- 0:00Speaker 1: Yes to meet, Thank you for having me.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Yes, Welcome to heavy Man. So you guys have been
- 0:05Speaker 2: busy the new album coming out.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been a long wait until we finally released
- 0:12Speaker 3: the album. But it's been crazy how many people have
- 0:17Speaker 3: been waiting and the responses over whil we are very
- 0:19Speaker 3: thankful for that.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Oh, excellent, excellent. So tell me a would have been bad? Yeah,
- 0:24Speaker 2: having together this album for yourself? What was the process like.
- 0:28Speaker 3: In Yeah, I mean our previous album was released like
- 0:37Speaker 3: four years ago, so many people were expecting like something
- 0:42Speaker 3: rand new I can understand, but reality is that we've
- 0:47Speaker 3: finally had all the songs together like in twenty twenty four,
- 0:54Speaker 3: and yeah, it's it's been two years ago, right, So
- 0:58Speaker 3: we had to wait until we had a plan, proper
- 1:02Speaker 3: schedule with the record label, and that took longer than
- 1:06Speaker 3: we expected. But it was crazy because we ended the
- 1:11Speaker 3: writing sessions for this album like in six months, and
- 1:14Speaker 3: we filming the video clips and prepare the artwork all
- 1:18Speaker 3: together like in very few times. So it's been very
- 1:21Speaker 3: exciting to see how everything was slowly taking shape. And yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 3: I mean every album is a challenge for this band
- 1:31Speaker 3: because you know, you try to sharpen your skills asmart
- 1:36Speaker 3: as you can, and you try to do something different
- 1:39Speaker 3: but not too different.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So it's difficult to find the balance.
- 1:41Speaker 3: But finally here we are with a bunch of good
- 1:45Speaker 3: songs and I hope everybody enjoys it.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so I give it the sink list before.
- 1:49Speaker 2: It's nice sighting heavy gets stressed the point you've got
- 1:54Speaker 2: got that room seeking amobotics sort of as well as the.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Metal, which is a nice, nice touch to it.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So so for yourself, do you enjoy being the leading
- 2:03Speaker 2: way of the.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Even for the lyrics has been different this time because
- 2:16Speaker 3: usually I feel like I hide myself behind the metaphors. Uh.
- 2:20Speaker 3: It's difficult when you play this metal to find this
- 2:22Speaker 3: balance between speaking to things that everybody has in common
- 2:27Speaker 3: but without sounding too cheesy. So it's been like a
- 2:32Speaker 3: vulnerable stage of my life, I guess. And it's the
- 2:36Speaker 3: first time I talk in first person, so that has
- 2:39Speaker 3: a big It's a big change from the previous albums.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Also, how we wrote the songs.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Usually guys just spend a lot of time trying to
- 2:49Speaker 3: decide the right structure for some of the parts, and
- 2:53Speaker 3: this time it was something that came naturally they started
- 2:56Speaker 3: writing for no reason, like I have this idea in mind,
- 2:59Speaker 3: if you inspired, let's write a riff and then let's
- 3:03Speaker 3: put it all together, and how it went all the
- 3:05Speaker 3: life nice?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Nice, And so you had a feeling that you touch
- 3:11Speaker 2: hands on.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Approach with yourself is main big difference it.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, a little bit.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Of yourself goes into the album, which is always a
- 3:18Speaker 4: little scary.
- 3:19Speaker 3: When you yeah, absolutely, yeah, absolutely, and also talking about
- 3:24Speaker 3: stuff like the current situation worldwide politically and the world going.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I never felt very comfortable we talk with these kind
- 3:32Speaker 3: of things because you know, you have in mind like okay,
- 3:35Speaker 3: flash bands do that, but in death metally, it's not
- 3:38Speaker 3: that very common, and it's always like okay, if you
- 3:41Speaker 3: think about what it shouldn't be, you're limiting yourself to
- 3:46Speaker 3: talk about specific things, right, And it's important to talk
- 3:49Speaker 3: about what's going on and how that affects to your
- 3:52Speaker 3: music or or to you as an individual.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think that brings a certain element
- 3:57Speaker 2: of illness about you know, music. When others are able
- 4:00Speaker 2: to do that and you know, transpire that and mix
- 4:02Speaker 2: it with you know, the genre, it's certainly.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Something that you know it shouldn't be.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Left alone, and yeah, absolutely, I think you know your
- 4:10Speaker 5: current requirement in Brymo, which were all feeling in some ways,
- 4:14Speaker 5: you know, so, yeah, so yourself is coming from staying.
- 4:17Speaker 4: How is it being a death battle band in steying?
