10Speaker 1: into that. I think Bill like a smidgeon of that.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I I don't know that I would be. I would
- 26:20Speaker 1: probably be jealous, but yeah, I don't share. I don't
- 26:23Speaker 1: like to share. I wonder if my wife, my wife
- 26:25Speaker 1: says some of the craziest things when when I have
- 26:28Speaker 1: kissing scenes with people, Like I remember my wife being like,
- 26:32Speaker 1: like one time I kissed a girl on television and
- 26:34Speaker 1: she was like, well, that wasn't believable. Like what the
- 26:39Speaker 1: trick with the TV slash movie kiss is not. It's
- 26:42Speaker 1: just to open your mouth, but not be jamming your
- 26:44Speaker 1: tongue in anyone's mouth, right, And for a lot of people,
- 26:48Speaker 1: jamming your tongue in someone's mouth isn't necessarily the way
- 26:53Speaker 1: they like to kiss. So some people in real life
- 26:56Speaker 1: kiss like they kiss on television where it's just an
- 26:58Speaker 1: open mouth kiss. And but have you found with your
- 27:01Speaker 1: movie TV kisses that the onus is on you? I
- 27:04Speaker 1: think is a man to be like all right, um,
- 27:06Speaker 1: well let the female set what this is gonna be.
- 27:10Speaker 1: That's how I think about it. And then sometimes you're like, whoa,
- 27:13Speaker 1: we're you're really going all out. There's a tongue in
- 27:15Speaker 1: my mouth. Right. Somebody told me that they even have
- 27:18Speaker 1: like mediators that come in like people that stage. Now, yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 1: that's a new thing now, which is definitely good because
- 27:26Speaker 1: no one ever knew what to do. And now, of
- 27:27Speaker 1: course in this agents they have people come in and
- 27:30Speaker 1: go Okay, let's all talk about what this is gonna
- 27:31Speaker 1: be and let's choreograph it involved. But when we were
- 27:34Speaker 1: doing this, it was just I would have these different
- 27:36Speaker 1: guest stars. I don't know. I just remember being embarrassed
- 27:39Speaker 1: as I watched some like with any smart Um that
- 27:43Speaker 1: we were just like full on going at it, and
- 27:47Speaker 1: and I was like, this is a sitcom, like we
- 27:49Speaker 1: shouldn't be seeing our tongues like from the side of
- 27:51Speaker 1: our kids. It's a little bit. I was very giddy
- 27:53Speaker 1: about any Smart, I must confess, Yes, you were very
- 27:56Speaker 1: giddy about Amy and if there were tongues flying, I was.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I wanted to be a part of it. I had
- 28:06Speaker 1: such a crush. Yeah you did. That was oh my gosh.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I remember, listen, you have something I've never been so
- 28:12Speaker 1: happy at work. Was that. I was pretty because your
- 28:14Speaker 1: crushed for Amy Smart came well before she was ever
- 28:18Speaker 1: on the show. Mike crush for me Smart went back
- 28:20Speaker 1: to Todd Phillips's movie Road Trip, road Trip, breck and Meyer,
- 28:26Speaker 1: breck and Meyer, Todd Phillips, who is now an OSCAR
- 28:31Speaker 1: nominating director for Hooker for the Joker, Who else is
- 28:35Speaker 1: it that Tom Green's? And then I don't remember the movie.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I just remember being like, wow, that that woman is
- 28:41Speaker 1: so pretty to me. Yeah, well she was on the
- 28:44Speaker 1: was on the shop, and she was she was very funny.
- 28:47Speaker 1: She was very funny, all right, but not in this episode.
- 28:49Speaker 1: But she wasn't in this episode. Sorry, Christa, We're back
- 28:52Speaker 1: to how hot you are? We got we digressed and
- 28:54Speaker 1: started talking about him, this monthing. We gotta have Christo,
- 28:57Speaker 1: by the way, I agree with I think we should
- 28:59Speaker 1: have Johnny and Judy. Course, Johnny, Judy and Christo. We
- 29:02Speaker 1: gotta get We gotta schedule them, try and get Neil
- 29:04Speaker 1: and Ken. It would be really interesting. Let's go through
- 29:07Speaker 1: all the main stars and then and then and then
- 29:11Speaker 1: and start being them directors and writers and well, let's
- 29:13Speaker 1: ask the fans also who they want to see just
- 29:16Speaker 1: drop us, tell us on the social media. Who you
- 29:19Speaker 1: want to hear? Yeah, who you want to hear? We're here, guys,
- 29:21Speaker 1: We'll reach out to anyone. Do you remember the Magic
- 29:25Speaker 1: Garden when we were growing up? Absolutely? Now. I don't
- 29:27Speaker 1: know if you've had this if you're listening where you
- 29:29Speaker 1: grew up, but it was was it like a local
- 29:31Speaker 1: East Coast I feel like it was like a PBS show.
- 29:34Speaker 1: But I'm sure there were so many people who were local.
- 29:38Speaker 1: I don't know because we grew up a half hour
- 29:40Speaker 1: from each other and me and Jersey and him in Manhattan.
