- 0:04Hi. I'm Jay Fallon and thank you for
- 0:06listening to the slippery slope. So for a while now I've been
- 0:11talking about electric vehicles and how I believe they are going
- 0:14to affect our lives and the negative impact, I believe that
- 0:19they will have upon the ordinary Citizen.
- 0:22And also, I believe I've been raising the alarm because I
- 0:25believe that electric vehicles will be used as a power grab by
- 0:29government. It's to place further
- 0:31restrictions upon the ordinary citizens lives.
- 0:36Now, I want to read this headline, I'll read this article
- 0:39to you from the Daily Mail. The headline says calls to
- 0:43impose. Severe penalties on Australians
- 0:46who buy petrol or diesel cars. Now listen the beauty with
- 0:50petrol and diesel cars. Is that you can get up and go
- 0:54for a drive whenever wherever you like.
- 0:57It's not a matter of coming home and charging.
- 1:00When you're out and about, you know, if you need fuel you can
- 1:02stop in get fuel and only takes a couple of minutes to pour
- 1:06fuel. You know.
- 1:08Have it have it. Put into your vehicle as long as
- 1:11you can pay for it. You'll fine.
- 1:12And I don't believe that we should be penalized because we
- 1:16choose to have one of these vehicles.
- 1:19However, this will not will turn, that's not what other
- 1:22people are starting to say. If you don't have an electric
- 1:25vehicle, apparently, you're a bad person you should be
- 1:29penalized. Allies.
- 1:30So, in the article says, Australians could be slapped
- 1:33with a four thousand dollar penalty for buying a four-wheel
- 1:36drive, as a billionaire calls for a dramatic surge in electric
- 1:41vehicles, to tackle climate change.
- 1:43Don't you love it? When you have a billion, are you
- 1:45sticking his nose into into, you know, the general politics of
- 1:50the nation and starts telling normal citizens what they should
- 1:54do? I love those doing this anyway,
- 1:57since TVs in 2022 so far, have a minuscule market share of just
- 2:02one point six percent and the all-electric SUVs that are
- 2:06available from Tesla BMW and Audi cost at least six figures
- 2:12with no Utes available. So Griffith University, tax law,
- 2:16experts. And you know what, I think when
- 2:19people are referred to as experts, anyway, dr.
- 2:22Anna mortem, or has suggested a Australia will have to copy New
- 2:26Zealand and impose severe penalties on those who bought a
- 2:30new petrol-powered car. If it wanted to boost EV uptake
- 2:35to Kiwi levels. Well, yeah, and that makes sense
- 2:38why not why not copy the country that financially economically is
- 2:44starting to go backwards. So yeah, we definitely should
- 2:47copy the kiwis anyway software, billionaire, Mike Ken and
- 2:52Brooks, you know, the software billionaire who's We all need to
- 2:55know he's opinion on everything he wants.
- 2:58Australians, he wants Australia's EV to hit 10 percent
- 3:02by 2020 for well. Good on you Mike, a five-fold
- 3:06increase on current levels. Most new cars.
- 3:09Sold in Australia, our SUVs overwhelmingly available with
- 3:12either a petrol or diesel motor Australia's two best sellers are
- 3:17also youths with no, all electric model available with
- 3:20the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger go.
- 3:23The Ford Ranger I happen to own a Ford Ranger of Ford Ranger
- 3:26wildtrak. Best car ever had fantastic.
- 3:29So, you know, if Ford, if you ever want to sponsor the show,
- 3:33feel free going on. The volume selling dual cab
- 3:38versions of these units are also the four-wheel drive versions
- 3:42favored by more than just trade these for those weekend
- 3:45adventurers, then that's me. And my wife love to go camping
- 3:48this weekend. I'm going camping.
- 3:51Who are the southern end of the whitsundays?
- 3:54The Fantastic camping. Near the beach.
- 3:58Anyway, continuing on former deputy prime minister Barnaby
- 4:02Joyce has warned climate change. Minister Chris bones plan to
- 4:07introduce fuel efficiency. Standards was a threat to the
- 4:11affordable, four-wheel drive, in Regional areas, where incomes
- 4:15are lower. Mr. Bowen, has changed the laws
- 4:18on vehicle standards and now we're going to pay more for four
- 4:22wheel drives in country, areas Barnaby Joyce.
- 4:25Told the ABCs inside a program on Sunday.
- 4:28Mr. Bowen. And transport Minister
- 4:31Catherine, King on Friday and there's the federal government
- 4:34would be developing new fuel efficiency standards as part of
- 4:38a national electric vehicle strategy in 2022.
- 4:42So far, Evie's had a very small one point six percent market
- 4:47share with Tesla. Now included the federal chamber
- 4:51of Automotive Industries data covering January to July But mr.