- 4:20Speaker 4: Is it? It's not exactly the normal way. You guys
- 4:23Speaker 4: are a bit of a niche in that. Yeah, how
- 4:27Speaker 4: has that experienced yourselves? Is it?
- 4:29Speaker 1: You enjoy it? Yeah?
- 4:31Speaker 4: Overwhelming times?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Imagine absolutely.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I mean the craziest part is that we think that
- 4:38Speaker 3: everything it's normal. We don't think about it like as
- 4:41Speaker 3: as something really crazy and yeah, I don't know. That
- 4:46Speaker 3: pieces me off a lot because you wake up and
- 4:48Speaker 3: you just have this privileged life, like you have a house,
- 4:52Speaker 3: a family. Nothing is wrung. Apparently you have your issues obviously,
- 4:57Speaker 3: but nothing like being in the middle of a world.
- 5:00Speaker 3: It's like this common feeling of this connection between one
- 5:04Speaker 3: country and the other. And even with your neighbor sometimes
- 5:07Speaker 3: you don't even know them.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And it's it's bad.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Because when you feel lonely, it's impossible to connect if
- 5:15Speaker 3: you don't have like certain kind of relationships, right, and
- 5:19Speaker 3: you don't need to have I'm not talking about friends,
- 5:22Speaker 3: but even I don't know if you need to help
- 5:26Speaker 3: for I don't know whatever it is, and you can
- 5:28Speaker 3: knock the door of your neighbor and that's it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That happened like many years ago, but not nowadays.
- 5:34Speaker 3: And I think that's something bad for this era that
- 5:38Speaker 3: we live in. And this album talks a bit about
- 5:40Speaker 3: that too, about being lonely in the middle of this craziness.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Sure, any way, are in a world that's so connected
- 5:47Speaker 2: technology technologically, where so just connected from you know, even
- 5:51Speaker 2: and things that are so it's kind of bizarre. And
- 5:55Speaker 2: again in a world full of so much information available
- 5:57Speaker 2: with its informed ones as well.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Some is it certainly very it's a very week well believing.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And then go to music and the metal because it's
- 6:06Speaker 2: a good way to you know, escape from that or
- 6:08Speaker 2: just you know, get it out and find that connection.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Music is the universal language, so to speak, and I
- 6:14Speaker 4: think with.
- 6:14Speaker 2: That, yeah, metal absolutely heavy metal, and we're all sort
- 6:18Speaker 2: of have this on that saying, you know from that's
- 6:21Speaker 2: cut from the same fabric kind of it, so to speak.
- 6:22Speaker 2: You know, we will.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Find that coming round. I think through it definitely, and
- 6:27Speaker 4: it's it's quite.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Ste Yeah, it's it's like having a big family. You know,
- 6:31Speaker 3: when you feel lonely, when you are struggling, you just
- 6:35Speaker 3: go to the you know, to spotify whatever music from
- 6:38Speaker 3: you use and just listen to your favorite songs and
- 6:41Speaker 3: you feel.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Like, Okay, I'm home. You go to a show. It's
- 6:44Speaker 1: like easy, you know, and that's fantastic.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I don't think that happened with other music genres at
- 6:50Speaker 3: this level, So no, I.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Don't think it does.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I think, yeah, definitely metal. It's it's it's something quite
- 6:55Speaker 2: unique to now gurning around. We're very lucky to have that.
- 6:58Speaker 2: And I think most people that I speak to it
- 7:00Speaker 2: and I know I'm seeing it, we all think on
- 7:02Speaker 2: that same level.
- 7:03Speaker 4: So it's something we overy close to our heart for sure.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 2: So during for you guys plain life, which is amazing
- 7:10Speaker 2: to be part of them to this witness as well,
- 7:13Speaker 2: like both on stage and all. Have you guys got
- 7:15Speaker 2: plans to tour or what has that? Have you engineering
- 7:18Speaker 2: being able to do that.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Last Yeah, with the previous album, it was funny because
- 7:25Speaker 3: we started playing like a progs like one year after
- 7:29Speaker 3: the release because it happened the same and now that
- 7:32Speaker 3: you put an album in the middle of the summer,
- 7:34Speaker 3: so all the summer festivals are just happening and you
- 7:37Speaker 3: need to be there, like you know, you need to
- 7:39Speaker 3: prepare for that in autumn, like September October when promoters decided.
- 7:44Speaker 1: To to have you there.
- 7:46Speaker 3: But once we started, we managed to do two Asian tours.
- 7:51Speaker 3: We've been in North Korea, Japan, China. That was fantastic.