- 29:42Speaker 1: But anyway, there was this local show, and I remember
- 29:44Speaker 1: at the end they would go and and she'd have
- 29:47Speaker 1: like a magic class, and she'd look into the camera
- 29:49Speaker 1: and she'd go, N I C Jin and John and
- 29:53Speaker 1: Tony remember, and she would just list off like a
- 29:55Speaker 1: bunch of names, a bunch of names. And of course,
- 29:57Speaker 1: now as an adult, I'm going, oh, the woman was
- 29:59Speaker 1: just listing off the most popular names. So the maximum
- 30:01Speaker 1: amount of kids go, oh my god, she sees she
- 30:05Speaker 1: never said did she ever say Donald? No, well, I
- 30:07Speaker 1: didn't go as Donald as a kid. I was at
- 30:09Speaker 1: dal Shoon, so she probably funny. She's like, I see
- 30:12Speaker 1: Tom and John and a Dale Shoon. I love that show.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I would love that. I gotta YouTube the Magic Guard.
- 30:21Speaker 1: But I remember just being tripped out. So the reason
- 30:22Speaker 1: I thought of that, rand I thought was like, we
- 30:24Speaker 1: could do that with her before we go, Hey, hey, John, Tom, Jennifer, Jessica.
- 30:31Speaker 1: We'd like to hear what you think and then you
- 30:33Speaker 1: gotta say some like different names Moesia, kuan A, Bertha, Tarik,
- 30:41Speaker 1: Malik Tarik, because some people aren't Tarik, some people at Tarik,
- 30:46Speaker 1: some people are Anthony. We've found that out. Yes we
- 30:48Speaker 1: there there is an anphony. Yes, Shalom. I don't know
- 30:52Speaker 1: anybody named Shalan. I do, But that's like as do
- 30:55Speaker 1: you know any white people with the last name Washington?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Do you know? Do you know what white people with
- 31:00Speaker 1: the last name Jefferson Thomas? Yeah, that's saying something, isn't it. Listen,
- 31:08Speaker 1: let's talk about you and me, Mrs Jones. So you're
- 31:11Speaker 1: in the end of the room and you're singing the song.
- 31:13Speaker 1: If it it wasn't really sexy and romantic, I felt
- 31:16Speaker 1: like you and Judy were really gonna gonna make out
- 31:18Speaker 1: for real. There, I was saying. That's I was. I
- 31:20Speaker 1: was gonna say that about the show. Uh, Carla and
- 31:24Speaker 1: Turk are so cute. They're so cute. You really root
- 31:29Speaker 1: for them, And I find myself when I watch it,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I find myself, you know, looking back at it. Obviously
- 31:37Speaker 1: I thought, uh, Judy Reyes was is and still is
- 31:41Speaker 1: an amazing actress. But I looked at her like my sister,
- 31:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And so when we did
- 31:46Speaker 1: the scenes, it was you know, me doing scenes with
- 31:51Speaker 1: my sister. Now that I look back at it, though,
- 31:53Speaker 1: it's like, wow, we had such good chemistry because you did.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I don't think it was like your sister. Your Judy was.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Judy was the type of listen when I look, well, yeah,
- 32:06Speaker 1: when we did scenes and stuff like that. But when
- 32:07Speaker 1: I look back, let me finish. When I look back
- 32:10Speaker 1: at it now, I'm like, yo, dude, I I wonder
- 32:14Speaker 1: why I never looked at Judy. And I know why
- 32:17Speaker 1: because you know, there's there's a saying, never ship where
- 32:19Speaker 1: you eat, you know what I mean. That's the honest
- 32:21Speaker 1: you can allow yourself to fall in love or or
- 32:25Speaker 1: to feel that type of way. But when I look
- 32:27Speaker 1: back at it now, I'm like, holy cow, Judy was
- 32:30Speaker 1: there this whole time. Oh like, well, not only that,
- 32:35Speaker 1: she's just such an amazing actress, you know what I mean.
- 32:38Speaker 1: And she played Carlos, so you know so well, you know,
- 32:43Speaker 1: she spoke for a lot of people. You know, Judy
- 32:45Speaker 1: did for nurses for for at the time, there won
- 32:49Speaker 1: a lot of latinas on television, you know what I mean.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It was like j Lo and that's it. Dude, you
- 32:54Speaker 1: know what I mean, twenty years ago, and Judy was
- 32:57Speaker 1: the other one, you know what I mean, And so
- 32:59Speaker 1: you know, big ops to Judy reyes Man. You also
- 33:02Speaker 1: wanted to say that it's interesting in this episode that
- 33:04Speaker 1: both women are really in charge of of their sexuality
- 33:11Speaker 1: and their power in the bedrooms. I just noticed that
- 33:14Speaker 1: there's a parallel in this. Both Carla and Jordan's are
- 33:19Speaker 1: calling the shots in these sexual encounters. But that's how
- 33:23Speaker 1: it should be, you know what I mean. If we're
- 33:25Speaker 1: in it's together, we're all doing this. You know what
- 33:27Speaker 1: I mean. Well, I mean it could be however a
- 33:29Speaker 1: couple wants it. But I'm just saying I noted just
- 33:32Speaker 1: in this episode that there's there's there's some of these
- 33:34Speaker 1: parallel stories of of of strong women in the bedroom
- 33:39Speaker 1: and and Jordan's says to j D you had absolutely
- 33:42Speaker 1: nothing to do with why I left with you. I
- 33:43Speaker 1: thought that was funny. I thought that was hilarious. When
- 33:45Speaker 1: she's given you the whole spitch, She's like, you know,
- 33:47Speaker 1: you meet someone and you hope that it goes something.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry, got a date. Um. I also a loud
- 33:55Speaker 1: I laughed out loud at four few one when you
- 33:56Speaker 1: said put the game down, telling them, but I let
- 34:00Speaker 1: to put that cane down. I had no recollection of that.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I don't remember that at all. That ship had me rolling.