- 4:55Kenan Brooks, you know, the billionaire, who sticks his nose
- 4:58in and advocate for for renewable energy, who co-founded
- 5:02software giant atlassian. Which by the way is starting to
- 5:07lose its market share because they haven't kept up with the
- 5:10times. Anyway, they want, he wants that
- 5:15to multiply fivefold within two years to get to ten percent by
- 5:202020 for we have to have the belief that it is possible.
- 5:24This is And Brooks told the national electric vehicle Summit
- 5:28in Canberra on Friday. Our standards cannot be a step
- 5:32forward from where we are today. They have to catch up to where
- 5:37the rest of the world is. Dr. Morton more pointed out.
- 5:40That New Zealand had subsidies of up to eight New Zealand
- 5:44Dollars. 8625 dollars for new, EV purchases and had since April
- 5:50introduced penalties of up to New Zealand, 4,500 Dollars for
- 5:55those who bought new petrol or diesel powered vehicles.
- 5:59She says Australia would have to also impose a similarly harsh
- 6:04penalty and copy New Zealand's, very generous subsidy scheme.
- 6:09The penalty is going to have be a major difference.
- 6:11She told this is the so called flipping expert.
- 6:15She told. Daily Mail Australia, you can
- 6:18change the taxes to make it more benefit, beneficial for uptake
- 6:22of Evie's, a subsidy only makes it more Attractive dr.
- 6:26Mortimer said Australia, would have to reduce its average car
- 6:30emissions, by 40% to be comparable with Europe, where
- 6:34electric vehicles, comprise a majority of new cars in Norway.
- 6:39It's good to it's good to compare our use of electric
- 6:43vehicles to a country. Like Norway, I mean, you know,
- 6:46there's a lot of similarities. Norway is a tiny minuscule,
- 6:49little nation in Europe and Australia is a massive, massive
- 6:55Tent where you can go in some places and travel for hours
- 7:00without seeing a petrol Bowser. So yeah.
- 7:03It makes sense to compare us to what happens in Norway.
- 7:07Like I said these, these so-called experts when people
- 7:11come out and all they want to do is add taxes on, you know, you
- 7:16know, you're in trouble. I've been saying this for a
- 7:18while, electric vehicles, will provide governments with the
- 7:22ability to control its citizens. Beyond ways that we can have
- 7:27never thought imaginable. Just the last couple of months
- 7:31we've seen great pressures, put upon our electric grid system.
- 7:36Could you imagine if the electric vehicle the amount of
- 7:40electric vehicles? In that Nation went up fivefold
- 7:45within a couple of months, our luxury grids, wouldn't be able
- 7:49to handle the pressure and we are already at the point where
- 7:52our electric grids, feel the strain.
- 7:55Pain of being overloaded, but I've reported on what's
- 7:58happening in the UK, okay? Where the government can place
- 8:02restrictions on when you are when you charge your vehicle,
- 8:06even in your even in your own home, they put restrictions on
- 8:10homeowners the type of charging system that they have to have.
- 8:14The charging system has to be connected to the grid.
- 8:18The government can, the government can monitor What's
- 8:22happening with the grid and if they feel there's too much
- 8:25pressure, put on the general grid, the electric grid they can
- 8:29switch off when you are charging.
- 8:32They can put restrictions on when you can charge and if
- 8:35there's too much pressure they can actually stop your vehicle
- 8:38from being charged. Another words they can control
- 8:42how much power you have in your vehicle.
- 8:46You can get up the next morning, pinky your vehicles being
- 8:49charged overnight and find out that your vehicle hasn't been
- 8:53charged. And instead of being able to
- 8:54drive all day, you can would you probably can't even drive
- 8:57because you can't take the risk. This will just give the
- 9:00government's more power, more control.
- 9:03And these fools at stay, let's stand up and say, well, we just
- 9:07need to. We just need to penalize people
- 9:10for having the choice for making their own choice and buying a
- 9:13petrol or diesel vehicle. These so-called experts, and
- 9:17these pain in the butt billionaires, like, Ken and
- 9:19Brooks need to mind their own business.
- 9:23Anyway, you know where I think this is all leading.
- 9:26This is leading towards the One World Government.
- 9:30This is leading to Greater Powers towards our governments
- 9:33that they can have greater control over the everyday
- 9:37citizens life. We are on a slippery.
- 9:41Slope don't allow ourselves don't allow yourselves to be
- 9:44pressured into buying an electric vehicle.
- 9:48We need to hold our politicians accountable.
- 9:51And tell them we want to have the choice, and not be
- 9:56penalized, because because we decide we want a petrol or
- 9:59diesel vehicle and not be pressured down the road that we
- 10:03don't want to go. That's my opinion.
- 10:06Thank you for listening to the slippery slope.