- 7:55Speaker 3: The first time was important.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a crazy experience.
- 8:00Speaker 3: First time we were supporting like in fact, The Rain,
- 8:02Speaker 3: and second time we were supporting Ginger, which is one
- 8:06Speaker 3: of our favorite bands. So that was really great and
- 8:09Speaker 3: it was amazing because it's a total different market and
- 8:14Speaker 3: we were playing for I don't know, two thousand people
- 8:17Speaker 3: maybe and Ginger was surprised because not many people knew them,
- 8:21Speaker 3: so we were like shocked, you.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Know, it was like, wow, this is different. Yeah, it's
- 8:26Speaker 1: a different universe. We also played grasp Bow. We started to.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Play some international festivals and that's fantastic because for us,
- 8:35Speaker 3: as a Spanish band, we feel like we have this
- 8:38Speaker 3: big wall in.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Front of us, impossible to climb.
- 8:43Speaker 3: We live in a difficult market, theis Iranian countries. We
- 8:46Speaker 3: don't sell so much records as other countries, you know,
- 8:50Speaker 3: and record labels don't trust these kind of countries to
- 8:56Speaker 3: have a band working at certain levels. But I feel
- 9:01Speaker 3: like we started breaking those walls and I'm very I'm
- 9:05Speaker 3: very trustful with this album, so we can make continue
- 9:09Speaker 3: on the same level. And we're gonna play some shows,
- 9:12Speaker 3: just a quick start here in Spain in our country
- 9:15Speaker 3: or opening for Crypta, and after that we have some
- 9:19Speaker 3: stuff here and there, and we're working on the upcoming tours.
- 9:23Speaker 3: We've been thinking about maybe I don't know if it
- 9:27Speaker 3: would be possible for next year, because you know, business
- 9:30Speaker 3: and everything takes a lot of time. But the States US,
- 9:34Speaker 3: it's definitely one of our first stadgets. Most part of
- 9:38Speaker 3: our listeners are there, so it would be fantastic if
- 9:41Speaker 3: we managed to make that to happen in the upcoming
- 9:44Speaker 3: year or the next.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Like it's definitely I think it would be very doable.
- 9:48Speaker 4: With yourselves.
- 9:49Speaker 2: You've certainly got a store following and bringing back here
- 9:52Speaker 2: in sight thing like say you must see.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Instance from there.
- 9:54Speaker 2: It's a good way to you know, to say that
- 9:57Speaker 2: next sleeve and that step up hopefully when.
- 10:00Speaker 4: We might sit down that great Yeah nice it is everywhere.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah, we want to go everywhere, you know, as far
- 10:09Speaker 3: as we can go, that'd be fantastic for shows.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Definitely exciting our joys as towards that some that's always
- 10:15Speaker 2: really promising and then rights out into Europe. It's just
- 10:18Speaker 2: the costal touring sas you know, picking for bands and
- 10:21Speaker 2: as well.
- 10:21Speaker 4: But no, that's some it's certainly hopefully.
- 10:25Speaker 2: The new album certainly picks up that traction, So it's
- 10:28Speaker 2: some out on is it the twelfth.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Ja, yes, yes, five days?
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah, way, that's exciting.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So you're having plans, yeah, I release party or anything
- 10:37Speaker 2: like that, and plans to celebrate.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yeah, as the first show of these upcoming shows. Uh,
- 10:44Speaker 3: it's gonna be a next Friday, it's a release day.
- 10:47Speaker 3: So after that we will have like a release party
- 10:50Speaker 3: in our city. And yeah, we're planning for to do
- 10:53Speaker 3: more stuff, you know, because summer it's weird if you
- 10:56Speaker 3: don't have summer festivals to play because everyone is there,
- 11:00Speaker 3: and it's difficult to put shows in between because not
- 11:02Speaker 3: many people show up. They are you know, some people
- 11:05Speaker 3: go to grasp but other people go to help us
- 11:08Speaker 3: back in summer Breeze. There's a huge offer of different
- 11:12Speaker 3: festivals and it's difficult and also for touring it's quite
- 11:16Speaker 3: complicated nowadays with the high coast of gas transfer and everything.
- 11:21Speaker 3: It's I've been talking with some other musicians lately and they,
- 11:26Speaker 3: for example, Saki is from broad in christ was saying
- 11:30Speaker 3: this weekend that he has been touring the States with
- 11:32Speaker 3: the Kimoth and Borgan. I guess, yeah, they are one
- 11:40Speaker 3: of my favorite bands.
- 11:41Speaker 4: For You're Sorry, great to stay live, It's amazing. So yes,
- 11:44Speaker 4: I love that that informative the side of metal needs.