- 34:08Speaker 1: You don't remember that woman at all. No, I know that,
- 34:10Speaker 1: I know that the character passes away later on. I
- 34:12Speaker 1: do know that Boilers. I mean, if you haven't watched
- 34:15Speaker 1: the show, I think if you listening, he watched the show.
- 34:19Speaker 1: That was funny, put the cane down, tell her to
- 34:22Speaker 1: put the cane down. Um. Also, Elliott sees the janitor
- 34:26Speaker 1: and the whole an I told you that little freaking
- 34:29Speaker 1: the janitor is a figment of Jad's imagination. It doesn't
- 34:33Speaker 1: track Donald, I know, and I'm sad about it because
- 34:36Speaker 1: it was a beautiful lure and I don't poke holes
- 34:39Speaker 1: in in in in the lure that I feel like
- 34:42Speaker 1: Bill himself has propagated. But he doesn't remember all these
- 34:44Speaker 1: little moments. And you know what Sarah told every We've
- 34:48Speaker 1: all been saying the season one, he didn't talk to anyone,
- 34:51Speaker 1: and he doesn't really, but he does interact with Sarah.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I wrote it down. Donald's absolutely because what she does
- 34:57Speaker 1: triggers him to do what he does to you up
- 35:01Speaker 1: and so I'm sorry, I'm sad to say we are.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I feel like we're like detectives and we're uncovering the truth. Absolutely,
- 35:10Speaker 1: that little that little bit of scrubs lore bullshit. Well
- 35:14Speaker 1: not only that, they also set up something that goes
- 35:18Speaker 1: away for a while, but Elliott's relationship with her mom.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Also Elliott talking to her mom on the on the
- 35:25Speaker 1: telephone and her mom talking about how short hair gives
- 35:28Speaker 1: her pig face. But later on we bring in Marky
- 35:33Speaker 1: Post absolutely to play Elliott's mom, and the storyline still
- 35:39Speaker 1: works from that phone call. But they set it up
- 35:42Speaker 1: in this phone call. I don't know how many episodes later,
- 35:45Speaker 1: or how many might even been seasons when Markey comes on.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I forgot when that happens when all our parents come.
- 35:50Speaker 1: But yeah, so you're getting back story on Sarah. And
- 35:54Speaker 1: also there's a big thing in this episode about therapy.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I mean, I was watching you give like a advocates
- 36:00Speaker 1: for therapy in this episode, and I thought I was
- 36:02Speaker 1: just watching this, going that's a good public service announcement
- 36:05Speaker 1: for people to hear, you know, from from a character
- 36:08Speaker 1: they like this is two thousand and one, um and um.
- 36:12Speaker 1: And I think it's depending on how you grow I
- 36:14Speaker 1: happen to grow up with my mom was a psychologist
- 36:17Speaker 1: and my stepfather was a psychologist. I had therapy all
- 36:19Speaker 1: over my life. But depending on how you grew up,
- 36:22Speaker 1: there can be stigma around it. And I and I
- 36:24Speaker 1: was happy to see that that Bill and the writers
- 36:27Speaker 1: wrote in this sort of advocacy for for seeing a therapist. Oh,
- 36:31Speaker 1: I totally agree. It's really interesting how you know, it's
- 36:35Speaker 1: twenty years ago, but we're still talking about issues that
- 36:38Speaker 1: are really important today. And I know we bring this
- 36:41Speaker 1: up a lot, but I'm really proud of that. You know,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm really proud to be on a show that that
- 36:46Speaker 1: did that. Even every time I see something like that,
- 36:48Speaker 1: I'm like, holy cow, we were talking about that well before,
- 36:52Speaker 1: like even talking about The Rock and how the Rock
- 36:55Speaker 1: was a movie star. I'm proud that we knew that
- 36:58Speaker 1: back then we called it you and I mean, I'm
- 37:00Speaker 1: I'm so I I am so happy that we knew
- 37:04Speaker 1: what the heck we were talking about. The Simpsons do
- 37:07Speaker 1: it a lot. Oh yeah, they always forecast. Well anyway,
- 37:11Speaker 1: you know, Donald and I both believe in in in therapy.
- 37:14Speaker 1: So if you're we're here to say, we're here to
- 37:17Speaker 1: say that if you're having trouble and you need help,
- 37:19Speaker 1: you should please see a therapist now. Because it's there's
- 37:22Speaker 1: been plenty of times in my life for that has
- 37:25Speaker 1: been very very helpful to me to get me through
- 37:27Speaker 1: some some rocky times. And as a as a as
- 37:31Speaker 1: a son of a of two therapists psychologists, I have
- 37:35Speaker 1: to repeat, but it's been very helpful for me at times,
- 37:39Speaker 1: and it seems to really work for Elliott, who's having
- 37:42Speaker 1: a really hard time in this episode. That was funny.