- 11:48Speaker 4: It's welcome come back for sure.
- 11:51Speaker 1: It's the best, definitely.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And one of the things that I love the most
- 11:54Speaker 3: from the Chimis is that they starting changing.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Like the the.
- 11:59Speaker 3: The globe and years, you know, like the art in
- 12:03Speaker 3: the middle of a scene that was quite you know,
- 12:06Speaker 3: being a true black metal fan, it's complicated because it's
- 12:09Speaker 3: very limitated.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And they started wearing like barrels, feathers, whatever it was, man.
- 12:14Speaker 4: And dream like.
- 12:15Speaker 2: They said like, you know, there'll be more and more
- 12:17Speaker 2: dark towards the end, which I think is great, like
- 12:19Speaker 2: it's got to think within itself, which was just wonderful
- 12:22Speaker 2: to say.
- 12:23Speaker 1: And yeah, that was pure entertainment. Yeah, it was that.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I kind of loved it that were so calm as well,
- 12:29Speaker 2: like there was no dramas in the audience.
- 12:30Speaker 4: It was really boudy to say, and all was very
- 12:34Speaker 4: very cutry. I felt very very fortunate and what of
- 12:38Speaker 4: gratitude winess. That was awesome. So yeah, yeah, they so
- 12:44Speaker 4: love Hunter is certainly on the right track people.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Well, definitely, we've been trying different stuff.
- 12:52Speaker 1: For example, with the first single, the double Song, we thought.
- 12:56Speaker 3: About, okay, we can film another video clip with a
- 12:59Speaker 3: band in the in the background, you know, but that's
- 13:02Speaker 3: not quite interesting at this point, so let's start with
- 13:05Speaker 3: something totally different. And we were wearing suits, like super
- 13:09Speaker 3: elegant quothes in a red background, and we were trying
- 13:13Speaker 3: to do something like kind of different, so we didn't
- 13:16Speaker 3: feel like again the same ting another band playing you know,
- 13:19Speaker 3: blah blah. And I think it worked because many people
- 13:22Speaker 3: were like surprised, I got what you're playing, like stream metal?
- 13:26Speaker 1: What is that?
- 13:26Speaker 3: And that was pretty cool. I think it was a
- 13:29Speaker 3: video that went out and worked pretty well. And say
- 13:32Speaker 3: with the others, you have like the common stuff obviously,
- 13:35Speaker 3: because it's impossible not to have it, like as I
- 13:38Speaker 3: said before, the band wearing black and playing instruments whatever.
- 13:42Speaker 3: But you also have Actually this Friday, we will release
- 13:46Speaker 3: a new video clip with the releast of the album,
- 13:49Speaker 3: and we've been thinking about taking parts of our own story, uh,
- 13:54Speaker 3: to have a different version of the song, you know,
- 13:57Speaker 3: so we appear performing different parts of life. For example
- 14:01Speaker 3: one of us, it's reminding this this thing of being
- 14:06Speaker 3: locked in an office from nine to five, uh, with
- 14:10Speaker 3: the boss yelling in your ear, and then you'll find
- 14:14Speaker 3: music and everything changes inside and outside and you start
- 14:18Speaker 3: doing stuff in that way. And yeah, I think this
- 14:23Speaker 3: is gonna be a super emotional video clip for us
- 14:27Speaker 3: because it's also our own story from different perspectives, and
- 14:31Speaker 3: you have some live footage also from festivals and past shows. Yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 3: so I think it's gonna be like the perfect you
- 14:39Speaker 3: know ending for the to prepare the release.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 14:43Speaker 2: It sounds like you pertly a lot to you know,
- 14:45Speaker 2: drave from and speak creative with it. So it's nts
- 14:48Speaker 2: and you can do that and like you said, you've
- 14:49Speaker 2: got a personal touch with it.
- 14:51Speaker 4: It was special.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's nice.
- 14:57Speaker 4: It's full circle, I say, sure, yeah, totally.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Well, the congratulations that's coming out twelfth of a thank
- 15:05Speaker 2: you and thank you so much for coming and having
- 15:07Speaker 2: a chat with us today Heavy all the best with
- 15:10Speaker 2: your coming to our shows and video isn't arrest and
- 15:14Speaker 2: hopefully we'll see you guys down sometime soon.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah, hopefully, hopefully we'll commet on the road, as we
- 15:20Speaker 3: should say, and thank you for having us. It's very
- 15:23Speaker 3: nice to being able to spread the word about the album,
- 15:26Speaker 3: so thank you and