- 37:45Speaker 1: That guy did a good job the whole you gotta hear,
- 37:49Speaker 1: I can't talk. He's got Elliott's sitting there asking for
- 37:52Speaker 1: free therapy. That joke is hilarious. How does it make
- 37:56Speaker 1: you feel? She goes, I don't know what makes me feel,
- 37:58Speaker 1: and then he puts up the side pain pills. He says, no,
- 38:01Speaker 1: I don't. I don't need to do pain pills. He's like,
- 38:03Speaker 1: for me, it's funny. I laughed at sixteen when Ken goes, heck,
- 38:10Speaker 1: maybe right, but that's such a such a smart joke.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Explain to the young folks that Charo was often on
- 38:18Speaker 1: the show love Boat, and he's making it. We got
- 38:20Speaker 1: a lot of eight TV recordces in this episode, absolutely
- 38:23Speaker 1: but he But it's such a smart joke also because
- 38:27Speaker 1: you know, that's one of those shows where the doctor
- 38:29Speaker 1: on the ship cares about everyone on the boat and
- 38:33Speaker 1: wants to make sure that everyone on the boat lives
- 38:36Speaker 1: right and or whatever it is, it's healthy, etcetera. And
- 38:39Speaker 1: Cox got suspended for breaking the rules and caring about
- 38:44Speaker 1: his patient, and so the joke goes even deeper when
- 38:47Speaker 1: he says to him, you know, maybe you should get
- 38:50Speaker 1: on a cruise ship. I don't know. They could call
- 38:51Speaker 1: you Doc, and you guys could sail in from wherever
- 38:54Speaker 1: to wherever and you can maybe even meet Charo. That
- 38:57Speaker 1: makes so much sense to the character itself, and the
- 39:02Speaker 1: joke is funny also, you know what I mean, Like
- 39:04Speaker 1: it all blends. We end up having a lot of
- 39:06Speaker 1: love boat Doc. Yeah, we did have some love. We
- 39:09Speaker 1: had Doc, We had Isaac, we had I know they
- 39:12Speaker 1: were on the show. Yeah, okay, we also had sat Elsewhere.
- 39:15Speaker 1: We had some of the oh yeah, we did the
- 39:17Speaker 1: whole episodes with with Ed Begley. We had a bunch
- 39:20Speaker 1: of people. All right, See this is our memory. So
- 39:23Speaker 1: screwed Scrubs fans. So sorry if you're if you're laughing,
- 39:25Speaker 1: and we don't, but we vaguely do. Yeah, So it
- 39:28Speaker 1: seven Ken walks Off singing Roy your Boat. And for
- 39:31Speaker 1: those you don't know, there's this all these songs that
- 39:33Speaker 1: are public domain, which means you don't have to pay
- 39:35Speaker 1: to use them because on a TV show, if it's
- 39:38Speaker 1: if it's if it's not a public domain song if
- 39:41Speaker 1: the license it, and they can obviously be. Some of
- 39:43Speaker 1: these songs we had on scribers can be super expensive.
- 39:46Speaker 1: But there's like this list of songs that that we
- 39:48Speaker 1: always had the scriptsy providers are always had and we
- 39:51Speaker 1: just wanted to sponsaneously had someone singing something you can like.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Look at the free song list and row row your
- 39:57Speaker 1: Boat is one of them. I was looking at some
- 39:58Speaker 1: of the others for a very long time. Happy Birthday
- 40:02Speaker 1: was not public domain and it was expensive. I think
- 40:05Speaker 1: it's a crap ton of money. It's since change, but
- 40:08Speaker 1: that's the reason why Stevie Wonder wrote the song Happy
- 40:11Speaker 1: Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday that
- 40:19Speaker 1: originally it was from Martin Luther King, and I believe
- 40:22Speaker 1: he wanted to just sing the original Happy Birthday song,
- 40:25Speaker 1: but it costs so much money that Stevie was like, Yo,
- 40:27Speaker 1: you know what, I'll create another song, and he created
- 40:30Speaker 1: Happy Birthday to you Happy. I have no idea if
- 40:35Speaker 1: that's true, but I don't know either, but it sounds true.
- 40:37Speaker 1: But listen if you're ever watching TV shows or movies now,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and you'll see a lot of times when they bring
- 40:41Speaker 1: the cake in, they'll avoid singing Happy Birthday. They'll sing
- 40:45Speaker 1: like for he's a jolly good hello, or they do
- 40:47Speaker 1: something that's so not natural to what most in the
- 40:51Speaker 1: real world. It is because they're avoiding having to pay
- 40:53Speaker 1: for Happy Birthday. Although that's since change. I think now
- 40:55Speaker 1: it's become public domain. Anyway, you guys can google public
- 40:58Speaker 1: domain songs and learn which ones are Okay, So, but
- 41:01Speaker 1: check this out. Did you realize that there are people
- 41:04Speaker 1: in the bed and the title sequence? I can't do
- 41:07Speaker 1: this all on my own. They're like, there are people
- 41:12Speaker 1: in the beds and you see their faces. For Scrubs
- 41:16Speaker 1: fans out there, I would love if you were able
- 41:20Speaker 1: to find who those people were in the bed in
- 41:24Speaker 1: the title sequence, because they did not. They had nine
- 41:27Speaker 1: years on television and I don't think anyone's ever asked
- 41:31Speaker 1: who aldose people in the bed. Can you really make
- 41:33Speaker 1: out any faces? I'm scrolling through it slow right now?
- 41:35Speaker 1: You can make out faces? Yes? Well, there you go.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Donald has a request if you're in the title sequence
- 41:41Speaker 1: in bed, if you're into Scrubs trivia, I have the
- 41:46Speaker 1: ultimate trivia for you. Who are the patients in the
- 41:51Speaker 1: bed in the title sequence? I have some This is
- 41:54Speaker 1: the first episode where we learned that Cox's name is
- 41:57Speaker 1: Perry nice Um. There's another episode all of it's called
- 42:01Speaker 1: My Bad two spelled t O O, like, look who's
- 42:05Speaker 1: talking to The footage at the end of Jordan's winning
- 42:09Speaker 1: is actually from Bill and Christa's wedding. Did you know that?
- 42:13Speaker 1: I figured that out? That was pretty easy to Also,
- 42:16Speaker 1: that's I guess he's not watching it on television. So
- 42:20Speaker 1: is this a fantasy that Dr Cox has early on?
- 42:24Speaker 1: It must be a flashback? That's interesting. That's the interesting point.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Did other people have flashbacks besides j D It looks
- 42:31Speaker 1: like Perry did. Perry Perry Cox did um. I liked
- 42:35Speaker 1: theres a homage to the graduate at ten minutes in
- 42:38Speaker 1: one second, when I dropped my pants and through my
- 42:42Speaker 1: legs to see Jordan's and her leather dress A Mark
- 42:46Speaker 1: Buckland homage to the Graduate. Nice and I looked very
- 42:51Speaker 1: skinny when I'm when on lyne on the bed. I
- 42:53Speaker 1: was happy about that. It's really interesting when you're twenty
- 42:56Speaker 1: six years old. When you're twenty six years old, they
- 42:58Speaker 1: get abs. Well you back at I look back at
- 43:01Speaker 1: all this stuff. I was like, I remember dieting and
- 43:03Speaker 1: going to the gym all the time and trying to
- 43:06Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I killed to weigh that
- 43:08Speaker 1: much again. It's so hard to You can work so
- 43:12Speaker 1: much harder to so much less effect in your forties. Yeah. Yeah,
- 43:18Speaker 1: love handles fucking left and right. Love handle ship. I
- 43:21Speaker 1: eat a cookie, that ship stays on my ass, look
- 43:23Speaker 1: like a melted candle. I'm trying, though. Do you find
- 43:28Speaker 1: when you're doing scenes and you're in your boxers that
- 43:30Speaker 1: there's a there's a fine line between not wanting to
- 43:34Speaker 1: look like there's nothing going on but also not wanting
- 43:37Speaker 1: to overdo it. You don't have that problem. I looked
- 43:40Speaker 1: at your face. I knew your answer was gonna never
- 43:44Speaker 1: have that problem. I've never thought about. Are you talking
- 43:47Speaker 1: about fluffing? You're talking about fluffing. I don't mean to
- 43:49Speaker 1: getting any blood going. I just mean, like when I
- 43:51Speaker 1: was looking at myself lying on the bed there, I
- 43:53Speaker 1: think I remember being like, okay, well I don't obviously
- 43:55Speaker 1: don't want any thing to show, but I also don't
- 43:57Speaker 1: I don't look like I'm like a ken doll, So like,
- 43:59Speaker 1: is there a happy medium where I can What are
- 44:02Speaker 1: you looking at me? I just was cracking up. Now
- 44:08Speaker 1: I'm so sad that you're like, I have no idea. No,
- 44:10Speaker 1: I just want to know what you figured out? What
- 44:11Speaker 1: did you decide to do? I think I gave every
- 44:13Speaker 1: said moment. I think I gave everything a little ruffle.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. Let's get
- 44:22Speaker 1: everything a wrong. Let's call down, let's cool town and
- 44:30Speaker 1: take a commercial friend. Let's do it, and we are back,
- 44:41Speaker 1: and we're back with the caller. Well, introduce us to
- 44:44Speaker 1: today's college. It looks like there's two college. Joel will
- 44:47Speaker 1: give it to us. Susan brought a friend. Susan bought
- 44:52Speaker 1: a friend. It's like a millionaire. You can bring a
- 44:55Speaker 1: friend called a friend. I had to bring a husband.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I love it. Are you are for Scottish? Damn it?
- 45:02Speaker 1: I always get that normal. I'm so sorry. Hi, guys. Hi,
- 45:08Speaker 1: I've been drinking all day, so sorry, Oh no, love,
- 45:11Speaker 1: it's Oh. I love your accent. I'm such a fan
- 45:18Speaker 1: of that accent. Okay, go ahead with your question for
- 45:22Speaker 1: the legendary Donald phase On or me eachever one. Yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 1: for both of you. You've mentioned in podcast two that
- 45:28Speaker 1: you didn't get to steal Rowdy or take row Day.
- 45:31Speaker 1: But what did you take from the sets? It must
- 45:34Speaker 1: have taken something. I got something I can grab for you. Donald,
- 45:37Speaker 1: Did you take anything? I did? But I don't know
- 45:39Speaker 1: where they are anymore. I did get quite a few scrubs,
- 45:43Speaker 1: the green ones, and I do have some sneakers from
- 45:47Speaker 1: the show as well. Yes, shoes. I don't have the
- 45:50Speaker 1: bowling shoes on four. You see these antlers. These are
- 45:53Speaker 1: from the pilot when I was a deer in headlights.
- 45:56Speaker 1: So these are actually the scrubs. Donald did his closets
- 45:59Speaker 1: and just reached down to the ga. These shoes right
- 46:04Speaker 1: here are the actual Scrubs rap party shoes that they
- 46:08Speaker 1: gave us. Those are limited edition and you wore them.
- 46:10Speaker 1: I don't mind, or mine are mint. Oh my gosh,
- 46:12Speaker 1: she's reworn, you know. Yeah, I didn't wear your own
- 46:16Speaker 1: swag it's a little lame. Well, it's fuck you man.
- 46:19Speaker 1: First of all, it says Scrubs in the back and
- 46:22Speaker 1: it's the hundredth episode and I did rock them. I
- 46:25Speaker 1: never like when you're an actor on the show you
- 46:27Speaker 1: can't normally wear like the swell. You look a little
- 46:30Speaker 1: douche wearing like the scrub sneakers. Oh man, I still
- 46:33Speaker 1: have pants from from Scrubs that I wore a pair
- 46:36Speaker 1: of pants for a real long time. Like, uh, most
- 46:40Speaker 1: of so, Susan, to answer your question, most of the
- 46:42Speaker 1: stuff that I got from Scrubs was, uh, wardrobe because
- 46:48Speaker 1: it was easy. It's easy to steal wardrobe. Quiet has
- 46:51Speaker 1: kept when you're acting in a project on the last day,
- 46:55Speaker 1: when you know you're never gonna see anybody again, you
- 46:58Speaker 1: can get away with some things if the wardrobe department
- 47:01Speaker 1: is cool with it and most likely isn't going to
- 47:03Speaker 1: be the stuff that you wore in the show, but
- 47:05Speaker 1: it's stuff that, uh, they'll probably have to return or
- 47:09Speaker 1: something like that, and they'll take the hit. I stole
- 47:12Speaker 1: a lot of I didn't steal. Actually I took and
- 47:14Speaker 1: it was allowed to take. A liberated quite a few
- 47:18Speaker 1: outfits of Chris Turks and most of them were scrubs
- 47:22Speaker 1: when you're hanging, when you're hanging behind him. So do
- 47:26Speaker 1: you have another question in my head? First of all,
- 47:28Speaker 1: you guys are so cute. How's your isolation going over
- 47:33Speaker 1: there in Scotland? Yeah, this is our fourth week and
- 47:38Speaker 1: it's tough. But the way that's good at the moment,
- 47:41Speaker 1: So that's helpful helps. Yes, that's happened to us in
- 47:46Speaker 1: Los Angeles as well. It's been raining NonStop and the
- 47:48Speaker 1: sun finally came out, so I think we can. It's
- 47:50Speaker 1: a little bit easier to smile when the on the
- 47:52Speaker 1: sun's bide. Oh yeah, just to be glad when it's
- 47:54Speaker 1: all over. Do you guys ever get drunk and relive
- 47:59Speaker 1: all skates? She's like the Sanford and Songs one because
- 48:02Speaker 1: I just mean, that's my husband's favorite me my son.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Do you do the song? Donald? Can you do a
- 48:10Speaker 1: little bit for There's there's there's the there's the Sanford
- 48:14Speaker 1: in some theme, and then there's the Turk version when
- 48:17Speaker 1: Carla won't when Carla won't leave him alone? Remember, quiet down,
- 48:21Speaker 1: Now it is time to wash the show. Yes, it started.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Don't be licking me no more? Matter fact? Can I
- 48:30Speaker 1: get a handy why Dad, Dad Dad, And then we
- 48:42Speaker 1: come back from break after we sang it just you
- 48:46Speaker 1: do like Sanford and Son, Bran Brana, Braw Brown Bam
- 48:58Speaker 1: bam bam fa and you even did Elizabeth I'm coming. Yeah,
- 49:06Speaker 1: he said he used to diet almost every episode, like,
- 49:12Speaker 1: it's not a program where you paddle over here at all.
- 49:14Speaker 1: So we had to google the obviously, the credits to
- 49:18Speaker 1: find out what the originals really. I think I know
- 49:22Speaker 1: what you guys are doing tonight. You're gonna go on
- 49:24Speaker 1: YouTube or wherever and start watching some Sandford and Son.
- 49:26Speaker 1: A Sanford and Son marathon. Sounds great right now? Actually,
- 49:30Speaker 1: nothing else to do. Yeah, it's uh, listen if you
- 49:33Speaker 1: want to laugh. And nothing like Red Fox going at it.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. He's one of the I mean Red Foxes.
- 49:42Speaker 1: He was before Richard pryor before Eddie Murphy. It was
- 49:46Speaker 1: read you know what I mean. So really the theme
- 49:49Speaker 1: to this sub podcast episode of of eighties eighties sitcoms. Yeah,
- 49:53Speaker 1: well that's the seventies sitcom. I think I'm really proud
- 49:56Speaker 1: of us that we we we we developed a theme
- 49:58Speaker 1: for this one. Absolutely, all right, guys, Well, thank you
- 50:01Speaker 1: for calling in all the way from Scotland and keep
- 50:03Speaker 1: drinking and stay safe, stay healthy. We wanted you to
- 50:08Speaker 1: get drunk and watch Stanford and you'll thank us. Oh man,
- 50:16Speaker 1: I couldn't get the Irish Scottish thing right. That's that's
- 50:18Speaker 1: what you never do. You're going to get so much
- 50:20Speaker 1: for that. I'm so upset you never do due to
- 50:23Speaker 1: all my people of Ireland and Scotland. I'm sorry. One
- 50:26Speaker 1: day I planned to get it right. You took a picture. Hush, Susan.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Susan took a picture trying to sneak out the door
- 50:34Speaker 1: by taking a figure. It's all right, don't worried about it.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I would have fixed my hair, Susan. I don't worry
- 50:38Speaker 1: about it. I did not put in the prontuctli. No,
- 50:42Speaker 1: it didn't click. We just heard it. We just heard it.
- 50:44Speaker 1: But I'm sorry. I don't worry about Susan. You could
- 50:45Speaker 1: post it on Instagram or Facebook or whatever it is
- 50:48Speaker 1: that you have. Just be like, look what show we
- 50:53Speaker 1: were on. We've loved the press. Thank you very much.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Thank you later. I love having couples. You were like adorable.
- 51:04Speaker 1: They were so cute. I want to be friends with them.
- 51:06Speaker 1: He totally jacked that. She was like, I'm gonna be
- 51:08Speaker 1: I got it, I got it, I got it. He
- 51:10Speaker 1: was like, we're sitting there in Scotland and quarantine there.
- 51:12Speaker 1: He's not gonna be like, oh, I'll go in the
- 51:13Speaker 1: other room. He's like, yeah, let me on that zoom call. Yeah,
- 51:16Speaker 1: you know, he's like, you know, you know, you know
- 51:21Speaker 1: what we're doing at one? You know what we're doing
- 51:23Speaker 1: it one? Not at one? What time is it there?
- 51:25Speaker 1: It's it's like eight hour differences, eight hours, right, it's
- 51:30Speaker 1: you know, we're doing a tin. You know what we're doing?
- 51:32Speaker 1: A tin? Was a surprise. Maybe she didn't tell him.
- 51:35Speaker 1: She's like, we're gonna zoom some old friends. He was
- 51:38Speaker 1: the cob. That was the calms reaction. Well they were.
- 51:41Speaker 1: She said, they've been drinking all day. That's true, Like
- 51:43Speaker 1: you are you drinking orange j That's a fucking mimosa.
- 51:47Speaker 1: It's gotta be this is orange juice. Is there any
- 51:51Speaker 1: screw in that driver? There is no screw, but there
- 51:54Speaker 1: is tekey. What's that called orange juice? To keep? To
- 52:00Speaker 1: kill a sunrise? Right? The sunrise? Okay, um, I think
- 52:05Speaker 1: it's such a funked up thing. At sixteen three, to
- 52:07Speaker 1: say someone to someone, I don't dislike you. I nothing you. Yeah,
- 52:12Speaker 1: And that's a that's an actual Christa Miller is saying, yes,
- 52:16Speaker 1: I have no feelings for you. Let you don't understand
- 52:19Speaker 1: you so little affect me that I don't even have energy,
- 52:22Speaker 1: I don't write, I don't even I don't even have
- 52:24Speaker 1: feelings of not liking you. I just I just don't
- 52:26Speaker 1: think about nothing you. I don't even think about you.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Remember christ Remember Christal telling me she was like, you,
- 52:31Speaker 1: if you ever want to hurt someone, she handed up.
- 52:36Speaker 1: She was like, this is how you do it. She
- 52:38Speaker 1: was like, I've always thought this was the funniest way
- 52:40Speaker 1: to do it. I don't dislike you. I'm nothing you
- 52:43Speaker 1: nothing you I don't know you know. We don't advise
- 52:47Speaker 1: you being that mean to anyone in your life. That's
- 52:50Speaker 1: COVID Doctor's Real Friends podcast. But it's the television show.
- 52:53Speaker 1: It's a great joke. No, I'm just saying something to
- 52:56Speaker 1: say to someone. Yeah. Remember we had a whole riff
- 52:59Speaker 1: on like what's the worst thing that someone could ever
- 53:01Speaker 1: say to you? And it was like, would you just
- 53:04Speaker 1: please leave? He's like, oh my gosh, sw not. We
- 53:11Speaker 1: like we like zoned in on like, what's the like
- 53:13Speaker 1: if someone just looks at you, it just says you
- 53:16Speaker 1: just please leave. That was horrible. Sean Hayes has a
- 53:22Speaker 1: good one too, where you know where you're talking to
- 53:25Speaker 1: someone and you don't want to talk to someone who's approaching,
- 53:30Speaker 1: and they approach and you turned in and go, you're
- 53:33Speaker 1: gonna have to give me a second, and you turned
- 53:35Speaker 1: back to the person you were talking to. Yeah, he
- 53:38Speaker 1: had a lot of funny ones where you go someone interrupted,
- 53:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not used to be interrupted. Um, I
- 53:46Speaker 1: thought that was you dude. You stole that one. St
- 53:48Speaker 1: that from Shawn Hayes. That's a good thing up. He's
- 53:51Speaker 1: coming up in an episode. I can't wait. That was
- 53:54Speaker 1: season one, right? It definitely was season one because it
- 53:56Speaker 1: happened the same September eleven, September eleven. Ye. The song
- 54:01Speaker 1: that ends the show is a Good Life stunner. Yes,
- 54:04Speaker 1: can I say something please? I've been bumping Good Life
- 54:08Speaker 1: in my car for the past and on my iPad
- 54:11Speaker 1: or I phone, whatever it is, my whatever, wherever it is.
- 54:15Speaker 1: You listen to your music, wherever it is, uses to
- 54:18Speaker 1: your music. I have been bumping Good Life for about
- 54:22Speaker 1: two years now, and I thought I found some deep
- 54:25Speaker 1: cut on a not the best of playlist, but you know,
- 54:28Speaker 1: like the you know how they have the eighties now
- 54:30Speaker 1: music and they have like the love song from the
- 54:34Speaker 1: eighties or love songs from the Coast or whatever it is,
- 54:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I thought I found a
- 54:39Speaker 1: deep cut and it was good life, And then when
- 54:42Speaker 1: it came on today, I was like, this is where
- 54:44Speaker 1: I know the song from. It's a great song, and
- 54:46Speaker 1: like like like you, I think a lot of people
- 54:49Speaker 1: found some good tunes on scrubs. And just a reminder
- 54:53Speaker 1: for those of you who don't know UM on streaming
- 54:56Speaker 1: platforms at least have all the same songs that we
- 54:58Speaker 1: reference on this podcast because of licensing deals. And these
- 55:01Speaker 1: were all contracts that were signed before streaming existed, so
- 55:06Speaker 1: it's really only on if you buy it iTunes or
- 55:09Speaker 1: the DVDs. I'm not telling you to buy it, we
- 55:11Speaker 1: don't care, but I'm just saying that some of the
- 55:13Speaker 1: music might be different, so you might be listening to
- 55:15Speaker 1: something that's not Francis dunnering if you're streaming it because
- 55:19Speaker 1: some of the songs didn't have contracts that lasted until
- 55:22Speaker 1: well this was on Hulu that I heard this, So
- 55:25Speaker 1: so that's the episode that was that was what else
- 55:28Speaker 1: are you gonna say? I'm trying to think. I'm trying
- 55:30Speaker 1: to think if I had anything else. How many times
- 55:32Speaker 1: have they used the inside the mouth shot to somebody
- 55:35Speaker 1: saying say now, say ah? You know? Is that? That
- 55:38Speaker 1: was definitely one of the Mark Buckling the trick shots.
- 55:40Speaker 1: There's also a close up shot of Jordan with the mirror.
- 55:42Speaker 1: There's also the sideways shot of Sarah from the from
- 55:45Speaker 1: the Psychologists, a lot of cookie fun Mark. I thought
- 55:49Speaker 1: that was really cool. I think like the only time
- 55:51Speaker 1: that I've ever seen that was like Little Shapa Horrors.
- 55:54Speaker 1: When Steve Martin is looking in the person's mouth, He's
- 55:56Speaker 1: like say ah, like wrap up this episode. You wanted
- 56:01Speaker 1: to go back to the very first shot, the very
- 56:03Speaker 1: first shot of the episode, start at the very beginning.
- 56:08Speaker 1: You love that reference. I love you. I love you too, man,
- 56:11Speaker 1: I miss you man, I really do you know? I
- 56:14Speaker 1: I I dream and hope that this will all be
- 56:18Speaker 1: over soon, you know, and we can sit in the studio.
- 56:21Speaker 1: It would be great to do this sitting across from
- 56:24Speaker 1: each other, and we could offer each other snacks. Yeah,
- 56:27Speaker 1: maybe drink a Coca cola together. You can offer me
- 56:30Speaker 1: a tequila sunrise or although I'm not day drinking yet today,
- 56:35Speaker 1: although I probably will in a bit because the sun's out,
- 56:37Speaker 1: there might be time for an ice cold beverage. You know.
- 56:41Speaker 1: They say that during this uh pandemic quarantine, a lot
- 56:45Speaker 1: of people are playing video games, drinking, smoking a lot
- 56:48Speaker 1: of weed, and eating. I love that marijuana in the
- 56:53Speaker 1: at least Los Angeles has been considered an essential service.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Of course, I respect that some people do for medicine
- 57:00Speaker 1: and it is UH required to help them. But for
- 57:04Speaker 1: Donal and I, who don't always use it for medical purposes,
- 57:08Speaker 1: we occasionally find ourselves using it for recreational services. I
- 57:13Speaker 1: do appreciate that the weed stores are all open. You know.
- 57:17Speaker 1: It definitely calms the spirit. Yeah, you know what, when
- 57:20Speaker 1: you need to take a little bit of anxiety edge off.
- 57:24Speaker 1: We're not endorsing it, but if anybody out there has
- 57:26Speaker 1: a weed company it once to sponsor our show, we'd
- 57:32Speaker 1: be more than happy to first try your product. This
- 57:39Speaker 1: is drug deals gone down on zoom. I don't know
- 57:43Speaker 1: if he's an I don't know if there's any weed
- 57:45Speaker 1: distributors advertising on podcast. But we'll soon find out, won't
- 57:49Speaker 1: we do? This is three two seven dude? Enough enough, Okay, sorry,
- 57:57Speaker 1: Hey fans, we love you. If you're a health worker
- 57:59Speaker 1: on the front lines, thank you so much for everything
- 58:01Speaker 1: you're doing and for your courage. Whether you're a nurse
- 58:04Speaker 1: or a doctor, or a janitor or a medic, or
- 58:06Speaker 1: a cop or a fireman, we are grateful to you
- 58:10Speaker 1: for being so brave during this time. Yes, we are
- 58:13Speaker 1: absolutely very grateful to all of the people that work
- 58:16Speaker 1: in the grocery stores and put themselves in the virus
- 58:20Speaker 1: is way by putting out food and helping people at
- 58:24Speaker 1: the grocery stores or uh, we thank you as well.
- 58:27Speaker 1: You you guys are all heroes to us, and thank you.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Thank you so so, so so much for your service
- 58:34Speaker 1: as thank you so much. And to the brave souls
- 58:36Speaker 1: manning all the pot shops in Los Angeles, thank you.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Donald's thanks stories about show we paid nurses and janitor stories.
- 58:56Speaker 1: So get around here, are ye around to hear viscru
- 59:01Speaker 1: free watch you wi and then d mm hmm
